The guy explained what Carchex could do for me, and the pros and cons with my previous warranty. He had the right answers for everything. He was very honest, convincing, knowledgeable, and well-researched on both companies. Being said, they would cover the car for a whole lot farther and not penalize me for the age. That made the difference for me. The savings was great as well. I'm still waiting on my hard copy of the policy in black and white so I haven't had a chance to review what I bought.

My experience with Carchex has been very good. It's affordable & the customer service is great. They have good customer service. I definitely recommend carchex to anyone looking for affordable car warranty. There's always someone to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. I had CarShield and CarShield was terrible. I spoke to a guy from Carchex and he seemed reasonable. He did a good job. I wanted something, but I wasn't prepared to get it that day. But after talking to him, it seemed to make sense. The pricing was a little more than what I was paying with CarShield. But as long as they hold up their end of the bargain, I was comfortable.

I never received a contract and the sample PDF file on the website will not open. I asked, but never received one? Paul was knowledgeable and very helpful and the terms of coverage were acceptable. Good experience with all staff. They returned my call as agreed and the payment process was as stated. I will certainly recommend the company to others as the need appears.

I had a warranty with CARCHEX and I sold the vehicle earlier this year. I called and told them I sold the vehicle and that if there was any reimbursement on the warranty, I wanted it. It turned out there was and things went pretty well. I had multiple people contact me with regards to purchasing a new warranty after that and as soon as I got my new vehicle and got my new VIN number, I went ahead and called CARCHEX. I told them to apply the residual from my previous warranty to a new policy. I'm satisfied with the transactions.

The sign up process was really simple and easy. The associate gave me a lot of information and answered all of our questions regarding all of the different things that the warranty will entail. I had hard questions and if he didn't know the answer, he went and figured it out to make sure to give me the right answer Also, getting ahold of him was really easy. I recently purchased a car and I was trying to get different quotes from different extended warranty companies. CARCHEX was one of them. I asked their guy to send me the contract so I can review it and he sent me a sample contract, not an original contract. I reviewed the contract in two days. I found that CarShield had offered the same warranty, with even more features and more add-ons for 1,000 and some dollars cheaper. I decided to cancel Carchex and then I decided that I don't need a car warranty right now because I still have my manufacturer's warranty going on.
They would sell their warranties online in like 20 minutes but when it comes to cancellation, these guys wouldn't cooperate. I had to call them thrice and every time, I waited for 20 or 30 minutes to just get to a guy to talk to. Then, as soon as I got to the canceling department, they made me hold for 20 minutes. A guy talked to me and told me the procedure I got to go through and that I got to fill a form and return it to them. I didn't understand that I had to mail it. They wouldn't cancel it online. I don't even have a contract with them. It's a hassle for me and I asked them to try to understand. I tried to be polite to them but none of them were trying to coordinate with me. I kind of felt very harassed.
These people who are running a business are manipulative. Their guy told me to check out other companies who don't have good ratings at the Better Business Bureau. When I later read the reviews on other sites, I got to know the truth and when I tried to file a complaint myself, I got to know how Carchex works. He tried to market false stuff to me on the phone. They gotta be honest when they're selling a policy and let people know, in case they decide to cancel, that cancellation takes time. It will take 60 days to return my money, which is another frustrating thing. I spent $12 to mail and then I need to wait 60 days after that notice got delivered to these guys.
Thank you for your review. We apologize for your frustration related to our cancellation policy. According to our records, your policy was cancelled 1/4/2021 and the down payment transaction was voided 1/5/2021 putting the $114.14 funds back into your account.
With regards to our cancellation policy, once a plan goes beyond the 30 day money back guarantee, a written request is required by the insurer of the coverage in order to cancel your warranty. The email you received from our staff is the standard cancellation policy describing this process and refund time of 45-60 days. However, after review of your calls with our staff, you were advised to simply reply back to the email as your plan was within 30 days of purchase.
A confirmation of cancellation email was sent to you 1/5/2021 confirming your cancellation was completed and the funds would appear in your account within 3-5 days.
With regards to the hold times you experienced, you called 1/4/2021 which is traditionally one of our busiest days of the year due to the New years Holiday. We apologize for the hold times but our call volume was double our normal volume due to our offices being closed for 3 days due to the holiday.

I used to frequent a business that was right next to Carchex. I knew the name because I've always shopped around for extended warranty companies. I went in and visited them. I read the contract in detail. They’re like higher end and more expensive for a new car bumper-to-bumper warranty. I chose them because I done some business with them and I know they're real. They seemed more believable to me. The guy that I was dealing with was very thorough. He took the time. I asked him questions into depth on several different things and he was very nice to deal with. I would recommend people calling him as far as the process goes.
I got an exclusionary policy. When you buy a new car, the only thing they tell you about your warranty is what they don't cover. Basically, they cover every single thing on the car with the exception of the small list of exclusions which makes it an exclusionary policy. So if you buy a new car, they're not going to cover the replacement of your tires. They're not going to cover the fact that your gas tank is going to go empty every week or two. They're not going to replace your windshield wipers. All regular items aren't covered. It's easier to list what they don't cover because basically they cover 100% of the car. 99% of all extended warranties are inclusionary. They give you three or four pages of what's included which could be 200, 300 items but you have tens of thousands of items in a car. Those are not comprehensive coverages.

I asked for an estimate through ConsumerAffairs then I was getting email after email plugging buying a policy from Carchex and following up about it. It seemed odd to me. I kind of felt like I was being scammed. I ended up buying a policy from them and my fingers are crossed that they're legit. I haven't received anything specific to my policy and it seems like I'm having a lot of trouble getting documents from them. Even with the estimate, it tells you to click on the link when they send you an email and to put in your last name but it won't generate anything. The agent said I was the only one with that problem and I've tried it multiple different ways. I hope that everything comes through.

Tried 4 days running to contact your customer service after I received the packet...was put on hold...then disconnected. Tried website... Finally emailed Customer Service directly...still no response... Pathetic customer service...have still not heard from them...have not received any documentation that they have received my directive to cancel my coverage. This is totally unacceptable.

I am an older widowed woman and I purchased this warranty from Carchex from Larry. He assured me they would be there for me and take care of me and boy did they. I have a 2009 Volkswagen EOS. I purchased this policy 9/21/2020. There was a 30 days and 1000 miles waiting period. I drove the car 39 Days and 1135 miles when the dual clutch assembly went out on the car. I immediately took the car to my mechanic and Carchex came out and had me tear the transmission down, no broken parts, no slug, no abuse, simply a mechanic break, the adjuster looked and told my mechanic he agreed no abuse nothing showing other than sudden break of transmission since you cannot drive it with this issue.
I was told this issue would not be covered because I had only gone 135 miles and this would not have happen in this time frame but if I had drove it 300 days with the same scenario this would have been covered. I was told this by the manager Henry. I asked what is the difference if it is the same scenario? Henry said it is different because that means it is pre existing. Henry said he would talk to my mechanic and if he could prove it was sudden he would pay the claim. After 5 days Henry finally called back, my mechanic explained how the system works, it goes to limp mode and you cannot drive the car when the dual clutch assembly goes and that is as sudden as you can get. I met the required mileages and days per the contract to be eligible and I feel we met every one of their requirements.
We had the transmission torn down. Was told if nothing in there no broken parts it would be covered. Nothing in there denied. We asked for another look. Yhey asked for the dual clutch be torn down. We did even though this is a closed assembly that nothing there clean, denied. Then Henry wanted to speak to mechanic who sent documents for this car I purchased used in July showing the maintenance I had done on the car to show car was in good mechanic shape. We sent the bulletins on the tear down and how they determined the dual clutch was the issue.
I feel the issue is this is a very expensive fix $4500 and they don't want to pay. Please help me. This is wrong. I played by their rules and did everything they asked and met all their requirements but yet they can say this was pre-existing because it happened in 39 days and not 300 days same scenario from a vehicle that has 76000 plus miles. Can you tell me the difference? I met the waiting period with a valid claim and this. Please help me with this issue. I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you.

The warranty I had with the dealership ran out. I looked up ConsumerAffairs and they listed the top, and CARCHEX was listed second. I went with the first one. They said I had 20-inch wheels instead of 18, that they couldn't insure me. Then I went to the second one which was CARCHEX. They're all very nice. I paid it in full, and I know they have payment plans that are very reasonable. There's no reason for anybody to be stuck with a broken down car when it's so affordable to get an extended warranty.

