My mother has not yet had to use this service and we are thankful for that. However, we have peace of mind knowing that if she is alone there is help at the touch of a button. Staff was very helpful in setting up the system and letting us check out multiple locations in the house and yard to test range effectiveness.

My mother has had her alarm system for two months now. She accidentally pushed the button the first week. She tried to tell them it was a mistake and that she didn't need help, but there was no way to stop the help from arriving. We were interested in the GPS system, but were told that in her area, it would only provide spotty service, so we did not purchase it. We could not remember if the device is water-proof though.

Everything is fine with the bracelet except I accidentally set it off twice when the button hit something when I laid my arm a certain way. However, the two customer service reps were wonderful both times and seemed very concerned for my safety and were so happy to hear I was fine and it was just a mistake. I could not have been happier with the service they provided.

Ordered this system and paid for a full year. Use it for 2 months and my husband passed away. There was no refund. And no mailing label to return the equipment which was required by them. They threaten to continue charging year after year until the equipment was returned.

Very good service. Whenever we have pressed the HELP button, either to test or by accident, the verbal response has been professional and thorough. We have not had to call for help for real yet. My mother chose to wear the wristband instead of the lanyard because she does not like things around her neck. My one suggestion would be to put the button unit on an elastic band that the user can get on by him/herself. My mother cannot get hers on by herself and even though she should not take it off, she does not want to sleep with it, so she takes it off... but then she can't get it back on without help. I ended up sewing it on to a loop of elastic for her so she could get it on alone.

I ordered two sets of monitoring lanyards for my parents. They have not had any emergencies, but have accidentally pushed their buttons several times. They are very pleased with the promptness of the system and the politeness of the responder. Our only disappointment is that there is no microphone in the neck device.

My father lives in a small manufactured home in Pleasanton. The Bay Alarm unit is located in his family room, between the kitchen and bedroom. Each time we have tested the unit/service the operator has not been able to hear my father when he is in his bedroom or bathroom. This is true even after the Bay Alarm operator selected a different mode that supposedly would allow them to hear better. This is of great concern.

When I needed a alarm unit, I looked up a few others. Yours was my choice because it had good reviews as did the others, but it also comes with a AARP Discount. That's a bonus to make this more economical than the others. When I received the unit for my Dad, I took it out of the box followed the simple instructions and it was up and running in less than 10 minutes.

After researching, Bay Alarm looked like the right way to go. Ordering was easy, and equipment arrived quickly. My parents live in Hawaii and after receiving, were reluctant to hook up. It has been two months and they have not activated the system yet. While I understand this is their issue, I would have thought Customer Service may have checked back to see if there were any problems. So can not give a review of how the system works yet.

I purchased two Bay Alarm Medical units--one for my Mother and one for my Aunt. I was very pleased with how easy the whole set-up was and how helpful the representatives have been. Any time we had questions, the staff has been more than understanding and helpful. Thankfully, they have not had to use it yet but feel confident if they do---help will arrive!! I would recommend.

Basic service seems to be ok. Can't compare to others, and, like all insurance, WHEN NEEDED is THE TEST. Either GREAT or horrible!! The wrist band is very cheap and button sticks up which makes it easy to accidentally activate. For a company that has the years of experience of Bay Medical Alarm, MORE ATTENTION should be paid to detail and customer use. We are elderly with all the attendant weaknesses.
On 5 star, would rate 3 ½ at present. AND, THIS SURVEY IS AN EXAMPLE. Sent to customer email therefore could link to data instead of requiring the form completion. Get 'comment' complete then MORE questions. Designed by young people unable to understand those being surveyed. Very common .. almost typical. Have tried to "send" three times! ARE YOU adults?

I am very pleased with my pendant. It was easy to setup. I was able to do this myself. Everyone with the company has been very pleasant. Sat, May 20, the fire dept rolled up to the house. The alarm button had not been pressed even inadvertently. The base unit did not sound the warning as it does when the button is pushed. The alarm company did try to reach 3 of the emergency contact numbers and unfortunately none was answered. By the time we returned the call 10 minutes later, the fire department was already at the house. In that respect the system worked.
Since Saturday - now being Tuesday - we've tried to get an explanation. Everyone from the company that we have spoken with has been most polite and has tried to be helpful. However, at this point no one can explain why the signal went out to call specifically the fire dept. We don't know how that can be done - to pick and choose- even if that had been the intention. The upheaval and stress in my 85 yr-old mother's life has been awful. She was reluctant originally to consent to the service. We understand that glitches do happen. But we also think that within 4 days someone needs to be able to explain what happened. Right now the confidence in this service is non existent.

