All my sites have been down for nearly 4 days, no end in sight. All my email addresses with work sites and family members all down! I email them twice, call them but no one answers and no one replies. What a joke of a service. Terrible!!!! Used to have GoDaddy and thought they were the worst, I guess I have been proven wrong.

To be honest, I trust the online sources to choose my Windows hosting provider. The result was tempting! Many websites recommended the A2 Hostings as a high speed and reliable host. I choose most expensive package (TURBO) and migrate. Results: Low speed. Not satisfied with Support team. They don't update SSL on time and you need to warn them and NOW my website is down for 5 days and what I hear from them is, "THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE!" I, plus other users have no idea how long should we wait or what is going to be happen. I Lost my trust to ranking websites as well. So sad. Vahid.

I purchased A2 Hosting just 3 days back. Ever since the hosting has not become active. It is always showing status as pending. There is no reply to any support ticket, and there is no information what is going on. This is a long wait, and there is no idea when this issue will be resolved.

Two and a half days and still down. It is clear that they don't have qualified personnel for the jobs (plural). No redundancy, no DRP, on top of that they charge you for years in advance. I am wondering how many lawsuits this incident will trigger.

I am in IT and I cannot imagine someone more terrible than A2 Hosting support. They have no clue. My webstore site is down for 3 days and what they do they send emails thanking me for the patience. Well who is going to pay for the loss? And what should I tell my customers? I recently moved to A2 Hosting, about 2 months ago and paid for three years. A big mistake. I wish I can cancel my contract. I do not recommend going with this provider. It is terrible.

It is now 4/25/2019, 10:15 PST. My two websites went down sometime around Midnight on 4/23/2019. It has been almost 60 hours. There is no ETA and no word of compensation. They are totally incompetent. They just keep thanking me for my patience, which was gone long ago and they know it. Do NOT depend on them for any website that generates your income. If you are currently with them I would recommend moving. I have been a customer for 40 days and it's already clear what the future will be like. 3rd day and Windows servers are down because of malware attack (as they said), websites, emails, eshops are down and they can't provide us with backup copies. They don't answer tickets and they just send us emails with messages like "we do our best"!!! I'm 25 years in IT and I'm never seen or hear something like that. They almost destroy our company, our customers are very angry and they demand from us their loss. Be careful. They are dangerous.

I moved to A2 Hosting because it was not owned by EIG but following their footsteps, they are making their customers run away. 1. A lot of malware, hackings on their servers for websites that I have hosted. 2. Latest, they have multiple Windows server crashed and it is more than 24 hours and they don't have a solution. 3. They previously had issues in their Singapore servers for very long. It is causing us massive business, they should reimburse $10000 to us. Their support is so bad, worst. Don't know what extreme word can be said about it. This is an honest feedback from a loyal customer. I am now looking for another web host.

They are claiming that they have multiple Windows server crash but they have no idea when it will be fixed!!! Can you believe this. They don’t even have disaster plan to give us back our files???? I have a cloud based SW which sold to my customers and all of SW are down and they can’t use it. Very frustrated with service and product. Very frustrated from the way they handle the issue. I have been dealing with hosting companies for a very long time, 18 years but never was disappointed as much as I am now. Issues with A2 Hosting started after half year of hosting. Tickets are not answered in timely fashion. In best case within a day or two and when they do answer, the technical issues are never resolved as expected. Currently all my websites are down for almost two days because of Multiple Windows servers issues that their technical staff unable to fix. They don't answer any of my tickets and I am unable to get backup of my websites. My online business is dead. Thanks to the best hosting company as they call themselves. My advice is to keep away from them!!!

One big issue is the lack of SQL server database management. I can see there's an option for managing a MySQL database, but I can't do anything with the SQL databases I'm using. If I want to work on them, I need to download everything, perform manual changes on my computer, then re-upload. This is a highly inefficient form of database management!
Another small but growing issue is today (24th April 2019) the entire shared hosting service has been down for 24 hours and counting. I have 5 websites ALL inaccessible, one of which leaves a very ugly error messages to any user who tries to access it. I can't do anything to fix this. So much for their 99.9% up-time guarantee! Still waiting for a fix as I type this. 24 hours of absolutely no websites functioning, and counting.

Error code 126 - OBDC Driver 17 - I contacted them by email. They replied to me in a matter of a few minutes. After less than two hours it was working again. They also sent me an email mentioning their resolution. All the issues I had until now, they were always available to help me and they really fixed the issues. Fast and effective. It's solved.

Been with A2 for about 18 months and recently support has gone to crap. Open tickets not being responded to, even after requesting updated info. Not able to back up my VPS - requested restore of emails from a two days ago - and they are unable to. Moved to InMotion hosting - way better. Great support and documentation.

For more than a week, the A2 server hosting my site is down. A satisfied customer for many years, I suddenly have to complain about an extremely poor service, due to server issues that remain unresolved: 3 chats without feedback, 2 tickets without feedback, 2 email addresses not working anymore. WordPress page cannot be updated: "server error". N° 20 in the queue for 30 minutes now. Can you afford this kind of trouble?

32 Years in the Business and this was awesome. I enjoyed my migration, the sales guy gave me the heads up on possible issues; I had one and it was resolved immediately. Excellent customer service and support. I've been publishing since 1987 on a 1200 baud modem, take it from an old guy, this is an excellent vendor. Call them... they actually answer the phone and speak American English.

