    I have an older car and after its warranty expired, I looked into an extended coverage for it.     It’s worth having coverage for a relatively new and expensive vehicle so I looked into it.     I keep my cars for a long time and even though my last car lasted about 13 years, there wasn't a lot of maintenance. But when it came, it came at the wrong moment so when I bought another car whose warranty expired last year, I looked into acquiring an extended coverage so that if something happens, I don't have to worry about anything. The CARCHEX rep that I worked with was persistent, but he was fine. I told him the first quote was a bit too much, and they worked with me to get it into a price I liked and could afford. He also explained it well so it helped. In addition, he told me that if I had any claims, he would send a hard packet and it would all be there. If I don't understand it, I have his direct number and I can call him.

    I have a used vehicle and it’s out of warranty. This car has a lot of electronics and gadgets that I wanted to be covered, as well as the engine and the rest of the car. I looked online what the top brands were and CARCHEX was rated 10 out of 10. Their rep seemed new and he was good but when I got to a certain point, he had to go to his supervisor to get information. For example, my car is a convertible and I was very specific about the warranty covering not only the mechanism that opens and closes the top but if it also covers the fabric top itself. He had to go to his supervisor and get him on the line for that.

    Also, I told him that the price per month was a little high and that I’d rather have a longer duration and smaller payment per month and he was unable to help me with that too. He had to go to his manager again but, overall, I'm happy with both the rep and the manager’s ability to answer my questions and the service that they provided me.

    Maintenance on a German car is not cheap and my car is older now so eventually, it's gonna start giving me problems. My dealership told me to get an extended warranty as it's very valuable 'cause of the year and model of the vehicle and it's going to cost $1,500 just to fix any part on the vehicle versus getting an extended warranty. Having the warranty is cheaper and it pays off on its own. The dealership also referred me to their own which was super expensive.

    I started looking for warranty providers and CARCHEX was the first one on Google. I also called another company and they told me they needed a downpayment plus monthly installments. But CARCHEX doesn't ask for a down payment and I could just make monthly payments so that was the selling point there. The rep was also very knowledgeable. I wasn't really familiar with the warranty and he explained everything to the T. He told me it covers electrical, the wear and tear maintenance on the car, brakes and all of that.

    My manufacturer's warranty was running out and I don't keep any vehicles unless I have a back-up plan for repairs. I did a lot of research online and saw some reviews about CARCHEX. Also, a guy from Endurance told me that if I didn't go with them, I should go with CARCHEX or another provider. Their price was also really high compared to CARCHEX. I had CARCHEX send me an email with the coverage inclusions and I read them before the rep called back. I told them I'll take a look at everything and did not make a deal the first time I spoke with them. I also looked at other companies and their prices and CARCHEX is the best bang for the buck.

    The overall reviews, the price and the fact that the rep got back to me all the time were the reasons I decided to go with them. The rep wouldn't let me go so the tenacity was good. I told him I had already done my research and was ready to make a deal. He turned me over to his boss who gave me a more competitive price because I had found another company that was fairly competitive but didn't have the amount of reviews that CARCHEX had.

    I believe that my vehicle is not going to need the warranty, so it’s gonna be a waste of money but I like security. So, I’m trying to get it at the right price. I inquired from CARCHEX and made a payment over the phone. I have a 30-day rescission period to cancel. I’m doing my due diligence right now and it’s very frustrating to see the fluctuation between prices on these warranties. I got a better place from the dealership with a longer time and because it’s on the internet versus a dealership, which is something that I know that I can go to and I can see, I will probably switch. Nevertheless, I read from reports that CARCHEX was a good business to buy a warranty from. Also, I like the rep I dealt with. I was impressed with his knowledge and tenacity. He wasn’t overbearing and the deal he gave me was decent.

    I recently purchased a Dodge Challenger and the manufacturer warranty had just expired a month ago.     There was another company who was giving me a coverage that I did not want. Then I went with CARCHEX. Somebody referred me to them and my dad has been with them for a long time. The representative was friendly and helpful, and they got the job done. They told me about promotions and helped me save money. They emailed me right then and there, including a receipt. I’m just wondering how the claim process goes but other than that, everything they said that they were gonna do, they did. They explained the different benefit packages too. It's very valuable having a protection plan because you never know what could happen to your vehicle.

    I spoke with a rep for CARCHEX about the best extended warranty for me and found the Diamond with add on LEP/Emissions/Market Labor Rate was best. Now 3 months later I had to use the policy to replace a part within the steering system and am finding its more difficult then I thought when making a claim. First, it seemed like once the vehicle arrived at the repair facility to the time a rep contacted me back was very quick and seemed at the time flawless, only to find out later how I felt I was getting nickel and dimed to death. This contact is very similar to others, what it covered, how it’s covered and so on, but after talking to the very friendly and kind rep it got a bit confusing. My issue is two fold over coverage description - Market labor rate add on and how it reads that section F 13 does not apply ($100.00 per hour) and based upon Repair Facility’s posted labor rate.

    Reading F 13 says the maximum hourly rate is based on Repair Facility posted labor rates. These 2 contradicts each other, basically saying the same, so what do I pay extra for? I was told they use a Nationally recognized labor guides for repairs in my area. Why does it say they will pay Posted Labor Rates and not say based off a Nationally recognized labor guides for repair rates under Market Labor Rate Option, which I chose to pay for. The diagnostic check that was completed by the licensed mechanic servicing the vehicle is something required in repairing the vehicle. Now let’s be very clear, I am not a mechanic or have any education in auto mechanics, but who are we to question a certified mechanic on how he performs his job on running the diagnostic test and how long this required step takes.

    It’s clearly written under F 4 - This contract will not cover flat rate charges for diagnosis, but I was informed that this diagnostic test was based off a time period and the repair facility gave an estimate of 1 hour to complete under the hourly rate. Again, this is a labor rate and my plan I pay for the Market labor rate option, another part of the contract that contradicts its self and told by the rep using the National guide for this procedure is 24 minutes to complete and not an hour the certified mechanic quoted. So now I’m not paying a posted labor rate, but now it’s a fee divided by 60 minutes and I will be responsible for the remaining 26 minutes, now that’s really some nickel and dime craziness.

    The second part of this fold is how they shop for a part and if the repair facility does not accept it I am responsible for the difference. Yes, it’s spelled out clearly in the contract, but I’m not a certified mechanic or work or n auto parts, so I will have to learn the hard way on this. Just a note, I will be shopping for a repair facility that fits this contract now and not following the first part that I can choose my own. Learning curve is how I will chalk this repair up. I just am finding out now (since this is my first claim) is having an extended warranty worth the fee I am paying to haggle over these small issues that contradicts itself.

