Very great customer service knowledgeable respectful and in barometric pressure sensortuitive. I was having a problem with the download from the app I couldn't get it to work. She told me exactly what to do, how to do it and the next thing I know I did what she said and it was working perfect.

Excellent service! Needed service. Got estimate. Got car fixed. Did not have to do anything special. This is the best car insurance out there. I would recommend it to anyone. It is worth every dollar! If your warranty runs out on your vehicle new or used this is definitely the way to go.

Change my car to another vehicle and transferred my policy on my old vehicle to my niece. The young lady who took care of me was very polite and professional. I am very pleased with the way Car Shield has taken care of me ever since I decided to join.

I just was asking them about the two letters I got in the mail. They was cheaper prices so I called him to check on it. They told me that if I bought a new car then the prices would be what they said as low as.

When I call about getting my ID cards the person on the other end of the phone was patience and answered all my question. I ask her about what scales of coverage I had and she told me and she said that she would mail and email what I wanted.

There was a recall on my car and I had to put 1,000 miles on it before they could determine if I needed a new oil tray replaced. Not exactly sure what this meant but the mechanic who did my oil change said I should find out if they were still honoring the recall because it seemed I have an issue with oil pan. As of now I am monitoring the situation. Mechanic specified I will need to repair same.
We do apologize, however we do not cover recalls. All recalls are to be taken care of by the manufacturer and can not be covered by any extended coverage company. If you have any questions about what is and is not covered, give us a call anytime.

CSR was very professional and friendly. She explained everything. Now the proof will be when I need Car Shield how will I rate the service then. The CSR explained the coverage when it began, the how many miles before it become efffective and explained the mobile app, now on my mobile phone.

Buying car shield I have not had to use it yet. But l never thought they would cover my 2001 Tahoe because of the mileage that was on it. But it only took a couple minutes to be approved. This has been over a year ago I have not Had to use it yet. By my mechanic it seems like it will not be any problem whatsoever. They said they’ve had several people that had it and Car Shield took care of the problem if it was covered with no worries. I only had to use the customer service for changing payment system.

All I can say awesome coverage. And everyone I talk to in the past year I've been with you everybody is very knowledgeable of all your policies. It's a very good service to have when you have your representatives call client's customers to check on them and see what they need. That is the ultimate representative. I had no problem with communicating with you, but the customer service reps at the mechanic shop claim that you are not easy to deal with. Personally, I think you did great, and mechanic shops are not always ethical, and honorable organizations to deal with.

Try to open my door for 30 min in a park lot of Jewel Osco with grocery in 88 degree weather, and I am a handicap senior. I got help from someone in the park lots that I appreciate very much. This was bad experience.

We purchased a vehicle mid April 2022. We purchased the CarShield plan, in mid June my vehicle had to be taken in for mechanical work which was supposed to be covered by the plan we purchased thru carshield, however after everything was submitted for approval to do the warranty work carshield rejected our claim, every issue we had was summarized covered by carshield, I'm 76 yrs old on a fixed income and this company scammed me, then they send me a bill after they denied my claim, I called them and told them I no longer wish to use their service, and they insisted that my account would be turned into collections and reported to the credit bureau, my bill was 3700.00 dollars, I had to pay out of pocket.
They would not agree to cover any problem even though the plan I purchased says it was covered, they informed me when I made my vehicle purchase 20 days or 500 miles, well it was 2mos 3000 miles, when I had the break down, I don't know where to go from here, that was my last of my savings, I lost my husband back in December and I could not afford to buy a new vehicle which when I called to complain what the agent informed me, "You should've purchased a new vehicle from the beginning."
I told them that's why I bought preowned because when I purchased the warranty I was assured they were gonna stand behind me if I ever had a problem, well they didn't, and I'm not paying them for continued coverage because they will not honor any claim, even the mechanic I took it to informed me that more than likely even though the plan I purchased they will reject paying it, can you advise me what I should do, because they're threatening to turn my bill in collections, but I was fully paid when my claim was submitted, I feel really taken advantage of.

I had to cancel my service due to the fact my car was totaled. I spoke with two individuals this morning at CarShield and they did a terrific job and they showed great concern. I would definitely recommend CarShield to friends and family as they did a great job for me and protect my car.

My experience was excellent. Since my existing warranty has not expired, I cancelled my contract. There was no hassle in cancelling, and I appreciated that. When my expires, I will calling CarShield, and if the same value is there I will become a customer.

