I was hit with a blast of pot smoke in the double door space at the front door. First and second floors had very strong cigarette and pot smoke. I told the desk clerk about the pot smoke on first floor and he said he couldn't do anything about it unless he knew for sure what room it was coming from. I said it was room 136. Actually rooms are quite nice- clean, tidy, tv in living room and in bedroom. But I would never stay there again because of the smoke.

Extended Stay America in Lynchburg Virginia is the worse place I have ever stayed! The hotel clerk here is the most rude, unprofessional, uncooperative hotel clerk I have ever come across. She talks to you like she's scolding her children. The rooms are not that clean and run down. They say they have breakfast. That's a joke. Muffins and breakfast bars. A lot of construction workers stay here. It's noisy. I would not recommend this place. I have come across other reviews of other extended stay Americas and they're pretty much the same rude and uncooperative hotel clerks. Wow! Never again!!!!

I stayed at Extended Stay America on Major Blvd in Orlando, FL, and had a terrible experience. The room was extremely dirty, and there were cockroaches crawling everywhere. I even have photos showing when I shook the bed skirt – dozens of roaches fell out. The bed skirt itself was filthy and covered in mold. It was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I do not recommend staying here at all.

I want to give a warm thank you to ** the GM at 1036 Greenwood Blvd., Lake Mary, Florida. She was so helpful and kind in helping me when I pulled in late one evening to find a place to stay for a week. She was very considerate and help me to make sure I got a room downstairs because of my physical condition. The rooms were very clean, updated, very modern and new. Clean restrooms and the most comfortable bed. I would highly recommend this extended. Stay America. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Thank you again and God bless. 🙏

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. I stayed 2 nights on the 9-13-25 in this hotel in the city of El Segundo California, and it was my worst nightmare. This hotel is absolutely disgusting. The rooms were dirty, the bathrooms had mold and a terrible smell, and the kitchen, night stand did not look clean at all. The microwave OMG was completely old and dirty. Old microwave with Rust and corrosion. Given the extent of the damage, particularly the rust and corrosion, and the potential for radiation leakage, it would be advisable to have this microwave inspected by a professional or consider replacing it for safety and hygiene reason. Fire hazard: Severe corrosion or damaged microwaves could pose a fire risk.
The hallways and common areas were just as filthy, making the entire place feel unsafe and unsanitary. For the price they charge, it's shocking to see such poor conditions. We paid $325.78 including $50 dollars pet fee, and $38 dollars parking. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I don't understand why the city allows them to continue working for the public. On the top a pit bull was hanging around in the parking lot without a leash, at late afternoon, scaring everyone, and only one person was working at that time. I never will stay at this hotels anymore.

If you're going to stay in the Tulsa, Oklahoma by Fort Sill base, this is not the hotel you want. Very disappointed. I had booked a three night stay, paid for it weeks in advance to see my daughter graduated from Fort Sill. My check in was at 3 pm due to traveling from Michigan 16 1/2 hours. I was checking in late in the night. I called let them know. The lady at the front desk told me, "No problem." When I called the front desk I get there, she says my reservation was cancel by the hotel due to my room was giving to someone else.
I was so upset myself and husband and daughter now in the middle of the night no sleep, have to find somewhere else to sleep, almost slept in our car since everything was booked around the area. I do not recommend this hotel, since they knew I was traveling from afar. Didn’t care and they didn’t return my money which they cancel not me, will never again booked with them. Also the lady told me when you use their website, it’s a third party. Now I have to figure out who’s returning my money. She was not helpful, the number on the site was the front desk.

I was bitten by a spider while asleep at the Fair Oaks Extended Stay, it resulted in having to go to the emergency room. They denied a request for reimbursement, obviously not wanting to admit fault. Please don’t stay there, the trash is overflowing in the trash rooms. I definitely would not stay there if you are a female or bring your family there especially young children. The hotel is suspect of homeless individuals sleeping in the lobby, Fairfax County Police are there often to settle disputes among the people who are staying there. Rodents and roaches are a common problem. People prop the doors open with objects so that anyone can sneak in.

If you can help it, do not stay at the Northgate Sacramento, CA - Extended Stay America. The room was disgusting and felt unsafe to stay the night. The door didn't feel very secure and the room was not thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen sink was cruddy as well as the bathroom sink. The bathroom rug look like the maid step all over it before putting it on the bathtub for use. Luckily, I examine towels and bed linens before using them. And bring a travel-size Lysol spray for these cases. I glad it was for only one night. Never again, nor sure anyone else should stay unless really necessary. It was seedy. Yuck!

Booked on Booking.com, yet 9701 N Shannon in Kansas City MO. Said booking.com had canceled. They hadn't, in fact I had been billed. I was not allowed a room until I paid the hotel too. Booking.com said they knew this hotel had ripped people off several times this way. Plus neighboring room came out with a cockroach in a jar. Brand new building. Clean, AC. But absolutely nothing in the kitchen - not a spoon, cup, bowl, plate. Not a coffee maker. Not a kitchen towel, dish soap. Nada. A phone call to the desk resulted in "Come down and get it." Sure enough, we were given a big plastic tote with a coffee maker, plates, drinking glasses, a plastic dishrack, cereal bowls and a colander. No coffee cups. No soap. No kitchen towel. And "sorry we don't have any cream and sugar." Period. Not "we're out" but "our shift doesn't have the key to that cupboard." Period. No effort to call a manager or otherwise provide.
The ads say "A kitchen stocked with kitchen things" and "Fully equipped hotel kitchens" but the front desk person said these items are "only available by request." THIS IS NOT STATED ANYWHERE ON THE EXTENDED STAY AMERICA WEBSITES. And still no coffee cups. AND WE HAD TO HAUL THE TOTE UP OURSELVES. I've never, ever stayed in an Extended Stay hotel that was so cheap and so NOT what it advertises itself to be. It's like advertising that the room has a shower but not providing towels. We are paying for amenities that are being withheld. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Review of Extended Stay America - 8045 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, Ind 46214. I recently decided to take a weekend getaway and chose Extended Stay America on Rockville Road, thinking it would be a convenient and comfortable option. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for. Upon arrival, I was moved to two different rooms. The first room I entered had dirty covers and bed sheets, and the sink was not clean either. To make matters worse, the room had an unpleasant smell that made it hard to relax. I went back to the front desk to request a different room, hoping for a better experience. The second room still had an unpleasant odor, and I encountered a toilet with a sensor that made it difficult to use. It was frustrating to deal with these issues during what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway.
Additionally, I was surprised to learn that I would be charged $1.75 for towels the next day. Given that I had already paid for the room, I expected basic amenities like towels to be included in the service. To top it off, I was disappointed to find out that the rooms are not cleaned daily, which is something I would have anticipated from a hotel. Overall, my experience at Extended Stay America was disappointing, and I cannot recommend it based on my stay. The hotel is located in a nice area, but the service and cleanliness need significant improvement. I will not be returning, and I hope the management takes steps to enhance their service and address these issues for future guests.

First I would like to make a serious inquiry about the Extended Stay by the airport (NN/W). I've never in my life been so offended (trust me it takes a lot to offend me). I had just gotten out of the hospital after a couple of months due to a fatal fire to be treated like a commoner or even better a ** on welfare (I'm in a DV program).
It wasn't even 48hrs before I was told to leave because of #1 the first room had been booked twice #2 this room was a room but apparently the female that was underneath my room claimed it sounded as if I was table dancing all night which in fact the chic at the desk (office ran by 2 girls under 25yrs old) seen me return so she knew what's up and housekeeping is a 23yr old girl but the kicker is I was under the impression that it's been going on with them awhile of "making extra money" there!!! Also, was accused of breaking the door handle!! Someone please tell me how without trying one would go about bending this not so malleable door latch? It was a very unpleasant experience especially considering what I had just been through it was hell! I'm happy they asked me to leave.

This hotel is located in a nice area of Lake Forest, CA so I trusted making a reservation there. The room was adequate but clearly needed a lot of work. The shower head only provided dripping water and the toilet kept clogging. The first time the toilet clogged I understood why there was a plunger next to the toilet. The room appeared to be clean, but the condition of the beds and furniture indicated "old." The most important downfall was the rude staff. Every time I went to the front desk to ask for something they acted as if I was causing them a big burden!
The day before we left, we stood at the elevator and only the outer section of the door opened up. The inner section remained closed. No matter how many times we pressed the down button, nothing happened. We took the stairs down and I stopped at the front desk to report the non-functional elevator. The employee looked at me a curtly said "the elevator is working!" We got back that evening to find a big sign on the door leading to the elevator stating "OUT OF SERVICE." Management needs to take a look at room conditions and spend some time training employees how to provide good customer service.

Made arrangements to stay 4 weeks in Mesa Az. Was advised that I need not pay until I checked in. However I gave them a Visa card to hold the reservation which was to begin on Monday May 5th. On the Friday before may 2nd I was taken by ambulance to the ER in Puyallup WA. With severe stomach pain and suffering from shock. My daughter called the hotel and cancelled my reservation at which time the hotel immediately processed my credit card charging me for 4 weeks stay while I was in the hospital having a stone removed from my liver duct and my gall bladder removed as well as being treated for intestinal and/or blood infections requiring IV antibiotics every six hours for ten days. Obviously I didn't plan this and Stay America acted in a totally unjust and greed oriented if not illegal manner. I have filed a complaint with Visa and am also contacting the state regulatory offices of Arizona, Washington and North Carolina.

Booked a room for my wife and I over the 4th of July weekend. The first thing I noticed was a chair in our room had torn upholstery. I got up at 5:00 and noticed there is no coffee maker in the room. I went downstairs to the lobby and breakfast room, but no coffee! Finally at 6:00 there were cups, pastries, and granola bars. At 9:00 the coffee dispenser was locked out. There is one table in the breakfast room, with one chair! I asked for a coffee maker for our room and when we got back after an outing, the coffee maker was there but no coffee is provided by the hotel. Later, we went to the workout room and found all of the machines were out of order. Notice the signs on the treadmills. Notice the cord that is unplugged on the stair stepper. This was a very disappointing trip, to say the least!

