Signing up with Carchex was easy, and my interactions with the rep was all pleasant. I went with them because of the way that the deductible was broken down, and I also pulled Carchex versus the competitors' rating with the Better Business Bureau. Another website says that they're not as good, but the Better Business Bureau says that they have way less complaints than the other providers.

Everything was fine with the dealings that I had over the phone, but I haven’t received my contract yet. They told me it would be 7 to 14 business days, and that window was just fine, but the other company that I had with my other car sent my contract over email. That may be something Carchex would want to look at. That eliminates sending through the mail. You can get it and look at it, and if there’s any issues, you don’t have to wait that 7 to 14 days, then read it. Other than that, having a home warranty is very valuable. It saves you money.

I called five places and CARCHEX was the first place where someone answered immediately and was a person, so that was nice. The coverage has a low deductible, and things that aren't traditionally covered like bolts and struts were also covered. And the warranty company was more willing to pay for repairs than other companies that have crazy long claims processes. Someone talked me through the claims process, and it sounded a lot easier. I would recommend CARCHEX.

CARCHEX is accredited and rated high with the Better Business Bureau. They also have fewer complaints than some of the other companies. I signed up with them about three weeks ago and their rep wasn’t bad. I try to do my due diligence by asking as many questions as I can and try to find out who I'm giving my money to. The rep probably got tired of me because I was asking so many questions. Compared to some other plans, I'm pretty satisfied with what was offered by CARCHEX for my Audi A8 L albeit not 100% satisfied. That car is loaded with a lot of electronics and I wish the plan had more electronics covered than what it has on there. Another negative to my experience is CARCHEX told me my contract would arrive in 7 to 14 days. After 14 days, I haven't received my contract. That was a little unusual. Other than that, I don't have a problem with the extended warranty.

Purchasing Carchex went fine. I had an average amount of questions about the policy. You get the manufacturer's warranty when you purchase a car, and then even if you get it used, which I did, the manufacturer's warranty lasts to a certain point, and then it ended. So I clarified that, that that was an additional 45,000 mile policy. Then I also asked about the deductible and they said that would be just $100 deductible for that.
The only thing I did not know, was that from the mileage that they recorded, there would be one month and another 1,000 miles before it would be enforced. So that was okay because it was right at 60,900 miles. I knew about the deductible, but not that other part, that it would be another 1,000 miles. But that wasn’t any big shocker. They were really good about explaining who would be covered to do the repairs. They said either the dealership or a licensed shop. Then, they went over all the other kinds of specific items with me - the towing, the rental car, if I needed that depending on what kind of breakdown it had. So that was good.

Carchex had an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau and they cover gaskets. However, they said they were going to send out the paperwork and I still haven't gotten that in the mail, other than the email that they sent right away that said that we had made a deal and what the deal was. But it showed no contract, and that was supposed to be sent out right away. And that's been over a week.

The reps of Carchex were great. They explained everything. I was searching for something that I can pay month to month and something that would be for the life of the vehicle. But they weren't able to give me a plan like that, because they don't do it like that. They do three-year plans, five-year plans. But they said after the five years, I should have no problem renewing the plan.

The sales rep of Carchex did his job. His presentation went very well. He made the purchase process easy and simple. Everything was fine. Because I was indecisive about it, I just wanted to do some more research. I got his number and it was nice talking to him. I would call him time-to-time to say, “Hey, how are you doing, man?” Because we clicked like that.

I can’t rate you other than so for a disappointment. I purchased the plan in June and have as yet to receive any paperwork. I was told I would receive a packet and as yet have received emails and no packet. I will be contacting the office of the Virginia Attorney General to have them investigate if this is some sort of scam.

The reps of Carchex were good people. They were polite and spoke nicely. They managed to tweak me a plan that was very nice. Because I'm disabled, the manager got me a discount and got a reasonable price for the coverage.

Bill ** was very helpful. I still have not received the corrected contract with the expiration date which should be in 2025 not 2024. Your waiting period policy of 30 days and 1000 miles is a hardship on me since I only drive 5000 mile per year. I am an active customer and went through the waiting period 4 years ago. No exception would made upon my request. That would be good customer relations.

I was satisfied with Carchex. The rep of Carchex was very informative and professional. I appreciated them working with me on getting the coverage. The representative was really helpful because I wasn't really committed to getting it that day because of my pay period. They said that they had the end of the month special for July, but then I wanted my payment due on the fourth, and I was afraid that they will turn it right around, billing me for that again. But they didn’t. They were gonna make it due in September. So I was able to set it up, get the coverage, and have my first payment in September. They worked really well with me for that and I appreciate that.

There was no customer service at all at Carchex. I thought it was relatively cheap, good price to have it covered. And there's nothing wrong with the vehicle right now. So I called them in July to get coverage. But then, I haven't heard anything from them since they took my money. I was supposed to get something, that little jack under your steering wheel, and they never said anything and it's been a month. So I'm really disgusted with them. They said they were a top-notch company, and I said, “Yeah? I think you're just waiting for something to break down, and then send the part, and not be responsible for it.” So they should have said it right away because they took my money right away and I'm not happy.

I was impressed with their coverage and pricing. The salespeople were adequate and good. They knew their subject and we were able to conclude with one phone call. It was pretty good. The application process was easy and understandable. I received a copy of the contract through email but I have not received the actual contract yet. I thought I would have it by now and it's been over a week.

The guy I talked to on the phone when I purchased didn’t give what was promised and when canceling my service y’all still tried to not return my money and I canceled within my thirty day period and it’s sad because I was actually very happy to have an extended warranty to make sure all my bases were covered but next time Imma just get a dealership warranty so I won’t have to deal with y’all money sucking scumbags using a scamming website. Shame on y’all.

I bought Carchex warranty so I can sleep well at night without having to worry about last minute issue. I spent close to $3k for this warrenty. I took my car in for a sensor emergency brake issue and the costs were about $1k. I was hoping the warranty would cover that but it didn’t. Carchex is now telling me they are only covering half of that. The sales person told me one thing and now I’m hearing another.
When the warranty was sold to me nothing was discussed except the sales person said everything is covered except the automation part of the car. He never said anything else just that Carchex isn’t like other companies and they don’t have the red tape and they have the credit cards not upper management so things move a lot faster and things are covered. Luckily I was able to work on the final price with the mechanic rep, where my car is, and he said I owe $300, which includes the deductible. So now I’ve paid close to $3000 for the warranty, $100 for the deductible, and $200 for the fix to the mechanic. So I’m in the hole about $3300. I’m saddened by this new news, especially when I have my son's college tuition coming up that I’ll need to help him with.

While you have my credit card I still have not received a copy of the contract that I thought I was supposed to sign. I still have concerns about some of your exclusions and may cancel in the first 30 days if these are not addressed. Concerns include exclusions like body panel and "components" (not body parts that may have been damaged in an accident but the moving parts that operate within a door panel), seat belt retractors, head or tail light "assemblies" (not the bulbs but the electrical stuff that leads to the bulbs), hydraulic suspension control systems, valve guides, valves, piston rings, transmission clutch, and bands...
These are all quite mechanical and exactly why I wish to buy insurance. I know they wear out over time but isn't this why we are putting a limit of five years and 100K on the policy? I do want to note that Chris ** was VERY HELPFUL, up to the point that I have not heard back from him with my concerns. Otherwise, I would have given him five stars!

