I have a 2011 Taurus and it's running good right now. Cars are running good while they're new but I better get something in case something goes wrong, so I got a a coverage from Carchex. Purchasing the plan was great and they have wonderful people there.

Back in the end of 2009, I bought a 2010 Ford Expedition and at that time, I also bought an extended warranty which went for six years for 72,000 miles that would expire this December. Everything in that car is under the policy – power windows, AC/heater – the whole nine yards. I know repairs would be very costly on that so in order to try and keep it down, I looked for an extended warranty that would pick-up any of the repairs that might have to be done on it and ended up going with CARCHEX being “the most coverage” as it’s almost like a bumper-to-bumper type of warranty. The purchasing experience with CARCHEX was okay. However I had to cancel the policy because my trucks got a plow on it, a straight exhaust, a chip in it and it's the way I bought it. They didn't tell me any of that until I got the documentation telling me that they won't cover anything on the vehicle if it's like that. CARCHEX policy is perfect – excellent deal, but it cost me 5 grand to get my truck back to start and I like the way it is. The experience was good overall. Any dissatisfaction is over the price. I was tough on this issue but I am a realist and understand that the cost is based on vehicle age -- my 1997 Jaguar XK8. I’m dissatisfied with my experience with CARCHEX. I already paid it last month and I haven't gotten my papers yet or any kind of acknowledgement of being issued to anything. My car has a popping sound whenever I turn and they told me it’s the rack and pinion, and not the wheel bearing and my tire rods. So we fixed the rack and pinion and it’s still making the same sound. The technician said, “Ma’am, I’m going to look at it again. It’s your rack and pinion side”. It came out of my pocket again. Then something else went wrong after they fixed it, and it had to come out of my pocket four times. I was highly pissed off that my warranty didn’t cover it. I like to have coverage and was looking online and saw CARCHEX. Their specialists were courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. I haven't really read over the plan but I'm happy with them so far.