I stayed there from January 9th till May 14th. They stole from my bank account $803.63. I get threatened and accused every time I attempt to address it with them because they need my money so badly. I paid approximately 15 thousand dollars there since January. They're bankrupted and take it out on me financially because they hate me because I'm their easy target. I was nice to them while I was a guest there. People who work there have a trauma history and take it out on me is what employees there have told me. I'll be suing in court and asking the state attorney to bring a criminal complaint of petty electronic monetary theft if the district manager doesn't voluntarily return the money, they have no regard for United States dignity or moral standing let alone integrity.

I gave two stars for the location and amenities. I drove 10 hours to walk into a hotel that smells like wet dog. I had to run to Walmart to buy cleaning supplies because the room looks rundown. There are repaired holes in the walls. The cabinets look and seem dingy. The bed is tough, and not to mention, the floors will leave your feet black. There was shredded hair in the bathroom and toothpaste residue on the mirrors from the previous client. I will be here for the next 7 nights, and chose this suite because of its convenience compared to a BNB.
We switched rooms because of cleanliness issues (someone had taken down their braids and left the remains under the bed.) The stove compares to a cabinet top burner with no oven. Surprisingly, both the dishwasher, beds, and refrigerator are very clean. The gym is equipped with only a treadmill, 1/2 half-working bike, and very nice elliptical, but no cleaning supplies to clean after use. If I were by myself, out of town, working, this would do. However, on vacation and with my family...NO!

It is, a really good hotel as far as location, prompt service, friendliness & customer Service. I really like that you have to use a key card in order to enter the building in the evenings, as well as using a key card in order to get to the part of the hotel that houses the rooms to begin with. Yes, of course there are problems with guests being loud and noisy at late hours, however that is not on the staff to begin with and if mentioned, the front staff sees to it immediately. I really like this hotel & I've been here a little over 2 months. You can also access 485 & 77 very easily. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. There are lots of stores around, as well. Also, the hotel is very easy to find!

We booked a hotel room with Extended Stay in Tampa. Upon arrival, they didn't have the room available as per our booking (2 queens). They switched us to a king. We agreed as there was no other options. On our second evening, the hotel manager entered our room (11:40 pm) without our permission to see if our room was vacant or not. At almost midnight, she called our room phone and rudely asked us why were in that room. I explained that we had been moved to that room by their staff the day before due to nothing else being available. She demanded I go downstairs and pay for that room. I said I was not coming downstairs due to their incompetence and she said she was calling the police and is evicting me.
I waited downstairs for the police and they told me I had no rights as she had evicted me and even my proof of booking had no weight or could stop the eviction. I had to choose between being evicted of getting arrested. So we went upstairs, woke up our children and packed up everything. At 1:30am we were out on the street looking for a new hotel room to stay. Over the 2 days we had heard and seen so many complaints (from staff and customers) of how badly this hotel is run. No breakfast items, towels, tv's not working, overbookings that sent multiple customers away.
My children were traumatized by seeing 2 police men standing at our doorway telling us to leave the property. Stay away from Extended Stay of America. Unless you want to be evicted in the middle of the night even when you have paid in FULL - it means nothing and they can kick you out because their computer system/staff are so incompetent. They don't know who has checked in/out, are manually writing down room numbers and cant keep up with what is going on. What an absolute NIGHTMARE. To top it off, this was also my birthday. The craziest part in all this was that the General Manager (Sam is her name supposedly) agreed to refund me in front of the police officer. Why was I evicted for ''Not paying" and then told me I would refunded??? Someone make this make sense! Still waiting to hear back from upper management.

Let me preface this by saying that if I could leave less than 1 star, I would: I checked in to an ESA located in Mesa, AZ on a Sunday afternoon. I paid for a week. I had seen that they discount the room rate if you stay for an extended amount of time. But the daily rate seemed like it was just under $80. I paid about $685 for the week. The weekends are a little bit more money per day. The room was dated with furniture that should have been replaced. The WiFi was non-existent, and I had to use the hotspot on my phone was using the WiFi was like dial-up taking a considerable amount of time to even render a web page. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I didn’t use the mini stove, but that might have come in handy and they offer pots, pans, utensils that you get from the front desk. This is not the best neighborhood, so the location is not the best (not a reflection of the establishment but still a factor).
The staff weren’t very friendly except for the front desk agent in the evening who was a gem. So far so good—you get what you pay for. Except, when I went to check out—they charged an additional $186. I reiterate I didn’t get any discount and I prepaid for a whole week. I left one day early and instead of a refund, they charged me an additional amount. I can see them keeping my money and telling me that I don’t get a refund, but now they can resell the room and charge me additionally? In what universe does that make sense? So, do yourself a favor and avoid this place like a plague. Tried calling their customer service, but I was told that they would not refund this additional amount. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company.

Nowhere was it posted that front desk closes at 10:00 with no avenue to check-in or get a key. Our plane was delayed, I tried calling upon landing around 9:50, had to go through the national line with no avail only to have them call the front desk with no contact, then the manager's cellphone, that was a 75 delay on an already long day. I was advised to get another motel room since they could not check me in to give me access to a room I had paid in full for. This ordeal took me past midnight, try finding a room after midnight. WORST TRAVEL EXPERIENCE EVER, and I travel a lot, just give me access to a room and I am happy. Please heed this review and save yourself from the pain, with no customer service at all.
Even Worse! Seeking consideration for a refund! I talked to the 1-800 operator 3 times over a week. Each time they stated the site manager would have to make the consideration for refund. Each time I was advised I would hear within 48 hours, NEVER TO DATE HAVE I RECEIVED ANY CORRESPONDENCE, the night I paid in full for and never received access to a room was 20 Feb 25.

The worse hotel experience I have ever had in my 5-decades of travel. I don’t mind staying in a 3 star/out of 5 star hotel. I can take a small level of subpar, but my March 4, 2025 overnight at Extended Stay America Suites Fort Worth Medical Center was the WORSE! By Far! The Worse! No way this is a 3 star hotel. 1 Star is being generous.
1) Start with, my NONSMOKING room was reeking of smoke! I often puke when smelling cigarette smoke. I immediately went back to the check in desk to be moved. The clerk said she didn’t have a room available for me to move to. Huh? There weren’t that many cars in the parking lot and I passed by many dark rooms at 8pm from my assigned room of 200 when I walked back to the front desk. I find it hard to believe that there wasn’t somewhere to move me and my sister in a 97-room, two-story hotel.
An Aside: I saw the morning clerk accept cash, even though your policies say credit card only. “This property accepts credit cards; cash is not accepted.” Is this why there was nowhere to move us and the one room did reek of smoke—no fine???? When I complained about the smoke (the green smoke just about blasted out of the room when we first entered the room), the clerk gave a lazy “Yeaaah” and then added “We tell people not to smoke in nonsmoking rooms but they do it anyway. There’s nothing we can do about it.”
• How about fining people, like other hotels do—I have signed into hotels agreeing to pay $250 fine if I smoke in the room.
• Your Hotels.com wording says: “SMOKING: The hotel is a non-smoking hotel, smoking is prohibited anywhere inside the building. If you wish to smoke you must step outside. There is a $250 smoking fee if you smoke inside the building or tamper with the first alarm.” ***ENFORCE IT!!!!*** Have you read the reviews of the many people who complained about smelling smoke????
• How about the maids when they enter the room and smell the stench, leave open the hotel door, blast the A/C, and report it.
• The hotel’s webpage touts that it is a NO SMOKING HOTEL. Tell the truth in your advertising: “We allow smoking in nonsmoking rooms.”
Resigned to the hotel room because we were past the cancellation time, my sister and I left the door open, despite the 45-degree weather, and blasted the A/C for an hour.
2) We noticed a blob of toothpaste and a few dark hairs in the sink. Yuck!!!
3a) The two double beds only had a total of 3 pillows. When I requested a fourth pillow— I was told the hotel was out of pillows. REALLY?
3b) So I had to walk back to the front desk—
4) Oh, the phone didn’t have a plug, but you advertise you have phones in the room, you just don’t have WORKING phones in the rooms.
5) The beds did not have blankets—for that cold room on a cold night. Fortunately, we were given blankets, but thin ones, when I made yet another trip to the front desk.
6) The next morning, neither one of us wanted to take a shower, as the tub was just gross in color.
The extra big kicker was the so-called free breakfast, Served 6-9:30am. I went back to the front desk to get our breakfast. NOPE! Cold coffee and only enough for just one cup, until another batch could be made “10-15 minutes”.
I had my pick of three slender Nutri grain bars. Three. That was all that was out there. No fruit or even napkins. When I asked where the breakfast was, I was told “Greedy People.” Again, “nothing we can do about Greedy people taking it all.”
• How about put the breakfast items out in stages: 1/3 at 6am, 1/3 at 7am, and the final third at 8am.
• How about checking the coffee, instead of reading the newspaper?

My daughter had planned months in advance my Birthday Getaway: Brooks & Dunn Concert in Norco CA. Upon arrival ONLY one of our rooms was available, short staff, overbooked yet guaranteed after concert room will be ready. NOT TO MENTION- ELEVATOR WAS OUT AND HAS NOT BEEN WORKING FOR AT LEAST A MONTH (according to staff)! I believe that is a violation and against the law. Customer shared with us she was brought down by the fire department because she was in a wheelchair and stuck on 3rd floor for two days. Did I mention I was on a scooter & boot! Terrible accommodations and hallways smelled- dog pooped in hallway and owners took FOREVER to clean up. When talking to front desk - she was clearly overwhelmed and stated her own manager refused to come in and help. Will NEVER stay at this hotel again!

I made an online reservation on 2/10/25 for 3/1/25 to 3/3/25 through the hotel website. I received an email confirmation. The email communication was the last I heard from the hotel until I drove from Kentucky to Michigan. When almost reaching the hotel, the other travel parties we were meeting had arrived ahead of us and were asking for us to be placed close together room wise. They were advised that there was not a reservation for me. Upon further investigation, it was determined the hotel had cancelled my reservation due to overbooking. That would have been fine had they notified me so I could have planned accordingly and reserved another hotel. I NEVER received a phone call or email to let me know I did not have a room.
This was extremely frustrating to say the least after being on the road for several hours driving. There was no consolation from the front desk attendees. After our friend asking if they had other rooms available or other options and many times the answer being no, they finally offered a room with smaller accommodations than was originally reserved, with a higher rate. This was unacceptable. We were left with the task of locating another hotel at the last minute. There were no apologies from the staff at Extended Stay. We were made to feel it was our problem or fault.

