I was trying to book an airfare 3 days ago to an European destination and the price was extremely alluring. I couldn't believe my eyes so I made sure I checked every line and every detail before I pushed the final button and luckily I decided to go with the cancellation fee in the event Visa does not help. Anyway, long story short, the price was exactly $1,013.35 with taxes included and no booking fee but to my dismay I noticed that the final price jumped to over $1,500. I became so irritated and called the agency which by the way responded on my first attempt which is weird given the fact that I have been trying to get a hold of them for the last three days and they put me on hold forever and eventually hang up. The agent then said he could help me find a better itinerary and for a better price and reduced it down to $1,368 which sounded about right as with other prices and I agreed though with much exasperation. He then went on telling me that I should get the ticket in about 20 minutes and today is the third day that I have not received a ticket, neither can get a hold of anyone. It appears that they do see the calls if you are calling from the same number more than one time. Please take my word for it and avoid these schemers. Disappointed flyer.

We booked our flight through them in March to travel from Boston, Mass. to Hamburgh, Germany to return on 26th August. I have some recent health issues so I called customer service and explained to them and also wanted to know the Cancellation Policy! I got the answer and told them I will think about it! When I went online to check the itinerary online it was cancelled! I was Shocked, and I called them at least 15 times during the day. Finally, they gave me a different Booking Code and I have been trying since then to open but the only answer I am getting that it cannot be found! So I call them again and they said they will email me but till 8.30pm when I am writing this complaint I have no confirmation!!

This company will take every penny for every and any little thing that they can get their greedy paws on. The insurance covers NOTHING pertaining to your flight and, oh by the way, don't look for reimbursements on anything. That's not going to happen either. I would not recommend using this site to anyone. Save yourself the headache of sitting an hour and 30 minutes on the phone waiting to talk to customer service or billing. I definitely would stick to Priceline, Hotwire, etc!!!

I was trying to book a flight between two European cities and Expedia and Travelocity choked on the search (kept searching, searching...). I found an acceptable connection via OneTravel. Since this wasn't an easy flight to arrange, I had no idea what was what, so I booked. Two big problems: first, one of my flights is a charter flight, so not a commercial airlines or a commercial flight. Customer support gave me the biggest runaround - at one point, an agent told me that since it wasn't a prop plane, it couldn't be a charter flight. Hmm, that's logic for you. Second, they charged me 57% over the actual cost of the tickets. Yep, I had two charges from each of the two airlines on my itinerary and a huge fee charged by OneTravel itself. So all the blah blah you get when on telephone hold about being the place to find discounts, it was the other way around - they charged a premium and a whopping big one at that. Beware of One Travel. They don't appear to be a reputable place to buy tickets.

Don't get flights with OneTravel; you will get screwed. I purchased airfare from OneTravel after several days of search. Finally I saw a flight with Lufthansa to overseas. I jumped on them for 1465 dollars but my flight had been canceled. They flew me to Madrid with American Air, then Frankfurt and they lost my carry-on. Coming back, they put me on a United flight. It was not Lufthansa and they lost my luggage. I'll never use OneTravel again.

I purchased a ticket and later noticed I put the wrong passenger's name on it. I called customer service, and the gentleman told me that if I paid $50 extra that I could reschedule the flight. I told him, no thanks... I'll just lose the money if there's no other option because I can't synch the flight now with the other one. He said "Well, how about if I charge you $25, and we will refund your ticket price to your card?" I agreed and thanked him for the offer.

The following day or so however, I noticed a $50 charge instead of a $25 charge and no refund whatsoever. I would get on their site and try online chat, but there is a space where you write what issue you are chatting about. And apparently when they saw what I was writing about, they closed out the chat. They also have not answered any emails. Although if you call their telephone number, they will say to contact our customer service specials by email and we will write you back within a few hours. So, instead of remedying the issue I originally called about, I got promised one thing, but what they delivered was yet another charge. Bait and Switch.

There was a problem in that it said I could be refunded within 4 hours of booking a flight - except they keep your money for 7-10 days when they could have released the hold!!!!! This is by far the worst travel experience I have ever had. Trying to book a flight with these people is like trying to bring JFK back to life. IMPOSSIBLE! I tried to book a flight but the website said it was no longer available even though it had said that it was. So I found a different flight and called to ask about the promotional code because there was no space to input it. The first person I spoke with first told me it was automatically deducted when the site gives you the total, to which I responded that it does not say this anywhere. He then said, "Well, it does not apply to all flights." I said this makes no sense and he said "yes." I then asked to speak with a supervisor to straighten things out because he kept repeating these same two statements which is obviously no help.

I was put on hold for almost an hour (55 minutes) before I decided to hang up and call back again. I was then directed to an automated voice that asked for my flight ID number and PIN. Not having one because I have yet to even book my flight, I was even further frustrated. So I called a third time and am now placed on hold again after demanding to speak with a supervisor and said I had already been put on hold for an hour. The representative said, "Well, we don't put people on hold for that long." Okay, representative, but you did. So I'm lying about my hold time? This is the poorest excuse of a company it has ever been my misfortune to tolerate. RUN FAST.

Armed with my review and with the help of my credit card company, I complained to OneTravel via e-mail and asked for a full refund of the ticket price. I had already paid the $50 non-refundable ticket cancellation fee. On June 17, they fully refunded the ticket price. The refund came in two parts. I would be careful about this company given the many complaints including mine, but they came through when I howled. I would now give the company three stars. Thanks, Consumer Affairs.

I needed to change a flight date due to a 1st degree death in the family. To my utter shock, I was repeatedly told "No. No changes are allowed" or "You have to buy another ticket." FOR A DEATH IN THE FAMILY!? How incompassionate can a company be??? In total disbelief at the injustice of this policy, I called Iberia themselves to see if they could do anything for me. I was told that OneTravel has to call Iberia's help desk to get an authorized change code for such a special circumstance and that because I bought the ticket through a travel agent, Iberia can only speak to the travel agent on this matter and cannot speak to the customer directly. So basically, something can be done, but OneTravel didn't want to bother to do anything.

Calling OneTravel back, I was put on hold for over 45 minutes each time in a span of 3 full days for over 24hrs. I was probably on the phone 30 different times and each time, had to go over all the sordid details of my father's death and how I needed to go back in time for the funeral. Each time I'm told that they cannot get a hold of Iberia or that Iberia was closed and that I needed to call back. That OneTravel cannot do anything for me and that we are all at the mercy of Iberia only. That the supervisors are too busy right now.

Iberia was open each time I called to check. They are just busy and so OneTravel had to be put on hold. For 3 agonizing days and a total of what must have been 24 full hours of talking to OneTravel and begging them to help me get home to attend my father's funeral, they ended up charging me a $325 processing fee. That was half my ticket price. I have been a customer of OneTravel for over 5 years and I have bought numerous tickets both domestic and international during that time. Never will I buy anything from them or their affiliate, Cheapoair ever again. I have never had to deal with such an insensitive company in my life. With the fee of $325, I felt completely taken advantage due to my situation.

I have experienced bad customer service before, but this wasn't just bad customer service. This was an utter lack of compassion. I have never experienced such pain and disappointment, crying on the phone to a robotic sounding customer service representative. No matter how much money I'll save, nothing was worth the pain and agony I went through from this experience. I would never wish that experience on anyone. So gravely disappointed that a company can take advantage of such a situation as a death in the family. I sit here still in shock at what I had to go through.

What happened: On June 12, 2013, I bought a OneTravel ticket for an international, multi-city trip. The travel was to take place in July. While I was on the phone with the South Asia-based agent, the ticket price due to fees jumped $603 from what was listed on my screen. But, the flight was still cheaper than competitors so I pressed on. On June 13, less than 24 hours later, I had to cancel the purchase.

Consequences: OneTravel's site clearly stated that the ticket was non-refundable, but the free cancellation teaser up in the right hand corner of the fare summary box said there was no cancellation charge within four hours. Hunting elsewhere on the site, I found that there was a $50 fee if the ticket was canceled within 24 hours. At first, OneTravel tried to charge me 70 Euros for the cancellation, citing my international itinerary. That policy distinction between domestic and international cancellations is not listed anywhere. I found and read the agent the $50 policy, and he backed down. However, OneTravel did not clearly say that the airlines also would deduct fees. Thus, to the $50 cancellation fee, OneTravel added $126, claiming this was an airline charge.