I have been the caregiver for my 90 year old mother since 2008. This past year she had many falls so I checked the alert companies for a few days. I decided on your company and I am very pleased with your prompt response. My mother unplugged your unit and you called me right away. She did it again to plug a lamp in and I had to explain again not to unplug it. She is very independent and lives alone but very hard of hearing even with her hearing aid, which she does not wear all the time.. I check and call her daily. The people who I speak to are very pleasant and understanding.

We are very satisfied with the service, system and set-up process of the alarm system. The only problem we have is the volume of the speaker phone and that sometimes my husband, who has hearing aids cannot hear the young man talking to us when you call. We are hoping there is some type amplifier device available to make the voice project thru out the house. Our home is only 1000 sq ft, but it is hard to hear if we are not in the living room, close to the device.

My 81-year old mother, who lives alone in an apartment, asked me to look into a medical alert device for her. Following an extensive search and review of all companies offering medical alert devices, we decided on Bay Alarm Medical. It was one of the top-rated service providers at a cost that is very affordable. Everyone I spoke to at Bay Alarm Medical has been very kind and professional. They answered all of my questions about their service and put my mind at ease. Since receiving her medical alert device, my mother has accidentally pressed the "help" button a couple of times. Each time, Bay Alarm Medical responded to her quickly, which reassures us that in a true emergency Bay Alarm Medical will be there for us. Bay Alarm Medical has given my mother the freedom to continue living by herself at 81 years of age with the comfort of knowing that they will be there to help if the need arises. This company only cheats you out of your money. Don't give them your hard earned money. I contracted this company for my son because they had good reviews, however, when we cancelled they charged us for a year of service, and we are still trying to get my 239 back for services not rendered. As far as I am concerned they stole my hard earned money for no service. BEWARE!!!!!!! If you do use this company don't do an annual contract.

I ordered Bay Alarm for my mom. She is 87 and lives alone. The shipment was very prompt - easy to set up and easy to try. She has set the alarm off by accident twice now and being the person she is, she's quick to apologize when they call. The customer service reps are very understanding and quick to reassure her that there is nothing to worry about - they were just glad to know she was ok. I would recommend Bay Alarm to anyone!

My relatives tried to move the base of system for my mother. By accident, he touched the alarm button. The operator called immediately. However, for some reason, it was difficult to get the real situation. Then Bay Alarm Medical decided to send corresponded people to my mother's location. They went there very quickly. Even though, they found it was an accident, they still talk friendly. Very good service.

My grandpa has been using the system I got him for about three months now and we have both been quite happy with our purchase. He was hesitant at first about the whole idea at first but after I finally convinced him that it was more for my peace of mind than it was for him he finally got on board. He was also very hesitant about the wristband button that I got for him because he thought he would be accidentally pushing the button all the time. He has only pushed it on accident once and I showed him that it was no problem.
If he wants to push it every day just to test it out, he can! If they can't get a hold of you through the speaker box then they call the people on the contact list. So far, the system has been working out quite well for us. We both like the extended range of the remotes because my grandpa is still quite active and ventures out of the house to tinker on his projects! I would recommend this system.

We have had to rely on Bay Alarm 2 times in the past 2 years when mom fell. They were so reliable and efficient. We also had to exchange the battery once and that was perfect. The new one came within a day. Mom calls monthly to check in with Bay Alarm and those that answer the call are wonderful, polite and very friendly. Mom likes that. I have recommended Bay Alarm to 4-5 other teachers in my school who have elderly parents. They are completely satisfied also. The price is very reasonable also. We have not really had a need to call for help. Yet it does give us peace of mind to know we have the ability to request assistance should the need arise. Having the system has made us more aware of being cautious in other ways. We have installed a hand rail on our front steps and keep our bracelets either on our wrists or near enough to reach. Our daughter ordered the system for us, so I am not able to rate the ordering process.

