    Think the company is committing fraud. They are posting hotels that are not actual available like the inn at General Lee in Gettysburg. You're posting rooms that are not available. They took my credit card numbers and claim my card was denied. Nothing is wrong with my card. It is denied because they are frauding people because they know there isn't any rooms available for the dates I needed. This is false advertisement.

    Unfortunately I decided not to go with the hotel I booked online, as it did not offer what I needed. I traveled to Oklahoma from Texas to take my little brothers to the Tulsa zoo. I thought staying in a hotel together for the weekend would be fun. They wanted a hotel with a swimming pool to play in, so I put that in my search. When I booked online I thought I was getting a great deal. However, when I arrived at the hotel I was informed the pool would not be open until Memorial Day. I asked the front desk clerk to cancel my reservation, so that I would be allowed to find another hotel that suited my needs. He did, and I honestly thought it was the end of the transaction.

    I was glancing at an email from HotelPanner, which prompted me to check my bank account. Made me realize I never got refunded for a hotel I literally never stayed at. How can I be charged for a service I never actually received? That seems like very poor customer service to me, and I feel very taken advantage of. Is there nothing that can be done to credit back my account? I have paperwork showing the desk clerk canceled my room for both nights and even a receipt showing I stayed somewhere else entirely.

    I will never use HotelPlanner again. I made a reservation on March 7th for a hotel in DC. I was charged on March 8th. I called the hotel yesterday (March 28th) to ask about a parking pass, and was notified that my booking was cancelled with NO NOTICE from HotelPlanner and was also charged the full amount with NO REFUND. I have been trying to get in touch with someone about this and have been given the absolute runaround. I will never use this service again. I am completely dissatisfied and demand my refund.

    Had an awful experience with this company over the weekend. They put me in a smoking room when I requested non-smoking. I have 2 small children and one has breathing problems. When I called and requested they fix the problem, they advised I check out of the hotel. By that time it was after 11 pm at night and we had been driving all day. The hotel had no nonsmoking rooms available. We ended up staying. The room had roaches and burn holes in the blankets. This company did NOTHING to rectify the situation. Boo to you hotel planner.

    I did not make this reservation. Unfortunately my 17 year old daughter falsely made the reservation using my credit card thinking her and her friends could pay cash for the room once going out of town and thus trying to do all this behind my back. I caught it however once seeing the email from HotelPlanner.com and then a booking confirmation in my email a few days later. Once I found out what was going on and what credit card was used and that my daughter had done this without my permission or knowledge I immediately called customer service to try to correct the situation and ask for a refund due to the circumstances and false pretense in which this has happened. The service representative (Skye) had no empathy for the problem and made no attempt to offer some kind of solution so I requested to speak to a supervisor in hopes someone could understand and be helpful.

    However the supervisor I had to talk to (Eujean) was even more rude and very disrespectful to me. She insulted my parenting skills, my business skills for keeping up with my finances and such and then she proceeded hang up on me while I was still talking to her. I thought this to be very unprofessional and lacked complete respect for customer service and satisfaction. Both of these representatives need additional training and knowledge of how to communicate with customers, show empathy and actually do their job to provide customers solutions that are reasonable even if it mean having to take extra steps to do their job. I was on the call for over 45 minutes and in tears and I had never even heard of this company before any of this had happened and yet they kicked me off the phone lines because it was not what they wanted to deal with that evening.

    As the recent blizzard headed our way, making it likely our power would go out, I made a reservation at the Holiday Inn Express in Silver Spring, MD after inquiring whether they had a backup generator. When we arrived, we were told they had no generator and couldn't guarantee hot food, wi-fi, or cable TV because of the weather. The lobby and room of the hotel were cold. We told the manager we wanted to cancel and find a hotel with a generator. The manager was obliging and cancelled our reservation, but said I'd have to work with Hotel Planner to get a refund.

    I contacted Hotel Planner and received prompt, courteous, service from Client Services Specialist Reginette ** and from another person (whose name I unfortunately didn't get). They inquired carefully into the facts and resolved the matter quickly and fairly. I appreciate their great service and plan to use Hotel Planner again in the future. (Note: I tried but I am unable to provide the online receipt I received from Hotel Planner, which was delivered by email.)

    We signed on with HotelPlanner.com as a hotel and began to receive leads from HotelPlanner.com. The representative at HotelPlanner for our Hotel assigned ~50 clients as having booked with us. We reached out to those leads and there was no response from any of them via phone or e-mail, to the point where it almost seems that the leads are fake. The HotelPlanner representative marked us as the hotel that "booked" the leads, even though we did not book them. We are now receiving e-mails and phone calls on a regular basis asking for verification and commission for reservations that we did not book.

    HotelPlanner has not contacted the client to verify where they stayed, and has simply assigned the leads to us. I have asked the account representative repeatedly to remove us from the constant e-mails and follow-up calls regarding the commission they claim that they are owed for clients that did not book with us. I am told that the system automatically sends the mails and causes the representatives to call me on the phone and that there is nothing they can do to stop the harassment. We have discontinued our listing with HotelPlanner.com, but continue to be contacted. Do not sign up with HotelPlanner.com. They will "assign" you bookings and try to charge you fraudulently for them.

    We had a group of 8 international guests coming in early December whose trip was suddenly cancelled. We had already booked and paid for the rooms through HotelPlanner's group reservations. The rate we got made the reservations non refundable which was going to mean we had to swallow a lot of money on those unused rooms. I emailed hotelplanner about our predicament and Reginette came to the rescue. She took care of everything so quickly and was even able to help us cancel the prepaid reservation without penalty.