The representative Camilla was very nice and explained very accurately to me. I explained to her my situation that the dealer who has my car and they tried calling your company and expected a call back and never received one. So I contact Car Shield and she told me that the lines are not flooded and they can call now. It was up to the car dealer to call.

Kim helped get this issue straighten out. All is well. Please with her help. We settled this issue and was sold on the idea of paying 6 months in advance, which was fine with me and deletes some of the work and issues involved with monthly payments.

My contract does not. You will shop for parts for the intended work. Just take a certified shop that accept warranty like CarShield and try to force them to usesupplied parts that you send that they can't warrant.

No experience using warranty which is good...but the peace of mind is fabulous! I called Tuscaloosa Mercedes and asked them about CarShield. They said AAA... would rather take Carshield than any other, including Mercedes warranty!

Personable, honest and patient. Explained coverages simply and effectively. My only complaint is a wider base of coverages for throttle body/fuel delivery. And, the overall cost is slight expensive. I stay because customer service is great, but if I find cheaper, I will cancel.

Car Shield is not interested in repairing anything that is covered under their contract. We had a lifter go out on our truck. Car Shield said it was not covered and when we went to cut off the insurance, then said it was. Another part was affected because we drove it home and they said it was our fault for driving it after they had said it was not covered. The customer service reps are rude and don't care. "Why should they. I sure their wages are poor." Do not waste your money on this insurance it is not worth it. Everything they advertised on TV is a scam!!!

Verified email received a week after cancellation. Loretta and Jessica worked with me on researching the issue. Loretta read the notes, it did not make sense so she transferred me to Jessica. Jessica took the time to research this. There were no issues, no additional charges to the cancellation of the 2007 Escalade.

I have an 2015 Jeep Sahara Unlimited I purchased in 2018. It's in excellent condition. However if something were to happen like the transmission, I would have to fork out about three thousand dollars to have it removed, rebuilt and installed. I talked with a representative from Car Sheild and was able to acquire an insurance policy that cover the cthan the cost of ost of a new transmission or the cost of rebuilding the one I have now. The deductible will be one hundred dollars. Much better than the total expense of repair. I didn't hesitate to get the coverage. I would recommend this opportunity to anyone who has a vehicle that isn't covered by the dealership. No more worries about unforeseen breakdowns.

CarShield states they are waiting on further diagnosis from the dealership. Dealership is stating they cannot touch car until adjuster comes out. I need my warranty to clarify to dealership an adjuster will not be coming out. Dealership refuse to move any further.
It is the dealership's responsibility to find and provide cause of failure. If they can not do so, they need to do further teardown/diagnostic until it can be determined. If a teardown is required, an inspector will come out to verify the failure. However this can not be done until cause of failure is determined, so if claims is asking for more diagnosis, they need to do so before they will send the inspector. If the shop is confused, please have them give us a call so we can clarify the claims process for them.

Your people helped get my car towed to the Ford dealer. They also ok it so the dealer could get my car fixed. I that your people would have called me on my cell when they let the dealer know that they were allowing it to be fixed.

Though this may be a good coverage for some. I discovered that I could put the monies that I was paying to car shield into a savings account and the yield to me would be far better than paying it to CarShield.

American Auto Shield Sucks. I’ve been getting the runaround for 3 weeks because of the mileage discrepancy which was an error on CarShield‘s part. You guys took my money and close my account. Reinstate it. My account is no question about mileage. I wasn’t told about 100 miles a day. They never asked me about what was the mileage. I’m a disabled veteran. I have been sick with the Covid-19’ and was unable to speak or know the correct mileage on my vehicle. I’ve never had this problem before while dealing with Car Shield.
Can you fix my car before and I had no problem now that you have American Auto Shield. It’s been nothing but a mess. I’ve heard the same thing from other customers who have Car Shield. This is unacceptable. I’m gonna rent a car that I’m paying for and you guys may not even reimburse me. I’m disabled. I have a sister terminally ill and a disabled father that I have to get back-and-forth to Wisconsin which is 2700 round trip 3/4 times a month Which is why my mileage is in question. I explained everything to Auto Shield and Car Shield. Unacceptable truly unacceptable.
We are sorry that you feel this way. The mileage discrepancy was not our fault. You reported the incorrect mileage when you signed up for the coverage. Claims was able to update your mileage based on records and you should be able to proceed with the claim as normal. Please have the shop call in to American Auto Shield as soon as possible so that they can get this moving for you.

They have been very informative and patient whenever I have called for any questions. I would recommend them to anyone. I would encourage every one to get this coverage for their car. I know of many people who had to pay hundreds and some thousands to get their car repaired. It’s not worth the risk not to have this coverage.

