I don’t know where to start? Rooms Weren’t clean, bugs present, when asked for extra sheet for my son I was told they never provided any for 40 years, no microwave, coffee machine is near bathroom - near toilet seat, Breakfast - they ran out of bread - Had to request then to refill - They mention continental breakfast - not sure what continent are they talking about. Sad they are degrading the standards of Super 8!

I booked this place because it is close to NYC and reasonably priced. When we arrived around 3pm, the receptionist told us that the reservation was canceled because of a declined credit card. It didn’t make sense to me because the payment should be made at the property, and what does it matter if I had a non-working credit card. As it turns out, my preferred credit card at Hotels.com was a valid one. I couldn't understand how they got the declined credit card number from Hotels.com.

Anyway, I told them I still needed a room to stay with my young children, and they said that it would cost me ~$580 for 3 nights, and they only had a king bed room. Later, I was escalating and pretending to call the police while my husband was talking to Hotels.com. They said if I listened and apologized to them, I could get the room with the original price and two queen beds that I reserved?? There is no doubt that this place does this to make more money. It is not a good business practice.

Wow, well done Wyndham...You successfully have managed to ensure that the hotel industry has become a corrupt underground organization that allows the mistreatment and violation of guest rights...even when in the end we are paying customers, expecting what you seem to proudly advertise as a safe & respectful home away from home. Not only are your front desk staff beyond discriminative... they also have a knack for being hostile and disgustingly inappropriate when it comes to guest service within a so-caller establishment. Regardless of the condition of Super 8, it should carry the same values and mission of any running hospitality organization.

Not only was our room unsanitary and bug infested... we also had a non-working tv, no cable, and we were denied any provided amenities such as towels, toilet paper, coffee, sugar, and creamers...let alone breakfast and use of laundry facility. We had to take our own garbage to the garbage bin all the way on the other side of the building. When we asked for towels, we were rudely told no...and after a week of using the same towels..we finally were "allowed" one towel for two people... and we had to walk all the way to the laundry room to give them our dirty towels in order to get the one new towel. When we asked for toilet, we were questioned why we needed it, and had to go buy our own?!

Every night we had to hear loud people and constant partying...we even had a stranger banging on our door in the middle of the night. The front desk called us early in the morning blaming us for being too loud playing our non-existent video games all night with a non-working tv... Hmmm. Being a same-sex couple, we are not surprised with the treatment...it seems to be a on-going issue wherever we go. We called the Whyndem guest line to complain, and when bringing up discrimination and unruly treatment towards us, the agent LAUGHED!

How ** humiliating! What has happened to the hospitality industry?! There is no respect towards the guest...We are just a money maker to them. We politely asked the agent multiple times to transfer us to a manager as we wished to escalate our complaint, to which he denied multiple times.... Finally he transferred us to a woman who also was just as rude and insulting as the previous employee. She told us it would be resolved within a week, and then hung up on us...and in the end the issue wasn't reeolved. We weren't even being rude, we weren't yelling, and we spoke to them with respect... which we had hoped would be the same...

It's completely unacceptable. Your whole organization is a lie. You state on your website, regarding your mission and values: "We make hotel travel possible for all. Wherever people go, Wyndham will be there to welcome them. This mission, along with our values, guides the way we do business every day." "Our signature Count on Me service culture encourages each team member to be responsive, be respectful and deliver great experiences to our guests." "We hold ourselves to the highest standards. We’re responsible, truthful and transparent. We do the right thing." "We honor our commitments and deliver results. Under any circumstance, we stand up and say: “Count on Me." "We respect differences in people, cultures, ideas and experiences. We foster partnership. We welcome all." "We never underestimate the power of compassion. We generously give our time, attention and action."

That being said, they did hold true to their mission statement, let alone resolve or make right for the blatant mistreatment that they put apon us....and they most certainly did not even have the common courtesy to call us back after a week to ensure our satisfaction, let alone give us a sound piece of mind that our concerns were even heard let alone met. It's sad watching the hospitality industry literally go down the drain, and the customer no longer comes first in their eyes, as the dollar bills seems to be a bigger concern in the end.

A staff member's child allowed a large dog to purposely loose 5 times after having been told to take the dog upstairs. The dog jumped on me an hour later when I emerged from my room. It lunged at my face & dug its claws into my sweater & skin. I carry a medical document stating an exposure to pesticide could prove fatal to me. I could not touch this dog. I yelled for somebody to get this dog off of me. The mother of the child who worked there came and so did the manager. They yelled at me accusing me of yelling at the child. I was yelling for ANYBODY, SOMEBODY to help me. The manager deflected the seriousness of the situation by telling me how wrong I was to stay at a pet friendly motel. There is nothing which states that staying there means that a guest will be subjected to dog attacks and the guest must tolerate it, when their clothing is torn or their skin is broken or worse yet the dog draws blood.

When I tried to explain I was yelling for somebody to get that dog off of me, they refused to listen to me. Instead of an apology for this child being permitted to let this dog OUT OF CONTROL in the lobby not once but 5 times, I was evicted and told to get out and not come back. Management and the employee who owned the dog did not once ask if I was ok. They did not ask to see my clothing or my skin. I was just thrown out. This is outrageous that an employee is repeatedly permitted to violate policy and the guest is punished. Do not ever stay at this motel. It was a nightmare, I was petrified of this huge dog that came up to my shoulders when it lunged at my face. NOBODY CARED.

As I pulled in I notice 8-10 seemingly homeless people around the premises. Two couches with no cushions sat by the front door. I pulled into a parking place and the people sitting beside me were obviously living in their vehicle. The portion of the building directly in front of parking had lots of windows that were covered in ripped-apart insulation. I assume this had been the pool area- it looked like a tornado had gone through the wall. I locked my car and went to the front door- already afraid. The door had a printed sign that said “lobby opens at ten pm”. I assumed they meant closed and went in. The doors were filthy. The lobby looked dark and disheveled. There was no one in there- it seemed abandoned.

Another printed note taped to the plastic barrier between the worker and guest said “away from desk, will return”. I waited and worker came from the back on his phone and asked for my id/card which I had to slide under the excessive, hard, plastic divider. Think of an inner city liquor store or check cashing shop- somewhere that fears being robbed. This was NOT designed for COVID protocols. He asked if I had pets and I said I had an assistance animal with paperwork but that their bio indicated they allowed animals.

He said he would allow pets with an extra $40 fee and not in the “jacuzzi” room that I had booked for $80. I was already afraid of him and of this place but I tried to explain that their website did not say there was extra charges and that I had a service animal not a pet. He just kept repeating that he didn’t see pets on my reservation (because I don’t have pets- I have a service animal). I knew this place felt dirty and was not safe. He refused a cancellation and I walked out. Later I see he overcharged me and refused a refund because I ‘cussed’. (I called the hotel **) This hotel is beyond old or dingy. It is filthy and dangerous.

I have been the victim of stalking. So I'm staying at this Warrensburg, NY Super 8 for one night. I ask the young man at the front desk if he can keep my room private. I explain I have had a stalking situation. Being the wonderful person he apparently is, he announces my room loudly number in front of an itinerant looking guest hanging around while I check in. Then later he tells me he doesn't participate in stalking adding in a vaguely threatening way, "unless the person did something to deserve it." Wow the Super 8 really hires classy people in Warrensburg. If you are a woman concerned about security I would avoid this hotel.

I stayed at the Super 8 by Wyndham Hotel located at 1808 1st St., Kennett, Missouri between 10/15/22 - 10/19/22. Upon check in, I met with the owner who identified himself as **, polite. As I went to my room (110), I noted the floors enroute were very dirty. After entering the room, I noted the towels were dirty, the carpet was unclean, and there was exposed wiring where the electrical components were plugged in. I tried to get out of the reservation (made via hotelcounter.com), but the deal was no refund upon acceptance. I was stuck for 4 nights.

While there, I was approached by two street persons seeking money in the lobby in two days, and I observed a female prostitute coming and going twice, escorted by another female. The breakfast that was advertised never was, and the coffee pot that was pointed out to me by ** was not filled for two days. I observed someone take a coffee on the third day and I tried it. It was days old, cold, and tasted horrible. I poured it out fearing I could become ill. While there, I met a couple who told me they were leaving, describing their experience the same as I had. They went across the parking lot to an America's Best Hotel.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone, particularly if you had an animal or children, as you are putting your family and pets at risk. I am willing to testify to my experience if necessary. The health department certainly needs to visit this facility. I put in a complaint at Wyndham Hotels via customer service, told the proprietor what I was doing, and also informed Hotel Counter reservations about this experience. Do not stay at this hotel unless this is your way to travel. It was disgusting.

His confidence about his industry and helps you feel confident about your staying at the Super 8. The little extras like a pool and the continental breakfast in a quaint establishment is a bonus.

On June 20- June 22 I stayed at the Super 8 location: 557 Warrenton Rd Fredericksburg VA 22406. While there, I was placed in the most filthy rooms I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. The first room I was placed (#120) in had several leaks in the ceiling. These leaks had tissue that had been stuck inside the holes and cracks. Needless to say, the tissue didn't fix the leak. I then called the front desk and spoke with ** who moved us to room #125. In this room there was a VERY heavy leak! It was located right where anyone cleaning the room could have seen. It was impossible to miss. In addition to the leak, there were bugs on the floor and walls. Hair on the beds.

Upon seeing the state of the second room, I called ** at the front desk again and asked for a refund. Surely, after staying in TWO different rooms that were absolutely filthy, I am entitled to a full refund. It is unreasonable to think that I would trust my health in the hands of an establishment that has already placed me in TWO rooms that were absolutely filthy. After she spoke with the manager **, I was informed that I could not receive a refund but they can change me to a THIRD room.

I communicated my dissatisfaction with that "solution", as well as the concern for my health. Still, I was told there is nothing else they are willing to do other than a third move. Because my baby was extremely sleepy (this was around 10PM), I was in desperate need for rest, as I am currently pregnant and the inability to book another room without the money I foolishly paid for the unsafe conditions at their location, I was forced to stay. The third room, of course, was just as filthy as the first two.

When booking a room, I expect to at the most basic level, be placed in a room that is CLEAN. In a building that is not falling apart. This is the most basic expectation any guest, of any establishment can have. However, during a global PANDEMIC, cleanliness becomes even more paramount. Now, a few days after my stay, I am not feeling good! Praying this is not COVID.

** and ** were completely unwilling to hear my concerns and treat me the way they would expect to be treated. Or even treat me the way their company claims to. Is this the "Count on Me" the company claims to have? Is this the welcome the company provides "wherever you go"? I contacted the customer service department and was given an invalid email to send pictures and videos to. I have still not heard back from them, although I was told I would hear something by last Friday.

