I booked this place because it is close to NYC and reasonably priced. When we arrived around 3pm, the receptionist told us that the reservation was canceled because of a declined credit card. It didn’t make sense to me because the payment should be made at the property, and what does it matter if I had a non-working credit card. As it turns out, my preferred credit card at Hotels.com was a valid one. I couldn't understand how they got the declined credit card number from Hotels.com.
Anyway, I told them I still needed a room to stay with my young children, and they said that it would cost me ~$580 for 3 nights, and they only had a king bed room. Later, I was escalating and pretending to call the police while my husband was talking to Hotels.com. They said if I listened and apologized to them, I could get the room with the original price and two queen beds that I reserved?? There is no doubt that this place does this to make more money. It is not a good business practice.

Wow, well done Wyndham...You successfully have managed to ensure that the hotel industry has become a corrupt underground organization that allows the mistreatment and violation of guest rights...even when in the end we are paying customers, expecting what you seem to proudly advertise as a safe & respectful home away from home. Not only are your front desk staff beyond discriminative... they also have a knack for being hostile and disgustingly inappropriate when it comes to guest service within a so-caller establishment. Regardless of the condition of Super 8, it should carry the same values and mission of any running hospitality organization.
Not only was our room unsanitary and bug infested... we also had a non-working tv, no cable, and we were denied any provided amenities such as towels, toilet paper, coffee, sugar, and creamers...let alone breakfast and use of laundry facility. We had to take our own garbage to the garbage bin all the way on the other side of the building. When we asked for towels, we were rudely told no...and after a week of using the same towels..we finally were "allowed" one towel for two people... and we had to walk all the way to the laundry room to give them our dirty towels in order to get the one new towel. When we asked for toilet, we were questioned why we needed it, and had to go buy our own?!
Every night we had to hear loud people and constant partying...we even had a stranger banging on our door in the middle of the night. The front desk called us early in the morning blaming us for being too loud playing our non-existent video games all night with a non-working tv... Hmmm. Being a same-sex couple, we are not surprised with the treatment...it seems to be a on-going issue wherever we go. We called the Whyndem guest line to complain, and when bringing up discrimination and unruly treatment towards us, the agent LAUGHED!
How ** humiliating! What has happened to the hospitality industry?! There is no respect towards the guest...We are just a money maker to them. We politely asked the agent multiple times to transfer us to a manager as we wished to escalate our complaint, to which he denied multiple times.... Finally he transferred us to a woman who also was just as rude and insulting as the previous employee. She told us it would be resolved within a week, and then hung up on us...and in the end the issue wasn't reeolved. We weren't even being rude, we weren't yelling, and we spoke to them with respect... which we had hoped would be the same...
It's completely unacceptable. Your whole organization is a lie. You state on your website, regarding your mission and values: "We make hotel travel possible for all. Wherever people go, Wyndham will be there to welcome them. This mission, along with our values, guides the way we do business every day." "Our signature Count on Me service culture encourages each team member to be responsive, be respectful and deliver great experiences to our guests." "We hold ourselves to the highest standards. We’re responsible, truthful and transparent. We do the right thing." "We honor our commitments and deliver results. Under any circumstance, we stand up and say: “Count on Me." "We respect differences in people, cultures, ideas and experiences. We foster partnership. We welcome all." "We never underestimate the power of compassion. We generously give our time, attention and action."
That being said, they did hold true to their mission statement, let alone resolve or make right for the blatant mistreatment that they put apon us....and they most certainly did not even have the common courtesy to call us back after a week to ensure our satisfaction, let alone give us a sound piece of mind that our concerns were even heard let alone met. It's sad watching the hospitality industry literally go down the drain, and the customer no longer comes first in their eyes, as the dollar bills seems to be a bigger concern in the end.

