My rep Stan ** gave outstanding service. He worked patiently through at least 5 phone calls in a 2 week span with me as I was suspicious in dealing with extended warranty companies from the start. He gave info to me as to the inner workings of these contracts and what to be aware of when deciding. He answered my questions openly and honestly while never pressuring for a sale. I hope the execution of the contract goes as well but at least I now know a great deal about the industry thanks to Stan and know exactly what I am getting and how it should be applied.

I have been thinking about using CARCHEX for an extended vehicle warranty for some time now, and finally decided to do it. I am very glad that I did make this choice because I could never be 100% sure that nothing would go wrong with my vehicle. Living on a fixed income would greatly limit my ability to afford the higher cost of certain replacement items.

The Better Business Bureau called in regards to the company I had purchased my warranty through and had used for about six months. I felt leery so I started looking at other companies and decided to go with CARCHEX because they didn't have bad reviews on the BBB. The representative was very knowledgeable in helping me find what warranty suited my needs. I received my policy promptly as promised, and it looked very legit unlike the one from the other warranty company. I'm very satisfied but I've not had any issue to need to utilize the warranty and see if it is honored.

Customer service was excellent when I call to renew my coverage. I been with the company the last 3 to 4 years and I renew my coverage for another 3 to 4 years. Great job.

I had to call CARCHEX three times to get them to respond to the repair and once they certified everything and said "okay, we will go ahead and cover everything", they never called back to give the contractors their money. I was sitting for two hours waiting on them to call back and they called 5:00 o'clock central time. So, I wrote a check for the full amount of the payment for the work they did because they took all day. Now, I don't know how it's going to work. If they going to send the contractors the check for $70 and then I get that back together with my $100 deposit. I ought to get back $170. I'm paying $125 a month for their service and if they're going to do warranties they need to do it. This is the first time I've used it and I wish they would give me a little more attention and proactive about my concern of taking care of the company.

An extended coverage warranty is very valuable and since the dealership recommended it, I bought it. Purchasing a warranty from CARCHEX was very easy, and their protection specialist was able to answer all my questions.

I like my extended warranty from CARCHEX because it's a good deal. But one thing that bothers me is that in the book that they sent me with the deal, it says that the coverage isn't allowed in California. So if something went wrong with my engine in California, that wouldn't be of any use to me at all.

Purchased a warranty that was told would cover any issues with the transmission on my 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV and when it broke down would not cover the part that controlled the transmission rendering my Escalade useless and not covered. And not covering part of anything that goes wrong with my transmission. Talking with family attorney and with administration of CARCHEX, no make it harder to get a warranty due to mileage and now pre-existing issue on what was not covered because Cadillac won't drive properly.

My experience with CARCHEX was excellent. I only have one month with them but it has been good. When I signed in, there was a guy and he was very awesome. Everything was perfect.

I absolutely recommend CARCHEX to a friend. I have a Mercedes and, of course, getting the extended coverage policy would be $3 in another car, but like 300. Purchasing the plan from CARCHEX was pretty easy and my experience with the protection specialist was good. Hopefully, I won't have to use the policy but it's a little bit expensive. If I have the policy for six months and spend $800 on it but I don't need any repairs, it's a waste of $800. My warranty on my Honda ran out and it's got a lot of the newfangled electronics in it so I got the extended warranty from CARCHEX. I put something out on the internet and they responded to it and I told her I wasn't ready at that time because I still had a couple thousand miles and plenty of time left to my existing warranty and they were fine with that. Then when it was time, I told them, "I'm ready." So we did the purchase and it was pretty easy. I don't have any problems with them.

But today, I'm not very happy with them. I was told two different types of information when I signed up initially. At first, they said that my December payment would be pushed back until January. But I got a letter yesterday saying that they went through my account in December, they didn't get a payment, and so I need to make a payment today else my policy will cancel.

I had CARCHEX on my truck that I traded in before I bought this vehicle. I had such a positive experience with them that it was a no-brainer why I'd choose them again. My recent purchasing experience was pleasurable. The specialist wasn’t pushy. He allowed me to check their coverage with other vendors. When I told him about another vendor that was cheaper, he would check and say, “Hey, they are registered but they just don’t have the experience we have and so you can run the risk of having something go down and it not be covered or go with the company that you’ve got experience with that’s been in business” and at the end of the day it made sense for me to stick with CARCHEX even though they were a little higher than the new guys on the block. I'd recommend them without a doubt.

Being fair in my comment, I was told I would receive a policy statement and policy number in an email. So far I have not received anything. I have 28 days left to decide if I want to keep this policy or cancel the whole thing and search for another company.

Just in case some problems may happen with my car, I got an extended coverage for it from Carchex. Their protection specialist assisted me thoroughly when purchasing the plan. I would recommend Carchex.

