I was working with Sheila who was phenomenal in helping me with my 88 year old Mom. She was helping me with find so many different places I needed for options I was looking into for my Mom for living and for options for staying in her home. She also told me about the VA Survivors Benefit which if it ever comes through will be a life saver for my mom. But... out of the blue, A Place For Mom transferred my file and I never heard from Sheila again and I still to this day have never heard from her again and no one will tell me why and no one has called to explain anything to me or call and follow up and see how they can help me and my mother. I just keep getting random texts. This is nothing like the wonderful personal help I got from Sheila, so for that I cannot recommend this service.

We spoke with a representative of A Place for Mom, Kenya **, and she set us up with two appointments of local senior living places nearest where we wanted to look. We had also scheduled a few additional locations to look at that were not under this system. After taking all the tours, we decided to choose the Oaks at Ellijay recommended by A Place for Mom. It’s a lovely clean, updated facility with lots of activities for residents, transportation shuttle, hot daily meals, doctors making monthly visits, and knowledgeable staff. We are confident our loved ones will get the best care available there.

Our consultant was very thorough and detailed. Followed up with texts and asked how we were doing. She was very patient, helpful and so thoughtful to my family. She even texted over the holiday break to check in. She was a listening ear when I needed to speak to someone about some details that we needed support for my mom. We appreciated her very much! I would recommend this service. Jennifer ** was top notch and I'm grateful for her kindness.

When I reached out to "A Place For Mom" I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew that I needed help. Stephanie was assigned to me and stayed with me through the entire process. She was patient, kind, knowledgeable, available and diligent. She helped get me in touch with assisted living facilities, gave advice on navigating the health care system, and never once made me feel as if my questions were stupid, or unnecessary. We ultimately found an assisted living facility that worked for our needs, and I am 100% certain we could not have done so on our own. I 100% recommend "A Place For Mom" for anyone who needs support.

I did not know I was getting them when I called but they have been a valuable resource for my Dad's situation. The follow up was excellent. The care, compassion and concern shown was not what I expected in today's world. Everyone I came in contact with really knew their stuff. The placement they suggested is working out. Brought great relief to a troubling situation.

A Place for Mom was like a warm hug when I needed it the most. The service provided was exactly what I needed to decrease my load. When you are trying to facilitate placement for one of the most important people in your life “A Place for Mom” lifted the burden in locating placement, scheduling tours, and putting forth the effort of initial contact.

LaRhonda helped us through every step of looking for independent living places, set up appts., followed up with likes and dislikes, stayed in touch consistently to help find that perfect place for us. I just want to thank her and A Place For Mom for offering this valuable service. Great job!

I called Denise at APFM by accident, really, but I'm glad! She hooked me up right away with 3 assisted living places to check out for my mom. We went with one and moved her in early this week. I would recommend APFM--- and have been! They were great.

Joy was very warm and empathetic when we called. She asked us all about our mom and then sent our info to a few assisted living places she thought may work. She follows through with how your meetings went. I would recommend having only 3 or 4 on your list. If those don’t pan out they can always send more…. Otherwise you can be overwhelmed w all the Emails and calls. We found a place we really liked after looking at 3 places. It’s not an easy process so hang in there!

They start providing help the minute you ask and the feedback from facilities is almost immediate. They constantly follow up on how your search is going and ask what else they can do to help. If you need more options they find them for you. How can you ask for more? Especially when it’s free?

This company is amazing!!! You found the perfect place for my brother! The information you provided was so valuable and your follow ups were great! I never once felt pressured, just genuinely supported during this difficult time. "Thank you" will never be enough for all you have done for me and my brother. You found him a safe, loving facility that is so accommodating to his needs. The Lodge at Natchez Trace has been so wonderful to him. I can not thank you enough. God bless you and all of your staff, the Nashville VA hospital staff, and all the staff at the Lodge. Your company and resources are so valued and desperately needed for others. Our family has used A Place for Mom for both parents, most recently, our mother. When I made the initial call, we just wanted to begin searching for options. Quickly, our mother’s needs changed and we decided to move forward. We called the first place on the list and they were incredible. We visited one other location and it confirmed that our first location was a great fit. We received timely follow up from APFM and felt very supported.

I first looked at the website & answered a few questions. Within less than half an hour I had a phone call from A Place for Mom. Very nice, very friendly. I answered a lot of other questions about my dad & before I knew it, we had four appointments set up with contacts at 4 different locations! They stayed in contact with me after each visit, checking to make sure all went well. They answered many questions, pointed out things I may not have thought of. They are a wonderful resource if you are looking for a different situation for an aging parent or independent living for yourself. I highly recommend.

