    We bought a car and it was required to have a warranty. I heard about CARCHEX where I bought the car and I really like them. How they set up and work with their customers is really nice. I was with my mom when we set up the coverage and the rep was so polite and helpful. When he told me the prices, I was like, “I really don’t know because of how the finances are." Then he said he would extend and lower it, and that worked really good. We've been in it for a couple of weeks and knowing that the car is covered if anything happens to it gives me a good feeling.

    I’ve got a limited income and I can't afford expensive car repairs. I still have a couple of years on my vehicle and the warranty has expired. CARCHEX's reviews online convinced me to go buy an extended warranty from them. Upon buying the plan, they needed to know my VIN number and mileage. They also told me the different packages they had available. My rep was very patient. I told him to go ahead and call me back in a month and see where I was and he did exactly that. I also told him that I prefer being emailed or texted and that I did not want a bunch of phone calls all the time and he emailed me and sent me information. It wasn't pushy. CARCHEX has handled things in a professional and non-invasive manner and I would recommend them.

    Having a protection plan is valuable. I do a lot of travel and I drive my kids around from karate and events so I wanted coverage for my vehicle. It’s good to make sure I have a reliable vehicle and no surprise bills. The other carriers didn’t get back to me promptly but the CARCHEX rep was friendly and persistent. I was always under a time crunch when we talked, but she did great. Their purchasing process wasn’t difficult although I was hoping to get more information on exactly how much coverage I'd have, but I guess it will come in the mail. So far, it has been pleasant dealing with CARCHEX.

    We bought the car three years ago and I had done a CarFacts on it and that generated us an email with the CARCHEX information. I called and checked on it. Being a used car, it doesn't have a warranty and we thought it would be a good idea to have some coverage on it, so we went ahead and got a three-year plan. I've used it once and it came in handy for the repair. We had it repaired and it cost us a $100 copay deductible. And then it covered the rest.

    I had a couple of mailing from CARCHEX recently. I called the other day and found out what it would cost to renew up for another three years. I inquired and spoke to a supervisor. He tried to find out what the best price was that he could get for me. They came up with the $126 when it had been $98 the prior three years of it. It's gonna be a little hard for us to pay. It will be about $28 more than it was. I wanted to cover any repairs or whatever could happen. It costs me money even if I don't use it, but when I need it, it's nice to have it there. Having a vehicle protection plan is important, especially on an older vehicle. It's nice to feel like you're not just hanging out there without any protection.

    The warranty that I have now is going to expire soon and I just want to continue the coverage. I don’t wanna be caught paying thousands of dollars if I do have a catastrophic maintenance issues so I tried to get a warranty upfront because it's never cheap to fix my vehicle. I looked around and from what I've looked at, CARCHEX had a better package. I initially started to contact their rep in March and it has been an ongoing communication up until now. I knew that the decision had to be made but I don’t like rushing so I got started on things earlier. The rep was very attentive. She pretty much answered all of the questions and concerns that I had.

    I’ve had warranties in cars before and it generally worked out and has paid off. It was for security and to avoid having a costly outlay of money for something that I could have covered much less expensively. The warranties that I have on the vehicle expired or will be expiring in the near future. And I wanted to have some protection in events that I would have a fairly major repair. I consider an extended warranty an insurance where I don’t need it until I need it.

    I researched online and looked at different companies that offered extended service plans. I also looked at ratings of the companies and saw that CARCHEX was one of the more highly rated companies in terms of their services and their coverage. And as I explored it further, I saw that the cost of their service is also competitive. I didn’t know CARCHEX before I’ve done the research but once I delved into it a bit and saw the reviews, I became more comfortable with the company. And I did a comparison with other companies that offered similar services.

    The purchasing experience of my plan went well. I filled up an application online which pretty quickly resulted in a phone call from a sales representative of the company who asked questions and began to form a proposal based on what my answers were and gave me options from the basic to the more complete service. And we went over a period of two or three days and half a dozen phone calls for our conversations with their representative. I had a lot of questions for them after looking at the documentation that was provided such as a sample contract. And I got the answers to my questions with the representatives I talked with online. I felt good that, for whatever reason, I have 30 days to change to my mind if I wanted to do that once I signed up.

    Tim was the principal person that I talked to and he did an excellent job. There wasn’t anything that I asked him that he didn’t seem to know about and he gave me a good, complete response. Initially, I told him that I was not ready to make the decision that day as I needed a little more time. So we talked the next day. And I had more questions and he was able to answer those. He was a good salesman and also a good resource person. He was not trying to rush the deal. Instead, he was very diligent, responsive and patient with me. Having a vehicle protection plan is pretty valuable based on the experience of friends and family. I’ve also had to use those plans because of an issue with my car but I’m hopeful that I will not have a major issue. But, in case I do, I feel comfortable that I’m covered by this company.

    Purchased Silver Coverage Plan (American Auto Shield) thru CARCHEX, Jan. 2018. Downpayment of $123. The waiting period is 1000 miles AND 30 days. March 2018, took truck to service mechanic, after waiting period was up. Needed a U-joint. Carchex/American Auto Shield would NOT honor anything. Their reason was it hadn't FAILED! Guess they wanted an accident or possible injury or death before could get repaired! ATTEMPTED TO CANCEL policy WITH MUCH CONFUSION AND GO AROUND as to what forms were needed and where to send, with WRONG ZIP CODE to Baltimore MD.

    After 3 MONTHS I finally get a lousy check back for $72. I read my contract front to back and DID understand there MAY be a $50 admin. service charge. NOTHING in contract stated: "LESS CONTRACT AMOUNT ELAPSED" which includes the 30 day waiting period! So, I learned my lesson and hope anyone that reads this will NOT make the same mistake I did. I put in $245 for the bogus contract and Carchex took out $123 for contract elapsed time and $50 admin service fee. PLUS paid out of pocket for new U-Joint! DON'T get TAKEN!

