Needless to say having Bay Alarm. Gave us peace of mind. Whenever, and quite often, we hit the alarm for Mom the Operator answered immediately. EMS & the NYCFire DEPT came many times. Their quick assessment saved her life! We were blessed!!!

The Customer Service staff has been pleasant and helpful getting things set up correctly. The alarm personnel have been responsive when testing the unit to make sure it is working properly. I hope to never have an emergency, but feel like this would help.

Excellent response time and knowledgeable customer service team. Very helpful with battery replacement as well as when assisting with closing this account. This system was required while I worked as a single entity in a remote location for my company, but I am retiring now.

I placed this order and paid an extra $30 for expedited shipping. It arrived at my parents home in Houston, TX on 2/20 and I arrived a day later and hooked up the unit. During the testing of the unit it only said "Calling for help" and then it did nothing. I called customer service and had to leave a message. No one ever returned my call.
I have now returned to NY and had my boyfriend call for assistance today. The automated system wasn't working, then the first rep couldn't hear him at all and he had to call a second time. Finally, someone named Vanessa said she would have someone call my parent's house and speak to my mother. We requested someone who speaks Vietnamese call her, if possible, as I was told when I signed up for service you have staff who speaks many languages. Soon after Vanessa called and said they have no one that speaks Vietnamese.
My boyfriend said that's fine because my mother can speak English too. He said to please call her (Boi **) and test the unit and he asked someone to call me (Thao **) afterward, to let me know if the issue is resolved or if we have to return the unit. Vanessa said she would do so. I have now spoken with my mother several times throughout the day and no one has called the house, nor called me. I was billed $53 for this service and $30 for expedited shipping ten days ago and we do not have operational service! My father is very ill and very weak. Both of my parents are elderly. I need the service for them and feel I should be credited for at least 1 week where this service has not been working! I want this issue resolved or this unit will be sent back, service will be cancelled and I will expect a complete refund.

We both received phone calls two nights in a row on our cell phones that we had a low battery problem with our alarm system. We checked the console and it seemed to be fine. I called in today and talked to a technician and she found the problem immediately. Said the problem was a low battery in my necklace and she would exchange it for a new one. She solved the problem quickly and efficiently! Thank you Bay Medical for having such knowledgeable staff to solve your customers problems!

I responded to a form letter sent to my Mom, Donna **, about a monitoring issue. I did receive an email prior to the letter but it looked suspicious because it said that Bay Alarm was unable to get in touch with our “phone tree”. If that had not been in the email I wouldn’t have been so suspicious. My Mom and I are retired and home constantly and we are the first two on the list.

Called Bay Medical for some phone numbers changes to my mother's account. The agent on the phone was courteous and professional. I was able to make a 3 phone number changes and the agent also recommended to me a few very important tips about how listing too many people will affect the last call to 911. BAY ALARM offered my 89 year old mom a decent bargain for a medical alert system; which on one occasion saved her life; due to the speed and efficiency of their staff. The equipment was easy to connect, and worked well, even with my mom's poor hearing.

I have not needed to use Bay Medical Alarm yet but feel comfortable that they are available. Once while my daughter was setting the system up, she had to disconnect the electricity briefly and we were surprised that someone responded so quickly.

I found wearing the GPS monitoring and fall detection system bulky to wear clipped to my waist (especially with a beltless dress). Also, if I were falling, I perceived the button for the alarm less accessible than a lanyard type. So, I am shopping for a more aesthetically and accessibly pleasing system. Bay Alarm Medical was professional in handling my cancellation request. They informed me that I could keep the equipment, and request future monitoring if I desired.

When my dad activated his alarm this morning 1/31/19, the company did not call me on my home phone, they called an incorrect number which had been disconnected. I was checking with the company to be sure all contact numbers were accurate. Shontay did an excellent job confirming my father's contact numbers and was reassuring and understanding. Everything was resolved to my satisfaction.

I experienced initial difficulty with the landline unit after support tech determined that it was not compatible with your unit. An upgraded to a cell unit was required with additional cost. I agreed and it was received without the safety button. This concerned me, so another call to you. Shauntee answered all my queries and helped me with installation. I accidentally tripped over the power cord to the base unit. I had forgotton that wall outlet had the top plug was a switched plug commonly used for bedroom lamps. It took a couple tries when the agent suggested using the lower plug. It was a standard plug in and of course worked. Agent was friendly and helpful. It just took a while to discover the wall plug issue.

Shauntee was professional and helpful on the phone in helping me cancel my father's subscription. She was prompt and courteous in resolving the matter. I will consider using the company again when he is ready. At the time he is not happy wearing the product and she suggested another type. We will consider at a later date.

I received calls about a detection of a low battery. I assumed it was due to a recent power outage in my area. Cristal walked me through the testing of my 2 devices which determined that the low battery alert was caused by one of the devices. She arranged for a replacement to be sent. She was helpful, courteous and professional.

Just a quick note to say "thank-you". I received exactly what I ordered, no hidden fees or charges. My mother's phone line went down for a couple of weeks and these folks were relentless on ensuring there was no problem on their end. I have the base unit, pendant, and fall alert starting this week and had submitted my contact list of 4 names with their phone numbers 3 days ago. I called today to add myself (and my mobile phone) to the top of the list as first contact. If I fell and could not get to the base unit to voice a report, I could still say I was down but OK and assist specifying what help I needed. I also asked that the monitoring site call me so I could see the caller ID and forward it to my contacts so "** from Ogden,UT" would not be ignored as a robocall.

