Three times I had to call CarShield for them to send someone out to give me a jump. Someone came to help me right away.. I thought if I called them I would have had to pay for them out of pocket. I was surprised that I didn't have to. Whew!!!

Bought warranty to protect my 2012 Ford Focus. In thinking about the annual cost, in just two years I would have paid half of the value of the vehicle. Since I sold my home in April 2021, I have been considering all The real costs to me of all the different Services I pay for now. Thelma.

I called in to have the company email me a week before my auto payment will be withdrawn. This is to allow me to make sure the money is there when the auto payment kicks in. The representative said "ok, she'll set that up". End of conversation. I'm used to being on the phone with any representative that goes over everything for 10 to 15 minutes. This call was short, so I do hope I will be sent an email every month to remind me of my upcoming payment to the company. Sharon **

I called today to have my payment due date changed from the 28th of the month to the 30th. The customer representative was very professional and helpful with assisting me. The service I received was quick and to the point and I was not on hold for a very long time.

Cameron answered my call promptly, was polite, and basically listened, answered my questions, and sent me digital and hard-copy of my contract - and it all took about 2-3 minutes. This was a great experience. Cameron is a keeper and thanks for hiring him. I know customer service is a real expense for companies, but I can't tell you how my experience with a company's customer service department shapes whether I stay with a company long-term. I can only wish that all the companies I deal with for customer service were as good as Cameron was with me today!

The salesman clearly stated and it is in my notes that my second car with gold coverage would receive TWO oil changes per year. I was so amazed and he said good care of the car would be less likely to have trouble and cost CarShield more to fix something. That lie was the hook that caught me for when I called to ask where I should take it, I was told, "Oh no, regular maintenance is in you" (me). I am so disappointed and have been pimped by another car company that does the same for less but since I had you already I stayed.

Very happy with Brandon And George the drive. One other lady help with my account number and she connected me the AAA. I want to thank you. My daughter didn't have to wait long. 45 min and George was there. He talk to her while she was riding. He also came up and talk to me after he drove the car in the driveway.

I've had occasion to contact customer care on several occasions. It's always a hassle! Errors are made. I've had to call back 3 separate times to get one issue resolved. It seems nothing I need is covered by CarShield. I'm not impressed!

I had a positive experience with representative, Kayla **. She was very positive, pleasant and it did not take long to go through the process. The only thing I will say is it would save time if you notify us before calling you to have our mileage and VIN info. ready. I had my mileage ready just in case, but Kayla waited for me to find my VIN info. Maybe I should have known that, but it did not cross my mind that you would need it at that point. Not negative just a note.

Help me with payment arrangements during my hardship when I didn't want to lose my coverage on both my vehicles. The representative was knowledgeable of their product and what was available for me to assure I had complete coverage, instead of me losing a great plan.

I do NOT recommend Carshield!!! I have a Nissan Sentra with 94,000 miles the entire time I had I changed the oil and rotated the tires regularly. I got it inspected yearly, I did the 60,000 and 90,000 miles maintenance checks. I changed tires, brakes, engine fluids and transmission fluids every time it was recommended. In October at inspection they said the computer shows no problems at this time, the engine light is not on and it passes inspection, but when you start the car it’s kinda loud which “could be” an indication that the transmission is going bad. I ask how much would that cost and he said $5000. I said, "Well I don’t have $5000 to change a part the car and your computer doesn’t think is bad yet."
I purchased carshield in case something would happen, they knew there was 94,000, which is why they recommended their gold package which cost $160 per month. I purchased it and paid it every month on time for 9 months, that’s $1,440.00 total. The car broke down and the part that’s bad they claim is the transmission. My quest to find a mechanic was difficult as several refused to help me the dealership, Gillece and several others as they said Carshield is difficult to work with. Finally I found a mechanic willing to work with Carshield and they denied the claim because they said the dealership told me the transmission was bad in October which they absolutely did not. They are a typical insurance company offer to help, you pay, but when you need them, they find a way to refuse. I do NOT recommend, I could’ve put the $160 a month away and had $1,440.00 for my daughter to use toward something else. I totally wasted 1,440.00.

I called to cancel the warranty for a vehicle I no longer have, and Nigel was a HOOT! I sure wish there were more people like him in this world! I didn't have an issue where I actually needed this coverage, but it was a comfort knowing that I had it. I will continue the coverage on my truck until it is no longer coverable.

When I received a late notice in the mail, I called Car Shield to find out why! All my payments were paid on time and in full. The girl I talked to was very calming and told me that it was just marketing material and that my account was current and she would put a note on my account to keep any more marketing material from being sent to me in the future.