    Since the coverage on this repair will still cost $300 (includes the $100 deductible) still worth continuing? I understand we do not pay for insurance with the hopes we will use it, but in the event it is needed. In essence this is basically an insurance policy on an older vehicle and I do not want to use it, but now that I have it just seems like haggling over the little stuff just might lose more customers than keeping them. I feel I did my homework on shopping for a warranty and still feel that this was the right one. I should have read a few more reviews and already found a repair facility that fits this plan instead of going to one and finding out how it really works.

    My factory warranty was gonna run out and I inquired on four different companies. The gentleman from CARCHEX was the only one who returned the call. He explained everything to me and was very thorough. I asked him a lot of questions with regards to the warranty. I wanted to make sure that I would get the coverage that I need because my vehicle is a diesel Ford truck. And he was able to answer all my questions, which I appreciated.

    After speaking with him for about 20 minutes, I called my local dealer and another dealer to find out if there would be a problem if I ever did have a problem using that company. The dealership said they don't have a problem submitting to the company to make sure that they're gonna get paid. So I decided to go with Endurance. Then I tried to buy it online but the VIN number kept blowing out. So I called up and they told me that I just needed to refresh my screen. I didn't get 14 prompts, like press two then press seven. Someone actually answered the phone. I also checked online and Endurance seemed to have a decent rating. Endurance was just a little bit cheaper than other providers but I appreciated the fact that I got return phone calls and somebody actually talked to me.

    We bought an extended warranty for a 2013 Nissan Quest. About a month later our transmission went out 1 hr from home. This is where the problem started. Here’s what happened next. We could not get a rental immediately for two reasons. One they are not open on weekends and two you do not get the rental until they approve the repair on your car. This is where the next major problem occurred. They said that we had a previous inspection and a seal was bad on our transmission so they denied the claim. We did our own research and found that the seal was on the axle boot and had nothing to do with the transmission. Then they wanted all the records for the last two years on our oil changes. Of course that has nothing to do with the transmission but we went to all the places we had gotten our oil changed and gathered up all the records for the last two years and sent them to them. It took us three days.

    Then they said they needed a report from our mechanic so we drove an hour retrieve the poor and sent it to them. Then they said that the final report we want the intake report so I Gann we were able to get that and send to them. By this time our mechanic was getting very upset at the Nissan dealership and called them himself. He explained to them that the transmission was bad. They asked him to send the entire code history so he sent that to them. Please remember this has now taken one month without a vehicle at the shop. Then they did not call us over the dealership for several days so we called them and they said that one of the codes is an electrical motor inside the transmission and they do not cover electrical components. So I asked them if I could just change out the electrical motor and car checked said no the entire transmission has to be taken out and replaced.

    So to recap I bought a warranty bumper-to-bumper powertrain also to cover transmission and engine. My transmission went out and has to be replaced that CARCHEX is not replacing it because there is a motor inside the transmission that cannot be taken out that is bad. I went without a car for over a month. This is one of the worst customer service and rip offs you can ever experience. Do not buy from CARCHEX or Car Shield.

    With regards to your claim denial, we have reviewed the claim denial. Your claim for a transmission replacement was filed 53 days from purchase with 1159 miles driven and 171,313 miles on the odometer. The administrator did require maintenance records to ensure all manufacturer recommended maintenance was completed.

    Once the maintenance records were received and verified, an inspector was assigned to verify the transmission failure. Both your repair shop and the inspector determined your transmission failure was the result of electronics sensors failing. Based on the reported codes and your shop's diagnosis, the claim was denied in accordance with the terms and conditions of your policy.

    The Power Train warranty on your 2013 Nissan Quest specifically states under transmission "Electronic components, regardless of location, are not covered."

    We do regret the amount of time spent obtaining records and proceeding with the claim. However, the claim was adjudicated within the terms and conditions of the contract.

    I purchased a vehicle and the dealership was trying to get me to buy their policy.     If you had a big investment like a Mercedes, an Infiniti or a BMW, an extended insurance is really important. I have a Mercedes Benz and my warranty just ran out.     CARCHEX used a contractor for the inspection and I relied on this report. The inspector did not drive the vehicle (for insurance reasons) and did not allow direct contact for questions. The inspector did not do a cursory check under the hood for correct fluid levels which would have revealed a bad heater core and inoperable washer. Also missed an oil soaked air cleaner caused by a bad cylinder. Other items missed include burnt marker light, inoperable dash lighting, inoperable horn, heater test, excess play in shifter and more. Owen refunded my account but my decision has cost me $5,000 for new engine and repairs.

    There was no warranty on my car and I wanted to be secured so that if anything gets wrong with the car in the future, I can get it fixed. The rep was fine and he told me everything about how to file a claim. He was a bit more like rushing me into buying the policy but that was their job. CARCHEX gave me a better coverage for the car and we scheduled the payment to go on Sunday. However, we were declined two times, and a day or two later, CARCHEX was supposed to call me and tell me that it was declined. I called them back to charge on Wednesday, but they didn't charge it and on Friday, I didn't know whether they charged me the payment. These guys just took it out without telling us.     I spent a lot of money on a used '08 BMW 335i and I wanted to make sure that it was gonna last me for a while. I was looking to get as much coverage as I possibly could without breaking the bank.     I have an old car and I can’t afford to get it fixed, so I needed help. This is the second time I’ve been with CARCHEX and my experience with their reps have been great. I needed to talk to someone that could walk me through and talk me through and make sure I was getting what I needed. And they did. I chose them the first time and I extended what I already had. I had them for two years and I extended for another two.

    I’m glad to have CARCHEX for the peace of mind. They are good to talk to and they can help you figure out what’s best for you that you can afford. However, the one time I had to use them, I realized that the policy is not that awesome. But the problem is not with CARCHEX per se but with the insurance company that they work with. CARCHEX is a good middleman selling the policy and I get the best of what I could get that I could afford from them. But it’s like with any other insurance company, they cover a certain thing but won’t cover up to what got you to that. When I took my car in one time to get something fixed, they would fix what the problem was, but because there was a problem on the inside of the problem, they wouldn’t fix that. So it still ended up costing me 500 bucks.

    When I bought the vehicle, I knew it was getting ready to go out of warranty.     CARCHEX was right on top of everything when I was purchasing the warranty. They called me back and wanted to help me out. But the protection specialist was a hustler. He tried to sell me a protection that I thought I needed. I have cancelled with CARCHEX and went with somebody else. CARCHEX wanted twice as much for the same coverage from another company. I’ve checked the Better Business Bureau and CARCHEX was supposed to be okay. But I kept looking into all these coverages and I found the parent company of CARCHEX, and they offered the same coverage for half the money.