Phil was amazing and led me to Artis in Princeton where my husband will reside starting Monday. He set up the appointment and made the whole process seamless. I would give him *****.This all happened on a Sunday. Follow up by A Place for Mom by another consultant was negligible and very disappointing. The need to return (multiple) phone calls is very important and this consultant did not help me when I needed help.

I needed a person to care for a relative who is paralyzed from the waist down. The location is like a medical services dead zone. Trying to get someone was a nightmare. A Place For Mom suggested an out of state agency since there are no agency in my area of my state could supply a person to help. Very thankful for the advice!

My consultant was so professional and helpful! Her follow-up was greatly appreciated. We placed our loved one in a community they featured! She knew the area and the properties so well. There was no pressure to commit to any particular property. I know she had our best interests in mind. We are out of state, so I needed her expertise. I so recommend A Place for Mom!

It probably would have taken me twice as long to find a place for my parents where they could both be well taken care of. My parents are both 80, but have completely different needs. A Place for Mom was able to focus on what I needed and recommend places based off that information.

The Villa of Loomis senior care facility staff have taken a great care of my husband. He has gone from hospice care to palliative care and is enjoying the friendly care he is given. I highly recommend it.

April ** was exceptional at her job for the very low budget she had to work with. She managed to find a place for my mom and she has been there since Monday December 9 and is getting the best care she could ask for. The staff and owner are very friendly. One evening I was scrolling the internet, looking for information on senior living options in Klamath Falls OR. I came upon Joy and was so impressed with her and the help she gave me. I was looking for senior living options. Joy was kind, supportive and so helpful. My Brother is moving into Crystal Terrace Independent Living next week!!

A Place For Mom provided our family with extremely helpful assistance connecting us to a lovely senior facility with the appropriate care level for our mother. The coordinator listened well, asked numerous relevant questions, promptly answered our many queries, followed up with us after tours, and guided us to several potential options within various price ranges. During what has been an unexpected, significant decline in my mom’s functioning (which we hope is temporary), this service gave us hope that there was a path toward a positive caregiving situation.

A place for mom contacted me almost immediately after filling out my request. They were able to connect me with facilities that would meet the needs of my parents. The facilities were all very professional and I was able to pick one that made me feel comfortable. I would recommend A place for mom to anyone looking for assistance.

A Place for Mom was super helpful in finding a place for my dad (the name is misleading :) ). I told them what my father's needs were for senior living and they provided options to meet those needs. They removed the burden of hours of research in an area where I had zero experience. I found them to be extremely helpful in getting my dad settled.

In a trying time such as this, Ms ** made it so easy for us, from referrals, to follow up- we have been supported and then some. Ms ** had places following up with me, she listened to what I was asking for and delivered! We placed our father at an ALF and Ms ** could not have been kinder to us.

From the individual service to the helpful emails these folks have been instrumental in making my father's transition to his first facility as stress-free as possible. This is a hard time for his extended family but it has been very helpful to have the guidance of experienced professionals. I would high recommend their services to anyone facing new care placement

Our entire experience with A Place for Mom was simply amazing! Dawn was truly wonderful in that she was so caring, kind, thorough and knowledgeable. She made the process so easy. Several people contacted us and they, too, were great, but we decided on Sunrise Senior in Webster Groves. Again, I cannot tell you how wonderful Dawn has been. She followed up with us and made everything so comfortable. She is thoughtful and genuine.

A Place for Mom was helpful from the first phone call. Too early to tell if their suggestion is the right fit for my husband because he just moved in today. It certainly seems right. Least favorite thing: too many follow up texts, etc., before we were ready to commit. Most favorite thing: Senior Living Advisor Laurette **, unfailingly kind, sensitive, and caring.

A Place for Mom provided us with helpful referral information to 5 or 6 senior, independent living facilities in Bellingham, Washington. They maintained regular contact with us over a 10 month process of narrowing our search down to 2 facilities and finally making the decision to commit to Solstice Senior Living in the Fairhaven area of Bellingham. We appreciated their ongoing support during this period of time.

