My experience with Turo before was great but this time has been incredibly frustrating and honestly pretty disappointing. It started with the host trying to get me to pay a cleaning fee off-platform, which I knew wasn’t allowed, so I reported it and asked him to go thru the platform. After that, things only got worse. Turo Support first charged me a $150 cleaning fee. I disputed it right away and sent photos showing the car was clean when I returned it. I then asked for new photos from the host and Turo. Instead of actually reviewing what I sent, they came back with a completely different charge a $154.50 pet fee.

What’s frustrating is that none of this adds up: The car was listed as “pet friendly” , I even have a screenshot of it and it is still listed as pet friendly. The photos they sent show blonde pet hair, but my dog is a black, short-haired pit bull. Support couldn’t even clearly explain whether the charge was for cleaning or for a pet violation. Then, to make things even more confusing, the final decision email said the issue was a “bugs on the outside” of the car, which in the original listing and policy clearly stated that we don’t need to clean the outside.

At this point, it feels like the reason for the charge keeps changing depending on what’s convenient. No one actually addressed my evidence, and the host’s attempt to collect money off-platform was never seriously looked into. Overall, this experience felt really unfair and poorly handled. It honestly makes it hard to trust the platform, and I’d be very cautious about using Turo again.

First and last time Turo user. After reserving a car for a month at $2300, we learned a couple of days later that American Express and Allstate do not cover Turo cars, so we cancelled the reservation. Then realized their 24-hour cancellation policy. Our refund request was first denied, then an agent offered a new reservation using these funds. No problem. When calling as instructed to renew the reservation, the agent stated that the other agent was new and provided false information. Amateurs! We are in the middle of the fight, also enlisting American Express as an ally. Never ever will we consider turo!

I rented a non refundable van from Turo on Feb. 11 for three days. Subsequently I had to change my plans and wanted to change it to two days with a pick up on 12th. I checked with the host if I would get a credit for one days and he assured me (documented in the Turo app) that I would. Then after I changed, they asked me to pay a transportation fee of $147 - nobody told me about this. Eventually they ended up charging me for the original three days and the transportation charge. So, for two days I had to pay for the original three and the transportation charge. I thought this was very unfair and all the customer service people agreed but nobody would give me the credit.

I like this idea in theory, but in practice if you need to cancel a trip they offer no support and no refunds, even as a credit. I will not be using Turo again and will stick to real car rental companies.

Just rented a Turo for my fourth time last week. Everything was okay-ish until I got charged an additional $150 a day or two later without my prior consent. Supposedly, I had violated their cleanliness policy and had a pet in the vehicle, which I absolutely did not. So I returned the car on time, fully filled up. Took lots of interior pictures and hopped on my plane. Upon landing, I received a message asking whether I had a dog or a cat in the car as his son was highly allergic. I replied, "Never had an animal in the car, as I know that has to be approved ahead of time. There was some dog hair on my backpack, but I didn't notice it left any in the car. It couldn't have been much, but my sincere apologies."

The host said there was significant pet hair in the vehicle and provided photos backing that up. There is absolutely no way "significant" could have been true from my use of the vehicle, as there was never an animal in the car while I had it rented. My brother, whom I was visiting in Port Charlotte, does have a dog that sheds. I was surprised when looking at my backpack while waiting for my return flight to see dog hair on it. Quite possibly, there was some dog hair on our clothes that was left on a seat as we were in and out of the vehicle, probably a dozen times. But absolutely no way could there have been anything considered "significant" or abusive of the vehicle's use.

Actually, because I am short, I had moved the seat way far forward. When checking the car upon its return, I found litter under the seat - not mine - that I removed so it couldn't be attributed to me. If I had any concern about pet hair, I would have taken a bit of duct tape and gotten rid of it easily in two minutes time before starting back to the airport from Port Charlotte. Or bought some at the gas station when I filled up, had I noticed it then.

They eventually provided me the host's photos provided as proof of my violating the no pet policy, and there is no way that was from my trip or my brother's dog. I would have noticed that amount of hair shown in the pics and not risked having a problem!!! Also, my brother's dog has short, tan, non-curly fur; the fur in the pictures is long, white and curly. When looking at the photos in my trip of the car condition when I returned it, I am at a loss to see any dog fur whatsoever! I don't think anyone at Turo even looked at my photos, just accepted his as gospel!

My guess is that the host was a little upset that I didn't give him a 5-star review; I stated in my review that he wasn't as communicative as he could be, the front driver tire had air pressure problems, and the car needs new wiper blades. Something smells fishy!!! Has he made claims like this in the past? Are these perhaps the same pix he's used in the past?

As a long-term host of rental properties on VRBO and Furnished Finder for the last 12 years, I am quite familiar with the personal rental industry and the responsibilities of both host and renter. I have used Turo previously with great reviews attributed to me, both in my name and a friend I rented with. There is an extreme amount of pride taken in how I leave my rentals (house or car) and when I offer my own rental to my guests.

I am a 65-year-old grandma with a strong work and cleanliness ethic - leaving a dog hair-ridden car is NOTHING I would ever do. Now, when reading others' reviews, I'm glad they only charged me an extra $150, nothing higher. What a nightmare for some of you! My account is now closed, and I will never use them again.

Very disappointing experience. I’ve been a loyal user and went out of my way in good faith to help resolve an issue (when it wasn’t my responsibility), but it felt like my time and effort didn’t matter. The situation could have been handled easily and for a very small amount. I simply wanted my effort to be appreciated, yet neither the host nor Turo showed fairness or appreciation—something they emphasize heavily in their policies. It was surprising to see something so minor handled so poorly. I’ve been using Turo for over 8 years and have never been treated this way. The platform is great, but this experience made me lose trust. I hope they improve how they treat their loyal customers.

As a first time using Turo, I was excited to rent something nice for my work trip to Cincinnati. The host helped me when I was in a pinch to get a last minute rental since my car is not in the best condition to drive long distances. I picked up the car at 8pm and drove straight to Cincinnati. I stayed at the hotel overnight and my job was only 4 minutes from the hotel. After my workshop was completed, I stopped to get gas. The car was a Maserati with a Ferrari engine, so I had to use premium gas which was more expensive. It was fine but it added up of course. I reached out to the host to let him know that my time rolled over for my workshop so I was gonna be a little behind on the drop off. The host told me I could extend the rental time. That’s what I did but when I tried to extend it further than an extra 30 minutes, it listed a higher charge.

I communicated with the host and he told me it would only be $20 for a late fee. I was an hour behind because I was trusting in what the host was saying and I had to stop again to get gas so he can have a full tank again when dropped off. He sent me an invoice once I left or the usage charge and I was charged 0.63 cents per mile. Mind you he has other vehicles that have higher mileage than what he offered me. Of course I saw that after I dropped the car off. I was charged for an extra 272 miles which came out to $176 for the incidental charges. I just let it go and paid it.

