I saw Stateway and it was the customer referrals that I read that I chose to use them. I bought a vehicle that was in Florida from a friend and needed it shipped off to Pennsylvania. The price was competitive. It was a little lower than everybody else but that was the whole point of looking around. Everything was taken care of properly by the organizer. I had no issues. It took 2 weeks or less than that from the beginning to end. Basically it was smooth sailing and easy. Everything was just perfect!

I am not going to over-dramatize for rating, but I want to cue others in to what's happening to me right now. I entered into contract with Stateway Auto on Nov. 19th and gave them what sounds on this site to be the usual $185 up front. Adam told me it takes 3-7 business days most times to be picked up, but it sometimes is sooner, so be ready.
I was concerned because I've never shipped a vehicle, but he said they ship over 200 cars a week on average, so I then I thought there was no need to worry. He also said they have a fleet of their own trucks and they make more money using their own and do so as often as they can. Again, I thought they are professionals. I looked them up on the BBB website and when saw they had a C- accreditation I almost crossed them off the list of transport companies, until I saw a link to a 20/20 expose about BBB reviews. I decided to give them the benefit of doubt, so I read reviews on this site before even requesting a quote from Stateway and I saw mostly 5 star reviews.
Stateway responded to one reviewer by saying that they "Strive to better service" by listening to customers. I noticed after reading the reviews back to 2010 that the #1 complaint almost to a person was that customers cannot get anyone to answer the phone at Stateway. I have called several times since the fourth business day after making the order to three different peoples' extensions (Adam, Kim, and Anthony), never once did anyone answer. I do get calls back, but it is always someone different sounding like they are reading from a script... "I'm sorry...driver not assigned...when they are, you will get an email... driver will call." I know this stuff, I just need my truck picked up.
Kim called yesterday (somehow it always goes to my voice mail, must be coincidence) and left a message saying that drivers don't like going that far from the interstate, and they have to go over mountains, it's up in the northern part of the state, too far... They ship over 200 cars a week, don't they know all this? How is it that there are any surprises to them when it comes to where vehicles can be picked up from? Anyway, it is 12/4/13 and my truck hasn't been assigned a driver (they apparently don't assign the drivers, the drivers choose the what, when, and where) and I get emails saying they are busy with the high volume of calls. I will post back on here after I get my truck and let you know how it went and more importantly, how long it took to get assigned.

The company has contacted me, and explained to me the error or message that was lost in transaction. They are making the effort to have this fixed in the mean time. Once the transaction is done, i ll keep you all the update.

Order #** - I placed an order on 11/13/13 Stateway Auto Transportation to ship my car from WA to VA. Today is 12/02/13, my car still sitting in my parking lot and not being pick up. Worse than that is I was told that my car is being expedited on 11/20/13. The personnel Bill never personally reply my email since I ordered. The customer service/dispatch never pick up the phone, however, they do reply once a while. The answer they had were they are trying every best but at this time is UNKNOWN. They will let us know asap since November 20. I am not kidding. I call and email about every day... but THEY DO NOT CARE.
I was about to go with another company. Lucky that they all share the same system and dispatch/drivers. The second company told me that STATEWAY DID NOTHING since 11/23. The reason they can't pick up because of the area is very north and is hard to find a driver that willing to go extra mile. Oh my god, after all these time I have to find out the reason from another company????? If Stateway cannot go extra miles, they shouldn't promise or accept the deposit to begin with. Also, they should update their website to 'Not to trust us if you are not living in the areas of our drivers.'
Don't you hate to deal with this type of company and people who know nothing and can't give you an update. I told the new company as I am willing to take the car a little south to convenience the driver if possible. I heard a lot of good comment about Stateway, but only if you are living in the big states and convenience their routes. Otherwise this company will not do anything extra to accommodate you. They just play game and hoping that I will cancel my order so they can have the easy way out and not lose a dime... I am sure this is what Stateway want. They rather cancel my order or make me to cancel it instead of complete the JOB which for sure will save them $$$.
I will post an update and let you all know the end result or feel free to email me. I never write complaints to so many website or sent so many emails to the company (no answers). You can tell how frustrated I am with Stateway. If I decided to go with another company, I'll post it and let you all know.

I had to ship my vehicle from Phoenix, AZ to Charlotte, NC. It was an older vehicle and I had to send it to my grandson. I found Stateway from the internet. The price was good. It was probably the best one of the several that I got. And they were all great. No problem whatsoever. I gave them the date that I wanted it done and everything was perfect. Transporter showed up that day and took my truck and it was gone. Very efficient. I recommend them.

I needed a company van picked up from a different office and delivered here in our office in Montana. I found Stateway Auto online and contacted them. They gave me the best rate and insurance and were bonded, and all that stuff was comparable with the other transport places that were charging higher rates, so I went with Stateway. First time I’ve ever done it and it was a great experience.

My first time ever shipping my car was actually a very pleasant experience. I was nervous at first, but being reassured by Sam, my representative, I was calm and very comfortable that this would be an ideal experience. The process was fast and all their guidelines were met on a timely matter and my car was safely and quickly shipped. I moved from Orlando to Niles (in Illinois) and I received my car exactly when I was told.
I moved to Illinois because of a new job, so if things work out, my husband and mother will be shipping their cars as well. They weren't the most cheapest, but not necessarily the most expensive. But for the experience I got, I am grateful I chose this company. I definitely recommend them.

I have never shipped a car before, and no one I knew has either, so I went online and did some research. I came across Stateway Auto Transport by accident, but the reason I chose them was because they had very good reviews on "car shipping" sites and it was a big plus for me that they were kinda close to where I live. I placed my order over the phone with Adam, who was very knowledgeable about the industry and answered about 100 questions I had. He was very patient and understanding with me. He explained the shipping process to me and advised me on what I can and can't put in the car.
I scheduled my car to be picked up on or around September 28th and on the 29th Kim, called from Stateway and let me know that a driver was coming to pick my car that evening. 3 days later my car arrived, in perfect condition, in New York. A few days after receiving my car, Diana called from Stateway to check in with me and to make sure that everything was okay and that I was happy with the service they provided me with.
Overall, I had a great first time experience and if I have the need to ship my car again I will use Stateway Auto Transport again in the future. Everyone from Adam to John, the actual driver who picked up and delivered my car, to each and every person that I spoke to at Stateway was wonderful. They really understood my needs and walked me through it from the very beginning to the end of the process. VERY PLEASED WITH MY EXPERIENCE USING STATEWAY - HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!

Was guaranteed the car would be picked up within 1-5 business days... After day 7 I had to go with another company. This was after offering $100 more for the pick-up and $50 out of Stateway's deposit to try and get another driver. To be fair.. it seems like no matter who you go with it will be a crap shoot... This is a very unreliable business. But when you can never speak to someone when you call, and when someone finally calls you back after the day has been wasted, you would like more than the same canned response every time. You would like to feel someone is working for you and looking out for your needs and you won't find that with Stateway.

I was in the military and moved cross country. I heard about Stateway Auto through online search. They seemed to have the best price. We called one day and set up for the car to be picked up a week later. And then it took about eight days to get it across the country. Interaction with the transport organizer and the carrier driver was great. There were no problems at all. It’s very efficient. They’re very easy to work with. It went exactly as planned with no damage to the car.

I had a friend who used the service of Stateway Auto Transport and she recommended it. I was just moving for a job from the San Francisco area to Southampton, New York. It took about 5 days. They actually quoted me a little longer. So it has actually gone a little shorter than expected. It was a reasonable price. They were pretty helpful. If I couldn’t get a hold of somebody, somebody on another phone number or line would get back to me. So the fact that there was always somebody reachable was a good thing.

