Getting a protection plan for my car is tremendously valuable to me. Initially, I was gonna get one with CARCHEX, then I decided not to get it. But then they lowered the price because I paid outright and I decided to go back with them. I also liked that they were accredited by the Better Business Bureau and they had an A+ rating. The guy I dealt with was fabulous but I still don't have a thorough breakdown of everything that's covered. If you go online and you research other companies, you could find that. But with theirs, you can't find it and that needs to be on the website.

I put in a claim just to have them deny it when I did EVERYTHING I was supposed to do and kept up with my car. But because it was “too expensive” they tried everything in their power to not fix my car. They are rude and I will NEVER do business with them again. I have a foreign car so if you have a foreign too they WON'T fix it. It’s too luxuary for this CHEAP company! Very sad! Even Audi couldn’t believe their actions!!! Very disappointed!

According to claims notes, your claim for an entire engine replacement was denied for lack of oil change maintenance records in accordance with the coverage terms.
Per the claims notes, a claim for an entire engine replacement was called in on 6/24/2019 totaling $17,909.55. This was 62 days from the purchase of your Centennial Silver level of coverage purchased 4/23/2019. The contract administrator sent a 3rd party inspector who verified an internal engine failure occurring with (3) cylinders misfiring. Additionally, the inspector verified an intermix issue where the coolant was mixing with the oil. The inspector advised additional tear down would be needed to determine the cause of failure.
At this time, the administrator requested all maintenance records including proper oil change records to verify the vehicle was properly being serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule. Several maintenance records were submitted however only (1) record was received for an oil change. The record submitted was not a valid record as the record was not from a licensed repair facility.
Based on a lack of proper maintenance records, the claim could not proceed. Additionally, the finance company for your coverage reported the coverage was cancelled for non-payment on 7/6/2019.

I bought a used truck and it's in great shape, but I wanted to protect my investment and getting a protection plan is a safety blanket. When I went shopping for plans, Carchex was the last one I called and the guy was more knowledgable than the other sales reps. He answered all my questions and gave me more information than what I was asking for. All in all, my experience with Carchex has been informative, quick, easy, and painless. I also like how they warranty the vehicle for more than the value. The other companies don’t do that, and they don’t tell you that too.

This warranty is a waste of money. I needed a drive axle replaced. The boots were not busted, but would not be replaced due to dealer price high cost of part. Wanted me to get part from Autozone. Have shop install part from them. No shop will work from parts house as them. Part was 499.00, I had 15,000 limit and Carchex wouldn't cover part and labor. I had to repair car myself. Keep service writers on phone 45min. Need coverage get from dealer new or do real searching for better. Odds are will not find good one. All warranty companies are similar. You would have to have service records very well kept, to get anything covered. It has taken me 2half yrs, to make sure they would be good.... they are not.

Carchex had better rating and I changed. I already paid them so much money, but I didn't mind. I don't have the engine because I know coverage doesn't have that. In two years, I haven't put 1,000 miles in the car. I don't drive much, but you'll never know. This is man-made. So for safety, I thought I'd take their coverage. But I don't know what they've offered to me. It's like I'm wasting money. Their rep said that they cover bumper-to-bumper or the engine, but I got confused because I was switching from one to another one. Then when he sent me the contract and I read it, I didn't really know what they cover exactly. It seems like there are a lot of things that they don't cover. But I appreciate that I received the contract already. I had been paying the other ones for six months and I never received anything. For now, Carchex seems to be a good company.

I bought a 21-year-old '98 Mustang convertible with over 50,000 miles on it. I wanted to make sure that I have it for a long time and that any of the mean things are covered. I went with CARCHEX and their rep Gerald worked his banana off to find me. We were going back-and-forth all day long about what I wanted, what he can offer, what was covered and what wasn’t covered. He really worked it hard to make sure I was happy when I was done.
Having an extended home warranty is paramount if you buy something that you like and wanna keep for a long time. I told Gerald that I might be buying an extended warranty for my new car that I have. But when I took the loan out, the bank kind of advised me not to. They said that when the car is up on its factory warranty, then I go buy the new warranty to make sure I'm covered. I go back and forth to Albany with that car. I live in Long Island and I go to Albany for work six months out of the year. So I’m gonna be putting a lot of miles on it. At some point, I am gonna want to protect it. I told Gerald that if I'm gonna get an extended warranty down the road, it's going to be with CARCHEX.

Everything was phenomenal with CARCHEX. They explained all the details as regards to what the product covered, the pricing, the affordability, and all that good stuff. They were able to cover everything with the exception of the emissions, but there's nothing you can do about that because it's an '08 vehicle. Other than that, I got a really good deal as regards the coverage, so I was very happy.

Everything was great.The first guy was phenomenal. He got his manager on the phone, and the manager was great also. They explained the warranty. However, I was the one who signed up and they had my son's name spelled wrong. Also, I wanted the Titanium plan but I had to fall down to the Deluxe because it was a buyback from the dealership. I haven't had to use the warranty but once you get into it, you would really find out the do's and the don'ts of it, when you need it. They're gonna tell you there's a fine print somewhere. But so far, I would recommend CARCHEX.

I’m a mechanic myself, and I was reading into CARCHEX's warranty. I noticed that a lot of stuff wouldn’t be covered. My car is manual transmission, and I have a lot of after-market parts in my car. Supposingly if I do the maintenance, I have to have receipts and stuff. So if I’m doing my own transmission flush, oil change, the differential fluid, I have no receipts for that. I didn’t want it to backfire, so I just cancelled it.
But the rep, Shawn, was great. He was cool. He helped me out and tried to convince me the most to keep it, telling me that I would be covered no matter what. But I’ve had people that had different types of extended warranties, who were always trying to like bounce them around to figure that they don’t cover certain things, and I didn’t wanna go through that.

CARCHEX gave a good pricing and I had a good experience in purchasing my protection plan. It was easy to get everything started. We purchased a vehicle in March or April, and we’re getting close to our 100,000 miles. Because it was used, they only guaranteed it up to a 100,000. The representatives answered all of my questions and they explained the warranty coverage well.

I can't live without a vehicle protection plan. I don’t like the surprises of repairs. I also like to have as much peace of mind as I can get. Getting a vehicle protection plan from CARCHEX was super easy. I like the fact that they can negotiate on your behalf and get you the best coverage. Moreover, they try to fit your budget. I found them online through my employer discount website. I submitted an online inquiry and the rep called me right back. My interaction with him was very positive. He was nice and helped me out a lot. Plus, he knew a lot. He knew about my car, the vents, and how much miles I had. He even helped me get a discount and got me on my way. My experience with CARCHEX was perfect.

I have been taken for a ride. I have been trying to cancel for a week. Every time I call I get sent to voicemaila after I've talked to a customer rep. I'm so annoyed right now. I've submitted a complaint to the BBB.

I had bought an extended care warranty with Toyota and my warranty expired. Two weeks later, I had a huge bill for something in my car and they didn't honor it. I read the reviews on Carchex and they were good, so I decided to buy another extended warranty with them. The experience was wonderful and very nice. They had very good PR and they tried to work with me and tried to get me the best deal. So I was satisfied. They also explained the benefits and how to file claims. It was very easy to understand. I started it on August 1st, so I had to start paying on it. And they give you 1,000 miles in 30 days before they kick in on their warranty.

Having an extended warranty is a safety part for the car when you buy the car. I believe that CARCHEX is a reliable site and signing up for it was easy. I did not purchase the extended warranty through CARCHEX. But then, what was stated on CARCHEX about the warranty was much helpful for me to select the warranty part as far as the cost or other options are concerned. But my old car report was not perfect. If you look at my car repairs, it was mentioned that the accident was on the front. Whereas I didn't have any accidents on the front, it was on the right side.

We're traveling and we're gonna be doing lots of going across country. Our son had a van that he took really good care of so we bought that from him. It has 90,000 something miles on it and we're gonna be putting several thousand on it really quickly. We wanted to be sure while we're making these long trips, so we needed an extended coverage. We've used another company years ago on a minivan that we bought that didn't have a new warranty on it. It had been wrecked and was rebuilt, and so we bought the warranty on it. We had really good coverage with that company when we used them and so it paid off what we spent. We got CARCHEX on our van now and the purchase experience was good. However, the salesman was a little bit pushy and I had a really short time to give him an answer. I didn't like that, but I like the coverage and everything else. So, I overlooked that and hadn't meet with them. But overall, I'd recommend CARCHEX.

The review is not indicative of how I feel about the warranty service Carchex provides, rather it will address my on-boarding process. My rep is Dan. Dan didn’t sell me the warranty, but he illuminated the value of the warranty. I believe his thorough when explaining the warranty; his patience when answering questions; especially his honest when addressing difficult (i.e. negative reviews) topics. I am in my Waiting Period; so I may be able to attest to the value of the warranty should I need to use it. Thus, all I can do now is hope Dan/Carchex will come through for me in my time of need. I was buying a used vehicle so a warranty seems appropriate. I was ready to pay for the another company and I said no ‘cause they had some suggestive advertising which was unable to be met in reality. And the Carchex people provided more coverage. Their rep assisted me thoroughly and it was a good experience. Also, their coverage is easy to understand. I got their coverage a month ago and they were twice the price of everybody else, but I was very satisfied with them. They've all been great.

This has been a joke for every claim. My CARCHEX rep tells me it's covered but Royal Admin where you have to run the claim though has denied several different claims already. Working on one now that they had me submit a new claim for something I already had a claim on? Claim **. They seem to just be trying to run me in circles to tire me out and my preferred mechanic already said they are going to get themselves removed from this Carchex preferred mechanics list as they have never had so many problems with a warranty company before. I have been going at this for months. About ready to throw in the towel and say screw it, cancel this warranty. It is not worth my sanity.

I was not happy with a decision that I made concerning an extended service contract. I spoke with Drew and he got my cancellation process started. I am hoping that this will be a painless process? I will update how this cancellation process was handled after its completion!