    I've been using hotelplanner for about two years and I always rave about them to anyone I know who plans group travel. I will continue to recommend them to any and every person who will listen. It's really rare to find the kind of customer service I get from their representatives. I wish all of my travel contacts were as friendly and competent!     This is the first time I've used HotelPlanner. Very user friendly and immediate confirmation email. Few days after I made my reservation, I had to make a cancellation of one of my nights. I couldn't find a tab for that type of entry only "view/cancel". Honestly, I was a little frustrated I could not make my change. I sent an email asking them how I could make the change online, gave them my new dates. Within minutes I received a confirmation email with my changes.     12 hours after making a reservation for a trip I realized I needed to cancel. I was unable to do it on the link from the confirmation. I called the contact # and my call was returned by Regina, very promptly. She gave me the hotel's # to cancel and they said they couldn't do it. The hotel gave me a # to call for HotelPlanner. My call was again promptly returned by Regina. She initiated a conference call with hotel mgmt. They still said there was nothing they could do, and that perhaps I should try disputing the charge with my CC company.

    Later Regina called me a 3rd time saying she too recommended going the dispute route, but that she also would get in touch with a contact she had at the hotel's corporate office. Shortly after she sent me an e-mail saying the corporate contact had advised the hotel to cancel my reservation and refund my charges. As this was a reservation for 7 nights, it was quite a bit of $. I'm thrilled with the personal attention given to this matter, and look forward to booking with HotelPlanner in the near future!

    I was told at checkout this morning that my room cost was $235.12 and I would receive a receipt in my e-mail. I did not receive a receipt and when I called the establishment this evening I was told that I should not have been informed of the room price or promised a receipt since I had booked the hotel through an outside agency and the establishment did not know what I had paid. He told me the early morning person must have made up the cost of the room. My concern was the difference in price between what she said the room cost was and the price I paid through Hotel Planner. Could this discrepancy be explained to me?

We received your complaint in regards to your inquiry below regarding an early checkout for your reservation and on your behalf I reached out to the individual reservations department handling your reservation who was able to get in contact with the hotel for me and speak with the General Manger at the hotel per my notifications that due to a change of plans in your schedule you were requesting to check out one day earlier and if they would as a courtesy waive the cancellation policy to refund you for the one night of your reservation unused, and the hotel agreed to waive the cancellation penalty outlined in your reservation receipt.

    You have been provided a refund amounting for one night of your reservation unused that will be returned back to the original form of payment used at the time of booking and it usually takes between 3 - 7 business days for the funds to be allocated back to your account.

    Please note that we do apologize to you for any confusion that ensued as HotelPlanner is willing to provide a refund for any client's reservation as long as we have the authorization from the hotels management team giving our billing department the permission to refund you for your reservation.

    I was disappointed when I had booked my hotel room for my two dogs and I to find out at check in that they actually do charge extra for pets despite the deceiving information that hotelplanner.com had posted. Hotelplanner.com had a nice set up that showed all the nearby hotels that accepted pets and showed the fees associated with them... so I thought. I booked a hotel that said "pets accepted" and did not have a charge next to it when all other hotels that did charge stated it clearly on this website. The hotel was $100 and then $25 per pet so when I budgeted for $100 I was surprised and dissatisfied when I had to increase my budget by $50. There were nicer hotels at a better rate for this price and had hotelplanner.com clearly stated the fee for pets (as they did for the other hotels) I would have not booked the hotel that we ended up staying at.

    I had to change a reservation made online, as I only needed to stay at a hotel 2 days vs. 7 (originally booked). I was afraid to cancel the entire booking and start over, so I sent an email. Within an hour or two, I received an email back from Reginette giving me the details of the change, and sending the confirmation of the change. It was so easy to work with them.     I had to book an extended hotel stay for work so I was put in touch with Britta who not only got me quotes for area hotels but really went the extra mile to make sure I got booked in properly. The website also had some helpful hints regarding costs (no tax for a long term stay) which I wouldn't have known to ask about it if I hadn't seen it on the website.     I booked a hotel reservation through this site. The next month, I was billed by hotelplanner.com $154 for a $99 room. The following month, I was billed by the hotel an addition $113 for the same room. I was unable to contact ANYONE at hotelplanner.com to get an answer about the double charges and the hotel was also unable to contact them. End result, I was only refunded the $113 charge by the hotel. Call the hotel directly - don't use this site.

    Although helpful to be able to find hotels within a budget, I had a hotel contact me with an agreement that I had not asked for. When I contacted the hotel about it, they told me that Hotel Planner said they had spoken to me and I agreed to booking with them. Hotel Planner never spoke to me about agreeing on anything.     I called this third party under the impression that I was contacting the hotel directly. When I suspected that I had called a third party, I informed them that I didn't want to deal with a third party and that I had thought I called the hotel directly. They informed me that I had, in fact, contacted the hotel, and that there was nothing to worry about. The woman was one of the nicest people I have ever dealt with, and I am so sorry to do this, but I cannot take lying. They should not have led me on to believe I was speaking directly to the hotel. They should have told me they were a third party. When I called back after realizing what I had done, I was told I could cancel but would not get my money back.     I called twice within a 48-hour period to confirm my booking since the hotel had no knowledge of my booking. I was assured both times that the booking was solid and not to worry since there's sometimes a delay of 48 hours before the hotel is notified of the booking. The agent said they'd call back with more details. I never received a return call.

    On the third day, I contacted the hotel once again and still no knowledge of the booking, so I called HotelPlanner.com once again. This time I was told that the booking was cancelled. I had never cancelled so I asked why. The agent had absolutely no information. She couldn't even find me in their computer and yet my credit card was charged $1,650 for which I'm now disputing through the bank. Ended up booking through hotels.com and the hotel had my booking confirmed with minutes.