Then I saw the entire receipt and overall I paid over $500 for an overnight trip. I reached out to the host and he left me on read. I reached out to Turo customer support and they said they will reach out to the host regarding the invoice. The host charged me for additional usage and Turo charged me for an administrative fee of $20. Since I was an hour late for drop off. He charged me $86. He doubled down with turo and basically got my claim denied. I was overcharged for a 1 day trip. I will never be using turo again. They aren’t honest nor are they clear with how they handle the app and customer concerns. I left a false review because I thought the host was great but I wish I could take it back because I got cheated out of a lot of money.

I genuinely like the Turo concept and have had positive experiences. But the true measure of any company/platform is how it responds when something goes wrong. In the case of my recent rental, that standard was not met. Serious concerns began on my second day of the rental when mechanical and operational issues started to surface. The heating system malfunctioned, seat warmers did not work, an oil change notification indicated service was due immediately, and a check engine light with associated warning remained on.

More significantly, the vehicle failed to start on two separate occasions. The second incident left us stranded in a parking lot. The host suggested the vehicle may have been disabled via a kill switch, but could not confirm. At that point, given the reliability risk during a scheduled vacation, we could not safely continue using it. Each issue was documented and shared with the host in real time. After the first few events, the host offered a partial refund if we wanted to keep it. After the failure to start and significant time trying to resolve the issue, the host offered a full refund due to the inconvenience and reliability concerns. I accepted and said I would still try to start the vehicle to return it. I did so with a full tank of fuel and reconfirmed that a full refund was being initiated.

Two days later, approximately one-third of the rental amount was refunded. When I followed up with the host, I was told that was all Turo would approve. Because the vehicle could not be relied upon to start, we were forced to use Uber for roughly a day and a half, incurring over $500 in additional transportation costs and still paying for parking for the rental. I was prepared to absorb those costs based on the explicit promise of a full refund.

Mechanical failures, repeated no-start incidents, active warning lights, and a refund clearly offered and accepted should result in full accountability. Instead, Turo limited the refund to the host’s portion of the cost and retained its fees despite a documented breakdown in service and reliability. Anyone can operate smoothly when transactions are seamless. Integrity shows up when honoring a commitment comes at a cost. In this case, Turo chose to protect its fees rather than fully stand behind its customer. For that reason, I can no longer support or recommend Turo.

After using Turo for three years on multiple business trips, this experience has caused me to leave the platform entirely. The vehicle I rented was a BMW X5, in my view, a complete death trap. It was not safe to be on the road. The brake warning light was already on at pickup, and I was told not to worry about it. Shortly after leaving, additional warning lights appeared. The vehicle had not been serviced in over 60,000 miles since 2024 or beyond based on the dashboard information. While driving in negative weather toward Dutchess County, the car began overheating and repeatedly stalled on the highway. It was later clear the vehicle was completely out of coolant.

I narrowly avoided multiple accidents due to the stalling and braking issues. I ultimately became stranded in Millbrook in below-freezing temperatures at night, more than three hours from the airport, waiting for a tow truck. During this extremely stressful situation, the host was argumentative and dismissive. While I was on the phone trying to resolve a serious safety issue, loud club music was playing in the background and the host was speaking to others instead of focusing on the situation. I felt my safety and health were not taken seriously. The host also made statements blaming me for issues that were clearly pre-existing. Based on my experience, I do not believe I was given honest information about the vehicle’s condition.

Despite providing photo and video evidence of the mechanical failures, I was issued only a partial refund. Considering the significant safety risk and the fact that I was stranded in freezing weather, I do not believe this resolution was appropriate. This situation was more expensive, more dangerous, and far more stressful than renting from a traditional rental company. I strongly advise anyone considering Turo to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and proceed with caution.

Beyond this single incident, I have started noticing a troubling pattern on the platform — many vehicles appear to be high-mileage cars with significant wear and unresolved mechanical issues. This experience has made me question how thoroughly vehicles are maintained and inspected. What is especially concerning is that when serious mechanical problems arise, the burden can quickly shift to the renter. In situations like this, you may find yourself being blamed for pre-existing issues and facing the possibility that you — and your insurance — could be held financially responsible for repairs that stem from underlying vehicle neglect. That risk is something renters should seriously consider. I will be posting my documented evidence publicly so others can make informed decisions.

We contacted customer service (you can only contact them by chat). We spent over 7 hours with customer service that day. Spoke with several agents, but no resolution. They ended our chat. We had to go rent another vehicle with Enterprise. The next day, we started another chat. The agent found that our email on their end was incorrect. That mistake kept them from confirming us. They stated that they would refund our remaining three days of rental. No refund has been issued. Contact them again. They will review our case, we also sent screenshots of previous conversations with customer service. They declined our refund.

Disappointing that Turo is unclear about what “on-site” parking is at Denver International Airport. Very surprised to discover “on-site” includes The Parking Spot South, which requires a 17 minute shuttle ride, once the shuttle arrives (which can take up to 15min), and then once at their lot you need to wait for all of the other guests to be dropped off at their cars (another 10min for us). The app should specify “on-site” parking or “offsite parking - requires a shuttle”. At this time it’s extremely unclear and I would say misleading. The Parking Spot South alternative parking is a great idea and very helpful to many people, but it adds minimally, 30 minutes and probably more. It’s also less convenient if you want to pick people up at the airport after you take possession of the car or if you want to drop people off at the airport before you turn the car in.

I have reached out to customer service multiple times for my refund and they keep saying "management will contact you for your refund". It's been over 2 weeks, after speaking with customer service every other day, and they keep saying "it will happen" and "management will contact you". Nothing. No contact from management and it's clear they are pocketing my $750 hoping I'll just move on. I booked a rental on July 2,2025 for an upcoming snow ski trip on February 8th, 2026. My reservation was cancelled by the host on January 14th. The host said it was due to a recall. They host later informed me they had known about the recall since October. The host did not offer to switch me to a different vehicle or compensate me for the added associated costs of renting a vehicle only 3 weeks out. Turo, company used as the middle man said they did not owe me any compensation because the car was “defective” and this per their policy I am not owed for the compensation for having to book another car only 3 weeks out.

I asked about their policy regarding when should the host notify the customer that a recall has been issued and I receive no response. I also cannot leave a review for Travel Go bc the host cancelled vs. me finishing the trip and reviewing the host. This flaw in Turo’s system leaves companies such as Travel Go to be predatory in their cancellations without recourse. There is not a way for me to publicly review Travel Go so as to prevent others from having my same issue. Turo is not doing anything to make a quality assurance change to protect the consumer. I want Turo to put policies in place that prevent customers like me from being railroaded by hosts.