I have a 2014 RAM 2500, 6.4L, 4x4, Auto Transmission, V8 (105k miles) with all dealership maintenance records. The plan I received is decent (Deluxe Coverage through American Auto Shield, LLC). I reviewed my policy and it didn't include the Market Labor Rate and Emissions. So if I ever had any mechanical issues, I will have to pay an extra $40 an hour on labor rates. The plan only covers up to $100 and the dealer charges $140. On top of that, I am not interested in a $100 deductible (I prefer $50). On top of that, I put $500 down just to receive all the details (fully refundable). Decent plan for $3,560 (100K/5 yr) but just shy of a peace of mind. I have reviewed all the documents and will exercise the cancellation policy. Like I said, it was a decent policy but just short of what I was looking for. Thanks though.

Mr. Eric ** reassured me that I could indeed get my elderly car covered by a CARCHEX Warranty. I am as elderly as my car, so I needed assistance in understanding the contract. Mr. ** was both professional and patient. He answered all my questions and made me feel completely comfortable with this purchase. And the Agent who continued the purchase process was also very helpful and professional. He helped me get the payment arrangements that I could afford! As a pensioner, that was as big a worry as being able to get coverage! My contract arrived in the mail just as they said it would. Car maintenance is a big concern for Seniors. We want to keep driving, but often we can't afford the gas and maintenance of a vehicle. When something breaks, it often stops our activity independence. I have a pre-owned vehicle which already has an extended coverage and I’ve been happy with it. Then I got a mailer from CARCHEX that said my coverage was expiring soon and to buy some more. I called the number on the mailer and spoke with somebody. I asked if I already had a policy with them and he informed me that I did not. Then he told me what was covered, which was basically everything except routine maintenance, windshield, tires and paint. I asked him how much money it would cost and he told me it would be $180 a month over 18 months.
I opted for that and I bought that a couple of days later once I wrote it down on my budget spreadsheet. My interaction with him was good. He answered all my questions and I was happy with the experience. I think of the coverage like insurance and it's pretty important. I live in North Texas so my computer system’s gonna get fried every couple of years from the sun. Replacing that costs more than 3,000 bucks so the plan would have paid for itself.

Purchasing from CARCHEX wasn't very difficult at all. Plus, their rep was good and knowledgeable. However, I never got the policy until after the purchase was made. I have 30-days to decide whether I wanna keep it or not, but there was a lot of loopholes that weren’t explained. Also, the pamphlets are still foggy about some terms and conditions.

When I found out that the warranty that I originally had for the truck had expired, I wanted to find a good company to have. CARCHEX had the best rating as far as the Better Business Bureau. The salesperson was very on top of things with my concerns. I would like to have the confidence knowing that if something happens, I have someone there to support me going at that time. Plus, talking to people I know, they’ve had a lot of problems with other companies. They purchased a warranty and when something happens, the other companies decide to turn down the claim. That has happened with companies like CarShield and Endurance.

I brought a Warranty for my 2018 Grand Cherokee Jeep. It covers everything that the Dealers don't. Only thing dealers give is basic Warranty that covers the transmission. No electrical parts, air condition. The warranty I have covers everything and I only pay $100 dollars each time I go to the dealership.

I appreciate all that Carchex and AAS has done to resolve this claim. The engine came in this week and the dealership is currently working on the car. The process is going very smoothly and hope to get the vehicle back soon. I can't thank everyone involved enough for this to happen. I purchased the vehicle 6 months ago and was afraid of the worst outcome. I truly thank you for everything!

Keep your money, the Dealer has had my car for over a month, every time I call Carchex, it seems as though they do no want to help you, very sarcastic, gives you bare minimum information. This entire process has been a nightmare from Day 1, I have to call repeatedly at least everyday or every other day in order to get any answers when I should not have to deal with the ext warranty company. Only the dealer should be dealing with them.
They have sent 3 inspectors out trying to decide if they want to pay for a new engine. I have called, begged and pleaded to fix the vehicle as I have been driving rentals car. I cannot seem to get reimbursed for the tow bill or the rental which it states in my contract I am to be reimbursed for both. I am beyond furious with this company and about to let the car go back to the finance company and take the loss on my credit as this has been a pain dealing with them since day 1 and there is NO EXCUSE for it. Extremely disappointed. Just got off the phone with an adjuster and they stated they would not be paying for a new engine due to a faulty thermostat.

I’ve had to replace myself two transmissions and an engine for my vehicle over the years. I thought that I should have insurance for it which I could pay upfront and the repair would be covered when the time comes. Signing up for service with CARCHEX was very simple. I put in my name, contact information on a website, and I got a call from a salesperson or agent within 24 hours. He explained the coverage to me and he was very upfront that there was nothing hidden about the cost. Thereafter, we played phone tag for a bit but that was as difficult as it got.

I have an older expensive vehicle so I wanted to make sure I had coverage. A warranty is very important and I spent almost $9,000 to cover two vehicles. Carchex covered everything and my experience in purchasing the warranty was wonderful. I spoke to four reps altogether and they all were phenomenal. They explained to me what was covered and the things that were not covered like normal wear and tear. As long as that's the case then I'm extremely happy.

I need work done on my car that I bought used. It needs an alternator, power steering pump, starter and an intake gasket and they say I am only covered for $128 of the labor and I am still paying my deductible of $100. They won't cover the power steering pump, and the rest is on me. WTF! I have never had a worse warranty than this. I have had extended warranties before and they have been great. If the motor blows up they'll put another one in but if something small breaks I'm up a creek without a paddle. Wonderful. People on the phone are even rude and condescending when you ask why something isn't covered. Can't get a straight answer and having the person talking to the shop call you is a joke. NEVER will I ever purchase something from this company again.

Renewing my policy with CARCHEX was very easy. Their reps were fine. I got all the prices this time also. But because I was coming back, they were able to take care of it a little better. With my previous warranty with them, I had a couple of issues and it was close to the end of the timeframe, but they took care of it with absolutely no issues. And I don't see any problem at all with asking anybody else to purchase CARCHEX.

I been dealing with customer service, adjuster, and management over the course of 24 days. My truck has been in the shop for almost a month, they finally approved for a transmission to be replaced. I am still waiting as they don't have a clue as to when it's being delivered. The ETA was last Friday, a week later after numerous phone calls and being on hold for over an hour each time you call there still is no answer, my repair facility also called in but can't wait on hold for an hour for answers. So here we are no truck for another week going into 1 month, no answer, no follow up call backs. Stay away from this company. They promise you everything at the start of sign up.

I had an older vehicle and I was a little skeptical because I didn't know if a warranty was gonna be available for that. It has a little bit more high mileage, so I don't know if anything will start breaking down. I wanted to make sure that I was covered. I researched on my own, trying to see what was right. I established my coverage with Endurance and I had my mechanic read over the Endurance contract. He had some questions and I asked them. I wasn’t really feeling comfortable with Endurance so I contacted Carchex. I had questions because I had already talked to my mechanic about the Endurance policy and I felt comfortable about the way Carchex explained all aspects of the warranty to me.
Carchex was not my first choice but I've had an excellent experience with them. It would be something really good to try as an extended warranty. There were other things I like because there was a company that I heard advertised on CNN. I called and the person really wasn’t clear with speaking. It sounded like he was speaking on a cellphone from a far, far place away, and it wasn’t clear and crisp. I was asking him questions and he couldn’t hear me. I couldn’t really hear him. So I thought I don’t want that type of warranty. With Endurance, I must have talked to person A, person B, person C, and person D verifying that I talked to person A, B and C. So, I wasn’t happy with that. And it especially got ugly when I called and cancelled.

I shopped around and CARCHEX offered pretty much the best deal. I also liked their explanation of the services, so I went with them. During my purchase, the rep I talked to seemed to be pretty knowledgeable of the product and overall, my purchasing experience went well. So far, I spoke with three different people and the last person was the manager of the two other gentlemen that I first spoke with. He answered the questions that I had about what was covered in my policy. I was initially told that the service I asked about was covered under the plan I’m on, but then it was not. So, the manager called and stated that they would have to honor what I had asked because I was told that it was included. So, I’m hoping that it was included.

I bought an extended warranty so we have 5000 miles. It is a complete scam. I had one problem with my Brake light. I ended up having to fix it. It cost me $500. I had another problem with my thermostat which is in internally lubricated port. It’s located inside your cylinder head and your engine. It cost me $2000. I paid $7000 for the extended warranty new CarChex. This was a complete rip off. I will never buy another extended warranty again. Save your money and you’ll come out ahead. Don’t buy warranty.

Based on the claims notes from your contract administrator, the Gold Deluxe plan does not list the 3rd brake light, thermostat, or thermostat housing for coverage.

I got CARCHEX coverage on one of my cars and my experience buying it was very good. The young man that helped me walked me through what I wanted to have covered on the vehicle. Also, any time I had a problem with anything, I could call him directly and he would look it for me to make sure that they were doing what needed to be done with the coverage that I was paying for. Another company called me and reached out to me about a warranty, and offered me a price, so I got online and googled the best extended warranty companies. CARCHEX was like number two. I clicked on there. They gave me a rate that was $100 some cheaper than what the other company was offering me. So, I just went for it and didn't look any further. The CARCHEX rep was quick and awesome. I was off the phone quickly and satisfied. I just got the little packet in the mail yesterday, too.

I got another extended auto warranty but then I was looking at it and didn't see any reviews about it. I looked at the reviews about CARCHEX and saw that it was better and everybody knew about it. I changed to CARCHEX but then what their reps said to me is different from what is on paper. In the beginning, when they were talking to me on the phone, they said everything was covered and told me about the pieces they cover. However, they then told me afterwards that the person who is gonna fix the car is overcharging me and that they're not gonna authorize the fix. I don't wanna spend the money on a warranty for nothing so I cancelled the warranty a few days after I got it. Still, I'd recommend CARCHEX.

