Carchex covered most parts of the car for an equitable price. We negotiated it out for mileage vs. price. The rep was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very willing to work with me. The only thing was they told me that I would be receiving information at home in regards to the plan, but that was two weeks ago and I haven't got anything yet.

I had purchased a vehicle and needed extended coverage. I looked online and CARCHEX was rated high. I did an online quote first and they called me with the quote. I didn't have my information with me at that time but I called back the next couple of days and got the coverage. The representative was very professional. He considered the year and the mileage of the car, and that my daughter's driving it. He asked me how long she would be driving it and I said four years. So he was actually able to tailor the plan to four years but the monthly payment he gave me was still a little bit high. But then, they broke it down and spread it over a couple more months. So the total payment is still the same. There were no added charges and they were able to lower the monthly payment, which was good.

My car was totaled and this is my second car. It's a used car and I think it's better to have insurance. I always make it a priority. I got CARCHEX as a warranty and the protection specialist was good. They explained the warranty.

I got the impression straight up that he was being honest and professional but caring at the same time. And I don’t get those three characteristics in a salesman very often. The CARCHEX salesperson that I spoke with was upfront and I truly believe he was honest and loved what he was doing. I was satisfied with him overall. I bought this car not knowing that I should have gotten an extended warranty. Still, I found out I needed it in case something goes wrong with the car. I read all the good reviews before purchasing this warranty but in hindsight they seem to have been very misleading. As I started reading over their coverage on my car I came across this heading, "WHAT IS NOT COVERED". Going down this list that was nearly 2 pages long I began to realized that this warranty was only gonna work under very precise conditions, for example: A MINI Cooper with a burnt valve would cost me $3000+ to fix out of pocket and it is a very common parts failure in the model year of the car I own and that isn't covered by my specific warranty plan. When I tried to cancel, it was nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone.

I've had very good success using the extended warranties I've had for my last three vehicles. I purchased a jeep and I want to drive it for at least another year. Although I haven't had many issues with it, I thought of getting an extended warranty to be on the safe side. So, I went ahead and searched around and found CARCHEX. The rep I talked to was very honest, sincere and wasn't pushy. I had a bunch of questions for him and he was very quick to answer and he didn't have to stumble around to get them answered. He was trying to get me go ahead and sign up by paying and I told him to call me back because I didn't have the mileage and the bin. I hope I don't have to use the warranty since it's lock-in terms and it's only a one-time deal.

I just bought a used car and I looked into getting the standard auto warranty for it to make sure I was covered. I googled the top five auto warranty companies and CARCHEX was on top. I talked to the gentleman rep of CARCHEX to purchase a protection plan from them and it went very smoothly. I explained to him what I wanted and we discussed the options and what was most cost-effective for what I needed. The bumper-to-bumper coverage would have been ideal, but it was too expensive. It was more than the value of the vehicle. So, I ended up going with the Powertrain Plus plan, which seemed like a good fit. I extended the warranty for four years for $1000. For $1000, they said that the warranty's junk and it was not going to be worth it. Also, I called back a pay slip but then they talked me out of it. CARCHEX sent me one policy and I have a feeling that it was the most expensive one that they had. I felt like I was rushed and pushed into something that I don’t really know about or need.

CARCHEX called me and they said we needed the extended coverage because of the mileage. My mileage is 57,000 miles and Mercedez is expensive. It's out of factory warranty and when you’re at 50,000 mileage, it’s very dangerous. Filling out the form when I purchased the plan has been easy and my interaction with their reps has been good. Having a protection plan is nice. I'm on my second month with them and the service is good.

I'm very pleased with CARCHEX. I bought my car three years ago and then I purchased the warranty from them about six months after I bought the car. The CARCHEX rep was very helpful, friendly and understanding. I have since used the warranty once for repair and it went real good. I was taking my car in for something else and a thing came up on my Verizon Hum, saying it had a transmission, the switch tail was out, saying it wasn't working right. So, I took it into the Honda dealer where I bought the car from and then they called up CARCHEX and got arrangements to have the dealer do the repair. All I had to do was pay the $100 deductible and it went smoothly. The car has been working fine since then. It's very reasonable for the premium coverage. And when you need it, CARCHEX has been very helpful to get it all set up.