Furthermore, OneTravel charged my card immediately, but now won't provide a refund for 10-15 business days. I would not use the site again. By the way, this site is a mirror of CheapOAir. I wouldn't recommend them either. OneTravel had good prices and did post its non-refundable ticket policy. But, the company misleads consumers because it does not offer clear, full disclosure on ticket cancellation policies and fees. If anyone uses them and has to cancel, do it quickly and expect to be surprised at the total charge. The refund will be slow to arrive. Let the buyer beware.

They immediately sent confirmation showing the outlandish charges without our approval for confirmation charges (they skipped the whole process of accepting terms and conditions). They falsely checked the box where we would accept the terms and the amount of charges. As soon as we saw confirmation (could not have been more than a minute after providing our account info), we called their customer service number and was placed on hold. After holding one (1) hour on one phone, we called other number provided on the site at which time we had two phones on hold for around two (2) hours and speaking with 3 different agents who were saying that I reached the wrong department and transferred call.

As we were holding on the phone, they were attempting to get the charges through to our account (we fortunately pulled up our banking account online to see if anything was going on). Thank God we DID not have that much funds in the account. After trying to run the falsified amount, they ran the card again for the amount of $1.00. We were lucky and learned a good lesson for $1.00. I received a vacation package and airline ticket confirmation message from One Travel that same day. Six days later, I received an e-mail stating that my "refund request" had been processed. I had never made a refund request. It took most of the day to finally find out that in fact I had not made the request but rather the hotel had not confirmed the reservation so I was being refunded the money. I had never been contacted about the hotel problem before the refund email.

When I asked about cancelling the airline portion of the package as I had to make alternative plans, I was informed that the tickets were non-refundable; and I was stuck with them! When I asked them how they could purchase non-refundable airline tickets without first knowing the other parts of the "Package" were confirmed. The only response was "I'm sorry." Unbelievable... go elsewhere for your travel arrangements.

Someone in our party tried to choose their seat on the plane, not knowing it cost money to do so, and we were charged $72 because he picked which seat he wanted. Fortunately, the specific airline, Aerogal, we were flying on does not allow passengers to choose their seats. Without me even having to say anything, OneTravel refunded our $72, since the specific seats couldn't be reserved.

In Ecuador, people 65 years or older get half-off airline tickets. Most travel agencies and online booking sites did not ask our age, and therefore did not apply the senior discount. OneTravel did ask for our ages, and my Dad got his plane ticket at half price, saving him around $200.

In 25 years, I have never had this experience. I will never use One Travel as no one would wave it or reduce it. I booked a flight with OneTravel; I gave them my credit card number and all seemed well. One day after booking, they sent me an email where they said they requested me to give them some additional information for the booking to be made. The information they required was if I had or if I were going to travel from America (north, south) over the Pacific to Asia, and if I was, they requested my international ticket number for that. All this was just to book my one way trip from Taipei to Tokyo. I thought it was very strange but I replied the truth, "I have never taken any flight over the Pacific; do you need anything else from me?" They did not reply so I thought everything was fine.

Two days later, I started sending them emails because I was worried when they didn't confirm my answer. I got no reply from them. Two more days later (2 days before departure) I had not yet received my real plane ticket so I sent yet again emails to all the support addresses I could find on their webpage; still there was no reply. At last, I got a hold of the support via their chat. I told him my concern and he replied to me that they have no ticket for me.

First, the support guy tried to ** me that the plane is cancelled. I called him on that and then he instead told me that because I have never gone over the Pacific, I couldn't book the flight with them. "What?" I replied. So less than 48 hours before departure, they told me I have no ticket and there was nothing they can do. I demanded that they get me a different flight because two days before departure there is practically no chance to find a new one for me. He got me an offer tha was three times higher price than before. I told him, "No way," and that they should pay the difference because they have screwed up and not given me correct information (I'm still not sure about that story they told me about the Pacific **).

I was furious and told him that they have ruined my trip, that I had booked hotel and home flight from Japan that couldn't be undone and was now useless. I requested to speak to the manager, and the support told me that he would call within 5 hours. He never called. So now here I am, my trip is ruined and I've lost a lot of money from booking stuff I can never attend to do. It's all basically a scam and the only good thing is that they have not taken any money from me. I'm still considering changing credit card since I don't trust the company. They have a ridiculous answering machine in their support. I suspect scam. No serious company treats customers like this. Never use OneTravel.com. Don't do it.

I knew this is a scam because it would always go up like that. This was a bait and switch. When I searched about them, I saw all these reviews and it made sense. They're scammers and judging from their accents, they are from India. They're competing with other sites on Kayak, and they want people to focus on the site when you see the cheap fares. I've written to Kayak to ask them to stop showing these two sites on their website. I don't know how they've managed to stay in business for many years (at least since 2010).

On the day before we were to depart to Barbados, One Travel calls and tells us that we are going to have to leave a day early from Barbados and make 2 additional connections to get home... plus overnight in Jamaica with no offer of paying the hotel accommodations. After about 12 hours of back and forth and being on hold waiting to speak with someone who is actually empowered to do something, we are told that the best that they can do is pay for our hotel and meals; but we still have to leave the day early.

We come to grips with our mistake (I booking with One Travel) and suck it up. We are now currently in Barbados 2 days before we leave, and we just checked with the hotel in Jamaica. And One Travel has not made arrangements for the meals. So again I begin to worry and feel that they just said they would do that to get us off the phone originally. I call One Travel and of course the toll free line does not work from Barbados, and I end up being on hold waiting for someone to answer at my own expense. No one does! And now I am no further ahead. I have emailed and now I’m waiting to see how they will handle this! I will never book with One Travel again and will do everything I can to tell everyone not to book with them. I needed to change a ticket for my return on March 4, 2013 from Tampa to NYC (done through United Airlines) to March 5. I was told by one Lincoln (?) that it would cost me $100. I agreed. After checking his files, he returned to tell me the airline charged $250 to change tickets, which seemed exorbitant given that I'd paid $244 for the trip back and forth (originally for going to TPA March 2 and returning March 4). I told him if he could find a solution and after some hunting, he came up with a Spirit Air ticket that cost $189. Given that it was at least better than $250, though I'd have to pay $433 in all, I gave in. What I was not told was that Spirit Air charged customers another $50-$100 for carry-ons. So in all I paid $483 for a change in one ticket. Perhaps it is common practice, but to me this appears to be a con job. Over to you.

Everything was confirmed and One Travel gave me the itinerary to go to Indonesia. The next day, on 3/1/13, a One Travel's representative by the name of Gerald called and told me that the price was increased to $6,529. I told him that I would cancel the tickets if One Travel increased the original price. Then, he offered me a discount of $200, but I insisted on the original price and told him again to cancel the tickets. Then he said that even though I used to buy from another company, they will have the exact or even higher price. This means that the original price of $5,845 was not true in the first place.

It seems that they only made an imaginary price just to attract people and then tell people later on that the price went up. The representative was very argumentative and created excuses after excuses. I told him that I would rather pay a higher price with another company who I would be satisfied with. After a while, he told me to wait and not cancel and that he would ask his boss about the original price. He promised to call me back, but after several hours passed, there was no call as he promised. Then, I went to my bank to cancel the transaction. In conclusion, be careful to deal with One Travel website because they are unreliable and untrustworthy.

I tried to book a vacation to the Philippines just the other day. This company was the first thing that came up on Google. I didn't have any time to plan this vacation because I only just found out about it. So I figure, why not take my first real vacation ever? I don't know anything about planning, but I spent close to 6 or 7 hours carefully going over the hotel and the flights. I finally made my purchase. The total for airfare with travel insurance comes to $1,400. So the next morning, I received an email from Travel One indicating an error had been made and I actually owe a hundred dollars more than that. What? Why? I called them and half an hour of waiting led me to a thick-accented Indian man, who tried to convince me to take a $1,500 or $1,600 flight. Then when I indicated I really just wanted to cancel, he brought it back down to $1,400 without batting an eye. What? You can't haggle this sort of thing!