I, too, did considerable research before ordering the Bay Alarm Medical alert system for my 86 year old mother. The price is reasonable, the customer service personnel were very helpful. The equipment arrived quickly. I'm sure the equipment would have been easy to set up, as this was the second system I have ordered, and the instructions looked exactly the same as the first. Before removing the system from the box, I read through the accompanying paperwork.
The Service Agreement (which must be signed and returned before any monitoring begins) contains the following language in Part 4: "You further understand that we may be negligent in providing the service and may fail to properly respond to the receipt of a request for assistance, notification or signal from the system . . ." To me this sounds like I am obligated to pay for a service Bay Alarm is not obligated to provide. I sent the system back immediately ~ because you only have until midnight on the 14th day after delivery to cancel, or you are on the hook for the price of the equipment, as well as any monitoring fees you have prepaid.

On accident, my young grandson was curious about the "new device in my room" especially the "help" button, so he pressed it!! He ran from the room when the machine started to "talk" to him. She was very concerned that it may be a real incident, but I told her it was not, apologized and she was very pleasant and understood. Ordered for my parents... It had never been removed from the box... They didn't want it as my father was diagnosed, just weeks later, with lung cancer and given six months to live and my mother was diagnosed with leukemia (cancer of the bone marrow). Upon the return of the system and speaking with customer service, they would not refund a penny! BEWARE! They begin charging you the day you order, NOT the day you call in to initially start your service!

I was not satisfied using the Bay Alarm Medical System. When I ordered the device, I explained I was in and out of the house and not home bound. This device is best for older inactive people who are home bound. However, I was led to believe otherwise. Because I could not use the system, I returned it. I did not hear from Bay Alarm Medical and called about a refund since I had paid for a year upfront and I had five remaining months after I returned the device. I was told there was no refund on unused time. This was never explained to me when I signed up for the year.
A test period should be offered to all customers since there is no way a business can determine over the phone your physical abilities. Lacking that, sign up for a month or two. It will cost less in the long run. Beware of a company that does not refund money for time unused. My recommendation is to look elsewhere for a medical alarm device and make sure you have a test period with refund available for unused time.

The ordering process was fine but we're really disappointed with the system's audio. It sounds like an old AM radio with a weak signal. I'm concerned my mom is not going to be able to understand the operator answering. I have trouble understanding the operators and I'm 25 years younger.

Was happy with the individual who took the order and helpful when it came to the equipment. Delivery was efficient and fast. Tested it immediately from different areas and the person at the other end of the monitor could hear and acknowledge. The ONLY think I wasn't too happy about is making out what the person's response was. It sounded like a scratchy radio program, not clear at all. That's the only reason for the 4 star.

While my mom and her brother were setting up the system, he made a mistake and touched the alarm button and dispatched the emergency response team. Within 3 min. the paramedics were at mom's house and ready to aid. Bay Alarm had called three people on the list within a few mins. to check on mom. This makes me feel very secure and eases my mind. Mom said the the necklace is non-invasive and now she's used to wearing it. Thank you Bay Alarm System!

I would like to follow up on my negative review of Bay Medical on February 27, 2014. To clarify, I was never dissatisfied with the product or service. My problem began when the company refused any refund after we cancelled my dad's service 5 days after they charged us for a full year. I was contacted on March 11, 2014 by a representative from Bay Medical's consumer affairs resolution department, Carli, who told me they would refund my money less 1 month after they received the equipment back. I accepted this offer, telling her this is what I asked for in the beginning. The equipment was mailed back to them that same day. I have no doubt I will be getting my refund returned now. I appreciate Carli's help in resolving this matter.

I had it on my arm and bumped it and set it off, then I pinned it on my waistband, bent over the washer and set it off, third time hit the monitor. Was ready to send it back. Took the elastic off, put a small ribbon on and now pin it to my bra strap and tuck the button into the bra. Now it is available to both hands and is safely tucked away and can't be hit accidentally. Would be nice if you came up with one that can go on the bra without a pin. Don't want it hanging around my neck and hated it on my arm.