    Also, the coverage with CARCHEX wasn't working so I'd rather just go ahead and pay for the cars to get fixed. The initial sign up process was easy enough but it got super hard when I tried to cancel. When I cancelled, they asked for a policy and a contract number which I didn't have. Also, they wanted me to write them a letter to get my money back. So what I did was I called my credit card company and I knocked CARCHEX off that way. I even carbon-copied the letter that I sent them and also sent one to my attorney because I felt like this is going to be a problem. I would recommend CARCHEX to someone else I didn't care for.

    I've always had an extended warranty on my car and when I was helping Lea get a car, I told her to always get a warranty. Although I have mixed feelings about it, I started a CARCHEX policy for Lea because I couldn’t get MaxCare. Her coverage is only for the powertrain. It covers transmission, motor, and water pump. She has over 200,00 miles and that was all she could use.

    I have mixed feeling about CARCHEX. They'd tell you what they would do, but then they don’t end up doing everything that they said. My grandmother pays over $200 a month for CARCHEX. She didn’t get the top level of coverage because she has over 100,000 miles but the car is up under the coverage. There’s a gas leak, but they said it has not failed all the way and turned her down for repair. She’s looking for another company right now. The rep that helped us sign up was thorough about what we asked. She told us what we can get and what we can’t. But I think she should have gone through and named everything that was not covered. Not just in general, but actually point out some of the things. No one I asked about the policy with has said that the thing has to go completely faulty before they’d repair it.

    Getting an extended coverage was a good thing to do as I have put a lot of miles on my car already. I did some research online and looked at different reviews, and there were a lot of the endorsements on CARCHEX from other notable consumer type sites. However, purchasing it was confusing. They need more explanation and lesser sales pitch. I would call the rep I dealt with a hard-nosed salesman. Ultimately, it drove me to say no and to wait another month and then did it online when I got an email offer just not have to deal with them on the phone. Still, you don’t get the same options online as you do when you're talking to somebody. You get a subset of options, and I can only choose between the $200 or $300 deductible. On the phone, on the other hand, there's a $100 deductible available. Still, I felt thoroughly assisted.

    I listened to what I heard and the TV advertisements, and I had very poor luck with the last vehicle because the computer went just as we got here. We were without a car for 10 months because the car was not worth the $4,000 for the computer for a start. It was too old because nobody would take care of it. So, we were concerned that if the transmission was to go which always happens. Plus, I don't mind the peace of mind. Apart from maintenance, an extended warranty works for me. We got a car that's five years old and great, but you never know. It's a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox LT1 and it had 98,000 miles on it. We got it as is, no warranty. So, we put one on it. If something goes wrong, and I'm up in Indiana or some place, I can take it somewhere and CARCHEX would pay, no problem. I don't have to put out $500 and $600 and $700 payments should that occur for transmissions, engines, drivetrains, and what have you.

    CARCHEX had the least amount of issues. I was looking at all the rest and they seemed to be the least concerned and had the least number of “ifs”. A lot of folks will sit and say they will get us because we have the fine print stuff. The lady we were talking to was very friendly, helpful and answered my questions. I was unsure about something, so I called back about this and that and she was absolutely fine. She was wonderfully pleasant. She genuinely cared about my situation, and she was happy to help, and she explained everything.

    My truck is 13 years old. I bought it in 2006 so the factory warranty went out and I extended with the factory and then it went out and they couldn’t extend it anymore. I went to AutoGuru and I ran across CARCHEX. I had an extended warranty with them before. In fact, I didn’t even know it was expiring until the other day. The purchasing process was fine. Their rep explained everything to me very well. He was patient and really took care of me. The only thing that held up the process a bit was the mileage on my truck. I didn’t know exactly what it was and when the rep processed my application, I called him again and gave it back. Then he let me know that everything was taken care of and that it’s good to go so the experience was smooth sailing.

    Having an extended warranty is very valuable because I don’t spend $3000 for a transmission. And my income is restricted so it’s difficult. Nowadays, you pay $3000 for alternator, so protection plan is very helpful. Everyone should have one. I'd tell others who would need extended protection that CARCHEX is a good place to go. I haven’t had any case of using it but for me, it’s a good program.

    CARCHEX offered coverage on emission and luxury electronics, and I don’t like to get hit with expensive repairs. However, purchasing the plan was moderately difficult. Industry-wide, all of the proprietors of extended warranties tend to be a bit ambiguous on cost as there is always a negotiation in terms of pricing. It’s not as clear-cut and straightforward as to coverage, the length of time and how much it costs. You also get bounced around to different people and you get different responses. Then you start comparing that experience with other companies, which then makes it very hard to sift through all the minutiae.

    CARCHEX is good but each person has a different piece of the puzzle and it's difficult to get a big picture. But if you’re trying to make an informed and clear decision, you have to take all the information from several different conversations with several different people and then piece it together on your own. On a vehicle that’s approaching 100,000 miles, a vehicle protection plan is important. But I'd tell someone who might ask about CARCHEX to read the fine print.

    Compared to other providers, CARCHEX had a more reasonable price, especially once I got them down to where I wanted them to be. We went back and forth on pricing and they accommodated me to a reasonable extent. The transaction was also handled well and professionally. I had a lot of questions and information, making Jason, the salesperson, go back to his supervisor to make adjustments. But he was really patient and I was impressed with his tenacity. The reason I bought the warranty was because the normal bumper-to-bumper coverage is up to three years or 50,000 miles. When I bought the vehicle, it only had 1,900 miles on it but it was gonna cross the three-year mark in a few months. That meant the warranty would have been over with. I wanted the protection for 60,000 instead of 50,000. Now that I've bought the CARCHEX warranty, I’ve got three years from the time I bought it or the 60,000.

    I’ve had CARCHEX for about three years and my experience with them has been fine. If anything went wrong with the vehicle, they fixed it. Anytime I called when I had a question, I would give them my account number, then they would tell me what was covered and what wasn’t.     The purchase experience at CARCHEX was a little bit of high pressure. They were a little pushy upfront and when I asked them questions, they kept passing me from person to person.     I’m ex-military and when I called CARCHEX, whoever I talked to was ex-military as well. He was really adamant about telling me the things he was doing and he wasn’t forward. He also made me understand that the reason that people buy the extended warranty is because sometimes, warranties don’t cover some of the work. He just explained the difference between the value I can get by going to the Diamond Plan. I know he wasn’t pressing but I told him that I would buy it because I was gonna go buy my mom’s car. So I got it on a Friday, and I had 29,750 on the truck. The car salesman told me he would give me a certain amount of dollars for my Ford going into a lease, and it would cover the difference because of my vehicle. But then I ended up buying a new car.