So by this time I had found this website including testimonials of people who have been lied to by this same guy. I was so distraught I had to call my bank and cancel my card out of fear they would try and use my information to illegally take money out of my account. Now I can't go anywhere. Years of waiting for an opportunity to finally go somewhere exciting is now gone. Since I am working in a foreign country (Korea), I can't write anyone a check. I'm so incredibly angry that they wormed their way to the number one spot on Google. I had no idea scams for airline tickets even existed. But apparently, they were charging almost double the norm! We saw that there were only a few vacant seats and were afraid we would lose them. We were flying early the next morning. When we finally got an itinerary, it only showed 2 of the 5 legs of the trip, and it was very confusing the way it was laid out. I bought a return ticket from Vancouver to Japan, along with cancellation insurance. It cost me about $1050. I had a change in plans, so I contacted them. They told me I'd be charged $100 to change my date (plus difference in airfare), or pay $150 to cancel the flight completely. Later, I searched some prices on their homepage. I wanted to change my flight to a one-way and about a month later, I suspected I'd end up with a net refund due to changing from a return to a one-way ticket. When I called up, they told me that I could change my ticket for about $300. I was confused, thinking maybe they got confused and would deduct $300, but in fact, I would have to pay $300 extra to change my return ticket to a one-way ticket, even though I could see on their website one-way tickets for the day I wanted at about $750.

Logically, I thought $1050 original price minus $150 cancellation charge (even though I had insurance) = $900. $900 minus $750 (ticket I want) = refund of $150. So why would I pay $300, when I should be receiving $150? Anyway, I decided it would be cheaper and safer to outright cancel my flight then rebook with someone else. So, anyway, I'm going to get a major ding. I paid $1050 and will be receiving about $780 as a refund. I'm just hoping they didn't screw me over more and will charge me the $150 on top of that. I had questions so I called the number provided on the site. I spoke to Nichlos, a man with a strong Indian accent. He indicated the fares given on the website was incorrect and if I tried to purchase through the website, it would not process the fares as indicated; it would be adjusted at a higher amount. I booked the flight with the agent and after an hour I checked with my bank to see a total charge $1447.20 plus $150 on my debit card. I called the agent back to complain about the added charges. He explained he had no control of how his billing department applied the charges.

The next morning, I got an email from One Travel indicating my card was declined and I needed to contact customer service to reprocess the transaction. I did contact customer service and expressed my displeasure with how I was quoted one price and charged a higher price and this was probably a blessing with onetravel.com not processing the card correctly and I have no desire to do business with this company. On November 23, 2012, I was contacted by phone from a One Travel agent requesting if I wanted to proceed with booking the reservation for Las Vegas. I repeated my displeasure with this company and informed him that I had since booked with another company. Shortly thereafter, I was sent an email canceling my reservation and that any money held would be credited back to my account.

Today November 24, 2012, I checked my bank account and One Travel deducted $1597.20. I contacted my bank and the rep. informed me that she saw no evidence that this transaction was ever declined. I contacted One Travel and after 1 hour of being on hold, hang ups, speaking to 3 agents, and one supervisor, I was told there were 2 reservations for the same flights and times and only one was canceled. The supervisor said the tickets were issued, the airline had payment and I would need to go to the airline to be refunded. I cannot get anyone to explain how this reservation got double booked. On November 21, after being told my card was declined, I booked with Airtran Airline for $1448, same dates, and now with being charged $1597.20 from onetravel.com, that brings a grand total of $3045.20 for a simple trip to Las Vegas. I searched and made reservations for two tickets for my wife and 5-year-old girl for the desired departure and return flight dates. I paid the fare price using my credit card. Later the next day, I looked at the email coming from OneTravel.com with payment confirmation and flight details. The return flight had incorrect dates and surprisingly, 29 days apart than the return flight dates I originally booked. I quickly called OneTravel.com to bring this error to their attention. The customer service representative promptly responded that it will cost me $570 to make the correction.

I insisted that it is error on their part and I should not get charged for giving me the correct return flight, but nothing worked. I even spoke to the supervisor and it did not resolve the issue. There is no way my wife and daughter can have the return flight forced on me by this travel agency, I had no choice but to pay $570 to make the correction. This travel company is a ripoff. I am now $570 in hole on hard earned money. I would never advise anyone to use OneTravel.com for their travel needs and will recommend everyone to stay away from these cheats.

I'm still waiting after 3 months to get my money back. I did my share of bad-mouthing on Facebook since apparently One Travel doesn't like to get bad public reviews. Of course, who knows if this actually goes anywhere? It seems to me it’s pretty easy for some computer geek to just auto-archive any bad-mouthing of One Travel. Sure, have a lawyer to gimme a call - it’s not the first time I've requested.

If this site saves any money, it is not worth the aggravation, unprofessionalism and indifference they give to customers. Wish I knew there was a treasure trove of complaints against this vendor before I mistakenly did business with them. But never again! Worst online travel site ever!

Worst site ever. They do have cheap fares, to which I got lured in. What I didn’t expect was it choosing flights for me totally different from the dates I actually asked for. I booked on a weekend and didn’t get to check booking confirmation back when at work where I used my work email. Turns out it was 3 days different from my specified departure and arrival dates specified! Flight to Vegas was $232 for two. To rebook, it cost me another $236 additional. Double! What a rip-off. They got their pound of flesh, but I will never ever use them again. And I'll make sure no one else I know uses them. I should have stuck with Expedia or Orbitz. I never had this problem with them before. I’m sure Onetravel wouldn’t stick around for long. With dissatisfied, new customers all the time like me preaching how horrible they are. It might be my fault to expect their website to be easy and accommodating like Expedia or Orbitz. It's my fault for expecting to find fares for the dates I wanted to fly in. Thanks to Onetravel.com for making me feel stupid for not checking if I'm actually getting the flights I asked for. Expensive lesson learned, courtesy of Onetravel.com

I then called their toll free number which took me to some overseas call center where I can hardly understand what they were saying. I questioned their deceptive price listing practice and their answer was it's all sold out. I went on to ask why they still left the low price on their website. In short, stay away from these guys.

I'm still fighting this after 3 months. Consequences: I was billed over $900 for a flight I never took. This is called stealing. These people are working in some "call center" boiler room operated by foreign nationals. Often they don't even answer the phone. If they do, their English is so poor they can't answer requests. They sold me some ticket I could not use because plans change and it seems they only have deals with Frontier Airlines which is not who I wanted to use. So I arranged my own alternate travel through Alaska Airlines who were great.

They canceled our tickets twice without letting us know. They said on multiple occasions (which was a lie) that our flight was confirmed and that they'd send an email within an hour (never happened). They gave different stories each time we called. Very, very shady. And yes, they offered us the same tickets after canceling our tickets (without letting us know) at higher prices twice, I might add. If we hadn't called to confirm on multiple occasions, we would have been stuck overseas.

We said we'd like to cancel as it was becoming quite obvious they were not going to give us any actual tickets. They promised us confirmation that we would not be charged within 4 minutes, but when we said we'd wait, she changed it to 15 minutes, saying she couldn't stay on the phone that long. When we asked for her extension, she lied; she gave us multiple "extension" numbers that were apparently all hers. I don't know how it is even legal for them to be in business. Whoever decided to list them with other travel sites needs to seriously rethink doing business with scam artists.

I went back to the website to find the same tickets and re-entered the purchase, but the same reservation was available. I called their Customer Service Representative and spoke with Cale (Middle Eastern accent). Cale searched their system and it did not show any information for any purchases using my home phone # or credit card # or address & assured me that no charges were made against my credit card.

Since I could not get the tickets at the same price that was originally applied for, I went to a different ticket provider to buy a real ticket on Priceline.com. When I returned from my own travel for my daughter's wedding two & a half weeks later, I sat at my computer to go over all the wedding expenses on my credit card and lo and behold, there were charges from OneTravel.com but under the guise of a third party to the airline tickets. I never received any confirmation information, travel itinerary or purchase confirmation to my provided email at the time of purchase. I called the airline that was listed on my credit card billing. They gave me the ticket numbers and the third-party travel agency’s contact number.

After about 8 hours on the phone of which 99% of the time was spent sitting on hold & then they come back to you, their phone system supposedly they can't hear you responding to them when they take you off hold and then they hang up on you and never call you back, even though you've given them your phone # several times in the short conversation. After many calls to both customer service & the billing department, Sam filled a "Waiver Request" with the airline that the tickets were purchased for through OneTravel.com. Then the same woman, named Sam, sent me an email regarding the pending waiver. I have responded to that email 3 times in the past two weeks, but still have not received any follow-up from OneTravel.com to resolve the charges to my credit card. I was on the phone with them and the airlines for a total of 7 hours. To make a long story short (like I said, they gave me the runaround), I finally talked to a supervisor on each end and eventually, they fixed the problem. But One Travel called me back saying that I needed to pay a $25.00 fee for the mistake and that it wasn't One Travel charging the fee, it was American Airlines. I was kind of skeptical about it so I called AA to confirm that. No, they were not the ones who charged a fee. It was actually One Travel.