    Thank you for your review. We understand the frustration of having a claim denied, however in this case, your center U-Joint is not a component that was listed for coverage on your Vehicle Service Contract.

    As a retailer, we pride ourselves on offering the most comprehensive coverages and fully disclosing the available options to fully protect our customers. In review of your Vehicle Service Contract, you were offered an Exclusionary level of coverage (commonly referred to as Bumper to Bumper) and an Inclusionary, Silver level, Powertrain plus plan.

    The Exclusionary coverage is our highest level of protection and covers everything on the vehicle except a short list of exclusions. This plan would have offered coverage on your repair for the center u-joint but was declined at the time of purchase.

    With the inclusionary coverage purchased, the plan lists the parts that are covered on the vehicle. Any part that is not listed on your contract is ineligible for coverage which was the case for your center u-joint.

    In an effort to ensure the Vehicle Service contract met your needs, a written quote was emailed to you on January 25th for review. When coverage was purchased on 1/26/18, we advised the coverage included a 30 day money back guarantee to allow time to review the contract to ensure the coverage met your needs. With this in mind, an electronic copy of the coverage was emailed for review 1/26/2018 and a hard copy was sent via US Mail. Our records indicate that the electronic coverage was accessed multiple times on 1/25/2018, 1/26/2018, and 1/29/2018.

    As a retailer, we went to great lengths to ensure you were properly informed of the level of coverage you were purchasing. We are sorry you had a non-listed item that needed repair but the claim was denied correctly.

    For the refund, your coverage includes a pro-rated refund for any time/miles you have paid for less the $50 cancellation fee.     My interaction with the CARCHEX rep was pretty good but he made a mistake. I clearly told him that I will be paying my payment on the 6th of July, that I was gonna pay it for the month of July and that my next payment would not be until August 29th. But the statement I received online said that my first payment was due on July the 29th. When I called, they told me, “Will you call in on the 6th to make the payment? And the next statement will say August 29th.” That confused me because the had rep told me that the payment would be taken off my card automatically on the 6th of July. I’m still not clear on whether they would just take the money off of my card or if I have to call in that day. But getting extended coverage was the smart thing to do. It is 100% valuable because I would never know what’s gonna happen with the vehicle. It’s like car insurance. I pay it every month and I know that if something happens I get covered. It would save a lot of money.

    Wanting to take care of my vehicle, I decided to acquire an extended warranty and went with CARCHEX after looking at the reviews online. I've had extended warranty in the past when I needed to use it, and I know people who have needed to have repairs and they did not have a warranty. Thus, it’s very valuable having the protection plan. It's definitely a good cushion to have. CARCHEX is a good company. My experience with them during the purchase was good although the guy I was talking to was new so I got transferred to the manager, who had a little bit more knowledge and experience.     Well I have a current claim with CARCHEX. I purchased an extended warranty with CARCHEX on May 11th. At the time my car was fine didn’t have any problems or anything. Well on June 19th my Vehicle was making a funny noise. So the first thing I did was take it to a shop. So come to find out it was a front end differential. After I got it checked out I called CARCHEX and they said that they are able to cover the front end differential. So after going back and forth with the Mechanic shop and CARCHEX. They decided to tell me that because my account is new that the review will take a couple of days to see if I get approved.

    On top of that they told me that my car was recently purchased which was false. I have one more payment after this month. So now I’m highly upset because I need a vehicle to get around which they was going to provide me with a rental but can’t because my claim is not approved. It just seem like when I was making the purchase the salesman made it seem like it’s a smooth process and CARCHEX will be there to have my back when in need. However I’m now missing out on work because I’m left without a vehicle because it’s at the shop waiting to be repaired.

    According to our records, a Ride share Vehicle Service Contract was purchased on your 2006 Jeep Commander on 5/18/2018. This plan included a standard waiting period of 30 days and 1000 miles driven before claims could be called in. A claim was submitted for the differential right after the initial 30 day waiting period.

    The administrator of the coverage sent a 3rd party inspector to your repair shop to document and verify the cause of failure. The inspector submitted his report and documented a seal failure to the differential. The inspector documented several pictures of the leaks including clear/new gear fluid, red RTV Sealant, and road grime indicating a failure that existed prior to the 2 days of active coverage. The inspector also provided his professional opinion that it appeared the differential was recently worked on and repaired improperly.

    At the time of purchase, we have verified our representative read a required closing script that summarized your purchase. During this script, he advised that the Vehicle Service Contract does not cover pre-existing issues, modifications, or salvaged titles.

    While we understand the frustration of having a denied claims, our Vehicle Service Plans cover new failures occurring during the active coverage. In this case, the repairs were long term in nature and denied in accordance with the terms and conditions of your coverage.

    When I found out that something was going on with my vehicle, I called the people that sold me the vehicle and they told me the car didn’t have any warranty. I went online and found that CARCHEX was reasonable. The price that they gave me was something that I could afford. Then their agent explained things to me and asked me a couple of questions on why I chose them. I told him that I was trying to find something in my budget range and that the struggle was real so I had to stretch my funds. Then when I said that I was disabled, he lowered the price even more.

    I gotta have my maintenance done and I knew that for the monthly maintenance, as well as the oil change, I would have to pay which was not expensive. It’s just that things get difficult when the money is short and you try to do these things. CARCHEX's specialist broke it down in payments ‘cause I didn’t have money to pay the whole thing and I was grateful for that. He was professional and concerned about me. He didn’t want to put me in anything that I couldn’t afford. He respected me as a customer, and I respected him as a agent. I would definitely recommend them to someone else.