I was impressed with the CarShield Rep willingness to promptly assist me with the claim. The Serviceman was too busy to call to start the claim process, so I called CarShiled and got a wonderful person who assisted me by calling the shop to started the process. Not feeling well about the Huge cost, it took my stress level right down. THAT WAS A BIG DEAL FOR ME. THANK YOU!!!! The claim was approved (1/2 the price) the same day, therefore I was able to drive my car out the same day. Thanks for great customer service. When I got into my car the dash said my ac was automatically turned off because my engine was overheated, but how could that be since the car hadn’t been driven in 14 hours, so you guys towed it to my dealership on Wednesday 8/19/21 and they called me on Thursday 8/20/21 and told me what was going on. They also found some other issue and they’re gonna fix that too. The representative from American Auto Shield told me that they reimburse for rental car, well that’s NOT TRUE because I just read the contract and it says there must be at least 4 hours of labor, well the total labor hours are 3.4 hours so even though I can’t drive my car until it gets repaired I have to have a car for work, and now I’m stuck paying a car rental that I can’t afford. When you advertise you should tell the world on your commercials that if the customer needs repairs until 4 labor you do not pay for a rental car.

Of the 3 claims I had Car Shield only agreed to pay on one. I had $100 deductible but my out of pocket cost ended up being over $400 out of pocket because Car Shield would only pay for the cost of the faulty item and labor but refused to cover the cost of the mounting hardware. I canceled my account.

Very Professional and forthcoming with info on filing claim, how to go about it, and who to use for the repair. Spoke to a CSA earlier who was as proficient in automobile lingo and was of no help at all. After requesting to speak with someone who was more knowledgeable; she gave me the impression that she was incapable of doing that. Decided to call back and spoke with ISSA. Unfortunately He is not able to answer all the calls but, he should definitely be training others on how to handle the clients. People takes their cars seriously and it is one of the reasons CarShield has the clientele that it has. Really appreciate this CSA for answer my called. Very please with the info he provided in such a short period of time and his thoroughness.

I am not happy with Autoshield/Carshield. You guys take y'all time on fixing vehicles and y'all don't honor y'all contract. My car was at the repair place for almost a month for y'all to tell me that I have to pay out of pocket more than my 100$ deductible. This is my last month with you all and I wouldn't recommend y'all to nobody. Thanks for nothing. Don't tell y'all contract holders to take their vehicle to any repair shop if y'all are not going honor the contract and they have to pay more than the deductible.

Upset with claims procedure which needs an inspector for verification (2-3) days out. Need for additional pictures that are virtual duplicates of what the inspector submitted!! Inconvenience of loss of vehicle, involving re-inspections, approval, parts ordering, and fitting into scheduling for work to finally get done!!!!

As a fiduciary financial advisor I would recommend you AVOID this company at all costs. Typical insurance company. My clients will not fall for this scam. Fancy marketing is all this place is. 3 weeks, no response. Rope a dope. Don’t be a dope like me even though I was smart enough to get an extended warranty on a vehicle I love and take such good care of. I will be suing.

A very long drawn out process. A lot of repair places don't accept it and waiting for a reply to authorize repairs takes a long time. REPAIR places say they are difficult to work with. Not many options here. Disappointing experience.

I found the Customer Representative that I spoke with to be very professional in all aspects of our conversation. I ordered CarShield after seeing an ad on TV. The salesperson who helped me was very friendly and knowledgeable. The paperwork arrived by email shortly thereafter. I had the plan for a little over a year without problems. I then called to cancel the plan when I got a new car. Again, everything went very smoothly. However, I have not "tested" Car Shield for the most important part, which is how they handle claims. Hopefully, it is as easy and as delightful as signing up and canceling!

I did not know of the 250 mile, 40 day waiting period (which helped my CarShield payment guarantee). Also, I was not aware of the exact method & date of my payment schedule. Representatives were very courteous and knowledgeable. I had only been aware of the 20 day, 500 mile waiting period.

I have had my coverage for over a year. I have never needed to use it until recently. My water pump failed and found out that the gasket also needed to be replaced and a bolt. It appears since the bolt failed first and caused the gasket to fail, even though the gasket is covered, since the bolt happened first it is not covered. So I was out of pocket $1800. At least the water pump was covered. The AC then had an issue. I was told that Carshield would only pay for a part to be sent in and that to use the dealer part, I would have to pay the difference. Also they would not pay for all the labor. I would have to pay the difference to have the part installed.
The part was supposed to arrive within 24-48 hours. It took 4 days to arrive. It finally got installed and I took my truck home only to have the AC fail 24 hours later. I am in Texas and it is August. It was not pleasant. Take it back to the dealer and find out the part sent by Carshield failed. I asked for the dealer part to be used and was told that should not be an issue but to the failure and also the time I have been waiting. The dealer called to have it approved and it was denied. The appraiser refuses to speak to the customer. So they are sending yet another part, from the same vendor, which failed before, back to fix the truck. For what I have spent on this warranty over the last year compared to what I got is not worth it. The customer service is terrible. The parts are not dependable. Having to take your vehicle back and forth, wait for car shield to respond and approve things is so time consuming. I cancelled my policy today and will never use them again.