I just purchased the Carchex protection plan for both of my vehicles on June 19, 2021. A few days ago, I received a packet from Carchex. Inside the packet was the contract associated with my 2017 GMC Acadia. The information on the contract was blank and the summary of purchase listed the Ultimate package. I scanned through my contract and did not see anything referenced to an Ultimate package so I called Customer Service. The first person asked for my contract number and I provided it to him. He told me to look on page nine of the contract to read about the Ultimate package.
I tried to explain to him that page nine was the transfer of your agreement page. He kept talking and I asked him to please stop since he was talking about something that was not in the contract. He told me to NOT interrupt him when he is talking and hung up on me. I called back and talked to another person and this person was very rude and stated that I did not have a contract with them. He stated he could not find the contract number nor my name in the system. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he told me that I could not speak to a supervisor without a contract.
I told him I have one in my hand and he told me that he cannot find it thus he could not help me. Very poor customer service. I did not get my questions answered from Customer Service. Both gentlemen were rude and seemed not to care that I just bought two contracts from Carchex. I spoke with my salesperson and she stated she would send my concerns to her boss and he would reach out to me. He never did. Not a good start to a purchase.

I recently purchased an extended warranty. The contract person was very nice, explaining everything to me clearly. The price was reasonable. The only thing that keeps me from a higher ranking is the 30 days AND 500 miles provision. Both instead of either have to be passed before the warrant takes effect and I don't think that's fair.

Haven't used it yet. Requires speaking on the telephone to mechanic to approve. No Spanish speakers available in their offices to have such discussion. That seems absurd. The in person who goes to the shop will speak Spanish. They will reimburse me for approved claims since my mechanic wants payment upfront.

Carchex refuses to answer my request to refund my money for the warranty within the first 30 days as they promised. They just keep juggling me around like a hot potato and nobody answers the cancelation line. I guess I will be robbed of my $110 and have to cancel my card. This is unethical. When I wanted to purchase they jumped on the phone in 5 seconds. This is so disappointing! Do not do business with this company! I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK Carchex. It is the right thing to do and don't respond to this pretending like you are trying to resolve something because you have not. I have my phone on and am waiting for your call. Shame on you!

Patrick also took the time to see if I qualified for any additional discounts. I took my time reviewed quotes and ratings from other companies and Carchex was the highest rated and best deal out there.

I know we all read the reviews and we all get nervous about buying something. If you read any bad reviews on this company please believe they are true. My wife and I purchased this warranty about 8 months ago and only used it once for the grand total of 475$. Now my dodge 3500 decided to burn up its clutch fan and these people won’t cover it cause they said it’s not in my contract to cover. Then my a/c is freezing up in this hot summer time months and they won’t fix the evaporator coil. So basically we’ve paid all this money to them and didn’t use the warranty and apparently we still can’t use it. So if you have these people I would strongly suggest you cancel and find a better company. You’ll end up paying for warranty and the repair yourself anyways. Good luck with this company if you refuse to not cancel your contract. It’s not worth the headache.

According to our records, coverage for your 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 was purchased 10/31/2020 with a starting mileage of 198,432 miles. Based on the mileage of the vehicle at the time of purchase, your truck qualified for our Silver and Bronze levels of coverage which are inclusionary coverage also known as Listed Component Coverage.
You selected our Silver level Powertrain Plus plan, which was the highest level available. The plan covers only the listed components. The listed components provided coverage for your engine system, transmission, drive axle system, transfer case system, Electrical system, Air Conditioning system, Cooling system, and Fuel delivery system.
Unfortunately, the components needed for your AC repair were not listed components for coverage and were denied in accordance with the contract terms.

First let me say that Carchex is NOT a warranty company. They do NOT administer warranties. They are a BROKER and sell warranties provided by other companies who administer them. Ben with Carchex called and told me that the company I purchased a warranty from were liars, it was a scam, they would not pay, and only started a month ago, interrupted me constantly, and POURED on the pressure. Red flags popped up all over the place. Professional people do not bad mouth others in order to get your business. I told Ben I would check out what he told me about the other company and if I thought it was true I might call him back and get a warranty through him. That was last week.
He called me today and I told him I found out that American First Auto protect was legit, had been in business since 2009, not last month, and seemed very professional. In fact when I told American First what Ben had said they said they thought it unprofessional but refused to bad mouth Carchex saying it would be unprofessional to do. I admired that. Ben was not having it, raising his voice again. "You're going to go with a scam company who won't pay" he pressed. I told him that I'd decided for now and I'd let him know if I changed my mind. Rather than just respect that he started loudly again..."So you're going to go with a scam company who..." and at that point I hung up. If Carchex wants to have a good reputation I suggest they change their tactics.

All you're giving me is 46, 776 miles more with this contract. for $3,682. This is been approximately 2 weeks into the contract. I am not satisfied. With another company, they will give me up to 126,000 miles for $239 more than your contract.

We were happy pretty happy with the original quote, but were taking time to think about it. We got a call from Carchex asking why we were hesitant. They shot us a little lower price and we agreed to go with them. We had a question after receiving the policy and got a good response when we contacted the rep.

I just got off the phone with Carchex and they are not easiest company to work with when your vehicle needs repairing. In fact, they make it extremely difficult to process a claim. Currently, I have a drivetrain issue with my BMW which is cover under my warranty. First, it took several attempted to reach to a representative from Carchex claims department. After reaching a rep, he collected all the necessary info from the repair shop and told the technician that a claims technician will contact them shortly.
A day later no one contacted the repair shop. When I called Carchex claims dept., the claims rep proceed to asking questions such as what's the issue with the vehicle etc...I explained to him that all the information was provided when the claim was filed. He stated that this information is not in their system (very frustrating). He continued by adding that a claims inspector need to inspect the vehicle before any repair can be done and that may take up to 48 hours during business days.
Also, it's Memorial holiday weekend, so the claim inspector may not inspect the car until the following Thursday (a week later). I explained to the claims rep that this is my only means of transportation and I drive 30-miles one way for work and proceed to request a rental car since it's in my contract. I was told a rental is only approved after the car is inspected by the inspector. Also, I was told to submit all repair and maintenance documents performed on the car over past year and without these documents they will not send an inspector to inspect the vehicle (another hurdle).
Given the circumstances and a customer with a paid in full Platinum contract, I expected more urgency and problem solving from Carchex. By the time Carchex process this claim I will be out of a job and still without a car. At this point, the writing is on the wall, now I have to pay for the repairs out of pocket because of all the hurdles they have created to make this process severely difficult. I suggest that you save your money and use it towards any unforeseeable repairs in the future because Carchex will find every reason to not repair your vehicle. They should be a peace of mind but in reality, they are added headache. So that's money down the drain.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate the feedback related to the claims process with your contract administrator. As the retailer of the coverage, CARCHEX was not involved in the claim approval process as we do not approve or deny claims.
Based on your feedback, we did request the claims information to determine what happened on your repair. The contract administrator did advise a claim was started on 5/27/2021. During the initial call with your shop, the intake representative was advised by the shop they would send over a repair estimate with the parts and labor time. The shop reported a Check Engine light code showing low pressure and low current flow related to the fuel pump control module. The repair shop also requested to replace the fuel pump.
Based on the code, and repair items requested, the contract administrator required the fuel pump control module be replaced and the fuel pump be retested as the likely cause of failure was the control module which is not an eligible repair under your platinum level of coverage. Unfortunately, this request was left as a voicemail for your repair shop on 5/28/2021 (the Friday of Memorial Day weekend).
The contract administrator was not contacted again so the claim was administratively closed on 6/8/2021. Without a confirmed mechanical failure of the fuel pump, the claim was not eligible for coverage.
We will have a representative reach out to you to request a copy of your paid invoice to see if the administrator would be willing to reimburse for the repairs as a courtesy. you may also give us a call at (877()227-2439 Ext. 6001.