    I made a reservation for a room in Massena, New York at the Super 8 for May 21-24 that required I contact them by May 19th if I wanted to change or cancel my reservation without fees. I never received an email confirmation but had the confirmation # and the page saved on my computer so didn't worry about it. On May 15th I cancelled the first of the three nights I had reserved. I did this twice; first by calling the hotel which directed me to HotelPlanners.com phone number and then by calling the HotelPlanners.com phone number. I spoke to an agent who processed the change. She confirmed that I would be able to do so without fees, indicated I would receive an $88 credit on my credit card, and said that I would receive an email showing the change. Since I never received the original email confirmation # I asked for the new confirmation #. She responded that the number would remain the same and she had made the change.

    Before I left on my trip I had realized that I hadn't received the email (again) and so I emailed requesting they send it. When I received the email on the 17th it was the original reservation, not the revised one. I emailed back (still well within the "must cancel before the 19th" due date), indicated their mistake and requested the email showing May 22-24th, not the 21-24th. I emailed the specifics of my change and went about preparing for my trip. On the 21st before boarding my plane I check my email and opened up a message that said I needed to call them and no such cancellation existed so I would be charged.

    I called and told the woman about the problem to no avail. She just said the same thing over and over, "We have no record of your cancellation." Really. What was the email I sent? She wouldn't budge. I had to board the plane and told her I'd be calling back when I got to my destination and wanted to talk to a manager and that they'd better fix it. She hung up and rang security. What? It is their mistake. I called and I have it in writing and they have stolen my money. I want it back. When I got to the hotel on the 22nd they had me listed as a "no show" for the first night and I was charged for it. I told the guy at the counter what happened and since it was he I called to cancel first and who sent me back to HotelPlanners.com I thought he might help. No such luck. He just said they already charged me and that HotelPlanner never contacted their hotel about my cancellation.

When I spoke with rep and afterwards, the supervisor, I was told that in their Terms and Conditions for using credit cards, everything was in USD. I pointed out that on the HotelPlanner.com website, on the top right hand side, it was very clear that the currency was Canadian Dollars (C) and it even included the Canadian Flag. When I clicked on the "C", it took me to the list of Currencies and it showed me the CAD (Canadian Dollars). Now, this is FALSE ADVERTISING. I suggest that the company corrects its website info and makes it CLEAR that it is USD (US Dollars) which is true.

    I booked a room online, my money was taken out in seconds. I called the hotel that this company booked for me and they said HotelPlanner.com overbooked and we DO NOT have a reservation!!! I called HotelPlanner.com to tell them about their mistake. I needed my money refunded ASAP to make another reservation and they said it would take 5-7 business days. This was their mistake and now they have my money and I couldn't make another reservation because I'm on a strict budget. Horrible customer service especially since it was their fault.     Hotel Planner has resolved an issue I had earlier in the year. They contacted me quickly after my complaint to resolve my issue. The lady's name was ***. They could not refund me as I had booked my reservation on line instead of over the phone with one of their reps. They offered me a gift certificate off my next booking. The only part of this that was not fun was actually booking the next trip with them. I could not go through their reservation dept specifically because of the gift certificate. I had to send all my info to them via email and then wait for them to contact me back with a confirmation. Then another phone call was required for the credit card info. We also had email issues where once the reservation was booked, *** could not email me a confirmation so she ended up running to a Fedex store to fax a copy of it to me. What a crazy experience!     I made a reservation with HotelPlanner.com for the first time. It will be my LAST. I made a reservation on Jan 23 for 1 night, paid for the room ($103.25) through the site. I got to the hotel and to my surprise the hotel DIDN"T have a room booked & paid for at all! I even showed them the confirmation number...nothing. So at this point I'm thinking I made a reservation on a false site!!! In order to get the room I had to pay AGAIN, another $103.25. I review my bank account because it showed less money in it than I know I had, and to my surprise I had been debited $103.25 on Jan 24th & again on Jan 26th to the same hotel. I contacted the hotel and they stated I only paid them and that is the only payment they have received. Where did the other $103.25 go to???

    I have tried to contact every number I can find for the site, however no one has returned any of my calls. I have even emailed the Customer Service Representative Carlos ** with no reply. Every time I call an automatic voice comes on the line and said they are all business leave a message. Why?? They don't return your calls. I work in customer service as well and if I was to not return a call, my clients would be outraged.

    All I want is my $103.25 put back on my bank account. I stayed one night at Sleep Inn in Louisville, KY. You can call them to confirm this, and that they charged me again for a paid room, which I paid on this site. The reason I am so upset is, if I want my money back I have cancel my credit/debit card (which I pay a lot of things with auto pay that are all set up) and I would have to get in touch with everyone to change it. When it would be much simpler if they would refund my $103.25. Maybe this will get a reply. Nothing else works with trying to contact these people.

    On May 28, 2014, the Associate Pastor at our Church, made a reservation through www.hotelplanner.com for 8 rooms at the Hampton Inn located at 161 Spring St. NW, Atlanta, GA on Jan. 2-4, 2015. Each of the rooms had two queen beds and cost $143.65/night which totaled $287.30 for the two nights we were staying. We paid the entire amount of $2424.80 (which included taxes and service fees) in order to reserve these rooms and it was confirmed as far as we were concerned. There was some discrepancy later about the taxes which I believe we sent additional money although we never received any documentation from you concerning that.

    Figuring everything was accounted for, I did not seek additional confirmation on the details of our stay until the day of the trip. In fact, I would not have even called the hotel at all except I remembered that the previous year, there was some confusion about another person reserving the rooms and me leading the trip so I called just to verify we wouldn’t have any hiccups. This call to Hampton Inn was placed at 9:48am (CST). During our conversation, the hotel informed me that only 3 (of the 8 reserved) rooms were actually reserved. After inquiring what happened to the other 5 rooms, Hampton Inn directed me to hotelplanner.com since the reservations were made through them.