    Having a protection plan for my vehicle is 100% valuable. When I purchased my '08 Escalade, it was in excellent condition and I wanted to maintain it that way. With that as well as the cost of the repairs, I decided to get an extended coverage. I looked at Carchex's credentials online and saw that they were top-rated in Better Business Bureau.     I've acquired an extended coverage for my vehicle before. We've bought vehicles that had 35,000 to 40,000 miles on them. And even though they still had to make such a warranty, we recognize one thing that we, as a family, like to do is we like to go back to the dealer to take care of our service. But we also recognize in going back to the dealer, at times, the service costs are gonna be a little higher than going to other service repair groups. So, having the warranty to help us offset and having that experience with CARCHEX previously made me choose them even though there was another organization that talked about their payment or repayment of warranty services being higher than that of CARCHEX. However, I recognized, they had some other exclusions that I needed with my vehicles.

    We had some bumps in the road with CARCHEX, but when I finally got past the bumps, we were able to work through some things. The initial person that I talked to when purchasing the vehicle protection plan from CARCHEX was still listed as the point of contact, although I talked to several other agents. So whatever CARCHEX has behind the scenes for us as a consumer, they were able to pick up where we last left off. I considered a discounted negotiable rate. I went to another warranty broker for another company and CARCHEX matched. The best rate I can get was coming at the door and I didn't have to shop around.

    I have three vehicles and my son has the third one. He's in graduate school. I bought that vehicle with 3 miles on it and it now has 273,000. I have my vehicle which when I just purchased CARCHEX on had 1,000 miles on it from the dealer and now it has 120,000. My wife has another vehicle, so we're about to come into that bumper to bumper warranty. I keep cars, but I take good care of them. It's for my Lyft vehicles. I'll pay off a vehicle and I'll continue to take good care of it and it still looks good. And I'll keep a car a couple of 100,000 miles. And if CARCHEX would like to give me a more competitive rate, I'd appreciate it.

    I have a couple of friends that own the extended warranty and I heard good recommendations from them. Also, my vehicle is a German car and if anything were to go bad in the long run, I wanted to make sure I was covered. I bought the extended coverage from CARCHEX as a precaution. It was more for my peace of mind.

    My salesperson stuck with me the whole way. He looked out for me and he continued to look out for me. He called and made sure everything was okay. He also made sure I received the booklet that showed all of my coverage and information. I even had a few questions for him a couple days after I bought the extended warranty. I called back three times to ask him and he answered me right then and there. When he didn’t know the answer right away, he got back to me. Our interaction was very good and informative. The payment plan was also explained very well. They told me the price of the plan, that it was an 18-month payment plan and that I’m paying around $259 per month. It was fairly easy to set up too.

    I liked what Sean, my salesperson, told me. He said that the plan is bumper to bumper, like what I would have gotten from the manufacturer when I bought my vehicle. So I don’t have to worry about anything ‘cause everything is covered, even wear and tear. Being single and female, it’s important that I have some coverage because I don’t know what the mechanical issues can be and I feel like if I've got that extra insurance, I'm gonna be less likely to be taken advantage of. CARCHEX and my salesperson seem to be very valuable. Sean was very easy to talk to and seemed like a friend. He didn’t seem “salesy” like so many people do. I really liked him a lot.

    I already had CARCHEX but my mileage expired, so I had to renew but I wanted to make sure that the pricing was comparative to some of the other people who were calling me and what all it covered as far as the vehicle. I asked the CARCHEX reps if it was the best that they could offer and they offered me some aggressive pricing to be competitive with the other providers. I also asked if there were any other discounts that I qualified for and they called me back and said that they’ve found another one. Also, I used CARCHEX at a time when I needed assistance and they came through for me. So, it made it a lot easier for me to renew with them.

    A lot of times, some of the other warranty people will vaguely tell you what’s covered. The CARCHEX reps were knowledgeable and they gave a breakdown of what items they cover so there’s no misunderstanding or misrepresentation of what they’re providing. A vehicle protection plan is very valuable. With parts that are not as costly, the maintenance or the labor costs more than the parts. With CARCHEX, that goes under the warranty, and you know what your deductible is and you just pay that. I’ve had a situation with my BMW where it came out to be about $2,000 and I only paid 160 bucks. CARCHEX is good for me and I’m a firm believer.

    My husband and I travel a lot and my husband didn’t want me to be on the road and not be able to get anything done. I have a Honda and its warranty went out so I looked into an extended warranty online. CARCHEX was down as the good people to go through. Their representatives were very friendly and very nice. A representative gave me all the information upfront. I spoke to my husband about it and we called them back. Then, a payment plan was set up for me. However, I’m cancelling CARCHEX because we had a death in the family so I needed a little extra money right now. The reps said I need to write a letter stating why I needed the refund and to sign the bottom of it and send the photo to them. Then they can give me a full refund in my account. And until we get things settled, I can’t afford it but I hope to get the warranty later on if we need it. That aside, I would recommend CARCHEX to anybody.

    I had started a policy with CARCHEX and then I canceled because the person I purchased the used vehicle from gave me an extended warranty to back up, too. Then the warranty ran out. I looked into extended coverage for I wanted to be safe and be covered because the Audi S4 that I’m driving is not cheap. CARCHEX has good ratings so I went back to them. It was very easy to get in contact with their reps when I purchased it and our interaction was excellent. Although there was a little miscommunication when I got the policy. I thought the warranty initially covered 100,000 miles and I took it. But now, it covers 75,000 miles. CARCHEX set an automatic payment plan for me easily. I was hoping it could be a little cheaper but there was nothing they can do. Other than that, everything about my experience was fine and I recommend CARCHEX.

