Hotel van driver (from CLT airport to hotel) was absolutely rude, offensive and unsafe. Driver did not offer to load my bags (2). Driver did not offer to open the automatic van door. Driver insulted me with racial verbiage that I could not find the button to electronically close the sliding passenger door while I was fastening my seatbelt. It was 5:45pm. It was dark outside. Instead the driver drove through the entire airport arrivals lane with the sliding passenger door open. I could not locate the button to actuate the sliding passenger door to close since the cabin of the van was dark. BTW: the driver has a button in his driver's position which the driver can electronically close the sliding passenger door. I finally found the button and closed the sliding passenger door myself. On the trip to the hotel the driver started speaking of racial issues and directed them toward me. I elected not to augment his offensive comments.
Hotel Staff were indifferent to me when checking in. Hotel room reeked as a stale previously smoked in room even though the room was designated as a non-smoking room. At checkout, hotel staff was indifferent to me. Hotel shuttle to CLT airport: driver was very indifferent to me. Hotel hospitality attitude is terrible! The condition and appearance of the property exterior, lobby and common areas is that of an OLD, RUN DOWN junk hotel. Large gap is visible under the door of the room I occupied. All pictures online show the hotel has a lobby with room access from the interior. Pictures are deceiving as there is a makeshift lobby and all rooms have exterior access equally very sketchy security. There was no soap, shampoo or cheap coffee maker in my hotel room. How cheap can Red Roof Inns be? This hotel is nowhere worth the $75 charge I paid for a one night stay.

We stayed at the Mountain View Red Roof in Chattanooga TN on November 1st 2024. Upon check in we were told that the nightly rate was going to be $86.00 plus tax.. When we got our statement at check out it was $160.00 plus tax. After asking the front desk clerk he said the rate was higher because there was an event in town and all of the motels were full. This was our third stay at this motel, and will be the last time. The room that we had was not as clean as it has been in the past stays. We walked over to the Cracker Barrel and stepped in all kinds of dog poop. Yes we have a dog and we do pick up after her.

Driver's name was John and he put our family in danger. Don’t stay here and don’t take the shuttle.

I just stay at the Red Roof Inn a few times over the last year and I will say I've had a good experience every time. The staff is always been helpful and amazing, they're professional and courteous. Anytime I need it anything they had it right there in the office, didn't have to wait for anything. I highly recommend this to anybody looking for an affordable hotel. I will definitely be back.

This is the absolute worst customer service I've ever had in my life and I'm 54 years old. I had to call the hotel for 4 days 18 times to try to get a reimbursement when I canceled in time for my reservation. They robbed me. Thank God my bank refunded my money but these people are thieves. They don't even have anybody behind the front desk. They are foreigners and they need to go back to their country. Don't even think about staying there. They will take your money and they will charge you fraudulently. It is the worst place I have ever stayed in my life and I have been across the world. There was one man who kept saying he would call me back in an hour. This went on for 3 days. I never not once could get a manager. They finally told me to take it up with the bank which I did. I wish I could call the police on this hotel. They are thieves

Saturday 10/5 was our stay, my daughter reserved 3 rooms. We each paid separately. First we arrived that morning was at 3pm, I went to let the front desk guy know that we will be leaving one of the cars so he won’t tow it. Entering the hotel he gave me a look like, "What do you want." Once I told him we had 3 rooms reserved his attitude changed. He became friendly and said he would try to put us together when we return. Entering my room a double, the smell of cigarette hit me so hard I had to use my inhaler, he changed the room and this one smelled of musk.
The rooms were filthy, we actually cleaned before anything. The bathroom had ** in the shower, on soap dispenser, ** on the towels, rooms were dusty, roaches crawling everywhere. I’m sure if we had food the roaches would have ran us away. Toilet was nasty which you can see before going into bathroom. Around the edge of bed hadn’t been swept which I noticed sitting in the doorway of the joining room. One of the rooms you had to slam the door for it to lock. Floors were so dirty my grandkids' socks were black within 10 minutes, dried up spills on the floor. Not the place to stay, don’t waste your time.

About your experience. I stayed this property and cleaned my own room. Never used their towels or anything. Upon check out I was told I would receive my deposit back. Now they claim they won't return my deposit over a two dollar towel that was my own that I used to clean my room. The manager is giving me the run around as well as the front office staff. They are very unprofessional. I spent over thousands dollars at this location. Mind you the room I was in smell bad. I had to scrub the dog smell out of it. And again I kept my own room clean. You can't even speak with the owner about your grievances.

The rooms were musty and mold growing on the ceiling, in the showers. I had no other choice, but to stay there for five nights. Our breakfast was pretty weak. Also, the pictures on the website looked good, but it is a whole other story when you get in the room- we left the windows open and the fan in the bathroom running all day, did not help one bit - several in our Tour group, we’re not happy- toilet did not flush hairdryer quit working. It did get fixed the next morning. I will give them that. It was the worst hotel we stayed in for the 10 nights we were gone!! Will not book a red roof again-I had another bad experience in South Texas!!!

Parsippany, NJ. location. Made a reservation over the phone for 5 nights on the first floor due to mobility issues. Got there day of check-in and was given a second floor room. First room, 218, was absolutely disgusting, with food and dental flossers and other trash under the bed. Pubic hair in the shower and a filthy toilet. Got moved to another room, 207, that was only slightly better. Toilet was disgusting, shower was dirty, no battery in the smoke alarm. Asked 4 times for housekeeping and fresh towels.
Finally they re-made the beds, using the same dirty linens, took the dirty towels and didn't leave fresh. Had to ask 3 more times for towels and was only given 2 small ones. Put in a complaint to corporate and was told this location is a franchise and I would need to deal with them directly. Their solution was to give me 30% off of one night only, for a total discount of $27. This property is disgusting and the people that run it are extremely rude and don't do anything to care for their guests. Avoid this place at all costs.

Room phone doesn't work so had to keep walking the length of 2 buildings to get to reception to get help, dd cleaned up leak from iron with towel. Only 2 towels, 2 wash cloths & 1 hand towel in room.
Reception REFUSED to replace it!!! They said at 6 pm housekeeping is locked & they can't get anything until 7:30 am. Guess I use hand towel to dry off after shower. If your child vomits on bed guess you sleep in it till housekeeping the next day! I see they have replied to the MANY MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS, but not once do I see that they offer to do anything to make it right. I’m at the Westbury Long Island location and I’ve stayed at hotels on this level as far as rank and Price, this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever, been involved with in my life. I am literally being held hostage here! What I mean by that is I booked five nights but they say I booked under some special rate that doesn’t allow me to get out of it… I’ve stayed two nights and want out, but they will not refund the last three nights?
I’m literally being held hostage here. I’ve contacted everyone in their customer service. I’ve spoken to the hotel manager, no one cares. This place is a total dump! The phone doesn’t work. They don’t even have a box of tissues in the room… The hot water wasn’t working. Bathrooms in the lobby were broken… Ice machine in the lobby broken… The towels are adequate for a small child, don’t even ask for any kind of service… And there’s no security here.

I am only putting one star because I had to if I would give it a negative five stars. I would not use Red Roof Inn. My review is on the performance and attitudes of staff. They were so rude. I was in tears twice on the phone with them because of the manner the general manager spoke and treated me over the phone. Her lack of intelligence to understand the words coming from me was astounding. I had made a tentative reservation for three weeks from the day I called. I found out my job was cancelling and I wouldn't be coming. Even tho three weeks cancelling in advance they told me I still had to pay for the room. For all six days to the tune of 600 dollars.
I told her the woman at the front desk told me I could cancel at any time and their website said that also. She tried to tell me I never called there and called the corporate line. I said I am reading the call log right now and it is the same number I am calling now and when she said, "I can't get you your money back. It's advanced pay" and I said, "I never paid anything. This was not a word your staff mentioned...advanced pay... and no money has been given." She then threatened to have the Red Roof Inn attorney call and take me to court if I didn't pay even tho that's not what I was told. Her staff told me it was being tentatively put in the system in case it was changed. I had to shut my entire bank account down out of fear they would take the money I don't have and overdrawn my account for 600 dollars that wasn't in there. I now have no way to pay my bills thru a bank until I can be sure red roof is not suing me for a mistake their staff made.
When I called the corporate number their customer service was equally bad as the Cookeville service and they Also threatened to sue me if they couldn't get the six hundred dollars for a room made tentatively. I tried to call back to tell the front desk the information I had and they told me the general manager already told them about me and they couldn't help me and hang up on me twice. Wouldn't even listen to what I had found out. If this is how you would like to be treated when renting a room then by all means go ahead and book with them. I myself will never ever ever call a Red roof inn ever ever again.

If I could give zero stars I would. Not the kind of room you want to take your shoes off in. Floor was filthy, especially in the bathroom. The bathroom smelled like sewage. Shower had hair in it. There’s no fridge even though our listing said it did. Our AC unit was so loud and shook violently to the point you couldn’t use it. Booking the room was also a nightmare. Originally we booked via Expedia for one night. We then decided to stay a second night, so we called the hotel direct to ask for the same room the second night. They told us that they couldn’t do that because the hotel was booked and the only rooms available were thru Expedia. So fine, went back to book with Expedia and they charged us more for the Sunday night than the Saturday. Whatever, it is what it is.
However, the Sunday night was empty. There were two other cars in the lot besides mine. The hotel was empty. So I asked at the front desk why this happened and she was very short and told me it’s the call centre's issue, not the hotel front desk. Fine, I call the call centre for answers, again very unhelpful aside from saying the hotel wasn’t booked and I should’ve been charged $91, not $158 but no explanation as to why. Not a great experience and definitely won’t be staying at any Red Roofs or booking thru Expedia again. Red Roof Inn Westlake, OH