My daughter moved to California for a job and needed her vehicle shipped. I talked to a number of people, a number of companies, and Stateway’s estimate was fair. It was one of the lower bids, not the lowest, but the rep who I talked to was just helpful, didn’t rush me to make a decision, and gave me a phone number and I just felt comfortable. The carrier driver was fine. I got his phone number and talked to him. He would tell me where he was along the way when I called him and was actually a day early. There was no problem at all.

Stateway Auto is very responsive and they met my needs. I was happy with the results. My first experience was good and that’s why I went back to them and my second experience was really good. I remember the first time we needed to ship a car in the first place, I think we went online. It was in Google, ‘car transports’ and they were one of the companies that popped up and they’re good. The first time we used them, we shipped our son’s car from Phoenix to Cleveland, Ohio and we were happy with what they did and the price seems reasonable and competitive to what everybody else was doing.
The second time I’ve used Stateway Auto, I shipped the vehicle from Atlanta, Georgia to Phoenix, Arizona. My wife took a job there and she’s temporarily there for a while so we needed to get her vehicle to her. We actually started the bidding process again and talked to a couple of places. We had a good experience with the last place. I just went back in my files and found the receipt and all that and then we called them and actually talked to the same gentleman that helped us the last time. We set something up with them and things went perfect and we’re happy with them. So if I ever have a need to ship another vehicle, I’ll just call them and see what’s going on with them and I will recommend them to other people.

This company low balls the transport fee to get your business and your upfront deposit. I have made repeated attempts to contact them with no response. The amount offered to the truck driver is so low my car will never be picked up. Please do yourself a favor and go with a reputable company that will do what they say they will do. It is a shame that this company makes all companies in the business look bad. Don't believe their 4-star rating... it is fabricated. They have had hundreds of complaints through the BBB. Spend time to educate yourself on these guys. There are just too many other good companies that deserve your business. Shame on Stateway. I have been ripped off and I hope you don't.

I called on Thursday Oct 3rd to get my elderly parent's car shipped from Chicago to FL as they go there every winter. This year, we are a little late and needed the car picked up by Tues Oct 8th. Rachel and Kim went above and beyond to get the car picked up and we couldn't be any happier. We normally schedule in August but this year as I stated were a little late due to my father being ill and it was up in the air if my parents would make it down to Florida. I knew from previous times that they require a window, but Rachel did give me an option of expedited pick up which we opted to do this year. The car was picked up on Friday afternoon so well worth the extra fee. I did, however, already schedule a return trip for my parents in April which is great because they did give us a returning customer discount plus took a little more of the rate since I was scheduling two orders in one day. Thank you Stateway, Rachel and Kim for your fabulous service!!!!

I arranged to have my car moved from Missouri to California with Bill from Stateway Auto Transport. After he had my deposit and credit card number I never heard from him again. He didn't return my emails or phone calls - all calls/emails were answered by an extremely rude, unhelpful woman named Danielle. It was a consistent game of overpromising and under delivering throughout the entire experience.
I was told it would take 48 hours to get the car assigned to a driver and then four days after that it would arrive in California as was their seven day "guarantee" (which I was later told, “well, it isn't exactly a guarantee”). It took almost a week to assign the driver and only after I called and called to try and get answers. The driver was assigned but only after Stateway offered an extra 100 dollars to take the job which I was expected to float to the actual driver of the truck. Plus, I wasn't told about the extra money until I got an invoice for the incorrect amount and again called and called and called only to have Danielle return my call and give a nonsensical answer about them "not making money" and they would reimburse me the $100 in 24 hours. Cue another round of phone calls and seven more days before the amount was paid back.
In summary: completely terrible customer service (read my one star rating as a zero star rating) from a company that I will never give another penny to and you shouldn't either. Learn from my mistake. Work directly with a trucking company. Stateway - try a little customer service next time. It will go a long way in an industry where you might want to differentiate yourself from your competition since ultimately brokers don’t do anything.

I first was contacted by this company after advertising that I needed to ship a pick up truck from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Massachusetts. Of course they had the lowest quote of ten shipping companies. They took all of my information and then needed my credit card info to book a driver. I gave it to them. When I went to make pick up and delivery dates, they came back and changed my quote to over $400 more. I personally spoke to them on the phone and I told them I don't want to do business with people like that and I said, "Give me my deposit back". The next day, a sales rep called me and again they tried to reverse my decision. I refused to change my mind. They told me it could take 7 days to make the refund. It has been almost a month and still they have not returned my money.

As some of the recent reviews, I too was told by Bill that my van would be picked up probably after the weekend, as drivers don't like to pick up on weekends. This was on 9/26/2013 a Thursday. He said it would be a Monday, Tuesday, maybe Wednesday time frame, because my van is extended cargo. Call Bill a couple times, same recordings as stating in other reviews, emails, no response. Had Danille call me, told me same thing about offering drivers the deposit up front, still nothing. I also told them this is my truck that I need for work. Here it is 10/8/2013, been calling Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, same recordings, same "someone will call back by end of day” and nothing. If you can't deliver, don't take job! At least then the customer can find a more reliable "Broker/Carrier". Funny thing is I had two other smaller vans to transport at end of month, not by Stateway, they can't even get one to me.

