We were extremely disappointed with our stay and will not be returning. When we arrived on Friday, our room was a freezing at 55°. The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain, and despite calling on the front desk twice, it was never fixed. We were out all day, only to return and find that our room hadn’t been cleaned. When we asked about it, the front desk staff from the previous night claimed she didn’t know anything about it and blamed it on the hotel being fully booked. Excuses were plenty, but actual help was not existent. This is a terrible experience, and we will never stay at this hotel again.

It's understandable to expect a warm, comfortable room, functional amenities, and attentive service, Tom. The experience and the lack of responsiveness you described are disappointing, and we regret this situation impacted your visit so negatively. Their attitudes were very bad. Every day it was another person with a nasty attitude. We’ve been nothing but respectful. Gossiping about other guests in front of other guests. Stormed in our room while I was naked. Didn’t even give me a chance to open the door. Took money away from my deposit and still haven’t explained it.

We regret to hear about your experience. Guest comfort and respectful service are top priorities, and what you've described is not the standard we strive for. We want to share this with the hotel's management for review. Please send us a direct message with your reservation details and privatinformationon so we can look into this further and assist in resolving any outstanding concerns regarding your deposit. -Kathy

I had a terrible experience with Comfort Inn & Suites in Mt. Laurel due to their dishonest and inconsiderate customer service. I initially made a mistake while booking and called to modify the date. The manager refused to modify the reservation but told me they could cancel it if I made a new reservation with the correct date. Trusting them, I booked again.
Unfortunately, three days before my check-in, I got COVID and the flu. When I called to cancel, they refused and told me the only way to cancel was to book another future reservation. Desperate and unwell, I followed their instructions—only to be told afterward that none of my reservations would be canceled and I was charged multiple times. This hotel took advantage of my situation, misled me into making more reservations, and refused to provide any flexibility despite my sickness. Their lack of compassion and deceptive policies cost me hundreds of dollars. Avoid this place at all costs if you value honesty and decent customer service!

We hope you're feeling better, Kiran. We understand how important it is for you to cancel your reservation, especially in your situation, and we greatly regret that you didn't receive the assistance you deserve. We want to look into this for you, so we hope you can PM us the name on the reservation, arrival date, and the hotel's exact address. Customers service was very bad. No one was at the front desk. Waited 30 mins to get checked in. First room had no internet. Went down to talk to front person at the counter. Called. Also didn't answer the phone. Again, she was not there. After changing room, bathroom room was nasty. Next Morning breakfast was cold and there was no coffee or orange juice was provided.

On Dec 5 I went online to reserve a room at the Comfort Inn in Rochester MN, the receipt charged me $609.89 for a four day stay. That was fine. On Dec. 23 a charge of $384.62 was charged to my credit card. When I called the hotel I was told it was for smoking in the room. Both my wife and I smoke, we never smoked in that room. I told them to look at surveillance videos and they would see us going out into the freezing cold at all hours of the night and sitting in my truck to smoke. The man (Adam) was very rude and abrupt and would not even consider listening to me. I called, emailed the customer service department over a dozen times trying to resolve the issues and received nothing but the complete runaround. Still have no resolve. I am cancelling my membership to Choice Hotels and WILL NEVER stay at another one of their brand again....

They said they sent pest control to room and they found nothing, and said that the bug I gave them was not a bed bug, take a look at the picture, it’s a bed bug!! Place smells and is dirty. My wife stayed at the Comfort Inn in Brownwood Texas and we do not recommend staying there at all. We will not be back. All around mediocre hotel, remote did not work, tv barely did, pillow had stains, old food crumbs on carpet. The main reason we will not stay again is the owner, lady was very rude when we asked her about the remote and dirty pillows to be attended to. Go to the Best Western in Brownwood, great service. Our new place.

Rick, after reading your comment, we also feel disappointed by what you experienced at our property. Lack of cleanliness, maintenance issues, and inappropriate answers from the hotel's staff are certainly not part of what we want our guests to encounter. I booked a room for Dec 24th, asked and was assured we would have a bottom storey room with one king size bed. Upon arrival I was met with a not so much interested person in what I had reserved, and told me they did not have a bottom storey room available. She gave us room 221. After we had unpacked, had my best friend and my sister over to open gifts, then went to do little shopping. I tried to turn on the TV and it would not work, tried to call downstairs but the phone would not work either🙄. I got dressed, went downstairs and a new lady was there, she was friendly and had us move to room 121.
I had wanted downstairs to begin with, so I questioned why I was told there wasn’t availability on that floor. She had no idea, so we packed and moved to room 121 only to discover that the refrigerator had been unplugged and the floor was soaking wet. I called the lobby and she brought 3 white towels to put in the floor but never offered us another room. She said maybe that’s why the other lady said there was no rooms on that floor. We ended up staying in 121 and my husband pulled the fridge out checked it out, plugged it in and we were able to use it for our ice cream we with us. He soaked up as much water as he could, and we tried to step over the wet carpet as much as we could during the one night stay.
I am very disappointed with Comfort Inn. I wonder why the bed was so hard it felt like we slept on concrete. They aren’t so hard in other places. The pillows were yucky gross, (smelled like hair products ) and were dirty! They were so small we would have had to use 3 of them to make one. We did not use them! The smell was too much, too strong. The parking lot was nasty, and the little roof over where the picnic table was, was really nasty and why would you not put a roof over the thing to keep us dry? We walked our 7lb dog in the mud in the parking lot because the grounds were so full of trash, like clothes hangers, candy wrappers, beer and soda cans. The grill was a complete mess, (not sure it belonged to Comfort Inn or a consumer) but the grill part that you cook on, was laying on the ground away from the main part of it!
Nasty is the only word I can think of to use about our entire experience at Comfort Inn in Eldorado Arkansas and we will never book a room there for any reason again. The lady that worked the evening shift even told me she was quitting the following day. Not one person that worked there seemed bothered by the fact that we paid $145 to stay there, and no interest in fixing what was wrong with the place or our stay!!
We have stayed at different Comfort Inns over the years and I have never been so unhappy as I am with this one. I almost called to get us a different Hotel for the night, but I didn’t. I was told on the phone that I could book the room with a debit card, then pay with a different card on arrival, but the lady at the front told me I could not and that the $145 was already taken from the debit card! Good gracious the entire stay was just so messed up!!! I wish I would have just canceled the card payment, and went to another place! Don’t stay there! Take my advice and find another place to stay! This is the first time I have written a review on any hotel, so yeah, it was not the nicest place. They had running water and the Heat and Ac worked that's 2 stars from me!

We usually make it a common practice when we travel to stay at a Comfort Inn, well from the condition and staff from the comfort inn in Brecksville Ohio, this most likely will be the last time we ever stay in one. Our first attempted room had a broken shower stem so there was literally no warm or hot water in the shower, the new room was just as nasty. Hair that didn’t belong to us was literally all over the floors and tub in the bathroom, the bed wasn’t made up accordingly as someone made it then took a break resting or laying on it, the breakfast on the weekend is what I would consider something I would ask a vet if it was ok to give to my dog. Don’t come here, you're better off finding a park bench for the night, you will be happier

