Having a vehicle protection plan is valuable depending on the vehicle, and it was definitely valuable in my vehicle's case. My vehicle looked like it was in really good shape, but had over 200,000 miles on it, so I thought it would be best to check to see if an extended warranty was available for it. CARCHEX was recommended by Kelley Blue Book, so I thought that was a fairly good recommendation. When I purchased the warranty, the representative answered all my questions satisfactorily and was very prompt with the information. The one thing that I have not received yet is the documentation which I assume that they were going to mail to me. Yet as a whole, the purchase process was very easy.

A mechanic who is a friend of mine recommended that I get an extended coverage for my car. I’ve found CARCHEX on my own, but he recommended the aftermarket insurance. CARCHEX continued making contact with me, and in the end, I wound up talking to three different people. They had a promotion going on the day I signed up. It was their end of the year promotion, so it was the last day of 2018, and there was some kind of a percentage off. CARCHEX's customer service treated me reasonably well. I did plenty of customer service training, and so I would put them at par with people I work with. But I would’ve liked more detail. Also, I haven’t gotten anything in the mail yet or any policy coverage explanation.

Every person I have spoken with have been exceptional with their care towards my needs. I would highly recommend them to family friends or even professional contacts. New cars have so much electronic stuff and that's where you can really run into a lot of cost if any of that goes wrong. So when my regular coverage was about to expire, I went online looking into extended coverage. CARCHEX had a good 5-star rating and the people that walked me through things seemed to be very knowledgeable. I talked to two people, one was the guy who explained the policy and then the other fellow who talked about the finances. I researched a couple of providers, and compared to another company, I have a better value with CARCHEX -- smaller copay, better coverage and a smaller premium. So far, I am very satisfied and have had a very good experience purchasing the protection plan.

No one likes to be without a warranty. Somebody mentioned CARCHEX so I made a call and the salesperson whom I spoke with said that the best time to get the warranty would be right then. In another year, it would be a little more expensive. Buying my warranty from them was very easy and their rep was pleasant. It's been valuable to me thus far.

I bought a used car and got an extended coverage to save cost. I compared the coverage with Kia and looked for whichever offered the most. CARCHEX was less expensive and it has better coverage. The warranty covers everything except wearables. The only complaint I have is that I haven’t got any documents yet. I haven’t got anything in the mail from them. Otherwise, I had a good experience with their certified vehicle protection specialist and the purchase was easy.

I’m not pleased with the reliability of my car so I wanted cheaper repairs. CARCHEX was one of the very few that got back to me when I asked them for a quote. Their rep was very polite. He gave me all the information I felt I needed. He gave me some time to decide if I wanted to go with them or not. It was no pressure. He wasn’t calling me or hounding me. I called them back at my choice and got it done. The purchasing process was very easy as well. I would highly recommend them.

Our other warranty was ending and we wanted to keep our car covered. I read about various ratings online and CARCHEX and one other company had the best rating. We chose to go with CARCHEX. We inquired and they sent us some email documentation. They sent us everything in advance so we could review it. Then they followed up over a two-week period because we didn’t have time to get to it. On their first follow up, I told them when to call back and they did. Everything went well with the procurement of the policy. It took 90 minutes and it was very easy. We just got the policy in the mail. CARCHEX seems to have all the coverage we were looking for. It's really valuable if your car breaks and I expect it'll work out fine. Hopefully, if we ever have a claim, there won't be any problem or issues. So far, I'm pretty satisfied with CARCHEX.

Our warranty was ending soon and we looked into extended coverage. I started with Google, made some phone calls and looked at a lot of ratings. I was speaking with Ben from CARCHEX as well as another individual from another company. And we ended up going with the other company. When that took place, Ben called to follow up, and I told him that we were going with this other company. He knew of them and he was actually warning me. He said I should check into it 'cause the other company was actually a scam. I thanked him and told him I would look into it. Indeed, the other company was a scam. Our bank was able to stop that payment, and so after all that was cleared up, I ended up calling Ben back with CARCHEX 'cause that was our second choice. I thanked him for his attention and the customer care in our place. I would recommend CARCHEX. Definitely check them out.

I spoke to the people at their Royal Administration, they have no knowledge of what they are doing. You don't put used parts in an engine or on it. It just is not done. But there it's a norm. I am schooled trained Transmission specialist. I have rebuilt engines. This one thing we were told not do. Also the billing work being done. Use what the last expensive for their Clint, CARCHEX. We don't want to make the mechanic unhappy do we.

I got a car for my son and I felt like getting extended coverage was a good deal. It’s an older car and it's gotten over 100,000 miles. And in his job, if he has a breakdown with the car, I'm not gonna be able to just dole out what it would cost to fix the car with everything. So this way, it gives me peace of mind. I went online and CARCHEX was one of the ones that were recommended. Their rep was very helpful. I already knew what I was gonna do, so he didn’t really have to sell me anything. We just worked through it and we got signed up pretty quickly. He was fine. He also seemed to be confident and knew what he was doing.

Our Ford Escape is getting to an age where stuff starts to happen. Last year, I had an expensive year of repairs. I saw the writing on the wall and I wanted to keep the car for the long term. The purchasing experience went well. I talked to someone a few months ago, they didn't really follow up, from another company. I got an email and just looked into it. It seemed to be a good plan. Their certified vehicle protection specialist was very professional and we had a good interaction. Having this warranty made me feel having good peace of mind.

Cars appear to be costly when having a new vehicle. I got a coverage for my 016 Chevy Malibu from CARCHEX. Its rating and reviews made me go with them. Their vehicle protection specialist was good. I was looking for a full coverage on my vehicle like I almost just as I would have gotten it with a regular bumper-to-bumper coverage. There are no wear and tears and anything considered normal maintenance. Purchasing the warranty from CARCHEX was easy. My experience with them was good.

When buying a car, if the person selling you the vehicle is trying to keep you from leaving, then 9 times out of 10 it’s a bad deal. But the person who knows they're giving you the best deal and coverage out there is gonna let you go if you wanna go and search. The people at CARCHEX, however, were confident and I like that. It was kind of a given to get an extended coverage for my Mercedes-Benz because their parts are expensive. And insurance doesn’t really cover everything that you need so you wanna make sure that you’re covered and that you’re getting a good deal. It’s a luxury vehicle and you wanna keep up with it.
I liked the way that the CARCHEX representative was speaking to me. It didn’t seem as if it was totally sales-driven and it was like they were looking out for the best interest for me. The gentleman I spoke with was very knowledgeable as pertaining to the coverage, which I liked. If he didn’t know the answers to some of the questions that I had to ask him, he was honest and he went out of his way to make sure that I would get the answer. He didn’t just say, “I don’t know,” and stopped there. He made sure that he got a supervisor to gain more information to let me know. As far as the understanding part, he wanted to make sure that he covered every nook and cranny, and he did, so he got me there.
It was around the holiday season and it was busy. I have four children, so my schedule is hectic but the rep followed up with me, and that was what got me to go along with it. If he didn’t follow up with me, I probably would've, on my own time, searched for something else. He got me at a good time and gave me the necessary space in between. From the first time that we spoke until the second time that we spoke, he gave me that space and he let me know a really good deal.
I wasn’t too familiar with warranties and I’ve had other people call me as well. But those other people weren’t trying to see if there was a better option or something that was more suitable for me, and CARCHEX did that. When the rep started listing some options, there were some things that I found out that I really don’t see any fit for. But he was able to accommodate that and I like that because sometimes, when you talk to sales associates, it’s like they’re robots. If you ask them anything outside of the ordinary, they’re like, “Wait. What? That’s not how the call is supposed to go.” I hope that every associate is like the one that I spoke with because he was totally awesome and great. He remembered that I have children and he knew I was busy around that time, but he was compassionate about that which was neat and I like it. I would recommend CARCHEX. The people are realistic, honest, suitable, convenient and flexible.

The purchasing process with CARCHEX was good. I initially interacted with a rep but then he started being too pushy because I liked to really discuss things over before I purchase stuff. The annoying phone calls could have been improved. I'm the type of person, if I wanna buy something, I don’t need any salesperson calling me every day or every other day. So, I ended up buying the warranty three weeks later by just going through the website and buying it. But CARCHEX seems to be a legit and a pretty good company.

CARCHEX sold me a Royal warranty, which is like a switch and bait... CARCHEX has great reviews... but doesn't tell you, they are a "Selling Agent" as I was advised today. I was told on my first repair, by the adjuster in Texas all the amounts he was covering including rental of a vehicle over the weekend. Monday, I picked up the vehicle, Royal's agents in Massachusetts adjusted to lower what was originally agreed to, and removed the rental coverage. Several months later, I have another repair needed, and they are covering, exactly, nothing. This is a horrible warranty company, I would never ever do business with this company. Sad part is I did all my due diligence in research and reading fine print, and nowhere did it say I was being sold to branch arm of another company under their umbrella. I am canceling warranty today and paying the shop.

I did a search on warranty companies, and I called the different companies and gave them my requirements. CARCHEX came back with the most comprehensive plan at the most affordable price. I ended up going with them because of coverage and pricing. The rep knew of the coverage that was gonna be provided and what the exclusions were. When they gave me a price and I kinda explained to them it was more than I anticipated, they were the only one that went out their way to go to a higher level to see if they could reduce the pricing of it, which they did. I had a pretty good deal and they would be the first company that I recommend.

I was impressed with CARCHEX because they were so persistent and they kept calling me back. But they were not hounding me. I told them to call me on certain day of the month because I only get paid once a month. I talked to a manager there and they worked out for me. I'm a disabled vet, and Raul and his boss, Danny, bent over backwards to accommodate me. I appreciated that. So, I'll bend over backwards to make sure they get the payment. Also, Raul would always call me back whenever I asked him to.

We got a used vehicle that had over 100,000. I know that I can't afford anything major to happen to a vehicle, so I might as well get a warranty that'll cover all of it for me, for my peace of mind. I looked at a few companies and CARCHEX covered the most, had better reviews, and popped up as the number one for 2018. Most people said CARCHEX was good.
Purchasing the plan went pretty well and easy. I just told them the year, make and model and what I needed, what I felt most important to be covered, and they set me up with a plan of what they thought would be best to be covered for my vehicle. It went pretty smooth with the rep. I didn’t really see any improvement they needed. I looked through my contract and my warranty covers the previous amount of the vehicle, almost all of it, to be exact. I've recommended CARCHEX two or three times to people that have used cars, tired of having to pay for things and who won't be able to afford a new motor if it wears out.

After taking my 2012 Ford Edge to the Dealer 4x, for 1 week's worth of A/C each time - they couldn't fix it. I took my car to Davis Auto; they fixed it in 4 days... It only cost me $250 deductible. Beautiful!!!

