    This company could care less about you running out of fuel no matter what age you are! When you call for a delivery they give you a two week window with no guarantee that it will be in those two weeks! Also if you run out of fuel you still have to wait until they get to you!

    I have out of propane for the second time in 2 months. I pay my bill once the the tank is filled. I don’t wait for the mail to deliver it. I have a state of the art meter to let them know when I need propane. Still run out. I’m 74 yrs old and have never had issues like this. I’m looking for a new provider. I’d rather pay extra than deal with this.

    We have been customers with Ferrell for over 20 years and their customer service keeps getting worse every year. We called and ordered our propane at the 30% mark like we are told. Here it is almost 3 weeks later and we are at 1% due to the cold snap we are experiencing. We only keep our furnace at 64. We have great insulation and windows so that isn’t the reason why we are out of propane now. We get told by “customer service”, "You're on the schedule for the 17th". Well now we will have to pay for a leak test.

    We had a local company called Diamond propane and their service was phenomenal. Just what you would want. Never ran out and would be there within a day or two when we called. Ferrellgas bought them out and we have had nothing but trouble. Ran out, takes a week or two to get a delivery and now they are charging us to pick up their tank. Horrible company.

    Terrible delivery delays. They schedule you out 10 days and then still keep you waiting when your tank is at 2%, and when you call after 2 hrs on hold, get ahold of someone, they say they are going to check on it and get it resolved and call back. You never get a call back. This has happened 3 times in the past 2 days. It's unacceptable.

    Have had this company for a while, but the last few years they have been very unreliable, letting us run out of propane during the winter months....even though we are on a delivery schedule. They just installed a monitor on our tank and they still let us run out. (We heat our whole house on propane.) They didn't even send anyone or call and to check and see why it wasn't working.

    If you do manage to talk to a person, it's basically just an answering service that relays your message. Our neighbor was on a delivery schedule, and Ferrell let them run out while they were on vacation in Florida, and all their pipes froze. We should have cancelled when we heard this, but continued to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, we can no longer live with the stress of not knowing whether or not we will get a winter delivery in time, before our pipes freeze. Oh, and did I mention they never maintain their tanks....paint peeling eyesores. Stay away from Ferrell. Their low propane prices are soooo not worth it.

    They are always slow to make deliveries. I requested a delivery when my tank was at 30% (their recommendation). Now it's almost empty and I'm very stressed out. Calling customer service is pointless. They claim two weeks meets their obligation which seems excessively long to me. However they have failed to even make the two week window in the past. To make matters worse I've pre-paid for my propane which to my mind means they have an extra obligation to deliver what effectively I already own. Further complicating things is the fact NC law prevents any other company from filling your tank, you are in effect held hostage by a company that is failing its customers.

    You cannot contact the local distributor, all calls go to a central service center. Customer service refuses to give a delivery date. Telling them you're about to lose heat in the dead of winter makes no difference, all customer service offers is excuses: "They're busy", "They don't have enough drivers", "Demand is high", "You should have ordered earlier".

    I’m getting tired of hearing I’m on delivery for today starting from 2/3/2026 thru 2/6/2026. When I call they tell me I’m on delivery for today. My tank is below 10% and there’s a cold front coming in this weekend. Is this how your company treats its customers that have been with them for over 25 years. I am at the point of getting rid of your company and getting another company that doesn’t treat their customers like this. My husband is disabled and on blood thinners, if we run out of propane I will hold your company responsible. The ordered was made on 1/27/2026. I have talked to other customers that have changed suppliers because of this same thing.

    Terrible service, not reliable. We called to order a refill and were told it would be 10 days. We are now on day 11 and we are almost out of propane. After being on hold for 30 minutes, we are told they will not be delivering our propane for another 3 days. They don’t care that we are almost out. They don’t care that. I have a child in the house. They don’t care that I will have no hot water and cannot cook. Tried to get an emergency delivery and were told they do not do that anymore. We have a high temperature of 7 degrees in 2 days. Guess we are going to go purchase space heaters. DO NOT USE FERRELLGAS!

    Ferrellgas has demonstrated significant deficiencies in its service delivery, including instances of double-billing for services, delayed refills, and unsatisfactory customer support. Furthermore, their pricing structure is notably high, and tank maintenance appears to be neglected despite the imposition of rental fees. Consequently, I have decided to terminate my association with Ferrellgas. I strongly advise prospective propane consumers to explore alternative providers.

    Customer Service notification process is terrible. Been waiting for 2.5 weeks for an update when we will get gas and they can't tell us when it will be. We were also told that we weren't priority since we were "will Call" and not Auto-subscribed..Really disappointed....