My vehicle has been very good to me. But at some point, my luck is gonna run out. I had been considering to get warranty coverage for a while and depending on what the cost and the coverage would be, it might be a reasonable investment. Purchasing a warranty was a little more complex than I would have hoped for. It was like buying a car. There were several rounds of negotiations and several alternatives. They weren't offered until I said no and then they had this proposal. Eventually, I was turned over to the boss and eventually, I got a deal that I was comfortable with. Sometimes, the lowest price is the best value but not necessarily. But even if the original plan was acceptable to me, I would have asked for other plans that they had because 9 times out of 10, there would be another plan.
Many people would be very uneasy or annoyed if they found out six months later, that there was an alternative that was never presented to them when buying the coverage. But of course, most people will never find out because most people don't ask the 8,000 questions that I do. Sometimes, the other side gets annoyed with that. But these people from Carchex were patient enough to listen to my questions, and move me along to the point where I felt comfortable that I was getting what I wanted.
One of the restrictions of this plan is that it wasn't good for 30 days or 500 miles. My issue is that I'm not putting on very many miles partially because of the pandemic, but partially because the nature of my business at this point is mostly sitting at a computer and having zoom meetings. So, I don't travel the way I used to. I may have to go for a ride just to put the miles on so the plan is active. But so far, the experience has been good.

I have an older vehicle that is still in good shape. Other people drive it besides me and I just wanna make sure it's taken care of. I liked the price and knowledge of the agent that I spoke to. I just purchased a car and it had above 150,000 miles on it. It's a good car and was in good condition but it's a machine and typically, machines break down. I figured I'd rather build my roof when it's sunny out than when it's raining. I don't wanna be paying for something then apply coverage to the vehicle. I want it to be covered before something inevitable happens. I wanna be covered when it does.
CARCHEX was a straight shooter and I felt I wasn't being hit with any gimmicks. I didn't feel like I was talking to a salesman who was trying to make a sale but rather a person that understood exactly the plight what I was in. If you say a vehicle has 150,000 miles, most people typically would try to charge you an arm and a leg. CARCHEX was a little pricey but I got to protect my vehicle. It's worth it. They helped with the savings. Their people were extremely informed as far as exactly what is covered. That's a big deal for me because typically, salespeople may know a lot about their product but not know everything. This individual from CARCHEX knew everything and knew what he was doing.

My vehicle had been stolen before so I wanted to make sure that I had an extended warranty on it in case something arose that I did not know about. My car had one previous owner and with 100 plus miles on it, I wanted to make sure that if anything was to come up, I was protected. I heard really good things about Carchex from several car companies. They were the best when it came to making sure they stood by whatever warranty they had.
The sales guy I had was very knowledgeable and he gave me a military discount. He tried to do everything possible to work with what I wanted. I was initially gonna go with the bronze plan but because what he was saying was great, I went with the silver plan. I didn't care about the price but I cared about the experience and the people. I would recommend Carchex to all my friends now because just to know what they would have done was amazing.

I was going through some article for the extended care and it was mentioned that CARCHEX is one of the best. So for my peace of mind and safety, I bought the CARCHEX. They gave me a lot of options. They also gave me discounts and then they said they extended the monthly payment to 24 months.

When I pulled up my CARFAX, CARCHEX was kinda linked to them, saying that they offered the limited warranty. The rep walked me through everything. He told me what I was getting into. He broke down my actual limited warranty, so I know what is covered and what is not covered. So he was pretty helpful. It's a peace of mind, knowing that I have extra coverage on my costs or if something was to happen, I'll be covered.

My car is almost four years old or a little bit past and I wanted to insure it in case anything happens. I spoke to different extended warranty companies. I wanted a better deal and not so many hidden clauses. I ended up with Carchex and it was great. Ken explained everything and answered my question. It was so easy. I even repeated some of the questions over and over again. Ken took his time and he reminded me or explained to me over again how things worked.
I called Ken the other day because my boyfriend was purchasing a car from a used dealership and they don't give an extended warranty. The first time I called, I spoke to a receptionist then he transferred me over. He told me Ken wasn't there but he would leave a message and Ken would call me back. He called me back the next day so it was pleasant. Ken gave me a quote and explained to me what was covered. He was very detailed in his explanation and helped me feel comfortable with what he was telling me. I'm very satisfied with the information and how Ken explained everything to me as well as all the details he gave me about the insurance. Having a vehicle protection plan is very valuable because you never know what can happen. I've been bragging about Carchex and I speak very highly of them. I even recommend to others getting an extended warranty and how they should call Carchex and ask.

An extended coverage gives some reassurance if my car ever goes down. I have a Porsche so I don't wanna pay for any or pay X for that at full price. It was great dealing with Carchex. It seemed sketchy at first because as soon as I put my information in, somebody called and started asking me for my information. But once I got the proof of purchase, I was fine with it. I was fine with their price even though one other place did have it $30 cheaper.

I have a super expensive vehicle and if it breaks, that would be very expensive. I got an extended warranty with Carchex and it was super easy. I called the number on the phone and on the website. The guy that answered was really nice, super awesome, and very helpful. And the rep was knowledgeable and kind. He answered questions and didn't talk over me so he was all right.
Once I got the policy set up, Carchex's website to pay was user-friendly and it allowed me to set up extra options for those going through the process. It wasn't very confusing. Having the extended warranty is priceless at this point. It was $11,000 to fix the car the day after I bought the warranty. The car is actually in the shop now. It broke the day after I called Carchex. There's a waiting period and it's not like I can do anything. But overall, Carchex is wonderful. Their price was right.

Carchex seemed to have better service and experience when I looked them up. My experience signing up was phenomenal. Everything was quick and very easy to understand. It was very easy and it wasn't a long-drawn-out process. Everyone should look at getting a protection plan on their vehicle. If they don't have a warranty through their dealership, Carchex is the second best thing right here.

Carchex had the best overall coverage for the most affordable price. It was very easy to purchase from them. They helped me out as far as with explaining the coverage. They also didn't try to force the sale, so it was a seamless process. They're very professional and knowledgeable. They explained it to the teeth and I was satisfied with it. When you have a used vehicle, and extended coverage is definitely a valuable thing to have and I definitely recommend Carchex.

I was told by my father-in-law that it would be a good idea to purchase an extended warranty. I got to look and CARCHEX popped up. The rep I spoke with was really good. I feel really good about what I'm paying as well. Having an extended warranty on my 2011 Chevy Malibu is very valuable to me.

I usually buy new vehicles because I like to have a warranty on the vehicle. We're now trying to do a Dave Ramsey program and we are trying to pay for things without financing so I was looking into getting a used car. I had seen CARCHEX on the Carfax website so I called and I talked to a gentleman. He was so helpful and explained to me the ins and outs. He was honest about the pros and the cons.
But I did not end up buying the car that I was going to look at and I told the guy that we were still searching. He was so nice and told me that he would check back in on me. He called me back and asked if I had found a car. I still haven't yet. I wanted a convertible bug. It's a 2013 with 49,000 miles on it. The guy called again and by then, I told him we were getting the car that day and if he were to call me in the afternoon, we would talk. I told him my needs and my wants. He was going through it and he said 30,000 miles would come first. I couldn't do that because I put 30,000 miles on my car in a year. That was not going to be a three-year warranty for me. That was gonna be a one-year warranty.
But the guy was so thorough and was one of the best as far as dealing with anybody on the phone. He explained the differences like “I’m gonna put you on this. Your deductible will go down, but you're gonna lose some of your coverage. We’re going with a longer warranty.” In the end, I got the 100,000-mile three-year warranty. My car is covered until 150,000 miles and I couldn't believe it.
I checked with the Better Business Bureau and CARCHEX has an A rating with them. I checked out some of the reviews and what people were saying about them. I had seen that the CARCHEX is rated number one right now as far as car warranties. I felt very confident in my purchase. I also asked the guy if we could get the service cheaper if we were to pay all at once. We saved about $800.
I was not with my husband when I was making these decisions and I told the guy that. He said he would make it easier for me. He said he would put me down where I would only get charged as if I paid the policy in one payment. But they would set it up on six payments at 444, which was fine. Now, I have this nice car with a 100,000-mile warranty on it and it's paid for.
I was very satisfied with the customer service and with what I hope to get as the product. My mechanic told me that car warranties are great but sometimes they would screw you. They would send somebody out and would want the mechanic to tear the motor down completely. They would then say, "Well you didn't change the oil like you were supposed to. This is neglect." The motor's on the floor but the warranty company would not pay for it. I was looking for a car warranty for the protection of my vehicle. The warranty I had was getting ready to expire on my vehicle so I needed a warranty to cover the basics. I looking at some of the protection plans and I chose Carchex. I read their ratings and all of their reviews. They had better reviews than some of the other ones had. And when I called, I liked the offer they made me. Everybody went above and beyond trying to get me the best rate that I could have with my warranty protection coverage. They really thoroughly went through everything. I thank them for that. Carchex is a great company. You need a vehicle protection plan because you never know what can happen. If your transmission was to break down and you don't have the money, you have the warranty. You just pay that $100 deductible. That's wonderful.