I made a reservation directly with the hotel clerk over the phone. I asked if it was possible to check-in early. I explained that I would be in town around 5 or 6 am. and that I would be leaving around 3 or 4 am that night. I was told that I could pay an extra fee and check-in early but I needed to pay now so that he could reserve my room for early check-in. I gave him my debit card information. I arrived at about 5 am on the 20th. When I checking in I was again asked what time would I be checking out. I reiterated that it would be about 3 or 4 AM. He made me initial that I would check out by 6. I was not given a receipt just a key card.

I received a call from Priya (hotel clerk) on the hotel phone around 6 PM telling me that I was supposed to be checking out at 6. I explained that I was charged extra for early check-in and that I was had to check out by 6 AM. She said it was a misunderstanding and it was supposed to be 6 PM, not 6 AM. I told her that I would just go ahead and get out now. She said, "not to worry. I will just charge you an extra $15.00 and you can stay until 6 AM." I asked if I needed to come to the office to give her my card to take care of it and she said to take care of it when I checked out.

I checked out about 12:15 AM that night. When I asked the clerk for a receipt he said his computer was locked up and he couldn't give me a receipt. He said I was supposed to have checked out by 6 PM. I explained that this whole thing is a mess and that the lady told me that I was going to be charged $15.00 extra to check out by 6 AM. He said I would have to call back in the morning to talk to that same lady. The next morning I was charged for 2 nights. When I called to talk to Priya (the hotel clerk), I was told that he was the manager and was charging me for 2 nights. He didn't care what Priya, the hotel clerk, had told me the evening before because I was supposed to check out by 6 PM. I explained that I was charged extra from the beginning for early check-in and then I was also charged an extra $15.00 after the fact. Now I was also charged for 2 nights.

The manager that I was speaking to, to get it resolved was very rude and threatening. He told me that I had no idea who I was talking to and that I had better be careful. I explained that he had no right to charge me for 2 nights. He said that the clerk was not authorized to make the decision to charge me the extra $15.00 to let me stay. He took off the early check-in fee and the $15.00 fee the clerk charged and charged me for 2 nights and that there was nothing I could do about it.

We rented a room after travelling by car for 15 hours. We brought our things to the room and was horrified with the conditions of the room. The bed was slanted and not comfortable, the sheets were dirty and the bathroom was really dirty. The bath tub was not cleaned at all.

We went to go eat and Dunkin doughnuts across from the hotel and after we finished eating, we went to see the man who rented us the room. We asked for our money back and he refused to give us a refund. He said that we already used the room, so no refund. So I walked to the front desk to talk to them. She came and saw bed bug, took photo, and said corporate would see the report. She said we would get full refund. Still no money. Called corporate and launched investigation. They sent money to husband's account 2× and they took it back. We want our money.

Upon traveling we stopped in at the Super 8 in Jespers Tennesse and after we left the next day I had left a doll there that had been in the family for over 40 years, the housekeeping staff could have very well thrown it away however they didn't. When we realized we left it there we called back up there and spoke to Beth at the front desk she was completely amazing, she explained to us how we could get the doll back and the fastest way as well.

She was friendly, helpful, wonderful and so thoughtful if it wasn't for Beth we would have lost something that was a treasure to our family. Our doll safely arrived back home the following day through Fed-Ex thanks to Beth. Beth took very good care of the our family treasure until Fed-Ex picked up the doll. Thank you to Beth and the housekeeping staff for making sure our family treasure stayed safe.

We were traveling & needed a rest. We found Motel 8 Dania. Everything seemed fine at first glance. We went to shower. The shower curtain rod was falling off the wall so the curtain wouldn’t stay closed. Needless to say water was everywhere. Then the tv lost its picture, it only had sound. It was already 3:30am so we decided to go to sleep. We told the owner/mgr at 8am and asked if we could get some kind of credit for the inconvenience. They replied that the tv was working when we checked in. Basically saying we broke it and that I should’ve called them as soon as it happened. And on a legal standpoint we were only paying for lodging, not tv, not internet, not a refrigerator or a microwave. At that point I was furious for paying $90 for a piece of crap room. I do NOT recommend Motel 8 Dania to anyone.

So what happened is first I booked for the room, but instead the manager rudely said, "STOP BEGGING FOR ROOMS YOU SNORT". I got REALLY angry at how the manager acts so childish there when we want a room. I finally got a room from one of the staff finally, but more pain took in.

The room I got booked was so bad. There was a huge spider back in the corner! It was those poisonous ones. I decided to kill it myself. But then next, THERE WAS SO MUCH BEDBUGS BY THE BED. PLUS THE BED was covered in old hair. Next was the bathroom, the sink was so old and rotting wood and the toilet had poop stains on there! The tub was FILLED OF HAIRS, I took it myself. It was the worst experience, I ended up sleeping in the car LMAO. NEVER GO TO A SUPER 8, TRUST ME. IT'S NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY, IT'S MORE LIKE THEY ARE ROBBING YOUR MONEY.

We booked 2 rooms for July 26 & 27 at the West Kelowna, B.C. Super 8. Upon arrival the first room looked tidy but it was observed that no vacuuming had been done. Bathroom floor had hair on it from previous tenants and carpeting was dirty. After 1st night, when housekeeping had come through, we observed the beds were not made completely with the sheets hanging on the floor. The fitted sheet on one of the beds was ripped open at both pockets on the foot end and therefore was not even covering the bottom part of the mattress. There was a large hole in the same sheet along the side. The sheet didn't fit the mattress to begin with.

Upon arrival for the second room we couldn't gain access as the door wouldn't open. We were assigned another room and upon entry we noticed the bedsheets were pulled off the bed, housekeeping services were not done from previous tenants. We were assigned another room. The hallway was filthy with food stains. We went to complain to the front desk on the lousy services and there was a line of tenants complaining about their rooms and re-negotiating their room charges. We will never stay at this hotel again and will feel free to inform anyone that asks us.

I checked into this room with my brother Robert ** from July 2 to July 3. At around 10:30pm my brother complained that something was biting him as he was lying in the bed. He then showed me some red splotches on his skin. My brother has fair skin so they were clearly visible. He then went for a walk. When he returned around midnight. He laid back down and jumped up and showed me a very large bed bug crawling across the bed. I then pulled the linen off of my bed. At the tail end of the bed there were 3 very large bed bugs. I immediately contacted the office where the attendant stated he could not help me because I booked my room through Priceline. I then called Priceline and walked to the front office. This was at 1am.

The Priceline rep contacted the office and the attendant in my presence told them that the motel did not have bed bugs and that he will not give them permission to provide a refund to me. Priceline then told me that because the attendant denied that the hotel had bed bugs that there was nothing that they could do for me. The attendant offered a different room as if the bed bugs are only in one room in the hotel. He moved me to the room next door and behold more bed bugs. My brother and I slept in our vehicle for the night and I was never provided a refund.

The attendant did not even go into either of the rooms to confirm the rooms did not have bed bugs. The bugs did not come from us. We have not contact with bed bugs and reside in a 160k clean home. All I asked for was a refund and I was denied and forced to reside in my vehicle. I did not have funds to stay at another hotel nor should I have to pay for another room when I had already paid for my room.

The room smelled like old urine and those are the good points! We booked at 62.00 and they charged us 97 plus 20 for each dog (we were told 15) and the bill came to 157! We could have stayed at the Marriott and slept like babies! Do not stay here. Their staff is not only ignorant, clearly the cleaning staff need glasses. Seriously, worst Super 8 in history and we travel extensively! Beyond disappointed and we are STILL waiting for the manager to return our call to discuss the issues. Stay anywhere else!

UPDATE: Our account was charged over 400 Canadian with the conversion rate and the manager said he only charged 167.00. We have a statement to show the fraudulent charges . Now we have to wait for our bank to file a fraud case to reverse the charges. What a nightmare when all we needed was a few hours sleep to continue our trip home!! Pics would not upload.... On June 13 and 14, I attended a parent orientation at SFA for my daughter's incoming freshman year. I wanted to book a hotel with The Fredonia, but that property was booked. I decided to go with Super 8. My daughter and I had a full day of parent Orientation, and welcoming from the SFA college campus. Around 9:30pm when she left for the dorm with her friends, I went to the hotel. Upon arriving, the girl (**) behind the counter asked for picture ID and form of payment. Upon searching my bag, did not have a picture ID. A tree fell through my home on the 3rd, and was living between bags - instead of me bringing my purse, (my fault) I brought my backpack with only my credit cards.

I stated to ** I did not have my ID, but in my backpack I had all my credit cards, checks, all my mail, my confirmation number to the hotel, my name badge was still on from the orientation!! But did not have my ID. She rudely stated, "Sorry, it's company policy. We need a photo ID, and someone needs to bring it." I stated to her, "I'm not from this city. I'm hours away. Can I speak with a manager?" She states, "I'll text her (**)." She tells me one minute later that her manager said to decline my confirmation number that I would need a photo. So - as I am standing there in disbelief - I was advised to find other lodging.

The entire city, including the 2 cities over were booked because of family Orientation at the college. I decided to drive home, turn around, and drive back to be with my daughter. For the 4 years that she will be at SFA, I will MOST definitely NOT be using SUPER 8 as my lodging. Customer Service is below poor. The person at the front desk should be treating customers kind, and with respect so people will return to the establishment. ** needs a lot of help in this area if this establishment wants returning customers - in which I will NEVER be.

We moved but it was not a handicap room. No handicap rooms were available. I told them I even called in to assure this type of would be available. I bathed in the sink for 2 days. Could not get in the shower. We were not offered any discount or even an apology. Because of why we were in Miamisburg, we could not go to another hotel. The hotel is ok. Used. Very used. Breakfast was horrible. Only cereal or a waffle.

But the worse thing was that on Saturday morning, a manager came into the room without knocking and with a do not disturb sign on the door. He didn’t say anything or come all the way when he saw my son and granddaughter were there. When he opened the door, he let our Small dog (Dixie) out. Who does that? When I made reservations, I indicated that I had a pet. I would have talked to the manager, but did not know until we were on the way to Georgia about this. Our reservations were from Friday through Sunday. Why come in our room on Saturday? If you had questions, you could have caught us the many times we were in the lobby. I came into my room on Sat the 25th and went to change out of my work clothes when I realized that after my room was cleaned earlier that day I was now missing my favorite shirt. I checked very thoroughly and could not find it. I am 100% sure that I brought it. After talking to Lori at the front desk she confirmed seeing me wear the shirt earlier that week. Now I know it's just a shirt right? But it's not. It is a very hard to find shirt that was a gift from my wife. Likely not replaceable.

