We were schedule to go on a cruise on May 11, and were unable to go. We do not blame Vacations To Go we take full responsibility. My complaint is with Vacations to go Master Cruise Counselor Evelyn **. We were already wounded and Evelyn pour salt on our wound. I called Evelyn to request our refund on the specialty dining and internet. On one call she said I was a waste of her time. On my next call to Evelyn she went off on me screaming and hung up on me. I ask management to listen to the recording on August 19, around 4:28 pm. No Customer should ever be treated like I was. She was rude and unprofessional. On August 20, I did speak to Rhonda **, Vacations to go Manager. I want to thank her for the way she handle the matter and her professionalism. As a Customer we choose where we spend our money.

Worse travel agent ever - I booked on a whim after looking at their site for years - to join a group of friends who had already booked their cruise. I thought their prices looked good - but honestly - it's been the worst experience ever in hindsight. The travel agent I was assigned was/is horrific. He is unable to answer the smallest questions, offered no “TA Experience” on which cabins are better, was unable to articulate proper responses to my questions, etc. There were NO perks whatsoever by using their services. I have since learned that reputable TAs should have access to a lot more TA benefits, information and savings to the customer. I DO NOT RECOMMEND using Vacations to Go for anything other than looking up info on their website. And then take that with a grain of salt - the prices they list are not exactly what is offered.

ALSO - Between my booking and when the final payment was due, Houston was hit with a tropical storm and their servers and phones were all down for days. I managed to get a message through via email and he called me - however he tried to change my quoted price 2 times to higher amounts - and each time I had to tell him again that it’s NOT the same price as originally quoted and that I took prints and and screenshots of everything in real time at booking.. He finally got it back down to the original price - but it was still higher than any other reputable TA could have gotten us. Find a better company - Vacations to Go will completely screw you over.

One of the worst travel agents I have ever worked with in my life. The extent of the issues are too many to write here. Summary: they never booked seats on the airlines for us, no help with ground transportation, booked a airport for one of the travelers FOUR HOUR drive from their home with other airports closer, booked a 5am flight with more convenient flights available. Consistently out of office with no response. Generic customer service phone number was no help, kept telling us it had to be escalated to a manager that was never around and never called back. This company is useless and nothing more than a scam to make money off of tour companies and airlines. Feel free to find a tour on their site but DO NOT BOOK THROUGH VACATIONS TO GO! Go to directly to the tour company and book through them directly.

Annmarie, we apologize for your frustration. We secured the airports & schedules your mother requested & provided the record locator numbers for seat assignments. When you called on July 8, we had been hit by Hurricane Beryl. Our office & many of our staff were without power & internet, but a skeleton crew worked tirelessly to address as many customer concerns & questions as possible. We apologize for the interruption of acceptable service during that time, and are sorry to lose your business.

We took our cruise during The Eclipse in April and it was perfect. I just now noticed the negative reviews. We had no such issues. It looks like most of the negative reviews were a specific problem that VTG had no control over. Maybe we were just lucky, I don’t know. But I will use them again. They have the best overall prices.

By the time we realized what had happened, they had our deposit and the original cabins we wanted were not available for the price they quoted. For their illegal action, they gave us $100 on board credit. No refund. No waiver of cancellation fee. False advertising! I have yet to use them, but after seeing all the reviews I may not. Not to mention they are false advertising their prices. So when you see (You Save xx%), it's not true. When I checked the price on V2G and compared it to what the cruise line is offering, it is the exact same, and the cruise line is cheaper. One example is I looked at Royal Caribbean for a suite. V2G advertised $2,679 say I save 48%, but when I checked RCCL website for the exact same cruise, date, and room, they are giving me the exact same price. I even checked another cruise line like NCL and it was the same. If anything NCL was a couple hundred bucks cheaper. So save your time and just book with the cruise line and not a third party agent. Because after reading some of these reviews and seeing when people have issues, it's impossible to get anything done or corrected.

Just do your homework before you book with V2G. Compare with the cruise line and maybe other websites before you decide. Because if they are truly advertising so much off or save then it should be what the cruise line is offering then that percentage off. Like the RCCl I said. If the RCCL price is $2679, then it should be 48% off of that price, not the same.

Vacations To Go is celebrating 40 years of business, having served more than 8 million people. All prices are provided to us by the cruise line, including the brochure rates, which are the value the cruise line places on the cabins being sold. Thank you Vacations To Go for investigating my issue and taking corrective action. I greatly appreciate your efforts in helping me get this resolved. You made it right and that means a lot.

    Original Review: Jan. 12, 2024

During Cyber Monday of last year (2023) I purchased a FastDeal cruise from Vacations To Go (V2G) for a cruise taking place in May 2024. This week I was looking at my booking on the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) website and realized that I could not find all of the offer incentives that were included with the package that I purchased. I contacted NCL support and was told that I would have to speak with V2G about the discrepancy. I contacted the V2G agent that I worked with during the initial booking and asked if he could help me find the options in the package that I had purchased.

The booking that I purchased included the following offers: 1. $50 onboard credit per cabin 2. Unlimited open bar 3. 1 meal at a specialty dining restaurant 4. Free Wifi 5. $50 shore excursion credit per cabin. When I asked the V2G agent to show me where to find these within my reservation he stated that my booking did not include the "Free At Sea" offer and that he had booked my reservation under NCL's "EasyFare" offer which does not include all of the options that I thought to have purchased. He then proceed to tell me that I could pay more to add the "Free At Sea" offer. When I purchased the cruise, the agent and I had extended dialog about how great of a deal it was because it included the unlimited open bar. In fact, he never mentioned anything about a "Free At Sea or EasyFare" package. When challenging him on this, he reiterated that he could certainly add the option and that I would need to pay for it.

I asked to escalate the matter and he told me that there was no escalation path. He stated that they record all of their calls to ensure accuracy so I asked for a copy of the recording, he refused to provide the recording citing that that it was for internal use only. To this point the agent has refused to acknowledge or correct his error. The phone recording of our conversation would reveal that I was led to believe the offers were in fact included and there is no mention of either the "Free At Sea or EasyFare" offers. If this cannot be resolved, this will be both my first and last V2G purchase.

I am writing to share my recent experience with Vacations to Go organization, specifically in relation to the Alaska cruise my wife and I took in September through the Holland America Line. To provide some context, we chose Vacations To Go for this trip due to a family reunion organized by a member who had used your services in the past. However, our overall experience with your agency was less than satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share our concerns.

First off, I want to highlight the positive aspect of our journey—the cruise itself with Holland America Line. The cruise was exceptional, and we would highly recommend this cruise line to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, our praise does not extend to the level of assistance and service we received from Vacations To Go. Our disappointment began with the agency's lack of support in preparing for the trip. We anticipated assistance with air travel, hotels, logistics from the train to the ship, meal accommodations, and more. However, we found that your organization provided very little information or support in these areas. As a result, we had to create our own itinerary to reach the ship and plan our post-cruise destinations.

Moreover, the excursions we booked through Vacations To Go were not seamlessly integrated with the cruise ship's offerings. This lack of integration led to communication challenges, and unfortunately, we were unable to partake in an excursion for which we had spent a significant amount of money. Despite adhering to all rules and submitting the required documentation, we are still waiting for reimbursement four months later. This experience has left us disheartened, especially considering that we invested in your protection plans, which proved to be a waste of money.

The delay in reimbursement and the apparent disregard for your own policies are particularly troubling. As a company with an annual revenue in the millions, we expected a higher level of professionalism and adherence to stated guidelines. It is disconcerting to discover that Vacations To Go has numerous complaints on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website, further diminishing our confidence in your services. In conclusion, our experience with Vacations To Go has been disappointing, and we have decided not to use their services in the future. We hope that this information serves as an opportunity for their improvement, and for them to reconsider your policies and practices to enhance customer satisfaction.

So it was my guy's 60th birthday and I thought of buying an excursion in the Dominican Republic that would take us to the cigar factory, chocolate factory, rum factory and the museum. I had paid $69 each for the two of us. When we got off the cruise, we had to walk a long 25 minutes to reach the taxi service and that's when we found that we were late and the bus had left us. We were told that the tour started 30 mins after the ship got to the port. Nothing was mentioned in the email or the ticket about a specific time or a specific place that we were supposed to be at. Their instructions were very vague. We asked several locals about our meeting point and we ended up getting another taxi service to take us to the tour which was an expense that wasn't planned.

I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND buying excursions from Vacations To Go ever!!! Other cruisers experienced the same disappointment as us. I'm never getting tickets from them. This was my first time and will surely be my last. We have never used the excursion department through Vacations To Go before, and if you do decide to book through them, I would strongly advise against it. First of all our cruise (which we have booked and taken many) was horrific, worst cruise we have ever taken! (MSC, don't do it) First hour on the ship we were notified that we would be arriving into each port late. Since we had early excursions we immediately called Vacations To Go to cancel them rather than be late or only get a partial trip. We were told a cancelation would have to be reviewed by the excursions team, only then to be told, "Sorry you have to cancel 14 days in advance." (I'm sorry, we weren't notified until the first day of our cruise we would be late getting into all of our ports.)

We provided Vacations To Go with the letter we were given by the cruise line apologizing for the port delays. Didn't matter, we were told, "Again sorry, some people made it to the excursions and you are not getting any part of a refund." We contacted a manager at Vacations To Go. We explained our situation again, provided that same letter, told him what an awful experience we had on the cruise, (one engine failed causing delays, 4 hours late getting home. Sewage issues, toilet not flushing, terrible food, it was a nightmare!) He once again went to the dreaded excursions department which we waited days to hear back from, only to be told again, "Sorry, you're out $318 and nothing we can do."

So because I was absolutely disgusted and expressed that, the manager said, let me see what we, "Vacations To Go" can do for you. Supposedly he spoke to his manager and a few hours later called me back to say, "We can give you 5% off your next cruise." I assure you, we will not be booking any vacations with Vacations To Go again. I would encourage you to book directly through the cruise line. Very disappointing.

We're sorry you had such a poor experience, Jennifer. Vacations To Go uses a third-party company called Shore Excursions Group (SEG) to offer excursions. All decisions regarding compensation for cancelled excursions are made by SEG, not Vacations To Go. We've made many attempts to advocate on your behalf, and I'm sorry we've been unsuccessful in securing a refund for you. I've asked one of our senior managers to contact you as soon as possible to discuss this further. We apologize again.