I spoke first with the front desk, I then spoke with the shift manager who was rude to me and told me they would not be refunding my money or canceling my reservation.
no point did anyone say, "I'm so sorry, I wish there was something I could do" or "I understand this is frustrating but....". He was just flat out rude. He then said he wasn't authorized to give a refund so I asked him who was and he said the manager. We were on a very long road trip. We're very tired so we decided to stop and get a room. So we stopped at the Red Roof Inn in Dunn. When I first went in there's another lady being helped at the desk. When they were done I heard the desk Clerk tell the lady it was $69. Then when I got done with the desk clerk she told me $89. She also said we were lucky that was the last room she had. So I'm thinking to myself why is it $20 more. I didn't say nothing coz that's who I am. We go up to our room and it was very muggy out decided to turn on the air. The unit did not work. It wouldn't even turn on. And there was no way we were going to stay in that room with it that hot. I would rather go back outside to sleep in my car. So I went down to the Clerk, told her the unit didn't work. She said, "Let me see what I can do." so she went on the computer and then she looked up and said, "Oh this is your lucky day we do have another room."
So she sent us to another room this from the unit worked but we couldn't open the door to get in to the room. I had to body slam it in order to open the door. Now we had to slam the door to shut it. Going to the room the aisleways were full of old mattresses in box springs that we had to walk around. We were so tired we didn't look at anything else but we were very, very disappointed and thought that was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Room 251. Let's get straight to the point. Don't stay here. Ever. We lost power recently, and had to find a hotel. We chose Red Roof Inn, because it's close by. Being last minute, they had one room left. It's after dark, below freezing and we had our cat, so we took it. The front desk person was very friendly, but reiterated at least twice, that this was the last room. Sightly suspicious, now, but okay.
Using the bathroom, I don't know why I was surprised that there was no toilet paper.
The fridge didn't work, and actually started to overheat, so we ended up putting our drinks outside the door. The heater had 2 settings. Luke warm and Hellfire. Getting warm, or staying warm, was a choice. Not to mention, the rattle. Finally, the 2 chairs were wobbly, the curtain was broken, and floor was filthy. We seriously considered sleeping in the car. We ended up needing a second night, plus a room for my mom, but not here. We packed and left. Oddly, I tried to check out online, but they couldn't find me, so I have questions...
The morning desk person was very friendly, which by now, was off-putting. Walking out, I had the feeling I was leaving The Twilight Zone. There are plenty of hotels /motels around this area, but don't go here. Honestly, I'm surprised this place is still open. Maybe consider new management, or making better choices for your patron's safety and comfort.

Customer Service is the foundation of the hospitality industry. Red Roof Inn in Durham completely missed the mark. Deplorable conditions, public health issues, and lack of concern. Upon check in found dirty towels in room. Asked to come down to office n get them. Ok I understand the hotel industry is short of staff. Notice old cereal and trash in cabinet next to fridge, mold around tub, lamp shade badly stained and holes, rip in floor, requested room cleaned early in day. Of course not done. I was told only for every 3 days or checked out room. There was no notice regarding this which is why I personally requested as is the norm in other hotels, reluctantly housekeeping did come. And it gets worst.
Turn on water in sink. It came out brown and smelled awful. I got immediately sick to my stomach as I had brushed my teeth with contaminated water, same for shower. Had to buy water and go to friend's house to bathe as both me and my have health issues, ran water off and on for several hours it still was horrible. The Final straw - a roach was crawling up wall.
Because of college homecoming we were trapped. Hotels in area were booked. Of course no response or return call from front desk. Said no manager available for 3 days. Talk to customer relations. Waiting for form to file a formal complaint. I asked for a refund for 2 nights, was offered 10% refund which I declined but the manager credited to card anyway. Consumers have to stop accepting inferior service and PAYING for it. I will be following up with management. But DON'T BE FOOLED like me and believe they want customers to be 100% satisfied. They should be paid the 10% they tried to force me to take.

We checked into the one by Raleigh Durham airport in North Carolina on 10/20/23. We walked in the room to see a giant bug sitting on the white sheet of the bed. Within 15 minutes we saw multiple roaches all over the room including the bathroom. The bathroom literally had a puddle of dried urine and urine splatter covering the entire bathroom floor. We grabbed our things and told the office we wanted a refund and that we were checking out because the room was disgusting and full of roaches and the girl was not one bit surprised. Absolutely disgusting place.

I've enjoyed other stays at Red Roof Inns before; it's an economy accommodation, my needs are simple---clean room with fresh linens, as needed. We stayed from Thursday PM, for a long weekend on the Wine Trail, departing Monday morn. We had to ask for fresh towels Friday, room was NOT serviced at all. Again had to ask for fresh linens on Sunday, when management said we were scheduled for "full service". That was the 1st time we saw the bed even made up since Thursday! The minimal "coffee service" was not refreshed each day, and we had to go to the office for cups, coffee, and cream/sugar, etc. even then!
The worst criticism I can provide is that Room 113, and I'm sure every room there --needs regular exterminating service!! Each night I saw small roaches crawling to the light in the bathroom, which we left on at night. On our last morning I killed an enormous spider in the bathroom with relish! We would never book a room at this Red Roof again! It should be closed by the Health Department.

We arrived on 8/5. We went to the room we were given and found the maintenance man hanging out, smoking and getting ready to eat his breakfast. Apparently he had been staying there for a while as the room was totally disgusting, with trash in the floor, used bandages in the bed, etc. I immediately went back to the front desk and demanded another room. Which we were given and I was told at that time by the front desk clerk I would be refunded for the first night due to the conditions we found in the first room.
Once in the new room, we took our Clorox wipes and cleaned the room so we could stay there. At least no one was living in this room. Shortly after that point I received an email from your staff advising my refund was in process and could be 10-14 business days to post from Danielle- a manager from what was on the email. After checking it appears that Danielle lied to me as no refund had been attempted. The General Manager Casey ** is a liar too as she told the corporate office she had spoken to me and handled the situation, which she did nothing, but what do you expect from a person who would allow the staff to use the rooms as their hangout. We stayed at this Red Roof Inn: 1516 McCullough Blvd, Tupelo MS. What the business committed to provide me - One night rental on June 24, 2023. The nature of this dispute is - Extremely rude Office Manager named Olga. The owner of this franchise did not try to resolve this dispute - I asked the rude office manager Olga to call her boss and he was of no assistance at all. I made the reservation for June 24, 2023 online and the website asked me if I wanted to pay online and I said yes. The website asked me for all of my credit card information so I thought I had paid for my room online. I printed what I thought was my receipt and when my husband went to check in, Olga told him that we had not paid for the room.
Olga and I exchanged words. I detected an accent so I asked Olga where she was from and she called me a RACIST. I was shocked that she said that because I have traveled all over the world in the military and met a lot of foreign people and loved all my interactions with them. Olga also told me that if I didn't like the way she ran the hotel, I could go somewhere else and stay.
My husband and I have been coming to this same Red Roof Inn for many years and I will have to say that I have never experienced the rudeness from anyone that works at the front desk at this red roof or any other red roof inn, let alone the manager. Olga will always be pernicious to your business. She is the rudest person that I have ever met in all my 65 years of life. This review pertains to the Red Roof Inn by the Albany Airport. After checking in, I made my way to my room and began to unpack my belongings. I placed my bag full of food that I bought on the table beside the guest bed. The second I do, the damn shelf breaks, dropping my bag of food on the floor. I try to use the phone to call, but the phone isn’t working. So, I went to the front clerk “Stephan” to explain what had happened. I asked if I was going to be charged for the damages. In a highly patronizing tone (laced with a nasty attitude mind you) “Stephan” then says “did I say that you were going to?”
I open my mouth to respond that I never implied that he did, but before I could say anything at all "Stephan" cuts me off, then proceeds to tell me that I need to “calm down”, waving his hand at me in a motion meaning "pipe down" and speaking to me in a harsh patronizing tone like one would talk to a child who did something they didn't like. His facial expression looked like he was very irritated with me, and his eyes were narrowed. Mind you I never raised my voice, I never called him out his name. I hadn’t even said anything else after I asked if I was going to be charged because he cut me off before I could start my sentence. Yet "Stephan" tells me, a woman of color, that I need to “calm down" as if I were unreasonably angry. Stereotyping much? Mind you "Stephan" is a minority himself.
People think that just because someone is an ethnic minority that they cannot be prejudiced towards other minorities. This is incredibly flawed thinking, especially if one ethnic group is perceived negatively by another based on characteristics out of their control (skin color, eye shape, hair texture, etc.). I stood there dumbfounded and when I tried to explain myself again, two other ladies walked in. "Stephan" merely walked away from where I stood to move onto the two other ladies at the door, one who had a broken AC and another who had a hot water issue.
Funnily enough, he did not tell either of those women to “calm down” when they very outwardly voiced their discontent. He didn’t cut them off and allowed them to voice their concerns. As a matter of fact, “Stephan” even told one of the woman in particular that he would get her matter resolved promptly. I must make mention that both women were of a lighter hue and visibly non-POC.
After both women left, I asked for his name, and he told me it was “Stephan”. I could not verify that he was telling me the truth because he has no name tag on him. I asked for the manager’s name and he walked away from me again, ignoring me. By that point I had already made a mental note to report his rude behavior the first chance I got. After a good ten minutes of trying to ignore me, he finally follows me to the room in question. Another repairman is called in to fix the shelf. I ask him if the young gentleman who came with him was named "Stephan", and he answers yes his name is indeed "Stephan." I then try to explain the situation to the repairman but it falls on deaf ears.
“Stephan” then re-enters the hotel room and tells me very patronizingly yet again, in that same tone like one would use to talk to a child, to not “put heavy stuff on the dresser.” Mind you, the bag was not “heavy” at all and the shelf was likely already weak. He then brings in a new phone to replace the old one that wasn't working and the pair leave.
As I continue to examine the room, I notice other things of alarm. There is a ring of dirt in the bathtub. The thermometer does not work and I am sitting here in the freezing cold. I do not bother trying to speak to the front desk clerk because it is obvious "Stephan" does not want to treat certain paying customers with a level of attentiveness and respect that other paying customers receive (and barely at that). I try to wrap myself in more blankets, only to notice there are yellow stains in my sheets. I am concerned that it may be urine that was not properly washed out. At this point I am fed up and am completely done with this terrible hotel and their terrible service.
The next morning, I check out the hotel at 12:00 PM on the dot—-not a minute later nor a minute earlier, lest the staff be petty and try to charge any "early discharge" or "late discharge" fees if I checked out at 11:59 or 12:01. Luckily "Stephan" is not there at the front desk, but instead another woman with blue curly hair, who was arguing with another guest before me, causing him to storm out the hotel lobby.
She checks me out and returns my $100 cash deposit, consisting of two $50 bills, that I paid with. After I check out, I ask if anybody by the name of "Stephan" works at this hotel. She answers there is nobody that works there by that name. So "Stephan" gave me a fake name because he likely knew I would be reporting him. There was no manager available that I could speak with either. The blue-haired lady doesn't give me her name either, and she has no name tag. I walk out vowing to never return, and I call corporate the first chance I get. After days of radio silence, Christopher **, the Guest Relations Manager, basically says there is nothing they can do, and that they cannot coach their employees to not lie to customers about their names, and that they cannot coach their employees to treat their patrons fair and equitably, as any reasonable business is expected to.
So if you are planning on lodging here, don’t. You will be talked to as if you are a fussy child and treated as if you are hostile, even if you are completely calm and speaking rationally. Also note that you will be gaslit, lied to, ignored and stereotyped if you are a woman of color, in spite of the anti-discrimination policies the business must adhere to by law. They certainly aren’t being enforced here. I will never give these people another dime, they don't deserve to be rewarded for treating paying customers like this.