Not all repair shops will take CarShield. I took my truck to Ford dealers in my area and they refuse to deal with CarShield. The repairs needed can only be done by the dealer. Also your representatives lie. Two of them said they would call me back to help me find a dealer that will take CarShield. No one called me back.
Sorry you’re having trouble finding a local repair shop that accepts our coverage. Some shops refuse to take our coverage, however it is not for the reasons you may think. Some shops refuse to take any outside coverage because they want to be in charge of their own prices. There is a nationally recognized labor guide that tells repair facilities what to charge for what services and things like that. But it's up to each individual shop whether or not they want to follow it. With coverage like ours, we keep shops from overcharging our customers and shops don't always like that. We’re happy to stand on our record of servicing over 2 million customers over our 17 years in business. Not to mention our claims department pays out over $3 million in claims every month. I requested information about Carshield's car rental credit. The information was quite helpful. I need the car because my vehicle current cannot be driven because it is getting a new transmission. I needed a new Window Regulator which was repaired by Napa Autocare on 7/1/22, My mechanic contacted Car Shield and was told I wasn't covered. I was very disturbed since I thought my policy covered this type of repair. I cannot qualify my paying Car Shield for Auto Protection, and then have to pay the entire bill out of pocket.

The representative that I spoke with was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. She answer all and I mean all of my questions and did not make me feel rushed or an inconvenience to, I was a valued customer. During my initial telephone discussion with your agent regarding your program and its various elements I was told that the SILVER coverage program had a $100 deductible. Later I discovered that the deductible is really $200. Not a lot of money but disappointed with the error.

I had 4 different people call me over 4 days. My first contact was Corey 1, a very nice young man who gave me quotes on two vehicles. I told him to call me back because I needed to contact me husband. Next two other men called me and were very pushy and very rude. #3 told me he was closing my file because I had not made a decision with him, very rude. #4 caller was another Corey who was very helpful and we wrote two policies with him. It took way too long to repair my vehicle. 5 months to do the repairs on my Jeep for an overheating problem and the headbolts had pulled up about 16th of an inch off the head and caused it to overheat. I think not sure about that part that's what I was told the cause of the problem.

Just made sure the correct vehicle was listed. I got a letter that was about a vehicle we use to own. When I called they checked to make sure a different vehicle was not listed. We checked the records and it was just a letter sent out. I was told that those get sent out on occasion.

We are very disappointed in CarShield. First you think you’re dealing with Carshield but then they pass your policy over to American Auto Shield. I had a problem with my truck and brought it to the repair shop and gave them my policy information. This took place in the middle of May. It took numerous phone calls by the repair shop to set up an appointment to have an inspector come down. In the middle of all this our claim adjuster was changed from one adjuster to another adjuster which delayed our file even more. Then the new adjuster was unreliable in returning calls to us or the repair shop. When he finally did called back to the repair shop he was put in touch with an inspector. He did a virtual call with the repair shop and submitted a report to the adjuster.
It took several weeks before anyone heard from him. We spoke to 7 people in the claims department. They all said they couldn't get in touch with our adjuster nor was there any notes they could relay to us as far as the status of our claim. Finally the last person we spoke to from the claims department reached out to a supervisor of her department to reach out to a supervisor from his department to help. After all that he denied the claim and in his notes read by the last customer service rep, he described everything but what was wrong with the truck (wrong parts, etc.) and wanted to send another inspector.
At this point which was today July 28, 2022, we canceled our two policies because of incompetence. We were very disappointment with the overall service and run around. We asked to be fully refunded for a policy that was ineffective and at our dismay we were turned down for a refund and would only be able to cancel them. It seems that CarShield is in the business of selling unusable policies sounds like a scam to me.
We do apologize you feel this way. We at CarShield have little to no control over the claims, shop process or the administrators' decision. Sorry to hear there may have been confusion about your coverage. Give us a call sometime and we can go over your policy and answer any questions you have.

This was my 1st time using my CarShield protection, I had an issue with my right front door lock on my 2015 GMC Sierra SLT. They asked me if I needed immediate repairs, and I said no. Next week would be fine. They were quick to provide an answer on coverage, and immediately started a claim for my truck. It will be fixed next week!

Every time I talk to a representative they are always extremely helpful with answers. This usually happens after I receive mail from another company purporting that I'm late with my payment. This particular time, however, I think had to do with my payment. My debit card had been hacked so my automatic payment didn't go through. I submitted payment over the phone with another card, and believe the problem has been resolved with my bank.