I checked my online statements and sure enough, One Travel (not American Airlines) took the $25.00 from my credit card. It was only one letter that they messed up on, not a complete name change! One Travel is a scam. I never did get an English speaking person on the phone. One Travel customer service is crummy and I will never ever go through them again. I clicked the link to the online itinerary in our email, and it had e-ticket numbers. I called the Customer Service rep, and they said that we would not get anything more - just to take the e-ticket number to the airline. Since I had read some negative reviews, I decided to check with the airline directly.

We went out on US Air and came back on United. I was able to use the e-ticket number to see our US Air flight and pick our seats - don't be scammed into paying another $11.95 per person to have OneTravel.com pick your seats. That is what it asked me when I clicked the Pick Seats button on our itinerary. I then checked with United, and they gave me our actual confirmation number, and I was able to pick our seats on United Airlines site. Long story short, we had no issues with our flights - we're able to check in online and print boarding passes, and we were charged the right amount on our credit card. So other than a few bait/switch tactics to get more money, and not clear instructions on how to get our boarding passes, we got what we paid for.

One Travel responded that unfortunately, booking was sold out but that I could rebook with an alternate option and that I would be credited with up to $20.00 off for my inconvenience. I called One Travel customer service and attempted to negotiate their obvious attempt to bait me with one fare, then switched me to a higher one. Although polite, the customer service representative appeared to be working under company constraints that greatly limited her flexibility. Last year, 3/16/2011, I had booked a flight for my girlfriend at the time to fly from NYC to Minneapolis. We had a fallout, and I wanted to salvage the plane ticket for a different flight for a vacation for my self. I called Onetravel and had them change the destinations from "NYC to Minneapolis" to "Minneapolis to Washington, D.C.," as well as the dates from May to June.

The first person, after a 20-minute hold, made these changes for $220, which was cheaper than buying a new ticket which would had been $320. She had put me on wait to do the changes but couldn't get my credit card to go through. She gave me her direct number to call back. I called my credit card company, and they said everything was fine. I called her back at her direct number, and she didn't answer. I left a message, but due to time constraints, I couldn't wait for her to call back.

I called another customer service rep who answered after a ~15-minute hold. He could barely understand English, and I had to spell out my first and last name using words since he couldn't understand the letters. This actually took 5 minutes, because he couldn't even understand the words I was telling him! This is not my real name, but for the sake of an example, to spell Timothy, I would say T as in Train, I as in iron, M as in mother, etc. He couldn't understand that and my name is no more complex than Timothy!

After he got my name in, I told him I wanted to change my destinations. He took in the destinations and put me on hold. The hold lasted for almost 1 hour! I actually had to go to work and was driving, about to give up, when he finally answered. He said he did the change and it was going to cost me $150. I agreed to the change and he sent me an email which I still have. Due to time constraints and the insane wait times, I couldn't make my second change for dates. He wanted me to approve the changes by email which I had to wait for due to I was going to work. He said he understood.

I called Onetravel about 2 days later. I called and after a 15-minute hold, I was able to get my dates changed. This cost me another $150. Funny how a $220 change costs me $300 if done separately. And the other thing I had noticed was the airline charges a $80 fee for a change (Sun Country Airlines), not a $150 fee. The representative emailed me the changes, and I approved both the changes at that time--the destinations first and then the dates. The online itinerary the next day reflected these changes and looked exactly how I wanted it to. The total cost of the ticket was $689.38.

A day before the flight, I called Sun Country Airlines to check on the flight times to be sure it wasn't going to be canceled. They looked up my itinerary and found said that they still had my destinations as NYC to Minneapolis. They said only the travel agency can change it. I called the travel agency, and after a 35-minute hold, I got no answer. I called again, and after a 10-minute hold, I finally got someone to pick up the phone.

I explained the situation to the person who understood me fairly well (All the customer service reps were Indian from what I could tell from their accent.), and he said he needed to talk to his supervisor. He put me on hold for 40 minutes, and the music even stopped after a while! He picked up after 40 minutes and told me that he was doing a refund and that he was sending me an email. He said the money would be refunded to my credit card. I then had to book a new ticket (directly with the airline this time) that cost me over $700 because it was the day before the flight!

I went on my trip, and when I came back, I called my credit card company to see if I had received the refund. They said no, but most refunds they said can take up to 5 weeks. I waited and called them again after a few more weeks. They said they received no refund and that I should call the person giving the refund.

I called Onetravel, and they said that they do not refund tickets. (I forgot to mention I had brought this up to the person who promised the refund, but he insisted I was going to be refunded,) I told them what happened, and they said they would give me a credit for $300. So I was taking a $489.38 hit besides the fact that I had to buy a new ticket that cost me $700.

After all the frustration, I had agreed to the refund. Just today, I tried to take advantage of the $300 credit, and I had to fight Sun Country who had said they had refunded the whole ticket. After they looked deeper, they found the credit but said it has to be used by March 16, not when the credit was given which was in August.

Currently, Sun Country doesn't have flights past June, and I can't fly until July 21. So I got **! on even the credit. If Sun Country doesn't have flights posted for past June by March 16, I can't use the credit for when I want to fly. So I take a whole $689.38 loss on my first ticket on top of the $700 I had to pay on the second ticket. I would had been better off just buying a new ticket instead of changing the old one.

Response: I received 2 emails from different people at OneTravel, both extremely sorry for what happened and credited back the $100. The one manager went on to say 'extreme measures' would be taken so this never happens again. Hopefully, that person was fired. Anyway, OneTravel handled the situation promptly and I was pleased with the result.

Does OneTravel even care about the customer after they issue a ticket? I was treated very poorly in my request for a refund on a flight that was cancelled. Air India said that it wasn't cancelled. But when a guy with an AK47 tells you it was cancelled, twice on two separate occasions and after you check with the guy in charge of all tickets from the airport and he says it was cancelled, then it was cancelled. I was charged $100 to cancel my ticket, even after I tried countless times to explain the reason why I couldn't get on the plane. I wanted nothing more than to get on the plane out of here, but if the airport is closed or the flight is cancelled, I cannot and I do not think I should be penalized for it. I used the chatline because all my credits were used up by OneTravel and Air India. She never listened to a word I said, all she said was $100 to cancel, $100 to cancel.

I feel I was treated unfairly given the circumstances that I was faced under. I have been stuck in a major snowstorm for 3 days and to be told that I have to pay for a cancellation that I didn't even initiate or want is completely ridiculous and tells me that OneTravel really doesn't care about the customer at all. By the way, this happened a day before also with Orbitz and they gave me a full refund, no questions asked. I will never use OneTravel again because of this.

I was disconnected from the first receptionist doing the transferring. I called back and got another receptionist that I could not understand. She told me to contact Sun Country Airlines directly, which I did. The agent there (who I could understand) told me they didn't handle that information, that the travel agency should have had that information. So, I again called Onetravel (third time) and asked about the baggage cost and how it was to be handled (charged). I still didn't get an answer. I could, at least, understand the male agent that time. The flight itself was great. However, I don't think we will be using Onetravel again for our vacation plans.

Our court date has been changed to March, so we called them back to see if we could get a credit towards our future flight. We have incurred $300 in cancellation fees, and our total is $870 for new tickets! We already paid $850 for the old ones we could not use. I really wish airlines would sympathize with people who have court related issues to resolve. Our family doesn't make that kind of money. I pray this doesn't happen to anyone else.

OneTravel wasted my time and at the end, a headache that I would not be able to remove. They have a ticket and are still advertising on their webpage. When I called them to book the flight, I was told that they are unable to see that fare. I started thinking that there may be something wrong with my system. I searched again and got the same result but on phone they offered me ticket for$ 200 more.

I even checked that after two days and called them. Eventually, I was told that they have some expired pages in the system. (Other site are updated even when there is purchase/cancellation of one ticket.) I agree that they advertise the lowest price but they cannot give you the offering for the same amount. So please do not trust their advertisement. Better not to do business with them. This is my personal experience and I quoted what happened to me this week. I will prefer to purchase ticket from the airlines. I am lucky that I knew the OneTravel at the right time because many comments can be seen that some people book online and the end of the day they receive an email telling them that the booking has been cancelled.

After reading several negative reviews, I realized that this was their typical scam. I changed the flight with the airline going to Jacksonville without a fee. I was able to print an e-ticket going there, directly from the airline.