I feel a full refund is in order. You check into a hotel room and give full trust to the staff with your belongings while not in the room. To have my trust broken like this is sad to say the least. I feel violated and feel my trust was taken advantage of. Not to mention whenever I ask to have my room serviced I make sure none of my belongings are anywhere that the housekeepers would need to touch my things to complete their job. I look forward to hearing from management on this matter and hope it's dealt with to my satisfaction. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll ever see my shirt again. Stayed at the Super 8 for about a week in October 2018. On the day before I was supposed to leave I woke up itching my hand. I threw back the covers and a baby cockroach scuttled away. Wasn’t a baby cockroach though, no sir, which I found out when I killed it. Cockroaches are dreadful bugs BUT THEY DONT SUCK BLOOD! I left all of my clothes there but still managed to track these horrific beasts to MY NEW RESIDENCE! What did the hotel, the owner, or Wyndham do? Nothin’. I have been forced to dispute charges on my credit card. Nice, huh? BEWARE FELLOW TRAVELERS-these parasites can also infest your PETS.

I'm not a complainer but this was way bad and dangerous. Please do yourself a favor and skip this one. They don't refund even with pictures of all the rot. Their manager Fawaz ** is a horror show. We checked in as a group on September 1, 2018 only to find out that everyone's reservations were screwed up and the wonderful staff was trying to fix it. The manager finally shows up after everyone can finally check. Instead of being apologetic for the screw up with our reservations he tries to charge me $15.00 per dog instead of the one single fee of $15.00 for all dogs in my room which I was quoted. When I was able to prove the fee I was quoted he said he would run my credit card for $250.00 when I leave for the damage my dogs did. I told him my dogs would not cause any damages. He said we'll see what he thinks once we leave so I had to take pictures of the room when we checked in as well as when we checked out.

The alarm started going off in the rooms around 6/7 pm and his staff called him to tell him but he didn't care and wouldn't come back to the motel until 3 hours later when his guest called the fire department because everyone was afraid that there was a fire and everyone was in danger so people stood outside their rooms for hours before the fire department told us it was a faulty alarm in one of the rooms. When all the guest came to the lobby at 10pm to find out why he allowed this to continue for hours again instead of trying to calm everyone down and apologize for not doing anything earlier he became confrontational, started screaming at everyone and throwing us all out.

I have him on video saying he wouldn't charge any of us for the night due to the nightmare he put us through, but waited for me to leave the next morning and ran my credit card for $122.91 without my authorization. I am now trying to get my money back, but Wyndham Resorts refuses to refund it even though it was taken without my authorization. I have filed complaints with the PA Attorney General as well as the CFPB and will have to fight to get my money back.

Last night, 08/17/18, I called the front desk at the Super 8 in Atoka, OK to let them know that we would be arriving late. I also requested a rollaway bed and extra bedding. The young lady at the front desk said it would be no problem. We arrived at our room around 8:30 p.m. very tired. When I checked in I was told that the closets where the bed and the linens were was locked up and she had no access. We then went to our room (103) and promptly turned on the air conditioner, they went swimming while it cooled off. We waited and waited and waited. The room never cooled and the air barely was blowing. Also, when we came back from the pool, I had no shoes on and within a minute my feet were black from the nasty floor. They were sticking to it. I then called and asked for another room. She came and brought another key, apologized and checked the air. She couldn't get it any better.

By then it was 10 pm and I had 3 grumpy, hot and cranky grandkids with me. She also told me that there were no more rooms left, so if it didn't work, we couldn't move again. We moved into room 221. The room was cooler, but never got completely comfortable AND the TV would not work! There was another couple that had to be moved 5 TIMES! Since we had no choice we got some wash clothes and kept wiping ourselves down during the night and slept the best we could. We did manage to get the TV working about the times we had to leave the next morning. We loved using the Super 8 chain, but this experience has dropped our opinion a lot. We will be making several trips to Atoka over the next few months but not sure who we will be staying with now. I was not offered anything other than an apology.

SUPER 8 South Jordan, UT - Checking in was not an issue, hard to understand due to accent. Only 1 luggage cart and side security door was broke so the door stayed partially open. Looked like they pulled the card swipes to get in off. Once in room we discovered one of the bedspreads had cigarette burns all over it, blanket had pink finger polish all over. Bath towels had long black hairs stuck in them.

Room had not been cleaned very well as the corners had debris. Our toilet plugged up so we called the front desk for help and was told "Ok". 45 minutes later we called to see why no one came up and rudely told my husband he hung up before he could tell him he had to come get a plunger and unplug it himself. My husband went down and was told no one was on duty after 2 pm to fix anything. Was handled a dirty plunger with toilet paper stuck to it in a plastic grocery bag that had holes in it. My husband unplugged it by found that the flapper in tank was shutting too fast and not allowing enough water pressure to flush unless you held handle down for 10-15 seconds.

I asked to speak to manager and was told he wasn't working but would be there tomorrow. When I told the manager our problems he asked if our bedspread was clean? And every guest had to unplug their own toilet after 3 when maintenance went home. He was smiling and gave me the impression he could care less. When the manager asked if he could make everything better I told him of course, we would be out most of day for basketball tournaments. When we returned nothing had been done so I asked why and he said we had a blanket laying on the bed to be changed and they would not touch the beds unless everything is off even to change sheets cause they don't want to be blamed for stealing.

Then we get a knock on our door and it's the maintenance guy, he was rude and abrasive when my husband told him he thought it was the flapper in the tank. We told him and showed him how we had to hold handle down but he just dismissed it. Said it was fine and used a snake on the toilet, threw dirty water all over floor and walked out, leaving us to clean up. Breakfast was a joke, 2 cereals, fat free milk in a jug, toast, waffle, the same bruised apples were put out all 4 days. Even locked up their juice machine at 9 am sharp. Ice machine on 3rd floor broke, ice machine on 1st floor leaked all over floor, 2 washers and 2 dryers (stacked on top of each other) for 3 floors and one washer was broken. Was there for major basketball tournament and was up til 1 am washing jerseys, plus only one person could get in laundry. It was so narrow and had vending machine in same narrow hallway.

The room had the smallest bathroom ever, you could sit on toilet and wash your feet in bathtub at same time. Sink area was right next to entry door and you could lay on one of the beds and watch people at the sink was a very strange and awkward setup. Not at all user friendly. We are senior citizens traveling with our grandchildren for their basketball tournament and this was the most unconscionable experience ever. We want our money back.

After reviewing all of the other reviews and reading the canned response from "Nerissa **, Guest Relations Manager", I don't really expect much more than I have seen her give everyone else who complained, but at least the next one reading my post may we prepared to get the same pre-typed "Sorry, but we really don't care, and nothing will change response."

I booked at Super 8 by Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront due to "lack of options" and they were the only hotel that had rooms on Memorial Day weekend. My family and I arrived about 1 hour before check-in to beat traffic. Surprised to see there was little to no parking, asked about early parking and was told we would have to pay for a parking pass to be on the lot early or would be towed (tow truck was towing a car when we pulled in). So we purchased the early parking pass ($15 CASH only for 1 hour, wonder who pockets this $$$).

We left and came back approx 1 hr later and had nowhere to park. No other free parking available. Called the hotel was told, "Sorry parking is what it is, there are other parking garages nearby you can pay for." Finally waited in the lot for over an hour for someone who wasn't a guest to move. Parking is across the street behind buildings in a pretty shady area. Lot is not monitored, only patrolled by a tow truck. Spaces are very small, I had a hard time fitting my Jeep there. Once we get checked in, there was no baggage cart, and had to carry all luggage from the parking lot to our room. One elevator that worked when it wanted to. Our room was on the 5th floor. To be a non-smoking hotel, they must use cheap cigarette smoke scented air freshener.

There were no towels in room, called front desk, they brought 3 hand towels. Never received a bath towel after calling several times. Exhaust fan in bathroom didn't work, fridge didn't cool below 60 degrees, shower curtain moldy and was not long enough to keep water in tub, floor was soaked after each shower. Asked to change rooms/floors told no. Room wasn't cleaned, beds weren't made, no towels, and trash wasn't taken out during our entire stay. Pool had trash in it, and even after telling staff, the trash was still in there the day I checked out. Continental breakfast was a joke. I work in the Fire Service and found sprinkler heads painted over and honestly question the functionality of the sprinkler system, think about that before you let your family and children sleep here at night.

The front desk staff after 6pm was either outside fraternizing with girls on the street or was too busy to help myself or other guests. I have stayed at Super 8's before and have NEVER experienced a hotel with such filth, and lack of customer satisfaction. Asked to speak to the General Manager and was told he "wasn't available". Asked about a survey card, and was told "just go to TripAdvisor." Not sure if Super 8 Corporate office has anything to do with this hotel, but someone needs to pay them a random visit!

My brother-in-law got up to go to the restroom before falling asleep and there were roaches behind the door. He told his wife, so she reached to turn on the light on the nightstand only to find an abundance of roaches on the nightstand right next to her.

They informed the front desk, so the front desk moved them to a room on the second floor which was not sanitary, the toilet and shower were nasty, so they decided to take turns sleeping due to the late hours to watch for cockroaches. It was a horrible stay for them and me. I am horrified and embarrassed. I contacted the hotel the next morning when they informed me what happened. Reserved two rooms in Cincinnati, OH for 2 nights to meet my son and new grandson for the weekend. After coordinating travel arrangements with my son decided to stay at a more convenient location so I immediately canceled the room reservations. The rooms (2 rooms) were booked through Travelocity on Monday Sept 18, 2017 at 1:47 pm. Cancelled both rooms through Travelocity and received cancellation notices for both rooms on Monday Sept 18, 2017 at 3:00 pm and 3:03 pm respectively.

Thought all was good as the cancellation policy stated we had until 6:00 pm on Sept 21, 2017 to make any cancellations without charge. The rooms were reserved for Friday night Sept 22 and Saturday night Sept 23. So the rooms were canceled over 72 hours in advance. Went to use my debit card that these rooms were reserved on (and then cancelled) to purchase dinner for my family on Saturday night and found that I didn't have sufficient funds for dinner on that card. Come to find out that even though I had cancelled the rooms well in advance of the cancellation policy Super 8 had still submitted 4 separate charges to my card sometime on Friday or Saturday and those charges were pending which blocked those funds from being available.

It appears that the hotel went ahead and charged 2 cancellation fees (cost of one night each for two rooms) and then charges for 2 nights stay for each room. Charges totaling $335.46. Immediately contacted Travelocity and after approximately 45 minutes on hold after talking to Travelocity customer service was told nothing could be done until the next morning when the hotel manager was in to be able to verify what exactly had been charged and so long as they were showing "pending" in my account that they could possibly fall off.

Follow up with the hotel management by Travelocity on Sunday resulted in them telling me that even though I had booked and canceled through them that they were not at all responsible for the charges as they were not the ones that charged my credit card. I have to deal with Super 8 directly. Contact Super 8 customer service to basically the same BS. Because the charges are pending they will probably fall off if the charges were in error.