I never had to use CarShield for any repairs but did submit a copy of my invoice for a towing expense. I was reimbursed quickly and had no issues after that. I need to have someone help to expedite check. I am 75 and need claims department to help. I can’t wait 7 to 14 business days from June 30 to start new check cycle. After they validate check is still uncashed, as reported uncashed today 6/27.
We do apologize, however we can not control the time frame in which checks are delivered by mail. It could take up until June 30th for you to receive this check. If you have not received it by then, give us a call and the check can be voided and reissued.

Diamond Coverage for 2013 Buick Verano vehicle. Coverage started May 17, 2022. CarShield customer service has been great. When my 2nd month payment was due June 17 my Credit Card had been suspended because of an unacceptable claim. The card was closed and a new card has been issued meanwhile. CarShield's help was outstanding. I have offered another Credit Card (MC) for the monthly payments in the meantime.

Very Pleasant. Representative was friendly and very helpful. I do have a problem with trying to find mechanics that take CarShield. It would be nice if you supplied a list of mechanics and dealers that take CarShield in the areas that we live in.
Sorry you’re having trouble finding a local repair shop that accepts our coverage. Some shops refuse to take our coverage, however it is not for the reasons you may think. Some shops refuse to take any outside coverage because they want to be in charge of their own prices. There is a nationally recognized labor guide that tells repair facilities what to charge for what services and things like that. But it's up to each individual shop whether or not they want to follow it. With coverage like ours, we keep shops from overcharging our customers and shops don't always like that. We’re happy to stand on our record of servicing over 2 million customers over our 17 years in business. Not to mention our claims department pays out over $3 million in claims every month. If you need help finding other shops in your area, please give us a call.

I was charged $20 extra on my account. I called 3 times and received 3 different answers. The last time I was told to pay $20 less on my account but my account still says $160.99. I will pay $20 less but the way things are going I know I’ll be asked to pay the $20, it’s the principle. The service for my car was excellent.

This representative was very helpful. He truly help me as a woman who wasn't sure what's going on with my claimed. He told me what section of the service agreement to read and I was able to email the dealership and let them know what's going on. Because the dealership had me thinking I need to look for another warranty company because your company was making this more than what it should be. But the service representative explain to me that your company looks out for the best interest of the customer making sure that the right things are being fix. He had awesome customer service skills.

All parts were replace in a timely manner. Coverage from CarShield helped me prevent unexpected expenses. Will use this service again and again... I have paid for this company's protection plan for several years. I was able to get one claim over the four years of which I also had to pay a deductible. As a senior citizen, I noticed their extensive commercials with promises to assist customers when in need. Such is not the case. I have requested cancellation on numerous occasions only to be consistently hounded with calls of frightening scary car breakdown situations and threats of how much I owed in back payments. They would not take "No" for an answer. I have more than paid for any car repair, towing and the disrespect offered in refusing. Even after I submitted my request for cancellation, I was put off several times and would have to call back over and over. The amount of their monthly premiums vary depending upon one's ability to straddle the fence negotiate.
A few months ago, I once again requested a cancellation, and for them to stop automatic debits to my credit card. The response I received was nil. I called again last week for them to put me off in order for them to listen to my past calls. The response was that I never called to request a cancellation! I had no other reason to call them because I did not have a claim. It was easier to get in than to get out of this 'cult-like' environment.

I called Carshield to ask if they covered replacement of tire sensors because I was getting message to check tire pressure. I took car in to a couple of places (around 4 or 5 times) and message kept coming back on. One of my neighbors told me I probably had to replace tire pressure sensors. I eventually got message taken care of. Carshield representative told me then that Carshield did not cover that.

I was paying for CarShield and wasn't even sure if I was covered for anything because I never received the standard Insurance card that is customary with this type of coverage. I was not even aware that I was covered until I checked my bank statement for deductions from CarShield.
We do apologize, however this is not car insurance, so we do not send out cards. This is mechanical breakdown protection, so we send you a copy of the contract by email, and it's also available for your viewing on our mobile app. A physical copy can be requested if you give us a call, but we are typically a paperless company, so this would not be automatically mailed to you until requested. Customer support very friendly, have not had to use their service yet and hope I don’t need to. It’s just peace of mind knowing you have drivetrain insurance available if needed down the road. Hopefully their service is as good as they say on TV. If there is a problem will also post that here.

