    I live in the country and drive close to 60,000 miles per year so my car can easily have mechanical failure. Hence, I needed coverage for it since the car is one of the most important things I need to have to do my job.     Wow I always have a warranty on my car. I like the fact I don't have to worry about not having money and my car needing to be repaired. With that being said I remember a time I have a Dodge Durango with a extended Dodge warranty and got screwed with a factory warranty how they went bankruptcy, so I have had my experience with a lot of different aftermarket and factory warranty but since I find CARCHEX I never been happier with service I get all the way around. I had them on a few cars of mine and I tell all my friends how you can count on them.

    I had a 2002 Trans Am and the factory speakers went bad. I was shocked that the warranty covered them. 235 for factory 6x9. It was great on another car. I think I made one payment and the needed repair. I was thinking they will find a reason not to cover the cost or ask me to pay that amount in but once again no problem. Paid my 50 deductible and I was green to go. I will never look again for a warranty company. Always so friendly. My sales guy is Dave. Thanks for always being there.

    I decided to acquire extended coverage because it's a no ** and what had happened was my truck broke down and my car just couldn't be fixed. When I get pre-owned vehicle there's no excuse - no warranty on it. If anything goes wrong, I'm stuck out in the win. Thank God, I never got a lemon yet. But if it was anywhere from maybe 2010 on, it had been different but it was 2006 so that might be the best time to just go ahead and get an extended warranty on it.

    The gentleman I spoke to from CARCHEX is very kind. He explained what was going on. He asked me too what kind of plan I was looking at and he helped me decide what I wanted. Basic engine power train more than anything else because the power is almost practically new on them and things like that. I didn’t really worry about that because there are no power windows, it's all roll up and what I like about it there's no electronic seat adjustment. It's all grab, handle and pull, so that’s one of the main reasons why he helped me get the package.

    He explained everything and said if it's something that I didn’t want to do, I had a 30 days to change my mind. Overall, it's a great experience that I'd recommend to other people if anybody asked, but with my new car I got an extended warranty on it. I always have because I never know about pre-owned. But CARCHEX wasn’t a bad price for what it covers for a month. I didn’t really want to lock in too much, but better safe than sorry.

    Having a vehicle protection plan is priceless. If my motor goes out due to something that tore up inside, it would cost me $8000 to replace it. Having extended warranty, I only have to pay a $100 deductible. If my transmission goes out, that's almost $4000. I pray that I'll never need it but it's nice to know that I have it. I'm 50 years old, I'm not 25 anymore and having a warranty is a big deal in my life. I like to know that I'm covered, my vehicles are covered, and if it dies, I don't have to try to find someone to find the cheapest buy, someone who's going to give me the best deal because I don't have coverage.

    I got a letter in the mail from Carchex when it was time for me to update my extended warranty. I decided to call the person who sent it even if I didn't know anyone that got their extended warranty from Carchex. I had a good experience with them. The protection specialist who I talked to was great. He wasn't a pushy salesman. He was very knowledgeable with what he was telling me. That's a big deal to me because any question I had, he listened and was able to answer with not what he thought I wanted to hear. He didn't have to say, "Oh, let me get back to you" or "Oh, let me find out." He helped me get the plan that would fit my budget. I had a great overall experience with Carchex and people should know when someone has a great experience. I'm the person that when someone does wrong, I'm going to let them know but I'm also the person that when someone does right, I commend them.

    I had a bad experience with another vehicle that had no coverage and I wouldn't want to be in that predicament again. So I decided to get the CARCHEX extended coverage for my vehicle. I went with CARCHEX versus other aftermarket warranties because they don’t have a popcorn warranty, so the coverage of all the individual items is itemized to a top dollar, and it's for the entire coverage.