My 91 year-old mother in Wisconsin lives alone, but when she falls, she cannot help herself. In the past she had laid on the floor for up to 36 hours at a time. We needed a solution that didn't involve full assisted living. Bay Alarm's wristband was that solution. Reasonably priced, the subscription service is always prompt to respond when summoned. My sister and I, along with my mother, have much greater peace of mind as she goes about her daily tasks.

We have been a customer since February 2013. We were happy with the service. Bay medical supplied a much needed service for my dad, but currently, they no longer meet his needs and we need to terminate our contract. They say there is no charge to cancel BUT read the fine print. We signed up for the annual plan February 2013. In February 2014, we were charged for another full year. When conditions changed for my dad, we attempted to cancel and get a refund but were told they do not give refunds. This was only 5 days after we were charged for 2014. They are not willing to compromise or discuss any type of refund. This is robbery. I cannot recommend this company because of this. This is unethical business conduct.

Our experience with Bay Alarm Company has been 5 star. From the beginning my telephone experience was stellar. I had the pleasure of speaking with a very knowledgeable gentlemen who immediately asked for a phone number in case we were disconnected so that he could call me back and not have to repeat any part of the process. The price was the best on the market, and the follow through even better. Everything needed arrived via UPS with easy hook up instructions followed by a phone call from my original contact to ensure that everything went well. One of the problems we had with our previous provider was as much as 7 minutes response time when the emergency button was pushed. Our longest wait time with Bay was 23 seconds. Great job. We highly recommend Bay.

We had a bumpy start when setting up his service. It was on our end though as our household had gone totally digital. We had to have a phone line installed to be able to use the equipment. I assume the price of good digital systems will come down and their quality will increase soon to keep up with technology advances. The staff was fairly helpful under the circumstances. They were friendly and patient... We took awhile to get our end in order due to my parents both being ill and my father going into the hospital at the time I initiated the purchase. I am relieved to have the alarm system in place now.

I ordered their medical alert system in 12/13. It took several weeks longer to reach me then they had said it would and it didn't work. After numerous calls to the "tech" center, it was agreed that they would replace it. This system has not worked reliably and yesterday they called my 94 y/o father at 1 AM to inform him it wasn't working. I have called repeatedly about the unreliability of their system but predictably enough, the response has been unreliable. This is not a company or a system to use for any attempt to safe guard a vulnerable person.

As I mentioned in my previous review I was very upset that they refused to refund me the portion of the time that we did not use their services. They called me yesterday and apologized for misunderstanding. They said that they will refund the pro rated amount. They had A very quick response time.

When I contacted Bay Alarm Medical I called and asked them about their different programs such as monthly or 3 month or one year offer. The one year offer sounded more economical. But with respect to age of my mother (93 years) I asked the operator what happens if something happens to her or we do not need the service any more and she said it is no problem you can cancel the service and you will be refunded the prorated amount. After five or six month I returned the equipment and notified them that I do not need the service and waited for my refund. When I did not received anything from them I called and was notified the all sales are final. I said "but I was told otherwise." She said "sorry but that is how it is." I said "these systems are for old people that at any time they can leave this world. Why would I accept a one year contract when I know it can happen any day." They lied to me to get one year contract. I do not trust this company. Everyone should watch out for them.

I am appalled by the customer service department of the company. My father-in-law has been using the alarm and passed away on Christmas eve. I called today (1/5/14) about returning the equipment. I was informed by Kelly if the equipment was not at Bay medical office by 1/7, I would be responsible for the next quarters payment!? She also asked where I lived. Since it was only about 60 miles away I could drive over and deliver the equipment to avoid the charge. This is one of the most callous phones I have had to go through taking care of Irby's death.

I ordered an Alarm for my husband in May 2013. He died in June 2013 without ever using it. My son passed away shortly thereafter. In the ensuing maze of grief and paperwork I completely forgot to send back the alarm system until 9/3/2013. Now you're trying to ruin my credit by sending a "past due" bill to a collection agency. I returned the system, however late, unused, in perfect condition. I find it hard to understand a business devoted to helping, being so mercenary..

