I called with simple question... The representative answered my question immediately and efficiently and then I was on to the rest of my day. Thank you from someone who appreciates good customer service!! An old timer like me remember the days when good customer service built companies or lost business because they lacked this quality. I did not get the name of the young man who helped me but if you can locate him for me, please tell him to keep it up.

I just purchased a new vehicle. I tried to transfer it over Car Shield. Told I couldn’t transfer over the insurance to the new car because my new truck has plow type of truck so I talk to someone, told me to write all the information and mail it to car shield which I did

This company rips off its customers. I owned a 2011 BMW in November. The engine failed. An authorized representative of Car Shield authorized the repair facility to tear down the engine to show the point of engine failure. The ultimate decision of Car Shield was to deny the claim, leaving me to pay the repair facility, car rental, and to finally sale what was left of my vehicle in December. I contacted the representative that denied my claim to express my discontent, threatened a lawsuit and demanded to cancel my policy. Months later, I noticed Car Shield has continued to take money from my bank account, and have indicated that I'm not entitled to a refund because I didn't talk with another one of their departments to request a cancellation, even though they have record of my conversation on December 29th.
claims department, which is a completely separate company than us, so we have no way to review their calls, they would have advised that you had to contact us to discontinue service, which once again you did not do until 4/8/22, so there would be no refund due. TV viewers should be made aware of the value of having CarShield's independent vehicle inspectors, I've found out that the dealership would have charged me more than double the repair cost. Which is enough to pay for the warranty coverage.

My vehicle was serviced about a month earlier. All of the sudden the vehicle started heating and I stopped it. Contacted CarShield and was told to take it for repairs. Did so. The motor went bad and CarShield sent an inspector who stated that I had not changed the oil and the case was declined leaving me with 800.00 claim to the body shop because they had to open the motor. He was wrong. I had proof that the full service was done. I don't gain or lose if you choose this company but if I knew what I know now, STAY AWAY.
We do apologize to hear about your experience. We did review the claim and there was a lot of build up present, indicating that there had been a lack of maintenance on the vehicle. It may not have been the most recent service, but it was not properly maintained at some point. I had a question about rental car coverage and the agent was very helpful. My car is at Accurate Auto for mechanical repairs and my warranty coverage is covering a lot of the repair costs! This is a huge blessing to me because I'm a single mother and the coverage is worth paying for monthly in the event mechanical issues happen like what I'm experiencing!

My representative today was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about my coverage, because my call today was about cancelling the policy, since I had never used it, and my mechanic had said he had some customers with bad experiences during claims. But after speaking with Rehanna, I decided to keep my policy intact.

With high gas prices I decided to sell my vehicle and cancel my policy, at first the customer service rep. tried to get me to keep my policy until I bought a new car so they could sell me a warranty on the new car, when I told the rep. I wouldn't be replacing my car he then asked me "Are you Ok?" I was confused at the comment and asked him what he meant. He then repeated his condescending question. When I asked him if he was ok? He said he was and quickly cancelled my policy. Either way, I didn't need the rude unnecessary question that wasn’t in any way required to cancel my policy.
We are sorry to hear this. He was likely trying to be empathetic towards your situation and trying to make sure that everything was ok due to you not replacing your vehicle. For example, if you're not replacing your vehicle, what would you use for transportation? We at CarShield care about each and every one of our customers. With us, you are more than just a number. We try to make sure that no matter what the situation, you are taken care of whether you are still with us or not. We do apologize for any misunderstanding. Call was very professional. The Ford dealer only did an update on the computer so I assume this was not covered by the ins. The dealer did not contact the ins. because they only did an update. CarShield is great and I would recommend this company to anyone who wants your vehicle protected.

I was contacted by a Car Shield Representative at my request. The initial contact was polite & professional. I was transferred to Kim who proceeded to collect my personal information and information on the vehicle I was seeking maintenance coverage on. Kim was professional, courteous, and thorough, as she explained CarShield's program and coverage. Throughout the call Kim allowed me to ask questions, explaining in detail how the Car Shield Program would support my most immediate needs. Through our conversation Kim convinced me to add a second vehicle to my Car Shield contract. I was comfortable with comfortable with what I had heard from Kim about Car Shield's Program, and the value of the program.