In late September, I, along with my two sons, stayed at the Extended Stay America located at 3421 E Elwood St, Phoenix, AZ 85040, in preparation for an early flight the following morning for a service. At approximately 1:00 AM, I contacted the front desk regarding a persistent chirping sound from the smoke detector. The staff member at the front desk attempted to locate a replacement battery but was unsuccessful. She subsequently instructed me to disable the detector, assuring me that I would not incur any charges. I found this suggestion concerning, as it posed a potential safety risk. Ultimately, I located and removed the battery, placing it near the television.
Upon attempting to check out early the next morning, I discovered that there was no staff member present at the front desk. After waiting at the counter for approximately 15 minutes, I instructed my son to leave the key in the room, as we needed to catch our flight. I had made the reservation and completed payment through Priceline and subsequently filed a complaint regarding the smoke detector issue and the recommendation provided by staff.
Later, while preparing for my tax filings, I noticed a charge of $500 on my credit card. Unaware of the reason for this charge, I disputed it with my credit card company; however, the claim was denied after several weeks. In order to clarify the nature of this charge, I reached out to the facility, where I was informed that it was attributed to tampering with the smoke detector. I explained the situation, and the staff member assured me that the area manager would contact me within 48 business hours.
I initiated contact with the corporate customer service line to formally register a complaint, which resulted in a request for the area manager to reach out to me. After a two-week period without any communication, I decided to follow up with corporate customer service, leading to a second request for the area manager to make contact. A week later, I received a call from the customer service line, during which I was assured that the district manager would reach out to me within 48 business hours.
Subsequently, I contacted the location directly and spoke with the manager, Vanessa, who was notably unprofessional and informed me that she had consulted with her staff, concluding that the events I described "did not happen." At no point have I been contacted by any management representatives, except when I reached out to the facility. On March 4, I contacted customer service once again, where I was informed that an investigation had been conducted by management and upper management, concluding that no further action would be taken and that the $500 refund would not be issued.
I inquired as to why I was not contacted if an investigation was conducted. Furthermore, I questioned the rationale behind my alleged untruthfulness, especially given that I submitted a review on Priceline regarding the incident within days of my stay, well before I was aware of any charges. Additionally, it raises concern how I would know there was a female staff member on duty at 1:00 a.m. rather than the male employee who checked me in late that night. This situation has been exceedingly frustrating, and it is evident that the actions requested of me posed a safety violation, indicating that this facility does not prioritize the well-being of its guests.

As far as I’m concerned, Extended Stay America in Brandon Florida can have nothing good reported about our stay. It was the filthiest place I’ve ever stayed in. If we weren’t so tired we would’ve tried to go to another place. The place was filthy. The sheets look like they had stains on them from previous visits. The tub and surrounding area look like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. There were cockroaches, climbing up the walls. The refrigerator did not work correctly.. The lady that checked us in seemed to make a strong point that there was no services. No breakfast. No amenities. No room service.
They said they had to charge $100 security fee that would not be returned to me for at least 7 to 10 days. When I saw the room I took numerous photos to verify the terrible conditions because I was worried that they would try to blame it on us. I was not even able to speak to someone when I checked out so I could find out how they handle that. Security deposit. It Was a totally terrible place to stay.!!!!

Extremely sad. It's such a shame that this place is ran down and the beautiful neighborhood surrounding it. Fixtures are falling out of the wall even though it appears some things have been replaced now and even with security it leaves to wonder why security is needed. Very outdated and not the getaway weekend. I hope for. I believe this place is used for low income short-term housing which should never be rented out for vacationers. Very disappointed. I wonder if the reason why everything smelled as bleach is because something bad happened. I almost just want to sleep in my car for the night and go on with my travels. I feel bad for the extremely professional stuff that has been assigned to work here.

Smelled like animal urine. The bed wasn’t secure so every time I tried to get in the bed it rolled. The refrigerator leaked water all day all night. It was just a very unpleasant day. I’m disable and instead of them giving me a disabled room. They gave me a room on the first floor. I will never give this company another inch of my business. When we booked the reservation we were told that the kitchen was stocked with necessities and was pet friendly. Upon arrival the entire floor smelled like marijuana. We complained to the front desk who said if we could locate the room that was causing the smell they would take care of it. The room was semi clean and we found a live roach on the kitchen counter. There was no one at the front desk nor would anyone come to help us when we called out for help. The card keys only worked sometimes and again, finding someone to assist us took an act of congress. We left our dog in our room for a few hours as we had plans. When we came back our key cards were turned off.
Finally there was a front desk person who yelled loudly at us that there was a foul odor in the hall and blamed our dogs for making a mess that was causing the smell. He walked us to the room YELLING the entire way about how we were going to be charged a $250 cleaning fee. He opened our room for us and upon examination we told him it was not our dog that made mess and invited him into the room to prove that there was no mess. He angrily refused to enter our room yelling that it had to be us because the smell was strongest in the general area where our room was located. While the door was open with him freaking out in the doorway the dog ran out and was running down the hall. The associate then yelled at me for allowing my dog to freely roam the hotel.
After he left, I gave him some time to calm down, then went to the desk again. The agent would not come to the desk. I stood there for 15 minutes and called out for assistance and was ignored. Finally he came to the desk to check in another customer. He then said that he realized that it was not our dog that was the cause of the odor. No apology for the accusation or for his behavior. I asked to speak with the manager. He said he wasn't there. I then asked for the contact information to the corporate office. He handed me the manager's card and told me to look up the corporate office on google. I have never been treated so unprofessionally ever. I have worked customer service and would have been fired for treating a customer so badly.

This has truly been a disappointment to be at this Extended Stay Hotel in Tukwila Washington. I've been here almost 2 weeks and I HAVE PAID the WEEKLY FOR THIS WEEK AND THE WEEKLY FOR LAST WEEK. Very disappointed because I had to vacuum the room myself and then I had to request sheets in order to do the bed. But then I decided to call the front desk to ask why am I having to clean the room when I have booked for a month. She stated that, "Well we do clean the room after you've been there seven days and you definitely have been here more than 7 days so yes we will come and clean your room and we will not charge you additional" and I said good. Then she told me that someone would come the same day or the very next day but instead someone came the same day, several hours later.
Quite a nice surprise the housekeeper told me I had to get out of the room. I told her I had nowhere to go and I've stayed at a number of other hotels in my travels and they were very the other hotels and never once did they tell me I had to get out of my room if they were going to clean. I asked If I can just sit in the chair while you make up the bed and she said, "No you have to leave the room." It's for my safety. I explained to her that I've never had any hotel do that before and I've never had this happen.
I called the front desk. She took a real bad attitude with me and became very persnickety. She wanted me to know that she had the authority in this hotel. She said her rule is, that if the guest is still in the room, that they have to get out so housekeeping can clean. I explained that I have nowhere to go. She said no, that I have to get out. I said okay you don't have to clean the room that's okay I'll just get sheets and change the bed myself.
She became a little upset and said no we have to come in there and you have to get out and if you don't get out then we will put you out. They would be calling the police and this all started with my request for clean bed sheets. There are people that smoke in their rooms here and other really bad odors coming from other of the other rooms and the smell that comes from the other rooms linger in the hall and it finds their way into my room which I have to try to block.
Very disappointed, what all started with my asking for housekeeping has turned into them threatening to put me out and of course it meant calling the police to put me out. All because of asking for housekeeping to change the sheets on the bed. This room was not clean when I checked in. I had to clean the kitchen area and the refrigerator. I will never stay here again.

No one pays $631.26 per week to experience this nonsense! I deeply regret choosing Extended Stay America - Waltham Boston, MA. From the start, it was nothing short of a nightmare. The elevator had trash in it, reflecting the overall lack of cleanliness and this hotel and there is a terrible odor that just won't go away.
My initial room had a moldy, unhealthy shower ceiling, a broken chest of drawers, and no privacy when opening drapes as it faced a three-story parking garage. After requesting a room change not long after getting into room, things got worse. I viewed three additional rooms, all with serious issues, and ended up overnighting in the moldy room while awaiting a room change the next day. It's now 24hrs! I requested speaking with Manager and raised all concerns experienced since checking in. Initially, manager was very rude but changed her tune upon discovering my 5-month booking and quickly offered a so-called upgraded room. She said she did not want to lose business.
The "upgrade" was horrifying: I discovered an antiquated rusty microwave and old beaten down refrigerator with scotch taped to keep up broken down parts. The filthy cupboard drawers had scotch on some holding it together. An awful looking clogged bathtub (that went unrepaired throughout my entire stay), terribly stained vanity drawers and sink on vanity had no stopper grossing you out if you dare peep in to check the thing out. Even worse, was the exhaust over the stove which leaked brown, rusty liquid whenever the stove was in use.
During my 7-week stay, I woke up one day and stepped into a cold water puddle, The living area floor also had puddles of water from rain and AC leak. Facility in their attempt to repair AC/leak - left towels on floor. I encountered roaches on the walls and kitchen counter several times. Management only responded to my complaint only after the BBB intervened but refused my request for a full refund and quickly closed my case without resolution. Waltham ESA Management minimized all issues and treated these serious issues as if this is normal. Corporate office reaching out to me (after BBB contacted them) is simply a joke, trying to send me in another direction to sister hotel to resolve!
ESA have absolutely NO business doing business with anyone on any given day! This review is really a cry for this organization to be seriously investigated! Also, I would like a full refund of $4,959.90. Every single penny back! This is the worst hotel on the planet and the only experience I've had like this in any hotel. Avoid Extended Stay America at all costs. Absolutely HORRIBLE!

Where do I even begin? If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel…or with people in my entire life. Started off ok. None of the side doors work. You’ll always have to go get your key fixed. Also, enjoy your room key not working more than it should. It’ll randomly stop working and you’ll have to constantly go get a new one. Also rooms are dirty and gross. Like they never get clean!!!! Don’t wear white socks! Hallways smell disgusting. Not even their dollar tree air fresheners mask the smell. Smells like B.O and other bodily fluids. Okkkk so this is where the fun begins! Buckle up because it was a NIGHTMARE! The worker CALLED THE POLICE ON US BECAUSE WE WERE A LITTLE LOUD. Said we were yelling.