Recently, my Father had fallen and I ran to help him and slipped on the floor dislocating my shoulder. I immediately pushed the Bay Alarm button and were contacted within less than a minute. Help arrived within 5 minutes and before we knew it, we were both in the ER getting x-rays. The police and paramedics responded quickly and I highly recommend this service to anyone.

Overall, I am pleased with the communications from your staff notifying me if there is a power outage, etc. however, when Mom used the button, and actually had an emergency, I am confused why police and the ambulance were called, but not "First Responders". The fire department would have been there in 5 minutes, versus 20 minutes for the ambulance because they dispatch from one location in town, which happens to be all the way on the other side of town.
I would think if someone pushed the button, and you could not communicate with them through the base unit, this would be serious enough to warrant sending first responders who can radio for an ambulance if needed. Granted, she slipped, and could not get her feet under her, but I was halfway across town and beat both the police and the ambulance to her house! I would think the button being pushed and lack of response to the center trying to speak through the base unit would warrant a more urgent dispatch. Had this been a serious medical emergency, she would have had to wait a long time for help to arrive if I could not have gotten there. Am I missing something here?

Bay Alarm does make you sign a lengthy agreement. Also, they state the the consumer will not hold them liable; even if "they are negligent". Also, will not refund your money despite returning their equipment unused; and if they never provide you with service. Despite timely notice, they will continue to bill you repeatedly; and overdraw your bank account. Predators against seniors and caretakers. Reporting them to BBB and Consumer Affairs in California. Buyer beware!!!

Bay Medical Alarm contacted me and we discussed the policy on refunds. They said my situation was unusual because the death of my wife was so close to when I signed up. They are going to refund the two of the three months money that I had sent them. I also suggested they try to make that policy more clear because I'm not the only person that has complained about it. Ordered a medical alarm system for my wife from Bay Medical Alarm on 10/22/13. My wife passed away on 11/02/13. Paid in advance for 3 months service. Returned all equipment on 11/15/13. Asked for a refund for services not used for 2 months and was told they do not refund any money paid no matter how long you paid ahead for service. I said, "You mean if I had paid for 1 year in advance and my loved one passes away after 1 month, you wouldn't return ANY money?" They said "That's right, we do not refund any money no matter what." So if you choose Bay Medical, I advise to never pay more than 1 month in advance or you won't get it back!

Hello, Bay Alarm - consider this note confidential. My mom does not wear her alarm button; and therefore, she makes this service a waste of money. She goes outside a lot, and this worries us. We have asked her to do so, but I believe our 87-year-old needs some prodding or reminder from a Bay Alarm professional of the danger this poses to her well-being. Maybe tell her a true story. She forgets about it, and has been diagnosed with onset of Alzheimer's. Can you call her a few times a year and remind her of the importance of doing so?

We have had the service for a year, and at year end we wanted to discontinue service. We called and found out that in order to cancel we needed to send the equipment back. Which we did. Thinking everything was fine we were surprised to get a bill that showed we still owed for another entire year of service. I called and told the customer service person the story. She said that because we didn't return it before the due date starting the next year we still owed for the entire year. I asked to.talk to a supervisor or manager and was told there wasn't one there. Strange! I do not want to pay for something that I don't even have the equipment for anymore.

Several weeks ago I asked for a representative to call me. The representative called me at an inconvenient time and I requested he call me back the next day in the morning. He said he would. I am still waiting for a call back. Should I still consider using your company if this is typical of service? For starters, my Mother used Bay Alarm Medical for 1 year and they could never get the emergency contact sequence correct (Always calling the wrong person). After having the device hooked to the phone for a year we elected to get my Mother 24 hr in home care and had no more use for the device. Realizing that they had auto billed her for another year I immediately sent the device back to Bay Alarm. From there, I called to have a credit issued and was told it would be taken care of. After a few weeks of waiting no credit took place. I called again and was told that they don't issue credits. They could care less about the people they claim to help and seem to enjoy robbing the elderly!!!!!!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!!!

I have to admit am pleasantly surprised this has been favorably resolved. Per the company's response to my complaint, I returned the equipment on 27 Dec 2013 (prior to the 10 Jan 2014 deadline), and after calling on 21 Jan to question where my refund was, received a check today ( 27 Jan 2014) for the balance of the year minus one month as promised. I do hope the service agreement information plans are changed to reflect the pros and cons of the payment methods available. Knowing what I know now the "monthly" rate may cost more up front but is a no-brainer if suddenly you no longer need the services for whatever reason.