Prices advertised on their website are not what is quoted when you reach an agent. Price quoted to me was astronomically higher than the website. When I asked about it, the agent had to get back to me. After talking with the cruise line I was then quoted a price still several hundred dollars higher than the website, but significantly lower than his original verbal “quote”. He told me our website is not live pricing. HUH???

Thanks for writing, Sarah. Unfortunately our site doesn't reflect live inventory meaning as soon as a price sells out, it doesn't automatically update. Depending on the cruise line, we receive pricing directly from them 1-3 times a day so all pricing must be verified before a booking is made. In most cases the displayed price is available, but there will be times when it has sold out due to popularity or demand. We're sorry you felt deceived, and hope you'll give us another chance in the future!

Duped. The features they promised on their website were not there after they took my money (almost $5000). After I booked and paid, I noticed the booking with Norwegian Cruise line did not match what I paid for. I wrote back to Vacations to Go for them to explain or fix. Their response was, “There is one restriction to adding the Free at Sea package and that's if we book a Sailaway guarantee." We did book a Sailaway guarantee, Norwegian won't allow us to add the Free at Sea package to those bookings. Gobbledegook like that does not cut it. It was not discussed or explained,

VTG May be able to do one thing OK - book a cruise. However, when booking a cruise there are often other needs…. Transportation, connections, coordination, hotels, etc., the things travel agents do. VTG does not offer these services and once you use them to book the cruise, travel agents aren’t anxious to provide you the other associated services. VTG’s price for the cruise was the same price the cruise company was advertising. VTG did promise a shipboard credit that amounts to about 3% of the cruise fare. While nice if that happens, I don’t believe that value equates to the services a travel agent could provide. Understand what VTG is: a booking agency. If you need other associated travel requirements, best to use a good travel agent.

We could have gotten a sightseeing tour while we were waiting - but after waiting for the tour, all the other tours already left. We were not amused. The Stockholm (Sweden) tour did not take place as well. We waited at the requested location but nobody showed up. In both locations we tried to contact the recommended local representative and the Customer Service Center both to no avails. We had additional taxi-cost to get to the location. We regret that we booked tours with this company because not only that we missed out - it’s very costly to get back to these locations in Europe. We’ll never book a cruise tour with this company again.

I begged for some allowance and was told the cruise is a competitive one and would never decrease in price. They would not refund my 3000 deposit so I paid 11000 for the cruise. As soon as I paid in full the website is now advertising 6000 for a single. That’s 5000 less! I wrote and asked them if they would honour this rate and was told it’s too late as I’ve paid in full already. If I had booked direct with Windstar they told me they would have been glad to honour my singles rate. Shame on Vacations To Go and my agent Athena for taking advantage and lying to me. TLDR: Horrible experience… Run, don’t walk, away from Mimi Montgomery & Vacations to Go. I recently had the misfortune of booking a trip with Mimi **, a travel agent at Vacations to Go, and I cannot express enough my disappointment and frustration with the entire experience. From start to finish, Mimi displayed a level of incompetence and unprofessionalism that left my family and me in a state of disbelief. We booked the Globus Tours 12 Day tour: Brazil, Argentina, and Chile with the expectation that Mimi would provide the necessary support and assistance throughout the process. However, her promises of exceptional service quickly proved to be nothing more than empty words.

During the booking process, Mimi assured us that she would help us change our flights to more desirable times if we were dissatisfied with the ones assigned (given she was “unable to provide the times to us in advance of booking”). However, once we booked and requested the change, we were hit with an unexpected fee of $200 per person, totaling $1000. We had never authorized this change, yet Mimi went ahead and altered our flights without our consent. Only after escalating the matter to her managers did they acknowledge the error and waive the fee. Such careless and deceptive actions are inexcusable and reflect a complete lack of integrity on Mimi's part.

Such careless and deceptive actions are inexcusable and reflect a complete lack of integrity on Mimi's part.

As if this incident wasn't enough, on July 11, 2023, Mimi sent an email to myself and an unrelated individual containing all our personal and reservation information. It was a shocking breach of privacy and professionalism. When I raised this concern, Mimi tried to downplay the severity of the situation, claiming the email contained no personal information. Furthermore, her attempt to shift blame by alleging she sent the same message on March 16, 2023, was baseless, as she had actually sent it to the same wrong person. Her defensive and combative attitude when confronted with her mistake only further highlighted her lack of accountability and customer service skills. She proceeded to hang up on me when I pointed out her mistake and refused to take my calls subsequent to that.

Mimi **'s unprofessionalism, incompetence, and poor communication skills are utterly unacceptable. Her actions have not only caused us immense stress and frustration but have also jeopardized our trust in Vacations to Go as a whole. It is clear that Mimi is ill-suited for her role and does not possess the necessary qualities to provide quality service to customers.

I strongly advise anyone considering Vacations to Go to steer clear of Mimi **. Her actions reflect poorly on the company, and she has demonstrated a complete disregard for customer satisfaction and basic professionalism. Vacations to Go needs to address these serious issues and ensure that their employees are capable and accountable. In conclusion, my experience with Mimi ** at Vacations to Go was an absolute nightmare. I urge others to seek out alternative travel agents who prioritize customer service and professionalism.

Happy that Vacations to Go took me seriously, refunded my $ for the horrible hotel booking and apologized in full. Thanks to Robin, Andrea and Michelle for taking care of this minor but important (to me) detail! Very much appreciated by both myself and my wife. Thank You!

    Original Review: July 11, 2023

In April of this year my wife and I booked and sailed on a Princess Cruise through Vacations to Go. The agent was great. However naively booked us pre-cruise overnight in the most horrendous “motel” I’ve ever had the misfortune to visit in my entire long life. Pictures online at the website for this place don’t even come close to being an accurate depiction of the horror that awaits the unsuspecting traveler. Even a supervisor at Vacations agreed she would never book anyone there.

When we arrived tired after our flight and shuttle from Houston we found this “establishment” had been turned into a motel that housed transients for $1000 monthly. Police were actually arresting and forcibly removing residents of the “motel” as we arrived and attempted to check in, the room in question was filthy, unkempt and broken down with live and dead roaches all over, rusted and broken windows and AC, missing fixtures, stained walls, lamps and carpet, pickup trucks full of garbage in the parking lot, dead barbecues outside from residents and much, much more… It was unquestionably and absolutely the most disgusting and dangerous place I’ve ever been booked in in my many, many years of traveling professionally worldwide…

I wrote to the rep who booked us even before our cruise and requested a full refund for the nights booking which we fled from immediately. I was assured it might take a little time but would receive a full refund. I’ve written to several reps at the company recently and all my emails to date have been ignored. I have contacted the rep in question repeatedly to request a refund for the booking which I was told was non refundable. I’ve spoken to the supervisor about the debacle and also requested a refund. I’ve been assured multiple times that we would receive a refund for what would have been a very horrible nights “stay” we definitely and rightly refuse to pay for!

We have received nothing to date… Although the amount was only $70 dollars I feel justified in asking that this small amount be refunded to us as a matter of principle as this was not even CLOSE to a reputable establishment. Our personal safety was at risk and both my wife and I were disgusted and frightened by this awful experience. We refused to stay due to the conditions at this roach motel hellhole and we incurred increased expense to get us the hell out of there immediately and find someplace safe and clean to stay before our intended and expensive “luxury” vacation all booked through vacations to go. At this point it’s getting mighty late to expect a refund but believe we deserved one, we will NEVER book with this agency again for anything…

On April 8 this year, I asked our agent to book 2 specialty dinners for all of us (one for a birthday, and other for anniversary). However, She made some errors on the date for one and some errors on the date for the other! I called her several times followed by emails. She was mad at me and saying that was all she got from Celebrity! I then called her manager, she was nice and tried to explained that Celebrity would not allow full group dinner bookings and advised me to go to the restaurant when on board to ask for change. It appears that the dinner bookings are not part of their customer services! Well, for sure, we will not come back to them for next trip or cruise booking. I finally called Celebrity directly to get the errors fixed for now.

Our excursion was a 9am and we were finally allowed to debark and reached the island at noon. Of course, there was no one to greet us. Now Vacations2Go is telling us that 9 people actually went on the excursion and that they're still "investigating" my refund request. Not true! Most recently I have been trying to get a refund of a deposit I made to be on a waiting list back in 2021 with American Queen Voyages. Vacations to go calls and gets an update for me each time I call but say there is nothing more they can do. They continue to advertise and sell American Queen trips while not requiring the company to meet their promises. There is no dispute that I am owed the money but continually get excuses why it has not been returned. Calling the company the support person on the phone all but agreed with my belief that they are returning money as they get additional revenue. Reviewed Feb. 16, 2023

Updated on 02/18/2023: Vacations to Go recently responded to my earlier review expressing sorrow that I got sick on my trip and asserting that they couldn't help me because they had to follow cruise policy. Lies and excuses don't solve bad service. Here's my reply along with a second 1-star review, because this interaction was worse that the first one.

"While I appreciate your very belated sorrow at my illness on board, my critique isn't at all about getting ill. My critique is that I bought travel interruption insurance from you, and you abandoned me, ghosted me instead of stepping up and connecting me to the insurance. You left me stranded and locked in a tiny cabin so you and Generali would not have to pay for the travel interruption. By ghosting me, you weren't complying with any Covid policy. Under the cruise line's policy, I was permitted to leave that ship at any time. Indeed, under then present Covid policy, you could have put me on a flight home, and you certainly could have gotten me someplace that didn't feel like solitary confinement in a 8'X12' steel cabin with no natural light.

It isn't about the sickness. I've been sick before. It's about selling me a fraud of a travel interruption policy and then pretending I didn't contact you to open a claim. Generali is lying about not receiving the claim, and I have the UPS receipt to show it was delivered to their double-secret snail-mail only location. But, we're all going to meet soon enough in court. Too bad your other customers aren't lawyers."