As standard protocol, if our monitoring center receives an emergency alert from a user, they will first try to go over the base unit speaker, if they do not hear anything, they will try to contact the user directly by phone, if they do not get in contact with the user they will then go down the given emergency list. I received the kit but the printed instructions were not very clear on how to set it up to work. I called customer services on a Sunday and got a very helpful woman to walk me through the procedure. She was very patient and attentive. I am now set to go, in case I need the services. My complaint is with UPS. They picked up the package from you on 12/26/18 but it was not delivered to me until 1/5/19. It was lost in UPS land. FedEx is more reliable.

I received incredibly poor customer service today when attempting to get a simple billing problem resolved. Long story short - the person I spoke with said they'd have to speak with my dying Grandmother, whom they have NEVER spoken with, to get our problem resolved. I respect any effort toward consumer protection; however, I opened this account, I pay the bill, I have made 100% of the phone calls and emails about it's maintenance, etc. Never once has anyone spoken with my Grandmother regarding her unit, or requested to do so -- until today, when I was told a woman who barely knows her name must speak with a customer service rep to have a simple billing issue resolved.... for the bill that I pay. Unbelievable.
When the rep I spoke with couldn't resolve my issue I asked to speak with her superior, to which she responded "they can't help you either." After a long hold I was told they'd return my call today. 8 hours later, no returned call. Additionally, our unit was defective, which would never cause me to write a bad review -- things happen and technology fails, but after today's incident I felt the need to share in an effort to save someone else the headache of this level of ignorance.

Bay Alarm Medical has always provided great customer service and it was no different this time while talking with Shauntee. My mother had the Bay Alarm service for over three years and had no complaints. She recently moved to an assisted living facility where they already provide the same service to all residents so she had to cancel the Bay Alarm service. If not for that, she would still be a customer. I had a question today with regards to turning in the home devices and Shauntee easily cleared things up for me. I would recommend Bay Alarm Medical to anyone considering this type of service. Reliable system and great support staff.

I started Bay Alarm Medical service for my elderly mom with the understanding that it can be cancelled at any time for a full refund of any unused time of service. On the website it clearly states such a policy. When she passed away I contacted Bay Alarm Medical requesting termination of a service no longer needed. Instead of cancelling it they made me keep the service for an additional month because they requested a death certificate to cancel. Had I known my mom would not only have to die but also provide an official death certificate to cancel the month to month contract I would have chosen someone else.

I had to update my credit card info for my mom Theila ** and order a necklace. Everyone was kind and courteous. I wanted to get the necklace for her and Shauntee found out that we had an old model and now we're getting the new model and new necklace without having to pay anything different. I would recommend Bay Alarm before any other alert company. The price is very reasonable. We've had Bay Alarm for quite a few years and never had a problem.

I just talked to Shauntee about needing to return a product because my circumstances had changed over the past year. Add to that, my "year" had been devastating and I recall very little. Shauntee was kind, very professional and quickly assessed the situation with good answers and we are now in the process of solving what could have been a most difficult situation. In addition to being so helpful, she was tolerant and reassuring given my quirky sense of humor. How refreshing to find such a kind, knowledgeable, professional and capable CS person.

My credit card on file had expired. I got an email to that effect, so called to update the card info. The notification email was timely, and the phone call to update the credit card went smoothly. I was very happy with the service.

Found Bay Alarm very responsive to questions and ready to help. The responders are always very polite and quick. My only complaint was with the original salesperson who failed to tell me I was there was a watch available and that I was getting the sensitive fall button which kept giving false alarms. She also failed to inform me that the large red stick on HELP buttons cost more. I imagine she must be on commission!

Originally contacted them 2 years ago to get a medical alert bracelet for my aunt who was going to be home for a weekend alone. They were super nice and friendly. The cost of the service is very reasonable. My aunt fell down this week and they had an ambulance there in almost no time. I am impressed. Thank you Bay Alarm.

Overall the company was fantastic during every encounter I had with them, if it wasn't for the fact that dementia prevented the person from remembering to wear the device for falling or to know what the box was for, we would still be using their services.

The advertisement stated a 30 day free trial. We received the unit but the phone connection would not work. We call the tech. service and he stated the system does not work with Verizon Wireless. We cancel the service because it did not work. No refund was offered or received.

When PG&E cut power to my area with inadequate notice, I was left without power to the Bay Alarm device. I received a call a few days later responding to my telephone call advising Bay Alarm of that fact and asking that they not call me in the middle of the night because they were seeing that my device was not working. They complied with my request, and the callback was a followup. I was completely satisfied with the way they responded. My one suggestion to them is that they identify themselves on Caller ID rather than just showing that they are a Toll Free Call, as many folks (including me) don't pick up the phone unless they know who's calling.

My mother in law still lived at home with my sister in law who works during the day. This was a little peace of mind, knowing if something happened - she would be helped. Although I believe she only used it twice - that was two times that made a difference. This also gave my mom in law the confidence to stay by herself during that time. I spoke to Vanessa because I was emailed a 2nd nonpayment notice. I had recently updated the expiration date on my credit card but apparently not in time for the auto payment. Vanessa was very helpful and rectified the problem for me. Thank you! It would have been better to receive a notice reminding me to update the extension date. Most companies do not require the customer to manually call them when the expiration date renews.