A staff member's child allowed a large dog to purposely loose 5 times after having been told to take the dog upstairs. The dog jumped on me an hour later when I emerged from my room. It lunged at my face & dug its claws into my sweater & skin. I carry a medical document stating an exposure to pesticide could prove fatal to me. I could not touch this dog. I yelled for somebody to get this dog off of me. The mother of the child who worked there came and so did the manager. They yelled at me accusing me of yelling at the child. I was yelling for ANYBODY, SOMEBODY to help me. The manager deflected the seriousness of the situation by telling me how wrong I was to stay at a pet friendly motel. There is nothing which states that staying there means that a guest will be subjected to dog attacks and the guest must tolerate it, when their clothing is torn or their skin is broken or worse yet the dog draws blood.
When I tried to explain I was yelling for somebody to get that dog off of me, they refused to listen to me. Instead of an apology for this child being permitted to let this dog OUT OF CONTROL in the lobby not once but 5 times, I was evicted and told to get out and not come back. Management and the employee who owned the dog did not once ask if I was ok. They did not ask to see my clothing or my skin. I was just thrown out. This is outrageous that an employee is repeatedly permitted to violate policy and the guest is punished. Do not ever stay at this motel. It was a nightmare, I was petrified of this huge dog that came up to my shoulders when it lunged at my face. NOBODY CARED.

As I pulled in I notice 8-10 seemingly homeless people around the premises. Two couches with no cushions sat by the front door. I pulled into a parking place and the people sitting beside me were obviously living in their vehicle. The portion of the building directly in front of parking had lots of windows that were covered in ripped-apart insulation. I assume this had been the pool area- it looked like a tornado had gone through the wall. I locked my car and went to the front door- already afraid. The door had a printed sign that said “lobby opens at ten pm”. I assumed they meant closed and went in. The doors were filthy. The lobby looked dark and disheveled. There was no one in there- it seemed abandoned.
Another printed note taped to the plastic barrier between the worker and guest said “away from desk, will return”. I waited and worker came from the back on his phone and asked for my id/card which I had to slide under the excessive, hard, plastic divider. Think of an inner city liquor store or check cashing shop- somewhere that fears being robbed. This was NOT designed for COVID protocols. He asked if I had pets and I said I had an assistance animal with paperwork but that their bio indicated they allowed animals.
He said he would allow pets with an extra $40 fee and not in the “jacuzzi” room that I had booked for $80. I was already afraid of him and of this place but I tried to explain that their website did not say there was extra charges and that I had a service animal not a pet. He just kept repeating that he didn’t see pets on my reservation (because I don’t have pets- I have a service animal). I knew this place felt dirty and was not safe. He refused a cancellation and I walked out. Later I see he overcharged me and refused a refund because I ‘cussed’. (I called the hotel **) This hotel is beyond old or dingy. It is filthy and dangerous.

I have been the victim of stalking. So I'm staying at this Warrensburg, NY Super 8 for one night. I ask the young man at the front desk if he can keep my room private. I explain I have had a stalking situation. Being the wonderful person he apparently is, he announces my room loudly number in front of an itinerant looking guest hanging around while I check in. Then later he tells me he doesn't participate in stalking adding in a vaguely threatening way, "unless the person did something to deserve it." Wow the Super 8 really hires classy people in Warrensburg. If you are a woman concerned about security I would avoid this hotel.

I am a woman traveling alone. I asked the front desk guy to keep my room # private because I have had a stalker. He yells out my room number to an itinerant looking guest. Then in a very creepy manner, says to me he doesn't participate in stalking "unless the person did something to deserve it." After this, I had a parade of sirens and honking car horns outside my hotel room for hours.