The level of accountability towards hosts from Turo is deplorable. I was told over and over that there was nothing that Turo could do to remedy this situation. So as far as I know it, a host can book a car at a discounted price, cancel the car closer to the time of the trip and then switch you to another car for a higher price, all within the policies of Turo? The nature of this complaint is to prevent this type of behavior and allow for a more smooth transaction. I want Turo to be successful but they dropped the ball on this one!

However, it seems that currently, Turo has prioritized profits over everything else. I have made numerous calls to have unlawful charges removed from my account, as well as income from a customer who has rented my car for more than two weeks.

Turo now employs a workforce of foreigners who are not well-versed in English or do not comprehend American customer service standards. I have asked to speak with a native American representative, but the agent informed me that he could not assist me. How is it possible for an American company to lack American representatives in customer service? At this point, I feel compelled to make these issues public and/or reach out to the American Federal government regarding the problems I am facing with Turo. I have invested countless hours trying to articulate my concerns, only to receive the same unsatisfactory outcome. Customer service will just put the call on hold when ask to speak with an american citizen. Companies lose sight of their core values, it inevitably leads to their downfall.

Turo is extremely risky and can cost you enormous amounts of money, as it did for me. A big warning about this service. Rent a car from a traditional rental company instead. I booked a car through the Turo app from a host with a 4.9 rating. We reserved the car for our winter holiday. When we landed in Tampa on December 26, I was informed by the host that Turo had canceled the booking, not the host. Turo’s only response was, ‘Sorry, all cars are booked.’ We were left stranded at the airport with three children, completely abandoned by Turo. They did nothing to resolve the situation, offered no contact or compensation.

We went to every car rental company at Tampa Airport, but all cars were rented out. Eventually, we managed to find an old minivan, but it cost us almost $3,000 more than our original booking. They clearly took advantage of people in desperate situations. Think twice before using Turo. They can simply cancel your car booking when you arrive, leaving you to deal with the consequences.

To the Turo Team, I am submitting this review to provide detailed feedback regarding a recent rental experience that resulted in significant financial, procedural, and reputational harm. I am rating this experience one star due to serious failures in Turo’s claims and enforcement process.

    Rental Details:
    • Reservation ID: **
    • Vehicle: 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage
    • Rental Dates: November 10–17, 2025

    • Miles Driven: 724 miles

I rented the vehicle on November 10, 2025, and returned it in good condition on November 17, 2025. Upon return, I reported a slow acceleration issue with the vehicle, which the host, Mr. Odane **, acknowledged as characteristic of the car. No new damage was documented or reported at that time.

    Post-Trip Claim and Actions:

    • On November 17, 2025, Mr. Facey submitted a Turo post-trip claim asserting the vehicle was inoperable, without providing pre-rental inspection records or evidence linking the issue to my use.

    • On December 5, 2025, Mr. Facey provided a Snap-On diagnostic report showing code P0796 (CVT primary pressure solenoid malfunction), which is an internal mechanical issue inconsistent with renter-caused damage.

    • On December 11, 2025, Facey relied on an inspection from “MPM Automotive LLC,” an entity inactive under Florida law, which did not establish pre-rental condition or renter-caused damage.
    • Turo sent post-trip claim notifications with the “damage areas” field left blank, obscuring the allegation and preventing a meaningful response.

    • Between November 18 and December 20, 2025, Turo repeatedly demanded $500, threatened collections and credit reporting, restricted my account, and issued communications that felt retaliatory, including notices on December 9 and December 12.

Impact on Me as a Renter:

    • Loss of Turo account access and rental opportunities
    • Exposure to threatened financial liability ($500 claim and potential transmission replacement costs of $2,500–$4,500)
    • Substantial time and travel (296 miles) addressing claims

    • Emotional stress and reputational harm

    Key Issues Observed:

    1. Claims were enforced without clear documentation or identification of damage.
    2. Automated enforcement and shifting deadlines created confusion and hardship.
    3. No independent evaluation or meaningful opportunity to dispute the claim was provided.

    4. Communications from Turo included threats and coercion despite evidence of a pre-existing mechanical issue.

    Suggestions for Improvement:

    1. Require hosts to provide pre- and post-rental evidence, including diagnostics for mechanical issues.
    2. Provide independent or third-party evaluations when claims involve internal components.
    3. Ensure renters can respond to claims before enforcement, including account restrictions or billing.
    4. Avoid threatening or automated communications that lack verified evidence.

    5. Establish internal oversight to verify claims before enforcement.

This experience has highlighted serious deficiencies in Turo’s claims process. I hope Turo considers these recommendations to improve transparency, fairness, and renter protection, which will ultimately strengthen trust in the platform.

I had an extremely disappointing and expensive experience renting through Turo, primarily due to serious safety issues and how the situation was handled afterward. I rented a Mercedes AMG SUV for a trip to New Hampshire. I completed all required check-in steps and documented the vehicle’s condition. Two days into the trip, while driving about 40 MPH in the mountains, the front right tire blew out, putting my passengers and me in a dangerous situation.

I contacted Turo immediately. Instead of using their paid tow option, I used AAA. During the tow, the driver pointed out that both front tires were severely worn, with metal threading visibly exposed—clear evidence of significant pre-existing wear. Anyone with basic automotive knowledge would know this could not have happened during the roughly 250 miles I drove. Because this occurred on a Sunday and my group needed to get home to Connecticut for work, I was forced to make last-minute arrangements, costing me $680 for towing and $1,000 for alternative transportation.

After investigating, Turo initially told me the damage was due to prior wear and tear and that I was not responsible. Shockingly, about an hour later they reversed that decision, reopened the claim, and charged my card $500, repeatedly telling me I was “not at fault but financially responsible,” which makes no sense. I eventually contacted a consumer advocacy group, which helped recover $804 in partial refunds, but I am still out $1,680 due to a vehicle that should never have been rented in that condition.

This experience showed me that Turo’s vehicle safety oversight and claims process are deeply flawed. Renting a car with dangerously worn tires is unacceptable, and holding the renter financially responsible for a pre-existing safety issue is even worse. I would strongly caution anyone considering using Turo—especially for long trips or mountain driving.

I left the parking ticket above the visor.... which to me makes sense. There we no specific instructions on where to leave it. I disputed the charge with the hosts and Turo customer service. I was denied and told I should have taken a picture of the ticket. Nowhere in the drop off instructions, didn’t specify where it say to take a picture of the parking ticket?!?! Seems like they are trying to sweeten their pot after your rental is complete.