So far no really bad issues that were not resolved. Some hiccups like the wrong part sent several times but that is to be expected. Customer service has been great. I would recommend. Wish more of labor charges would be covered. No real complaints

Every time something goes wrong, I call CarShield to see if it is covered and they tell me no. Now my power steering motor is out and I cannot drive the car and they told me it’s not covered!?! They fix power window motors but not power steering motors? What the heck. At $99.99 a month for the last 12 months I could have replaced it myself!

I drove the car to the Toyota dealership, gave them the car, my contract number and the contact phone number. The dealer called me to say he had gotten authorization from CarShield to repair the Toyota. He called me some hours later to let me know he would send someone to pick me up and I could take the Toyota home because it had been repaired.

When I originally called and spoke with seller id#** I was given a price of $99.99 as final price no sales tax, when I called back and spoke to another representative saying I would go with Car Shield my price was increased to $105.99 saying sales tax must be added, What gives??? Not happy with the difference in pricing. My husband is also a veteran.
We do apologize that the first rep did not quote you for the sales tax. Unfortunately, your state is one of only a few states nationwide that requires sales tax, so that first rep that gave you a general quote, likely didn't know your state required tax. My experiences with CarShield were good except for the hassle of being requested to use rebuilt equipment instead of new for repairs. Some of equipment offered for replacement were really not up to acceptable standards to my mechanic and was not what I expected when I took out policy.

Well I did call once, but it did take a while to get some help and before the wrecker could get there. I got the car going and got to the dealership and the warranty covered the repair so I haven’t really used the service but it’s good to know I have it!!

I gave this experience 3 stars, because it was a mix of 5 stars for CarShield, but 0 stars for American Auto Shield. Clayton, with Carshield, was very respectful and eager to help, and he said he will be reaching out to American Auto Shield on Monday to try to help. I don’t understand why there is such a disconnect in coverage on repairs and treatment of customers between Carshield and American Auto Shield. I called Carshield before going to the repair shop this morning (Meineke Car Care Center), and Carshield assured me that the cost of the repair should be fully covered, despite my previous experience, where I had to pay roughly $1,000 out of pocket. The repair to be performed was a tie rod end repaired, covered under my contract, with no exclusions.
I went to the shop, they called American Auto Shield with the repair estimate, and American Auto Shield said they would only pay $70 out of the $280.12 repair, and I would still have to pay a $100 deductible. That means I would actually pay more for the repair if I used American Auto Shield’s service than if I just paid outright for the repair. That is unacceptable and illogical.
I called American Auto Shield, and ended up getting lied to and yelled at by their representative. I wish I had taken down her name, but I did not. She told me that the shop was not willing to use an aftermarket part for the repair (a direct lie, as that was exactly what the shop would use), and she ended up yelling at me when I was trying to get her to explain how they justify not covering the cost of the repair and why I would pay more going through them than if I just paid for it myself. There is a lot more to explain, which I already explained to Clayton, with Carshield. It’s too much to type. I would greatly appreciate CarShield’s help in resolving this matter, and hopefully this kind of issue can be avoided in the future.

I took my car in to Peoria Ford Friday for a check engine light on and they said it was a transmission control module and they would have to keep it to complete the recall for the 100000-mile warranty and would notify CarShield. I gave them all your information and am waiting for their call. Also I went to Enterprise rental as I needed a car...

Purchased the most expensive package offered and was told that it would basically be like a factory warranty from Ford. On 3 separate occasions I’ve tried to utilize this warranty only to be told that on each separate time the part in question is not covered. How is one camera covered but not the others? Makes no sense. Not happy with this warranty at all.

Today Specialist was so very helpful in assisting me with my warranty application. The first Specialist was not very accommodating to my needs for my car. She quoted a high unrealistic price for my car with very low mileage. Once I double checked her quote, I was very unhappy and ready to cancel this agreement. The last representative I had was very helpful; however the one I had before her was terrible and would not let me off of the call and I simply just wanted to cancel. I told her that I couldn't afford it and she kept hounded me to take a lower rate. When I asked to speak to a manager she said she was the highest of the management to speak to. She ended up hanging up on me but the last representative was very nice and cordial.

Today, I had the pleasure of speaking with Ms.** when I called to the Billing Dept to do a change-of-due-date request. Ms. ** was both very professional and very comical, and it was a blessing to speak with her and to find that great customer service is not the lost art that it sometimes seems to be these days. I do know that you need to keep the upkeep of your vehicle in order for them to do their job. If you don't do that they will not fix your vehicle for you. So for them to be able to do their job you have to do your job as well.