I arrived at the Extended Stay America in Charleston, SC, 5045 N. Arco Ln, and stayed there between 9/26/24-10/3/24. When I arrived, I saw a dead roach in the lobby and the floor was not swept. We were assigned room #218. My wife and I entered the room and immediately saw roaches scurrying around. I killed one or two. We saw more in the bathroom, kitchen area and living room.
That evening I went to the front desk and explained the cockroach infestation and foul smell emanating from the room and asked if I could get another room. She advised me, and quoted, "You know this is an extended stay right", and "a lot of people come here from their businesses and other places and bring things or stuff with them" meaning unclean people and belongings..
I advised her I stayed at 2 other Extended Stay locations within different states and never had a problem with roaches. She then gave me room #108. Wife and I looked over the room and saw another roach scurrying around in the sofa/living room area. But because it was so late, we decided to remain and switched rooms. We encountered more roaches throughout our stay, but not as bad as room #218. We decided to leave a day early, on October 2nd instead of the 3rd.
Also the rooms themselves are not being cleaned properly. Extended Stay's policy states rooms will be cleaned every 14 days by cleaning personnel, hence dirty rooms. This Motel needs serious fumigation to eradicate the roaches and better personnel to ensure these rooms are kept clean. I suggest looking for a better place especially if you are staying more than 1 day. The management needs to close this building down, but instead, they keep it open and they are taking people's money just to survive, not caring if these rooms are infiltrated with roaches.

I hope this message finds you well. My friends and I recently stayed at your hotel from 10/10/24 to 10/13/24 at Bethpage, Long Island, NY and I am writing to address some SERIOUS concerns regarding the condition of the room we were assigned. Unfortunately, our experience was FAR from satisfactory due to several cleanliness issues, including mold, visible bugs, and numerous hairs found in the tub. Given the potential health implications of such conditions, I felt it necessary to document these issues with pictures and videos, which I can provide upon request. While I understand that occasional oversights can occur, the level of cleanliness we encountered is unacceptable, and I believe it warrants a full refund for our stay. I trust that your establishment values guest safety and satisfaction, and I hope you will take this matter seriously. I paid $700 for 3 nights!!!

I have stayed at 3 of these place since traveling for work while waiting to get a permanent home. Each and everyone are HORRIFIC. The first one on 10610 West Broad Street was SOOOO Filthy I left in 2 months. Moved to the one at Park Place Court. It was pretty clean and rocky at first with the manager but after he realized I wasn't I wasn't one of the addicts from The Pride Program and was a single woman alone just living the best I could while maintaining a job and never to have missed a weekly payment. He was a very rude individual and was subsequently fired. And the woman that took over (Althea **) and had a hand in his firing. I told the assisting manager the last week I was there which was the day I usually paid every week that I was only paying for the next 2 days.
I moved out the day before I was to check out, Oh and I never used the housekeeping services or Linen's. The next week into my stay at this one Althea ** ACTUALLY STOLE MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT CHARGING $100. For Linen that I never used. The HVAC flooding in my room twice in 2 weeks, The unit above me flooded my bathroom twice, Molded starting growing in the shower. When I was my second week into this one.! My bank subsequently refunded me.
Now this one which I was informed is supposedly Corporate owned are a mess as well. Cleaner, I was told that they don't have a contract with The Pride Organization. I haven't yet seen any sign of that either. Someone is above me that never sleeps stopping and slamming large heavy objects on the floor all night and day LONG. I made the front desk aware of the matter. They said there's a rule referring to noise between certain hours. I'm aware I abide by them.
Now I work remotely from this room. I had to call the police twice due to the racket from upstairs during the restricted hours where residents are suppose to exhibit courtesy for other guest. It went on until 3PM. Of course it continued. I called the front desk again for like the 20th time and told the manager what I endured he said he will speak with them. Still it persists. I called front desk this morning about the noise again. He asked me to hold on then transferred to the person upstairs he was on the phone saying hello, I said I was holding for Agent. He says the agent forwarded him the call saying "A lady needs to speak to you". I was totally shocked initially. Then I said I was on hold informing front desk of the noise upstairs. He went, "Oh that's not me," and hung up.
Then the agent knocked on my door and said they were moving me to another floor. I said NO I'm not the problem. Obviously this person has a "MANIC ISSUE" he should be on the first floor so not to hinder any other guest stay. That makes sense to me.! It's a shame that since Covid my life financially has shifted w/ apartment price gauging it's hard to find one. Luckily I get paid every week which is just enough to pay the weekly in these hotels (ESA) if it wasn't I'd be on the streets.! I feel so taken advantage of. As I'm writing this review the Loud noise continues. These Hotels are HORRIFIC!!!! THIS CHAIN NEEDS TO BE SERIOUSLY CITED, FINED AND OR PERMANENTLY TAKING OVER BY REPUTABLE CHAIN.!

Property: 5200 South Quebec Street, greenwood village Colorado. I'm a 62-year-old disabled female. Melissa, the manager has been extremely rude and dismissive and with a less than caring attitude about the guest. On July 12th, the hottest day of the year and without any transportation, Melissa the property manager, decided not to extend my stay because I wrote an extremely negative review online. She told me that it was my fault because I decided to stay even though I wasn't satisfied with the room. She also said I just should have left and because I didn't please, they won't responsible for my injuries, for the filth in the room I entered and everything else that I experienced. She said that according to them it was cleaned and checked by their inspector and it passed. We just bought $300 worth of groceries that we had to leave in addition to all our cookware.
I was a quiet and extremely clean guest very respectful of the property. Can I believe this manager, Melissa, is a property manager of this hotel. Every time I've been in the office, it looks like she spends most of her time gossiping in the back with others. Friday, July 5th I checked in for a 30+ day stay and had made a prior reservation for two adults, one queen and one pull out couch. Before evening entering the room, I noticed there wasn't a pull out so they changed me to the room next door. The room had not been cleaned, extremely filthy, no microwave, most of the wood facing on the pull out drawers were missing with sharp nails and Staplesl sticking out. I mentioned this several times to the office and showed them pictures. I was told I would have to put in a work order to receive a microwave even though it states each room comes with a microwave.
I injured both of my hands on the sharp of the drawers in the kitchen, bathroom and the TV stand drawers. There was leftover food alongside the refrigerator and there was at least, a fist sized hole in the bathroom door. There were no pillowcases on the pillows, there was a large brown stain on the bedspread, the couch smell like cat urine. I spent 7 hours yesterday and over 8 hours a day cleaning and again requesting a microwave so I could eat. The filth is undescribable, the holes and marks on the wall are disgusting. The offices supposed to be open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and I could get no help all day. Two ladies were in the back chatting and when I came in the office for a third time, one of the ladies stuck their head out of the door as if she had no time for me. Again I told her I had been hurt, that it was filthy and that I needed a microwave to eat and she said, "I got ya", yet did nothing.

We stayed in the Extended Stay America-Bethpage NY on 5/2/24. When we got to our room, we heard multiple dogs barking in the adjoining room. We went back to the desk to request another room and were told the hotel was sold out. As it was late and we weren't familiar with the area, we went back to the room hoping the barking would stop. We asked the man at the front desk to at least contact the people in the room to try to get the dogs to stop barking. We never heard the phone ring and no one ever visited their room. The dogs continued barking until 11:30 PM and started again the next morning before 6 PM. At this point, the dogs started fighting and one of them was shrieking like it was getting killed. I call the front desk and asked them to go to the room to stop this and check on the welfare of the dog. The woman answering the phone said ok.
After several minutes, no one came to the room or called and the fighting between the dogs was intensifying. We were pretty sure the dog owners were not in the room. We called the front desk again and advised them something needed to be done right away as we were afraid a dog was getting killed. We were told that they weren't allowed to go into the room. I told them to at least knock on the door or call the owners, or the police or something. Again, we were told okay and nothing happened. We knocked on the wall and the dogs stopped for about 5 seconds and then began fighting again. At this point we were frustrated with the lack of concern by the staff and left the hotel.
According to the Quiet Policy of the hotel, all guest are required to be quiet between the hours of 10 PM and 8 AM. This policy was being violated and the staff did nothing though we contacted them 3 times. Even worse, they showed no concern for the welfare of the dog. I reached out to Extended Stay America to advise them of the situation. I asked for a refund since the staff did nothing to enforce their quiet policy. I also asked for disciplinary action on the members of staff who did nothing to ensure the safety of the dog, and asked for an apology from the management of Extended Stay America. It's been a week and we have heard nothing. After our experience, I'm not surprised that there's been no reply. So my only recourse is to leave a review urging anyone considering staying at this hotel to find another option. This is a horrible hotel and it should be closed.

The room was spacious but very run down. The decor was horrible. The furniture was old, chipped and absolutely disgusting. I requested a king size bed with a sofa sleeper. I am glad I was given the smaller beds, since I was not going to let my daughter sleep on the sleeper sofa after seeing how gross it was. We didn't even sit on it. My daughter and I shared a bed and my husband slept in the other. A double bed will not fit both my husband and I comfortably.
The Bathroom sink looked like it was going to fall off the wall, and it had no vanity. I had to use the filthy mirror next to the TV to get ready in the morning. I found curly body hair in the shower, so we didn't use the shower at all. The TV was filthy and kept glitching. The kitchen area was peeling the cupboards were old and the countertop was pulling away from the backsplash and wall. The fridge smelled like something died in it. I was extremely uncomfortable in this room. I checked out the mattress, it was fairly new, but the pillows were stained. Thank God I brought my own blankets and pillows. The wall colors reminded me of baby poo and pea soup. The place made my skin crawl.
The AC did work. The Laundry center was nice. No Grab and Go breakfast as promised. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I almost went and slept in my car. I picked this hotel because it was right next to the Embassy where my daughter's varsity team was staying and wanted to stay close since the Embassy was sold out a few weeks prior to me making 3 week advanced reservations. My service dog, friend and I stayed at 5050 e Grant, Tucson AZ. My dog is certified as a service dog and registered with the federal government. At check-in, they argued with me, saying she was NOT a service dog, just an emotional support animal. I tried to show her the certification paperwork. She wouldn't look at it and charged an extra $38 for her stay, which is ALL illegal. I had paperwork to prove it was also illegal. She got me so upset.