I got denied service but was offered a discount. The lady on the phone was very helpful and accommodating. I think they need to rewrite the rules to include engine bolts. As far as I am concerned they are part of the engine. I would like someone to explain to me why they wouldn't cover bolts on covered items.

We were without a car for over a week because nobody contacted us for records of our car service records. My battery was dead, I call CarShield. I was told someone would reach out to me in about 10 minutes. After 35 minutes I heard nothing, I called back and was told ..They are working on it ..But, the dispatchers were handling people on major roadways and because I was in a parking lot, I was not high priority. I waited another 40 mins, called back .. No one had been sent .. By this time my spouse got home and came and jumped my car ... I'm going to cancel this plan [have my bank stop any withdrawal from CarShield] and go with another company.. I brought my car I had a towed to 112 Messenger Chevrolet and it's sad and the dealership for 5 days and they told me the car only needed a battery. I did research on my technician for 50 years and I'm still a technician in Florida at this time and I turned around and told him that I have an outside warranty company. I told him it was Car Shield and they never connected with car shield because they couldn't verify the concern or I didn't have no DDC codes and with a battery nobody covers the battery so the car is at and I instructed them to change the battery, change your crankshaft sensor which was bad and do a fuel pressure check coz I wanted to see what the readings were. They did what I asked.
They called me to follow. They said the car is ready. I took the car and I have no problem. I had the car shipped from Long Island New York to Florida. Now I have the car. The car runs excellent. I sent the bill and the bill for the towing by fax to carshield and I still have no answer. At least give me some sort of answer. I've been totally stressed out about this. I've been paying car shield for almost two and a half years and when I needed help nobody helped me. I had to pay out of pocket myself. I spoke to one of your people named Ken and I told him what my situation was and he told me how much they're going to going to pay me a partial amount for the towing and since then I haven't heard nothing yet so please at least give me some sort of information what car shield is going to do or not to my email address is **. The start of my notifying you was a nightmare. Parts not ordered then when I told the service rep that the mechanic would get the piece the department that Nb orders told my mechanic they were sending this was Monday after I spoke to them and said above. On Tuesday when I call the mechanic he still was waiting for product !!! that I told you send him he was to get. He Left for vacation today but after much stress and calling your reps I final spoke to a rep I believe Carlos? That figured the problem out, gave me what I should pay and was calling him back!!!
I arrived at the mechanics last night at 6:15. The car was still up being fixed. Waited til 8:40 and the piece was missing filter so I still have no air condition and the car has to go back in 10 days when he returns!!! I am a sick, senior and have several Sei tor appointments that now I am unconvinced because your staff messed up!!!’ Thank God Wednesday I got d as one one that knew what they were doing!!!! 4th time service was great. In September of 2020, My 2013 GMC Acadia experienced a issue with the alternator going bad which was covered under Car Shield warranty. Long story short the part was a bad part that car shield vendor's provided the repair shop (the dealer). It was supposed to be warranted. So fast forward currently car shield is refusing to pay for the labor for replacing the warranted alternator. My car has been fixed sitting at the shop for over two weeks but can't get it because they playing games with paying the shop for the labor. I had to pay for the labor myself in order to get my car/truck back which was almost $1,000. Just terrible run from this company. The biggest rip off ever. DO NOT EVER GET A CONTACT WITH THEM PLEASE!!!!

Needed tow to have car sent to a shop that you deal with, had to find someone that would tow for the amount you were willing to pay. Next I had to wait to get a rent a car because shop could not get to my car until Monday to do the diagnostics even though you were given that by previous shop. Have to pay out of my own pocket if car is not done by your time even if the shop is behind and can’t get my car done for me to have. Not happy with this, will keep coverage until I find something else.

Needed a tow for my dead car and was quickly sent out and taken to my repair shop. They will call Car Shield when the car is repaired and will keep in touch for any additional needs I may have. Thank you for the best company and staff, ever.

Service was second to none. Service by your representative very, very good. Please keep up the good work. I would tell everyone about your service. If I have to stand by a company. It would be CarShieid? There is nothing bad I could not say about CarShield.

When driving my car on 8/2 a message came up on my dashboard that there was a battery problem. I went to my car repair service and they told me that my alternator was not working to charge my battery. I had to replace both and was happy when CarShield covered the alternator! They saved me close to $300.