I am currently in the purchase process of my car warranty. Customer service was pretty okay and wasn't pushy. The payment option seems pretty reasonable too. It was a little bit higher given the comprehensive nature of the plan. But if all of that works out, then the price will be worth it. I'm also super worried about a lot of the reviews that I saw on the Better Business Bureau site about the quality of the folks that CARCHEX uses to do the fulfillment for the actual warranty itself. CARCHEX seems almost like a brokerage service and I wasn't really aware of that when I signed up. If they can be a bit clearer about that prior to taking payment, I would appreciate it.

I found out after reading the contract they mailed me that their covered labor rate is below market in my area and when I called to complain a representative said they would send me a new contract with a market rate clause in it but they never sent anything and I ultimately canceled before the 30 day cancellation window ended. Disappointing.

According to our records, coverage for your 2015 Honda Civic was purchased on 4/8/2021. The plan purchased was a 5 year / 100,000 additional mile Powertrain Plus Plan. This plan has a cap on Labor Rate of $100 per hour listed in the contract for this silver level of coverage.
On 4/29/2021, we received a call from you regarding the labor rate and asking to cancel the coverage. For the Powertrain Plus plan, the contract does not offer a market labor rate option which is why it is capped at $100 per hour.
Our representative was able to reach out to the contract administrator and request an exception to add the surcharge. The administrator approved us to add the Market Labor Rate surcharge to your contract which covers the posted labor rates of any repair shop you took the vehicle to. Our representative offered to add this $300 surcharge at no cost to help resolve your concerns.
This modification was underway when the administrator received your request to cancel your contract on 5/3/2021.

The sign-up with CARCHEX was pretty seamless and their rep was informative. When I originally signed up, I didn't have too many options because of the mileage on my vehicle. But I have since swapped vehicles and swapping plans was pretty easy as well. The vehicle that I just purchased is a 2018 which is a lot newer with about 50,000 miles on it. I have peace of mind because a lot of the factory stuff went away at that time. Although the truck itself has a lifetime powertrain warranty, CARCHEX was able to adjust the plan accordingly price-wise.

CARCHEX had the things I wanted. Their rep was very helpful and explained the coverage excellently. The service package I got is all right but it could have been better. A different company offered another one similar to that with more coverage and miles but it's cheaper. Overall, having a warranty is 100% valuable.

We purchased an older vehicle, so we wanted to make sure that we were taken care of in the event that we had an issue. I signed up over the phone and it was a smooth transaction. The rep forwarded the information to us along with a welcome package, etc. We weren't too familiar with Carchex, so we're hoping that should we need them, we won't have any issues. I dealt with the same gentleman several times, and he was very informative in giving me the different options, and flexible with the payments as well as the different options in terms of coverage. The reps were understanding what my goals were in terms of how long I’m gonna have the car, how many miles. They were able to customize a plan for me that I feel very comfortable about. They were also very thorough and they answered my questions. I would not have moved forward if I didn't feel like I had that level of insight. Although I have not had the experience of having to use Carchex, I feel very comfortable that I'm covered if anything were to happen. It can get very expensive, so I'd rather pay and have the peace of mind. It’s just like insurance. You hopefully never have to use it, but it's great when you have it.

Purchased a policy from Carchex; never received a copy of my contract. Had to file a claim, and the adjuster paid only partial for the claim, as well as never paid the tow charge, as well as the (included) rental charge. Upon calling and leaving messages with "Kent" (**), never received a return call over weeks. Called from a new number, and finally got ahold of Kent, which he was quick to bounce me to American Autoshield, stating they had a response, spoke with AS, and they state there has been no communication in over 2 months.
Tried calling Kent back, no answer or returned calls from voicemails I have left. I have been playing phone "hot potato" with half a dozen departments, and almost a dozen different individuals attempting a resolve to this issue. As of writing this review, I have not been reimbursed for out of pocket tow, car rental, and only a partial on a shop bill; all of those items were included in my original stated contract. This has been a nightmare just to talk with someone that can give me a resolution, this has been months since the repair. -Worst customer service I've dealt with, in a Very long time.-

We were forced into getting a warranty at the dealership because of the type of vehicle that we purchased. Even though I said that we do Carchex, they scared my husband into getting the policy that they had up there at the dealership at the time so we had to pay more money. The rep from Carchex was very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, knew what I needed and right to the point. I’ve been through it and I knew what I wanted, and they empathized with me with what happened with the dealership. They explained and there were some things that I probably didn't need them to because I had that coverage before but they confirmed some things anyway.
The extended coverage is 110% very valuable because we need it. The vehicle we have is a very expensive vehicle and the warranty didn't come with it, unless you bought it. It was very expensive. The dealership didn't have a five-year that they offered at CARCHEX. So, the product itself was beneficial to have that peace of mind or security and having it for that long even though you probably won't need it.

Everybody was nice to me when I signed up but I was going to get a card in the mail to put in my wallet and I didn't get that. Still, people should get Carchex. They have done alright with me.

I'm retired and I want to have peace of mind in terms of planning expenses for vehicles. CARCHEX customer service was great and pretty much direct. But there were not a lot of details in the conversation because of the time we had on the phone. I was told they are supposed to send me a packet containing all the hard copies of documents but I have not received anything yet. It's supposed to be two weeks but that was almost a month ago. Right now, I'm just waiting.

I like the way that CARCHEX did business. One of the other carriers had some goofy system where they quoted me one price which was a bit high. They then quoted me eight times. They started out at 139 a month and went down to 59.99 a month. I didn't appreciate that sales tactic. I didn't have that with CARCHEX. They had a 10-year plan and 100,000 miles for one price. That was good. I also checked with one other company and their plan continued for as long as you paid the monthly amount. But that was gonna be pretty expensive. CARCHEX had the best value and sales approach. Customer service explained the benefits and laid out a couple of different options. The representative did a fine job. The first part of the process was easy.

