They were able to include a rebuilt title clause for not too much more on the dollar amount. The package with the rebuilt title would still cover those certain things that I've had experiences with with previous cars and warranty companies. The person I was speaking with was Ryan. He was pretty patient and he wasn't trying to rush me into a sale so I appreciated that.

I figured it would be safe to have an extended warranty since the cars have been sitting for two months. Carchex was the first one that came up on my search online and the rep was very professional. But we sold our vehicles so we cancelled those plans.

Carchex is putting out all the flashy ads but when it come to service, they don't deliver and the worse part is they like with American Auto Shield who pays for repairs, they never answer or help you out, so, this is fraud company, don't buy their policies, you're making a big mistake and you'll be sorry for yourself on the long run.

The warranty on the truck expired and I renewed it last month. If something goes wrong with the engine or transmission, I wouldn't be able to afford paying for it out of pocket, which is why it’s good to have this insurance. I made a claim to Carchex and they took care of business like they should. I bumped a pole and it messed up my bumper so I’ll put it in the shop next week.

I liked how I could pay a little bit a month with Carchex versus one all upfront. The sales guy I talked with was awesome and a cool guy. I liked him a lot. He explained all aspects of the coverage very well. Having this protection plan just for the peace of mind is worth it. So far, so good, but let's see them pay some money.

I requested a quote from CarChex for an extended warranty on a used Truck I had just purchased. The pricing came back much higher than a factory extended warranty. I explained this to the representative who explained how their company was better etc. I then told him I would stick with the factory warranty and to have a great day to which he then proceeded to hang up on me without a "goodbye" "Thanks for your time" etc. If that is how they treat potential customers I'd hate to see what they did once they have your money. Not to mention they apparently called me several times without leaving a message as to who was calling.

I am disappointed to learn that Carchex is not the policy provider. In the "fine Print" of my acknowledgement, I saw that the "Warranty Provider" is American Car Shield, Not Carchex. Carchex appears to be only a sales agent for American Car Shield which means that everything the sales person at Carchex told me may not be true or accurate. I don't believe that Carchex can speak for American Car Shield if I ever have to use the warranty. To make matter worst, there is a company named "Car Shield" that is also a seller only. Car Shield is not rated by BBB.

Your agent named Matt was very unprofessional and he rudely hung up on me! This took place around 1:30 pm today. Now in order to fully explain how all this took place would need more space to write. The agency never asked who I was, yet proceeded to say he would sent me my packet and call be back on Monday. Since he did not ask for any of my info, I began to question him about my info. After about 2 or 3 minutes of my saying that I felt he was being unprofessional, he hung up on me, but before hanging up he yelled, "You don't know nothing!!!"

I needed a warranty on my 2016 BMW and I was told by someone there that Carchex gives good warranties on BMWs. The rep was cool although he overcharged me. I should've been paying $50 less a month because the other people that have the same thing that I have pay $50 less but it’s alright.

I just bought an old car from my son so I wanted to have coverage in case we needed it. I have a 15-year-old car Honda Civic and considering its age, a vehicle protection plan is valuable. Apparently, you can run them into the ground. So that's what I plan on. Carchex covers cars with a little higher mileage than some of the other plans and the car has a lot of miles on it. Plus, it seemed from the customer reviews that they were good. The rep was great. I had a lot of questions and he went through them all bit by bit with me.

I wanted to make sure my car has proper care when I'm on the road. When I Googled, I asked what the best warranty is. The first one was somebody else then CARCHEX was the second. I chose the first one but they didn’t give me a good rate. Then CARCHEX was willing to compromise and work with me and that was what made me went with them. The representative was patient, responsive, and gave me all the details on what they do and what’s the best choice for me. He made it flow like he made me feel comfortable with the options that I have. Overall, CARCHEX is a good company. I’m looking forward to being with the next phase with my warranty and my car with them and how it’s gonna turn out to be.

We saw an ad about CARCHEX on our CarMax app. My wife did all the processing. Then, their sales rep gave me a call and then he passed me on to his manager and that was when we finished the deal. But he told me the payments and the plan, and it sounds good, so I was like, “Okay.” But what I was wondering is when we were coming to the end of the arrangement, he said he was gonna email me a copy of legal papers, but I don't think I received an email about that.

I needed a protection plan because I bought a used car and I wanted to make sure that within the three years if something would happen, I’d be able to get my car fixed and not come too much out of my pocket. The price for a plan from another company was pretty low, but they wouldn't give me what I wanted. Then somebody from Carchex called me and their price was better. The guy I talked to was pretty good. When I talking to these salespeople, they will try to pressure you on the phone right then and there. I didn’t get that from him. He explained everything about the coverage that I wanted. Signing up with them was great. I wanted three years and over 30,000 miles coverage and Carchex gave me three years, 45. It was just maybe a little slightly more than what I paid with the other company but Carchex gave me more.

The rep was a good guy and buying the policy was simple. They explained the coverage but I haven't received it in the mail yet and it's been 3 weeks now. I got an email copy, but I haven't got the official paperwork. Carchex is okay but there are some stuff that are a little different. Carchex is not really the warranty holder. They're more of a broker. I come to find out it's Auto Shield so it's kind of not good after I realized that. Carchex subcontracts to a second or third party.

In this day and age, you can't go without a protection plan on your vehicle. My other one ran out so I decided to get one from Carchex. The gentleman that I had dealt with was awesome. He followed up a couple of times to see if I was ready to purchase. He also went over everything a couple of different times to make sure that I understood everything that I would be getting. I still have no paperwork from them. But I've already referred them to two other people.

Unfortunately I entered into a contract with false advertisement. The mileage recorded on my policy was not correct which I think was intentionally done considering it was recorded as something higher meaning I will reach the expiration mileage sooner and when I pointed it out to the company PRIOR to the 30 days to policy going into effect I was told it would be corrected and I would receive a new declaration showing such. After having my first claims this conversation came up only to find out the situation was never corrected and I have emails stating they would do so. All I get is excuses and basically them telling me it is not easy to correct without jumping thru hoops. Do no trust these people. They will sell you a contract with 36,000 miles and then issue a policy with the mileage further in the future. The mileage under consideration is not massive but it is about policy. This is false advertisement and buyer beware.

I'm out in the boondocks and I’m around 50 miles away from the nearest car repair so I needed them a vehicle protection plan is very necessary. The reps from Carchex were prompt and they explained everything perfectly well to me. I was very satisfied with them and it was a very pleasant experience.

I do repairs on my car myself and I'm tired of it. Everything else is sound in the car. The car got sentimental values. It's getting older but I plan to keep it. So as preventative maintenance and a safeguard, I put a policy on it. A vehicle protection plan is a practical gem. I spoke with Carchex and their pricing was decent. Their reps were adequate and professional.

My regular warranty expired and somebody told me to get an extended warranty. It's very valuable because otherwise, you'll be paying over 5,000 if you have a transmission problem or some engine problem. My experience with the Carchex rep went alright. Their coverage was pretty easy to purchase.

I have a bit of an older car and an extended auto warranty would be the best way to keep it on the road if anything goes wrong with it. I called a couple of companies and the guy that I spoke with at Carchex was helpful and gave me the best deal, which was why I went with them. Their customer service was good.

I've had the same make and model vehicle before purchasing the one I just bought, and it had a number of issues with it towards the end of ownership, which were costly. I figured it would be better to get something in place that would protect me over a longer period of time. CARCHEX had the best reviews from all of the providers that I've seen and the kind of widest types of coverage as well. Purchasing the protection plan was pretty simple. I had a phone call a couple of weeks beforehand and gave details of my car and a quote was given for different options. Then, I picked the option that I preferred a few days ago. The representatives could've been better. I just felt like the conversation was slightly rushed. I was asking a lot of questions and I felt that maybe the rep just wanted to get through the call. But he answered them regardless so that was fine.