I've been with A2 since 2016 and I was really happy with them most of the time. No big issues. But not sure what happened in the last couple of weeks, but their customer support is not replying anymore, my website is down for over a week with no reaction. 1h+ waiting time on the phone, when you finally reach them they promise to call you back in 2-3 hours, but they never do, chat has to escalate the ticket, but nothing happens. Really not sure what to do. Maybe they grew so much that they cannot handle the number of clients anymore. Well, they found a way ho to lose them. I am writing this review the day after the server I am on was down for the best part of three days ending 04/01/2019. After reading what customers were ** about losing thousands of dollars, going to switch hosting companies, blah blah blah. As if A2 Hosting took down the server on purpose. Many of the hosting names mentioned to switch to most all were own by the same company.
I also experienced the same losses as others on this server instead I really appreciate all the hard work long hours put in getting my website back up running 100% with no loss. The other thing I really appreciate is their friendly telephone tech support going the extra mile in helping figure out some weird problem with ZenCart etc. that is not really their job. The other hosting companies I have been with you don't get this kind of caring service. All I got to say is A2 Hosting I am not planning on going anywhere. I will stay with you as long as you keep up the excellent service that you have been providing me for many years now.

I absolutely loved A2 Hosting until March 2019. Their recent upgrade has seriously impacted my several webpages, email, FTP, etc. I continue to receive the following message simply by surfing to one of my websites. "The firewall on this server is blocking your connection. The hostname of this server is: a2ss43.a2hosting.com". I have to enter a reCaptcha process five to ten times in order to gain access. My email is also not connecting at times, and I cannot even access the server via FTP.
Repeated support contact with them have provided no solution, other than "they increased security". I'm told recently there is an email program on one of the devices in my home that has a wrong password. Somehow, that is creating the problem. I've checked all devices and made corrections as necessary, yet still cannot get to my webpages without the stupid server blocking thing. I understand that upgrades can cause problems at times. I understand security is important too. But don't tell me there is nothing I can do and I have to just stop using my webpages! Prior to this, A2 Hosting was the best! I hope they manage their way properly through this crisis or I will be seeking a new hosting company by the end of the week. Dart **.

Our visitors began seeing a "not secure" tag when they visited our website. We put in an order ticket to verify that our SSL was current. This was verified within three hours. By the next day, the "not secure" problem had been solved. A quick, effective response. I think I've been a customer of A2 Hosting for over 10 years now. I first started out hosting one site, then switched to a re-seller account, and have purchased multiple domains through A2. I encourage everyone looking to start a site to go to A2. Unfortunately, none of them bother to use the affiliate link I provide for them. I don't know whether it's inconvenient to find where to put the code, or if they're just not interested.
A2 is overall a very good host. I have not found anyone better. Their troubleshooting department is very good. I've been most satisfied with the troubleshooting crew when I call at very late hours (I'm located in the United States). They have been able to quickly assess any problems with my site and help me fix them quickly. I prefer to call at night as opposed to submitting an online ticket, because online ticketing seems to be a lot slower (though I always receive a reply within 24 hours).
I only have two issues with A2. One was a security breach that must have taken place over the phone. One of my old employees wanted me to give him a site, and before I gave him approval on anything, he called into A2 and separated that domain and hosting from my reseller account without my permission. The A2 rep I spoke to said he must have given them my father's middle name, but honestly, I don't know how he would have given that correctly as it's a very unusual name, and I have not seen it available anywhere online. This person also knows very, very little about me personally, so I feel it was probably a breach on A2's part. It happens and wasn't such a huge deal, so I just let it go.
The other issue is cost. I'm sure I've spent many thousands with A2 over the years, and when the server I was on got very old, slow, and was having outages, I was told I'd need to switch serves. Unfortunately, this came at an additional cost, when I feel the cost should have remained the same. I think A2 should honor very loyal, longtime customers by being able to lock in reasonable rates. I currently feel I'm paying too much. I'm not really working on sites anymore, and only have a couple on my account that need zero maintenance, so I just feel like it's a lot of money. Other than those two things, I've been very satisfied with the company. Thank you.

I was with A2 Hosting for 12 months, the majority of the time their hosting service was stable. Several tickets has to be raised concerning hosting speed, which eventually were resolved. Towards the end I found their service level and customer support unacceptable. Days to answer tickets, which were eventually answered without the issue being resolved. Hosting and email was down for a week, but the issue was 'out of their hands' as my hosting was 'Not on one of their servers' and reliant on a third party to resolve the issue. Yes, they are re-sellers not complete providers. Their marketing is good, but shop around before believing what you read.

I have been with A2 for 2.5 years. They were great for the first year or so but have been sliding down in the past year. My VPS server has had a plethora of issues and they refuse to acknowledge any trouble. In addition to server errors, their once responsive support services are really terrible. There is always a long wait on Live Chat, Support tickets take 2-3 days to get to and it seems they always have questions with the answer typically covered in the original request. I try to provide detailed info in my tickets and upon hitting submit the ticket vanishes. It's frustrating enough to have a lot of problems without losing my request for support. I'm not sure where to turn or who to trust if I decide to leave as I have used many hosts in the past 20 years. They all seem to be unreliable in one way or another.

Updated on 03/02/2019: After five days of inaccessible osCommerce installation I with no signs of A2 support doing anything except asking to specify the problem again and again I moved my site to another host where I have it run flawlessly. The problem with A2 was their server upgrade which ruined my working site and their inability to tell me about the changes. Their response time to tickets was over 12 hours on average, while my new host has ticket response times of less than 20 minutes. I'm sorry I had to leave this once great host.
Original Review: After their server update on February 17th my E-Commerce app stopped working (Error 500), I issued a ticket but so far no solution except trying to shift the blame on my app. I'm going to move to another host soon.

I switched to A2 Hosting after researching hosting companies online and seeing several recommendations for them based on speed and service. As a growing nonprofit I needed the support. But in my experience, they fail. I have never been able to reach support via their chat. It's always offline or has an extended wait. If you call, there is a wait time of over an hour. And when you do finally get to speak to someone they just file a ticket, they don't actually work to resolve the issue immediately. This is unacceptable.
Additionally I have had issues with email security. Twice in the past month I have received emails that say I have been hacked and threaten me if I don't pay someone online via Bitcoin. One appeared to come from a business contact, the other seemed to be sent from myself. I have changed the password, have a 50 character password created by 1Password, and this is STILL happening. So the issue is clearly a matter of A2 not securing the accounts properly. I contacted A2 about this the first time and didn't get much of a response to the ticket. I just tried to contact them about this issue again and couldn't reach anyone because of the backup on support. How am I receiving the service I pay for?