There's nothing wrong with the vehicle right now but it's gonna break and I want to be covered. But nobody will do that because I'm high mileage. It's like having a preexisting disorder or disease and then trying to get health insurance. Nobody wants to do it. If they do, you're going to pay through the nose. Carchex was a little more pricey but it was not crazy. It was what I would expect to pay for coverage. Nothing is free and I have a high mileage vehicle so you got to give a little to get a little. I was impressed.
The guy who set up my account answered all my questions and I had a million of them. I wanted to go month-to-month but nobody was offering it. Chris walked me through all of that and he would dig things out of the fine print to pull forward from the Zurich website that wasn't listed on the CARCHEX website. He showed me the people with older policy and what they were going to do for me and how much it was going to cost me to get it started. He showed me that there was a 30-day, 1,000-mile grace period prior to it going into coverage. He made me understand everything, which was why I went with CARCHEX. He made me comfortable and made me feel like they were not going to try and rip my head off. So, the representatives did their jobs well as opposed to trying to sell the product.
The experience with Carchex was good and it went down like a whirlwind. I changed my mind and they credited me back. I got a full refund because I jumped off prior to going into coverage. I thought that that money was going to be gone but they did exactly what they said they were going to do. Neither one of us knowing how that situation was going to turn out, but we were both prepared for whatever and they wound up going my way instead of CARCHEX way. But they held up their end of the bargain. It worked out and they were great. When I run through this truck, like I did the last truck and get ready for an extended warranty, I'm calling CARCHEX back.

If you get three repairs with the average being about $1,200, the policy is paid. People should look into Carchex and if they can afford it and it's fit for them, shoot for it.

When I went to renew the extended warranty on my truck, Carchex gave me five years, 50,000 and the price was reasonable. They also gave me the same coverage as the other company did. If I have any problems with the truck, it's $100 deductible and Carchex covers the rest, which is fantastic. The rep I spoke with was great and it went very well. The only problem I had was I gave them the wrong mileage. When they sent me the contract, I saw it and I sent them pictures of the new mileage and a recent service, but I haven't heard anything since. Still, the experience has been good so far.

I went on CARCHEX's website and saw all of their qualifications and the things they've done. The sign-up was quick and easy. There were a couple of times where I had to have customer service call me back and they did at the time we had talked about. They were very easygoing about it. An extended warranty is very valuable to me. I'm not going to use my vehicle very often but I like knowing that when I do, I'm covered no matter what happens to it.

Carchex got me the paperwork right away when I purchased the protection plan. I had one representative that I had to go through and it was easy to go through him. He told me to contact him if I ever need anything in the future. They've already sent out the card and it's already in my vehicle. They explained the whole process and that I gotta wait 30 days. Everything was easy peasy and it was excellent. I'm not a big fan of getting into the car companies because that's one way they can bilk you and you have to do some negotiating with them a little bit. I went with one-time pay with a coverage of five years instead of doing a little pay every month. So, that turned out to be even a bigger savings.

Claim process is outsourced to Royal Administrator Services which has a different version of contract than what is sold to the customer. For e.g diagnostic charges are not paid for or the claim team does not want to pay the part manufacturer price.

We are a 2011 Honda Pilot. At the time we contracted our car had 77k+ miles. Very nice condition and well maintained. This contract is less than a year old at present and truly we hope not to use this insurance for car repairs. Upon signing up the contract says that we must wait 30 days and or drive 1000 miles before the contract becomes valid- understandable. This agreement is valid for 100,000 miles only at a payment of $91,00 per month. We did have an electrical issue and took the car into our local Honda dealer. They identified the issue -- the part to fix at dealer $550.00 approx. And add the labor $1215.00 dollars. It took this company 7 days to resolve the issue having asked for price of parts and labor at the dealerships.
Auto zone, O'Reilly's all the others could parts drive this needed unit to the dealer and they could do the work in like 4 hours...The part was priced at between $165.00 and OEM part like $310.00 approx. I guess a dealership will allow the client to purchase the part and voila!!! They will install. Less time and less rental payment. Plus the policy does not include a rental so this is at the expense of the policy holder (me) from the dealer at a cost of $300.00. The dealer service agent had to call 7/8 times to never get the same warranty agent on the other line nor did he get an authorization for the same period.

I just received the hard copy Brochure for the new Extended Warranty Coverage policy (R01003761) on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have a couple of questions. First the Starting Mileage that is reflected on the only document I can find, which is the one sent me via Email is 75,999. On 9 Apr I sent Patrick ** via an Email message that the current mileage as of the night of 8 Apr 2021 was 74,856. I can’t find anywhere in the hard copy documentation that you mailed me that the correct starting mileage of 74,856 is specified. Based on the mileage I provided and the mileage that the document provides we have a difference of 1,143 miles. I don’t want to have to wait an additional 1,143 miles before being able to have repair coverage.
Second, The Policy Name reflected on the Summary of Purchase is “Preferred” but the Schedule of Coverages beginning on Page 3 of the Hard Copy Document has no “Preferred” Coverage just Colors and/Metallic listings. I believe we discussed something about “GOLD” but that isn’t reflected on the Policy Summary. Could you help me out with some written guidance on which/What our coverage is for the policy we have purchased. I sent this same request to Patrick via Email on 16 Apr and had no response to date.
Also, I can find no way to get a Registration/Sign-in for the CarChex Web Site for our account to verify that the official info on our policy is correct. I can’t get into the Paylink site using the guidance provided in the brochure you sent. I would appreciate some help in figuring out what our final coverage and starting mileage really is.

I purchased a warranty from CARCHEX on 4/13/2021 and they (a lady named Rae) told me that she would send me an email immediately [that day] with the "Service Contract" so that I could see what I was purchasing. They had already deducted the $209 from my account and after a full day of not receiving the contract I began by leaving Rae 2 emails and 3 phone calls asking to see what I purchased. NO RESPONSE from Rae even 2 days later. I reached out to others in that company asking to be sent an email with the contract only to be passed on to someone else. I talked to no less than 4 people from Carchex and I still haven't received the contract so I can't read what I purchased. The service you receive when purchasing a contract from Carchex is really a nightmare. They will not do what they promise. What can I expect when filing a claim. Business as usual???

I purchased a warranty from Carchex after completing hours of research online for extended car warranties. I was told that the car would be covered for nearly any mechanical engine failure. I specifically asked about suspension components and the salesperson said they were covered. I have spent over $4,000 in repairs on my vehicle in less than a year. They haven’t covered a single cent towards any repairs on my vehicle. Not only that, but I had switched from a competitor and the salesman lied about the coverage being better than what I had previously purchased. They said the powertrain plus coverage was comparable when it’s one of the lowest coverages they offer. In fact it’s not even listed on this site. They did cover a jump start and the process was fairly easy, except that they don’t tell you the roadside benefit has a maximum of $400 for the LIFE of the contract.
Steer clear of this company if you’d like any peace of mind that repairs will be covered. This $2,700 warranty has not provided any peace of mind. Absolutely none of the car repair facilities I’ve visited will work with this company. Truly disheartening that a company would treat its customers like this. The second your warranty is paid for they will no longer assist you. I was also told I would receive the manager’s cell phone number if I had any issues. Do you think they ever provided that information or helped in any way after the sale? The answer is absolutely not. Once they get their commission they wash their hands of anything and say it’s out of their control, contact your plan administrator.