A case was initiated and I was told it could take up to 7 days for a manager to contact me. All the while they have $335.46 of my money tied up and unusable. Checked my account on Monday (today, Sept 25) to find that the two-room charges (2 for $111.82 each) have actually posted to my account as POS transactions.

So much for the pending charges just falling off. The other two charges (2 for $55.91 each) are still showing as pending. While in my opinion this constitutes theft on the part of Super 8 motels and in particular the management of the motel that failed to heed the cancellation before charging my card, I am stuck until I hear something back from Super 8.

I am seriously considering legal action if this is not resolved within the next couple of days. I will be re-contacting the Super 8 customer service line with the case number given tomorrow morning, as I am sure that I will see the other two charges post to my account as well. If you do book with these places I would STRONGLY suggest that you book and cancel (if needed) directly with the hotel/motel instead of going through a site like Travelocity as they just wash their hands of the problem when something on the other end goes wrong.

I personally will never use Travelocity or Super 8 motels again, even if they resolve this matter to my satisfaction as I should have NEVER had to be dealing with any of this in the first place. This should have been as simple as Travelocity contacting Super 8 on my behalf, since the reservations and cancellations were through them, and figuring out that YES indeed these rooms were properly cancelled before the cancellation deadline and that any pending charges be immediately reversed without question, but no, instead I have to deal with uncooperative customer service reps that don't seem to be able to recognize that they are the ones who have erred in this arrangement and have no power or desire to satisfy a customer when they are CLEARLY in the wrong. Stay tuned as this one isn't over!

The other room one was a smoking room. I took it because the others had children or older adults, with my asthma I thought I would be ok. What choice was there.

I cleaned the sticky alcohol rings that were left on furniture, I dusted the dust to relieve some of my breathing, I went to front desk to get clean sheets (I knew they were clean because they were warm as if came out of dryer) but the sheets were old and a yellow look but clean, the carpets were horrendous. I wouldn't walk on them with firemen boots and the bathroom was so bad but that I brush my teeth and use the bathroom next door at restaurant. I'm not a prima-Donna. I was told that it was an old motel and that was the reason for the smell. Really? The on duty staff offered to come to the room and spray it to attempt eliminate the odor. His attempt was useless. The odor seem to be coming from the old carpet that was in the room.

I kept my shoes on my feet my entire time I was there. I did not even attempt to lay in the bed. No way! There was a recliner and a computer chair present in the room. The recliner looked dirty so I sprayed it down with Lysol and Febreze, but it was no match for that odor. I had to place a large shower towel on the computer chair & this is where I ended up sleeping. The shower had rust in it and a lot of mosquitos present. No shower for me! Every customer that I came across seem to be scratching like a dog with fleas. Good decision that I made to not sleep in that bed. No amount of discount offered could make me relive my stay there again. I would rather spend the extra money or drive the extra miles and avoid the Super 8 motel altogether.

Do yourself a favor and NEVER... I MEAN NEVER stay at a Super 8, especially the one in Stevensville, MI. The hotel was absolutely filthy, terribly overpriced and the hotel building was not secure. The electronic lock was not even installed on the door we were told to use to get to our room and anyone could have walked in off of the street at any time of the night or day. The young man that I dealt with at the front counter was nice enough and did steer us to a great area restaurant, but that was the ONLY positive thing about this stay...

Super 8... that is if there is even such a company, should be utterly ashamed to have their name on this hotel. Everything about this hotel was mangy, broken or just plain gross. I've stayed in hotels that cost 1/3 the cost of this hotel that were nicer. I'm utterly amazed that this hotel is still in business. It much just be that people booked sight unseen because there was a lack of rooms to be had in the area, because NO ONE... including myself would EVER knowingly book a room at this hotel. (This hotel was $56 more per night than the Marriott in Dayton, Ohio where we stayed the previous 2 nights, which was a fantastic, clean and friendly hotel and had a great, helpful wait staff and a fabulous breakfast). I will NEVER stay at a Super 8 again.

Welcome to Hell Hotel! Run away from Super 8 Hotel in VA Beach. The filthiest & highly mismanaged hotel run by an Indian family named ** family. If you read any "great reviews" about this motel it is because they were most likely paid reviews in my opinion. This hotel is licensed under the name of Wyndham Worldwide Hotel just because they were paid to have the license and name purchased, otherwise they are run independently. This hotel is not controlled by Wyndham. ** family (Indian family) owns and operates this hotel and many stores nearby. Do NOT get fool for the $25 a night saving & go somewhere else.

Parking is not guaranteed and at time nor it is free as you will read reviews, ONLY one ice machine for a 7 story dirty hotel (bed spread had dried up stains on it among other issues...), no safety box, doors do not lock up from inside the room, employees use guest room bathroom when you are not there, nothing works in the rooms. Filthy as hell rooms and premises. Forget breakfast also as white bread and tea is what you will find. Do not believe the paid reviews the ** the Indian owners of this hotel offer - Take my word, run, just run... pay the extra $30 a night and enjoy your stay. Do not even look back. Shame on Wyndham Worldwide Hotels for running their name for a few dollars they get from licensing their name to this dirty/unsafe hotel. Super 8 200 Palisade Drive Universal City, Texas: On 7/14/2017 Arrive to check in at about 10:30 PM. The Doors were locked but all the lights were on. Knocked on the doors for about 10 minutes. A young man shows up from nowhere and unlocks the doors. Once we are inside he takes his place behind the desk and ask me for my name and ID. I handed him my driver's license, but wait... now he can't get the computers to work, so he starts trying to figure out his computer problem. 20 minutes later he decides he cannot fix his computer. So he writes all my information down, to include my Credit card number, I ask him for a military discount, and he says no problem. He explained when the computers started working again, he would input the information, and give me the discount. He gives me two key cards to room 501. We finally get to the room after 11:10.

Once we are in the room, having been on the road all day we just want a shower and some sleep, but we discover the shower is so full of filth that we are afraid if we use it we will catch something, The bathroom smells of urine, and the shower curtain looks like someone wiped their rear with it. Totally disgusting, But at this time of the night nothing we can do about it, OK so we'll just get some sleep, and when we get to our destination we'll get that shower. On no, the sheets look like they have been slept on, And strangely enough at 6" 2" I cannot sit on the bed, with my feet on the floor (why does bed sit so high?). Never had this before. We decide to just sleep on the covers, and let the manager know in the morning of the problems.

By 5:00 AM the darn Air conditioner won't shut off, and it's so cold in the room it is unbearable. Without turning the lights on I try to shut the AC off, instead I turn the heat on and within seconds I smell something burning and the smoke detector goes off. Great, I turn the lights on, by now my wife is also awake, I get the smoke detector to shut off, and I turn the heat off.

Now the room smells terrible, and I have to leave the door open for 30 minutes to air it out. Needless to say we did not get much sleep. The room also had one desk chair, that did not go up or down, it was taped and filthy, it looked like a cheap chair from OfficeMax. It had one stuffed chair, but the left side was all torn open, and the seat was stained, there wasn't even a table to sit at and play a game of cards or eat. Also, the hair dryer did not work. We did not try to use the coffee port but I can tell you I would not let a dog drink from it. This was the worst hotel/motel room I had ever been in, and that is saying a lot since I spent many years in the military that came with a numerous hotel stays. When I went to check out, what a circus, The clerk told me that they had already charged my card the full price, this after being told I would get the military discount.

He wrote one note in a note book with a wire binding about the bathroom. No apologies, no how did this happen or anything, except you booked your room thru Expedia we can't give you a military discount, then why did you say you would. As I am talking to the clerk to my right, more than a dozen men, dressed as construction workers have filled the little breakfast areas, talking and laughing loudly. No reasonable person would allow their family to eat in a room with this circus going on. Heck I was even concerned for my safety as a lot of these guys really looked bad.

As I was leaving the office to get back into my truck, an older gentleman stops me, tells me his night was worse, and hands me a business card to this Super 8 recommending I contact the main Headquarters of Super 8. Which I will do. Just how in hell this hotel gets a triple A rating is beyond me. As I'm leaving the parking lot I notice all the construction vehicles. I I gathered this hotel attracts a lot of construction and Day workers. Date of incident: night of 14 Jul 2017, Confirmation number **, account number **. Total cost with taxes $125.08. I think this experience merits a refund. And the pictures they use to advertise this place must be from 20 years ago because they do not match this dump in any way except location.

After unpacking the tv picture looked like an hour glass and the remote to the tv didn't work, we complained to the front desk and moved us down to ground level in room 103. After unpacking I was preparing to take a shower when I noticed the ceiling in the shower was wet and had mold on it. Told my wife "Forget this crap", complains to the front desk, they said ok and moved up again this time to room 101. Once again we packed up our stuff and moved to yet another room, checked it out, at first seemed ok until I prepared to take a shower. It took well over 10 minutes to get hot water, air conditioner only worked when we turned the temp setting to 60, the outlets on the lamps kept coming out of the sockets, and upon that, the key cards quit working like every 1 1/2 hrs, we had to have them redone.

The breakfast room was another thing, coffee pots stay empty most of the time during breakfast, top of refrigerator was absolutely horribly filthy, beside it was a trash can. They had the batter from the waffle maker all over the lid and the wall behind the trash can, and by the ice machine. When they painted, they painted around the ice maker, snack machine, and soda machine. This was the worst place we have ever stayed in. I was told we would NOT be charged for that night and that housekeeping would do a super clean the next morning and that management would call us.

Next day... Management NEVER called. Housekeeping NEVER cleaned the room PERIOD as we again returned very late from our tournament and the bed wasn't even made so we know they didn't come in nevertheless remove the USED condoms from under the chair. Sunday morning we got up extra early to get out of the gross room. Now the added insult: I noticed they charged us for THREE nights just as we were pulling out of the hotel. Turned around and went back in and after 20 minutes of arguing finally got them to charge us only for the TWO nights with a $12.64 discount for the "Inconvenience" we had for Friday night. (New receipt $174.24)

On 24 April 2017, our account was charged $280.32 ($93.44 per night X 3) We immediately disputed the charge with our bank and 01 May 2017 Super 8 received what was owed to them $174.24 (Per our receipt). WELL... Last night Super 8 charged our credit card AGAIN (17 May 2017). I called Super 8 and asked what authorization do they have to charge my card and all the receptionist had to say was "I'm not sure" and HUNG UP! Needless to say, our bank has declined the charge and we are seriously thinking of filing fraud/theft charges. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS MOTEL AS YOU CAN. If the nearby casino isn't booked again, as it was this year, for next year's tournament we'll sleep in our car before ever staying there again.