Salesperson was very nice and answered all my questions. Told me about the thirty day cancellation policy. I ordered a warranty that day but decided the next day to go in another direction. I called customer service to cancel. The rep said she would email me directions on how to cancel, guess I couldn't just do it over the phone. She sent an email that did not include cancellation directions. I emailed her back requesting the proper information but got nothing. I emailed the sales rep for the same info and have received nothing. Apparently they are good at selling but not in cancelling. I have to now dispute the charge with my credit card company. Not happy!

When we purchased the car, we were offered extended warranty at the dealership but I told them no and that I would get it through USAA like I normally do. I called USAA the next day and they said they no longer do extended warranties so I was forced to go online and look up who all said would be the best one to go through. According to what I read online with Consumer Reports, CARCHEX was a good one so I went through with them. The CARCHEX rep was really nice. She asked what kind of car we bought and they offered a policy that we thought was perfect for what we wanted. We did everything about the purchase over the phone, so it was easy. The rep said that I'll receive my policy in about a week and I'm still waiting for it to arrive. I'm satisfied with everything so far.

I asked the representative from CARCHEX questions about the longevity of the company because in this industry, especially with car warranty, there are so many fees out there. I’ve been taken advantage of before. And so, I felt very confident with him that he was definitely aware of the product. I told him about my concerns and where I was at with buying the product. Every time a claim had been submitted it was contested including having the dealership call me to say I don't have a contract (TWICE). After several hours of my time on the phone I was told it was a computer error. They don't cover rust issues so if you live in the rust belt not worth it. I had an issue with electrical - wouldn't cover diagnostics until I spent hours on the phone.
Finally if you own a 4X4 and use it in the parameters that it was designed for they will not cover repairs. Went to 4X4 Beach NC going to a house we rented and got off on the soft shoulder, decided it be best to put the truck in low four wheel. After putting in neutral and switching to Low went to accelerate and front differential broke resulting in having to be towed. This all happened a few days before Florence hit the area. So their first try was to state it was a ACT OF GOD so therefore not covered, second was to tell me I should report it to my insurance company because it was an accident and third was I was off road, so not covered. Oh another thing - they pay a MAX of $75.00 for towing, my bill was over $800, which is an entirely different issue.

I have a 2017 Dodge Laramie with all the electronic bells and whistles. According to ConsumerAffairs, it's not the most reliable truck and the one I have is out of warranty. I figured getting extended auto coverage was a good thing to do. Getting a vehicle protection plan from CARCHEX was easy. Their salesman told me how good their warranty was and how bad other companies were and I believed him.

My other coverage was running out and I wanted to extend my vehicle's coverage. It's very important to have coverage and I chose CARCHEX because they had a decent Better Business Bureau rating. Since I've had extended warranties on my vehicle before, I knew what I was looking for. I told them that and they told me the cost and what it was. They also tell you what's covered over the phone but that's not the contract. They would mail it to you within 14 days, which is kinda backwards. They should be able to email you the full contract.
Plus, you pay the downpayment before you even get the contract. And that's the thing. I would usually never do that but I used a credit card, where I can just cancel it. I've gotten the contract but I'm gonna call them because with the wording in there, you would need a lawyer. I'm also probably gonna end up canceling this because with what they write in there, they try and get out of what they're supposed to cover.

I looked into Mopar earlier, and they were cheaper but it looks like the warranty is a bit better as far as things they cover on CARCHEX. I spoke with their rep and he explained that they have a two-year, zero-interest offer for 70-something a month, so I chose that one. He was a good salesman, and he did a good job. My husband listened to him, too.
CARCHEX sounds like it would be better than Mopar if I have an issue. And hopefully, I would never have to use it, but if I do, then it sounds like that even if the issue isn’t approved, they’d still look into it. It sounds like they wanna work with you instead of sending you away. My husband has CARCHEX for his warranty, too. He got his warranty for a very good deal because he got it within a week of purchasing his car. So, the earlier you purchase it, the better. I waited two and a half years, and that’s why mine is a lot higher, but his is very good.

My coverage was running out, and I needed to get more. CARCHEX popped up and I had a good experience purchasing extended coverage from them. Their guy was helpful and informative. He wasn't a computer. Thus far, having the protection plan has been very valuable. I know that new cars are computer-oriented and there's no way I can fix them or afford the repair.

Definitely do not get a warranty through #CARCHEX. I hoped I was a special case, but after reading more reviews it sounds like they do this to everyone. Got a vehicle with 90k miles on it and wanted peace of mind for 3k$. I travel for work, and drove 16 hours to Florida and worked there for a month. Drove back and engine started dying randomly. Took it to a mechanic and they basically did a tune up spark plugs etc. Still did not fix it, mechanic said to take it to Ford to better diagnose it. Mechanic said it was, “out of time”. Basically engine needed to be taken apart.
Called Carchex for coverage. They said they wanted to send an inspector to make sure it was out of time. Over two weeks later I still do not have any word on my truck. Call the company, mindless drones babble and basically say they have no answer for you until they get a report back. There is no time frame of which they have to respond so they don’t care whatsoever. Probably trying to find a way to deny my claim. Or to make it near impossible for me to have it fixed with an appropriate part.

I was just inquiring about the CARCHEX policy on a Wednesday evening, and I wanted to get a quote, when the gentleman on the phone kept coming back with his offer that I already felt pressure. I had said several times that I would want to think about it, that I would talk to my husband and then I would give them a call back. I also mentioned that we just got a car from Lexus, and then he went on about theirs is a much better plan. It was a definite push. And then, he asked me to give him my credit card, which I did. So, I got into a contract with them by verbal agreement, but I wish I had waited because then I wouldn't be in this annoyance of having to cancel it. I ended up going with the Lexus one, so I called CARCHEX on Friday, left a message and emailed them asking to cancel the contract immediately. It has been less than 48 hours. But getting it cancelled is ike jumping through hoops.
I got word from the salesperson yesterday to call a certain number, and I did. The woman that I spoke to started with asking me if I was sure, I said yes and told her what was going on. But she kept going on. I get it that they don't wanna lose a contract but it wasn't worth my time. I just wanna get out of it, so I asked her what I should do. I also said, "I want it as simple as possible. I have a verbal agreement. I got into the contract. I should be able to get out of it." She said I need to fill out a written document, which she would send me. When I got the email, I had to write a whole letter with the VIN number and the current mileage. It was ridiculous. I got the contract less than a week ago and tried to get out of it in 48 hours. I think they could refine their cancellation in situations like this.
So, I ended up getting online. I typed up the whole nine, I printed it out, signed it and I emailed it back, and I was done. I even said in there that this situation turned me off to CARCHEX. It was handled poorly. And according to the agreement, the first payment would be charged on December 28th. It has already gone through my American Express. It's not even 20. So, I want my money back. I want it definitely canceled. I don't like the way it was handled at all. It made me feel really uncomfortable. I get that they're trying to make a sale and keep the sale. But that's not the way to do it. They're burning their bridges in more ways than just one customer. I don't want to have anything to do with them.

I was given wrong information by the person who sold me my account. It cost me money from my mechanic. I was on the phone for over 3 hours trying to get someone from customer service to cancel my account and to refund my money but never could get through so called the company that my payments that took the money out of my bank account and had them stop taken money out to pay for your services. They stopped it when I told them to stop taken money from my bank account.
So I am telling you cancel my account with CARCHEX right now or you will hear from my attorney. I am going to notify the Better Business Bureau and the Consumers Affairs Office and report your company telling me the part was covered and I went and had my mechanic to repair it. It was covered and it was not. I had to rent a car to get back and forth to work till I get paid to retrieve my car on payday. Your company cost me money so I should get my money back since you did not fill your company obligations telling me the part was covered and it was not covered. And it was not and cost me money. I will even find out who else I can notify about your compay false information about what your company covers and giving out false information to your customers who have accounts with you.

Carchex had a good high rating and good reviews. Purchasing the plan from them went very smoothly. They showed me different options for the vehicle and faxed out the quotes. Also, they explained some of the programs, in a sense, of what was a better program. It is fairly simple because there’s a little difference in price between the top one and the second one.

There are so many unknowns when you're purchasing a vehicle. I like having the insurance that if there's something that's mechanically wrong, I'll be covered and I won’t have a huge bill. So, having a vehicle protection plan is valuable. I looked into an option that could give me some additional coverage for my vehicle for a few more years in miles. My work place has this discount site so I used that and CARCHEX was the option there. CARCHEX offered me an additional discount and I bought an extended warranty from them. I needed something to lean on if my car broke down and a guarantee there's something that can help me pay for repairs. I had a 2008 Super Duty and there are some common problems. They're not happening on my truck right now, but they eventually will. I purchased the policy to protect my car. That way, I don't have to pay $2,000 or more on my truck to get repaired and get fixed. CARCHEX's reps are good people to deal with. They're easier to talk to and it's easier to get stuff done through them. I do tree service and landscaping and we're getting slowed down during this winter season so making payments is getting tough on my end, but I still paid for the warranty.

I just bought a Corvette. I only really drive it on the weekend. Eventually, my wife gave it our son so it is driven a little bit more now. Since the car is so expensive, I figured that it’d be best to go ahead and get a warranty put on it. I decided to go with CARCHEX for it had one of the better rates among three companies I checked out online. It’s a little more expensive that I thought it would be but that's because of the type of vehicle.
CARCHEX's rep was very helpful. When I told him I was recommended to CARCHEX, he gave me a discount. Then as soon as I put my information online, they called right back. They also sent me a booklet that was really organized and neat. And they told me much more, so I appreciate that too. Having a vehicle protection plan is very valuable. The Corvette had issues like three months after I bought it. When I took it in with the warranty with it, it was really easy. Then I was transferred to manager named Daniel. Man, this guy was bad. "Bone headed, talking over you, pressuring, making you feel you probably make worse decision possible for yourself salesman" that everyone hate, that who this guy was. I bought a used car and it was just almost out of its manufacturer's warranty. I'm semi-retired and I thought that if I had an extended warranty on the car, if anything needed to come up, it would be easier to pay for the warranty than it would be for me, a retiree, to go down and have it fixed. Also, if something happened to me, because I'm a little older, my wife would be covered for the next couple or three years. My daughter has CARCHEX, and she hasn't had any issues. So I thought that I would go with them as well because she did quite a bit of research on it. After doing some of my own research, I decided to go ahead and call them up, and I ended up with the policy. But I'm at the point right now where I'm a little bit on the fence. I'm going to do more research before my 30-day period runs out, that I can cancel if I need to.
I'm in California, and when I first called CARCHEX, they said that they only had two people that were qualified for license to sell their policy here. So, I ended up talking to one of them and the man painted a good picture at the time. The car wasn't out of manufacturer warranty at that point, so I took about a month and thought about what I wanted to do. I talked to my daughter about it and to a couple of other people. So finally when my warranty expired, I decided to just go ahead and do it. The thing is, during the initial contact, the CARCHEX agent told me about a 90-day waiting period, which I could live with, but he did not tell me that there was also a 3,000 mile waiting period. When I went back to him a month later, I was told then that it was a 90-day “and”, not "or", 3,000 miles.
I have a couple of cars, and between my wife and I, we probably only drive 5,000 miles a year. The 3,000 miles was extensive. If I drive that car all the time, it will take me until August to get 3,000 miles on it. So, here I'm paying monthly for this thing, and if anything happens between the end of my 90 days, which is in February to whenever, I'm not covered because I don't have this 3,000 miles. I called my daughter and asked her of her policy. She has a similar car, and she does not remember that 3,000-mile period either. Then, I just got the paperwork two days ago. It took CARCHEX almost two weeks to send them, which is half of my 30-day cancellation period, if I need to. My daughter is gonna look into her policy in a couple of days, and if it is an "and" and not an "or," I'm gonna cancel and go with a different company.
Reading the paperwork though, as to what's covered, the policy looks comprehensive. I bought their Platinum policy, which is their top-of-the-line. The other thing I questioned was it's supposed to be for five years, and the policy says it's only for 51 months. Even if you subtract the three-month waiting period, that's still six months short of five years. If you’re looking into this company, double check everything to make sure that you're okay with it.