On the way back, I was told because it was a different airline, I could not get an e-ticket. I called Onetravel and was told that I could get a ticket at the airport and not to worry about it. Luckily, I got to the airport two hours early because it took over an hour for the airline to corroborate that I actually paid for tickets and they had to rebook me on the flight and print me a ticket. Onetravel never gave them an e-ticket number and although I actually had two seats reserved on the flight, the airline needed this information from Onetravel who never provided it. They were completely unhelpful when I called them, at first lying about there being no problem and then giving me the e-ticket number I had already used going to Jacksonville.

Before leaving on the first trip, my credit card was being charged $15 for first reservation, $15 for second reservation, $190.98 for first reservation, and $278.97 for second reservation. When I arrived at the motel, the reservations were made but I had to pay the full amount there because there were no payments made even though the amounts had been removed from my account.

Holiday Inn was not authorized to take anything out of my account except the one time I was in Oklahoma in person. I received another booking receipt and confirmation today, 07/21/2011, but when I checked to verify the confirmation at Swiss Airlines, I got this message, "Your reservation ticket has been cancelled." The confirmed e-ticket for Swiss Airlines was valid when checked at the airlines website yesterday. This seems to follow the company's bait and switch pattern, and defrauding its customers. Just when Onetravel will not accept any changes to my confirmed itinerary without steep charges, I will not accept these sudden changes to my paid for and confirmed flight ticket as per booking.

I decided to book our flight (from Atlanta to New York) via One Travel since airfarewatchdog.com (which I thought was a reputable site) recommended them. The Myrtle Beach layover (going to and from our destination) via Spirit Airlines was doable since the price was cheaper than the major airlines.

On July 2 about 1 p.m., we booked online and received a booking number from One Travel. On July 3 around 2:45 p.m., we received their e-mail that read, "The price requested" changed: $82 more!

After waiting on the phone for almost 90 minutes, I spoke with someone (whose name was inaudible) in customer service. He asked me if I could stay in New York for an extra day; otherwise, the price would jump yet another $100. I immediately cancelled our so-called "booking" via the customer service representative and responded to One Travel's e-mail, saying we had cancelled. They promptly responded to the e-mail confirming the cancellation, but claimed that it might take one-to-two billing cycles to credit my account.

One Travel is clearly and blatantly playing a bait-and-switch game, while trying to tie up my credit!

I bought a $1600 ticket, they called me the next day and I confirmed the transaction info. Then, on the same day, they called and said that the price of the ticket changed to $3500. I called back to speak to a customer service but they couldn't help. I asked to talk to a supervisor but they kept transferring me from one person to another. Eventually, after trying the whole day to get this right, I gave up on this ticket and went ahead and bought a new ticket.

Bottomline, they don't guarantee the price, and they don't say so. I find that misleading, and an unfair treatment. I wish there is an agency that monitors those people so that I can file a legal complaint. The treatment was misleading, dishonest, and unfair.

I scheduled a round trip flight to Dallas, Fort Worth TX from Atlanta Hartsfield in Atlanta GA on Wed., June 22 ,because we had a death in the family and had to fly out for the funeral on Saturday. I booked it for a departure of Friday, June 24 & return Sunday, June 26. I figured they recorded their phone conversations and I went over this booking with the girl several times so that there were no misunderstandings! I even told the girl that we were traveling there for a funeral and returning Sunday. We get to TX, go to the funeral and to our relatives house afterwards for our full 1-day family time.

While there, I wanted to check in online and assign seats and found out from Air Tran we did not have a flight out for Sunday morning like I was told we would. The idiot that made my reservation put the return for July 26 instead of June 26 even after going over it several times! I called them several times and even spoke with a manager named Nigel, if you can even call him a manager. I explained my situation to him and they were willing to change my flight, oh, and charge me $1057 for fees when it was their fault. Hello? I told him to go listen to the phone conversation.

He said I needed to take some responsibility on my part to check out the info myself on the email she did not send. What a **! Needless to say, I chewed him out for being so unreasonable! He did not even want to give me the President of the Company's name. I got it from him anyway. I started reading the complaints here and found that I went through some of the same things - several calls, extreme amt of hold time, terrible customer service, dropped calls. This is the worst customer service and company I've ever dealt with. What a way to help a family! They screwed over at a time when there was a death in the family. Really! How cruel can you be?

The time was taken away from our family right after the funeral and there is no telling how long it will be before we see them again. If I had not have checked the flight we would have ended up without one at the airport. I spent countless hours correcting this and got no help from One Travel at all! I cancelled (which they said I couldn't and wanted to charge me for that too)! These people are ridiculous! I ended up calling American Airlines to book another flight. Now I'm going through a dispute with them on the return charges. I only wish I would have read these reviews before I booked anything through them.

I choose it and confirmed it ....HOWEVER my choice was not given to me. THEY chose another airport for me. I did not recognize this at first, but a couple of days later sharing it with a friend. I called and immediately all the promised customer service when out the window. I was told I made and confirmed the purchase and if I wanted to make any changes it would be $150.00 per ticket. The price as only $188.00 per ticket. All I wanted was the proper airport not 40 miles away. They said it was the airlines who would make any changes not them. I told them I was unsatisfied and wanted some help making this right. They were rude and very arrogant saying they were right and I was wrong. I made the mistake not them. I asked for a supervisor to call. One did call twice AT 4:30 AM !! They called me in California from NY state at 7:30 their time.

I asked them to call back after 8:00am MY TIME. They didn't for a while. They called me and said they would give me $50.00 per ticket as a token of appreciation of doing business with them..... I thought. WRONG !! They cancelled my flight insurance and refunded to me, WITHOUT my approval. Then they wanted to argue with me saying they have our conversations on tape. I told them I was contacting the BBB, and FTC. I filed complaints with both and was told they are very well known for they games.

My daughter booked a flight using One Travel for a flight for June 14th. Her grandmother paid the charge which was $120 and some change. Due to a family emergency, we need to get her here quicker, so I called One Travel and explained the situation. They originally told me that the "change" to the originally airfare would be $81 dollars then all of a sudden said no it will be$ 158 dollars. I gave them my credit card information to pay the additional monies wasn’t thrilled about the additional cost but we need to get her here quickly. They told me that my card was declined; I told them that was not possible as I have plenty of money in the account to cover the charges. They then said oh it has been approved.

Gave me a confirmation number and sent my daughter an email with the changes to her itinerary. Not 24 hours later, One Travel contacted my daughter and told her that the card was declined again. Here is the kicker they have an authorization for $1 dollar on my account. I called and spoke with someone who transferred me to an eternal hold, I called back and the same thing. I have done this now 12 times (I am on hold yet again waiting to speak to a supervisor) while I was on hold, I actually went back to their site as well as the airlines site (frontier) to search the flight. I can right now at 10:30pm MDT get a ticket either through them or through Frontier directly for only $20 more than what my daughter's grandmother paid.

I called my bank to verify why they were declining the charge. They told me they did not decline anything and that there was that authorization on the account right now. This company is ridiculous impossible to get through to, there are no English speaking people to talk to which makes it even more frustrating. I am so ready to just lose the first ticket and buy one directly through frontier so we can get her out here. Anything you can do to resolve the issues this company has would be greatly appreciated.

I was told by the check-in counter that my ticket was not valid for the rest of my journey. The lady took pity on me and printed me out a paper ticket and told me not to lose it.

I got a shock of course because I paid $2300 for my round-trip ticket and very worried if I could not go back to start school. I checked my email and my phone for last minute changes but never got any. Because most legible websites such as Orbitz and Kayak would send confirmation or reminder few days before departure but I never got any and I thought it was strange. I am one of those who got tricked with the cheap ticket pricing.

Next, I thought I would give OneTravel a try again. I booked my ticket for memorial day few months back and OneTravel also took the ticket payment a few days after I booked my ticket. It is true that OneTravel is one of the websites that offer one of the cheapest flight tickets. I called in three weeks before the memorial weekend to check for changes and the automated operator mentioned of changes. I, of course, wanted to know changes so I can prepare for it. I would like to draw your attention to the research I did on the company OneTravel.com and many of them following names associated with this same entity: Travelong.com, Cheapoair.com, WKL Travel, Inc., Cheapseats.com, etc.

On 04/18/2011, I booked an international ticket on OneTravel.com’s website for the flight operated by US Airways departing from FLL-Ft Lauderdale.