I am mad as hell. My mother has been waiting a week for a new fall detection necklace. Her battery completely died last week. I called and requested a new necklace last Friday and asked that it be overnighted. I was told it would be overnighted on Friday. I knew better than to think it would get here by Saturday, but it should have been here by Tuesday at the very latest!
On Tuesday I called Bay Alarm AGAIN and was told it was in the mail. I received a UPS email stating that I had a package set for delivery for today, Wednesday, but when I checked, it had JUST been entered into the system as a label was created. I am Mad. My mom has been a long time customer of Bay Alarm. She cannot stay at her house without this system so she is staying with me for now. She wants to go home to her own home, but can't because someone didn't do their job. Did I mention how mad I am? I just ordered a new system from another company and should have it by Friday. Bay Alarm will be cancelled first thing in the morning. If you value your safety I suggest that you think long and hard about continuing doing business with Bay Alarm. They are not even capable to get a new fall detection necklace in the mail...

Received a vmail and email on 9-23-18, that account was past due and had been since January of 2018. They said they had tried repeatedly, but I get vmail in my email and guarantee that is not the case. This was the first I had heard about the problem. Absolutely ridiculous, and we have replaced the communication box just a couple of months ago and nobody said anything. If you want me address issues that I'm not aware of you have to tell me. They got the account current, but did not tell me how much until I got a receipt, and then I called back to find out why it was so much. Billing operators are obviously not US-based and are not very understandable. I'm not very impressed.

My dad has had this service for a few years. Yesterday 2 letters were received dated the same day 11 days ago that his service was being terminated for nonpayment. This is auto withdraw from a credit card. I am Unable to speak to anyone until Monday as the business office is not open on weekends. I am most certain it's due to a credit card expiration. However- my 93-year-old father is on hospice and is blind. He has been left alone several times in the last few days with only his button as protection. They cut his service - and never notified us until now.
They have his home number - and 2 emergency contact numbers, as well as our house address, and NEVER reached out to us - until now. I will get this taken care of and then will cancel the service. Consumers have the choice of companies to use and there are many out there. If they choose to poorly communicate about a billing issue, I am not sure I want them communicating in the event of an emergency or a life and death situation. Choose wisely.

We received 2 letters today that our account is being stopped due to not paying our bills. Willa was very upset and always pays her bills on time and felt helpless. After a phone call to your company and speaking with a representative that was difficult to understand, her credit card had expired in April but we were never contacted until today. The representative said they’d sent emails but it was to another address which I never gave you. Willa doesn’t have a computer. I’m very disappointed with your way of handling this matter and if it weren’t for her safety I would cancel services. I’m still contemplating looking for another service that is more supportive and that has better communication.

Last week I received a letter stating my account had been cancelled due to lack of payment. This was the first I had known there was a problem. When I called I was told this was the third notice that had been sent. I did not receive the first two. Not 10 minutes after I hung up from talking to someone about my account, I receive a text asking for a review. Bay Alarm can't bother to send me a text about non-payment - but within minutes can send a text about a review. Very poor communication. I had never been late with a payment before!

The alarm was too heavy. The lanyard was too heavy, too long (had to have 6 inches hanging down the back of my neck). I was told by Bay Alarm (after I received it and was wearing it that I HAD to wear it on outside of clothing! NO WAY WAS I DOING THAT - it would make alarm swing out into the way every time I tried to lean forward for any reason!!! Lanyard could not be changed to different type due to method of attaching it!

Equipment operation and quick response by your team. I misjudged and overstepped the bottom step impacting concrete sidewalk. Hospital ER, CAT scan indicated no broken bones, just minor concussion, and abrasions on right forehead and side of head. No treatment rendered in ER. Sent me the with instructions to clean and medicate abrasions. Apply an ice pack to reduce swelling. No headache, but some minor soreness on right side of body.

We happen to have a AT&T tech checking on a phone connection and he was very helpful in assisting hooking this up so it went well with installation. I can't see 5 stars yet till I see how well my mother-in-law handles this system. She is legally blind and partially deaf so the real test will be with her experience. We do have more peace of mind it's there if she needs it.

I chose Bay Alarm Medical to provide for in-home medical alert primarily for my wife who has had heart problems and I don't like being away for long with her alone. The base system works great, but I also got the mobile GPS button for the times she is out and about by herself. The beauty of that device is that it connects by means of cell phone service to the call center but also provides them with your exact location through GPS tracking. We have often tested that feature while traveling and the system never fails to pinpoint our exact location -- to the house number where we may be or the hotel in which we are staying. You speak to the monitor center through the device and even if you are away from home and unsure of your location, they can find you. The folks at Bay Alarm Medical have been extremely helpful and courteous every time we have had contact with them. Their service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.

In my tests, my Bay Alarm Medical mobile system has returned incorrect location data to the call center 50% of the time (in 10 activation and non-activation tests). This is because the system does not recognize false or obsolete GPS data. I keep BAM only because of one invaluable feature: 24/7 tracking data with family access. I switched from Medical Guardian to BAM primarily for this reason. This feature requires functional password access to the data. Customer service is poor. Establishing an account password has been an anguishing process and password is still not working. BAM provides no help to synchronize passwords with Reliatrac.
The mobile call button hardware itself seems superior in quality, and performs as advertised. However, BAM provides little or no information on its operation. Also, there are several firmware features which need improvement. I can furnish a very detailed discussion of my experience and the faults I find with BAM, including recommendations for improvement.