    Hampton Inn had mistakenly identified the rooms as booked through expedia.com but after examining my emails, I correctly called the customer service department at hotelplanner.com. This first call was made at 10:04am (CST). I cannot remember the names of the associates - however they were not very helpful. All they could say was that only 3 of the 8 rooms were in fact reserved, and they did not know what happened to the other five. After getting disconnected (or hung up on), I called our Asst. Pastor to see if he could remember any changes to our reservation. He did not. Our Asst. Pastor wife works in the hotel industry and so proceeded to make some calls on our behalf to see if she could get to the bottom of the situation. After extended holds, waits, and conversations with both hotelplanner.com and Hampton Inn, she seemed to have rectified the situation.

    Basically she had spoken to Xavier (at hotelplanner.com) and Cara (manager at Hampton Inn), and Xavier had told her that he would call Hampton Inn and make sure we got our rooms back. He told her to call the hotel back in 30 minutes or so and everything should be fixed. Feeling confident things were finally resolved, I got our group together, loaded up the buses, and we headed to Atlanta.

    At 1:30pm, I called the Hampton Inn to verify the situation was resolved and they informed me that they had not received a phone call from Xavier, or anyone else from hotelplanner.com, and we still only had three rooms reserved. At this point I called hotelplanner.com again to see what had happened. I called three times at 1:35pm (23 minute call then disconnected), 1:59pm (32 minute call then disconnected), and 2:33pm (10 minute call), and was informed during these conversations that 5 of our 8 rooms had been cancelled. Each representative stressed that reservations cannot be cancelled except by the one who placed the reservations. However they could not give me the name of who cancelled the reservations.

    Why would I continue to call and spend hours of my time and effort to cancel rooms which I need? I was literally driving to the destination and I, or someone, would cancel the reservations for rooms which we desperately need? It makes no sense! However this was the story hotelplanner.com was selling me. Exhausted, stressed, and minutes from Atlanta, I finally agreed, with hotelplanner.com that there was nothing they could do for me so I resorted to calling the hotel myself to book additional rooms.

    Before I hung up, I did verify that we would receive the refund for the 5 cancelled rooms, which amounted to around $1700. I cannot remember the actual figures because I was on a bus and completely exhausted over the situation. At this point I called Cara at Hampton Inn and reserved 5 additional rooms. The only rooms they had available were single full-size bed rooms, which cost $159/night plus $12.72 state tax plus $12.72 occupancy tax, which amounted to $368.88 per room for our stay. Therefore not only were our rooms smaller, but they cost an additional $81.58 per room ($368.88-$287.30). So for the five additional rooms we paid an extra $407.90. After coming back from the trip I checked with Asst. Pastor and he did receive confirmation that the rooms were canceled, however there was no indication that the refund was processed or will be processed.

    I had a chance to discuss with Carlos about the situation and re-assured a few things for me.

    1. My credit card was billed the amount it was shown during my the booking. While the e-mail confirmation shows a higher rate, since the room is prepaid in full, I should not have any surprise.

    2. Carlos was able to lookup my reservation, he had mentioned they have many departments and agents, and the agents I talked to were not from the right department. Regarding Hotel not able to find booking, Carlos said to check with Hotel Reservations (not front desk) 3 days prior the travel date. I will have to update this review at that point once I can confirm with the hotel booking is all fine.

    3. Carlos offered to be point of contact if I have further issues with the booking closer to check-in date.

Itinerary Number and Confirmation is non-existent. I called the reservation # and was told I did not provide a valid itinerary #. Called the hotel and said no booking found. Get bounced around when trying to inquire what is going on. Given multiple numbers, transfers, etc. All methods lead to the agent saying "That's not a valid itinerary # on our system..."     I booked a room for Corpus Christi in November. I had to cancel the booking due to a default on my travel from San Antonio. I booked through this company and when I tried to get a refund back, the hotel did not want to issue it back to my account. Due to THEIR policy they would not issued me ANY kind of refund. Carlos ** emailed me to thank me for using the website and in turn, I replied to him to let him know what my situation was between me and the hotel I booked.     This was the first time I used this service. I needed to book a block of rooms for family, friends, and the groomsmen who were traveling to my son's out-of-town wedding.     The hotel was most assuredly not as described, as such I did not check in. I called the customer service line instead of checking in - they were friendly and helpful to be sure. I was told that I would receive a full refund immediately. After 5 weeks with no refund, I called customer service again. I was told that the refund had not yet been issued but that they would issue the refund right away.

    Coming up on the end of the 4th week since the last (second) call, still no refund, I have called again. This time however, I have been told that the computer says the refund had been issued and that it can take 10 days. When I point out that the apparently issued refund date was 24 days ago, well surpassing the 10 days, I was told to email customer service.

    In fact, I was also asked to send my credit card statements via email to customer service. Yet, neither customer service representative that I spoke with today (I was disconnected from the first one - after 50 minutes of dealing with her) could tell me who to address my concerns and my credit card statements to. Nor could they confirm that the email was secure - a concern to be sure when they are asking me to send my credit card information. Moreover, the customer service number I phoned, is apparently not the same customer service that I am now being asked to email? Regardless, while the customer service representatives on the phone are tremendously friendly, the actual service is clearly lacking.

    My husband and I decided to drive to Charlotte NC just 2 and a half hours away to visit a friend who came in town. We had our kids with us also. Before getting on the road we put our reservation in through you guys. You'll sent confirmation and hotel information. The hotel was beautiful. I loved it. Proceed to check in. We had no reservation. You guys book us at a hotel where there was no rooms and took our money. After 2 hung up and 5 hours later we and our small kids got into our room about 3 am oh and a 21.00 dollar discount we thought we had. Nope the room was just cheaper and I'm very unsatisfied.