This is kind of long so grab a beverage, relax in your favorite chair and settle in for an interesting read. I have stayed in this hotel (Extended Stay America - Corpus Christi, TX) twice: for 6 weeks from the start of Oct 2023 thru mid November 2023 and for 6 weeks starting in late November 2023 thru mid January 2024. My experience both times was HORRIBLE! My complaints range from disrespectful staff - including the manager - to terrible, old, smelly rooms. But this incident takes the grand prize for having rude and incredibly irresponsible staff - again, this includes the manager.
This started about a week ago. One evening the fire alarm went off. So I quickly grabbed what I could, finally corralled my terribly frightened dog and made my way to the stairwell (because any idiot who has ever been in a large public building knows to take the stairs v. the elevator). I made it to the first floor (my room is on the 3rd floor at the western end of the building) and stepped into the hallway. From there, I could see a thick haze that extended nearly the length of the entire hallway.
I started to make my way to the lobby and out of the building when I came upon the issue that had triggered the alarm. It was a room that was also on the west end of the hotel...right below my room. There was a hotel employee holding the door to #108 open. The room itself was full of smoke. I asked the hotel employee what was going on and he told me the the occupant of that room had made a "mistake". He said that the man in the room was cooking something on the stove top and burned it. He said everything was fine and that I could go back to my room. My ex husband was a firefighter and often shared his experiences with me so I knew not to go back to my room until the fire department had cleared the building and deemed it safe to re-enter. I waited outside until I saw the firefighters removing their gear and put it away. I asked one of them if it was safe to go back in and he said it was.
Fast forward two or three days...late in the evening the fire alarm went off AGAIN! As before, I took my dog (who was once again terribly frightened) and headed to the stairwell on the west end of the building. As soon as I got to the first floor, I could see and smell the smoke. Much to my dismay, the reason for the alarm was because of the guy in 108 - AGAIN! And again, the hotel employee was holding the door to 108 open. and AGAIN he was telling everyone that it was just a "mistake" and that we can all go back to our rooms.
That's when my frustration and annoyance had turned into a level of anger that was off the charts. So, instead of quietly making my way outside, I went to the lobby to voice my concerns. Apparently I wasn't alone. The lobby was full of people that were just as angry as I was. One lady was screaming at the hotel employee (the same one that was sending people back to their room before the situation was completely under control and before the fire department had given the okay).
The lady wanted to know why that occupant was still here and if they allowed him to stay, why didn't they remove the stove from his room so he couldn't do this again. I also wanted to know that same thing so I joined her and others and started insisting that we deserved to know what was being done about this guy. He refused to answer any questions, refused to give any of us the manager's phone number and refused (or didn't know) what the hotel policy was on a situation like this.
When the "heat" from a room full of angry people got to be too much for him, he disappeared into the back area of the front office where we couldn't see him. He apparently called the manager at that time. A little while later, he came back and said the manager told him she would come in "extra early" the following day. My anger was at a boiling point so I was demanding that she come to the hotel, see what was happening and address the situation. The employee said the manager didn't want to deal with it that night but again promised to come in "extra early" to address it. I was beyond furious but there wasn't anything more that I can do so I finally went to my room. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep that night.
The next morning I had calmed down and got a little bit of sleep. I felt better and had calmed down. After thinking about the night before and how I had behaved and felt that I should offer an apology for some of my comments and the way I handled the situation. Right about then, the cleaning lady came to my room and told me that the hotel manager wanted to speak with me. I went downstairs with the intention of apologizing for my language and aggressive tone the night before. BUT...that didn't happen...not even close.
As soon as I walked into the lobby, she asked my name. I told her and at that point her tone completely changed. I started to walk towards the desk but only got a few steps before she started barking at me. The conversation that followed was too lengthy to recount here but here is the Cliff Notes version: Her first remark was to tell me that under no circumstances was I ever to address any of her employees or her that way I had the night before. She said that if she got even one more complaint about me, she would evict me from the hotel immediately and I would never be allowed back. She then followed that up with other baseless accusations. I tried to dispute some of her comments but she just chuckled and told me that she didn't believe anything I had said because her employee had told her something different. She then repeated her threat of conviction.
When I realized that she had no intention of even hearing me out much less doing something about, I asked her what she planned to do about the guy in 108 who had triggered the fire alarm. Her exact words were, "He is welcomed to stay as long as he wants to." I, once again, had reached a boiling point. However, as much as I hate to admit this, I currently don't have a Plan B. Extended Stay hotels around here that take dogs and don't cost a small fortune are practically non-existent. I would have to go a couple of hours away to find another one. So at the moment, she has me over a barrel.
I'm doing research to figure out what to do next. I've already contacted the Corpus Christi fire marshal and he confirmed (from a fire department perspective) that the way ESA hotel handled this situation was not the normal process of how a fire call in a public building is supposed to be handled. I've reached out to him again to get more details and to get a copy of the documents stating what the best practices are and what can happen if they are not followed.
Soooooo....I have made of list of ways that this can be handled. My main goal is to make this hotel follow proper procedures to keep their guests safe. And as tacky as this is going to sound, I want to make sure the hotel manager and her employee know that they cannot get away with threatening me. As you may have guessed by now, I'm a writer and have a way with words that can be very persuasive. By the time I'm done with this, all of Corpus Christi, the fire department, the police department, every newspaper, every news channel and ESA Corporate will be aware of this situation. If you know of any other path that I can follow, I would appreciate a response to this review.

They're stingy with towels etc. We got attitude the first night just asking for wifi info. Their signs in room say 'whatever you need, just call.' They have plumbing issues that was reported but nothing done for a week. The refrigerator makes loud noise continuously. There are multiple stray cats wandering around and meowing everywhere. The bed is not very comfortable. When asked for coffeemaker (like advised on their own room brochures) more attitude. When asked about housekeeping, more attitude and no help to set that up. For over $500 per week, you would expect MUCH BETTER service and professionalism!!! This place is a hot mess

First off, I blame myself for not reading the reviews about this place. If I had, I wouldn't be wasting my time writing this one. This was by far the worst hotel I've stayed in and I've been all over the world in the last 60+ years of staying in various hotels and locations. Don't bother contacting the hotel management, they know all about their problems and do absolutely nothing except lip service responding to their poor reviews on the various social media sites and Google. Case in point...I had an interaction with Alvin the front desk manager that would be grounds for firing at any location that cared about its clients, but as I read over other reviews I see that I'm not the first person to have a problem with this guy and yet there he is still giving grief to clients and they do nothing about him.
That's just a start...the rooms are nothing like they advertise, there are no cooking or eating utensils, no paper towels, no coffee maker, the bed was broken down and sounded like you were walking on crumbled aluminum foil every time you moved or rolled over, the floor was filthy with crumbs left from the previous guests, the toilets smelled of urine, and there wasn't a plug in the bathroom sink and it would clog up when you ran water because a toothpaste cap was down inside it blocking the water from draining. Then try and get a cup of coffee or their advertised "grab and go breakfast". What a joke, stale muffins, hidden under the table and cold coffee that you had to beg to get a cup to put it in and the coffee stations was filthy every day of our stay.
We should have known better with our initial contact when checking in; they gave us a folded stapled piece of paper containing one room key card instead of the professional key packet with their logo, wi-fi information, etc, but we were tired and just wanted to get checked in and some rest. Don't stay here. I will be posting this review on every social media site I can and let everyone know that this is one lousy place to stay and needs a serious management and owner change. Shame on Extended Stay America. It doesn't say much about you or your franchise.

First room the TV would not work and they said that the cable goes out when it rains and moved me to a new room across from the laundry area. The walls are paper thin and you can hear anything in the hallway. I wanted to sleep in and I was awoken at 8am to the cleaning crew talking trash for 30 minutes and it wounded like they were in the room with me. I checked out at 10:30. At 12:30 I received a notice from my credit card that I was charged an additional $265.00. I call the hotel and they said the room smelled like smoke so I was being fined. I do not smoke or vape or use nicotine products. I tried to explain there must be a mistake and she was very rude and basicaly called me a liar. I drove back to the hotel 4 hours later to confront the on duty person I talked to be she was gone.
I asked the front desk clerk to take me to the room and show me it smells like smoke. He did and we both agreed there was a mistake and he would leave a note for the manager. I talked the manager the next day and she basically called me a liar also, but said she would take off the charges if I did not smoke on my next stay. Again, I don't smoke. She does not have to worry about me on my next stay because I will never go back to those shady bastards again.