Appears to work as promised. I was outside mowing the yard and suddenly an ambulance shows up. Apparently, I accidentally pressed the emergency button. Since I was outside, I did not receive the verification call. The EMTs were very understanding and said it happens quite often. My emergency contacts were also contacted. So far, I am very pleased with the service.

I have been struggling with this company since September. The alarm machine shorts out the FIOS telephone. Bay Alarm states that it wasn't their problem. I had a Verizon come to evaluate the situation two times. Both times they confirmed it was the fault of Bay Alarm. (Yes I paid $100 for 2 Verizon visits.) Finally, after months, Bay Alarm sends new machine...same problem. It's fine, unless you plug it in. Shorts out telephone every time. Rude customer service who don't listen. Three times I was told that a supervisor would call back. Still waiting... AVOID THIS COMPANY! Thankfully, we did not have a life and death situation...but could have. I don't resort to social media, but no response otherwise. Still waiting Bay Alarm - call me!
Updated on 07/28/2018: I wrote a review about the Bay Alarm machine shorting out our telephone system with poor customer service to resolve. Below my review the company said that they have resolved the problem and are so happy to assist me. That is not the truth. The problem has not been resolved. I continue to wait for 3 return phone calls that they promised. I need a return call, Bay Alarm!!! I don’t understand the deception this company has continued to demonstrate. No resolution. I am an 88-year old senior who lives in my own home alone. I have had Vertigo (constant dizziness) for 19 years now, for which there is no medical solution. But I am still in good health, have a large yard and a small garden and keep as active as I can caring for all this. Attempted to test service as I had been instructed to do. First time on Sat., July 14, I pressed button on unit near my phone. Light went on and it said "Calling for Help twice" and disconnected! I Was able to call in and after a lot of back and forth with Vanessa and then Rebecca, was able to determine that the call came in at 11:33 am. I pressed reset; they said there was glitch of some kind. The next day I was able to connect by pressing the button I wear, but again was not offered help. Finally got through with help of my visiting son. SUPPOSEDLY NOW CONNECTED CORRECTLY, BUT... IF IT HAD NOT BEEN A TEST YOU WOULD HAVE LEFT ME HIGH AND DRY. Extremely dissatisfied with service. After first disconnect someone should have called me via phone.

I contacted your customer service department on two occasions and was cut off both times. The reps said to stay on the line which I did and then they were gone. I tried a third time about an hour later and got through with no problem. Bad service getting cut off.

When I first looked into getting a medical pendant for my Mother who suffers from congestive heart failure, I read many reviews on the different companies out there. Bay Medical came up not as the top recommended company, but somewhere in the middle. I think what attracted me the most about their product was that the price was a little cheaper than other companies. Well, you get what you pay for!
My initial interaction with this company was through their website. I ordered their equipment, it arrived in a little over a week's time. Missing from the box was what should have been an extra phone cord so you could piggy-back the dialing/speaker unit to your phone. Instead, the company provided a computer cable which was worthless for me -- and I suspect -- most other people's purposes. After a few days, I decided I did not want to be charged monthly. It would be easier to be charged quarterly. I sent the company an email, they told me to call them on a specific day to change my billing so that I would not end up getting pro-rated. On the specified day, I made my first phone call to the company and found out something rather alarming... They don't answer the phone.
During regular business hours, no matter whether you need technical support, have a billing question, or you want to make an inquiry on becoming a customer --- THERE IS NO LIVE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Each and every time I called their customer hotline, I reached a recording telling me to leave a message. l would leave a message and end up having to play phone tag with the customer service agents. They call you back on their available time. I spent days trying to chase down an agent over the phone until I finally gave up and told them to cancel my account and arrange to return my equipment. At that point, they stopped emailing me back. They would not confirm my cancellation request. They became absolutely silent. I ended up having to contact my credit card company and have the charge removed and a block put on all future charges made to me by Bay Medical Alarm.
Then I went to the BBB website and started reading one horror story after another about how uncaring this company is when tragedies do happen. I suggest anyone thinking of dealing with this company do a check on BBB ratings. Simply Google: "Bay Medical Alarm Complaints" or "Bay Medical Alarm Better Business Bureau". I am now in the process of returning their equipment, at my own expense. They won't pay for the return. Do yourself a huge favor and spend a little more money with a more reputable company. Any company that runs a Medical Emergency Business by forcing you to communicate through voice messaging instead of a live agent does not deserve your consideration.

I asked for a bracelet button over a month ago. I am yet to receive it. I told the person I spoke with that I had lost my necklace button. Had I not found the one I lost there would be no way for me to let someone know if I had a problem.

Only just connected the system yesterday, so only experience is with Customer Service, and they have been very helpful so far. Could not get someone to connect the system for 10 days since receiving it by UPS, so only complaint is that Bay Alarm Medical started charging Mom for the unit before she could get someone to set it up.

Bay Medical Alert was 100% dependable when my elderly mother used it. Fortunately, each of the times she used her button was a false alarm but the Bay staff called my brother or I immediately and when I called for clarification one of the times they called him, they provided meticulous detail about the call. Also, it was one of the better-priced medical alert systems.