I have a Mercedes Benz and it's very costly to keep up if it needs repairs, so I was looking for some help. I had a standard warranty with another company but it was a little too high for me. I spoke to a young lady at CARCHEX and she was beautiful. She was there to help me and she didn't let anything stop her. She was able to lower the price. The plan sounded like a pretty good deal. It covers almost everything.
Have an extended for your vehicle is the best thing that you can do nowadays, especially with cars being expensive as they are. And repairs are even worse. I hate the fact of having to pay a car note and having to pay a repair note at the same time. CARCHEX is a great thing for people that have cars that are very expensive to repair. It’s heaven-sent because that's what we needed. Cars still break down on you no matter how well you try to treat them. They are still gonna have their days when they are gonna act ugly or something's gonna happen. I'm glad that I have my warranty. I had a repair once before and it was $2,300. The warranty company I had then didn't even pay 1/3 of it. I don’t wanna have to go through that again.

I had an issue with my car, so I had to get it repaired. After the cars that I put there for one of the fixes that I did, I would consider having an extended coverage was very important. I was happy with how the Carchex rep explained all aspects of their coverage. I got all my answers and I was dealt with very nicely. My experience was very good. I had no issues either in terms of getting information or details or why I should go with Carchex. I keep on telling everyone about getting a warranty.

Carchex helped out a friend of mine. Signing up with them was good and smooth. Everything was explained to me in regards to what would be covered, the major parts of the car like engine or transmission based on the plan that I got and some of the smaller details as well. I was able to get the coverage I needed at an affordable price per month that was ideal for me. It's a gold plan. It covers cars that have high mileage.

I was doing some research online and the website I was on was doing a comparison of some different choices, and I liked the way the comparison was presented. CARCHEX was kind of what I was looking for. It’s a bumper-to-bumper warranty and they kinda stuck out amongst the other ones. I liked the fact that they have been around a while and their reviews were very good. I was really going out on a limb because I have never done anything like this before. So I'm hopeful everything's gonna be okay. The enrollment process went well. They were very helpful to me. They were able to help get it down to a price I could manage. I just bought an older vehicle and I wanna make sure that all my bases are covered. I was supposed to get Endurance but I spoke with a guy who told me what I would be able to get with Carchex and that I wouldn't be able to get that with anybody else. The guy that I spoke to was super helpful and he answered all my questions. I didn't really know too much about extended warranties and the guy was super educational. He was awesome. This is the first month I've been dealing with Carchex and so far, so good.

I just bought a used car. I invested too much money in it to not have an extended warranty on it. I had to get the full coverage on the car. That's what made me get one. They gave me the top 10 warranty cars people and Carchex was number two. I signed up and everything was great. They were very professional. They got down with me and explained a lot of things to me. It was very reassuring. I like that because a lot of other companies don't do that. I'm gonna continue to keep this policy because things happen. My monthly fee is pretty good and my deductible is 200. That's a good price. I just need to get back and talk to the guy if I have to pay any out of pocket expenses.

Ken did a really good job and signing up with Carchex was quick and easy. I like their coverage. The pricing was right and you can cancel at any time. You're on a month to month basis. If you make a claim and it wasn't what you thought, then you can cancel. You're not out that entire two years $2,000. I kinda like that part of it. The other thing was that you don't have to come out-of-pocket. If something happens to your car and you go to the dealership or a certified mechanic, you're not coming out-of-pocket then getting reimbursed. That feels kinda like a safety to me. There's not a possibility where you paid for the service then the company decides they're not gonna reimburse you ‘cause it's not covered for whatever reason. I really hope I don't have to use it but it sounded like if I am gonna need it, it's gonna be worthwhile.

Carchex had a good price and the Toyota dealer is usually pretty good with Carchex. They also offered a little bit more of time on it for service. The gentleman I was talking to was pretty curious and gave me all the information I needed. I'm still waiting for my paperwork to come in and I hope the services is as good as the rep.

The rep was pretty straightforward. However, I had decided it’s not very valuable at all so I cancelled it. They can be a little hard to reach sometimes and it was kinda hard to cancel. I need to call them again to make sure it's canceled. We got disconnected and nobody called me back.

I wasn't too happy with with auto warranty that I had. I did a little research and Carchex was one of the top three warranties so I picked them. They were real knowledgeable and helped me with a monthly payment. The lady gave me 30 bucks monthly so it was real good.

The customer service and the experience with Carchex have been great thus far. I bought a plan over the phone with them when they called back. Everything was self-explanatory but they gave me a rundown. I just bought a BMW and I wanted to be covered as much as possible with it. It's a ‘14 640i which is a really nice car. It doesn’t have any issues but I wanted a peace of mind. That's why I looked up the top 2 and the top 2 were Carchex and Endurance. Endurance called me back yesterday and was possibly gonna offer me a better plan which is equivalent to the platinum plan with Carchex. I have the silver plan with Carchex. Endurance is covering a little more components and parts for just a little bit more. I was going to see if Carchex could match that. But as far Carchex, so far, the service and the transaction were great. The price is really good too.

DO NOT BUY, THEY SAY IT COVERS COVERS EVERYTING UNTIL THEY GET THEIR MONEY, THEN IT COVERS NOTHING ALL OF A SUDDEN!!! I can go on and on all day about how preposterous this company and their product is, and even worse their customer service, but I'm tired from making BBB complaints (they have 60 saying the same thing in the last 10 months, FYI) and filing complaints with the attorneys general. Save yourself the aggravation and monetary losses, they will rip you off, their product is TERRIBLE! You're better off just paying for repairs. I've paid them $4,333 in payments and they won't cover an $800 electrical repair. Go look on their website how often electrical coverage is mentioned.... Unreal.

According to our records, a silver level 4 Year / 48,000 mile Centennial Plan was purchased on 8/31/2017 for your 2006 Cadillac DTS for a total cost of $3382.00. The optional stand alone seals and gaskets surcharge was included and you were offered Extended Financing for 30 months. CARCHEX paid the down payment of $112.74 to get you started since you had a previous plan on another vehicle.
At the time of purchase, you were also offered our Titanium level of exclusionary coverage for a total cost of $5292.00. This plan is our highest level of coverage and would have covered this repair however this plan was not purchased.
On the purchased coverage, a claim was filed in March of 2020. This claim was approved and paid to the repair shop a total of $730.92 after deductible for your Alternator repair.
Recently, your repair shop called your contract administrator for an ignition coil repair and were advised this is not a listed component on your plan.
The silver level Centennial plan lists the following electrical components as eligible for repair:
"Alternator, voltage regulator, starter motor, starter solenoid, ignition switch, front and rear wiper motors and switches, washer pump and switch, headlamp switch, turn signal switch, rear defroster switch, blower speed switch, power window motors, regulators and switches,and the power door lock actuators and switches."

I liked the Carchex ad that I saw on the internet and the people I talked to. The customer service rep was very helpful. He gave me his extension number if I ever have a problem which I haven’t. He went the extra mile. He wanted to make sure I had everything I needed. I told him I wanted to make more payment than 200. He said that was not a problem. When I told him how much, he got a supervisor involved and said that we could go ahead with that and we did. Usually, they want you to make a payment, get it started, then make the additional payment. But he and his supervisor arranged so I could go ahead and do that. I'm very happy with the way they treated me. They were very courteous and very friendly. They answered all my questions and gave me helpful information. It was done in a matter of minutes.
However, I'd like to know when I can get a copy of any policy of some kind. I only received a copy of what it would look like because they were taking the payments in that. I did not receive an actual Carfax copy. Having a coverage is very valuable. I stay on top of vehicle repairs and so does my husband. We told Toyota for a year and a half something was wrong with the wheel bearings. About the third visit every six months, they finally said, “You have something wrong with your wheel bearing." It was kind of aggravating but they took care of it.

I have an older car and I didn't wanna worry about what happens if it breaks down. I went with Carchex and the experience was fairly easy. I told them to call back and they did. I bought it once they gave me a much better price than their initial offering. Having the coverage, I can send it to any dealership or any shop that I like and I do not have to worry about negotiating better prices with them. The warranty company will usually take care of that.
My biggest problem not just with Carchex but with all these car warranty companies is that it seems they all refuse to give you prices by email or through their websites. It seems like they intentionally hide the prices. They all wanna talk to you and give you the prices on the phone. I would like to see multiple prices from multiple places and kind of put them side by side, do a comparison and maybe change things. Sometimes they offer you six years versus five years or 75,000 miles, 100,000 miles. They bombard you with information on the phone. I have to go write it down so I can remember to compare.

We had a previous warranty with CARCHEX and it worked out very well for us. When we made a claim in the past, the process worked fine. We paid for the deductible and they settled the rest of it with either the automotive place we took the car to or the dealer. Buying another warranty from them was incredibly easy. One of the things I like about them is that they give you a reasonable price. There’s very little unnecessary negotiation going on. CARCHEX is great.

