Had an issue with tow truck company/driver. However an agent reassured me that my vehicle would be towed back home, and a new company would be able to tow my vehicle on Monday. All together great service. Waiting to see what happens with my transmission, and a agent called assuring me that he would make sure the process moved as quickly as possible.

Service was poor. After the rearview camera was approved by CarShield adjuster, it took several months and numerous telephone calls to the company to find out why the part wasn't being delivered to my mechanic. I almost gave up and was considered termination of my account with CarShield.

I have experienced only intelligent, knowledgeable employees who very nice and polite, and who help in anyway that their job requires. I am considering raising our policy to bumper to bumper if it is offered on our vehicle. I would like to thank Customer Service for being so professional and polite. Such a great experience. My overall experience with Car shield was exceptional. From day one they were helpful. Responsive right up until the day I sold the vehicle while it was still under warranty. They immediately offered a credit for the remainder of the warranty period, so five stars to them.

Trading in my 2012 BMW 750i xDrive for a new or certified pre-owned BMW and no longer require this warranty program. I have been with CarShield for a number of years now and I really appreciated having this warranty for peace of mind. My 2004 BMW need some work, after purchasing CarShield. Car Shield did not pay for all of my repairs, but they paid for a lot of them and saved me thousands of dollars on repairs. Car Shield is a great investment.

I need an order number and authorization for repairs. The Mechanic has spoken with a representative; however, he is waiting for a return call. Let's not make this difficult. Please send me an order number and authorization. As I previously stated in a prior email: The Mechanic cannot get to my car until after the 4th of July. He is shop personnel are that good and reasonably priced, the owner has a waiting list for services to be rendered. Now you need to respond today to his call and you need to respond to my requests for an order number and Authorization. Today!

The negative customer service reviews were not my experience. Customer service was extremely professional and helpful. It is unfortunate that I just cannot afford Carshield at this time. Financially I'm in a position to pay for Carshield until a later date.

The auto dealer had submitted pictures of my car and it seem to be taking so long. I had been there since 8:30 this morning and I left a 2:30. The dealership had completed one task, but was waiting on Car Shield to approve the other task to be completed. I left and said that I would bring my car in tomorrow with the hopes the Car Shield had returned their call.

Get a phone call about auto coverage with this company. Lady was very pushy and asked if I needed insurance on an automobile that I never owned. For few days, kept receiving calls from different spoofed numbers from this company... Kept blocking them until calls stopped. Hung up immediately-.
2. Their spokesperson, ICE-T has an extensive history of criminal activity, including being a member of the CRIPS, robbery, etc. Nice person to showcase your product.
3. The price for coverage is crazy - much more than out of pocket court for repairs.
4. Their coverage clause has so many hidden exclusions to cover their butts so that they do not have to pay out claims.

Bought a 2006 Volvo xc90. Nice SUV, but known for having possible transmission problems. Felt like I had to get good coverage, so I went with CARSHIELD. It's a little more than I wanted to spend monthly, but I feel more confident driving my old/new car.

I cancelled my CarShield Policy 6 weeks ago. Since then, I have received no fewer than 20 emails, text messages and pieces of snail mail reminding me that I have not paid. I have called CarShield Customer Service 6 times, twice speaking with managers who "promised" me I would receive not more communications and that my policy is cancelled. I have requested repeatedly and strongly and clearly that I do not wish to receive any further communications. Each time I call them I'm assured it has been taken care of. I feel completely stalked and harassed. They are not honoring my request to not be contacted. Literally every day I'm getting messages. Yesterday I was on the phone with them for 20 minutes. This morning there is yet another text. CarShield is full-on harassing me for a payment I do not owe them. They are disregarding the Do Not Call (which is a legal request).
On top of this, when I did need to use the policy, it took them 4 full days to approve the repair. In the meantime, they would not approve a rental car, which is supposed to be included in the benefits. So I just had no car for 4 days?!? They are very expensive to rent right now so that was not an option. And finally, I cancelled this halfway through a payment period. They would not provide a pro-rated refund. I find this wrong on many levels. I have to pay for a policy that I literally have no way of using since I sold the car that was covered? No other insurance company does that. You get a pro-rated refund that honors the date the policy was cancelled. So not only is CarShield harassing me for money I don't owe them, they are keeping money they owe me.
I have submitted multiple reviews when prompted by CarShield. I have expressed my deep discontent and concern about their customer service. Not one time have they replied, apologized or attempted to amend the situation in any way. I have invited upper management to contact me about it. Do not purchase CarShield. Just wow. If I could get a restraining order on a company, I would. I give Carshield 0 of 5 Stars.
We do apologize, however we show that you hung up on the representative before they could go over cancellation procedures with you, and that's why the calls and texts about your payment continued, so that we could attempt to go over that with you. This has been since updated and you should not be receiving anymore calls. If you have any other questions, please give us a call anytime.