I and all of my children have asthma and I had asked online (even though it was booked through another party) for a non-smoking room and also for it to be handicapped accessible due to my mother coming with me. Instead of explaining upfront that the hotel had an elevator, the "manager" was rude about explaining things and told me that they do not look at room notes until someone checks in. Instead of trying to be somewhat professional, she let her true personality shine through. I told her "that her attitude sucks" and like a true professional, she hung up on me.

Needless to say, I did report her and her attitude. At the same time, I also told what I said back to her. When I called the hotel back to let them know I took care of the extra room, the lovely "manager" handed the phone off to the assistant manager who repeated the same thing as her "boss". I let her know that I had already taken care of the room cancellation, submitted online again my request for a handicapped accessible, non-smoking room AND reported the "manager" for her wonderful attitude. I also let her know that I trust that everything will be taken care of before I arrive on Thursday. If not, they will be reported yet again. The cord would not reach a different outlet, plus the light in the other outlet would turn off at the same time the tv would go off. The time was from 5 minutes to around 1/2 hour. It was doing that all the time we tries to watch tv. The next problem was minor, and at least had a common sense reason when we couldn't get breakfast on the 27th. They had a bus load of young people staying there and there was no room for us to get in to eat. But that was something I could at least understand. And the bathroom after I really inspected had mildew at the top in the corner of the tub. The back walls behind the toilet was not cleaned. The electrical cord behind the chair in the room was smashed into the wall and wouldn't come out. I took plenty of pictures.

They should have given me the discount but they did not care and for that reason I will never use this hotel again. It is about principle that they do not understand.

I booked a one night room at Super 8 Hotel on 1121 Bell Road Nashville TN and based on past years experience when obviously it was under American management, it was in good condition. When I entered the parking lot, the entrance to the rooms were through a dark, dangerous small alley - way. Suddenly, I was aware that the rooms wouldn't be much better.

When we arrived at the room, sure enough, the top cover was dirty and had holes in them. The towels were dingy and the entire room looked dirty. I didn't feel comfortable in the bed or even eating on the desks. One of the lamps were broken. I didn't even feel comfortable taking a shower, even after I had cleaned the room and the shower. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying at that hotel. The condition is disrespectful to all customers!

Booked rooms with Expedia month before arriving, booked 2 non smoking rooms, arrived and received 2 smoking rooms, asked why, was told first come first served, then was told our fault for using Expedia and not booking in person. Tried to stay in rooms but our room had burn holes in comforter and smell was unbearable. We had to go book rooms at another hotel. Called Expedia and hotel says they could only refund 2nd night stay, so we received half refund. Hotel did not give us what we paid for but is allowed to keep money for room, so I was penalized for them giving my paid non-smoking rooms to someone else. How is this right? I showed up on time, my room was booked and paid for in advance and yet they are allowed not to refund both nights.

I stayed at this location on the night of 10/18/2016. Room 159 know the back side of the property. I was really disappointed in the condition of my room. I have stayed in several motel 8s across florida and Georgia. First, the entry door was dirty and needed painting. Also, when closed there was a large gap and you could see daylight through the cracks. Next, the toilet plugged up on the first flush. Called desk. They were surprised that someone was in the room they had rented the room out to some else, and they were coming with a plunger. Never showed up. I finally fixed it myself. The carpet in the room smelled and felt wet in several spots. I wore my shoes the entire time I was there.

I went to take a shower on the morning of the 19th as I had a doctors appointment to 7:00 am. I pulled the handle know the water control and it pulled out of the wall but stayed fastened. I had stayed in this motel as a convenience so I wouldn't have to drive 65 miles from home for my appointment at 7 the next morning. This is the worse Super 8 I have ever stayed in and will probably never stay in one again. The staff was friendly and seemed overworked. I wasn't offered a receipt when I checked out as the desk person was busy on the phone.

My husband and I are 53 year old, non-partying, responsible, mature adults, who stayed at the Super 8 motel in Nashville, TN on Dickerson Pike on August 24, 2016 when we were traveling to visit with friends. We did not make a reservation in advance and paid with our debit card when we went in and got a room. The payment of $77.41 (the rate for a one night stay, including tax, etc.) shows clearing our bank account on August 29, 2016. Today, September 22, 2016, when checking our bank account, we found that a charge of $83.18 to Super 8 in Nashville, TN on Dickerson Pike is pending for August 24, 2016. They are trying to double charge us (and at a higher rate even!) for a one night stay at their hotel.

When I called the motel to ask why they were trying to run our debit card a month later and charge it AGAIN for the same night that we stayed there, I was told that the manager was not there and I would have to call back. This has happened 3 times now. Luckily, we are able to straighten this out at our bank, but I wanted others to be warned that this motel will do this to people and that it is totally unacceptable. The rooms were average motel rooms. They were clean enough. The customer service was average. The value for the area was average and I have used the star rating to reflect those things just to be fair, but this ordeal has turned us against ever staying at another Super 8 motel.

We arrived late in the afternoon in late June at a Motel8 in Brighton, CO... We had a reservation for the only motel room available in the entire area because there was some sort of big tournament in the Denver area and all the other motels were fully booked. When we went into the 2nd floor room we were assigned it was obvious that the climate control (air conditioning in this case) was not operating. I made a trip to the receptionist's area and informed the lady at the desk of the unbearable heat, only to be told that the maintenance man had gone home for the day. I explained to the receptionist that there was no way we could sleep in that heat and asked her to get somebody back to deal with the air conditioning.

Nobody came... so, at about 8 PM I returned to the front office to ask about the repairs and was informed that the maintenance personnel and the manager would be returning the next morning. Again, I insisted that the management attempt to get the issue corrected that evening, at which time I was told, in a very angry voice, "I will refund your money and you can find your own ** room" (obviously, most of that expletive has been replaced with other characters, but you get the idea). So now I had been cursed for expecting that the management would attempt to correct the issue before we had to face a night of oppressive heat in a room for which we had a reasonable expectation that climate control would be working.

The next day the manager had returned, so I discussed the issue with her. She did not listen, in fact she made every attempt to talk over me as I was explaining the problem. She did offer a 10% refund, which was obviously unacceptable given the circumstances, and said that they were going to have the A/C unit serviced that day, so we headed off to Denver for the day's planned activities. When we returned about 6PM the room was still sweltering hot; obviously, nobody had repaired the A/C. We had no choice but to stay in that motel room that night... and again, the sweltering summer heat deprived us of any opportunity to sleep.

Wyndam Group's customer service department just called this morning, so I was expecting a more acceptable resolution. The rep offered a 50% refund... this, again, was unacceptable because we were not able to use the room for the purpose for which we had rented it, specifically to sleep that night, too. The customer service representative was insistent that was all he would offer, despite the admission that he had the authority to offer a greater refund, and the reason he gave was that it was our choice to stay the second night. Again, I explained that all motel rooms (and car rentals) in the entire area were booked solid, but that did not seem to matter to him.

Needless to say, I am continuing to attempt to resolve this issue with the Wyndham Hotel Group, but if it is not resolved in a manner in which I find acceptable Wyndham can just kiss the possibility of getting any more of my business goodbye... and I have stayed in Motel8 accommodations in many locations between the Gulf of Mexico and the Rocky Mountain area without any problems such as this.

So... bottom line... if you expect your room's temperature to be maintained at a comfortable temperature, don't sleep at the Brighton, CO Motel8. If you think it is inappropriate for the counter staff to address you in a profane manner, you may want to avoid the Brighton, CO Motel8. If you choose to do so anyway, don't expect any help from the corporate office's customer relations department, you'll be sorely disappointed if you do.

Never again will I return to the Brighton, CO Motel8...and if the Wyndham Group's Consumer Affairs department does not resolve this issue in a manner in which I find acceptable, I will never again return to ANY Motel8, or any of the other Wyndham Group's properties. You can, however, avoid any such experiences if you will just listen to my story and avoid the real problem, which is the Wyndham Group's failure to make sure their outlets are managed in a professional manner.

The door was warped and would not shut properly. We intended to stay there on our family vacation but when we arrived we quickly found out that the lobby was the only presentable area of the whole place. We ended not staying there. We immediately went to the front desk to ask for our money back but were told that the manager was not there and we would probably not get our money back because we went through Priceline. I had booked 11 rooms at the hotel for my family first vacation to Kentucky Kingdom. I had booked these rooms over a month prior. When my guest first arrived at the hotel the sign to the left of the front desk stated that check in was at 2:00 p.m. EST. When my guest tried to check in she was told by a Shanelle that she could not check in until 3:00 p.m. EST due to the cleaning staff not finished with the rooms. She was ensured that when she checked in that her room would be perfect since she had to wait an hour before she could check in and go to the amusement park (Kentucky Kingdom). She paid with cash and went to her room.

Once she opened her door she called me and told me that the sheets were not clean, the bathroom still had rags from the prior guest and that there were holes in the wall by the bed. She went downstairs to ask for a refund and was told by the front desk lady (Danielle) that she had already drop the cash deposit at the bank. She was told that the manager Dave would be there on Sunday July 17 to refund her and that she would take her around to find a room that was better. Ms. ** (who was nice) took my guest to three rooms. One room had no air and had a box fan. The next room was full of cigarettes butts and smoke. The last room she took and then discovered "black mold" and her room door would not shut.

When I arrived I spoke to Ms. ** about the issue who at first stated that she is front desk and does not work in cleaning and the cleaning staff is not there. She stated that the only thing she could do is allow me to see my guest see their room first before they pay. At this point all of the surrounding hotels were booked (this is the reason why I constantly called to make sure everything was ok prior due to us checking in late to go to the amusement park first.) I looked at me and my mother in law room which were on the first floor and ok except for the fact my mother in-law t.v did not work. My next guest came in to check in and was shown 3 different rooms. The first room floor was missing in the bathroom. The next room the shower faucet was not on all the way, and the last room she stated also did not have any air and the lamp was broken. She decided to drive around to find another hotel and ended up with one far from the rest of us.

The next guest checked in and had a King reserved and was shown four different rooms. The first room did not have any air. The next room was full of smoke and not clean. The 3rd room only had one full size bed. The last room was full of trash but was ok enough to sleep. The next guest I had check in on the Friday 07/15/2016 and did not have any comforters on the bed. The last guest was ok with her room until she looked behind her dresser and it was full of trash and bugs.

I was told that Dave the manager would be in on Sunday. I waited to check out to only be told by Shenelle that he was not coming in for the day that she would give him my number. I called today 07/18/2016 and was told again by Shanelle that she didn't know if the manager would be in but she has my number. I told her that I am sure he won't call so I will continue to call. I am very embarrassed and disappointed at the treatment and the customer service that we received at this hotel.

Right after check in I was notified by American Express that my card was charged at the same time I checked in for 237.08. He said "no, we have other ways to deal with people like you."