I stayed at the Super 8 by Wyndham Hotel located at 1808 1st St., Kennett, Missouri between 10/15/22 - 10/19/22. Upon check in, I met with the owner who identified himself as **, polite. As I went to my room (110), I noted the floors enroute were very dirty. After entering the room, I noted the towels were dirty, the carpet was unclean, and there was exposed wiring where the electrical components were plugged in. I tried to get out of the reservation (made via hotelcounter.com), but the deal was no refund upon acceptance. I was stuck for 4 nights.
While there, I was approached by two street persons seeking money in the lobby in two days, and I observed a female prostitute coming and going twice, escorted by another female. The breakfast that was advertised never was, and the coffee pot that was pointed out to me by ** was not filled for two days. I observed someone take a coffee on the third day and I tried it. It was days old, cold, and tasted horrible. I poured it out fearing I could become ill. While there, I met a couple who told me they were leaving, describing their experience the same as I had. They went across the parking lot to an America's Best Hotel.
I would not recommend this facility to anyone, particularly if you had an animal or children, as you are putting your family and pets at risk. I am willing to testify to my experience if necessary. The health department certainly needs to visit this facility. I put in a complaint at Wyndham Hotels via customer service, told the proprietor what I was doing, and also informed Hotel Counter reservations about this experience. Do not stay at this hotel unless this is your way to travel. It was disgusting.

Hotel manager Danny in Logan Utah is absolutely fantastic. Very personable. Employees make or break any business. It’s clear that Danny is in the people business, he’s there to help your stay be pleasant and you feel like a top priority around him. His confidence about his industry and helps you feel confident about your staying at the Super 8. The little extras like a pool and the continental breakfast in a quaint establishment is a bonus.

If I could 0 stars I would!! This is a HORRIBLE Hotel!! False advertising and the worst customer service we have ever had!! Do not waste your time at this place! We found hair on the sheets, toilet wouldn’t flush, and the lamps wouldn’t work! When we notified management they said we were making things up! Then the manager also said, "Oh, you can also leave a bad review but I know how to respond to those!" After hassling with them they finally gave us another pair of sheets…. But guess what!! Dirty and hair on the sheets!! Will never come to this hotel again! Beware! And when we left (did not stay) and asked for a refund the manager Paul Patel said no refund. We had to contact Priceline. We contacted Priceline and they wouldn’t give us a refund because they contacted the hotel already and manager said there were no issues!!! Complete liars!! We will never use Priceline or Super8 again.

On June 20- June 22 I stayed at the Super 8 location: 557 Warrenton Rd Fredericksburg VA 22406. While there, I was placed in the most filthy rooms I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. The first room I was placed (#120) in had several leaks in the ceiling. These leaks had tissue that had been stuck inside the holes and cracks. Needless to say, the tissue didn't fix the leak. I then called the front desk and spoke with ** who moved us to room #125. In this room there was a VERY heavy leak! It was located right where anyone cleaning the room could have seen. It was impossible to miss. In addition to the leak, there were bugs on the floor and walls. Hair on the beds.
Upon seeing the state of the second room, I called ** at the front desk again and asked for a refund. Surely, after staying in TWO different rooms that were absolutely filthy, I am entitled to a full refund. It is unreasonable to think that I would trust my health in the hands of an establishment that has already placed me in TWO rooms that were absolutely filthy. After she spoke with the manager **, I was informed that I could not receive a refund but they can change me to a THIRD room.
I communicated my dissatisfaction with that "solution", as well as the concern for my health. Still, I was told there is nothing else they are willing to do other than a third move. Because my baby was extremely sleepy (this was around 10PM), I was in desperate need for rest, as I am currently pregnant and the inability to book another room without the money I foolishly paid for the unsafe conditions at their location, I was forced to stay. The third room, of course, was just as filthy as the first two.
When booking a room, I expect to at the most basic level, be placed in a room that is CLEAN. In a building that is not falling apart. This is the most basic expectation any guest, of any establishment can have. However, during a global PANDEMIC, cleanliness becomes even more paramount. Now, a few days after my stay, I am not feeling good! Praying this is not COVID.
** and ** were completely unwilling to hear my concerns and treat me the way they would expect to be treated. Or even treat me the way their company claims to. Is this the "Count on Me" the company claims to have? Is this the welcome the company provides "wherever you go"? I contacted the customer service department and was given an invalid email to send pictures and videos to. I have still not heard back from them, although I was told I would hear something by last Friday.