The first person I spoke with at CARCHEX gave me a high price and so, he transferred me to someone else. I was on the phone with that person for a very long time but they got the price down. They sent me all the information right away. My car has over 200,000 miles and because of the mileage on it, they only can protect me with the powertrain. I can only get a limited type of warranty and that was kinda disappointing. But the price was enough that I could pay in advance for the whole year. However, they wouldn't let me as they don't do that. And so, I paid for the first month. I had 30 days to change my mind.
Another company contacted me and they had a better offer. CARCHEX has an expiration date of how long my car could be covered. That's for 50,000 additional miles. The other company said, "No. It's no limit". I am going to change over to them.

I needed a decent company and it said online that CARCHEX was part of the top 10, so I decided to give a call. The down payment that I had to do wasn't too bad compared to some other companies. Their representatives were knowledgeable and they followed up with me. But they said that because we're in Florida, they can't offer any discounts compared to other states. That was kind of a bummer and there's no reason behind it.

My agent was extremely helpful. He went above and beyond to help me to make sure I got the best price. Because based upon my knowledge, I had quoted him a higher mileage the first phone call. He gave me a better price. He didn't have to do that. Some companies will sucker you out of money, and he didn't do that. He advised me to make sure I had the correct mileage and he said to give him a call back when I had that, and that was what I did. I went ahead and not only got it for the one vehicle, I ended up getting for both of my vehicles.

I bought a car and it didn't come with a warranty. A guy called me and I told him about my car that it was a rebuilt title. He paired me up with Carchex. The representative I spoke with made it fun and easy. She did a really good job. She got me one, and I got one for my husband. I only got to pay $100 deductible if anything goes wrong compared to thousands of dollars and hundreds and thousands of dollars that I ain't got. I will recommend it to others to get it.

I had a warranty on my Dodge Avenger that paid for itself and I thought that was a good example to get extended coverage. I did some research and I didn't like the attitude of the first-rated provider. I went with the second, which was Carchex. But they denied me because of a modification to the truck. I told them the tire size because of the lift kit and they called me back and said it was a no-go. I feel like having bigger tires should not affect it. But they were great. They called me and they explained why. They were very nice about it.

Car repairs are so expensive. It's like having health insurance. You pretty much have to have it. It's too expensive not to because sooner or later, something will happen. The CARCHEX rep was pretty knowledgeable and we worked out what I needed. I was very satisfied with them. And then, they make it easy to take my money. It makes you happy. The problem is, it's a bet. The warranty only goes up to 125,000, where I'm at. And chances are when it's gonna fail, it's gonna fail after 125,000. But if it goes out before that, then it's gonna be a real bugger. That's what insurance is all about. It's shared risk. I've got a bunch of older cars that I would never buy warranties on. But this one's relatively new, and if I lose the engine or the transmission, it would be devastating economically.

I saw a lot of reviews and CARCHEX had good reviews at the Better Business Bureau. They've been in the business for a while already. I barely got the warranty last week. I'm gonna go and make sure that I have warranty at the Mercedes and that if something happens to my car, I know I have warranty. I got my pre-owned vehicle a while ago. I'm young and out of Houston, so I don't really have a lot of family. It came convenient for me to instead of paying the full price for my car when it needs to get fixed, I have a co-pay of $100 and it saves me money more than having to pay the full if something happened. The pricing was very affordable. I'm just waiting now to see if the warranty is useful and CARCHEX runs their company like they say. I had great customer service.

It's my first time buying a Subaru and I'm not so familiar with that car. I don't expect anything crazy to go wrong with it but just in case, I got an extended warranty. The Carchex sales guy on the phone talked me into it. He took me to the BBB, Better Business Bureau, and showed me some of Carchex's competitors and their issues and stuff like that. I chose not to follow that as it was too expensive, did not cover some things, they were not clear about it, and I just chose not to give them any more money. The CARCHEX representative explained everything clearly and the discount enticed me to go ahead and purchase their warranty. He was fairly knowledgeable and I got all my questions answered at that time. Hopefully, I won't have to use it. The experience was easy and pleasant, and I would do it again if I were purchasing another vehicle that needed a warranty right now.

I've had this warranty for a few days now, but I used to be a customer with them about six years ago and I loved their service. Their customer service was amazing. Everything that I've ever claimed was handled so efficiently and professionally. That made me come back to them. But my very first phone call with the first rep was so bad. I told him, "You just don't wanna deal with people today and I'm gonna call back." So I called back. I got the other guy and I explained to him that I was gonna have questions and that I was not a difficult customer but I haven't been with them in so long, so I wanna see if anything changed that I like prior. He told me, "No, I'm here for you." He was patient and genuine. He really helped me be able to customize a plan that fit my monthly budget. The last time I dealt with Endurance, they were able to recoup my customer service and it was awesome.

Once we got on the phone with them, it seemed to be very reasonable and the fact that it's a money-back guarantee, I can cancel anytime I want to. I'm not in a contract with them. The representative was very knowledgeable, personable, and she enjoyed her job. She joked a little bit and it was relaxing to have the conversation. We were pretty thorough with her and went over everything that we could come up with and it just seemed like the best thing to do at the time. Carchex would allow me to receive invoices and pay by check or money order instead of them having the auto-deposit or phone check so I decided to go with them. It was all very nice during the purchase but I haven't gotten the paperwork yet. In any case, everything was satisfactory.

We had had coverage on our vehicle from the time that we purchased it, and the contract was expiring, so we looked at what was available to continue with a contract on it. We looked at what was available for a vehicle that matched the age and mileage of our vehicle. Then, we looked at what the available coverage was. We felt like CARCHEX met our needs. As far as the initial contact and purchasing, everything was very good. The representative was very helpful. He made himself available to me. I was doing some research when I contacted them, and he answered all my questions and didn't pressure me about purchasing the contract, which was good, because I'm not one that responds well to that. He didn't hound me, which went a long way with me.

When we bought our car, it came with an extended warranty from the manufacturer. We like the car so we try to maintain the car and we continue to have coverage until we pay it off. We liked CARCHEX's price, the coverage, and the payment terms. Purchasing the plan from CARCHEX was seamless. It was a good experience.
When I called CARCHEX, I said, "I want coverage for six years." So the rep gave me a quote based on that information. Then I asked him about what's covered and I found out that six years is available with just a basic coverage. So instead of the year, he helped me to get the coverage that we wanted instead of the number of years we wanna cover. For us, having a vehicle protection plan is a peace of mind. My experience with CARCHEX was stress-free and the sales person I talked to has a very good follow up. I’m very satisfied.

I bought a BMW with high mileage on it. I was trying to figure out who would be the best to go with for coverage, and CARCHEX was the first that popped up. They had an A-plus with the Better Business Bureau as well. It was a little bit rocky at first. I was trying to see what pricing was and things of that nature. The next in pricing or next to somewhere reputable was CarShield. I went back and forth with them. CarShield was offering me a warranty of 1,000 off cheaper, but I had to look at the reviews, the Better Business Bureau rating. I went back to CARCHEX ‘cause they have a price match guarantee. When I explained to them things from my point of view, they worked with me. They didn't match the price, but they knocked $400 off the price of my warranty. They’re a company and they wanna get as much as they want. If customers wanna negotiate services, they'll negotiate so that's one good thing.
The protection specialist was a good guy. I asked a lot of questions like what doesn't the warranty cover. He explained to me everything that wasn't covered, so that way, I could make sure I got the right plan that was appropriate for what I was trying to do. He answered any questions, gave me his number, and sent out information the same day. He was very helpful. The thing that dragged customer service down for me, and it was partially my fault, was I called later in the day. A lot of times, I don't get off work before 5:00 or 6:00 so I called around the time it was five and a half hours before they closed and they bounced me around so much. They hung up on me twice. I’m attributing that to people who were leaving early, and they had a lack of representatives to handle calls, ‘cause the next day when I called back, there wasn't any of that stuff going on.
Having this warranty is very valuable to me. I have a couple of friends that had this car and they’ve told me that when getting a small repair, it gets very costly. A repair could be $1,200 to $1,500 for just a basic one. So, to pay for $2,500 for a warranty that’ll last five years is pretty good. Just knowing that when I’m riding down the road, if anything happens, I can choose the warranty shop of my choice and I don't have to wait till something breaks completely down. If I notice any noise or anything that’s abnormal, I can take it in and CARCHEX will cover it. They're a great company and they’re customer service-oriented. I had a bad experience, but it was quickly rectified. As long as their customer service is good, they'll be around for a little while.