I received information for a location to take my dad in a timely manner. The place recommended was close to home and the people there were warm and inviting. I ultimately placed my dad here and appreciated the follow up. Tiffany ** was helpful and seemed empathic to the needs for my dad. I would recommend this service. The only suggestion I would make is help in obtaining the pricing or that information should be available ahead of time prior to visiting. Also if they could help with obtaining Veteran Benefits that would be a positive.

Your service was greatly appreciated. References were exactly the places I needed to visit and make a selection. I selected Windsor of Cape Coral - great facility with kind, caring personnel. A Place for Mom was a blessing for me in the short time frame that I had to find a memory care home.

I called A Place for Mom and was immediately offered help to find a list of possible homes for my mom, who was moving to IL from MN. They provided 7 properties for us to look at, many of which I was not already familiar with so their list was very helpful. We found a great place for mom from that list and she’s been a happy resident there for the past 12 years!!

The hospital my father was recovering at was seeking a discharge faster than I had anticipated. I reached out to A Place for Mom who kindly spoke to me and pointed me in a direction to seek aid. They gave me contacts for home health aides and assisted living. Overall, very helpful. They also follow-up to ensure satisfaction. I would recommend them albeit with the caveat below.

The person I spoke to initially asked me questions and my answers helped her to refine the search for an assisted living place. I was glad that only 3 places were on the list of what I’d described we needed. Really the search was pretty quick and within a week my sister and I had looked at all three places and decided which was the best fit. What a fantastic service for those looking for a place for their loved one.

A Place for Mom was very helpful to me. I didn't quite know where to start and what the process was. Nancy gave me a list of options in my area and answered my questions about how to go about scheduling a tour and what to look for, what questions to ask. She was also helpful to me regarding dealing with my mom who didn't really want to move, at least not at first.

The help we received from A Place for Mom was great. The task is daunting and with the help we got, we were able to find a really great solution for our family member who needed memory care. The team supplied multiple resources for different areas in the county we were interested in. They tell you the service is free but if you do place your loved one the care facility charges a $3500 fee that they pay as commission to A Place for Mom. I could have googled the information I received. Deceptive when they advertise the service is free.

If you’re reading this then you’re at that decision time for yourself or a loved one. There are so many choices and after having to try on my own it takes too much time to do it yourself. A Place for Mom was so helpful with understanding my needs for my mom and all the locations that were provided were spot on. They are there to help and answer any questions and are very responsive.

My wife had worked with Christina this past July when she was looking for an assisted living facility for her parents. At the time we didn't expect that I would reach out to her that same month to try to find an assisted living facility for my parents. My father had just been diagnosed with stage IV metastatic lung cancer, and I started to work with Christina while he was undergoing radiation treatments. Things changed rapidly over the course of four weeks, and Christina adapted to my shifting needs. She went out of her way to make sure that communities she referred to me only communicated to me via email as we were all going through very difficult times. She is extremely knowledgeable about what each facility could support and worked to find ones that would suit my parents' needs.

When we started looking into assisted living, it was terrifying and overwhelming -- there are so many facilties and so much information out there, but how do you know what to trust? Our advisor Alycia very quickly identified our needs and matched us to a manageable number of reputable facilities to explore. She also provided very helpful details not routinely available on websites. In very short order we had settled on a great facility that we all feel comfortable with. We also received frequent emails containing very helpful, easy to understand articles on various types of assistance, what to expect, how to pay for it, etc. I honestly don't know how we would have found our way through all of this without a Place for Mom. I did not fully utilize the service but found the ideas, information, emails, and caring people to be so wonderful while facing a hard family situation. I am grateful a place like this is available and they definitely helped get me started in the right direction. I had communities reach out to me which made the process easier and I toured some facilities with ease having a good idea of what it was I was I was looking for. I was able to secure a spot for my parents with a recommended community and I so far I couldn't be happier with the results.

Angelique provided many issues to consider when evaluating ALF facilities versus in-home care. You need to be aware of the specific services offered and which are considered extras. We were scheduled to check out multiple locations and each provided unique experiences. Her guidance was extremely useful. Although pricing was a serious consideration, we finally chose the most expensive.

Lisa and Natalie are superstars! Not only did they find us options (within our budget), they helped us to schedule the visits and clarified any questions we had. My mother-in-law found the perfect place and is excited to move in to her new place! I am very grateful for their help and support.

I have used A Place for Mom a couple times and Dana was amazing. She provided me with options, set up appointments and checked on me regularly all the way up until my mom was in her new place. I would and have recommend anyone looking for help finding a place for the loved ones. They take into consideration your budget and needs.