Original Review: I took the insurance Vacations To Go was selling because it had to be better than the cruise line’s captive insurance, and I knew I needed insurance, because it was going to be my first cruise since Covid. I was fully vaccinated and "bivalented" and senior flu vaxxed, and I'd been exposed a few times and never got it. There were few masks and close quarters on my first cruise in years, and, by the fifth day of my 15-day cruise, I had the version of Covid that makes you utterly weak, constantly exhausted, and struggling for oxygen while feeling you are breathing. I was confined to an interior cabin, started on **, and told the soonest I could leave my cabin would be six days later.

I contacted my travel agent because I could not decipher the insurance policy they sold me, and I was very very sick. I asked them to get me off the ship so I could recover at home, or, at least, not serve more solitary confinement than a prisoner at San Quentin! The travel agent ignored me for a day and then gave me links to the insurance and thereafter ghosted me. That's my last time with Vacations to Go!

They never rescued me. They never intervened with Generali to provide service. They got their commission, and all they did from then on was write emails telling me they were “escalating.” They even had the nerve to send me an email denying that I’d ever contacted them, though they somehow withdrew that email. I may have gotten a discount of $75 cheaper than buying the cruise directly from the cruise line, but the only place I could use the $75 on-board credit was to pay for the $800 ** or the antibiotics and medical care costing another $450. Instead, they did nothing to get me off that boat. They left me abandoned, locked in a tiny cabin for six days while they didn't answer emails and, when called, they just told me they were escalating and we hadn't even opened a claim.

After I got home, they worked with their insurance agency, Generali, to set up a series of barriers, so I had to assign the case to a paralegal in my office to jump the hoops. First, Generali insisted I prove I made a claim against my health insurance. Next, prove I made a claim to the travel agency. Then, fill out an outdated form of Generali’s asking, at one point, for how ** is compounded. I'm back almost a month now with nothing but lies and obfuscation and "we're escalating" as they click off the days until the claim is untimely under their tricky dick policy.

The fun part for me is that I'm a lawyer, and I know I'm going to sue for the medical and the reimbursement and the cost of the flight they should have put me on. It'll cost me more than I will recover, but I intend to take their lawyer out for a martini afterwards. Maybe he'll pay with all the law firm will charge to defend. If you aren't a lawyer and want the insurance you thought you bought, don’t buy it from Vacations to Go, and, if you thought that you were buying through a travel agent to have an advocate if things go wrong far away from home, use a real travel agent. Stay away from these defrauders.

Our cruise experience with Vacations-to-Go was excellent; however, our shore excursions with them was a total disaster! Our first shore excursion, port of Roatan, HN, the Semi Sub Glass Bottom Boat Barrier Reef, was booked through a vendor called Roatan Henry Tours. The instructions for the meeting point seemed simple but our hunt for the POC, Creg, became very confusing. We were instructed to look for Gate 1 and folks holding up signs for the tour. We saw no signs for Gate 1 and no one holding up signs. We asked for directions to Gate 1 and that lead us down a long rabbit hole into town.

We finally called the number listed on the shore excursion and he told us to walk our way back to the port. There we saw lots of signs listing tour companies that weren’t familiar. Finally, Creg identifies himself. He calls for our ride which is a small sedan and we cram our way in. The tour itself was okay but we were so cramped in the semi-sub, we suffered severe body pains and had to cancel our Cozumel port shore excursion.

Our second shore excursion, port of Costa Maya, MX, Costa Maya Beach Day, was booked through a vendor called Tucan Tours. The instructions for POC location was easy but a long walk which aggravated my body pains even more. The taxi ride to/from the beach area was great (dropping us off near the ship area on return was a plus). The issue we had was the beach day location. When the taxi pulled up to the location, we were a little leery about getting out. I even took a pic to show the drop off location. We couldn’t even see the beach area at first but once the greeters escorted us closer, we felt better.

The beach was very crowded and we were placed in a shaded area initially. Once we saw an opening elsewhere, we moved. The food and drinks were included in the beach day; however, there was little to no alcohol at all. We ordered shots so we could add it to our drinks. The food was horrific and the waiters were confusing at times. We were starving when we returned to the ship. All in all it was nice to lay on the beach and relax even with all chaos. My body’s aches and pains certainly appreciated it!

She email me information that only one was available, but when I researched R.C.L. website, I found eight on decks eight through ten. Of greater importance, along with the misinformation regarding cabin availability, she now sends me a quoted price of $1889.90 for the same cruise. An increase of $952.00 from the original quoted price.

When I checked R.C. L. for the same cruise and desired cabin, the price R.C.L. quoted was $672.00 Lower than the quoted price furnished by Ms. **. When I complained to her manager regarding Ms. ** miss information, he/she showed no interest by responding to my comment/s. The word to wise would be clients interested in future cruises, contact the cruise line for pricing prior to utilizing a travel agent. It goes without saying, with my recent experience with V.T.G. Raquel our booking agent was incapable/unwilling or whatever to handle a reservation. Returning a call is apparently not included in her job description - Her repeated claims that I must have blocked her numbers were not factual. Outgoing messages stating her hours failed to mention that she was out of the office on vacation. I only learned she was out when I asked for a manager to try to resolve the problem. Management refused to clarify my issue. “I’ll have her call you when she returns to the office.” Trying to obtain the credits due from a COVID cancellation, a cruise canceled by the cruise line on a reservation booked by VTG in 2020 proved frustrating in spite of my presentation of all relevant documentation information. Vacations To Go is a low tier booking agency. I’m shocked that the luxury cruise lines would allow this inept rude group to represent them.

I am very, very upset with VacationstoGo for taking my money and making me believe that I have a confirmed shore excursion. I had paid for The Golden Circle shore excursion in Reykjavik and was led to believe that I have that in the bag. It is supposed to be the highlight of my Iceland/Greenland cruise. Internet was intermittent during the cruise and when I saw my email two days before the excursion, it said I was confirmed for the 9 am trip. Then I was told the earlier time slots are filled up and there are only rooms for the 9 am trip. I replied back that I was confirmed for the 9 am so I was very confused.

The next emails then told me that VTG is sorry but my excursion was cancelled, on the day before the excursion!!! There was no clear explanation why and I was very, very mad because if I had known earlier, I could have waitlisted on the ship excursion and/or made other arrangements, like at the information center at Reykjavik. VTG literally ruined my cruise by cancelling on me at the last minute and not making arrangements for alternatives. When I emailed the travel agent, she said it was cancelled because the 9 am excursion may not be able to get back before the ship departs. Then why the heck did VTG take my money and confirmed the shore excursion???

It's not about the money. I don't care that VTG did not charge my card. That is not the point. The trip was supposed to be a break from taking care of my two very sick parents, and I don't have the luxury of TIME OR MONEY to go back to Iceland to take the excursion. Iceland is not a common trip for cruises, especially for those who are traveling solo and can't pay the single supplement. What a disservice to their loyal customers! I will never use VTG again as I cannot trust the company. You don't know whether the shore excursion you bought from them will be honored or you will be left stranded without any alternative on a trip you paid for.

Travel agency might not be good for you. Our cruise was sold to someone else. Norwegian sold our room twice, did not give a refund and refused to correct the reservation or offer any compensation. We were attending a family reunion and booked a block of 5 rooms. My father paid in full for all the rooms, and each family arbitrary assigned themself a room. Five days before the cruise my 86 year old father took ill and was not able to attend. We understood the "no refund” policy but we talked to Norwegian directly and was advised that we could keep the room and spread out our group. However the day before departure we were told that since this cruise was booked through a travel agency, Norwegian had the right to resell the room without giving us a refund. I don’t see how it is permitted to sell the room twice and not give one party a refund or return the sales tax and daily service fees. I would not recommend a Norwegian cruise.

Vacations To Go review. First of all Stetson ** told me I could buy a protection in case I had to protect the trip. The day after I realized my daughter’s passport was expired and I had to postponed it but of course I had to pay a fee on top of the difference and my trip in August started at $3500 to finish in March for $5500. He was very annoyed to change the vacation in another date. He also told me that only the most expensive room had internet. Then I checked in another vacations site and of course even the cheap one had internet. In December I was paralyzed and I could go there only with an elderly scooter. No problem with the airline but transportation was a big deal.

I told Stetson immediately when I bought the scooter, he told me he will tell transportation and he will let me know. That was in January, he called me 2 days before the trip to tell me the transaction was $195 on top of the $140 I already paid, I had to pay it. Then it was time to leave, I was so excited to go in a 5 star resort, that maybe my expectation were too high. Our plane was late and I had to call Stetson to tell the transport to wait for us. Just my luck. He went on vacation the day before. I had to talk to someone else but she assured me she will reach out to them to tell them to wait. Of course they didn’t, so we were at the airport without a car. I had to rent a van for $140 that it is not the $195 I paid for it but I guess $55 was for vacation to go otherwise they don’t make money.

Arrived at the resort. They didn’t greet us as promised with a cocktail but I couldn’t drink alcohol so I didn’t care. The room was in decay, it looked like they didn’t renovate it since they opened, rust everywhere, broken parts, broken bulbs, basically a mess. I went immediately to the reception and they told me they would fix everything. They did but 3 days after constant complain. Imagine my frustration, I was working with Wifi and I couldn’t do my job, I lost a lot of money. Carley contacted me saying that she was very sorry but she had no control over the resort and suggested me to go to the concierge to complainant but I already did, so she had no other suggestions. She was nice. Finally someone who emailed me to see how my vacation was going.

When we went back home Carley promise me I would get a refund if I could show them a receipt of the $140. I emailed it immediately and she disappeared. I thought that the Transportation was difficult to contact but after about 3 months, Alan Fox the Executive Chairman of Vacations To Go sent me an email saying Carley was no longer working for them (a good one and they couldn’t even keep her). After few weeks I received a $175 credit from American Airlines but with restrictions, I could spent this money only within a year, it could be used only on airplane tickets, it can not be combined with the value of an existing ticket to pay for a new ticket. Since I discover Vacation to go is not as cheap as the other company, I didn’t pay attention to it and I had no intention to use it.

When I contacted Alan Fox asking for the $140 refund and he answer that their policy doesn’t allow them to give refunds but only credit and the $175 airline credit was my refund, the same airline that didn’t charge me for the scooter….I’m so upset, shop around before you buy a vacation package with this company. I can guarantee the first site you look at with the same resort, same airplane and same transportation, it is at least $200 cheaper than vacation to go.

