My warranty expired. My vehicle is in perfect shape, and I want to keep the car. I'm a person who takes care of the vehicle all the time. I’ve had warranty in all my cars, going back to 1964, and I’ve only used a warranty one time. Toyota told me to call CARCHEX because I wanted to pay monthly and they didn't have a program that does that. The gentleman from CARCHEX that I spoke to was good, precise and very bright about what he was offering. I was told that they’re rated one of the top ones and that they take care of everything that’s on the contract. My only concern is that I was expecting to receive what they quote my papers, and I haven’t received anything. I haven’t even received paperwork for my next monthly bill.

I had no problem with the man I spoke with, he answered my questions but it took about two weeks for me to receive the pamphlet which I was supposed to get right away. I only had about two weeks to look it over and check it out. There were a lot of things I couldn't do and too many loopholes in the plan. I did have an alteration made to the truck. They said, "Well, we're not going to take care of that because it's not factory authorized." Even though the factory said that's fine. It's a better deal - the truck will last longer. It was another way of them getting out of paying any claims. It's up to me whether I'm going to take care of it or not so I cancelled. I would not recommend it to anybody I like.

Again they diagnosed a bad starter. So here we go again trying to get approval from Carchex. They did not call back Friday and now closed for a long weekend. So today back on the phone. After speaking with several people the last person promised me she would call me back today! Guess what it's 6:30 no phone call. This is not what they promised me when they sold me the warranty. I have taken off work 3 days. No car for 15 days now. This is ridiculous. I'm more than mad! Looking into my next step.

I got the Titanium level coverage so I got more of everything. For a few extra dollars more, I was able to add high-tech gadgets in my car which the Titanium didn't cover. Currently, we're still in the process of making the changes. Someone's supposed to call me back this afternoon, but no one's called yet. I'm still waiting for the paperwork to cancel one policy so I can start with another. That part's a little confusing because just by adding some on, I have to cancel all policies and start all over again. But overall, it's been good with CARCHEX and I'd recommend them to others.

The coverage sounds ok so far but you have to drive 1000 miles before you can get coverage on your vehicle. I think it should be less than that because if you do not drive 1000 miles over a six month of time, you still do not get coverage. So you paying for coverage that you cannot use until you reach the thousand mile mark, I think it should be less than that.

I had a good experience signing up with CARCHEX. Everything worked out fine and I’d recommend them, however I was concerned and I wanted to ask the rep if I’m going to get a payment book to send the payments in.

Once I said, "Okay, thank you for the information," the first sales guy was fine with that. But the second sales guy called me on a regular basis, which was annoying because it was my cellphone number that I use for work that he was using. I'm a surgeon and that cellphone is used as a call phone for people who have surgical problems or consultations. The second guy ended up getting the sale, which is sad because he was too pushy. But I needed coverage, so I went ahead and got the plan, but I wish I could have given the sale to the first salesperson who wasn't so annoying.

He said, "You have to start over your coverage and you have to give us another down payment." It was the worst experience ever. He wasn't telling the management, which I requested to speak with, that he put in the wrong PIN number, and it was the wrong coverage on the wrong car so I had to start over my coverage. They lowered the monthly payment by $77, which was okay, but I shouldn't have to wait 30 days to use my coverage and pay another thousand dollars when it was their guy's error. Other than that, they were good.

My car to be without warranty is like putting my life at risk, in case anything happened. The money you pay doesn't matter, it's better for me to do the extended coverage. The information was online and the salesperson I talked to was well-informed so it was an easy decision to sign up with them when I got all the facts together. Also, my original warranty had expired about a year ago and having an extended warranty is valuable. I know that in years past I’ve had the extended warranty protection – it certainly paid off on one vehicle. Insurance is insurance, and I usually don’t carry it on appliances or electronics. But my cars are technical. I haven’t had any problems with them in the past, but I like to have the insurance in place. Being a major investment, it’s well-worth insuring it for things that might come up.

Personally I think your $3000 more than the other companies that have offered me the same coverage, same deductible in the same waiting. The others were 800 to thousand dollars for the same coverage -- five years, hundred thousand mile warranty.

I did some extensive research on extended vehicle protection plans and companies, and I must say, CARCHEX really did everything they could to earn my business. Even discounting my plan because another competitor had made an offer for a cheaper rate with them. I contacted several companies and got several quotes, but CARCHEX definitely earned my business. I obviously haven't had file any claims and use the plan, and honestly, I hope I don't have to. But in the event I do, I will comment about how that goes.

Carchex has resolved my claim to my satisfaction. The VP contacted me directly to apologize and resolve all of my issues. Apparently, Carchex works with a sister company who is the one that was handling my claim to my dissatisfaction.

I purchased the Sentinel Plan 2 months ago, on my way to work my car started but wouldn't move. I called CarChex Direct and it took about an hour, but they had my SUV towed to the shop of my choice. 8 days later I have a rebuilt trans and transfer case and fixed drive train.