Next morning my cousin tried to brush her teeth and a roaches had gotten in her plastic bag with her toothbrush.😡My brother said the coffee maker and tray had roaches!! My daughter was there to check us out and was so sorry she booked us at this hotel!!!
Customer service was very nonchalant. Offered to give her a refund of $.20.00 per room!! No help from the home offices!! Health dept needs to help. I see where there are other reviews stating roaches were found here. My daughter had to take us to Cracker Barrell to eat before leaving for back home. I think it is disgusting that they know that they have roaches because they offer a meager refund. I pray the other Comfort Inn and Suites chain doesn’t have the same issues!! Sad situation.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn at Norfolk airport and were given a room from hell. The air conditioning/heater unit was visibly full of dust and dirty as was behind the bed headboard. The bathroom fan was loud like a lawnmower and the TV didn't work. We asked for another room but there was none available. I had to find the maid vacuum cleaner to clean out the heating unit dust. This place is the worst experience we’ve ever had in a hotel. Or almost anywhere else. The manager came barging into our room wide-eyed scaring my wife to death. I called the police and when they got here my wife just wanted to leave. We didn’t try to press charges not even sure if we could, but mainly my daughter and my wife just wanted to leave. The cleaning ladies stole my wife’s Maybeline kit the first day but gave it back after accused saying it was an accident. Sure it was. Why did she still have it then?
We should’ve left after that but we gave her the benefit of the doubt. All the guests ended up in the hallway watching this guy go insane as they called the police as well. We ended up having to stay there for two more hours to give our statements. And they took statements from the others as well. Cops said they might call us for more information but my wife said please don’t. The look in the officers’ eyes were telling. She said, “we’re here weekly.” And that they’re working on this place.” My wife and I would like to thank the Wethersfield Police Department and all those officers who showed up and handled such a strange and oddly violent situation with such grace, making my daughter, and my wife feel much more at ease.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn on Ringgold Chattanooga, Tn Oct 8-17-24. The staff at the desk the morning after I checked in was RUDE. I called from my phone since the phone in my room didn’t work and my toilet was plugged. After 2 hours nobody showed so I called back and the desk person said, "Well you never called." It’s day 6. I still don’t have a phone, they did fix the toilet. They do have a breakfast, but it’s on the other end of the motel. It’s very inconvenient if you’re staying on the backside of the motel and have mobility issues.
There’s no parking at the front of the building so that guests in the back can park in the front to get to the breakfast area. Then there’s signs for vending machines on the 2nd floor so I go down to the 2nd floor and it’s clear on the other end of the motel. But there’s no vending machine. It’s a snack area that has a cash register but most of the snacks are sold out. Granted this was a cheaper motel, but I’ve stayed at inexpensive motels before and had BETTER service and BETTER experiences. I will NEVER stay at one of these motels again. Once I realized I was in the direct path of the hurricane, I reached out to Hotels.com to cancel the reservation. I was just a few hours outside of the cancellation window. They reached out to the hotel directly in the hopes of having the cancellation penalty waived given the hurricane...and learned the manager was gone for the day and the front desk clerk wasn't authorized to cancel without penalty. Hotels.com indicated they would call back the next morning to speak with the manager.
The next morning... Hotels.com called again to speak with the manager... Again in an attempt to have the cancellation penalty waived due to Hurricane Beryl...they were told the penalty would not be waived and I would be charged $228.34. On 7/9/2024, I logged into my credit card account only to see that Comfort Inn & Suites charged me for the ENTIRE stay...$640.32. I have attempted to contact the manager of the location with no luck. Plus the continental breakfast is shoddy at best. It's the absolute worst I've ever had. Took one bite of those powdered eggs and over cooked sausage if you want to call it that. Trashed it. I've had better meals during Vietnam eating C-rats. The rooms were ok. Just Basic. I will never stay in a comfort inn ever again.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Shepherdsville, Kentucky in January of 2024. Upon arrival and check in I discovered my room had no heat. I went to the front desk and was informed that I could move to a room on the second floor, here comes the problem. I had just had back surgery early in the week and couldn’t climb stairs, the elevator was not working so I had to stay in the room with no heat and 1 extra blanket. I filed a complaint with headquarters and was awarded 20,000 points.
In April I planned a weekend getaway with my wife to Helen, Ga. I called headquarters and made reservations for April 27-29. I asked repeatedly on the phone with the agent about the using the points and was told yes the points would be applied. When I checked in I paid for 2 nights in cash. Well our stay was not good. The pool was closed, the washer and dryer didn’t work, and for the time we were there our room was not cleaned. Front desk people were friendly but knew nothing about the area. Upon check out we were informed our debit card was hit with the charge for the 29th and we would have to call corporate for the refund.
On April 30th, we contacted corporate and started the process for our refund. On May 4th we were informed that the points were not applied because I booked the rooms wrong. Conveniently they found the recording of me making the reservation and said I agreed to pay $150 for the 29th. So now I am out $150 plus tax for a free night's stay. This motel chain is ridiculous to deal with. The people answering the phones for them speak only broken English and are not capable of helping you at all. For over 30 years I have stayed at Raddison owned hotels. Well that is all changing now, I will never stay at another one. I hope they take the money I was charged and get their phone operators English lessons. What is sad is I paid a $100 for a 4 night 5 day stay at a resort they offered me. Needless to say I won’t be using it. I advise everyone to use any hotel except one owned by Raddison, they do not care about customer service or their customers.

If I was able to give a lower number than one I would. We arrived on the 5th of April to the Comfort Inn in Beaufort SC. Upon entering our room there was a cockroach on the wall and remnants of food littered beneath the pull-out couch, which is where my daughter was to sleep. There were revolting stains on the curtains as well. When we went to complain there were no other rooms available. We had to run out quickly at 10:30 pm to find a store open to get supplies in order to sleep in the room. We bought garbage bags for our luggage so no other cockroaches would get in (if there were any more) and also picked up Lysol and bug spray. When we finally got the room debugged in order to finally sleep it was near midnight.
We were then woken by the fire alarm at 12:45 am … because somebody was smoking ** in their room which you could smell throughout the floor. We had to evacuate the building as the Fire Department was on their way to assess the hotel. Finally we got to bed and slept at 2am. Had to get up at 6am for the Marine Graduation. We barely had four hours of sleep after driving 15+ hours to get to SC. The next day after the graduation was complete we got in contact with the general manager of the building, Steven **. Even after all the issues with the food on the floor and bugs in the room they didn’t even clean the room while we were out! Despite voicing our grievances to Steven **, the general manager, our concerns were met with token gestures, a mere $20 discount that hardly covered the expenses we incurred to salvage our stay.
As he said “I can’t give you more money off because you got the early booking rate”. So we already got a discount? He said, "I could give you points towards my membership…" Point towards a stay I will most likely not have in the time allowed for the points to be used, no thanks. He told me I couldn’t use the points for this next day either. He then told us he would ¨let us¨ leave to go find another hotel for our last night's stay. How generous since all hotels were booked for the graduation, that’s why we got it booked so far in advance. Furthermore, the lack of accountability was glaring, with Mr. ** deflecting responsibility and offered minimal recourse. Luckily we were able to switch to a new room for the last night we were there as a few rooms did open up.
I asked to speak to a regional manager… he said there was none. I asked if there was somebody over him I would be able to speak with… he said there was not. So he has the final say on the building… but… he couldn’t give us a bigger discount? Or he was not caring about the customer and just worried about losing $100 or so more. Cheap management or IHG group is cheaping out on customers.
I emailed IHG and have yet to hear back from a few weeks ago. In my four decades of hotel stays, this was the worst stay, marked by sleep deprivation, pest infestation, and blatant disregard for guest welfare. The management’s indifference and reluctance to address our concerns reflect poorly on both Steven ** and the IHG group, raising serious questions about their commitment to customer satisfaction. I implore prospective guests, especially those considering IHG properties, to exercise caution and explore alternative accommodations.
As for Comfort Suites Beaufort, steer clear unless you’re prepared to endure substandard conditions and unresponsive management. In summary, my stay at Comfort Suites Beaufort epitomized a nightmare, underscoring the importance of accountability. IHG was far from a welcoming experience, true hospitality qualities were sorely lacking in this establishment.

The lobby was beautiful when I entered the building. The staff immediately answered all my questions. I informed them that I went to a hotel a block down street and was extremely upset because the rooms were dirty and the hotel smelled bad that I booked through Expedia. After traveling 7 hours I was tired and the staff smiled and said "I know you will be happy here!" She said I was welcomed to check out the rooms before I reserve it. I said no I could tell immediately by the lobby that I was sure the rooms would be clean. The rooms are clean and very comfortable bedding. Thank you for our stay!

We stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Asheboro North Carolina on August 8th. The room had a bad odor. We were told that the door was hard to open so the check-in person said she propped it open for us before going to our room. The hinge to the door was busted like someone had kicked the door in. There was a homeless camp behind the hotel with all kinds of shenanigans going on during the night. There were people in parking lot the entire night with cars driving to the back of the hotel with people meeting them with backpacks. We were told by a guest at the hotel to watch our backs. We were truly disgusted and would never recommend this hotel ever. Also, I wrote an email to Comfort Inn and was told to take it up with the Management at that Hotel. This hotel should not even be considered at all if you ever travel through that area.

Oh no, Teresa. We sincerely regret that you did not enjoy your recent visit and that the hotel did not reach your expectations. 4. It was horribly humid and stale. This was clearly a known problem because there was a dehumidifier in the hall but the room was not dehumidified.
5. There was rust and fraying carpet indicating that it desperately needed an update.
Breakfast was the usual continental breakfast, not my preference but some people like it. The people that waited on me were friendly enough.

Comfort Inn Cambridge, Ohio is a joke. Avoid at all cost. They advertise a pool and a hot tub but they are both closed and have been for many months. Our bathroom was filthy. The bathtub actually had holes in it, the wallpaper was peeling, the doorknob had a brown layer of crud on it. Very unhappy that this hotel cheated me. The promised hot breakfast was non-existent. The eggs and sausage was empty and the attendant did not refill even though breakfast was supposed to go another 30 minutes.

Do not stay here! Absolutely horrible and disgusting. We arrived Friday evening 5/19 and checked in. Elevator rattled all the way up to the 6th floor. I walk into the room and there was a horrible stench of acetone or paint? Very chemical like. There were holes in the walls, stains on the floor & a weird all over stain on the balcony window. I requested another room and everything was decent enough for the night.
We left for a funeral at 8am 5/20. When we came back around 10pm. We walk in and are told the elevator is broken and that we will have to walk up to the 6th floor. If that wasn’t annoying enough, when we finally got to the top floor, there was a fire alarm going off. We tried to call down to the front desk for 10 minutes to see if it would be shut off (because we didn’t want to walk back down 6 flights and back up). The phone went right to a busy tone every time before we finally gave up. We decided to just gather our things and check out. We had to spend $200 to get a last minute hotel and because it’s Saturday at 10pm, most things are booked up so we had to drive 30 minutes just to get a decently priced hotel.
In addition there is a $100 security deposit. Why? The hotel is already in horrible shape, if someone were to smoke in a room or leave holes or stains it’s not like the hotel would fix them. They’d just put new patrons in the same damaged room and collect their money. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Just spend the extra money to stay somewhere else.
To top it off, the hotel did not properly check me out Saturday night. The young man at the front desk said he checked me out and to call Hotels.com to contact Comfort Inn to be refunded. Because the young man did not actually check me out when I returned the key and checked out Saturday, the comfort inn At Largo, MD is refusing to refund the second night of the stay (which was not completed due to their own negligence).
Also, when trying to call to get my refund, whoever was working 5/24 flat out called me a liar and said I didn’t check out Saturday and that the alarm was not going off. I have been trying to have hotels.com come to a resolution with the hotel but they will not admit the alarm going off or that I checked out, despite the fact that they can check their own security cameras and see both. Absolutely terrible, and I will be recommending everyone I know against any Choice Hotels property. Hotels.com and Expedia as well.