We booked 3 rooms 4 people per room and applied that onto our reservation but yet the rooms only had 2 towels in it. The beds also had yellow stains on all of them. Why have white blankets if you can't keep it looking clean? Granted we usually always wipe things down with Lysol/Clorox wipes at any place we stay but we really cleaned these rooms the moment we got in.
The beds are bouncy and not comfortable. The pillows aren't great either. Your neck hurts the next day. The chair in the room is random also and was ripped at the bottom. Don't expect the hotel to watch out for your safety. I had been staying at Red Roof Plus in Palm Coast since last summer. This hotel has made a good bit of money off my stay. My room was always keep clean by me and housekeeping did not have to spend hours in there cleaning after my being there 29 days. They have a policy that you can always stay 29 days in a row and have to move out for 24 hours so you don't become a resident.
Befriend a guest there who was a resident. Even lent them money to pay their room a couple times and gave them extra as a Christmas present. When I could not do it anymore the guest then started to bad mouth me and be rude. Recently it was brought to my attention that him and his wife were spreading rumors about me. Telling people around the local gas station that I was a prostitute and drug dealer working at a CVS which is across the street from the hotel and that they caught me having relations with somebody in a car there.
Also told people that I had men coming in and out of my room which is false. I could ask to have the cameras pulled and it would prove that there's only been four people in and out of my room. One was the man I moved in there with a friend of mine and the two people that help me move out of there. I can confronted this person in the lounge which there is cameras and explain to him that what he was doing in the state of Florida! is a criminal charge. He then proceeded to tell me that I was a liar but I was being investigated that I never lent him the money. I would have to prove I put it in the palm of his hand which I did on camera when I lent the money. There's cameras all over this building.
Then he proceeded to tell me when I was coming and going from that hotel when I was coming and going to the pharmacy when I was going to the gas station. The man is on the other side of the hotel so if you are knowing that much about my life you are stalking.. I'm an insurance appraiser. I work from my room. People upload pictures to the site of their insurance company and the insurance company sends the pictures to me. I write the estimate and send them back to the insurance company. I'm an independent contractor. I work for five different companies writing their estimates.
When I was walking back from the gas station one night I actually had a man I stopped me and asked me how much I cost. That next day I went to the hotel manager and explain to her what was going on and that I wanted to talk to her boss and she said she would bring it up to her the next day which was yesterday. That morning I asked to speak to her boss I was told she was very busy. I waited a couple hours, went back and was told she was busy again. I explained to her that I talked to an attorney. My attorney was going to go down and file a civil suit against them and I was going to go to the sheriff's department and press criminal charges for defamation of characters, stalking, harassment, libel and slander.
I was then told by this manager that if I was to cause problems for this hotel that I would probably be DNR which it means that I would not be allowed to come back. I explained to her that I'm not causing problems for the hotel. I'm worried about my safety and that I don't think another guy should get away with this if he's telling people that there's men in and out of my room and people are asking me how much I cost. They know where I live. That is a safety issue. Needless to say her boss never came to speak to me and to the point where I just gave up and said I wasn't going to deal with it and that I would let the attorney handle it. I moved out today.
Two two men that help me move that I know who happened to be homeless very clean cut you would never know they were homeless unless you know them I put money on a prepaid card for them to get a room there because you did not have to pay a deposit on a room at Red Roof. They were told they could not stay there because of me. Now the only reason the manager knew that I knew them was because I told her when they helped me move back in on the 27th that I had had my ex put money on a prepaid card for them so that I could give the prepaid card to them so they could rent a room the night that they moved me out the first time after the 29 days.
They didn't cause any problems. They didn't destroy the room. The only reason they turned away was because they knew me and because I fought for my rights right of being safe. As a woman walking back from a gas station at night and having somebody come up and ask you how much you cost because somebody is spreading rumors about you makes you wonder how much he's told people and for the hotel not to want to help or even acknowledge that there's a safety issue and then put the blame on me is completely absurd. So please if you stay there don't lend anybody money. Be careful who you befriend and also don't expect the staff to watch out for your safety. Good luck. The only I would give this hotel any stars is because of Tammy, Charles, and the whole housekeeping staff. Those people are wonderful.

I have sent several emails (4-5) to Red Roof Customer Service and all they have offered is a certificate for a free night stay. Would want to stay at that Red Roof Inn---NOT ME!

Room phone was broke. TV did not work and the worst part was roaches. That is unacceptable and should definitely be giving a full refund for.

So I got evicted after Covid hit & didn’t have money for move-in cost for a different house so I ended up at the Red Roof Inn on Dequindre Road in Warren Michigan! I was stuck there for 7 months! I’ve seen dead birds laying on the grass while walking my dogs & also seen a used condom laying outside of a door to a room! When informing the workers these health dangers were left. Had I known I would have 2 fraudulent charges on my disability pay card I would have photographed these disgusting things laying about!
I did Not authorize any scheduling of any payments which the manager Jimmy guy did so! 1 charge was for $1,379 & the 2nd was $957. So this Jimmy guy refunded me my $1,379 but basically told me to go to hell when I went there to ask him when I’d get the $957. How can big companies do this to an elderly single grama who is broke & try to get away with it? I called the law firm of Mike Morse & was directed to the Michigan State Bar due to time sensitive of being federal fraud from my disability! Just please people watch your money very carefully if you stay at this red roof inn, I wouldn’t want this to happen to anybody else.

Room was disgusting. I was with my small children and I had to lay down my personal clothes so my kids didn’t touch the stained sheets and duvet. The staff was lovely and the restaurant was good, but the room smelled of bleach mixed with pee and throwup. The room overall was disgusting, and I would absolutely never stay there again. I wouldn’t even shower there, or use anything in the room. The location is good but they charged for parking even though on the website it said it was free. The guy at the front advised he gave us a better room and it was horrible. Priceline advertised the room as 3 star but when I called the hotel (after hours and hours of them not answering) they confirmed it was actually a 2 star.

We booked this room looking for comfort and knowing there would be something to drink and snack on before going straight to sleep after a long 10 hour drive would be perfect. Was totally disappointed. And we get charged a deposit for any damages or smell of smoke. Tell me. Do these room not get inspected. Do they not care enough that this is a brand? Do they not care enough about making sure what a customer is promised is what a customer should get. The fact we paid to have the “Premium Room” and it was the worst we have ever stayed in. I stayed at HomeTowne Studios in Kent/ Demoines, Wa that was booked through Priceline and I'm here to say it was the filthiest hotel I've ever experienced. Any good reviews about this property are fake. Not only did I personally have to clean the room I booked, but the office staff were rude and indifferent about that, like it was my fault I booked there. No fresh towels or maid service whatsoever. I want a refund, but I know that's not going to happen. I just pray that I get my $100 dollar deposit back. I stayed at this property from 7/13 to 7/20, 2022. I will never stay at a Red Roof property ever again and I'm tempted to file a complaint with the Washington State Department of Health. Of course, the BBB will also be contacted along with the ACLU. This property should be closed down until it can come back up to livable standards. Also, there is a huge rat problem all over the property.

We stayed at the Rockford, Illinois, Casino District Red Roof Inn on June 4, 2022. Upon arrival we unloaded our things into the room and went for dinner. When we came back we noticed a cigarette was stuck in the peep hole (which is something crack heads do) and there were ants everywhere--on the counter, the tub, the toilet, the towels, on the floor and some crawled into the carpet under the bed. The front desk was contacted and the girl came to our room. She offered to relocate us. She also said upon arrival that this was the last room on ground level. We had been on the road for 10 hrs that day, we were tired, we are 70 yrs of age and both are cancer patients. We didn't want the hassle of moving and climbing stairs. Then during the night there was this head-banging thumping music and extremely LOUD voices from down the way that woke us up! And we had yet another 10 hrs drive to our destination.
I contacted 'Guest Relations' and the management of the Red Roof Inn to express our complete displeasure staying there and requested a refund. We were totally denied but offered a 50% discount on a future stay. What does that have to do with compensating us for what we already experienced?! All that does is guarantee them another booking and additional income!! I worked in Executive Housekeeping and I KNOW what a hotel should do to keep their guests happy and a return customer. The manager of this dump said he couldn't do anything more so I told him THAT tells me upper management doesn't care either. And that I was DONE staying at any RRI. The previous time we stayed at this location a sock was left behind by housekeeping. This location is turning into a crack infested drug hangout. They can cater to the likes of that clientele.