A friend recommended Car Shield to me and upon talking to someone, I thought I would try car shield. The price was reasonable and it takes the worry out of possible future car repairs. I was worried about going through the hassle of getting a car repaired because I had another car warranty that I had to fight to get my car repaired.

I was told that to repair my car would take 8-10 months to get the part. Car Shield got my part and had it sent to my mechanic in five days! Thank you Car Shield!!! I’m so relieved because who can go without a car for almost a year?!?! I didn’t even know Car Shield could find parts.

I purchased the platinum plan thinking that would be the most beneficial plan for me...but ac went out and the claim was denied because that part of the ac was not covered. I was under the impression that the plan would cover the whole ac system...Surprisingly not.

Glad I'll be reimbursed after a two week of back and forth phone calls. I did fax my proof of this unauthorized deduction of my bank account. This mistake was done on. Holiday, Memorial Day, knowing the banks were closed and most people were busy. The only reason I was made aware of this invasive mistake was by a phone call from the Fraudulent Dept. At my bank.

2nd call asking to change payment date due to it interferes with my mortgage payment which I stated from the beginning of signing on with CarShield. Hopefully I will not have another bank fee if money continues to be pulled out on the 11th. I may then have to cancel or look for other Ins.

Everything went smoothly, took vehicle to certified service shop. They performed a diagnostic check on it and submitted their findings to Carshield who took care of everything right away and got my car back on the road quickly. What a great company and service!

They called that our payment did not go through. After a short conversation it was determined that it was clerical error on whoever scheduled the payment by an error when putting the card date in, they put 22 instead of 25, the lady who called corrected the problem and the payment went through!

The Volvo mechanic just called and said that the A/C repair was covered with a 100 dollar deductible.. Thank you. I did not know what I would have done without CarShield. This repair is something that would have probably been expensive to fix.

I just asked a question about particular coverage - got my answer and the lady was very nice. Just wish we could get the contact info for me straight - months in with this contract and still no resolution. Why do you want more words! Looks like anything I have to say would be enough. SO the issue is getting the gift giver's name off the contract because I don't receive anything from you and it's my car and my contract! My issues. Not his.

Cam and lifters went out in my Dodge truck. Carshield said need to tear down and send pictures. They would not cover the cam because I drove home and to the shop so I bought new one. Now will not pay for labor to put back together when they initially said to take apart so I'm stuck owing $1800 to have them finish it because they said wouldn’t cover putting cam back in. Real scam.
We are sorry that you feel this way. We did review your claim, and it was authorized for all of the eligible components. Unfortunately, you continued to operate the vehicle on a known mechanical breakdown, as you stated above, which caused further damage to the vehicle. Continued operation is listed very specifically as an exclusion in your contract, which is why we provide Roadside Assistance to all of our customers. You should have immediately stopped use of the vehicle and contacted us for a tow. So, we covered the initial cause of failure, however any and all damage caused due to you continuing to drive the vehicle would be your responsibility. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to give us a call.

Part needed replacing on the motor.. CarShield came thru as promised. The process was simple. Just gave them my account information and they took care of the rest. They give you a phone number to call and the garage that is working on your car takes it into their hands.