I have talked to the CARCHEX customer service, and things were pretty good. As soon as I get my papers, I’ll be fine. They also didn't tell me what I need to do when my car needs to go in the shop and what is the amount that I have to pay. I talked to the lady from CARCHEX yesterday, and I told her I didn't get any information and she said they would call and send the amount. They did not set it up on what date it's supposed to have been settled, so I got that straight.

My vehicle is a 2001. I figured it's better to be safe than sorry and looked into getting an extended warranty. I went through reviews on Google and the Better Business Bureau website and decided to go with Carchex. I worked with two of their reps over the phone and they answered all my questions. I know they have a lot that they have to say during the phone call and I asked for it to be repeated so I can make sure that I understand the contract and they repeated and I understood. I feel like the coverage is worth the money. Also, I was on my online account and the navigation was really easy. Everything is straightforward and right in front of you.

I was on the fence whether to buy a new car. There's such a low mileage on the car at the time. It is five years old. So I said, “You know what, I spend $15,000 roughly or more to replace the same car, it doesn’t make any sense.” So, I decided to get the policy. CARCHEX's price was very good, and it also seemed to cover more. The only problem I had, and still have, is that they put it in my name because the car is in my name, and they said I could add another person to it. They wound up putting my wife as the owner but I called them up to correct it. They said they corrected it and sent me a copy of corrected information. Supposedly, the rep emailed it but I never got it. I never got a hard copy. I have to call them up again today. Other than that, they were extremely courteous and helpful.

My current extended warranty when I bought the vehicle new was expiring. I wasn't ready to get rid of the vehicle yet, so I didn't wanna go without a warranty either. I called the dealer I bought the car from and they gave me a quote and I thought to check around. I did a bunch of internet searches and looking at ratings and reading reviews. Ultimately, I got a quote from Carchex and it was better than the quote I got from the dealer. The sign-up process was easy and simple. The representative called me within five minutes after that and he was friendly. He answered the questions I had and told me a lot about their product and how it works. It was very thorough. I just can't use it ‘til the 30 days is up for the waiting period.

It’s bad because they haven't even sent me the paperwork on what's going on with my car. I need it to show me that I am insured. They need a follow through when they say they’re gonna do something.

Upon signing up last week on Friday my warranty plan, that was suggested for me to pick, I choose upon reading more about my warranty, I choose to upgrade my warranty so I called the person I spoke with and could not get a hold of him so I left a voicemail and called 3 additional times and also emailed the representative but was ignored. This is a bad start to have close to just a week of signing up, I am strongly considering cancelling and going with another company.

I’ve had two warranties that I've bought at the top of this year, and both of them kinda let me down. I compared CARCHEX to the two that I signed up for. CARCHEX was the best one so far by ratings. They have a decent pricing, and purchasing the warranty was great and painless. It’s pretty cut-and-dry. It wasn’t my first purchase, and so I kinda know what to look for and know what I’m buying. The rep described everything thoroughly and told me the expectations like keeping the vehicle up and keeping maintenance schedules. He explained every detail of the warranty to me.

I had an auto warranty before and it was helpful. I wanted to keep something similar moving forward. I talked to a Carchex representative. He gave me all the information and I signed up with them. He was very thorough in his knowledge so it made me feel comfortable with the decision. The website was pretty straightforward. It has a very ease of access and navigation although I haven't done too much with it yet. I just logged in to look at my policy number so that I could have it with me until my card comes in. I could give it to the shop that I take my car to. I’d recommend the representatives to keep doing in being knowledgeable in the products that they're selling. That's what made mine easier.

This is my third contract with CARCHEX, and I haven't had any negative experience. I've never seen their reps, but I feel like they are my friends. When we have conversations, we talk not just about the coverage and about the car, we also talk about what's going on with my life and what's going on with their lives. I have a reliable vehicle but being 13 years old, I like to have that kind of coverage and peace of mind. CARCHEX was pretty highly rated, not as high as they rated as Endurance, but they had better customer service reviews. Also, their limit of liability was a lot higher than Endurance. Endurance would only pay as much as the cash value of my car for repairs over the lifetime of the service agreement. The cash value of my car isn't the highest in the world because it's a Crown Victoria. It's 2007. CARCHEX's limit of liability that they'll pay for repairs over the lifetime of my car is either the cash value or $15,000, whichever is higher. So they'll pay 15,000 worth of repairs, whereas Endurance would only pay maybe four max.
The CARCHEX rep was a nice guy. His name was Nick and he took time to explain everything. I called him multiple times asking a bunch of different questions to make sure it was something I can actually use. He was really helpful. He also walked through the list that he emailed me, all the different things that are covered and things that aren't. Having the coverage is really valuable, especially this day and age, as expensive as even just the most minor repairs can be.

I was shopping around a lot for extended coverage. The prices were competitive but at the end of the day, Carchex made me seal the deal because they have been in the market for a long period of time. That kinda made me feel good and knowing that they are nationwide also. The rep was very helpful and he explained everything thoroughly. He was very attentive to try to make the best possible deal for me so I can proceed in buying it. Then, he provided me with his upper management and the upper management took care of the whole deal after that.
I like how efficient it was to make payments and how they were able to do it over the phone. And there's a better rate if you paid in full and I liked that. As far as the coverage, they gave me the best tier that they had. It was explained to me that everything is pretty much covered. I liked that they gave me the best package possible.

We bought our car brand new and decided that we wanna keep it. It's almost at 100,000 miles. The warranty that we bought through Chevy expires this month, so we decided to go ahead and get the additional warranty. Not that we've had any trouble with the vehicle. It's just we've had vehicles that had issues. Like we had a Chevy Express, high top van, that went through three fuel pumps. So, we always buy the warranty, which people say is crazy, but in our instance, we have not found that to be true. We had an Astro van which we bought in 1988 and got the 100,000-mile warranty. At 99,988 miles, the engine blew so they had to put a new engine in it, which we were not happy. We just decided that because we can tow the Equinox behind our RV, that would be the vehicle. We decided we wanted to make sure we have five more years and some other mileage available.
I talked to one other provider and they were almost $400 a month. Also, they didn't say how many months. I was like, "That's ludicrous. That's like another car payment. I'm not doing that." I saw an ad for CARCHEX so I just checked it out and talked to Frank. And then I talked to my husband, and we decided that we would go ahead with it. The gentleman that I had talked to was not available to talk, so I talked to the general manager, and he was very nice. He was a Bears fan, so we talked about that. It was a very nice conversation. Very friendly, very informative. I didn't feel extreme pressure or anything like that. He explained everything. Then we went ahead, and that's about it. I would have friends definitely check out CARCHEX if that's what they needed or they were thinking about it.

My car's manufacturer warranty was over and it’s still in great shape. We wanted just to make sure that we were gonna be able to maintain it. I researched online, and CARCHEX seemed to get the best reviews. So, I went with them. The purchase was simple and great. It was all over the phone. Their rep was awesome. He explained everything. It didn't take more than a few minutes and we got it all set up. Having a warranty is very valuable. We have another car that we have had an extended warranty, and it ended up being a lifesaver for us. So I plan on doing that with all of our cars once their warranties run out. He broke down the plans, what they covered, what they offered, and the costs. He made sure that I kinda understood what each plan was and what each plan did. I'm still waiting for the packet. I guess the representative mistyped the address, so the packet went somewhere else. I reached back out to them, and that was how I found out that the address was incorrect. The protection plans are probably invaluable because if something major goes wrong, you're gonna pay really hefty to get your car back on the road. I haven't been able to use the warranty yet, which is probably a blessing.

I purchased a new used car, and it had an extended warranty on it already that the dealership sold me. I had 60 days to decide whether I wanted to keep it or not. I started shopping to see if there was a better plan out there and I came across the CARCHEX website and I talked to their representative. She convinced me that their plan was better and less expensive. So, I purchased their plan and I cancelled the old plan I had.
The rep was really good. She showed me how it was for a longer period of time and it was based on the value of the car at the time of purchase of the plan, not necessarily the depreciated value of the car at the time of the repair, which was pretty important. I have a plan for eight years. She convinced me that it was a better value, so I bought it.
I haven't had to use the protection plan, but having it is handy because if you have a major repair, then you'll have to pocket a lot of money. Sometimes you don't have access to that money, so you put it on a credit card. Having the plan saves a lot of debt. So far, I'm happy I haven't had to use it, but if I have to use it, maybe it'll make me even happier.

I cancelled my Carchex warranty. I thought I didn't have a warranty and I needed a warranty for the vehicle that I had. I looked them up online and the ratings were good, so I decided to go with them. The process was good as well, but I didn't know the Pilot I bought last month had a warranty and I'm good for a year. I only had liability though. My Ford then got totaled and the guy didn't have insurance and ran way. I was out of luck.