I tried twice to work with CarShield on two separate issues with my car. The first time I called and after an extended amount of time on the phone with them was assured the Mass Air Flow Sensor would be covered. After the work was done and the repair shop got back with CarShield the claim was denied. The second try was because the car needed fuel injector and seals replaced. Well, this repair was also denied. End result - Canceled CarShield and would suggest if you want to use them have someone that understands loopholes and deceptive terms read the contract before signing.
We're sorry to hear this. We can assure you that you were never told that your Mass Air Flow Sensor would be covered, as neither of your vehicles qualified for that to be covered. Only your enclave would have had coverage for the fuel injectors and seals are not covered on a standalone basis. We do make sure to go over what items are eligible for coverage during the initial sales call, but we also provide each customer with a full 30 day money back guarantee review period to read over the contract and call us back with any questions they have. Made a comment to my daughter. I called and complained. I only asked about my cost of payment. I recommend CarShield not Rite Choice. I called to check the garage because I never use them. I always use Meineke South Hampton.

I was just a 1/2 mile from home when my check engine light came on. I pulled into my drive and steam was pouring out of the engine compartment. This was late Friday afternoon. I called CarShield the next morning, Saturday, and they sent a wrecker to tow the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer called late Tuesday to inform me it was the water pump and radiator, front breaks and the driver side window that needed to be replaced. The breaks and the window was not covered by CarShield, but the water pump and radiator was. I picked up my Highlander from the dealer on Friday morning only having to pay my deductible and for the breaks and window.

Had an issue with tow truck company/driver. However an agent reassured me that my vehicle would be towed back home, and a new company would be able to tow my vehicle on Monday. Service was poor. After the rearview camera was approved by CarShield adjuster, it took several months and numerous telephone calls to the company to find out why the part wasn't being delivered to my mechanic. I almost gave up and was considered termination of my account with CarShield.

I need an order number and authorization for repairs. The Mechanic has spoken with a representative; however, he is waiting for a return call. Let's not make this difficult. He is shop personnel are that good and reasonably priced, the owner has a waiting list for services to be rendered. The auto dealer had submitted pictures of my car and it seem to be taking so long. I had been there since 8:30 this morning and I left a 2:30. The dealership had completed one task, but was waiting on Car Shield to approve the other task to be completed. Get a phone call about auto coverage with this company. Lady was very pushy and asked if I needed insurance on an automobile that I never owned. For few days, kept receiving calls from different spoofed numbers from this company... Kept blocking them until calls stopped. Hung up immediately-.
2. Their spokesperson, ICE-T has an extensive history of criminal activity, including being a member of the CRIPS, robbery, etc. Nice person to showcase your product.
3. The price for coverage is crazy - much more than out of pocket court for repairs.
4. Their coverage clause has so many hidden exclusions to cover their butts so that they do not have to pay out claims.

I cancelled my CarShield Policy 6 weeks ago. Since then, I have received no fewer than 20 emails, text messages and pieces of snail mail reminding me that I have not paid. I have called CarShield Customer Service 6 times, twice speaking with managers who "promised" me I would receive not more communications and that my policy is cancelled. I have requested repeatedly and strongly and clearly that I do not wish to receive any further communications. Each time I call them I'm assured it has been taken care of. I feel completely stalked and harassed. They are not honoring my request to not be contacted. Literally every day I'm getting messages. Yesterday I was on the phone with them for 20 minutes. This morning there is yet another text. CarShield is full-on harassing me for a payment I do not owe them. They are disregarding the Do Not Call (which is a legal request).
On top of this, when I did need to use the policy, it took them 4 full days to approve the repair. In the meantime, they would not approve a rental car, which is supposed to be included in the benefits. So I just had no car for 4 days?!? They are very expensive to rent right now so that was not an option. And finally, I cancelled this halfway through a payment period. They would not provide a pro-rated refund. I find this wrong on many levels. I have to pay for a policy that I literally have no way of using since I sold the car that was covered? No other insurance company does that. You get a pro-rated refund that honors the date the policy was cancelled. So not only is CarShield harassing me for money I don't owe them, they are keeping money they owe me.
I have submitted multiple reviews when prompted by CarShield. I have expressed my deep discontent and concern about their customer service. Not one time have they replied, apologized or attempted to amend the situation in any way. I have invited upper management to contact me about it. Do not purchase CarShield. Just wow. If I could get a restraining order on a company, I would. I give Carshield 0 of 5 Stars.

Glad I'll be reimbursed after a two week of back and forth phone calls. I did fax my proof of this unauthorized deduction of my bank account. This mistake was done on. Holiday, Memorial Day, knowing the banks were closed and most people were busy. The only reason I was made aware of this invasive mistake was by a phone call from the Fraudulent Dept. At my bank.