I decided to get Carchex because I had purchased a used vehicle with low mileage. I would consider it a luxury vehicle, so I wanted to make sure I have protection just in case anything breaks down, especially in these times where things are uncertain. I chose Carchex because when I was at the place where I purchased the car, I’ve seen that they had extended warranties on things like boats and I inquired about it. The guy there gave me a printout. Carchex was the printout that he gave me and it was only that person. So I had called around and I called CarShield. But the package that Carchex had was just great for the price.
The guy who helped me out and answered all my questions was very thorough and straightforward. He tried to see if he could give me any discounts. In these times where things are uncertain, the price that he originally found for my vehicle was a little extreme. He put me on with his boss, and they negotiated the price. They helped me get it down by at least $80, which helped out a lot. However, I was told that I would get an email of the policy that I signed up for with everything in it. But I never got the email. I was also told that they will be sending one by mail, which I haven't received yet. I just gave that to maybe it was the Fourth of July so things were pushed back a little bit. But I signed up for the service on the 29th of June. I was gonna call the representative that I spoke to back and see what's going on with that.

Carchex was convenient. I've seen that they do monthly payments and so far, the experience has been good. The extended warranty has knocked down a lot of the costs. Their specialist explained everything well and it was great dealing with him.

We were looking at extended warranty people online. Carchex came up as one of the better-rated ones. CarShield was one of the other ones but some friends of ours have CarShield and they have been running into some issues with finally making a claim. I didn't want to go that same route so I reached out to a few individuals in companies, and Carchex' individuals had called me and answered the questions. I didn't purchase anything right off the bat. I continued looking, but at the same time, gave my husband enough time to do his own research and making sure that he was happy with the purchase.
I talked to Steve from Carchex and I had 3 different conversations with him and letting him know what I was wanting. He would come back with, “Hey, we had a sale. Can I interest you in this?” I was getting ready to call him myself and tell him we got a green light to move forward and he was actually calling me to say that he had even more of a discount than he was offering. I figured that was probably a good sign and a good deal as far as moving forward with it. He made a comment of being able to pretty much use anybody if I had a claim. The options of choosing somebody were more availability to me rather than you can only use A, B and C people.
My biggest concerns were some of the luxury electronics because in previous model vehicles I've had those go out and didn't have coverage. Those were some of the things I wanted to make sure that if it happened again, I had something to cover those. Steve was able to give me quotes for those. I had also written down the highlights of what Carchex offers versus other people's and I'm fairly understanding of what it was that I was signing into.

There’s something that’s gonna go wrong with any vehicle. I like the fact that Carchex covers towing. They also cover the main things like the engines which go out on average. They also covered my air conditioning system in my other car. It would’ve cost me a lot more if I hadn’t had it. This is the third vehicle that I have aftermarket insurance with Carchex. The service has always been great.

I'm very displeased with Carchex. I canceled it because I had come to find out it was a fraud and a hack. My friend had a timing chain pop in her engine, and they tried to claim that her timing chain was a pre-existing problem. Their rep had my card on file for almost a whole month and then he took the amount off without me even finalizing anything. I’ve been asking them for a couple of weeks to return my money and they’re refusing to return it. They’re not even answering my calls now. I reported it to the main branch office. I haven’t got a phone call back in more than a week.

With regards to your friends contract, we do not know which customer you are referring to so we cannot speak specifically to this claim denial by the contract administrator. However, we can speak to the process and how an administrator would determine a timing chain failure to be pre-existing.
If a claim is filed early into coverage for an internal engine repair, the administrator may require tear down to the point of failure and request an independent 3rd party inspection to verify and document the failures for review. The inspection would include many photos of the vehicle and the professional opinion of the inspector as to the cause and timing of the failure.
The administrator may also consider prior maintenance records and the data reported by your vehicle's computer which may show when any check engine light occurred. Any claims decision to deny the failure for pre-existing would be based on the collection of all of these materials.
When you purchase with CARCHEX, we do have the ability to request the information from the contract administrator and review it to help assist with the claim. If we do not believe the documentation supports the decision, we do submit the claim for review and attempt to have it overturned on behalf of our customers.

My truck got 40 something thousand miles on it. Once it gets to 45 or 50 only the engine and transmission are going to be under the warranty that's why I added an extended warranty before my warranty runs all the way out. I called my insurance, asked them what's a good option and the lady that helped me out recommended Carchex. I got the biggest policy and the experience was fast and easy. The rep was very helpful. I appreciate him a lot. Carchex is a really good company and they rank high. I won't have a problem if for instance I'd have a problem with my car and I go in. I just pay the $100 and they're gonna take care of my car.

I was available to get all my concerns and needs met in purchasing the warranty. My agent was available in answering in a timely manner and I was able to examine the policy as stated in the mail. I felt very comfortable in purchasing an extended warranty as I have not done this in awhile. I have always owned newer cars and leased cars. I have decided to keep this car for awhile and felt it was good to invest in this product at this time since my car can be expensive to fix with all the electrical components in newer cars today.

I needed an extended warranty on my 2005 Nissan. Some of the people at the post office where I work have CARCHEX and they have been recommending it to me. The Carchex rep was very helpful and he was talking back and forth about their policy. It sounded like Carchex got it together from what I read and then talking to that guy. I had Carchex on my other car. I had a 2008 BMW and when I had some problems with that, I called them and got everything done. When you drive a BMW, they get expensive to repair. I've tried CarShield before and I don't like them at all. This is my second extended warranty with Carchex and the process was very easy. The rep did very well. I had to jump through no hoops. They emailed the contract and I printed it. There are different plans. The older the car is, the less stuff gets covered. Sometimes, you think you're covered but you're not because of the plan that you selected.

I got this high-end car and I want it to be protected. So if I need major repairs, I have some kind of warranty that will cover most of the expenses. I researched and Carchex was number two on the top three that came up and that I was able to get ahold of. Purchasing was easy and simple. I did it while I was on a walk with my dog. The rep was great, very thorough in explaining everything and he gave me some good options and prices. Having the protection plan makes it a lot easier and relieves you of stress on what things are gonna cost.

Carchex the only one that I found that would actually put a warranty in my car. I looked at what they had to offer when they said free tow and they could give you a free rental when getting your car fixed and all that other stuff. Their reps were very helpful. They explained everything that I needed to know. They also emailed me about other things that I needed to look at when it came to the policy. Also, I might end up doing another one on this other vehicle of mine. An extended warranty helps with keeping the car that you've already paid for.

They only pay for BMW parts of your car was serviced at BMW. However other than that I’m very happy with the company and the representative.

Carchex had a little better price for my older vehicle but then the vehicle blew up on me. I couldn't afford to have it fixed and there hadn't been enough time with Carchex. I've already reported it and I'm getting a refund. They were great. If I get another older car, I'll call them back.

A couple of days ago I filed a complaint about CarChex thinking that I might have been lied to by a customer service rep. In short the car was sold March 20, 2020 and I have a refund coming. IT had been several months since I heard anything and I was wondering what happened. I called the customer service number and it seemed that there was always an excuse (COVID-19 – I FULLY RESPECT THIS AND HOW THEY HANDLED THEIR EMPLOYEES) but I also kept getting next Friday, next Friday and so on about the refund.

I wanted something to protect my Jeep. Initially I was Googling a company advertised all the time. I almost signed up with them but I read some bad reviews about them. I said, “Let me look up the top ones.” CARCHEX was at the top of reviews. I read that people were really praising it. I called up, and I was grilling Phil, the rep. I said, “I see the other one advertised all the time, but you guys aren’t advertising.” He said, “We gave up ads and depend on word-of-mouth.” That was impressive. I asked about all my concerns, and then from that, he garnered what I was looking for. The price seemed reasonable, 220 a month for two years. That wasn’t too bad. I got the 1,000 miles and a month from the date that I signed up. I only have to pay for two years but I’m covered for five. Phil also let me know that I could renew, so that was a thing.
The only problem I’ve had so far is, and Phil apologized for this, my name is Kathaleen, not Kathleen. I will always emphasize this because people like to correct it for me and remove the A. But I got the contract and it says Kathleen. When I called, the second Phil heard my voice, he goes, “I remember you, because Kathaleen.” I was like, “You didn’t seem to remember when you did the contract.” But Phil was friendly and he answered the questions that I wanted to know.

CARCHEX was the only one that would give out an extended warranty to my vehicle. The person who got me set up was very informative. I was also grateful he was able to find the lowest price possible. But there was a question I was trying to figure out. I meant to ask the rep when I was purchasing the warranty but it didn't come to me until later. I was gonna try to get ahold of him for a minute. I left a message and I still haven't heard back from him yet. My question was mostly about when the car goes to the shop to get repaired. Do I pay the deductible up front or when the repairs are finished?