The Team is simply Amazing. I was a bit taken back because the air rides are mechanical so I figured they should be covered as well and that is something to think about. If they were regular struts I can see that but these are electronic. Outside of that I can not complain at all.

I was told that my policy was one amount. After I updated my mileage by 4000 miles my policy then increased by 100 dollars without being notified. This is unacceptable. It was a good thing I caught it before I was charged. I would not tell anyone to use your service

Great service! So far so good. I'm use to dealing with the warranty companies who take your money and when it's time for service they find a reason to bail out. As long as you keep maintenance records, you can prove that you take care of your car. Once that's established they will take care of you. Best warranty company I've dealt with.

We had to pay out of pocket for the rental. It was over $350 and we don't have the money to fork out like other people do. It shouldn't have matter how long the car is being repaired. I didn't have the correct mileage at the time of my 1st call so had to call back after contacting my brother and he sent me the correct number since he borrowed the vehicle. 2nd customer service rep. very friendly and directed me to customer service and transferred me to them since my file was now locked and the customer service rep took care of the situation and updated my plan according to my correct mileage and I qualified for platinum protection. Since I was told by my BMW Advisor, my oil pan had a leak, (which shows no signs) I was concerned whether it was covered and was advised it was covered but the headlight (which has moisture inside) was not. My experience was short, I got sick and had to cancel my subscription. It was very quick and easy, they canceled for me, and refunded all of the money I had paid to join the service. I would be willing to sign back up when my health is better.

When Midas was to get paid Car Shield never informed must contact American Auto Shield. I had to pay $1,093.08 to get my car. Then a refund was issued to Midas 1-3-2022 and they were to give to me. They were issued a card but not valid. Had to conference call with district manager to verify information so they could send refund directly to me. It took until 3-3-2022 to get my refund. I get good service but was not informed to go direct to American Auto Shield!

I had previously spoken to Marian in Customer Service and she was very pleasant and helpful. However when I spoke with a rep yesterday to just confirm CarShield had received all info needed to cover repairs on my car, I was so taken back at the rep's response I did not get her name. She stated There was no approval on file and yet I explained that I had given all of my info to the adjuster and was sure they had requested approval. The adjuster stated CarShield needed to call them (Gerber Repair in Jacksonville) and CarShield said the adjuster needed to call them. Bottom line is I am retired and on a fixed income and I am struggling as it is. I am absolutely stressed about not having a vehicle and have missed MANY important medical and various appointments. My contract is the diamond plan which covers steering. The part repaired was in the steering wheel and the part not why it cost me $298.00. I am not satisfied. I am quite upset. What good is your plan if is contradictive!!
We have reviewed the claim and it looks like the shop could not provide a cause of failure for the component. All they were able to advise was that there was a noise, and we can't replace an item just based on a noise. They advised claims that there were no issues turning or any other concern than the noise. If they were able to find a mechanical breakdown with it, they should have reported that so we could verify coverage. If you have any further questions, give us a call.

I was billed twice in March as there was a misunderstanding when I had to change my account number. It was rectified and I won't be billed again until May.. The representative took care of the issue and I was satisfied to allow the double payment to be applied to my April bill.

The dealership called CarShield and was told they didn’t cover a certain part. I called CarShield and they revised their decision to include this part. Our rental car was not covered by CarShield, because you need four hours of labor on the parts covered by CarShield no matter what the total labor actually is.
We apologize for the confusion on the coverage for the water outlet. We did get that updated and covered for you. However, the total verified labor amount for all repairs is only 2.7 hours per the nationally recognized labor guide, so that is all we are able to cover. Rental is only available after 4 hours of covered labor. Hopefully we can assist with rental on your next repair.

I needed a tow, Car Shield was there every step of the way. The representative communicated clearly and gave me all the info that I needed or had requested of her. I needed to call back because my tow took over an hour (which was originally quoted to me). Had service for 10 months. Experienced $2800. Bill for suspension work (not covered). Decided was not worth expense after talking to mechanic. Was told CS required too much verbiage to pay for repairs, usually offered less than estimate. All the while vehicle isn't being repaired.

Cancelled membership, it wasn't worth it. Repair that wasn't covered should of been. Cancelled by email numerous time and was told I have to call for proof and verification. I replied my email is verification of proof. That's a sign of bad customer service, what happened to the company calling the customer?