My mother lives in an independent living facility that just contracted with a company to provide medical alert services to the building and its residents at a similar cost to Bay Medical but with added features - coverage in the entire building (not just her apt), GPS, and fall detection. While I had been happy with Bay Medical my mother does not like the volume on the call box (she has a studio apt) and can hardly understand what the person is saying. Because of that she is and has been uncomfortable with the system. Between that and the new system the building is installing I thought it would be desirable to switch to the new one.
When I called to cancel the service I was informed that the payment (1 yr) had just been processed two days prior to my phone call, they don't have the returned equipment, and by the way is un- refundable. My impression of no contract means I can cancel any time as long as I return the equipment in working order. I was told the agreement is very clear and says that I would have to cancel and return the equipment BEFORE the 1 yr anniversary date of the signed agreement and there is NO refund as the 2nd yr has already been charged. I expected that I would have to pay for the month that just started but not for 11 more mos if I don't want the service and return the equipment in good working order. I was told it's very clear. I went back and IT'S NOT VERY CLEAR what it really means. I thought all the mumbo jumbo in the paperwork was more to protect Bay Medical from liability lawsuits due to possible slow response times or lack of response as well as them worrying about getting their equipment back from people who cancel service not because I chose to pay for a year in advance on a "no contract" plan that would result in not getting my mother's money back. I never read it that way.
I asked "what if my mother died tomorrow?" the answer was the same - no refund...it's yours for the billed year. In effect you cannot really cancel the service at any time. No, you must let Bay Medical know you intend to cancel BEFORE they charge your credit card but once they charge it for anything - month, quarter, year - you got it. I NEVER would have signed up for a plan like that for an 86 yr old. I thought that the decrease in monthly payment amount was like car insurance - if you pay all at once you get a break. If you then cancel the car insurance you get a pro-rated portion back. The no refund part was NOT explained and to me is NOT clear in the paperwork when I opted for the yearly payment plan to simplify paying my mother's bills for her.
Bay Medical needs to make it clear that there is a draw back to paying ahead (quarterly or yearly). That there is no refund of any kind - even 11 mos worth even when you return the equipment in good working order. You are stuck even if you are canceling service because the person you were protecting dies!!! That's NOT in keeping with the notion of no contract, no activation fees, no installation charges etc...the agreement/payment plans are misleading and in my humble opinion a SCAM and a RIP OFF. It is not the way most services I have ever dealt with work and I argue that most people would not realize the adverse effect of no refund as a result of paying in advance. Who in their right mind would pay for a year in advance for an elderly person if they knew this scam upfront? Consequences: No refund - I'm stuck with a system my mother does not want or need. I believe this is a scam and a rip off and am writing this in hopes of alerting others to not fall for this.

It is easy to wear without being so obvious or get in the way of my activities. I inadvertently set it off by carrying something close to my chest. I received a phone call from Bay Alarm and explained what happened and they understood completely.

Was contacted by Bay Alarm Medical and although they would not refund the payments they have been taking since July they did refund one payment and are sending me a return receipt for the equipment. Although this is not the full action I think should be taken they have sought to resolve this matter and I am calling it resolved. You are all a bunch of swindlers. My poor mother is getting charged monthly for a service that you do not even have hooked up for her. I ordered the system and then the senior citizen agency ordered their own and when I tried to get a return receipt from you because we cannot afford to pay the postage you would not help me. So you are billing my mother’s bank account and have overdrawn her a couple times for services you are not supplying. I have called three times and no one will help me return this equipment and I was told I would be charged until I returned the equipment. HOW are you charging here when you have never activated nor are you monitoring her in anyway? In fact you don't have her address or phone number. My phone number is **. I signed my father-in-law up for the service as he had fallen several times and his wife was in and out of the hospital so he was alone quite a bit. He never needed it when he was alone. My mother-in-law came home from the hospital and we got her a button too! They never took the wrist bands off! Sadly my father-in-law collapsed in October and knocked my mother-in-law down when she was trying to help him. She pushed her button and did not receive a response, she then pushed her husband's button and got no response!
After a time, she managed to get to a phone and call 911 herself all the while her husband was laying unconscious. Sadly he passed away. We have canceled our service! It is a false sense of security and when you need it - it doesn't work! I am waiting to see if they stop the service as we requested.