On - 05/22/2020-At 12:27pm... I called and spoke with Michael **/CSR. I specifically told him I wanted to purchase the: Carchex Care By Royal- Silver plan. Which included: Seals and Gaskets. Amt: $3997.00. But, he sold me the: Royal Admin Services - Centennial plan. I have called and emailed Michael multiple times and he only called And left a voicemail one time about some turbo/super charger, which I never spoke to him about, because my CTS doesn’t have this feature on it. I even included the CEO on one email.
I need this contract rewritten with the correct Provider and mailed to me and updated in your database, so I don’t have problems if I go to the dealership for repairs. Micheal guaranteed/assured me there wouldn’t be any issues, due to I’m a cancer survivor and I can’t be under stress. But, then this happens???? I don’t want to report this behavior to the Better Business Bureau.

Agent lied about everything in the contract..when I discovered he lied in the pre contract and tried to call the agent wouldn’t answer my calls. I had to put bad reviews on every Website including BBB. Then the district manager called and tried to correct the problem but the damage was done. I cancelled and got my money back.. stay away. These guys are crooks.

I went online, looking at warranty services and trying to see which ones I could find for my car. CARCHEX was one of the ones I did find. I called them and priced out what I could. I had already planned on making the purchase but then I got really busy. Then they called me back about a month later and said they were having a deal which dropped their premium down. The guy talked to me and then set me up with his boss. They gave me a better price quote than they did originally and it was cheap. So I did it at the spur of the moment.
The customer service was great, especially when compared to my actual Kia warranty. They had called me and proceeded to tell me that it was the last call and that they had given me multiple notifications, which they didn’t. I told the rep that I hadn't gotten anything from them and that I have been trying to find a warranty but I wasn't sure how much it would cost. She proceeded to tell me that it was gonna be $300 a month. I said I would have to talk to my mother if I could have her help me because I have so limited hours to even be able to afford that. And she just hung up the phone on me. Then CARCHEX called me. I was like, “Oh, okay. Looks like I’m going to CARCHEX then.” CARCHEX also doesn't try to hide anything. They do go into detail when you ask and they’re very clear on what their warranty covers and how much it is.

The warranty on my vehicle expired so I needed to get a replacement for it. Carchex ranked higher among all of the other warranty companies based on the research and the information I was given. Having a protection plan is very valuable because you just never know what happens with your vehicle, especially being a high mileage and older vehicle. But I would love to have a warranty that literally would cover anything that would happen to your car. So if it is engine-related problem, everything related to the engine and not just certain parts of the engine are covered.
Purchasing the coverage was a positive one. My only concern is I have two vehicles and I’m very particular in regards to when I want to do something. I specifically wanted to make sure that my first vehicle was covered first and then my second vehicle was covered second. But when I got the emails, it was wrong because it had my husband’s name first, his vehicle, and then mine. I was very specific for that not to happen, and yet it still happened. That was just a bad taste in my mouth, but they were able to fix it right away before anything was sent to me in regards to the contract. I also had to call a second time because of the waiting period was incorrect. It was correct for my husband but not for mine. I received the contract for my husband yesterday. I still haven't received mine.

Carchex was the only one who would still allow my vehicle with the mileage that I had on it because it’s older. Their customer service was great. I gave them my number and they gave me the information that I needed to know, and they were able to set up quickly. Everything went smoothly when I purchased the warranty. I already knew exactly what I was looking for and so, it was simple and straightforward. If people are okay with parting ways with their older vehicle, then they should not worry about it. We kept it around, which was why we decided to go with Carchex because we don’t have a car payment and we liked being able to have a reliable vehicle.

Other warranty places didn’t have as good coverage as CARCHEX did with the deductible being so low and all that. I went through them and their reps were pretty informative about everything. They explained everything that was covered and how to do things. They only told me about the one option that my car qualified for because of the mileages on it. But once they explained it to me, it was pretty cut-and-dried. The only thing is that I purchased my warranty about two weeks ago now and I still haven’t received the contract, the little card in the mail. They could improve on sending out correspondence to their customers.

They told me that they were approved by Edmunds. But I don't think that's true. What I think is they advertise on Edmunds' site. But the fact that Edmunds would allow them to advertise, I thought it stood for something. The rep that I talked to was pretty thorough. Overall, my experience seemed pretty thorough so I'm pretty happy with it so far.

I purchased a warranty from Carchex in December 2019 not knowing I purchased the next to the lowest plan available. I would find out on 5/30/2020 at the Nissan dealership that this warranty was a disappointment. My truck had a rear axle seal leak that was denied when my claim was filed. The next level the Gold plan would have covered the work I needed done. This is very frustrating when you are misled thinking you have purchased a good warranty and find out right away that you didn't. The agent's job is to sell you a warranty by any means by selling you something cheaper to appease you. I am not happy that I was not advised about the levels of coverage until I saw them online. I immediately knew the work I needed on my rear axle would be denied.???

I researched the internet on different places and sent messages out here in their email. CARCHEX was the third person to contact me that didn’t seem like they were playing any games at the time. It seemed like they really want to get something going. Everybody else were leaving messages and calling me at work. CARCHEX was the only ones that worked with me on that.
When they called, I was listening what they said and they said something different from what I’ve already researched. The rep told me a little bit about the program and what’s going on with it. What he said was right from what he told me about and from my past experiences dealing with matters like this. They got a plan. He took my information and then he came back with an email the next day saying, “Hey. We’ve got this plan. Have you reviewed it?” I haven’t even had a chance to review it yet. But I reviewed it online what those different plans were so I had an idea. The rep said it would be X amount of dollars per month and that was it. It sounded like a good plan to me.
The only thing I don’t like about dealing with any type of extended warranty type plan is that there’s a certain criteria you have to follow. For instance, you have to get the vehicle checked out, keep all the records for it. But there’s still a little leeway there that they could wiggle out of it and not pay you and I’ve heard these disasters in the past. I just got my pamphlet in the mail and I read over a little bit of it. But I haven’t gone through all the legalities of what they’re talking about. The plan could be a little cheaper. But having a bumper-to-bumper type coverage is one of the most important things you can have, especially for a used vehicle.

Left a message on their website asking for a quote for a BMW I8, no answer, no call back, no email. Two weeks later specifically asked them for a quote, no phone call, no reply, no email. If these guys can't even bother to respond when you're trying to BUY a warranty from them, can't even imagine how hard it is to get a response when you have a claim.

I went through the internet and got a copy of a list of people who carry a car warranty. Carchex offers a lot of things that the ones didn't have so I choose them. I got almost everything covered on a car that I need to get it covered on, especially on the engine and the navigator. The rate was pretty good and reasonable. That day I called, Carchex was the best one that had the things that I really wanted. It was a good experience because sometimes, we don't get that on the phone. The rep took his time in finding me the cheapest rate and he explained everything to me. He was very professional about it. They went through the booklet and went through an outline with me on everything they covered. If I want some extra, I can get it added on there.

I had spent some money on repairs for a Chevy Cruze that we have and right after the warranty expired, I didn't want to get involved in high repair costs again, so I looked for a warranty. I did an internet search and a Better Business Bureau search, and the choice was between Carchex and Endurance. Carchex came up with a better Better Business Bureau rating, and when I talked to the guy who sold me the warranty, he was very straightforward, honest sounding and informative. I didn't have any trouble with him at all. He did a thorough job too. He went through the different levels of protection, the cost, and what was and wasn't covered. The monthly cost is reasonable, but we'll see how that goes. Hopefully, having a need to get the car fixed won't happen, but that will be the true test of the service.

My mileage had gotten to a certain point where I could no longer stay with the company I was with and having a protection plan is very valuable because of the cost of service any day for major incidents with your motor and your transmission, especially on my vehicle. I have an Infiniti, so parts are usually a lot more and replacements are a little costly also for a repair. Better Business Bureau had Carchex rated higher than most and when I spoke to someone who transferred me over to a representative, it was solid customer service.
They were friendly and they stayed on the line until I was connected, and then they announced the call. I wasn’t on hold too long either. The representative was knowledgeable and he thoroughly answered some basic questions that I had as well. The coverage was similar to the extended warranty I already had, but I wanted to go into detail as to what specifics within the coverage was covered and what I would have to pay out of pocket. Things were explained as far as the questions that I had and I purchased this warranty. The process was quick and I just received my Carchex packet in the mail also.

