When I called CARCHEX, they answered my questions and were decent. They were better and a lot cheaper than my last insurance company.

Everything sounded good at first with CARCHEX. But everything didn't go too well with them. My car is at a shop right now and the person that comes to see about the car told the guy at the shop that the car had too many miles on it, but he didn't tell me this. So, they accepted my contract though and I've been paying for months on this bill, then now, they denied my contract. At the moment, I'm waiting for somebody to get in touch with me to see if I could get my money back. I just got robbed by them.

When the CARCHEX representative said that they paid for the sensors, that sold me right there. I got a bumper-to-bumper policy from them which was cheaper than CarShield, my previous provider, offered me. Also, I got my policy booklet from CARCHEX within a week but with CarShield, I called them three separate times asking for my booklet to show what I was covered for and what I was not covered for. Then after I cancelled them, it finally showed up.

I got my 2012 Buick Regal covered with CARCHEX. I liked the customer service experience as far as the dialogue between myself and the person that I was speaking with. I was comfortable speaking with them. I felt that they were knowledgeable. The signup was very simple and easy.

I cancelled CARCHEX. I'm not going back to those guys. Something went wrong with my car, and the warranty people took me through total hell and had the service department break down the car three times, which I had to pay for. They could have just broken down one time, had everything checked, but they broke it down and put it back together, broke it down again, put it back together, then broke it down again, and they said they were not gonna cover it. They’re the worst company I've ever dealt with.

According to our records, a silver level Centennial plan was purchased on 1/26/2022. At the time of purchase, your vehicle was reported to have 122,501 miles on it. The coverage is inclusionary coverage which lists each component eligible for coverage.
On 4/27/2022, the contract administrator reported a claim being called in reporting a Check Engine light. The dealership reported a misfire to cylinder 2 and 3. The service advisor stated they swapped the coil and plug but the misfire remained. The repair shop reported the vehicle was fully assembled and the administrator could send an inspector to verify the failure.
The administrator called you directly on 4/27/2022 and left a voicemail to discuss the claim and request your maintenance records.
Additionally, the contract administrator ordered a 3rd party inspection of the vehicle to document the check engine light codes and reported misfires on 4/27/2022. The report was received on 4/28/2022.
According to the inspection report, the inspector was able to verify cylinder # 2 was low on compression. A major misfire was documented with the scan tool reporting hundreds of misfires in 60 seconds, consistent with an internal engine failure. The inspector advised teardown of cylinder # 2 would be needed to determine the cause of failure.
On 5/2/2022, your dealership spoke to the administrator about the inspection and next steps. The repair shop was advised maintenance records were still needed and once those records were received, a teardown to the point of failure would be needed.
When advised tear down would be required, your dealership stated this was the second time and asked who was responsible for these costs. This was the first and only time tear down was requested by the administrator and is standard procedure for an internal engine failure.
Upon completion of the teardown and re-inspection of the vehicle, the cause of failure was determined to be caused by the failure of consistent with an intake valve to valve seat seal failure causing a lack of compression and a misfire. Unfortunately, this cause of failure is excluded from coverage under the terms of the contract and the claim was denied by the contract administrator.
Our records show you called to cancel the coverage on 5/26/2022 and emailed the finance company multiple times stating there should be no more payments drawn. Based on these records, your coverage is being cancelled effective 5/26/2022 with your claim mileage of 127111 miles. Any refund due will be expedited.

I got CARCHEX back in January. I was on a Silver. But I realized it didn’t cover everything, so I switched to Gold. One of them doesn’t cover everything. The AC went out in my car and when I took it to the dealership, they said it would cost X, Y, and Z. How CARCHEX sold it to me was I just pay the deductible and they would cover whatever. But they would only pay one-third of the cost. What happened to me paying the deductible? What am I paying CARCHEX monthly for if they are not going to cover my service? My AC was 1,600, and they would only cover 500. So, I just paid out of pocket. They tried to make a scene like I was trying to get over on them, and they didn’t know if it was already an issue. I said, “You can just cancel. I’m not gonna pay you monthly, and you’re gonna pick or choose what you want to pay for.”
Also, it took me four days just to get through to somebody, because I wait on the phone for two to three hours at a time for a representative. Nobody was willing to help me. They kept, “Oh, you got to call this number,” or “I’m gonna transfer you here, I’m gonna transfer you there.” And every time I wanted to cancel, it took me all week just to do it. Nobody wanted to cancel my service. I either would get hung up on, or they would try to make me wait to talk to somebody. It was too much. Everything about it was a scam. I’d never get contact again. If anybody tells me to get CARCHEX, I would tell them not to do it.

According to our records, your claim was approved 15 days into active coverage and in accordance with the terms of your gold level Deluxe plan using parts of like, kind, and quality. We apologize for any frustration caused by your out of pocket expense on this claim.

I talked to CARCHEX's representative and she was talking okay. So, I just went on with it. There was just one simple mistake that they made. It was a certain part up there that I thought was covered. But it wasn't, and I wasn't told that it wasn't covered. I had a chance to look over my coverage. I called and talked with my representative. And I asked her to send me everything that is covered. When I looked that on that paper, that particular thing was optional. If she explained to me that it was optional, I would’ve added it to the package.
When I called in and try to get it added, the person stated that my coverage was six months old. I could have if I did it within 30 days, but that wasn't told to me either. And when I talked to my representative, she said, “You call and they can add it for you tomorrow.” But when I called, they said they couldn't add it. That was one major setback that I didn't like. That is a pivotal point to the car that I purchased. That something, they mainly go out. But I will recommend someone to CARCHEX.