First of all Steph’s rental did not give me good directions to find the vehicle. They just gave the address. But I needed to know the hotel so I could use the shuttle. It took a long time. I finally found an information desk. They found the hotel and directed me to the hotel. Then my daughter and I were dropped off in the middle of a big parking lot and had to search for the car. The car was old and did not have gps or Bluetooth. The cord they provided was old and stopped working half way through the trip. So we had to purchase a new one. Luckily my friend that met us knew where a gas station was because both mine and my daughter’s phone died because we were using our phone gps because the vehicle had no gps.

Then my friend that helped us had hoped in the car with us to find a gas station. She had a small dog. The dog left a bit of foot print and a bit of fur. They charged me $180 to have the vehicle cleaned. No rental cars company charges a cleaning fee. It’s very common for rental cars to be returned dirty. But this car was very clean. Very slight dirt. Steph’s rental and Turo don’t seem to value their customers. I won't use them again.

There is no way to review a host unless you actually get the car so be aware of the 5 Star Rating as it doesn't mean a thing. I was on the phone with Turo for a very frustrating long time with no resolution.

I’ve used Turo more than 10 times over the years without a single issue, but my most recent experience was unbelievable and extremely disappointing. I had a confirmed reservation (Reservation #**) scheduled for November 1–4, 2025 at the Pensacola Airport. When I arrived, Turo’s system suddenly refused to verify my identity—even though my account has been active and verified for years. I spent nearly three hours on the phone with Turo support while they tried (and failed) to figure out why their system malfunctioned. No one could explain the problem, and no solution was provided. Because of this, I was completely locked out of the vehicle I had already booked and paid for.

With no help from Turo and no way to access the car, I was forced to rent a vehicle last-minute from an airport agency at a much higher cost. To make matters worse, after their own system prevented me from using the vehicle, Turo still attempted to charge me for the rental. I have never been treated like this by Turo before, and the situation was handled poorly from start to finish. Their verification failure, lack of answers, and attempt to bill me for a car I never even touched was unacceptable. I hope they address these system issues so no one else ends up stranded the way I did.

We were only provided a valet key and when we addressed this with the host she yelled and was very rude. Yelled at us and made us concerned for our safety. She said no one had ever complained about using only a valet key? In addition we were tracked the entire rental with an Apple AirTag- this is against policy with Turo. When we addressed this with Turo customer service they said there was nothing they could do. This is a company that does not care about their customer base and because of this experience we will never rent from Turo again. Your safety in a poorly maintained car, a rude host and poor customer care is not worth the risk.

Turo is by far the most shady business I have ever done business with, will not repeat. Never have I experienced the absolute runaround this company has given me. We booked a Turo, well in advance, and had a death in the family which caused a funeral to attend the same day we were supposed to pick up our Turo. This trip was with friends, so there were 4 other people that were all licensed drivers available to pick up the Turo I booked.

Two weeks before our trip, I reached out to the host/owner and let them know of our issue, they said no problem, just have one of the other people in your party upload their information to be approved to drive and pick up the vehicle. Seems simple, but Turo does not allow anyone but the person who booked the vehicle to take delivery of it, apparently unknown to the host/owner of the Turo we booked.

The day of our trip, which we were not at the funeral in another part of the country as our friends were flying to the destination to enjoy the trip we had all planned, they received information they could not pick the vehicle up, only I could. I dealt with constant interruption during the funeral trying to get this resolved for our friends. They were also trying to get it resolved on their end. All to no avail. We ended up having to cancel, that took a fight, but I did get refunded for the amount of the vehicle, but we still had to get another vehicle rented that would fit 6 adults and luggage for when we joined the group a day later as to rebook the same Turo was going to cost os twice what the original booking cost. My friends did find another vehicle at a better cost than what Turo was going to charge me to rebook the exact same vehicle, even still, it was about $300 more than my original booking, but less than half as much as rebooking the original Turo even though Turo told us it would be a nominal difference. Apparently, twice as much is nominal...

I have had constant contact with Turo, who has agreed to refund me the difference in cost on 4 occasions now, yet has not posted the credit to my credit card as they repeatedly said they would. We are not almost 2 months in trying to get what I feel is a nominal refund that Turo’s reps have told is approved, yet Turo has not followed through. This is a runaround from what I now believe is a shady company at best. I will never do business with this company and would strongly urge anyone that reads this to do the same. There are quite a few public reviews of people having issues with refunds from Turo.

On October 10th 2025, my family and I experienced an unacceptable and distressing situation caused by Turo. Three weeks after our vehicle reservation was confirmed and fully paid for, Turo abruptly canceled the booking while we were in flight. Initially, Turo representatives claimed there was an issue with our credit card payment and that they had never received the funds. After confirming with my credit card company, I learned this statement was false—Turo had in fact received payment, as evidenced by the partial refund they later issued.

When confronted with this discrepancy, Turo changed their explanation, claiming the cancellation was due to a software glitch following a system update and that the host’s vehicle was no longer available. However, the host stated the cancellation came directly from Turo and the vehicle was indeed still listed and available. Despite repeated communication, Turo’s customer service offered no assistance, provided inconsistent and misleading explanations, and ultimately told us there was nothing they could do after leaving us with no vehicle for our vacation.

Their representatives were dismissive and unhelpful, leaving us stranded during a holiday weekend when no other rental options were available. Turo retained a partial payment for a service they did not deliver, and as a result, I had to file a dispute with my credit card company and report this incident as fraudulent activity. This conduct demonstrates a lack of honesty, accountability, and customer care. After doing some research on the internet, I've discovered that this is a very common situation with Turo. I am requesting the BBB to review this matter and take appropriate action to hold Turo responsible for these unethical business practices.

The day my 1.5 month-long trip started, my insurance called me back to apologize for giving me bad information and said that they DID cover a Turo rental. Turo is only as good as the individuals who put their cars up for rent through Turo. And, there are ways car owners can cheat the system and this hurts those renting cars. For example, we recently rented a car that was 1.3 miles away from where it was supposed to be, something they did to make it seem it was closer to the airport. We've also had cars where the owner, I am sure, has multiple claims through Turo on it, but instead of fixing it leaves the scrapes and keeps making money off autobody invoices.

Bad apples ruin it for everyone. I am sure the same could be said of some renters. But after taking into account the $1200 I had to pay to fix a 3 inch scratch that I don't know when or how it happened (it was on the side of the back door like someone opened a door into it in the parking lot), it doesn't save money using Turo and just is more hassle. And that isn't for fixing the car, it is the owner's scam to make money. Sadly, our world has more folks who are emboldened to cheat the system these days and until Turo develops systems to stop this, I will rent from car rental companies.