    We bought a 2007 vehicle, which is our primary travel vehicle, so we wanted to make sure that we had more than just drivetrain coverage. I’m still financing a little bit of the vehicle so I was talking to my credit union and they said they can offer me a coverage to qualify for the loan. I asked them for options but they told me that I really didn't have any. They just gave me what they could give me based on the year of my vehicle and stuff. And it was only drivetrain. I told them that I need more stuff than that. So I did some research on who were the top companies and CARCHEX was one of the ones that came up. I reached out online and asked them for more information.

    The rep I dealt with was very helpful in helping me determine what would be covered. He answered all my questions when I asked about some of the things that have occurred in the past regarding the suspension. It was under warranty before and it was replaced. I wanna make sure that if this happens again it’s gonna be covered under the warranty and the drivetrain isn’t gonna do that. So we walked through all those components. And then we went over to the other thing that we discussed in regards to the electrical components and the computer in the car. Those were all add-ons in as far as importance because they’re always a pain when they go out. After checking out a couple of different options, CARCHEX just made the most sense. I was really pleased with the coverage that they offered for the price. Also, going through some transition with work, I told them I can't pay it upfront and they financed it for two years. It just worked out really well.

    I’m in and out of a lot of cars, and I have purchased about 5 warranties through CARCHEX but I never got a chance to use them until about a couple weeks ago. But it made me very disappointed and highly upset because the warranty gave me a really hard way of using it. It was my first claim and it took about two weeks for them to pay on the claim. I didn’t have time to look elsewhere and go with another warranty company. But I spent a lot of money. And I referred at least four different family members to CARCHEX.

    The plan that I have covered what was wrong but it was the claims department that took me through so much for one claim. I've had the warranty for over two years. I have six more months before it will be paid for, and I was highly upset. They signed me up with this new warranty and the representative that I’m dealing with now is Jay and he’s excellent.

    In review of your claim, the repair shop called in (2) failures on 5/8/2018. On 5/9/2018, our administrator discussed the repair with your repair shop and advised an inspection would be needed to confirm the failures to your rear drive shaft and purge valve as there was a question as to whether the entire rear drive shaft needed to be replaced or whether it could be repaired.

    On 5/15/2018, your repair shop advised your vehicle was back in the shop and ready for inspection. The 3rd party inspector submitted his report on 5/16/2018 and the claim was paid on 5/21/2018.

    While we understand the frustration of having a repair take 2 weeks, there was a need to have the vehicle inspected to verify the failures based on the nature of your specific repairs. Some of this time was related to diagnosis and needed inspection with an additional delay due to the vehicle being unavailable to be inspected.

    Please keep in mind, in the future, if there are any delays or issues with your claim, CARCHEX has it's own customer service team avaialable to help escalate & expedite claims issues on your behalf in the event you have nay problems with your administrator.     CARCHEX sent me the info saying that my current insurance was gonna expire and I called them. I was having a bad day and I told the rep that. And he was having a bad day too. He asked for the numbers on my policy and I told him. But he wrote the numbers down wrong, so he had to write it back. I told him the numbers again and the situation ended to be funny because we screwed up some numbers. We had a good talk and it was fun. We were both laughing by the time we got done on the phone.

    However, I misunderstood something and I had to call him back. I thought the policy was active right away or that when it went through, that by the time my paperwork got here, between 30 days, it’d be active. But it wasn’t. It said on the book that it was so many miles or 90 days. So I asked him about the active date and he gave me his personal office phone number. Other than that, the experience with CARCHEX was all right and I was satisfied. It’s just that we had a little miscommunication there for a bit. It was part my fault and part his because he wasn’t listening clear enough and I was talking too fast. He was trying to sit there and do the computer work and I was sitting here talking. And when he had read the stuff back, it wasn't that. I’ve used CARCHEX before and it has helped a lot because I got things fixed that wouldn’t have gotten fixed without it.

    I read all the good reviews before purchasing this warranty but in hindsight they seem to have been very misleading. As I started reading over their coverage on my car I came across this heading, "WHAT IS NOT COVERED". Going down this list that was nearly 2 pages long I began to realized that this warranty was only gonna work under very precise conditions, for example: A MINI Cooper with a burnt valve would cost me $3000+ to fix out of pocket and it is a very common parts failure in the model year of the car I own and that isn't covered by my specific warranty plan. When I tried to cancel, it was nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone.

    My Subaru has an expiring warranty and so I looked into getting extended coverage. According to surveys, CARCHEX was the number company that did extended coverage so I went with them. I extended the warranty for four years for $1000. For $1000, they said that the warranty's junk and it was not going to be worth it. Also, I called back a pay slip but then they talked me out of it.     They were quick to setup my service and take my money but I called 5 times or more in one day within my 30 day time frame to cancel for a full refund and it's impossible to reach a human unless you're buying this program. Each and every single call either ended with a messages stating the extension was not valid or listening to a guy talk about the program only to be routed to a voicemail. I'm not a picky or hard to deal with customer/person but when you don't answer my calls when I've paid for something I become extremely cautious.

    The next step is to contact Chase Bank and file a complaint and get my money back that way. I originally thought I was getting a terrific deal with these guys until I went through Progressive Auto Insurance and found out about Direct Warranty through Progressive... I got 5 years for $99 a month and 100,000 miles. CARCHEX charged me $162 a month for 50,000 miles... Overpriced. I also was able to get a few more extras with Direct for less money than CARCHEX. Please people do your research and watch out what you're getting into. These people love your money but not to talk with you if they don't have to.