CARCHEX was one of the only ones that took my vehicle and vehicle mileage. I have a 2003 Mercedes and it's a great car, but it's very expensive to fix and very expensive to keep up. It has 130,000 miles, which is probably the only reason why they decided to do it. They explained the coverage in layman's terms, but they didn't go into detail. When I ask questions, they really didn't have the answers that I needed.

CARCHEX's rep told me that certain parts on my car will be covered, and my deductible would be $100. I asked him to put me on a plan to cover engine, transmission, brakes, and shocks. A few weeks ago, I called to ask them about my shocks being covered and they told me that it wasn’t, so it was a red flag for me. But the rep said as long as I pay my monthly payment, I have $100 deductible on like if my engine went out or some of the stuff on the inside of the car, like electronics and brakes. They had another plan that covered all that. So it jumped my plan up to paying 150 a month, when I could have just been paying 90 bucks for the basic stuff. But signing up and them taking my money was the easiest part of it. I like the peace of mind that I won’t have to pay all that money to get the engine installed.

So far, my experience with CARCHEX has been exactly what they said it was gonna be. I looked at three different companies and called each one of them. The three big factors I used were price, what they covered, and the patience they had to answer all my questions without repeating themselves and actually answering the question. I signed up with CARCHEX.
I had read a lot about CARCHEX online. They started with asking me stuff about my car first, see what my car was eligible for before they even started going through anything. My car wasn't eligible for some of their plans, so their rep said there are some things they wouldn't be able to offer me. So before they went any further, they went with that first. Then, they went over what it means when it says transmission and suspension and what parts are involved with that, and also what it means if you want to do any kind of rider for anything. I have a turbo. So he was like, “Well, we do have turbo, but it’s a rider.” He told me what the extra was to have that put on there. He explained to me about their cancellation and explained if I never used it, at the end of my term, I would be eligible for partial refund on the unused stuff. He went over how to file a claim and told me what the cost would be monthly.

The reps were very helpful and kind when I was signing up with Carchex. The plans were a little pricey but I figured out what they were doing and how old my car is. So, I’m very happy with what they offered and what I'm getting for my money. I didn't want to make payments on it for three years so the rep helped me whittle it down to six months, which was nice. It was a wonderful experience.

I had originally gone with another company who didn’t disclose some information that I felt was relevant so I cancelled that and I went online to compare the different companies. I looked through CARCHEX and I decided that I would go with them. Their customer service was good. They were cheaper for the same coverage and they have a different waiting period. With the first company, I would have had to wait two years for the policy to go into effect because the mileage was so high during the waiting period. I was pleased with the cost and the plan options with CARCHEX. Also, so far, they did what they said they were going to do and I'm happy.

I took the vehicle to the dealership and they checked it out. I had to leave it and then, they called me back and said it was the transmission. I was supposed to pay $100 deductible but I ended up paying 1,300 because the adjuster wanted them to break the transmission down. So, that cost me more money. Plus, I didn’t have a ride to get back and forth to work for a couple of weeks. They should have made sure I got a loaner. I couldn't get any rental car because they were out and the rental car was so high.
Carchex shouldn't have a dealership do something if they make the customer pay for it. If they were gonna put a new transmission, they should have never had them break it down and leave me with the bill. The guy who called was telling me that I needed to make sure that it was right because he didn’t want me to be out any money. So, I called Carchex and they said it wasn’t on me for them to break it down. But then the guy said that he would call to make sure. So he called back and said that Carchex said it would be on me if they break it down.
The dealership replaced the transmission but they tore it down just to see what was wrong with it and made me pay for the tear down. I didn't like that at all. They could have said that they could do half and not make me pay the whole thing. But they made pay the whole thing for something that I didn't want them for to do. I just told them to do it because I didn't want them to think otherwise because I had been getting oil changes all the time. Other than that, everything else was good. But this is gonna make people be out of more money.

On June 14th I bought the policy from Carchex and paid my first month amount. Next day when I came to know that they are only broker and my policy is been owned by someone else. I raised a cancellation request and from that day (15th June) till date, I have send 7 reminders and I just keep getting same reply as cancellation request will be raised and someone will contact you. But till date nothing has moved. I even copied CEO email to my request but nothing moved till date. This is so bad from Carchex and I doubt how they have such a good rating on BBB. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Stay away from this people. If cancellation process is so tedious good luck with the claim as they just keep saying that they are broker if your claim gets rejected.

Carchex didn't do what they said they were gonna do to my car. When I first got the policy, they told me that everything was covered. But when the AC failed on my car, they told me it wasn’t covered. A disaster happened and they were not gonna pay for anything. Their customer service never answer the phone and there was only one person answering the phone at sales. I was on hold for more than two hours. My phone died and I never got in touch with customer service. The policy is due now. This is a new month and I’m not gonna pay for any coverage because I don’t have a car. I have a Mercedes which runs on a lot of electronics and electrical things. It got messed up and they didn’t even try to fix anything. There was no rental car nor coverage.

My mom and I talked to the rep and he gave us the whole package. We asked a couple of times if we could get it lowered and more months on there, and he was able to work with us. We ended up getting the Platinum plan, which is the best one. Carchex had good options.

The rep that I talked to was pretty cool. We went over the policy. He told me what’s gonna be covered and not. But he also told me that if I decide to use the warranty, to make sure the dealership calls them to see if it’s covered before they do anything or pay for anything, or that’ll be out of my own pocket.

The rep took time and told me about the policy, and what he could do and what he couldn’t do. The way he sold the policy, it was his product and it was not like he was working for a company. Everything he told me about the purchasing process, he sent it to me in black and white.