Some of the outlets did not work, the coffee maker did not work, the channels barely worked due to “weak signal”. I had a 2 king sized bedroom and there was a drawer in between the beds, I opened it to find about 4-5 cock roaches running around. The sheets were a little dirty also. When my father told them how many of us were there (4), the guy went outside and walked up to our car and looked through both windows which made us feel uncomfortable. The soap at the sink was very dirty and there was no shampoo or conditioner. The Tv was at a really bad angle and could not be turned either. The humidity in the room caused every surface to feel slimy, the sheets, pillow, and bed were damp. The light in the bathroom did not work. Metal lamp bases had rust all over them. German roaches crawled on the ceilings and wall. Spiders were frequently found also. Mold on the ceiling was painted over. This review is for the Red Roof Inn in Bowling Green Kentucky. (Had 2 rooms) First off they want a $250 deposit per room, yes $500 for two rooms!! And these double bed rooms are tiny! Extremely small. It was absolutely one of the most disgusting hotels I have stayed in in all my life. We literally had to clean our own toilets that had urine and pubic hair on the toilet seats.
The comforters look like they had been there for years, dirty, cigarette burn holes. And this was in a supposedly NONSMOKING room. There were cobwebs, dirt and dead bugs in every corner. The shower curtains look like they have never been cleaned or changed out since opening, completely stained brown with the bottoms unraveled and tattered. Mold and filth was coming out of the cracks of the bathtub and the sink where you brush your teeth. The "clean" towels all felt sticky to the touch. The smell of the rooms were horrendous upon arrival and still only faded away moderately when leaving 2 Days Later. The refrigerators and the microwaves were both ancient as well and dirty. There was literally rust and pieces missing inside of the refrigerator with one room's refrigerator not working at all.
We thought that the black from the bottom of our shoes was from walking around outside but with taking our shoes off at the door upon entering and walking around the room in only our socks we came to realize that the filth was actually coming from the floor of our rooms. We had to change our socks at least six times while staying there, each time our socks blackened to the point to where bleach did not fix them. The TV was horrible with only some channels barely visible, the remote to the TV in one room didn't work at all and the Wifi didn't work. There were no "do not disturb" signs on the doors and we got woke up to someone trying to open our doors twice in the morning from 8 to 9 a.m.
If you're looking for sleep this is not the place to go, beds are hard, air conditioners are faulty, smelly and loud. People are up at all hours of the night banging on the walls and stomping on the floor. One man literally stopped me and asked me if I could get him some drugs when we first got there. Lol. I made the reservation weeks in advance but when I got there they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about! I had to wait an extra 30 mins until they could find me two rooms next to each other, which was one of the things the reservation was made for! There was one certain accommodation that I asked for that they said that they would have on the Red Roof reservation line and at the hotel itself when I called prior to going. When I ended up there they act like they had no idea about anything I was talking about. The man up front was barely able to speak English enough to be able to communicate with me.
I've contacted and spoke with Red Roof customer service and said they would have someone contact me and to refund at least half of my money. Then the woman who ran the actual Hotel emailed me twice saying she was sorry about my "experience" and that was it. And now Red roof says since there are millions of people who call in with complaints that they can't possibly please everyone and this is just one of those instances where they can't do anything. In my opinion these places should be shut down because they are by far one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The pictures of the rooms online are like their absolute best of the best that must exist somewhere in California or something I don't know!! I have stayed in rundown motels in small towns better than this!
We're just hoping that our family didn't catch anything from there. I will never stay anywhere that nasty again. I will never go back Red Roof Inn for the rest of my life! Please do yourself a favor and spend a little extra and get you a room somewhere else!! You won't regret it! Absolute disappointment and a complete waste of money!!!

The keys keep unregistering so I had to go to the office multiple times in order to get them reprogrammed and the 6th or 7th day which I had been on paying for alone I had this problem with the keys once again and went down to the office like I had time and time again prior but this day I had seen a lady there whom I had not dealt with before. I did an online reservation for a friend. I was using my debit card to pay for the room. When entering the guest info I put the friends name as the guest. The site said the guest name had been updated. I had made the reservation around 6pm. By 8:30pm a woman from Red Roof in Dover had called me asking if I was still planning on staying. I explained that the reservation was supposed to be in my friends name not mine and that yes they were still coming, she was abrupt and rude during this conversation. In order to save myself from having to speak with them again I immediately went back to verify the guest name. Sure enough she was right and I once again changed the guest name to the correct person.
Once again the site showed the guest was updated. About 30 min later my friend called me and said she could not check in. I called the Red Roof in Dover and once again spoke to the same rude woman. I was still calm at the point and had not said anything to trigger her attitude. As soon as I explained I had changed it twice on the site she immediately told me she didn't need my attitude, WHAT?? She proceeded to tell me she would not give the room to the friend, even though I had done the pay now- non refundable room I in face didn't pay for the room yet.
When I asked why she hung up on me. I waited a few min and called back, all this while my friend is still in their lobby waiting to check in. She once again answered the phone, when I gave my name and said I believe we got disconnected or she hung up on me, which was the actual case, she abruptly said, "I TOLD YOU TO HOLD!," which she didn't. Once again she had a terrible attitude and was rude. I asked what I needed to do to get the room taken care of, she never did give me an answer, she just continued to raise her voice.
When I asked if they wanted my business she said nothing and that was the end of the conversation. I then got up with Booking.com where I made the reservation and was told they would cancel the reservation. 2 hours later around 11:45 pm I got another call from Red Roof in Dover, this time it was a gentleman asking if I was still coming. I explained the rude woman, the situation and that the reservation had been canceled. Like the woman earlier his reply was "well on my screen it doesn't say that". He then said do you want the reservation or not. With attitudes like these I dont recommend staying here. I've stayed at many hotels and even though I didn't stay here and my friend didn't either this place doesn't deserve anyone's business. D

I knew I had seen a puffer at one of the side doors as one often does at many of the non-smoking hotels, but that certainly shouldn't have been coming into my room. The smell continued to intensify to the point I was ready to head to the ER for a breathing treatment and steroids. It was coming from my bathroom, which to the best of my knowledge had no access to the outside.
I called the desk clerk and she told me she would check it out and get back to me. Never heard back from her. I finally gave up, pulled the bathroom door to which contained much of it for the night. It was quite evident there were several people at the hotel smoking in their rooms because one could smell it up and down the indoor corridor.
The following morning I woke up having a lot of shortness of breath due to the smoke. I asked to be switched to another room since I couldn't tolerate the smoke. Everything was good in that room until I walked in from classes and found my room again layered in cigarette smoke. I again called the desk and explained my room, but mainly the bathroom, reeked of cigarette smoke. The desk clerk checked to see if anyone around me was smoking, and again moved me to a different room.
While the desk clerks have been accommodating, the multiple moves during a week span of time has been absolutely ridiculous since I travel with a pet and food items to keep from eating out so much. There is no elevator in the building, so the moves to opposite ends of the building and up and downstairs was very taxing with a very compromised respiratory status by this point.
The hotel is older with some renovations to the rooms that make it decent on the surface. The bigger problem I had was them allowing smoking in the rooms in what is supposed to be a 100% percent smoke-free hotel. They allow them to smoke on the balconies as well, which is quite the nuisance if you are someone who sensitive to the smoke.
I have stayed at other RRIs in my travels and have never experienced this sort of nonsense. It has completed jaded my views of staying at at of their hotels in the future. I am just hopeful I can get through this week and get home so I don't end up hospitalized on a breathing tube. To those of you disrespectful puffers out there, it is obvious you don't feel the rules apply to you. You want to stay in smoke-free rooms because you don't like the stench you leave with your cigarettes either. But, unfortunately your nasty habits do cause harm to those of us with respiratory issues. It's apparent you don't care anything about your own health, but please be a bit more mindful of your fellow man in public places.

We had a bowling tournament in Elyeria OH on the 28 and 29th of February 2020. The ladies at the desk were nice but we got to the room and the floor was dirty and sticky. The mini fridge had goop in the bottom of it. The towel rack was missing the bar and they put the towels on the back of the toilet. There was dirt and hair balls in the corner of the bathroom. Our bowling league from Lancaster stays in area often and we will not be doing it again. They lost a chunk of business.

After reading the reviews from other hotel guests, Red Roof Inn needs to vastly improve customer service or they are going to lose their hotel business. What kind of business falsely accuses customers of something they didn't do? The customer is always right? Run!!!! Do not walk away from this hotel!!! Red Roof Inn in Gallup New Mexico charged us a smoking fee for staying in a room that already had an odor when we got there. They were very nice and gave us a room on the ground floor that we did not request and so we decided not to complain about the odor. We just wanted to get some sleep and a shower.
We have stayed in this hotel before and in the exact same room and never had a problem. We have always requested a non-smoking room because we DO NOT smoke and they accused us of smoking in the room!!!! Why would you request a non-smoking room to turn around and smoke in the room? But they only charged us 1/2 of the smoking fee! Imagine that. When I called to complain, Karen, the manager, said there was nothing that she could do because the head housekeeper said it smelled like smoke!!!! What a good way to collect an extra $100 from non-smoking people! We smell a scam!! Don't stay in room 128. It smells like smoke and they will accuse you of smoking!!! This is the last time we will ever stay in a Red Roof Inn. Mexico.
Update; Patrica **, The General manager of the Red Roof Inn has extended her apologies and assures us that corrective measures are being taken so this will not happen to any other travelers in the future! No refund has been issued nor has Karen, the manager of the Gallup Red Roof Inn apologized for falsely accusing us of something we did not do. Yes, the room had an odor and maybe it was smoke from the last people or the house cleaner. However, We DO NOT SMOKE.!
What measures can you take to ensure that your employees will not falsely accuse people of smoking when they request a non-smoking room? Are we supposed to feel grateful for only being charged 1/2 the penalty? We smell a scam! This is Not an acceptable resolution to our issue. They do not value us as customers or any of the other guests that had complained about services. We will be traveling next week and WILL NOT use Red Roof Inns for our rooms. They have lost our business and business from all of our family and friends. So sad you have lost a valued loyal customer.

I have made a police report and called RRI corporate who told me "too bad, not our problem". I disagree. RRI refuses to take responsibility and still employs said clerks, even after I reported being robbed by TANYA ** and SHANNON **, clerks at motel.
Being terminally ill and a disabled senior citizen, recently widowed, and a Veteran of the USMC, I need to warn others to not stay at this motel as RRI continues to employ these people even after I reported the theft. They offered me another room but declined. (If there are some, there are more.) Asked for a refund to my account. It took 3 days to get the charge credited back to my account. Had to contact my bank and file a claim. Call RR customer service and I was told that my bank needed to call and verify the information for the refund.