An '07 Honda in top value is gonna be worth about $5,000 and if any other thing is wrong with it, it's gonna go for anywhere between $4,000 and $5,000. I was contemplating whether or not to acquire extended coverage because I haven't had any major problems with my '07 Honda. A rep was trying to get the price down, so we started talking about coverage. Is it worth investing $3,000 in coverage? And then another gentleman called me back and said something about they didn't get the right number of my credit card. When I called back, I found that the number they gave me to call back was a wrong number. I can't call anybody. I just said I’m not gonna worry with it. They were strange and I wondered whether or not it was a legitimate company, so I hadn’t made any contact with them since. On the other hand, Carchex did whatever they could to make the purchase more reasonable and more economical, and they offered me the Silver plan.

I bought a used vehicle and the people I bought it from would not give me even a 30-day warranty. It had enough miles on it and I decided for the first year or two, I wanted to see what happens and be covered. A warranty can be real valuable if something big happens. I looked companies up online and CARCHEX was rated pretty highly so I called. I talked to a fellow named Randy and I really liked him.
He was easy to talk to. He had a sense of humor and he made sense. He explained the coverages and they sounded good. It was also less than what I would have bought through a car dealer. Also, he wasn’t pushy. In fact, I don’t think he cared if I bought the policy or not. I’m probably a real small fish in a great big pond. But he was the reason I bought the policy. On the other hand, I understand that the outside salesman can make a sale but the nitty-gritty comes down to how good the coverages are and to the response by the company. I can only hope that it is as good as the salesman because he was terrific.

There are lot of negative review about the provider that is assigned to me. I want to cancel this contract and get my money refunded with immediate effect. At the time of contract it was mentioned no hassle and full refund in 30 days but till date nothing is being done.

I bought a used BMW and I know that I really can't afford to have it fixed. I've been seeing commercials about extended warranties and I've been having people call me about extended warranties. So, when I got the BMW, the first thing came to my mind was a car warranty. I went online and I talked to five other companies but they were just trying to make a sale so I went with CARCHEX. I appreciated their rep's kindness, making it about me and my car instead of making it about him getting the purchase. After I made my mind up, we set everything up within an hour.
I told my brother to call CARCHEX because the people were very courteous very knowledgeable, and I appreciated it because I'm a lady and I don't know anything about cars. I know how to put gas, oil and transmission fluid in them, and I can change a tire. But as far as engine cars, I know some of them. But the rep walked me through it step by step.

I drive across the country and having a vehicle protection plan is very important. I dealt with Joshua, the CARCHEX agent, and he was really nice. But he was a little too fast for me as far as explaining stuff. I kept trying to get him to slow down but he was a little anxious to get off the phone. He told me that he would go ahead and send something to me on the fax to give me a chance to read it over. I think that made him feel confident that once I was able to slow down, read it myself and see it on paper, I would understand it more. Other than that, he was doing his job well. But right now, I’m not sure if I still understand my coverage and how it works. It was a little confusing. I started reading the coverage but there are deductibles Joshua hadn’t mentioned and some other things I wasn’t quite sure about. Still, I’m assuming that CARCHEX is a reputable company. If my engine falls out somewhere in St. Louis, they’re gonna replace it.

Having a car protection plan is very important. If I don't have it and I'm stuck somewhere, I can't get to where I have to go, and I have to pay a whole bunch of money. Why pay all that money when I could just pay a $100 deductible and it's fixed? My warranty expired, so I got extended coverage. I sent my paperwork out and everything went quickly. They gave me a little discount and I liked that. The rep also presented himself well and I liked his attitude. Carchex did well, except I needed them to add a person on my policy and they forgot.
My friend went through some trouble with their car and they didn't know that they could pay every month. I told them about how I could get them hooked up, and they could be hooked up as long as they keep telling people about Carchex. I told them that they can keep half the money in their pockets instead of spending that $300 and catching rides with me. I've had Carchex in the past and every time I deal with them, I've had a good experience. I never had a problem.

Anything that got so much electronics in them, it would be worthwhile to have some coverage past the manufacturer's warranty. I chose to go with CARCHEX for their service and the interactions with their reps were very good. I have looked around, and there were a couple of extended warranty companies for vehicles where the costs were cheaper, but I didn't feel like it was the quality I wanted. I also went through General Motors years ago, and CARCHEX service is comparable.

We made a decision that we're going to keep the two cars that we presently have for a longer period of time than we normally do. In the past, I rarely bought an extended warranty package, and when I did, it was usually on some kind of specialty car. CARCHEX wasn't the only company that I looked into. I looked into three other companies and they were evasive about giving information out. I had started out with Endurance and it was terrible. I would never ever do any business with them even though they were rated number one. On the other hand, when I spoke to the people at CARCHEX, they gave me an answer on everything I asked them, and that made me more comfortable. There were a couple of things we had to negotiate on and they were very straightforward and negotiated honestly. When they sent me my pricing, it was exactly what we had agreed on.
They have a laundry list of what their different packages cover and I had a good idea of what I was interested in and what my primary needs were. I went down the list they sent me, all that information by email, so I was able to read it and print it up and spend some time with it. My needs were related to drivetrain and electronics. But the package that we ended up buying on both cars is all-inclusive. Both the packages are the same, but the prices were slightly different because the cars aren't the same. Their rep, Jason, was very accommodating and was upfront if there were certain things he wasn't sure of. He also brought someone else online who had a little bit more experience and between the two of them, they answered all of my questions.
You don't know how important a vehicle protection plan is until suddenly you have a major item occur. The protection plan was about $4,500 for the two cars. You can do a lot of repairs for $4,500, but you can also have a transmission go or an electronic system go on your car, and it can cost you more than that. We typically replace our cars every two years and that way, you never have to worry as it stays in warranty and I never have any major issues to deal with. But in this case, my wife has a CRV Honda which she loves and I bought a Mini Cooper, which I'm gonna use as my toy. The Mini Coopers made by BMW can be very complicated to repair also because of the electronics in it. The engine in it is made by BMW, and it's a twin turbo, so it can be super expensive if something goes wrong with it. Overall, CARCHEX is very good.

Paid $3400 for a warranty with this company and when I went to use it for a check engine light/rough idle they only wanted to cover a portion of my defective items. On a bill of about $680 I paid $400+. Another time I brought in my vehicle due to a suspension issues, they would only replace one strut (non-oem). I had to pay for diagnosis time and alignment and had to pay for the other strut as well. The plan I purchased was said to be a bumper to bumper warranty (titanium plan). So don’t waste your time with this company unless you are ok with paying 75% off a repair yourself if you need it.

I leased a 2017 Suburban and the air conditioning went out. And I couldn’t believe it, ‘cause I only have 38,000 miles on the car. It was covered bumper-to-bumper on the 36,000th miles. I did some research online and it turned out it was a common problem for that car. I looked in my file and found a letter that GM sent me that said that if it happens, I should take it in and they will pay for it. It was a wake-up call and so I started looking around for reputable extended warranties. Three days into my research, I stumbled on CARCHEX.
I was a little skeptical of them being in Maryland, but they actually had a California salesman who grew up in Monterrey so it felt good. I gave them a buzz and they put me in touch with a guy that guy who was a great salesman and a really nice guy too. I got along with him instantly. He gave me a number and then explained what CARCHEX has to offer and why they were charging differently. So I looked at what it covered. It’s basically bumper-to-bumper and you could pay 12 installments with no interest. You could also do 10 installments, 2 installments, or whatever that fits you so it was convenient. I did it and now I’ve got 50,000-mile coverage.
You then start off with the monthly payments. I gave them a credit card and they just auto deduct each month and I don't have to think about it. I can go to any car shop to fix whatever I have and they'll pay it in full. They also got a rental car for me, as well as roadside assistance. CARCHEX has a platter of really good options, like if the tranny goes out, and it’s gonna take them two weeks to fix, I’ll get a rental car paid for which is huge. CARCHEX has a good program and they have salespeople who aren't pushy. They just lay it out and you make up your own mind. It was a win-win.

I was looking to have coverage on my 2009 GMC for unexpected whatevers and CARCHEX seemed to have the best reviews online. But after I purchased the policy, there was a communication issue and I'm trying to cancel the policy now. I've made four attempts to try to do so and none of them have been resolved. The before and during transactions were good and they answered the phone right away. But now it has gone to messages and then no response to an actual cancellation when I talk to somebody. I have been trying for weeks to cancel and I haven't gotten a confirmation. The cancellation is difficult to do even though it says on the website that it's no hassle and no worries.

I normally sell my vehicles when it hits this mileage, so I don’t have to incur additional cost. Now, my wife wants to keep the vehicle for another two to three years. I have a life insurance policy and I wanna buy one for the car too. I tried calling a couple of warranty providers and they just wanted to sell me on their warranty. My vehicle has slightly over 50,000 and around 60,000, the manufacturer warranty expires. I had another vehicle that needed a lot of expensive repairs, so I didn’t want a year or two down the road, I would be in that same situation again. So, I looked into getting an extended coverage. Carchex had real good reviews compared to other places that I’ve seen advertised. Their rep was very helpful. They told me what was covered, what wasn’t, and they weren’t trying to really push things on me like the other places. I got my package a couple of days ago. There was a card in front of the book to put in glove box, take to the authorized repair, and have them call that number to make an authorization to go ahead and work, for example. Having a protection plan is pretty valuable. Certain things cost a lot of money if they break down.