I got there earlier than expected, but was prevented from check in. In claiming that I can't fly with this ticket, the supervisor at the airport said I should contact the agency for refund. That is where the frustration began. I called from the airport. After a few hours of holding over the phone, they said that I can't get a refund right away but maybe by next booking. That’s the case even when the error was on their part.

“This ticket entitled you for next flight booking with no charge.” But this option was not on my ticket. So they told me that I have to contact the agency. I didn't give up and called again asking for the manger. That’s where frustration number 2 began. They will talk nice and tell you that they are working on it in order to book you to the next flight, but they actually don't do anything. I have been placed on hold and hanged up. They lied to me and transferred me from one agent to another. And now for almost 13 days, only now do I know for real that I have been ripped off with $632.73.

Their trick is to carry the time with you and tell you they are working on it, but they actually need the time and that is good for their rules and regulation so you would give up and forget. Your on-time purchase is what they need. Anyway, you won't get your ticket or refund. Instead, you’ll get a hang up in your face or they won't pick up the phone. Their customer service is a nightmare. I had to be with my family for the holiday's, but they changed my plans with aggravation, humiliation, lose of time, and lot's of money.

New traveler and customers, watch out from the company OneTravel.com and many of them following names associated with this same entity (Travelong.com, Cheapoair.com, WKL Travel, Inc., Cheapseats.com, etc.). The old way of going to the agency to buy your self and get the ticket by hand is much more secure from all this scam behind websites ripping people off. Watch where you pay your money.

I booked 3 international tickets online on **** after paying for $4,200. It is for travel between Fort Lauderdale, FL to Bangalore, India. There were 2 stops in between, in Newark and Frankfurt. The connecting time between flights in Newark is 1 hour, 49 minutes but this is okay for connecting flights. But when I called up the airline from Fort Lauderdale to Newark, they informed me that there is no baggage agreement between my first flight which is from Fort Lauderdale to Newark and my second flight which is from Newark to Frankfurt. So my baggage will not be transferred from the first airlines to the second. Also, I need to collect my baggage in Newark and then do a fresh check in again with the next airline. Now in this scenario, by the time I will collect my baggage in Newark and go for the next check in, not even 1 hour will be left for my second flight while at least 3 hours prior check-in is requested for international travelers.

Issue 1: At any point of time during the ticket booking process, it was not indicated that re-checking will be required in Newark. The international leg of this itinerary allows 2 Check-in baggages while from Fort Lauderdale to Newark the airline informed me that I will be allowed only 1 check-in bag. The travel agency didn't inform/notified me anytime during the ticket booking process.

Issue 2: The travel agency knows that there is no agreement between two carriers and still sold an itinerary where travel is not possible. Once I will reach late for next check-in for Newark, I will not be allowed to check-in and a ticket rescheduling penalty may be charged since I will be declared as no-show.

Issue 3: My good luck is I called the airline from Fort Lauderdale to Newark for a seat assignment and they explained to me the situation. When I called the travel agent, no one responded the calls for over 1 hour. When I called on **** number, I always get a recording to leave a message and they will return call otherwise I may call on ****. Every time I called, I would leave a message and until this date, I have not received any call back. When I called **** number several times, no one responded for over 1 hour. For 3 times I was able to get connected after holding the line for 50-60 minutes. I explained to them the situation and they suggested traveling from Fort Lauderdale to Newark on an earlier flight but they asked me to pay the ticket re-scheduling fee and any fare difference for that flight.

Issue 4: Upon insisting that it is not a problem from my side but from travel agency’s side since such kind of ticket which travel is not possible cannot be sold at all, the customer service representative told me that someone will contact me within 3-5 days and rectify it. I called 3 times with 1-week intervals and received the same response every time yet I had to receive a call from the travel agency to get my ticket rectified.

Remember that calling the customer support is painful since no one picks up the calls for over an hour and sometimes even longer. I don't know if there is a maximum waiting time specified or if the company can keep the customer waiting on the phone forever. Please post this feedback and if you can help in anyway getting my ticket fixed, that will be really appreciated.

We have searched our data base and have found a suitable itinerary with the lowest price of USD $317.80. "

When I called them to inquire about my booking, they now said that the price is $377, but they would give it to me for $300. They said that they never charged my American Express card for the original booking. I checked with my American Express account and saw that Frontier did charge me and then credit back the same amount. Whenever I use my AMEX card to book a flight, I automatically get a baggage and flight insurance premium. These charges also appeared on my account due to the booking with OneTravel/Frontier/United for this flight. I followed up by calling Frontier and United to inquire about my booking and all the representatives told me that my reservation was cancelled. I don't understand how OneTravel can raise the price of a booked ticket from $189 to $377 and then tried to offer it at $300, and then cancel it at the end. Is this legal?

In doing that, I found that booking each leg of the trip one way, was the most economical. When I found the flights I wanted, I booked off the site I was on. Unfortunately, it was OneTravel. The price of the tickets and tax were clearly identified. What I didn't realize was OneTravel was going to charge me a booking fee (for something I worked on myself!). I went ahead and booked the outgoing flights and incoming flights, two different reservations. After receiving the confirmation email, I realized what happened.

I was astonished to find that they charged me an additional $124 ($68 on the outgoing and $56 on the return flight). Of course they bragged that these charges were reduced as they show a credit (a marketing ploy, they jack up the price then reduce it). I immediately called the 800#. I was on hold for over an hour. I called again the next morning and again was put on for over an hour. Finally, the third day, I was able to get through, after holding almost an hour. I complained about the fee as it did not clearly state there was a booking fee. They said the fee was because they were a 'travel agent'.

I told them they did not do anything as I did the research and booked the flight myself, not them. I don't mind paying a service fee for a benefit I receive, but I did all the research myself. I don't even know how I ended up on OneTravel website. They refused to credit me and I told them they were thieves and that I will share my story and pass the word to not book any travel arrangements with OneTravel. So, here is my story. The One Travel employee insisted that the bank was wrong and they never entered it in. I asked for a refund and they said they would charge a fee. I then proceeded to ask how could they charge a fee for a refund if the transaction never went through and no tickets we ever in my possession. They just ran around in circles after this.

My boyfriend then called them and asked to speak with the supervisor who, after a very lengthy phone call, agreed to give me the refund. On June 26, I booked a reservation and canceled after I realized I made a reservation for the wrong date. Immediately, I realized this and called to make new reservations. I had no idea I would be on the phone for approximately one hour! When the agent came on the phone, I could barely understand him, but we managed to make the new reservation. Because of the language barrier, it took approximately forty-five minutes to make the new reservations.

I inquired about a refund for the first reservation and was told it would take three to twelve weeks for a refund. I was shocked! It takes them one day to receive their money but three to twelve weeks to get a refund? Needless to say, I was not happy. Then I found out I would be charged one hundred dollars for the first cancellation fee! I explained to the agent that it was less than two hours since I made the first reservation (one hour of waiting on the phone to get an agent). To cancel the reservation, I had to submit a response via the internet with"yes" to each email from Onetravel. This was a crazy paper of emails!

I called immediately to get another agent who would help me get a refund for the first reservation. I dare not even cancel the second reservation in fear of losing my money I had submitted to the company with my debit card. The second agent did not speak English well and reassured me I would get my money refunded within three to ten days. The time factor for a refund was still not acceptable.

I called my bank, and the bank teller stated there was nothing they could do since I had used a debit card. She stated I would have to contact the travel agent and request the pending transaction to be canceled.

Three days and hours of phone calls, I finally reached the billing department and spoke with a lady named Tracy. She had very good English. Tracy listened to my experience and frustration in trying to get through to Onetravel as well as get a refund. We agreed to place a conference call to Chase Bank, and the pending charges were dropped as well as the bank fees that occurred because of the charges from Onetravel.

Onetravel did drop the one hundred dollar cancellation fee after I complained. If I did not speak to Tracy, I feel I would either not have received a refund or the refund would not be credited to my account for weeks. I could have directly called United Airlines and booked my flight and approximately the same amount without the headache, frustration and debit card issues.

I did state to Tracy from the billing department at one point that I felt the business was a fraud. I will never book another reservation with this company again!

Please inform the public of this company and let them know you're not really saving money, if you consider the time you spend on the phone, the poor English-speaking agents who take forever to book your reservation, and the loss of money you may incur!

