I had a problem with my pickup truck, I took it to an authorized CarShield automotive shop; the shop diagnosed my problem, it was my water pump; within 24 hours CarShield called my mechanic on the claim and said that they would take care of $1,200 I would have to pay for wear and tear items, and the deductible. GREAT JOB!

The agent was not pushy but was clear and concise with his information. He probed to get me deals and I signed up without researching any other companies. Car Shield was the 1st company I called based on the name and I liked what I heard.

I was considering canceling, But the agent went over my policy and gave me some insight on why I should keep my policy. I advised I would reconsider and keep my policy and possibly upgrade in the near future. She was also kind enough to explain when my payments are due.

Even though it took 4 days to get everything going and we had a little bit of miscommunication in the beginning of the claim once everything was cleared the process was fast and I am very happy. The mechanic that was in network was very nice and knowledgeable as well.

Great customer service from everyone I spoke with from sales to cancellation. I called to check my options before purchasing my car. And decided the dealership package was a better fit. I will consider this company again in the future, because of their customer service.

Cara was very helpful in getting my policy cancelled in a very professional manner after my vehicle was declared a total loss after a collision with an 18-wheeler and no longer needed the coverage for my 2012 Hyundai Accent.

I have identity theft issues. So I have to replace my card a lot therefore making my payment issues a nightmare. It was resolved and the rep was very friendly. I love that he was able to let me know I am ok and even offered me a deal for the future.

I was not able to find my contract and required a new link. I was emailed a new link within a couple of minutes and downloaded my contract. I asked a couple of questions about coverage and got answers quickly. Good job!

Had to call to find out local service locations that accept CarShield and there are none near me as advertised by your sales/marketing dept. Very few locations accept CarShield. Not everything is covered on drive train coverage.... Even though electrical parts and other non mechanical parts are utilized in the "drive train."
Sorry you’re having trouble finding a local repair shop that accepts our coverage. Some shops refuse to take our coverage, however it is not for the reasons you may think. Some shops refuse to take any outside coverage because they want to be in charge of their own prices. There is a nationally recognized labor guide that tells repair facilities what to charge for what services and things like that. But it's up to each individual shop whether or not they want to follow it. With coverage like ours, we keep shops from overcharging our customers and shops don't always like that. We’re happy to stand on our record of servicing over 2 million customers over our 17 years in business. Not to mention our claims department pays out over $5 million in claims every month. If you need help finding other shops in your area, please give us a call.

When I took my SUV to the dealership for repair, I was advised your system didn't pay the dealer's repair costs. I've grown not to trust anyone other than the people trained on the make and model of my vehicle! I wasn't expecting to deal with some possible "shade tree" mechanic to ensure my vehicle was correctly repaired. This was told to me AFTER I had the car at the dealership. Not pleased with that surprise!

I wanted to clarify why on the CarShield App it showed the 2019 vehicle as a Honda Accord vs a Honda Accord Crosstour. The Car Shield Agent explained what was important was the VIN number. She asked and verified the VIN which was correct.

This happened because the radiator was cracked and leaking. This also was the reason it started to buck and shut off. They also informed me that the oil cooler o ring leaks badly but not covered under my auto shield. That was disappointing.

Satisfactory service but cost is higher than other services of this type. If they had other incentives I wasn’t aware of them. The company is not endorsed by the Better Business Bureau and I think that would be a plus.

Car Shield is a good thing down. When your car break down you don't have to have to pay your high view maintenance on your car. Yes I have to pay your short portion of it to get your car fixed and running back on the road again

The person I talked with and activated the contract was professional at service, answering questions I asked and was very kind and polite. A great person to sign a contract with. When I asked the question reference to keeping the contract that I am signing for today, does it continue for the year to come. I was told yes. I signed up for three years. Then I asked if I could get a 'CarShield' card after the contract and he said yes. I have not received the card. I would like to know what service locations in the 30030 area that I can use the card when I get it the card.

You guys were great, UNFORTUNATELY, the mechanics were not. O'Reilly told us the ignition coil, we went to Pep Boys, they said it was Spark plugs, we went to my husband's mechanic, Mr. **. He said it was the injection Fuel. Run my car to 1/4 fuel, add the fuel injector additive, run the car. Fill it up and run the car. It worked and I did not need the car serviced further than that.