The first plan I had didn't cover electrical things on a car. So I ended up paying out of pocket. I was gonna get rid of Carchex. There was another fellow that I spoke with and I explained to him what I spent. He told me that they had another plan that would cover the cost of electric and other things. He explained everything to me so I signed up for it. I've been paying my money and praying everything be alright and I don't have to use it. People should get it and I'll send them to that same person that I spoke with. I have his number and he made it clear I could call him anytime at any day pertaining to the warranty coverage. So, I would recommend. I'm trying to convince my son to get him to sign up for it.

The reps were real good. The only problem I have is that sometimes they're a little hard to get in touch with. I use this phone to make my payment every month and sometimes, I'd be on hold for a long period of time. But now, I do autopay so I don’t have to do anything. So far, we're really satisfied with our coverage.

I had a bad experience with Carchex. The air condition compressor had to be put in effect. The mechanic was ready and was ready to go but they couldn’t do the work until they get approved. It took Carchex five weeks to get it checked and make an approval. So, I couldn’t use my car. I reached out to them on several occasions and I had a very frustrating experience with them.
Carchex didn’t return a couple of my calls and when they called me, they wanted me to, send proof and the mechanic had to send them a video of the car where the compressor was damaged. Then, they wanted me to bring my car history which has all the maintenance that was done for the last year. There was too much for me to go through just to get something done. My friends knew what I was going through. They were asking what was up with my car and I said that I was still waiting for them to get approval for me to get the car done. I'm in South Carolina and it’s 90 degrees. I don’t have AC and I can't drive anywhere with that.

They were very straightforward with everything. But I did have to haggle with them on the price. They came at me with $180 originally for one vehicle that's older and that doesn't have as much electronics as my other car. With my other car, it was only $120. So I talked to the rep and said that it wasn't right and there was something wrong there. Then a manager got on the phone with me and then finally, they brought the price down substantially. I didn't get the lowest pricing but I got a fair deal.

I was going to tow the car to the shop and when CARCHEX was supposed to get me the tow truck, they were telling me they cover up to $75. Then the tow truck guy said that it was going to cost $150. So due to the fact that CARCHEX only covers up to $75, I had to pay the balance of $75. I told them that I was going less than seven miles and asked why was it so much. They said it was because my vehicle is too low. But I'm driving an Acura MDX and there's no way my vehicle is too low. I feel like it's nonsense for me to pay a balance for my vehicle since everything that's in this vehicle is stock and it’s as is. There's no configuration on this car, so there's no way that it is too low. I got upset and but I didn't bother to pursue anything.

CARCHEX is a little bit cheaper but they don't cover anything. When I got the Toyota, I went and had it checked out. They said at my miles, I needed the transmission flushed. I need this and that. I had to come out $300 and I was paying almost $100 for a warranty when they didn't even help. The person I talked to at the time was nice but if I'm not getting a bumper-to-bumper coverage, then why pay for it when I have to pay 300 and some dollars to get my transmission flushed then I still have to pay them what I'm paying them?

When I had my car in the shop, there was some loophole and CARCHEX didn't pay for the repairs. I'm in for another repair and I was on the phone for 45 minutes on hold most of the time waiting to get a tow. So far, I'm not impressed. But we'll see how the rest of it goes.

Carchex is worthwhile. You got to have coverage. I haven’t used them but I have them. They cover anything that breaks down after you report it and take it to your mechanic. They will call them, and they’d tell them whether they’ll pay for it or not.

I had an AC compressor that needed to be replaced and I had a terrible experience with CARCHEX. I took my car to a GM dealership and then they contacted CARCHEX. Then CARCHEX told me that they were going to use third party parts, which I wasn't aware of in the beginning when I got the contract. I thought it'd be with OEM parts. But then they said the shop wouldn't accept third party parts. It was running around from there. I had to make several calls back and forth. It took a couple of weeks to get the claim finalized. In the end, they went with the OEM parts. If they would’ve just done that in the first place, it would have saved a lot of time, frustration and money on both sides. It was very, very frustrating. I've got other warranties with cars and I've never been through something like this before. I'd never recommend these people to anybody ever to work with.

I have a Dodge Ram pickup and it was getting close to the 36,000-mile unlimited warranty. I looked at getting a Ram product but they require you to go to a Ram dealership. I wanted to have a little bit more flexibility. I went online and looked at CARCHEX and they worked out better for me. We had a little trouble when I gave them my VIN. They pulled up a 6-cylinder truck and mine is an 8-cylinder one. There was some confusion over that for a couple of days. But everything is good now. Having a warranty is important. I’d rather be assured of what my possible liabilities money-wise are.

CARCHEX and their customer service dept seems to never be available and we as customers are unable to reach someone when having an issue or starting/completing the claim process. I have also been waiting for a Month for Auto Shield/Car Chex to fix my vehicle and it’s a constant 24 hour to 48 hour turn around time, which can never be met! Speaking with an adjuster almost appears to be impossible and again call back time frames are never met! If I could give a lower rating than 1 star I would definitely proceed. Car Chex and Auto Shield, DO BETTER! You are losing another customer!

I signed up with Carchex and their rep told me my deductible was going to be $100 and I can go to any major repair shop. If you have a breakdown and if the part is covered, you pay your $100 deductible and it’s fixed. I'm satisfied and I recommend Carchex.

It was a wonderful experience with the rep of Carchex. Came a time I was a little frustrated about the coverage and he was very helpful. I was gonna cancel it because of my financial stuff. I was frustrated and I don't drive that much. It was about trying to reach those 1,000 miles and he set me up on a different plan and gave me two months off.

Signing up with CARCHEX was pretty simple but I didn't like the actual coverage. When I had issues the EVAP canister and something with my fuel purge valve, they said they didn't cover those parts and they didn't fix my car. I didn't have time to argue with them, so I went ahead and bought them myself. Despite that, I was going to keep the coverage. But they were supposed to call me and charge me for the next month, and they never called or charged me. They don't care and I don't know what happened. I paid the first month thing, then after that I didn't hear anything else. So, I just spent money for nothing.