We booked flights for round trip from Marquette to L.A. in November for spring vacation. About a week before we were to leave, we were notified the AA flight from Milwaukee to Marquette had been cancelled. They changed our flight to this: L.A. to Denver, Denver to Milwaukee, Milwaukee to Chicago, Chicago to Traverse City, and Traverse City to Marquette. No way we said we were traveling with children and we knew that it wasn't going to happen with ½ hr between flights. One Travel nicely said they would fix it. They could sell us tickets on Delta from L.A. to Minneapolis and from Minneapolis to Marquette and they would get a refund back from the other airlines.

We never got the refund. I have 2 emails saying we would get the refund. Our request has been sent to "priority customer service" (I believe this is the code for circular file). Now they say the airlines couldn't see a conflict, so they are not refunding. Or, they have told us we are being refunded but it hasn't been processed. Every time I call, it’s a different story. We never would have booked with them in the first place. We thought we were on an American Airline’s site but we’re duped into their mirror site. They owe us $700. I hope their CEO has a bad day on the golf course and the dry cleaners ruin his $2000 suit and his BMW 7 series gets stolen in Mexico. These people sure work hard for their money!

I need to change a flight due to sudden military obligations, so when I called to change my flights, OneTravel said it would cost $3,000. The original ticket was $1,700. I cannot afford this, so I didn't make the change. Then I attempted to rework my schedule and asked if I could miss part of my flight because it would only cost me $500. But the agency told me they would cancel my flight home if I did that. So i gave up that. The agency told me it was the airline's fault, but when I called the airline, the airline said it's the agency's.

Every time I called either of these agencies, I was on the phone on hold for an hour at a time. As it turned out, a brand-new ticket from a different airline was cheaper than changing my existing ticket. So I did that. I called OneTravel back and requested to change the name of the traveler on my old ticket since I couldn't afford to change my travel dates. I thought I could give my ticket to a friend; however, that was not allowed either. They should have some kind of protection for military personnel who need more flexible travel arrangements. I paid for the insurance, only to find out it is only good for medical reasons.

I purchased airline tickets for Rio De Janeiro Brazil from One Travel.Com. The tickets for my daughter and I were purchased online May 1, 2010. The price of the tickets including insurance were $740.00 US Dollars. My daughter is a Foreign Exchange Student in Santiago Chile. I purchased tickets for the trip to Chile with a reputable company (American Airlines). However, I decided to surprise my daughter for her 22nd Birthday with a trip to Brazil. The only mistake that I made was to choose One Travel.Com for the purchase of the tickets to Brazil from Santiago Chile.

One Travel.Com could not be reached on 5-8-2010, when my daughter and I were not allowed to board the flight to Brazil from Chile. We were not allowed to board the flight due to not having a Visa for Brazil. I spoke to a representative of One Travel on 5-1-2010, concerning Credit Card Verification and seating arrangements on the flight to Brazil. At that time, I asked the representative if everything was okay for the trip. The representative stated that everything was in order. The only thing that is in order is One Travels Accounting Department. They took my $740.00 US Dollars and told me that they could not help me.

A representative by the name of Julius informed me that I needed to get in contact with the airlines to see what sort of compromises could be made in regards to our my dilemma. He also suggested that I call immediately as the tickets were still open. I immediately made several attempts to contact the airline with the number that Julius provided, however the number was invalid. I eventually did a Google search to find a number for Pluna Airlines. After several attempts, I eventually was able to contact a representative from the information department. I spoke with a gentleman and he was unable to help me. However, he did notify that the flights from Montevideo, Uruguay to Brazil had been cancelled for the day.

No one from One Travel did not give me any notification or attempt to even contact me. Be mindful, I am on vacation in Santiago, Chile trying to rectify a dilemma by use of Skype and also international phone calls. The end result is that an email was sent to One Travel.com, my United States Senator, describing my concern and dissatisfaction with One Travel.com and its policies. Be weary! Do not spend your time or hard earned money with companies that you cannot contact in the event of dilemma or circumstances as stated above. On their webpage, it states that their customer service is 24/7. If you think that it is 24/7 try contacting the various numbers. A horrible vacation and a lost of 740.00 USD.

I called One Travel to book the tickets (2) at $188 and after holding for 19 minutes, I was disconnected from Gloria. I called back and Sheila told me (after holding once again) that the "airline raised the rate" and there was nothing she could do, but "would I like to book the new rate?". This is not an honorable way to do business, bait and switch perhaps? I subsequently found out that more reputable sites like Air Canada tells you on their site that the customer has "ten minutes" to confirm, so the customer knows their limitations.

One Travel does nothing of the sort and should honor their quoted rate, otherwise, what's the point of using their One Travel's site for any type of travel booking? Do quoted rates mean nothing with OneTravel.com? I lost the possibility of booking a less expensive flight than ($122) with another online agent.

We booked tickets online for my wife. When the confirm screen came back, my wife's middle name was missing. I called the customer service immediately. I was told by the agent Edwin that the system he works with doesn't handle the middle name. I told him TSA and airlines require the name match the passport. The agent told me there was no problem, and that I could call the airline to verify it. I called the airline. I was told the middle name or initial is needed.

Again, I called OneTravel back and talked with a different agent. Again, I was told the middle name is not required. I insisted we need the middle name be on the ticket, and I won't pay for the ticket if there is no middle name on it. He blamed me for not putting it in. He said the ticket has been issued, and he couldn’t change it. I asked for the ticket number since the ticket has been issued already. He said he did not understand why I need the ticket number, and he would send to me in a few days. I told him again I won't pay it if there is no middle name on the ticket. The agent told me he can re-book the ticket for me, but he will charge me $190. He also said the price I booked for is gone. There is a new price (of course much higher) for the ticket I had booked. I booked a ticket for visiting my family on Christmas from the 24th of December to the 2nd of January 2010. I received an email and a call from OneTravel stating that my returning flight had to be re-scheduled. The reason was there was overbooking on the flight. When I complained saying that if there is overbooking, I will fight for my ticket, they stated that actually the problem was due to the rare system of British Airways in issuing tickets. I will of course inform BA of this statement. The options are to cancel my ticket and pay $1,500 for the new tickets, or re-schedule to the 1st of January for the same price. I decided that I would try to re-arrange the trip that I had with my family arriving back in Madrid the 1st of January. I asked for a compensation. The compensation I was offered was the $40 of the insurance. I asked the lady if I would keep the insurance, she told me no. That is not a compensation, that is cancelling my insurance contract. Then she offered me $50 compensation. I have not received such amount yet.

After having much trouble trying to re-schedule my Christmas plans with my family because of the change, everything went down and I realized I cannot make it anymore because my trip with my family could not be re-scheduled, so my trip to Madrid from Houston was useless. In order to explain this to OneTravel, I have been, literally, 3 hours of the phone. "I will transfer you", "please give me two minutes" are some of the statements, after which I would wait 20, 30, 40 or 50 minutes on the phone listening to the advertisement of their new cool prices and saying "Sorry for the delay." (This they say even if you call for one minute, so it is certainly a system of the company to make customers wait and surrender.)

They told me that I needed to speak with a specific person and that she will be at work soon. I called and called and nobody gets the phone. I was told that the person I needed to speak to would be in the office at 4am. I called at 6am and they told me that I needed to call in one hour because that department is closed until 7:30am (?). When I told the guy that the department can't be closed because the person that I was calling was supposed to be there by 4am, the guy started losing his temper and speaking up. I am really getting desperate. $1,000 is not something I can afford to pay for nothing.

I then tried two more of the other quotes with the same identical responses. Thus, I decided to phone the company and find out how much the flight would cost, and was told it would run me $550+. I believe this is a true "bait and switch" approach, and a real scam or fraudulant approach to selling trips. The other even more disturbing fact is that you do not get confirmed seating. They do not advertise this. If you are traveling, even with one more person, there are no guarantees that you will sit together or get a decent seat. The airline at check-in at the airport will assign you what they have. Customer service has an average 20 minutes wait and have told me three different stories in less than 12 hours. The confirmation numbers never had any balance on it according to Westjet so I keep calling OneTravel to get the correct one. -Finally after months of confusion a manager agreed to just give my my credit balance back on my credit card which I used to purchase the flights. He guaranteed I would get it within 7 days. After waiting 1 mth I still have not received the credit balance. -I call back again and now the billing department said Westjet should be the one to send me a cheque. (that's ridiculous, no airline sends out cheques) -I call again, billing department said they will call me back because they have to track down my credit balance. -I call again, billing department said I will get my $$ on my credit card in 7 days. -I call again, nothing has happened and the agents still do not know what's happening and I am suppose to get a callback. (OneTravel agents never actually call anyone back)

I declined their offer. They said that my credit card would not be billed for the flights or service charges. As of now there is still a $128 charge to American Airlines on my card. We will wait and see if they come off. If they do not I am going to look into taking legal action as there seems to be no shortage of proof that this website is committing fraud on a regular basis.