You can never tell what's gonna happen, so you need to make sure that you have extra coverage for your vehicle. We decided to keep the vehicle for another three years. I have close to 100,000 miles on the vehicle and with older cars, a vehicle protection plan is important. We looked at ConsumerAffairs surveys and top ten lists for extended coverage providers and CARCHEX had favorable reviews from neutral parties. We decided to go with them and it was a fairly simple experience buying it. I found the reps to be helpful and not pushy. So, that was good. They walked me through the process, in terms of what the policy incurred and everything.

Having a vehicle protection plan is pretty valuable especially if you have an expensive car. Replacing parts on those can be really expensive. I wanted extended coverage on all my cars and CARCHEX had a better price for the coverage. Other companies I went to were charging a little highly for the kind of coverage CARCHEX would give me.

I bought an older Honda car with a high mileage of 75,000 miles and looking into an extended coverage is more of a safety issue for me. CARCHEX dropped their price rate. When I told them that I was getting another price, they dropped it tremendously just to beat it. Their specialist was fine and will do anything to make it work. However, I'm gonna be canceling my insurance because it's so high. The cost of the insurance is $3,000 for four years and it’s a lot of money. My husband also doesn’t believe in warranties and these cars last. I got a warranty for my Toyota and when I had 19,000 miles on the car, I got it for 1,500. But it went for 120,000 miles so I got an extra 100,000 miles for another five more years added. Now, I have 100,000 miles in six years. Overall, CARCHEX's warranty is a lot of money. Still, I've had a fine experience with the company.

I just bought a truck and was getting quotes for auto warranties then comparing them with what was being offered by my credit union. I landed with CARCHEX considering the coverage, which was two years and 60,000 mileage, and their competitive price. I dealt with a good and friendly rep, though initially, it was a little hard for him to get me a PDF document that I could open and read. It took him several attempts, but it had something to do with the limitations in the computer system. They had to get me the hardcopy. And as it turned out, over the weekend, I got my policy in the mail. I intend to read it very carefully this week and double check everything. Having the plan offers some peace of mind to know that there's some drivetrain warranty. Because of the mileage, I don't think they could do any bumper-to-bumper but at least the powertrain and engine are covered. And I'd refer CARCHEX to my friends.

My warranty ran out. I went to look for rankings on the internet and I found CARCHEX's ranking through ConsumerAffairs and Consumer Reports. CARCHEX also they offered an equal plan at a lower cost. I called them then their guy called me back and gave me all the information. He told me what they had and how they were rated. It was not a hard sell. Then I told him I'd call him back in the morning. I talked to my wife, we looked at all of our options, and we decided to go with them. We called back the next morning, left him a message, and he called me within an hour. Their process was really easy and I would recommend them so far.

I liked what CARCHEX was offering as far as what the warranty would cover if anything goes wrong because I'm a mechanic myself and I know how much car repairs cost. So, I decided to go with them. But when I submitted a claim, they didn't fix my car. Apparently, the representatives who set my account up in the get-go made a typo in the mileage. So when my my car was in the shop and needed to be fixed, there was a discrepancy and they voided the contract. But they said they'd gladly reissue a new one. In other words, my car is still not fixed, so it was not a good experience. I would warn others that if they will go with CARCHEX, they should make sure their info is written correctly and have the reps repeat everything back to them, or it'll be a waste of money.

I bought the car with about 22,000 miles on it, and the dealership gave me a warranty with it which was 24,000 miles or two years. I've already put 24,000 miles on it, so the warranty was no good. I called the dealership back and they gave me CARCHEX's number. In my situation, a vehicle protection plan is good because I got a lot and I put a lot of miles on the car, so I wanna make sure I have coverage. If something goes out and it costs tons of money, I don’t have to pay for it.
I talked to Ryan at CARCHEX and everything was good. He tried to explain the warranty to me the best way that he could. He said the price was going up on the insurance from the time that I purchased mine. I paid the first payment with $48 something and there's a 3,000-mile wait period. Ryan said he was gonna send me the paperwork in the mail, but as of yet, I haven’t gotten anything. Still, I’d recommend CARCHEX to a friend. If anyone else calls and wanna find out about a warranty company, I will refer them all to CARCHEX.

I just purchased a used BMW and got a list of extended warranty companies from the dealer. The lady from there told me the ones that she did not deal with and the ones she did. CARCHEX was one of the companies that I called and they got back to me. Their guy was very diligent and friendly. He was also knowledgeable and he told me what I needed to know. They seemed to offer what I wanted and the price wasn't too outrageous. It took me a couple of weeks to actually pull the trigger so the guy reached out to me a couple of times, but he was understanding and not pushy. CARCHEX may have been $200 or $300 more than a competitor, but I liked the guy so I did business with him.

Sometimes, an extended coverage might be a waste of money and other times, it might help. So, it was like kind of a juggling act. I looked around and saw CARCHEX. I went with them as they were cheaper than the others. I talked to a guy named Ryan and he was helpful, although he hasn’t sent me any paperwork yet and there’s a three-month wait. There’s always room for improvement for something. But with CARCHEX, they were fine.

My car is expensive. If something happens to it, it’s expensive to fix. The first company I chose for an extended coverage said they don't cover that car. I bought a used vehicle and I didn’t wanna be stranded on the side of the road, so I got an extended coverage. Also, when you're taking care of an elderly person and foot most of the bills, you got that extra security as far as you can get the vehicle repaired or fixed. I hooked up CARCHEX with my other vehicle and they got it done so well. I sold it to a little old lady who got grandkids and she enjoyed it. Some CARCHEX reps were knowledgeable, although when I was filing for the claim for the old vehicle for the young lady, it took a long time, about seven days. She didn’t file for a rental car and she just wanted to get it fixed, and CARCHEX came through with it. I am very satisfied and we never had any problems. Whenever I talk to them and have an issue, they always say, “Three options right here. We can do this. We can do that.” Then, I tell them, “Okay. Let's go.” They like to get things fixed.

I've always wanted to have an extended coverage when the factory warranty ended. My mom uses CARCHEX and when I bought my protection plan from them, they were extremely helpful. I talked to two or three different people that did what they could for me. They answered everything I needed to know. The rep who helped me was good and she explained what warranty I could get and she knew everything about the coverage that we were discussing about. You pay for the warranty but if you have one major breakdown and a warranty to cover it, then it pays for itself. So, it’s very valuable. I fixed vehicles without a warranty and it sucked. It was way more expensive.

Purchasing an extended warranty from CARCHEX went too easily and I found that their rep is very good at his job. He was a very honest person and he assisted me with any questions that I had. However, I canceled my extended coverage with them as they have a bad reputation for following through and paying. I’m trying to get a refund and they were not honest with me. They said there would be a 45-day refund process. But when I got the letter back, it was 45 to 60 days. In addition to that, I could not cancel over the phone and I’ve got to write an official letter to them. I’ve never had to do that before. CARCHEX is a terrible company. They are a big, unworthy organization. I would not recommend them to anybody.

For the cancellation policy, the email you received from CARCHEX provides the cancellation instructions for contracts that have gone beyond the 30 day money back guarantee. However, you just purchased so the turn around time for your refund is typically 2-3 days for a refund upon receipt of your request to cancel.
After 30 days the coverage becomes in force with the insurer, finance company, and administrator. To ensure proper cancellation with all parties, a written letter is required with your signature.
As we discussed, we cannot allow cancellation over the phone because there have been multiple issues in the Vehicle Service Contract industry where customers verbally cancelled, then called 4 months later with a large claim and fought the fact that they never called in. Due to this issue, the industry as a whole requires written notification of cancellation.

I was thinking about either getting a new car or an extended coverage for my vehicle. Getting coverage was cheaper to do so I went online and looked up for people who were reputable. People were saying that CARCHEX was with different companies including AAA. In the past, I always thought extended coverage was just a scam that people would call out for. But those people told me it's a real thing. And when I saw that CARCHEX had partnered with AAA, I knew they were legitimate. The guy that I spoke with on the phone was very nice. The factory warranty of my car had run out. CARCHEX was rated good and when I read customer reviews and testimonials, it seemed like it was legit so I got the extended coverage from them.Their reps were polite and knowledgeable. They gave me what I wanted and answered all the questions instead of scripted answers. They gave me an option but it wasn’t satisfactorily so they adjusted it and made it good for both parties. Overall, the purchasing experience was fairly easy. But I'm going to call up and cancel it tomorrow 'cause I sold the car. Depending on what kind of car I would buy, I might be calling them back and start the process over again.

I was told that the coverage was bumper to bumper. Well, it was not. For example: It did not cover the complete engine. It did not cover the convertible top. I understand it does not cover tires, battery, brake pads, etc. Or pre-existing condition. BUT, this is not bumper to bumper.

The term bumper to bumper typically refers to "Exclusionary" Coverage which is the closest to the manufacturer's warranty and is considered the highest level of coverage. Exclusionary coverage does not list out each covered component. Instead it says everything is covered unless specified in the exclusions portion of the contract.
With today's cars having thousands of individual parts, it is easier to say what is NOT covered, rather than list all of the parts of vehicle.
Maintenance items like brake pads, oil changes, and fluid flushes are not covered. A vehicle service contract or extended warranty is a mechanical break down service contract while these items are considered basic maintenance.
For the convertible top, the motor would be covered however any issues with the material top or frame/track of the vehicle are excluded from coverage.

The customer representative was very helpful in getting me the coverage I needed for my 2012 Audi Q5 at a reasonable price. Though my buying experience was made simple and easy, the real test is how well the coverage works and how American Auto Shield takes care of its customers when a claim is made for a repair. I had shopped around for an extended warranty for a used 2017 Honda Pilot that I purchased with 24,682 miles on it. I was offered a deal with 7 years 150,000 miles from the dealership where I purchased the car and was shopping around online to see if there was anything comparable. I spoke with Aleesha ** with CARCHEX and she quoted me a price that beat the one I had been quoted by the dealership with 7 years and 125,000 miles. I knew that the mileage was an issue so I made sure that the in service date was not being used and she assured me that it was seven years of when I signed up for the policy. The one question I didn't ask was the mileage start from the day I purchased the extended warranty, unfortunately the mileage was from the start of the original odometer reading of 0 miles. I assumed the mileage just like the date was from the day that I purchased the extended warranty.
When I reviewed the policy I realized this and spoke to Aleesha and she said she informed me of that. I don't recall that I just remember being fixated on the seven years and when that started and when I learned that it started the day I set up the policy I thought so did the mileage. When I looked at the final contact it only went to 125,000 miles and I was thinking all along that it was going to go to 149,682 (125,000 + 24,682) So since I already have roughly 25,000 miles on the care I would only be insured for 100,000 miles left on the policy.
When I learned of this I called and spoke with Aleesha and asked specifics about the mileage and said that I thought everything started the day I signed up for the policy and she informed me that it didn't. I asked if I could get out of the policy because knowing that I would have gone with the other company where I would get more mileage out of their offer. She was very nice and got me over to someone who helped me terminate the contract with CARCHEX.