This is my first time writing a review about an experience with any company. I transferred to A2 Hosting because I had a growing membership site and needed additional speed. During this time I have experienced very little of what was advertised. Additionally, I have even upgraded my service and instead of getting better it appears to be getting worst.
This downtime has cost me at least two thousand dollars in revenue which I am sure I will not be compensated when it is time to pay my $300 bill from these people. DOWNTIME COST MONEY! I am so turned off by the service I am either going back to Hostgator or looking at Bluehost. One thing I can say about Hostgator is that their customer service was always exceptional.

Our websites encountered malware attack a week ago, and engaged their Sucuri Clean Up to restore the page, it has been a week and the issues have yet to be resolved. Despite our several chasers, still they are so reluctant and slow in update and reply... Can somebody help to look into this matter?

We have been with A2 hosting since several year and it's now the lack of service been very very negative and bad and pathetic response from customer services and not provided any reason for why? Updated on 02/07/2019: I have been dealing with the A2 Hosting support for a few days now and haven't gotten anywhere. My VPS constantly has issues and now it's down. I just setup a new client and launched a new site so my client is freaking out about why the site is not up. I contact support and can't get anyone to respond! I have tried to contact their support via phone and after 25 minutes of waiting I gave up. I am going to drop A2, they are the most incompetent web host I have ever dealt with. A2 is a joke!
Original Review: I have been with A2 Hosting for a little over a month now and have begun to set up a few sites. First off, the Plesk installation is not setup correctly. When you setup a site, it adds site files to a directory, but no index landing page. Second, the VPS is extremely slow. Just trying to move a file or window takes an extremely long time and is very frustrating when you are trying to get something done. It takes over 30 seconds just to open Internet Explorer.
I have not touched this server since it was setup, so I would think I would not have any issues. And support? What support? When and if you are ever able to chat with a support person they say they need to create a ticket. Thanks for wasting an hour of my time just to be told I need to create a ticket for which the response time is hours later, in my case 3 hours later!!! Then, when you try to view the ticket through your account page, the A2 Hosting site keeps throwing a 524 error. Error 524 Ray ID: ** • 2019-02-06 15:06:43 UTC. A timeout occurred.
I have servers set up with other companies and by far, A2 Hosting is the worst and the slowest. On top of all the issues, I am paying for "Turbo boost". I would hate to see what this server is like without it. I asked the support person if they recommended reputable host and they said I should look into AWS or Microsoft Azure. Point taken.

This is a great service until you have a problem. There is no phone support (meaning they never answer and they have possibly the worst music ever by the way that just goes over and over). It's been 24 hours since my issue has put pop ups on all our iPhones every minute once every 10 seconds for every e-mail account on the phone and I've had no meaningful solution even hinted at.

I've been waiting for Custom NS for 18 hours. They're late for the tickets. Online support says, "We have updated the ticket". Another firm updates 10 min NS. How difficult it can be NS update. I cannot get any answers.

A2 Hosting has a very unfair way between the promises on the website and what you actually get. Their “ALL UNLIMITED” hosting is very limited, even than much cheaper other hosting servers. The worst and slowest support ever. Tickets are assigned only with date, WITHOUT hours and minute. Here is my experience in details. I opened a shared account with A2 Hosting ("SWIFT") which is one in the higher range of shared hosting. I transferred 4 small static websites from my ex-hosting and tried fifth. I couldn’t install the fifth one and spent the half day trying different ways. And then I wrote the first ticket. I WAS WAITING 10 HOURS ON RESPONSE which doesn’t explain me what to do: “We're seeing the Akeeba restore Kickstarters triggering the Disk IO Faults on the account. We have a limit of 2.4MB's Transfer rate on disk and the app is exceeding this.” I replied with a question what to do and wait again 10 hours.
I checked in the knowledge base about IO transfer speed 2.4mb’s, asked other hosting services and got answers that are “ridiculous”. Then I escalate this ticket in the sales department and finally got this answer that it was kind of error and they are not able to investigate further. They explained me with a sorry that sometimes it can be caused by running multiple services on the same account, as all of the sites there share the same resources limit. Now they show me exit door without clear explanation what is wrong. Disk size of all my websites were around 500MB. Sooo, that means their ALL unlimited service is, in fact, most limited-service I’ve ever used. For me, it is cheating on a low level. I spent almost two frustrating days for nothing. It is luck that I discovered so early and still have my websites on the old server. The third day I cancelled the account.
I'm sorry to see you experienced some frustration while using our services. Our shared plans are container based with various limits in place to increase the stability of the server. The limits we have usually do not cause issues for normal site operation and are satisfactory for the majority of websites. Single accounts do have an overall limit though which can be reached from the total usage of all the domains you add. Generally a reseller account is better for managing multiple domains, which I can see our staff recommended for you.

I needed a new web hosting provider and my IT personnel suggested A2. I've been using A2 for eight years and it's wonderful. They're responsive, answer my questions and go out of their way to help. However, their tier-level structure can be difficult sometimes. I usually don’t call unless I needed them to help and I have to go through a few tiers before I would verbally get advanced help. But if I submit a ticket, they respond to that accurately within the day. It's a different business that they're in so I understand the situation. If I didn’t, I might be frustrated. I also understand the world that we live in currently and it's difficult to address it all expediently.

I needed web hosting, and I was originally with GoDaddy. I needed newer versions of software, and at the time, A2 Hosting was one of the providers that had the most up-to-date software for the class of service I was looking for. A2 Hosting is much more personal than GoDaddy. But I wish that I would be upsold. When they do an update and another server becomes available, it would be nice if they would inform me. For example, they had come out with a newer version of PHP on different servers and there's no notice that migration was possible. Nevertheless, my experience with the A2 Hosting reps has been excellent. They have been willing to answer any of my questions.