The front desk informed me that they have had problems with this online company in the past. I called hotel planner and the woman was not in the least helpful.     Call and made reservations at motel 6 in North cross GO. After getting there, we was told that they had overbook, didn't try to accommodate us at all, didn't receive a call letting us know that they no longer had a room at anytime for us. We was told this by the desk clerk, from a side slide in window. We was not allow in the lobby at all. Thank god LA QUINTA INN & SUITES they did have a suite for us. They need to do better.

    When calling in for reservations after several minutes of time spent with a very helpful operator I gave all my credit card data and other info to him and was put on hold to wait for my confirmation number. He accidentally hung up on me prior to confirming my reservation. I called the same number back, got a different operator. Her name was Ciara. Everything went fine. Prior reservation had never went through due to accidental hang up.

    I will say the hotel we stayed at in Abilene, TX had a huge cockroach and dead fly problem. The room had obviously not been swept in a long time due to large numbers of dead flies and cockroaches under to sink counter area. We ran out the next morning. We had planned to stay two days but we could not get out fast enough. We were upset and should have asked for a new room but we were tired and it was late. I will not mention the name of the hotel because it was too bad. Never make more than one day reservations until you can check out the rooms.

    I want to share an experience, my family and I had on our summer vacation which involved HotelPlanner.com. We made reservation to stay at a Motel 6 in Salisbury MD, from 8/13/14 to 8/16/14. After checking in with my wife, son and his girlfriend I received a call from my older son who was still in NYC and had not come with us. He told me that our basement had flooded from a pipe bursting, had a flood and had to head home the next morning. I called the # we called to make the reservation and explained the situation, but the person I was speaking with informed me that the unused portion of our trip would be lost to us and no refund would be given. He explained the cancellation policy, but I felt that it did not apply to this situation because we had made the reservation, checked in and called to cancel the remaining 2 days within 3 hours time. He said it did not matter. His name was Santiago he said that the hotel could not even modify the reservation because it was made with a 3rd party through Expedia.

    Santiago said he would get in touch with the hotel and find out when we checkout and see if there was anything he could do to refund us the 2 nights that were left unused. He said it would take him 3 or 4 days and he would be calling us, Santiago never called us. The next morning 8/14/14 when we checked out, the front desk person Ruben informed us that he could not check us out because it was a 3rd party res, but he did give us a business card with our check in and checkout info written on the back of the card. That was very kind of him, and we would like to thank him for that.

    After getting home and making many calls to Expedia, without any resolution I got Carlos ** on the phone and he did explain the policy and that it would not only up to HotelPlanner to refund the 2 unused night but Motel 6 as well. Carlos finally after several calls to the Motel, spoke with Kelly and she agreed to the refund. My family and I would like to thank Carlos ** for the effort that he put forward on our behalf and making a bad situation a bit better by minimizing the economical burden not to mention having to cut our vacation short. Again, thank you Carlos.

    I googled a hotel where I hoped to stay, and made a reservation, thinking I was on that hotel's actual website. Unfortunately, that was not the case, so when I ended up having to cancel my trip/reservation only a few hours later, I suddenly realized I was NOT on the actual hotel website, and that the hotel charge was "non-refundable".     Wanting to move to a Homewood Suites in the Litchfield area, I Googled Homewood Suites Near Me. I found the Avondale-Phoenix Ad and clicked on the "Call" button for the listed 800 number. The phone was answered by "Reservations." I explained where I was working (which should have had a discount) and that I need a room for 1 week starting the next day. The individual must have been well versed at pulling information from people as I gave her the full hotel name. When she stated the cost, I assumed there was no discount available since it was the same price listed when I searched Availability online. The reservation was made and she stated it was non-refundable because it was less than 24 hours before arrival. That made sense to me, so I accepted.

    Upon arrival to the hotel, I was not greeted as a HiltonHonors member (unusual) and as I chatted with the reservation clerk, she mentioned Expedia. I didn't reserve with Expedia. Yes, you did. I told her my story and she stated I could have had the room at $88 per night instead of $159 but she could not change it because it was through a Third Party Reservation.

    I received an email the next day from HotelPlanner.com, Mr. Carlos **. Upon return from the trip, I contacted Mr. ** and explained the issue. He was offended by my use of the term phishing and scam. I shared nowhere on the website, reservation call, or at the hotel was HotelPlanner.com ever mentioned. Well, since I already USED the reservation, there was nothing to be done. Sorry. I really expected to receive some sort of credit returned either to my card or at least for the next hotel reservation I made to alleviate the loss. I have used Expedia with great results. I have no issue with them. But HotelPlanner.com should be more forthcoming with their customers and explanations. I lost more than $400 with that lack of understanding. They got me! SCAMMED.

    I booked my room 15 to 20 days out for two nights, the deal was amazing. Two days before check in, which is today, I noticed that there was going to be severe thunderstorms and torrential rain. I currently serve in the U.S. Army and only get leave once or twice a year so I planned for family to come down. When I discovered the weather report I attempted to get a full refund. I understand the cutoff day on the contract but who could have predicted the weather was going to take a turn for the worse. I feel like there should be an amendment to this policy due to those extenuating circumstances. I was denied the full amount of course and only given back 207 dollars of the full 415 dollar bill.

    The site told me it was the hotel itself who demanded the money. I spoke to a David at the hotel who told me it was in fact the site. I feel that if we as Americans must take advantage of each other this way then there's nothing for our brave men and women to even fight for. HotelPlanner you were in the right but is there no compassion for hard working men and women or is it all about money?