CARCHEX customer service representatives are only out to get your money. Yes they are nice and friendly over the phone. Once you purchase an extended warranty from these cons you're going to regret it, once you find out that Royal Administration is the ones you have to deal with. You make your monthly payments but when you need to file a claim they deny you. Please it's nothing like what they are telling you. You have to wait days for an adjuster to come out and inspect your vehicle, you can only get a rental car if your claim is approved and you have to show 12 months maintenance reports on vehicle only so they can find a reason to deny you. I have been paying them for the last 18 months only to just be out of a vehicle and not feel protected now that I'm out of a car. It's a scam. Please look for a more reliable extended warranty. I'm hurt and feel use by this company.

Difficult to know. Have not received my contract to review. It has been 19 days since I signed on. Money taken out but no further information. Maybe 1st company I should had stayed with. I received full contract on line within 5 days.

I liked the way that Anthony, the rep from CARCHEX, presented the plan. He was great and the price was good. Then I kinda talked to some other people that have it and they told me that CARCHEX was pretty good. So, I went with them and on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give my experience a 10. Anthony was very informational, explained things in detail, and told to me what I needed to do if I had to take my car into a shop. He was very friendly, too. He even gave me his card and his extension number, so if I had any issues, I could call him. Other than that, I’m looking forward to add my wife’s car in the plan and when I do get to that point, hopefully, CARCHEX will hold up to their word. I’d recommend them to anybody.

On the other hand, CARCHEX was okay with consumer reports and the Better Business Bureau too. I went with them as they seemed to have the warranty I needed. A warranty is 100% valuable because things are pretty high nowadays. I have a Mercedes so that stuff is pretty high when you try to get it fixed. I needed to get something because the extended warranty that I had bought from them ran out in November. I had a couple of cousins that referred me to Carchex 'cause they have it. I talked to Alex and he was real nice. He explained everything and answered all my questions. He gave me a lot of information that I needed to know before I purchased it. It’s a little bit more expensive to do some things on my car with it being a hybrid so I thought it would be safer to get a warranty than not. The car was out of warranty when I got it, but I had a couple of other phone calls from extended warranty companies and they were like 300 - 400 a month. I went with Carchex and there wasn’t any pressure. I asked the rep the first time he called to call me back since I went straight to work after I got off my 9 to 5 job. I couldn’t really talk then I started having phone issues. He was nice and he understood. Having a warranty, there are no anxieties that you get when you hear something is wrong with your car like what will it cost. I know what it’s gonna cost me so that’s the good part about it. I would have liked to have the hybrid battery covered. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to do that but everything else was covered.

My car is in good shape and I wanna keep it that way. I signed up with a warranty provider but a CARCHEX rep pointed out a few things about that company that I wasn't aware of. Although he knew what he was talking about, he was a little bit persistent and I felt a bit pushed. It also seemed like they weren't gonna take no for an answer and for me, it was a little bit too much. But when I did my own research and realized that the other company was not in the best financial health and not paying their claims, I thought the CARCHEX rep was right. I canceled my coverage with the other company and signed up with CARCHEX. Although they are a bit more expensive, I would rather pay a little bit more and know I was gonna get my money if something did happen and not have to fight for it.
I like the fact that the reps were very thorough and they asked all the right questions. I also told them I was a Lyft driver and it was important for me to be covered and be able to keep my car on the road if something happens. For me, having the insurance is very valuable because if I have something major and need to take my car off the road, not only could I not earn income, I would have to come up with the money to fix it.

My factory coverage ended and I just finished paying for the vehicle so I figured I could afford to go ahead and pay for an extra coverage. Carchex claimed to have the best plan from the research that I did so I went with them. Purchasing the coverage wasn’t that bad but I had to get them to email me a lot of stuff so I could look at the plan side-by-side to compare it. If it was up to me, I could go on the website and look at everything side-by-side and what the price is, but it wasn’t as simple as that. Also, the lady was a typical salesman and I don’t like sales. I like to just see what my options are and make my own decision.

I did Carchex to find out all the information I could about my son’s car and I found out a bunch of information that even my son didn't know. I’m getting a new engine in it and I keep getting all these little cards in the mail saying his insurance had lapsed. But he didn't hear anything about all these companies that were sending me all this information. When I read it, it sounded like he had the extended warranty, but the one that was supposed to have the extended warranty on it, when I went to file for it, they informed me that it had lapsed. According to my son, it hadn't lapsed, but I wasn’t going to argue with them.
I went with Carchex because I heard they are good people. They're trustworthy. Plus, I knew I was talking to a real place because they're with Carfax and Carfax wouldn’t let a crook come in with them. Everything went great when I bought the warranty from Carchex. The reps were nice and laughed at every stupid joke I said. I wish I had gotten Carchex sooner. That way, they would have helped me cover the replacement of the engine.

The customer service was great at CARCHEX when I purchased my warranty and Bill, the guy I dealt with, was fabulous. He had excellent follow-through, and he was very polite and efficient. He was just wonderful, which was why I went with CARCHEX. He explained the warranty and we started off with one. Then, he said I could get a bundle. Everything was good with him and I have recommended CARCHEX.

Denied my claim after supplying TONS of documents and waiting TWO WEEKS without a vehicle. Will NOT pay for diagnostics as REQUIRED per the contract NOR will they pay for my rental, which is also apart of the contract. I contacted a manager at Carchex, Jason, and have yet to receive a response regarding this.

After careful review of all of your documents, the contract administrator determined the vehicle had been driven 72 miles between the purchase of the warranty and the claim being called in. This caused your claim to be denied for pre-existing issue due to the failure occurring during the validation period. CARCHEX offered to assist you with future payments to the finance company but this offer was turned down.

The factory warranty on our vehicle was going to expire. We had done some research on what was an extended warranty with the manufacturer and it sounded like Carchex was actually as good or better than the factory warranty. Singing up with Carchex was very simple. They walked me through a couple of the options in terms of payment time, months, years, mileage, etc. When I asked a very specific question about electronics if those were covered, they pointed me to the agreement online so I could actually read it and say it really is covered. They were pretty thorough in making sure that before I signed anything, I had as much information as possible to be able to make a decision. The rep was very good on all accounts.

I take excellent care of my car, and I didn’t plan on trading it in. I was gonna keep the car. It’s a 2008 and I bought it in 2009. And so I didn’t wanna be without a warranty. I did my research, checked around with other extended warranty companies. And I went with CARCHEX because, initially, the person I got on the phone explained the warranty a lot better. I’ve been with CARCHEX long before. And I haven’t even used the warranty, but that’s a good thing. That means the car is in good shape. I just renewed and this is the third contract with them.
On my first year with CARCHEX, my dealer was able to get my car at a better situation. So I didn’t go through the CARCHEX warranty. I take my car only to the Lexus dealership. And so they were able to take care of my issue several years ago. CARCHEX makes things easy for my dealership and I like that because I’m busy.
Also, just before this last one expired, I had the car for service and it was just the undercover. I checked with CARCHEX and they said the part wouldn’t be covered because it was just normal wear and tear. Even when if it’s something that wasn’t covered by the plan, I didn’t got a, “No.” I got a explanation of, “Hey, this is not covered because it’s a normal wear and tear. It’s not a maintenance-type issue or a mechanical malfunction of the car.” She was able to go that extra mile to help me and she was even able to tell me about what it would cost to get it repaired and so forth. And so that was what I liked about them in that situation.
I went with CARCHEX just for peace of mind. When it was expiring last time, I thought they would let me know with a reminder or an email, and they didn’t. Fortunately, I remembered and I called them and their guy said, “Yeah, you’re still under warranty. It will be expiring soon.” I got a great person on the phone when I called the number. I call him CARCHEX guy. I have his number written down in a folder at home, and he's been really helpful. I’ve already recommended CARCHEX.

I had bought an extended warranty when I purchased the vehicle, and it got to the 60,000 mile mark, and that was the end of that warranty. And I wanted to make sure I still had something. CARCHEX was one of the first ones to contact me after an internet inquiry and I signed up less than a month ago. I went in for a regular maintenance and started talking to another customer in the waiting area, and he said, "You know, you can get a better deal through the dealership, see what they have to offer."
I reached out to CARCHEX because the dealership offered me a wider range of coverage for less than half of what CARCHEX is charging. And it's been over a week since I sent the message out. They haven't acknowledged an email for cancellation. CARCHEX should be more concerned with the rates. And because of the large disparity in what's available, it almost feels like price gouging, and a lot of times women get shafted on that. Also, since the sign-up, I heard nothing. So, that doesn't do good for customer service.

I had recently bought a vehicle and there was no warranty on it. Having a warranty would help me a lot in repairs on my vehicle. I live on disability and for me to get something repaired, it would take me months of trying to save money to get it done. Whereas if something happens to my truck, the warranty can cover it and I don't have to worry about it. I went with Carchex because they have a big business and their rates were acceptable to my income. The person I spoke to when I was purchasing the warranty was very courteous and knowledgeable. They were talking to me nicely. Whereas the man from another group I was considering purchasing a warranty from before I signed on Carchex sounded really forceful and it stressed me out. I couldn’t deal with that. It’s like he was trying to pressure me so I didn't take on that company. I took on Carchex because the person I spoke to was very considerate. They took their time and explained things to me.
I was thoroughly assisted, but I didn't get any paperwork. They could sit there and talk to me and tell me over the phone all the things they cover, but then, it covers so much that when I hung up, I kinda forgot what was told to me. I would have loved to receive paperwork to explain in detail everything that they cover. The only thing I received was a copy of the contract, but I need more clarification. I’m having trouble getting ahold of anybody because I wanna know if they cover tune-ups. I’ve been trying all day yesterday to get ahold of somebody, and I couldn’t. I did get through one time but the woman’s voice on the other end of the line was so low that I could barely hear her. I asked her to speak up a couple of times and she just put me on hold again. It went to a voicemail so I was really frustrated. Except for that phone call yesterday, my experience with Carchex was good.