I fired A2 Hosting for poor service after being a customer of theirs for 55 months. The reason I quit using A2. I received email notification on 10-16 that my email service was suspended due to a large volume of spam mail. Our company email account got hacked. I contacted A2 support when I received the notification. Support told me to clear out the fake emails, change the password, and they would remove the suspension. I did as they requested. I received confirmation they would lift the suspension. The next morning I didn't check my email because I was with a client. I get a call from my office tell me our email wasn’t working. My office has multiple (6-8) phone and email conversations with the A2 support team. They promised they would resolve the problem.
My office had to follow up numerous times because they weren’t honoring their commitment to fix our problem. I arrived back in the office on the morning of Oct 18th to discover our emails were still not working. I called and left a voicemail for the CEO, Bryan Muthig. Bryan did not return my call, but our email was working within an hour. There is a lack of consistent service at A2 because of the lack of ownership on some of the people on the support team; due to lack of training or really don’t care about the customer. I’ve had poor service experiences with their support team in the past, but I wasn't willing to take the time or make the investment to switch to another provider. This experience was the last straw. It cost my company time, money and the reputation with clients when we weren’t responding promptly. I have fired A2 because of poor service.

I own a web development company, so we build lots of sites for different clients. I have gone through a number of different hosting providers over the years and things change, requirements change, and technology changes. I initially tried A2 out just to see how it was but I ended up choosing them because I felt that they were approachable and they’re kind of local in a way. And when I call, I get a person and I know who I'm talking to.
I moved everything to A2 because of the quality of the hosting and the speed of the servers. The service support that they offer was really what kind of turned me. The product had to be good, but inevitably, there are problems and so I need to be able to reach out and talk to someone. I’ve known a number of their guys over the years. I used to work with one guy who's not there anymore and I really loved working with him. I have a lot of different clients I’ve hosted on their servers and I have several accounts with A2. I have a dedicated server and I have a BPS. When you have as much contact as I’ve had in the past, you just get to know people because you spend a lot of time on the phone with them.
The other thing that I always liked about working with the team was the tier 1 support that I worked with for the first couple of years, even late last year. They would help you solve problems that weren’t within the scope of maybe what they’re supposed to do. They would help me work through the WordPress issues that constantly come up. Whereas now, when I call, I get maybe some information about the problem and it’s more like, "Well, you need to go do this," instead of helping me get it done. It’s not my helpful neighbor anymore. When I’m in a client facing business, where I’m managing 65 websites for clients and some thing has come up out of the blue, I’m looking to solve the problem. It’s usually an emergency for somebody. But that being said, reliability seems to be steady. And the pain of switching is high, so I’m captive up to a point.
I’ve come close to leaving A2 in the last couple of years. I’ve had some concerns over their product reliability at this point to the extent that they had some serious issues over the last year with the power outage of the data centers. They don’t own their data centers, not even within their control, but nevertheless. They had two power outage situations that I can recall in the last year that shut everything down including the ability to contact them. That was not a good situation. But I met with one of their reps and I had a heart-to-heart with him a little bit about it. Since then, things really seemed to be reliable.
The support has migrated and they’ve had some change in personnel. So, that turnover makes me think a little bit about that because an important aspect of my relationship with A2 that has changed a little bit was the personal relationship. That was the value because everything could be going to crap, but if you got the people there that kinda walk you through it and talk about it, and ensure you can keep up with it, following up with things going on, then that makes up for a lot of crap. But I don’t feel like I have that anymore with them. I am testing other companies right now. It’s not about leaving A2, but it’s about diversifying my server base.
Other than that, I always recommend A2, but it depends on who for. Given my experience the last year, if you’ve got an enterprise level solution that can’t afford any hiccups, I’d have to think about that a little bit. But if it’s just a normal business website that if it goes down for an hour or two in the middle of the night and not matter, that’s fine.

I’ve hosted many sites myself and I was looking to do a dedicated server so that I could put them all in one server and consolidate some of my spending so, I switched to A2. It has been three years since I created the account and I kinda got out of that industry and did something completely different. However, I have a few legacy accounts that I still manage and I'm kinda phasing them out. I got a few email support questions and A2 Hosting have always been quick to respond. I have recommended them to a co-worker of mine.

Proving very difficult to deal with. Last year a friend recommended this company for our web hosting. We had to stay with GoDaddy because it became so complicated to the point our web site went down. So I canceled the contract with A2 HOSTING and they after taking out charges out gave us a refund. THANK YOU. This year they inform me that my year is up I need to pay again. After many EMAILS to A2 Hosting saying I cancelled last year and warning them not to charge my card many times, yes they charged me, now a lengthy procedure to try and gain my funds back for sure. It's not the money that's important to me. It's the principle that after telling A2 Hosting I did not want their services anymore with plenty of warning they still took my money. I will not deal with them again just to let everyone know.

I tried about a dozen different hosting companies and I had a problem with each one of them. Bluehost had a bad router and I was having to call them multiple times per day. I would tell their tech support to reboot the darn thing because my websites would all go down. It was happening often enough that I knew exactly what the problem was but they weren't replacing it so I left. A2 was the first one where I didn't have a problem so I stuck with them. I have also recommended them multiple times. They seemed to fit my needs the best. I'm on a reseller package, the standard one, and at this point, I've been an A2 Hosting customer for quite a few years.
Generally, they've been responsive whenever I've had a question. I migrated about two years ago to an updated server. It was a seamless process but I had a few customers who are hosting through me that were going directly to the old servers. So we had to troubleshoot that and get them fixed. But that wasn't a problem on the A2 side and it wasn't too much of an issue.