Hair left in the bathtub, etc. but the worst part, I had placed my phone in the drawer near the bed at night and woke up the next morning, went to grab it and found a drawer full of USED NEEDLES!!! 2.) I booked through Hotels.com and they were extremely helpful and considerate throughout this whole ordeal. When booking, I selected the option to pay at the hotel. The reservation gets held on a card but no charges go through until you check in. Makes sense.
3.) My fiance and I got to the hotel around 5pm, and we were greeted at the front desk by Man #1. Man #1 couldn't find my reservation, I thought it was weird, but oh well things happen. Man #1 spoke across the room to a young girl (maybe 18 years old) and Man #2 in a different language. The young girl came over to help us, but before she could get any information that could help, Man #2 cut her off and started harassing me and my fiance. He kept insisting that 'Expedia' (even though we kept saying Hotels.com (but whatever)) cancelled the reservation because the card declined. Now this is sketchy because nothing should have been charged at this point for the card to decline. We questioned why we were not contacted about the reservation being cancelled. They read the phone number they had, it was wrong - the number on my Hotels.com reservation was correct. I asked why I wasn't emailed, from them or hotels.com and they had no response. The entire time we are figuring this out, Man #2 keeps cutting off my fiance and I's sentences, talking over us, and being generally rude and harassing us for not knowing what is going on. There was something going on between the men and the girl that made it seem like they knew what was going to happen before we even walked in the door. They ended up honoring the rate that hotels.com gave us, but they made no promises that we wouldn't be charged twice since the booking was "cancelled."
4.) This hotel is rated as a 3-star, and I've stayed at other Red Roof Inns in the past that are 3-star. When we got to the room, we quickly realized that this was nothing more than a 1-star quality room. The floor. air conditioner, blankets, and bathroom were dirty. The sheets looked okay.
5.) I immediately when online to contact hotels.com to make sure I wouldn't get double charged. They assured me that I wouldn't be and even gave me $25 off my next booking because I was harassed. My fiance called Red Roof corporate and filed a complaint. Unfortunately, this location is a privately owned franchise and corporate cannot do anything about the incident. My fiance has decided to contact the locations general manager to file a complaint.

We booked this motel to be nearest the Allentown County Fairgrounds for one night. When we saw the place from the highway, I wanted to drive on by…but one of my family members was already there and checked-in for the night. Despite the unkempt outer appearance and the "adult toy store" next door, I was hopeful when I saw the Girl Scout building across the street. The check-in was not very pleasant and we felt uncomfortable giving our credit card. For that reason, we paid cash. Unbelievably, the clerk required $50 deposit BECAUSE we paid cash (what?! ), and insisted that my husband's driver's license had to be copied as well. We will be watching for anything out of the ordinary as a result, but we were unfortunately out of options at this point.
During the night, it was a little noisy with folks being on the second floor and we on the first, but that's to be expected. The gentleman cleaning the halls in the morning was as nice as could be, and despite the dilapidated appearance of the hallway, the rooms were updated, comfortable, very clean, NO signs of critters of any sort, and we slept very well. I was impressed. We give four stars because the clerk could be more friendly… It IS a business and those first impressions are lasting!

There was a live crawling cockroach in the bathroom, as well as what appeared to be spots of blood on the floor around the toilet. There was another live crawling cockroach beside the bed.
There were no blankets, only a sheet and what was probably supposed to be a bedspread but was no thicker than the sheet. The door had obviously been kicked in at an earlier date and simply painted over and new screws placed not fixed properly or a new door placed. I paid $89.99 + $10.80 tax for this room and when I asked for a different room I was told there weren't any other rooms available. I asked for a wake up call and did not receive that either. This was a completely disgusting place!!! Don't waste your money, you will be sorely disappointed!!!

Red Roof Inn Des Moines can and will cancel your room before their posted check in time then turn around and tell you it was your fault. I booked a room with this hotel thru Hotels.com on 11/2/18 for a stay on 8/10/19 because I knew this was one of the busiest days of the year in Des Moines and hotels would be selling out fast and raising rates as the date got closer. We arrived at 1:50pm on 8/10/19 to check in, only to find they didn't have our name or conf#. Front desk guy said it was a 3rd party issue and I needed to contact hotels.com. So I did. Hotels.com still had my valid, confirmed reservation in their system so they called the hotel.
Same check-in guy who told me "I wasn't in their system/it was a 3rd party issue" now remembers me and tells Hotels.com he tried to authorize my credit card on file at 10:00am. It came back declined (this was a lie, I checked with my bank and no attempts of any kind had been made to my card). He called my cell phone once. I didn't answer (I was on a ride at the time, they didn’t leave a message or try calling again), so he cancelled my room at 10:01am to sell to someone else who called in that day.
While we were there trying to get this straightened out we SAW this happen to 2 other couples. Both booked with Priceline, had confirmation numbers but this money grabbing person cancelled all our 3rd party reservations and sold our rooms to people who called in that day (to make more money I’m sure). I booked this refundable room 9 months in advance because I knew every hotel room for 20 miles would be sold out and this loathsome human being cancelled my reservation in 1 min, the day of my stay, because I didn't pay for the room in advance.
It took us 3 hrs but we finally found a very NICE hotel somewhere else who just had a legit cancellation right before we walked in. This hotel had free shuttles, an evening reception with free drinks/snacks, fantastic free hot breakfast buffet and wonderful employees who could, oddly enough, use our declined card. Hmmm. We did have to pay 3.5x the price of our Red Roof Inn reservation but we had a place to stay and didn't have to worry about bed bugs, being broken into or getting kicked out for no reason because it was really, really nice. Until then we were seriously considering sleeping in our car. I'm sure this guy could care less. He made a few extra bucks and will probably be doing this everyday until the fair is over.
So please, do yourself a favor and don’t book with Red Roof Inn thru Hotels.com or Priceline or any other “3rd party”. If you do, at least answer or call back unknown calls on your cell phone the day of your hotel stay. Maybe other people knew a hotel could do this but I did not. I've stayed at many different hotels and have never seen this happen.
Also, don't bother filing a complaint with Corporate thru "Contact Us" at Redroof.com. It appears your concern is very important to them and they will handle it immediately but they never see your complaint. It's a 3rd party vendor reading your emails and all they do is forward your email TO THE HOTEL YOU JUST FILED A COMPLAINT AGAINST! I didn't realize this until reading the reviews on Consumeraffairs.com.
Someone else who was screwed by Red Roof Inn Des Moines for a different reason (had to pay extra to stay on the ground floor, they made her cancel her already paid for reservation to book the higher priced room then never refunded her the original "2nd floor room price", which is why I pay at hotel and never ahead) received the same exact email I did from the same Franchise Operations Director (Thomas **):
"Thank you for your additional comments regarding the RRI962 - Red Roof Inn Des Moines. We are disappointed that the handling of your situation has not been to your satisfaction. This is regarding a booking for a night at HomeTowne Suites by Red Roof in Aurora, CO, 3705 Chambers Rd, Aurora, CO 80011. My experience with the HomeTowne Suites by Red Roof in Aurora was only positive in that I could make a reservation online. Everything else was a nightmare. The service at the hotel, the accommodations, and the customer service in trying to resolve my stay were all so poorly handled without any care for the customer.
I made a reservation at this hotel in February, for a one night stay in July. We arrived at our hotel at midnight as our flight got in late and when we got there, the phone to call the front desk (lobby was locked after 11pm) was broken and hanging off the receiver. We knocked for about a minute and someone was inside to help check us in. We were given room that had the door left cracked open and trash on the ground outside the door. There was no way this is acceptable or comfortable for anyone staying in a hotel. We went back to the front desk and asked for another room, but there was nothing left. We were forced to find another room at midnight on our own, and had to pay much more to get a room too. There was no effort to help me find another place to stay, and no guilt or remorse for the situation.
This hotel refuses to refund us for having to pay out of pocket for our emergency reservation, even though they left us out on the street to fend for ourselves. While we were reimbursed for the original stay (and rightfully so), we had to pay nearly 3x to stay in a room at another hotel. This is not something we should have to take care of for Red Roof’s horrible customer service and planning. When I tried to resolve this with the Guest Relations team I was hit with tons of roadblocks and poor service. I called and spoke to a representative who didn’t know how to solve any of my problems. I received a follow up e-mail asking for more information, and when I replied to it the e-mail bounced back as invalid.
Each representative I spoke to was rude and abrasive, with no customer service skills whatsoever. I was eventually escalated up to the Guest Relations Manager, **, who never returned my call or emails. My case was eventually escalated to **, Regional Director of Operations, who has also still not sent any response about my inquiry and/or refund. I had to contact him on LinkedIn to get a confirmation of my escalation as he would never respond to my calls or e-mails. My expectation is that a reputable organization would provide reasonable accommodations for a stay booked well in advance, and if they cannot they should cover any additional cost to reach a reasonable accommodation. I will never use any HomeTowne Suites or Red Roof hotel again.

Red Roof Inn: Trevose PA. This is my experience at the Red Roof Inn in Trevose Pa (Near Phila. Pa). We checked in Sunday the 16th June around 5:30pm. . This was for 10 days and check out on the 11 day. When we checked in we went to our room, it was small and since we are going to stay there 10 days I went back to the office and ask, "Do you have a room with a fridge. Also a coffee pot." She said “Yes it’s the next room next to yours. It’s an ADA room”. (I said when I made the reservation I need first floor because my wife is unable to go up steps, plus she was standing right next to me when I checked in and anyone that saw her knew she was handicapped.) So they gave us the ADA room which was nice of them.
Now that was the good part, now here is when it went downhill. The second day we were there my wife’s family knew where we were staying but they did not know the room number. They call the hotel and ask to be put through to our room. They gave them our names. They said they are not allowed to do that. It is security regulation, WHAT. That’s stupid. Luckily they called my cell and I told everyone our room number. Her brother calls later in the day and asks for room 179 and they told him there was no room with that number. He called me on my cell and went up to the office and told them they said “they were sorry” but they did it again 3 more times. See my wife can’t hold a regular phone. Her hands are deformed. So we use a hands free phone that we brought with us. She can’t talk on the phone without it.
Then on the third day we were there I notice a lot of kids and 4 and 6 people going in and out of the room all hours of the day and night. That’s when I found out it was also a homeless shelter (really). Sometimes in the night time 2 or 3 vans would come in and as many 6 people would go into one room. Now here is the real nightmare started, I was out for the day and my wife was in the room. She was outside sitting when they cleaned the room and when they left they lock the door so she couldn’t get in. They (it was 86 outside) said “we waited past check out time and if she didn’t leave they were going to call the police”.
She walked up to the office. Ask what was going on they said we were supposed check out at noon. She said, "No Thursday. They said, "No today" then she said “to call my husband”. My cell rang only 3 times after I was done. What I was doing. I called my wife and it didn’t go through. They said “there was trouble with the phone”.
When I got back and saw my wife sitting outside the room in tears ask what happen she told me, so I went to the office. They were very rude to me. I said “You have my credit card on file. Why didn’t you do what my wife said” and charge the room. She said “we don’t do that”, I said “why not.” She just said “we don’t do that”. Every hotel in the world would do that but not RED ROOF. They would rather put my little 5 foot 70lb wife in jail and since they have all our belongings lock in the room I paid for another day at almost double what we paid to stay when we checked in. I had a crazy clanking noisy vent from the bathroom that kept my daughter and I up ALL NIGHT! It kept banging as if there was squirrels or rats in it. Our room was not clean. When I asked for more towels they pointed to the pool sign. Trash and filth throughout the halls. The complimentary breakfast is a joke. Just some old stale muffins.