I called Carshield on the 14th of this month because l read a text stating that it hadn't been paid. My credit Union contacted me stating someone had comprised my account. I contacted Carshield with the new card number on the 14th but she didn't put the new card number in correctly because l received another text stating my bill needed to be paid. This time a really nice woman answered the call by the name of Brittney to assist me and saw where l called. She corrected everything then sent me a text stating the bill was paid. Easy to make the correction on the information that I did not have when I purchased the plan. They had already gotten the VIN even before I called back. I'll know more when I get to use the insurance policy.

CarShield is the absolute best in customer service, care and all-around understanding. I've never experienced belligerent reps and I always feel like they care about me and not the money. The experience I had towing my car to the dealer was a good one. The car was towed in, and the dealer call me the next day told me the problem, said they notice I had CarShield, from previous repair. Call and got the ok to repair my car.. And in a few days my car was repaired and I paid what was my deductible saved me over $500. Thank you CarShield...

Rental. I have a problem that a shop could have your vehicle for 2 weeks. But don't tell Car Shield that. Just that the work will take 4 hrs. I feel if a person vehicle is at the waiting for parts to come that may take weeks. I should still be able to get a rental.

However, if they are the shop's parts that are being ordered, then no additional rental would be given, as we would likely be able to get a part to you quicker. When I printed out a copy of my contract it did not show any of my discounts. Therefore it does not show what I actually paid for Car Shield! I got a great deal on Car Shield but It doesn’t show on my contract.

My alternator and brake light indicator were staying on. Then my car was making a strange noise. I called the towing service provided through CarShield and they sent a tow right out. I had my car towed to my dealership. Called my dealership and provided my CarShield policy number and my dealership took care of the rest. It was so effortless and received my car back three days later fully restored.

I recently received my Car Shield book and I saw that the mileage was inputted incorrectly so I called 2 weeks ago and talked to an agent to update my phone number as well as my mileage. She told me that the info was updated. I have a problem with my car now and I took it to the dealership and they tried to file a claim which got denied because the mileage was still incorrect as well as my phone number. So, I called the company to once again give the correct mileage and phone number they told me they had completed the update that was on 11/18 and so I called today to make sure those changes were updated and correct, and the number was still not updated nor was the mileage. the agent I spoke with told me that they needed a copy of bill of sale for the mileage to be corrected and at no time did any other agent tell me that or I could have had it corrected 2 weeks ago.
So far I feel that this company's agents are rude and liars. I am in the customer service industry and when you tell a customer that you have corrected the issue than they should make sure that the info is corrected, and they should send a follow up e-mail to confirm the change. I am without transportation because of these very important mistakes I need a rental car immediately and I can't get one because you're not open long enough to get this all done today, and I work 16 hours today I would like to have transportation immediately please also I would like you to release Jackie ** to start on my vehicle so I can get it back. Thank you.
We're sorry to hear this. We did go ahead and have Quality Assurance review that initial sales phone call and you did report the starting mileage to be 122,675. It was not incorrectly transcribed by the representative, you reported this number to us directly. You did call in to update the mileage on 11/14/22, but you gave us a couple of different numbers. At first, you stated it was supposed to be 122, 175 and then corrected it to 121,923. This was sent to the administrator for approval that day and can take a few days to come back to us to officially update the system. You did not request for the phone number to be updated at that time. A couple of days later on 11/18/22, you called back in, updated the phone number, and were upset that the mileage had not been updated yet, and provided a completely different number of 121,093. Because of the varying numbers provided, this is when the administrator advised they would need a picture of the odometer and a service record around the time of sale of the contract to be able to update the mileage. We do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, however, we are doing everything that we can to assist you since you did not report the correct mileage to us when you set up the coverage. If you have any other questions, please give us a call.

The contract is being mailed and I am to receive this documentation within 10 days or so. I have downloaded the app; however, can't load any vehicle information due to no contract or order information as of yet. Any help would be wonderful as I finally received this email for survey.

I need body work done to my equinox and I can't wait for the results. If everything goes well I will recommend Carshield to family and friends. I had to either change my due date to the first of the month or cancel my policy. I only get paid on the first. I’m a disabled vet and making payments on the 20th or just no longer possible. My car has been in and out of different places but still not working correctly. Hopefully it's good where it's at. I thank Gino's Towing for towing it once and Buddy's for towing it once. Neither Tire Kingdom or Redline Tuning wanted anything to do with the car.

Car Shield did an excellent job with the sure vehicle was towed to the shop. Anything I didn’t like about. The only thing I didn’t like about it is a shop charge. Charged me above and beyond. My deductible was $100. They charge $220 and they said it was tax and other fees.