    I purchased a used car and I wanted to make sure that I had coverage so I decided to go through CARCHEX. They had good reviews so I went with them. However, our experience has not been very good. CARCHEX debited my account after they told me that they were refunding my money because it says that it is totally refundable, but they did not. I also had trouble getting the bank to do it and had to go through all kinds of hoops to get my money back. They need to stand behind what they say and mean what they say and not just give me a really nice song and dance story, and then not get my money back to me. We are not talking a lot of money. I’m talking like $135. But for the whole thing, I don’t want it. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t recommend CARCHEX at all.

    I went online, looked at extended auto warranty companies and spoke at length with their representatives. Then I entered into Dodge Nitro and the guy sent the paperwork. I signed it but I hadn’t sent it back to them for another warranty company. Then I went against them and went to CARCHEX instead because the guys there were a little more informative. They had a good idea and knowledgebase on what the warranty entailed, and that was comforting. Also, CARCHEX’s coverage included wear and tear, where others waited for a complete failure and breakdown, so that was very attractive.

    Getting set up with CARCHEX was easy, too. I filled out the application and made sure I gave them the right miles of the car. Then I gave them money and they promised to fix my car if it breaks down. I’ve been screwed by another warranty company before, Fidelis, and hopefully, it doesn’t happen again. Also, I’ve spoken to my sales rep at CARCHEX and he sent me an email and gave me his direct contact information. So, if I had an issue or problem, I could reach out to him and that’s different than what I’ve had when I had the Fidelis account, so that personal side was helpful.

    All in all, having the protection plan is important and I’m paying a little over $5000 to protect the future issues if they may arise. And if I’m gonna keep a car for a longer period of time, and I don’t intend on getting another one in the next three to five years, then I find the plan vital, at least to protect my interest. I could gamble and not get it at all and just pay when I have a problem, but why do that if I can buy it to take care of the problems?

    I was buying a used vehicle and for the cost of the vehicle, it makes sense to protect it from future loss. CARCHEX was recommended to me and initially, they were cheaper for what I thought was equal or better allowances in the policy. It turned out that the third party vendor that they use happened to cover a handicap modified vehicle. They were able to cover more as far as the modifications go.

    The specialist was very helpful, knowledgeable and explained everything. I was talking to the initial representative’s manager regarding the modification and the particular coverage on whether it’s available or not. He was trying to make it sound that there was no other policy out there that was gonna cover that and that’s something that I’d have to have covered by the manufacturer. It turned out that wasn’t the case. This may be an exception but the company ended up acquiring one. I’m sure they work with anybody but the dealership works exclusively with them so they are more familiar with the modifications. They may also have an agreement to cover them which makes sense so, that’s what the manager explained or what he was telling us why he has been covering. It was not common that they would be covered by a list of your competitors and in this case, they were. And that made me decide to go to someone else, ultimately.

    I bought an extended coverage through another extended warranty company, Endurance. I found out that the people they call is just a broker and that the people who are selling the policy to you will tell you anything to get the sale. And when it comes down to getting things done, all these things are not covered. I needed a thermostat and it cost me $900 out of pocket, and the warranty company wouldn't pay for it. The dealership said that the radiator needed to be replaced. They don't put that on the warranty, but the rep from Endurance told me that the whole cooling system was covered when I bought it.

    CARCHEX was recommended by the dealership, and I also got positive feedback from the Mercedes dealership that CARCHEX was a more reputable company than the one I bought. They also covered more things for quite a bit more money. I had nothing but good things with the guy from CARCHEX that sold it to me, and the way he explained it to me. He called me back several times. I told him I wanted to make sure those were the parts and things that needed to be covered. Then he went back and modified it. I was told to cover the concern with smaller items that wouldn't be out of pocket instead of all the pistons on the inside.

    Having a protection plan is very valuable. I would tell others to read the policy and the things covered real close, talk to the salesman, see if he's a good guy and ensure that the parts and things that they say are covered without all the fine print. I got my brochure and I read most of it and CARCHEX covered a whole lot more things. I'm just waiting on CARCHEX to come into effect before I cancel the other one. I've been paying for that for several months, so I kept it on there just long enough.

    I have an expensive vehicle that requires expensive parts, and I know that with all cars, parts will fail.     I just purchased a vehicle and I knew I was gonna get an extended warranty but I didn’t wanna buy the one through the dealership because they're usually higher. I spoke with the specialist from CARCHEX last Thursday and he went over everything with me as far as the price and what I get in the plan. He emailed it to me and I told him that I’m gonna think about it and will also check with a couple of other companies. I did and then I emailed him back later that evening after he sent me that quote. I asked him about a higher protection because the original plan that he sent me was a little bit less coverage. And so, he sent me the new coverage that I was looking at and applied for that.

    He called me around lunchtime the next day and asked me what company I was looking at going with. I told him it was Endurance and they gave me a cash price. He talked to his manager and they beat it by $130 so I decided to go with them. I told him I wanted something in writing before I give him my credit card information and he got a little pushy at that point because they haven't got anything in writing. It didn’t go through the bank anyway and he ended up calling me back but he was very nice. A vehicle protection plan is very valuable especially when purchasing a used vehicle that is out of its warranty from the dealership or the manufacturer so everybody should get one.

    I looked into getting an extended coverage as a safety net. I called CARCHEX and they responded on time. They informed me about the plan and when I asked them about the coverage, they said yes to everything. They also said that I had to wait for one month or 1000 miles before I could make my first claim. They gave a positive answer to every single one of my negatives like when I asked why they had so many bad reviews and customer complaints. They took me down to the Better Business Bureau website and told me that they addressed all customer complaints so they have an 8+ rating with the Bureau. That convinced me to go ahead and move forward with them.