To the point the service by Tiffany was was rare. She knew the answers before we asked. She she got everything done in timely manner and answered all our questions. You company will not cover actual cost for repairs. You use an outdated labor rate guide from 2021 that is at least 3 to 5.5 hours off from the actual time needed for repairs.. received a $970.00 repair bill and your company only will pay $488.00. Will no longer use your product or recommend it to others and will be contacted the BBB about your actions and counsel regarding reimbursement of funds and any other cost incurred.
We are sorry that you feel this way. The claims administrators use the most accurate labor guide when authorizing claims, and if the shop is asking for more, they are overcharging. Unfortunately, the claims administrator will not pay overcharged pricing, so any difference would be your responsibility. We did look over the claim and it looks like they adjusted the labor hours because the shop forgot to include a component, so that may be what the difference was originally, however it may be fixed as of yesterday. They don't hold up to what they promise. They say any part covered in their contract, they will pay for and all I had to pay was a $100 deductible. That was not true. My transmission was covered, a total rebuild was required costing 3,500. They only covered 1500 of it. I had to pay the rest. Ironically, the 1500 that they covered was almost the exact amount that I paid in total since I started my contract with them in 2019. Additionally, the reason why most mechanics won't work with them is because they want the mechanic to replace original parts with cheap parts from AutoZone.
When asked to speak to an adjuster to gain further clarification on their determination of what and how they instruct the mechanic to fix MY car, I was told that I cannot speak to the adjuster. I could only speak to the customer service representative who knows little to nothing about the case. I highly recommend to not do business with this company! I would give zero Stars if I could.
We are sorry to hear this. We did review your claim and the parts they wanted to use were not cheap parts from AutoZone, rather they were quality parts from one of the claims administrator's trusted part vendors. So, if you chose to go with the shop's overcharged part, then you would be responsible for the difference in cost, as we can only guarantee our parts for the life of the contract. We also show that the additional costs you had to pay were due to the subsequent damage to the vehicle caused when you continued to drive the vehicle with a known mechanical breakdown. Unfortunately, damage due to continued operation of a vehicle with a known mechanical breakdown is specifically excluded from our contracts and this stipulation is plainly listed in all contracts. So, we do apologize to hear about your frustration, however claims did abide by your contract. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to give us a call.

I called and spoke to Michelle customer service representative and canceled my CarShield as of May 31st, 2022 at 4:45pm. She said the payment taken out May 28th. Would not be refunded. It was taken out May28, 2022. I asked Michelle to send me in my email about the cancelation as of May 31, 2022. She said she would take care of it.

Never received my contract, so I read email contract before 30 days expired. If you have a major breakdown Car Shield could require a tear down of your powertrain leaving you with the expense of thousands. Waiting for refund 5 days already. This is a catch 22 contract.
We are sorry that you feel this way, however we can assure you that is not the case. Teardown may be required on more major breakdowns to verify the cause of failure before just replacing the entire component, however that is standard practice with every coverage company out there. We show your refund was processed back to the card you made the down payment with on 5/26/22, and can take 3-5 business days to reflect back into your account. So, you should see it no later than end of day tomorrow. If you do not, give us a call and we would be more than happy to assist you further.

I made at least 3 calls to Carshield on May 20, 2022 to find out if a part would be covered. Moss Bros. Honda said the latch needed to be replaced, that being said, Carshield said I had to have a DOT test, even though I told them it was the latch. I paid $190.00 for the DOT for you all to say the part isn't covered. The next day I requested a refund of the $190.00 for the reasons mention. I again was met with a denial.

From my first experience with Car Shield, it wasn’t a good look. I end up paying $900.00 of a $1,200 bill. “I’m learning about your tactics early as I have been warned by some people. Thanks car shield for my first experience.

Needed to have my Tucson towed from my home to the dealer because engine light came on and car lost power just leaving my driveway and 100 feet down the street it almost shut down. It happened a few days before that but the dealer couldn't find it on a diagnostic that is why I had to take it home worried that this would happen again and it did.

My Mother's Nissan Altima had a great deal of work to be done the (air condition). Nissan in Stone Mountain did a great job and stood behind Car Shield all the way. No problems at all. If it was not for CarShield it would cost so much more.
Original Review: Had problems with air conditioning system. It's been resolved and alerts repairs Nissan dealership pointed out. Due to high value of customers at dealership had to leave car overnight. Stone Mountain GA Nissan was kind enough to take me home while car service was being done.

My transmission went out in my 2015 Subaru Legacy after having Car Shield for about 4 months. My car sat at the mechanic shop for a long time. Like 3 weeks. I had to rent a U-Haul van. I run a paint company called Veteran Painting and Coatings LLC so it was tough on us to rent a vehicle but mechanic had my car for a while and CarShield approved my transmission for $4,000. I'm so excited. Thank you so much for helping me get a new transmission to run my business. I'm very very happy. I recommend CarShield to all veterans that on a business. Thank you CarShield. Finding a repair shop was difficult, most auto repairs shops do not want to deal with CarShield because of the parts and “Hassle“ parts are not warranty covered, but replaced ok so far, took 6 days total from breakdown to repair.