During a very emotional time, Erica ** was able to give me the best information to suit my husband's needs. I could not have asked for anyone one better to assist me. Due to emotional and situational trauma because of hurricanes Helene and Milton, my husband has blacked out the trauma and needs a great deal of assistance with daily care. I am a Kindergarten teacher and needed assistance finding a place he was comfortable to be when I am away. He is making small gains on his long path to recovery. She was caring, understanding and unbelievably patient and helpful.

Alycia ** was our Care advisor who was excellent. We were super desperate to find a place due to the recent hurricane for my parents. Alycia provided places that could accommodate immediately. Then she helped us again for a more permanent better fit. Great service!! I would recommend this service!

Contact APFM for assistance. Natalie ** set up 4 app for me and had to change them all 2x because of hurricanes. Never blinked an eye. Had to move her in 5 days. Was by my side all day. And Jeremy from Elderlife was phenomenal. Without them I would be in a nut house.

After several meetings and tours The Remfry's have found a forever home for Mom at the Harmony at Tucker Station community in Jeffersontown, KY.. The staff is very caring and the other members of the community are all so very nice. Mom has jumped right in with both feet meeting people and becoming active in social events and activities. My brother and I were very concerned about just how receptive mom would be to a Community such as Harmony, but she now has stated she wishes they would have done this prior to the passing of my dad so he too could enjoy all of the activities!

The social work staff at a suburban Detroit hospital recommended that we contact "A Place for Mom" for assistance in locating a senior living community for my brother. Jill ** was our advisor with "A Place for Mom" and was extremely helpful. She provided the contact info for seven senior communities, and we eventually placed my brother at Ashford Court in Westland, MI, which was one of her recommended senior living communities. Her recommendations helped us expedite his placement.

We had no idea where to start. So glad that we reached out. We received a lot of information and received recommendations based on our personal preferences. They set up tours for us and were available any time we had questions, including recommendations for financial assistance if needed. They supported us until our loved one was placed in an excellent Memory Care.

A Place for Mom is ONE BIG SCAM. Adds little to no added value to families and is directly responsible for the increasing costs of senior facilities year after year. They get paid several thousand dollars for referring to senior facilities they have almost entirely never even been to (imagine that). And by ‘referring’ what is meant is having one call (if that) with someone that submits their contact info online (sometimes unknowingly) and then blasting it out to every senior facility in and around town.

Angie ** went above and beyond to help me and my siblings find an assisted living facility within her financial means and within a specific area within 2 days. She texted, emailed and called to check in with us to see if her recommendations met our needs and she set up tours for us within a few hours. She also got the evaluation at the place we chose expedited. We couldn't have done it without her assistance. Thank you so much!

Meredith ** was a tremendous help finding our new home. She was so kind. Guiding us along the way. She found what I hope to be the perfect place for us. She followed up every few weeks to see how we were progressing. So a big shout out to Meredith! Thank you so much.

This service was very helpful, particularly by pairing me with the same representative who followed my course throughout. She was very friendly and personable. The suggested locations were invaluable (and of high quality) in directing our search and we chose one that was recommended. The service also updated their recommendations when we switched from skilled nursing, to memory care and then finally to assisted living facilities.

A Place for Mom is an invaluable service. This is my second time finding an assisted living facility for a family member with their assistance. In addition to scheduling appointments and providing background materials about each of their recommended facilities, my counselor was an invaluable source of information for me as well.

After my mother in law went to a physical therapy facility & insurance wouldn’t let her stay long nor can she go back to her home, I filled out a form with a few questions about my mother in law, they called that night to help. We found a great place near our home in a few days after touring 2 places from a recommended list. Renee’ was great & very helpful, she kept in touch while we were looking.

I called A Place For Mom about 18 months to two years ago to inquire on behalf of my brother in law for my sister who has dementia. I was bombarded with calls within minutes from different facilities wanting to schedule tours. At that point we were not ready to go on tours. Several weeks later my brother in law said he was no longer interested in obtaining information or touring any facility.

Everyone was very caring and helpful. Very family oriented. Caregivers were tremendous and a BIG help to my husband. They really loved him. Some worked harder than others and you can tell which ones had the proper training. Facility was super clean and had plenty availability, so most residents received extra attention.

The response and follow up from Paul was great and timely. The process was easy to work through and highly efficient. I placed my dad in under a week in a great facility. The staff at the facility are excellent. A Place for Mom made it possible, doing some much of the research and offering a list plus an easy means to schedule tours. And Paul follows up via phone, text and email,.