I bought my truck secondhand from a dealership and when I bought it, the factory warranty was already out on it. I purchased a Carchex extended warranty. I had some issues with the truck and Carchex took care of it. Then, I started to have more issues with the truck and I bought one of those little code readers. When I hooked that up and got it online, it recommended Carchex for an extended warranty so I got them the second time. The dealership always handled contacting Carchex and taking care of everything for me and they had no trouble. Everything went right through and happened like it was supposed to.

When you buy your car straight out, there's no one out here that's gonna give you extra insurance for your vehicle warranty over 100,000 miles. I should have done some research. The way that the sales rep sold me on Carchex definitely sold me. He represented the company good. He explained the coverage but he told me that my first payment wasn’t coming out until the 27th of September. But they took $85 from me the day that I got the service on the 27th, and then they got me again for $166 and some change on the 2nd of September. I've been trying to call for somebody to call me back and they have yet to do that. They made my account overdrawn on my other bills. I was disappointed.
Once you get insurance through them, there shouldn't be any time frame on what to do with your vehicle if you're paying the money. They want you to have 1,000 miles within the first 30 days if something goes wrong. And then, if nothing don’t go wrong with your car within the first 30 days, you have to wait till 90 days to put in a complaint. Even though I don't have no complaint about my Benz that I had just bought, but still, anything could happen. But it's okay because if anything goes wrong right now, I'm good. I’m almost in New York City already.

I'm really big about having everything that I need and not worrying about something when something happens, so I like to handle stuff before something happens. I don't have hardly any miles on my Honda, but the manufacturer warranty was gonna expire. I have the non-powertrain, but I would lose the powertrain, so I wanted to make sure I had coverage on everything. Also, it's important to have an extended warranty because it can cover what other things don't cover. Even if you have something else, like how I have the non-powertrain, but I'm gonna lose the powertrain in November, then I'll have everything covered.
Carchex offers good customer service and affordable coverage. Purchasing was easy and they also offered the roadside assistance if it's a repair issue. I had them in the past for a short time on another vehicle that I had as well, but I dropped the extended warranty on it because of finances. I like them in particular though. They were a cool company.

By doing the research and looking at reviews, I found Carchex's rating with the Better Business Bureau. They had higher reviews as well and that helped with the decision to go with them. I'm a guy who just wants the facts and it was a good experience. It was straight to the point and there were as no hidden agendas on either myself or them. CARCHEX had good reviews online and when we talked with their rep, they were very knowledgeable and informative. The sign up process didn't take long and it was great. It seemed like the policy was fine, but when we got the full contract, there was some language in it that we thought would be too restrictive and that we didn't want to work with. We were concerned about claims and after reading through the fine print, it seemed like we can't prove anything if we put any claims in. It seemed like claims would be likely rejected based on whose definition of preexisting or what wear and tear could be defined as. It wasn't as clear-cut as we would have liked. So, we decided to cancel the warranty and right now, they’re asking for the information and just a little bit of reasoning. We got all that submitted, so it seems to be going well so far.

Extended warranty Bumper to bumper. Very happy I now have good peace of mind with my warranty. Hope I don’t need to use it but if I do I have great coverage. Seven years is a long time. I don’t put many miles on my car so I wasn’t sure if I needed to extend.

My car is a little over three years old, got 26,000 miles on it, and I'm planning on keeping it. Also, I'm older and I wanted something telling me that if something happens to me, my wife would have somewhere to get the car repaired if she still kept it. I was checking ConsumerAffairs and I was looking to buy a repair warranty. They put me in touch with CARCHEX and I decided to purchase the agreement after talking to their rep, Freddie, for a while. Their reps were very helpful during my sign up. I got the bumper-to-bumper coverage and I need 600 miles on the car to activate the warranty and something else. Other than that, when we got the papers in the mail, my wife’s name wasn't on there with mine. But the car is in her name also, so we wanted that on it. She called up today and supposedly it was all taken care of and they're gonna ship that out.

I was stolen from!!!! Zero Stars. So a bit better than a year ago. I bought a policy after buying a 2011 BMW 535i. It had 133000 miles on it roughly. Ran like a top. I don't drive it that often. In November after about 2751 miles of driving I heard a hell of a racket coming from under the hood. I had it towed to an ASE mechanic. He was busy so I told him when he got around to it to check it out I have a policy that will pay for the repairs. I have 4 other vehicles so it really wasn't pressing. It was discovered after a good while that a timing belt tensioner and timing chain needed to be replaced.
The mechanic made a claim on my behalf. After pics sent to Royal who handles the policy I bought apparently not from Carchex and an adjuster came to look at it he also concluded that it needed a timing belt tensioner and possible motor replacement. After about 2-3 weeks I received a call from a claim processor that the claim had been denied because they Royal/Carchex decided it was pre-existing. What does that mean...Everything on a vehicle that could break can be labeled preexisting. Immediately I filed for arbitration....Over a month goes by with nothing, no call, no letter, and after many calls from me I decided to just cancel the policy and get a refund. I figured at least I'd have enough money to try to fix the car, I paid in $2013.55 in a year almost to the date.
Today I receive a refund check of $807.49. Seriously you're going to keep a little over $1200.00 when you said the car had pre-existing conditions. How does that work? It's like stealing and honestly I'm more than pissed. This has been a horrendous experience and I have a bad taste in my mouth. You should do better Carchex and stand behind what you sell. You can bet I'll be calling them. I better get to bank in the morning before they cancel this check. I've been stolen from!!!!

According to our records, your coverage was purchased on 7/11/2019. A claim was called into the contract administrator on 10/21/2019 related to an internal engine failure. At this time, the contract had been active 72 days and 1751 miles driven after the standard 30 Day / 1000 mile waiting period.
CARCHEX was first contacted about this claim on 6/8/2020. When we reached out to the contract administrator, we were advised you, the customer, had already filed for Arbitration and the claim dispute would be handled through the Arbitration process outlined in the contract. Due to this, CARCHEX was unable to assist you with the claims dispute.
On 7/16/2020, CARCHEX received your request to cancel the coverage. As the retailer, CARCHEX must process the request in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. The refund was calculated based on the cancellation policy and pro-rated accordingly based on time/miles under coverage.

We looked into getting a warranty to cover stuff for a used car. CARCHEX gave us a 30-day money back guarantee in case we didn't want to keep it, so we went with them. But we eventually cancelled the warranty. We're not sure if were keeping the car or not so there wasn't any sense to have the warranty.

My Ford Raptor is a year and a half old. It has had five recalls, and three of those are not trivial. When purchasing vehicles, I extensively use Carbuyingtips.com and the tips on that site has always worked for me every time. They recommended Carchex as a Better Business Bureau frontrunner and, all around, it may be not the cheapest, but it's the best they could think of. The first rep I dealt with was somewhat responsive but lost contact with me. I don't carry a phone into my place of work and I don't use my work phone for calls other than work. So, I was trying to communicate with that person via email, and they dropped off.
I really wanted this coverage, so I wrote it down. I called them, and then the second person and I were able to communicate via email. It was successful, quick and professional. Because of my circumstance, this aftermarket warranty is very valuable to me. Typically, I don't like to spend my dollars with anybody, unless I'm buying something that I know is a throwaway item. A car's not a throwaway item to me, so I'm a little disappointed that I was not able to uncover these problems with the vehicle that I purchased before purchasing it. Otherwise, I'd rather buy a 20-year-old car that I know works every time versus a brand-new car that is gonna have five issues in one and a half years.

I was specifically getting an extended warranty because after 2010, the Porsche dealers don't do warranties. I had to do something like Carchex, which is cool. I looked online, and a lot of other things I looked in had a lot of holes in it. Coverage-wise, it seemed like this was reliable and they had good reviews too. The reps informed me well, and it seemed like they were aware of what was going on. My only issue was that there was piece of information that technically I could have either known before by doing the research or they could have said it before. They didn't tell me that the warranty wouldn't count until after a certain amount of mileage, till after I was completing the process. I got a Porsche Cayenne at one state and I'm driving it to another. It's very expensive.
I got a warranty immediately because I wanted the car to be covered. I ended up getting a new car and because I got my new car, I ended up getting the extended warranty on my old car. I did it with my other car, but I might have thought about things differently it in the beginning if I knew that the car wouldn't be covered for the first 1,000 miles. They didn't say that until I was paying and that was annoying because the whole reason why I got it was for that first car. I just spent $20,000 on a vehicle and it wasn't protecting me from what I immediately needed it for. At the end of the day though, it's gonna protect the car in the long term and that's cool. That's protecting them and I get that. It seemed logical to do it.

Purchase warranty for a Beetle, sold the Beetle and notify them to remove the Beetle and put a Mini Cooper. They did not replaced it, they did a new contract to get commission, and to add insult to injury, kept the Beetle contact in force, taking out of my bank account both. This was going on for 3 months, I finally called Paylink, the company they use to collect payments, to stop payments. Beware, their commission is more important to them than servicing their clients.