    I bought the new Terrain for my mom, and then I leased it. When I leased it, they said that for 80 bucks a month, they have a maintenance similar to CARCHEX, for a seven-year, 150000 mileage with a minimal deductible. And then I really liked that. All of a sudden, the dealership gave me a really good deal on my 2017, then I bought a 2019 and leased that one also. So I tried to cancel my policy with CARCHEX.

    I called CARCHEX, but I was in a meeting and told them that I would call them right back. The rep said no problem and that I didn’t have to cancel my policy. I haven’t even told him I was canceling. It was like he knew that if I was calling back, it was gonna be for that reason. I told them I would call them back at a certain amount of time. The rep called me back and he asked if I wanna cancel the coverage. He also told me what I needed to do and that he would send me an email. He said I have to fill in the blanks with everything on there and mail it to them.

    I asked how soon would my refund kick and he said between nine to fifteen days. I told him that wasn't what I was told when I bought the coverage. They initially told me that if I didn’t like it, I could cancel it in the first 30 days. The rep was definitely not the same guy that I talked to before. I told him I’m glad I’m canceling for a non-reason than customer service. He even said they were no longer with me anymore so it doesn’t really matter, and then he sent me the email while I was on the phone and he told me to just follow the steps. I also told him that I’m not canceling because I’m unhappy but because I don't have the truck anymore. He just wasn’t very receptive to that.

    I was very dissatisfied. If the rep apologized and told me that if I needed them, I could just give them a call and pass me to a friend, I would have been more than happy to take care of it. I explained to the rep that I deal with 600 to 700 people a day that own vehicles, and I’m in the maintenance system, so I’m not somebody that they should get to have a bad taste in the mouth. But he replied that it was none of his business, so I just let it go.

    I’ve had an old vehicle for a long time. I had a pretty good bumper-to-bumper warranty for it through the dealership but that expired. A couple of days after the expiration, I thought of buying another warranty. I Googled who was the best-rated company and found CARCHEX on the Better Business Bureau. I called them and then, the guy that signed me up was informative and made me feel comfortable. I got one of the better packages and since CARCHEX had a promotion with the 24-month zero interest, same as cash, I went that route. In closing, having an extended protection is important and CARCHEX has a simple process. Since I drive diesel trucks, I'm paying $4,000 for the warranty through the dealership. Meanwhile, the warranty from CARCHEX is costing me $2,200 so it was the better deal. Furthermore, it covers everything that they would offer as well as a rental car which the dealership wouldn't offer. I have already referred two people to the company.

    My daughter is two states away in college and she is a first time driver. If something was to happen to her vehicle later, I wouldn’t go out to cover it. So, I decided get an extended warranty for it. I normally wouldn't buy extended warranties, but I felt like it was worth it. I interacted with three reps from different companies and all were typical sales guys who were pushing and trying to get to close the deal. I negotiated the pricing with all of them then sat down and decided to wait a little bit and see what they would come back with. All of them told me that I needed to make a decision quickly, but I told them I didn't have to.

    They finally came back at the end of the month with the price down to almost $900 off of the initial price. CARCHEX came back with the cheapest price for the same coverage and at the time, CARCHEX was one of the top three in different rankings and locations, so I went with them. It is a good coverage, but it took a while to get there and I would have preferred if they came up with the best price upfront instead of having to negotiate hard.

    I got a 2012 Buick LaCrosse Premium 1 for my girlfriend. However, she died last year and her brother sold it to me. It’s a very good-looking well-kept car with no dings and no rust. It also has a leather interior. Everybody compliments me on it because it looks like a brand new car instead of one that is seven years old. I want to be able to keep care of the car and make sure that it stays within the realm of a nice car because it is a Buick and it is a LaCrosse and it is a Premium.

    I thought I was getting hold of CarShield and I dialed the number out of the advertisement, but I ended up with CARCHEX. The salesman told me I was gonna get a platinum thing for $150 a month that took care of everything. They more or less told me that I was gonna be getting full coverage on electronics that could go wrong and also towing. They told me to get a hold of the wait online and then get a hold of a representative for me. The only thing I’m concerned about is that if I take my car in, it is gonna get repaired.

    However, there is an awful lot of stuff in here that they won’t cover especially for electronics. These cars now are all electronic and calibrated different things on them. I’ve never had a car that was fully automated like it is with computers and everything else in it and I got a lot of electronic stuff in it. It is very valuable to have a vehicle protection plan nowadays. I know what it costs to have repairs done to these newer cars and they are not cheap. I’m on a fixed income and I’m 80 years old, so that makes a lot of difference. I got my contract and I saw what CARCHEX covers and what they don't.

    I first took out a warranty with CARCHEX in March 2016 and when it was over, my experience with their customer service reps was very painful. They were sending me notices saying it was time for me to renew my policy but they had the wrong address, so things got kinda mixed up. Also, CARCHEX took money for the old warranty and didn’t take the money for the new warranty. So they ended up taking double money out of my checking account and it messed up my checking account. I had to get my payments straight with the bank to avoid as many fees as I could.

    It was also hard for me to get a hold of CARCHEX reps and if I did, they didn’t return phone calls like they should. I used my daughter’s email at the beginning of this issue and they never got back to me through that email. Then, when I finally got a hold of them, I let them know that I had given them my new address two years ago. I wound up getting a new extended policy but it was a very disappointing experience. I thought that they took my payments for my extended warranty within a couple of hours but they took the money for the new one over the weekend. And I don’t know why they said they couldn’t stop taking the payments on the old warranty.

    I had a hard time getting my refund, too. It took me about two weeks to get my money back from the first warranty that was supposed to be automatically canceled. So things were a bit confusing at first but everything is straightened out now. They gave me 30 days or 1000 miles before I can use my new warranty. But of all the business affairs that I’ve had through the years, this was the worst experience that I had and I told them that. I was really surprised that they do business very poorly like this with a customer. Communication with the customer is a big thing so I was kinda upset because the communication was very poor. If the people at CARCHEX did their part to make sure their information was right, then this would never have happened.