So I left and did not stay there as they stole from me then threatened me when I complained. I was shocked at the way I was treated and will never stay at another super 8 again. And this has now become personal. How can you have people like that working there. After that I even got more of a run around by their 800 number customer service and email. I have a problem due to lack of understanding & or communication with this motels staff. I made two reservations for this motel as you will see. I checked in in Saturday morning, and upon doing so I told the young man at desk I had made two separate reservations. He told me that I only had one, and he charged me for one. My husband who was standing beside me told me "don't worry about it, let it go", as we were in a hurry and had our bags in room and leave. I paid and left it at that. The next morning (Sunday) before checking out, I called the front desk to inquire about the rate for another night's stay. The gentleman asked for my name, and room #, put me on hold and came back on line with price. We then decided to check out and go back home to Tampa (200 miles away).

Now, with all that said. We checked out Sunday. Sunday evening, I checked my account for the weekend's transactions & seen I was charged for the 2nd night stay (Sunday that was my original reservation) that I was told Saturday morning I didn't have. I called the motel, and was told that was my charge for not cancelling. I explained to this staff member the above circumstances & was told he would call me back Monday 7/4 by 12 pm. I waited until 2 pm, with no call. I called the motel & asked for the manager. He told me someone would call me back. I received call back by the same individual I had spoke with originally Sunday evening. He proceeded to tell me that he reviewed the tape and I never mentioned the second reservation/confirmation to the young man upon my check in. (I indeed mentioned this, and also in this "tape" is my husband telling me just let it go, don't worry about it right now. )

He proceeded to tell me I would get a call back by a manager and he was going to contact that young man and see if he remembered me, or our interaction. At 5 pm, I received a call from a "manager" who again told me I never mentioned my having 2 separate reservations & or confirmation(s), and he spoke to this young man & he didn't remember me bringing it up. Well, I didn't think he would as this was a very hectic time. With that, this manager told me it was my fault, and I skipped out on my reservation therefore they were not giving a refund of any sort. #1 With the staff knowing I was onsite. #2. I called front desk prior to check out for rate for that evening (being I was told I had no other reservation) they asked for my name. He put me on hold & came back with rate info.

Now, why would I have checked out, drive 200 miles back home shortening my stay, throwing away $185.00? Especially, me knowing they're aware I've been there? Doesn't make sense why a person that works hard for every dollar would do that. It wasn't as if I wasn't there at all. I stayed the one night they told me I had. If I had been there, where I had planned to be until Monday 7/4, I wouldn't have been in accident Sunday driving back home across the state of Florida having to be towed. I know that is out of anyone's hands, just saying that wouldn't have happened. They're refusing to listen to me, he said "What I say goes, it is your fault you're getting nothing back".

Take in mind this is a $80.00 a night facility, and during this special event profited 110% with the $182.00 rate. They wouldn't even compromise nor acknowledge their fault in events that led up to this. In closing I feel I was taken advantage of, and maybe in part that I only paid $62.00 for Sat 7/3, versus the nearly double going rate. Allowing this to happen is unacceptable. I have written a letter our Attorney General, Super 8 Corporate, and Wyndham Rewards. I feel I should receive compensation back.

This is my complaint regarding a recent hotel stay where I was extremely inconvenienced, verbally and physically assaulted by the hotel manager. I stayed at the Super 8 Hotel on West O Street in Lincoln, NE from Sunday until Wednesday (June 19 through 22nd 2016) and I booked it through Hotwire.com. Upon arrival, we noticed the room was hot (it was 90 plus degrees outside) and the air conditioning wasn't working. So we requested a room change, but was denied. Later the very rude manager who lives on property put a fan in our room while we were gone like that was a solution but it just blew hot air around in the hot room.

We made several complaints to Hotwire and eventually got a full refund. Last night (June 21) the room next to us flooding due to a pipe under the toilet and we (my fiance and I) alerted the on-site manager of the flooding and even helped her stop the water. When you see the photos at the link below you will see that the entire floor in that room, the hallway and our room was flooded and we had sustained damages to items we had on the floor.

The on-site manager that night quickly tried to remedy the flood in the hall and in the room next door which caused the ceilings on the first floor below us to collapse (also evident in the pictures) but no efforts were made to accommodate us or assess our property damage. The night manager only brought us extra towels and had contractors working all night which kept us up, causing me to miss my appointments Wednesday morning. The night managers and front desk people continuously told us they weren't authorized to assist us and that we needed to speak to the manager in the morning but she dodged us all the time. The front desk person told me she was dodging us and gave me the number to her husband and the hotel accountant.

After not hearing anything from management and calling for hours I approached the front desk today around noon. When I approached her I simply asked her to call Hotwire so she could confirm our refund because that is all Hotwire was waiting on. She claimed she didn't know the number to Hotwire and then said I should be thankful that she was allowing them to reimburse me for the room.

I told her that was only part of the problem. The flooding damaged our bags and the contents that were sitting by the door which included 3 laptops, 2 Android tablets, one iPad air and many of our clothes. I asked her for her insurance adjuster's name or for a claim form so we could make record of the damages and she told me and I quote, "you shouldn't have had your things on the floor, it's not my fault, it was an accident. So do what you need to do." I immediately contacted my local attorney Dana ** of London Law Firm (londonlaw@neb.rr.com) and he advised me to file a claim and reports with the police, Better Business Bureau, and Super 8 corporate.

Once I told the manager what I was instructed to do, she quickly turned off her surveillance camera systems and began attacking me verbally, calling me curse words, saying "what do you expect this is Super 8 not Radisson Inn, etc..." The young lady at the front desk with her told me she turned the cameras off and apologized repeatedly. I then turned on my recorder on my phone and asked the manager to repeat what she said after she said, "you black people are always causing problems and are so ** cheap." She also claimed I was a liar and that we had no damages even though she refused to come assess the damage with us. I included that video in the link below as well and in it you can see her smack me and try to take my phone away.

My fiance and I were in court all week at Lancaster County but tomorrow I am getting estimates to repair the devices and will try to assess the value of our clothing which is sour from sitting in water for hours. If the devices cannot be repaired, which I doubt they can be, maybe we can at least get the hard drives backed up and get the data transferred to new devices. Please help!!!

The workers were constantly using the F word without even caring if there were any kids around. The water was cut off at 6 pm on a 96 degree day. When asked to speak to a manager I was told she is not taking calls, it's her day off? Worst place I ever stayed. I watched the construction worked toss construction materials in to the weeds instead of walking to the dumpster. Never will I stay at a Wyndham hotel chain.

We spent $268 plus tax totaling $300.16 for two nights and two beds at Super 8, unfortunately. I was looking forward to going to a wedding and Super 8 ruined my weekend. When we first walked into the room it smelled horrible. I will just go down my list. The toilet tank was BLACK and all around the rim also. The next day the toilet plugged up and we had to get someone to unplug it. The shower curtain had specks of mold on it and it smelled terrible. We asked the desk clerk if he had a new shower curtain to put up. He said he didn't but he could go up and spray it with Clorox. Which he did and he cleaned the toilet. We asked him for more toilet paper as the roll that was already in there upon arriving was only one quarter of a roll.

The telephone was dead and about 20 years old. The t.v. was fuzzy and again around 20 years old. The wall socket in the bathroom was so worn out that we could not use it. We asked the clerk for another chair so we could play cards or something and we didn't get one so I sat on the cooler. The carpet was filthy under the bed skirts where we found a 10 inch dog toy and dirt. We found a big bottle of shampoo and conditioner in the window sill. There was NO air conditioning in the hallways. It was 90* outside. We were afraid to get into bed in fear of bed bugs.

For warning, there are no elevators but I heard Hotels with only two floors does not have elevators. We both have health issues, hip problems and back problems. This is not a place for handicap people to stay. We were in Noblesville, Indiana. I suggest you stay somewhere else other than Super 8. There was no microwave or refrigeration. Room was totally too expensive for the misery we suffered.

Horrible experience overall with this hotel. I have stayed at many other hotels over the years. Super 8 is the worst in room accommodation and customer service. The phone in my assigned room did not work. One of the buttons on the TV remote did not work. There was a scorched area on the rug. No fitted bottom sheet on the bed; mattress, mattress pad, and then a top sheet and then another top sheet on top of the other one. Children running up and down the hall laughing and screaming at 11:30 pm. Heard people above me on the 2nd floor walking around. Few pounding noises next door as if someone had hit the wall, occurring intermittently in the evening and at 5 am. Room doors shutting loudly and repeatedly at 5 am and lasting for about an hour. Can hear water running from the floor above; shower, toilet. The remote control for the TV was replaced, but the phone never fixed.

At check in, the front desk person (night attendant, male) stated (before I noticed any problems) that all single queen beds are only located on the first floor. This was stated after I requested to have a room closer to my relatives whose room was located on the 2nd floor with the double queen beds. At around 6 am, I got out of bed after not being able to go back to sleep, complained to the female desk clerk about the noise issue and the accommodations. I asked her how many customers are on the first floor. She stated no vacancies. I then asked about the 2nd floor. She again stated no vacancies and so on. Her response to my complaints were basically "sorry" and "the manager will be here at 8 am." A little after 8 am I approached the desk and the manager, Bob ** was there.

I told him the complaints I had including the noise issue. He stated I could have moved to the upper floors and confirmed it does get noisy. Told him I was told no vacancies and that only single queen beds were located only on the 1st floor. Asked him if he believed in fitted bottom sheets. His response. "Huh? On what size bed? Oh, no, we don't have fitted bottom sheets for queen beds." Must not because my relatives on the 2nd floor didn't have fitted bottom sheets on their beds either. Did this manager have any respect or great customer service skills? Absolutely not!

No respect, no empathy, no discount for my room, no recourse of any sort. No great hotel management skills of any kind. Deplorable! Absolutely deplorable! Who trained this person to be a manager and why was he hired? He obviously did not have any hotel management or customer service skills. I have duly noted that Singh Resorts, Inc., are the owners. I will further add that my stay at this hotel was like being in a third world country in a third rate hotel. The money spent was far too expensive for the value provided.

I went to the front desk and informed them of this so we would not be charged for damages. Their response, "We probably do know about the burn marks. I'm sorry." When we turned the bed down to go to sleep, there were holes in the comforter and sheets. I was so unimpressed that I moved the sheets and checked for bed bugs!! Thankfully there were none. We returned after breakfast, when they "cleaned" the room, to find they restocked towels and just pulled the sheet and comforter up. My hair was still in the tub from that morning and toothpaste in the sink. The staff were not very friendly. I will never stay there again nor will I recommend it.

After whoever it was had left, the front desk called the room phone. My wife answered, but could not understand anything the caller said. We were roused out of sleep a third time by someone knocking on the door. That person could not be understood either. The toilet in our bathroom did not flush correctly and the rest of my night was filled with dreams of someone trying to break into our room. I am a light sleeper and sure enough, just rolling over in bed it woke me up. When my wife moved around in her bed, I woke up. Taking a shower, the ceiling fan started making noise after a few minutes. It made a rattling sound. The armature shaft was bouncing around inside the bushing. During the night the fitted sheet came loose. In the morning I noticed that the fitted sheet was too small.