I got two cars but the warranty on one of them was expiring from the vendor, so I purchased from Carchex and got a contract. Their specialists were fine. I’m satisfied at this point and hopefully I’ll be able to utilize a claim if ever.

My car's warranty was expiring and so I wanted to get extended coverage for the car considering the high cost of out of pocket repair if something were to go wrong with it. I called the top three providers that I got through a Google search on my phone at the time. CARCHEX had the quote that worked the best for me, as far as the amount of coverage and the amount of money that they wanted. So I went ahead with purchasing it and the representative made the process easy. She was very cordial, answered all of my questions and explained things very well. I had to go to the bank to deposit money into my account to pay for the downpayment for the warranty and she stayed on the line with me and explained to me all the questions. She did a good job and was very easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them.

Having a warranty on my vehicle is very valuable. When something will go wrong, I can get it fixed. And since my manufacturer warranty was about to run out, I looked for an auto warranty. I liked the price of CARCHEX. Their rep explained everything to me more than once and I had a great interaction with him. And he kept calling back to make sure that I was satisfied and that I talked to everybody I wanted to talk to about the insurance. He was very professional and he called the people that I asked him to call and tried to talk to the people that I asked him to talk to.

They were quick to setup my service and take my money but I called 5 times or more in one day within my 30 day time frame to cancel for a full refund and it's impossible to reach a human unless you're buying this program. Each and every single call either ended with a messages stating the extension was not valid or listening to a guy talk about the program only to be routed to a voicemail. I'm not a picky or hard to deal with customer/person but when you don't answer my calls when I've paid for something I become extremely cautious.

I purchased a used car and I wanted to make sure that I had coverage so I decided to go through CARCHEX. They had good reviews so I went with them. However, our experience has not been very good. CARCHEX debited my account after they told me that they were refunding my money because it says that it is totally refundable, but they did not. I also had trouble getting the bank to do it and had to go through all kinds of hoops to get my money back. They need to stand behind what they say and mean what they say and not just give me a really nice song and dance story, and then not get my money back to me. We are not talking a lot of money. I’m talking like $135. But for the whole thing, I don’t want it. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t recommend CARCHEX at all.

I went online, looked at extended auto warranty companies and spoke at length with their representatives. Then I entered into Dodge Nitro and the guy sent the paperwork. I signed it but I hadn’t sent it back to them for another warranty company. Then I went against them and went to CARCHEX instead because the guys there were a little more informative. They had a good idea and knowledgebase on what the warranty entailed, and that was comforting. Also, CARCHEX’s coverage included wear and tear, where others waited for a complete failure and breakdown, so that was very attractive.

The protections specialist that helped me set it up was good. It’s idiotic not to have a vehicle protection plan and I wish I had done this before. Now, when I drive off on my car going down the street, I’m not in a panic.

I was buying a used vehicle and for the cost of the vehicle, it makes sense to protect it from future loss. CARCHEX was recommended to me and initially, they were cheaper for what I thought was equal or better allowances in the policy. It turned out that the third party vendor that they use happened to cover a handicap modified vehicle. They were able to cover more as far as the modifications go.

Service representative could not help me sent me to supervisor. I believe that he was a little pushy with selling the packet I finally bought, possibly regretting it. Was not sure if wanted it. Felt like I was pressured into it.

I work a lot and drive around different projects and getting an extended car coverage would be a wise investment. I got a plan from CARCHEX and it was super easy and no hassle to do. I just gave them my information, told him what I wanted and they got it done. I talked to the rep on the phone and we didn't have any issues. He called me before it started and let me know that everything was good to go. And if I ever need anything to just give him a call. CARCHEX has good cost and service overall.

Helpful friendly. Only thing my car was still under warranty by the months as the miles just ran out. I have to wait another 1000 miles or a month to make a claim. Ugh. It would have been nice to start it immediately as I have had no claims in a few months.

I was comfortable with everything that we spoke about and no suspense was left out. I highly recommend CARCHEX.