    I ordered propane on 1/23 when we were at 17% with an expected delivery date of 2/2. Our community got hit with a snow storm and attic temps. Today is 2/2, 9 days later we are out of propane and still no delivery. When I called the office today they said it was supposed to be delivered today but they ran out of time in the work day. I was told a delivery would be made the next time they would be in the area. When I asked what that meant, I was told hopefully by the end of the week. It was 9 degrees yesterday. This is completely unacceptable. I have already paid for the delivery and I’m told hopefully I will have it by the end of the week….Not a good way to do business.

    Ferrellgas,,, Don't sign up with them... They told me they'd be out all week... Told me they finally filled my tank on 29th, so I turned my heat up to 70° from the 60° I had been using to conserve until I got my gas. Tonight 31st my tank totally and completely ran out, I've called every number, emergency, everything, they are closed, no one is answering anything... Don't....trust Ferrellgas. They had notes on my fill, that I was running near empty... I was also put through to a local dispatch... she put more notes that my gate was froze shut & I'd be home to make sure they got in... With all that... Ferrellgas.. Still have not filled my propane... and it's empty. The automatic kept saying all week delivery by the 29th. It's 6pm Saturday 31st, totally empty.

    Terrible, Terrible customer service. In the time of a propane delivery they always fall short. Their truck fleet is very small and they don't make deliveries on the weekends. I put an order in Friday. I didn't get my propane until Tuesday. When you do call, you always get an automated person instead of a real person. They also never give an exact delivery date. I would give no stars if it was an option.

    Ordered propane Jan 21st 2026 delivery was set for January 30th 2026 it is February 1st 4pm and still don't have propane, we are officially at 0% in minus degree weather. We always pay in full up front always, so they have our money but we have no heat. This is our only form of heat and the tank is a rental of I'm guessing 50+ years old and they are still collecting on a well paid for tank which blows me away on the money they are making on old rusted tanks! This will be our last fill cause they do not refund your money. Any money in your account is theirs, was told this several times by this company. That's crazy!! So if you are renting or switching companies and have propane in that tank or money in your account the money and gas is theirs. Crazy!

    I'm afraid we will not see or have heat to who knows when, maybe Monday. We will freeze and my husband just got out of the hospital. He's injured and he even cleared the driveway plus laid sand and my poor husband who is injured will have to do again if we get more snow for these **. Shame on this company, I urge if enough people call your local news they will move like lighting and you'll have heat by the end of the day. This company has gone bankrupt several times and now I'm worried that they just don't have my propane but took my money.

    I gave them 1,100.00 and we'll probably owe a few more hundred but the order isn't showing a complete full 'cause we did have propane but as is today we are now without heat and I'm sick. I'll tell Ya these companies!! DLC is another one horrible. Oh also I waited on the phone several times within the last several days and each time I waited over 1 hour and still no one picked up the phone at Ferrell??? What is going on? Have they gone under again and stole my money?

    Not at all Happy being let run out of gas, email said delivery by the 29 of January. No one has shown up. I am completely out, main office has No Idea when they will get to me. My road is clear and open. They have no way to communicate with their drivers to check any schedules. I will not recommend them to anyone. I'm trying to find any other company that will fill my tank. OH, I did say I'm completely OUT.

    Tank was filled on 12/5/25. Come to find out at 75 percent, 175 gallons. On 1/24.. I realized I may be out of gas although online it said 24 percent. I had no heat or hot water. I requested a fill on 1/25 but due to it being 0 percent, a check for possible leak was submitted over the phone on 1/26. No one was home and no one called to update status. I realized order was completed and then called on 1/28 morning. Told that the technician noted tank was empty and no leak. But NO fill was processed!!! New order was submitted on 1/28 and now it is 1/30 and still nothing. After waiting 7 months (4/30-12/5) for service to be finally started… there is a complete case of bad service!!!

    Ferrellgas is much more expensive if you own your own tank as I do. I went with them because other companies drove off the driveway and created a big mess. The first ~5 deliveries were great. That last one the driver went way off the driveway and left 3 piles of debris so large that no one can get down the driveway. It will take me ~1/2 day to clean up. I called the company and they said they will send someone out to clean up. I will update if anyone shows up.

    No one notified me that they weren't going to deliver. I had prepaid and used all my propane. I created a path (pushed down snow) to the tank. I moved the layer of ice, and it was easy to walk across. I am not able to shovel my yard that has a foot of snow. I contacted customer service, Nicki L ended chat 2 sentences in without telling me she was down helping me. Second agent just said he would issue a refund with no help. SO now I have to find another place that can hopefully help me get propane to heat my downstairs.

    Ordered propane over a week prior and still waiting. Everyone knew there was a snowstorm coming, but they weren’t prepared. I’m now out of propane but they’ve been paid from the moment I ordered. Customer service is a joke. You wait for over 30 minutes just to be told there’s nothing they can do.