Thank you, Stuart, for taking on a difficult situation. You are amazing and I am truly thankful for your time and expertise. I know this vacation will be wonderful.

    Original Review: March 29, 2022

I am a nurse and my husband works in construction. We take vacations from time to time and we managed to save enough money to take our adult families with us thanks to the low prices on the Vacations To Go website. We purchased two vacation packages in December 2021. We worked with Marshal ** and he was very professional and has been very professional throughout the process.

Around March 15th, the continuation of COVID's emerging new strains and the war in the Ukraine started creating anxiety about traveling out of the country. Three family member decided they no longer wished to go. I reached out to Marshal to try to work out how we could integrate the change into the vacation for the rest of the family. (NOTE:He did offer the insurance for $250 and $600 at the time of the booking and we declined it.) We still wanted to go with rest of the family and, hopefully, change the reservation with upgrades for the rest of us.

It has been two weeks and I finally asked about cancelling and found out that if we cancel we lose everything. We would receive about 20% of what we spent in credit for a future purchase. If we want to upgrade, it will cost an additional $4,000. If those family members do not go, we will have to pay an additional $400. It is a nightmare and for two weeks, no one cares to work with us. They have their money and they don't care about the customer. TO BE CLEAR, I DID NOT WANT A REFUND. I wanted to re-allocate the money to create a better vacation. BUT, as it turns out, they get more money no matter which way we go.

I have been using this agent since 2012 and they have been outstanding on every occasion. These people complaining about refunds / being stranded abroad even though they didn't book their flights with v2g / lack of responsiveness / being issued a FCC even though they didn't request a refund from the cruise line need to take some individual responsibility and understand this is nothing to do with the agent. The refund comes from the cruise line, who are in a financial crisis.

I would never dream of complaining to Vacations To Go about my airline not helping me. I would never complain about lack of responsiveness even though the cruise lines have provided the mechanisms online to request a cash refund on their websites and let customers serve themselves due to the workload involved in administering this process. I would never take a FCC knowing full well that the cruise line has offered a refund and all I need to do is complete a form online like a responsible adult to request this. How about people provide some support to a company that is consistently excellent and is working in extremely adverse market conditions. People really need to grow up and learn to help themselves. I have used them previously, however, in this Covid 19 thing they are not taking the role of being consumer advocates, more the line of protecting the company treasure chest. I called when the news became obvious that we were in the high risk no sail group and the person I spoke with was not the person I had been dealing with (it is very hard to contact your initial contact person or "vacation specialist"). I spoke with another person who basically cancelled my cruise for four and now I am told my only option due to the way VTG handled me is to get a FCC (future cruise credit) from the company Royal Caribbean - they are very hands off now and I am out 4K.

I thought a travel agent was an advocate, they are not. Vacations To Go will refer you to the cruise line directly for any problem. Apparently if you carefully read what they are doing for you (nothing) they are merely a place to get quotes on prices. I will say once you report a complaint, the next time you call the phone disconnects during the conversation-both on land line and by cell phone, very strange. They are pointing fingers at Royal Caribbean and Royal Caribbean is pointing fingers at Vacations to Go, neither wants to take responsibility. In what reality is it right to pay for a service and not receive that service?? I've been trying to come to some sort of agreement with them since March and have gotten nowhere. There is far more to this story but this is the bottom line.

I'm sorry to hear that Royal Caribbean denied you from boarding at the pier, Ty. I know that must have been very disappointing. We always suggest arriving at the pier at least two hours prior to the ship's departure time and leaving plenty of time in your commute for unforeseen circumstances. I see that you've spoken to many managers within our agency, but any decision to offer compensation for your missed cruise must come from the cruise line directly. I'm sorry there's not more we can do.

A company they represent, Pullmantur, after we flew from Western Canada to Dubai, cancelled our cruise. We had already boarded a ship. They then booked us to go home and made errors with that costing us an extra CAD $1500. They had issued a letter to us saying we would receive a full refund for the cruise - but changed their mind so we get nothing [a future cruise which because of geography we will not be pursuing]. Vacationstogo other than acting as a mailbox for Pullmantur, did nothing. Our essential question of ethics is with Pullmantur but vacationstogo bears some responsibility for those they represent. We have used VTG for a few cruises now, and have become loyal to them. They seem to offer the best prices, and I cannot stress how happy I've been with their agents. They are professional (albeit someone automated in their follow-up emails...but I guess that's to be expected) and I love the companies long hours/availability. That said, there are a few things I would provide constructive feedback on:

First and foremost, it's annoying having to go through an agent to look up every cruise. In some cases, there are dozens I'd like to compare, and I would have no problem doing it myself....but I'm forced to have an agent do it. Maybe they could give users the ability to do a little more on their own? Even if it could just give me an "estimated" $ amount or range, that would be nice.

Second, I like having an assigned agent. However I wish there was a better process for getting a quote on their days off. The way it currently works is you call in and speak with, effectively, a NEW agent. If you end up booking one of the cruises that the new agent looks up, I'm pretty sure he/she gets the commission, and your "normal" agent gets nothing, despite the work they've done up until that point. I wish there was an option on the phone/website to deal with someone neutral/non-commissioned, even if it's in a limited capacity while your agent is away.

Finally, their "advanced search" option is quite good, but I wish you could add more search criteria for their "departure point". For an example, I would love to be able to select "Eastern US" or, create my own custom group of ports that I can use moving forward. Or, even easier...just let me add more than 4 locations to the search from. I realize they've added groups such as "all Florida", which is beneficial, but I still find I could use a few more due to where I live.

One thing I love about the search, is that if I select "go back to custom search", the forum REMEMBERS all the stuff I'd previously filled in. I don't think it used to do this, and it used to be really annoying. All in all, my complaints are merely constructive feedback since I know the company reads these reviews. I really enjoy working with VTG, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In fact, I'm hoping to book another cruise with them today.

They washed their hands clean of us. Didn't even receive a small compensation or treat for the troubles despite a 32 person booking. Also did not put in the request for large tables despite 6 emails asking them to do so. Agent's response was just to be patient...but she never did anything. OK... I realize nothing in life is ever "perfect", however, the number of negative reviews read has left me very perplexed. My wife and I have utilized VTG over the past 12+ years to book 4 cruises and have never experienced the level of misadventure described herein. Many reviews to the negative, in my opinion, are from people who are never happy unless they're complaining about something. Conversely, the number begs the question whether something has changed in the operation of the company recently to attribute the high number of negative reviews? Inexperienced new employees? New salary "incentives" that might give reason for dishonesty?

Granted, if things go well, you're unlikely to hear from those folks, so take the negatives with a grain of salt - the volume of positive experiences may very well outweigh the number of negatives given the actual volume. I did this for 10 days straight, monitoring the prices on the cruise line site as well. In 10 days, despite VTG getting the updates from the cruise line daily, and getting phone calls from me stating their price was wrong and misleading, they never once changed their prices to show the higher rate.

For 10 days they left the low price that did not exist, on their website. That is false advertising and obviously they are doing it deliberately. They deliberately deceive people into calling them by advertising a low price that does not exist. And to further prove that they are doing this deliberately, if the prices from the cruise line went down, VTG immediately changed the prices to show the lower price, but never changed it to show higher prices. I have reported this false advertising to VTG and their CEO for many years, and still the false advertising continues. Buyer beware.

We saw a trip online that we thought was a great price, so we called the other couples and told them to meet us so that we can book the trip. The couples met us and we tried to book, but we were told by the Vacations to go representative that we could not book. The reason he gave was that there was something wrong with their website... the price was wrong.

This happened to us twice within two months. I worked in sales, and normally the price that is displayed is what your customer gets; that was not the case here... my wife and I feel that if there is a problem with the site, do not make the customer suffer. We have previously had good experiences with Vacations to Go. However this time our same travel agent, Brad, took advantage of us and told my husband the only hotel available and transfers available were $698. When I realized too late that we had been overcharged, I tried to cancel that, but that would be a $500 charge from Princess for cancellation. Now we are in Santiago and we just found out Brad booked us for two nights. We arrived January 4 and our cruise begins January 5. We do not need 2 nights!! We should have been charged $149 for 1 night night plus $24 for taxi to Sheraton plus $150 for transfer to ship. It seems that Vacations to Go does not work for the customers.

While we are limited on the suppliers we can use for hotels & transfers, Brad should have provided you with some other options. Went on a cruise through Vacations To Go on MSC cruise line. Service on ship was horrible. Food bad. Terrible exp. Vacations to go arranged a Cataraman snorkel cruise miles from ship dock. 18 people arrived on beach behind a major hotel at their own expense per person $16 at 9:00 in morning. No Vacations To Go rep in sight. A person from a beach vendor down the beach came over to tell us our excursion has been moved to 1pm! No reason, no accommodations. Vacations To Go left everyone abandoned! People made do as could, hotel refused service as we were not guests. 1:30 a rep shows up, no apology, reason, nothing and commences to march us down the beach a half mile in direction of cruise ships to a Scuba Caribe booth behind another major hotel. No need to go all way to first hotel. Scuba Caribe handled the excursion and it wasn't worth 10 cents. Never will use Vacations to go again!

I am tired of being misled by VTG prices. The prices they advertise are low, but as soon as you call in, that low deal doesn't exist. Then you have to sit on the phone waiting for the agent to call the cruise line for a price and availability. I may as well deal directly with the cruise line itself. Their excuse is that their system doesn't immediately update the price increase -that's deliberate, given as soon as a cruise line drops their price, VTG immediately reflects it in their system and what you see. I have often been told by VTG that the price "just went on" but monitoring the price from day to day, proves that even if they know the price has gone up, they leave the low price on there for weeks at a time.

The cruise line indicated that VTG gets immediate updates of both increases and decreases in prices, so it is just VTG that deliberately leaves the low prices on their website. Also, the agents can't seem to look up the right date or ship properly, so I am never dealing with VGT again. And if you have problems, VTG won't help, so better to book with the cruise line and deal directly with them for any problems. VERY disappointed in Alan Fox and how he operates this company that deliberately false advertises. I have spoken to him before and he is arrogant and argumentative and doesn't like it if you prove they are guilty of false advertising.