I run a small website design and hosting business. We had gone through a really bad experience with HostGator when they had an outage at one of their data centers where our servers were located so we started looking around. My business partner at the time had either read an article on A2 Hosting or had some recommendation from someone so we checked deeper into it and it looked like a good program.
For the most part, A2 has been really good to work with. The only part that's been frustrating for me is we have had some outage events where it seemed to take a really long time to get support because of the breadth of impact of the outage or we were in line behind a bunch of people to get support. But the last time that happened was about two years ago and I haven't had any events occur since then. At the same time, I've also reduced the number of my clients that I have on my A2 Hosting account and I'm in the process of moving off of A2 Hosting. But overall, the people I've worked with had been very knowledgeable, very helpful, and supportive. They've also been very accommodating. So, if anybody is looking for general hosting services, I would definitely recommend A2 to them.

I had a web video site and a wedding site. I was kinda doing that on the side. I was working with GoDaddy initially and I was having issues with them. Then, I was trying to build a website and the company I was looking with to build my initial website was tied in with A2 Hosting and I ended up with them. With A2 Hosting, as far as the domains go, everything is fine. I haven't actually been using none of my domain names, but I don't wanna lose them because they're good.
The thing I like about A2 is I can navigate around pretty simply around their webpage. I understood more of what I was getting for. Also, A2 Hosting continues and keeps me updated when I'm gonna lose a domain. They follow up with emails and they gave like a 100 chances to say, "Okay, you must not want this." I really like that because a lot of times, I get a lot of junk mail and I don't get it or it'll go into spam and it would just move for whatever reason. And with GoDaddy, I would go into default and it was a pain in the butt. The only reason I have my domain names is because of A2's persistence.

Our web designer recommended A2 Hosting to us. We were unfamiliar with it so we took his lead. When we have concerns, we usually channel it through our webmaster because if we have an issue, he’ll be able to resolve the issue quicker speaking with their technical team. Aside from a credit card that was not expiring, we had a little glitch in the website where our software needed to be updated. Other than that, we also use A2 for our charity foundation's website. In closing, we had a smooth transition with A2 Hosting so we've stuck with them.

I wanted to set up a website that was independent of the university website, so I looked into web hosting providers. I did some research and selected an app that allowed me to make a relatively simple web page, and one of the suggested web providers of the company that I purchased that app through was A2 Hosting. I went with A2 and chose a basic package which was pretty much having my own web page.
When I first used A2, they were really useful because I was administering a couple of grants and their system allowed people to be able to access me very readily. It was much easier for both the students and the people that I was involved in, in the grants, to be able to access my information without having to go through the university system because the web page in my department is pathetic.
Afterwards, I started my own consulting company, so I was in the midst of redoing the web page recently. In order to be able to focus on that, I had a series of questions since I haven’t used A2 Hosting in a while. Their customer service people were fantastic and they answered my questions within 24 hours. I’m not a computer-savvy, techy person, so they were very good at providing information that I needed to set up the new web page and to configure it, and also to set up all of the things revolving around the new email.
Their system is user-friendly at the basic level, so I’m very appreciative of that. When you’re trying to go into all of the different kinds of applications that they support, it gets a little bit cumbersome, so I haven’t tried using some of the other applications that they support because it’s not very clear to me what works and what doesn’t. But for the purposes that I need, their system is absolutely fantastic and their customer support team is really helpful. I would definitely recommend A2 Hosting and I have already recommended them to other people.

A2 Hosting looked like a good deal at the time I was looking into web hosting providers and they were the best that I found. They were pretty good when I started but they're a little expensive and the interactions with their support team were never great but they weren't the worst. I've been using A2 for almost five years and if a friend asks about A2, I could give them better suggestions but if they prefer to be pampered, A2 is not a terrible option if they had a lot of money.

Thank you for your review! I noticed that you were using our Unmanaged VPS Hosting. As you know, you can actually set your own resources with this plan, that way it's a custom solution and you only pay for the resources you need.
Based on the size of the Unmanaged VPS you had, it looks like you could have had a Managed VPS. I'm not sure if you are aware, but we now offer Managed VPS Hosting with root access. That way you could have the benefits of a fully managed VPS as well as administrative level access to your server. That may be a better solution for you moving forward.

I've been using A2 for several years now. It was connected with sandbox and there was a simple connection between the two. A2 is better than my previous hosting provider in which if there was a problem, it was difficult getting my previous provider to respond properly. But with A2, I can send a request and they'll reply to it. I'd recommend them.

I needed a hosting solution for our blog and A2 Hosting came recommended. I have been using their basic hosting package for five years now, which costs $14 a month. A2 is very simple to use. The other hosting providers we’ve used have been more on a commercial scale, where we’re paying considerably more money but just for a starter hosting package. This was fairly famous. Also, the good news with A2 Hosting is I haven’t had to use their support. They’d done a plug and play and I had no issues. It’s a good thing when they’re kind of out of sight, out of mind.

A2 Hosting was recommended by a consultant to host a private email and a website, and I've been using it for about 10 years now. Their support team has been very good and pleasant. I'm impressed with their speed, accuracy and response. However, I spend a lot of time trying to keep hackers out of my sites and email hosting and the tools for that aren't as strong as they might be. But they're probably better than most providers. There is also a technical problem with Mac platforms. Trying to log in or failing to log in will get the account blocked. Also, this is the first year we've seen hard outages from them in over a decade. We ran one of their older platforms and we moved to whatever the newer one is. The old platform had downlevel software that wasn't fully secure and the machinery is getting old so they migrated us, which was fine. Still, they're a very reliable service on a technical level.

A friend of mine turned me out to A2 Hosting because they had a Moodle. And at that time, we were doing different things with different types of sites but we still utilize Moodle for different things. We have been with them for years now. We have a very large site and for the price, it does really well. They just upgraded us to the solid-state service. A2 Hosting had moved my site and the problem was we got a notification at about five o’clock.