This room stinks. I have done all I can do to get this molded mildewed smell out of here. However, the attempts have been unsuccessful and it's making us all sick. As soon as the air is cut off it reeks horrible and smells even worse. I have mentioned this before with old management (all maintenance did was put boards over the mold) and I have mentioned this to new management. When I mentioned this to new management, I was explained I had to wait for a third party to be called to come out which led to another almost 2 weeks wait for them to half-fix the mold and still cover it up. I can no longer take this unbearable smell. I have since asked to move to another room and be downgraded as well but there is never a room available without carpet. My pets are trained but I still don't want any accidents on no carpet therefore I don't want a room with a carpet seeing that new management is now charging for everything.
When I made reservations through ESA online reservation, I told them I would be here for a year or two which is why I received a cheaper rate, and they were told about my support animals which is why I have never been charged for them. Hence, upon residing here I have endured in the first studio room 3rd floor $799.18 every 2 weeks: full of roaches crawling on the wall while cooking and crawling on me while asleep as well as coming under the door from the designated trash spots (they were loads of roaches crawling all on the wall and everywhere else and I would have to put a towel under the door), the mattress was unsanitarily soiled and full of brown and yellow stains and I did not want to lay on top of that!
When I sent old management photos, he nicely accommodated me to another room with double beds at the same rate. When I transferred to the 1st floor as an accommodation (room with double beds): I experienced noisy neighbors with kids stomping all day & night, mold in cabinets, roaches coming out the ceiling and everywhere else, spiders, rust in the oven, and water leaking out the bathroom ceiling flooding the floor, water dripping from the window because of the upstairs neighbors AC causing big puddles of water that constantly had to be fixed.
I spoke with the director (after 3 long weeks waiting and repeating calling customer relations to get this matter resolved to move to another room), and she was okay with me moving to the third floor and back in another room with no carpet at the same rate. Seeing I was being harassed by two other tenants who reside here (I have all the email & text documentation and photos to prove it) I didn’t want to move by them.
The couple cursed me out for sitting in the lobby when the lights went off after a storm because they felt I was invading their privacy. When I told management about it and wrote them numerous letters, they did NOTHING about it when the policy states if you are being harassed by another tenant and basically is disrespectful, they are supposed to be basically KICKED OUT, but it never happened. They told me “Oh they do everyone like that, and we don’t get into disputes we just call the police but personally, we don’t do anything.”
I then transferred to this suite paying $1038.80 every 2 weeks due to no other option because I could no longer take the noise of the 5 kids above me with the constant stomping etc, it was just too much. I have recordings of that as well that I sent to the regional manager when she finally called, and she heard it over the phone herself and agreed that was too much noise. I explained they couldn’t move them because they had moved before from the third floor, and they didn’t want to have to have the room out of commission to move them to the first floor. upon moving into this room water was coming from behind the wall flooding the bathroom uncontrollably every day until they patched it up and that was it.
Management then was aware of the mold just as well as maintenance, but it was covered up and not fixed. that whiteboard they put on the side was a cover-up. I then had to explain the sink was caving in on the sides and underneath and the only thing maintenance did was place the brown wooded board over the mold and leave it like it was. I then had to ask them to come back and paint where the shower head was because they left everything as is. Now the toilet in the living room must be shut off due to the noise in which I work from home and so now I have to endure them going behind the wall with all the noise that comes along with it to fix this when the maintenance man said no one should have ever been allowed to move in here. So now my 8-year-old niece and I must use one toilet and I have to be inconvenienced because of these problems.
Not to mention the Wi-Fi barely works as I have had a ticket open with Velocity since September 6th. As a person who resides in this hotel all that I have endured has been unsanitary conditions and maintenance, just patching things up instead of fixing them, watching residents sit outside and engage in drug use of all kinds, selling drugs on the property, living in U-Haul truck on the property, taking vehicles apart and fixing them on the property, basically everything goes on her and it's overlooked.
Upon signing up to stay with her I had two small pets which were entered into the system as my service animals because they are. NOW suddenly with new management they don’t see it in the system and want to start charging me saying it was never in the system. I have been living here since April. Why would I not include my pets that help me day to day emotionally? They are now also charging for ripped and stained towels, which majority of the time we get these towels they are already nasty and stained.
I have paid too much money to live here to experience all of this in the last 7 months. But as soon as you miss a payment management hunts you down like an animal and will be ready to put you out if payment is not received but does not keep codes up accordingly to make this place sanitary. I live here for a reason (as we all do) and regardless of the reason it doesn't mean taking advantage of my hard-earned money and doing what you want to do as if no one cares.

Corporate called me to explain why I am wrong - about everything. Horrible company. Stayed here over 10 years - never again. In-Town Suites does not. They are consistent and real.

On Dec 31st, due to some emergency at home, I made a reservation online (via Hotels.com), to stay at Extended Stay in South Brunswick from Dec 31st – Jan 2nd. When I reached the hotel, it was raining and I had my 2 kids (1 infant) with me, the receptionist named ‘Hamsa’ immediately told me that “I am not sure why hotel is allowing reservations because we are all booked, and we don’t have any room available.” I asked him, what should I do, he said ”You may have to look for another accommodation”. Then I asked him, “did you charge me for this reservation, he checked and confirmed: No, we did not charge you. You should be fine.” I left the hotel after then and went to ‘Royal Sonesta’.
After few days, I checked my credit card details and saw that I have been charged for the amount of $137.54. I called the hotel regarding this transaction, spoke to the receptionist named “Jasmine” she spoke to her manager “Maria” and they, after talking to ‘Hamsa, clarified that all I said is correct and apologized. However, they said - they did not charge me rather the hotels.com company charged me since I reserved through them and should get this amount refunded from them.
Then, I called hotels.com and their customer care team told me that since I choose to pay later at the time of reservation, you have been charged by the hotel. They again followed up with the manager and told me that their audit team has charged this amount on my credit card and asked me to open a dispute with the bank.
Reason for my dispute: First, the hotel failed to give me the accommodation based on my reservation and turn me down at the last minute even though I reserved. They can now do whatever they want since they have my credit card details? Second, the receptionist did not add any notes about what happened that night, they should have known what happens in such cases and guide the customer, instead they checked my reservation and confirmed they did not charge me.
Why are they charging me for ‘no show,’ when in fact I did show up and they failed to provide me the accommodation? How would a first time customer know that all this can happen to? Why did the hotel allow online reservation if they did not have any rooms available? No courtesy from the manager to call back, I have left my call back number with the hotel several times. Now I am circling back and forth, from bank to hotel, and explaining my case to every single person who takes my call to get the amount refunded.

Why is it that EVERY service company, be it phone, hotels, etc. ALWAYS have customer service reps from different countries you can barely understand? What is the aversion to hiring Americans to help people who actually live here so we can understand them. Cheap labor is more important than actual good customer service and communication. So sick of this country and Globalists making it miserable for the rest of us.

After my unexpected divorce, I was forced to make immediate decisions during my transition in life. I discovered Extended Stay America, which is located very near to my workplace. Needless to say, it was one of many of the best decisions I've ever made. I've been here for several months now along with my fur baby Jax, while preparing to move into our new home. I can't say enough great things about the manager Tim **, and his amazing front office staff. Especially (Sarah and Stacy). They have been my family of choice these last several months and because of them, my stay here has felt more like home as opposed to being in a hotel. The same is true for my German Shepherd Jax, who loves it here too, and especially loves swimming in the nearby pond. I would highly recommend the Extended Stay America, 1900 Lakepointe Dr address to anyone needing a safe and clean place to stay, either overnight, or for an extended stay of residence.

I, my daughter, and a small terrier mix dog stayed at the Extended Stay in Lakewood Colorado for a little over 2wks. It was good and I was treated very well. I checked out early, before a month had passed. Since I had gotten the room for a month, it was a different price. I paid the difference of approx $130.00. It was late in the afternoon and past check out time. My daughter was cleaning the room, because all the housekeeping employees were gone. Billy, who ran the front desk, said it was OK, as long as I gave him a 5 star review on the website. I said okay. I gave the hotel a great review, we had No problems previously, (that I was aware of)
I booked another reservation about 2 months later. My sister made the reservation in her name. I didn't have my debit card at the time. I had a fraudulent charge on it from La Quinta Hotel. Who was withholding $1,300 on my debit card and Also a charge of $1,200. They denied was even them. So anyway, we checked in and the reservation was 1 night in a king bedroom. And a room with 2 beds for the rest of 2 weeks. They did not have our double till the next day. So around checkout time the next morning, there was pounding on the door. It was the front desk employee and she said we needed to get out of the room within the hour. I explained we had another reservation. She stated, "No you don't." She said it was cancelled by the Manager, Haily, who said we were not to be able to stay and had told the manager the night before not to rent us a room.. I was dumbfounded and asked why? She said talk to Hailey.
I was going to go to the office and talk to her, when her and Billy, came to the door and said, "You need to get out NOW. You are not allowed to stay here." When I tried to find out why, it was, "You have another person, and Dogs, that you didn't claim." I explained about my sister making the reservation.. Anyway Billy said, and all the other problems we had before. I wanted to know what problems? Hailey said, late check out. I told her about my daughter cleaning the room and Billy was okay with it about the 5 star review. I said can you just listen to me. Hailey said to quit raising my voice at her or she was going to call the Police.. For What?? They would not discuss anything with me, and Billy was denying everything about when we checked out the last time.
These reservations were already paid for. We were kicked out, they kept coming back to the room and saying, leave. We were packing as fast as we could. I was trying to tell them that, we were both very sick. It was cold out, and we had nowhere to go to check in until 3:00. My daughter is in intensive care, at the hospital now.. With pneumococcal pneumonia, parainfluenza type 4 and sepsis. Her condition is really guarded right now, because it is very serious and she could die. I have never been treated like that before in my whole Life. I use to travel (I showed Dogs as a professional handler), I stayed at hotels all over the United States, never ever been treated like a piece of dirt. I am going through identity theft and hacked accounts online. So mostly paying with Cash. I hope this review can help some other bewildered person who gets the same treatment. Sincerely Corrinne **

Said it could take days to reinstate my booking while I was in the phone with them the day of the booking. Will never use this company again. Policy is such a scam. Checked on Aug 4 to room 209. Complained of getting bitten by bed bugs. Now if you was bitten before you know the feeling. Plus you could the fresh blood on the sheets near the front of the bed where they go hide after they bite you. Kept complaining. If you’re allergic to them you will feel when they bite. It’s a sting and then it itches extremely bad. Complained again on Aug 6th. Was moved again to room 223. Was bitten again. This time we even found a bug in the bathroom sink and when I called and spoke to corporate they told me they can’t get in there. Mistakenly wrong.. Yes they can. Pictures don’t lie. I was bitten all over my face and neck and arms and so was my daughter and 2 year old grandson and we had him leave to go stay elsewhere because it’s very good uncomfortable after you're bitten. Finally on the 9th was moved to rm 326. And was fine from there. So 5 days we was getting bitten.
They said they would have a outside company come check the rooms and upon their review the rooms had no bedbugs which I highly disagree. I showed them over 10 pics. Including the actual bed bug in the room and the declined to do nothing. No reimbursement or anything. I called corporate and they basically are going by what the outside concluded. But this is not sitting well with me. I paid over 1000 for those days and I need to be compensated for something. They offered nothing to me. I don’t recommend them at all.
I’m still trying to contact someone higher than whom I spoke to which was the district manager and the manager with the insurance company because if it was them I’m sure they would not easily just let this go and accept that they are dismissing the claim due to the outside company finding nothing. There’s no way we were moved from two rooms and they found nothing. I stayed at the Hilton and had no issues but I go to Extended stay and I get bit up. I will keep this review updated.

100% the worst hotel in my 60 years of Hotels. I am in the service industry & know service. I stayed July 23, 2022 for one night at the Extended Stay America, Middleburg Cleveland Ohio with my 8 year old daughter in Room 321. Room 323 adjacent partied and played heavy heavy beat super loud music ALL NIGHT LONG with no break. Our walls were literally vibrating. I called the front desk no less than 5 times and the only thing they did was supposedly call the room, sent nobody up, and did nothing basically. Not safe for use to address the neighbor room nor our job. We checked out early as nobody had slept and when I addressed it with the front desk, she (Lan) said she had just come on duty but asked why we did not call the police. I said it is not our job as paying guests who expect reasonable comfort, care, safety and consideration from the hotel and to provide an environment that is safe, quiet, and comfortable.
I have called Extended Stay and Priceline and filed a complaint but nobody has even attempted to get back or contact me. This hotel showed no regard for its guests, their comfort, care, or safety, nor apparently does ownership as we have heard nothing. I am expecting a refund in full for the night, and deservedly so. Again, I have been in the hospitality and service industry for 40 years and this was absolutely the worst hotel stay and customer service I have ever had. Extended Stay America and/or Priceline, will you please follow up so a paying guest of yours feels that their experiences and service provided are important to ownership and management or is the guest experience not important?