I’m glad I got a warranty at a good price that I could afford. We decided to get coverage because the car dealership was beating around the bush, giving us a quote with an extended warranty when we purchased a car. Then we chose CARCHEX for the friendly service, the good discount and the better price. Having the warranty is very valuable because you never know what kind of life that car had. So it's good to have a clear conscience in purchasing something when you don't really know what future it can avail to you. Purchasing the warranty was pretty straightforward. The rep was pretty decent. I was trying to converse with him and repeat things to my fiancé. She really didn't know what the best thing for the car. I did and I got the top package that they have there. In fact, the rep only offered the best package for that type of car. It's best to give it the best package – bumper to bumper. I don't have to worry about cutting any corners with a cheaper package.

He went over all the plans with me, too. On the second day, when I called them back, they gave me the same guy which was good because he already knew what I was talking about and what I was looking for. He went over all the plans with me. I was on the Mercedes-Benz website to get the extended warranty through them but they don’t have mixed payment options. Then the website recommended Carchex. That was the next best thing and I went with that. I didn’t have any communication from them since the time that I purchased the policy. I was skeptical at first and thought that they just took my money ‘cause they didn’t give me a receipt when I made the initial payment. But I called them yesterday and they apologized, and the guy sent me over my policy to the email so everything was okay. They were pretty straightforward.

We were looking at another company then we started doing research. We saw some of the Carchex reviews and decided to call and find out more information. The guy was really pushy and insisted that we sign up and then we could terminate it any time we want so we did. We gave him my credit card, which I told my husband I was sad that we did that because I don’t want them turning around and charging it again. Now that we’ve decided to cancel, it was like we had to jump through all these hoops to get it done and we shouldn’t have to do that. Then they sent us another bill that said our payment is due. I’m not gonna pay that. We sent a letter to terminate it and we discussed all the information. It was overboard. If somebody calls and does a policy and it’s less than 30 days, it should’ve been terminated automatically. We’re not happy with the services.

We were asked if it needs to be notarized and again our representative advised no, we simply need an email requesting the cancellation of both plans.
We received your email after hours on 5/7/2020 to cancel both plans and you advised you were sending written hard copies which were not required. Your accounts have been cancelled with refunds being issued back to your accounts.

At first, I wasn’t sure about buying coverage from Carchex but when their rep came in with the two-year payment plan and the no down payment, I thought that I could do it and that I didn't have to put $500 down. Their rep spoke in a language that I could understand. He made it very understandable and he broke it down without me even having to ask him. I got the platinum coverage from Carcex at a decent price and the coverage was for seven years. Other people were charging double or at least more and it was not as much time and as much stuff covered. I ended up canceling the other coverage that I had purchased when I bought my car because it didn't cover as much and they wanted deductibles and all this extra stuff.

I had been entertaining another company but they wanted me to pay up in full for the entire year, and there was something else. I went on AARP and identified CARCHEX then I went with them as they did a monthly payment plan. The guy sent me the information I asked about. I was completely satisfied with his attentiveness. He sent me what I wanted, while I had to request it in the other company. He offered it up right away and made sure that I received it while we were on the phone. I requested it over my email so I could review it over the weekend. I had my laptop and it came through and so I appreciated that. Then I shared it with my older brother who’s been in the car sales business.
After that, it was an easy process. I was sold, then I went through everything with fine-tooth comb, and I was okay with the 30-day wait period and what have you, and the pricing. I got a two-year warranty and that was what I wanted. I did my payment with the gentleman that I spoke to initially and then it was a done deal. I also looked at the Consumer Reports and they had good ratings. The experience was pleasant. It was quick and easy, and I have no complaints whatsoever.

Generally the service was good but, seemed to move a little too fast for my first time with this type of warranty coverage. Unfortunately, I felt like I was conversing with a hard sell salesman. Looking back now, I do believe things worked out OK. Just wish I had more time in the beginning.

CARCHEX stinks. I signed up three weeks ago, gave them $3,000, and I haven’t had seen a single piece of paper yet. The first time I tried calling, the guy that was allegedly on my account twice left messages. He did not return any calls so I finally called the main number and got somebody else who assured me that I would get my packet of information. I told him if I didn’t get it by next Monday, I’d cancel the policy. They couldn’t say anything. I would just like to have them do what they said they were gonna do. They’re executing very poorly.

I asked the specialist about the process and he transferred me to his manager. The manager knew his script really well. He said I could probably think that he was reading from a script ‘cause he could overcome everything I had to say. I guess he knew his job well but kinda relentless on the sales piece and it worked. If only they could be less sale-ty.

I looked on and Carchex had the current A+ Bureau rating. I called them and I had someone who went all policies that they had and what it covered. I actually talked to them today ‘cause I haven’t gotten my actual copy. They sent me my bill on the email, but on there, they said something was wrong. Then they said that I should get the hard copy in the mail. But I just haven’t got it yet.

I had been looking around for an extended warranty. I kept getting calls from all these other companies and I wasn’t impressed with their techniques. The gentleman I talked to, Ken, was very cordial, professional, and specific. What impressed me as well was that CARCHEX had my inquiry still on file, where other insurance companies were just chasing for a sale. The way they handled it was superb. They also allowed me to check out the process and make sure that I wasn’t dealing with any scam type of company, and provided me details of where I could even look at some stuff. I went on a website and gave my name and contact information there. I got an email from CARCHEX's guy whom I tried to call back but then I couldn't get a hold of him. I ended up getting a hold of another person from CARCHEX and he told me about the warranties they offered. I told him what I was looking for and he got me hooked up with the right warranty.
He got me a good discount too. They knocked 900 bucks off the cost. That time, I wanted to pay for the whole thing in cash. However, CARCHEX didn't want me to do that 'cause they wanna make money on the interest. I ended up putting 1,000 down and now I'm gonna make a payment every month. They gave good customer service.

I bought a vehicle from Car City but I don't know anything about the vehicles. I wanted to make sure it was covered and since CARCHEX had what I needed in an extended warranty on a high mileage vehicle, I went with them. The person that I dealt with was pretty good and confident. I kinda already knew what I needed, but he didn't go over the plans. He also didn't specify if the payments would be every month or every week. He just told me it was $115 and that was what I spent.

I went online, told CARCHEX what I had for a vehicle, somebody called me shortly thereafter and gave me a quote. I was able to discuss it with my wife and move forward. They initially offered me an 18-month payment plan, but I asked them if they could do 24 and they were able to do that, so that was nice. Everybody answered all of my questions fully and thoroughly. It was a pleasant experience. I would recommend CARCHEX to somebody who's looking for the same deal.

I looked on the internet for someone that had better ratings then I called several to get a bid on it. I kinda liked what the Carchex people had to say. They were very pleasant, and like everything when people are selling, they wanted me to buy right away. But I told them I had to check with my wife first and I'd get back to them or they could call me back and they were very happy to do that. They answered all my questions and they seemed very upfront about everything. We went over the contract verbally on what's covered and stuff. I haven't got the stuff in the mail yet but they sent me things through the computer.

I was trying to see what kind of protection service I could get on my car. I browsed, read brochures, and I called Carchex on what they had to offer. The representative was helpful. He explained some of the plans that might fit my need for my car, what year it is and we went from there. I didn’t feel like it fitted in my budget so we worked on that. I was really satisfied with the promptness even though we were missing each other’s calls. I was busy at one point and he probably thought I wasn’t gonna do it. I told him that if I wasn’t interested, I wouldn’t give him a call. Having a vehicle protection plan is all a precaution. It’ll come in handy when I need it.

We were going with CarShield, which had so many commercials on television, but the BBB didn't recommend them. So, my husband was looking up some other companies and he found the one that the BBB recommended. So, we decided to go with CARCHEX. The vehicle protection specialist we dealt with was very nice. He worked with us, was very quick to understand our questions and answered all of them. We are in our 80's and he also understood that and that we did not have a whole lot of money. We liked to have the amount about $100 less, but he got it as far as he could, so we went ahead and went with that. I recommend him highly.

I always had a warranty for my vehicle and my previous one had expired in June. When I got on with the first rep from Carchex, he transferred me to finance to talk about getting some discounting that had been offered before. He seemed to do the best that he could for me price-wise. Also, I found that all warranties didn't do convertibles. But Carchex do convertibles. I signed up right on the spot and the experience was pretty smooth.