I was in college setting up my first website and I needed a host. I was checking around then I found A2 Hosting and I went with them. I’ve been using them as my hosting provider since then and it has been 10 years now. I have the executive hosting where I have a primary domain and I have unlimited domains on any site that I add on. I’ve enjoyed the support that I’ve gotten from A2. It’s been great. As a student in college, I had a lot of questions about why isn’t my DNS routing and the kind of stuff and they’ve always been really accessible and helpful in answering all the questions that I’ve had over the phone.
It has been a few years since I got them on the horn but they’ve definitely been helpful every time I have to go back to them. They’re a great company and they’ve grown a lot in 10 years. I’ve recommended a bunch of friends of mine that have gone into coding and done boot camp stuff to A2 as it's good hosting. It's easy to set up and use.

I'm a computer guy and I host a number of web sites myself. I had been through six different web hosts, all with not so great of an experience. I found A2 Hosting based on their feedback. People were saying that they were great, so I thought I'd give them a try, and they've been fantastic over ten years. If there was a problem, they got out immediately and fixed it. They're right over here in Ann Arbor, which is not far from me, so their service has been working out for me. I’ve had interactions with their support reps once or twice a year, and they’ve always been good. I would recommend A2 Hosting.

I’ve used web hosting for years, probably even before the whole internet boom. A2 Hosting is in the same state as me, so their business is only about 45 minutes away. I support the small-medium businesses instead of the bigger ones like GoDaddy. And I work with a guy now that used to work for GoDaddy, so it's a small world. I had GoDaddy accounts too, and if I needed to install something, GoDaddy basically said, “Here’s your information. This is how you do it. Go do it." But I didn't know how.
With A2 Hosting, they will try to point you in that direction, but if you get a little stuck, they'll hop in there and do it for you. I've used A2 Hosting for other things, and anytime I had to deal with them from the support standpoint all the way to billing, they have been better than GoDaddy. A couple of years ago, A2 Hosting made improvements in terms of pricing but their customer service has always been great. If anyone ever asks me if they should go with GoDaddy or what kind of hosting provider, I will tell them to go to A2, a local company that I use, so they’re supporting American jobs.

I got an email from A2 Hosting that said we needed to remove our certificate but if we had global hosting, it would renew automatically. I thought it was great that it would renew automatically. But later, our website went down and it turned out that A2 automatically gave us a token that I had to go and download. So the communication wasn't clear enough and it really messed things up. That was frustrating. It was totally user-error on my part but I would've appreciated some acknowledgment from the hosting company that some people didn't know exactly what was going on. So they should be clearer about things like that, especially if it was something that would be pretty drastic.

I used the local ISPs before and I switched to A2 Hosting because their uptime and manage storage space were a lot better. At that time, bandwidth was a little more important to me. I still have the website but it's more of a hobby now and I could probably find a better deal for the limited bandwidth that I use these days. Still, I’d tell others that A2 Hosting is reliable and I haven’t had an issue with downtime with them.

We got A2 Hosting for our business domain and we've already started with them. They have terrible customer service and it's too hard to move our things around. We have email problems where our Outlook will automatically won’t work and it will ask for a password. And every time we ask the support team, we create a ticket and they reply with generic information. They're quick to respond to nothing. They may have tested and told us that they were not having the issue, but our computers are having issues. That’s something they have to fix internally.

I've been with A2 for five years and more. Their prices have gone down since the original and they've just been a reliable provider for me. They had a good price for me. Their reps are typically very friendly and once you get a live body, they talk to you and they're very knowledgeable. I've run into a couple of occasions wherein it was difficult to get a hold of them but for the most part, it doesn't take long. They've helped me every time I've needed it and they've resolved every issue I've had. I would point a friend to their direction.

I was out looking for someone to host various different sites that I have. The interactions I’ve had with the A2 Hosting team were not optimal. Once they recognize what's going on, they help. Otherwise, you send something to a black hole and you get no response. And when you start jumping up and down and calling them on the phone, then they respond. It seems like it's a three-man shop and I'm not happy at all. I continue to use A2 Hosting because it's more hassle than it is to change it but it's not good. They have had failures in various different areas and I am blacklisted because of spammers on the servers that I'm on. They've changed it several times. We've had to go to outside sources in order to be able to utilize email for certain accounts and I'm not pleased at all.
In fact, once I get the time to get off of them, I will be off of them like a rocket. They have to be responsive and care. Others should stay far away. A2 Hosting needs to improve a lot in order for them to be able to gain traction in the market. There's a whole lot of people out there that do it and I'll probably just go with Amazon Web Service and instead do it myself in the future.

We are a web design company and we didn't want to go with a super big guy where we'd have to submit a support ticket and wait three weeks for someone to reply from God-knows-where. One of my employees recommended A2 Hosting so we looked into their web hosting service. We started small then we started buying all these $200 a month packages. Then, we got the Platinum which came with a support system where they would talk on the phone with us right away. We also have all these custom VPS servers set up for us for specific projects. We used Totalchoice Hosting, Blue Host and about four kinds of comparable hosting companies and we felt that A2 Hosting was an upgrade at that point of time. This worked out with us and we're happy. At the moment, we have about 10 services with them with 200 websites.
Recently, we have a lot of government clients and we peddle our work with Amazon because they have these government security-compliant products. Now, everybody is a bit more concerned. So, from a business development standpoint, I would tell A2 Hosting to have a package that has all those security layers on it. Other than that, our experience with them has been great and we recommend them to everybody. For our clients that don't pay us to host their websites, we would send them a link to a package that they need to buy on A2 Hosting which is about $9 a month. We buy a bit more expensive things but the hosting is the only thing that we send to our clients. A2 Hosting has been great in meeting our demands, too. Occasionally, we require custom configuration of certain things or stuff that you cannot get on shared hosting but we know what we generally want and need on a per project basis and they always accommodate us.