Updated on 01/09/2020: In response to your answer on my review on a seven day single cruise I was on the “Liberty of the Seas” departed on October 29, 2017. I was emailing to Water **, As I was asked to do when I tried to call and book my cruises. Ask the ladies that were in charge of the single cruises for that trip they even say my sister and I should’ve been on with the singles, got left out, could’ve been our best cruise ever. I have been on cruises before but this was the most disappointing cruise my sister and I have had. I paid for both of us and didn’t get what I paid for. All they offered was $50 credit to my next cruise for spending over two grand. Keep your $50 credit.

Original Review: Booked a seven day single cruise for my sister and I two years ago, with Vacations To Go. To make a long story short. They did not include us with the singles. I even asked at the front desk. No help. After about half week. They left a schedule at my door, but, by then, was no fun. When I returned home I called and emailed, vacations to go. We booked our Cartagena, Columbia Step On Step Off City Sightseeing Tour through the Vacations To Go website after booking a cruise the same way. The tour was offered very early, before cruise line excursions were made available, before we knew the ship's schedule in port, and supposedly at a discounted rate. Because we had to arrange our own transportation to meet the tour, we paid $40 American cash for taxi service each direction, increasing the price of this tour quite significantly. However, the cab rides with the taxi drivers were fun and interesting and ended up being possibly the best part of our experience.

The City Sightseeing Step On Step Off Tour turned out to be a continuous tram tour that operates throughout Cartagena from 9 AM to 6 PM daily. It is available to tourists staying in the city for as little as two Colones per day (quite inexpensive). We, of course, had paid substantially more. You meet the tour at an open bus stop in downtown Cartagena and must wait in full heat and sunshine until it arrives. There are no restrooms offered and the English language skills of the peddlers in the area are very limited, so we had not access to restrooms at all until we returned to the cruise port.

Transportation is by open tram and/or double-decker trams that are open on the second level but have closed windows with some cooling on the ground level. You are handed a map and a set of earphones when you board the vehicle. The earphones then can be plugged into a device in front of each seat, and you can select the language of your audio tour. Unfortunately, we had great difficulty hearing due to all of the motor noise and loud conversation going on around us, and the guides on the trams turned out to have very limited English skills as well, so it was difficult to get answers to questions. Further, the audio tour did not appear to be coordinated with the actual stops the tram was making. The idea is that you can step off at any of the stops and tour that attraction, then get back on when the next tram arrives in 45 minutes - a rather loose estimate as it turned out.

Because our ship arrived at 6 PM on Wednesday and departed at 2 PM the next day, we were on a very tight schedule, trying to do the tour between 9 AM and 12:30 PM in order to be back on the ship on time. We got out at only one of the stops and ended up waiting for longer than expected to board the next tram. It takes 90 minutes to do the tour if you just stay on the bus and ride the full circuit around to explore your options before choosing your stops - so, we did not do that. Many of the stops turned out to be shopping opportunities and a couple of the major Cartagena sights were not on the tour at all.

My suggestion is that this would be a perfectly adequate and inexpensive way to see much of the city for tourists staying in the downtown area and not under pressure to do the entire circuit in a few hours. However, if you do not have fluent Spanish language skills, this tour may not be for you. We did get a good feel for the new downtown and Old City areas of Cartagena by riding around and did enjoy, very much, our taxi rides. But you might be better off just hiring an independent taxi to take you to the major sights in the city and skipping the tram tour altogether. Or simply book this excursion through the ship, which will be more attentive to your language and comfort needs. Also, be aware that the Cruise Port itself has some shopping opportunities and a few other attractions for those who want an inexpensive experience and do not want to go far from their ship.

Nor did he respond to additional phone messages and an email.

I eventually got in touch with another customer service rep (Jerry) who said there was nothing they could do and that Holland America does not offer any consideration in cases where there has been a price reduction. We have been very satisfied up till our most resent cruise. When we boarded the ship we suddenly had a different cabin than the one booked and confirmed by VTG in all our documents. We made it very clear when we booked, that a cabin close to my mother in law was very important, since it was her first cruise and she is an elderly lady that needs a lot of help.

Instead of cabins next to each other we got a cabin in the other end of the ship. We were told that the ship was sold out, so we had to stay in our "new" cabin. Later on, we learned that several of the people we met on the ship had been upgraded at no charge - and they didnt even ask for it.... Why didnt they even try to help us, solving this issue? We talked to the VTG manager, and he would arrange a compensation, and get back to us. We havent heard from him again, and he does not respond to our emails. Our sales agent responded once, but is silent now, when we write him. We are very disappointed, since we have always been telling people to use VTG. Remember booking a cruise, a hotel, a tour, or anything is actually the obligation of that company directly involved with the service. Is it possible that a previously reputable company that Vacations To Go used is no longer reputable. Absolutely.

My recent personal experience was that I found it more personable and professional working with Vacations To Go vs Royal Caribbean International. Responses for detailed itinerary were that "Our systems do not provide the information you are requesting." Contacting Vacations To Go and requesting the same information, provided me with the details I wanted, a deep and broad description of the deck and room location chosen and responses to all of my questions. Keep in mind that Vacations To Go is a travel Service providing the best answers available from their vendors. I will continue using their services, and realize that all my prior complaints were with bookings directly from the cruises who are merely booking agents for shore excursions for a fee. That's my two cents. And thank you Vacations To Go for past vacations with the hope that future ones will be as enjoyable with your professional guidance.

    Original Review: June 17, 2019

I wanted to send you this email to outline our three excursions we booked with you on our recent Alaskan Cruise and how utterly disappointed and disgusted we were.

    1. Mendenhall Glacier and Salmon Bake. $230.00 USD. We arrived at the port and were put on a bus which dropped us off at the Mendenhall Glacier parking lot. We were left there and told to return to the bus in 1 and 1/2 hours. We walked for over a mile to see the Glacier and the falls and returned to the bus. We were then dropped off at the Salmon Bake parking lot. We stumbled into the Salmon Bake area and were told we were suppose to be introduced and welcome by the staff on the bus before being allowed to enter the actual meal area. We were lucky they allowed us to eat. For $230.00 USD we were driven for 15 minutes to a parking lot and then to another parking lot and had a 30 dollar meal. Are you kidding me. We could have taken public transit to the Glacier parking lot and the Salmon Bake lot and paid the 40.00 to eat. A complete and utter rip off.

    2. Skagway City and White Pass Summit-100.00 USD. Here we arrived at port and were put on a bus. We waited for 35 minutes and then travelled for 1 hour in complete rain and fog to the summit of the pass and then turned around and came back in rain and fog. No stops, no sight seeing. Nothing. I mean nothing. We saw rock and trees. Coming from British Columbia, trust me we know what rocks and trees look like. Again another complete waste of time and a utter rip off.

    3. Saxman Native Village and Ketchikan City Tour-118.00 USD. You saved the worse excursion and biggest rip off for the last. We were loaded on a bus and taken to a building where a lady sat on a log and talked for a few minutes on totem poles. We then were taken to a open area beside the road and looked at the ocean. From there we went to the company parking lot and looked at more ocean and then walked down a muddy road to look at a slow moving creek.

The driver kept talking about wildlife and kept warning us about bears. Every few feet he said “oh that is where a bear might have sat in the grass”. No tour, no wildlife, nothing. I have seen more wildlife at home in our backyard because we have a squirrel that comes into our tree occasionally. From the muddy road we were taken to the Saxman Village, but were told we were not allowed in it or to actually visit the village. We walked on a public street and were shown some totem poles in a public area. No actual visit to the village, no actual totem pole demonstrations. Nothing. I mean nothing. From there we walked back down the public street to the parking lot and then back to the port. This was a complete waste of time and the biggest rip off of them all.

My husband I have booked with Vacations To Go for our honeymoon cruise 2 years ago and now an Alaskan cruise for my husband, myself, and my mother-in-law (2 rooms booked onboard for Alaska). We have gone through Danilo for our bookings and it doesn't seem like there is any effort to make our vacations extra-special or reason to keep us as customers. We haven't been offered any onboard credit or other offers for using Vacations To Go for our honeymoon cruise or the Alaskan cruise we have coming up, when local travel agents typically include a bottle of wine/champagne or on-board credit for using them. Our Alaskan cruise is in 2 weeks and after emailing Danilo about any on-board credit or other offers available as this is our second booking with them, he responded with "I have been monitoring the sailing, unfortunately nothing at this time. You will always see the best offer on the front of the Fastdeal."

After looking at responses from Vacations To Go on Consumer Affairs website, I found this response from Vacations To Go on March 12, 2019: "Our rates are always at least as low as the cruise line's, but many times we are able to negotiate additional discounts, onboard credits or other perks for our customers." Yet, we haven't received any of these perks. In addition, we had to find out on our own about renting cabanas onboard and had to ask him to include my Holland America passenger number into the booking as it wasn't initially in there. In the future, I don't see any reason to continue booking with Vacations To Go.

I booked a cruise w broker-agent Joey ** of Vacations To Go. He tells me his specialty is just cruises & he has been doing this for 12 yrs. So I book a 2 wk cruise thru him on the Holland America ship, Rotterdam, from Tampa, Fl to southern & western Caribbean. Booked a cabin on the promenade deck. He stated that would be away from the elevators & mid ship, so it would thus be more convenient. I say ok. Cruise time & we get assigned to our stateroom, which was fine w/ the access to the walking deck thru a slider, which was also fine. We embark & return to our room afterwards & my wife says, "What's that noise??" We go out & discover that Mr specialist, **, got us into a cabin RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE ENGINE ROOM!! Talk about noise!

It gets better --- That night, we are awaken several times by the "room" above us, making noises, dropping things on the floor, etc., all night. I complain to the guest service station about it. At first, they said they would look into it. The next night, same EXACT noises. This time I go straight to the guest services at midnight & complain again --- the girl in charge says the noises are coming from the prep kitchen located right above our cabin --- can you imagine, this "so-called" 12 yr veteran, giving us a cabin w/ the prep kitchen located over our heads, that goes 24 hrs/day.