The worst experience I have ever had with such a disgusting display of disrespect and unprofessionalism! I called on behalf of my boss to cancel a reservation which says on the website it's a 7 day cancelation policy AFTER booking. It says nothing about the policy prior to making the booking. After booking the reservation you're supposed to get an email, none was ever received. I called the hotel and kindly asked to cancel due to an emergency and the young lady I started the conversation puts me on hold and when the phone is answered again I am greeted by a Paul or Peter that claims he is from the corporate office. He explains that there is a 30 cancelation policy and that he cannot do anything to cancel or modify the reservation. The whole time I am speaking with him he is very condescending and wouldn't even hear me out.
I asked if they could make an exception this one time due to the emergency and I was definitely kind about asking and at one point thrown by his blatant disrespect in his tone I stuttered a bit which he then proceeded to mock me on the phone. I got so angry and will admit told him off to which he then hung up on me. This hotel is recommended by a university which I hope after they hear about this they don't affiliate themselves with them any longer. This company as a whole has put a bad taste in my mouth and I will definitely not ever be booking with any of their hotels ever. The fact that the person identified himself as a corporate employee and behaved in such a way is absolutely not ok. I don't want to work with or give business to a company that allows their employees to talk to customers like this, especially at a higher level.
Speaking with a customer relations person she apologized for my experience and tells me she has filed a complaint with the hotel to which I ask, "What does that do," and she couldn't give me an answer. This only tells me nothing will be done and the company will continue to take advantage of people. Worst company ever! The hotel in particular I had booked is the Comfort Inn Monticello.

Stayed at the Comfort Inn in Ogden, Utah. Original booking through was for 26 Jun -1 July 22, but I left 1 day early on 30 Jun. Checked out at the desk and the gentleman said, "you're all set". I asked for a receipt and was told I needed to request it through the agency that booked the reservation. I told him that's a first and he said he was unable to print it. Of course, I had a rental car to return and a flight to catch so I decided I'd fix it when I returned. When I finally called and got the receipt, I noticed an additional day's charge. Called several times and desk clerk said the manager had to remove the charge and that she would be in soon.
Called several times, left messages and still no response. I am a DOD business traveler that has to travel more than I like, but when I do I expect a hotel to honor its word and ensure its customers are billed correctly. I will be reporting this to my agency, who should reconsider its business with Comfort Inn and Suites because as of now, I don't believe Comfort Inn has the best interest of its customers at heart.

This type of feedback is not taken lightly. We want to investigate further about this. When you have a moment, please send us a private message with your full name and confirmation number. We hope to hear from you soon.

I was booked on the first floor. When I asked why I was on the fist floor and if the top floor was available the front desk acted annoyed and said the rooms were assigned that morning. I checked in early (3:00). The parking lot was empty. I called Choice Hotels Corporate Customer Service. They called the hotel and said they would take care of it and the Manager would call me. I NEVER received a call from the manager.
I spent three nights being awakened by the guests above me. After several calls to Choice Hotels Corporate Customer Service (which is not US based and I have a hard time understanding them), no resolution. I do not have time to call as it takes several phone calls and 20-30 minutes before anyone answers. Choice Hotels clearly does not prioritize dedicated Diamond Members. I am a 74 year old male who was crippled in a bad accident about five years ago and primarily have difficulties walking any distance. I have a permanent handicapped placard. This is the third year that I had planned an extended stay at the Comfort Inn in Avon, Colorado. I arrived there on July 29, 2021. In the past, the staff and general manager, Sheri, were most helpful. This year they were surly and sometimes outright rude.
The facility, which I understand to be a local owner franchise, implemented a one vehicle per room rule. As I did two years ago, I and my party had an RV and two cars to park, which was fine then, but not allowed this year. I was allowed to park my RV there, but not the two cars, although I have a handicapped placard and there were many unused handicapped parking spaces, as well as normal parking spaces. When I asked where we could park our cars, they suggested that we park in the U. S. Post Office lot next door, which would have been illegal. We ended up parking on the street some distance away.
The day after my arrival, I briefly parked my personal vehicle close to my room to unload more items into my room. When I returned to my car, a notice had been placed on my car stating that I was parked illegally. When I took the notice and my handicapped placard to the front desk, I was told that this was my only warning and the next time I parked in the Comfort Inn lot, my car would be booted and towed. I explained again that I was handicapped and could not walk extended distances, such as from the Comfort Inn to where my car was parked on the street, without suffering substantial discomfort. I was offered no help.
I was told by the GM, Sheri, that they implemented this policy because they were completely booked every night. While this may have been true, the parking lot at the Comfort Inn was only 70-80% full at night and 5 to 15% full during the day. They had at least six handicapped parking spaces the were never used by others. There was never a time that my parking an extra vehicle in their lot would have been a problem. I witnessed Sheri yelling at another couple because of where they were parked. I was able to talk to them later, and they said that both Sheri and other member of the staff were rude to them as well.
I had planned a 13 day stay at the Comfort Inn, but cancelled the last week of my stay and moved to another hotel with lots of parking and a most helpful staff. I still have not received the refund I was promised by the Comfort Inn front desk staff.I have never been treated so poorly at a hotel or been subjected to pain and suffering unnecessarily. Besides this review, I will be filing a Americans with Disabilities Act complaint. This Comfort Inn has lots of deficiencies that need to be corrected in their plant, their staff and their attitude.

Fourth red flag, (the one that broke the camel's back), in the morning, we ran the water in the bathroom sink, a STRONG sewer smell overcame us. We then decided that enough is enough, so we left as fast as we could, while holding our noses shut. The room was way overpriced for the things we went through. We should have slept in the car instead. If there was ratings on this hotel from 1 to 10 we would have rated it a negative 5. We are preferred members of Choice Hotels and believe we should be treated accordingly.

I emailed photos of the questionable areas to the GW eryn, she replied with a List of excuses for the filth. I didn’t even bother arguing. Just said that we would never return. For $150 on a Tuesday... I feel like I should have at least been able to walk barefoot on the carpet.

I like most Comfort Inns. They all pretty much seem to have a good clean property. There's no smoking at all inside the bldg and it helps to keep them running nicely. They keep the rooms clean and towels are fresh along with good beds and bedding. Never had a bad bed either. I think the bit pricier hotels is better because it helps keep the riff raff out of the hotels. Is just my opinion and that’s good peace of mind when your car is in a parking lot and all your belongings are in a strange room. They have complimentary breakfasts which is a nice add on and usually they sit close to a restaurant within walking distance. I also like the fact that you can become a Choice member and earn free nights with points if you travel a lot for work or just like to see the world.
Comfort Inn I do believe is on the nicer side of their Choice Hotels but that’s just my opinion. You can stay for a week or by the month I believe if you travel for work and need microwaves and it has a sitting area along with a nice desk to work on if you need that. The rooms are far enough apart that you don’t hear the doors slam every time someone comes and goes from or to their room and no noisy hallways because they aren’t cheaply put together. I give it a 5 star for the price along with amenities you get from Choice Hotels.