If they tell you they go the extra mile for their customers, THEY REALLY MEAN IT. In my case, it turned out to be an extra 553 miles extra, which was evident when the car was received... with the gas tank empty and the odometer with 553 more miles on it than when they picked it up. This is a rather long story, but the bottom line is: USE STATEWAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. After reading this, YOU WILL HAVE BEEN WARNED.
The indications were there right from the start, and I should have been smart enough to recognize them. Upon receiving many different quotes for shipping the car from Rancho Mirage, California to Vero Beach, Florida, I picked Stateway who was neither the highest nor the lowest bid. They impressed me because they make a big deal out the fact that they use their own trucks. Yes they do HAVE SOME, but my suspicion is that most of their business is done as an aggregator, taking the business and giving it to another trucker. They make no mention of this policy, but imply that others who do offer an inferior service. This is from their website: "What Makes Us So Different? We Are a Carrier. Unlike so many of our competitors, Stateway Auto Transport is a fully insured and licensed carrier. This means that we own our own trucks and that we cut out the middleman for our customers. Why is this important? Being a carrier is essential in getting vehicles moved as quickly and efficiently as possible."
Huh!!?? First of all, the original agreement sent to me by Stateway was totally inaccurate. It had the wrong address on it; the cost for their service did not reflect what they had quoted me; the recipient’s phone number was incorrect; and the model number on the car was incorrect. This was important because they indicated that if the car was longer or wider than expected, there would be an additional charge. The car they cited incorrectly was 9 inches shorter than mine. Based on my experience with Stateway, once you have booked them, they will not answer any calls or respond to emails in any way, regardless of how many you send. It was only after I refused to pay the deposit that they attempted to correct the agreement, a process that took 4 attempts before they got it right. It was comical... They would fix one problem and not the others. Then they would correct the other problems and the first problem would revert to being incorrect again and so on and so on...
My brother-in-law had also originally contracted with them to pick up his car from the same location, but to be dropped off in Connecticut. I emailed Rachel to see if they could pick up both cars at the same time to save the housekeeper from having to go to the house twice. Her emailed response: "yes". Based on that response, we booked them, not realizing that they never planned to pick up both cars up at the same time. My brother-in-law eventually canceled with them after waiting several weeks for a pickup. They then, with no authorization from me, scheduled my pickup with an outside carrier. In fact they scheduled it twice before I authorized it. The third time, again without my authorization, they scheduled a pick up, but fortunately for them, the car was ready.
Because I was overseas, I scheduled them to contact my sister and drop the car off with her. She received a call one day from Stateway saying that the driver was two hours away from Vero Beach, and had been trying to contact her. She called the phone number they gave her, left several messages with the answering service, and canceled her appointments and waited to no avail. Not only did the car not show up on time, but it disappeared totally from the radar. Here is an excerpt from what I emailed to them at that point: "Now, a few minutes ago, (my sister) received a call back from the driver that Sara (from Stateway) gave her the number for, and told her that there is no Lexus on the truck. Is there someone at your company that has any clue as to what is going on? More importantly, where is my car?"
As it turned out, the driver completely bypassed Vero Beach and took the car 4 hours south, to Miami, where it sat for two weeks in a "secure location", according to Susie, the manager at Stateway. She went into great detail with me describing all of the snafus that happened along the way with this job, including employee disruptions, incompetence, etc, etc. The car was finally delivered to me on around June 16th, nearly 2 weeks after they had originally committed. THIS IS WHERE THE REAL PROBLEMS STARTED. I was still overseas and received an email from the estate of the previous owner saying that they received a bill for $4 due to my car passing through a toll without paying in Miami, Florida at midnight. The bill came with a photo confirming that it was indeed my car with the original California plates. HUH?
I immediately contacted the guy looking after the car to confirm the mileage on the car and it was indeed 553 miles higher than when it had left California and the gas tank was empty. I confirmed the extra mileage to Stateway by producing a Notarized document confirming the mileage prior to shipment when the sale of the car was made. Obviously, not only was my car NOT in a secure location, but it was left to be driven around by some idiot without my permission. Simply put, it is auto theft and someone will be held accountable. I have since spent over $3000 to fix the car. It had only 9764 miles on the odometer when it left California, but 553 unauthorized miles later it had balding tires and the front end was out of alignment. The Battery was nearly dead and had to be replaced and the rear brakes were seizing, needing replacement. Based on this, I had to assume the unauthorized drivers were not babying the car and so I requested a full service in it also.
Stateway has not taken responsibility for any of this, other than the office Manager, Susie, committing to speaking to AIMEE TRANSPORT IN MIAMI, who supposedly kept the car in "a VERY secure location". For the record, her promises were empty and it remains unresolved. Believe it or not, this report is simply a summary of the problems we had. For the entire ugly story, based entirely on documented facts, we are in the process of building a website. In it, I will document my adventure with them from beginning to end and it will allow others who have had similar problems to provide content. It is still under construction so be patient!

I have a daughter that lives in California and I wanted to get a vehicle up to her. She was just getting around on public transportation and a bicycle. I wanted to get her truck up to her. And when I got to look into what it cost usually to ship a vehicle versus me driving it up there and having her in a hotel room and then flying, it was just super convenient to have it shipped.
I just got on the internet and I typed in shipping and where the vehicle is coming from and going to and then just a whole bunch of emails. Stateway had one of the better prices out of all the other. That’s what made me go with them. I liked some of the stuff they said and then the fact that it’s door-to-door delivery.
My interactions with the transport organizer and the carrier driver went well. The driver called me when he was on his way and he was on time. He actually pulled down my street. I just thought it was pretty neat to ship a vehicle cross country like that for $800 or $900. I don’t remember how long it took, maybe three or four days to get there.
The truck was a Ford Explorer so they let me put a few items in the back of it. I put a TV set, a flat-screen TV, and a couple of guitars that she wanted to have up to her. She got it when it was promised. It was very convenient and very cost effective.

The driver was great, but I wasn’t too happy with the organizer. They didn’t get back to me all the time. There was a big delay in me getting a driver that would come here in the country where I lived and they just didn’t seem to respond to me when I would call or send emails. It was kind of like taunting me to find out when my car was going to be shipped. But when I did talk to them, they were pretty good. My experience with the transport organizer and the carrier driver was excellent. They were courteous and very nice. I had no problems. The transport took 3 days. I did not track it using the online tool. I didn’t even try it. It was right smack on time. I would recommend them and I would definitely use them again. And I probably will.

I first contacted Stateway to have our car shipped from Michigan to Florida. Of course I got a quote phone call right away, and after getting a few other quotes decided to go with Stateway. This was the very beginning of August. We needed our car in Florida by a specific date at the end of the month. We have them our deposit which of course came out of our bank account right away. That's when I stopped hearing from them.
As the day approached that we needed our car in Florida, we still hadn't heard anything, so I began calling and emailing on a daily basis, NEVER getting a call or email back. Their voice mail says you will get a call back by the end of the business day. That's a flat out lie! I called and emailed more times than any customer should. Finally about 9 days before we needed our car in Florida, I got a call back. They couldn't figure out why they didn't have a driver so I was passed along to Susie. She gave me her direct number, so I began calling her on a daily basis. She kept telling me they were really trying, and even upped what they were giving the driver, but nothing.
Finally about 5 days before we needed our car, I told Susie I just wanted my money back, even though she was sure they could get someone. How that was gonna happen was beyond me since they couldn't get a driver in all the days they had before and somehow magically she was gonna find a driver, have our car picked up in Michigan and delivered to Florida in 5 days... Yeah, no. Finally she agreed to return our money.
Well, I still have no refund, and I did get an email from accounting a week ago today that we would get our refund in 2-4 business days. That hasn't happened. I have started my emailing and calling all over again and now of course Susie's number is disconnected... DO NOT USE STATEWAY. It has been a nightmare! We ended up having my father-in-law drive our car to us in the end...

I bought a ’79 Jeep. It was in Virginia and I live in Albuquerque, NM. I needed to ship the vehicle so I just went online on transport reviews. That’s where I first heard about Stateway Auto. Bill contacted me about three times and then I decided to go with him after having really bad outcomes with four or five transport companies. The price quote sounded a little high, but he got the job done.
The carrier driver was excellent. He was somewhat hard to understand because he was Russian, but we took care of that real quick. It’s kind of the same thing. I’ve transported three vehicles; two custom vehicles and then this one. Everybody’s excited to talk to you, they want to talk to you first, and then they all just disappear.
I had to call Bill back a couple of times and I didn’t get Bill. I got somebody else of course. But they’re the ones who got me the carrier within a couple of days. It was four days without communication with them. But overall they were convenient and they were good to their word and to work. I would recommend them.

I used to dread dealing with transport services, so I put off shipping my car for about 3 months, incurring parking tickets, and even getting towed! Finally, I sought quotes from an online service (can't remember which), and I received more than 20 quotes from different companies. Stateway quoted the lowest by a huge margin, but I was skeptical - how can one firm do the same job for so much less? Maybe a fraud or just bad quality, perhaps. But I did call them back just to find out, and they said their low rates were because "they owned the lanes". They also gave the best timelines for shipping, and the person I spoke with was articulate and intelligent (felt like I was at the Genius Bar at the Apple iStore).
The pick-up and delivery went without a hitch - they brought it into Frisco, TX on schedule, and the driver coordinated with my brother at the other end for the deliver. I don't know if this was a one-time great experience or if they are always so good - but I'm not worried about shipping anything long distance anymore! Since then, I've recommended them to many people, every chance I get :)

My sister had passed away and I needed to bring her vehicle from Florida to PA for me to sell for the estate. I first heard about Stateway Auto on the internet. I did not have a good experience with the first one I chose which cost me money, unbeknownst to me. I had contacted someone before and I got a real good lesson on auto transporters.
It’s a very difficult process to have a vehicle shipped like that unless you have a high end exotic because your pickup time is anywhere from the first available day. It was a Friday, but it wasn’t picked up till Monday. This was what happened with the first transporter. I had to have somebody at the house down there every day when they were supposed to come and they didn’t show. Then when I cancelled it because of that, I still had to pay. So that was a valuable lesson. It’s a difficult thing to do. Would I ship another vehicle? I doubt it. That experience for me was not a good experience at a bad time. That’s just in general and nothing against Stateway. I have no problem with them.
The guy I talked to with Stateway explained exactly how it works. After I knew, I chose them and got the car. It worked exactly that way and that was fine. The price quote was fair. I did not even bother tracking the vehicle with the online tool. They called me, kept me informed when he picked it up. He told me approximately when he would be in town. He called me when he was in town and they delivered it right to my door.