They have great customer service. I had a lock out and CarShield did a great job with it but as far as repairs go lots of miscommunication on the process of the breakdown window and covering related concerns. I love the company but needs more education to customers and better communication so if a breakdown happens close to after the 21 days they know what to expect. But overall great experience. Possibly might be a customer again at a later date in future.

I called a few times to see if the services I need to be fixed would be covered under my warranty. Each time, the consultant stated that it would be once the mechanic submitted a claim. Well based off the reviews I have read from other consumers, I am literally worried that it will not be covered and I will have to come out of pocket paying for services, that I am paying a monthly bill for. So I wonder why even have the plan, if the company is not going to honor it, as well, providing used parts that may or may not hold up in the end. Why get the customers excited about having this extra coverage when you're going to deny the claim each time?
If I saw better results, then my stance may or may not change but as of right now, I don't know how else to feel, when in the long run, I'm shelling out $90 a month for a plan that won't be honored. The sales associate can sale you a dream anyway because they are trying to make a sale but if the company is not going to honor the policy the right way, that consumers are paying for, what is the purpose of having an extended warranty?

You have not approved my claim for my vehicle, and it is stressful! My car has been at the Porsche Dealer for several days and it is past time that they completed the work on my Boxster. I don't have any additional comment on this particular issue.

Ok I bought this for my wife's Buick, when I bought it the person I spoke to assured me that the car was covered, and if we ever needed it they would be there. So after a while the car seemed to be running wrong so we took it to the dealership and found out the transmission was slipping and third gear was not working. Ok no problem they were given the information for Car Shield and after about a couple of weeks of not hearing anything we finally heard back from the dealership. Car Shield would cover the transmission but only after their person came out and looked to make sure it was bad, ok makes sense right, send a transmission specialist to verify. After a few more weeks we finally heard back that the transmission would be covered but only for a used transmission and if we wanted a new transmission we would have to pay for it.
I did ask about the person Car Shield sent. They were not a transmission person, they were not even a mechanic. My wife agreed to this because of she was not given much of a choice, Car Shield covers with a used transmission or we shell out $8000. I really did not like it since I have put used transmissions in cars and know the problems that come from them but what ever, it went from bad to worse from here. Found out that Car Shield would not cover the transmission fluid, I did ask the service person what? How do they expect it to run on good looks and sun shine, I was floored that a fluid that is required to run a part you agreed to replace with a used part you won't replace for the fluid. Nutshell is it took 4 months for them to replace the transmission on this car because they had to find a used transmission that Car Shield would pay for. Thanks. Hope it does not blow out like most do.
Second time I went to use this coverage they said that the AC on the car was not covered. So I had Car Shield send me the information for the warranty, and they were right.It was not covered. But the funny thing is I remember asking if it would be and the guy said yes. I guess they can tell you whatever you want to hear but when push comes to shove expect what they told you to be a lie. So the short is do not waste your money on this joke of a warranty, find a good mechanic or just do it yourself, because in the end they are going to backstab you.
Sorry to hear there may have been confusion about your coverage. Your contract does explain that parts can be replaced with new, used, remanufactured parts of like kind and quality. We can assure you, our claims administrative company makes sure to put the best possible part on the vehicle. Fluid is also not listed for coverage under the contract. We can assure you that the sales person did not tell you AC would be covered, as our sales department is heavily scripted and monitored to ensure accuracy of information given. Before you get CarShield for your car protection, get an attorney to review their tricky contracts. They will find a way to escape from paying any repair to your car. The service is terrible because they can not transfer you to a supervisor and the staff will tell you lies and the company will not recognize their employee mistakes. Ssshhhame company. I would not recommend it to anyone.

The claim was denied because you continued to drive the vehicle with a known mechanical breakdown which is clearly written in the exclusions section of your contract. I had my credit card payment not go through due to an expired date. I had to change from one credit card over to another due to expired card date. New card could not be updated on the web site. Customer service is required to make that change.

My bank acct was hacked again and I called to cancel cc on file and submit new card information. Advised by rep that payment was due today (5/24/22) and was declined by my bank. I advised her why payment was rejected and proceeded to give new card #. Representative was pleasant, friendly and professional.

I have communicated with someone there eight times. Each time they ask me for the same information. It involves a $75.00 battery jump. I can’t believe you can’t check my contract # for almost all this information. My name, VIN#, year and make of the car are all on my contract. I am QUITTING!!!