I am a returning customer to CARCHEX because they know how to take care of their customers, they say what they say they are going to do, and they do it for the right price. I had an extended coverage on my wife's vehicle and when I purchased a car several months ago, I decided to get an extended warranty on that one also. But I didn't really like the one that was on my wife’s vehicle, so I looked on the internet for another company. I saw CARCHEX and signing up with them was very easy. That was done right over the telephone. I also did an email online to inquire and I made calls. The rep I talked to was very friendly and explained all the answers to the questions I had. Having the protection plan is good and I feel more comfortable having it. In case something major happens, the expense would not be out of pocket.

I had to cancel my warranty with CARCHEX because what's covered and what's not were not what we thought they were. We thought it would cover more. When we started reading the papers they sent us, it seemed like every time that they said something was covered, then there was a way to get around that. It seemed like they had a loophole for everything. For a new car, CARCHEX would be great. But I have a ’94. It's not so great for an older vehicle.

I just read a review about they must be paid off commission. I believe so because I was on the phone yesterday 7/13 with an agent and kept asking was I purchasing a policy today. He also stated he missed 4 calls talking to me and if I needed any more information he needed to know if I was going through with policy today red flag number 1. Number 2 I read a lot good and negative reviews and a lot of their customer state that sometimes you have to pay for a break down of a part. Now let me get this correct I'm paying for a warranty incase my engine goes so I won't have to pay out outrageous money bad but 1st I have pay thousands of dollars to see if the engine is bad because of the previous owner. If I had thousands of dollars upfront to pay for this I wouldn't need you guys.
The last red flag I just wanted to see if people are lying about the long wait times to file a claim. I call 3 times to sales. Got right through. Call claims. Never talk to no one. I don't have to policy so I can't speak bad about the company. I honestly don't know what to do at this point. I don't want to purchase from them. Any other company and they swindle me.

I got a luxury car and I've never had a warranty before. I've heard horror stories from people like if something breaks, how expensive it could be and everything else. A warranty is valuable if something happens. I was a little hesitant and I didn't buy an extended warranty at the dealership because I feel like they just screw you, but I didn't get that sense from Carchex. The person I talked to was really friendly. He did a good job selling. He told me benefits that I didn't know existed. It was the first place I called and I didn't even call anywhere else. That's how good he did. I looked in the internet at a few different places and I had a couple I was gonna call, but after I talked to Carchex, I didn't end up calling any of the other places, even though I had planned to.
The overall process of getting the warranty from Carchex was extremely easy. It's like the easiest thing that I probably have ever done. I thought it was gonna be a lot more painful than that. I really did also like the fact that I could pick the day of the month that I wanted my payments to be due so I thought that was very helpful. Everything went fine with Carchex. They're very easy to talk to and they made me feel good about the purchase I made.

CARCHEX is great. I purchased their warranty for a used vehicle and I had a good experience. But they should tell you it’s taking effect in 30 days and how many miles you have to be. Other than that, they were thorough with the forms and they helped and worked with me. They also told me that if something goes wrong, I should go to a certified place where the car needs to be fixed and the place would contact them.

Tried three times to get work done on my car but CARCHEX never gave service department authorization. Complete waste of $2500 dollars. Will never ever repeat this disaster! Will never ever repeat this again. Will never ever ever repeat this disaster again.

On 1/22/2018, a claim was started however the repair shop disconnected before speaking with the adjuster. The contract administrator was never provided any part numbers or details regarding your claim. THis claim was administratively closed with no further contact with your repair shop.
On 6/21/2018, a second claim was called in for concerns related to your AC system. Later that day, your repair shop advised the vehicle was taken out of the shop and that they would call back in when you returned with the vehicle to continue with the claim. The claim was again administratively closed.

The only downside to this product so far is the 30 day wait after your first payment before it kicks in. God forbid anything would happen but if it does you are not covered. You have to wait 30 after your first payment. I would give it 5⭐ if that was different.

A woman from CARCHEX called and asked me how many miles I had on my car. It's a used one and when I got it, it had 43,000 miles. Then she asked me if I wanted to continue with the warranty and I said, “Yes.” Setting it up was easy and took just a few minutes. The professionalism and the quality of service by their reps were good.

I have had three situations which I put in claims on with my covered vehicle. The first one was with my audio system because my vehicle is a high end vehicle being a Audi A8L I take it to an authorized Audi dealership. The vehicle stayed in the shop for 3 weeks while Carchex decided whether to pay for the repairs which they ranged with the price of repairs with the cost of repair minus testing to find out what to repair. This is totally a farce. How would the shop know what to repair unless they test first which I have to pay for.
Needless to say that repair to my audio system did not get done. They just let me skip a payment. Which brings me to my next claim. This one was on Coolant system which gave my vehicle an error code which turned out to be the thermostat which they paid for but not the testing or fluids to refill the radiator which is ludicrous if you take out the part you are going to lose the coolant. Then came my suspension system. The air suspension is the standard on my vehicle which cost more than regular struts. Again they ranged with the quoted repairs even sending a adjuster to the repair shop for first hand knowledge.
My vehicle has been in the shop for over a week waiting on Royal insurers to make up their minds on what to pay. Let me also say that for each of my claims I paid a substantial amount of money out of pocket. Needless to say I’m totally disappointed in this policy and if I had known what I know now would have never brought it and would not recommend it to a soul. Oh and they talk so nice over the phone pure garbage.

A second claim was called in 7/1/2019 and required an inspection to verify the failure. The inspector verified the failure on 7/3/2019. Due to the July 4th holiday, the report was submitted Friday 7/5/2019. The claim was not approved until Monday 7/8/2019 and paid 7/9/2019.
We will be addressing your concerns with the contract administrator on why the claim was not approved 7/5/2019 causing a 1 day delay.

With my warranty expired, I went to CARCHEX to purchase a plan considering their price. And it was a good experience. However, when I checked their reviews, I read horrible ones about the actual service if you ever had to use CARCHEX. So, I sent their guy an email asking him about that. Why were there so many people that are having problems with using the service once they get it. I never got a response. Even though the customer service for the sales side is really good, it’s their product that you buy. And I’m not clamoring for the opportunity to send somebody money for nothing. Hopefully, I won’t have the nightmares that I’ve read about.

I had a previous Titanium extended warranty with Carchex and they denied repairs, stating the car had exceeded the mileage for the plan. They then offered me another plan and transferred me to a representative to issue another warranty. Months later they refuse to repair vehicle stating the repairs are pre-existing. They have collected 4 premiums and refuse to refund.
Thank you for your review. We understand it can be frustrating having a claim denied. However, your claim was denied because the administrator received a repair invoice from your shop dated 3/13/2019 (same day you purchased the new coverage) that showed the same repairs were needed as the recent denied claim. The repairs were not completed on 3/13/19. This made the repairs pre-existing to the purchase of the new plan.
Despite the claim being denied in accordance with the terms and conditions in your contract, our Customer Loyalty Department offered to assist you with these repairs by making several payments to the finance company on your behalf as a courtesy for being a loyal CARCHEX customer. This offer was turned down and you requested to cancel the new coverage.
Based on your review, we have reviewed your calls with our staff and the claims details from the administrator. We will summarize your purchases and claims and explain why there is no refund due on either of the policies. If you have any questions about this, please give us a call.
According to our records, you purchased your first policy through CARCHEX on 6/4/2018. The coverage was our Titanium level coverage with 2 years and 25,000 miles of coverage. The coverage was purchased with 103,244 miles and expired at 128,244 miles on the odometer. This coverage was cancelled 3/13/2019 due to expiration on miles with 143138 miles on the vehicle. According to the claims notes, your repair shop contacted the contract administrator to start a 4th claim on 3/13/2019. Based on the mileage called in, the administrator advised your coverage was expired due to mileage.
The administrator for this policy approved (3) claims totaling $3123.58. You paid in $1783.99 of the total cost of this coverage prior to cancellation. Due to claims paid exceeding what was paid in, there was no refund due on this coverage. The administrator referred you back to CARCHEX to cancel you plan and stop payments.
On 3/13/2019, CARCHEX received your call regarding cancellation. The old plan was cancelled at your request and you were transferred to our Vehicle Protection Specialists for a quote on a new plan. At this time, a 2nd policy was purchased with 2 years and 36000 mile of coverage. The mileage on the odometer was 143,138 miles at the time of purchase.
We reviewed your calls with our vehicle protection staff and there was no mention of any current issues with the vehicle. Our vehicle protection specialist properly summarized the new purchase including the new administrator, new term, and expiration of the new policy. Our representative advised you we do not cover Pre-Existing issues and went over the cancellation policy which includes a 30 day money back guarantee followed by a pro-rated refund due after 30 days.
On 6/14/2019, your repair shop called in a claim on the new policy. The administrator requested maintenance records and received an invoice dated 3/13/2019. On this invoice, the repair shop diagnosed the same issues called in on your original policy on 3/13/2019 and the new coverage plan on 6/14/2019. The work was not completed on 3/13/2019 which is why the claim was denied on your new plan.
On 6/28/2019, our Customer Loyalty Department emailed you the instructions to properly cancel the coverage. At this time, we have not received your written request. Upon receipt of your cancellation request, we will process the cancellation in accordance with the terms of the contract and calculate your pro-rated refund. If you would prefer to keep the coverage and accept our offer to make several payments, please give us a call at (877)227-2439 Ext. 6001.

We’re reaching the 60,000-mile mark on my last Kia Vehicle and we anticipate keeping the vehicle for several more years. Even though we’ve had zero trouble with it, I’d rather put up a couple thousand dollars early than get a surprise down the road. I've used CARCHEX in the past, and they were solid, so I came back to them. If you just wanna have a policy, somebody will sell you one in two minutes on the phone, but that’s not the way I try to do business. In buying one, you gotta do your homework. There’s a pretty fair amount of effort required. Peter, the young man I ventured with, was knowledgeable. He knew the things I was looking for. He did a reasonable job in helping me zero in on what I was looking for.