I was told I had to call Paylink to cancel. They said, "Call Car check." (Chex) They said, "Cancel by email." There is no way to cancel by email. I waited on the phone for hours and still did not cancel. Why do I have to cancel anyway - just stop paying!

After reading through what one has to do before they can even take a car in to have regular check-ups, get an OK even if you're stranded to call Carchex, and some other rules, I didn't like the controls that you put on the buyer of this policy. In fact I didn't like that it didn't cover paint, etc.

Our policies require you to maintain the vehicle in accordance with the Manufacturer's Maintenance Schedule including oil changes, transmission flushes, etc. This is a requirement for all warranties including the manufacturer's warranty.
With regards to being stranded and starting a claim, our policies include 24/7 Roadside assistance. If your vehicle suffers a breakdown, we provide a phone # to call for services like towing, lockout service, etc. Once the vehicle is delivered to any licensed repair shop, the repair shop needs to call the claims department, provide their diagnostics for what is wrong with the vehicle. The claims administrator will advise your repair shop of any additional requirements to complete your claim.
As far as paint, you are correct it is not an eligible repair under our coverages. The vehicle Service Contracts we offer are for the mechanical components of the vehicle while paint is considered cosmetic and excluded from our coverages.

I asked for a better price and the rep was somewhat curt and impatient. He offered me a premium of $3427 which was way over what I was quoted at another company. I told him I was quoted $1800 by the dealership where I bought the car. He began to grill me as to what company it was. I didn’t know. He immediately gave me a quote of $2000, which is over $1400 less than the first quote. That’s quite unbelievable. I offered $1800 and we went back and forth. I was at work and ran out of time. I wanted to get the coverage and be done with it so I agreed. I paid cash in full.

I'm mostly happy. I only wanted a 3 year contract. But, I was told you don't offer a 3 year. So, I wound up with the 4 year. It's a 2010 Lexus and have 121,500 miles on it at the time of the contract.

Although I’ve been skeptical of buying an extended warranty I feel confident as long as I keep my maintenance up as I have been doing, majority of things I do myself and keep records which they said since I have mechanical knowledge I can, I THINK I will be pleased. I have not used it yet, and honestly hope I do not, but it eases my mind if something major ever happens. Sales guy was extremely courteous and helpful.

I owned a new account for 2018 Jeep and canceled warranty for 2015 Jeep. The salesperson for the new warranty told me he would forward my email for my refund of 2015 Jeep car warranty and never did. I called weeks later only to find my refund was never processed. Further I recently had my 2009 Jeep repaired for a broken door latch. The mechanism inside the door was broken. This the 2nd time the door was looked at. Carchex denied the coverage. How is that possible for a mechanism INSIDE the door panel? I won’t recommend Carchex.

I have not received my contract after more than two weeks. Sample contracts don't cut it. I need to see my actual contract. It's hard to see what is covered with nothing in hand to read. Not happy with the experience so far.

I googled and Carchex had a good review online. The rep explained it good and making payments was easy. First payment was a credit card then they saved that and then it'll be auto drafted every month. Having Carchex is extremely valuable. If something goes wrong with the transmission, the engine, or any type of major component, and you're not protected, it's coming out of your pocket, so it's worth it to pay this per month.

Purchasing the warranty was a really simple and easy process. I spoke with a representative there and they answered all my questions about it. They laid out my options and worked with me on the payment schedule that went along with my finances. They emailed me the contract and the actual payment process was pretty straightforward. I read them my debit card number and they put the charge through for the amount that they said. They also told me, in the future, if I ever had any financial problems or felt like I was going to be late on a payment, just to call them and let them know and they would work out something with me.

I got dropped by Carchex initially a few weeks ago. I had my credit card. The numbers were stolen from me twice. So consequently, I got caught in the web of trying to update everybody with the new credit card. I was sent a couple of notices from this billing company saying that they were gonna drop me, but I didn't recall who PayLink was. So I was clueless. when I asked a question the other day when I re-enrolled with Carchex they said that PayLink was indeed their billing company. It would've been a good thing to have a letter come out from Carchex that was saying that I'd be billed on a monthly basis and payments would be processed by PayLink. I didn't see that.

I am absolutely disgusted with this company. Dropped my car off at the mechanic. He did the teardown and waited for their Carchex inspector to come. The inspector came told mechanic mechanic The repair was approved. The next day after my car had been put back together and I had rented a car for two days that was also supposed to be covered FYI. I got a call from carchex letting me know that my Repair was not approved and I would have to pay out of pocket. I would’ve never had such an expensive repair done and I would’ve not have rented a car for two days. I am out the $1500 for repair and $3000 to a car warranty protection that just left me hanging and lied to me and my mechanic. Buyer beware. Absolutely do not use this company.

In review of your claim, the claims administrator for your coverage did reverse the claims denial and approved your claim.
Please be aware the claims administrator uses a 3rd party inspection provider when ever they send an inspector to any repair shop to verify the repairs. The inspector is not an employee of CARCHEX or the contract administrator and as such has no authority to approve or deny claims.
The inspectors job is to document the repairs with photos and in some cases a video to show whether a mechanical failure has occurred. They are asked to offer an opinion as to the cause of failures, time of failure, and confirm a breakdown has occurred in accordance with the terms and conditions of your coverage. A report is submitted back to the contract administrator for review.
The contract administrator is the only party to the contract with the authority to approve claims.

When he went to finalize it, he ended up checking with the supervisor and they actually found a better deal for me to do it, a different way than what he originally had told me. When I was purchasing Carchex, according to the salesman, everything's covered. He didn't say bumper-to-bumper, but he said, “’Cause we don't use that term anything anymore, but everything is covered.” But then after I got the policy, I saw everything was not covered. When I called back, they said, “Oh, okay. We’ll add that on there.” So now they put the additional part on there that wasn't covered. But there are still a couple of things in there I'm really not happy with. One of their other policy deals is you're only going to pay $100. Anything over, labor cost is my responsibility and that really doesn't compute very well.

I got a pretty good price on an extended warranty with Carchex so I just took it. I thought it would be difficult to purchase, but it wasn't too bad. It was pretty easy. I had to speak with someone. I had Carchex on a previous vehicle a number of years ago. I did a claim on an alternator that went out and they covered it. I looked at other options out there this time and Carchex is not the most economical but they have their reputation. The rep was very attentive in getting the information and my follow-ups with her. She wasn't pushy. She got my car information so they could give me an accurate price and accurate information. It worked well. I haven't had to use it yet but it's nice to have that feeling of knowing that I have something behind me in case something major goes wrong. It's nice to know it's not gonna come out of my pocket, depending on what it is. I feel confident with everything.