The rep assured me that if I didn't like the policy, I could get my money back right away. I signed up with CARCHEX since you can't get enough information to know what you're getting into unless you sign up. The signing up was easy but I did not stay with them because they said they will use second parts, not new parts. And they have to choose where the car goes. I'd rather pay for the repairs myself. After I cancelled, it took a while but I got the money back and it wasn't as quick as their rep made it sound like.

When I signed up, Carchex had different packages and the reps explained to me. They covered whatever I had wanted covered and I got the powertrain, the most expensive stuff. But I hardly drive the vehicle so I'm just going to cancel it right now with everything going on.

Carchex was one of the best ones with their price ranges. The rep that signed us up was nice and explained the coverage to me.

I purchased Carchex because my car wasn't under warranty anymore. I called their number and I spoke with a guy that seemed nice. I did the payments and three months later, there was something wrong with the car so I brought it to the shop. I was told that was not covered. There was fraud. The guy that I initially spoke with was just fast-talking and didn't give me what I had thought I agreed on. Carchex should be giving me good information and getting stuff. I did not have a good experience with their guy. I'm going to get out of Carchex if I can.

We usually keep cars for 10 to 15 years and I figured a warranty would be a good investment. I had done a little bit of research about different warranties and Carchex was one of the better ones. If we sold the car in six months or in two years or 50,000 miles, the proration was reasonable. The cost of the length of Carchex's coverage was about average. I was told that if I signed up that day on the phone call and we paid it off at an increased rate, we would save several hundred dollars on the overall cost. I am on an automatic payment system and I'm paying a little bit more a month to pay it off ahead of time. I was told I would get a discount for doing that.
I've owned a lot of different cars and extended warranties have always been something important because at probably every other good used car purchase we make, something goes wrong at 60,000 or 70,000 miles that ends up being close to the cost of the warranty coverage. The warranty coverage usually has an expedited process where you call, talk to a person, and they help you resolve it in terms of, “Here's a rental car. Here's the place to go fix it. “ The couple of times that we've had to use extended warranties, it was much easier than trying to pay out of pocket, find a rental car, find a motel, and find a place for service.

I thought Carchex was going to be the best one but I was wrong. I took my car to a shop and they told me the AC compressor was out. Carchex wouldn't cover it until I paid the shop to replace the clutch and the AC compressor, when the AC compressor comes with a new clutch. So, they wanted me to spend over $500 and a new clutch, when the whole AC compressor and everything was about 800. I don’t like anything about their service. It was wrong that I took the vehicle to the shop and they wanted me to spend this extra unnecessary money, when the shop clearly told them that it was an AC compressor.

My daughter's car was out of warranty, and the dealership recommended Carchex. But we were not satisfied. She had two different problems with her car and they wouldn't fix anything. They said it was all wear and tear. One of them caused her to have an accident. They wouldn't cover anything, so we canceled the policy. It was a horrible hassle because they kept telling me, "You have to fill out all this information. Then, you have to send it to us. You can't tell us over the phone." They wanted the mileage and a whole list of stuff. I thought that was really stupid.

I dropped Carchex because where I'm at, they do not cover. I had a problem with my truck yesterday and they couldn’t resolve it. They have nobody in the State of Vermont that services their plans. They told me they had somebody. It’s one of those things where the guy wanted to make a sale, he wanted a commission and he didn’t care. When it came down the line that there was a problem with it, Carchex resolved it. They were honest about it and they are giving me back 100% credit. Their program is great and they straightened everything out. So, it's a good business.

My initial experience with Carchex was all good. But when I cancelled the warranty, that was a pain. I did that because I found a different car. I could cancel the warranty and get some of my money back. It took days to get my refund.

I signed up with Carchex. But then, when they finally sent me the information they said they were gonna send me, it wasn’t what I wanted. The price was high for the service that I was getting. So, I had to cancel it. They sent me an email with the stuff on it to send back. I sent it back and then they refunded me my money back. But they need to be more specific and upfront when people talk to them on the phone. They didn’t really tell the truth. The question that I had for them, they didn’t have a direct answer.

Carchex seemed like the best deal. The lady that I first talked to made me sign up with them. She was really informative, helped me out, and gave me the best deal that she could possibly give. She was really professional and she let me know what was going on. That made me a little bit more comfortable because I’m a little skeptical about a lot of little things.
At one time, I got a call saying that something was wrong with my account. Someone had hacked into my account and I had to switch everything over, so when they went to go get the money out of my account, they were not able to get it. I talked to the young lady and we took care of everything to make sure that everything went well. So far, everything is fine.

Carchex came with my 2018 Ford F-150 when I bought it. I've used it for a claim. I dropped the truck off at the shop and they did everything. I just got a motor that was covered under the warranty. It took a while because you had to have the claim approved. Other than that, it wasn’t bad.

Carchex was the first to have a policy that reached out and was the cheapest that I could find. Setting up the policy was quite pleasant. The rep knew what he was talking about and had my best interest in mind as well. The warranty is definitely worth it. Overall, things went really smoothly with the insurance company. But right now, my car is in another shop seems and my biggest concern is that Carchex seems to be beating around the bush to try to get my claim covered. Both myself and the shop has called several times. I'm currently without my vehicle for almost a week and a half. The shop can't even work on it yet because they don't have any approval.

The guy I spoke with at Carchex was excellent and straight up. He let me know about situations he had had with cars. He had a BMW too. I was looking for the best reasonable price and he gave me a pretty good deal and first time startup. He really helped me out at the time. The only thing was it took a long time for me to get any information after I made my first payment. I thought I was scammed because I never heard and I couldn't ever get back in contact with anybody. But now, they sent me a paper saying my policy number and stuff like that. I'm still trying to figure out when my covers really kick in.