The experience was quite painful. Booked 2 rooms with 2 beds since there were 6 people, 4 adults and 2 children. First they did not have the second room for us kept trying to insist that my sister in law’s room was mine. After finally getting that settled we left since the rooms were not ready which was fine since we were early. Came back later to check in again we had the same issue with the later manager only stated that we booked one room and tried to give us my sister-in-law’s room. Again settled the room issue only to be told told they only had 2 rooms with 2 beds and a king size room. It was another discussion about how we had 6 people in our party and we need the rooms with 2 beds not one bed. The afternoon clerk insisted she was going to give my in laws (party of 2) 2 beds and give us the room with king size bed and the last room with 2 beds. Explained again we had a party of 6 and they were only 2 people.
Finally convinced them to give us the rooms with 2 beds in them to only go to the room and find a dead roach! Went back to let them know this was there and we were going to cancel our reservations. One roach always means a lot more. The outside of the building was filled with litter, broken bottles and the ceiling in the room had some sort of filth on it. There also looked like there had been some sort of issue in one of the other rooms where a fight or other issue had happened broken windows and the doors were smashed. This was not what I was expecting from a Red Roof Inn. I have stayed at other Red Roof Inns and were very satisfied this was very disappointing. Although I have to say the management people on duty were very nice. They handled the problem with professionalism.

It hadn’t been cleaned but no biggie not complaining it's busy season and nowhere else available. I cleaned it myself. Used my own sheets and towels whatever but the price still bothered me so I called on the eighth 6 days into my reservation and asked if I owed them anything they said no because my checkout date is the 9th then they wanted to argue with me about my checkout date even though I have 3 receipts saying the 13th then Booking.com called them and they said, "No it’s the 13th but only paid to the 9th that I owe 320 dollars." How is that when I booked at after tax 680.37 and I paid already 533.02.

HomeTowne Studios Denver - Airport/Aurora. 3705 N. Chambers Rd. Aurora, Colorado, 80011. I'm writing about Home Towne Studios by Red Roof Inn. I choose this place because it was the least expensive. After our car was stolen and being Robbed and beaten on the RTD while everyone just ignored or watched, my brother and I were in a homeless shelter until we received our check. I booked a room with Hotels.com For 21 days. Paid upfront. I have the receipt for 1225.50 and confirmation #. Our reservation was reconfirmed at 9:21 the next morning. Upon arriving at around 12:40 pm I was so called greeted by the Manager I believe.
This was completely out of line. Service dogs have every right to be in a hotel, as long as they do not disturb, or threaten anyone. If the owner cleans up after the service animal there is no question the hotel is required to accept them. She walked out and came back and said, "It doesn't matter anyway. Your reservation was canceled by Trivago for fraud! You need to call them!"
We proceeded to make calls to prove there was no fraud. She then came out for her cigarette right in front of the property. This is I'm sure is not what any hotel wants to hear. Upon realizing we would get nowhere with Hotel.com today we asked how much for one night? We now have no money in the bank because Hotel.com has it and only 120 bucks cash. We were told the Manager said we would not be able to stay there because of fraud!!!
We have now literally been outside the hotel. With me, my sick mentally and physically challenged brother who just was released from the hospital for pneumonia, 2 service dogs, enough money for only 1 night, no place to go, and now turned away for nothing! Now where does she get off making this decision without listening to what actually happened. There was no fraud. Our account and card were fine. In fact if there had been fraud as in wrong zip code or email/address my bank would have rejected the transaction immediately! There would be no reason for any kind of refund!
Tell me please where do people get off playing with people's lives? If you are going to be rude and nasty. If you could care less about people. You shouldn't be working this kind of job. If your property has more bad reviews than good, why do you have the same manager? I was in customer. I served for over 20 years in guest services. My customer satisfaction was stellar! I could use a decent job. I bet their rating would go way up. It's about Making money. Keeping up with the hotel, and simply doing your job with at least a caring front is at least minimum to earn a paycheck. You could even go above and beyond to show pride in your amazing responsibility as a host to many interesting potentially return clients and new friends. This establishment has lost my 1225.50 and any future business. I would be proud to run this establishment the way it deserves to be fostered.

The beginning of my nightmare started with a booking of a 3 night stay at a Inn Motel, that BOOKING.COM found and arrange for my 3 day stay of which I had to paid UBER $29.00 to ride me from Philadelphia PA, to Maple Shade NJ. The place that I had gotten booked to was the Hometown Studio by Red Roof, my stay would cost $172.00 for a 3 day stay. So I arrived at Hometown on 11/16/2018 at 9:30PM and since BOOKING.COM had me pay for 1 day in advance, that upon arriving Hometown promptly asked for payment of the 2 days that remain unpaid. Of course there was no luggage cart available so it was a venture carrying my bags to my room. Finally after a shower and having a very late meal I climbed into the bed and I had been on my laptop about 2 hours and about another 1 and 1/2 hour of watching TV I proceeded to turn the lights out, and about 15 minutes afterwards I felt a bite on 1 of my buttocks but I didn't think nothing of it.
To me the itching that proceeded was not a welcoming feeling, shortly I felt a second bite on my abdomen now that's what broke the camel's back. This was so alarming that I jump out of the bed to turn on the light so that I could see what bit me, but because of my poor vision with Glaucoma and Cataract blind in the other eye I couldn't see what was causing the biting, the only thing I did was that after getting dress I proceeded to the front desk only to find it closed with a sign that stated office closed till 7:00AM. So to summarize I checked again at 6:00AM to the front desk because I really was having a hard time waiting in the room, and wow finally my luck had a positive because I found someone at the office.
I explained to the clerk what had occur but she had no suggestions except to offer to inform the manager and to ask the manager to call me, to see if a refund for the other 2 days that I had paid in advance be refunded. So I waited for a call but no call. In fact I had to call corporate on Monday 11/19/2018 to complain but no call back from Corporate, so once again Tuesday 11/20/2018 told again that someone would call me but no one has as of yet 11/21/2018. But they certainly process the paid in advance $172.00 every penny for a 8 and 1/2 hour stay. By the way I also paid to get back to Philadelphia PA, $32.00 to UBER, so my nightmare cost was a total of $233.00 combined 2 bed bites and sleep deprivation for a 8 and 1/2 hour stay.

Was told to ask when I arrived and they would accommodate if one was available. Upon checking in, I made the request and was told they had one but it was a $70 up charge. When I mentioned my previous phone conversation, I was told that was the price. Decided to stay with the two queen beds.
Getting into bed that night, the first mattress made horrific squeaky/rusty springs/ screeching noises. I couldn't believe how horrible it was! Checked the other mattress and it was the same. Exhausted from traveling decided to suck it up. With each movement, even an ever so slight arm adjustment the sound was horrific. The room was also sandwiched between other rooms that allowed us to hear everything through the paper thin walls, car alarms, people coming and going all night. Needless to say, it was a sleepless night! Next morning requested a new room. Was moved a few rooms down (141 to 149). Prior to agreeing to the room, I checked the mattresses and while lumpy they were squeak free. Move forward to the next morning and the shower head has a mere drip of water. Worst hotel experience ever! I recommend to steer very clear of this hotel at all costs!

We booked the Leesburg, VA location due to its proximity to my grandmother for her 100th birthday party. They were supposed to be good. When I made the booking I did not get a confirmation number because the person who was entering the book said the page disappeared and he didn't know how to get back to it. He assured us we had a reservation, though. He also told me after I made the reservation that they were "under renovation". This was fine since I stayed at another hotel a few years back that was doing renovations and there was no inconvenience to the guests. We showed up after having worked and then driven four hours to discover that the "renovation" was full on construction. There was no siding on the building around the entrance, construction vehicle, equipment and supplies took up more than half of the parking lot and old, broken furniture was piled up in front of the building.
We headed inside where I wandered around looking for someone to check us in because there was no one at the front desk and no bell. After 10 minutes of wandered around and calling out for someone the manager checked us in. He then disappeared. We were on the second floor and so we went looking for an elevator to haul our bags upstairs. We wandered down a hallway until my husband, who was ahead of my son and me, reached the section of the hotel that was under construction, drywall ripped out and the innards of the walls exposed. We made it back the lobby where I asked the now returned manager about an elevator. He said they didn't have one. He appeared flustered and began looking on the computer, I guess for a room on the first floor. Meanwhile my husband started to lug our bags up the stairs trying not to touch the railings with the big "wet paint" signs on them.
We got into our room and settled a bit, it was cold, my husband turned on the heater and we left to go to my uncle's for some party prep. When we returned later it was near midnight and we were exhausted, we had gotten lost twice coming back due to blocked off roads and confusing turns. We made it back and there was no parking. I went in to ask the desk clerk about it and he said "yeah, the construction people take up half the spaces and don't care. You can park across the street". Disgusted with that answer I went out and wandered around, we finally found a spot where we hoped the construction people wouldn't move their truck or they would surely hit our car.
We went in and tried to go to sleep. The heater made a whistling/humming noise all night that kept me awake. The blackout portion of the curtains had holes in them and let in the light from the streetlights. The toilet wobbled when you sat on it and the pillows on the bed were throw pillows, very tiny. My son said the only good part about the room was the TV. (He kept getting kicked out of their Wi-Fi. Have you ever seen a teenager with no Wi-Fi...). The next morning my husband went down for his "Continental breakfast" I was assured they had. He came back with all they had, lukewarm coffee and stale bread he couldn't even toast because the toaster didn't work. He had to go to McDonald's to get us breakfast while my son and I packed up all our stuff.
We checked out even though we had another night booked. When we did the manager asked, "oh, was there noise?" I explained everything, to his credit he had helped us with our bags and was dismayed that we were told to park across the street, but of everyone we encountered there that was too little in comparison. When I told him about my husband’s breakfast experience he offered to "make us something" or get us breakfast burritos from Anita's Mexican Cuisine (I think that was the name). We decline and left. We looked at the building while loading the car. We saw construction workers throwing sections of the roofing off of the top of the building. We ended up staying our second night in VA at a Hilton Garden Inn that was farther away but so worth the travel distance. Total 180.