I bought an extended coverage through another extended warranty company, Endurance. I found out that the people they call is just a broker and that the people who are selling the policy to you will tell you anything to get the sale. And when it comes down to getting things done, all these things are not covered. I needed a thermostat and it cost me $900 out of pocket, and the warranty company wouldn't pay for it. The dealership said that the radiator needed to be replaced. They don't put that on the warranty, but the rep from Endurance told me that the whole cooling system was covered when I bought it.

I told him I was busy during the day and he called me back at the end of the day, which I really appreciated. He got all my information and took my payment on the phone. He set everything up for the end of the month and that was cool.

I googled used car warranty and I read about CARCHEX. I called them and they gave me good advice to set to my category. So I agreed. However, I found out that the service was different than what I asked. I called them about it and the customer service rep told that they'll look it up and they'll tell me. Then I got a callback and they told me no and kept it the same. Their customer service is not good. I will just finish the contract and then I will cancel it. Don't go with CARCHEX.

I was looking at new cars and I finally decided to get a warranty from CARCHEX 'cause I have a Volvo that's getting old. I've had a good experience buying the policy and my dealing with the protection specialist was great. The guy stayed on me, calling me from months after months and I finally told him I'm not gonna get it and then I went with it. I'm just gonna call in monthly and make the payment. I've been with them for less than a month but so far, I'm very happy with CARCHEX. It's reliable and I'd recommend it.

We recently paid off my car and we're gonna give it to our son. He has never had the responsibility of a car and he's gonna be away at college, so we decided to get an vehicle protection plan on the vehicle because we wanna make sure he was covered. We checked out three warranty providers and at first, CARCHEX didn’t offer us the best deal. But they matched somebody else’s that we were gonna go with, so we went with them. The specialist we worked with was pretty straightforward and cordial. He had a real grasp of knowledge on their product and he answered every question I had. I would let my friends know about CARCHEX.

I just purchased a vehicle and I knew I was gonna get an extended warranty but I didn’t wanna buy the one through the dealership because they're usually higher. I spoke with the specialist from CARCHEX last Thursday and he went over everything with me as far as the price and what I get in the plan. He emailed it to me and I told him that I’m gonna think about it and will also check with a couple of other companies. I did and then I emailed him back later that evening after he sent me that quote. I asked him about a higher protection because the original plan that he sent me was a little bit less coverage. And so, he sent me the new coverage that I was looking at and applied for that.

Having a vehicle protection is extremely valuable and the car has over 80,000 miles, so it was time to get an extended coverage. CARCHEX had better reviews online so I went with them and when I gave the specialist my information, he said I qualified for the Platinum package. I inquired about the Gold package and he described it. I told him that we should take the Platinum package so we moved forward with it. It was for three years, 45,000 miles and that’s what we wanted. Then, when I got the package at home, confirming my purchase, I saw there was a Titanium level which is above the Platinum level. I would have liked to know about it because if that is better than the one that I was approved for, then I would have liked to have the choice to understand what the better level is.

I looked into getting an extended coverage as a safety net. I called CARCHEX and they responded on time. They informed me about the plan and when I asked them about the coverage, they said yes to everything. They also said that I had to wait for one month or 1000 miles before I could make my first claim. They gave a positive answer to every single one of my negatives like when I asked why they had so many bad reviews and customer complaints. They took me down to the Better Business Bureau website and told me that they addressed all customer complaints so they have an 8+ rating with the Bureau. That convinced me to go ahead and move forward with them.

I can only speak to purchasing an extended warranty. My mechanic advised I purchase one. I looked into the one the car dealer recommended and then checked online and found CARCHEX and called. The rep who called was very thorough and explained the contract well. I chose CARCHEX because the deal was better as more was included and the price was lower. Also, the manager took time to talk with me as well. All the online reports spoke well of the company.

My experience with CARCHEX is horrible. I'm in the process trying to cancel it and the customer service totally sucks. Initially, the buying process was fine. But when I had questions about the thing, the people became belligerent. The problem is with their other provider, American Auto Shield, not CARCHEX. When I look into American Auto Shield, thousands of people are saying that CARCHEX never pays. They find an excuse not to pay, that the car has rubbed around the tires so I feel ripped off. Once I found out it was American Auto Shield and not a company called CARCHEX, I called the same day that I purchased it but they put me off until Monday to cancel it. The salesman would continually send an email saying if I was still interested and that I would get a hold of him. He was not pushy in any manner at all. I'm not 100% sure as how the warranty works. He did explain a fair amount to me. He said it was best to read the documentation, that shows up just to make sure that it's suitable, and if it's not, that we can cancel the order and refund the original amount that I had paid out.