Their plan options were okay. Customer service, I wouldn't give it any super high marks from the standpoint that, when I got the contract in, it had some incorrect information. It wasn't anything critical, but I asked them to correct it. At first, I talked to different people. The first one said they couldn't do it. The second one said they could do it. They sent me another contract, but they didn't make any of the changes to the incorrect data. I was not thrilled about that.

It was easy signing up with Carchex. The rep gave me his contact information. He explained all the differences between all the other people. He said, "Don't let people lie because we're all the same. We're all brokers. The only difference is we use certified LKQ." I used to work in a body shop, so I understood what he was talking about. We were speaking the same language. He told me what wasn't included and he went through the list, which was basic.

This company not only has loopholes in the policy so that they never have to pay for anything but they also take your down payment and your 2 months payment until you figured out it was a ripoff. And they keep your money with no intention on paying it back. I’m now having to get my lawyer involved in this. Avoid these scam artist. No extended warranty will cover you.

According to our records, a silver level Centennial plan was purchased for your 2014 AUDI Q5 on 10/20/2021. The coverage was for 5 Years and 75,000 additional miles.
On 11/29/2021, your repair shop contact the claims administrator requesting to start a claim for the front CV Axles. The repair shop was advised if the failure was to the CV Boots, the contract excludes the coverage to the axle. The repair shop declined to proceed with the claim.
On 11/29/2021 our Customer Loyalty was contacted by you, to discuss cancellation and review the coverage. A new confirmation of purchase email was sent to you for review. We received a follow up call on 12/20/2021, requesting to cancel the coverage. An email with the cancellation instructions was emailed to the email address on file and to a second email address as was requested. The emails requested a written letter to be signed by you to cancel the coverage.
The financing company received a charge back request from your bank for your 12/20/2022 payment of $135.92.
This cancellation request was received on 1/27/2022 and back dated to 12/23/2021. based on time and miles under coverage, and the payment being charged back, there was no prorated refund due in accordance with the terms and conditions of your contract. The refund was calculated based on 2 payments being made and over 5,000 miles driven under coverage.
On 6/8/2022, we received a call regarding your cancellation. The refund statement showing the calculations was emailed to you for review. While on this call with our customer service department, we attempted to discuss the refund with you and you began cursing at our staff, demanding a supervisor, and threatening online reviews. A request for a supervisor call back was entered and a call back was made today 6/10/2022.

First contacted about June 2 or 3 and filled out online contract and thought I had submitted the form. Come to find out that YOU had a problem and the form was not submitted. This is a customer service issue which made me somewhat angry. It makes me wonder how professional you are. Your rep could not backdate the purchase.

Carchex is the most cost-effective on the market right now. There was no pressure with them and they wanted $100 upfront whereas Endurance wanted 270, and it said refundable anytime. Brandon was the guy who helped me out and he was very confident and easy going. Hopefully, I'll never have to use Carchex but I feel confident in him that I could get the job done through them. I’m gonna give them another one of our cars this coming weekend. I'm gonna put another car on it this week too.

I just put in my online order with CARCHEX yesterday. I started off online. I ended up getting a call from the guy. He helped me get through the paperwork. I filled it out and gave him my debit card, and he took the money and sent it through. He was 100% great. He’s the reason why I did it. I had my last couple of dollars, and I said, "You know what? Let me do that." And I feel I made a good choice by doing so. I got a package deal. The first one for the engine transmission, the heat, the AC. I had to pay $118.

On getting the account set up with Carchex, it was okay and good. It seems to cover all the mechanical things and I read it and I'm satisfied with it. Being an accountant, what I was most concerned about is I'm paying almost $3,600 over a three-year period for a 60,000-mile extension. I thought, "What's the maximum payout on this?" It was a little over 15,000 and that's okay. If they were only gonna pay 3,600, I thought, "I don't want this." But 15,000, they still got me. I'm still with them.

I just enrolled with Carchex. I had them previously for a different car. Their contract prices are good. Their claim process also seemed easy. They went through the car shop and I really didn't have to do anything but pay the deductible. My experience with them is good. That's why I went back with them because I've had other car warranties that gave me the runaround when it was time to make a claim.

CARCHEX has been confusing in the beginning because they did the wrong car. I wanted one car. I ended up doing two, but it cost too much. So, I had to reiterate, call early this morning, and talk to them to see what they could do because the payment was too much. They straightened it out. I ended up signing for three years to get these payments down, to get both cars covered. One is two shades into being an antique, but it's very old. That's the one I wanted out front. Unfortunately, they put the wrong car upfront, which made me go back and straighten it out. But they have me a bargain. They told me that they would reduce it from 2 something to 167. But I haven’t got the packet.
This is my second day, and I’m looking to get a refund of the money they took. They took 200 and some odd dollars out for the two cars. And when I narrowed it down this morning, it came to 150 some odd dollars. Also, they said that I could have one of the cars towed ASAP, roadside service. But the morning after I called, I was on hold for a long time. I’m still trying to find who can tow one of my cars. But the representatives were good.

I searched for other ones and I figured that CARCHEX would be the best one. Their customer service was great when I called in. As long as I put the thing in online, they called me ASAP, and the customer service was good. I had my oil changed last month. I wanted to ask them what they cover if anything was to go wrong because I didn't get a chance to ask them on the phone. But the person I spoke with was very friendly.

I chose Carchex because I went by what I felt about the person with whom I was speaking, how helpful I thought they were, how much information they were giving, and how well they listened to what my needs were. Also, they didn't keep calling me every day and I also looked at the price. The purchase was no problem at all. I put it on my debit card over the telephone. I don't like people going into my account and taking money out. I like to pay myself even if I do it online and the rep gave me an alternate way of doing that. I liked the fact that I have that option.