The only thing that I was not aware of when I originally talked to him was that there is another level of coverage which is the platinum.     One of the primary reasons I like to have coverage for vehicles is because one never knows if something breaks down and it's expensive to fix nowadays. I try to do it so I don’t have to worry about being fixed or having the money in that particular time. It could be thousands of dollars to fix the transmission. Even though the vehicle covered to 100,000 miles, the coverage I bought only extends another 7,000. But the other components of the car are quite expensive to replace anyway, so it's going to be paying for itself if something ever happens.

    I'm not new to buying extended coverages for cars. I'm 74 and I've been buying cars since I was 16. With every car I bought, especially the used ones, I would buy one of these contracts. So I researched, looked and went on to Better Business Bureau and saw the rating for CARCHEX. I saw there was a couple of issues that they had, not them personally because they don't service them as they call it to their other subcontractors so I'm hoping that I wouldn't have a problem.

    You hear harsh stories like people going for a simple repair and they wanted to break down the vehicle and they wind up they say it's corrosion or rust. Let's face it, an older car may have that and it's not going to cause the part to fail. It just got rust on it. They didn't pay and I was adamant of asking these questions to CARCHEX rep but to my satisfaction, he assured me that it wouldn't be the case with CARCHEX. So I'm hoping he's right. Not that I have corrosion problems because I'm in Florida and we don't have winters - there's no corrosion here. I don't see having a problem with that. I was impressed by David who seems to be a forthright and honest person. I would recommend selling it through him.

    It seemed practical to get an extended coverage because we recently bought a used car and we spend so much every time we go to a car shop. We purchased from CARCHEX and the gentleman that we spoke to made sure that he answered our questions well. He made himself very accessible to us just like I had a point person that would address what our concerns were. He’s a good salesman but he needs more training because after the process, I called back and wanted to know a few more details about the contract. He said he had to get somebody.     I decided to look into acquiring extended coverage when I got my first car.     I wouldn't recommend CARCHEX to anyone. I had a bad experience in purchasing my protection plan from them. The rep, Steven, took all of my information wrong. I didn't have the truck with me to give the exact mileage so I told him I was going to call him the next day and give him the exact mileage. I told him it was 40 thousand plus miles but he put down the wrong mileage on the truck at 60 thousand plus miles. Then he went ahead and took $138 out of my debit card for the warranty because I wanted to be covered as soon as possible.

    The next day, I called back to give the correct mileage and another guy said, "Well, Steven had the mileage at 60 thousand plus miles, which may be in some other kind of bracket." So he had to cancel out the first policy and then write up a new one with the correct mileage on it. I had to get some paper in the mail because we couldn't do it online. I tried to do it on the internet, and CARCHEX wouldn't allow me to sign the papers or do some kind of format online. So they mailed it to me and then I filled out the cancellation papers and faxed it back with the correct mileage. I've still got all the paperwork.

    The rep told me that I would have to pay the fee for the new policy. I said, "What about the fee that I paid for the old policy?" He said, "Well, we're going to have to send it back to you." I said, "How come? Can't I wait until I get my refund before I go ahead and pay for the next one because I don't have the money in the bank to cover that?". So he said, "Well, we can postdate it until you get your old money back from the old warranty. Give me your bank information, your routing number, and your bank account number, and we'll take the money out after the refund gets back into that account." Those are the exact words that he told me and I did not approve for him to take that money out of my account at that time.

    He told me, "When your refund hits your bank account, your card, call me that day right away and we can take it back out for your new policy." That's exactly what he said, but that's not what he did. So I went to my bank and told them to unauthorize it and take it back since I didn't have the money in the bank. But they covered it and charged me a $30 overdraft fee. He knew that because he tried to take it out right then. He said, "I thought there was a lot of money in there." I told him to wait till my refund gets back in the bank. But the refund never hit the bank but he took out money since the bank covered my check.

    The bank thought it was legit and even if it wasn't authorized, they covered it but they charged me an overdraft fee. So I went to the bank and told them that I did not authorize him to take the money out of the bank. And so they gave me some papers to sign and I signed them. Then the bank took the money back but I'm still with a negative in my bank account for the overdraft fee. And I still haven't got my refund back from my old policy, the first one that I cancelled, and I need it badly. That was bad business and I did not appreciate the rep doing it that way. So I don't want that warranty anymore.