I made a reservation directly with the hotel clerk over the phone. I asked if it was possible to check-in early. I explained that I would be in town around 5 or 6 am. and that I would be leaving around 3 or 4 am that night. I was told that I could pay an extra fee and check-in early but I needed to pay now so that he could reserve my room for early check-in. I gave him my debit card information. I arrived at about 5 am on the 20th. When I checking in I was again asked what time would I be checking out. I reiterated that it would be about 3 or 4 AM. He made me initial that I would check out by 6. I was not given a receipt just a key card.
I received a call from Priya (hotel clerk) on the hotel phone around 6 PM telling me that I was supposed to be checking out at 6. I explained that I was charged extra for early check-in and that I was had to check out by 6 AM. She said it was a misunderstanding and it was supposed to be 6 PM, not 6 AM. I told her that I would just go ahead and get out now. She said, "not to worry. I will just charge you an extra $15.00 and you can stay until 6 AM." I asked if I needed to come to the office to give her my card to take care of it and she said to take care of it when I checked out.
I checked out about 12:15 AM that night. When I asked the clerk for a receipt he said his computer was locked up and he couldn't give me a receipt. He said I was supposed to have checked out by 6 PM. I explained that this whole thing is a mess and that the lady told me that I was going to be charged $15.00 extra to check out by 6 AM. He said I would have to call back in the morning to talk to that same lady. The next morning I was charged for 2 nights. When I called to talk to Priya (the hotel clerk), I was told that he was the manager and was charging me for 2 nights. He didn't care what Priya, the hotel clerk, had told me the evening before because I was supposed to check out by 6 PM. I explained that I was charged extra from the beginning for early check-in and then I was also charged an extra $15.00 after the fact. Now I was also charged for 2 nights.
The manager that I was speaking to, to get it resolved was very rude and threatening. He told me that I had no idea who I was talking to and that I had better be careful. I explained that he had no right to charge me for 2 nights. He said that the clerk was not authorized to make the decision to charge me the extra $15.00 to let me stay. He took off the early check-in fee and the $15.00 fee the clerk charged and charged me for 2 nights and that there was nothing I could do about it.

Staff did not notify the price for Tuesday night would double!! But staff had my credit card on file so went ahead a charged it. Several calls and complaints later, and no refund. I came up to Algona Iowa to pay respects to my family members graves and needed to stay two nights since we were more than 8 hours away. I tried to work with the toilet but I could not get it to unclog; instead of offering another room he just worked with the commode himself. I brought up my laptop in hopes of locating the graves of my family but I could not get internet.
My girlfriend is a smoker so she went out back to sit where she could have a drag but when she went back there the picnic table was warped and the trash was full of beer bottles and trash everywhere. The microwave made a very loud sound the entire time it was on. The fridge still had food in it from previous people. The room phone didn't work, the bathtub ran consistently, the toilet ran and leaked the entire stay. We were told we would have to wash our own bedding and towels. We are Canadians that just came back from Florida by car and decided to stay at Super 8 in Fredericksburg because we had a coupon book that specified that their rooms were newly renovated. We rented a room after travelling by car for 15 hours. We brought our things to the room and was horrified with the conditions of the room. The bed was slanted and not comfortable, the sheets were dirty and the bathroom was really dirty. The bath tub was not cleaned at all.
We went to go eat and Dunkin doughnuts across from the hotel and after we finished eating, we went to see the man who rented us the room. We asked for our money back and he refused to give us a refund. He said that we already used the room, so no refund. We asked him to come check to show him we had not even used the room and he still said no. We argued with him that there was no way we would stay in this disgusting room and I told him that I was going to make a review of this hotel. He decided to give us half our money back.
We feel that nobody should be subject to staying at this hotel. It is not a rentable hotel whatsoever. We have pictures to prove to you the conditions. They are very misleading people by saying that their rooms are newly renovated. They have not whatsoever been renovated. If you check their reviews, you will see that we are not alone in stating that their rooms are disgusting. On our way out after we took our things and left, we found bugs in the room also.