I am totally blown away on how horribly I’ve been treated by the Red Roof Inn in Piqua, OH and the Red Roof Inn organization as a whole. I will never stay at Red Roof Inn again and I feel obligated to tell everyone to beware of this hotel company. Here’s my story in a nut shell: My sister from Piqua, OH died while I was on a long vacation in the West. My husband called the property directly and made a reservation for me late on a Friday night in March, 2018 for the next day. I was dropped off at an airport in Dallas and arrived late on that Saturday night. When I tried to check in but the Front Desk Clerk couldn’t find my reservation. She looked several times but she showed no record of it. Concerned about their competence, I decided to go across the street to another hotel.
I called the Red Roof Inn the next morning to make sure that my credit card would not be charged since my I did not stay there. They assured me that would not be a problem since they still didn’t have record of my original reservation. Then, two days later a charge showed up on my card for the full five nights! I called back but they only reduced the charge to one night. I asked to speak to a manager but none ever called me back. I then went up the ladder to try to talk to regional and corporate people from Red Roof Inn.
Even a kind request to have a regional person call me went unanswered. This company seems to have strict rules to not sincerely look into a disputes. The charge was only $53 so I’m not going to worry about the money BUT I am concerned about what type of people are running this hotel group. They said they have a recording of my voice saying I was going to the hotel across the street. That is true, I did say that when my reservation was not found. I asked that they to listen to the tape again and hear how the clerk couldn’t find my reservation. They never got back with me about that. Actually, the Regional manager never called back after I requested a call and their people will NOT give out contact information for people to talk to when a problem happens.
Keep in mind, I never stayed there/It was only a one day prior reservation/No cancellation policy was told to my husband/I was there on a family emergency/It was March and they weren’t busy/They turned no one away due to my reservation/They LOST my reservation/and most of all: THEY REFUSE CONTACT WITH A CUSTOMER WHEN RESOLVING CONFLICTS! You really need to send someone there undercover and see what is going on. You are misrepresenting to your customers. This motel is so far away from being a 2.5 star hotel. I Have never complained or written a bad review ever. I am a easy to please person. This is my first. I really hope you look into for your customers sake.

Instead of getting someone to fix it or check on it they yelled at us and told us there was stairs in either end of the building... Good luck staying here. Nasty, not clean, no keep up properly... Never staying here again!!!

I checked in the hotel in the last few days of the month of March 2018. When I arrived the hotel agent acted as if she had no idea where I came from and why I was even there. She actually wanted me to go find another hotel at a last-minute notice because she didn't want to trouble herself trying to help me. The trouble was when I arrived the room that I got was a king size bed with no pull out couch. I was told there would be a pull up couch for my child. They told me that they do not accommodate pull-out couches at that location. She insisted that it was a mistake that no one spoke to me from the her location but in reality I spoke to the customer service from their location that told me this. I used the service online booking.com to book this reservation with Red Roof Inn. They kept blaming booking.com for their lack of attention and customer service.
Whatever information was in booking.com was not correct. They did not have a Jacuzzi. All they had was a pool that I wasn't allowed to use because it was seasonal. They did not provide breakfast. I was shown three different bedrooms. Two of them had a queen-size bed which meant I had to pay extra and she also told me that the price I got on booking.com did not include the $50 deposit. The blanket on one of the beds had blood stain on the corner that I was told was paint and that they wanted to see it in order to replace it for me. Seriously if someone told me that something had a stain in it I wouldn't even want to look at it. I would replace it and get them a new blanket if I was running a business.
Then small missing details about the room like a door locked in the bathroom a stumper for the bathtub a toilet paper roll holder. I had to contact the hotel in person cuz they would not answer the phone to them about the small details that were missing in the bathroom. Not to mention that the bathroom door did not close. It would constantly open on its own. I had to use a Maxi Pad to hold it closed. Then the bedroom outside door did not. I had no idea about this until I asked my daughter to pull it over to pull it to see if it opened. In order to make sure it's locked I had to push it hard enough. Then not to mention there was a terrible weed smell and cigarette smell in the bathroom from the neighbors upstairs. It was a non-smoking room. I didn't understand why it smells so much like cigarettes and later like weed from the neighbors upstairs.
I also had a hard time finding parking in the next to my room. I had to go all the way around to the back end to park my car. Not to mention it was very scary to park the car in the back. There were some interesting characters that would sit in the car all night long and it looked as if they were living in those rooms for months. I don't where they came from but they seem to very ghetto. A man approached me three times to ask me for a cigarette. That really freaked me out cuz I don't even smoke and I felt scared.
I started to wonder if the government was assisting them with living in the hotel for economical reasons. I paid a lot for this room and I was hoping for good service and to feel as if it was a real hotel not some boarding house full of ghetto people. The front desk lady said they do not serve breakfast but they have coffee all the time. When I check the coffee makers there was no coffee in them. I was very disappointed I couldn't wait to leave. I wanted to cancel everything but it was late notice and I didn't want to pay extra for some other place when I. Therefore my experience overall was terrible, terrifying, traumatic, uncomfortable and unpleasant. I couldn't wait to leave the sooner the better.

I stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Downers Grove Illinois and by far it was the worst experience ever. I stayed in a room for a week and not once did room service come to ask if we needed the room cleaned, when I asked housekeeping if they could have our sheets changed the girl gave me a garbage bag and said, "Go put the old ones in there" and she will give me new ones to put back on the bed... What am I paying for? And then when I told the front desk people about the issue they said that if you stay 3 days or more it is considered a week’s stay and they only clean once a week. Then while I was at work I get a call from my girlfriend saying that they kicked her out of the room because we weren't checked in for 6 days only 5, and the supervisor came upstairs banging on the door telling her to pack our stuff up and that she need to leave because housekeeping was coming by to clean the room for the next guests.
So she put her outside in the rain while it was only 30 degrees outside for almost 2 hours with all of our stuff and housekeeping never even came to clean the room. Then after I cleared up the mistake they made the supervisor came back upstairs and told my girlfriend she can now go back in the room and that they fixed the issue. After that we upgraded to a bigger room with a fridge and microwave because we were going to be staying for a couple more weeks. When I got home from work my girlfriend moved all our stuff for a third time into another room. When I got home I was very tired and just wanted to go to sleep because I had to be up early again for work, I went to sleep and woke up 2 hours later to scratching all over. I sat up and felt something crawling on my face and turned the lights on and looked down and there were a bunch of bed bugs all over my pillow and on the sheets.
I went to the front desk to complain about this issue and nobody was there so I said, “Hello” multiple times loud and then started yelling louder. By this time some guy comes strolling up to the front with no shoes on and tells me he was sleeping and he was sorry. Must be nice to get paid to sleep. He puts us in another room and we packed our stuff and went to another place that was the same price and the service was ten times better. Not to mention that they still charged us for the room for the night that the bed bug issue happened and I was told that the claims department will be contacting me within a day or two and that was a week ago. I told the supervisor who kicked my girlfriend out of the room that there were bed bugs and we wanted a refund and she said she needs a picture to prove it.
So I brought down the cup with the bug in it while they had a customer in there and I said, “Here is your bed bug you requested” and she yelled at me and said "I'm with a customer" really loud at me and I said, “I'm a customer too and you have bed bugs here and drug dealers serving people narcotics.” A deluxe budget motel is better than this establishment will ever be. I strongly encourage anyone who reads this to stay away from the Red Roof Inn in Downers Grove. This place lost over $1,000 of business from me because of their inconsiderate feeble housekeeping and hospitality. I will never stay at Red Roof Inn again in my life just because of this first time experience I've had. And the sad part is is that I travel a lot and this company could have had a loyal customer.

When we got there couldn't get in the door cause it was sticking. Had to kick the door to get it to open. Then fridge was turned up all up all the way and it wasn't even cold. Then was told that it was a private bathroom and it wasn't. It was a hole in the wall. It was a nice bucket when we walked into the room. Then pull back the sheets on the bed and there is yellow stains all over the sheets. It looked like the sheets had not even been changed from the last person that stayed there. My husband went and said something moved to new room. New room was better but remote didn't work, room had an envelope asking for money for the housekeeper. Had hardwood floors and they were dirty. When we left to go to a funeral there were empty pizza boxes thrown under the steps and when we returned it was still there at 3pm.

The Hotels.com website said, in the fine print, that if the room was canceled by 700 pm CST on 1/24/18 that a refund would be issued. I cancelled the booking at 630 PM CST on 1/24/18; I received no email or correspondence of any kind to prove that I had cancelled within the stated time frame. By 2/8/18 I still had not received a refund. I contacted the hotel directly and was told that they have a no cancellation policy, I then contacted Hotels.com and was told that my time of cancellation was 1250 AM CST which is inaccurate. Hotels.com said they would contact the hotel to attempt to obtain a refund. They stated they could not obtain a refund to my card. Seems like a scam to me. Excuse me 'cause I’m shaking so hard right now. I checked my li'l sister and her cat into the Red Inn Hotel in Dover, De about 2 days ago. This morning she went to go get the free breakfast that the hotel offered and came back to her cat missing. She told the hotel manager and staff and they started looking for her cat. They kept telling her that they didn’t see anything on the surveillance camera (a lie we feel) and that they would keep looking. Well my sister just called me crying her eyes out because she believes she found her cat dead on the side of the highway with what looks like a bullet wound in his head.
Please if anybody knows what actions my sister and I can take to bring this hotel down it would be awesome. I was finally able to meet my sister cat Cloudy while I was home for leave and he was the sweetest and scaredyiest cat ever. He would run with the smallest sounds and would just hide. He was a rescue cat and my sister had him since he was a little kitten. If anybody has any information I could use that would be much appreciated. Thank you. R.I.P Cloudy. Mommy and Aunty loves you very much, omg I’m sorry you had to go through that. I know you were so scared and just wanted your mom.
I called the hotel myself a few times. The first time I called I talk to a manager name Amanda and she assured me she was going to check over the surveillance and get back to me. I called a few hours later after finding out Cloudy was dead and she had yet to do any of what she said she was going to do. I tried to talk to somebody else above her and she gave me the runaround about how nobody has the number to the franchise manager, she could give me an email, somebody named Peter called the franchise manager and let him know about the cat already. None of it honestly made sense. My sister called the police and they told the police that the computers with the surveillance in them were down, so they weren’t able to check the surveillance. I would like some justice and some jobs lost please. Amanda just hung up on my telling me to write a bad review on Expedia when I asked to talk to somebody else.