    I have a complaint to file against the amount which was charged on my card. Here is the confirmation number - **. Best western Shelbyville Hotel, at the time of checkout gave me total bill of 440.90$ and my credit card was charged for 557.14$. I confirmed twice with hotel, once at the time of check out and later that night through a phone call because my account statement was showing I was charged more. When I contacted hotel planner representative, I am told that they get lower rates but they charge full rates. Now my question is, how can you charge around 120$ extra from my account. This is not justifiable. I need the refund back in my account.

    I was traveling with my sister, niece, 2-year-old child and a dog on Friday night July 18th with a U-haul and a car... We were needing a room that was pet friendly.. This is how I found you on my iPhone.. Called and after much discussion you said we had a room at the quality Inn North of Atlanta and even gave us a confirmation number. When we arrived exhausted, to our dismay there was no room reserved for us and all the pet friendly rooms were gone.. It was very late and were lucky the hostess from that hotel called the one next door which was not near as clean as we would have wanted.. but we took it because we had no choice.. I don't like this idea of paying you for doing nothing..

    To top it off, it shouldn't happen twice... but it did.. The next night we made it up to north Cincinnati. To our complete total dismay when we arrived at our room at Hampton Inn in Wilmington Ohio, they never heard of us. No reservations. So my sister has paid for 4 rooms... 2 on the phone with confirmation numbers and 2 we paid when we actually arrived at the hotels.. I am writing this so others don't have this situation happen to them.. If she doesn't get a FULL refund, I will be reporting this to the better business bureau.. I will never make reservations this way again and I also will be telling my traveling friends to be wary of your service and services like yours.

    Do not use this company, call HOTELS directly! I called HotelPlanner to make a reservation in LA for a hotel. Hotel Planner told me the hotel was NOW booked as they were making my reservation. Okay fine, understand those things happen, so I hang up without a reservation. I pull up to a hotel and go in to make a reservation and my cc doesn't work, strange. So I use another one and go upstairs to check my banking acct. HOTEL PLANNER has charged the hotel (that was booked, remember)! Three, yes three times! $2,700!!! Not to mention the other room that I just got, I had spent $3,500 on rooms. I spend the next hours and days of MY trip, explaining my situation to representatives, hotels, and my bank trying to get refunded. Hotel reservations are not high at all on these companies favorites, they say call direct. Yes, now I will. Seriously, HotelPlanner, horrible situation for a traveling person. NO WAY would I ever, ever, ever use your company again.

    I'm actually trying to get the word out to others. Will I be refunded? At this point, I'm still trying too for a reservation that didn't exist to me, x3!! So beware, HotelPlanner's mistake..... was my $$$$. Even worse, the Hyatt Regency said they would refund the full amount, but get this HOTELPLANNER said they were charging me the penalty!! What, for your mistake? I spoke to Lovey, ** (her manager), and countless others! No one has refunded the full amount as of yet. I am floored that this has turned into my mistake from simply making a phone call, oh okay hotel is booked, then hang up. To now I have been charged 3 times for a room with no email confirmations or reservation #s. If this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. Save the headache and enjoy vacation, DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS NIGHTMARE.

    Looked at nice pictures of a room in Vegas pics - looked nice. Called HotelPlanner, told them my husband was older and I needed a handicapped room at a hotel in Vegas. He told me the rooms were nice in a handicapped room of Circus Circus called the Manor. When I arrived the room was very dirty - dirty doors, dirty floors, dirty beds, filthy all over! It actually look like prostitution was going on in that area of the motel. I promptly called HotelPlanner and asked them to refund my money since what was represented on their website was not accurate. They refused to refund my money and only give me 20% back of the balance. I didn't understand why since I did call and the gentleman on the phone told me the room was nice and the pictures that they had online were not representative of what the room actually look like.

    I then spoke to a supervisor. The supervisor was very, very rude named Andrea, didn't want to hear me talk anymore and just decided to hang up on me. What kind of service is this? I was being very calm and nice on the phone and she decides to hang up on me because she didn't want to hear me talk anymore. Never, never, never use this service. It is the worst hotel reservation service I have ever used. I never use them again.

    We made a reservation via HotelPlanner.com for a 3-night stay in a H I Express in Columbus, OH, as it was near Riverside Hospital. The situation changed and I needed to cancel the reservation - online at the hotel planner.com website per their instructions - 3 days before we were to arrive. The reservation was prepaid and only 2 of the three days was refunded; they kept $173 for a room we never used. HotelPlanner.com has the money and refuses to refund it as they say that Holiday Inn is charging them a penalty. Holiday Inn claims that they never received the cancellation and that "no one showed up to check in".

    It is apparent that HotelPlanner.com did not forward the cancellation to Holiday Inn. I assume someone at HotelPlanner.com decided not to let Holiday Inn know, so they could make a few bucks for themselves or the company. Holiday Inn corporate customer service can't do anything to persuade the manager in Columbus to do the right thing; I can't persuade HotelPlanner.com to do the right thing; but I will do the right thing by alerting you to watch out for both this Holiday Inn and HotelPlanner.com!

    The travel industry is highly competitive and there are good companies out there that are worthy of your business. We've traveled extensively and have never had an issue like this. Don't make the same mistake we did. Don't make reservations with hotel planner.com; Never fall for the prepaid rate from any service even if it is a few bucks lower - you will not be able to get a refund because they don't care - they have your money already; avoid the Holiday Inn Express University in Columbus, OH - the manager was unsympathetic and downright rude. Hope this helps someone else avoid this kind of nonsense.