I called the number for authorization of a repair and they were closed. Seems like you are not easy to get hold of as your representative told me. I needed brakes for a trip we were taking and because I couldn’t get authorization I had to pay the bill myself. You should have a hour line that can be reached. Unfortunately cars aren’t on a 9 - 6 schedule when They need care.

I bought a Chevrolet Tahoe and I got it straight from the dealership. They work with just one warranty, and the one they sell is $2,400 for 24,000 miles. There was no other option, and I always knew that I was getting a bad deal with the warranty I had because it was the one that the dealership pushes automatically to go through to customers.
Carchex was really helpful. I stayed on the phone half an hour with them, getting over everything, but it was good. At the beginning, I was getting a two-year warranty and it was 24 payments, but the guy I talked to made a mistake. A manager called me back and said, "Oh, so we cannot divide the 24 months of warranty to 36. It's going to be 24. But I'm gonna make you a good deal." He offered me a third year so I can divide it in 36 payments. Instead of 3,600, it was 4,000 and I ended up taking the 4,000 one that he offered me. It was a lot more than I was getting and it wasn't that much money.
The warranty the Chevrolet dealership would have offered me would have been 40,000 miles, three years. Carchex gave me 50,000 miles, three years. I got much more in miles with Carchex, and everything's been great as far as the deal and the payment. I already paid the first month. Also, when I bought my warranty, they offered to send me a $50 gift card in the mail if I told a friend and he bought a warranty for his car.

After reviewing the terms of the contract, I learned that CARCHEX offers service contracts and not a warranty. Tons of loopholes and caveats for them not to pay. When asked specific questions, they could not clearly answered what would be covered and what is not.

According to our records, we discussed a Titanium level exclusionary coverage commonly referred to as "bumper to bumper" coverage. Exclusionary coverage is the highest level of coverage because it covers all of the mechanical components of the vehicle except a short list of excluded components, cosmetic items, and basic maintenance.

Carchex is a good business to get involved with. The rep was very good with the information that he gave me. The previous one that I was doing was with Endurance and they were charging me 80 some dollars a month. The rep with Carchex wanted to make sure it was comparable to that. I'm satisfied to a point because when I looked at the package and when we were talking about it, he said it was gonna be 80 some dollars a month. Carchex had called me and at the time, I told the rep I was not making my decision right here. The guy, at first, was kinda pushy but I kept telling him no. But he had given me the best quote. He told me it was only gonna be $35 a month. I called him back and when I got back on the phone, he said $35 month wouldn’t even cover my windshield wipers. It was 100 a month. The Better Business Bureau gave Carchex an A-plus rating, which was important to me. Even though the guy was kinda pushy that day, he gave me more information than anybody else that I spoke to would give me over the phone without me trying to make a commitment. When I called back, it was so easy to sign up. I got everything taken care of right into the driver's seat of my car. I would recommend Carchex to friends, family, and everybody.

Carchex had a good platinum package that I liked. I got it and the rep was very helpful. He went into detail about what it was gonna cover. He answered all the questions that were asked. He did a good job. However, I don’t think I have a payment plan set up. I would like to have it set up to where I don’t have to worry about it. I'm on the road, and I don't like to keep up with a lot of things.

Carchex has been around the longest and it was good with the rep. They lowered the price a little bit to compete with another place. They sent me the contract and everything that it covers. It's pretty much a bumper-to-bumper coverage.

I have had my policy for 3 to 4 months then cancel it because I got rid of the car and it's taken over 2 months and I still don't have my refund and I was treated with total disrespect by their customer service representative. It was absolutely horrible. We'll never do business with this company again.

Devon ** made two false claims, one is that car shield will not approve what is on the contract compared to CARCHEX. After doing research I learned the underwriter for both companies is the same, and carchex is not who approved my repairs, the underwriter is. Also I was told to cancel my policy I would only have to call him back within 30 days to cancel my policy. That too was a lie.

Our staff attempted to point out these differences to you prior to your cancellation.
With regards to the cancellation process, an email was sent to you with the cancellation instructions outlining the required information needed, once you pass the 30 days of the waiting period. You were instructed to reply to the email only, as you were within the 30 day money back guarantee. However, you chose to mail the written request to the contract administrator instead.

I wanted the Carchex because on their brochure, I could choose my own dealer. I can go to a Nissan dealership or somebody that's reputable that can fix the truck if it needs to be fixed. The rep was very polite when we went through all of the information. He worked with me in terms of the discounts that I could get after I told him I was a veteran’s spouse and a senior citizen. However, I thought they would take the first payment out here in May. But on this paper, it's got June 10th.

I chose CARCHEX because the rates and the package were a little better when I did my research. I had CarShield before and they had a lot of stipulations on what you could use it for. CARCHEX was just a little better on that. The customer service rep was great too. I just got this warranty last month and I have to switch it from one car to the next. I just sold the car that I actually had it on.

I had been with another company for the last five years on another vehicle I had, and their coverage was minimal. Even though it paid off one time, I was looking around for something else. When I got on Consumers, I found Carchex had a little better rating, so I called them. They were polite, prompt, weren’t pushy and specified what they covered well. That means a lot. I don’t like those pushy outfits that’s constantly trying to sell, sell, sell. They were true to fact, to the point and that was the reason I went along with them.
Their quote was too high, and within a few minutes, roughly got down from $126 to $92 a month. All of them do that trick where they get into that game of playing this way and that. I talked to a few others but none of the others really came close to what I was getting from the company I got now. With Carchex, I got a much better coverage, bumper-to-bumper for 100,000 miles, and I hope it works out well. If they held true to what they said they're gonna do, I'd be very happy because I bought an older handicapped vehicle for my wife and traded off my newer vehicle to get this.