I chose Stateway Transport because of the price and a couple of reviews I’ve read on the internet. The organizer was fine. But they need to have drivers that speak better and understand English because it was extremely frustrating trying to understand him and communicating with him. I wasn’t worried about not getting my vehicle or if it would be damaged but it’s just extremely frustrating just not being able to communicate with somebody. But other than that, my experience with Stateway was great.

Please be careful before hiring this company as your carrier. I hired them in August to ship my car from MD to FL. They told me that they will pick up between 1-7 days. And delivery time would be about 2 days. After 2 weeks, they could not find a driver to "pick" up our truck. They kept on telling me that drivers will not pick our truck because Pensacola is away from everything else. They told us if we wanted our car faster, we would have to pick up in Mobile, AL which is over an hour away. We had no choice to agree because we needed our truck.
Well, again, our truck was never picked up. I told them to just forget our "order", and that we wanted a FULL refund of our deposit. It has been about 2 weeks. We still have not received our refund. When I called, and asked them about it, they told me that it will take 7 to 14 days to process the refund. And because those days were over a long weekend (Labor Day), they told me it will take longer. A few days later, I received an email stating that they just processed the refund. And that it will take about a week to get it. I am STILL waiting on my refund. Another thing, no one picks up. You have to leave a message and someone "might" call you back. Each time I called, I had to wait anywhere from 2-3 for a call back.

We were extremely pleased with the honesty, professionalism and courtesy provided by Stateway Auto Transport. First, their price was the best of all the estimates we received and as a working class family, that was a plus. Stateway's website was also first rate. Their Customer Service reps were very friendly, courteous and prompt. The Transport Drivers were also very pleasant and kept us well informed on the delivery day of when to expect them. They arrived on time to the drop off destination and when one of the Drivers noticed I was alone, he offered to drive the vehicle home to save me from coming back later to get it. Both Drivers were personable and a pleasure to do business with. We would not hesitate to use Stateway Auto Transport again. I’m moving from Vancouver, WA to TN so I did an online research and found I think the website called Auto Transport Reputation or something like that. Stateway had good reviews, so I contacted them. I initially placed an order for two vehicles. I was planning on moving one first, and then move the other the second. There were some follow-ups after I made the order. And the initial, before I placed the order, everything was pretty well communicated. But then afterwards, I had a change of plans so I didn’t want to ship the second vehicle.
So I tried to contact my point of contact in Stateway and I wasn’t able to contact him. So I called someone else to cancel the order. But afterwards, there were still drivers contacting me about that vehicle to say that they are coming over to pick up my vehicle. But I cancelled the order probably one or two weeks before my vehicle needed to ship, the second vehicle. Overall, I’d say everything went fine. It was quick and easy.

I went with Stateway because it had something to do with the presentation in terms of the website in play, the way things looked and then were put together.
The transport organizer was very helpful. Because of the relocation, my company was paying the expenses. And there was some question as to how that would be paid. I couldn’t give them everything upfront and they made every effort to work with me, I think that’s paying cash upfront. But I was a little uneasy when the driver contacted me and I told them about my predicament because I wasn’t going to be able to leave the vehicle there. I was going to need it to be stored up there and then delivered or picked up later so I was a little anxious in terms of giving somebody money and my car.
Well, it will be here when you get here, kind of saying that. They kind of coached me through that. I called them back. I said, after I spoke with the driver, and they said, “Well, this is how it’s going to work.” I called Stateway Auto back and said, “Hey, is it a bit shady? Is this common? Can you put my mind at ease, I’m about to give this guy over a thousand dollars.” They just pulled up the reviews and gave me their Stateway rating and really assured me that it was on the up and up. What I really want to say is that I became worried after reading complaints about the company and thought that maybe I had made a mistake and not done enough research on them. But Stateway came through on time. Even though I called and had to left a message each time, they return each call the same day. And when they took the deposit out of my account twice, once I notified them of the error they refunded the amount within three days. The driver was nice enough to let us send clothing and personal items in the car. My son's car arrive in 48 hours in perfect condition. I placed an order to have my vehicle transported from MA to FL on Sunday July 21, 2013 after speaking with Sam who advised the normal pickup time frame was between three and seven days. Seven days went by with no contact from Stateway. Every time I called or emailed I received a reply a day or two later stating that my vehicle was on a list and that they were still waiting for a driver to agree to take my vehicle. After five phone calls I was told by Stateway that they had to raise the price by $150 in hopes that a driver would pickup my vehicle and that they would issue a refund on my credit card for the $150 as I would need to pay to the driver in cash on delivery.
My vehicle was finally picked up in MA twelve days after the order was placed. The driver was nice and the vehicle was delivered three days later in satisfactory condition. I had to pay the driver cash based on the $150 higher price. Despite numerous phone calls and emails over the last ten days I have not received any reply and the $150 overpayment was never refunded to my account. I am now out not only the $150 but also twelve days of a vehicle rental so I could drive to work in FL while my vehicle was still sitting in MA.
Stateway appears to have underbid to gain the order and then failed to fulfill either the time frame or price. I am now out $500 over what I had budgeted due to the failure of Stateway to meet their time frame and contracted cost. Not to mention adding a lot of stress to a long distance relocation.

I had good experience with Stateway. Very good. It was actually my daughter. The family went down to see my grandson graduate boot camp in Georgia. When they got there, something went wrong with the car. She pulled it into the dealership down there and they couldn’t fix it because they had to order parts. Everybody had to go to work. So basically, we got them home by a rental car to Virginia. And then I called around. There was an outfit out of Florida I wouldn’t give you a dime for. I finally got my money back from them. They promised, promised, promised, and nothing was happening. So I got a call from Stateway and the person was pretty nice about it. I talked to her for a few minutes and she said it’ll cost me so much for a quick pickup. We got it picked up and it came up here, and the drivers were great. They were crazy but they were great. They’re from Georgia and they didn’t know which way to go. But they were good. The car and everything got up here fine.
Beginning to end, it took one week. The only reason it took that long is because I think there was cross wires between the one I fired and Stateway. I learned a good experience. You don’t hire two at one time. So basically, Stateway, I think, could have got it a couple of days earlier but I think they had a conflict with the idiots that were in Florida and the dealership basically didn’t know who to release it to until I called them and told them, “Do not give it to these people in Florida.” I can’t remember their name. I got it someplace. And I said, “You will only release it to Stateway.” Once they picked it up, it was here within a day and a half, almost two days.
Stateway is a great outfit. I had a great experience once I got away from the people in Florida. Stateway, I would use them again and I would recommend them. They are good and they are a fair price.