I have a friend that has CARCHEX' insurance. They were good, courteous and answered all my questions. I just wanted the insurance on my truck to be covered and the rep said some things and those were about what I wanted. He also said he would send copies of what their insurance covers so I'll have that on hand. The price was a bit higher than what I wanted, but if it's better insurance, it may be worth it.

I purchased a used car so getting an extended warranty was something I was interested in doing on my own. Based on the affordability and the opportunity as far as all the different parts that come with the package, CARCHEX was definitely more appealing. Once I did the online form, it didn't take very long for them to get back with me and the interaction that I had with the agent was definitely helpful. He answered all my questions. CARCHEX had good reviews and I went with them when the manufacturer's warranty on my vehicle ran out. However, I felt that I was misled. I didn't realize that my warranty which was in the $3,000 range was only good for 24,000 miles. When I called CARCHEX back to discuss my issue with them, they said that their reps had read the terms out to me. Their rep read to me about 300 miles an hour and it was in their recorded call. The CARCHEX rep played the recording back for me and I still didn't quite hear the terms. Still, the rep whom I talked to said the terms were in there.
I recommended to the rep that CARCHEX should reconsider how they read disclosures. They should at least let people look at their application before they agree to it instead of doing it on the phone like that. That was disappointing to me as a consumer. Plus I didn't get an email containing my policy. When I called, the rep said he had sent that email but it must've gone to my spam as I couldn't find it. I got a contract though when I called them as I was concerned about how many miles I get with the warranty. That was when I found out the coverage was only for 24,000 miles and he sent me a copy of my application. If people are not on top of their game when CARCHEX does the application process over the phone, they're not gonna get the terms. They won't get anything in front of them.

The CARCHEX rep presented the loan well and I told him he was just the first call when I searched. I also said, “I’m not done yet, so whoever gives me the better deal, that’s who I’m going with.” It was April 7 and hasn't been that long. I found a better deal and cancelled with CARCHEX. The only problem I’m still having is I called them several times yesterday to let them know I need to cancel that. I got hung up on, transferred and disconnected.
It was hours later that I was contacted by their own customer service. I said, “I need to make sure you cancel this.” They said the person that was handling my case would have to do it. I said, “Why does he have to do it when I’m calling you, customer service?” They said, “You have to go through the agent who set up the loan." I said, “I’m talking to you right now. I want to cancel this.” Later, the agent who set up the loan called me. I tried to tell her, “I had to get you on the phone.” But I found out that I did get a call, but it’s past the hour. How am I supposed to call back? And today is mostly a holiday.
CARCHEX tried to do what they were instructed to do. I get that but it keeps people in a bind. I also know a lot of people are working from home. But to hang up on me, that’s my problem. If you can’t help me, let it be known. Don’t hang up or put me on hold. One time, I had them on two different lines, but this time I thought they were blocking my number so I had to use my wife’s number.

Always go with a car warranty that fits your budget. In my case, I did my research online on Google after I had a small incident last month, then I went with CARCHEX because they were reasonable. The price for my policy helps me and it works out, especially right now with me being in-between jobs. The customer service was really helpful as well. I spoke to two different people and the last person, Bill, was the one that helped me understand my purchase a bit more. He was a little more friendly and open, so it made me really go in that direction.

The company reached out regarding my problem which I will give them credit for. We found a mutually agreeable solution for the two issues I had. They did not make any promises that I would not have any issues moving forward. It's almost a certainty that I will not be able to use my local dealership unless I want to pay the difference of what Carchex is willing to pay for repairs. At this point, if I have to use the warranty again, I'm not sure where to take my car or how much I will have to pay for repairs.

I purchased the Carchex Ultimate warranty in Dec 2019. This is their top of the line warranty. The salesman not only said that I could but even encouraged me to use my local Audi dealership for any repairs. When you use a dealership, it costs more because they use OE parts. That's common sense. My car was still under the factory warranty so it is guaranteed that nothing was wrong with it.
The first time I used the warranty was March 2020. It was a simple wheel bearing that had gone bad. Total cost to replace - $676. Carchex would only pay $209. After several calls, I get the Customer Service manager on the phone. He admits that it was not handled properly and says he won't charge me my next two payments to compensate me for my out of pocket money.
In April 2020, I take my car in again. The steering shaft needs to be replaced. Total cost to repair - $682. Again Carchex will only pay $287. Once again I am left with a large out of pocket expense. I make several calls to Carchex. No one wants to get involved. I left three messages for the Customer Service manager (told me to call him directly should I ever have another problem). He totally blew me off. My service advisor at the dealership told me that what they do is search for the needed part nationwide (new, reman & used). Whatever the lowest price is, that's what they say they will pay. He sees this all the time. They probably expect most consumers to roll over and just accept this poor behavior. Not me, I will be utilizing the arbitration provision in their contract.

I have an SK8 Jaguar, and CARCHEX did my other Jaguar. Their service is good. I was with a new representative and they gave me a good deal. The coverage was 400 and something dollars, and I got them to make that down to 240 a month. That covered my whole Jaguar, so that was great. A protection plan is valuable for for my Jaguar. Things on it are very expensive and that’s why I went with CARCHEX.

Initially, I really wanted to do a warranty through my dealership. But because of the pandemic, I've been trying for a month to get that done and couldn't. So, I had to explore other options online. I saw that the reviews for CARCHEX were good so I went off with that. Then, their rep gave a strong sales pitch, starting at the very top, and lucky for him, I was willing to not ask a lot of questions. The information that he gave me was very good then I went with a Titanium package. But I really wasn't offered any other options right away. Then after I had signed on, I wanted to know what was a Titanium pack. I looked online and found that there's a Gold, and there's a this and that. I felt like I should have asked more questions and I'm usually very good about that. But at the time, I was more concerned with monthly payments and CARCHEX was amenable to work with me.
Other than that, the first payment came out but I haven't gotten a contract. So, that's got me a little concerned. But if they're gonna play games, then I'll just cancel and go with somebody else. I also had to ask their rep at the end of my conversation with him if it was okay to cancel this contract at any time and he said I could cancel at any time. But it the salesperson didn't offer that up. I asked him straight out. All in all, it was an okay experience, though I wouldn't say it was great because they sold me the top thing without being upfront about my other options. The Titanium package was over 3,000 and that's pretty high. But the coverage is there, it is excellent, and I feel comfortable about it. The term is great as well. At the same time, I know that I overpaid for warranty and that I didn't receive all the information from CARCHEX. And I probably should have asked for that, so it was on me as a consumer.

I bought a new vehicle when I checked out extended warranties, I liked the price that CARCHEX offered. But I couldn't get a direct quote from them. Instead of getting one, I had to submit information then get stuff back later. I would have liked a streamlined way of getting the quote upfront. Doing all their online forms was kind of annoying, too. But once I talked to someone, my experience with them was good.

I googled and wrote down the top three car warranty providers. CARCHEX was the first one that I called since they had good customer service and lower rates. The person I spoke with was very informative, helpful, and answered my questions. Also, their price was a lot less than what I was currently paying, so I decided to go with them. The process was very quick and easy, too. Their rep asked me a series of questions, told me the different plans that were available to me, and within not even five minutes, it was over and done with.

I wanted peace of mind and protection for my son. I wanted to have repair coverage for his vehicle. After I read some of CARCHEX' responses on the Better Business Bureau website, CARCHEX seemed transparent and genuine in their responses. They also gave me good service the very first call versus everybody else. They gave me one quote. And then 48 hours later, they called me back and tried to give me another quote. It wasn't the most competitive price after people called me back a few times, but I felt comfortable with it when they gave it to me on the first phone call. The rep was knowledgeable. He was a salesman and he was good at it.

I always look at reviews prior to making a purchase, and the CARCHEX reviews were pretty solid so I felt pretty comfortable. However, I had to follow up a few times with the first consultant before I even got a response back. But then somehow it got into somebody else’s hands, and he was amazing and professional. Any time I had a question, he responded back quickly. I still haven’t received anything in the mail though, and I see that they already charged me my second month. But other than that, everything was pretty smooth.

I wanted to purchase an extended warranty in case something happens to my car -- it’s expensive to pay all of it out of pocket. I saw CARCHEX on the internet and I went with them. The rep I dealt with during the enrollment process was good. It took around 10 to 15 minutes to do that, so it was not long. They went over everything and they said they were going to send me a package in the mail between 7 to 14 business days. I went with the platinum plan and I like how the payments were.