I never got anywhere using Car shield. Only I used it for was for a tow truck when my car was down. It went to one shop but never got fixed then my car came back home on a tow truck. Then the next day or the day after my car went to another shop but it wasn't nothing that car shield could do.

We're sorry to hear this. We do show that you already have one paid claim in October and the only reason the second one was denied was because you had the work done before the claim was called in. No claims will be paid without prior authorization. This is a listed exclusion in your contract. Your agency will not cover my cooling system problem and car rental. Therefore I have to pay $2200.00 out of pocket expenses and pay you $149.00 per month to fix the problem and would entail the mechanic shop to keep the car for a few days and you don’t want to pay for car rental except for a few hours to fix one problem that y’all will cover. But I need the other items repaired also in order to protect the engine so that means I have to pay out of pocket. So I feel you all should cover the rental experience for this to take place.

My 2014 Honda Civic needed the A/C Compressor replaced. I took it to the Honda Service department called Car Shield and in less then 24 hours the repair was approved. All l had to pay was 100.00. I would definitely recommend car shield to my family and friends. Sooner or later if you own a car you are going to run into a costly repair.

CarShield did not pay for the entire issue. The water pump went out along with the heater core hoses which are all related to the problem. The entire bill should have been paid for. Wasn’t satisfied with this experience which was my first claim. The covered items are very slim. Not sure if it’s worth having a contract for $125 per month.

Apparently CarShield is believing the crap by a company that wants to take advantage of people. What they said caused problems with my truck due to tire size is false. This type of damage would have taken more than 6 months of driving with the tires like this. These tire have only been like this for less than 30 days. Truck has sat in front of my apt more than being driven. Please explain this.

Unfortunately, your repair facility is the one that confirmed that the drastic difference in tire size was directly related to the failures at hand, and that's what claims has to go by. If that is not correct, then you would need to speak with the repair facility as to why they would have told us that, and have them call in to correct the incorrect information.

I called. Asked the rep about the actuator. I was told it was covered under my plan and get together dealership to find out that it wasn’t and had to come out of pocket with $200 because of the misrepresentation that was told to me. No I’m not happy with Carshield.
We do apologize for any confusion. Some of the actuators on the vehicle are eligible for coverage, such as the power door lock actuator. However, the temp door actuator is a part of the air conditioning system and that actuator is not listed for coverage under your contract. Hopefully we can help you on the next one!

We had an issue with the Windshield Wiper ignition switch and blanker assembly. The Wipers wouldn't go off even when the vehicle was off. We had to replace in its entirety. CarShield covered the cost, minus the $100 deductible. AWESOME!!!

Sutherlin Nissan in Canton GA. GA. I was charged over $1500 for a new air compressor. Your company paid over $900 and I paid over $600. Why did I have to pay so much? I don't understand why I had to pay more than my $250 deductible.
We have reviewed the claim and it looks like the reason you may have had to pay more than your deductible is because the shop was asking for double the amount of labor that the nationally recognized labor guide states the repair should have taken to do. We only pay for what the labor guide states is the verified labor amount. Since your shop was overcharging, you may want to speak with them as to why you had to pay so much, as we show everything else was taken care of. In the month of September, I My self and my wife broke down and waited for more than 5hrs, we talked to 3 different agent suppose to be helping and never received help. One of the towing companies lied and said they tried to contact me, but my cell phone never left my hand. Is that good service.

A hole in my exhaust pipe. I was checking on my coverage through CarShield. The agent looked my coverage up and we narrowed it down to an exhaust valve. He mentioned that I should take my vehicle to a ASE certified mechanic to run a diagnostic on the vehicle to get a result.

I will never ever deal with a company like this again. I also told at least 10 or more of my family members to cancel their contract with them because they are not right. I spoke with a representative on 11-7-22 at 10am and she was soo rude. She should have stayed home. The fact is that she doesn't want to help at all.

Had to have the power steering pump replaced. You paid little over $300. I ended up paying almost $900. You show on tv of bills being paid in full so how come I have to pay so much? I’m paying about 80% and you're only paying about 20% of the bill. What am I’m paying for?

We show that the steering pump hose and the brakes are not listed for coverage under your contract, so those costs would be on you, but we did ask the shop for an itemized breakdown of the cost and they did not provide one to claims. Took my money for 3 months and did not cover any repairs! The sales rep did not tell me about having to drive the vehicle 500 miles before service is rendered... False advertisement! Since I did not get service, please return my money that was drafted from my bank.