The people at Stateway were nice. There was one other guy that said they may be able to do it but when I Googled that guy, and I don’t know who it was, he did not get good recommendations. But these guys at Stateway, I think, have good recommendations.
The car actually got there before there was anyone there to get it which sort of defied all possibilities. Their service was too quick. So the process of saying to them, “Hey, okay, let’s do this,” they had a carrier for me in about three hours, which was very, very fast. And then they picked the car up the next day. I actually told them I couldn’t have it there before a certain time. It will be nice to have the car there when someone was there to get it. They actually had it there two days early where they thought, and everyone else thought, it would at least be a couple of days after that. No problems. It was fine.
The only complaint I had was they drove the transporter out. And that person has given us a little bit of problem as far as delivery being too quick. And this company, they were sympathetic, but they really couldn’t help us. So I was kind of left hanging. But in the end, everything worked out.

I recently purchased a car online that was located in Portland, Oregon. I needed to get it to Houston and the Dealer suggested Stateway. I insisted the dealer get two quotes but it was clear early on who was the most competitive, Stateway by $250 in my case. I went online and found the site to get the number and although the site seemed a little over the top I was pleased to find Adam very easy to work with when we talked. I was very edgy due to the fact I was already purchasing this vehicle without ever testing it in person, so I had a lot of questions.
Adam patiently answered them to my satisfaction. I asked that we put the deposit down and was surprised as well how reasonable the amount was. He and I discussed contact going forward and he set my expectation like this - The vehicle would be picked up during a window of time on a specific day that I arranged with the dealer. Once the vehicle was en route we would be able to contact the driver to track the progress.
The car would arrive on the date stated during the first half of the day. Although unforeseen issues on the road are possible. They were very flexible in setting the date of pick up. We also discussed that the drivers are limited by law how many miles they can drive in a day, so it was easy to calculate the earliest date of delivery possible. It would turn out that it was virtually in line with that max set by law.
I made arrangements with the dealer and gathered all the detailed info about pickup address and personnel to contact. A driver called me and confirmed the pickup 2 days before. At this point I waited the week for it to arrive. I called in the middle of the week to confirm it was on track as discussed. I got VM when I called and left a note then was contacted by Sara with confirmation. My experience with her was as satisfying as Adam; they both were down to earth, cheerful and communicative.
I then got a call from the driver the day before drop off during which he confirmed my info. My work schedule stacked up on me however and I explained it would be difficult for me to meet the car at my home outside of town. He didn't hesitate to make arrangements with me to meet at my place of work in the Galleria (Houston). The driver was all business but not rude in any way. We continued to stay in touch through cell and text.
The day came and I got a call, ran down stairs and he was already unloading as I arrived. We went over the car together for damage and used a very detailed graphic sheet he had to do so. I was shocked because I had made the hopeful request that the car be loaded on top behind the cab (knowing it may not be possible) and there it was! The car wasn't even that dirty after travelling across half the country, so looking for damage was a quick task. There was no damage and the driver was very helpful. I've used transport services before and can easily say they were the most organized, communicative and competitive yet. I will use them again should the need present itself. They also followed up right after delivery to check on us. For me it was solid, they have great people running a very organized service. No drama!

After seven days the car has still not been assigned. I tried calling several times today from 9am to 4:30 pm with no return call. I will be requesting a return of my deposit and just fly to pick up my new car. Not very happy with the service, or lack of.

I bought an antique truck from a fellow in Alabama, and I needed it here at my house and use them. I started shopping for prices and then I saw Stateway. I put in for some bids, and they turned in a bid and it wasn't the lowest, but it wasn't the highest by any means. It just looked like a solid place, from what I was reading, so I decided to go with them.
The organizer was really easy to understand and get it lined up. I felt real confident with him, and the driver was extra friendly. Just enjoyed dealing with him, and he had my truck turned around in the parking lot in no time at all. Everything was just real clean, and he helped me get it to my house, just the next block over.
I would use Stateway again. I enjoyed their service; it worked real good. I give them a five and I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

I was in Mississipi, and I was on my way to Equine Dental School in Idaho when I was involved in a wreck there in Wyoming. I didn't get damage insurance. My truck was towed, as it was hit by a semi, and then 30-something days later, the auto shop decided that they could fix it, so they shipped it to Colorado and had it repaired there, and they expected me to come and pick it up. Fortunately, the auto shop gave me several names, and I selected Stateway to transport it. The auto shop did an Internet search to find Stateway.
I spoke with someone from Stateway on the phone, and I think they sent an email or two. The carrier driver did call me and I think, the day before delivery, they told me he would call that day, and then he would call me again once he got closer. He was a little off on his delivery time, but he called me. For that, I'll give Stateway a five.

The transport took place about a month ago. Both organizers and the carrier driver are both very respectful. Great customer service. It was always a good thing. It's a simple service as far transporting the vehicle from one place to another. But during that time they are very customer oriented and that's always something as a huge factor. I never had any problems so I'm satisfied with the delivery. The car made it from one place to another without any damages. Simple, easy, effective and satisfactory.

I selected Stateway Auto Transport because of their reasonable price. I had received many quotes and while they were not the lowest, they were very reasonable. I had an unusual experience as I was sort of hounded by a guy from another company who was badmouthing Stateway. This guy was telling me how my deposit would be taken and I would never see my car again. For the price Stateway was quoting, my car would never be transported across the country. I told my Stateway representative, Sam, about these disturbing accusations. He assured me everything would be fine and this guy should be concentrating on making his company look good and not other companies look bad, which made perfect sense to me.
So here's the best part. My driver called me on a Friday morning, said he would be there to get my car that night. He picked up my car Friday night and delivered it to its destination (Ohio) Sunday morning! There were no problems! The driver was very professional. He kept me informed throughout the weekend as to when they would arrive in Ohio. I am so glad we stuck with Stateway.

Original Review: June 24, 2013
On May 31, I called Rachel ** to provide an updated quotation on my Toyota Sienna van needing transport from CA to PA. She called me back and provided me a quote which I accepted it right away and wanted a credit card. First of all, WITHOUT informing me that they will charge my credit card IMMEDIATELY upon reservation, she quickly hung up the phone. Very unprofessional. And later, when I found out that they had charged my credit card ahead of time, I was very angry and wrote an email and called back to the company, but received NO response, just a forwarded terms and condition from Rachel. Honestly, at that point, I should have cancelled everything and filed a dispute with my credit card company immediately. However, I didn't! BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! My car was ready on June 12th and guess what? It is June 23 and my car is still sitting inside the garage in CA! And I, myself, have already flown over to PA (carless and needing to get a ride everywhere).
This company is a TOTAL SCAM! Seriously, every single time you call their toll free line or any phone number or dial any extension... all you will ever get is a voicemail! You can never reach a LIVE person by dialing their phone number. The past weeks of my life, I have been going through emotional distress because of the unprofessionalism of this company. They keep telling me that my car is priced right and tells me that they have expedited it, and even asked me to pay $100 more so it makes it more attractive for drivers to want to pick up my car! I have also agreed to pay for an extra $100... and it has been nearly 5 days since, still NOTHING! They don't even call me back. I have to call them endlessly throughout my day and literally phone harass them to get a call back and telling me that my information is placed in a central system and if a driver wants to pick up my car, I will receive an email.
At this point, I no longer believe this company anymore. This is a total scam for them to charge my credit card upfront and do absolutely NOTHING to assist me in finding a driver to pickup my car. These are the customer service personnel I have spoken to for the last 3 weeks of misery: 1) Rachel - Probably the worst salesperson I have ever seen. Just wants your credit card without explaining ANYTHING to its customers. And in addition, she has never called me back other than forwarding an email with terms and conditions; 2) Sam - He was first to tell me that they can expedite my vehicle by using my deposit money with them. But, it goes nowhere. 3) Kim - Not sure, seems like she is the manager but she is no help. Tells me that I don't understand their business and that I have to stop calling and just wait for my email to come through with driver's info! Hello??? It’s June 23 and MY CAR STILL IN CALIFORNIA garage!
4) Carol - She tries to help but honestly, it goes nowhere. Every single time I talk to her, she keeps telling me that my car is now on the top 25% in terms of price and drivers should call me right away! And yesterday when I spoke to her, she even mentioned that my car was being shipped out of Beverly Hills??? What? 90210. Seriously! My car was being shipped out from Corona, CA 92880... And I have no idea why they have a total mess up on this! Carol mentioned that because in some areas or streets, drivers don't want to go there! But my car isn't even in 90210. My car is in a total accessible area that houses are huge and roads are extremely wide. It is easily accessible to 15/10/60/91 freeway!
I don't know what to say anymore at this point. Please, if any of you are looking to get your car shipped, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST! It will leave you as devastated as I am right now. Living in a very suburb in PA... I can't go anywhere.