I called in three or four times. Sean happens to be local and takes his Nissan to the same place I did. He was great. He told me he'd email me and he did. I called him again and he explained the warranty to me. He knows a lot of ripoffs there.

CARCHEX denied to cover the cost to replace fuel pump on my vehicle even though the inspector who they sent out official report states that fuel leak originated as follows: "Findings RFI : Found fuel tank had no impacts. Fuel tank had evidence of fuel leaking from area of fuel pump/sending unit. Found outlet port on fuel pump was broken. Port is a plastic elbow & tech states it was partially cracked & broke off completely during tear down. Also high pressure plastic fuel line shows to have been leaking above quick disconnect clamp. No impacts. Metal portion of fuel line has no abuse or corrosion. Tech states there is not a 2nd fuel line but that new part # requires the additional 2nd line. Inspector's Opinion of Cause of Failure: 1. Material failure to fuel pump outlet port. 2. Material failure to pressure line from fuel pump outlet port."

I've had 12 BMWs and I've been looking for an old convertible because they dropped making the red top in 2006. So, I found one up in Cleveland about nine months ago. It had very low mileage on it so I had it shipped down here. I'm trying to keep it alive. I don't know how to drive it. I've had it for nine months and I put on 204 miles on it. I bought the contract of Carchex and their rep was great. He couldn't have been better and more helpful. I went on the internet and all glorious things that were said by Carchex impressed me. I also talked to Endurance and Car Shield. The problem with Endurance was that they have an ironclad rule that you have to go a thousand miles before you are effective to get the insurance. But with Carchex, there is an alternative of three months and two hundred miles. For me, it sounded very appealing. The plan fits me perfectly. I would recommend Carchex to anybody.

I liked how the website looks and there was a lot of information so I made a call.

They are the only people with actual backing from a company that I recognize. The specialist was good but he was a little pushy. Even so, he said that I could call him anytime. He gave me his extension number in case I have any more questions. I got an extended coverage for my car so I'd have a peace of mind if anything happened to it because it’s my baby. I’m paying as much for this insurance as I paid for my car, which is a BMW, so hopefully it all works out and if anything does happen, they'd cover it. I’ve read a lot of reviews on their website where it says that they don’t cover anything, so my fingers are crossed and I’m taking a chance.

I checked out the number one company, and they were very pushy and they didn’t explain the coverage correctly. I spoke to Joshua, the gentleman rep at CARCHEX, and he was a really good guy. He took a lot of time with me, and he went over all the coverage and the prices, including the difference in coverage. CARCHEX met the cost that the number one company was giving me. CARCHEX even did a bit better, and they were really helpful versus just trying to make a sale. With the number one company, it’s a decreasing plan where the amount of coverage decreases as your vehicle gets older. Whereas with CARCHEX, the coverage does not decrease. So it’s a flat $15000 that they’ll reimburse or pay for your car to get fixed, which I thought was a great thing.

I had an extended warranty before but the warranty company refused to cover anything when I tried to use it so I switched to CARCHEX. Leon, the person who sold it, made the product sound like something I needed. He was very efficient and he answered every one of my questions promptly. I would recommend him.

CARCHEX had good reviewers online and the service was relatively simple and straightforward. When I called them, they had to transfer me to an appropriate person which was typical for California. But Ben, their protection specialist, did an exceptional job. He got back with a quote and went down for the options on it. He also followed up with emails and gave me everything that I needed. Then he called me back a few days later asking if I had any more questions and if I wanted to move forward with the coverage for the used car that I bought. And I moved forward with it, though I still had been expecting for the package to arrive. Other than that, dealing with CARCHEX on the phone and getting the process rolling was an easier experience than what I was expecting.

First time doing business with Carchex. The purchase experience was very smooth; I just hope that if I ever have a claim it will be just as smooth and hassle free and not get the runaround. I have been burned with online car warranty companies in the past. But I hope I never have to submit a claim. Keeping finger crossed!