We have a Cadillac. We have a lot of expensive diagnostic issues with electronics. And the single thing that precipitated the realizing that my car was out of warranty was that there was a touch screen where you can access the radio as well as the temperature and other things. And it just blacked out. I figured, “I know that’s a very expensive proposition and I need a good warranty.” So, that’s why I searched and CARCHEX looks good. The young lady that I spoke to was a lovely girl. She was exceptional.

I had an extended warranty on my vehicle at one point but it ran out and I never went and got another one. The vehicle is just getting older. So, it was time to cover it before I'd be out of luck. I was calling around for prices and the guy from Carchex took a little extra time with me and got the payments down to what I could afford a month. What he told me on the phone sounded good because it covered the windows, powertrain and the AC.

My representative was Ferguson. I told him that I was trying to get the most bang for my buck and that price would be a deciding factor. The manufacturer offered me a nice bumper-to-bumper deal that CarChex not only matched but beat. I saved hundreds of dollars! I got a 5-year plan with 2 years free at a low price all-inclusive with roadside assistance and rental car. I would highly recommend CarChex to anyone.

Everything went well. The only problem is that it doesn't start for a month after you sign up and pay for it. It's gonna be a month before I even get to drive my car at minimal because of the Coronavirus. Some of the competitors had better deductibles with the same amount of coverage, but I had trouble getting from them written where I could see what they covered. With CARCHEX, the policy is straightforward, but there were some things in it that I thought should have been mentioned that are not, like the injectors.

I kept getting phone calls from people I did not know, and I have got 96,000 miles on my truck. So, I would rather contact somebody myself rather than having somebody I do not know contact me with a number that said that they were from where I used to live -- and the area code was not the same as the area code where I used to live, so it looked liked a scam. I went with CARCHEX because of the number of stars on the program when I looked at it. The specialist I dealt with was fine. Signing up went okay and it was easy. I have a 30-day free trial to either decide to keep it or not, too.

At first, I was with CarShield. And then CARCHEX called me and said, “Hey, why’d you get one with them? Because they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau.” I investigated it, they do. CarShield has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. CARCHEX has an AAA rating so I said, “Okay.” I canceled the policy with CarShield and I started a policy with CARCHEX, and then I deal with this thing. I am a pissed off customer.
I bought this car which I only had for a couple of months. I bought the warranty right after I purchased the vehicle. The transmission went out right at about a little over 1,000 miles. I just had it into the dealership to have it fixed. I had it towed up there. The dealership determined that it needed a new transmission, we filed a claim, they came out, and they looked for every reason not to pay out on this. And then the rep said, “Well, they’re requiring us to tear out the transmission and tear it down to inspect it.They told me that it was a preexisting condition.
And now, my car’s sitting in my driveway because I’m not paying $1,000 to have them tear the transmission out to just say that it’s a preexisting condition and then my car would be stuck there with the transmission torn out. I can buy a rebuilt transmission through Detroit Axle for 1,700 bucks with a three-year warranty and put it in myself for less. All I was told was that I would have a $100 deductible on a claim. Nothing was ever told to me that I was going to have to pay for them to do things like this.
I’m stuck in a five-year contract. I have a $4,000 bill that I have to pay over the next 24 month. I have to have to fork out the money out of my pocket to fix the transmission and I have to do the work myself. I bought the warranty so I didn’t have to deal with this. It’s a big issue. Somebody needs to do something about these warranty companies because they’re all doing this. They’re scamming customers and titling repairs as preexisting conditions, or excessive wear and tear at the customer’s abuse of the vehicle. At first they wanted me to get them a whole year worth of maintenance records, but I said, “I just bought the damn thing.”
I’m thinking about trying to get an attorney to file a lawsuit against them because they just screwed me and they’re not doing the repair on the vehicle. How is it that it’s a preexisting condition? I didn’t have any problems when I bought it. I drove it from Springfield, I drove it to my house, and then I drove it for another several weeks, put over 1,000 miles on it, no problems, until a couple of days before the tranny went out, I noticed it was slipping, but I thought it was just me. And then after a couple of days, the freaking thing just went completely haywire. It wouldn’t go anywhere.
And then now, they’re doing everything they can to keep from paying out on this. And they got away with it because now, I don’t want to fork out $1,000 to have the transmission torn out at my expense. The dealership wants five grand for the transmission plus the labor, and that includes the labor to install it. But the thing is I can do it myself for less than two grand, and I wasn’t going to pay five grand to the dealership to have it done. So, now, if I had them tear the transmission down to inspect it, and they were set on determining that it was a preexisting condition no matter what happened, they were set on doing that. I talked to two mechanics and they said there’s no way at 150,000 miles that they would be able to determine whether or not it was a preexisting condition because the wear and tear is going to be there.

According to our records, coverage for your 2008 GMC Acadia was purchased 1/30/2020 with 148,500 miles. The plan purchased was our Silver level Centennial plan.
On 3/11/2020, a claim was called in by your dealership requesting $5024.65 for a new transmission. The dealership provided a mileage of 149,523 or 1023 miles from your starting mileage when you purchased the coverage. Based on the 30 Day and 1000 mile waiting period, your coverage was active for only 23 miles driven.
The dealership reported there were no check engine codes but the transmission fluid was burnt indicating an internal transmission failure. The contract administrator contacted you to discuss the claims process and request the maintenance records for the vehicle. At this time, you reported you recently purchased the vehicle almost 2 months prior to claim. Based on the recent purchase of the vehicle and claim started early into coverage, the administrator requested a copy of the Bill of Sale to verify the starting miles and determine if a pre-purchase inspection was completed. Additionally, the contract administrator requested a 3rd party inspection to verify the failures.
On 3/12/2020, the 3rd party inspector sent his report after visiting the dealership. The report included his professional opinion and multiple photos and videos. The inspector reported the check engine light was on when he arrived with codes P0700 , TCM Code P0796, and P0842. The inspector noted these codes were cleared prior to his arrival and took photos showing this. Your repair shop advised they did not clear any codes. The inspector noted a loud transmission fluid pump whine sound could
The inspector documented there were issues shifting but advised he was not able to determine the cause of failure without additional tear down / diagnostics.
On 3/13/2020, the contract administrator received a hand written bill of sale showing the vehicle was purchased on 1/1/2020 with 148,441 miles on the odometer. A CARFAX report was pulled which showed the vehicle was previously purchased 5/27/2019 with 148,238 miles. Your purchase has not reported to CARFAX as of 3/13/2020.
Based on all of the information from the claim up to now, the contract administrator is within the terms and conditions of your contract to request the additional diagnostics to determine the cause of failure. The claim can be reopened once your repair shop does the tear down as required to proceed.

My service contract advisor, Sterling, and his supervisor, Daniel, were very helpful. They have me a steep discount for paying in full. They assisted me when we needed to change information and upgrade the contract. Pros: great options and choices, willing to meet needs, and have adequate coverage options. Good rating reviews. Seen transparent on coverage (will know more when we have to use).
Cons: price was a bit higher than others, but they were willing to give some discounts, optional high tech and other options not discussed and cost more to add. Getting customer loyalty department was impossible to get a hold of and never returned calls (however, with the virus outbreak limitations, they may have been understaffed). Had to call advisor several times, but he was The only one who called back or seemed who could help me. Some miscommunication on adding the optional coverage. Was told it would be added as a one time compliment without additional cost, but was told later that they were unable to do it.

My factory warranty ran out within the last month. It's something I've had before with other vehicles and I just feel it's worth taking it. It's like health insurance. You might not need it but if you do, it's there. I looked over a few different companies and I compared apples to apples to see what was covered and what wasn't. And from what I found, CARCHEX had better coverage than what I was looking for. I was very happy with their rep. He was very knowledgeable. The monthly payment is a bit more than I wanted to spend but I know I have the option that I can cancel it anytime.