I went to buy a new truck and the guy at the dealership pissed me off so much, I decided to go home and buy an extended warranty for it. I looked up who the best extended warranties were besides Mopar, because I knew about it, and CARCHEX was neck-and-neck with another one. But the other one didn’t do Washington State. So, CARCHEX was the next top-rated one. And then, I read some of the interactions from customers they already have. There were a couple of negative ones, but it was more they didn't read their contract. I felt safe going with CARCHEX. And then, I talked to a guy and he just sent me the best deal he could do instead of trying to get me into this or that. I told him what I wanted, he sent me a few options, and then I took a few days and picked the option that I wanted. It was simplified, online, I could take my time to read it and do my own research, and then just go from there.

It's been over a month and I haven't received anything in the mail. I wanna cancel and I want a refund. I don't see a purpose of having it. They said my policy would start after 10 days and I would receive everything in the mail but I never did. They took the money and that was it. I'm highly disappointed. I went from one extended warranty place to another and I thought it was gonna be a better review based on what my representative said. I explained to them my experience with a different place. They said they were guaranteeing me a better experience at Carchex but it's even worse. At least in the other place, I got emails.

I had surgery and I normally do most of my work. It will come to a situation where there was something I won't be able to do, and just to have that comfortability that I can get it repaired with no problems. I got the Silver package. Once I was completed a day later, I thought about, “Oh, man, was there anything higher that I could have gotten?” Other than that, the CARCHEX rep did everything he could do to give me the best deal.

2015 Honda Civic. I purchased a warranty and have proof that it covers line 14. Luxury components. When sales representative sold me the warranty he told me the radio is covered. Now I needed it replaced through the dealer. It's a original manufacturer touch screen. Carchex sold me the extended warranty and now I find out they're just the broker and assigned my warranty to American CarShield. Called them and told me line 14 doesn't come up in their system and radio is not covered. I emailed them proof. Ken ** 1-866-931-3462 ext ** is the sale rep how sold me the warranty. They can't get ahold of him. Carchex also told me line 14 doesn't come up. So I have the extended warranty in hand and proof. What the point of paying $1,800 if they're not honoring what they sold. I look up website and show that radio is covered. It's a scam they are committing fraud

In review of the claims notes on file with the contract administrator, we do see they made an error advising you there isn't a number 14 section to your contract. We are addressing this with the administrator to ensure their staff is providing the proper contract information. Your contract does in fact include a number 14. Luxury components section.
With regards to your coverage and claim, our records show you have purchased the Platinum level of MBI coverage offered only in the state of California. The coverage is for 6 Years and 75,000 additional miles.
The Platinum level MBI plan is inclusionary coverage which lists each eligible components under each system group. In your review you reference number 14 which is Luxury Components. This system group lists the following components:
"14. Luxury Components: (Factory Installed Only) Global positioning System (GPS) and on board communication system, television, VCR Player, DVD Player, back-up warning system, perimeter warning system and electronic driver information display and module."
Unfortunately, the LCD screen is not a listed/eligible repair.

My car is relatively new and it had really low mileage, and the warranty was up but because it's to be a daily driver, I wanted to make sure the powertrain was covered. CARCHEX was the highest on the internet. Purchasing the plan was easy. Their rep has excellent follow through. He called me and tried to sell me the policy. I was like, "Okay. Let me think about it." He called back a couple times, and he stayed on top of me. He was very polite but a very aggressive follow-through salesman.

I looked at three providers and CARCHEX was one of them. The signup process was somewhat easy. I just didn't like the way the agent's characters fell. After he found out I went with another character, he started talking bad about the other two people I was looking at. That was the reason I canceled. CARCHEX should improve on the way they try to sell this service. They can't have someone on the line talking about how good they are, and then talking about how bad someone else is, and they are second to them.

The agent went over everything on my vehicle, and offered me discounts. I am in the 90 day waiting period. Carchex is available in WA state, whereas I get junk mail from other Vehicle warranty companies, that aren't licenses to do business in WA state. I suggest, people would check this out and see that Carchex is at the top of the list of BBB companies.

According to our records, a Silver Level Centennial plan was purchased for your Mercedes Benz on 1/5/2021. The coverage is for 5 Years and 100,000 additional miles. The plan includes a standard waiting period of 30 days and 1000 miles driven before claims can be filed and excludes pre-existing issues.
On 1/27/2021, CARCHEX received a call from you regarding the process of starting a claim and asking what is covered. You expressed your vehicle was having issues with the AC system. Our representative explained the process and went over the coverage with you.
On 2/16/2021, the claims administrator received a call from your repair shop asking to replace the AC compressor and the AC Receiver Dryer. During the claims process, the contract administrator received a copy of an invoice from your repair shop showing the vehicle was in the shop for these repairs on 1/27/2021.
Because your repairs were needed prior to completing the waiting period, these repairs are considered pre-existing and denied for coverage.
While we understand the frustration with having a denied claim, the claim was denied correctly based on the terms and conditions of the contract.

I like the response time of Carchex. I had a wonderful experience with their rep. He was very good. Purchasing the plan was very easy. However, I don't like the fact with the electrical components of it, they need to make it more informative that you're only allowed one replacement per the life of the contract.

In case something happens and knowing the mileage of my truck, I decided to go with Carchex. It was really good dealing with their rep. He explained everything pretty much to me that I was wanting to know about the protection plans. But I thought that I would be able to get any type of protection plan but with the mileage I had, I was just placed in a certain package. That threw me for a loop. So I hope they're good should anything ever go down with my truck.

The rate on the extended warranty that I got from Carchex was a little bit lower than the one that I initially went with. The first company I went with didn't even send me a confirmation or follow up to make sure I was doing okay after I paid the money. But it was amazing that Carchex did that. They care a little more. The rep I dealt with was great. I had to figure out a lot of stuff while she was on the phone and she was really patient. She allowed me to take my time and figure out everything and then she pretty much took care of everything. I had a pretty good experience with her.

My car policy was coming to an end so I looked up and in terms of coverage and the prices, CARCHEX was the best match for me. The person who assisted me with the coverage and the plan was really sweet. She had the time to explain my questions and answer pretty much all the queries I had. So, it was smooth. She also sent me a couple of plans for me and she explained them clearly. So, that was really helpful. If Carchex has an app, it will be more convenient for someone to just log into their account and see the coverage and other stuff.