The host was not waiting at the airport to receive the car and sent a fueling receipt with a timestamp long after the grace period, which clearly shows that no loss, cost, or inconvenience was caused by the extra few minutes. I have been a Turo customer since 2023 and was a regular renter until April of 2025. My last rental was April 20-23, 2025. My dealings and interactions with hosts have been nothing but positive. My complaint is about Turo corporate and their ability or inability to handle a claim. On this trip, someone backed into me. The details were input into the claim report I made on Turo, as well as backed up by the police report, which I submitted to both Turo and the owner of the vehicle as soon as I obtained it from the police department. The accident was not my fault and my insurance was never involved. The claim went through the insurance company of the individual who hit me.

Turo put a block on my account that prevented me from making another rental unless I paid a fee of $3000. For an accident that was not my fault and that the police report stated was not my fault. I spoke with someone back in early May and they explained that would stay on my account until the vehicle was repaired and returned to the owner and Turo had verification that it had been resolved. This does not make any sense at all... A customer should not be punished for something that was not their responsibility and for something that outside insurance was paying for. However, I didn't have a choice, so I accepted it. I was told this process would take no more than 3 months. Which again, is insane, but whatever.

After 3 months, the situation was still not resolved. I called Turo and spoke with someone, who told me that they didn't have verification that the claim had been paid and didn't have the subrogation information from the insurance company. I spoke with the owner of the vehicle, who verified that the vehicle has been repaired and returned to him. In fact, the vehicle is also now listed as available on Turo again. I spoke with the agent at the insurance company that paid the claim, who informed me that two payments had been made, one to the owner of the vehicle and one to the body shop. He gave me the dates those payments had been made. I also asked him to ensure that the subrogation information was sent over. He informed me that had already been done, but that he would request another copy of it be sent over. I then called Turo back and gave them all of this information.

It has now been more than 5 months. Turo still has a hold on my account. I am still not able to rent until I pay a $3000 fee. At this point, I'm questioning the ethics of this company. The body shop has been paid. The owner of the vehicle has been paid and has the vehicle back and is again making money on the vehicle. So this $3000 Turo is demanding of me is for who? I'm guessing Turo pockets that?

I've called and spoken to Customer Service. They tell me that they see that an email has been sent to the department that handles the subrogation information, but there's no response from them and no one has done anything about updating the information to clear my account. It was recommended to me today that I once again call the insurance company and obtain proof from them of the payments made for the repair of the vehicle. This is information that I obtained and provided to Turo TWO months ago. I am not sure why I'm being asked to do this again. For that matter, I'm not sure why I am being asked to do the job of YOUR company.

I'm so far beyond frustrated at this point. I want my account cleared. I prefer to keep my money local and would rather spend my rental money with members of my community than large corporations. However, in the next two months, I will be making approximately 6-8 work trips coming up that I need to rent vehicles for and at this point, will need to look at taking my money elsewhere. Additionally, if I'm not able to resolve this, I'll be lodging formal complaints with whatever authorities I can. I would appreciate an actual resolution to this situation, as well as speaking with someone who can actually get the situation resolved, instead of continuing to speak with people who tell me that they can't do anything about it and can't give me any answers and can't speak with anyone who can give me any answers.

For our first time using the app, we rented a 2011 Chrysler 200 out of Portland, OR from Jacob B. The pretrip photos he submitted didn't match the car's condition when we picked it up and took our own photos and video. This rightly raised our suspicions right off the bat. Sure enough, after turning in the car and taking post trip photos, we got a notification from the owner that we had caused damage. We knew then this was a scammer. Long story short, don't agree to settle anything directly with owner because you have no way to refute or challenge them. Jacob tried really hard to get us to work with him directly saying when you go through Turo they tack on extraordinary fees. Maybe so but it's the only way to challenge scams like Jacob's.

We got Turo involved and in the end, the damage charges were dropped only because we documented the car so well and called Jacob's scam out. He not only makes money renting out his many many cars he has in the rental pool but pads those dollars with more dollars from damage claims. Turo encouraged us to work directly with Jacob too, but our lawyer said, "Protect yourself." So we will not be using Turo again and encourage others to beware if you choose to. Upholding the host's dishonesty demonstrates a severe lack of integrity and allows its hosts to steal customers' hard-earned money. **Bad business- I strongly advise everyone to seek other rental services.** I will not spend another cent with a company that tolerates this level of deceit from its hosts and stands by it.

-The customer service/support at Turo has been an on going nightmare for me. After an unsafe vehicle was rented to me and broke down mid trip, Turo directed me to put the car on a tow truck and I'll have a replacement within 2 hours maximum. I was left in remote area in AZ with no replacement car and no cares from the support team. I was directed by their team to find a 3rd party rental, get myself home then submit for reimbursement. I paid over double with the 3rd party to get home what I originally paid with Turo.

Here I am a month later still getting zero cares and zero reimbursement from their support team. Their internal teams don't seem to communicate with each other, I'm told my case will be "escalated" and I'll be contacted back but nobody ever calls. My cases are continuously closed out and it's impossible to speak to a manager.

-The cost of my original rental was refunded. Though I paid double that to get home via 3rd party and was promised reimbursement. -Despite me doing exactly as I was directed with going through 3rd party, submitting my expenses and having a screenshot guarantee from support promising reimbursement, I'm left with nothing.

-Over 5 hours spent on the phone with support, repeating my story over and over, even being hung-up on and support team openly saying "my other colleague lied to". -I work in customer support myself, I've dealt with escalations on a daily basis and I'm blown away the lack of empathy and ethics Turo has shown. -Hoping this review will give others some insight into what support is like here and catch the attention of somebody at Turo who can make this situation right for me.

After I did that, my account was blocked again, and the same agent contradicted himself with a vague denial citing “risk flags.” Turo has given me inconsistent and unfair treatment, and I am requesting a transparent review and reinstatement of my account.

We’ve been hosting on Turo for several years and currently manage a fleet of four Teslas in Austin. What started as a promising partnership has become an incredibly frustrating experience, and over the last year host support has fallen off a cliff. Here are just a few of the ongoing issues:
    • Insurance claims go nowhere. Even when we submit everything on time and provide Tesla’s official documentation, Turo delays, ignores us, or hides behind technicalities until they can deny the claim. We’ve spent weeks chasing “escalations” that never happen.

    • Revenue is taken away. Guests have been able to damage our cars, still use them for their full reservation, and then somehow walk away with almost a full refund—directly out of our earnings. Turo always sides with the guest, no matter what evidence the host provides.