My Dad now uses your system since March. He has not had any recent emergencies. However we have tested the device several times, had good and timely response from your associates and feel comfortable with the equipment. The system has speakers that are easy for him to hear.

I called customer service number to assist with initial set up of system and the pairing of pendants and help buttons. Courteous helpful patient and effective service. We went from a sealed box to a fully functional system in less than 15 minutes including dictation of initial call list over the phone. Could not be more pleased.

I've only had my device for a few months, so only one complaint so far. The WiFi device is a little bulky and heavy to wear around my neck. Wish it could be a bit slimmer. Battery life is pretty good. Great customer service, and cost is comparable if not better than other devices.

I'm a new subscriber of about 3 months. Within a couple of weeks of setting up my system I accidentally hit the trip button on my wristband and set off an alert. Your people responded quickly and were not disturbed by my error. I have only done a test run once since then, from a remote part of my basement while doing some laundry. I wanted to know if the system would work from there. It did and I feel even more confident and safe now that I have Bay Alarm Medical to get help for me in an emergency!

Nae ** stuck with it until we were finally able to get the completed customer information form to go through, through fax, and confirmed receipt/invited me to call with any further questions or issues. The problem was that my email of last week had not generated any confirmation of receipt, and the hardware arrived via UPS today.

My mom is 85 and a fall risk. She has the wrist band as well as the fall detection necklace. Knowing she has help at the push of a button is a great relief for me when I am at work... and am not with her. The staff has been very patient and understanding with her. She was getting ready for bed one night and took off the wrist band. A voice came over the base unit and asked if she was OK. Bay Alarm had received notice that her button had been pushed. Long story short, her cat had found the bracelet and had pushed the button. Bay Alarm Medical was very understanding. What an awesome company.

As I began to search for options to keep our mom at home as long as possible, I was grateful for the details, including pricing, clearly available on the Bay Alarm Medical (BAM) website. Other suppliers of similar systems would not reveal much of anything without having my contact information first... probably so they could "sell" me. Thanks to the transparency, I started the conversation with a sound understanding and simply confirmed my questions.
BAM also has an innovative solution with their HELP buttons that we mounted in key locations throughout the house. We could not depend on mom remembering to wear the pendant or wristwatch, but we wanted her to have the ability to request help if needed and this gave us a reasonable solution. Vincent was helpful initially on the phone and their overall service has been what I expected - they did what they said they would do - these days, that means a lot. We appreciate their support and the system seems to be working well. Thank you for your support!

Outdoor cable for house keys - I called to ask how to disable the cable lock, not the lock box, but the cable itself. Your young lady said this was not your responsibility; only the key lock was, She could not assist me even if they were delivered together in a package from your company. She did suggest that twisting the connection may have been of value. It was not.

On 3/16/18 I forgot to take off the call button when leaving. Unknowingly the car seat belt pressed the call button. With the garage door opening, car starting & me inside the car, I did not hear the alarm. You made every attempt to reach someone, but due to various circumstances, could not reach anyone. You even sent a squad, but I was at clinic getting blood work & had my phone off. Now we know the alarm works very well! Thank you!

We used this service for several years for our mother. For one month the system was somehow disconnected and we were not alerted to this. We received varying accounts of what occurred from different representatives. Fortunately she did not have a fall during that period. Fast forward to when we needed to cancel the service when she went into a facility. The equipment was returned in December of 2017. I followed up to make sure they had received it, which they did. Here it is April, and I have made numerous calls to the company to receive a prorated check.
I've received stories that it was on its way, that they've had computer problems and so on. When I spoke with Alex, one of the supervisors on February 23rd and was told it would take another month. I called again on April 16th and was told that Alex would call me back. CRICKETS. The ineptitude of this company amazes me. I would not recommend them to anyone. The only option they leave you with is to provide them with negative public feedback.

I find that the necklace rope you use is very itchy and am allergic to it. You should use non allergic materials! This means that I cannot wear it and have to keep the necklace next to me. I’m thinking of changing companies.

Because the equipment is now a fixture in my kitchen, I have come to check-in about once a month, just to make sure it is working properly. I have a new habit - when my husband leaves the house either to drive a distance away or just to work in the garden, I put on the "necklace" and wear it until he comes back into the house. My siblings and I purchased the button for our mom and she's had it for approximately 3-4 months. We've not had anything happen, so I can't really speak to this except to say I know it gives her peace of mind and myself. So far everything has been great.

I secured Bay Alarm for my 97 yr old mom who still lives in her own apartment. I've had numerous occasions to speak to them during setup and since. My mom accidentally bumped her button on her wrist unit. She didn't have her hearing aids in when Bay Alarm called to check on her condition, so they called the paramedics, then the three siblings on the list. They have been fantastic every time I've called to check on something. This is the reason that, after researching companies, I chose Bay Alarm. They are Fantastic! My mother gets around OK. But she sometimes accidentally sets off the alarm, and they are very good with her. And I think there has only been one time she actually fell. SO she is very confident of the service and so am I.

My dad hasn't needed to use it but I feel more comfortable with him having it. One challenge is that the watch keeps falling off his wrist while he is sleeping. It's not a quality band. What can we do about that?