A plan that's really too expensive. When I called back to get a lesser plan I ended up with the same plan only $16 less. The guy is good! But I'm not happy. The plan sounds really good, though. The whole thing is a gamble, really.

I have a 2013 vehicle and my warranty on it was running out. I needed a vehicle protection plan for it since I wasn’t planning to buy a car any time soon. CARCHEX offered me a five-year extended warranty and they told me everything they would cover. They covered all the parts that I needed, including the air conditioning and the alternator, and they gave me an 18-month payment plan. I could get an engine if I needed it and it's the same with the transmission. I've had an engine and a transmission after paying the full cost of $4000 for them.
I had talked to CARCHEX before but I didn't go through with buying their warranty but the second time that their rep explained it to me, I went for it. The reps were professional and they weren't nasty or trying to intimidate me into buying something. Plus, they sent me an email right after the phone call as I requested, then I got the contract six days later. I feel safe with the five-year warranty.

My extended coverage expired so I had to look for another one. I went around for my research and I had notes on CARCHEX from before so I came back to them. I spoke with two different specialists and they pushed the five-year bumper-to-bumper plan a bit. It was a little more than I was willing to pay but it was for a car that I use every day. I looked at how long I would be keeping the car and I had to weigh it against that. They also looked to have a lower deductible but I wanted a higher one. They said they threw the lower one at no extra cost so there was negotiation involved but I knew I had to stand my ground. Still, having a protection plan is valuable because the replacement costs of things are sky high going through a dealer so it protects against that.

CARCHEX called me and it sounded like a good deal. My truck already had 100,000 miles on it, so insuring it for another 100,000 only made sense. Also, I liked the guy that was talking to me. He was courteous and he related really well with details. It was like talking to a friend. We had talked two times and the first time, he explained everything to me. I told him he would have to call me back when I had money. He did and he signed me up right then and there and he thoroughly assisted me. As a matter of fact, I’m looking for a vehicle for my grandson and I’m gonna recommend that he get CARCHEX too. I don't like though that we did my signup about three weeks ago and I still haven’t gotten anything in the mail yet. But other than that, I had a good experience with CARCHEX and I was very satisfied with their rep.

But it was fine because I had a lot of questions. Also, the representative who helped me was excellent. I wanted to have coverage on my car because I use it as a commute car. I got sold one on high pressure at the dealership when I purchased my car. However, the price that they offered me was extremely high and the guy didn't explain everything. It was obvious to me that they tried to put me on the high pressure and the rep tried to sell a product he didn't know. The guy started out at $2,900 then worked down to $1,515. I bought the warranty from the Toyota dealership for $1,515. But I was telling the guy that the price is not the only thing that a customer uses when they buy something. They need to know the value and until they know the value, the price has no relevance. So I had to come home, do my research and compare apple to apple. I told the guy that I was most likely gonna have buyer's remorse and cancel it. He said that I had 30 days to cancel.
I was gonna keep what I had but what made me change to CARCHEX was that when I was looking at what they offered, there were more apples than what I bought for a lot less. I bought CARCHEX for the same number of miles, 100,000 miles, and for seven years for $1096. My only thing with CARCHEX is when I went online and I put in my zip code, the site said there was no agent in my area. So I called the 1-800 number and the guy explained to me that CARCHEX is out of Maryland and a person has to be licensed to sell in California. But I still bought the warranty because the coverage is still good in California. CARCHEX also said I can take my car to any dealership. I don't necessarily have to take it to Toyota.
When I examined CARCHEX, I was expecting one answer but the salesperson exceeded my expectations in every area. I asked him direct questions, which he answered, then he even gave me extra. He should get a promotion because he did everything excellently. He was not only knowledgeable about the product, but he could also do what I was trying to get the guy at the dealership to do – to show me the value, compare one to the other and show me why it benefits me to buy their product. He was honest with me about it too. It felt like cross-examining on things.
He was also very informative and patient. After he explained everything to me, I told him that I was probably not gonna buy the warranty at that time. I told him that I was gonna undo the first contract then come back and buy it. There was no pressure and I did just that. I cancelled the first coverage then I called the salesperson back and made the purchase about a week later. I made the purchase over the phone by credit card and it was convenient to pay. I had to finance and we had to set up stuff and do a debit for under $61 a month for 18 months. So I pay as I go. That was good stuff.
The car I purchased was a used car but it was barely used. It’s still on the manufacturer warranty but if something goes wrong down the road, the $1,000 I paid would be easily recouped. I probably won't even have to use the $1,000 that I am paying but if I did need the warranty, it's good to have. Getting a warranty is more or less like buying auto insurance. You buy auto insurance because you have to have it. Also, If something happens, you are covered even though you can’t pay out of your pocket. And if you have to have insurance, it makes sense to shop around and compare insurance companies to see which one offers you the best for the least amount of money. CARCHEX answered that question.

I already had CARCHEX coverage for three years on my existing vehicle and I had taken it in for repair a couple of times. There were no issues in getting it all serviced and done. I extended the coverage for several more years and the rep was courteous, very helpful, and quick during the purchase. He wasn't pushy and I was very comfortable. I also get good customer service from CARCHEX and my interactions with the reps are friendly and professional. There are no haggling or hassles any time which are a good thing. CARCHEX is simple and having a warranty on my vehicle really helps. It is very valuable as well because I run into unexpected issues a couple of times and the cost for maintenance is very high.

CARCHEX was endorsed by a bunch of people and it was not just BBB, but they're also accepted by national places and that makes the difference. They are the only one to have that much recognition. Their credibility and stature, and how reputable they are made me choose them. Purchasing the policy was a lot faster than I thought. The rep that I dealt with was very friendly and he listened to me a lot.
The policy was fairly cheap for six years with its coverage. It's worth it. I had a pretty good experience and the only thing that annoyed me a little was they didn't fully explain the coverage. They went through it a little quickly to just get me to purchase the policy. They just wanted to sell it. But I really like to look through everything that I'm purchasing. I would have much rather been able to do it online, but I wasn't able to. But the process was fairly straightforward. It's not like the rep lied to me. I just don’t think that they spend enough time fully explaining everything and telling people what they are getting into.

I was nearing the end of the warranty period on my car and I figured my truck is seven years old now, so it was time to add a little extra warranty. I got one from CARCHEX and it was an A-1 experience all the way around. The rep who assisted me was very friendly. He answered questions and was very knowledgeable. I also liked that he took interest in me. Plus, CARCHEX added a discount because I’m a veteran. All in all, having a protection plan is very valuable. If you don’t have a little extra there, having work done on your car is gonna cost some money.

The extended warranty we had on our vehicle was gonna run out, so we had planned on trading the car in. However, we got to thinking that at our age, I don’t wanna trade our car in and have more car payments, so we decided to purchase another extended warranty. CARCHEX had a better price, so we went with them and we were able to set everything up online. The rep was very pleasant on the phone and very accommodating and answered all of our questions. He asked us what our plans were and we told him that we had thought about trading our car in and purchasing another one but decided I liked this car and I was gonna keep it. We are able to not worry about the payments coming through or having to mail off payments because it is direct payment or online payment.
Having a vehicle protection plan is very beneficial, especially given our age, and the fact that the price of a new vehicle is out of this world for us. We’ve almost got it more than half paid off and with the plan being over three years old now, it has worked out much better for us. I would tell my friends that CARCHEX is worth it, especially if you wanna keep the vehicle you have and keep the prices within your budget.

There was a time I became ill and had a financial jam. I had to quit making my payments for my CARCHEX auto warranty so the coverage had lapsed. I called the company to notify them and get things started up again. Their rep, Jerrick was excellent. HE was genuine, honest and very informative. I asked him a lot of questions and he answered them for me. If he didn’t know the answer Johnny-on-the-spot, he’d refer to the contract and see the coverage plan. He wasn't a pushy salesperson type either to add. Overall, I've had a great experience with this company.

I bought a vehicle from a dealership and got screwed on their warranty. But the old car I got is always good. It doesn't have high miles like some older cars. However, when you have bad credit and you have to get an old car through a place, you need all the coverage you can get. Otherwise, you’re gonna be back to square one. With an extended coverage, I can have peace of mind knowing that if you get in trouble, somebody’s gonna tow you and you don’t have to have the money right then and there.
I looked online and Carchex's price was phenomenal. Also, their coverage seemed to cover a bit more than most others. I had a car that had a leaky sunroof and that could lead to a lot of major issues that warranties won’t cover. If I can get something going on with my sunroof, Carchex will take care of it and that will save me money in the long run. So far, everything their rep said has come through. I'd recommend Carchex to everyone.

I have three vehicles, and they all have extended warranty. I have CARCHEX's number one competitor on two other vehicles, and I've had them for years now. I noticed that CARCHEX was very competitive and covered quite a bit more a lot of times, compared to its competitors. Purchasing the plan was fairly simple. CARCHEX had helpful individuals over the phone. They had good etiquette and were courteous. They told me what packages they'd offer after I gave them simple information, as far as make, model, year and they were, "This is what we got, this is what it covers. Do you have any questions?"
Also, the specialist that I worked with was an all-around pleasure. The guy was really knowledgeable. He put me on hold one time because I had a really specific question. But he was back on the phone within a minute, explaining the answers to the best of his ability. I would recommend CARCHEX and I'm actually thinking about changing sides after all these years with Endurance, slapping CARCHEX on all my vehicles.

When I looked up auto repair, there were some comparisons and I saw that CARCHEX was highly rated. I called them and was offered their Premier Plan. The representative was very knowledgeable but I was going a little bit deeper and I had some questions. I was transferred to a supervisor and my questions were answered. He was very good about it too. CARCHEX is also used by some major vendors of automobiles and that was one of the things that made me go with it. At this point, I have read the plan clear through and I think it will be good for me.

It seems to me the sales people are looking to make the sale and not really look out for the customer's best interest. My BMW 525I is currently under warranty and passed the required mileage and days to be covered. They seem to keep finding a reason to deny my claim because my transmission needs repair and I just purchased the warranty. I feel this might end up a lawsuit. I feel let down, especially after that sales pitch that sold the deal. I'm hoping my customer service rep. will help me getting it approved. He is doing a great job for me I must admit. I was approaching 100,000 miles and any number of things that go wrong after that point usually isn’t a cheap fix. A problem usually dominoes from there. I started looking at what my factory warranty was and realized that all was past and expired. So, I got an extended warranty for my vehicle and had the extra comfort if anything bad happens. I looked up everything and CARCHEX was one of the top three companies. The reviews all said that they were the easiest whenever it came to getting everything done and what people had to put down. CARCHEX was the first one I called, and it was exactly like they said. Everything was pretty cut and dry.
The rep who helped me get all set up was awesome and prompt. She stayed on top of issues and sent over all the information that I needed right away. My concern on the vehicle is when I start getting to the higher mileage, and things like the engine, the transmission and suspension. She explained everything thoroughly to make sure that I was picking the right package, for what my concerns were. For the extra coverage of people's cars, especially if it’s something that they drive all the time as I do, they should do it with CARCHEX.