    I was willing to stay with them before and have the warranty. But then, the way the rep handled it, I thought, what if something happened to my pick-up truck and I'm not covered with them? What would I have to go through to get my pick-up truck fixed? If I'm having bad problems right now, I know what kind of problems I'll have later on down the road if something were to happen and I had to pay a $100 deductible and it won't get fixed. So it really had me highly upset because right now I've got bills I need to pay. I need that money back because he took it out twice. They should give me my money back and let me go somewhere else to find me some other kind of warranty, because I still have no warranty.

    I don't trust insurance companies and I don't trust that the system is set up the way it's supposed to be. I don't like technology and the way they can take money out of my bank account without me authorizing it. Doing business on the phone is already bad. It's hard enough doing internet business with your banking online and over the phone. You can get robbed. You can get your identity stolen. All kinds of stuff can happen. And it's stressing me out bad because I'm paranoid about paying bills online. I don't like paying my bills online.

    I'm disabled. My husband and I are at home, and we don't have a lot of money. I barely could afford to get the warranty when I did agree to get it. But I know that I need some warranty. But right now, I'm not worried about it. I only want my money back. And if something happens to my pick-up truck, I have to pay out some other way to get it fixed. I'd rather wait for it to break down than pay something every month that I'm not sure is going to get covered by a warranty or insurance company. I have insurance, but warranty coverage is like getting accidental insurance, something that might never happen. And if it does happen, then I might have the money to fix it. It's something you have to take a chance at. I'd rather take my chances or speak to them myself.

    Since I didn't appreciate the way Steven handled that business, I called back. I got transferred around a hundred different times in one day. Every day I called back and asked them when my refund's coming back. They transferred me to 3 or 4 different people and every time I ask to speak to a manager, I never did get a manager ever. I didn't get to speak with anybody with authority. I left messages at the customer service department, at the cancellation department, at Steven's desk and it's a big mess. It stressed me out so bad.

    Every day I go home, check my mailbox, and see if my check is in the mail because I need that money. My husband and I get paid once a month for disability. And this is ridiculous. We need that money and I'm not ever going to trust anybody again with my bank account information. My bank manager was upset because they think that I make bad choices on giving out my bank account information. So she's looking at me weird like she'd never cover anything again, even if I needed it covered, until I get paid on the first of the month, because she doesn't trust me or anything I do.

    It's not the first time this happened to me. This is about the third time I had to change debit cards or bank account information. I've dealt with this bank since I've been banking and they charge overdraft fees for $30 and I'm looking for that. He said he was going to send me a $30 check to cover that. When the CARCHEX rep realized that he didn't get the money, they tried to take it out unauthorized for the second time and I don't know where that $30 check is. He's been lying, telling me stories and feeding me a bunch of bull crap and I don't appreciate it.

    The girl I spoke to last said, "We're getting a lot of cancellations and that's why we've got to send the money out by check." Because of the technology, something's going on wrong where they can't put the money back on my card. Well, I say, "You took my money out of my bank account, but you can't put it back in the same way?" She said they can't do it. They have to write a check and send it in the mail in two weeks. I've got to wait 4 weeks, a whole month, 6 weeks. I've been waiting since the 17th of the last month when I cancelled it.

    I've got everything written down on paper. I even threatened one of the ladies that I'm getting on an airplane and coming to find them all over $138 and some change. That's how desperate I am to see if their company is a fraud. It's something out of a fantasy. How much stuff can go wrong in technology and in the world right now? It's ridiculous. I'm paranoid schizophrenic and I've got some issues going on with my emotions and they're stressing me out. I have to see doctors because a lot of stuff in the world make me nervous and paranoid. I'm not lying. This right here takes the cake and my husband has to calm me down.