    Booked a Hotel with the date 4/25-4/26. Confirmation came in with today's date. Went through Hotelplanner.com to book the hotel La Quinta Inn & Suites St. Albans, 813 Fairfax Road, Saint Albans, VT 05478 US for 4/25 with a 4/26 departure. There was a calendar and I selected the dates 4/25, 4/26 which showed up in the appropriate fields. I entered the CC info and submitted the info and when I did I noticed the confirmation date was today's date 4/14, I called the customer service number and got someone in India. He outright refused to change the date or refund the money $129.92 that was charged to my credit card. THIS WASN'T my error and there isn't any refunds. Absolutely no satisfaction.

    On July 27, 2013, two weeks prior to my visiting Orange, TX, I looked up the Holiday Inn Express online and called the phone number that was listed. Little did I know, as happened to so many others, that this was Hotel Planner and not the hotel. I advised the woman who answered the phone (who led me to believe she was the desk clerk) that all I wanted to know was the nightly rate and she replied that there was a problem as there were only two rooms left in the hotel for that weekend, a king and a double-queen. I told her I had to talk to the others in my traveling party and she suggested I book the room to ensure the rooms would not be reserved in the meantime and then cancel if necessary. I asked of their cancellation policy and she advised I could cancel by Aug. 7th, 48 hrs. prior; hence I gave her my credit card information.

    Moments later, I received an e-mail advising that my American Express a/c was charged $224.80 and not by the hotel but Hotel Planner (a/k/a TSP Ean TRAVEL US). Two days later, I was able to get the real phone number for the hotel and learned they personally had no reservation so I called Hotel Planner and told them I wanted to cancel my reservation and have the money credited to my a/c. I was told this was impossible as I should have read the fine print regarding their cancellation policy. I requested talking to a supervisor and a very rude man told me this was their policy. As I had no alternative, I kept this reservation and, with confirmation in hand, I approached the super nice desk clerk at the hotel on Aug. 9th, at 4:50 p.m., only to be told that not only did they have no reservation for me but the number on Hotel Planner's reservation was not even one of their numbers, this being verified by her showing the confirmation to Mr. **, the hotel mgr.

    Fortunately one in our party let me stay with her and, as she was only staying one day, they added one day to the reservation and, of course, when I left the hotel, I had to pay the bill as they never had been reimbursed by Hotel Planner. On Aug. 10th, I disputed the bill with AMEX and was told it was not necessary for me to contact Hotel Planner as they would take care of it. Was I ever shocked when I received denial of the dispute as Hotel Planner claimed I was a "no-show". Mr. ** then had his diligent reservations concierge research the problem (even contacting many area hotels as we assumed it was just an error), then sent AMEX a copy of the reservation with my personal signature, along with other pertinent info.

    Nearly 60 days later, I was again denied Dispute #2 as Hotel Planner claimed I violated the hotel cancellation policy inasmuch as I was late. The hotel advised that, first off, I arrived at approx. 4:50 p.m. and they usually do not even charge for a night's stay unless the customer arrives after 11:00 p.m. as planes are late, etc. Needless to say, I was shocked they again convinced AMEX they were right so I filed Dispute #3 and this time it was investigated with AMEX Fraud Dept. In early Dec., I typed a 5 page letter to them and sent all pertinent receipts, also advising that on Rip-Off Reports there were many complaints against TSP Ean TRAVEL US (a/k/a Hotel Planner). Nearly 6 months later, they finally credited my account. I cannot believe that a company like this is allowed to operate in our country and keep scamming people and hope I can save others from the same experience.

    Last month, on the mid of March, I was looking for an available hotel in Tokyo, Japan. Since it was a season of cherry blossom festival, I could not able to find an available hotels in Tokyo. So, I rushing to my laptop and open their site. And I was really glad that they have an available hotel which fits my scheduled day of travel. So I then book for a hotel reservation through their system. As I am proceeding to book, I was able to encounter a failure booking. Then and again, I thought it was not possible, and the process was unsuccessful.

    Within that day, I was being informed by my bank though my email system that I was being deducted for my booking. And to my surprise, I was not being sent any confirmation. Worries now take place. I look for any means how could I reach out to Hotelplanners.com. And through their sites, I saw their contact details. I am now starting communicating with them through sending an email. For almost 2 days, no response I have receive, so I thought I lost it.

    I will never book through this company again, or through any third party for that matter. I was on the road and tired and thought I was booking with Holiday Inn directly. One hour after making the reservations my plans changed and I called to cancel. They were more than happy to cancel my reservations, but in no way willing to refund my money. The hotel manager stated he would have no problem refunding my money, but because I booked through Expedia (which is not noted anywhere on any document) that they were in control and would not be able to refund my payment. Buyer beware, read the fine print and make sure you call the hotel directly to find out the actual rate before you make any other arrangements or use any outside companies, especially this one. What I got was no deal at all and no sympathy from the company other than "I'm so sorry ma'am."

    HOTELPLANNER.COM is a RIP-OFF!!! We paid (IN FULL, according to our receipt) nearly $2,200.00 for hotel rooms for 5 nights for our employees in Las Vegas. After traveling for nearly 18 hours they arrived at the hotel (Circus-Circus) only to be told that there would be an additional charge of over $200.00 for a "resort fee" that they had to pay. Keep in mind that they had a receipt that specifically stated that their room charges were "PAID IN FULL". The rate offered on Hotelplanner.com, at that point, was no longer competitive; in fact it was more than the rate offered by two other better-known booking sites.

    When I called their Customer Service department, they said that, "...somewhere on their web site...", when I booked the reservation, "There was a disclaimer stating that there may be additional fees charged by the hotel." I looked for it and could not find anything like that. I asked for a copy of our receipt (since the receipt was with the travelers already in Vegas). I was told that it would take three to four hours to email it to me even though the customer service representative was looking at it to go over the information with me. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was put through to another woman who immediately told me there was nothing she could do.