The company that I had a contract with before stopped selling the service contracts and recommend Carchex. I called the phone number that I was given and ended up getting Mr. Murray. He was courteous and covered most of the facts that were in there. Signup was fairly easy, but the only thing I got in the email was no welcome package. It was just an indication from Murray about the contract. It's been a month, and he kept saying I’ll get the paperwork in the mail. I'm back in Ohio, and I still don't have any paperwork yet. I'm starting to worry, ‘cause this is $2,300 I'm out, and I don't know if this is legitimate or not. I just left the agent that sold me the package a voice message this morning.

Carchex was a trusted provider and signing up with them was a pretty good process. I was just a little taken aback. The sales rep seemed to know more than the manager did because I asked a specific question about my radiator being covered. The sales rep said yes and the manager said no. I got a copy of the policy, and it said yes.
The only difference that I found with Carchex is they provide preventative maintenance. If a mechanic says, "The next 5,000, 10,000 miles, this is gonna go out," they will actually replace it as opposed to waiting for it to go out. Other than that, the $100 deductible seems to be pretty in line with what everybody else has. So far, Carchec is good.

I've had kind of a difficult experience with CARCHEX. When I signed up, my car didn't have any issues but then it started shuddering. I got it diagnosed and they denied my claim because they said the check engine light didn't come on. They wouldn't fix it. After that, when I went to make the payment again, they told me it was too late to get back with the same company. Now, even though I filed the claim, I can't get my car fixed. I was paying monthly for a service that I can't even use because the new underwriter that they gave me won't cover the repair because it's a preexisting condition. It's a weird situation to be in. But the rep I spoke to, Craig, was very nice. He said the claim on CARCHEX's end was still open.

According to their records, a transmission claim was called in due to a reported shudder when accelerating. Your repair shop advised they believed there was an issue with the torque converter but that the vehicle was not reporting any codes typical of this type of failure. The claim was filed 81 days and 1724 miles from the purchase of the policy.
The administrator sent a 3rd party inspector to verify the concerns and determine if there was a mechanical failure. The inspector went on a test drive and verified there were no codes reported during the test drive. Based on this information, the administrator denied the claim as no verified failure based on the terms and conditions of the contract.
According to our records, the old policy was cancelled by the finance company and a new plan was purchased. Your new plan was purchased 4/2/2022 and includes a new waiting period of 30 Days and 1000 miles. Any new failures to eligible components occurring after the waiting period can be called in.

I asked the man to send me a copy of the policy so I could read it first and they wouldn't do it. I got it a couple of days ago and after I read it, I would have never bought it. I should have read it first. It's a phony setup, too. They're not anybody and the dealerships in my area won't even accept it because they're such slow paying. When you go on their website, the policy that I was buying is not even listed. It’s a six-year policy, 100,000 miles and it's not on the website. I'm just supposed to take their word for it. It says it has rental car. It would be four days before they would ever even authorize a repair and they only pay $40 a day. So, it's all smoke and mirrors.
The policy that Carchex sells has got so many exclusions in it that it's not worth the risk because they can turn me down for anything in the world. I was in the business for 13 years and I service my own vehicle. And if I had a failure, and I don't have a receipt for every time I changed my own oil and purchased oil, they can decline the claim. So, I’m canceling the policy. I'm in the process and they’re making it as difficult as possible.

The rep tried to down-talk every other warranty company and make it seem like they were the best. That's one of the main things I didn't like with CARCHEX. A week or so later, I attempted to make a cancellation and the rep refused to cancel.

The purchase process went pretty well. But I don't agree with having to pay three grand for something the warranty. But the payment is reasonable and the rep explained that to me really quickly. He told me what it would be for the next 24 months. He told me my plan covers my car and if I sell it, I can transfer my plan to whoever buys my car or to another vehicle.
If I don't like the way people are talking to me, I hang up. But the rep was a good guy. He called me as soon as I bought my car and I told him, “I'm on the road right now. I can’t talk to you. I just bought the car. I got to drive all the way back home now.” And he's like, “All right. Well, I can give you a call.” And then he followed up asking, “Is this a good time?”.

We had two cars that we wanted and we thought CARCHEX would be a good warranty. But found that it was not the one that we wanted. We had a bad experience with them. It's hard to get in touch with them, especially with warranty people. I personally stayed on phone for about an hour and a half and see if I can get anybody. They also didn’t warranty what they said. I thought they would cover more than what bumper-to-bumper should have covered. But no. We dropped them. I have about four months and I lost out by about $1,000 worth. That's what I ended up paying. We had to take the money out of pocket to get the car at the shop. I’m not very pleased with CARCHEX. It’s an awful brand and I will not get them again. I would advise anybody not to get them.

The administrator reported receiving a call from your repair facility on 4/7/2022 requesting approval for Brake Pads and Rotors and the Canister Purge Solenoid. These repairs were denied as both are excluded from your coverage.

The salesperson that I had made me feel very comfortable. He presented everything and the way he was explaining was very simple. It took about a week for me to make the purchase and that was because of my schedule and his schedule. I didn't want to speak to anybody else, so I was waiting for him.

I studied all the different warranty companies on the open market and decided Carchex was reputable and that they were good. Devin was my rep and his superior was James. They were very professional and they explained everything that needed to be explained in detail. They did this a couple of times over and over. They answered everything I needed them to answer. I got the basic coverage just to cover the vehicle in case something happens.