I’ve used extra coverage before. I liked the security. Purchasing from CARCHEX was pretty easy. Someone called originally but I didn't have time. He gave me two quotes based on the coverage that I was looking for. I asked if I could get a followup to my email so I could look into it further. He said he would follow up with me within a week. Unfortunately, I never heard back from that rep, so I just went online and purchased the warranty after about 10 days. But I haven’t heard from anybody since I purchased it. The lack of a followup call and not hearing back is a concern. Right now, I’m left at having spent a couple of thousand dollars and having no paperwork. All I know is what I read on the screen.

I filled out an online form requesting a quote. A gentleman contacted me on the next day (Saturday). He was very nice and provided a quote. He then began to pressure me to provide my credit card info. I felt like it was too expensive and didn’t want to make a decision. I was transferred to a supervisor- also very nice- given a small discount & again pressured to give credit card. I ended up doing it, but I regret it and feel like I should cancel. I would have preferred a quote to be emailed so that I could look everything over and make an informed decision. The only email a received was a confirmation, but no details about the coverage. I had to try to write everything down and then make a quick decision. This is not my preferred way to do things. I wish I had been more assertive but I wanted to just express my feelings about the interaction. Thank you.

My car is 19 years old and it has 127,000 plus or minus miles on it. I was like, “What company’s gonna insure this?” but when I called Carchex, they did and they made the offer of the premium. I said there’s no way I could fit that into my account. I’m on a very fixed income on disability. A supervisor got on the phone and they extended the length of time that I would be paying on it by six months and they lowered the monthly amount. They gave me a discount for being a veteran.
He told me that it kicks in at 3,000 miles or 1 year. I said I’m not gonna have 3,000 miles for 10 years and he knocked it down to three months and 200 miles or something like that. He said that if I have a claim then, they would honor it. They explained it and the way it worked. If I take the car to the shop, I would only have to pay my deductible once regardless of how many different things they have to fix. Also, they answered all my questions. I asked how do they make money insuring a car as old as mine and the guy said it’s kinda like a crapshoot. He said that when they say that they'll insure a car of that age but it’s in good condition, they take the chance. Sometimes, they get lucky and sometimes, they don’t.

My interactions with the service representative Ken were exactly what I needed from him. My first call was as a stranger to the product and the benefits. He took the time to explain to me so I could understand and learn what to look from other vendors. My second and third calls to him he handled with the exact level of information that I needed. I have an expensive car and I didn’t have the factory warranty on it anymore because it has a salvage title. So, I called CARCHEX and they told me that I would be able to still get a warranty with having a salvage title. I just had to pay a little extra. My mother had sent me the link to CARCHEX, and then I just called them up to see what they offered. I have a full coverage already, from bumper-to-bumper. I just don’t have the factory warranty that covers the motor, transmission, and the electronics in the car. So, I wanted to get that added to my full coverage because I was unable to add it from my insurance.
The guy I dealt with was professional, good, and he helped me get a discount on the service if I was getting it that day. His supervisor gave me a discount. I was fairly assisted by CARCHEX. I am still waiting on my full contract because I wanted to know if there was any stipulations because I had a salvage title. They said they were able to insure me, but I don’t know if I’d be treated differently if it was a regular clean title. And if you have a salvage title, I don’t know if there’s a difference in price or in services because they say I have a full coverage of motor, transmission, electrics, and anything besides wear and tear items.
The supervisor from CARCHEX who gave me the discount said, “Anything that happens to your car, whether it’s like the axle breaks, or the motor goes, or the transmission goes, or the computer in your car is messed up, you just take it to anybody who’s licensed or contracted with American Auto Shield, and then they’ll just simply use your ID number, and then they’ll call it in to the American Auto Shield for payment.” And he made it sound very simple. I'm gonna call American Auto Shield, and see if that’s the same thing because I don’t wanna have to be paying over something, and then when I actually need it, I have to jump hoops to get my car repaired.

I thought I would keep my car. I only have 30,000 miles on it and it's in good shape. Plus I like it and I’m retired. I don’t need to use it everyday. But it was out of warranty. I looked on the internet and CARCHEX was recommended. Then purchasing with them was a pleasant experience. The guy, Tony, was real nice on the phone. He explained everything and the price was good. They also set up a monthly payment plan and I was glad they had that because I would have hated to write a check on them. It takes a long time to get that money back in there. So when I can operate on somebody else’s money, it’s always a good thing for me.
It means a lot to have the coverage. I usually take my car to the dealership to get it worked on and when I’m sitting there, I watch people my own age. People would come out and say that the car is out of warranty and that they need $1,800 or $3,000 so they can fix it. I’ve heard it where somebody didn’t keep up with their maintenance or it was something electrical. I didn't wanna be one of those people. Then other than my car warranty, CARCHEX would give me towing and car rental too. That made a big difference.

I looked up online available ongoing automotive repair warranties because my car is half paid and it only has 33,000 miles on it. I decided to go with somebody independent rather than Honda because I’ll probably use other garages other than Honda. In terms of consumer rating, CARCHEX looked like it has 10 stars on several multiple sites. I sent an email and they got back with me. Time was running out and I thought I might as well do it.
They were very cooperative and they offered me significant discounts which made sense for them to do because of the car mileage which was not 50,000 or 60,000 miles. There was probably less to go wrong. They offered me reasonable payment plans because I told them it was my first month without a car payment. I didn't wanna peek around and there were two or three payments. They worked with me to have a level of payment that would allow me to kind of enjoy saving some of the money that I was paying for car payments before. I had pretty positive feelings about them. I made my first payment a week ago and I’m waiting for the documents in the mail.
But the one thing is that before the warranty kicks in, I have to put a certain number of miles on my car. I realized that because I could have somebody buy this because their car is about to breakdown. But at the same time, it was like 1,000 miles. It takes me three months to go a 1,000 miles. I wish that wasn’t quite stringent. Other than that, I like the way that they pay. It sounds like they make payment to the shop before the repair work begins. That way at least your garage won’t end up not wanting to do business with you because of delays in getting payment. Overall, CARCHEX seems like a reasonable company and I was pleased to see pretty good consumer ratings for them.

I have tried to process my first claim. It has been a nightmare. I intend to cancel the contracts. I will have more to say about this when the saga is over. I was required to make a special trip to the service center to verify the $100 deductible -- WHICH IS A PART OF THE CONTRACT ITSELF.

The claims administrator was asking your repair shop for a signed invoice in order to pay the claim. This is a standard procedure to ensure the shop did the approved work before they are paid. We are sorry there was communication issues between the administrator and repair shop as they were never verifying the deductible. Your repair shop was paid the approved ammount after deductible on Friday 6/28/2019.

I would recommend CARCHEX. When I checked online for the top five companies in the nation, they were in the top two. Plus, my purchasing experience with them went well. I was happy with how my experience with CARCHEX went. My car is a 2011, and I didn't have any warranty left at it. I got it covered because I thought, “How long can you keep beating the odds?” I used Google to see what the best providers were, and CARCHEX came up on top. I was also happy with the payment that they set up for me. The finance guy was very nice, and he gave me his name and his number so that if I had any problems, I could call him directly.

The process used seemed to be a high-pressure one. I was transferred twice to someone else despite being told "Do you mind being put on hold for a minute?" when each time someone else came on the line. Each time this happened when I asked that a quote be sent to me via email. The third person made the pitch that if I signed up right now I'd get two different discounts. I restated that I would have to talk with my wife about such a decision so would appreciate the quote being sent to me. I was told that I could only get that if I gave them a refundable $125 deposit. I had checked with a couple of other companies and none required a deposit before I got the "real" (discounted) quote. I chose at that point to end that call.
After the call I did receive a non-discounted quote. I called again and was assured I would receive the agreed-upon discount which would be confirmed in another email if I committed to signing up. I took a chance and they were true to their word. I received the contract with the discounted quote. Everyone was civil - even helpful. However this process - being passed on to someone else twice, and then being told I'd have to make a deposit to get the "real" (discounted) quote - was troubling. This company seems to be well-rated. They would do themselves a favor by changing their process to be less-shady-seeming.

I signed up pushed by the rep helping me to sign up as it takes one month for the policy to kick in. In the meantime my dealer sold the car to someone else. When I called back to cancel, I was switched to another department by the sales rep helping me, nobody answered when the call was switched. I left a voicemail message and no one called me back. However when I called back yet again to switch the policy to another car rep answered and switched me to someone who switched the policy. I was never called by the department for the initial cancellation.

It's beyond easy to sign up and impossible to cancel. Requiring a letter to be sent to keep the customer longer and give excuses on why they couldn't cancel. It's beyond a reasonable company. The response time is also abysmal.
Thank you for your review. Our cancellation policy does require a written request from the contract holder as you stated in you review. While we understand the time and frustration this method can cause, it is a requirement of the Vehicle Service Contract.
The insurers of vehicle service contracts require a signature to ensure the contract holder is requesting the cancellation. This is in response to customers who have canceled by phone or email filing a large claim several months later and saying they were not the ones who cancelled the coverage. These matters typically result in legal action which resulted in a policy requiring a signature.
As the seller of the coverage and processor of the cancellation request, we understand this is more work for both our customers and our processing team who scan the letters and submit them to the contract administrator, insurer of the coverage, and finance company.

I heard about CARCHEX. I went online and then went to ConsumerAffairs and Better Business Bureau. I went to the top 3 sites, and CARCHEX is one of them. And they had a payment plan that I could pay this warranty off over time. It was also a warranty that I felt that was very reasonable. The coverage is fine. I have a very big car and I baby it a lot. I do all my stuff on my car that I’m supposed to do. I’m just apprehensive of being able to keep all the bills together in case I'm asked for stuff. But my husband said I just need to go back to the place where I get my stuff done, and they’re able to print stuff. So that shouldn’t be a problem. I just signed up with them a month ago and so far it’s been very pleasant. I was new to this and Sean was this gentleman who helped me. He was very thorough and talked to me.