This company is very, very bad. I paid more money with Asiana Airlines but more safe and more honest.

I called my card company and they indicated that they approved the first leg of the trip but had put a hold on the second half because of the foreign language that was used on the second part. After clearing that up, I gave the card company the OK the charge. I then called OneTravel back and was told that the price of the ticket had increased by $147. I wasn't happy about it but reluctantly agreed to increased charge. I was told that I would receive a confirmation phone call within 2 hours (this was at 9AM). No call was rec'd. The same day, I called at 6pm PST and asked what had happened to my confirmation. The young man I spoke with apologized profusely and assured me that HE would call me back with the confirmation within the hour. NO CALL. I'm sure that my calls are routed through India because each representative speaks with a heavy accent and is very hard to understand. This time the young man (whose name I never did understand) assured me that an email confirmation message would be sent tomorrow morning.

When we arrived (the airport is over an hour away) to check in we were told that flight left at 4:00pm not 8:20pm as stated on the e-ticket and she had missed it. Also, it was not a NON-STOP flight, there was a 4 hour lay-over in detroit of all places. There was never a non-stop flight to LA. The only reason i was letting her fly to LA was because of the non-stop flight. Spirit was willing to book her on their flight the next day but she had to get there at 1:00om on MONDAY. There was no way i could get her there, I work. We called OneTravel and were told they have no way of knowing there was a last minute change. Last minute change? There was NEVER a flight like that!!!! Now, after reading this site, I'm wondering what extra charges they are going to charge us for this change in flight. A few days after I purchased the tickets, I noticed on my bank record that the ticket price charged from One Travel was $588 (about $100 above what I authorized). Further more, a new, revised confirmation was sent to me for 2 tickets for Orlando, FL to Cleveland, Ohio.

When I contacted One Travel about the over charge and changed itinerary, they stated that someone had called to change the flights and there had been a fee pertaining to the change (hence the $100 overage). When I asked who had called to do this (since I had not authorized this), they were not able to tell me any information nor did they change back my itinerary to the original flight plan I need.

Now I am stuck with flights that cannot be used for my travel needs. I am not even sure if they are legitimate flights. I have attempted to contact Travel One several times to resolve this issue. Each time, the response has been the same with no resolution to help fix my situation.

I have saved months for the CA to ID trip. It is an important trip that affects other travel plans in a detrimental way. The money that I have been frauded cannot be replaced, and I cannot afford to pay for a second set of tickets. This event has brought both emotional and financial hardship to myself and my family.

We booked seats for a flight from Cartagena, Colombia, to Los Angeles, CA, and return. The agent at One Travel--also doing business as Cheap Seats--told us after we had booked they couldn't issue electronic tickets because the flight originated in Cartagena, Colombia, and that the tickets could only be sent to me by registered mail at an address in the USA. The company ultimately agreed to send the tickets to my sister who was to send them to us in Panama. The tickets were subsequently lost in the mail. When we realized the tickets had been lost in the mail, we contacted One Travel (Cheap Seats) and told them the problem. They said they could do nothing to help us since they had already paid Taca Airlines for the tickets and suggested we contact Taca (LACSA). When we spoke with a supervisor at Taca's office in Bogota, Colombia, he was sympathetic and said we could be given compensation in the form of tickets to anywhere Taca flies for an equal value. At that point we canceled our reservations on the flights from Cartagena to Los Angeles and return. We then booked flights on another airline from Cartagena to Miami for $1856.

When we told One Travel, the personnel there made no attempt to intercede for us with Taca but simply washed their hands of the entire matter. We believe One Travel has an obligation to its customers to assure they receive fair and just treatment from the airlines with whom One Travel books flights. Obviously, Taca Airlines has been totally uncooperative in this incident, but, since Taca is a foreign corporation, we're not sure sure. But we do believe One Travel has an obligation to assist us in obtaining a refund for that flight.

As a result of the failure of One Travel and Taca to recognize our claim, we had to book with another airline to get from Cartagena and back again. The replacement tickets cost us $1864.

I called the hotel and they had no record of a request from onetravel.com. Fortunately they had a room at the same price. My boyfriend and I were looking for a rental car to drive from Paris to Dresden with a one-way drop off (some European companies won't let you do this). I found a good rate with one-travel that almost seemed to good. We picked up the car (from SixT Car) and dropped off the in Dresden car seemingly with no problems. A week later I checked my American Express bill and found out that SixT car had charged me over 200 Euros more than the booking rate guaranteed by onetravel. Apparently, Onetravel did not include the one-way drop off in the amount they confirmed the booking for. However, all other quotes from other rental car companies listed on the onetravel site when i did the initial check included this fee.

I even called onetravel before leaving to make sure the rate had no secret caveats and was assured that onetravel will honor the rate. Upon complaining, I received this email from the rude customer complaints woman: Dear Customer, Received your fax requesting a refund for drop charges. Drop charges are not included in the price. You were also advised on your confirmation to to contact the car rental company directly for detailed rules. Some restrictions may apply, therefore no refund is warranted.

Umm - excuse me - how and in what planet is it ethical for a company to confirm a booking for less than half than the actual cost and then say it's my fault. I also called SixT car before leaving and they had no record of the booking because Onetravel only releases their reservations right before. I will never ever use them again and I encourage everyone to avoid them - particularly for car rentals. Since being swindled by them, I have heard several other nightmare stories about their deceptive business practices. The cheap price they quote - is not the price you'll get. Beware!!

I am a phD student on a very limited budget. Their deceptive business practices cost me over 200 euros - maybe not a lot to most people - but a huge chunk of my monthly budget.

But there was a slightly higher priced fare, so I elected to take that and re-filled out the required passenger information. Then this fare disappeared too.

I called them and the agent found another good fare, took down all the passenger info, and then that fare disappeared too. The next day, their tantalizing fare was showing up on travel search engines again, so I tried the website one more time and once again, the fare was no longer available.

I would like an apology and compensation from OneTravel of Las Vegas, Nevada, for OneTravel’s negligence which caused financial loss and anxiety to my son, Evan, and his friend, John, who had confirmed US Airways tickets for March 17, 2006, from Dayton, Ohio, to Newark, NJ, through OneTravel. OneTravel cancelled these tickets even though OneTravel had issued us an email confirmation for these tickets.

When I called on March 17, 2006, to ask why the tickets had been cancelled, I was given a laundry list of excuses. I was told that the air tickets had gone up in price and OneTravel tried to notify me of the change in price but could not reach me by phone. OneTravel later admitted the phone number mistake was theirs. I asked why I wasn’t contacted by email, since they did contacted me by email later to confirm that I had the tickets. OneTravel did not know why. I also asked why I should pay an additional charge for air tickets after I already had a confirmed ticket price.

The comparison I used was buying a car on Friday and then finding out when you picked it up on Monday that the price had increased. I was told that I should have called OneTravel by March 8, 2006, because my last name on the credit card is different than the travelers. Although no one ever mentioned this, I did talk to OneTravel on March 8, 2006, to confirm the credit card and the trip. Then I was told that the trip is not official until I receive an email itinerary. I told OneTravel that I DID receive the confirmation just after my March 8, 2006, phone conversation with their representative. I read the confirmation number to them. I was told again that I should have called and confirmed my purchase.

At this point, I read the last two lines of my itinerary statement from OneTravel, which says, “IF WE DO NOT HEAR FROM YOU WITHIN 24 HOURS IT WILL BE UNDERSTOOD THAT YOUR ITINERARY AND NAMES ARE CORRECT. THANK YOU.” (Emphasis theirs) I was on the phone with OneTravel representatives for 76 minutes and 59 seconds demanding that air tickets for my son and friend so they could fly to the New York City area in a timely manner. By the time the representative agreed to put the two young men on a 5 pm plane (the noon flight had already left) at additional cost to me, the young men had left the airport for a bus terminal.

They now face a 16-hour, one-way bus ride rather than an air flight to the New York City area. Their plans for this evening in New York City are ruined. I would like compensation for the financial and time loss as well as the inconvenience and anxiety caused by the ineptitude of OneTravel.