It's been almost a month since I signed up and I have not received my contract in the mail. I get 30 days to cancel but I have not had an opportunity to read through the details of what I signed up for. I called and supposedly the confirmation email had the contract. It does not! You lie. I feel like you are stealing from me. I need to call tomorrow to cancel because I don't have a clue what I signed up for!

Carchex had the best price for the options I needed. There's about a $200 difference in price compared to other companies. Also, Carchex's engine transmission part caught my interest. I liked my rep from there too. The only thing I'm not happy about is I haven't gotten my policy yet.

The purchasing process with Carchex was good. I talked with the salesperson and he helped me out and gave me a quote. I talked to him before I got the car and I sat on it for three days. He called me back and left me a message, and I called him back. He said he was gonna give me the same price that we talked about. I can make payments and it won't charge me extra. I talked to the reps on the phone and gave the mileage on the car. They told me what they covered and I liked it better than the other guy. So, I signed up with Carchex and they sent me a thing in the mail. Some companies didn't want to offer electrical services but Carchex did even though it was little less miles than some of the other ones for the mechanical side. They gave me the best overall warranty for my wife's car. So far, everything has been fine and I would recommend them.

The rep knows how to talk to people and how to represent the company and himself. He was the main reason why I chose Carchex. The agent was very compelling. I told him that I was working with another provider, and he mentioned, "Well, have you done any reviews?" I said, "No." He said, "Take a look at their Better Business Bureau and just kind of understand where they are." That was a very telling sign. However, Carchex gave the appearance that they provided one price then I pushed back and said, "This is what I'm willing to pay." They were able to meet me, which gave me some pause. Why would they offer a higher rate when it's negotiable? It was a bit of a concern. I just received the paperwork two days ago, and I may be canceling that service.

I got a 2013 Hyundai Sonata and it didn't have but 87,000 miles on it. So, I wanted to have an extended warranty. I had looked at several different ones and I had narrowed it down to Endurance and Carchex. Endurance offered a little bit whistles and bells more, but Carchex was cheaper. The enrollment process with them wasn’t too awful hard. I’m on disability and the payment is 70 some dollars a month.

If you want a warranty, use Carchex. They seem to be a reputable company. I found them on the internet five years ago and insured a car with them. I sold that car, and they gave me a pro-rata refund. I used the warranty once, and it helped me. They had good service when I called. I called them back this time when I needed to add a warranty to my van. I wanted the top coverage I could get for the vehicle. It’s 127,000 miles and I'm trying to prevent any major expenses, as long as it'll last me.
Carchex listed what came with the package that my vehicle qualified for based on age and mileage. They wanted for me to pay everything upfront, but I needed to break it into payments and the gentleman who signed us up was able to do that. He told me, verbally, the different coverages. However, he wasn’t as patient as he could be when we were trying to decide whether or not we could pay them all that at once. He should have been a little easy on us during that process.

The contract price is already incredibly expensive, but then I receive the contract and see in the fine print that I have to cover the diagnostic charge, as well as all costs over 100 per hour. I was also not told that coverage wouldn't begin until 30 days after signing up. The car is a bmw and there are no mechanics anywhere near me that charge this low of a price. I called to cancel (I'm still within the 30 days) and the first time I called the call was dropped after waiting for 5 minutes. I tried calling several other times and the call doesn't even connect. It's just dial tone.

I compared several different options and CARCHEX had a lower monthly rate. I was looking at a deal offered directly through Ford but I could only use Ford dealers, unlike CARCHEX where I could go almost anywhere. Customer service explained everything clearly. CARCHEX has different payment options and different programs. I didn't want to do a monthly payment, which was what the other company that I called had. The only thing with this warranty is I didn't like the additional cost. But I understand they have to do it because of the risk that they're taking because mine was a salvage title. I was glad that CARCHEX offered coverage to a salvage title. When purchasing a warranty, make sure about what's covered and what's not covered and if there's a deductible, how much the deductible would be.

The rep that I dealt with was real great. He was knowledgeable on a lot, too. Instead of just telling me, "Hey, this price and this here," he broke everything down to me. He transferred me to a supervisor. He kind of went over my financial information and I explained to him my account, my life and how I juggle the bills. Then he lowered my payments down by stretching my money out. So that was great. The price was lower compared to others.

When I had a claim, they paid for the claims. But I called to cancel one of the policies I have because I sold the car. They sent me everything I need to cancel but it’s not finished yet. I just sent in the paperwork. But I like Carchex. They follow through on everything, and that’s what I have them for and that’s why I keep coming back. So if I get a used car, I go to CARCHEX. Every now and then, I might have to stay on the phone a little too long, but it is what it is.

I've had a great experience with Carchex, so far. I've been with them for years and recently renewed my warranty with them. The service hasn't been excellent, but good enough to stay with them. I plan to stay with them as long as they allow me. There have been some slowdowns, a few hiccups, but they were all ironed out. They could improve the speed when their adjusters come out though. There were a few times when they took several days, and the car was in the shop waiting on the adjuster to come out.

I hadn't had CARCHEX long enough to file a claim. But it became an issue to see what they covered or to be able to ask any questions about what I saw that's being covered. They didn't say the exact words. I called them last week to cancel my policy but they have not gotten back with me. When I was on the phone with them, they put me on hold but the rep told me, "Give your number and everything, and we'll call you back. You won't lose your place in line." I never received a phone call. But when it's time for them to collect their money, I hear from them.

My customer service rep wasn’t pushy and was understanding about what I was looking for. I’d shop with him again. I wanted full coverage, as much as I could get, because I have an older model. A lot of places aren’t necessarily trying to cover everything. I needed engine and transmission coverage because that was the issue with my old car. The process with CARCHEX was easy, straightforward, and simple. I appreciate that. They were willing to negotiate. The wiggle room that they had was one of the selling points. I got the welcome packet a couple of days ago.