The elastic corners didn't go under the corner of the mattress. In the morning, my wife found ants on the dresser top. I caught one in a paper tissue and took it to the front desk. I parked on the north side and used a side entrance. A sign on the outside mentioned that this door will remain closed. I laughed. It didn't even close. The door hit the door frame. So much for security. Also, in the bathroom, there was very little counter space for toiletries. In the morning I took a shower and the drain couldn't keep up with the water flowing out of the shower head.

After seeing the error on my confirmation I called the hotel, it was fully booked? If there was a cancellation I would get it. When I called the hotel again they told me they have a 2 queen room but I would have to pay 129 dollars for it. I refused because I already paid for the room 2 months earlier. They told me I could have a rollaway bed. I called again and was told the rollaway bed was reserved for me. But when we arrived on may 28 2016 at 3 pm there was no rollaway bed? 7 rollaway beds were missing? And the staff didnt know where they where? Very poor management. A queen bed for 3 adults doesn't fit.

I stayed at other Super 8 before and I am a member of wyndham rewards member and never had such a bad experience. The manager offered another room for 58 dollars more. We had no other choice. The room had one bed, no ref or microwave, but I could hear the snoring in the next room. To top it all, we printed our boarding passes on their computer. When we went through the tsa agents at the gate, my boarding pass was disqualified. Had to go back to the aa counter to redo my boarding pass. I called Super 8 consumer services and waited 30 minutes to offer my complaints but all they could do was apologize. The next time I'll book through hotels.com and use the kiosk at the airport.

Not only did the manager yell and raise his voice to me, he also told me I needed to get a better pair of glasses so I can read the print. I find that less than courteous, I will never book through expedia or Super 8 phoenix again. Very bad experience. I give them a -1.

I had registered for two nights at the Super 8 in Luverne, Mn. The first night I arrived I was exhausted and wanted to take a shower. I let the water run for 5 min. and it was luke warm. I called down to the desk and they placed me in another room. Followed through with a shower and went to sleep. Realized when I woke up the next morning that I had overslept. I set my alarm on my phone but apparently the electrical socket didn't work (My phone was dead). When I got up in the morning I also realized that my door was open to the public due to a defective dead lock bolt. You just needed to lean on the door when bolted and anyone could enter. Quickly place in the third room the bathroom door looked like someone had put a fist through it and fixed the hole with a piece of paneling. The shower again was luke warm.

Packed my bags and went down to the lobby and wanted my money back. I was willing to pay for the one night I stayed, and requested my money back for the second night that I didn't stay (I was done, time to leave). They claimed that they couldn't do that. So I stayed in an unsafe motel for one night and paid the price for two. You will never see me at that house of nightmare again. The bottom line is, why should a guest be placed in three different room's during one stay and still be dissatisfied and yet not accommodated.

This happened a while back when I went to the super 8 in Louisville Kentucky 101 central ave. It was horrible. The bed had whole in it, the water pressure was bad. The toilet would not stop making noise and to top it all off, on a rainy day the blow dryer did not work for my wet hair! I told the lady downstairs I wanted to speak to the manager and she was being rude and told me, "She is not here right now." I have to come back.

May I mind you, me and my friend were traveling to Texas so we had to start driving soon. I told her not a problem. Me and my friend went to eat and then came back 2 hours later. She told us the same thing, that her manager is not there yet. So then I started getting annoyed and the lady said so disrespectfully, "YOU WILL CALL ME MAM. Go back to your state if you don't like it here."

For a worker to talk this way to me is just baffling! I asked her for my receipt and she refused to give it to me. This became into an actual argument and we started screaming at each-other. It ended up with her chasing me out of the hotel, and me and her cursing at each other until the police came! I have a video for proof! What worker would do such a thing? I wanted my receipt, I had a right to it and it is illegal not to give it. I wanted a refund or partial refund for the room!

I stayed in the "second building" once due to location convenience for a business trip. Old place, old carpets, but doable... except for horrible internet connection which made business a task--also the entire main floor wreaked of chlorine (indoor pool). I could not do business due to the internet being so poor without going back and forth to Starbucks to use their internet. But the location was perfect for my work needs so... Called a month later to see if the internet was fixed. Was told they had a "new" internet system put in; however, they booked me into the "dog" building which is the main building--they didn't tell me that the "new" internet was ONLY in the other building. I was bringing my dog this time since I was moving to Spokane this trip.

So I came back and intended to stay for 3 weeks while waiting to move into a house. I was still doing business. They put me in a cubbyhole off the main hallway--there was only one room directly beside me--I had asked for a quiet room due to high noise levels during my last stay. Also, I had to move in a ton of stuff since I was moving to Spokane and did not want to leave it all in my car. This was a nightmare stay. NIGHTMARE. Internet was worse than first time. They made every excuse in the book about it, just as they had done my first stay. Once again, I had to leave and go to Starbucks to get an internet connection each day and night. Furthermore, the first two night were quiet, then they surrounded my room, above and below and next door, literally, with about 8 other guests.

Meanwhile, it was not off-season and the place was nearly empty otherwise. From outside of the building, you could see at night that the lights were on in the rooms surrounding my room, but nowhere else. The rest of the hotel was dark, as in nobody was in the other rooms. I guess so the maids would not have to walk an extra 15 or 20 feet they bunched us all together? This time the noise was unbearable due to paper thin walls. At 2 am it sounded like the people above me were remodeling and moving furniture. Remember, when booking, I had requested two things. An internet connection (not unheard of in 2015), and a quiet room, not unheard of in a dead hotel in the off season.

The room next to me was extraordinarily loud. Their door did not shut, it SLAMMED, all night. Truckers were moving in at all hours of the night--they hide their trucks behind the building which I discovered when walking my dog. It is a trucker motel. No quiet room or decent sleep. It was bad. And no internet other than 15 minutes here and there. I tried to move to the other building as they now said that that was where the new updated internet was...but again, that building did not allow dogs. Not sure why, as the carpets and furnishings are very old there, too. However the carpets were beyond old and filthy and buckling in the main building where they put me this time, even in the hallways.

Next, my toilet did not work properly for THREE days. Sanitary??? I called and went to the front desk daily about the toilet and they acted surprised it was not fixed, "He has not come by yet? We put an order in." It took three days for the toilet to get half-fixed in a near-empty hotel--they said they had three maintenance men. It still did not flush right. And the inside of the toilet and the sink ball had gross fungus on it that was about a half-inch thick. The guy said the parts looked original, as in thirty or forty years old. That fungus looked unhealthy. It grossed me out.

Again, I had moved a ton of stuff into the room from my car as I had traveled up the coast to move to Spokane. I am a small woman in my 50's, with a bad back and arthritic hands (handicap sticker) and I did not want to have to move everything again. However, after day 2 or 3 I opened my door one morning to find that they had surrounded the walls and blocked much of my front door with huge cabinets, with no warning. FIRE HAZARD!!! I have worked in a hotel. I have been a restaurant manager. This is basic safety code 101. You do not put large objects, any objects, in front of the only escape route from a hotel room. Ever. The cabinets were massive.

I could not believe it. I went down for the 50th time and asked when this stuff would be moved and why it was there. The maintenance guy happened to be behind the front desk and I swear he said, "It's bothering you?" These folks could not be bigger amateurs or hillbillies. I told him it was a fire hazard and it was blocking my entry. His response? "It's in my way, too..." WOW. And in fact, they had lined most of the main hallway, PLUS the stairwell landings with these massive cabinets. So yes, I guess these massive cabinets "were in his way, too". Instead of renting a storage unit, they created a bizarre eye sore and a fire hazard. The cabinets were nearly as tall as I am. I have photos. The cabinets remained there for days until I moved out in disgust. Between this, and the toilet, and the noise, I asked to be moved to a safe room (no obstructed doorway) and a quieter room.

They moved me to the third floor. The room was a disgrace. It was so old it looked like something out of a movie. NO PRIDE. The carpets were rippling so badly (I took photos), they buckled up and down like ocean waves, especially by the bed. The carpet was unsafe. Again, unsafe. Those loose rippling carpets were not up to basic safety codes. The room was so dingy it literally depressed me. Were they punishing me for asking to move? Where do these arrogant idiots get off thinking they can get away with this?

I was extremely fed up by this time, and I planned to move out the next day--I had had to leave that day (to get internet) and work or I would have moved out after they put me in the gulag room. I didn't look at this second room before loading the luggage rack with all of my things. I never dreamed that after all I had been through they would put me in a disgusting room with hideous nasty carpets--I was nice the entire time I was there, btw, despite my awful stay. Perhaps I should have been a **.

After falling asleep that night in my dirty dingy depressing room I was awoken very early in the morning to a burning sensation and stinging on my arm. It literally woke me up. I went in the bathroom and turned on the light. My arm looked like a spider had bitten me. It was already swelling around the bite wound. Clearly, something had bitten me. I showered and went down to the front desk again (I had already had to call or go down many times due to the internet, the toilet, and the cabinets, and the noise levels). The girl behind the desk said it was a "spider bite" (very casually) without me even saying it, and that she would "let the manager know", Liz **. This was early in the morning.

I had to leave to get internet and work, but I heard nothing all day or that night from **. She did not contact me on my phone or on the room phone. By early that evening I noticed my arm was swelling badly and that the area around the bite was disintegrating as in the flesh was rotting away. I went down to the front desk again and asked where I was supposed to go for help and if there was paperwork I could file for an incident report. They had nothing and no designated place for me to go. The girl did say my arm looked "scary" and that I needed to go to an emergency room right away, which I already knew.

So, instead of working that night I spent it in the ER well into the wee hours of the morning. Incidentally, before leaving that night for the ER I had again asked the front desk to make sure the manager knew I was going to the ER and to have her call me early the next morning. I was again told the ** would contact me. In the ER I had to get TWO antibiotics for the spider bite, and the doctor said the flesh was indeed eating away and that it was turning into cellulitis. As I mentioned, I had planned to move out that day after they moved me into that hideous room, but I had to work and I wanted to see if my arm was going to get worse before leaving. Furthermore, I had just moved all of my things to the second room, and now I was going to have to move it all again to my car and then into another hotel. More work time lost.

The next morning I woke up, and the manager had still not contacted me. I went down to the front desk and again I asked if the manager knew I had been bitten and been to the ER and again I was told she knew. I told the girl in the breakfast area what had happened and she literally said, "You should go to another hotel." WOW. Incidentally, the breakfast is sugary junk, just what you would expect truckers to eat, with some mushy bananas and processed biscuits with gravy that has some gross mystery meat in it. Disgusting. No eggs, no bacon, no good fruit, nothing healthy.