    The rep who I worked with was agitated by some of my questions but in spite of that, I got the thing done when I talked to a manager. The manager gave me the deal I was looking for. Initially, they were asking for $3,600 for the plan I was interested in but I negotiated the price to $2,800 and they accepted. That was a huge price reduction.     Having a vehicle protection is extremely valuable and the car has over 80,000 miles, so it was time to get an extended coverage. CARCHEX had better reviews online so I went with them and when I gave the specialist my information, he said I qualified for the Platinum package. I inquired about the Gold package and he described it. I told him that we should take the Platinum package so we moved forward with it. It was for three years, 45,000 miles and that’s what we wanted. Then, when I got the package at home, confirming my purchase, I saw there was a Titanium level which is above the Platinum level. I would have liked to know about it because if that is better than the one that I was approved for, then I would have liked to have the choice to understand what the better level is.

    The guy was very helpful, hospitable and informative regarding the entire plan. I have no complaints about him and I was quite satisfied with the choice that I made. But for anybody new signing for an extended warranty program, you would like to know the best options available prior to being approved for a specific class.

    I had a 20-year old Explorer that broke down on me so I've been looking for a car for several months and I knew that whatever car I was going to get, I was going to get an extended warranty. I Googled "Best Extended Warranty for Used Cars" and CARCHEX came up the top-rated one. I called and Ben was the first person whom I spoke with. I looked at a whole bunch of cars and dealerships at private parties so I called about a dozen times about different models. He was so helpful, wonderful, extremely nice, informative, friendly, wasn't pushy and I loved my interaction with him.

    He told me what cars to stay away from and what cars were good. There were a couple of cars that I looked at that had over $100,000 miles and they were only going to be able to offer me a one-year warranty. There was a luxury vehicle too and if I happen to need something fixed, they may or may not have been able to offer me another warranty at the end of that year. With those, Ben told me to try to get a car that had less than 100,000 miles on it. He took so much time and effort to talk to me and to go over things with me. I bought the most expensive one because he said that the warranty covers everything except oil changes and regular maintenance. However I did not know that there was a 90-day-3,000-mile period before I could use it.

    When I had the car inspected at a dealership, I told them I had gotten a four-year warranty and it was this amount with a $100 deductible. They asked if it covers electrical and I said that it covers bumper to bumper, top to bottom and everything except their maintenance. They looked at me and said that one had bought a warranty for their car and the warranty cost more than mine and it doesn't cover electrical. I definitely and absolutely will recommend CARCHEX to people I know.

    My experience with CARCHEX is horrible. I'm in the process trying to cancel it and the customer service totally sucks. Initially, the buying process was fine. But when I had questions about the thing, the people became belligerent. The problem is with their other provider, American Auto Shield, not CARCHEX. When I look into American Auto Shield, thousands of people are saying that CARCHEX never pays. They find an excuse not to pay, that the car has rubbed around the tires so I feel ripped off. Once I found out it was American Auto Shield and not a company called CARCHEX, I called the same day that I purchased it but they put me off until Monday to cancel it. The woman was incredibly rude, condescending, and ignorant to me.

    I have a construction business and not everything always goes perfect, not every customer is happy. And to immediately become rude and condescending is unbelievable. I was treated poorly when I decide I don’t wanna buy their product. They said that they were recording these conversations. If these people worked for me, it would have been their last day. She kept telling me that I was gonna have some problem and if that was what I really wanted to do. It is my money and I get to decide what I do with it.

    And that goes from their sales manager that I spoke to at that day on Saturday, to the woman in their cancelation department. She started sending me emails about the reliability of my vehicle and recalls that were on the Toyota FJ Cruiser. She came up with the headlights and an issue with the mounting bracket on the seatbelt. So if this is all the problems they could find with a vehicle that’s 11 years old when it comes to recalls, it’s pretty pathetic. I would advise anyone not to do business with them.

    My vehicle had just about 70,000 when I got it, and I wanted to make sure that things are covered 'cause it's a BMW, so cost can get a little high for parts and labor.     Beginning of February, my car's warranty was off. My car is a very nice top end 2014 Maxima with only 20,000 miles on it. It's 90% electric, touch screen, and all the bells and whistles. It's a sport model, Titanium and got everything. A friend of mine at work used to work for CARCHEX. And I got another referral to go to them. So I called and talked to a gentleman, named Sean. I called in three or four times. Sean happens to be local and takes his Nissan to the same place I did. He was great. He told me he'd email me and he did. I called him again and he explained the warranty to me. He knows a lot of ripoffs there.

    Since the whole warranty thing sounded good, it fit together. And God forbid something does happen, I pray that I don't have any problem getting me covered and fixed. And I hope I never have to use it. But at least it's there and I'm comfortable having it. I want everything to work perfectly. The car is in 95% immaculate shape, so little things happen. But I love the warranty and it's worth the $160 a month for two years.

    CARFAX had a link that would see if a car, based on its mileage and type, would be available for an extended warranty. Once I went into that system, I called the number, registered online, and they said that I could be covered and I wanted to get that coverage. I purchased a CARCHEX plan and it was easy and their site was user-friendly. The people on the phone were pretty professional too. The first guy I talked to was the sales rep and he discussed the coverages with me and sent things to the email while he was on the phone so I could see what was being offered. And when I told him that I couldn’t do the 18 months, he made me hold for a moment then he came back and he put a supervisor on the phone. His supervisor talked to me and he said to go ahead and offer me the 24 months. Afterward, he put the original guy back on the phone.

    It's very valuable having the extended car warranty. I had cars in the past, one was a mini van. It's was a used car and something happened to the engine. Thanks to the fact that I had coverage on that, the company tried to rebuild it but they couldn’t so they went and found a compatible engine in another vehicle and put it in. The warranty covered it well. Since this car is 2014 and the coverage lasts for six years, I thought that if anything happens to it, it would be covered. Everything was pretty good with CARCHEX. The car that I purchased, a used car, was a bank repossession and I’m glad that the previous owner did not ramp up the mileage to the point that CARCHEX couldn’t cover me. I very appreciate that they could cover me and we got the job done within 15 minutes.