Probably the worst experience I have had in a hotel (flagging career we were often holes up in 1 star motels that were much better). I was told over the phone I had a room with 2 beds. Apparently it was 1 bed and a pull out. I was told there were no other rooms available, then when I called on the phone miraculously other rooms were available besides that one. There was no bedding in the room. I had to get that at front desk. Remnants from pets left on the floor smeared and sticky. About 4 inch wide dust bunnies all around the room. The icing on the cake was hearing the staff making fun of my special needs kiddo and 2 cats as we move half way across the country, then to get an "oh, sorry!" As I came around to the desk.

There literally are no perks to membership with this company. Instead of seeing reduced rates with increased stay days, you’ll see the daily rate go UP, often by $25 per day, even in the middle of the work week. Nonetheless the TV was broken, the alarm clock was not set to the correct time and the bathroom sink was clogged! My husband tried to plunge it with a cup. All we had no one came to fix it. When I bent down to plug the clock in behind the bed it was so dirty with dust balls and garbage. Definitely not cleaned back there. I was grossed out! We were not able to connect to the free WIFI either. When I asked the front desk for help I was just given a card with instruction that still did not work. Very disappointed I asked to speak with the manager and was told, "He is not on site but no worries I'll have him email you." That never happened.
I placed a call and made a complaint. I was told you get a call back within 2 days. That never happened either. I called again a week later and was told we had the incorrect phone # on file? I asked again to speak to a manager and was told they are busy with someone else. "I will have Desha return your call when she free." Well still waiting on Desha's return call. So disappointed with this hotel. I will not give them my business ever again.

This is THE most horrible experience I ever had in my entire life as far as hotel industry is concerned. We were moving out of state and booked in Extended Stay America, Irvine, CA for a month. We especially booked a room which had a sleeper sofa as we wanted one pull out couch for my daughter to sleep and also me and my husband were working from home so needed a place to sit. As soon as we moved in the very first day we noticed that the pull out couch was broken and no one can sleep on it. No utensils were provided, hot plate was not working, there were holes in the screen on the windows. We reached out at the front desk and the lady said that we do not have any rooms available and this is all they have. Obviously we are not gonna go looking for a place to stay as there was no availability anywhere at the last min.
We requested if only the couch could be replaced as the couch could not be used at all. They said, "Not possible" very rudely. They did not even fix our hot plate for 2 weeks. All this time we have been extremely patient with all the issues we were having. After 3 weeks we found a place and decided to move out. When I went to inform them that I am moving out and to get our final bill, I asked her very nicely if they could give some discount. Lady at the front desk said in fact we owe them as we are checking out one week early (their reservations rates are weekly and not monthly). She said we have to pay now daily rate and as our rate was monthly which was completely nonsense as I have their email clearly stating weekly rate. Suddenly this manager comes out of nowhere and starts yelling at me saying "you guys all want to stay for free", go stay for free, go I give you everything for free".
I was so shocked to see his this behavior. It was an extremely racist comment I have ever heard in my life that too in a place like Orange County, California. Seriously!!!! I am paying them $3700 to stay in a hotel --does he think I am so cheap or broke or here for a scam that I would in my right mind say that I want to stay for free? I called their customer service so many times to complaint and no one is calling me back and keep saying someone will call. This is so frustrating and disappointing to be treated like this. I seriously want to take this up further as that manager should be fired. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone in my life. MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER.

About 4 days before my stay ended, someone broke into my car in the parking lot. My doors were locked, & no glass was broken, but items (not in view) were taken. A few days later, the day before I was to check out, a hotel worker entered my room while I was out for about an hour, and took money and an external storage drive that contained valuable data. The manager had the passkey mechanism on my room door analyzed, and determined which worker had the key that was used. Remarkably, the worker seemingly vanished afterwards, and I was subsequently told that he would not be returning.
I wasn't satisfied with this, so I filed a report with the police, and said that I would like to prosecute if the person were located. This is now over 7 weeks later, and I haven't been contacted, so I assume that nothing has been done. I created a review on Yelp - for this particular location of Extended Stay America (East Syracuse, NY) - and I am now creating this one, because I want to "pay it forward" with my experience, because I may be able to save someone else the frustration of returning to their room to find things missing, and a guest shouldn't have to worry about having their property stolen every time they leave the room.

We checked in on 2 May thru 21 August and had a number of major issues with this Extended Stay America chain...We paid a total of 300 for a pet fee which was to be used to reclean the room for the next customer BUT this hotel was sold to a new owner and they are going to totally renovate all rooms so they keep the pet fee in place to simply earn extra on it. Secondly, due to COVID we were suppose to have a room cleaning every 2 weeks BUT after 3.5 months we never had a single room cleaning. THEN the air conditioning unit started leaking water and flooded the carpet for over a 10 days with no attempt by the hotel to fix it because it was sold to a new owner.
Thirdly, we did get a set of clean sheets once which turned out to contain bedbugs which my husband had a large number of bites from the new bed sheet. Fourthly, we had booked a 2 week period due to a house construction delay for a set rate and keep extending the reservation due to construction delays and made payments when asked assuming the set rate continued which is what he were told when we checked in if we did have to extend. BUT when the billing was printed out we discovered that the rates varied well over 25 times during the period roughly 15 to 30 dollars more per day over what we had booked for with the explanation that well if you extended then we could change the fee structure.
After three calls to the Customer Service number and getting a Case Number we were told we would receive feedback within 24 to 48 hrs...Now 72 hrs later still no response from anyone concerning our complaints. Finally, we were told that with the new owners we had to pay the last 4 days immediately or have the room locked and we were told this and given 15 minutes to pay or be locked out.
I pointed out we were shifting money from our bank savings acct to the checking acct and would be able to pay in the morning with no problem. Or we could hand them a check to cover the cost until the money shifting around was completed and then we could pay. That was rejected as they only take cash or cards. Even Extended Stay America Customer Service attempted to get the delay in place and it was rejected as well. Remember as customers with over 3.5 months and spending well over 6300 they would still not wait until the next day to be fully paid.
So no room cleaning services for 3.5 months, wet carpets for 10 days, bed bug bites and a walk in shower that had massive black mold, a new owner that drove constant paying, being locked out AND a Extended Stay America Customer Service that was totally unresponsive are reasons to avoid ever using any Extended Stay America. One of the worst experiences we have ever had with a hotel or extended stay hotel. Would never recommend using Extended Stay America hotels.

Arrived at 8am the morning of the stay after no sleep from driving through the night just to be told I could not check in until 3 because there were no rooms available. I explained the situation and the front desk lady was extremely rude from the beginning saying she doesn't know who I talked to on the phone because it wasn't her. We were told they had no contact with their housekeeper and didn't know when she would be coming in to start cleaning rooms. I asked for the manager's number and was told they couldn't give out the number. I was told they couldn't clean a room for us without manager approval yet could not get ahold of the manager.
I sat in the lobby with my 6 year old daughter for 3 hours waiting on my room to be ready. Finally was told the housekeepers showed up and would have it cleaned soon. The rude front desk lady then disappeared for an hour (had 4 guests in the lobby waiting 20 + minutes to check out) and when she returned my daughter went to the front desk to ask if our room was ready and was YELLED at by the front desk lady saying our room wouldn't be ready until 3! I was so frustrated by the wasted 3 hours we waited hoping this staff would give any effort to fix the situation. Her excuse now was that one of her housekeepers had to leave for a "family emergency".
The front desk lady called the police on us when literally all we were doing was sitting in the lobby waiting on the room that we already had paid for and reserved. The police show up and inform us that any employee had the right to refuse service so we did in fact have to leave, but they felt so bad for us they drove us around to other hotel options and informed us that they have a lot of problems out of that hotel especially with staff. My daughter has never had any encounters with the police so she was distraught from this event and balling her eyes out as it was happening. It is a week later now and I have yet to hear back from the "manager" even though I've called asking to speak to her many times. Will never be booking with this hotel again.

At Extended Stay Woodbridge NJ, Management Does not care to correct fixable issues. I stayed for an extended stay and was entitled to rate adjustments. Management and guest relations are not helpful. If a hotel is called Extended Stay then allowances should be made for people that Extended their Stay consistently. I also had a bank discrepancy when someone swiped my card without authorization. I contacted my bank but esa has not helped me figure out how this happened. As a journalist my first thought is to put pen to paper. As a guest I am saddened. The rooms are decent and the cleaning staff is top-notch, but what does that all mean if management don't value the complete guest experience. The prices are about $100. a night which is around the same price as other hotels, unless you like the area find another chain until they get the kinks worked out in that establishment.