The time ran out on my vehicle's original warranty and I'm only at 45,000 miles so I needed something because most five-year-old trucks are already way over 100,000. I needed something to cover up to 100,000 miles or 85,000 miles. I looked up the top seven providers and Carchex looked like they had the best deal going. I talked to one representative when I initially called to get information on it. When we had decided, I called back and the rep wasn't in so I talked to the manager. He was very knowledgeable and he handled the rest of it. We did everything over the phone, I got approved, and they sent me the policy.

We paid our car off and we decided that it had no coverage at all. We've had to pay out for other cars. So, we figured to try Carchex. It was easy to purchase a protection plan from them. Their specialist was attentive and professional. It was a very simple sign up. But the credit card that I signed up with was hacked and I needed to change my card information 'cause the payment was not gonna go through. I've called them several times to tell them that. They said that there would be a long wait period. So I've left them messages but no one has called me back. Also, there's no way for me to access that information online. I've searched everywhere.

My manufacturer's warranty was about to run out and I still wanted to have coverage on my car in the event that something happens. I did some research and Carchex seemed to be the most cost-efficient one. Also, they cover the most as far as getting things fix. The purchase of the plan was pretty seamless. I must say that my experience with this company was not what I expected. After meeting eligibility based upon my contract/terms to have my vehicle repaired, I experienced a 2 week repair experience that had me rack up a $1300 car rental bill due to the Insurance Company that CarChex is in business with. This company (American Auto-Shield) short-change you on what you are paying for (ie. not approving labor/inspection for a repair). How can you expect a technician to assess a repair in 10-15 minutes? I had to basically advocate for myself in getting communication between my car dealership and the company by getting up at the crack of dawn everyday (mind you I have a job) and by the time communication was made, the payment to my dealership was declined 2X. That's right, my car dealership would not release my repaired vehicle to me because the form of payment was declined twice!
I am cancelling my plan effective immediately and warn you that my service tech at my dealership, said in all his years, he never dealt with a company like CARCHEX/American Auto Shield in how they conducted business. Buyer beware! Oh, and they have not heard the last of me, as I am taking legal action to recoup the cost of my rental that I had to have from July 15-Aug. 4th, 2020.

I have an older vehicle, a 2013 Lexus ES 300, and it's good to have an extended coverage so I looked into it. I looked at the companies and when I looked at the Better Business Bureau rating, Carchex had the highest so I decided to go with them. The rep I spoke with on the phone was the one who told me to look at the Better Business Bureau to make a decision, which very helpful. They are a little expensive but the process seemed to go very smoothly.

When I purchased my vehicle, it didn't come with any warranty because it was a rebuilt title. The only thing that was wrong with it was that it was parked outside of the dealership and it got hail damage. So all the damage was cosmetic and I wanted to look into what we could do. CARCHEX was able to help me out and it was great. Originally, I wanted to go with CarShield but when I called them, they didn't serve California. Not only did CARCHEX serve California, they were one of the top according to JD Power and Associates. I usually try to go off and select companies that win awards. Because I don't wanna go through that whole trial and error with the company. I know that they'll be reliable. Also, other people have had good experiences with them.
Signing up with CARCHEX was a pretty smooth process. Nick was really a great help. He explained everything in detail, what’s covered and what's not covered. He was able to offer me the coverage needed, which is bumper to bumper. I spend a lot of time with my car and I wanted to make sure I can have peace of mind that when anything goes wrong with it, the warranty would take care of it.

Since they are backed up by Carfax that gave me better telling that I will be taken care if I ever need them. Just purchased and waiting on my trial wait. I've had better experiences with CARCHEX than when I had CarShield. Sometimes there's a difference on the labor that we can resolve, but they have no problem in paying for OEM parts from a dealership or sometimes even a dealership based on the age of the car. Like if it’s an alternator, it won't be a brand new part. It’ll be a remanufactured, but it'll still be supplied by the dealer and they have no problem with paying for those type parts.

We have a 2018 Lincoln Continental and the existing coverage that we had from the dealership had expired. We were trying to compare different companies and the reviews for CARCHEX were good. We read people had a bigger issue with the 1,000 miles and the prices were comparable. The rep I talked to was nice but I didn't like that when you call in, they give you a price, and it's a haggling thing. If it's a product that's across the board, there should be a set price for that. But if you're face-to-face at a secondhand store type of thing or buying a car, that's different. So that sort of going back and forth was a little time-consuming. The rep would put me on hold, say that he'd talk to his manager, then he'd say that his manager was texting him. I just felt like it was a big sales ploy.

The reviews online were pretty good in terms of customer service and value. So based on that, I decided to place that phone call and start the process with CARCHEX. I was thinking to myself that I was going to go with them anyway but I wanted to get some more information first. Once I mentioned to the initial person that I spoke with that I wanted to take some time to think about it, he transferred me to his manager, and then his manager got on the line and was a little more sort of aggressive about closing the sale. I wanted to take a little more time to make my decision and the guy was really pressuring me to go ahead and sign up because he mentioned it was the end of the month. He was very direct about it, which I appreciated. But at the end of the day, the decision was mine to make, and I did. But other than that, it went fine.

The person who I received help from was very detailed, gave me really good information as far as if I didn't get CARCHEX, the out of pocket expenses that I would have, and just telling me why he thought it was a good idea. After researching that information, it was actually true. I felt that because he was honest with me and gave me accurate information, that made me want to use Carchex as my extended warranty. I know that once I am able to use it, it's gonna save me a lot of money so it will be worth the monthly payment that I'll have to pay, and then it'll be worth the deductible that I'll be paying. At the end, I will come out on top. So far, so good. I'm still within the 30 days and mileage before I can use it but I haven't had any problems.

I’ve had my truck for so long and I got another truck. Since I never had any major maintenance done on it, probably sooner or later there’s gonna be that major maintenance that I didn't really want to take care of because I didn't have to. I found everything online and Carchex was at the top of the list, so I called them. I was happy with what I heard because recently, I had USAA when I had my car and then, they transferred over to somebody else. It was hard for me to get ahold of the other people to see if they even passed that information over to my other truck.
The enrollment process with Carchex was very easy and something I liked were the discounts. I learned to see everything I was getting into. I had up to 30 days to cancel so, I’m waiting on my mother to send me the actual paperwork. I saw some of the stuff online but my mother is supposed to send me the paperwork since I live in Texas because I'm in the military. But my truck stays by her at her house and it's under shelter. She drives it maybe once every three weeks, just down the road and back.
The rep from Carchex explained everything as far as I’m supposed to know. He said that the engine, the transmission, the differential and small major parts are covered. So, I understood most of that but I’d rather read all the package information so I know what’s covered. Everything was explained fairly well to me but I wanna go for more detail. That'd be something more on my own that I should be dealing with. They covered the basic things that I knew and if my mother was to talk to him, she would understand everything that's going on and feel comfortable, which was the way I felt as well.

The purchasing process was pretty good and easy. Steven, the representative, was very helpful. It's just that I'm curious. I bought my warranty from CARCHEX, and I think they sell it to another warranty provider, so I don't know how that works. I hope that when or if something goes wrong eventually, I'm able to make the claim because sometimes I hear these horror stories of people not being able to make claims. I guess until that happens, I would know how good or bad it is.

A competitor was out of state and they recommended me to Carchex. Carchex is in California. The sales representative was pretty good, polite, and he gave a lot of informative information. There was just one thing I didn't understand. I knew about the 30 days before the start, but I did not know that I had to have both 30 days and 1,000 miles. They failed to mention that at first until the time I have paid. Making payment was easy. It was automatically coming out of my checking account. However, I would rather have it paper. My wife is my accountant and she wants to see it physically rather than taking it out and sending the payment in. But I guess that’s the only way that Carchex can do that. I was just trying to find out if they can just send the bill and I pay the bill.

I'm old school and I have insurance for everything. I find it to be beneficial rather than have to deplete $500 in one moment unexpectedly on a mechanic bill. I talked to another warranty company and was already thinking about singing, but I happened to talk to the Carchex rep next on the list. He said that I should check BBB out before going with anybody and what he told me was correct regarding the things that their competitors had in terms of complaints and some of the things that they did to persuade their customers to sign up.
Carchex has a good salesman and he says all the right things and doesn't pressure you. He was very thorough, professional, and laid back. I didn't like to be pushed and somewhat threatened which I got with some of their competitors. But at the end of the day, what really counts is service. I haven't used them yet but I'm satisfied as far as what I've experienced thus far. The Carchex rep just said that I would just take the vehicle in and they would call us and as long as we had done our due diligence and maintenance or kept the records and so forth, we would not have any issues. They would take care of it and I'd just cover the deductible.