I travel a lot and when I had broken down on the road, I had to pay more money for towing. So I've learned that warranty is the best way. It's very valuable and I got warranty on all my vehicles. It saves my money. With CARCHEX, everything was handled just fine. Even the manager explained things very well and the customer service was very good. I felt real comfortable. I saw a good deal at CARCHEX but I’m still concerned. I might end up going back to Lincoln because they have a better offer. They’re offering $1,800 for the same package CARCHEX’s offering me. I’m paying $3,000 with CARCHEX so I would be saving over $1,200.

I had a vehicle prior to this one and about almost two years, we traded it in and we got the vehicle we have now. My husband and I decided we were going to buy me a different vehicle and he was gonna keep the truck. Since we were gonna keep the truck, we decided to get an extended warranty on it to be on the safe side. The truck is really still new, but you never know. I checked all the benefits that came with CARCHEX plan and that sounded like the deal for us. I like the pipes and the chassis and you can have a rent-a-car if your car has to be in the shop overnight. I also like the towing and even the electrical stuff. I purchased a Bluetooth camera that has the device Bluetooth. We’ve always had problems with those kind of things and it's good that they are covered.
Their rep was nice. He was really good at explaining everything. Fortunately, I have not had to use it yet, but if I did, I can take it to where I feel comfortable and someone that I feel that I trust and they're not gonna just try to overcharge me. And they have to deal with CARCHEX directly and they know their stuff better than I do so I don’t have to be consumed with all that. I really hope this plan is actually what they said it is. The rep said that if I call and I decided that I didn’t want it, I can stop it. If I had to contact that day and said that I didn’t want it, they’d refund my money back. So, I felt good about that. One really good thing that they told me was that I don’t have to purchase a warranty from the dealership. I can get it from them directly which was awesome because they know the dealerships don't cover some of the things that they cover. So far, everything went nice and easy. In fact, I’ve even spoken to other people about CARCHEX.

I’ve dealt with extended warranties before. I’ve bought a vehicle that is in a very nice shape but had a lot of miles on it, so I wanted my vehicle covered to protect myself. I was shopping around for extended warranties and nobody would take me because they wouldn’t do over 100,000 miles except for CARCHEX. I called them up and gave the guy my information, and the deposit. Having the vehicle protection gives me peace of mind. Purchasing with CARCHEX was a fantastic experience.

You can't ever have enough coverage, especially for older vehicles. They break down quite a bit and because of my vehicle's high mileage, I was limited when picking a plan. Nonetheless, the front end of the plan I got from CARCHEX seems really good. The guy I dealt with was also really detailed in trying to get me all these discounts. I liked what he showed me. He also called and kept up with me. It’s the reason I even signed up with CARCHEX. I’m a forgetful person but he was very on top of things. He was easy to work with and I would recommend people to talk to him. I like him.

Considering the type of vehicle that I had acquired, I wanted to make sure that I was covered and prepared. Having a warranty is extremely valuable. It's like insurance. You never need it until you need it. I looked at the reviews online and chose CARCHEX. And the people I dealt with were awesome. When I originally called, I was confused and between choices. So I was gathering information and although I was misinterpreting some of the information that I was reading, the representative knew exactly what I was talking about. He was extremely knowledgeable and really patient with me. I asked him to call me back and he did. It was not a problem. As a matter of fact, I even got a better deal when he called back than I had from the beginning. So it was good.
The manager that he put on the line with me to confirm was also very kind and knowledgeable. On top of that, they were patient enough to listen at what I had to say. I was checking the internet and CARCHEX seemed to be one of the companies that pay their claims. My BMW is 12 years old and there weren't too many plans available. I had talked to a few companies and it seemed like once you get to a certain point, only certain companies will cover certain things, but CARCHEX covered more than some of the other companies did. The engine and transmission are the two most expensive things, but, in the long run, a lot of the bushings will wear out. There are also a lot of electronic stuff and some are covered and some are not, but at least, I got the main things covered. Since the car is paid for, I decided it would be cheaper to get the warranty and keep the car than it would be trying to buy another one plus the insurance.
I was really hesitant because I have clients that had auto places and a lot of times, they would be paying all of the monthly fees, but when they take their car, a lot of times, the companies don’t cover a lot of stuff. I wanted to protect my GS 350 by Lexus and I got it covered with CARCHEX. I had a Lexus before and those cars rarely need maintenance. I did a check on CARCHEX. They have rave reviews so I felt safe in choosing them. I had a great experience with them. I wanted basic coverage but they talked me into the Titanium. It covered everything. They went through the different plans. I chose the Platinum but the Platinum was a little bit more than the Titanium so I chose the Titanium. The rep I worked with was very informative.

I bought a new car, and they provided me with an extended auto warranty from CARCHEX. And when I looked into it, I saw that it was highly recommended. I also looked on the internet for companies that had a good reputation, and they were one of them. However, I received my packet in the mail, and the price that is quoted in that is different than what we discussed on the phone, but I haven't had time to check that yet. The rep from CARCHEX didn't bother me a lot, and I told him not to call me, and he didn't call me until I said I could talk to him. That was a very key factor. He was fine.

My regular manufacturer car warranty was expiring and I wanted to extend it. Being that BMW doesn’t extend the past three years, my friend told me about CARCHEX. He has several BMW and he recommended them. They were straightforward and told me what the coverage was, including the different levels, which was a Gold, Platinum and Titanium and it worked well for me. The purchasing process was easy. I'm in the process of canceling my extended warranty though. I decided to go where I have my Credit Union. They offer an extended warranty and it would be a lot easier for me to handle them. They're local, and I already have an account with them.

The miles on my car was already gonna run out so to be on the safe side of things, I got an extended warranty with CARCHEX. My cousin is with CARCHEX too. The representative who sold the warranty to me was very nice and made me feel comfortable with it. He made me feel like it wasn’t a gimmick and it was legit. I’m very skeptical about things that I really don’t know anything about, and between my cousin saying she had them and me calling, it made me feel a little at ease. Having the plan on my vehicle is very valuable to me particularly in case something goes wrong and I don’t have the funds. For now, I’m satisfied with CARCHEX.

I looked at several extended warranty providers and I settled on CARCHEX because when I called them up, they had a more competitive rate than the other company I had. But I wished I had more options laid out for me which they didn’t. They just told me that this was a good packet. They also told me what I need and what qualifies. I felt being pushed into a corner and I needed to make a decision immediately. Then, they handed me over to a supervisor who gave me a very competitive rate compared to the other companies I had found. But I wish they had been willing to let me think about it and explore all the packages they had.
Later on, when I got the packages that were available, I wasn’t very happy with what I bought. I ended up canceling it. The warranty for your vehicles is not a cheap thing to buy, so the companies and the representatives that sell it should allow us to ruminate about the implications of what we are going to get. I could have had a better deal or I could have found some better packet. We’re always looking at how much something costs, but sometimes it’s not the cost that is always the thing. I would rather pay for a quality thing, but I’d have them wait for it because nobody just writes a check for $4,000 without thinking it through.

I got an offer for an extended coverage in the mail and I looked into it out of precaution. In these parts, CARCHEX is the one who solicited and I called in then we agreed that I would do a 30-day trial. They tried to make everything pretty clear and they were very helpful and very good. But my main hesitation for any of these companies is this. How difficult is it going to be to get them to pay a claim? Will there be conditions that need to be met? I'm still in the 30-day period and I'm still considering it. I may cancel it.

I usually buy new cars and I buy extended warranties on those. But I bought a used car and it had low mileage. So I looked into getting an extended warranty for it. I did some research and CARCHEX came up as the one I wanted to use. The number of people that had reported good service made me go with them. The cost was not the best, but it was second, and I also liked the features of what they offered. Purchasing the plan very easy. I did it on a phone call and the person that I talked to walked me through all of it, which was when I had decided to get it right in a minute. Their reps were very good. They knew what they were talking about, they answered my questions, and they were very polite.
CARCHEX is worth talking to and I would recommend them. Having an extended warranty is usually worth it because of the high cost of a car repair. The maintenance is not bad, but the car repair for transmission or an engine is so expensive that a lot of times people just trash the car. I believe that is the case if your car has not too many miles on it and is an expensive car.

I had a recent high repair bill and then started looking into extended coverage for your vehicle because of that. CARCHEX had a very comprehensive contract and if I had to deal with them directly, it may help out that their headquarters were close to me. The sales guy wasn’t very patient. He would email me things, call right away, text me. If I don’t respond, he’d call. I was shopping around, looking at several different ones. He called me at 7 o’clock that night after he had emailed me some documents to look at, and I was eating with my family. I thought it’s a little pushy.
Then the sales guy gave me to someone else and the next guy explained things to me. I was asking a lot of questions, and right in the middle of the discussion, he kind of threw out there, “Well, will it be American Express, or MasterCard, or Visa?” In a hurry to get it done with me. The sales department was a little pipeline-ish. I also didn’t like that they couldn’t send me the contract electronically, so I just got it in the mail the other day. I’m still in the evaluation period whether I’m going to stay with them or not.

People were calling my phone for extended warranties so I had to call somebody to see if it was real. I called my dad and told him all about CARCHEX. I guess he looked it up and then he told me that I was good to do it. The guy I dealt with was helpful but we got off on a rocky path. He told me about one package then when I went to ask some more questions, he told me it was another package. I asked why he didn't tell me about that package and he said it was more money. I had told him an amount that wasn't what I wanted to spend so he was trying to stay up in that area. But no matter what budget I gave, he was still supposed to try to sell their product. I told him that he should've still told me about the other package because then I wanted the other package.
But we got back on the straight path and I ended up purchasing that higher package. I'm on a payment plan now. I'm paying $148 a month for the warranty and I'm trying to get a few people to go to CARCHEX as well. When CARCHEX sent me my booklet, I read it. And I like it because I believe if my car is in the shop, they would pay for me to rent a vehicle. It's cool. So I'm gonna recommend it.

I have a vehicle in the shop. The dealer told me my torque converter is bad and My 3rd gears is going bad. So they said I need a new transmission. Is the purpose of an extended warranty to prevent you from paying for problem with your vehicle. We CARCHEX hasn't stood by what I trusted them to do. They want me to spend 540.00 to flush transmission fluid before they will fix my bad torque converter. They are trying to use every code in the book to go against paying to fix my vehicle. If I knew they would work against me than for me I would have not went with them. It's crazy. Your warranty company would fight to have to spend more of your money before they fix a broken part. So disappointing. Now I'm thinking about just buying a vehicle and say ** it with the truck and CARCHEX.