    CARCHEX denied to cover the cost to replace fuel pump on my vehicle even though the inspector who they sent out official report states that fuel leak originated as follows: "Findings RFI : Found fuel tank had no impacts. Fuel tank had evidence of fuel leaking from area of fuel pump/sending unit. Found outlet port on fuel pump was broken. Port is a plastic elbow & tech states it was partially cracked & broke off completely during tear down. Also high pressure plastic fuel line shows to have been leaking above quick disconnect clamp. No impacts. Metal portion of fuel line has no abuse or corrosion. Tech states there is not a 2nd fuel line but that new part # requires the additional 2nd line. Inspector's Opinion of Cause of Failure: 1. Material failure to fuel pump outlet port. 2. Material failure to pressure line from fuel pump outlet port."

    I have had the top of the line Titanium Plus coverage for well over a year and this was the very first time I put in a claim with them. When I spoke with the adjuster, he lied to me and stated that he was saw no indication of a fuel leak coming from the top of the fuel tank. I then requested copies of the inspector's vehicle inspection which contained five pictures labeled "Top of Fuel Tank Shows Area of Fuel Leaking" in addition to the part labeled #1 above which resides on top of the fuel pump ($900.00 to replace). Some of their Customer Service Representatives were extremely rude as well when I contacted them for assistance. They basically passed me around to different claim adjusters and other Customer Service Representatives who obvious never read the vehicle inspector's report in its entirety nor did they contact the dealership to get additional information from technician.

    I just bought my vehicle and the dealer's policy seemed very expensive for the kind that they were offering. I decided to look into it myself and I pushed in the top warranty places, and CARCHEX came number two. I went to their website and then I called the number and David, the gentleman I was talking to, offered me a way better deal than what the dealership was offering me. The way we talked is like I've known him for years and he was very good at what he did. He called me back, did a lot of research for me, and gave me CARFAX. He went over and beyond for me and it was a surprise that he did. He got me quotes from other places and he took time to break it down to me and let me know what CARCHEX offered that the others didn't. And CARCHEX still came lower than them all.

    I had a really good experience with David selling the warranty to me, finding me the best ways to go and the best policy. They try to start really high and he tried to give me the triple gold to start with. But I told him what I was willing to spend and he met those needs. I was very happy with David and the service. It has been about three weeks since I got the policy and I haven't received my packet yet. But also, it's only been a couple of weeks since I had the car. And for what CARCHEX says that they cover, it would be stupid of me not to have it. I would definitely recommend CARCHEX, especially if they got a phenomenal guy like David.     I called CARCHEX and immediately the individual that I spoke with asked me some questions about who I was and where I was. Then he put me through to the individual who was the California representative. He was great and he answered all of my questions. I’m quite a researcher and I had a lot of questions. He provided me all of the information that I needed to take to my mechanic. He works with a lot of extended warranties from different companies and he went over their policy with a fine-tooth comb.

    My salesperson with CARCHEX was very responsive, too. I left him messages a couple of times and he called me back right away. I was so impressed with the information that I got from him that I really didn’t do a lot of shopping beyond that. I also liked the transparency around providing all of the details of the product. Whereas if all the questions hadn’t been answered, I might have felt that I needed to shop more and find somebody who answered all the questions.

    A car protection plan is very valuable and everybody needs to have one, especially when you're purchasing a used vehicle and in a state that is a no-forestated-issues.     I've had 12 BMWs and I've been looking for an old convertible because they dropped making the red top in 2006. So, I found one up in Cleveland about nine months ago. It had very low mileage on it so I had it shipped down here. I'm trying to keep it alive. I don't know how to drive it. I've had it for nine months and I put on 204 miles on it. I bought the contract of Carchex and their rep was great. He couldn't have been better and more helpful. I went on the internet and all glorious things that were said by Carchex impressed me. I also talked to Endurance and Car Shield. The problem with Endurance was that they have an ironclad rule that you have to go a thousand miles before you are effective to get the insurance. But with Carchex, there is an alternative of three months and two hundred miles. For me, it sounded very appealing. The plan fits me perfectly. I would recommend Carchex to anybody.

    I had a very expensive car and I knew that it could be costly to fix should anything happen so I got a warranty to make sure that it would be covered. CARCHEX made the process easy and they got to me quickly. Purchasing the vehicle protection plan was mostly done over the phone. They were transparent and showed me the contract before I purchased so I could see what was covered. They gave me a good deal to purchase and made it affordable by doing it in monthly payments. The only frustrating thing is the back and forth between the warranty company and myself. Also, if you have a warranty issue, you don't call CARCHEX, you call the warranty company. So, CARCHEX ends up just being a broker and they didn't do a good job of explaining that to people. But still, CARCHEX is better than most out there.

I called a lot of extended coverage provider, talked to them and they were all good but on the internet, it showed that CARCHEX was the best. Everything went well when we purchased the protection plan until I got the contract and it told what they won't cover. They would never tell what they do cover which I didn’t like.     When I first got my Dodge in 2007, I got into an accident. But since my car was paid off, I didn't have to worry about anything. I had to put an extended warranty on it so that if something happened, I wouldn't have to worry. I went online to check out all the coverage and CARCHEX was one of the top companies out there.     I previously had issues with other cars that I bought and I've always had CARCHEX. At first, it was really good. When I first bought this other plan for my girlfriend's car, Robbie, the supervisor, did everything he could. But the personnel who handled my case really didn't do anything at all. He didn't even close the deal. The guy said he would call me the day after or at least confirm that he received my message saying that I got the miles through the odometer but he didn't even verify that. Then, he asked questions which got me thinking, "Wait a minute! This guy is asking the question when he should know the answer if the deal was closed." Also, I was hoping I got the best possible rate for my car, that I was not getting undercut and that they were making money off of me where it's fair. But I'm paying $200 a month for the full coverage, which is pretty expensive. In general, my experience with CARCHEX wasn't very good at all.