I have a 2008 GMC Acadia. It had 167,000 when I bought it. Since I bought a car that was 12 years old, I thought that I should get an extended warranty for it. The consultants from Carchex were good. The policy would potentially cover everything that I might need. It was more of an exclusion policy than an inclusion policy and it was explained very well.

When I was online, I was looking for a legit extended warranty company where I could get my car fixed. So when I came across CARCHEX, I read up on them for a little bit. They seemed legit so I inquired about them and they gave me a policy. Purchasing it was a pretty smooth process. The guy who set up my policy for me was a nice guy. He wasn't problematic. He was very informative. He was telling me about different policies and stuff I could do as far as like what my options were.

CARCHEX was more reasonable and offered me more coverage than anybody else. Everything was great when I was signing up. The reps were easy to work with and they answered all my questions. It was a great pleasure to work with the rep I had.

I wanted an extended warranty but after paying for it had to cancel it for an emergency that was in my family. They refunded my payment right away. Getting the extended warranty was made so easy because of J **. He was wonderful to work with. I had an extended warranty before with Carchex. They were excellent in paying for a couple of repairs on my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe. And because I told my car dealer I had an oil leak, and they found a leaking gasket as well as a broken oil sending unit, I only had to pay the deductible once because they were both oil leaks. Afterwards they replaced my ABS brakes. The extended warranty saved me thousands of dollars.

After paying for 2 policy down payments an emergency came up in my family. I emailed Feguson to cancel my policies. He canceled. Then I asked about 6 or 7 days ago if he could refund my down payment. He never got back to me. Please return it to the debit card it was drawn on. Otherwise I will have no choice but to notify my bank.

I talked to CARCHEX's reps a couple of times when I was comparing programs. At first, the price they gave me was a fair amount more than what I was being given at the dealership. The reps then really came down on their price. They were among the best priced and they were tied with what I was offered at the dealership which was another warranty with an A-plus rating. They also had an AMAC recommendation which swayed things for me. The whom I worked with knew what he was talking about.

The agent at Carchex was great but I no longer want the policy and I can't get ahold of anybody to cancel it. They have put in fine print that they will not cover anything. So, I'm gonna pay for something that I won't be able to use. Once I got the contract and read it, I realized it sucks. It looks good when you're hearing about it but once you get in there and read the contract, it's worthless. People don't read the contract and don't understand. They pay for something but then their car doesn't break anyway, so they don't really need it. But once you get down where you need the coverage, you'll never cover anything because there's always a loophole to get out of it.
According to the contract, if a part fails and they can determine that that caused the other failure of a covered part, then the part that isn't covered voids the warranty for the part that is covered. Carchex won't cover pre-existing conditions. The vehicle has got 230,000 miles on the rig and it's gonna have pre-existing conditions. So, they will have everything on there. One of the stipulations says that if you don't maintain the vehicle, then it won't be covered. Another is if a mechanic recommends to get this fixed, they won't cover that either until the catastrophic failure happens.
Diesels are very well known for having a blow-by and the only way to fix a blow-by is to do piston rings and they won't cover piston rings. If I had a bad valve or bad piston ring, I have to pay for that and that's gonna be a $4,000 fix but they won't cover that. And if I don't pay for that, then a catastrophic thing happens, they won't cover that either. So, I don't want this policy. I don't know how Carchex is BBB rated and people saying they are great. It's a rip-off. I just want my money back, then I'm good.
I've called numerous times. I've been on hold for an hour and a half and no one would answer. I've emailed the guy that sold me the policy and I've called him with his extension number as well and left numerous voicemails, and he wouldn't get back to me. The only people that I can get ahold of is sales and they can't do anything. I'll try to get ahold of them again. I hope I get this policy cancelled. I've sent emails and I have proof that I'm trying to get it done before the 30 days. So I hope they don't fight with me about that.

The reviews about Carchex were good. The interactions with their reps were good as well. I thought Carchex did the insuring but they don't. They have a different company that does the insuring. I looked up that company and saw a lot of negative comments about them and I didn't like the reviews. So I sent Carchex a letter to cancel since they told me that I would have 30 days to cancel. I’m waiting right now to see if they will cancel it.

So far so good. Buy a vehicle. It has high miles on it but was willing to get some insurance on it just in case something happens. Hopefully nothing happens. But if it does I think this insurance will be good. Good day.

My current warranty will be expiring in November. I googled companies and looked at three. Then I saw was what was written up at the ConsumerAffairs and they suggested Carchex. Carchex sent me different policies to pick from and I just chose it. They responded very quickly and did a follow-up call on me because I got sidetracked and forgotten with work. I wanted a bumper-to-bumper so it was just reviewing what’s available. They gave me 30 days to review it. As a matter of fact, I’m still waiting for the final contract to come so I can review that. Having this protection plan is 100% valuable because I'm not a mechanic and I know nothing about cars.

I kept on getting notices and things like that about warranties. It was about to expire and it was a good thing that I saw it. So, I looked into it and decided to give it a try. I got Carchex and it said Gold. It doesn't state the individual things that you pay for that it doesn't cover. But it was contradicting after I read further. When I got the contract, I thought it covered everything in Gold such as electronics and computers. Then later on, it said that it was included or was bought. I didn't know you buy anything separate. But as far as signing up for it, it was good. I was satisfied.

I told my daughter I didn't know anybody that had a service contract. Since she had it, she had some issues with her vehicle and she took it in to get some repairs. When she did that, the customer service was just like the guys claimed to her on the phone and how she explained it to me. She went in and dropped the car off at the dealer. The dealer went through her car, they called her back like they said they would and gave her a rental car. It was no hassle. They told her how long it will take. It was done so smoothly. There were no hiccups, no wait or anything. I liked that kind of customer service and that was what made me say that I could do this with CARCHEX.
The representative explained everything to me. He called a guy in Maryland and the guy introduced himself to me. We talked a little bit and he was friendly. He asked me a couple of times. He didn’t do all the talking and he let me ask him questions. He wanted to see how I felt about how he explained it to me and I understood everything he was saying. He was a great, polite guy. Having this policy is very valuable. I haven't used it yet, but I think I’ll have the same experience my daughter had ‘cause I was with her. I’ve seen how it was and it was no problem.

They were able to include a rebuilt title clause for not too much more on the dollar amount. The package with the rebuilt title would still cover those certain things that I've had experiences with with previous cars and warranty companies. The person I was speaking with was Ryan. He was pretty patient and he wasn't trying to rush me into a sale so I appreciated that.

Carchex is putting out all the flashy ads but when it come to service, they don't deliver and the worse part is they like with American Auto Shield who pays for repairs, they never answer or help you out, so, this is fraud company, don't buy their policies, you're making a big mistake and you'll be sorry for yourself on the long run.

The warranty on the truck expired and I renewed it last month. If something goes wrong with the engine or transmission, I wouldn't be able to afford paying for it out of pocket, which is why it’s good to have this insurance. I made a claim to Carchex and they took care of business like they should. I bumped a pole and it messed up my bumper so I’ll put it in the shop next week.

I liked how I could pay a little bit a month with Carchex versus one all upfront. The sales guy I talked with was awesome and a cool guy. I liked him a lot. He explained all aspects of the coverage very well. Having this protection plan just for the peace of mind is worth it. So far, so good, but let's see them pay some money.

I requested a quote from CarChex for an extended warranty on a used Truck I had just purchased. The pricing came back much higher than a factory extended warranty. I explained this to the representative who explained how their company was better etc. I then told him I would stick with the factory warranty and to have a great day to which he then proceeded to hang up on me without a "goodbye" "Thanks for your time" etc. If that is how they treat potential customers I'd hate to see what they did once they have your money. Not to mention they apparently called me several times without leaving a message as to who was calling.

I am disappointed to learn that Carchex is not the policy provider. In the "fine Print" of my acknowledgement, I saw that the "Warranty Provider" is American Car Shield, Not Carchex. Carchex appears to be only a sales agent for American Car Shield which means that everything the sales person at Carchex told me may not be true or accurate. I don't believe that Carchex can speak for American Car Shield if I ever have to use the warranty. To make matter worst, there is a company named "Car Shield" that is also a seller only. Car Shield is not rated by BBB.

Your agent named Matt was very unprofessional and he rudely hung up on me! This took place around 1:30 pm today. Now in order to fully explain how all this took place would need more space to write. The agency never asked who I was, yet proceeded to say he would sent me my packet and call be back on Monday. Since he did not ask for any of my info, I began to question him about my info. After about 2 or 3 minutes of my saying that I felt he was being unprofessional, he hung up on me, but before hanging up he yelled, "You don't know nothing!!!"

I needed a warranty on my 2016 BMW and I was told by someone there that Carchex gives good warranties on BMWs. The rep was cool although he overcharged me. I should've been paying $50 less a month because the other people that have the same thing that I have pay $50 less but it’s alright.