Diamond coverage. I am responsible for maintenance on vehicle such as oil change, tire rotation. This is an enhanced labor policy which provides excellent coverage. Before the mechanic does the work he calls Car Shield. There is a 20 day GRACE period or 500 mi.

I called to check on policies for my car and they called me almost every day lowering the quote to get me to buy the Platinum policy. They promise a rental car and I could take it to a dealer or almost anywhere else to get it repaired. I finally gave in and purchased the policy. After three months my AC went out and I called. No dealer in DFW would take their policy. I went to their site and none of the dealers they list take their policy due to nonpayment.
Finally, I found NTB would take the policy. They won’t commit to a rental car and nor they say I am responsible for the teardown on the AC now that it has already been done. They want the mechanic to use their cheap parts and it will take three days to get the compressor. They also want me to pay for more diagnostics to get to the condenser that the shop says needs to be replaced. The shop won’t warranty it unless they use their compressor and replace the condenser, which I understand. Now the car has been there for 3 days and I will have to pay to get it out. The shop says they don’t even come close to the penal shop labor rate. Carshield and Autoshield are the same company. Now found they have an F rating with BNB.
Sorry you’re having trouble finding a local repair shop that accepts our coverage. Some shops refuse to take our coverage, however it is not for the reasons you may think. Some shops refuse to take any outside coverage because they want to be in charge of their own prices. There is a nationally recognized labor guide that tells repair facilities what to charge for what services and things like that. But it's up to each individual shop whether or not they want to follow it. With coverage like ours, we keep shops from overcharging our customers and shops don't always like that. We’re happy to stand on our record of servicing over 2 million customers over our 17 years in business. Not to mention our claims department pays out over $3 million in claims every month. Problem with my card on file. I had to contact Mepco directly to correct the problem. Would be nice if it could be done with the CarShield App on my Android phone. It is ridiculous I had to go online to Mepco and set up an account to manage my Billing info. I need to be able to ADD, DELETE, or EDIT my form of payment on file in the Car Shield App.

Just needed info about what I needed for a claim if I needed to file a claim as this might be the 1st time. I am glad I have CarShield. I feel safe knowing that I have CarShield being by myself and on a fixed income. This will help me if anything big comes up.

My car went in for lights on the dash board and Stalling issues. This issue was addressed in a timely manner. That was on a Thursday or Friday. On Monday, all the lights came back on and the stalling commenced. We called service and told us that the lights were all back on. We were told said it was just a notice telling us it was time for a maintenance. Now we will probably going to have have the car rediagnosed and the service perform. My question is why wasn't this taken care of when they had the damn car right there and addressed with a simple phone call. The diagnostic alone was close to $170, which will be yet another hit out of our pockets. I would have everything taken care of in 1 sitting, instead of repeating the whole process over again.

Well. I've used the service once for a dead battery. Guy showed up quick @ 4am. Got it done. Was pretty happy. But paying $130 month I probably won't do for too long. As far as CS, PICKING UP the phone was quick and the app explains a lot.

They are slow to inspect your vehicle, they try not to cover repairs, slow to approve inspection. Without a car for at least 4 days before repairs start, only approve rental after approval. Stay Away!!!

We had three policies with CarShield. When my husband called to cancel the service, he was told to call later in the month. He calls to cancel, and the customer service person literally refuses to do it. She tries selling another policy. He said no. She literally does everything but offers to cancel. I hear him getting angry, I'm getting irritated. I take the phone. She won't speak to me. He gives her permission. She still won't. I explain to her that we both know this is a recorded call and that it is well documented the official policy owner has granted her permission to speak with me and per the law that is all that is needed. She still won't speak to me. I explain the law again. I tell her all we want is to cancel the policies, and I understand she probably has a checklist of hoops and questions for us, and that she is welcome to fill that in however she wants.
She informs me I do not need to be rude. I informed her I wasn't being rude, we are simply asking for the policies to be canceled and she is refusing to do that. She puts me on hold for a bit because she can. When she comes back she angrily states she will cancel the policy and begins to hang up. I quickly asked for confirmation of the cancellation of all of the policies. She stated she would email and immediately hung up on us. Thank you for finally providing the service we requested....