    The extended warranty on my car expired and a friend of mine who had Carchex before highly recommended them. Buying the extended warranty was very smooth. It didn't even take us over an hour to get everything set up and get the policy instated and I was really shocked about that. Our rep was very friendly and patient.     I've been with CARCHEX for a couple of weeks now. They were one of the top-rated car warranties from a website search. Their rep introduced the program to me and answered all questions I had. He was prepared to give me some customized quotes on the first call and he was very conciliatory. He worked with my concerns and my actual needs because CARCHEX has four different levels and he challenged me with the best level. He gave me an appropriate level of coverage for my need and he asked very good questions to discover what that was.

We're going to keep the car that I have and replace a car payment so they’ll pay the car off. Assuming that CARCHEX does what it says it will do, I consider it an adequate amount to pay for that.     I did some research and the other company I found wasn’t insured by anybody else. They don’t have backing in case they go out of business so you don’t lose your money. That’s what CARCHEX told me about. After they said to go check out who back-signed their insurance, that’s when I said okay. They are the only people with actual backing from a company that I recognize. The specialist was good but he was a little pushy. Even so, he said that I could call him anytime. He gave me his extension number in case I have any more questions. I got an extended coverage for my car so I'd have a peace of mind if anything happened to it because it’s my baby. I’m paying as much for this insurance as I paid for my car, which is a BMW, so hopefully it all works out and if anything does happen, they'd cover it.     I didn’t realize that the coverage I had before was expired so I went online and Googled the best one and between CARCHEX and somebody else, CARCHEX was the first to call me back. The customer service and the deal that the rep provided me was good. He explained everything to me and he knew what he was talking about. It was a good experience.

    I’m a cost communications employee, I get a better rate and a bit of cash back at the end of the year when I go with CARCHEX. So when my coverage ended and I was shopping around for extended coverage for my vehicle, I went with them. I had a good and informative experience when purchasing the protection plan. Their reps told me everything I was getting with each particular plan I was asking about and the specialist I got was good. Initially, when I filled out the stuff, I was at work and he had no problem calling me right back on the scheduled date and time that we talked about. He told me everything I needed to get him and he got things all squared away. The two-year plan I got from CARCHEX was reasonably priced and not as expensive as I thought it would be. I've recommended them to others.

    I have a Volkswagen Jetta and it can get expensive if I take it on myself so having a vehicle protection plan is a necessity. I got something in the mail and when I read it, it explained everything thoroughly to me and I went ahead and called them up. The professionals explained things thoroughly. Everything was easy after applying and I'm satisfied with it. I had to update about three weeks ago and I'm just waiting for my paperwork to be mailed or come in.

    My vehicle was getting older. I still have my original warranty, but it was coming to an end, so I wanted to make sure that I got covered. I looked at the top 10 companies. I checked out the number one company, and they were very pushy and they didn’t explain the coverage correctly. I spoke to Joshua, the gentleman rep at CARCHEX, and he was a really good guy. He took a lot of time with me, and he went over all the coverage and the prices, including the difference in coverage. CARCHEX met the cost that the number one company was giving me. CARCHEX even did a bit better, and they were really helpful versus just trying to make a sale. With the number one company, it’s a decreasing plan where the amount of coverage decreases as your vehicle gets older. Whereas with CARCHEX, the coverage does not decrease. So it’s a flat $15000 that they’ll reimburse or pay for your car to get fixed, which I thought was a great thing.

    I’m in sales, and most of the time, salespeople are trying to make their sale and move on. I had spoken to a manager of the number one company, and they didn’t want to give me any information. Their salesperson who originally spoke to me was so short that I don’t even know how they stay in business or have an A-plus rating. With Joshua at CARCHEX, the process took a couple of days and he really stuck with me. He was very nice and informative and he answered all of my questions. Also, he gave me information that I didn’t ask because most of the time, salespeople just tell you what you need to know or what you ask. I haven't had any claims with CARCHEX because I just purchased it, but I hope they’re as good on paying the claims and holding up their end of the bargain as they were in explaining the coverage. CARCHEX was excellent and my experience with them was really great.

    CARCHEX had good reviewers online and the service was relatively simple and straightforward. When I called them, they had to transfer me to an appropriate person which was typical for California. But Ben, their protection specialist, did an exceptional job. He got back with a quote and went down for the options on it. He also followed up with emails and gave me everything that I needed. Then he called me back a few days later asking if I had any more questions and if I wanted to move forward with the coverage for the used car that I bought. And I moved forward with it, though I still had been expecting for the package to arrive. Other than that, dealing with CARCHEX on the phone and getting the process rolling was an easier experience than what I was expecting.

    My experience with CARCHEX was pretty good. It was within my car's paperwork. They calibrated that I will have bumper-to-bumper coverage when it comes to a light part on my car and I will only have to pay the deductible. Having a vehicle protection plan is really good because you never know what your five years is going to be like.

    I've never done an extended warranty and it was brought up to me. I kept looking into it and the more I found out, the price wasn’t bad and it's also being proactive, so I thought why not? I look at a vehicle protection plan as having auto insurance first with having none. It's security. You never know what's going to happen in life and anyone who drives around with the least liability on their vehicle is inept to a point. I worked with a CARCHEX rep named Ryan and he was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and there was no pretense talking to him.