I thought it would just be kind of a prepaid maintenance plan. I did a lot of research into it and found that CARCHEX was recommended on a number of different sites, and the fact that they had what they called a bumper-to-bumper. Because we even found with the other warranty that we had up in Canada on our other car that oil fluids weren't covered if you were doing transmission fix. This one paid more for it, but it covered everything. We had a couple of little things that went wrong that ended up being pricey. They fixed my seat, got to a certain position and it would do whatever. I've had three or four repairs done through them now. They let me take it to where I wanted to, and then the dealership then just called them up and they made the payment directly through to the dealer, and that turned out really well for me.
I would go in for my standard service, so normal maintenance and repairs is not covered, so standard oil. Transmission oil was the big one for me because it cost me almost $400 for other things underneath my old policy, because they didn't cover fluids and/or the gaskets. There was a problem with the transmission, they fixed the transmission, but the seals and the oil weren't covered. When I went to the CARCHEX one, I found that they had one that was complete. That was great. But normal wear and tear maintenance, batteries, wire, tires, whatever, that's normal. But if they find something that's significant on that vehicle, I would say, "Well, call CARCHEX because that should be covered underneath my warranty." So, they phone CARCHEX, they get it all, and I might have to leave my vehicle there for a couple of days for them to get that straightened away, but that's just a normal process through this.
It was identified in there that if CARCHEX thinks that the garage is trying to take them, they have inspectors to go out and check on that, or at least phone them up and say, "Hey, send me pictures," and stuff like that that the dealership has to do. They look after themselves as well as me, and make sure that it is something that is really an item that should be covered under warranty and/or should be fixed. And that the value is there.
I just signed in for another four years. The car is one that we hope to have for a long time. We had my daughter's X3 in the city here, and both dealerships, by the time they were done, they had all this work would be about $6,000 or $7,000 and not worth fixing. Took it to a buddy, we ended up getting it down to 3,200 bucks. I know the priceyness of some of these repairs, especially if you got a valve cover gasket that is leaking. To do valve cover gaskets are $1,500 on a BMW. You just shake your head at it. If I could get that covered under this warranty, it's peace of mind more than anything else. And knowing I've got a standard warranty for four more years and a bumper-to-bumper other than normal maintenance, I was happy with that.

I bought a car from my mechanic and it's in excellent condition, but the fact that I am a retiree and on a fixed income, I didn't want to face a huge potential repair bill if something went wrong with the car. I googled best car warranty, extended warranty places on the internet. I did three searches, and I liked what I got from Carchex the best. Everything was perfect until I learned at the very end that my deductible was $200 instead of $100. That almost made me pull the plug on it.

When I called Carchex, the lady that I spoke with was telling me that the majority, if not all the other extended car warranty places will only cover up to the value of the car. They won't cover anything past that. But she said Carchex will cover past that up to the dollar amount for the contract that they gave me. That was what made me agree to accept the contract.
It's a three-year policy for 60,000 miles. She told me on the phone on a recorded line that the waiting period was 30 days and 500 miles. Whenever they emailed me the contract the next day, it said 30 days, 1,000 miles. I sent her an email and tried to contact her. When I finally got ahold of her, she said, "I was mistaken. That's not accurate." It would also be for a $100 deductible, but the contract showed a $200 deductible. When I finally talked to her, she said the level plan they gave me doesn't have that option with the $200 deductible. I said, "I'm okay with a $200 deductible, but I'm not okay with you telling me about these mileage restrictions. That makes a big difference, part of the agreement that we made.”
She counteroffered it, tried to change it up again. Again, the mileage came back wrong again, so I contacted her again. I said, "This is the third time. I'm done with this game. I'm under no obligation contract. I don't have to stay with this. This needs to be fixed." This last time, the contract reflects 90 days and 500 miles. I said, "That's ridiculous. You keep increasing the waiting days that I have to wait." Then she told me, "I have to find out for sure, but if you reach 1,000 miles, since now contract is 500 miles, if you reach 1,000 miles before 90 days then the contract will still go into effect." She said she would have to follow up with them and I will have them send me confirmation. That was a week and a half ago and I still haven't heard from them. Now when I'm trying to contact them, I'm not getting any responses. But at the end of the day, she was still nice and courteous.

CARCHEX's limited liability was better than everyone else, and I liked the reviews. I worked with an agent and talked to him on the phone. He gave me an example of a policy to share so I could take and compare it against other companies. He was pretty much open and forthcoming about everything. But there's one unresolved issue with the contract. Other than that, I have purchased a few protection plans in the past and they're extremely valuable. It's all of those things that you don't think about that when you need it, that's where they help you out.

Before my plan becomes active, I must wait one month AND 1,000 miles. As I only drive about 300 miles a month, I will loose three to four months coverage on my overall plan. I understand and accept the need for any pre-existing mechanical conditions to be exempted from coverage, but I don’t think it is reasonable to pay for three to four months of coverage that I do not qualify for.

Carchex had an A plus rating with the Better Business Bureau. I also read many of the reviews that the company received and they were positive reviews. When I first talked to the person, it was a little bit iffy but as we got into the conversation, it got better. He explained the coverage pretty well. I gave them my credit card number for the initial payment and then, they sent the packet. As soon as we received it, I filled out the automatic draft and we mailed it a few days ago.

There was a valid website, like a credit bureau, that led me to CARCHEX. And I punched in online warranties for vehicles that have extremely high miles, and CARCHEX came up in some of the first search results, and then, I selected it. It looked like it was okay. There were a lot of other companies that turned me down because of the mileage on the car. We got a couple of 100,000 miles on it and it's the age of the car, it's a 2008 Altima.
All the agents were fine. They were pleasant and nice to deal with. The only concern that I have is whether or not CARCHEX is a valid company and a determination as to whether or not they will honor service requests on the vehicle, because I've heard horror stories about warranty programs that don't pay out on repairs on cars, and the mileage on this car is pretty high. My only concern is because of the mileage on the car, whether or not I will have a problem with repairs, not in terms of damage to the car, but primarily things that go wrong. The car is in good condition, it's just got really higher mileage. Everything seems to be going fine.
CARCHEX gave me 20,000 miles on the car, and they gave me a short time duration, two or three years' time. But it would be enough time to eke along a beater in-between now and the time that I can trade this vehicle on another car. I suppose that it works out. But at the same time, the warranty isn't a five-year warranty, but the silver plan, provided that it comes through on the contract, like if I have a very serious problem with the car, having a $100 deductible with a car with this high mileage is helpful. The roadside assistance is helpful.
I'm just concerned about there being loopholes in the contract that let you out of major services, and it's structured and built into the fine print. And I go into repair something major, like an axle or a timing chain or maybe the AC unit or the heater isn't working and we're in the dead of winter, and you find a loophole in the contract to get you out of spending the money on the parts and labor to get the car back up and running again. The 30-day wait time is standard among warranty applications. But I haven't really dug into it yet to determine whether or not CARCHEX is shady or if CARCHEX is a valid warranty program that is effective in replacing components and conducting labor on a vehicle with extremely high mileage.

My car is not working and hasn't been since the day I signed up. I called the very next to cancel but was told to call back on Monday. I called a week later on Tues (family issues) Jan 2, spoke to a nice lady, explained what happened, was sent to a young man Named Sean (Shawn?) explained again what happed, he then asked me to hold while he transferred me to the cancelation dept. Well I was on hold for over 20 minutes when I got a voice telling me to leave message and that an agent would return my call, I did and have had NO CONTACT SINCE!

My mom was the one that really wanted me to get CARCHEX. She's the one that brought it to me and got me to get it. I thought it was all necessary and I would need it, but my car went down the other day and I wasn't covered. CARCHEX said that it was a spark plug and they don't cover that because they consider it to be maintenance. So, I was bummed out.

The rep did a very great job. He explained things well and answered all the questions that I had. He gave me follow up emails too. He was very personable. He even remembered my dog was sick and even in later calls, he asked how she was. He made it more almost like you're talking to a friend versus making some kind of business decision which built the trust and was very smart. Having Carchex gives me great peace of mind. I bought a Mini Cooper and those are expensive repairs.