    • False reviews stand. Guests can post inaccurate or retaliatory reviews that hurt our reputation, and even when we prove the claims are false, Turo refuses to remove them. Their policies are applied inconsistently, always to the host’s disadvantage.

    • System failures punish hosts. The app has failed to notify us of reservation changes, leaving us scrambling. Instead of accountability from Turo for their broken system, we face the threat of penalties and refund losses.

This isn’t just inconvenient—it’s devastating for hosts like us who run a real business. We’ve invested in multiple vehicles, kept them meticulously maintained, and gone out of our way to accommodate guests. In return, Turo has shown a pattern of neglect, indifference, and outright hostility toward hosts. The emotional toll is real too. We no longer feel like partners with Turo—we feel exploited. Every interaction leaves us wondering what new way Turo will find to strip revenue from our work, ignore our claims, or undermine our reputation. Bottom line: Turo has become a one-sided platform where guests are empowered to exploit the system and hosts are left unprotected. If you’re considering becoming a host, be prepared for stress, financial loss, and zero meaningful support.

This is unethical. One of my cars got in an accident and found out many body shops will not work with Turo because they are not fair.

The guest paid for the highest insurance plan with Turo - but I’m ending up going through his “personal” insurance because Turo insurance is a joke at a very high price. I’ve called twice trying to get my car towed to a body shop and it’s still hasn’t been done…. I also had a jeep where the guests took it off road and admitted it in Turo message. It's “prohibited”. I also sent the guest a friendly reminder when the trip started- they still took it off-road. Turo wouldn’t do anything about it ~ no violation fee ~ so basically they can take it off-road. Both my vehicles are off and I won’t use them again for hosting.

Also the van came with winter tire in the peak of summer - the tires were almost bald - when questioned the owner said he was just using it till the end of its lifespan. What if the tire blew out on the highway. All in all it was not worth it - the costs add on with the trip price, then a trip fee and and a very high fee for standard protection - you have to pay a deductible of $500 if there is a claim. This was my very first Turo rental, and the host made me feel very unsafe. I arrived at the location he instructed at Pearson International Airport, at the correct time. I was about to start taking pictures but the host stopped me. He stated I could not take pictures there because parking wasn’t permitted and he would get ticketed. He said we need to move the car “slightly”. He sat down in the driver's seat and requested I help by sitting in the passenger side. However, he never stopped driving and drive himself to the adjacent city against my will and without any notice. There was nothing about this communicated to me in the pick up instructions. I told him I was uncomfortable and getting late for the wedding I was supposed to attend, near my lodging near the airport. He argued that he was not making enough money and that Turo was paying him in sufficiently to afford an Uber back home. So he required me to take him home.

I later learned there is a train from right within the airport that could have taken him home, and that public transit was very convenient. He persisted driving in spite of my refusals and kept saying it was “just a couple more minutes away.” It was not. I lost nearly one hour of fuel and time by the time I made it back to the airport area. Further affecting safety was a very large crack in the windshield which was not disclosed prior to rental. The entire experience was scary and anxiety-provoking.

As soon as he left the car I called Turo and held on the phone with them for 45 minutes while they intermittently kept checking with their supervisor. They stated the host's actions were wrong but offered me no recourse or compensation. When it was time to return the car, the host asked me, repeatedly x3 to pick him up at a residential address in a different city rather than return the car to the originally agreed upon location. He persisted doing so in spite of me communicating my strong discomfort.

I called in and wrote a formal email complaint with Turo and requested some remediation or compensation be offered. They did not respond. The host used the car for nearly one hour of my paid time. He was dishonest about the purpose of needing to move the car and left me feeling very scared. He persisted scaring me even when I told him I did not want to drive to the adjacent city, and he persisted asking me to pick him up at his home address to end the rental in spite of my discomfort. I will never use Turo after this experience, as it’s clear the company doesn’t care about the safety of its customers.

Title: Willful Misrepresentation & Bad Faith - A Warning to All Consumers. Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1 Star). Subtitle: Turo does not sell insurance. They sell a false sense of security to avoid paying claims. I am writing this review to warn every potential customer about Turo's deliberately deceptive business practices. My experience was not just poor customer service; it was a masterclass in bad faith and misleading advertising.

The Deception: From the moment you book, Turo uses the language of insurance. They offer "protection plans," ask you to choose your "coverage level," and explain "deductibles." As a consumer, you are led to believe you are purchasing a regulated insurance product for peace of mind. THIS IS A LIE. Turo's "protection plan" is an unregulated, worthless contract designed to deny claims. I purchased what was marketed as a top-tier plan, believing I was fully covered.

The Bad Faith: When I needed to file a claim for legitimate vehicle damage, Turo's machine of denial sprang into action. They did not conduct a fair investigation. They ignored evidence, sided with their host without justification, and then presented me with an inflated bill for thousands of dollars. Their process is designed to frustrate and intimidate you into paying. They operate in a regulatory gray area they created for themselves, ensuring you have no recourse through traditional insurance channels.

The Resolution: After being stonewalled by Turo, I reported them to the California Department of Insurance. The CDI's response was clear: "...there is no applicable insurance policy at issue here..." The state regulator confirmed that Turo is not selling insurance, despite marketing itself as if it does. I am now taking Turo to small claims court to recover my losses. I have also filed complaints with the California Attorney General and the FTC for deceptive business practices.

Final Warning: Do not be fooled by Turo's slick app and marketing. You are not buying a protected rental. You are entering a high-risk agreement with a company that has built its business model on avoiding accountability. The few dollars you might save over a traditional rental company are not worth the thousands of dollars of risk you are accepting. My advice: Use a licensed, regulated, and legitimate car rental company. Your financial security is not worth gambling on Turo.

I have a bad experience with Turo: While I was renting out my 2018 Hyundai Elantra through Turo, one of the guests severely damaged the engine after using the vehicle for about a week. The car stopped running due to a complete oil leak. I immediately contacted Turo. They acknowledged the issue and told me it was the guest's fault and that they would handle it. I had the car towed to a mechanic shop at their request, where it remained untouched for over a week. Turo claimed an inspector would come to assess the damage.

After a long delay, the inspector finally examined the car and cited an old oil change sticker, claiming the engine failure was due to me not changing the oil for over 2,000 miles. Based on this, Turo denied my claim. I believe this decision is unfair and inaccurate, for several reasons: I have maintained regular oil changes for the vehicle and can provide records as evidence. Even if the oil change was slightly overdue, modern engines don’t fail immediately from a 2,000-mile delay. The car would have given the guest warning lights or other alerts if there was an oil issue, which they ignored. The guest drove the vehicle for a full week without reporting any problems, indicating the car was functioning normally when they received it.