I love their waffles and I wasn't able to eat waffles there because covid-19, that was a downer as well but other than that, the hotel was excellent, beautiful very clean. The people was really nice. In fact, during that stay I had mentioned to front desk that the room had a foul odor and was unclean! I was told to email the manager about my deposit. Several emails and phone calls have all been ignored. Front desk staff told me that the manager is aware of my attempted contacts but he obviously lacks professionalism and is not responding.
I called Choice Hotels customer service to complain about my treatment. They gave me a file number but basically told me that after they contact the manager they cannot do anything to compel him to refund my money if he still refuses. When we (a family of 4) walked into our room we were overwhelmed by a permeating musty smell. I used some spray room deodorizer I had with me and figured we'd have to make the best of it. We then noticed what appeared to be black mold on the sheets and an orange stain on the underside of one of the bedspreads. I took off one of the pillowcases and there were yellow circular stains all over the pillow. I went to the front desk to request a different room, but was told they were full up. They did offer to deduct $25 from my bill.
We then decided to use a different hotel in the area, but as there was some kind of international convention going on, we were unable to make other arrangements. The manager then came to our room to tell us that there had been a cancellation and we could have a different room. That room also smelled musty, although the sheets seemed clean. The curtains, however, had what appeared to be either black mold or dirt on them and the fridge wasn't working. Everything about this motel was unappealing... simply nasty. I exclusively use Choice hotels when I travel for work or vacations. We booked the Comfort Inn Cranberry Township on Sheraton (Pittsburgh area) for this past Thursday through Sunday for a concert and our anniversary weekend. What started out as a very pleasant stay turned into an incredibly embarrassing and demeaning morning Saturday at breakfast. I am incredibly disappointed and embarrassed by the manner I was treated by 2 employees at the Cranberry Township Comfort Inn (Kenesha and Ryan) during breakfast.
Apparently when I put syrup on my waffle, some was on the edge of the plate and dripped off the plate on to the floor. A simple accident that I did not see as I walked over to get butter. Kenesha was not happy that I had gotten syrup on the floor and was incredible rude in telling me that it was dripping, I needed to watch what I was doing and now she was going to have to clean it up. I would have wiped the plate if I would have noticed it was dripping and would have happily cleaned up the mess myself. Instead, I was treated like a child, chastised in the middle of the food area and made to feel like I did it on purpose or like I was a bratty child she wanted to reprimand.
Once she came out with the mop, she told an elderly gentleman and myself to "move out of her way so she could deal with the syrup before people walked on it and made the floor sticky." Even after this, I would have chalked it up to "maybe she was having a bad day". Although I did say that kindness instead of rudeness would be much more effective and I did not deserve to be treated in such a manner for a accident.
A few minutes after I sat down, Ryan, who was working the front desk, came over to talk down to me about the syrup and they didn't need people making a mess (seriously, it's like I purposely poured a whole bottle out at this point instead of the little bit that dripped off the plate). He did this in front of an almost full eating area. It was humiliating, degrading, infuriating and shocking that he felt the need to come say something to me. He claimed that the manager, who was not on duty, told him to "handle me". I had not caused a scene, I had wiped my plate to stop the dripping and had already been sitting down to eat my breakfast for several minutes. He interrupted me while I was eating to berate me! No kindness, nothing other than how dare I make a mess.
Up until this point, I would have given this hotel 5 stars. Previous employees the past two days had been wonderful, helpful and friendly. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, definitely a hotel we would have come back to when we travel to Pittsburgh. Instead I left a day early to come home. I was so humiliated by how they handled this incident that I was in tears by the time I got back up to my room and I am not one to get my feelings hurt easily, especially by strangers! It takes me quite a while of things repeatedly annoying or upsetting me before I speak up to people I know for goodness sake!
Kindness goes a long way folks. There was no need for me to be spoken to 3 different times by 2 employees much less in the manner they spoke to me. A simple "Oh goodness, it looks like you're dripping, can I help" or "Here, it looks like you need a napkin/wet rag" would have gone a long way. Politely asking me to wipe up the spill also would have been perfectly acceptable. Instead they took a route of unkindness, bullying and embarrassing a guest and made a very happy customer into one who will never stay in that location again. I highly recommend that both employees attend some customer service and guest relations training as they are sorely lacking in that department.

Later, I found out my wallet was turned in less than an hour after we left so the wallet would have been there when we called or visited. Then they had the audacity to tell me they gave my wallet to a lady that was able to identify it. I’m not sure how a stranger was able to identify my wallet. Throughout the process, the manager was extremely rude going as far as telling my girlfriend the owner of the wallet should have been more responsible with the wallet. When we woke the next morning there was blood stains in the middle of the fitted sheets. My wife sleeps on side and I’m on the other. Neither of us were in the middle. I looked her over and she looked me over and neither of us were bleeding or had an open wound or cut. Went and talked to the front desk person as it was around 6 am. Was told the manager would be in later and they would inform them and I would hear from them.
Returned to the room Saturday night around 11:30 pm. Hadn’t heard from the manager but pulled the covers back and looked at the bed and the sheets were clean looking. We went to bed and woke Sunday morning and checked out. It was about 9:30 am. I ask again about speaking to a manager about the blood on the sheets and was told there wasn’t a manager there. I asked why I wasn’t contacted and got the “deer in the headlights look” followed by a I don’t know. Again they took my name room number and phone number and said a manager would call me.
Monday goes by and no call, Tuesday goes by and no call. I finally call them Wednesday at 11-11:15 and get the manager and she says, the blood was fresh and wasn’t on the sheets prior to us getting to the room. I replied that my wife and I checked each other out and I can promise it didn’t come from us. The manager then said the bed linens get changed every time so it couldn’t have been there but would offer me a $10 refund. I am appalled as well as disgusted. I would not recommend anybody to stay at this place because clearly they were wrong about changing them sheets in play it off like it’s not a big deal.

Should be a zero rating. But, the staff was pleasant if not anything else. We didn't check in until after 4 PM, rooms weren't cleaned yet. Room smelled awful when we go to it, so bad that we tried to change rooms. They told us at first that we couldn't because it was our point room. They then said that we could - but we decided they would all smell that way so we stayed. Chewing gum was stuck on bath floor. Mold in floor in bathroom. Paint peeling. Took shower and started to settle in. Saw a bug; then another and then two, three, many more. Packed up and left. Afterthought; the stench was bug poison mixed with cleaning fluid? And... our rewards points are shot.

We were traveling through California and stopped to book a hotel close to San Francisco. We are retired and had our 6 year old granddaughter with us. We booked a room on the Choice members site and picked Fairfield Comfort Inn. We checked in and received our pass keys, moved to the elevator and it was very dirty. We looked at each other and thought, "Oh boy. What kind of Comfort Inn was this place." We exit the elevator on the 2nd floor and the strongest smell of dope that you could imagine. We walked about 10 feet and looked over the railing and saw several drug addicts below. We turned quickly back to the elevator and hurried back to the front desk. The women said, "What should she do about it," and as I stated, "Maybe security would be in order." Then through the back door one of the drug addicted a ** man entered through that back door into the attendant's space. So I assumed that he worked there and we ran to our car.
People beware of any Comfort Inn now as we sure will not stay anytime soon at a Choice Hotel. We were a member for the last 10 years but now I question this brand. We contacted the management and they were not too concerned and did not do anything but put a few points on my account which amounts to about $10, what a joke. She said case closed. I wish that someone would have alerted us about placed like that.

I do a lot of traveling for work. Wyndham Hotels, Best Western and Choice Hotel are my go to chains. If I’m sent out toward Southern California the Cockatoo Inn is one of my favorite locations. Staff has always been very welcoming, helpful and friendly in all departments from the actual ground keepers, shuttle drivers, food servers and especially the front desk staff. Everyone is busy, they're working, no maids in the hall on their cellphone and you’re overhearing conversations you can do without. I’ve always been assigned to a clean room with enough towels and working iron. My hotel floor has always been quiet no matter the time of day. The guest are worldwide nationalities that also have always been just as polite and friendly. The parking structure has always had ample parking. Never had one scratch on truck, I have been a periodic guest with 6-9 month gaps.
Breakfast has always been wide range variety of "ACTUAL FOOD" not just of breads or a large waffle. There are sausages, boiled eggs, scrambles eggs, hot cereal, cold cereal, waffles, yogurt, fruits of sorts, whole milk, percent milk, juices of variety, donuts and muffins of variety - I’ve honestly only been once to the breakfast area due to my work schedule BUT when I went that is what I saw. The grounds itself are kept. We will be moving within the county within two weeks. Our upcoming stay will be our last. The staff will be very missed. I remember finding out my father had passed at the front desk while checking in last year. I broke down in tears: YOU WERE VERY GENUINE TO ME HEATHER. As then I stated and now thank you for that. May the Lord continue to bless you all.

No call, and when I called them they informed me that we were charged for our room and the room of the people we were with. They refused to credit my account and told me that I needed to have the other people call them. Extremely poor customer relations; at the very least they should have apologized and done what a professional, customer oriented company would. They should have immediately refunded one of the charges, instead they made their employee problem my problem.

I just came to check the hotel's review and realize people already have fuming experiences. I wouldn't comment on this as I eventually never utilized the services. However, I must warn you, based on my experience, that this hotels completely lacks of Value. Please don't book a room online. If you must use their quack services, do it on the desk, as you will never be issued a refund if you change your mind on in the very minute you book online. In May 2018, I traveled to Boston with a friend for an interview and booked a room in Comfort Inn Boston via HotelPlanner "900 Morrissey Boulevard Boston, MA 02122".
I called to cancel in the very minute I had booked and they promised they would respond on a Monday the following week. But they never refunded even after weeks of follow up. I involved my credit card company and HotelPlanner but Comfort Inn still would grant no courtesy. What pisses me off is the fact that no non-refundable terms was on the site when I booked but this appeared on my receipt. I was particularly meticulous to search the cancellation policy before booking a room, which makes me conclude with everyone else that they are a fraud. I am particular displeased by the services because that money, at that time, was to me like a widow's mite. I lost the money, never used the room in the following week, and never got a refund.

03/08/18 Comfort Inn I 95/A1A Florida Worst experience I have ever had with a desk clerk. Obviously owner’s son. Would not adjust billing to remove one day from a three day reservation. This after contacting Expedia (of which I will never use again!) and going through their arcane and frustrating system of NO telephone number to contact if a problem. I had to call Comfort Inn directly, after the desk clerk refused to give me the number. This entailed over an hour on the phone, 5 transfers, 1 disconnect, and 4 non English understanding operators in a foreign country. After all of this Comfort Inn still had not contacted the desk clerk and I had to go through another 15 or so minutes to get checked in.
I was told to "Pay the entire amount or GET OUT!" I persevered and was FINALLY checked in at the correct amount for the correct amount of days. This after NO HELP from the desk. Owner’s son, so you know where your complaint goes. I will NEVER use Comfort Inn or any Choice Hotels ever again! The Corporate seems oblivious to the problem and seems to condone it due to their allowing this to continue and NO contact with me to correct or explain the situation.