Well, where to began... As a newly single parent and prices skyrocketing everywhere, vehicle repairs is something I did not want to see at any given point yet what is man made will fail so here I am facing a bill larger than my rent (nearly 3x over) and I was just into my 2nd week of starting my new career. I had not even gotten paid from my new job and was just living off of my unemployment. I was still making sure Car Shield was getting paid even though I had my doubts and I had a little one to provide for. I heard of scams before and really didn't stand in the position of becoming broke by being scammed yet again like before with different things. I sat there looking at my little one at the repair shop, N.T.B. and scared on the inside and smiling on the outside.
The repair shop and CarShield were on the phone a good minute and I just reminded myself that I was going to keep my new job even if I had to walk to make sure we were okay. The repair/sales gentleman came back with news stating, "that worse case scenario you will have to okay out $354.00 out of $2,600.00+." I held in my tears that moment and constantly told him, "Thank you." I sat back and thought, this car shield is no joke and I needed to provide them both with good reviews. I still didn't have even that much to pay but when I left my vehicle there overnight till Monday, I made sure to still count my blessings and look at little one and told them hey when you get your first vehicle make sure to get CarShield and get the diamond plan.
I picked up my vehicle that Monday and paid only $254.04 out of a $$2,600.00+ vehicle repair bill all thanks to Car Shield and the wonderful people who understood my position during times like this. I WILL RECOMMEND CAR SHIELD TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE just as I did that day of payment to the customers inside the repair shop and at work when I was fortunate enough to drive back to work in my repaired vehicle with tears in my eye, a great full heart, and a few dollars left to purchase my little one a Chick-fil-A nugget meal, and gas. I may have not had enough for anything else (yes bills were already paid) but what little I did have I made sure to see my little one smile and to have a tank of gas in my Car Shield paid running vehicle to help me get back and forth to work. Thank you Car Shield so much.

I am very dissatisfied with the service and with the claim, I have Powertrain Gold policy, the best policy you have, and my front crank seal and actuator switch for air conditioning, was not covered, after I called, checked, was told it would cover the parts. I am owed money.
We are sorry to hear this. Unfortunately, Gold is not the best policy we have, it is the highest level of coverage that your specific vehicle qualifies for. We can only cover the components listed in the contract for coverage, and unfortunately, the front crank seal, and mode door actuator are not listed for coverage under the Gold coverage. I was told that the tow service would arrive at 1:00pm. So, I rescheduled my appointment for 1:45pm at the Honda of Ocala Dealership. The tow service didn't arrive until 1:40pm. I had to call the Dealership to let them know what was going on with my 1:45pm appointment at the Dealership.

Went into my Dr. office for a quick minute to get instructions for my upcoming medical procedure and NOOOO!!! My car would not start. Some kind gentlemen tried to give me a jump, that's when we knew it was not the NEW Battery. Call CarShield for a tow truck...which took 2 hours. My friend came to get me and the tow truck took my 05 Nissan to the dealer. It was fixed the next afternoon. Thanks Carshield...again!

Told them at time of purchase that I wanted the best plan they had because I did not want to be hassled at claim time. So I bought the best that was offered. My brother in law had also bought a plan. His motor blew up, and Carshield would not pay a penny on it. Complete denial of any responsibility. He had to pay entire cost of having his engine replaced. I called them on it, and they assured me that my engine would be paid for. They said he had an inferior plan. Then I had a claim. I had purchased the coverage on my granddaughter's vehicle, with a $100 deductible. The claim was only a $387 dollar claim, of which Carshield paid $132, and I had to pay$254.58. They gave my friends at the shop a hard time to get that much paid.
Was going to get the warranty on my 2 vehicles, but not now. When I called them on it, they were not courteous, and all but told me to kiss their butt. So wouldn't recommend anyone to purchase a warranty from these folks. They apparently treat celebrities well to get them to advertise for them. But us everyday folks won't be treated so well. Beware!!!

For 1.5 weeks I have not been successfully in initiating a repair claim. I didn't know previously I had so many hoops to jump to even start one! Between you (America Warranty) whomever, no one is speaking to repair shop and (vice versa). A simple repair is being dragged out. Why? Because I can't simply tell you what repair needs to be done.