Response is too slow when a claim is filed. This is the 4rd time that my vehicle has been in the shop for the same problem. A customer shouldn’t be without their vehicle any longer than a week since policies will only cover 4 days of a rental vehicle. I have been without my vehicle for over 2 months this time around. Stop going the cheapest way around. Go with what the OEM recommends.

Nathan was very helpful and offered discounts that align with my budget. Side note: He did mention he would send a follow up email with certified automotive shops that are Carshield compatible in my area in case I need to file another claim in the future but I have yet to receive the list of locations. Otherwise customer service was great.

The representative I spoke with was very professional, kind, friendly and helpful. She answered all of my questions about cancelling my contract and also advised me how to reinstate the contract if we decided to do so, and if we bought another vehicle she gave me the number to call to add the new vehicle. She also expressed how sorry she was to lose me as a customer. Thank you Car Shield for great customer service.

Car was at repair facility from Tuesday until Friday. Inspector left cryptic message, did not identify himself by name and said the claim was denied due to not meeting grace period of 40 days. When I signed up the representative never mentioned the 40 day period, only said: 20 days and 500 miles which I did meet. The last person I spoke with arranged for vehicle to be towed to another repair facility where it is currently being worked on to fix the water pump. Far too many stipulations.! 28-page contract. Ridiculous.!

I was not happy with the service I received. The mechanic also said the rep. Was rude to him. He said Bobby was extremely nice and helpful. I have a question regarding my denial and I couldn't get to anyone who could explain. The lady I spoke to was stuck on one part which was AC compressor is approved but compressor clutch isn't. I understand that but I had a few questions which she would not listen because all she kept saying was the compressor clutch wasn't covered. I am soooo close to closing this account if this is what I have to deal with in the future.

My experience with the gentleman was very good. He knew just what I needed and he made sure that I honestly did everything he was saying. He really cared about me and listen to me and he cared about and listened to me. He understood me and made sure everything will be all right.

My car was hit and totaled by insurance co. Inspection. On July 30th at 4:30 in the morning outside of my house on the street while I was sleeping. If I pay in advance I should be getting a rebate. My account is paid on the 26th of each month. Thank you. Signed Michael

My car is currently being repaired. My Nissan dealer and Car Shield is approving it. Car is in need of a new transmission and I took it to Nissan dealer for service. They did a diagnostic check in the car and it needs a new transmission. Carshield is in the process of approving it. Thank you very much Car Shield.

Just needed to get information in the mail. I wanted to get this insurance from the the different ads on TV. I felt this would be a good insurance to get since I did not have a car extended warranty. From the TV ads it looked like a good investment with honest people. I would recommend it to others.

The order was to cost $1,810.00. I submitted my claim to Car Shield, car put me in a rental wild. My car was being repaired and deductible was only $100.00 and I was back in my own Vehicle. Thank God for car shield.

Oil sensor went bad as part of engine and I called Carshield and told them what my mechanic told me. After a week they fixed my car. Had mechanic call carshield but was told carshield didn't cover my engine's oil censor. Carshield needs to explain to customers what they cover in more detail.

Continue coverage to the car I purchased through Carvana. Both cars didn't have the need for major repairs, but I feel safe that I have this kind of coverage if I ever need anything repaired on my vehicle short of the regular car maintenance.

My car "MIL" emission light/gas fuel came on so I took it to Meineke and contact Car Shield. The auto shop told me it was a recall matter and that I had to take it to the dealership. Car shield did not have to approve for any service in this matter, but they did provide a tow pickup from the auto shop to the dealership that was no money out of pocket for me. Things all worked out at the end and I'm glad my car is doing well.

New information for a new contract was well presented and made sense to purchase for my pickup. Just giving me information on the different policies was great only for her teaching me what all I have in my policies. Her voice was very friendly and wanted. She had not rushed the conversation which made me able to take my time making sure I had not forgotten anything. Only to call back and get someone different.

My mom's car needed some work done on it and it has been a month waiting for a part. It finally came in yesterday evening. My mom is 83 years old and this has put a lot of stress on her. Someone dropped the ball. I think you should paid the $100.00 deductible and pay for the belt that broke. This was a terrible experience. We have 3 vehicles with you and we are thinking very seriously about dropping the contracts on all of them.

I was worried about the coverage and the representative listened and answered all of my question including sending me a copy of my contract. I can say that the dealer was not helpful while the rep clarified the benefits in my contract

I enjoyed the agent that helped me with my wife's Car Shield change of address and banking process with a new credit card. I'm my wife's "manager" as the computer work intimidates her. As a result, I get all services arranged for her via the computer for her monthly payments.