I actually had quite a few emails and responses to my request to transport my son's vehicle from PA to FL. What I like about Stateway Auto was the website and the feedback that I saw on the website, like the testimonials from previous people that hired their services. So that's probably the reason why I chose them. Plus the services were guaranteed and I just like what I saw on the website and especially the testimonials which are important if you ask me. And through my whole experience when setting up the move date, they were like right on time. It was affordable. The people that came which were a third party picked up the vehicle and had it delivered in two days. And it was outstanding.
The carrier driver was outstanding. They communicate, once it was confirmed on the date of pick up, their response to the keeping in touch with the exact time that they would be coming and picking up the vehicle at my home; they were very much in contact with my son when they got down to the Florida area - the one that they would be delivering the vehicle to and where to meet. The whole thing went very smoothly. I was very impressed.
I will tell you, I was nervous, a nervous wreck, with the car going thousands of miles across the country. It arrived in great condition. I would definitely use Stateway Auto again.

The way I heard of Stateway Auto was that I just looked for transport companies on the internet and I saw them. I saw that they had their own trucks and it looked like it was pretty good. But then I didn't call them at first because I checked with the Better Business Bureau and saw that they had a C- and were listed as lot of complaints. So I went to another outfit, Magic Carpet, which had an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and that did not work out. They gave me a very low quote and then couldn't get (they were a broker) a driver to comply with it so they asked me for more money. I said I'll throw in some more, they wouldn't throw in anymore and then they couldn't get anybody on that.
So I called back to Stateway and talked to Rachel **. And she was just great. She explained to me that the Better Business Bureau gives you an A rating because you pay them some money. That was quite a disappointment for me but I think I heard that before but if I had, I'd forgotten it. So anyway, then I checked with them and gave her the information, made the deposit, and she complied. I think actually in this case they didn't send one of their own trucks; they acted as a broker. But the fellow that they sent down was prompt, very informative.
He was with, I think, Transworks or something like that. And he was great and the vehicle was a '94 Buick Roadmaster. The guy who had it before had put on smaller tires so it was just barely clearing the ground. He did a great job of getting all that stuff taken care of. And again I credit Stateway with his good work too because they were very responsive and informative when I had questions ahead of time. And they were very responsive on my requests. So anyway, it was a very positive experience for me.
I didn't use the online tracking tool as it was just a short trip. The truck was going up to Denver. So he picked it up at like 10:00 and around 7:30 or 8:00 my son called and said, 'It's off the truck up here,' so I didn't need to do any tracking.
What stood out was that Rachel was persistent. She just left a couple of email thing you know if you want to. So it was really easy for me to get a hold of her to call her back and when I did call up and talk to her, I got an actual live person and her mission was actually to talk to me on the phone. It wasn't to get me off the phone. And the first time I talked to her, I talked to her for quite a while and I didn't actually make the commitment right then if I'm correct. I think I waited a little longer. So anyway the point is that if I did, it was at the end of the call. So she spent her time talking to me and I appreciated that too. They were excellent.

They do not make it easy. IF they do, in fact, have a tracking service. I have been nothing but frustrated with the whole process. The driver was very nice, and I felt comfortable. The driver was able to deliver my car to Texas and there were no complaints so I assumed everything's fine. The only problem, I guess, occurred at the time I received the notice. I received an email saying, 'We're going to pick up your car today.' I thought it was a little rushed, and I hoped they could have given me a day earlier. I didn't have any prior experience about transporting cars. I rushed to prepare the car and then I realized it wouldn't be that kind of a rush. I slowed down a little. The arrangement was very late in the day, like after my dinner time. I asked friends from our synagogue if anyone knew of a company that offered car transport services. Two people recommended Stateway Auto. I spoke to Rachel, and she was really nice. She gave me a speech that was acceptable. She didn't have to go out, bid it or anything. She got back to me and gave me a quote that was cheaper than another one that called me the same day.
We only had a few days window, and they said that they would send it a few days earlier. However, it was not a good time for us. It was impossible for us to send the car. I called Rachel and she said she'll put it back on the board. Sure enough, the fellow came exactly the day we need him to. It was great that we had his direct line. I spoke to Bill from Stateway Auto, and he seemed to be concerned not only about what I was going through, but about the vehicle as well, and making sure that it got there safely. That's the reason why I went with him.
As far as the quote they provided, there were two other companies that offered a cheaper rate. However, it was not about the fact that it was cheaper; it was about who was going to take care of my vehicle more. Bill was phenomenal, and they certainly informed me as to what was going on with my vehicle - where it was and what they were doing all the way down the line.
The only issue that I had is that I don't speak Spanish, and their driver did. We could not communicate at all. However, when my son drove me up to get the car, the car was off the carrier, and he was waiting for me. You know, the language barrier can come and go. Maybe I just got a Hispanic speaking driver, I don't know. They might have English speaking drivers too. I was very impressed with their service and would definitely tell other people to call them. I placed order on 5/23/13. They emailed about my order on 5/24/13. They picked up my car on 6/4/13. You can tell how anxious I was. Then, the truck driver called to pick up the car, never tell you the exact time to pick up. At first, he said two hours away. I waited for him. Two hours passed and finally 5 hours later, he showed up. Damn! (He said would be there at 11am, then he showed up at about 3pm to pick up my car!) About to deliver my car. My address is just under the Bay Bridge, San Francisco and IT IS EASY TO FIND. He said he could not find it. You can google it. IT IS JUST RIGHT THERE. Man, this is not my first time to have my car shipped. WHY CAN EVERYONE (other truck drivers) FIND IT, BUT YOU CAN'T FIND IT?
PLUS, the streets about my house has ENOUGH SPACE for you to go and turn around and GO UP TO THE FREEWAY! He told me, “The BEST WAY for me to be "here" to get your car is to take taxi.” ("Here" meaning, I need to take taxi to meet him to the place that he just dropped off the other cars.) That was what he said. He said he just dropped off other cars. What I felt was that he was too lazy to move his truck to my house. He just wanted people to meet him up and save his gas. Excuse me, Stateway. Are your services DOOR TO DOOR SERVICES? WHY do I have to take TAXI to get my car? Hey people, if you want to have this kind of GOOD services, please use it.