Having to pay $3000 on top of the $100 deductible for repairs that are "covered" defeats the purpose of having the policy. Don't know if it was you or me that got mixed up, but I'm considering cancelling. I believe the price of the repairs may have been inflated but there's not a lot I can do about that at this point. We show that the components that were called in were covered. Perhaps the shop is charging you for things that were not called in, or things that are not listed for coverage under your contract. Please give our claims department a call and they can go over a breakdown with you of what all was called in and being covered.

Autopay of my account was not done at end of October. I called and customer rep took care of it. This also happened at the end of September. I called customer service and was told it was a computer glitch or a new system had been installed. Info was taken and it was to be fixed, but it happened again. I hope everything is fixed this time.

I bought a used truck, the newest model I had ever owned, Chevy Avalanche, was going to a the beach and the engine light came on and I had dropped a cylinder when the flex fuel system failed... Took it to my mechanic and they contacted CarShield, whom agreed my policy covered the problem.... I was so pleased, a month later my truck did it again on the other side of the engine,,,CarShield covered the repair again.....TY CarShield.

I had an experience with Car Shield that I never want to go thru again, I had a set date for my payment to be taken out and they ignored it and made me have 9 months of fees from my bank of $64.00 which equals up to $576 dollars that I have not gotten back from Car Shield when they admitted to the error being their fault.

I inquired about a claim on my vehicle and was told I had a email sent to me which I did not receive. About needing records I requested to speak with my adjuster to get more information. The person said they/you do not give the adjuster's name or phone number to the customer. They only communicate with the service/garage where getting it repaired. I need to speak with the adjuster who is handling my claim! My payments are paid regular every month through auto pay. I should be able to speak with the adjuster handling my claim to see what is going on!

My experience with Carshield was exceptional. Each representative that I talked to seemed very personable and wanted to make sure that I understood what my Platinum contract entailed. It was well worth the call! The wait time to talk to someone was at a minimum amount of time. Simply amazing! Customer Service did a very good job in meeting my needs, I could recommend this company to friends and family. Job well done to the complete team. Car Shield is number 2 in my book. My only issue is that I have 2 Mercedes Benz, one is covered by CarShield, the other is not. My local Mercedes Benz Dealership (Charles Barker of Virginia Beach Va) doesn't support Car Shield claims. I need a certified Mercedes Benz Dealer to service my vehicle, the other Dealer is miles away. Please HELP. Thank you.

Engine light is on and there is a sound that is loud when I hit the gas pedal. The sound is so loud, that anyone on the outside of the car can also hear it. I noticed that I have to gas up more frequently recently.

We called to get a new policy sent to our home because we couldn't retrieve the old one. The customer service rep said she would send it immediately and she did. She also said she would sent one in the mail. New mileage 63550.

I had made a payment and 3 days later you took another payment. Leaving me in the red at the bank. Five days later, I have not received my payment back and you could have just reversed the payment that you took. Very disappointed!
We do apologize, however, we have reviewed your account and it looks like your payment was withdrawn automatically on the 21st, as it does each month on the 21st because that is your due date. We then show that you went in again on 10/25 and made another payment online with a checking account. We show that a refund was requested from the finance company, so you should see that very soon, it just may take a couple of extra days because the payment was drafted from the checking account, not a card. If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to give us a call.

My experience was limited in that I signed up for CS in May and sold the car I had the Insurance on a couple of weeks ago and had no claims on my policy. Will use it again when my new car is out of warranty.

This was my first experience with CarShield so I was a little nervous. The representatives at customer service and towing were very helpful and able to walk me through the process. It was very easy to get my car fixed, request a tow, and rent a car. I also saved quite a bit of money thanks to CarShield. I did have trouble with the tow however. I was told that my car would be picked up by 8:00 am so I scheduled my appointment with the mechanic for 8:15 as I live down the street from them. The tow truck didn't get here until after 11:30 though. Due to that, the service center canceled my appointment and I had to be rescheduled for the next day. This added more time that I had to rent a car and go without my vehicle. Hopefully someone can reach out to Huss Towing in Toledo, Ohio to let them know that this was an inconvenience so that it won't have to happen to someone else.

I am a senior on a fixed income and 99.00 per month is unaffordable at this time. Steven reduced my monthly payment to 69.00 per month which is more manageable. No problems with my car yet but they have been very helpful and answered all my questions every time I needed them to. They are all very kind and courteous. One time I thought I didn’t want their service they answered my questions and gave me a chance to think it over after giving me all the information I needed and I told them I would call them back with my decision and they honored that and I did call them and choose to stay with them because of that courtesy.