The customer service that I received from Sarah was wonderful. She helped me figure out what would work out best for my Mom. Her kindness and smile was felt over the phone. The Call center is so respectful. Mom has set off her GPS by accident more than a couple of times. The call center makes contact with mom and makes sure that my mom is alright. I purchased my Bay Alarm Medical System last October. Since then I haven't had any emergencies. However, when I set off the alarm button in error (about 6 times) I am very impressed with the speed and consistency with which Bay Alarm Medical responds by audio. We ordered this unit, and because of a variety of issues, didn't end up installing it for a few months. That is on us. However, the first night, mom rolled over on the button, and the call box began making an alarm sound (LOUD). Since I was there, I went to the box, and in the meanwhile, mom stumbled her way out. She almost fell as she hurried to the phone box in the living room. When we called, we learned that if we had the GPS model, we could get the same communication through the button that is available from other companies at a far less cost. Installation was rather easy, and communication through the box was ok. But if she could get to the phone, there wouldn't be a need for the button. I did a lot of research, and it was not at all clear that communication through the button was not an option unless you got the very expensive plan.

The audio on our base unit is loud to ensure users, who are mostly hard of hearing- can hear it, whether it is a false alarm or an emergency. We do not have a button with a speaker, but we do have the Mobile GPS which is a device best used when away from the home. Our standard buttons do not have a speaker because they are all waterproof, a feature we find important as many falls occur in the shower. I ordered the Bay Alarm system for my mom because a month after my dad passed away she fell down her stairs in the quad-level she was living in. She did not call any of her children to let us know. Turns out she suffered a bad cut to her head and a compression fracture to her spine. Having the system gave the family peace of mind that if it happened again she could press the alert button and receive help within minutes. My mom has now moved into an Assisted Living Facility. Since a contract is not required it was easy to cancel the service when she moved. All the employees were friendly from the moment I first called for information until the end when service was no longer needed. The monthly fee was reasonable & there were no hidden charges. I will definitely recommend this company!

I have had my medical alert button for 2 or 3 month. I haven't had to use it thankfully but makes me feel safer. Twice I have done something that set it off and a person come on and has been very polite and understanding. My family feels better with me having the medical alert necklace.

You can and should test your system at least once a month by pushing the button and once our dispatcher comes over the base unit speaker, let them know you are okay and just testing. I was very disappointed with the set-up instructions provided with the system when it arrived. We ended up having EMS response at our home without our knowledge of even having done so. I heard a voice message 2 nights ago when I was sound asleep that a system check was needed. It scared me. I would have appreciated a warning that this notification would occur at this time when I received the system.

My Mom passed away recently, leaving Dad home alone. He has some balance problems and I was concerned he might fall. I ordered the alarm system and easily set it up. Dad wears the lanyard around his neck at all time. He has his information on the fridge and the little console is in the dining room. Dad told me the cat stepped on the help button once, and the operator was very kind and understanding. We are both happy with Bay Alarm Medical thus far.

For the most part, the system is good. The only part that I am unsure of is the "fall detection" feature. I am not sure this is working. If I press the button, they respond OK, but not with fall detection. How do I know it is working?
Hi Judy - Thank you for your review. We understand it is hard to test a fall for the that fall detection button, but you did the right thing by testing the button. We always recommend a user with fall detection to push their button once if they are able to. Even though a user has fall detection, if conscious, then pushing the button will connect to our dispatchers. If the fall detection user is unable to push the button but is still conscious, we advise they do not move too much so that the button can detect it as a fall and not normal movement. I purchased this system for my parents. We exchanged a wrist alert for a neck pennant. It took 6 emails to get the billing correct and to have them cease and desist sending me a document through DocuSign to sign, which I had already signed. As I said, very nice people there, just a bit frustrating.

VERY satisfied with the quality of Bay Alarm Medical devices and customer service. So far, everything has set up simply and easily, function tested without error or issue; has responded to a few false alarms where Dad inadvertently pressed the pendant button (once while opening a jar of pickles); and the GPS device has been spot on since it came out of the box and got fired up. The peace of mind for my father, myself, and my two brothers in invaluable. Dad has his independence but he knows his three sons are keeping an eye on him (with the GPS device). Takes a couple of minutes to connect with a live person. Sometimes 3. If you have an emergency 3 minutes seems like forever. Maybe the norm for the industry but wished it would be 1 maybe less than 2 minutes. Otherwise great system. Reminders to test. Very professional. Reasonable rates. Good technology.

I was calling just to check if my unit was working. It took some time till someone came on the line to help me. It would be better to call 911 if I needed that help. Also where the responding unit is from my bedroom, so they have difficulty hearing me as I shout. The person helping me initially should have explained how it worked.

We unplugged the unit because young children were visiting and we thought they would start pushing the button. Bay Alarm called to say they detected a power failure and did a thorough questioning to confirm my mother was okay. Impresses.

Luckily, I have yet to need my alarm for an emergency, yet just having it around my neck, makes me feel safe. My wife insists I do not leave the house without it. Recently, sitting at my desk, I accidentally and unwittingly pushed the device's button, and was promptly awakened from a boring task by a friendly voice "Are you OK? Do you need help?" I was, and I didn't... however, felt very assured that Bay Alarm is on the ball.