I send Jordan an email when I found out about a financial situation I had encounter. I asked that my policy be cancelled. My policy was placed on January 7 and I call back late that night no answer. So I sent an email, two in fact. I did receive a call from a manager and I called him back. I received an email from Jordan and he gave me the wrong number. Still waiting for the refund. Jordan is a very good Sales Person and if I did an extended warranty again. I would want him to handle my policy. Thank you.

I got in touch with Carchex about a month or two ago and gave me a price which I thought was too much, but they kept hounding me. So I finally got online and looked up extended warranties. Then I found out that CARCHEX was the number one or close to number one extended warranty company that there are. So I called them and decided to take it out with them. And, purchasing the protection plan was easy and their protection specialists assisted me and answered, to my satisfaction, all my questions on different warranty coverages and the costs. But one thing that worries me is that I've had some people tell me that some of the warranty people try to get out of paying for it when something goes wrong.

It’s like investing now for my future. I had thought I’d initially go with a different warranty that the auto dealership was giving me but it didn’t cover everything like CARCHEX warranty did. I did my homework and I found CARCHEX from the BMW website. Their salesman was great, even when I told him I didn’t think I was going to go with them. I didn’t call him back for a whole month but he was wonderful. He explained everything to me and he even offered to look at the other plan just to make sure that I was getting a good policy for what I needed to cover the vehicle. He was very helpful.

My wife wanted me to get this extended warranty - although I do not think I will need it because I already have warranty left on the car and the car is in better than excellent condition. I think it is a great plan, but don't think if you have a perfect auto you really need it. But, we have it, just to make her happy, lol. I will, and would ordinarily recommend this type warranty to others, unless they buy a used car that is so terribly brand new and well taken care of... then it's sort of a waste of money - which isn't good.

I bought a vehicle with limited coverage, since I wanted to extend it in case something happens, I decided to acquire one for my car. I went with CARCHEX because they seemed to have decent ratings and they were able to immediately give the answers I needed at the time. Purchasing the plan was fine. Afterwards, that is where I have the issue. I told them that I wanted to move my payment dates towards the end of the month and that I had some further questions in regards to the extended warranty. I contacted the rep through phone and email but never had replies. I also did receive my package in the mail confirming that I have a warranty. I tried calling the general customer service to get answers to my questions but I'm not satisfied with what they are giving me.

I always get extended warranty for all of my vehicles, then a friend recommended CARCHEX to me, so I gave them a call. Talking with the protection specialist went pretty well. Everything was explained. After a couple of calls, I fully knew exactly how everything works.

Over a year ago My son bought a 2004 F-250 diesel with 86,000 miles on it. I encouraged him to purchase an aftermarket warranty so as not to get saddled with high repair costs. Well since he bought the warranty there have been transmission issues that they refused to cover, fuel injection control module, glow plug harness, fuel injector, and more all totaling thousands of dollars. Now they are refusing to cover the fuel lines because they say they have rust on them? They are on the bottom of the vehicle, how does one prevent that? They are also not covering the e-brake which is a 1700.00 part. They have done nothing but find loophole after loophole to not cover what should be covered parts. Wear and tear? Rust? Previously installed part? We paid extra to pay for diesel and four wheel drive coverage.

My car was out of warranty and I realized that the potential repairs could be pretty expensive so I got extended coverage from CARCHEX. I saw some of the reviews online and decided to go with them. The purchase was quick though I did ultimately cancel the plan because I saw through a few blogs that Mercedes dealers were notorious for not accepting third party warranty plans and when I asked they said that CARCHEX was one of them - neither the dealers in our area would accept their plan. I haven't had to utilize the coverage but as far as the customer service goes, I definitely recommend Carchex.

After 7 months my Honda Civic started making a rattle at startup. I took it to 3 different mechanic (most people don't accept Carchex) turns out the timing chain was stretched and needed to be tightened. The vehicle also needs valves and seals since it is burning a little oil... They do not cover valves and seals because it is a wear item. They will not cover the timing chain or anything related to oil loss. (This contradicts the terms and condition that they cover all lubricated parts.) I paid 6 months of warranty and got nothing. They will say anything to deny your claim. All the hassle... and all taxis and car rentals came out of my pocket. Don't waste your money!!

Carchex did a good job in general. The salesperson I usually deal with and the sales process of Carchex have been good too. Everybody has been polite and they answered my questions. I was trying one time to get somebody to go over and do an estimate or a checkup on a car, but I had a lot of trouble with that and I could never get that established. Even so, I’ve had good experiences with them and they’ve been very fair. My bank account didn’t have the money to take out the payment, but they still worked with me. I had an $8,000 claim that they paid or tried to pay right away on my 2005 BMW to replace the drive shaft. Thank God I had the policy because if I didn’t have it, I probably wouldn’t be driving that car today.

I plan to stay a little bit longer with my car, but I don't want to spend about $600 or $700 to repair a transmission or change it. With the extended warranty, I can take it to the Ford dealer and they check it out with no charge. If they charge me, it would be less than what I would be paying outside.