I tried CarShield and they were giving me some runaround about covering the drivetrain and they told me that they had to negotiate parts and labor. Mechanics will make $85 an hour that have master’s degrees in automotive science. They charge $100 just to talk to them. You don’t negotiate with a mechanic that cost you $115 an hour to sit. That was an alarm bell for me, so I didn't sign up with them. CARCHEX is associated with Carfax which is a Better Business Bureau certified and accepted. I’m with them at $126 a month for three years. There has been no glitches and so far, so good.

When my manufacturer warranty ran out, I thought getting an extended warranty was probably best. But I had a CARCHEX warranty before and it hardly covered anything. Their only explanation was that I was being charged two months. I looked at several companies but there was nowhere I could go to get a cheaper rate so it put me in a hole. I was able to get the rate and the coverage that I wanted with CARCHEX but I had to negotiate all that and they played ball. I kept getting transferred. When I requested the price, the rep sent me up to his manager then we went back and forth a few times until we finally decided upon a price. How valuable having a warranty is varies depending on the vehicle. I've got an expensive vehicle to work on so I will save as much as I can. If I can get coverage for 10% of my parts and labor, the warranty would be worth it for me.

CARCHEX took a good sale but when I got the package, it wasn’t what they said it was. When I spoke to the guy on the phone, he said everything would be covered except for general maintenance and things that my insurance would cover, like if I had an accident and I mess up my radiator. As far as the general maintenance, I have to do oil changes, replace batteries, rotate my tires and things of that nature. He said everything else was covered and he used the word “bumper-to-bumper.”
When I got the policy and I was looking over it the different features that I have on my vehicle weren’t covered, such as the keyless door thing, the keypad. I have a sunroof on my car and the sunroof isn’t covered as well. Brakes or the braking lining or the braking system is covered, but my brake pads aren’t. So because I do preventative maintenance on my vehicle I wasn’t gonna need the policy.
They said that it will cover a transmission but I just got the vehicle at the end of the spring, and I only have about 41,000 miles on my car. Typically, a transmission goes wrong once you get in the hundreds of thousands of miles. When transmissions go out, your warranty would be expired anyway so I’m not gonna pay $2,500 for a warranty that wouldn’t cover a transmission when I need it anyway. I ended up cancelling my policy. The customer service was good but the lady who I spoke to, to cancel my policy was very reluctant in doing so. I know that they have retention goals and it took a little more for me to cancel than I would've liked to, but it had been taken care of.

I've had CARCHEX for a few years now and I’ve done three contracts with them. I prefer them over other auto warranty providers as I seem to have good luck with them. My purchase experience with them was fine. I’ve always dealt with the same person. But I just cancelled the protection plan for my vehicle that I purchased from them because I traded the vehicle in. The customer has 30 days to cancel and then it’s pro-rated after that. Other than that, it has been fine with them.

I was very disappointed the way I was treated by the salesperson Mr. Jahmar **. He didn't inform me that in order to cancel my extended warranty once I purchased I was required to write a letter and could not cancel over the telephone, even though I had canceled it within 2 hours of buying. In addition, I had no access to the contract until I bought the extended warranty. In addition, he poorly explained the details of the extended warranty and did not indicate most salient points. I felt that he wasn't concerned about my welfare only his commission.

The reps were knowledgeable, although they were a little pushy. But after purchasing the contract with CARCHEX, I started reading reviews and I didn’t like them. So, I cancelled my policy with CARCHEX and I don’t have a contract with them anymore. To cancel, I called them and they gave me the number of the cancellation department. Then I emailed a written note to them and got a confirmation for the cancellation. Three business days later, I got my refund.

The warranty on my car was running out from when I bought it. So I didn't want to have to go pay out $8,000 or so to put a new motor in a car if I had to. CARCHEX was the cheapest. They were straight up to the point with everything. If I had a question, the specialist answered it. He was very friendly with everything and was easy to talk to. I am doing monthly payments on it and it's set up as a direct auto pay. I used to do auto mechanic, and I know how expensive it is to fix these cars. If I only gotta fork out 100 bucks for something that's gonna cost me two grand, I'll fork out the $100. My vehicle is a couple of years old. Chrysler only offers the three-year / 36,000 coverage. I have gone on a few nice trips with the vehicle on the road and have put some miles on it and, now, it's 30,000. So, I asked myself if I would trade the vehicle in or take it and buy an extended warranty. I went online and there was a 4.5-star rating for the CARCHEX. They were the highest rating company, so I went with them. Purchasing the warranty was very simple. I did it online and all it took was 15 minutes. I then got a phone call back and I dealt with a fantastic gentleman from the North Side, Chicago. He mentioned that the Titanium Warranty is identical to what the Chrysler offers through Mopar. Everything is very expensive in new cars and if you don't have a warranty, everything is left up to you.

I bought a third vehicle that came with no warranty. It was a used car in decent shape and with low mileage for its age. I have extended warranty through the dealerships for my other vehicles so I chose to reach out and get one on this car as well to make sure it's protected in case something happened. I reached out to another company and they were hassling me a lot and trying to force me to go with them, so I blocked their numbers and looked into CARCHEX. They were decent and not pushy. They worked with me to get the best pricing possible and I was pleased. I have a 2008 Saturn Sky and it's a 10-year old car. Everything has been replaced, so it's in great shape. It's not like it's gonna break down in 1,000 miles, but other things could. For example, I had the compressor go out a couple of weeks ago. I looked into getting a coverage for my car and it looked like CARCHEX might have been a good company and when I talked to Endurance which is the top company, they said that CARCHEX is okay, but they're not that great.
The people at CARCHEX were not honest with me when I bought the plan. They said that I was gonna pay $132 on the first, and then I would wait 30 days, and if I got any incident, I will be covered. However, that's not true. When they sent me the booklet, I read the booklet, and it says 30 days plus 1,000 miles. I don't put that many miles on my car. I drive my car maybe two or three times a week and it would take me forever to make 1,000 miles.
CARCHEX's rep guy talked to us through the phone and the manager got on there. The manager was weird as hell. He kept screaming, talking and did not give me a chance to explain anything. I could not get him to transfer me over to the area to cancel the contract. I told him that with CarShield, it was a 20-day wait time and then I could go ahead and make a claim if I needed to, which I did. Although CarShield fell through on what they covered, there was no 1,000 mile wait time with them.
I told the manager that I wanna be out of this coverage. So I did what they asked me to do online. They sent me something to fill out and I sent it back. Then they sent back another thing, and they said that they needed me to write a letter and tell them all of the things. So, I did that and the letter would go out in today's mail. It was a bad experience with CARCHEX. I keep thinking about it and I think my powertrain is gonna go at least to 200,000 or 250,000. So maybe, I'm just gonna blow the whole thing off because it's in great condition and I would pay for the expenses as they go.

The cost of repair of vehicles is expensive. I can get hit with a $500 repair in just a snap of a finger, a couple of hours of the labor and a lot of parts are high tech. So it doesn't take much to get a set of $500 repair or a $1000 repair car warranty. I felt comfortable with the CARCHEX representative I dealt with. He answered most of my concerns. I knew exactly what I wanted, and he gave me time to think about it. Then, he followed my instructions as to when I was ready to buy.

Based on past experiences, having extended coverage is valuable. I know how things just seem to happen with cars at the worst times. Having a warranty where I only have to pay $100 as opposed to paying the whole bill will definitely be beneficial down the line.

I had some bad experience with an extended warranty company for my vehicle. They asked me to stay but I didn't. I had been with Carchex before for another vehicle and I know they are good so I contacted them and re-established more services with them. Purchasing from them was simple and quick. They still walked me through to let me know how things are. They gave me the same type of plan from my previous vehicle and I got a cheaper and better rate than I had before. It was really good because it fits my budget.

I was jerked around with my previous vehicle protection provider. After the warranty got expired, I looked up for another one. I ended up with CARCHEX based on comments, ratings, and reviews that I compared. The mileage is pretty reasonable as far the year goes. The purchasing process was a breeze too and the associate who helped me through the process knew what he was talking about. He's a salesperson, but I never felt like he was just trying to get me to purchase on it. He really told the truth and solidified everything.

Repairs can be expensive so it is important to have an extended coverage on my vehicle. I was looking for some warranties, and I saw that CARCHEX was approved by the Better Business Bureau. The guy I worked with made the purchasing process smooth. He was excellent and he gave me a good rate. Also, he was familiar with the car I drive because he drives a similar vehicle. So, he made sure that it is covered on everything and that if ever I ran into something, I’d be situated.

The regular warranty on my vehicle ran out. It has a lot of electronics on it, so I figured, I'd better get some kinda extra coverage for it. The dealer offered me a certain price for three years and there was no way that I wanted to spend that kind of money on just three years. CARCHEX was the first one I saw online and the coverage they offered was for six years, so I went with them. I had an enlightening and good experience with their reps. They were good as far as any questions I had and they were knowledgeable. The process took a little longer than I expected, but I've never purchased stuff like this before so that was why it was different. And when I compared the cost of the policy to getting a big bad repair bill, it is worth it.

We bought a used vehicle. And then when we were at the dealership, they were pushing the extended warranty on it. We thought about having it so that it would protect the car if we were to transfer it to our daughter in the future, but when we looked at different people’s extended warranties, the process of doing that wasn’t very good. We’re getting older, so we don’t know for sure if we’re gonna just be able to transfer it to her. It just wouldn’t get done right, and she wouldn’t get the advantage of it.
I called CARCHEX and talked to them. It sounded like the company and everything they said were good. They told me all the benefits and then they gave me several discounts but it’s still was close to $3,000 to get it. At the time, I didn’t really know if I wanted that or not, so I thought about it. We decided not to take it. Then I started looking at it, thinking about it. And then I signed up for CARCHEX but I cancelled it because I don’t really think it’s what we need. We have a certified GM vehicle which comes with extra warranties on it. So, in the end we decided not to get extended warranties on it because we don’t drive very much, so we’re not gonna put that many miles on it. I also paid CARCHEX $150, so I’m hoping to get refunded on it.
The reps from CARCHEX were okay. But the one thing that I had a problem with was that I was trying to get back to them so that I could cancel it, and I couldn’t get anybody. I had their numbers. I called that and then they didn’t call me back. So then I just went ahead and called in and got whoever, and told them that I wanted to cancel it. They said it was gonna be a couple of weeks for them to send me a contract but then after that, I don’t wanna be charged. The rep talked me into setting up the installment plan, so I did it.
They sent me the form to cancel it and I’m trying to fill out the form, but it asked for a contract which I didn’t have one. So, I used the customer number instead. I called back the same person that I’ve done that with, and I couldn’t get him. He wouldn’t call me back. They also asked for a letter. I made one and then I copied the thing that they sent me and put that with my letter and fill it out the best I could and sent it in, and I’m hoping for the best.