We reported a clogged sink drain to the Front Desk early Sat. morning, it was never corrected. We were locked out of the building, and they blamed us for mishandling our cards (BOTH of them!). I witnessed other guests with the very same key card problem at the Front Desk. This Inn is nearest our daughter's home so could have become "regulars" but we will NEVER EVER stay there again. Front desk was rude, unresponsive, untrained, and indifferent. Breakfast eggs ice cold (partially still frozen). Gave us a 10% discount to "dismiss us", offered as if we were simply a PIA to them ("go away"). Adjustable shower head wouldn't adjust. Heat was turned OFF, and A/C turn ON, BOTH nights as we returned to our room (late and tired), it was <40 F outside so we had to go elsewhere until our room warmed up.
A very bad experience. Recommend you AVOID this place. After I posted our bad experience to the Comfort Inn's website I was sent a standard computer generated email with a phone number. Their bathing suits were bleached and our daughters once brown hair had highlights from bleach (she’s 4). Her hair is fried. We have washed and conditioned over and over and now her hair that is long (to her butt) is being cut. The worst part is the front desk clerk totally lied and told us the ph level was fine and she checked it at 10 pm when she closed the pool. Little did she know we were in there from 8:30-11 and she did NOT come in there. When I called her out she still tried to lie and said maybe I had stepped out and didn’t see her. WHAT?!
The next morning the manager said the ph was only a little high at 9. He was also lying because we had tested it with the next shift clerk when the lying one left. If you go to this hotel DO NOT USE THE POOL! They have no idea how to maintain it. We have 3 kids with burning skin from chemical burns and one with fried damaged hair. I stayed at the Comfort Inn at 6450 Corporate Dr in Colo Spgs Co and it had to be one of the worst experiences I have had in a hotel. I stayed in room 205. I was tired and wanted to rest as most people do after a long trip. I was no sooner in the room, unpacked, and ready to rest when the running and jumping above me in room 305 began. I put up with it for awhile but when it stopped it was only for very short periods, maybe 5-10 minutes and then it started again. Finally, I went to the front desk and talked to **. He said he would talk to them. This went on all night until about 11 pm, with my visits to the desk, and promises that it would stop. Yes it stopped because they finally went to bed. But bright and early in the morning, it started all over again.
I spoke to ** and he reassured me it would stop. He mentioned changing my room but I had just unpacked everything and told him that I was not the problem, they needed to move the problem. I also asked if there was any guarantee that this would not happen again? He said no so why bother. So I took him at his word that it would stop but it did not. These were not busy nights, surely I could have been given a room with no one above me, especially in view of what just happened. ** said the guests before me complained as well about them. So where is there any intelligence in this situation? You would think management would have enough smarts first of all to put a noisy family on the bottom floor away from everyone and secondly not put me in a room where the last guest complained about the noise.
Ok, so he was going to take care of it. So I stayed a second night and again there were moments of peace but if I dozed off I woke up startled by the kid or kids running, dropping things on the floor and then people taking baths and showers at 11 at night. ** said they were rude but he was worse allowing that to go on. I would also like to mention the fact that I had to go out during the day to get away from them because they stayed inside making noise most of the time. This is wrong, I have every right to peace in a hotel, I am paying for it. Finally, last night I went out several times and complained to ** and he said he would have to call the police if it did not sop. Yes it stopped for awhile but always continued. I do not object to some noise but this was beyond that. I asked ** for my money back for that night because I was not treated with courtesy, respect or consideration that I deserved. He made it appear that I would get my money back.
So in the morning ** was at the desk and he saw nothing in the notes saying I would get a refund. I wanted his manager but he said there was no one there. I asked when he would be there and of course he did not know. Later as I was leaving some guy from India tried to convince me he was the manager. The guy was a moron. First of all, he did not speak well, he had to repeat everything to be understood. Then he calls ** and ** told him he tried to change my room but I said no so I was not going to get a refund. So this was all a game of scam the guest, placate me with lies and placate the guest causing the problem so we would both pay. This is so unprofessional. No one should go to a hotel and have to deal with misrepresentation. The manager should have remedied the situation with the guest before me and I should never have been put in that room to begin with.
The people above me should have been put somewhere else unable to disturb others. No one cares, and I am sure you do not either, this poor attitude comes down from corporate. I travel frequently and 23 members of my family do also aside from word of mouth to friends and coworkers. I will never stay at your hotel or affiliates. I will go back to the Marriott where they could not do enough for me. This is why you are not accredited, you do not deserve to be. I want my money back, and an apology for the lack of professionalism and disrespect to someone paying your salary. You hired morons who represent your company and have no clue what integrity is, not to mention common sense.

My last confirmation was received Thursday, November 2 at 3 PM. My husband and I left Friday morning for our journey to Alabama. On the road we received a phone call from the hotel informing us that our reservation had been canceled due to our card being declined. I was told that I could rebook the rooms on a different card but unfortunately the new rate would be $169.99 per room/per night. Unfortunately, because we were on the road I did not have the card information to dispute the issue. However I did question why they were charging my card before we arrived.
I was told that it was standard policy. I did not understand the decline issue because my credit card had a zero balance. After wasting more than an hour trying to correct the situation... I agreed to reserved the other two rooms on a different card and said I would handle the situation once we arrived. After asking repeatedly to speak with a manager, I was told that he was unavailable and could not return my call. Upon arrival my husband and I spent almost another hour questioning our issues with the price gouging and cancellation of my reservation after nine months... to no resolution. We were told that the manager would not be in until Sunday morning. I agreed to accept one room at their ridiculous new right in hopes that my conversation with management on Sunday could offer some compensation.
Unfortunately upon checking out on Sunday I was told the manager was not onsite and I was refused multiple times when I requested for him to be called. Finally after getting a manager on the phone, again unfortunately nothing was resolved. I was repeatedly told that they had every right to cancel my reservation and not re-offer me the same reservation right because my card had declined the morning of my arrival date...and after having to make do with one room instead of two, now that I am faced with twice the room rate that I reserved nine months in advance. She told me that there apparently was a mistake and that we had actually booked a room at the Super 8 where Comfort Inn had been located prior. I was upset but it was getting late so we did go to the Super 8.
When making the reservations I specified non-smoking rooms but when we checked into the Super 8 it was very apparent the rooms had been smoked in more than once. The clerk at the desk said they could turn on the ozone machine to help clear the smell, but no machine was going to get out smoke that was in the walls, carpeting and I am sure was in the curtains. So if that wasn't enough when I went up to the room I pulled back the covers and it looked like there was blood on the sheets. I went to pull the curtains shut and there was blood on the curtain.
I told the clerk but no one offered to change rooms or no apologies. Didn't even bother to come up and look what I was talking about. The bathrooms were so small my brother in law who is 78 had a tough time using it. The door hit your knees once you sat on the stool. There were no safety bars and the tub had nothing to keep from slipping in it. This was the most upsetting stay at a hotel that I have ever encountered. Beginning with the bogus reservation which by the way the person on the other end answered as the Comfort Inn Reservation Desk. So what should I have thought?? Something is terribly wrong with the whole set up when I called the Comfort Inn number and they say I made a reservation for Super 8??? What I should of done was to tell them to go you know where and went to some other hotel!!!

My sister, a cousin, and two aunts and I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Fort Smith. When booking the room the staff was very helpful and made sure we had a room where we would be able to visit and have an enjoyable stay. She was very friendly and seemed anxious for our visit. Once there, everyone was extremely helpful and courteous. The breakfast staff was always available, food was hot and delicious. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough. Rooms were clean, roomy and attractive, making it very easy to relax and reminisce with my relatives. We could not have been happier with our stay. It was a trip we will remember for a long, long time. Thank you Comfort Inn and Suites Fort Smith.

Want to publicly air my dissatisfaction with this hotel company. I booked a handicapped accessible room with choice Comfort Inn Auburn and once I arrived they told me my room is on the second floor with no elevator. The lady at the front seat saw on my reservation that it was clearly marked handicapped accessible. Their solution was to send me to a sister hotel 12 miles away with an ADJUSTED rate of $25 less and still isn't handicapped accessible. I have never encountered such an incompetent hotel company ever. I highly recommend you to choose another company to stay with when making your reservations.

Comfort Inn, Joplin MO: I stayed the first time (1 person, 1 room) and was charged $105. Two weeks later I stayed again (1 person, 1 room) and was charged $185. I looked at the website and even the largest room was far less than $185. Both stays were during the week and nothing special was going on in Joplin - in fact the parking lot only had a few cars in it during my entire stay. It seems like they just raise the rates whenever they want to!!! And the manager was very nosy about why I was there and what I was doing, which was none of his business...