In an effort to assist you in achieving a more positive experience, I'd like to share what occurred with me. I ordered your unit & services for my mother who had just gotten home from an emergency hospital stay. I asked for overnight delivery, even offered to bill my FedEx acct and was denied. The service you chose was UPS ground delivery even tho you advertised it as an express service. When the unit did arrive, it was the wrong type needed for her landline! While you did overnight the 2nd unit the taste of poor customer service lingered. I chose your company based on great reviews... you need to consider the customer need when shipping their product. These days there are many companies willing to provide the service... be great... not just enough :-).

My mother fell in her home on a Sunday. She pressed the Bay Alarm button. Bay Alarm sent paramedics, fire department etc. Bay Alarm called me to let me know of the fall. I am only 6 minutes from her home. The Emergency Services departments were already there and were preparing her for transport to hospital. She had broken her hip. Bay Alarm was fantastic. The people answering the calls are polite, knowledgeable and very responsive.

All the agents have been very cheerful and knowledgeable. I had a small problem once and they corrected it. One time, I got out of the shower and the device I have around my neck dropped on the tile floor of my bathroom. I phoned them. They tested it and assured me that it was working perfectly.

My experience has only been with testing my system. When I press the "help" button on my wristband or on my GPS enabled device, it takes too long to connect to an operator. I'm sure that the reason is because of the cellular technology being used. When I dialed 911 back in December, I was immediately connected to an operator and the EMTs were at my front door while I still on the phone with the 911 operator. That being said, having the Bay Alert service gives me and my relatives peace of mind.

Service overall is satisfactory but masks outgoing caller ID. However... When added to the phone line it masks outgoing calls so others received calls show a blank instead of moms name in their caller ID. Other than that the service is good... It’s fine!

Basically, I've been in contact to Bay Medical by accident only - my granddaughter pushed my necklace button and one other time, the button got pushed when I placed the necklace on a table with the button facing down. The response time each time was about 3 minutes. The tech responding to my "accidental" calls was extremely nice and understanding each time, always asking for confirmation of my well being.

I have had a number of Fulton alarms. Your response time is unbelievable. It's so fast and this thing is so sensitive that I have to be very careful even picking it up and putting it on but I feel very confident. Then in an emergency it will work as advertised. Very happy.

I placed an order for the Bay Alarm Medical and received it quickly. I filled out the paperwork beforehand and when I called to activate it the process went very smoothly. I am more comfortable leaving my 97 year old mother home alone for a short time while I run errands. Easy to set up, easy to use. The representatives were very helpful during the testing. My mom has not needed the device, but it's such peace of mind knowing it's with her 24/7; you can not put a price on knowing help is just the push of a button away. I ordered both the indoor alarm and the GPS alarm for My 87 year old Father in law. I worried about Him living in the country by Himself in case of an emergency. We had a few problems when We first got them. The indoor one works through a base station in His living room. The problem was because he is hard of hearing He cannot hear the voices over the base. Partially because of the hearing problem and partially because he turns the tv up to hear it.
He was in the bedroom and he was getting ready for bed. He was wearing one on His wrist and when He was putting his arm in His shirt he bumped the button and didn't hear the operator calling Him and because the operator was doing exactly what they should they sent the EMS people to His house. To solve this problem We got hold of both Bay and the Ems and asked them to call Him on His landline as He feels he can hear that and possibly save a false alarm. Again Bay did exactly what We wanted them to do.
The second problem was with the GPS unit that He carries when he leaves the house. The first unit would not work with His wireless telephone provider. After talking to Bay customer service they send Me a unit that would work out there. Again kudos to Bay. I think a person will have to figure out what would work in their case. The only negative I can see is the GPS unit is a bit slow when You push the button before You get hold of an operator. It would be a vast improvement to the base station if it would have a place to plug in a speaker or 2 to put one in each room to be sure He hears it. All in all this unit has provided My Wife and I with a lot of peace of mind knowing He has help in an emergency. And I want to stress that the operators are top notch. Very Friendly and polite and get help for Him if needed. Thank You Bay!

We had two false alarms triggered by the maids last Friday at my Mom's home (Norma **) who is 92. The alarm folks called her straight away and in both occasions were very patient and professional. My Mom is alone most days while I'm in my home office 1/2 mile away. I never worry now that I know she has the alarm bracelet and system throughout the house. Thank you!

I have been very pleased with the customer service, responsiveness and patience of the team. I believe all is working well for my mother and thankfully we have not needed the emergency service to date; however, there was an accidental call made and the team was so kind and helpful. My only issue is the GPS monitored button/device is too big, heavy and clunky for a petite elder woman to wear around her neck. If there was another, smaller option to wear when she leaves the house, that would be a wonderful addition to the product line. Thank you for keeping my mother safe.

So far, I'm not too convinced: the one time we tested your services, as recommended, you had a glitch in your system -- I could not stop the ambulance from coming as you indicated I had called THREE times -- when I only did once, and told the dispatcher it was a test and he promised he'd reset. Also: it looks like you got my address wrong.

I decided to get the complete set for my 88 year old grandmother a few months back, and can honestly say that I'm very pleased. While it did take some convincing, she reluctantly agreed to "try" it after watching the helpful videos on BAM website. She's even accidentally fell asleep with the necklace on and called by rolling over, and the staff was respectful and understanding. I do a test call once a month, every person I've spoken with is extremely nice. I know she is in good care now when I can't be.