As the director of the guest services stated, "Apparently, your cruise agent hasn't the knowledge on cruise ships cabin room layouts, because agent worth their salt, would NEVER put a client in a room like that w/o at least telling you about the potential issues." So, I get back, make a complaint to Mr "specialist", Joey **, as well as to the CEO of Vacations To Go, Mr Alan Fox. To date, nobody has ever acknowledge any communication. I guess they just don't care, so unless one knows exactly where you kind of want to have a cabin, do not trust some of their specialists, in picking a cabin for you, because they'll tell you anything, to get you to book thru them so that they can get their commission. &, as far as Mr. Fox goes, not getting some type of answer is NOT very professional from "this also" so-called "leader". I would NOT use them again. There are plenty of more reputable cruise brokers out there.

Vacations To Go has some excellent features. I have taken two cruises booked through Vacations to Go, and four cruises booked directly with the cruise line. What does Vacations To Go provide that the cruise lines don't? Their excellent, all encompassing website. There, you can input all the requirements of your cruise. You input the dates, length of cruise, location. And their website gives you a list of EVERY cruise line meeting your needs. Unbiased. You can then scan them all and make your choices, no obligation. THEN you can book with them or go to the cruise line direct. The two cruises I booked through Vacations To Go went well, but nothing special. I believe you can get the same discount prices through the cruise line but of course you can check for yourself.

My husband and I have used Vacations To Go several times. This last time we have booked for the cruise Spectrum of the Seas, we are leaving on May (two months from now). At the time we made our reservation we didn’t include our baby girl, we called about 2 days after booking and spoke to the agent about adding our baby to our reservation, she told us that kids were free and that we would only pay taxes, so she said we would have to pay $950 dollars just to add a baby that sleeps with us, does even need anything just to be with us.

We didn’t refuse to pay but at the time we didn’t have the amount she asked for, so about 2 days after we called the agent once again to make the payment to add our baby, but now she said we have to pay the amount of almost $10,000 dollars!!! Just to add our baby, she told us that if we are taking our baby they would have to move us to the grand suite, because the cabin we reserved was for only for 2 persons.

I called Royal Caribbean without telling them about my reservation and asked which cabin we could reserved to take our baby with us and they told us that we could fit 4 people in all the cabins, they also said that to add a baby we would only have to ask for a crib. We called Vacations To Go next just to ask the same question and the agent told us basically the same thing, that all the cabins we apt for a third person to be added. I recorded this call, because I don’t understand how the agent is telling us that we can’t take our baby with us unless we pay the $10,000, this is crazy and so unfair from Vacations To Go. I can’t believe they are not helping at all, this will be the last time we use this agency. Sorry for my writing, tried my best since my language is Spanish. Do not recommend Vacations To Go!

Back in July I purchased a Caribbean cruise for 8 people (4 couples). We had to cancel the trip cause of an illness, we purchased the cruise insurance as well so we all were covered. Price consists of 3 steps, cruise cost itself, cruise insurance and government taxes. The government taxes are collected by the ports that you visit during your trip, in our case it was supposed to be 11 days so good amount of places to visit. Taxes were almost $350 per couple so well over $1000 together.

When we canceled the trip, they should immediately refund us for the taxes as these don't get collected if you don't board the boat. They refunded us around $50 per cabin so around $200. I called few times and was promised that would have been taken care of immediately and if it wasn't done within a week they advised me to call back. I did that few times left a voicemail, sent an email and no response. My agent name was Madeline **, and when she was selling the cruise she would have called me few times per day to close the deal, now so much when it comes to resolving an issue. The reps have always been professional and helpful. The cruise is just as advertised and most times we end up getting bumped to a better room when we check in. We do know there are additional port fees and taxes so are not upset that the final price is more than the posted rate. This is common through most travel companies so should not be a surprise. Could not be worse. This company confirmed a prepaid Disney World hotel stay for my family — then did not book the rooms. We found out at the very last minute that they were in fact not available. It was a horrible disappointment, and they have been very slow to remedy it. (Been on the phone for hours and still no solid information about reimbursement.) Would not at all recommend this company. Do not use them.

I will say the agents are nice, but there are too many subcontractors/sub-booking agencies involved to get a straight answer about anything. Our agent didn’t actually book our trip when he told us he did; he sent our information to another agency, then another, and somewhere along the line it just wasn’t made. It is just as big a hassle in the problem-solving process; they have to wait on answers from two other companies. Bottom line: Their rates and availability seem to hinge on third-hand information being accurate. And in our case it just was not. It seems like it is a problem that would happen fairly often in a business setup like this. My parents have booked several cruises with them, but will not be doing so again. It’s too risky.

Autherine, I'm sorry you were under the impression you had two rooms. There is a considerable price difference between a single and double room. The price quoted to you was for double occupancy and we do apologize if there was any confusion over the type of accommodations you were to receive. I understand that the tour operated offered to put you in separate rooms at an additional cost. I'm sorry to hear that option wasn't acceptable and hope you were still able to make the most of Africa.

The prepaid gratuities and beverage package were included with your cruise and we're sorry the cruise line did not allow us to exchange the beverage package for another amenity for you. I thought Vacations To Go put me on a relaxing coast tour (Amalfi Coast Tour). Instead it included a bus ride up one of the most dangerous roads in Italy--a narrow dangerous road called a "killer highway" up and down a mountain. Not only did myself and my daughter get car sick with the tight winding turns but four cars in front of us was a car crash where the driver was killed and the trip was delayed for an hour. Please in dealing with Vacations To Go make them describe the difference between a "coast" trip and a "mountain" trip. Be careful with what World Tours subsidiarity is foisting on unsuspecting tourists. My fault was not being more aware I going where I did not want to go. Also the small meal atop the mountain was very poor. The Pompeii Tour was OK but not worth a tumultuous ride up and down the mountain.

I should have received 2 free cabins for this trip due to the numbers of cabins we booked but Pamela stated after I had booked this trip they changed the policy and only give a percentage. I informed Vacations To Go I would never use their company again. Pamela should find another job, working in PR is not her field. She had a very nasty attitude and make it very hard to plan for the 25 people going on this trip.

I have booked cruises through them possibly 6 to 7 times... Been the odd minor burp. Also, I am religiously obsessed with Azamara cruises. In late June 2018 we received VtG's e-mailed flyer announcing select Azamara cruises at up to 79% off with up to $3250 cabin credit. So we booked a 16 night Asian cruise, and because we were in a lower class of room (a balcony unit) we were told we would only get $750 cabin credit, $250 spa credit plus a free night in the private dining room.

Bad enough that after we booked and paid, the cruise itinerary was changed with no price adjustment, now today, when I checked in for the cruise I find out we are NOT getting the extras and the agent seems to have drawn a blank. I talked with the agent and managers at VTG and got nothing other than if I canceled I would lose all my money due to the late date.

The only question I had for them that they could not answer was 'WHERE WOULD I GET THESE FIGURES FROM"? No one at VTG could answer that. Very very very disappointed now in this company and Azamara. It's not just about $1000USD, it is $1300Cdn. And they come back with no resolve other than cancel and I lose my entire payment. Sadly, they have my money for the cruise and I have no recourse other than this posting. GET IT IN WRITING...

Two weeks after we made the payment, we got a notice in the email basically asking for almost $500 in service charges. Services which have not been delivered yet. I called to complain and was told that it is "standard" practice on all cruises and "the agent should have told you." "The cruise line will bill you even more if you decide to pay at the end of your cruise. There is nothing we can do." They just lost any possibility of future business. I will take it up to the cruise line myself. The agent and the management did not offer any help. Not a wise business decision.

Adnan, we apologize that you felt mislead about what was included in the price of your cruise. Your agent should have explained that gratuities will be an additional cost once you board the ship and we apologize that he failed to do that. As an industry standard, the cruise lines charge gratuities and we do not have the ability to change that. Some cruise allow you to remove them once on board. I had previously booked a cruise direct with Pullmantur and had a wonderful cabin & great experience. For my cruise of the Greek Islands in Sept 2017, I decided to book thru VTG. Their associate, Samuel **, sold me a balcony cabin, which of course was a lot more money than a regular cabin. I told him clearly that I wanted a balcony so that I could have fresh ocean air, and a peaceful cruise. He HAD to know that the balcony cabins on Deck 9 are directly above the disco, which blasts deafening, thumping noise from 11 p.m. till 4 a.m. every night. This meant that none of the cruise passengers, almost all of us being retired people, got any sleep for the duration. The noise was even more horrendous if the balcony doors were open, so the reason I paid extra for a balcony - to be able to sleep with fresh air - was impossible. Our cruise was totally ruined - it was outright torture.

We all left that cruise feeling stressed & exhausted from the constant nightly noise & lack of sleep. We were so tired after not getting to sleep until after 4 a.m. each night that we were unable to even go on any tours that usually left at 8 a.m. When we got to port, I called and emailed Samuel at VTG, but this was fruitless. We all put in formal written complaints to Pullmantur but we're told that they would do nothing for us because we booked thru VTG. VTG was completely unresponsive to our complaints about this torture cruise.

We are looking for a class action law firm to deal with this, and I am in the process of taking my unanswered complaints to the European Commission on Mobility and Transportation. From the many complaints on here, the lesson is, book directly with the cruise line, not with VTG - you have more rights booking direct with the cruise line, and in my experience will get a better cabin for the same price - it seemed like VTG got a chunk of the less desirable cabins.

We went through Vacations To Go for a condo in Saint Augustine for June 30 – July 7, 2018. We had five adults and one child, with two of the adults being a couple. I always ask the number of beds and bed size. When we checked in and saw the rooms, I was irate! The master bedroom was very nice, but the second bedroom (being shared by three adults and one child) was literally a set of bunk beds separated. I immediately called VTG and was basically called a liar.

I asked to be put somewhere else close by that had adequate bedding, of which they said they had nothing. I was told I could sleep on the pullout couch. I didn't pay $2241.11 to sleep on a couch (which hadn't been cleaned since who knows when). The girl I spoke with, whose language and demeanor seemed to be about 12, kept saying it had a "trunkle" I could use. When asked what a trunkle was, she didn't know and kept asking others in the room. Turns out, she was referring to a trundle under one of the bunks, which was more uncomfortable than the bunkbeds. They knew the number of people sharing this condo. The second bedroom was definitely set up for children.

I spent my first almost 2 hours of vacation arguing with them. Finally they said they'd take off $100 off the cost of the condo. (Big deal!) I hung up in tears. Here is a list of other issues we soon discovered: They didn't supply the gate code and had to wait at the gate until we got it. I had read other complaints about this, but thought they were referring to the door code, which I did get. Could not lock the bedroom door. Could turn the lock, but it would not engage in the lock.