So, I worked for a couple of hours in the lobby waiting to hear from the manager. Tumbleweeds. Finally I decided to load my car and let them know I was checking out. I again asked for the manager to call me. She did not. After about an hour and a half of loading my things back onto the luggage dolly and then back into my car, I went back to the front desk to check out. I asked for the manager again (it had gotten past the point of ridiculous).

Surprisingly, Liz ** finally made an appearance. She was dressed like a customer, not a manager. I asked her if she knew about my spider bite. And my ER visit. And the broken toilet for three days which never got fully fixed. And the cabinets blocking my doorway. And the unbearable noise in the wee hours of the night. And my having to change rooms. And my being told the internet worked which is the only reason I came back and stayed at the hotel--it did not work properly. And the buckling dangerous carpets in the second room. Yes, she knew about it all. She was very chipper and nonchalant.

She acted like we were buddies and she just chit-chatted away. "The second building is going to be a separate hotel," she told me. ? "The cabinets in the hallways were sold and we hope he picks them up soon." ? "We have 3 maintenance men, I have no idea why it took 3 days to get your toilet fixed and running." ? Blah, Blah, Blah. It was like she was in another world of fantasy and roses and could not grasp how awful poorly her hotel was run, because of HER.

As always, I was nice, in shock, but nice. LIZ ** is the reason Super 8, Spokane Valley is a dangerous excuse for a hotel. Liz ** is the reason her guests are staying in unsafe conditions. They blatantly lied about the internet being new in the main building or I would have never booked a second time. I have managed several highly successful restaurants in Santa Monica and Malibu and never would I allow my guests to stay in such poor conditions. I told ** I wanted her to take care of my stay. She said she would (she never offered, by the way).

I told her I needed a form to file to cover my spider bite and ER visit. Her response? "Oh, corporate will have to handle that." The end. She did not give me a number to call, an email, an address to mail forms to, or a FORM??? Then she traipsed off. I went to do my final check out. For all of the hassle and the horrible experience LIZ ** gave me 10% off. Ten percent. She said she was going to "take care of my bill?" 10% was a final nail in the coffin. I paid $500-plus for this experience.

So, I have contacted Wyndham corporate customer service repeatedly by email. Wyndham hotels owns Super 8. Ha! They keep sending me back to Liz ** and Super 8, Spokane Valley, telling me she will get in touch with me. SHE HAS NOT. In fact, the con game continues. I had to leave ** a voice message as she is conveniently never available and has never contacted me.

I am going straight to the top, to the CEO of Wyndham Hotels, Stephen P. Holmes. Wyndham owns the Super 8 chain, even though their customer service keeps trying to pass the buck back to Super 8 in Spokane Valley, saying it is a "franchise" and they have no control. NOBODY IS IN CHARGE OF THIS HOTEL? And true to form, Wyndham customer service also has not sent a claim form for my ER visit. Which explains why Liz ** thinks she will get away with this. None of them are professional enough to take any responsibility, and they all keep the con game going, meanwhile the customer suffers and wastes endless time and is out the money.

I will also be CC'ing everybody below Stephen P. Holmes, the CEO, in my letter, including the Wyndham hotel Board of Directors (I have researched all the names and contact info), all the way down to Liz **. I am also reporting Super 8 Spokane Valley to the BBB, the Attorney General (will CC them), the Mayor's office (will CC him), City Code (thankfully I photographed everything), the local papers (small towns love a good story), American Hotel and Lodging Association, US Travel Association, National Fire Protection Association, CheckSafetyFirst.com, OSHA, and I will also be posting my photos online at all of the Trip search sites and Yelp.

Left message for manager to call me. No return calls, even after I called again & again. The last time I talked to the lady at the desk, she said my messages were given to him. I told her where the holder would have fallen to please go look... No nothing. I made the 6 hour trip up to Nacogdoches again but this time to the Police. Lost over $40,000 of jewelry gone. I had a very dissatisfied experience at Super 8 in Baker City, OR. I had made an extended stay reservation approximately 3 weeks prior to the stay, agreeing to a rate. I called to confirm the reservation dates and rate several times before the day came. The day to check in came and I checked in without a problem. The hotel is poorly maintained, and poorly cleaned. Noticed problems right away as they told us if we needed an extra towel we could not use one, but had to wait until the next day. On the second or third evening I was told by someone working there that I would have to leave the next day. I was shocked at this news as my reservation was not near the end date. I attempted to have a discussion with the employee, who stated was the manager, who told me that they "needed the room." I was shocked and confused, told him that I had a reservation and he needed to honor that.

He stated that he always check to see if there were a different room available and move me, but that the weekend was coming up and he needed the room because a lot of people had been calling inquiring about a room. I remained stunned and stated that was not right. He told me that I do not know anything about how to run a hotel and that I could stay, but he would have to raise the rate. I also told him that was not acceptable as I had locked in the rate with the reservation. He stood firm that I could stay at a higher rate. Not too long after I learned that he had charged my credit card before I had even checked out, and for some reason it was flagged as fraudulent with Visa. Still unclear why.

I checked out the next day or day after due to all of this, going to a different hotel. I am dumbfounded still that I was basically kicked out of a hotel or threatened with a last minute rate change. I spoke with the owners and they did credit the difference and later honored the original agreed upon rate, however this should never have happened and needed to be reported.

My husband and I were traveling back from our honeymoon and pre booked a room at this facility. We booked a non smoking/king bed room for one night. The room also had a refrigerator and microwave provided. When we arrived we noticed there was an outdoor pool in the parking lot with no shade near the entrance. There was no attendant at the desk when we arrived. We waited several minutes before one came through the door explaining he had to go pick up his son. Check went ok. Once we got to the room, we noticed that there was an overwhelming musty smell. The alarm clock was unplugged, the refrigerator and microwave were not running.

We called the desk and they had us turn on a switch to start the fridge and microwave. We unloaded the car and my husband decided to go swim and I laid on the bed and read for a short time. I went to take a shower and the fixtures were hanging out of the wall. The sink counter molding was broken and the sink was coming off the wall. My husband came back and said the pool was filthy and the filtration system was not working. When I got out of the shower I noticed bites on my arms and legs that were not there before we checked in. My husband took off the sheets from the old bed and checked the mattress and found questionable debris.

He then went to the front desk where again there was no attendant. He called the desk phone and no answer, looked outside, came back in and yelled several times before an attendant came from the back. He explained that we would like a refund and he was questioned why. We had found a review stating possible bed bugs and after letting the manager know (name on manager board was GP) about what we found he also mentioned the bedbug review. We were refunded our full amount. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and have never had this bad of an experience.

In June of 2015, I made a reservation at the Super 8 Motel in Humboldt Iowa for August 7th to August 24th. I requested a 2 bedroom and was quoted a daily rate of $68.70 by the room clerk on duty at that time. I was given the reservation #**. I called a week ahead to confirm my reservation for the above dates. I arrived in Des Moines Iowa at 9:00 am and met a cousin for lunch and stopped in Fort Dodge and had coffee with a friend before checking in the motel in Humboldt around 3:00 pm.

The male clerk on duty at the time I checked in was busy with another guest so he handed me a blank sheet which required my car license and signature which I filled in. I advised the clerk I had a reservation. He gave me room 218 which was upstairs and a smoking room. I told him I was 80 years old and had difficulty getting upstairs, let alone carry up my luggage and a non smoker. He told me the motel was booked full and I got the only room that was left. Apparently reservations aren't honored. The clerk offered to carry my luggage up for me which he did. The room reeks so bad or smoke that no amount of spraying air freshener took the odor away. I complained and was moved to a room downstairs the next morning. The smell gave me a headache.

During my stay I did check if the motel had a weekly rate which I was told they did not. Upon check-out the clerk pulled up my bill and said I had paid on it and I said "no," but maybe my son paid something on the bill. I then found out I was charged a rate of $86.00 per day plus $96.00 on the weekends. I had just assumed that I got the rate that was quoted to me when I make the reservation. No mention of a higher weekend rate was ever given to me. At that time I also found out my Discover card had been charged $1,393.28 on August 21st without my permission. I had a balance of $311.36 which I paid, as the clerk said she could not do anything differently and when I asked to speak to the manager I was told she was out of town until Thursday. I left a message for her to contact me as I had a flight out that day.

I called the manager, Sherry **, on August 26th as I was leaving to go to Ohio on the next day and wanted to talk to her before I left. The manager was not very pleasant - said she would check into the situation and call me back which she did the next day. She told me the clerk who took my reservation said I had asked for a smoking room. No mention of a smoking or upstairs room or different rates was ever discussed when I make the reservation. The manager said I had signed the sheet when I checked in giving the rates. I was given a blank form with no info on it at the time. She gave no explanation as to why my rate was higher than I was quoted or why they had charged my Discover card on August 21st without my permission. I told her I enjoyed staying at the motel during my stay in Iowa but I would never stay at a Super 8 motel again.

I feel I was treated very unfairly and overcharged. I did not check the rates during my stay as I thought I was getting the rate I was quoted when I make my reservation. I also thought that I had a room reserved and not one that was "left over". What would have happened if there was another guest ahead of me??? My reservation would have been cancelled??? The confirmation number on my check out sheet is ** and account number **.

He was nice to go out of his way to get a room ready for me. My first day I felt itchy and found myself scratching a lot. I blamed it in cold temperature and thought nothing of it. The next morning I went on my way to go about my business. I came back that night to take a rest. Again I found myself more itchy than before. I was scratching left and right and found multiple bite marks in different parts of my body and down below on my bed, there it was. A big fat bedbug scrambling around. I took a picture of it, then squished it between my nails.

I quickly went downstairs and talked to the front desk. It was 2 am and she moved me to another room. The next morning, my checkout day, I talked to the manager. I told him what happened. He told the front desk to clean my luggage and washed all my clothes. He gave me a discount, one night off instead of 2. It was a horrible experience but I must say the staff were really nice. It was unfortunate that this happened. The building is just really old and in need of major renovation. I hope they take care of this pest problem. But bedbugs are just not acceptable.

My family and I stayed at a Super 8 for the first time and it was the last time. The room was dirty and smokey when it was supposed to be non-smoking. Burn holes in the linen and broken everything in the room. Asked to change rooms because of these but no other rooms available. Couldn't unpack bags because room was that bad and to top everything off my ten-year-old daughter got cut on her foot with a piece of glass. Front desk at night didn't know what to do except give us a Band-Aid. We were not charged for the first night and we canceled second night to ruin our plans because of this. Daytime desk said this wouldn't have happened if we got a non-smoking room (which we wanted to begin with) but that should not matter!! Very disappointed that we haven't been contacted since August 21.