We needed a car out for a couple of months. I did a search online and found a website that said 'Like move my car' or something. Stateway Auto sent out a quote through email and it was fine; it was in line with the others. The transport took place in May. The pickup was fine, but the drop off was wrong. We just needed to have better communication. We got a call that the driver was in the area in the morning because he said that he was in the town next to ours. So we assumed that he'd be here soon. I did not get to use the online tracking tool. He didn't actually drop the car off until 10:30 later that night. I had to have someone receive the car for me.
They also need to let you know that they won't be able to get the truck down the driveway. The person receiving my car did not know that and was expecting them to pull up in her driveway. He did pull up with the car, which is fine, but then he wanted a ride back to his truck. She did not drive him back because the kids were home, and she didn't want to leave them alone. I would use them again, but I would clarify the drop off and pickup time. We need a better estimate.

I found out about Stateway Auto online. I checked about 5 different places and they weren't the lowest and weren't the highest. They were right in the middle which means fair to me. But it seems like they were the ones that were going to be able to get a drive here with the tractor.
I talked to a guy named Adam and he was very knowledgeable. I asked him a lot of questions and he got back with me on certain ones. He was really good about figuring out how to transport a tractor - the guy needs to know how to get that, who could, and which particular driver could deal with that tractor. He did it and that was a really good experience.
We went from Denver to Wichita. They picked the vehicle up on a Friday. There was a bad storm and that made it even slower. The driver called me back and I called him. I really appreciate that too because you usually don't get calls returned. It was good. It really got here quicker than I needed to. We got it a week from the following Tuesday. He had a really horrible place to have to unload it, but he did it fine. And then he couldn't drive out of the area where it was unloaded so he had to back up that thing for probably not quite half a mile but close to it. Overall, the experience was great. I didn't have any problems so that means everything was just very good.

I was moving from Texas to Florida. I'm single and I have too many vehicles. I found out about Stateway Auto online. They were in the top 15 or 20 in the country. They gave me the best rate and service, so I went ahead with them.
Everybody was really nice. They picked up when they say they would. The only deal that came up was I had to leave the car to somebody else's hands and my friend had to deal with them guys. They said they're going to be there in one day and they ended up a day late. They did stay in communication with each other as far as I understand it better. I would have liked it if they would have just said, ''Hey, I'm going to be there on a certain day,'' and they were there on that particular day.
But I do understand how things go because they're picking up cars all the time. Juggling the schedule the whole bit. No harm done. That was the only thing. They made arrangements. They more or less picked it up from my friend. They delivered it on time. There were no bumps, bangs, or anything like that.
They're a reputable company. They went ahead and delivered on time. They did everything that they were supposed to even though I prepaid. As far as I'm concerned, they are okay - considering that it was the first time I ever shipped anything like that. It wasn't any worse than going to the post office with a box. I was satisfied, and I would recommend them to anybody.

This company is unbelievable! I have called them over 50 times and always get a voicemail. If you leave a voicemail, nobody ever calls you back. Once the driver picked up my car, it was fine. My confirmation said $675 for the delivery, and I paid $175 for deposit. The driver gets to the destination, and now it's $600 that I have to pay! Only that my contract states that I owe $500. Driver can't drop off the car because the contract they have with Stateway says that I have to pay $600! Of course the driver can't get a hold of Stateway and neither can his boss and neither can I! I refuse to pay for extra when my contract says one thing with Stateway, but Stateway has a contract with the driver saying I owe more. So now the driver is waiting for SOMEONE to call him to straighten this out before he can drop off the car!

Driver was extremely pleasant and delivered our truck exactly where it needed to be a DAY early. I would highly recommend this company. They stay true to their words and service!!!

I hired Stateway to ship my Audi from Arlington Heights, IL to my home in Miami, FL. I have shipped my car twice before with two different companies and they were both bad experiences. I called Stateway when a relative referred them. I spoke with Rachel who gave me a fair price. They picked up my car in four days and had it in Miami three days later. Rachel was always there to answer my questions as I was nervous about shipping again. I will definitely use Stateway for my return trip back and I do recommend them above all of the other transport companies. Thank you, Rachel and Stateway.

Stateway Auto Transport is simply amazing! From start to finish, my experience was an A+. They were very knowledgeable and explained each and every detail I needed to understand about transporting my elderly parents’ car cross-country. The price was extremely competitive. I went with them because of the insurance they were able to provide from the start. All in all, I would not only use them again, but will recommend to everyone I know. Thanks guys.

Couldn't be happier with Stateway. I researched around 30 different companies before I settled on this one, and am glad I did. The quote they gave me wasn't the cheapest, but fair to be sure. I learned through my research that the broker (Stateway) posts the car listing on a board for truckers to decide which vehicles they will accept based on their trip criteria. So the lowest quotes probably wouldn't have been able to pick my car up on time, etc. The trucking company was also great! Gana stayed in touch with me and picked up and delivered our car on time. I would use Stateway again in a second!

I bought a car and had it shipped from Florida to North Carolina. I found Stateway Auto Transport on the internet and after comparison shopping found the price they quoted was good. From the initial contact to delivery of the car, it took about 7 to 10 days. I reckon it was the best service one could possibly have. They brought the car right here and put it in my backyard. The driver was very helpful and it was an extremely wonderful experience. I'd rate them a 6 really.

My son needed to transport his vehicle from Gilbert, AZ to Florida in late February or early March. He's in the service, so he has limited time and days off. The thought of me driving it there would have taken too long, and it would have been pretty hard on me so the shipping worked out for him. I looked online and found out about Stateway Auto. I got several price quotes and then people called me. I talked to maybe 2 or 3 people. They came on time and then got to Florida even earlier than expected. Well, the experience was good, efficient, and it was affordable so we're happy.

We were moving, and I needed my cars transported over to Baton Rouge, LA sometime last February. I found Stateway Auto on the internet and decided to have them do the job because they were able to give me a good quote. I gave them the date that I needed the cars to be picked up, and they were there and picked them up in my driveway. I didn't bother tracking the cars on their online tool since I was being transported myself. When they arrived in Louisiana, they unloaded the cars about two blocks away, which was convenient, since we couldn't unload too close to the house. It was a good experience.

I previously made a complaint because they never called or scheduled my car for transport as they promised. I contacted someone else and was given a much higher quote but also with the explanation that Amarillo is an out of the way place so there would be more gas involved. The company states that they are trying to resolve this situation of a low quote that cannot be fulfilled. They are refunding my money and I did receive a very nice apology. Of course, my car still has not been transported as I am still waiting for a driver.

I contacted Stateway Auto in April, got a confirmation and told them that I needed the car picked up the week of May 6th and they agreed and promised to do so. It is May 11th. We are leaving on the 15th and we still have not received any information. Every time we call, they state a driver had not been assigned yet but not to worry. We are going to find another transport company and have our credit card company dispute the charge. Don't use; they're very bad!

I needed my car shipped for college so I searched for auto transport companies on the internet. Stateway Auto's prices were competitive and reasonable, and they had the best way of getting the car down to where I was, which were the things I was looking for, so I went with them. The transport driver was friendly, professional and timely. Overall, I'm happy with the service they have provided, except for one minor thing. The vehicle that carried my car was apparently also carrying another vehicle, which was on top of mine, that had an oil leak. The oil leaked down on my car. Obviously, that's not the fault of anyone involved; it was just something unfortunate.