I made a reservation several weeks in advance for 3 nights Aug. 1, '17 through Aug. 3, '17, and the morning of the day we were to check in I called to be certain that A/C worked and the elevators were working and to also confirm our stay. I have difficulty walking stairs, due to recent surgery, so if I could have a room right next to the elevator that would be ideal. The lady at the front desk assured me that everything was working as I asked and did say we could have a room on the 2nd floor next to the elevator.
When we got there at about 5:00 pm the same day the elevator was broken and there was no A/C in the hotel, other than individual units in the rooms. Front door to the elevator was open. According to the cleaning staff and other guests, the elevator and A/C had not been working since the day before, so this employee at the front desk LIED to me! Then they tried to put us in Room 411, on the 4TH Floor!!! I can't do steps. The front staff member said there were no rooms on the 2nd floor. But OH!, I argued, and then they gave us a room on the second floor which my husband had to make 4 trips up and down. I was treated like I was STUPID!!!
The elevator never was repaired nor was the A/C repaired during our entire stay! We had to leave a day early as we could no longer stay in this horrible hotel. My husband helped me up the stairs to the 2nd floor after we checked in. Things were broken; bathroom ceiling light above commode was hanging, A/C unit was broken and would not cool properly, drain in tub was broken and would not hold water. Shower head and tub spout in Bathtub leaked when trying to shower. Bathtub was so damaged on the bottom and was poorly patched, we had to lay a towel on the bathtub floor so we wouldn't scrape my feet. The smell of room deodorizer was so strong, maybe to cover up odors.
What was very scary was the staff had propped open the backdoor leading to the steps to all the rooms. This propped open door was not able to be seen by any hotel staff member and was accessible to the parking lot. Anyone could have entered this doorway only to confront a guest with a possible dangerous outcome. I complained to the front desk staff member and he said he would close that door. It did not happen. We felt very unsafe to say the least.
We wanted to speak to the Manager of the Hotel and they kept telling us she was not at the hotel and she never was there our entire stay. There is no reason why we should have been treated this way. No justifiable reason why this hotel was in such need of repair. We travel often and this was the worst experience we've encountered in more than 30 years. No one should have to be treated with such disrespect as this hotel staff. Lying to me knowing their elevator didn't work when I told them of my disability of not being able to walk the stairs. SHAME on them!!! This hotel stay cost us over $400.00. Appalling!

Checked into Comfort Inn at 9:30pm following cancelled connecting flight. Checked out at 7am the next morning. On return to NC, hotel called to inform me I had smoked in room and $150.00 unauthorized charge was being put on my Visa. I am 70 yrs old, have never smoked and certainly didn't change my lifestyle during my 10 hours in this hotel. Hotel staff including manager were unwilling to listen to any of my facts and completely rejected that "evidence" of smoking, if there was any, might be from their housekeeping staff. Currently working with credit card provider to dispute the charge. But, in the interim, don't stay at this Comfort Inn or alternatively make sure you get the front desk to give your room their approval before you leave the property. Otherwise, you are at the mercy of an unscrupulous property owner/operator.

I am reaching out to you in regards to this horrific complaint I have. My family and I decided to book two nights at the Comfort Inn - Twinsburg oh due to the fact they hadn't a swimming pool for our kids. Very eager to get to the hotel and swim after riding in a car for hours we book the room and unload all our stuff into the room taking us about 30mins. Being that it is 700 pm and we still haven't ate dinner being on the road for so long. My kids and I decided it was time to go swim, being that they kept talking about it the whole way there we went down there. As soon as we got by the doors a horrific and deadly smell came from the pool. I pulled the door open and a horrible stench like bacteria filled water stunk up the whole room.
The water had no working pool filter to keep the water flowing. There were no bubbles or.. Standing water was just sitting in there accumulating bacteria and other sicknesses. I immediately reported this to the front desk. Mind blowing that nobody smells or sees any issue with the pool. There were no chemical smells or no sign of chlorine being properly maintained in the pool. How upset can someone get as well as the kids being that their swimming time had been ruined by this dirty swamp smelling water ruined it.
Went to the front desk and spoke with the front desk assoc. Stating I wanted to be refunded my money back due to the issue. He seemed to not know what the smell is acting like can't smell or said he doesn't go to the pool. So being that we booked it online for two nights he couldn't guarantee when the charges would go back on our card. That was all the money we had to spend on a room and he said that he checked us out of the room. So two days later the charges still haven't appeared back on the card. So our whole time on our vacation stay we had to deal with this bull crap. Please reach out to me in regards to this issue. You have to see where I am coming being a kid point of view too. I just want some type of refunded or even a reply regarding this matter and to help resolve this. Thanks for your time.

I was a recent guest there, had some issues with the housekeeping throwing away my contacts. General manager said he would refund me the amount it cost. Housekeeping was able to recover one contact from the sink where she threw them. Housekeeping went into my room to clean it when it wasn't check out time, without my permission. Finally hours later it was check out time. The General Manager did not want to refund said he needed a receipt of the purchase of the contacts (giving me the runaround). Told him it was pre-ordered there is no receipt.
Finally decided to go to Vision Center to get glasses. General manager said "No we threw away your contacts not glasses. I’m not paying for glasses." Took back the receipt (recorded conversation). General manager saying he wanted me to wear the contacts, then said he wanted the original receipt. I said "No for what if you have a copy of it." He was yelling at me saying he did not care about me and other things. And laughing being rude. Told him to tell me yes or no if he's going refund it because I needed to leave. I had my kids running around the office and they could get hurt since wasn't paying attention. Said he didn't care. Then said how am I even driving without contacts. Finally after 30 minutes of arguing he decided to let his manager refund me a portion of it.
Scary part is that after I left the hotel he called Vision Center where I had went and said he was my husband and we were at the doctor office together and wanted to know exactly what I had ordered. Eye vision represented gave him information because he used my birthday and told him he wanted to cancel my order. Eye vision rep said he had an Indian accent. I went to go pick up my glasses and they said "No your husband canceled the order." I said, "What husband?" She gave me the information of who called and it was Mike ** General Manager at Comfort Inn.

We booked 3 rooms for Tues. June 27th. Would have liked to be all together. One was upstairs on other side of hotel. 2 were on main floor up front. I had asked for handicap 2-bed room. I received 1 bed. Denied that one as I needed 2 beds. So I got a regular 2-bed room. We had our grandson 3 yrs old, our granddaughter 6 months, visited. At 1130 the alarms went off and people were saying to leave the room. We were all outside for 15 min and no fire truck. I asked the clerk and she said, very rudely, "I have to walk the floors and see if I smell smoke." I then call manager. I said, "Really? What if it wasn't smoke related? Carbon monoxide?"
The next day when we got home a pillow was missing. An expensive one! When asked it was told it wasn't there and the housekeepers don't steal. Okay. Then where is it? Next she said, "By the way someone peed the bed! It went all the way through and we can't sell the room!" Very rudely by the way! I said we had 4 babies in there and when we wake them at 1130 out of a sound sleep and take outside and then back to bed something is bound to happen! They charged us 118.00 for the room again. It was the way the desk clerk said it that made me upset. Be nice about it but no... It was very rude! No apology for the night before or anything. I will NEVER stay there again. My driver goes over to get the room and clerk says that they never received a fax and would not let my driver stay there. When the owner of the company called and said he would put the room on his credit card, again, the manager said no.
For as many times over the years that my company has arranged for drivers to stay there, you would have thought that management could have let the driver stay and contact the company the next day for a corp card, or a credit card for the driver. Instead management basically booted them out of the hotel. I'm livid that a long standing relationship between my company and this hotel was handled in this way. Insult to us, insulted my driver. From June 19 thru June 26, 2017 my wife and I stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Blue Ridge, Georgia. The first night while making the sleeper sofa bed we found two liquor bottles on the mattress, and the mattress was covered in dust. House keeping blamed the bottles on a wedding party this past week end. So much for cleaning the rooms everyday. House keeping brought us a roll away bed for our granddaughter for the night, and they picked up the bottles with rubber gloves. We located in plain view a black brush on the floor next to the wall that appeared to be there for a LONG time.
Continuing on about our first night. The toilet was slow when flushing, and the water came up to the top of the bowl. I contacted the front desk and they brought us a plunger. The next morning we made a complaint about the toilet almost over flowing, and I ask to have this matter corrected asap. The maintenance made four visits to our room before he fixed the problem. The plunger was left in our room in case the toilet got too slow or wouldn't flush at all.
We stayed 7 nights and we were never able to connect to the hotels wifi. The method to get into the wifi was more secure than the security to the white house. The towels were stiff and abrasive. The television is mounted in the center of the room, and you are having to watch television from a angle because the television doesn't swivel, and the television is way too small for the size of the room. The door handle to get into the (room #313) is so hard you have to slam your hand down on it to get the door open before the locking system deactivates. I stayed a the Comfort Inn in Newark, California the weekend of June 16-18th, with two separate reservations that I made online on separate days (one reservation for each night of my stay). I probably should have read the many other poor reviews of Choice Hotel properties, so at least I may have known what I was getting into. When I checked in on Friday afternoon, I expressed to the desk clerk that I had also made a separate online reservation for Saturday June 17, and asked if he could take care of that so I wouldn't have to come back to the check in desk on Saturday for the second night's stay. I signed the invoice for Friday night's stay and a separate one for Saturday night's stay at that time. Thought all was well until I returned from my Saturday outing early in the evening and could not access my room. Went down and checked with clerk, who issued new key cards.
While speaking to him, I asked to have the Saturday night room charge moved to a different credit card for billing. The clerk, who seemed to not understand how to take care of this simple request, checked into my reservation for the card holding the room, and informed me that I had two reservations for the night. I told him that I had only made one reservation for the June 17th stay, and asked that the second reservation be canceled, only to be told that the timeframe for canceling the reservation had passed the previous afternoon, and that I would be charged for the room. I showed him my online reservation confirmation for one room, with date the reservation was made, and explained to him that perhaps the clerk who checked me in on Friday mistakenly misinterpreted that I wanted to make a separate reservation for Saturday night.
After some discussion, the clerk finally relented and canceled the second, phantom reservation. I also asked for additional bath and face towels and was told that there were none available, and to come back in about twenty minutes. I told him that I may be asleep by that time, and he stated he would deliver the towels. As for the credit card billing, the clerk advised that he couldn't change things and I would need to change cards at checkout. Later in the evening, tv, internet, and in-room phone service went down, and did not come back up during the remainder of my stay. Early Sunday morning, I went down and spoke to the Asst Manager, Carina, about the tv service, etc.., and to ask for additional towels that were never delivered.
I was told that the hotel was aware of the issue with tv and internet service, but could do nothing about it. I asked that we be given a discount for the services that we had been denied, stating that the hotel had done nothing to try to accommodate us or try to place us elsewhere due to their problems. Was also told that no towels were available until housekeeping came on duty thirty minutes later! No spare towels at a hotel!!!! WTH! I have also posted this negative review on the ChoiceHotels.com website and Google Review, but I doubt seriously that it will ever show up on the Choice Hotels site, nor will they likely ever respond back to try to make things right. Be forewarned about staying at Choice Hotel family hotels as you may also experience the worst customer service I have ever encountered.
I also contacted the Asst Manager Carina on Monday June 19, who when I went down the to front desk on Sunday morning had told me that her management access to making price adjustments was "locked" on the weekends, not allowing her to make adjustments, was told to contact her back on Monday. When I asked her about her making an adjustment for not receiving all of the services the hotel should have provided, she told me to hold on while she talked to "hotel management". When she came back on the line, she explained that since the tv and internet issue was beyond the control of the hotel, that the hotel would not refund any of price of our stay. Not likely to ever stay at another Choice Hotel property.