The warranty that I initially had stopped servicing California vehicles and on top of that, I had exceeded the mileage. So I got online and CARCHEX popped up. The quote was great. I liked it. They went over everything it covered. I started with the Silver Package and then I recently upgraded to Gold. The Gold Package covered a little bit more than what the Silver Package does.
Before I upgraded, I was calling CARHEX because I was going to put my car in the shop. My check engine light came on and I spoke with the representative in regards to everything that was covered. I wanted to be reassured before I took it to the dealership to get it checked out, to make sure everything was covered that they were gonna be looking at. The representative emailed me a list of all the parts that were covered. But when I talked to the guy who upgraded me to Gold, he said that he couldn’t do that and I didn't understand because there was a representative that emailed me a list of all the parts that was covered for the Silver Package. Now that they were upgrading with the Gold Package, I was assuming that he would be able to do the same thing. So that would be my only mishap.
I don’t have a problem with logging on to the website and going through the actual contract, but to get that email with list of those parts that’s covered and the possibilities, it kinda saved me to go through all that process of logging in online and scrolling down the whole contract. You gotta kinda look and pay attention at what you’re looking at in the contract to see the part that tells you what’s covered and what’s not. I really felt that if the rep woulda take the time to look at the contract and figure out a way to do it, I'm sure that he would be able to do it. He was capable of doing it. But other than that, everything else is fine.

When I bought the car, I had it under a seven-year warranty. But Honda only gives three-year warranties, so I bought the extended warranty at the time I bought my car. But when I had it refinanced, I told them I wanted the warranty included and they did not listen to me. They didn’t add it to it, so I had to go out and buy a new one. I looked at the ratings and CARCHEX was on the top out of the 10 top rated ones.
But my car will be five years old in September and I’ve only got 15,000 miles on it. And instead of the 30-day policy, CARCHEX had to extend it to three months because I didn’t have enough mileage on my car. But that’s not my fault and that’s not fair. I’m a good driver and I don’t have to drive all over the place. Why should I have to be extended for three months? But that is their policy and I’m not happy about that part. Other than that, I talked to their rep over the phone and he was good. He was a gentleman named Alex and I didn’t have any problems whatsoever. When I had a couple of questions, he got right back to me on them.

CARCHEX customer service is pretty good. Their rep was informative and did everything he was supposed to do. He broke down different policies and what will be right for me. We decided on that, and then he said we had to wait 30 days or 1,000 miles. We talked a little bit about the policy-- take it to the dealer, have them figure out what the issue may be and then give CARCHEX a call and see where to go from there as far as what's covered and whatever else will happen. I hope I won't have any future issues but the car is man-made, so it's bound to have problems. So far, everything seems to be fine.

I got an extended auto warranty from Carchex. I was shopping for the best price, the lowest I could afford. They were the best that I could find. My experience with their rep was all right. Somebody I know said that CARCHEX hast a really good deal. They were with them for quite a few years and they seemed like they were a very good company. I did some research on them a few years ago but I never got to follow through. Now that I am going to need it, I decided to go back with them. Their sales reps were amazing. I described what I needed coverage for and once they gave me the price, I told them I couldn't do that at that moment. They just went ahead and started adding discounts and got me the best deal possible.

Everything went pretty smoothly with Carchex. I got my CARFAX from the vehicle I was purchasing and they presented it to me, secondary to the CARFAX that I purchased. And I thought it was a good idea to grab. So, I went ahead and purchased it. My experience with their rep was great. It was really easy going. It wasn’t as hard as I figured to be. The cost was perfect as well. It was proportionate and fair. I’m sure I’m getting a good value for what I’m paying for.

I purchased CARCHEX but I have a 30-day window, and I'm still waiting on the documents to arrive to look through to make sure I want to continue with the purchase. Their rep seemed knowledgeable and worked with me. It felt good. I can take my vehicle to any shop and they would cover the repairs and I have a $100 deductible.

My vehicle is beyond its time. I thought to put some insurance on it. However, most places didn't take my vehicle because it is at over 150,000 miles. I bought something from Best Auto which I can plug into my machine that checks the codes and CARCHEX came up. I went with them and the rep was professional. Outside the fine print that I had to read once I got my pamphlet, the rep explained much. It sounded like everything was covered until I got to the nitty-gritty to find out if I am eligible for a particular device. I do a lot of driving and the engine light has come on since I got the service.

I just got off the line with Endurance before calling Carchex. The endurance representative was really rude right upon answering the call. I just hung up on him and spoke to MANDY from carchex and she was absolutely amazing!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better representative to speak to. I was really iffy on buying the warranty but she sold me with all of the info and detail she put in. She was also very friendly and very very human-like. I hate getting on the phone and feel like I’m talking to a robot. She was definitely not a robot for carchex, she was her own person and her personality alone sold me the warranty. Great job carchex. I’m excited to have you guys for my warranty plan!

CARCHEX said they cover everything, the 269 intricate parts except for everyday wear and tear like brakes and windshield wipers. At least, I hope that’s still the case. I was given a contradictory statement recently, not from CARCHEX directly but somebody saying that they know what they’re saying. So I want to get some follow up questions with CARCHEX before I reach a conclusion. But I also said I would have to take the vehicle to any Nissan dealership to get fixed or at least a licensed dealership. So far, I was trying to see how the policy would work and the 30 days have passed so I can take the vehicle in for a check-up but I have not taken it in yet as of late.
I had initially done a bit of research on the internet and they said CARCHEX was the top five. But for the Nevada area, the options are so limited here especially if it’s finding great service or anything that is actually sincere and is reasonably priced and not mediocre. If you find a great doctor or a great hairdresser, you cling on to them for dear life. In the case of the warranty, I had three choices left but with one, I didn’t know about the new crew too much and with another, I didn’t like it so much. I would trust that the mechanics will be on top of their game because the warranty company is supposed to get a dealership. That is in theory but not necessarily. I knew, at least, not to settle for cheaper.

I feel like I got a good price and a good product. It's just the overall experience is not fun. Although my rep was nice and knowledgeable, conversations are all very rushed, robotic and unauthentic. Very scripted and all of you warranty companies are very high pressure, and you're easily irritated when challenged. Kinda feels like dealing with a car salesman at a dealership, which is never a good time. Again, I'm confident I have a good product, I just feel like I need a shower after calling and talking to a few warranty companies. It's not personal against my rep, it's just obviously how all the reps are trained.

I called and asked enough questions to feel comfortable about the purchase of the $3750.00 100,000 warranty for my 2012 Dodge Ram and 4 months later I needed to use it, they cancelled it flat. I'M SUING.
Thank you for your review. According to our records, a claim was called in for an engine replacement on your 2012 Dodge Ram 3500. Upon inspection, your vehicle was determine to be a commercially used vehicle with a modified truck bed called a "Truck Hauler."
The inspection stated your vehicle has an aftermarket truck bed for towing trailers, extra external fuel tank and a commercial inspection decal on the door pillar.
Based on the results of the inspection, the administrator advised CARCHEX your vehicle was not eligible for coverage due to the modifications. Your contract was "FLAT CANCELLED" which means it was voided with a FULL refund issued.
Our team reviewed the calls with our staff and determined you were properly advised we do not cover vehicles with modifications.

Great people to work with. Overall a bit high on coverage provided and policy period but decided to purchase because of previous purchase. We were charged a "Waiver" because car showed up as salvage. Major disappointment that they would not let us provide documentation showing State and Insurance Inspections to validate soundness of vehicle. While understandable, that "status" cost us a great deal more.

Requested refund. The amount mentioned of approximately $1,100 to be refunded each time several calls for update was met with extended waiting which resulted in non answering. Where to start.. Buying a plan was a little easier than trying to get service from them. I was planning on driving my car till the wheels fell off. Each car before I would get around 250k to over 300k so I know how to care for cars. First time for purchasing an SUV and used at that but with low miles. I liked having peace of mind on major repairs. After buying the warranty I still had questions and followed what I thought was everything that the service repair business recommended. Even if I didn't feel it was needed. If it was recommended to give me longer life to the SUV I did it.
Problem -- when my SUV gave me a problem out of the blue I didn't take a chance. Had it towed in because I had towing service, 1 month later after number of calls trying to speak to the person handling my claim it was denied. You might think I was just upset that it was denied (yes upset) but it took over a month to get an answer. Then they started with well miscommunication. Yet I followed to a tee to get what information they needed each time. Sent to an email that they gave me. No I was at fault cause it was sent to another department. Yet when I could actually talk with someone they said all the notes were clear and with the claim# each person at the company could pull it up in seconds.
After waiting two weeks I called daily sometimes 4 times a day to just be told it was being worked on. Imagine my surprise to be called not by warranty but by the repair shop that they had closed the claim because I failed to send in required information. Then calling after I hung up with the repair shop only to be placed on hold and told the person was not available. I would receive a call. Never happened. Now the excuses, new customer service employees might have been to blame, I had bad numbers listed. Yet I left my cell# each time I called. 3 weeks 2 days later another call from the repair shop. This time denied cause the service center that handled my car from day one recommended a service past the mileage that they said it needed. Never once got to talk to the rep.
At the end I finally was placed in touch with a senior person who apologized for the mishandling of the account and "have a nice day". To boot I am being told to pay a storage fee for the SUV being held that long even though CarChex was at fault. Car Chex pays its claims through a 3rd party. Please understand that. They hide behind that. They say it's out of their hands. You need to talk to them. Well good luck if you need them cause they WILL NOT BE THERE if you need them. Get a better reputable company to deal with.