    I have a Mercedes Benz and it's an AMG model, which is their high performance car. CARCHEX was pretty much right there in the same ballpark and CarShield might have been second or third. When I initially called Endurance and I told them what kind of car I have, they said they did not offer extended warranties for the AMG Model Mercedes Benz. Then I called and went to CARCHEX who said they covered it.

    My purchasing experience with CARCHEX was pleasant at some point. They were bombarding me with emails, trying to get me to sign and then each day, the price got lower and lower. So I was wondering why I didn't get offered this in the beginning. The team at CARCHEX was knowledgeable. There was a gentleman and there was that heavy sales pitch. I was trying to ask questions and he was telling me, "Pay this down and you can call us back. You got 30 days to look at it." So I was supposed to give them an x amount of dollars while I looked at the policy. And if I wanted it, I would get it. And if I didn't want it, I would have to go back and call them for them to return my money. And that was the part that didn't make sense to me. I didn't want to be nasty to the guy, but if that was the case, then he was defeating himself in making the sale.

    Eventually, I went on and got the warranty.The supervisor or manager at CARCHEX was pretty well versed in the protection plan. And then four or five days later, I got a thing in the mail, breaking down the different things as far as the contract and all that kind of stuff. For the most part, it was all right. The information was clarifying what was the in the package and speaking of that warranty. But I had already made up my mind. If I ever turn any claim with CARCHEX, and I don't care if it's the first one, and they tell me that they don't cover it, I'm gonna cancel the warranty.

    We went back and forth with Anthony from CARCHEX as far as trying to get things that I wanted for a reasonable price and whatnot, and also what I considered was a reasonable price. The guy gave me the information I asked when I asked for it and followed up with my text with the information I needed. I've been pleased with my experience with them since I’ve had the warranty since ‘08 and I just renewed. I’ve only had one situation to where it was a little stressful but everything is not perfect.

    The process of getting the people that's repairing the car is also not as fast as it needs to be. It puts a business person sort of on edge and hesitant because they have to call back and forth so much and wait for somebody to get back. It ties the company up on the phone back and forth, trying to get the approval. They’re losing money because they don’t have the time to be on that phone so if If they can make that a more pleasant experience or faster returning situation that will be a great help for clients like me.

    I can get my car done much quicker rather than it sitting there and them going back and forth, trying to get in touch with the CARCHEX and CARCHEX not calling them back fast enough. The process shouldn’t take a day or whatever because then that puts me in a rent-a-car, so it’s creating more money. They pay it out from CARCHEX. Nevertheless, I’ve already recommended them to a couple of clients and because of my recommendation my daughter got warranted for my granddaughter’s car in Memphis. It's all good.

    We’ve purchased two used vehicles and I’m taking my son to Nevada and my daughter's moving to North Carolina. I looked into extended warranties so they would have a little bit of extra protection should something happen to the vehicles that would incur a huge bill. I did some research online and felt that CARCHEX had good reviews. When I called to talk to their reps, they were very knowledgeable and they called back when I had time to talk it over with my kids to make sure that this was something that we all wanted and could afford. They even emailed things to my kids so they have those until the actual policies come in the mail. Additionally, we could do it in two years' payments instead of 18 months, which was very nice 'cause that gives us a little more freedom with expenses.     My car was about to reach 100,000 miles and my current warranty policy with American Financial Warranty Corporation was about to expire. I purchased another one with them and thought everything was fine. A few weeks later when I was really close to 100,000 miles, they sent me a letter saying that I didn’t qualify because of some missing information or some information in my application and I thought, “Now, that’s really strange.” I was kinda disgusted about that and that’s when I went to Consumer Reports and found that CARCHEX had the top-rated plan of just about anybody. I signed up with them but then, lo and behold, American Financial Warranty then sent me a letter last Saturday saying, “We’re so happy you’ve renewed your policy.”

    I contacted the car company where I’ve got the policy and said, “Thanks, but no thanks.” And about that time, the car company had refunded me the policy based on the letter I got from American Financial. I was very happy that it happened because I like CARCHEX much better than them. I bought the plan from CARCHEX on the phone and it was extremely easy. However, there was just an issue when I called them because the number I got off of the website was different.

    I was momentarily concerned that I might not have a legit company, just some entity that was trying to get credit card numbers. There are too many phone numbers associated with them and there should be just one customer service number. Other than that, CARCHEX explained that the warranty doesn’t go into effect until 30 days. Still, stay away from American Financial and go to CARCHEX. The car company where I bought my car said that they’re gonna start referring to CARCHEX instead of American Financial based on my experience.

    I just purchased my Benz from someone and got CARCHEX a week ago. My Benz is old and I wanna feel safe and secured about having to prop it along and get it fixed.     I had an old vehicle that I didn’t get a warranty on and it needed $13,000 worth of work. So when I traded it in, I vowed to get a warranty on my next vehicle.     The warranty ran out on my a 2011 Prius and I wanna keep it going for a while longer. At that point, I thought I should look into getting an extended warranty to make sure that I'm gonna get covered if I had one of the huge repair things. Priuses don't break down very much but when they do, it's very expensive to repair. I've been contacted by so many extended warranty companies in the past year. I was getting really tired of them calling me. I complained to all of them to please leave me alone and to stop calling me. They kept saying, "Last chance," but would call again. I needed to proactively do something instead of complaining and screaming all the time. I just had to trust and decide and I did. I think I made the right choice on CARCHEX and I'm very pleased with my warranty. Plus, I'm surprised that it wasn't very expensive.

    Also, I'm very happy with my rep, Benjamin. He was so nice and fun. He was a really cool cat and I really appreciate his help. I'm not very friendly sometimes but Benjamin was very kind and slow to speak to me. He calculated the mileage and let me take my time to go out there, get the mileage and do this. I appreciate that so much. He's trying to lalala on prices and said that I might want the silver and this and this. I said that I've had a brain injury and what he's doing was stuffing the cotton. I'm not stupid but I'm a very slow thinker and slow to understand. I said give me the bottom line, how much for how long and tell me what it does. He did, which I liked. He said it was gonna be $1,792 a month, this is what it does. I just have to take my card in and do this.

    I'm glad to have gotten it over with. I sent my little email thing and I had gotten the thing in the email which he said he would do, which is what I needed. I had a good experience and I would tell other people to get CARCHEX. Like the girl over by Toyota who I talk to when I have to get things fixed in my car. She rents me a car for the day if I needed it and her warranty went out too. I'm gonna go over there and tell her about CARCHEX. I'll tell her it is the best one ever. I'm also gonna share it with other people I know.