Turo dismissed my claim entirely based on a questionable report, without considering the evidence or circumstances. I have now lost the use of my car and am being held responsible for damage caused during a Turo rental. I respectfully request your help in investigating this matter further. I can provide all documentation, including oil change history, mechanic assessments, and emails exchanged with Turo. Thank you for your time and assistance.

I do not recommend this company for your car rental needs. While Turo’s terms and conditions state that renters should return vehicles in reasonably clean condition, this particular owner requires full professional detailing after use—an expectation that goes beyond standard practice and places an undue burden on the renter. However, each owner expects renters to complete full detailing of the vehicle after use, which is unreasonable and not in line with standard rental practices. These terms should be reviewed and addressed by Turo. For a more consistent and professional rental experience, I suggest using a national car rental company instead.

I can’t even begin to describe how disappointed and devastated I am with my booking through Turo. I rented a car for five days, but the host never showed up to deliver the vehicle. After I had to Uber to the pickup location (which was already a hassle), it became clear that the host was apparently away on some Uber work trip. I was left completely stranded with no car, no solution, and zero help from Turo. Their customer service didn’t do anything but confirm what I already knew – I was without a car. I’m beyond frustrated with the complete lack of communication and care.

To make matters worse, my family situation was dire. My dad is in the hospital, fighting for his life at 89, possibly with advanced cancer, and I was left in a position where I couldn’t even get to him because of this mess. This situation has been heartbreaking, and Turo's complete indifference and failure to act made an already painful time even worse.

I trusted Turo to provide a service, but instead, I got nothing but stress and disappointment. Do NOT trust them with your travel plans, especially during difficult times. They offer zero support when you need it most. The worst part of Turo’s policy is, I can’t even leave a review for the guy who didn’t show up because they consider that situation where the trip never starts as you don’t get to review him. I don’t get to warn anybody about this. He gets to continue to negligently or intentionally screw people over and that’s all with the help of Turo and their policies. I don’t know where this company is based, but they are not irresponsible company.

Turo is not host-friendly. As a car owner who’s given the platform multiple chances, I’ve had renters slash my leather seats, leave my Tesla trashed with sticky substances and stains, and submit false reviews… and in every case, Turo has done nothing to support me. Even with clear photos, videos, and reports, they’ve denied my claims, including reasonable cleaning fee requests. When one guest vandalized my interior, Turo’s “solution” was for me to negotiate with the guest myself, who then went on to threaten me. We pay Turo fees expecting protection, but instead, we receive zero accountability and no support.

To make it worse, when guests leave inaccurate negative reviews (like falsely claiming there’s a maintenance issue), Turo won’t correct or remove them, even with proof. It’s extremely frustrating to be penalized while following all the rules and going above and beyond to maintain my car and make guests happy. This platform may work well for guests, but if you’re a host thinking of listing your car, be prepared to absorb damage, cleaning costs, and reputation hits, with no help from Turo.

Do NOT rent your vehicles on this horrible platform. All of their policies are created to force the host to eat the cost of damages. If a guest does not want to pay, Turo will not make them pay. Guest insurance through Turo is actually a bad thing, if a guest has a low Turo deductible, all that means is you as the host have to pay the excess. Guests are allowed to smoke in your car with no fines. Denied claims are obnoxious as they never tell you why they are denying them. The sad thing is this could be such a good idea, Turo just decided to operate with incredibly bad faith for hosts and subsequently, you either have cheap cars that guests destroy at your expense, or you have expensive cars that lose more to depreciation and maintenance than they earn.

I first used Turo a few months ago and had a Rather average experience. Decided to try again. Three days ago I had a reservation to use them again, this time with an airport pick up in Denver. Was rather disappointed to find the vehicle in terrible condition. With tires in dire need of replacing, including the spare, which looked like it was experiencing dry rot. Large pieces of vehicle's body were missing and the vehicle itself was absolutely filthy. A Phone call to the vehicle's Owner went directly to a user busy message. Message sent through the app to the vehicle owner was never returned.

I called Turo directly, hoping that this was just a one off, and that they would be quick to remedy the situation, as I was presently standing stranded in a parking lot of a long-term airport parking facility. No such luck. The best the representative could do for me was to give me a refund, but that obviously did not solve the actual problem of needing a vehicle. I actually found an alternative of similar price on the Turo app, but he explained he was not authorized to do anything to make that happen.

It seemed pretty clear that he was not authorized to provide the resolution that was needed, so I asked to speak with a manager. His first reaction was to tell me that manager was going to tell me the exact same thing that he had told me. When I persisted, he explained that a manager would reach out within 48 hours. That was three days ago and I have yet to hear from anyone from Turo.

Luckily, the airport parking shuttle was willing to take me to the Enterprise counter, where I ultimately rented a brand new Jeep Wrangler for approximately seven dollars more than I had spent with Turo. I have told dozens of people about my experience already, and cannot imagine ever using Turo again. Sad, really, as I do admire the concept.

I've been a Turo user for years. Even was a host at one point. However my last trip to south Florida landed me a parking ticket for beach parking (apparently as there still is no evidence of the ticket placed on the vehicle... photo proof down below). Exactly 45 days after the rental ended I get a notice from the host on turo of a $65 ticket that was given while the vehicle was in my possession. He sent proof of the ticket that was mailed to him however I had to ask where the vehicle was ticketed as I never seen a ticket on the vehicle ever.

I called the city of Hollywood beach Florida parking division and was told that it's not uncommon for tickets to blow away (Knowing this, why wouldn't they take photographic evidence of the ticket on the vehicle). However the city of Hollywood stated that they would waive the fees and accept the $40 original ticket amount. Problem was turo already paid the ticket. On top of just accepting the cities $25 late fee, turo decided to add ANOTHER airport fee on top of their fees.

I started my dispute and would have happily paid the $40 ticket. Even though I feel it is purely abusive to be ticketed and not get a ticket, if I'm wrong I pay my dues. However the abusive billing practices of just rushing to pay $25 late fees on top of being DOUBLE BILLED airport fees is abuse that I won't accept. Turo enjoys knowing that the higher the billing the more fees they get to charge. Please reconsider using turo and knowing they don't care about their guests. There was no attempt to contact me about the ticket to pay direct, resolve the situation. They just take charge and run wild with my pocketbook. Had Turo or the host reached out to me first, I would have called the city and paid this immediately and had the $25 fee waived. Since they didn't, I'm not going to just bow down to their process.

Do better turo. Also be mindful before you consider Jorge B vehicle as he doesn't care to reach out first and ask if it's something you can take care of before being handed over. Once this dispute is over, I'll be ending my turo account and not give my business to this company. Sure they are convenient but I'm doing my part and not giving this company my money and support.