We returned to the hotel at 10:30 p.m. on the second evening as we had dinner after our meetings.
On our return we found that we had been locked out of our room due to a booking and credit card error. We were given new keys and entered the room to find out that our personal belongings had been moved. We did not find out until the next morning when we prepared to check out the extent of what had happened. We found that not only had items been moved, food that was in the frig was in a bag with shoes and lotions, and my wife's I-PAD was missing.
We reported the problem to front desk and a report was written up. We were not able to speak with the General Manger or owner but we were assured that the problem would be investigated, the police would be contacted and we would shortly receive a resolution. Two days went by no call from the owner or GM, so I contacted the hotel and was told, that the GM was not there but would be in the next day, but I would have to contact the police to order a police report as this was considered a third party incident.
I called the police and waited for a response from the hotel. 3 more days went by no response, so I called the hotel again. I was finally able to talk with the GM, who had limited information regarding the incident and told me that until the police report, she could not resolve the incident. We were told by the police, and the hotel that someone with access to the front desk key entered our room after the maid. We are extremely disappointed in the lack of follow-up, from the owner, who we have never spoken with.

No backup generator. That’s only one of the problems. We stayed there on 4/2/2017 when the storm came through Alexandria. We checked in then left the hotel and came back to the lights off. The woman at the front desk told us the lights would be back on in an hour. The maid, (who unlocked our door and just walked in our room) told us they did not have a backup generator. As we were sitting in our room someone started to yell up and down the hallway. "Lord protect us from this storm. It can't touch us LORD!" It was funny the first time but this went on for over twenty mins. Someone finally came to tell her to be quiet but it was one of the guest NOT the front desk. After a while I was hungry so we left to go get something to eat.
We returned to the hotel with a woman and child standing behind the front desk. I asked her when the lights would be back on and her answer was she did not know. In our room as we were eating we heard someone running up and down the hallway. I thought it was the woman from earlier but found out from one of the guest it was a little boy.
At seven pm I went to the front desk to see if the lights would be back on soon. NO ONE was there. I kept waking up all throughout the night. It was cold. We had not electricity. It was storming. Water was leaking from the AC unit and window onto the carport by the bed. We had no personnel at the front desk. We had to go buy candles from the dollar store because it was so dark.
Finally, at 345 am, the lights came back on just as I started to sleep. The freezer and AC kick back on loud. The first thing I did was call the front desk. NO PICK UP. I asked my husband to go see if someone was at the front desk around 500 am. When he came back he told me he heard them talking about the worker who walked off her shift that night. He overheard them talking about someone being robbed or the hotel was robbed but they stopped talking when he came around the corner.
When he came back I took a shower (because now we had hot water but still no cable or internet) then packed up to leave. The manager named Masheka who was at the front desk was rude with an attitude. IN HER WORDS: "I know the lights just came back on, you have to call the utility company about that." "Yes, the cable and internet are also off call suddenly." "I am not supposed to be here anyway, I was called in because no one was here." "Call back Wednesday when the manager comes back from his vacation." "Oh, I can give you a discount but I will not because I was told what happen was an ACT OF GOD." "Do you think you are the only one who has complained about last night?" "When the owner calls me back I will give discounts." "No I don’t know when or If he will call."
Each sentence out her mouth was said with an attitude, like it was the guest's fault for questioning her about the situation. She gave me the card with Don ** name on it and told me to call Wed again. I ask if I could talk to him now since she had talked to him earlier. I was told to call Wednesday again, when he returns. I am very angry at how this was handled. My kids and 4 of another rooms' kids broke out and it was brushed off.

I left specific instructions with the desk clerk, Wendall, to have the "manager", Kristie **, call me when she got in the next morning. SHE DIDN'T! I have been a Comfort Inn customer for years and this weekend was the worst experience I have ever had. I checked in on 3/24/17 and was assigned room 216. Once I went into my room and looked around as usual and went into the bathroom. OMG the tub was dirty!!! You could still see dirt and all in the tub. I took pictures of the tub and went to the front desk and Helen (front desk clerk) quickly apologized and stated she would move me to another room. She moved me to room 219 and made sure the tub was clean but she also cleaned the tub in room 216 as well. She went over and beyond to fix the situation. I tried to excuse the issue and just enjoy the rest of my stay.
On Saturday 3/25/17 I had to attend my cousin funeral which was at 11 am. I got dressed and left the room at 10:20 am. The bed and everything was unmade because I had just got up. I had some cups and paper lying around but thought by the time I come from the funeral the room would be cleaned. Well when I returned back to my room at 2 pm the room was still a mess. I had some new towels but bed was unmade, paper cups and other trash in the same spots, and the used towels were still on the bathroom floor. I was disgusted so I took pics and went to the front desk. T'Asia apologized and told me the room should had been cleaned. She left the front desk and came and made the bed and cleaned the room herself. I thought that was great of her but it should have been done without me having to ask.
This hotel was really off their game this weekend. I don't think I will be staying there again but would love to hear from a manager because on both days there was not one there. People are spending money to stay there and the hotel should uphold the mission the company stands for. I hope someone contacts me because this was totally disappointing.

My sister-in-law and myself have received the worst customer service. The help was crude, rude and distasteful. They were unwilling to give any aid to us and were very rude when my sister-in-law had to ask why her key would not work when we attempted to enter in the side door. Which their response was "Well that door doesn't work." They failed to inform us that the door was faulty. And even went so far as to reprimand her in front of other customers in the waiting area.
When she originally called to book a room it was for another site not the one they decided to book us at. Then they told her that they had a shuttle service that would send us to our destination. As well as telling her that our check-in was at 2 pm. Needless to say that when we arrived there they told us that we would not be able to check in until 3 and that we would likely have to wait for the shuttle service indefinitely. I will not recommended Comfort Inn Suites to any of my Colleagues, Attorneys, Doctors, Family, or Friends. I will be filing a formal complaint.

I made a reservation through Booking.com for Dec 9-12, nonrefundable with my parents and my 9 yr old son. My mom got sick (heart) and was advised not to fly. We live in Trinidad. I contacted Booking.com to cancel the reservation, they said that the hotel alone (the manager) can do that. I tried for 3 days to contact the hotel manager, I left messages, emails, he never returned any of my calls. I called customer relations for Choice hotels and explained the situation, they tried and could not get in contact with him.
Finally one of the agents got him on the phone with me, before I could even explain he said it's nonrefundable and that's their policy. I explained that I can't make the trip and that my mother is very sick. He said that I can change the dates but I couldn't even give him a new date because I don't know how to gauge the situation with my mom and what dates my employer will give me for vacation next year.
I was even willing to take half of a refund. I was even willing to wait for them to book new guests and then get the refund at a later date. I spent $250 of my currency trying for 3 days to speak to this manager who came on the phone with no intention of listening to anything I had to say. In life crap happens, I've worked in customer service 21 years and I come from a third world country but this was beyond disgusting and horrible as far as customer service goes. We were traveling home from vacation on Sunday, October 23rd. I made a reservation on Hotels.com while traveling for two rooms at the Paducah, KY., Comfort Inn. When we arrived at the hotel several hours later, we were told the reservation only showed one room. The girl at the desk called her GM to ask what price to charge for a walk in, even though my credit card had already been charged for two rooms.
The next morning we received a bill under our door for a charge on our credit card for our room. I told the lady at the front desk that I had already paid for the two rooms, and she told me I would have to call Hotel.com to get my refund. After talking to hotel.com, I totally agree with them, they reserved me two rooms at that hotel; it is not their issue. I called the hotel back and told them they needed to refund me that extra charge, and the lady said she would talk to their GM, but she didn't think that would be possible. She was going to call me in 30 minutes and let me know.
Twenty four hours later I called back, and she said she was getting ready to call me, but during our conversation she ask for my number once again. She said the GM ask the clerk on duty, and she told her we didn't tell her there were two different names, totally not true, she even took both credit cards, so she knew there were two different people. No resolution what so ever, they got paid for three rooms, and I got the shaft! The lady I talked to informed me it is best not to use online booking in the future, still blaming them for a mistake they did not make. I even have the reservation confirmation to prove they got it right.