Coming up on the building, both the outside and the parking lot seemed perfectly clean and in order- and, as a past customer of this business (more specifically the one in North Little Rock on Pritchard road- while this time around I'd chosen to take residence at the Red Roof Inn #552) I'd honestly been glad to arrive after the long trip I'd taken to get there during difficult weather on Tuesday 1/16/2018. However, I'd soon be disappointed by what all I'd find.
First of all, for a hotel that offers non smoking rooms, one would think they'd at least make an attempt to neutralize the smell. And yet, as my sister, husband, ten year old daughter and eight month old child made our way up the stairs and into the hall, we were immediately smacked in the face with the stench of smoke. It was overbearing- to the point where I couldn't ignore it regardless of how hard I may have wanted to. Hoping to escape the stench when I'd entered my room, we'd also very quickly learned that the walls were about as thin as a sheet of A4 standard copy paper. From the neighbors chattering in the halls, to the rooms around us loudly blasting music with no apparent consequence, we could hear it all. Left weary by both the stench and the sound, we'd went to climb into the bed- but the top cover had stains, and after hesitantly peeling them back I only found strands of hair scattered atop the sheets.
Initially, I'd tried to hold onto the hope that the room was simply on the cheaper end, and that all would be alright, but that night I had been awoken by something biting on my arms and legs. The marks were clear, and had begun swelling- and in retrospect I can only be grateful that I had been the recipient of them over my eight month old daughter, who surely wouldn't have recovered as well.
That night, I'd ended up having to go to the ER- and I also find myself thankful that I had the sense to remove my wedding rings before my finger had swelled up to the point they had. When I'd returned in the morning, the manager- Ian **, whose name I'm making it a point to recount because of his abysmal customer service- had apparently called Terminix to check the room, and they'd apparently claimed to have not seen anything. Ian then proceeded to argue with me over the bumps I'd received while in their hotel after the claim that it couldn't have been bed bugs- even going as far as to demand that I show him what bit me... Needless to say, I do not intend on ever revisiting this location, and I hope you don't give it a wink of your time either.

Wake up with a stranger next to you! Imagine waking up in your bed, and seeing 7 strangers in your room, 5 of them standing over you. This is what I woke up to yesterday at this hellish hotel. Previously, Airbnb sent me to this hotel as a perk through their corporate account, as I am a frequent a user and long time 5 star guest. At the hotel I thought the smoke free gimmick was nice and I didn't mind the room. So I decided to give it 4 nights and see if I liked it again. After 2 nights, I was satisfied and wished to extend my stay 2 additional nights, to make it 6 total (I had just confirmed the move in date for my new house, starting Oct. 6 nearby).
After 40 minutes over the phone, and 2 conversations with the front desk, it seemed that my rate would be increased for not only the 2 new days I wanted, but also the 2 I hadn't used yet. This was unacceptable, so I spoke with the phone agent again and let them know I would book online and if we could combine the stay. They said yes. A very nice girl at the front desk the night before let me know that I should speak with the morning operation the following day to make sure my stay was connected. I was told everything would be great, as long as I booked the same room they gave me for where I was staying.
So here's the great part. I call at 7 AM that morning. The girl at the front desk, confirmed my extension. She was even kind enough to point out I had actually mixed up the dates, told me she would alter it so I would have the extra 2 concurrent days, and that everything was perfect. The Vegas shooting was ongoing the night before and having not heard from my friends in Vegas I did not go to bed until late. I put in my noise cancelling earbuds, turned up my white noise app, and went off to slumberland knowing that I had done everything requested, booked a stay with my credit card online, and confirmed this stay with the front desk.
At 1PM I woke up to 5 men standing over me, while the manager and her assistant I guess, were behind. The shock and terror of this cannot be overstated. As this isn't the best area, they do apparently sometimes have things happened, and I had no idea waking from my sleep what this was. The amount of shock this caused, gave me a heart attack. I spent 6 hours at the Emergency Hospital nearby, to address my newfound heart pain... which still hurts as I write this.
Onto the amazing part. Despite having done everything I could, once the fireman they had called left with all of these uninvited people in my room, the manager promptly told me that I had moved the bed and that because of that I was no longer welcome at the hotel. These beds have wheels, real wheels, likely for cleaning under them, and I simply moved it at an angle to be closer to the air conditioner. What business is it of hers anyway, I didn't hurt anything?
So here I am, dizzy, shocked, gripping my chest, and this fat lady is telling me I can't stay at the hotel, because I moved my bed 4 feet towards the AC. This is after she didn't bother to recognize I had headphones on in my bed, as well as my phone was plugged into them. I can't say enough how unprofessional and pathetic this interaction was. I am already looking into where to file my lawsuit.
I explained to her before she walked off, that I had a right to stay, that I had paid, and this was already promised by an agent of the hotel, who worked at the front desk. I am told her name was Amanda... but the source of that information may be false. Apparently, they didn't understand that the girl had already approved my reservation and everything was solid. Otherwise, I have no idea what they were thinking.
35 minutes later, there is a knock on my door. I had already begun to clean up the room and leave it nice for the maids, as I always do wherever I stay, but I was unable to completely finish. Guess who? The manager called the police on me and had them supervise and escort me off the property! Me a customer who continued to offer to pay beforehand for my stay as well as was satisfied with previous days and the other stay.
So here I am, a Juris Doctorate holder from Pepperdine class of 2010, a current student in a Masters of Theology program, being told I have to leave because the manager said so and that she has ultimate discretion to kick me out. When the police came to the door I was in fact on the phone with dispatch to discuss with them my options, as I know this was all illegal.
I cannot say enough I would avoid this hotel at all costs. I have 26 Airbnb reviews as a guest, and every single one is 5 stars stating that I am a stellar customer and guest, who always leaves the room clean and is very polite. This review is only the beginning of a huge media campaign as well as legal recourse that I will seek as I look to be made whole from this encounter. I can only caution the reader, that I would avoid at all costs as this may happen to you as well. I will now be arrested if I ever set foot at a Red Roof again, as per this pathetic manager's filing against me as a trespasser. Amazing. Also a personal computer item of mine valued at $300 broke while being rushed out. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I arrived at the hotel on 9/26/2017 and the desk clerk was very nice and I ask about how clean the rooms were and she replied very very nice so I decided to stay the night after driving over 500 miles that day. I entered my room and at first glance the room appeared to be what she described. I was very tired and decided not to set a alarm and sleep until I awoke the next day. I had to use the bathroom about 4:00 am and as I was walk to the bathroom I felt something crawling on my back and turned around to the mirror. To my disbelieve there were 2 grown cockroaches on my right shoulder so I got a towel and got them off and stepped on them.
I immediately started looking around the room and there were many dead and alive roaches. Needless to say I started checking my overnight bag and found a small live one in a side pocket. So then pulled everything out of my bag and shaken all to see if anymore and repacked my bag and took my things to the truck and got my 3000 lumens flashlight and started looking at the room and found many more alive and dead behind different things and then noticed there was one in the bed dead and then 1 was crawling up my leg. So I took pictures and called the front desk and ask the clerk if he would come to my room and see the circumstances that I encountered and his reply was, "How can we make everything ok?" and I told him first of all to refund the night stay and replied he would have to get with the GM and they would call.
I went to the checkout desk and showed him the pictures and he was very pleasant and kept apologizing and would have the GM to call. Well after about 36 hours some lady called and said the manager offered me a 15% discount and I told her it really wasn't about the money. It was more about having a clean room so no others would go through what I had and she said he would call me back and I told her that was fine. However I was going to contact the headquarters and give my review and that's the last conversation we had. I am on the road overnight around 40-45 times per year and this is the worst so far in 10 years.

I know that I would not be able to check in by 3pm, so I put a credit card on file to hold the room for a later check-in. I still wanted them to know that I would be checking in around 6pm, so I called to location & spoke to the nastiest, rudest and most ignorant person I've ever come across... Ricky! When I asked him if 6pm was ok, he got really nasty. So I tried to just ignore it and go about my day. Then I showed up at the hotel & dealt with his rude ** again. First, he tried to charge me more than what I told online. When I questioned it, he got nasty & said he didn't know why in the most condescending way.
When I told him I needed to speak with customer service, he said, "Good. You do that." When I called him rude, he proceeded to say, "Bye. I thought you were leaving?" It took everything in me not to punch him. When I tried to take paperwork that he had me sign & that had MY person info on, he threatened me with violence. I was done. I walked out & called customer service. After speaking to customer service, the customer service guy was able to ascertain that Ricky was in fact charging more money than he was supposed to and was advised that I should compensated some free night or, at least, be given a weekly rate (not sure why I wasn't given that when I booked for A WEEK)!
Anyway, I was advised that I needed to speak with local management to see about any compensation. I've been waiting for a callback for nearly a month now. I ended up with skin infections all over my arms and legs and discovered a few days ago I brought them home with me. An exterminator is coming out this week and has quoted me anywhere from 600 to 4000 dollars to get rid of them. I have a new set of bites and my 3 kids and my husband and I are living in our living room. I'm dehydrated from all the tears I've cried over this. We are working class and I'm having to cash out some of my 401k just to pay for this mess. I may have to talk about options with a lawyer, but haven't decided on that course of action yet.