To ensure that our equipment is in complete operable condition, Bay Alarm Medical inspects and tests each alert unit before shipping it out to our customer.
We researched the activity on your in-laws’ account and our records indicate that their system was in proper working order from the time it was installed in August of this year until it was cancelled in November. Their system sent in normal weekly test timers and Mr. and Mrs. Hickerson were able to connect to our emergency dispatchers successfully on multiple occasions.
It is important to note that if the button is pressed once, it will initiate an emergency call to our facility. If it is pressed a second time while the system is trying to transmit a signal, this will cancel the emergency call that is being placed. This feature allows you to cancel a false alarm.
On October 18, Mr. and Mrs. Hickerson’s system sent a signal to alert our facility of a power loss. Our emergency dispatchers immediately called the home to check on them and were told that Mr. and Mrs. Hickerson planned on unplugging the medical alert for an unspecified period. This would mean that the unit would not be able to send us a signal, even in the event of an emergency. We received a standard test signal from the system on October 26, letting us know that it was plugged back in.
If the emergency button was pressed during the time that the system was unplugged, our facility would not have received a signal.
The medical alert device was received at our office on November 25, 2013. The account is now closed and no further billing will occur. The service has been ended, per your request.

I hope I never need help from Bay Alarm Medical but if I do, it's nice to know they're there. Didn't expect to need their service (who does) but I'm mildly disabled with MS. While this is not good, it is not yet a problem. What is a problem is having a massive heart attack, needing to be resuscitated in the ambulance a few blocks from home en route to the hospital 30 miles away and waking up three months later in a nursing home. Didn't feel safe about going home without some program like Bay Alarm Medical. This is when I realized I'd need help.
There was no hard sell techniques. And they had the best price around. They gave me a choice of a necklace or bracelet type button along with the desk monitor. The only way anyone would know I have this is the big red HELP on the desk button. They are very unobtrusive but I know they're there because I had some painters here and had to disconnect the monitor briefly. In a matter of minutes I received a call from Bay Alarm Medical to make sure I was alright.

This is a brand new system for me. It is much smaller and lighter than the previous one I had. The wrist strap was far too long. We ended up trimming it and attaching a Velcro closure, which you might want to consider in the future.

My Mom fell about 1:00 am. My brother had heard her and helped her on back to bed and she assured him she was fine so he went on to bed. After she laid in bed and realized she needed medical help, she pressed her Bay Medical Alarm and it started beeping and alerted my brother. He was able to get to her and assist in asking for an ambulance to get her to the hospital. Bay Medical promptly called me and my other siblings and let us know what was going on. I would recommend this to anyone with aged parents, or to anyone who is in danger of needing medical assistance. Very happy with their services.

Since discharge from the Acute hospital in October and fearfulness of a recurrence of the accident, I have found the Bay Alarm pendant to be a great reassurance allowing me to regain my freedom without fear. After much research, I got the Bay Alarm Medical alert system for my 86-year-old dad, who recently had triple bypass surgery, as well as other health issues. He also has episodes of dizziness and has actually had to crawl on the floor to reach the phone to call 911. My dad is very precious to me. He wants to remain living on his own as long as possible, but I work for a hospice, so I'm not always in the area when he needs help.
I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have peace of mind knowing that he will be able to get help if he needs it. I wanted this alarm system because of its excellent range. My dad needs to walk every day as a part of his bypass recovery, and he can now do that around his cul-de-sac while wearing the alert bracelet. If something should happen to him outside he will be able to summon help. I'm so glad he is protected by Bay Alarm Medical.

After much research on medical alert systems, I recommended Bay Alarm Medical to my mom-in-law who lives by herself. I was initially sold on this system for the 1,000 ft range from the base and the feedback regarding their customer service. During the initial set up, I was most impressed with the polite yet warm response from the customer service representative during the testing phase.