Dishwasher didn't work properly. Would run and never stop, then you'd have to take them out, rinse and hand dry. Plus, it leaked on the floor. Had to hand wash dishes for a week!

Microwave wouldn't set timer and had to watch and count minutes. Microwave and washer were old, very noisy and sounded as if they were going to quit any minute. Small bedroom overhead light was out, and required a screwdriver to take off the light receptacle to replace a bulb. (Sorry, none of us ladies brought our toolbox on vacation). Small bathroom had no toothbrush holder or shower rug, as did the large one. Although The small bedroom was set up for children, there were no plastic dishes or cups. Had to use the square plastic storage containers for his dishes. The toilet in the small bathroom continually ran if you didn't wiggle the handle each time, and at times had to remove the back and push the rubber plunger down by hand (gross!). To sum it up. These units are not regularly checked for the most simple maintenance and upkeep.

However, when I asked our Vacations To Go Travel Counselor, Elyse **, to look into it, we were told it was too late. On Feb 11, when I tried to log in, Royal Caribbean said I had no reservation. I called Elvis and he said "Something had happened with Royal Caribbean" and he would look into it.

This company is an absolute joke. Hands down the worst customer service I have experienced with any company. I've spent 4 hours and 47 minutes on hold the past two days only to get disconnected after a significant amount of time, the long being 2 hours. Their website says they respond to requests within 24-48 hours. It's been 9 business days and I have yet to receive anything from them. When I have called and got ahold of them they would ensure that someone would call me back by the end of the day. Still, no call back after being told that 3 times. Be smarter than I was and stay far away from Vacations To Go. They won't do anything except take your money and waste your time. Frauds!

The associate Dale called me back the same day and remedied the situation. I got the booking confirmation now. Agents are a bit argumentative emphasizing they are the largest travel company vs. being understanding of customer's frustration. Only reason that I took away one star. I'm satisfied that Dale called me back and stayed on the phone with me to make sure confirmation came through. I will give this company an honest chance. Will come back to review once I actually took the cruise. To give honest feedback.

I just booked a cruise a few days ago with Dale **. He promised to send me email confirmation to both my Email addresses the same day and never did. He does not return any phone calls and was ghost after making the sale. I tried on several occasions to get a hold on manager or customer service representative. They placed me on hold for over 20 min and then disconnected the call without speaking to me. I'm a world Traveler and booked my 16th of 17th cruise with various agencies like Priceline, Expedia, CruiseCompete etc. This is the worst experience and waste of my precious time. Nobody should be held up for almost an hour out of their day. This suppose to be a joyful transaction not stressful. I don't recommend them and will unsubscribe from them, once this is resolved. Horrible company!!!

I asked for a cruise quote for a specific cruise, date, port and cabin class. I received quote which was perfect, I organized and paid my non refundable business class airfares from Australia to Europe. Rang back V2G to pay deposit for cruise which was accepted. The next morning at 4am Australian time the agent rings me to tell me he had a slight problem.

He had booked us on a wrong cruise the following month and different cruise and different country but was on to it and he would rectify it, only to be told that to do the transfer to the right cruise IF I wanted (Hello! I had never asked for another cruise) I would now have to pay an extra $4000.00 AUD because he had given me the wrong price but sent me a quote and details for the right one that I wanted all along and booked me on a different cruise altogether. This started on 12th February. After him not returning my calls I decided to try customer service. She took all my details. I e-mailed all my airfares documents. It is now evening on 16th I haven’t heard a word not even an answer to my emails. People BE VERY AWARE.

I was using this agency because like everyone else they had great deals. Long story short I asked what would happen if the other person could not attend, what were my options. The lady Ms. ** was very nice and told me my options. She said $50 to change names. Well the person ended up not being able to go. I changed the name to someone else and now she said it was $250.00 when she said it was only $50 originally. I am just so upset about the whole thing. I don't know who I can talk to about this. Now I have asked for my $250.00 back because the second person cannot attend. I don't think they will give me my money back, but I am still waiting on that request. It's just so unfair. All she did was change a name! She said the cruise's representative told her that, ummm not my fault.

When we tried to resolve and the customer service was appalling and we also discovered the notes they initially wrote down were totally inaccurate. The manager did nothing to resolve our issue and rather than apologize continued to misrepresent their company, the services they offer and show complete lack of ethics morals and customer care. Cruise lines should take note and deal with more reputable groups.

Recently decided to try them for an all-inclusive Jamaica vacation. I was told (apparently in a vague, non-specific way) that they would match a lower price if I found it, so I felt confident in booking. Three days after booking, I found a better deal by about $100. They refused to do anything for us (Resort credit? Something!!), calling their policy an "industry standard." So much for low price guarantees, and I will NEVER, EVER consult their website again.

In looking at cruise options in the Middle East and Asia regions prices advertised in the "Vacations To Go" website appeared attractively cheap. For example, their website claims that for a Celebrity 14-day cruise from Japan to Taiwan to China in November 2018 the brochure price for this is 7,596 usd. For an inside state room and the Vacations To Go price is 3,298 usd. In fact the celebrity (UK) brochure price is £1,739 which equates to 2,270 usd, an amazing 5,326 usd less than that the brochure price claimed by Vacations To Go.

The real brochure price is 1,028 usd less than VTG's price. The so called brochure prices advertised by VTG for another Celebrity Asian cruise which I looked at were similarly incorrect. I suspect that many if not all prices for other cruises advertised were likewise inaccurate. I am not sure whether there is a breach of trade descriptions legislation In the aforementioned circumstances. However those considering booking a cruise through Vacations To Go should at least be very wary of their advertised prices.

I have used this company a lot for cruising and have been very happy it with it. I traveled to China and they provided a service to help with the VISAs (for a fee but was easier than me trying on my own). I also did a Mediterranean cruise through them. I'm getting prepared for an Alaska cruise. They also quickly do cancellations if needed or change to another cruise. I like the website because I'm a destination traveler more than being loyal to one cruise line and you can see many cruises to the area and check out the itinerary quickly. They help you get the best rooms but if you are minding costs will tell you what your room will be like for instance a partially obstructed view for less cost. The only downside for me was after getting the reservation, some cruise lines will send you back to the travel agent rather than answering questions such as upgrades. That seems silly because you have already paid. But that is the cruise line doing it not VTG.

We unfortunately left during Delta's major snafu with horrible storms in Atlanta which caused thousands of cancellations. I felt we should have been notified by VTG and Delta that this was going to be an issue before I left my house at 2 am to get to the airport. That didn't happen and when I got there, Delta had a representative standing to help customers who were freaking out as their flights were delayed not hours but days. They gave us a red card with a number to call and said they would reimburse us.

We switched to American Airlines, paid another $2000 and made it to our destination. However, we have called Delta several times and sent emails and they say they reimbursed VTG and they are the ones who need to reimburse us. VTG says, "No it's Delta." Thank God for my credit card company that is giving us back the money. I won't use them again. EVER.

I recently a booked a cruise on the Westerdam from Fort Lauderdale to Rome. The prices listed on Vacations to Go were unbelievably low for a suite. When I called to book it, the VTG agent double checked the prices were correct for a suite. I carefully went over with him what was included in the suite. On each item, he assured me it was included.

After the cruise was fully paid for, I checked the room category and it wasn't what I was told I was booking. I called vtg and the agent told me I must be mistaken, everything I asked for was included in the suite I booked. He assured me twice. Then he called back to tell me he was mistaken, those items weren't included. It would be an additional $2500, more than the original cost. When I suggested we split the difference, an offer I thought was generous, the vtg agent got back to me and said they had a tape of the day I booked the cruise where the agent told me those things I asked for were not included.

Since he admitted twice that he had told me they were, I asked to hear the tape. He said he didn't know how that could happen. Because of my husband's health requirements, we need the suite, so I paid the extra money. I have used Vacations To Go before and have been satisfied sometimes and other times not. I keep swearing I won't use them again, but keep going back. However, they have finally won. I will never use them again.

We lost a whole day of vacation. (May I also add how incompetent Delta Airlines is... The morning of our cancelled flight, we waited 2 1/2 hours to retrieve our luggage, which never came. Decided to leave and go eat breakfast and came back 2 hours later and still no luggage. They told us in Delta baggage office, it would meet us at our destination. However, my husband's blood pressure meds were needed. It took them more than another hour (+) to find our luggage and when we did get our bags THEY WERE MARKED TO FLY TO CANCUN!!! Also out $40 for return transportation but I digress).

It is the end of January 2017. We have yet to hear about a reimbursement for time lost. There was ABSOLUTELY NO EFFORT made to get us to our destination and to extend our trip by a day would come out of our pocket and the resort would charge us $690 and Delta offered us $495. Generous, right? (Dripping Sarcasm) I'm looking to go to Costa Rica in December and I will NEVER USE DELTA nor Vacations to go ever again based on my first and last experience with both. OH, and BTW, Delta wanted to give us a voucher to be used ONLY with Delta. Good for them. Not good for me. They demanded cash up front two full months in advance. We could not sleep until they closed it down. I am a mature citizen -- why don't they and Holland America put drinkers/dancers in rooms like that? Now here's the point. VTG just want to sell you a room and don't give a ** about your welfare. IF the VTG agents were properly trained they would know the structural aspects of all cruise ships and where the noise zones are. I've been on about six cruises and NEVER had this kind of problem before. WHO DESIGNS a ship that way! IDIOTS is the answer.

SO please don't book a cruise on the HA KONINGSDAM anywhere below the sixth floor or you run this risk. My husband reviewed the floor and believes that AT LEAST 20 rooms would be badly affected on the fourth floor of this stupid ship! Was told on the phone that part of the deal was a free stay in Vegas with my family -- Turned out not to be true, we were charged an extra $40. The "free" cruise certificate we received had approximately $350 worth of fees attached to it and was only good for certain weeks. (We ended up booking directly through Carnival for the same price and got a better room and the week we wanted.) Bottom line, when they call -- just hang up.