It was so helpful to give A Place for Mom my needs, and they told the people in my area what I was looking for. Then the places with spaces contacted me to help me learn about them. Then I could schedule a tour of the places that met my needs. I am very grateful for grit help.

I found Drew called way too often. I found the retirement home myself and the administrator told me you are now expecting a payment for finding the facility when A Place for Mom did nothing to place my Mum. I don't believe you should be wanting some sort of finder's fee.

We’re pretty self sufficient but we received a lot of support getting our search to relocate for our retirement. Wendy ** was a wonderful resource, she kept her finger on the pulse of the situation. I was having a serious problem finding facilities that would accept a man with mental illness. Yvette was an absolute blessing on helping me find Brookdale and getting him approved for admittance. He will be moving in on Oct 9 on Thursday. We are in the process of downsizing his clothes and deciding what he is going to take with him. Also, soon I will organize an estate sale. Cannot say enough about Yvette. Thank you!

Kristen ** was our advisor. She originally helped us locate a facility for respite care, which we had used twice. Now we were looking for a facility for permanent assisted living. Have had nothing but great help. Gave a good number of places to see and evaluate. They called back after a few week to see if we needed more help. I let them know that there were problems with several places we saw and was told they would follow up to see what the problems were with those places. We did select a place and are very happy with our selection. Would use them again if needed.

It has been such a blessing to deal with A Place for Mom. They were so helpful in finding me suitable places that I might look into within my budget, I chose one of the facilities they had suggested and am in the process of moving in. We were searching for an independent living facility for my mother-in-law who was living independently in Texas, but had recently received a cancer diagnosis. While she is currently independent, we wanted a place that she could transition to assisted living if needed. A Place for Mom helped us narrow down the choices based on facilities that were close to us that included everything we were wanting. They took ALL the leg work out of the process and even helped up schedule the tours of the facilities and provided contact information! They continued to follow-up through the process to find out how everything was going. It was a free service that took all the guess work out of an already stressful situation! We were able to find the perfect place for her that we know she will enjoy!

I was forced to evacuate my parents from Florida due to Hurricane Helene. Their home flooded with about a foot of water. Heather was great to work with! Very responsive, outstanding information, and sincerely empathetic on the phone. She was an invaluable resource for navigating a confusing and stressful process.

Our mom didn’t end up qualifying for this service, but in our time of distress and searching, I was awfully disappointed with the phone interaction. I was transferred three times; when I got to Mary, my assistant, and she realized our mom wouldn’t be a suitable match, she offered a list of resources via email, which she never sent, and abruptly hung up on me. It felt like they were lacking in compassion during our time of need and I’m grateful we didn’t end up needing them.

I have been looking online for low-cost housing for my mother. I filled out a document online for A Place for Mom hoping they had bigger network than Google. Within five minutes, I received a call from A Place for Mom. That would not have been a problem except I could not answer it as I had started on something else. They called 4 more times in the next 30 min. 3 of which were back to back. Redial. I thought that was weird but made a note to return the call later when I had finished my other phone calls. That evening I was sitting down for dinner, they called again. I remembered I hadn't called them when I meant to, but quieted the call to finish dinner. They immediately called twice more. Redial. Anyone can do what they do with the help of any search engine. I made the mistake of giving them my phone number. In the next five days, I received at least 30 phone calls and voice messages. I blocked the number but the calls kept coming. I finally called them back and told them to stop calling me. The customer service rep apologized for all the calls and informed that their system used "automatic dialing". I asked her how automatic dialing could leave me voice messages from individuals. She told me that she could connect me with a sales rep and that would be my primary contact (another marketing ploy). I had already informed her that I wasn't interested in their services. I told her that the next call would be from my lawyer. She apologized again and said she would take me off the list. Hopefully I'm done with this people.

The agents were very attentive and understood our criteria and situation perfectly. Especially when it came to my brother, who had flown in from out of town to help look for a place and had to return home on a certain day. I found you to be very helpful. However, our first choice was with American House. They took my mother’s money, after sending their Director of Nursing to our home and evaluating her. When we showed up they refused her based on her medical issues, lying to us saying it violated State law for her to be there. Also, refusing to refund all money after their breach of contract. We will have to sue them, register complaints with the BBB and State licensing board. Very deceptive organization bordering on criminal. My mother is at Deanne Hill and it is wonderful. Please don’t refer anyone to American House again.