    I was with Protect My Car and a buddy of mine told me to look at other places, which could probably give me a better deal. I looked around and I saw a list, which included Protect My Car and CARCHEX.     Unexpected expenses are not fun, especially when they’re car repairs. I’ve already put a significant number of miles on the car due to travelling down to Nashville and back a couple of times a month. Now, I also do Uber part-time.     I signed up a questionnaire for CARCHEX online that said somebody will call me and they did. Every day for five days in a row, they would call and it’s either I’m not available or my wife’s car is not available. Their rep was persistent and when we finally talked he asked me what my car was including the numbers. They’re quite detailed questions and I gave them the information. They have my number plus the mileage and they sent me an email so that night I signed up with them.

    Once I signed up I called them and asked for some information but nobody called me back and I wish they would. I wanted them to send me an email so I can have an account number and sign up for monthly payment through my bank because the initial payment was through a credit card and I don’t wanna keep on paying through that. It was a burner credit card which means if the bill goes through it during that time, it will be rejected and I’ll end up with a late fee for charging. Also, the email that they initially sent before I signed up said a discount but they never offered it. They said I also have a military hero discount but they never offered me that.

    I bought the car used and the dealer kind of wove the warranty into my financing. But the warranty was expiring and I was having trouble finding another one. I got something from Fiat and I talked to them but it was pricey. CARCHEX's pricing, on the other hand, was a bit better and the plan was very comprehensive. Also, the sales rep who sold it to me was really clear and detailed. He was good because for me when you’re dealing with warranties, like the warranty I have, everybody’s always trying to say you get different warranties and then when you need to use them, they never work. I was grumpy ‘cause that day I was trying to get something covered on the car and I wasn’t sure it was gonna happen. He was so patient and said that he hopes it gets covered.

    I didn’t feel like he was trying to talk me into doing something that I didn’t want. Sometimes when you’re telling somebody, “All right. Here’s the deal,”, they’ll come back to you and tell you why you’re wrong. And that’s annoying. The rep, however, said he completely understood. He was great. I got really busy and forgot about it but he was consistently following-up a few times until I decided that I wanted the warranty. I'm hoping that the plan I purchased is valuable in case something goes wrong. I feel a good sense of peace of mind.

    We bought a used car and the warranty on it played out. The dealership offered extended coverage and it was a lot of money. I called Ryan from an ad on the television and I said we would call CARCHEX. We thought we should get it because it covers everything our insurance doesn’t cover. The price was a lot better than the dealership.

    Ryan was helpful, answered questions and did not seem pushy. We said we had to wait and think about it because we were going through a thing with the dealership and we wanted to know if it was gonna be taken care of. He said that it was fine. If all of CARCHEX's salespeople were like Ryan, they are gonna make a trillion dollars. Then he called back on the last day of the month and said that instead of 18, they were gonna extend the payment to 24 months. It was a lot less than the one the dealership offered. I thought he was keeping us in mind, which I liked. I figured Ryan will be there whenever we need him. He said to be sure and look over our contract when we get it and the things that CARCHEX lists.

    The last thing he said was that it has roadside service. I asked if we were getting a lot of duplicate services because our insurance covers roadside service. He said our insurance covers accidents and crashes, but the warranty covers everything, like if the engine doesn’t work anymore. When you get an extended coverage, even though it is so much a month, it will pay for itself. The one time you use it, it will pay for everything for the two years since you’ve had it.

    I have a Porsche and the maintenance on that is expensive. Also, the parts are expensive. With it being already outside the manufacturer’s warranty, I wanted to have extra coverage. CARCHEX worked with me on the price and brought it down from $300 to $200. They didn’t haggle me and the quote at that price was for all the big stuff, like the engine, the transmission and the electrical system. Everything was pretty much in there at that price. On the other hand, CarShield quoted me $150 down and $100 a month but it would be only the big stuff or only the electrical, the smaller stuff. It wasn’t a combo of both like CARCHEX’s.     When we bought our vehicle, I thought that like many of our cars in the past, we would be keeping it for eight to ten years. After purchasing the contract for an extended warranty, I got to thinking in depth about this and the primary reason that we bought the car was for safety reasons and because over 50% of the driving of it is going to be done by our children.     I can’t imagine life without a vehicle insurance. The car that I traded in was a ‘99 Chevy Monte Carlo and it didn’t have an insurance for years, but I didn’t feel like I needed insurance because the car was paid off and I never had anything major go wrong with it.     My husband is a mechanic and he used to do all the work on my car. But he’s getting older and he doesn't wanna do it anymore, so I needed to find something so I wouldn’t be stuck with a repair that I couldn’t fix and he didn't wanna fix. I initially went online and did a Google search to find out what are better extended warranties and I got the two top ones--CARCHEX and Endurance. CARCHEX got to me first, but Endurance called and they came at a lower rate and offered the same amount of years but more miles. I was gonna go with them but then I called CARCHEX back and talked to a nice guy. His name is Adam and he was very nice and informative.

    He looked at the contract that I was going to get with them and he told me it was missing a lot of stuff, so I was very happy about that because most companies just want your money and they don’t go the extra mile. Adam was just upfront. Then after I went back, reread the contract and looked over a few things that Adam had pointed out, it was not worth going with Endurance so I called and canceled them and stayed with CARCHEX. The only thing was when I first signed up with CARCHEX, I thought I was getting CARCHEX but I’m not. My car is actually being done by American Auto Shield.

    When they asked me how many miles I drove a year, I told them between 18000 and 20000. I got a 5-year plan with 75000 miles and that’s 15000 miles a year. They said that if I happen to reach the end of my miles, they would redo my policy. I didn’t wanna redo my policy in five months but I was hoping to get more miles out of the five years since I drive almost 20000 miles a year. That was a bit of a downer but it’s okay for the amount of money that I have to spend.

    My extended warranty had run out but I benefited from it so I wanted to continue having one. But the one that I had was only on purchase of the vehicle so it wasn't renewable.     I had extended one time before on the Cadillac, so I was looking to get some more ‘cause that extended warranty had wore off and it was time to replace some more on there. I looked at two companies and definitely went with CARCHEX because I’m a member with LegalShield and they represented them pretty highly.

    The rep was pretty good because I had to deal with him a couple of months ago, and I decided, “Hey we really need to get it”, so I called him back and he was really nice. He explained a lot of different things that we’ll get with this contract, too, and that’s what made me go back to him.

    I thought the cost of their policy could have been a little bit less, but that was the price that he quoted, so I went on with it ‘cause some other company was a little bit higher than that. But for what the coverage is, I feel pretty good because it covers a lot of the engine, a lot of the electric since it’s a plus, and I feel a little comfortable with it. If it comes down that I really needed them for particular things to get done, that it will be taken care of with that contract. I would recommend CARCHEX.