Brought car in on a Thursday. 8 days later after too many phone calls to customer service (NO HELP) and the repair facility making just as many, finally got an inspection. Same process, many phone calls with little satisfaction. Finally, 13 days later there was authorization for about half the cost of the repairs. They authorized "after market" parts which the repair facility would not use. So I paid the difference between after market and the parts used. They don't pay tax, shop fees, or other incidental expenses. Nowhere in the policy could I find anything about after market parts being used. Customer service can do NOTHING for the customer but pay lip service. It sure wasn't what I thought I bought. Thankfully, I can cancel, and I will. What a waste of time, money, and effort. Little, if any attempt to make the customer feel they made a wise choice. Never again!!!!

Carshield is the best aftermarket warranty company I have worked with to date. Their employees are top notch and know what they are talking about. They fixed my 2016 BMW 340i xDrive, I was having a whining noise and took it to my local BMW workshop. They diagnosed the issue and Carshield had no issue paying for the repair.

Filed a claim almost 2 months ago. Took 21/2 weeks to decide if they were going to pay for the transmission or not. I ended up having to pay $816.00 out of my pocket instead of my $100.00 deductible. The transmission shop told them it would take 4 days to rebuild transmission and they said, "No. It takes 18 hour," so I only got a rental car for 2 days. At sometime I will be canceling my contract.

Twice I tried to contact this company via live chat on their website for a quote, and both times they refused to provide it to me. They wanted my phone number so they could have someone call me. I asked for the quote directly over the chat, but "Taiveion Higgs" told me it was "illegal" for him to discuss it because the chat operators were not "licensed" to discuss it. This is obviously a lie, and the fact that they would make up stuff like this is concerning to me. Bottom line, I never got a quote, and their chat operators are not very knowledgeable and extremely rude.

We had a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT. It had about 66,000 miles on it. The transmission stated messing up. We took it to AMCCO, and it was totally ruined. CarShield insisted that they send out some guy to look at it. They made me feel like I abused it and was trying to pull a fast one on them. It took an extra week before they approved the replacement. They only give you a rental for the time they figure it takes to replacement, so we would have to rent a car on our own. It was a very bad experience. What they cover is great and a good price but if getting something covered repaired is like the transmission experience would make me find another warranty company.

Inspections are only done, usually on larger repairs such as engine and transmission, just to verify the failure. That's nothing on you, just part of the claims procedure. ‘ConsumersAffairs’ is INCORRECT listing CARSHIELD as reputable. Also, one CANNOT pick their own repair facility. Because CARSHIELD excludes so many parts, I cannot find ONE local mechanic to accept the warranty. Rated ‘F’ by BBB. Car Shield/American Auto Shield misrepresented the coverage sold to me. Today, May 16, 2022, CS told me they don’t cover convertibles which I clearly stated I had from initial coverage & VIN # submitted. The roof is operated by the POWER WINDOW MOTOR which IS covered under my GOLD policy. Rear windows won’t go up & is effecting use of the roof. They ALSO cannot provide me with a repair facility that accepts Car Shield. I also can’t locate a repair facility that accepts Car Shield. They also won’t reimburse for any out of pocket repair expenses I may make to repair at a garage where I’d pay upfront.
I’ve paid $1,800 over 18 months with zero claims, just to be told my car is not covered. (My auto insurance policy costs less.) I requested reimbursement for my past payments, but have not received a call back from a “supervisor”. This policy is worth pennies on the dollar, as they have more EXCLUSIONS than covered repairs. Besides calling service stations, I’ve had to call Car Shield & American Auto 6x already.
My contract reads: “#17. IF IT IS DISCOVERED THAT A CONTRACT IS ERRANTLY SOLD TO YOU ON AN INELIGIBLE VEHICLE, THEN A FULL REFUND OF THE COST OF THE CONTRACT SHALL BE MADE TO YOU;". Contract DOES NOT STATE ANYWHERE that convertibles are NOT covered. This company(s) practices Deceptive & misrepresentation in the selling of this CONTRACT to me. I’m requested my premiums be reimbursed, ($1,800). If not, I’ll pursue any arbitration as stated & legal remedies or reviews based on my experience, including Attorney Generals, class action, etc.

I have another warranty, that I needed to compare coverages. The only way to do this was to sign up with Car Shield. I have a warranty with identical coverages, it expires in November 2022. It is included in my car note. I am attempting to refinance that note, but I am doubtful with the current rise in interest rates.