I called CARCHEX and spoke to a fellow named Ken. We went back and forth, and then I talked to another company and they had a better rate. Ken said he went back and forth with his boss, and that was the lowest he could do. So I told him that I was gonna check with the other companies. I forgot the name of the company that Ken worked for, and I called the next one down, thinking it was a different company. I called the same company again, CARCHEX. I didn't know it was the same company, and the guy there gave me a better rate than Ken. It was longer term and less money. Then he put me on hold and he was gone for quite a while, came back and gave me the deal. It wasn’t until the thing was completely done that I saw that evidently, he went and talked to Ken. But they gave me a better rate, so I just took it and didn't go on looking anymore.
It was odd to me that Ken told me several times that it was the best he could do and that he had gone back and forth with his boss and he wouldn’t let it go down. I had talked to another company before I talked to Ken, and it was less money. And when I talked to Ken, he couldn't beat it. Overall, it was a nice purchase and Ken worked hard, but he must've wanted a bigger commission out of it. But it worked out good.

I was purchasing an older vehicle and I liked CARCHEX’s comprehensive plan. Peter, the person that I spoke to, was very helpful and very knowledgeable. I came across on the internet a lot of negative feedback about CARCHEX so it makes me a little bit concerned and hesitant because it's a lot of money to buy an extended warranty. So, I'm hoping we don't have any issues.
I never believed in a vehicle protection plan. I always felt that they were a waste of money until my last vehicle. We've always bought an extended warranty plan with every single one of our vehicles but I never had to use them. My husband talked me into getting it on the last vehicle because I was telling them that I didn't need one. It was a two-year-old car with only 20,000 miles on it and it has lots of issues. It has more than paid for itself.

When I bought my car, they gave me an extended warranty for 60,000 miles. I added some things that would come ahead with it. I got it through the dealership that I bought it from. And it expired at 93,000 miles. So, I figured I would go ahead and get me another one because they were good. I looked for the best people to get an extended warranty with, and CARCHEX popped on one site as number one. Plus, they had a Better Business Bureau endorsement. The CARCHEX reps went through all details with me and explained everything to me well.

Purchased my policy June 6. My wife and me decided to trade the car in for a new one instead two days later. I'm trying to cancel and get a full refund. I keep getting the runaround and I'm sick of it!! The seller told me, "Well your next billing date is not till July 7th," which is a lie. Next billing date is June 30th. I'm not that stupid. I want my 100 dollars back, No hassle, No runaround!! If necessary I will get a new credit card and cancel the other one so no other amount of money comes out whatsoever and file a fraudulent charge if any more does which I made perfectly clear I WANT TO CANCEL AND WANT my 100 back asap.

This company does not deserve any stars but I had to select at least one star to tell about my experience. I purchased the Centennial Plan in March, 2019, a few days after I purchased my older well-maintained vehicle. A few months down the road, I experienced some unresponsiveness so I took the car to an authorized dealer who proceeded to call Carchex. It took them two and a half weeks for Carchex to return the calls and another week and a half for an adjuster to come to assess the vehicle.
In the meantime, I was constantly in communication with a "Kevin" at Royal Administration Services, who is the third-party administrator for Carchex. He asked me for documentation that did not pertain to the claim at all, such as the car registration, title, smog check, bill of sale, and the Dept. of Motor Vehicles paperwork. When I questioned as to why I needed to present all of that, I was informed that if I didn't, the claim could be denied. I reluctantly presented all of which was asked for.
A couple of days later, I guess after it was determined that the car was indeed legal, the claim was denied. Kevin told me that the contract should've never been sold to me and I should ask for my money back. Oh, and by the way, the claim was DENIED based upon a "pre-existing" condition. I thought consumers purchase extended warranties on used vehicles to help absorb the cost because of the wear and tear which could lead to a condition unbeknownst to the new buyer.
I immediately called Carchex and talked to Adam ** to demand my money back and of course, he disagreed with everything Kevin from Royal said about them not having the authority of selling third-party contracts. He was extremely argumentative and arrogant and told me to "take them to court" when I told him I wanted ALL of my money back. Bottom line is get an extended warranty from a company that does not have third-party administrators and who will honor their contracts. Extremely dissatisfied in Las Vegas, NV.

It allows us to address concerns with the claims administrator. We have reached out to the management team at Royal Administration and will address your claims concerns.
Based on the recorded calls, your repair shop called in a transmission claim on 4/23/2019. The claim was denied on 4/26/2019 with a letter of denial mailed on 4/29/2019. Your claim required a 3rd party inspection of the vehicle to determine the cause of failures which is why the claims decision took 3 business days (not 2 weeks). The claim was denied due to the failure being determined to be a pre-existing issue.
With regards to the adjuster requesting the bill of sale/purchase info, this was required to show you recently purchased the vehicle. If you had owned the vehicle for some time, maintenance records would have been required as part of the claim. Normally, the administrator pulls a CARFAX vehicle report to obtain this info however with the vehicle recently purchased and the claim being called in 53 days from purchase, CARFAX had not updated the information. We understand the frustration in having to provide the documentation, but in this case it was needed to proceed with the claim.

Very dissatisfied, after paying for 5 months my car broke. They canceled my contract and now I have to wait 60 days for a refund and need to pay out of pocket for repairs. My car sat in the shop for 10 days waiting to get an approval for repairs that were denied. Every time I called I was told something different. My request to speak to someone with authority to advise me of any issues was never filled. My car is still in the shop waiting because my money has not been refunded.

According to the contract administrator, your claim was delayed while requesting additional documentation to attempt to verify the odometer on your vehicle so your claim could proceed. per the vehicle's CARFAX Vehicle Report, prior to your ownership of the vehicle the odometer was rolled back from 153,000 miles to 106,000 miles.
Due to this rollback, your vehicle was no longer eligible for coverage so a full refund is being issued. While a normal pro-rated refund takes 60 days, due to this being voided by the administrator you should receive your refund in 5-7 days.

CARCHEX was listed right along with the Chrysler Corporation warranty online. And I was sold on the price. I got the salesman competing with the Mopar price. Also, what I understand is they’re top-of-the-line. My experience with the company has been good.

Had a terrible time canceling and the contract will not cover any expense over what they determine is the cash value of car. To me canceling should be easier and frankly done online. I also believe that coverage should be upfront.

With regards to your review, all Vehicle Service Contracts have a limit of liability. It is important to review this to ensure it meets your needs. Please be aware that while some plans only cover up to the actual cash value, many of our policies cover up to $15,000 or actual cash value, whichever is greater. This ensures older vehicle and high mileage vehicles receive the benefits of the vehicle service contract.
With regards to the cancellation process, Vehicle Service Contracts require written documentation of your cancellation including a signature from the contract holder. While inconvenient, it is required by the insurer of the contract to ensure there are no disputes after cancellation about whether or not the contract holder cancelled the coverage. In the Vehicle Service Contract industry, customers have cancelled via phone call or email in the past and attempted to file a major claim (4) months later for an engine claiming to have not cancelled. These disputes often lead to legal disputes so the insurer requires a written letter and signature to be mailed in to avoid any disputes.

I found Carchex online. It’s rating is higher and it has good reviews, but it's bit more costly. It will be better to pay monthly rather than 24 months in 5 years. Still, when I bought the extended warranty, setting it up was very quick and the people were all very helpful.

I was worrying about having to come up with a significant amount of money out of pocket if I have problems with my vehicle. So, I decided to do some research and based on the rating of CARCHEX, which was an A plus in the Better Business Bureau, I decided to move forward with them. It was a matter of trying to get the best coverage and when I looked at the reviews, it seemed that most of them were positive. And when I purchased the plan, the process was seamless and things went pretty smoothly. Their reps were very knowledgeable and very informative, too. My interaction with them went very well and I have no complaints.All in all, the warranty is extremely valuable to me, especially when you have a payment to meet. One of the last things you wanna add on top of that is significant repairs.

I have a relatively new car and when I initially purchased it, I did not get the extended warranty. But now, my job requires me to travel more so than I did before and that’s why I got the extended warranty. I looked at two other providers but when I spoke to the representative at CARCHEX, I liked his spirit better. Sometimes, you will make a decision not based on the company itself or the company’s attributes. It's just the person that you’re speaking to and you’re hoping that the company has similar values to this particular person because they're there.
The person was relatable and very personable. So it was a comfortable interaction. Still, it’s a sales-based job so they’re gonna put the highest package out there to you. But when I looked at everything, it was in fact the better package for what I needed and what I wanted. With things and the way we live in this world today, I know car repairs can be very costly. So the warranty was what makes more sense – to pay a small amount for a monthly or pay a gigantic amount which could also be monthly. You never know. Cars break down. There’s nothing guaranteed. So I can pay CARCHEX, make sure my car is fixed and get a rental which does not impede my lifestyle, and I’m fine.

My car is getting older and having a warranty is good. I went to the Better Business Bureau website to look at warranties. I ended up calling CARCHEX and I didn't have to be on the phone long. It was definitely quick and easy. Customer service was good. When I was supposed to make my payment, another payment had hit, and I couldn’t make the whole payment for CARCHEX, but the rep made it work. So, that was good with me. It was a good experience. I'm happy that they're BBB accredited.
The rep that I dealt with explained everything. And everything that he explained was better than the first place that I called. CARCHEX was reasonable, way cheaper, and I got more mileage. I know I'm covered. So, if anything happens, I just have to wait a few weeks to get my car fixed. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I could drive my car cross-country and come back. I have recommended CARCHEX to my friend.