    BEWARE! Thought I would give this company a try. I talked with Ben **, he didn't tell me over the phone all the limitations, waiting and the deductible. When I read the sample contract that was emailed after the verbal approval I immediately emailed back to cancel the transaction. 48 hours later I get the next email back from Ben that he can't cancel. I have to talk to the customer loyalty department that as of now is not available. I was on hold then a recording states, "No one is available to answer your call." I still have an powertrain warranty and parts of the contract duplicate the same warranty. Difference, I get new parts if I have a problem, Not like or same as on the car. In other words, they can go to pick a part and use it on your vehicle.

    I previously traded in a vehicle over 100,000 miles and it needed work done. I paid for it and it still needed more work done so I purchased a used vehicle and I decided to get an extended warranty for it because it was over 100,000 miles. I looked online and in the top 10 warranty companies, CARCHEX was listed as number three. I contacted the top three and CARCHEX was the first one to get back with me to let me know that they can cover the vehicle and in full, such as the brakes and suspension, so I went with them. They were a bit more expensive but they cover vehicles with over 100,000 miles which was pretty good.

    I had a smooth transaction with the specialist and I didn’t feel pressured to purchase a warranty. They let me know that there were things I could look at online prior to my warranty coming to the house so that I would be more aware of what they cover. The customer service was good and they were friendly on the phone. CARCHEX is doing well although they are $50 to $80 more than other warranties which can be an issue if they don’t live up to their reputation of fixing my car when there are certain things wrong. But as far as experience, it was great. Having the protection plan was one of the biggest reasons why we were able to buy a vehicle with this amount of mileage on it because there was going to be an extended warranty. The whole purpose of having a warranty is I can get what I need to be done when I need it.

    CARCHEX's reps helped me get coverage for our used car so if anything happens to the vehicle, I won't have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. They did their job and the telephone conversations I've had with them have been fine. However, I wasn't told in the beginning that the price would go up. It increased since past month and the original plan I had expired and it is no longer available. We would have to get another one and it's more expensive. Still, I like having a vehicle protection plan. You never know what will happen and if you don't have it, you'll be up a creek without a paddle.     I have contacted the Carchex customer service and HQ office since April 2018, trying to get resolution to my auto repairs that I have been paying fees to cover. Carchex has given me the runaround with the issues with my car warranty providing subpar and beyond poor service. First, I purchase the Technology Package for this car warranty last year. I found out later that in their internal computer it states I have lesser package but on my printed documents it states I have the Technology package that covers my repair challenges. Secondly, I started calling in April 2018 when my air conditioner, water pump, and passenger window started malfunctioning. I have been waiting for verbal and written authorizations for these repairs to be performed since I purchased the Technology package to cover these items.

    After waiting, I visited my local auto repair company who provided an estimate to Carchex in the interim. The repair company and I are still waiting in July 2018 to hear from CarChex to resolve these issues and repairs. Although Carchex says it is "committed to providing the best products and the best service in the industry", the fact is their commitment is just on paper but not in execution. Jason ** is a polite man, but he has no integrity and his customer service is absolutely terrible. As my original account executive, it always takes weeks for Jason to return phone calls after making the sale. I believe I am being led on just to pay my warranty charges, but not to receive any service or help with my situation. I have tried to contact his superior, Tom, but to no avail.

    I have paid for the "Technology Package" to be on my warranty and it's clearly stated on my contract, but any time I need my car serviced, I am told that I do not have the "Technology Package". When I purchased my contract, I was told that due to the amount of miles on my car I would have to pay a higher deductible which is no problem. Needless to say, I use to be a faithful client to Carchex, referring others to them. But their poor response time, mishandling of what is covered on my warranty, confusion over the package I have, and lack of attention to details does not promote customer loyalty. Just last week, I was told by Jason everything was approved but the TPMS Sensors.

    After contacting the Royal Administrator, I was told that based on the policy I have, only the window motor and water pump is allowed. Once again, more confusion. I do not understand why it takes over four months to get my car issues resolved. Therefore, same yourself from the grief, do not used Carchex as it appears they are totaling fine with taking your money, causing confusion, and not handling your claims in a professional, efficient manner.

    My husband and I purchased a warranty for $3000 over a month ago by phone. He called and got a quote, and clearly stated my mileage. We decided to wait and shop around. He called back two weeks later, gave updated mileage, and made our purchase. First, I never received my welcome package. Then, last week, we were trying to get in contact with Carchex to see where our welcome package was, but every time my husband called, he got a voicemail saying the office was closed, even during business hours! So we looked up our email receipt from our purchase to find our sales associates number. When we clicked on the link to find his information, we noticed Carchex listed our mileage almost 12,000 miles HIGHER than what our vehicle has and what we CURRENTLY HAVE ON THE VEHICLE!

Now, no one will answer our calls, even during business hours! What if something would have happened to our vehicle?? If Carchex will correct the issue, I will update my review.     I ended up going with Endurance for multiple reasons. One they offered a end to end while Carchex does not. Two I liked Endurance sales tactics better than Carchex. Carchex takes this very aggressive give me your card number and then learn about the plan. While Endurance was let me answer every question and if you want then give me the card number. Both tactics are fine, but Deshan ** seemed not to want to answer all my questions after I purchased the plan. He answered one and then ignored the rest. While Endurance spent time answering my questions and didn’t seem annoyed by them. This is a business - you gotta answer your customers questions.

    My father is 93 and he was asking about an extended warranty. We also wanted protection for the car that he drives and if anything happened to it, it would be costly. I liked the rating of CARCHEX on the internet and their rep knew what he was talking about, explained it well and we just changed our minds. Plus, he called back when he said he would. But after thinking about it, with this low mileage on the car, not much is gonna happen in the time that my father is using it. So, that’s why we decided against it. We need to cancel the accounts because that’s 3,000 a piece which is too high and that’s what my father would like me to do. For someone who has a car with a higher mileage, a vehicle protection plan is valuable but for us, it is not. Still, check CARCHEX out. They have a good rating but they’re just not a good fit for us.

    My car was over 130,000 miles and I googled what were the top companies to get extended coverage from. The first one was Endurance and CARCHEX was number two. I spoke to a rep at CARCHEX and then I was transferred to the supervisor, and they were awesome. I told them I talked to Endurance and they would tell me at the time they were gonna extend it. So CARCHEX quoted me a different amount that was much more affordable and I decided to do that one. They were very helpful and they went out of their way to make the coverage where I can afford it, which was what I needed. It was very important for me and they did that.