    I have been a customer of Ferrellgas for 10 years, never had a problem. I have a 100 gallon tank and they fill it 2 to 3 times a year for last 10 years, never even back check them when they fill it up so in December I called them to fill it and my neighbor said they went up to my house while I was at work. I told them I had 40lbs in it so in January this year my fireplace started going out and putting off a lot of propane smell. So I called the company that makes it and ordered150.00 worth of parts, didn’t fix it so thought my regulator went bad out side so I went to check. Found tank empty. Called Ferrellgas mnager over service, told me they could no longer fill it unless I got a electrician to come and do upgrades to it and then they would send someone to inspect it. Mind you the days after we have been in state of emergency and all ice with no heat because they wouldn’t fill my tank that they have done for 10 years. Would not recommend them to no one.

    Literally, the worst. They let me run out of gas two times they didn't deliver 43 months and I'm on automatic delivery. And my house is thirty seven degrees. I've had to use the oven and multiple electric. Heaters to keep my pipes from freezing. They promised me to deliver today in the morning. Then, they set by six thirty. It's seven forty, still no delivery

    They last brought propane to me Oct. 15, 1025. It's now 01/26/26, and despite my numerous requests, they've failed to show. They lied twice-first, said they'd be here 1/20-no show; called again and they said 1/23-no show. I'm very low on propane and told them either show up stat or come get their beat-up looking tank, and I'll find another provider. Also, they make it very difficult to contact and speak to anyone. Very annoying!

    This is a horrible company that doesn't give a care about their customers. We ordered fuel. They didn't come out because they said they couldn't get up the road. The road was exactly plowed and we also could get our little Nissan outfit. She said our drivers have to be safe, so we went four weeks and negative subzero weather without fuel. They have an attitude. They are not good to their customers. I would not recommend them.

    Atrocious, unreliable service, especially during the winter when it matters most. And the colder the weather, the worse they are. They consistently leave customers on fumes or with empty tanks, are unable to give accurate delivery windows, then miss scheduled deliveries. Avoid them like the plague unless you want frozen pipes.

    Takes forever to get deliveries. They have had my money since January 6, 2026 but tell me I need an inspection and are refusing to come do it. I was originally given a date of 01/23/26 but when I called a week after depositing the money on my account to make sure I was also getting a fill, they told me there is no date. They need to reach out to the team. I have called several times and still have no date and it is -8 (feels like negative 20). Also, I noticed an added charge on my last bill $50 for a “leak test”.

    I been with Ferrell for life time and when I need them they don’t come through. I paid for gas 1/20/26. I don’t have no gas and they told me they can’t come until Tuesday. I ask, "Could I get my 315 dollar back to get a room." I ask could she ask the driver. Could someone please bring me some gas. She hung up. Upside 239 out of my pocket but I had 48.00 credit.

    Possibly the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Communication is terrible, escalation is nonexistent, and customer care is clearly not a priority. Over three weeks ago, they failed to deliver due to weather and told me to call back once conditions improved. When the weather did improve, they still refused to deliver—claiming they couldn’t make it up my hill, despite not even attempting it.

    I later found out they were already in my neighborhood delivering to my neighbor, yet never notified me or tried to service my account. Now I’m sitting at 10% propane, with negative temperatures coming in two days, and it’s 4:20 PM on the scheduled delivery day with no delivery and no communication. No managers available, no accountability, and no sense of urgency when a customer is at risk of running out in winter conditions. Completely unacceptable. I will be switching to another propane provider immediately.

    We’ve used propane for the last 18 years we had switched to Ferrellgas and let me just tell you that’s a big mistake. They do not care about their customers. They don’t get in a hurry if you need gas make sure you order it a month ahead. They supposedly have all these locations, but can’t get the customers their gas. I wish I would’ve never switched from the small company I have because they would be here the same day.

    As an active customer of Ferrell Gas, and being new to the area and not accustomed to using gas, this has been a very sour learning experience! We learned we were out of gas on a Friday at 4:30, our fault but we're new to gas and filled up last August and it's January. I immediately called and paid $1,500 and spoke to 2 service agents. I was then told no one could come for 4+ days! I understand it was Friday afternoon just before closing but I offered to pay extra for emergency service- NOTHING! I had to pay FIRST before I could even speak with someone. Because we lease the tank from Ferrell, we are at their mercy...no other gas company can help!

    SHAME ON YOU Ferrell Gas for doing your customers so poorly! You should have extra drivers and equipment on hand for such times as this as it is going to happen every year. The length of time to get a delivery should not be more than 24-48 hours- It's 50 degrees in my house, the heat is our main source and we cook with heat too - IF my pipes freeze because you can't service your customers in a more timely fashion, we will seek legal action. THIS SERVICE and lack of care for your customers is inexcusable! WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! DO NOT USE THEM- Bite the bullet and BUY your own tank so you can get gas faster or go electric!