I bought a used car and I needed a warranty for it. I had talked to several providers and some of them were more pushy, on the salesman's side, while I really liked what Sean, the representative from CARCHEX, had to say. He was very open, honest and professional, and was not pushy. I just had surgery, so I wasn’t back to work yet, and Sean told me to take my time. The payment plan was also explained that I could do it for many months depending on how much I could afford. So, I chose the 24 months. Their prices are very reasonable too and the warranty got a lot more coverage than some other policies. My boyfriend is working on a policy with them right now as well.

I have a Mercedes and when I was at the dealer, they told me that my warranty would be up at 70,000 miles. I'm at 59,000 miles and they told me to get a warranty before my warranty was up. They told me that a lot of their customers have CARCHEX. The CARCHEX rep was good, but there was one thing that was left out. I was told that everything will be covered from bumper to bumper. I read the coverage and there was a lot of stuff that isn't covered. I had to call back and get them to add the emissions warranty package with my warranty. I'm glad I looked at it and read it.
The price was high and they had to break it down into longer monthly payments. They told me that they were gonna work something out, but they just extended it to a longer period of time. They didn't give me a discount. It is $7,100 for four years and only 40,000 miles. That's about $1,700 for every 10,000 miles, which is like paying $0.10 to $0.15 per mile that you drive. Paying $570 a month for a note is not something I wanna do, then I have to pay another $300 more for coverage. That's $875 and then another $300 for the insurance. It is almost $1,200 a month to operate this vehicle.

To make sure I was not stuck with a broken car and a broken wallet at the same time, I looked into getting an extended coverage. The salesperson from CARCHEX was nice, straightforward and gave me all the information on my questions. He was knowledgeable and pushed me a little but in the right direction. He helped me decide and gave me options. He was also easy to work with. I just purchased the warranty and hopefully, I wouldn’t need to use it but I will recommend CARCHEX.

I have had not one but two policies and was totally sold a bill of goods to renew. Only had three service calls and each time was hassled and put through the wringer getting my claim paid. Then when I asked for my rewards form for which I am supposed to get, get a you must call back and get passed around to speak to someone else.
Then they put a rep on to try and upsell me because my 2nd contract is ready to expire when I just want the form to get my promised reward money which I never got and they have the stones to try to get me to signup again when if they wanted to do the right thing should refund my money as this place is all about taking your money and not giving proper service.

My extended warranty expired. I wanted to keep the vehicle and to have some coverage on it. I've done some research and gone to CARCHEX, but they had some typical sales tactics about wanting me to purchase there on the phone and not wanting me to review the policy, but I was persistent on reading it first. They offered me about five different policies before we found one that was suitable.
It was pretty straightforward and easy to set up the plan. They sent me some emails, I read the policies, they called me two or three times, and when I finally agreed to it, I just had to finalize the purchase through the email. Having a car protection plan is worth it. But, it still depends on your personal situation. If you're going to purchase one, make sure to read the policies and the fine print first before buying.

My car's factory coverage didn't seem to cover everything that we needed to cover for a very long period of time, especially electronics. A protection plan for a vehicle is a necessity. I've been through it with three other vehicles. I looked into extended coverage and I ended up getting one from CARCHEX as theirs has the same price for more coverage. Also, their staff was knowledgeable. The first gentleman I talked to passed me over to his manager. He went into it in more depth and really covered what the coverages were and it was what I was looking for. It was a good buying experience. I've already recommended CARCHEX to another family member.

We took out a CARCHEX policy because of the wonderful reviews but realized we should have stayed away from them. They told us that our policy would cover engine repair/replacement and that is exactly what our policy says. When our car engine blew CARCHEX decided that it did not "die" a particular way so that engine would not be covered. This was not clearly indicated in our contract and was worded in a way that was very confusing. Go somewhere else if you can... also beware of their customer service... we were placed on hold for over an hour and transferred at least 6 times EVERY TIME we called. Very frustrating. Either they were hoping we would just give up or really did not care. I will post this review on other sites because I don't want this to happen to others, particularly senior citizens. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Warranty shoppers please beware!

Getting an extended coverage was something I had been wanting to do. I own a Beemer, which I've had for about five months, and I was ready to go ahead and get me a warranty on it just in case. I saw that CARCHEX was number one rated, so I went with them. CARCHEX is also fairly priced. Before, I had Red Shield, and they were decent. I never used them other than I had to have an alternator replaced, and I felt like I was paying more with them than CARCHEX. I worked with two gentlemen at CARCHEX and they were both knowledgeable. One of them said that he owned a BMW, so he was familiar. And he said that I was making a good decision.

Having a vehicle protection plan is important. My wife is gonna be using the car and I have to travel a lot so I want to have a peace of mind. It’s reasonable to have a vehicle protection plan. I have an expensive car that I wanted to make sure if anything happens in the future, it's not gonna cost me a lot. I was looking for some quotes online and the next thing I knew, CARCHEX called me in the morning, and I bought their plan. But I'm gonna cancel the coverage because there was another company which offered me a really great plan at such a lower price. CARCHEX was good though, particularly with their people when I was purchasing the warranty.

I had extended coverage on my vehicle when I bought it and I was under the assumption that when I paid it off a year early, I'd still have that insurance. But, I didn't. I saw a CARCHEX commercial on TV and thought of calling them. When I did, the rep was a little pushy so I didn't get the extended coverage from them yet because I don’t like pushy people. I also told him that the price was a little too high for me. When he called me back, he told me that he could lower it for me. Since I still have low miles on my vehicle, the price was still kinda high, and so I told him that. But then, he was able to lower the price again, so I went ahead and did it.
The rep was knowledgeable, though. I had a lot of questions and he pretty much answered all of them. I asked him what is the kind of coverage, what does it entail, and what is covered on my vehicle. He said it was bumper to bumper then went through the whole list of things that are not covered. He also told me what would be my deductible and said that I can take my vehicle anywhere I wanted because they're local.
I have a backup vehicle just in case something happens to my car, but it feels safer to have CARCHEX. I work at 11:30 at night, so I don’t get home until midnight. My coverage has roadside service. I know that if I have an issue, I can call a tow truck, wait for it without getting out of the vehicle, and have my car taken right to the dealership or anywhere I want it fixed. Then, they can do whatever and find out what's wrong and I don’t have to worry about it. Unlike with AAA, which mine was cancelled because they're mad expensive, you can get the coverage where you get more tows, but you're only allowed three a year.

I wanted my car to be covered in case something happens. I purchased a warranty from CARCHEX who did a really good job getting it where I could afford the payment each month. They worked their butts off to get the payments where I needed them. The representative gave me all the information that I asked for and assisted me very thoroughly. Gary, his supervisor did real good for me, and he made sure I could get my car covered. It’s really good that I’m gonna have protection for now.

This company is an absolute rip off! I purchased the warranty plan in April of 2018. I spoke with Ronnie ** at length trying to determine which coverage would meet my needs. I have a BMW which repairs can be costly so I was researching protection. My specific question was if the check engine light comes on, the repairs will be covered? The response was yes, anything dealing with the engine will be covered.
Fast forward, in August my check engine light came on. Knowing I had protection, I wasn't too concerned knowing I would only be responsible the $200 deductible. Makes sense right? No, because the issue was an "emissions issue" not engine. After going back and forth being told yes it should to no it's not, I was defeated and I assumed the cost of an $1800+ repair. I was then offered a half-ass consolation from Adam regarding. Previous call regarding TMS which I was initially told was not covered under the warranty. He then went to explain that he notice in the system that I has inquired a few months earlier and it should have been covered and for me to schedule an appointment to have replaced which I did.
The dealership tried to explain to then when service request was submitted that the battery life was pretty much the same. This means that 1 is reading faulty now however it was recommended to replace all 4. We went round and round back and forth. Fast forward to a few weeks later when it was time for my inspection, the TMS stayed on. All sensors are faulty (lol). Simple enough, right? All 4 can be replaced now so request was submitted. Carchex indicated that they would send out an inspector within 48 hours. The inspector went out to the dealership and received confirmation all 4 sensors failed. My deductible $200. The total was over $1131.67 and Carchex only paid $367.27 and the remaining balance was my responsibility. The explanation provided was regarding a market rate for repairs. I have tried to access coverage at 3 times and each time I have gotten either a denial, push back or an unreasonable explanation.

If you have a BMW, having a warranty is very valuable. Auto parts are expensive. I got a plan from CARCHEX as they were one among those with the 5-star reviews and the pricing was right for me. In buying the warranty, everything was pretty self-explanatory and simple. The finance individual and the individual who took care of me with the plan were very informative. They also answered every question that I had.

Everything worked out good with CARCHEX. There were two people I talked to, and they were both good. They were telling me everything including the benefits and they also got the price down reasonable for me. They didn't tell me how to file claims but they’re gonna send me a package deal in the mail. The warranty is valuable. You never know what could happen on down the road.

The car that I got was high-maintenance and sensitive. I had that kind of car before and I know sometimes, they mess up. CARCHEX called me and I picked an extended warranty for any future problems. The reps from CARCHEX were helpful and they worked with me. They were trying to sell me a different package but I ended up going with the premium one. They explained everything and did the job well. I only have one vehicle at the moment, so a protection plan is very valuable.

I bought a BMW from BMW Car Club of America. It has known motor issues in that year span and being it a farm car, it can be quite expensive if things break, so I wanted to make sure I got everything covered. The car club recommended CARCHEX and it was a great experience purchasing a protection plan from them. I just put my name and information in, then they called me within a few minutes and kinda walked me through everything.
However, when I said it was a little expensive and I was gonna have to talk to my wife, the guy told me to hold on and he would see what he could do. Then, another guy got on. This reminded me of the car salesman style where you'll get to talk to a manager and then the manager will make the deal. That's what happened. The manager got on the phone, but he was great and super nice. He took care of me and gave me a great price which I can't complain about. The only weird thing was that the guy on the phone couldn’t do it and had to get his manager involved, and then his manager had to close the deal.
Other than that, the people who I've talked to knew exactly kind of what goes wrong in the particular brand of car that I have and which areas I should get coverage on, which I didn't expect. Having the plan is priceless. After I hung up the phone and paid for the coverage, I felt more comfortable because given the things that can go wrong with the car that can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars, it is nice to know that I am protected. I am happy with CARCHEX and I'd recommend them.

Any time I buy a car, whether it's used or not, I buy extended warranties so I have coverage for it. I had a warranty when I got the car but it wasn't that good so I looked into CARCHEX. The rep explained everything that I needed to know and answered all the questions that were my concern. It also sounded like a good plan so I went with that and as long as they hold up to the end of the bargain, I'll be happy.