First, the cleaning service ESA is to provide does not happen. Your room is supposed to be cleaned every 2 weeks. For the last 4 months I have had to go down to the front desk each time to remind them. If I am lucky it gets cleaned the following week, again if I am lucky. They're so poor downstairs they cannot even write my room number on a piece of paper - it’s called a schedule. Further, they allow people to throw their bags of garbage in the hallway rather than take it to the trash room.
Next, you have heard the saying you get what you pay for, well sometimes you don’t even get that. The Internet service here is awful. You will be lucky if you can stay connected for 30-45 minutes without being knocked off several times. Further, you can only connect one device so if you have a desktop or laptop and a newer printer that connects to the Internet, you will only be able to use one! That is if you can get a connection. Only WiFi is allowed in these buildings. I offered to pay for myself Comcast or another Internet provider but they won’t let you. So, you're stuck.
The new people they hired for downstairs hide in the backroom, so expect to need to yell or raise your voice to get their attention. If that was not bad enough they raised the rent starting this past June 1. I am only here because this place is cheap and I am going through a divorce. Once my divorce finishes I am out here faster than a bolt of lightning. Oh, also you cannot really walk any place from here so you better have a car. I would give this place zero stars if I could.

breakfast (?) Poof. Gone. Their cleaning crew (?) Poof. Gone. As long as they presented a clean (pretend front) in the lobby, that was all they needed. And now the penny pinching manager could cut payroll (increasing her profit sharing? Unknown).
The employees which remained or came and went, and came and went (4 assistant managers? at least over my 1 year exile) and the numerous housekeepers that complained about management, which I would not take at their word if it weren't for the long term and semi long term ''guests'' who made the same accusations about the manager being (most commonly used) FAKE, and untrustworthy. As the prices steadily climbed what considerations I once received became non-existent. I could go on for far longer, but I will bottom line it. I praise all the is in heaven above which allowed me to extract myself from the blood suckers which run it.
** Occasionally I would be asked to review my stay and the only time I did I was honest (they don't like that) and the manager was on the phone questioning me, and also said, "Just give us 9 o 10's please".*** Following up on that thought, upon my exit I received an email from the district manager who I suspect is only that because she was a terrible manager (my opinion. as I found she had abysmal people skills) wrote asking me to review my year there *only if I give 9 or 10's???
SO LIE THEN? I said ''I dare you to ask me again, I dare you'' she never did, and I would have left it alone, until I looked to see the going rate as my friend is temporarily between homes and after seeing the 1899.00 I felt the need to review.

I stayed here for a few days, and decided to extend to my stay one more day and they treated me like a we guest check in and wanted to charge me a early check in fee when I was already checked in and just wanted to extend one more night. I used to work at a Extended Stay and we never ever did that to existing guest just new walk ins. This is a very shady tactic to steal money in these pandemic times we are in and they know people are struggling. On top of that room didn't have proper supplies neither and we had to spend more money for basic essentials also. This hotel is good as far as cleanliness and peace of mind, but the greediness and money Grabbing policies they have make no sense whatsoever!

My mother has been staying at the Extended Stay America in Malvern, PA since early 2020. Her room phone has not worked well for at least the past 6 months. The line keeps disconnecting while actively on the phone something I’ve experienced firsthand. The phone has been replaced at least 4 times, multiple complaints have been made to the front desk and even to ESA via Twitter but the problem still persists. ESA shouldn’t charge paying customers for using a defective phone line service. Money needs to be refunded to my Mom for the multiple line disconnects and phone service should be fully repaired.
I will have no choice but to report this matter to the state attorney general’s office in PA and ESA headquarters state AG, in addition to the BBB, social media platforms, local media, and local and state public officials. Perhaps the Public Utilities Commission could get word in this issue too. This is a consumer protection issue the Consumer Protection Bureau could investigate as well. We just want to the problem to be resolved before going to these measures. Last the man at the front desk at the Malvern PA location has been extremely rude to my mother as of 5/24/2021, 1:30p EST.

This hotel has cockroaches, and they say they will spray, then don't. They said they can't change you rooms because the cockroaches are running from room to room. Drug needles littering parking lot, broken glass, trash cans overfilled not being emptied. Unsafe for you and your pets. The Regional assistant manager has no manners toward guests whatsoever. He is very rude when you approach him with any issue, very unprofessional. Best to take your money elsewhere!!!

I would like for someone to review my complaint at their earliest convenience possible please. My name is D.R, in the month of April of 2021, my family and I stayed at Extended Stay America Hotel for a few days. I had never been more humiliated and degraded by the front desk staff of any place like I was on April 29th, 2021. To the point where front desk not only humiliated my children, my mother and myself to the point where San Dimas Sheriff was called to kick us out on the street with all of our belongings due to a “miscommunication” error between the front desk staff.
That morning I attempted to renew our stay for a couple more nights when I was told that I had not paid for FOUR days of my stay. I had no idea what they were talking about. I told them that it had to be an error and provided them with my bank statements to prove that I owed nothing, except the payment of the two extra nights we intended to extend. At the moment I was not making sense that the front staff were not hearing me out or even acknowledge the bank statements I was providing them with, until I clearly overheard one of the front desk staff, step aside and told the other staff associate that it was a Sunday, therefore they could easily book our specific room at a higher price, since I had used a promotion code.
When I attempted to show them my bank statements (again) the male staff immediately picked up the phone and told me “I am calling the police so they can kick you out”. I was embarrassed, humiliated, ashamed and frustrated. I told them that I would wait for the police there to show them my statements so they could clearly see that I never owed four days of stays. I waited for the police to arrive and showed them my statements. At this point the female staff goes to the back office and immediately returns telling me “sorry it was a miscommunication error, between staff and you do not owe anything”.
The reason why I waited to contact you regarding this complaint is because I am a cardiac patient. Epilepsy. And also have a cardiac Pacemaker. I was so shaken up, that we were kicked out into the street, with all our things that I had chest pains for four days following the incident. All of this is unacceptable because due to a “staff miscommunication error” my health was affected. Only so they could book the same room at a higher price since there were only few rooms available that weekend. Please allow me to get in touch with the proper complaint department because what they did to me and my kids was the lowest I had ever been treated. Thank you.

We have been staying here for a few months while looking for an apartment and getting adjusted. We have stayed here before and had a wonderful experience however this time the service is horrible and the employees will do what they feel is in their best interest. We have gone without plumbing, been yelled at in front of other guests, overcharged, and that’s just the tip of it. It’s frustrating and aggravating when an employee who works here looks down on you for staying here and makes you feel less than. I’ve tried to talk with corporate and gotten nowhere in any of the situations that have come about with the issues.

After this reservation I will never stay at one of your hotels or should I say motels again. Make a reservation (as seen above) and when you arrive, you get, "Sorry I don't have a room for you" and corporate doesn't check with the hotel, they just make reservation that the hotel can not keep. I showed up with my family and dogs and was told on a Friday night that all they could do is cancel my reservation so that I will not be charged. Can you believe it?!!! I am going to get charged if I don't cancel a reservation that they can't honor.
So when I called the reservation line I was told that maybe another hotel in the area might have a room and was given their number to call. When I ask if they could call and confirm, (after waiting more than 5 minutes on the phone for them to answer), I was told no that they were not allowed to call the hotels, and that I would have to. So if you are traveling my recommendation is not to call or even think about staying at one of these hotels unless you want to be sleeping in your car for the night. I will also post this on every website that I can find.

First, I would like to say that this is the first time I have stayed at Extended Stay America. My wife and I move out of our nice 3 large bedrooms apartment and decided to go and live in a Extended Stay before moving to Germany. Second, I would like to thank those at extended stay who do their best to help and make things go smoothly! These are the ones who should be commended for their hard work. One thing I will say is that the manager at this extended stay have tried to resolve most of these problems. But sometimes, their hands are tied and this where a lot of the problems are with. Third, the COVID-19 virus has had a big impact on the way things are run at these extended stays and even other hotels.
The problems that I have encountered are those where people walk around with no masks, people playing loud music in their cars at night and early in the morning, children riding their hoverboards in the laundry room and around the extended stay, people smoking on the steps and people just throwing trash out everywhere. We pay about $1200 to $1300 for a room with a kitchenette. I am thankful but you would think that a place that is making good money from a lot of long term rentals could do a whole lot better. We chose to stay here because we wanted to save some money and get some peace and quiet.
The police have been been called out several times to different types of disturbances. The problems that I see is that this place do have any cameras on the 2nd and 3rd 3rd floors. The manager, security, and the on duty employees can only see what going on the ground floor and not the other floors. That why there is a lot things going on the 2nd and 3rd floors that they can not see. This extended stay has a lot rooms and you need cameras to be able to monitor what is going on. The company should really invest in getting cameras on these floors because of all the gun violences and other violences that are going on in our country. The guests should feel safe and have a good time at these extended stay.

Affordable and convenient locations that provide an ample amount of space in their rooms with the necessary tools/amenities while being accessible to various services, restaurants and recreational venues. They usually provide shuttle service that is great for when on a weekend trip or quick-cation. Service is not always consistent, as each location can be quite different, but they're usually satisfactory for what I'm paying.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I never leave bad reviews but my experience was so horrible I have to. I booked on Priceline and arrived at 3AM. When I got to the front desk I was there for 10 minutes and no one came out. I had to call the hotel line for someone to come out front. She (Bonnie) hung up on me. She came to the front and said “Oh we overbooked” so there was no room. This was highly unlikely considering I called the next day and the hotel had no history of being overbooked, nor did Priceline. I asked if I could use the public restroom in the lobby since I had been driving all night. She told me no only employees can and sent me away. She charged me $110 for my stay that I DIDNT EVEN HAVE. She didn’t recommend me anywhere else. I just had to drive until I found something. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. DO NOT STAY HERE.

I have stayed at hotels and motels in this country and out and I have never stayed in a place that did not clean your room or at least ask if you wanted it clean. And yes I have stayed at other extended type hotels that I have never had to ask to get room cleaned. If you do want it clean you have to pay for it. If you want towels you have to talk to office to get new ones. No one dumps the garbage either. On top of that shelving falling down or not usable. Curtains that do not close all the way. Shower heads pointed at wall and not able to turn toward center of shower so you have to stand up against the wall. No ways to sweep floors or do your own cleaning. And they want the same price as those that do clean your room so why am I having to pay the same rate. Biggest joke in the hospitality industry. And it isn't mentioned till after you pay and to find it you have to go deep to find it.

I was a loyal customer and when I made the decision to move out, the new manager would not hold my mail for me to pick up until I could get everything sorted out. This is how they showed me appreciation for my loyalty. If we can not make money off of you anymore, we have no more use for you. Matter of fact... we are going to create an inconvenience for you.... I hope you find peace and joy in doing so.

Hands down this particular location in my opinion is the best one!

My husband and I have been staying at the Extended Stay America in Waltham Massachusetts (52 Fourth Ave) and they have been wonderful. We have had the pleasure of meeting the property manager (**) who is kind and willing to help with anything you may need. The assist manager to our building (**) is truly a kind and compassionate human being. She helped us reverse our taxes since our stay was over 90 days. She always has a kind word and a smile for everyone. The Assistant Manager at the other building (**) is also a very kind and compassionate person. Even if she is not at this building she is always willing to help. The staff makes you feel comfortable and at home. We see ** the most as we stay to ourselves but each and every encounter we have had with staff is pleasant. If you need assistance they are there for you. This is an excellent place to stay if you have long term requirements in the Boston area.