I’m going to be going out of town for six to nine months, and I wanted to make sure that if anything happens to the vehicle while I'm gone, my wife would be taken care of and she wouldn’t have a lot of hassle. I looked online and did research and then when I read that CARCHEX does coverage up to 200,000 miles and most of them only went to 150,000, I signed up with them. Their rep, Benjamin, was really cool and worked with me. He helped me out as much as he could. Buying the protection plan from CARCHEX was easy. It was a quick process. I told Benjamin the time that I would like to see the transaction happened and he was able to make that happen.

The warranty is totally valuable and I hate to drive a BMW one. It can be expensive to repair. I got an extended warranty and the process was smooth. I got carchex because of the price and the rep and I had actual conversation. He wasn’t reading from a script, which was really important.

The company gave me a brand new 2018 Dodge Journey so I canceled the CarShield insurance that was on my car. Two weeks later, they called and said something went wrong. They never called the bank and told me they were gonna need the vehicle back so I took it back. I got my car back and searched around for something different than CarShield and got Carchex. It’s pretty awesome that Carchex worked with me to get my payment to where it was almost the same with CarShield. They also told me that Carchex is better than CarShield or is one of the best ones out there. Purchasing the plan was awesome. It went really smooth and the gentleman was nice and thorough. My experience with Carchex was awesome.

I bought the car and it's still under the manufacturer's warranty right now. As a matter of fact, I'm dropping it off to have it checked over real quick and I've given a few excuses for me to look at a certain thing even though there's nothing wrong. And I figured, since it's still under their warranty, I can get it out of the way now if I have to. The vehicle in itself is really nice and Outbacks don't seem to have a big problem with transmissions or engines or anything else. But it has so many safety features and my biggest concern was all of the sensors. So, I thought it would be worth it to go ahead and get an extended warranty, especially for a timeframe. Besides, I don't do a lot of driving, so the amount of years will long outweigh the amount of miles.
My son recommended me to CARCHEX and other extended warranties are very similar with them in the sense that you have to pay $100 deductible upfront. But it came down to what's covered and it looked like CARCHEX covered more than what Subaru was offering. They offered 80,000 for eight-years while CARCHEX offered about 90,000 for seven years. But I'm not even gonna have this vehicle for seven years. I'm gonna turn it over in the next four to five years and I'd still have more mileage on it. So, even though the Subaru one was a year longer, I went with CARCHEX.
Aside from that, the Subaru one was more expensive. But initially, the first price that I was given at CARCHEX was higher than the one offered by Subaru. However, the gentleman went to his manager then the manager came out and took all the deductions for different items. So, once we got to all the little things that he was able to make deductions for then we became much less than the other one which has worked out really well. Their rep was also very good and very helpful. He answered all of my questions and in our conversation, I finally got around to what's not covered and the list was coming up pretty short considering. So, I felt that if I'm gonna buy one, I'm going to buy the best since the price was lower than the one that wasn't the best they had. So, for me, I got a better extended warranty at a lower price and I'm pretty happy.
So far, I'll see how it works out. It's like an insurance policy. You have it, but you're hoping never to use it. But it's gonna be very valuable just for the peace of mind. Outbacks aren't notorious for being glued to the shop, so I may never have to use it and for me, I don't wanna use it. But if I have to, it's nice to know that you got something there that will take care of business. All in all, my experience was straight to the point and I'd recommend CARCHEX.

When I purchased the 2018 Ram brand-new, I got the three-year 35,000 warranty. I'm already at almost 23,000 and I wanted to make sure it was covered after my factory warranty runs out. Having coverage is very valuable. You need it. I've had millions of calls from different warranty companies but I found CARCHEX online and their price was a little better than everyone else's. Purchasing the plan was self-explanatory, easy and very specific. I did it over the phone and my interactions with the rep were great. I've also gotten the booklet and I've read the book for how to file a claim. It just says that I gotta contact CARCHEX before I have any repairs done.

I already had extended coverage, and it was about to expire. It was a one-year contract, but I didn't renew it. I did some research on all of the warranty providers and for what I needed, CARCHEX was the best of them. Purchasing from them was a fairly easy experience. They were able to get me a better deal than initially offered, and it didn't take too long. Their rep was friendly and helpful and got me over to the right person to try to get a better deal on the package they were offering.
Having a vehicle protection plan is very valuable. I had to use it last time. I would have been paying $3,000, and I only had to pay 100. I have a Lexus, and everything is expensive. The problem was the car lock actuator and the front door lock wouldn't work with the key fob. And it's really difficult to try to lock them from the inside and then go back out and lock the back doors. It won't set the alarm. It's like a big mess. The warranty company was quick. With the Lexus, they fixed it at the dealer too. That was the other thing that I liked about the warranty. I didn't have to go to some strange place to have it done. And I got a loaner car for the day or two that they had it.

I bought an older vehicle that's out of warranty. I inquired with Carchex and a couple of other providers online. I did review their ratings online and Carchex had very good ones. They called me and the rep was very friendly and helpful. He gave me a price. I backed out a little bit and he pretty quickly came down on that price. It seems like a reasonable number and that kinda convinced me. I sent the sample contract to my mechanic and he agreed that it was a good deal so I called Carchex back and took their coverage.
The rep assisted me very thoroughly. When I told him I needed time to review the contract, he left me alone for a few hours and didn't bug me so that was appreciated. Having the warranty is very valuable. There's a chance I may end up canceling it if I get a year or two down the road and have had no problems whatsoever with my vehicle but for now, it gives me a lot of peace of mind having a used car. I would definitely tell friends to look into Carchex. A big part of that is the fact that my mechanic reviewed it and said it was a good policy. I would absolutely recommend Carchex.

The pricing at CARCHEX was good, and the product that they offered was a little bit more comprehensive than others. The customer service rep that I worked with was friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciated that it wasn’t really high-pressure as it was with some other companies that I was speaking to. So, overall, it was a pleasant experience. Setting up the payment plan was easy. There was a manager that came on the phone, took the credit card information, and then set the plan up from there. I would recommend them.

My prior warranty just expired and I got an extended coverage with Carchex for peace of mind. I paid in full, but the process itself was very smooth. Peter was the name of my contact and he was great to deal with. Everybody was very courteous and they gave a great follow-up. It was just enough to make sure that I was staying on top of it. It was really well done. I received the paperwork and was looking through it. Their declaration page should be a little clearer and I was planning on following up to see where it was. Other than that, everything was great.

I bought my car that’s on the policy in 2017. I have read reports online that there are issues with the Ford Focus. There are issues with the drivetrain. So, I wanted to protect myself going forward with the drivetrain. I like CARCHEX. Because of the number of stars they had next to their competitors, I bought a protection plan from them. The purchase was very seamless. I signed up over the phone with a live person and our interaction was very good and seamless. Having this coverage gives me peace of mind. I drive a lot, so I'm hoping there are no hidden tricks as far as, “That’s not covered. This isn't covered.”

A vehicle protection plan is valuable in case something goes wrong, especially if it’s a used vehicle. I liked what CARCHEX had to offer. They said they offered towing and if I was on a trip, they would cover the hotel cost. So, that was important. I called different companies and I decided to go with them. The rep was very good and the interaction was great. My questions were answered. However, I talked with the service department and they said that there is no third-party warranty company that ever covers 100%. So, that had me a little nervous because they said that they would cover 100%. Nevertheless, CARCHEX reps were friendly and thorough.

I was buying a second-hand vehicle. And I had experience with having warranties in all of my previous vehicles and wanted to continue having coverage on the vehicle that I was purchasing. I didn't know what I was walking into, so I wanna be covered. I did a research and the representatives at CARCHEX seemed very straightforward thus far. I am still waiting on the money-back refund within 30 days if you decide not to go with them. And I cancelled because of the price. I had a Mini Cooper quoted, and it was much cheaper than the vehicle that I actually went with. I went with a different vehicle, and the price jumped up a little bit. I told them I’d give it some thought and I did, and I didn’t wanna move forward with that anymore. Up until then, I’ve had a good experience with them. And they told me some things that other warranty companies didn’t offer, and I appreciated the information that they provided.

I have a 2018 Platinum F150 and the manufacturer’s warranty expires at 36,000 miles, which I just hit. There are a lot of sophisticated electronics on the truck, which if they were to break down, would be expensive to repair. So, I wanna make sure they were covered. I looked at reviews from three different places and when I googled CARCHEX, they had good reviews. I also looked at ConsumerAffairs, which had them listed as maybe number 1, if I recall correctly. That was the influence for all my decisions. Where ConsumerAffairs had them listed up there, that could be trustworthy. Joyce, the rep, did a great job. She was accurate in her presentation of the exclusions and inclusions in the warranty. I’m a veteran and she shared with me that she’s also one and I always appreciate people who made that decision like I did. Overall, purchasing with CARCHEX was good.

With them, it’s a pretty smooth and straightforward transaction, and I feel that it's reasonable dollar-wise. I had Carchex for exactly 3 months. I wanted to cancel due to Unaccurate statements on what I was told and what the policy actually covers. It was $220 to start my policy. Upon cancelation I've given a total of $660. I never used or ever filed a claim. The refund takes 45-90 days after cancelation (which you have to mail a letter & cancelation form). Awaiting more than 90 days I called and asked about my refund and they said they are mailing me a $40 check? Does this sound like a company that cares about customers or their vehicle? I don't think so. I feel this company is a scam and does little to nothing for customers or vehicle issues. Stay away if you don't want to lose money. I recommend an extended warranty with a specific dealer.

I have not received the hard copy of the contract within 7-10 days as indicated in the welcome e-mail. I have not received response from the agent and I talked to a different agent who hasn't sent the information that we agreed was going to be sent. I wasn't able to review the contract within 30 days and I am dissatisfied with the process handled by CARCHEX.