I just spoke with two of the best customer service women on the planet. I was trying to get my mother's medical button activated and they walked me through every step of the way with great patience and humor. Even after I disconnected the phone and modem! Now that it is complete, I can see how easy it really was. So don’t be afraid to reach out to these people, they really are wonderful. Good customer service and response BUT when discussing options for payment it should have been confirmed that there is an advantage to going with the 6 month payment plan in that there is an additional free Safety Lockbox and shipping then is free. I was not aware of this at the time of the call and Sara did not explain that to me as well as not telling me that my payment would be pro-rated and refunded should we discontinue at any time during the 6 months. Not a BIG deal but it would have been nice to know that upfront so that I could consider it.

Unable to locate the source of the low battery signal which was causing annoying notifications. Representative Esmerelda went above and beyond, using knowledge of the latest technology combined with combing through our records to deduce where the signal was coming from then assisting in performing an entire system reset, hopefully eliminating future low battery signals. BTW, the signal was errant. The low battery device had been removed and trashed weeks before yet the signal and notifications continued to plague us. Thanks to Esmerelda for her patience, diligence, and knowledge in solving this issue.

Just purchased an alarm. Had some issues that Esmeralda help me resolve so that my mother would feel comfortable using the alarm. Suggest to Bay Alarm that they provide a softer cloth chain to use for older persons with double skin issues.

System was easy to set up. What impressed me was in the second week my mother had this, she accidentally triggered the alarm in her sleep and was not near the unit to converse with the operator. The door of the house happened to be unlocked and Bay Alarm must have sent an agent to check out the house who quietly let himself in. My mother was awake and startled/frightened, called out. The agent somehow quickly reassured her and indicated his uniform. She calmed down quickly and after ensuring she was okay left. The accidental emergency gives me reassurance that Bay Alarm contracts with capable, professional monitoring service.

Our dispatch center will send out local EMS if they do not hear back from the user as they would rather be safe than sorry. Local EMS will then take appropriate measures to ensure they get to the user as quickly as possible to provide help. Again, we are very happy she was okay! Our system arrived yesterday and we were unable to get the system to register bars for AT&T cell service. The representative this morning was very helpful and reassured me that they would do their best to get it working. I am to call Customer Service back when I get home for them to walk me through a hard reset. Looking forward to getting the system up and running. Very pleased with the customer service so far.

Trish could not have been more helpful when I called concerned about my husband's safety in our home. I had read so many reviews online and was so confused by all the companies and possibilities out there. Bay Alarm Medical had the best reviews and offered what I feel we need in our home for his safety. I have placed the order for the service and am anxious to try their system. I purchased this service for my dad and thankfully never had to use it. When my dad moved into my home and on hospice care I decided to cancel the service since he would have me to care for him 24/7. I called and followed through with the instructions on powering off the machine and was told to have the equipment postmarked by 2/5/18. I carefully packed the equipment and sent it priority mail on 1/31/18 (Weds). I was told by the post office that it should arrive on Friday (2/2/18).
I called the following week to see that they received my package. They told me that they needed a tracking number, which made me feel uneasy and red flags. I was at work and didn’t have my receipt and was told that it would take a while to process. In the meantime I was charged!!! I called again a few days later and they still claim they haven’t received my package. I feel scammed!!! My dad has passed away and cannot find my receipt. I have contacted my local post office and they are going to see where my “lost” package is. Not a happy customer right now and will NOT refer or use them again!!!

The lady was very helpful! I'm 82 years old and do not like to use the computer. My husband always took care of it until he passed away and went home to Jesus. I appreciate the lady's patience and making sure the new cell phone number, e-mail address and Visa card number was put on my account. She was very kind and thoughtful and wanted to know if she had answered all my questions. I also paid my bill, because I had not received a notice. Trish was very helpful, kind & patient. Answered all my questions completely. She told me of everything that would be coming in the package. I wanted the fall protection and Trisha let me know that 2 bracelets would be coming. 1 that my mom can wear at night time, so the alarm will not go off if she moves a lot & 1 for daytime. So far since having this installed, it's been great to have. it works just fine. Also the fall detection works great. I have nothing bad to say at this time. I feel so much more secure at home alone both inside and around the yard and driveway with this device. My only advice is to hold the necklace when bending over to pick something up, or tie shoelaces. The device is overly sensitive and I've set it off just picking up the paper, or putting on my shoes. Otherwise it is a good piece of mind for me and my daughters who worry.

Ordered a Bay Alarm system. Within a few days, dad had to have 24 hour hospice care. We never even opened the boxes. Called, got RMA, sent stuff back (unopened), it was delivered and signed for by Sean at Bay Alarm on 01/04/2018. Still no refund. We were well, well withing trial period. Still getting emails from Bay Alarm as if account is still active.

Called over a week ago to ensure that pendant doesn’t interfere with pacemaker. Have not received reply to inquiry. Will not use until we make sure device is safe. Paid for the year and have gotten no use for device.

My phone went out twice and you promptly made me aware of the problems. However I could do nothing about the problems since it was the phone provider’s error. Somehow or other the button on my bracelet alarm went off and you very promptly answered the alarm making me aware of the situation.

I have not used the service yet, so I can only rate wearing the alarm. The necklace is very comfortable and does not interfere with my everyday life. I hope I never have to use the service, but I feel better knowing that I have that option.

This is an easy to install system for in home monitoring... purchased for an aging parent and the system is designed well. Customer service is very helpful— we had a questions about installing via a cable VOIP system. The multiple emergency buttons and wearable units are simple and well conceived.