I’m a web developer and it’s nice to have a public space where I can put things. I've maintained a web presence for a long time for consulting and I've tried several different companies over the years. There were others that were more and less expensive than A2. One of the things that attracted me about A2 was that the price point is good and their technology stack would let me do whatever I wanted to in terms of backend languages like SSH access to sites.
I have the basic shared hosting package that pretty much every vendor has out there has. You've got essentially unlimited space and you could host multiple domains, which I do. Then there’s shell and cPanel access. There’s a one-click install and it's for WordPress and other CMS stuff. They also support PHP which is crucial for me and Ruby. I’m not sure about node and I’m starting to get into that so I may have to double check on that or move to a virtual private host. But A2 has your basic stack and their customer service has been good so far.
I left a previous host because they contacted me about a site of mine that had some haywire process and was eating up a lot of bandwidth. They were really trying to punish me for having consumed some bandwidth. They were checking my bandwidth very carefully and then every time it was getting beyond their very small parameters, they wanted to try to upsell me. It seems like they were doing that a lot so I fixed it and got away. But with A2, the bandwidth hasn’t been problematic.
Their turnaround time is really good too. When I have had minor problems, I get quick feedback. I did have one site that got compromised but they were fair about that. They gave me a chance to fix it and treated me like I knew what I was doing because I did. I haven’t needed their tech support a whole lot but when I did, it’s been easy. I've been with A2 Hosting for more than five years and at this price point, they're giving a lot of value and a high level of service, and no annoying upsells. So I’m happy.

We looked into web hosting for our church website. We chose A2 since they had a competitive price, which was the main feature for us. We've been using them for eight years now and we have their basic package that includes web storage and email addresses. From time to time, if any issues come up, I would submit a support ticket and they are quick to respond. Their promptness impresses me as they normally reply within minutes. A2 is a great provider and great resource to use. They work very well and everything's worked great for us.

A2 Hosting has been my provider for my personal stuff for a very long time. I’ve had experience with other providers and this was before AWS was around. Even AWS would be too expensive for what I need, and I needed something simple or a normal web host that I shall access to, which I changed over to a VPS when they started off to bring it and the price is right. The service has been perfect since my needs are basically nothing and I just needed a sandbox sometimes to plan.
A2 Hosting is all-inclusive and they take care of everything. But they’re evolving with the market, so I like that and I’ve been keeping them. If I needed something, I'd use their web portal which was intuitive enough to get what I needed to be done, like renew my domain, or add a domain. There’s a lot of stuff out there and AWS and Rackspace are typical. I would be surprised if a friend asks me about A2 Hosting and I probably wouldn’t suggest it because we spin up our own infrastructure, either in the Cloud or a larger provider. But if it was for somebody’s personal website or some that are small, I would suggest A2 Hosting. They have been very good to me.

We’ve been with A2 Hosting for three years and the main thing with hosting is that you always want to make sure your site is up and easily loadable. For the most part, it is, compared to other hosts. Although there was one situation we had where there was some sort of security blockers in our account and it caused our website to have this weird problem for two years. That was irritating but other than that, they’ve been fine. Besides, it was inconsistent and that was finally taken care of. The support team has been polite, professional and good. We also recently moved our site which I designed and I know that our web tech person had everything all set up and she was talking with A2 quite a bit. They seemed very responsive so that was good. Our experience with A2 Hosting has been mostly positive.

I tried different hosting services include Bluehost, SiteGround, Hostgator etc.. But when I reached on A2 Hosting only I got fully satisfied, A+ customer service and ping time of website is very less. The easily manageable WHM & Cpanel is another better mark. It scans the directory and files daily so if some malicious codes are there it will get prevented from executing. Overall the best hosting provider ever from my personal experience.

We came from Arvixe which was good until EIG bought them out then the service was horrible. We were not going to renew with Arvixe and needed a new home that could accommodate our developers without causing them to lose time because of a switch. After exploring, researching, and checking reviews for months we decided on A2 Hosting. It had the best reviews and they were quick to respond to any and all of our questions regarding their services. Everything just seemed to fit properly.
We did run into a problem when we went ahead with starting services with A2. We needed dedicated IP's however when signing up we were never given the option to add it. We were supposed to receive a promotional deal of 51% off if we added it at the time we started service but since it wasn't available we couldn't get the deal. A2 resolved it right away and got us what was promised with the promotion. So far their customer service has been great and responsive and services also seem very stable. Highly recommend them.

The site is fast, highly configurable, with utilities that are not in products of other companies. The version of WordPress that is offered is optimized by A2 Hosting, this optimization has many interesting utilities to improve the service of WordPress. I have resumed a project, is still in development but the reason to choose A2 Hosting is its performance. I understand that the faster a website is, the better the user experience and the more likely it is to increase the level of visitors.

I have been a customer for about 9 months to date. The offerings and pricing are competitive in the industry, but not what you would call a "Bargain." I have chosen to do this review because others in my class of customers will want to know about the service and support A2 delivers. Support has been nothing short of astounding, comparing VERY favorably to vendors charging over twice as much per month. Even though I have been running web servers for over 5 years, I still struggle with some technical issues that are a bit arcane. They have made maintaining my website easier. The servers come set up with tools I need to work with Drupal. Every 'unlimited' hosting has fine print limits and A2 Hosting gives me the most space to host the most websites without paying more. They provided great deals when I started to save a lot on my first 3 year plan. They monitor for out-of-date Drupal code and will even help with patching updates if I don't do it.

I have the Core VPS "POWER+" from A2 Hosting. The VPS work great with a very high transfer speed. I run an MAGENTO 1.9 and a WordPress site. They are not MAGENTO experts. The company's support answer quick in some hours but the first answers are incorrect. Every time they don't see what plan I have and give me the answers for no core VPS. The biggest problem I have with A2 Hosting Core VPS is that they don't have back up solution (daily/weekly), either with an extra fee. The only thing that it make me think about moving to another hosting company is the hosting company backup. I hope to add it soon in Cores too. I believe that many of their customers is worrying about the backup solutions.