    I asked for the number of their corporate office and she said that, for security reasons, she was unable to give me that number. She said all she could do was give me the email address to customer service, but she assured me that there was nothing they could do to fix the situation. I asked for her supervisor and she told me that there was no one higher up than her. I asked if she was the president or CEO of the company and she said, again, that for security purposes, the name of that person could not be provided. She told me that if I did not change my tone that she was going to hang up on me. I was not using profanity, but I was being very firm with her. In the end they refused to do anything about the extra fee and we had to pay it.

    DO NOT TRUST THIS BOOKING SERVICE! THEY ARE A RIP OFF!!!!! Their rates look low, but there are undisclosed, hidden fees that take the prices over the more straight-forward sites. Never again!!!!!

    I did want to write and tell you about the wonderful service I received from Mike on Saturday, March 1st.     I had requested an early check-in with a local hotel near where I live. After 1st telling me they couldn't accommodate me, I almost hung up. Then, all of the sudden, the guy put me on hold and told me I would be able to check in at 10:00 a.m. as long as I called the hotel in advance of showing up. I needed the early check in because I only needed the room for about seven hours. Sure enough, I called the hotel on check-in day, and they could not accommodate me. I wasn't able to check in until 2 pm. As a result, I paid full price just to have the room for about 3 hours. The guy on the phone for hotel planner was purposely misleading and told me something that was not true just to get the sale. Hotelplanner.com has two choices 1) Refund my money or 2) I report you to the Better Business Bureau. Decide quickly, because I am very angry.

    I used Hotelplanner.com for a preliminary search for hotels for an event. I received several options to consider. In the end we did not use Hotelplanner.com to secure a hotel for our event. We ended up contacting a hotel that was listed on their site but we worked independently with that hotel, secured a different rate, and negotiated out agreeable terms. The event was very successful and had nothing to do with Hotelplanner.com. I was repeatedly contacted after the event by Hotelplanner.com for a rooming list indicating that they needed the rooming list to get a rebate for the hotel rooms we used. I eventually sent the rooming list because they wouldn't stop calling and emailing.

    What ended up happening was an invoice was sent to the hotel billing them for a commission. They charged them at the rate that was listed on the Hotelplanner site, which is more than the rate that we negotiated with the hotel, confirming that they had nothing to do with the hotel agreement. They threatened the hotel with collections and now we are in jeopardy of losing a good relationship established with the hotel for future events. I would caution anyone and everyone to avoid Hotelplanner.com.

I too had troubles with a hotel chain not wanted to refund a booking. Am I allowed to say the Hotel chain name? They said I cancelled my room too late and was not eligible for a refund. I had no written proof so I accepted it. I wrote to Hotelplanner about the problem and they tried to get me a refund. Nope but Carlos did give me a credit with hotelplanner for 50% of the cost of the room. He did not have to he just was being kind and understanding. I was impressed and so when I book a room from now on I use Carlos and Hotelplanner. I still shop for super smoking deals but have not found anything better than Hotelplanner deals.     I am a travel agent and booked a room at The Hilton Resort in Galveston, Texas on May 18, before my cruise. Travel Planners charged my card, and I printed my email confirmation and took it with me to check in. After a day of traveling, with my young grandchildren, we arrived at the hotel to check in. We were informed that Travel Planners NEVER paid the Hilton for our reservation! They told us there were no rooms left! I began to cry. It was 10 pm and we had a cruise the next day. After about 20 minutes, another clerk came over to tell us that she was able to find a room, but the rate was now $389. We paid $127 on Travel Planners!!! I said that I couldn't possibly pay that. We stood there at the counter with people in the lobby staring at us. I was so humiliated!

    My grandchildren were hungry and tired, and there we stood. I had no idea what we could do. All of the hotels were sold out. So I told the kids we would leave and get food and then try to figure something out. I figured we would just sleep in our minivan somewhere or drive back to Houston, etc. to look for a room. I have never felt so lost and helpless in my life!!! I have been selling travel... both corporate and leisure for 27 years, and I have never had such a thing happen. We had 26 family and friends in our group. I had booked the others through last minute Travel.com and all of them checked in without issue. My room was the only one booked through Travel Planners.

    Finally, I asked for a supervisor at the Hilton. I used my phone to show them my credit card statement, where Travel Planners charged my card. And I showed her my email confirmation showing my room was confirmed as paid in full. FINALLY, the supervisor said, "If I can make copies of these, I will back charge Travel Planners and go ahead and put you in a room." This was a horrible start to our long awaited cruise vacation.

    Learning of my great-niece's death at 29 from ovarian cancer, I was anxious to attend the wake and funeral in Valley Stream, NY. Having arranged on November 6 to ride there from Old Chatham, NY with an acquaintance, I booked into the Rockville Center Hampton Inn and Suites through HotelPlanner.com. When my travel arrangement fell through, I briefly considered driving myself to Long Island, then realized I couldn't: I turn 75 next month, suffer from (among other things) spinal stenosis and ischemic heart disease, and I just can't hack driving in metropolitan traffic. Public transportation was equally impossible.

    Although I canceled almost immediately, I faced a fee. Requesting a waiver of the normal cancellation fee, I encountered a fairly confusing process simply determining who was charging the fee and who could waive it. Thanks to the considerable efforts of Mr. Carlos ** of HotelPlanner.com, we have received a full refund. Mr. ** worked with us, with the uncooperative manager of the hotel, and with his organization to resolve the situation very much to our satisfaction, leaving us wiser about booking online (I had thought I was dealing directly with the hotel), but not sadder.