However, your interactions described in this review were with the claims administrator, not CARCHEX. We were not even aware of your transmission repair until we received your reviews.
In review of your records with CARCHEX, the last time you spoke with CARCHEX customer service was in November of 2019. You also called in on a Saturday, January 1/11/2020, and spoke with a Vehicle protection specialist who confirmed the date and mileage your coverage expires. The rep also confirmed coverage is transferable to a new owner if you sell the car to an individual.
In the future, if you are having any claims issues with the administrator, please call our Customer Service team at (877)227-2439 Ext. 6002. Our office hours are between 9:00AM - 6:00PM ET.
In the meantime, we have reviewed your claim called in for a transmission repair on 2/18/2020. The contract administrator advised the repair shop maintenance records would be required and called you to advise of the same. The administrator ordered a 3rd party inspection to verify the failures and received the inspection on 2/21/2020. The adjuster spoke with you and the repair shop multiple times on 2/21/2020 requesting the maintenance records, specifically a transmission flush record required at 150,000 miles by Ford. Additionally, they requested transmission line pressure readings from your repair shop.
On 3/2/2020, the adjuster called the repair shop again to follow up on the maintenance record and pressure readings. After speaking with you on 3/2/2020, it was determined there was no record of the flush being done at 150,000 miles. A record was received with a flush being completed at 172,638 miles on the odometer or 22,638 miles after the required maintenance.
If this maintenance was done at 150,000 and a record is provided, we can ask for the claim to be reopened. However, the claim has been denied for lack of maintenance. Please give CARCHEX a call at (877)227-2439 Ext. 6001 if you want to discuss this matter further.

The factory warranty on my wife's car, the Lexus, was gonna be running out in six months and I went to the dealer but they were close to $3,000 only for two years. My insurance agent John, a Northfielder, recommended CARCHEX. They have insurance with the company too. The gentleman I talked to at that time from CARCHEX said the policy would give me bumper-to-bumper coverage. He explained it and I said I understood about wear and tear, like windshield breaks. It makes sense because that's normal, even if you buy a car today and get a warranty. He was really nice as well.

I had a claim for my car and they wouldn't cover it, I put full synthetic oil was supposed to last for 10,000 miles, brought the car to the dealer and the dealer said that I had a blown engine, when It wasn't even the engine it was the oil pump. I change the oil on time, I don't even drive the car that much. This is just my weekend car. And the specialist said that I had no oil, and then I'm trying to cancel the contract. They won't refund me all the money that I put into it every month. Don't get the contract. It's a waste of money. They suck!!! Dishonest company, all they want is your money, and when is time to pay they don't want to pay.

According to our records, coverage for your 2010 Dodge Challenger was purchased 10/9/2019 with 50,201 miles on the vehicle. A claim was called in 2/11/2020 with 51,005 miles on the vehicle. At this time, your vehicle met the alternate waiting period of 90 days and 200 miles driven before claims could be submitted with the vehicle being driven approximately 804 miles since purchase of the coverage.
Based on the request from your Dealership for an entire engine, the contract administrator sent an independent 3rd party inspector to verify the failure. The inspector reported the vehicle had driven 4 miles since the last oil change. The inspector documented and provide photos of a brand new oil filter installed on the vehicle with absolutely no oil ever coming in contact with your filter. The inspector also documented heavy metal in the oil pan and metal scoring to the crank and bearing in Cylinder 1 consistent with lack of lubrication.
The inspector also documented the oil pump being dry with the oil pump body and housing showing metal on metal scoring. The outer pump gear was scored and dry (no oil) and the inner gear was broken into several pieces.
The inspector provided his opinion of the cause of failure as consistent with engine being run with no oil causing sub damage to the oil pump and cylinder 1.
The contract administrator reviewed the pictures (51 total) and documents provided by the inspector and agreed with the inspector. Unfortunately, your claim was denied based on the cause of failure being lack of lubrication.
With regards to your refund, cancellation instructions were sent to your email address on file. We are currently awaiting your written request to cancel to calculate your pro-rated refund amount in accordance with the terms and conditions of your contract.

My warranty was expiring. I went on the dealer’s website and they had three companies that they recommend. Carchex was my first call because they were the number one rated. They seem to know their stuff. But their rep didn't seem very professional. He bashed other people saying the others had F ratings and stuff. Then come to find out, they're just a broker so Carchex ain't even gonna be the one who does the warranty. I just did about 30 minutes of research and that wasn’t enough. I knew the guy who owns the dealership and I thought I’d get his opinion on it. I called and he said that they offered one there and it was $1600 cheaper for the same coverage. It's not as long, but it will cover me for three years and 60,000. Carchex's was 125,000. I had 30 days to cancel it and I was thinking about canceling it.

The warranty on my vehicle is gonna be up in about a month, so I was shopping for an extended warranty. The Carchex salesperson who I spoke to reminded me that I had a warranty with them back then with a GMC Denali that I had. Their rep was knowledgeable, courteous and professional. We went over the details of what was available and it was pretty cut and dry. I like the package. But I had some hesitation in regards to how the whole GM replacement part of it would go. I called back to cancel it because I was gonna go with the dealer but Carchex had a better deal overall, so I decided to go ahead and keep them. Anyone who’s getting a car that’s not a new car should get an extended warranty. It's useless if you purchase a new car, but it’s a godsend if you can find the right price and the right package. I had a satisfactory experience with Carchex. If I had to do it all over again, I would still make the same decision.

When I looked over a handful of review sites, Carchex was consistently in the top three of those. All these types of insurance products are a little risky, depending on how things change. But they seem to be more stable than others, which was why I started with them. They told me the best that they could and they were pleasant. I told them my budget and they were able to beat it. They said they had these specials going on.
However, I’m a little concerned with what I got, but not because I’m afraid of what they told me. I have more questions than normal, so I am going to take advantage of the 30-day cancelation period, do some more research and make sure that this will work for me. I’m calling a lot of my local shops that I would potentially use and see if they ever used Carchex. Carchex says they work with any company that is certified, but I’ve already found a couple that they do not.

A vehicle protection plan is very important with the car we got because you can’t work on them like you used to. CARCHEX is one of the best, they said. In getting their service contract, pricing was important, coverage was most important, and the rating that they got online. They finally worked with me and got different types of discounts. CARCHEX's rep was very persistent. He kept following up. I told him that I was checking with Lexus to see what their business offers. I went in my email to compare what he offered and what Lexus offered. As soon as I got hold of the email, he was calling me again. I guess he set the email to where every time I checked it, it gave him a notification letting him know that I was looking. The rep sent an email saying that he was following up with me to see if I still want their service. I told him what Lexus was offering me and the pricing. It was less than CARCHEX's. So, the rep gave me the same benefits at a cheaper price.

When I purchased the vehicle online from one of these online sites, my mind was already made up that I’ll purchase an extended warranty. It mostly mattered that whoever had the best reviews is who I went with. CARCHEX also had extra things that they had to offer and also the amount of time, like the 100,000 miles on top of what was already on the vehicle. Purchasing was very nice. Normally I’m very busy, so the gentleman had called me back about three or four times, and it didn’t seem to bother him. A lot of times, he seemed to inquire about some things and I just say, “I’m not sure.” I didn’t have the time to go over everything. He then emailed me and I was reading in my own time.

Vehicle protection plans are very valuable and CARCHEX is the second warranty I've purchased. I researched them and they were at the top of the list. Purchasing the plan was easy. Their rep was great, too. He had my wife cracking up, laughing. I had a Cadillac Escalade. The engine went out and I also changed my oil. CARCHEX didn't give me any problems.