I didn't like the price of the other company and they didn't want to negotiate it. CARCHEX gave me one price and I wasn't happy with it and then we negotiated, so I chose them. I like the fact that I don't have to wait six months before I can file a claim. They have a 10-day waiting period and I thought that was a good feature, as opposed to some of the other companies where you'll have to wait months before filing a claim. The representatives were helpful enough and answered my questions. I was looking for more of a comprehensive warranty and they seemed to understand what I needed.
I'm still waiting to get my contract in the mail. I haven't seen that yet. Also, I'm still not happy with that price. A lot of these cars' extended warranties are overpriced. When you have a vehicle that's only three years old and has little or no mileage on it, the chances of the breakdown aren't the same as a vehicle with 100,000 miles on it. Warranties should be tailored to the vehicle that they're trying to insure. Nonetheless, it was a good experience.

I filled out the quoting information from two different companies. And then, it’s a very generic application so I got calls from five different companies, and I ended up going with CARCHEX. They were the first ones to call me, and Bill was so informative. Any questions I had, he more than gladly answered them. Bill advised me, whenever I get the ID card and if I have any other questions, just call him at his direct extension number. I told him I appreciated his help. The customer service is good. That’s one of the major reasons why I went with CARCHEX. And compared to every other company that I was getting a call from, I felt CARCHEX gave me the better option.
Even though the price was a bit cheaper, it was just the fact of how everything was coming about whenever the car needed service, which was one of my major issues. I was looking for something that I will have to pay some deductible or a certain percentage of, which I didn't mind. If something goes out that is a major issue and it's $3,000, I don't wanna put three grand into it. Other companies were, "Yeah, we'll only cover 50, and then you pay the other 50." I said, “Okay. So, you're telling me even if I'm paying as much as what I'm paying with you guys, I'm still gonna end up coming more out of my pocket whenever the engine blows up or something like that? So, if the engine is three grand, I will have to come up with 1,500, and then you guys cover the 1,500.” They were like, “Yeah. That’s it.” I was like, “I appreciate it, but I'm not going with you.”
Whenever an issue does come up, I'm glad I already have the service covered. Since mine is a bigger car and a newer one, it has more sensors and all this other stuff, and I don't wanna deal with any of that. So, in case something does go wrong with it and I decide to take it to the service, they would probably know the car back and forth, and it's free of mind.

The CARCHEX rep I dealt with was great. He asked various qualifying questions that I feel were pretty good choices to make sure I got the right kind of policy for my vehicle. He was very professional, very polite and didn't try to upsell me. It seemed like he genuinely had an interest in what was best for me and my vehicle. So, I enjoyed it. It was a very smooth process. I made it known that sometimes my travel mileage varies. So, I just wanted to make sure I had enough coverage. We talked about how long I had planned to keep the car and I told them it'd be like maybe two more years. He also gave me some good information on like if I did sell the car, I can sell the warranty with it. It was completely awesome. CARCHEX was one of the top that popped up for referral as soon as I put in the car extended warranties. The rates is better than what I was gonna be paying before, so it was the obvious decision. The only thing is to this date, I still haven't gotten any type of information like emails or anything regarding my coverage plan. I've been waiting for about three weeks to a month to go ahead and receive that particular information, but I feel like they could have forwarded the emails to me. Other than that, everything has been straightforward. The guys that were on the phone did their thing. They broke it down to me as far as the type of the coverage plan that I was purchasing.

It was regarding AAA if that affected the rate and the exact timing of when the policy went into effect versus the first payment. I made the mistake of looking at these reviews before buying. I was fooled. All looks good until you have to raise a claim. Absolutely worthless. They outsource it to local (in-state) administrators. I am going to cancel their service.

Our contracts clearly document that the coverage purchased is administered by a 3rd party claims administrator. We apologize if you were not aware of this at the time of purchase but we did fully disclose this to you.
With regards to your claim on the 2015 Audi Q7 Premium, the administrator received a call from your repair shop requesting an AC Blower Motor repair. At the time of your claim, your contract was active for 58 days and 490 miles driven. The administrator approved your claim based on the terms of the coverage by verifying the labor time through ALL Data, a nationally recognized labor guide, and sourcing aftermarket parts. While your repair shop wants to use branded Audi parts for this repair, the claims approval met the contract terms of like, kind, and quality.
When we discussed this with you, CARCHEX offered to help you with the out of pocket expenses as a one time courtesy but you declined our offer. We have sent you the cancellation instructions for your coverage and await your written request to cancel.

Three mistakes on original contract. I spoke with 2 other salesmen and a customer service person to correct these mistakes. When contract arrived, all the mistakes were still there. I hope your vehicle service (if needed) is much better than your sales force.

I contacted CARCHEX online and spoke with one of their reps. I found out what they offered, what the limitations were, and what the cost was. I purchased the plan but then the guy that I spoke with told me it's a $100 deductible. In the end, it turned out to be a $200 deductible. Other than that, I ended up getting the program for $1,000 less than what they were offering. With the cost of repairs for today's cars, this warranty is fairly valuable.

CARCHEX covers the same things that the warranty on my car covers. I liked that they have roadside assistance and a lot of stuff aside from the warranty on the car itself. The guy I was working with was extremely good. He explained it all and worked with me. He didn't pressure me with anything. I really enjoyed talking to the guy and he really sold me without selling me. He was very sincere. He made the quote for a warranty of seven years for cheaper than what I was getting through Ford. So, I cancelled the Ford warranty and bought my CARCHEX policy.

CARCHEX's agent was very professional and helpful. He called me back and kept in touch with me. Every time I called CARCHEX as the retailer, it was fine. But, we had to call the actual financier for the policy and she wasn't as polite as everybody else with them. She said my payment didn't go through. However, on CARCHEX's end and my end on my bank, everything went through. The financier needs to get a more in-sync computer system with CARCHEX. Otherwise, everything's been good.

I had requested cancellation of the new policy within the 30-day Cancellation Policy. It has been over 6 months and I have still not heard back from Carchex or received a refund. They do not seem to be running a business at all, but rather a scam.

When we were looking online for different extended warranty companies, CARCHEX had a very good reputation. The person that we dealt with was very helpful and we were able to purchase immediately. We received our documentation in the mail, and so far, so good. Hopefully, that will continue.

It was easy as far as signing up. The person I talked to went through basically everything including the amount that it would cost. He was very clear. I was comfortable with him.

I checked around for a few places and CARCHEX convinced me that they were the best option. Bill, the guy that signed me up, was kind, professional, courteous, and respectful. I received a letter in the mail yesterday that said I owe CARCHEX $83, and they wanted it, if needed, immediately. I called Bill and told him to find out what the problem was. He and I had confirmed that February the 2nd was the start of my payments. He said he was gonna call customer service and get it straight. As of right now, I haven’t heard anything from the company. But hopefully, they will call me to confirm it's straightened out.

Easy enough to schedule a quote but as someone who likes to research, listed prices would be better instead of someone trying to push you into a warranty. Not that they did that but because there are so many options to choose from I'd rather read it all as well as the fine print to be sure what option is best.