Could not find a Ford dealer or premium repair shop that would accept Car Shield, they did have a few tire stores though. Cancelled my membership today. A dealer told me Car Shield wanted the repair torn down and kept on the lift until adjuster got, sometimes weeks, and then they had to wait months for payment.

Returning home from voting, discovered a small pool of a clear liquid forming under car. Took it to Midas to repair. Was told they would do pressure check, otherwise did not seem to be any leak. Also found in routine exam that transmission needed resealing as did axle on one wheel; awaiting parts, I think. Will contact tomorrow to check up on status.

I purchased Carshield last year. Some issues started with my car in January. The claim was put in 1-25-22. My auto shop put the claim in and we waited for Carshield to take the next step. Nothing came of it. The Claim was never submitted. So between the Auto Shop & myself we kept calling with many, many hours spent between the two of us calling just to get the claim in!! They keep giving us the runaround & said a claim is not there.
After going thru their escalation department a claim was finally in their new system- 2-1/2 months later. The problem was my auto shop called Carshield to get connected with the Inspector and he put her on hold for 45-minutes each time or would never answer. My auto shop called again & again and same thing happened. My auto shop told me they will never-ever deal with Carshield Again! I just wanted my car fixed and no one at Carshield was willing to help. Their Customer Service is Absolutely Horrible and no one follows thru like a Good Business would. Eventually I had no choice but to pay the repairs myself except the power windows and locks- so I'll just have to deal with that! Do Not waste your time and money with Carshield!
We are sorry to hear that. We do not show that the shop contacted anyone at the claims administrative company, American Auto Shield, until 3/23/22. We show that claims had a very hard time getting ahold of your shop, as when they would call, no one would answer. When they finally did, they got an inspection set up to come out and look at the vehicle, and when the inspector arrived, the vehicle was no longer at the shop. The customer service rep was very enthusiastic, engaging and efficient helping me. I had to call back a few times before, I was able to finalize getting the issue resolved. After calling back a third time, I was able to get the satisfaction expected. It was my 1st time actually having to used the services. The Agent at Lex Brodie stated that they would not deal with CarShield, because they had been scammed in the past when it came to them getting paid. So I had to pay the full amount. I was disappointed having paid for this service and was told that we could go to any dealership.

I have had CarShield for about 4 years. I have not needed to use them as of yet. But the car shop where I get my car maintenance done said they will not accept CarShield because they use cheap replacement parts. I live in the state of Maryland and would like to know what shops are accepted by CarShield. I also was reading a review where a customer of CarShield said that they had received a notification from CarShield that their policy was paid in full and they no longer need to make monthly payments. Is that possible and how.

I haven't used my policy in my year of coverage. My representative offered me $20 per month discount, so I decided to try another year. I haven't found an ASE certified mechanic close, so paid for my own repairs. Representative explained problems that didn't need previous servicing, and suggested I call around in town to find a participating serviceman.

When I applied for this extended warranty, I was not given complete specifics, which caused a delay in getting the required service. I dislike being mislead. If your Agency advertised and sales a product, they should be Crystal clear and precise as well as honor the contract. I've purchase 2 warranties from CarShield and both experiences have been great. Really enjoyed talking with 2nd representative. They made me feel appreciated. Will be getting another contract on my granddaughter's car next month. I would recommend CarShield to anyone.

I reached out to them to see if they would cover my 2013 BMW with low miles. After waiting for a bit they told me they don't cover my model. They continued to call me everyday for weeks. I asked them again during one of their calls and they told me again they do not cover my model. They continued to call me even after I told them to stop. Their commercials clearly state we cover all cars and all models under a certain mileage. This is clearly a lie.
Actually, we have reviewed your file, and you were offered the Aluminum Protection plan. We also have an Auto Gold Card Program, and Shield Select Program available for this vehicle. We do offer multiple types of plans, and every vehicle qualifies for something. We do apologize if it's not the level of coverage that you wanted, however we do not control what vehicles qualify for what. That is determined by the vehicle's year, make, model and mileage. Thanks again for your proficiency and efficiency of explaining my policy and what IS covered. As the auto dealership was saying it was not a covered part.

I was inquiring about a policy upgrade for increased coverage and about the rules governing start date. I am currently on a Gold Plan and looking for additional cover for power steering and potentially power roof mechanism. Also looking at the cost benefit of increased cover, and whether there are any discounts available.