The whole problem started 3 weeks ago with Adam. Wanted to ship my car from Dallas to Cleveland, Ohio. I had a set window to accept the delivery due to work. I was told that they would have it there, no problem. They quoted me $595 for the shipment. After waiting a week and a half, I got no word as to if the trucker had been assigned. Call after call after call was met with an answering machine. I would start calling at 9AM and called every hour. At 6PM I would finally receive a call back from a different customer service rep each time. They told me they would expedite with an addition of $50 a day to get a drive to bite.
Well after finally getting a driver assigned 4 days before I needed the car delivered, the paperwork showed that the car was operable, which it was not and was told to Adam 2 weeks before. Tried all day to call them to explain the screw up. Finally talked to Kim at 6PM and she said they would have to call the driver to see if he had a winch. They did not call at all. I ended up getting a hold of the driver on Monday. He said he was brokered by Stateway and would not be able to get it to me until 3 days after the day I needed it by. Also, he did not have a winch and nobody from Stateway had called him.
Took me all day again on Monday to get a hold of someone at Stateway. Then **, a manager, had the gall to ask me for more money to make my next avail week. Did not give them any more money. I waited another week and still no word. Finally, today I told them I wanted a full refund as I booked another company. They had the nerve to try to tell me I could not do that because it was not their fault, but the driver's fault. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from these clowns!

When the driver finally called to make arrangements, the car was picked up when they said it was going to be picked up.
A day before it was delivered, they called us again. In just a matter of three days, the car was in Michigan. It was delivered to my dad's, and he said the person was very nice and accommodating. There were no problems. The car arrived safe and sound and timely as well. The driver and the person that set it up did very well. I'm completely satisfied with everything.

The person who called me was very well-informed and very interested. I got all of these emails from other companies but none of them called me personally. And the price that Stateway quoted was fine.
The entire process was quite a bit longer than we anticipated because of my travel schedule, so it was almost a month. The only concern is that there is some damage to the car. My sister received the car and she didn't realize that this chip just about the size of three quarters was not there when I gave them the car. I never followed up on it because I considered it our fault because she didn't know. On the other hand, the driver was excellent, a delightful person to work with, and I would use them again.

I had purchased a vehicle online. And to be honest, my understanding from the ad that I saw was that Stateway owned all the rigs. I guess I misunderstood that. So I felt it was safer to have somebody that owns their own trucks versus somebody who was a broker. But Stateway didn't own the truck that brought it. It was a private person that they subcontract with anyway so they were acting as a broker at that point, but I had no problems to complain. It's just wasn't what I thought it should be, but it was fine. The people I had interactions with were fine, and the carrier kept in touch with me on the time he would deliver.
Well, I got ripped off on the car but Stateway was fine. I would recommend them.

I actually just searched online and then followed it up with the check on their ratings. I needed to transport my vehicle since I was relocated to Washington. I got the quote later and it was a fair price. It wasn't the lowest price I was given but again I compared that to the overall ratings from the other companies as well.
The interactions I had with the team were via email and then some calls. It was very smooth. It was pretty much explained to me how the process would work and the availability etc. Just got it set up and then they would notify when it's going to happen. I was told in advance that they would notify me when they would come in and pick up the product. They gave me a window and told me they would notify me again and that essentially how it worked out.
The transport took place in March of this year. They called us the day before delivery and said it's going to be on this day and they're going to call you like an hour before to set up a specific time, and we were able to talk to the delivery man. Again, it was very smooth. It was then I would say an hour and a half when he finally called us and actually delivered. I would say that it was timely, cost effective and the expectations were set and delivered.

We purchased the truck off eBay sometime in March and I needed to get it transported from Texas to Florida. I went to a website and I clicked on a button and I requested a quote and they responded to me. I was very happy with the price quote. They came in with the lowest rates.
The transport organizer called me and told me what he could do for me and gave me all the rules that are important to know and it takes about one or two days for them to schedule trucks. Everything went smoothly. The process took maybe like a day or so for him to give me the person who is going to bring it down. Then the next two days, they contacted me stating that they were there to pick up the truck and they needed some information. Then the delivery driver called a day before to let me know that he was en route because I think he was originally scheduled to be here on Sunday and I think he said he was able to get it there on Saturday, if it would be okay, and I told him yes. It was perfect. No problems there.
Everything went smooth. I've read some negative comments on some of the other transport companies. I was skeptical at first but I had a great experience and I'm going to use Stateway Auto again. Great vendor. Great transport company.

There were some problems with our vehicle and now that we were driving a short distance, it wouldn't make it on the highway so it needed to be transported a long distance. This happened in February. It was interesting to note that they seemed to be fairly well-organized. It's a very smooth transaction. We really just talked about dates, talked about the car, talked about expectations and everything went as planned. Whole conversations were two three minutes. It was just 'Where are you going? What are you picking up? What's the car? How the car should be when they picked it up? How much gas in it?'... that sort of stuff. They coordinated where to pick up and the keys, signed a piece of paper and there you go.

And the day I got my vehicle off, I'd left some stuff in my car and the driver asked me for an extra $100 for the extra weight which I gave to him - I have no issue with that. My vehicle broke down while I was on vacation. There was just so many problems with it. Then my vacation was over, so I just needed the vehicle back. I couldn't put any more money if I needed a repair where I was. So I had to ship back rather than leave without my vehicle. The pickup point was Detroit, Michigan to Cohoes, NY. I was trying to find quotes online. I put my information and then the west side gave it out to 15-20 different places that all bombarded me with phone calls.
I was happy with the price quote from Stateway Auto. It was the lowest quote out of every at least 20 different companies that called me. And the big thing for me was I wanted to make sure that the price wasn't gonna change 'cause a lot of the competitors were all trying to convince me that their price was a little bit more money, but they were guaranteeing me that it was gonna be on time and the price wasn't gonna change. Stateway Auto gave me a rough estimate of what I was willing to wait for to get the vehicle picked up, and that the price wasn't gonna change. I decided to go with them over the competition.
When I coordinate with the transport organizer, it was mainly through email. And then the person that emailed me was out of office so I talked to somebody else. They were very good. We didn't talk long. We just finalized the stuff and they sent me over the emails. That was perfect. They said the process could be within the week. And the driver actually picked it up than the day after I had left, so it was the next day. They said it was gonna take 3 days once the driver picked it up. And the driver was actually there later. He picked it up early the one morning I was there later the afternoon or the next day. The driver was very good and a very nice guy.
On the day of delivery, he called me to let me know he was in the area. He told me not to worry, that he'd rush it whenever I was available, which was good. I think he went and grabbed a bite to eat to make sure I was home. And then I was home so he came over and he was just really nice. He got me my vehicle very quickly.
I had a horrific time with my vehicle on vacation and I didn't know what to do with it... I was trying a bunch of different things. So the fact that it was smooth, it worked out, and it was the best price to deal with, I definitely give it a 5. I'd recommend Stateway Auto. I would say it was a great experience. If I ever found myself in the same situation, I'd use the company again.

Basically it was all done on the first call. I obviously contacted them a couple of weeks in advance. They said, ''Hey, when do you want the vehicle picked up?'' I gave them the date. On the said date, the driver called me to advise me he was about 30 minutes now. We established a good meeting point. And then he came and dropped off the car. The delivery was 10 days. It went off as scheduled. It was pretty straightforward... Smooth and reliable.

Then I went into the Auto Review (whatever the auto transportation review) and then that's how I found them. Their price is competitive. And I decided to go with them because I like the way that they responded. And they stick with their price. And then they're very kind, very efficient and very professional.
When I called, it's always an answering machine. I couldn't get hold of anybody directly. But they always call back right away. And the only confusion I had was, when I call, the message says Rachel, but when somebody calls me back, it's a different person. But they're very helpful. I asked a few questions, and then they answered me. And the delivery driver was kind and very professional. The whole process took about a week. Everything is perfect.