Called roadside asst. 2/22/2022 for a tow truck, was told my Jeep did not have a policy but my Lincoln did. Called to find out if upper control arm was covered (it wasn't). I'm finding out more items that are not covered than covered.
We do apologize, however because of your vehicles' age and mileages, neither one qualifies for suspension coverage. We did provide you with the highest level of coverage that your vehicles' qualified for. It's still a great level of coverage. Looking for repair shops affiliated with Car Shield. Called some shops in the past and several on the list are no longer affiliated. The help I received today to use the American Auto Shield website was much appreciated. I did find that Bob Moore Land Rover Jaguar is no longer affiliated with Car Shield. This should be updated. Lastly, how often are these list updated? It is really needed because when car owners need repairs, we want to have the most accurate information.
Sorry you’re having trouble finding a local repair shop that accepts our coverage. We are a nationwide coverage, and do not have the ability to know all of the shops that will and will not accept the coverage. Some shops refuse to take our coverage, however it is not for the reasons you may think. Some shops refuse to take any outside coverage because they want to be in charge of their own prices. There is a nationally recognized labor guide that tells repair facilities what to charge for what services and things like that. But it's up to each individual shop whether or not they want to follow it. With coverage like ours, we keep shops from overcharging our customers and shops don't always like that. We’re happy to stand on our record of servicing over 2 million customers over our 17 years in business. Not to mention our claims department pays out over $3 million in claims every month. If you need help finding other shops in your area, please give us a call.

You haven’t told the repair shop if you will cover it and it’s been over a week! How would you like it if it was your car? I had Tillford do work on my daughter’s car and he’s always been fair! I feel for him because you guys are dragging your feet and the car is just sitting in his shop taking up space!

I called to see if my part was covered and they said yes and then when I went to pick up my vehicle found out it wasn’t. Second time that you failed me. I’m forced to keep the contract because I paid almost a whole two years and I have another three years after that.

The only thing this policy will help me with is if my engine or transmission fail. Power seats aren’t covered like your commercial says. I have spent hundreds of dollars getting things fixed on my vehicle and CarShield didn’t cover any of them.

The replacement of the console for electrical malfunction was covered but not entirely. The balking was on the labor which was standard for my area but CarShield paid only $100/hr. That should be revised by location. And though my calls were handled by very competent and professional folks, the wait time for approval for the shop held up the work. Overall a solid good experience with some improvements in order. Also the premium for me was similar if I had self-funded. As long as they are high, the premium does encourage folks to self-fund next time.

Took my Jeep to the local Jeep Dealership for oil change and asked them about CarShield. I was informed they do not accept due to not paying or not wanting to cover repairs. Apparently, this is not the only dealership that won't accept Carshield. So I will be canceling both my plans on vehicles.

My ignition switch is out on my Ram. The mechanic called it a ignition module so Car Shield doesn’t cover modules but they cover the ignition. Since the mechanic said module I can’t get coverage. The Dodge dealership calls it a wireless ignition node. Oreilly auto parts calls it an ignition switch. So everyone has a different name for it. Regardless of the name I have to put my key in it to start the vehicle it is the ignition switch. I can’t get an adjuster to call me or the mechanic back.
I talked to a man named Matt or Matthew on Tuesday. He give me his extension number so the mechanic could call him however we keep getting a voice mail saying Matt is on the phone. I have left several messages for Matt to return my call. I have even left the mechanic's phone number. We still have not received a returned call. I spoke with another representative on Tuesday and she said Matt is an adjuster and he would be the one to help me. She stated she was sending Matt a message to please call me. Still no call. This part is the switch I have to put my key in it to start the vehicle. Thank you. Clarence
We do apologize, however the shop has advised to claims that the issue is the module, which is not eligible for coverage. If this is incorrect, then the shop would need to call back in and speak to claims to correct the error. They will need to provide diagnostic proving that it is the switch and not the module. I wasn't sure I would be able to stay with them. When I explained why, they found a solution for us both and it keeps my car covered. I have just recently had a break down with my vehicle. We took the van in for a problem. Nissan found 3 more things that needed to be fixed. It took a week for them to get the approval in CAR SHIELD. I had called Car Shield and they said that Nissan hadn't give them an estimate yet. So I was without a car for a week.

We show that you called in on 3/3 to request a copy of your contract by mail. One was sent out on 3/7 and should have been delivered to the distribution center in Fayetteville on 3/13/22. So, you should have that, by now. It was stating that I have not contacted the company to have service contract activated. But I was told it just an advertisement letter. This is a waste of paper.