There is no accountability and no way to even leave a review to warn people of the bad hosts. Everyone has a 5 star rating and it's curious where they're getting those reviews when you can't leave them as a consumer. It leaves you out of luck and scrambling in a mad dash to pay premium prices for a last minute rental from a big box car company. Not worth the $50 savings. We had to spend MORE money on Ubers, book a last-minute car from a REAL rental company, and hope for the best. All this while panicking, stressed out, and furious. And guess what? It’s been a week since we emailed them with every single receipt and detail of what we went through. Not a single refund. Not an ounce of help. NOTHING. Just silence.

Turo RUINED our vacation. They left us stranded, ignored our complaints, and refuse to take responsibility for their incompetence. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and honestly dangerous—because what if this had happened somewhere remote or less accessible? Save yourself the headache, stress, and money. Do NOT trust Turo with your travel plans. Ever. I’ll be posting this review EVERYWHERE until they stop ignoring us and refund every penny we wasted because of their failure.

I like the concept of renting from local residents. I didn't like being hit with a $383 trip fee which raised my daily rate from $50 to $65 after the fee. I found a Hertz with the same size vehicle at $46 a day after taxes and their fees. I won't be renting from Turo again.

Jeff made sure we had the car we needed and it was delivered clean, on time, and was a smooth transaction. We were impressed by how clean it was (it looked like he’d had it detailed), and had a full tank of gas. We used it to attend the famous Blue Angels Homecoming air show and were very pleased to have a convertible because we spent the first part of the show in a traffic jam and were able to view the aircraft with the top down. The car drove beautifully. The engine light came on and we had it checked by a mechanic and texted Jeff the print out. He immediately texted back and said he had checked with the mechanic and told us to continue the term of the rental and he would take care of the car when we returned it. Apparently there was not a mechanical problem but a sensor problem. He immediately responded to my questions from before we arrived to the time I returned it.

So as I’m driving to my destination I get there I turn the car off. I go by my business. Later I come back to the car. I try to start it and it won't start. I inbox the renter and he said he’ll refund me a full amount due to my inconvenience and I called roadside assistance to help me get a replacement and I had to wait 2 hours for that trip to start.

So I canceled the trip and I left the car and went back to do what I was doing but I forgot something in the car so I went back and I was like, "Hmm lemme try again." So I did and it started but I already canceled the trip so I called the guy whose rental it was and I told him it started and he canceled the tow truck but since they were called they took my whole refund which was 350$ just for them to not even do anything and I had to bring the car back to Greensboro. The replacement by the way was in Charlotte where I was so it was very inconvenient for me to bring the replacement back and have to book a train ticket so I could make it to work the next day. Darius was extremely helpful. This is the first time I picked up a vehicle at the airport with lockbox. Darius was helpful in leading me to the vehicle and getting on my way. Will rent from him again in the future. Also, was kind and answered me immediately while I was waiting.

Great rental with Turo. Picked up/drop off at the airport in the parking garage, which worked really well for us. Also appreciated the affordable option of renting a toddler car seat to avoid having to carry the heavy seat with our other bags. Would use Turo again in the future.

The host was (is) great, kept things simple and not a lot of wasted time. Instructions are easy to follow and pick up and delivery was simple, made renting a car (van) very easy. Being a host and renting a Turo for the first time makes me think I will use a Turo rental from here on out! Thank you

From the first minute when we met Cameron at the airport to pick up the Jeep from him it was a wonderful experience. The Jeep was in perfect shape and we returned it in the exact same or better shape. Cameron was a gentleman to deal with. I would recommend him as a Turo provider.

First and last time Turo user here. I had a 3 week rental. Everything was good. I returned vehicle. Then I get a charge of $150 for smoking. I am a non smoker. I’ve never smoked anything. Even if I was I certainly would not do in a vehicle I didn’t own. I’ve disputed, but it was days ago and I don’t even know how you would prove I didn’t. Lung x-ray? This is ridiculous and should be illegal. They are just stealing money. I’m filing fraudulent charge with my credit card company.

Consistent A+ service from Turo and the Turo app. The app layout doesn't change all the time like other apps so it’s easy and familiar to navigate. Easy to view and select cars, great support for accessing Tesla vehicles and messaging the owners is quick and efficient. A streamlined experience as always. Bravo Turo team!!!

Great rental experience-Turo is of less value-issues with app preventing pick up or check out each time. Multiple added expense after rental agreement started. There is not a value compared to traditional rental options. Seems all disruptive options-ABnB, Uber, Lyft, prime..all start out with price and value quickly using algorithms to increase cost beyond traditional options

I would diff recommend James, he was so helpful to me. The vehicle was small but it was a nice size for me. If I needed transportation again, I will call him. It was easy on gas for where I had to go and the best thing ever, it was unlimited mileage that was so awesome. Thanks, James.

This is the second time renting from Rodney's Rental, and like the first, I had a great experience. Picking up and dropping off the car was quick and easy. Great communication. The team answered my questions in a matter of minutes after sending texts. Rodney's Rentals have become my first choice when needing to rent cars.

Our experience with Zippie was fun, and it got us to and from without a problem. My wife was considering getting a Mini Cooper, and I think this experience helped her make up her mind. The car was zippy, and got great gas mileage. WHen in Phoenix again, I will happily rent again. I recommend this car!

This host was excited. I was very pleased with the car. Love it and will rent from him again. In Turo it gives me a peace of mind when it comes to me running a car, everything is at the push of a bunny. I can actually pick what I want when I can afford and what’s available to me for a cheaper price and don’t have to wait. I would recommend this place to anyway of my friends and family. Please take the time out to download the app and see what experience you can have because mine is awesome.

Turo is a great way to find a car rental for your needs without using a rental agency. For my needs, an older beat up vehicle is better than a pristine newer one and those are hard to find. Had an issue with my first rental but it was more related to the car owner than Turo so no faults to them. All in all quite satisfied with how it works and what you get.

I would never go through a different service to rent a vehicle. It's fast, easy and the host(ess) are always 5 stars. The people that rent their vehicles are Turo customer service representatives, so it's a make or break situation with coming back a second time. Going through the major car rental companies are a NIGHTMARE, so thank you for making a great idea and a positive experience.

Unfortunately when we got to our destination my phone died and needed to be replaced completely. I logged in on another device but it sent the two factor authentication to my cell phone number which I could not access. If a second method could be added that would be great should others experience this as well.

We had to wait for an attendant. It appears a few of the folks are multi-tasking. The car is in ok shape except the guys prepping the cars are so busy that they missed wiping down all the windows and windshield. The Corolla is in ok condition but can use some inspections and adjustments.