Vacations To Go - positive experiences 8 April. WE have booked around 10 repositioning cruises with V2G. To Singapore & Buenos Aires, & Panama Canal, etc. Just got back from Hong Kong to Venice arriving 5 April. Check records of V2G. Always had great experiences and even a few unexpected shipboard credit gifts.

I am surprised to see so many negative reviews on Consumer Affairs.

The only bad experience we ever had on a cruise was with Holland America. They refused us boarding unless we had an India visa--would have cost us $500 for a 5 hour port stop for a 10 year visa we didn't want. This was after several travel agents, 2 ambassadors, all said we did not need if we stayed on the ship. V2G couldn't help us on this one so we got the visa and boarded 12 days late into the cruise. I would never go on a cruise where the cruise line was adamant about requiring an India Visa. Fact is we went on Royal Carib, Costa and several other trips booked thru V2G where the line did NOT require an India visa. Anyway, I give V2G 5 stars. They had by far the best prices & biggest discounts.

I had been stalking cruise prices on various travel sites and came across Vacations To Go ("VTG"). I was surprised at how few reviews there were about what looked to be an online travel agency with very extensive cruise offerings. There is a long thread on TripAdvisor about this company. It began in 2006 with numerous threads defaming and supporting VTG up until 2015 when the forum was closed in 2015 due to some inflammatory posts that got off topic. I have cruised previously with Viking Ocean Cruises, Princess and Norwegian so I am not new to cruising.

I cannot speak to some poster's negative experiences on this website, but I felt compelled to write this review because thus far I have had a very pleasant experience and would recommend VTG. Thus far, I have had a dedicated travel agent who returns my calls and emails promptly. I searched what appeared to be at least 10 competing cruise sites and NO ONE could compare to the price that I got on VTG. I recently put a deposit on a high end all-inclusive luxury cruise line.

I think with all things that you need to be BUYER BEWARE and to do your research. Read forums and know that people with negative experiences are more likely to post complaints than those who have had positive experiences. I will write a follow up report after my cruise in October 2016, but thus far, I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. I put my money where my mouth is. I have committed to spending over $8,000 for a 7-day cruise with VTG. No, I am not a shill, employee or marketing person for this company. I write for a living and am periodically inspired to write reviews.

I've never been treated worse. They don't call you back. They don't price match like they say they do. I will never use refer these people. Even the manager was a jerk. They gave me ** because they booked the wrong flight then cancelled my vacation and wouldn't call my bank to release the charges so I could book somewhere else. BEWARE.

This agent sent out a warning concerning the Zika Virus being in some of the ports that we were going to. We were very concerned since we were not sure what the medical consequences may be as more information was released about this virus so based on their warning we canceled our cruise. We had trip cancellation insurance with CSA Travel Protection but they have denied our claim. All of the reviews that I saw concerning claims were also denied for one reason or another. CSA is a scam and should be put out of business. Vacations To Go gave us a partial refund but we have still lost $1099.00 due to their warning.

Me, my son, and my granddaughter went on a Disney cruise. We booked thru Vacations To Go. It was obvious the person taking the reservation did not know anything about the ship. I always get concierge service and am willing to pay more for it. This operator was way too inexperienced. I kept having to call back over and over and get his boss. He kept saying "Well that will add to the trip." I paid for the concierge service only to discover that I DID NOT have it when I got on the trip, did not like the accommodations at all. We were put in with the masses and waited in long lines.

Book directly. They couldn't help on the ship because we did not directly book thru them. I was very disappointed in the cruise. Disney at no new characters. They had Mary Poppins show that my children couldn't relate to and have not upgraded their characters at all. No Ariel, no Beauty and Beast, no Lion King. They had a picture taking sessions with the princesses and with Anna Frozen but the princess was overweight and not friendly. I would never book with these people again!!! Horrible!!! No one got back to me when I called them from the ship. I kept getting an excuse that "He no longer works here" or "He was on vacation!!!"

12/1/2015 - Vacations to Go. Family cruise, Nov. 26 to Dec 1, 2015, Brilliance of the Seas, Tampa - 15 Family Members. I am sharing this summary of our cruise experience so you may share with your colleagues and Royal Caribbean to assist with future bookings so you and Royal Caribbean have a better understanding of the product. You & they are marketing. Based on our experience it is obvious you have no idea what you are providing your customers. Please keep in mind that I am a Platinum member of the Crown and Anchor Club. 8 previous Cruises with Royal Caribbean. Also sharing with others to prevent anyone from incurring the disappointment we experienced. It is obvious, based on our discussion with you - our expectations were way too high.

Cabins: As you are aware we arranged for one two-bedroom Suite, 3 Deluxe outside cabins with Balconies and 2 Inside cabins. The two bedroom suite We confirmed with you, our travel consultant. The bedrooms were of the same size, the bathrooms and shower facilities would be within the sleeping areas, both bedrooms plus both Cabins and the common area would have a television. The Balcony would be a wrap around balcony. The Sleeping rooms in the two bedroom Suite, Cabin7672, on Brilliance of The Seas are not the same size. One contains a queen size bed, The 2nd sleeping area has two very small beds, one light in the room and NO television. The Bathroom is located outside the sleeping areas resulting in very little privacy. The balcony was only large enough for one chair one small table and a very small lounge chair. It was wrap around however there was only access to 25% of the Balcony.

Deluxe outside cabins: As requested one of the outside cabins was handicapped accessible. This cabin was of ample size one chair and one bed consisting of two small single size beds combined to make a very small queen size bed. 2 Deluxe outside with a balcony, did not have chairs (had to move one of the chairs from the small balcony inside to sit on) consisted of one bed, consisting of two small single size beds combined to make a very small queen size bed. No access to roll away beds etc. Two inside cabins were just that, two beds, very small, one table light. The family members sharing these cabins had difficulty sleeping because they were 59 - too tall to comfortably fit in the beds. Very disappointing.

Dinner: As you are aware you confirmed early seating for dinner for 15 (the family members traveling on this cruise). We presented ourselves to the head waiter at 6PM, he curtly told us they were unable to accommodate us there were no reservations for early seating for us. Did not matter - we had paperwork with us.

Finally after being embarrassed by delaying other guests we were able to escalate the issue to someone who could make a decision and they did seat us, two tables one at one end of the dining room the other at the other end. It was obvious they have the capability of seating 15 at one table. There were no less than three families traveling with 15 or more all seated together one table. What I will say is the staff (worker bees) including Dinner wait staff were terrific. Overall, very disappointed with Vacations to Go. You provide an expedited process for reservations. However based on our experience you have no idea what you are providing.

On October, 26, 2015, I called Vacations To Go on a recommendation to book our honeymoon in Punta Cana. I spoke with Tex who took all our information and we gave him the resort we were interested in and the dates. He then asked for our full names and DOBs and said he was going to call us back shortly. 2 hrs later, still not call back and it was getting late so I took the initiative and called only to get his voicemail. I then called back and spoke with Annette who asked for my phone number and said there was nothing in the system under my cell or home numbers and said she would speak with Tex's supervisor and have them call me back.

1 hr went by and then Tex called back saying he could not secure the flight we needed and at that point we were so negatively drained that we told him we were no longer interested. But then we decided to take the more expensive flight as we really wanted this for our honeymoon and I called him back and left a voicemail for him to call back and we never heard from him again. This truly turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as we booked our trip to Punta Cana with Cheapcaribbbean.com and got a much cheaper price and also got seats on that original flight, but I reached out to the CEO, Allan Fox from Vacations To go who said he would investigate and have someone get back to me and that was 1 week ago. So I had to relay this to other prospective customers of Vacations To Go.

It is unfortunate to say that we are very unhappy with the service from Vacations To Go. Previously, we have been happy, so we attempted to book another cruise. I was working with a certain travel counselor who had quoted me a great price on Thursday for a cruise to the Caribbean. When I then called to book the cruise with him on Friday, he told me he would prefer to book the cruise on Monday as he was going to be leaving work in about 15 minutes. I informed him that would be fine as long as we would be guaranteed the same price as we were ready to book now. He then took our names and birthdays in what we believed, was the plan to hold the rooms.

Then today, Monday, when we spoke to conclude the booking, the cruise price had increased and he told us there was nothing he could do to get us the original price he quoted. I reminded him the WE had called him on Friday to book the cruise but he had PREFERRED to do it Monday as he wanted to leave work soon. We gave him the 4 travelers names and birth dates to place it on hold, but apparently he did not.

I then emailed Vacations to Go to deal with this issue, feeling fairly confident that our situation would somehow, in some way be resolved so we could continue utilizing Vacations to Go. Unfortunately, the manager said there was nothing that could be done and that without names and birth dates (which we had provided), they couldn't have put them on hold. The problem is, WE had called to book on Friday, we spoke to the travel counselor who wanted to go home instead, he did not book our rooms as we initially called for but then did not even put the rooms on hold as we understood he was going to.

The manager expressed understanding our disappointment but made no attempt to apologize for how this worker dealt with our situation (preferring to go home rather than book a cruise for a customer???). This manager actually told us to "call (the same worker) and he can continue to help us and monitor the cruise for us." How is this even close to helping a return customer?? This was so unprofessional and disappointing. I expected so much more. When a worker makes an error, the company should stand by servicing their customers. Vacations To Go has been good in the past, but unfortunately, their customer service is very poor when one of their employees handled the situation appallingly.

My name is Sorrell Warren, VP, Agent Service Evolution at Vacations To Go. I regret there was a problem in holding a cabin for you initially. In reviewing your reservation I apologize that there was some confusion in the requirements by the cruise line in order to put cabins on hold. I do see that we were able to get you booked on the cruise at the price that you originally discussed. I am pleased that this worked out well for you and your family and I hope that you have a wonderful cruise.

HORRIBLE… We had 6 family members denied boarding because they didn't have Canadian visas for trip to Alaska from Seattle. I made it very clear to the sales rep, and asked what exactly will they need to take this cruise. He said if they have Nigerian passports and USA visa, that was all they needed. BS!!... They came all the way from Africa for a family vacation. Not only did they give us false info, but I had asked for 2 outside with decks, and 1 outside suite with deck so 4 people could sleep in that larger room. Found out they gave us no suite, but an outside regular size room with a window!! I have booked many cruises in the past, and I have never dealt with such a misinformed sales rep Mr.**!! They are not offering me anything for their huge mistake. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR CRUISES!!