I started hosting with A2 Hosting in December 2015. My previous host will let's just say I had to leave. A2 Hosting went above my expectations in moving my accounts over to them. Since I've been with them service has been excellent. They have responded to my tickets within 15 minutes sometime even sooner. Every issue has been resolved quickly. Any delay has on my part. Their staff has always been helpful and courteous in every way. Would I recommend them? Yes definitely. If you want great customer service that is second to none then you want A2 Hosting. My account comes up for renewal in December I plan to renew. I guess that's the best review of all when you renew your account. There are host everywhere now but A2 Hosting is the best service I've ever had.

I worked with development for over 15 years and always looked for servers in Brazil because of the support, but I was never very happy, my sites seemed slow, and in the support I was attended extremely unprepared people (when it was answered). When I found A2 Hosting, I tested it by migrating a clone from the site. It took longer to open (9 seconds tested in Pingdom), and to my surprise, when I tested it, the site opened in just 3.6 seconds (also by Pingdom). I and my partner were happy to have found A2 Hosting, we did not imagine they would have such good service... since we use big hosting companies in Brazil and they should be good. I even went so far as to think that I was doing something wrong. And the most incredible is that even the problems that were occurring with DNS (where several of my clients were offline) and with the emails, were solved by migrating to A2 Hosting.

I needed an ISP and my IT guy liked A2 Hosting, so he recommended them to me. I use them for my office and I'm very happy with them. I’ve been with this company for almost ten years now. Most of the time A2 is working, but like most ISPs, sometimes they’re down too. And anytime I have problems, I was put on customer service and they get it fixed. The biggest issue that I had with them was that a couple of times, my emails got coded as spam. I called their customer service and they’re easy to contact. Within 48 hours, it’s fixed and I’m off the spam list. Because A2 is on the West Coast, I wouldn't recommend them to somebody in New York due to the time difference. But I would recommend them to anybody in California.

We have two or three sites on A2 Hosting. I had it as a backup site and then switched our main site over there. We've had a website for a long time but it was on a company that wasn't a very good hosting service. I wanted to switch to somebody that would be able to support a website better. I've seen an analysis and it suggested A2 Hosting was good. The pricing was good and the ability to host multiple sites for that price was there. I looked at other hosting companies but they had a lot of problems.
We've been with A2 Hosting for a while and most of the time it's good. One of the things I'm running into lately is that their PHP version is not up-to-date enough for the Wordpress sites we're running it on. Some of their servers are better than others and some of the servers we've been on a long time. A2 Hosting is responsive and I get a good response when I call. They are helpful and easy to work with. They also have good support and reasonable services.

We do dedicated hosting and they manage our dedicated server. I looked into web hosting service for a small business. I wanted something that was video-friendly, Mac-friendly and web-friendly as far as building my site. I did a search online, checked A2 Hosting out a little bit and did my post videos. I have been using them for 7 years and they've been very good. I'm not the most advanced or skilled webmaster and I struggle through things sometimes and then I've had issues over the years. If you have a question, you can post it or they give you a ticket that they use to get back to you. One issue I had was I had used a free theme and for some reason it was corrupted or hasn't been in it and I wasn't aware. They pretty much helped me through it. They've also taken on any issues that I've come across and they've helped me through the whole process of keeping my site up and running. A2 Hosting is a very good company.

We wanted to put up a website and in our research, A2 Hosting seemed to be reliable and cost-effective. They handled our website and our email but we went to a local hosting provider who was willing to do some work for us because we wanted some development done. They also took over our website and our email. But they had a lot of outages so we switched back to A2. In total, we have been using A2 for over 10 years now and anytime we've gotten in touch with them to let them know that we got a problem, they've taken care of it within 24 hours and usually much quicker. If not, they always get back to us and let us know that even if they haven't fixed the problem, they are working on it.

I needed a personal website, and I've been using A2 Hosting for the past several months. I like their cPANEL which is a web-based interface that helps you control the various features of your website. They have a support ticket system as well. I used GoDaddy for the URL registration once but I find it easier to use A2 Hosting for that also since they post the website. They are legit to use as a registrar.
I've also interacted with them both through the online ticket system and on the phone and in both cases, they've been responsive about giving support in a timely manner. Although A2 Hosting is good if you're a beginner, you have to provide your own HTML files. It's not template based. If you have a moderate web design experience and you're comfortable uploading your own files but you still want some support at a web-based interface, then this is a middle-of-the-road approach where it suits a lot of people as long as you're comfortable with the technology. All in all, I would highly recommend A2 Hosting to others.

In close to a week I have not been provided with the most basic information related to my ticket. Moreover the service is slow and sloppy. Please see request for IMAP information, that I resolved with a link to basic Microsoft support article. A2's consistent lack of professionalism with handling this request is rapidly becoming a liability to my Company and day-to-day trade. This ticket needs to be resolved as a matter of priority with a precise timeline on when this will be resolved.

Excellent customer service and always prompt in response and solutions to any problems that arise. Would definitely recommend to others wanting a host server especially for WordPress products. Securi is fantastic and shows all the failed hacks daily. The deal for the services is also a big plus.

From the beginning I have been very pleased with A2. They have answered all my questions immediately and have helped me find the best plan for me. Because I am in Greece and most of my visitors are also, I have change from Blue host to A2 so that my pages would appear much faster. I turned to A2 Hosting when I decided to get more serious with my blog and I am so glad I did. The support team is always on hand to help me with technical issues and as a new blogger/webmaster, I've had a ton of them. I don't think there has been any downtime, the website speed is sensational and this has helped me rank number one in Google for a lot of target keywords. I switched to A2 a few years ago because it was highly recommended by someone knowledgeable about the internet. I had been dealing with horrible support from a different company. The difference was like night and day. Every time I had an issue and needed help with my websites hosted at A2, no matter the time of day or night, I was helped by someone who was knowledgeable, friendly and willing to understand and help resolve the problem. And best of all, they did resolve it, every time. I would recommend A2 to anyone I care about, and that says a lot.