    My truck is almost 10 years old and it has over 100,000 miles on it, so things are gonna start breaking down. On a 10-year old car, having a vehicle protection plan is very valuable. There were a couple of companies that I called and CARCHEX was one that worked with me. When I told the rep that I wanted to know what their different policies were and I asked that they send them to me by email, they were more than willing to do that. I told him I would call back and I never did, but he followed up and answered my questions and never pressured me. When he finally called me, I was in a time and place to actually make the deal, so I took out my credit card and I took care of it. Every other company was trying to sell me something and I don’t respond to high-pressure sales, so I hang up the phone or I walk out of the store.     I bought a car that was a little older and I couldn't get a coverage for it. So I wanted to go ahead and get an extended coverage. Purchasing a protection plan from CARCHEX was easy. The guy I spoke with gave me the prices on some of the best coverage and told me everything I needed to know. He got it done quickly too. Furthermore, he was also able to answer all the questions I had and he was able to go into the details of what the plan covered.

    While the people at CARCHEX are honest, some people may not be able to afford the highest coverage. So they should start with the lowest and tell them what they will be getting. By the time they get to the highest, they'll be able to have their mind set on what the best coverage will be. In closing, having a vehicle protection plan is valuable cause you never know when something could happen. It's always good to know you're covered when it comes to certain things with your car. Given my experience, I would recommend CARCHEX and if friends would ask about them, I'll ask what kind of car it is and what coverage are they looking for. Then, I would definitely go into detail about the actual coverage that I have and see if that's what they wanna do.

    It’s really valuable to have a vehicle protection plan. I’ve always had a vehicle and it’s senseless to drive around without a warranty.     Having a vehicle protection plan is great for what I bought which was a salvaged title vehicle. It only had 20,000 miles on it and I was looking to put a warranty on it. Prior to CARCHEX getting back at me, I checked with somebody else so I knew what the price was going for a vehicle protection plan. The person I worked with was good and he did everything professionally. I tried to get the price for $85 lower and he talked to his manager, and they went ahead and got it to $85 lower. I may end up getting other insurance through them as he told me that they go in with car tax as well and that’s always a plus for me.

    Having a vehicle protection plan seemed to be the intelligent thing to do and it made reasonable sense to me. I signed up with Ryan and he was very accommodating, and he's probably the reason I decided to go with CARCHEX. He was informative and helpful.     When you buy a used vehicle, you don't know what you're getting. But I know what I have because I've taken care of it. I was either going to extend the coverage on my car or buy a smaller car but since I had invested so much in my 2006 Ford, I just spent as much money getting an insurance to cover any malfunctions down the line because I really take care of my vehicle. I found CARCHEX online, called in, signed up and paid the money. They deduct the fee from my checking account so I don't really feel it. I don't mind investing the $134 month for 24 months to get me along for three years. I'm 75 years old and I'm not gonna be around forever. So, I just want to have a nice, comfortable vehicle to get around then. But sometimes, it's a hassle proving that I need coverage on something.

    One time, I had an accident. I had a little issue with the doors not closing and at first, they told me it was covered. And then, they told me it wasn't. And then, they told me it was. So, I took the car to my Ford dealership before they changed their mind. They took care of the damage, I paid my $100 and that was it. But they didn't really mention the options available during sign up. They told me they'd send me the manual that has everything in it, but there's just a lot of pages in there and then there's a fine print. And if it's in the fine print, you don't really read it until you need it. And they'd say, "Well, you didn't read page so and so? Well, it wasn't covered." Nevertheless, it's good to know that CARCHEX is there. It looks like any insurance wherein you don't really know until you need it. But if you do, you know it's there.

    I bought a vehicle and thought maybe I would want to get some extended coverage to be protected for the future. The guy that called from CARCHEX was super friendly. He should get a raise. He told me what the product was but the cost was too much to start with. But then he put some supervisor on the line and he helped.     The vehicle that I purchased had more mileage than what I'm used to and is more of a luxury car, so I wanted to make sure that it was covered. I wouldn't be paying extra out-of-pocket for any problems I'd have possibly down the road, so I acquired an extended coverage. I was doing research and CARCHEX was the only company that came up.

    The protection specialists that I worked with tried to find what was best for me, made sure that the price was good enough for me and did not try to overprice something or have me overpay when I wasn’t comfortable with it. They made sure I was okay before they went ahead or made sure I was comfortable with whatever they were offering. They thoroughly assisted me and went a little beyond my expectations. However, I didn't sign anything or agree to them taking out any money. I was taking a flight and paying for my bags, and I looked at my account and I only had a dollar in there.     Last March 19th I bought a BMW 328i. It's a 2014 and it had 46,000 miles. It's a very expensive car to maintain and I wouldn't buy a car like that unless I had a warranty on it. So I had bought an extended warranty from the dealership. But when I checked into it, I discovered that I got a bum rap. I can't allow myself to be put in a situation where I have repairs and only to find out that the warranty is no good. So before that happens, I proactively decided to go with CARCHEX after I went on Google and did some research. I was very pleased with their A+ credit rating.

    Purchasing the warranty was good. The agent that dealt with me was very knowledgeable, professional, helpful and very good at what he did. I would do business with that particular agent again. When he wasn't able to answer some questions, he brought his manager on the phone. I was very impressed with that. One of the things that really got me sold on CARCHEX was that he was the one who looked up on Google Maps the warranty company that I got from the dealership and saw that the company was in business for less than two years, doesn't have a website, was not with the Better Business Bureau, and was really in a house. I wouldn't buy anything from a company that was in business for less than two years if I knew about it.

    Initially, that company told me that I have 48,000 miles, 48 months warranty. But when I called, they told me that I only had 24 months and 24,000 miles. That was what got me going and I went and filed a claim in the small claims court to get my money back. Hopefully, when I get that money back, I'd be able to pay off my obligation to CARCHEX.

    CARCHEX also sent an email after the transaction with all the information and how to contact them. They walked me through the process of looking at their website and all that good stuff. They were very thorough. I'm really impressed with CARCHEX and from my initial experience with them, they're a great company. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. I hope that if I ever have to file a claim with them, I would be equally impressed.

    The dealer warranty on my vehicle was up and I got extended coverage for it. I went with CARCHEX due to their ratings. I checked out two other warranty providers and one didn't have good ratings. After hearing that I had a quote from the other company that had good ratings, CARCHEX gave me a price that saved me $9 a month and they ended up beating the price out of this company.