    CARCHEX was recommended by another BMW owner. I had to get an extended coverage because BMW repairs are expensive. It's necessary but currently, I'm not exactly happy with them. I thought it was fine until I realized that the initial mileage was wrong. We had 14 days. I went on a shopping trip and my wife asked me, “When does this extension plan start?” I said, “I don’t know.” I didn’t look at the paperwork. She got home, pulled it up and the initial mileage was wrong. We called them and asked to do a reddendum basically changing the initial mileage. They canceled my policy and said I had to restart. They could have just left it the way it was b but I had to go through the whole process again. My extended warranty is as much as some people’s car payment but I’ll see if I can get it worked out. They told me the different levels and at that time, I said I can't afford that much, so I just got the lesser of what they had to offer. They said I could upgrade it any time I wanted and extend it at some certain point. I got it in the mail but I haven't had time to open and look at it. In the past when I try to use them, I still wind up having a great experience plus the $100 I'm paying every month.     My first experience was fine and the second time was pleasant. The salesperson was really nice, professional - explaining everything as far as what it covered, etc. But nobody said anything about 24 to 48 hours to get it fixed. Last time, when I dealt with them, it was not a problem for the work to be done which is why I went back with them. Once my contract was up, I renewed with them because I knew once something was wrong with the car, they approve it, everything gets fixed, and I'm out of there the same day, not to hear that my car has to sit there and wait 24 to 48 hours for someone to come and look and see what's wrong with the vehicle. That did not work for me.

    It got me real upset. I didn't appreciate it and I was very upset so I removed my car from where it was to get fixed because I work far. I'm not happy with that experience.     I had a refinancing recently, and the extended warranty that they had with it wasn't very sufficient. I was also told that I cancel it within 30 days if I find something different. So, I checked CARCHEX and got a better option. Apparently, their process was smooth and easy. It's self-explanatory and not a lot of instructions needed. The link goes straight to where you can easily log in. The quotes were there and I only have to choose the one I wanted, then pay the monthly and other fees upfront.

    Also, their rep was helpful, informative and very thorough. He gave me all the different options and explained the difference in policies. I email them back and forth a lot and he had fast response. He also made customized calls based on what I was asking - like more time or switch to a different type that didn't have a full coverage on it if I didn't need something on it. So, I got a good deal from CARCHEX. The deductible of the plan I've got is lower and it offered a longer time frame as far as mileage and time span. I was advised that I can renew it too. However, for the price, it's a little bit more than what I was paying for half the miles and half the time. But other than that, I'm very satisfied with it. I had a good experience with CARCHEX and I'd recommend them.

    I’ve had an extended coverage policy on my other car since it was new. After its manufacturing warranty, I've gotten about 4 different extended coverage policies on it. Somebody cut in front of me at a traffic light and then slammed on their brakes so I then slammed into their rear bumper. My car was a 2000 which I bought new in 1999.     My daughter and I wanted to get an extended warranty for the car because I wanted to make sure that in case something happened to it, she can have it repaired. But purchasing the plan from CARCHEX was difficult. For example, we purchased it a month or so ago. If I had not called them the following week, we would not have received anything from them. They said they'd send us a packet, but we haven't received anything. Also, we are yet to receive an invoice for next month's payment. But that aside, their protection specialists were knowledgeable and they did answer all my questions.

    For now, I'll find out more of CARCHEX once there's a need to put the car in the shop to see how well that goes. I was going to put another car with them, but I wanted to see how well this experience worked first - this one hasn't been very good.     My Audi’s expensive to maintain, so I chose CARCHEX to cover it since it sounded good. Purchasing my plan from them went fairly easy, and the person I worked with seemed like he knew what he was talking about. However, once I read the paper over I realized I’m being charged way more than what I should be. The prices are a lot higher than everybody else, and they said they’re going to give you $15,000 in coverage but you’re paying $4,000, so it’s not worth it for me. I wouldn’t recommend them to a friend.