I had a warranty on my vehicle and it was expiring. I had talked to a provider and I didn’t care for what they were telling me. With CARCHEX’s deal, you get 30 days money back guarantee. I was talking with CARCHEX, and I didn’t know they had different levels of plan. They were telling me what they cover and they told me about three different plans they have. One they talked about didn’t cover steering so I asked why they don’t you cover it. They told me the plan they were talking about doesn't cover it, but they got one that does. And with the next plan, I asked them what they don’t cover. They said they don’t cover the ignition but they have a plan that does. So, I told them that I’m looking for a plan that will cover bumper-to-bumper. I consider steering a major maintenance job. And I’m asking for bumper-to-bumper cover, and they were telling me the steering is not covered. So, I’m still talking to people.
I’m not completely satisfied with that. Plus, most of the providers have a $50 deductible. But CARCHEX has a $100 deductible. And so, I’m not happy with the $100 deductible. But I’m not satisfied how they keep jumping from plan to plan. I was asking for bumper-to-bumper coverage from the start. Another thing I wasn’t satisfied was the 30-day waiting period. And I got a thousand miles to go through before I could get the service. I was telling them that the only reason I’m getting the extended warranty is I’ll never know when something's gonna happen to my vehicle. I might be driving down the street today and something will go wrong with it.
All in all, the people from CARCHEX weren’t trying to give me their highest level premium plan. They just want to try to sell me. They didn’t give me the information and let me decide based on the information. If I hadn’t asked a question, I would’ve had a plan that I’m not pleased with because they didn’t tell me what wasn’t covered. They were asking me for my credit card. So, I asked them. They only told me what was covered. But I might still end up with CARCHEX. I like some of the things they told me. Their rep also answered my question.

Purchased Titanium warranty with Carchex on Friday May 10th 7:30 pm. After full purchase I received my warranty info via email and saw the warranty is provided by American Auto Shield. This company was not mentioned when I spoke in length about the coverage. I was sold on the Carchex reviews. Researched American Auto Shield and read an alarming amount of negative reviews. Additionally, Ripoffreport.com consumers advise to NOT BUY.
On Saturday morning within hours of purchase I immediately called and left voice mail and followed up with an email to CANCEL the policy. I was told it could be cancelled for full refund within 30 days. Today is Monday, I am still not able to reach customer service. Automated message that they cannot handle call at this time, leave phone number and they will call back. The representative I spoke with and sent 2 emails notify to CANCEL cannot issue refund. It's thru customer service...again I am still waiting. Very disturbing, feel bait and switch. Should have been fully advised of the service provider prior so that research could have been done. Discover advised me to tell them to cancel the transaction which I sent in second email. Still waiting on call to cancel, unbelievable that the rep that sold it can't cancel it.

When I was researching which company to use for a vehicle inspection it was very difficult. I read many horror stories. I decided to go ahead with Carchex. I am extremely glad I did. They were outstanding. Super fast scheduling and even faster report upload. The inspector was very thorough and did a great job. Very detailed and took many photographs. Obviously I cannot speak for every inspection completed by Carchex, but my inspector and inspection was top notch. If I ever need a vehicle inspection again I have no doubt I will be using the services of Carchex.

CARCHEX took money from my card and sent me the information. But I read it thoroughly and it’s not right for me. In fact, I had my attorney checked it over and he said that the warranty is not for me. He said there’s no way that people keep receipts on every gas and oil change, and that’s the only way they will pay for anything, if you have receipts showing it. I’ve had the car for five years and I don’t have a receipt on every oil change. So, I have the extension number for the man that I talked to and I'm getting ready to call him. I will not be taking the contract, so I’m gonna cancel it and have my $125 returned to me. And for all that, $125 a month is steep. Other than that, the people I’ve spoken to at CARCHEX were very good. They convinced me that I should at least read the contract, which is what anyone should do before they sign anything.

The car was starting to get higher in the miles and my wife has a high-mile vehicle. She's had issues with hers so I just wanted to protect myself. I looked at comments from different car companies and found that CARCHEX was in the top five of extended warranty companies that I looked into. I spoke with their rep and it went smoothly.

I called and started a policy with this company on January 16th. When I received my contract a couple of weeks later there was an error with what they had on the contract. After questioning this I was told to supply a picture with the current reading which I did immediately. I was told everything was good and they were going to reissue me a corrected agreement. Several weeks (4-6) had passed and nothing so I called. When I called I was told by ANOTHER customer service agent that they needed more information about my odometer and I had to resend everything that I had already sent.
Mind you no one ever called to say there needed anything further it's now March. I sent everything, they dropped the ball AGAIN and now it's April still no coverage and issue unresolved. I took my car in for a repair only to find out they had "held" my contract as inactive because they had not resolved the odometer issue. They were still taking out payments and I wasn't able to use.
Fast forward to May. Just got issue cleared and now customer service denies claim to fix items from March saying they were pre-existing. NOT TRUE. Excuse they gave is claims person was new and didn't read all the notes at the bottom of the screen. Customer service assures me issue are covered and will bypass claim agents and give to supervisor. Took several days for them to call the dealership. When they did, they decided to dumb down the prices so everything feel below my deductible therefore nothing was covered at all. Contact Barry and Chevrolet on West 96th Street, Indianapolis and he will be happy to give you all the details and share how ticked off he is at what they were doing. I've asked them to cancel my policy and reissue every penny they took since I actually paid for absolutely nothing... not even coverage. #Nightmare

We had a warranty through the car company we bought our car from and it was only a two-year warranty. My wife got to looking at what CARCHEX had and noticed that it was a more lengthy warranty. The mileage and the whole package was also better, so we purchased from them. We have LegalShield at our place of business, so we went through that. As far as I know, we don’t have any problems with CARCHEX and we would recommend them for somebody else just because of who they are, the way that they handled things, and the way things went for us.

I’ve used CARCHEX for at least two other vehicles and I’ve been pleased with the product. I wanted to have the car covered for major incidents. The reps explained the benefits and the cost and exactly what I wanted in an efficient manner. The agents answered my questions, were complete but also quick, and I got what I wanted. When we’ve had to use it, it was through a local service group. That was very easy, non-argumentative, just the facts and got the job done. Having a protection plan is very relieving as far as anxiety about what could happen. I know what the coverage is, the price was reasonable and the whole process was very easy. I would highly recommend CARCHEX to a family member or a friend.

Well they called me every day and answered right away when they wanted me to buy their warranty. I took my truck to Brakes Plus and it needed a sensor that said it was covered in my book. They were on hold for over 2 hours waiting to get the part covered while my truck and I sat there. Customer service is only good until you buy the warranty I guess.

My experience purchasing the extended warranty from CARCHEX was not very good. I got calls from about four different people all trying to sell me the same thing on the first few days. They were a little too pushy. Most people would like to think about it instead of getting inundated with phone calls time and time again. And then when we got down to it, they didn’t get the right name on my CARCHEX. I called them as soon as I got it, but Ralph had already gone home for the night then. The next day he called me back and I was gone. So, I called him earlier today, and I haven’t heard back from him. So, I’ve been waiting for a callback from Ralph to get that all set up right.

This company has great customer service. They go above & beyond with any problems you may have. When it comes to towing I wish it was unlimited miles to your dealership and a higher limit for the dollar amount they will pay.

I originally went with Delta Auto. They were a little bit cheaper and offered more. And they were really pushy. Then the guy from CARCHEX called me back, and I told him that I went with Delta Auto, and he told me to go to their website and look at the bottom. At the bottom, there’s something stated that it was not a real warranty service. The CARCHEX rep filled in all the info about Delta Auto. He told me that for the insurance industry, you need to be registered and you need to be backed. He also said that I would rather not have a warranty than have a warranty with these guys because it was gotta be a waste of money.
Once I got in and looked at reviews, a lot of people were complaining they weren’t even serviced by Delta Auto. So, I went ahead and went with CARCHEX. They were not as pushy and it seemed like it was a better deal. The rep was really nice and he took time to explain everything. He went into detail about the extra, and that California is not a common state. He was pretty straightforward. The coverage seemed pretty good. It was half the price of what the dealer wanted, and it was more mileage too.

My vehicle's warranty was up and it's an expensive vehicle. I was searching for engine, transmission, and electrical coverage, and CARCHEX was more competitive than the other ones that are offering similar services, plus they had 5 stars. I got an extended warranty on my car as a precaution and I got one from CARCHEX. It was easy to purchase from them and the rep I dealt with was able to answer my questions. I thought that my warranty had bumper-to-bumper coverage and CARCHEX would fix whatever little thing would be wrong with my car. I also thought they'd help if something was wrong with the car and if I was given a bad one, then I'd get another car or something. But I need to learn some more about this warranty. Lately, I’m supposed to get the brakes changed and I thought I wouldn’t have to pay anything, but I still gotta pay a little something. So I wish they'd could cover my brakes all the way

When I contacted Carchex for a warranty after countless searches the salesman made me feel assured I made the right choice. The customer service experience from Larry ** was awesome. But that's the extent of good service from them. When it came down to filing a claim, AAMCO, who Carchex recommended had a very hard time reaching an adjuster for approval of repairs, stating a two hold hold time over the phone. Finally he couldn't reach them after submitting a contract. I took my car in for repairs listed as covered prior to that. However, not only did aamco not get through to an adjuster, I called to speak to one after waiting over a week just to get an approval while my car sat in the shop and my rental car payments accumulated that was to be reimbursed to me after all repairs were made.
I was told prior to that anything listed on my contract was covered but I'd only have to pay for things not covered. Well Carchex adjusters finds ways to deny claims so nothing is covered. Also no coverage of repairs means no reimbursement of rental fees, no labor cost covered, and no diagnostic service needed covered.. I feel I was set up as I was told to just take my car and everything would be covered that I needed repaired except optional parts. That just to have nothing be covered at all because of an optional part that AAMCO needed to know if it was covered. So because of this Carchex wouldn't approve my claim even for the covered part.
I spent a great deal on this and am out. This company is a total ripoff and scam. I should have known better after seeing them affiliated with AAA, and All State, who is the worse insurance company around. All State is known for such issues and Carchex warranties go them All State for approval of claims. All State is worse than all of their STUPID commercials. THE WORSE COMMERCIALS IN THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY!!!!