I made a reservation at the Comfort Inn Suites in Beaufort SC for my son's graduation from Marine boot camp. I paid extra for the refundable, changeable reservation in case something changed with his graduation date. I was originally scheduled to stay 10/11,10/12, and 10/13. Hurricane Matthew came through the area and much of the area was being evacuated. We received an email that the activities at the base were being canceled due to the Emergency Management Agency requesting resident only travel in Beaufort until Wednesday 10/12.
When I tried to cancel the first night of my reservation I was told by the person at the front desk that they could not do this, only corporate could cancel. I asked about the roads being open and the travel restrictions being lifted. The women said "sure. It's fine". I called corporate office, waited over an hour to speak with someone. While on the phone I was told corporate could not change the reservation, only the hotel could. When the man called the hotel he said the women who answered was very rude. He said he created a ticket for the complaint and someone from the hotel would call within 24 hours.
Of course no one called me so I called back on Tuesday to discuss canceling tuesday night. The women was beyond rude! She first said she could not cancel because I was given a special price for three nights which is not true. I paid $92 for Tuesday and $157 a night for Wednesday and Thursday. I then asked if everything was functional at the hotel and the roads were open. I was told the hotel was fully functional and the roads were all open (State emergency site still had restricted travel). I asked if I could just come Wednesday even if I still pay for Tuesday. I was told "no be there by Tuesday night" or my reservation would be canceled and I would still be charged. She then hung up the phone.
Please note no one from the hotel ever called me in reference to the complaint. So I loaded up my family, drove 10 hours for what should have been a six hour drive so I could be there for my son's graduation two days later. When I arrived at the hotel I was required to sign the attached paper before I could check in or cancel my reservation without charge? For my entire stay the hotel had no cable, pool, fitness room and limited internet and housekeeping.
The best part of all of this was I had to complain about the people above me making excessive noise all night. When I walked away the General Manager made a very snide remark to the employee standing there about what a pain these military families were. Please note the number reason anyone would stay at this hotel is for a Marine boot camp graduation. Which is also why the room is double the cost on Wednesday and Thursday of any other night. I have stayed at many Comfort Inns in many different places. I have never had such a horrible, deceptive and unsafe experience. After this stay I am seriously considering canceling my Choice rewards in exchange for Wyndham Rewards.

We went to Indianapolis on August 6 of 2016, and stayed in Comfort Inn Airport 6107 Cambridge Way, Plainfield, Indiana, 46168. I want to write the review, and share with others as to tell how bad is the management of this particular branch of Comfort Inn. This review applies to this particular Comfort Inn whose address is mentioned above. It was big surprised to us when we found that we were not offered the room which we reserved. We reserved two double bed room, we got one single king size bed room. No apology. Very rudely the front desk person told us if "you did not like, you can leave the hotel". We did not know where to go at this hour, we took the king size bed room.
Then, it was the height of the poor management. The same room was allocated to a different customer. While we were in the room around 7:00 pm, another customer opened the room, and got inside. We got scared. Later this was resolved, and this room remained with us. Then, around 10 PM, when we came back to the hotel from dinner, our room key did not work. They told us "you have not been allocated this room". Now the person at the desk was different from the one when got the room between 6:00 pm and 7:00 PM. It took a hell of time to convince them this is the room which was allocated to us, and we have luggage inside. Finally, we got the key.
They asked us to sign on a paper at the time of allocating the room (first time). It is normal practice. We did not read the whole paper, and signed. Later we found that they got our signature on the paper which was related to a completely different room. Then the front desk person scolded us this is our mistake we should have read the paper before signing, rather than apologizing that they should not have put up a wrong paper at first place. I have attached the receipt which shows we were booked two double bed size room. It was really bad experience. I think Comfort Inn should look into the management of this hotel run by one of their franchise.

I reported it to the front desk. They said they would come and fix it. They never did. The second night was the worst. In the middle of the night I felt something crawling on me. I jumped up and turned on the light. A roach was on the bedsheet where I had brushed it off. I went into the bathroom and saw two more roaches crawling around. I called the front desk at 2:30 am and asked for another room.
They gave me room 152. As I was packing my clothes I happened to look up and saw more roaches on the ceiling. When I got to 152 I looked in the bathroom and saw no bugs. I looked at the ceiling and saw two bugs there. I called again and she gave me another room. I showed her the first room, room 120 and showed her the ceiling. She said they weren't roaches. Whatever they were they weren't supposed to be there. It was bug infested. The Other room was just as bad as room 120 so I told the clerk I would keep 152. Needless to say, I didn't get much shuteye. This hotel should be shut down and exterminators called in to get rid of the bugs. The night clerk offered me a refund for the night. Complaint regarding recent stay at the Comfort Inn 5828 I-27 Lubbock TX 79404. My wife and I arrived for a wedding Thursday, April 21st and our room was not as clean as I would have expected. The curtains were torn and there was water soaked into the carpet by the refrigerator on the floor. As we had just driven some 5 hours we were tired so we stayed in that room as we were too tired and needed rest. Almost immediately we attempted to get on the internet and found that the system was most difficult to get on and would kick us off every few minutes and then it would take another 20-40 minutes to get back on.
On Friday April 22nd in the morning my wife found out the in room blow dryer did not work and we informed the front desk. The front desk told us they would get another one for us ASAP as I had informed them that we had a rehearsal and rehearsal dinner that night and a wedding the next day for our son. We kept checking throughout the day and we were told each time that they had not received a blow dryer. My wife was unable to wash her hair for the rehearsal or the dinner as we waited too long since we kept being told we would have one sometime that day.
The next day very early in the morning I called the front desk because the Wi-Fi service was cutting in and out and we couldn't get on for more than a few moments at a time and then it would take another 20 - 40 minutes to get service again. The front desk manager on duty ** told me then that there had been "a line cut" sometime days earlier and they were experiencing problems with their Wi-Fi. Obviously they knew this before we checked in but there were no signs to notify us and it was not mentioned. I also told the manager on duty ** about our TV which had quit working that night and we could not get it to work again. Then I told her about the blow dryer and that we were thinking about leaving the next day if those things were not fixed.
She immediately brought up a blow dryer. I asked numerous times to have the GM ** to contact me so I could speak to her before we checked out but she never did even putting it in writing and handing my information to ** upon check out so I could speak to her after we checked out. I was contacted on Tuesday April 26 by Comfort Inn employee ** who said the GM ** had asked him to phone me and to offer me 2,000 point in their frequent stay program. I let ** know that I was not looking to open a frequent stay program so the 2,000 points was not something that would result in any relief from my concerns.
I again asked to speak to the GM ** and was told she was unavailable as I asked to have the contact information, any information e-mail, address, phone number of the ownership of the Comfort Inn in question. ** told me he did not have that information and that the only person who did have it was the GM **. I then asked for contact information to the GM **'s superiors and again I was told that he did not have that information and the only one who did was the GM **.
So I expressed my surprise that the only person that could provide me with any form of contact information to share a concern about the GM ** for not contacting me after numerous request was the GM ** herself. I could not get a supervisor name, an owner name so I ask for a GM name of another property which I was provided and I called that location and expressed my concern regarding this entire disaster of a vacation stay at the Comfort Inn in Lubbock. This GM did take down my information and she is going to follow up on my behalf as she apologized to me many times and assured me that what I was experiencing was not acceptable nor within company policy.
I will await the call from her boss upon her return sometime later this week. Since all this has transpired I received a 17 second voicemail from ** (I assume it was the GM ** at the Comfort Inn) at 5:57 PM Tuesday night as a result I believe of the manager ** sharing with her my deep concern that she was not providing me with the type of service I expected when traveling and staying in any hotel and having problems. I returned **'s call at 806-559-8493 at 8:48 AM Wednesday morning upon listing to the voice mail she had left the evening before. It is currently 11:47 PM and I have not received a return phone call.

So I carried towels, etc., down from 3 days of staying and was really upset other customers saw me carrying a handful of towels, etc. Told me it would be reported on the 4th day. I made a report to the manager. She said "if you had a do not disturb sign on your door they won't come in." I told her we leave in the morning, come back at night, no signs, no one in the room, and needless to say she said "I will get it taken care of." Came in that night and still the same thing and had to go get towels from front desk and carry down trash.
I pay to stay in a nice hotel and paid for a suite and it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and my company will let all companies I work with about this. The manager is not doing her job, and then to beat it all they overcharged my Visa. This is the biggest joke of a hotel I have ever seen in my life. We pay better money for good service and feel like we stayed in a dump and was treated with such disrespect!!! I paid 3 days with one visa and 1 with another and they billed the 2nd one for all of it. Do not stay here unless you wish to stay at a dive.

First of all they messed up our reservations. We had a reservations for three rooms - two of them for 2 nights and one of them for one night. What about being put all together? That didn't work out. Then they messed up because they told us that only one room was for two nights and the other room work for one night. We left the room Saturday morning at 10 o'clock and came back at 3 o'clock and my grandmother's room 123, the Bedouin even made very poor service. When we checked in on the 19th, room 117 had roaches. Their idea of fixing it was to change our room. Very disappointed all around. Will not stay at this Comfort Inn again.

If you're looking for some company, get a room here. More specifically room 208 and the bed on the right. You'll pay an overpriced amount BUT you will be accompanied by dozens of BEDBUGS. I work for a company who travels often and stays in many hotel rooms a month. Never since I've worked here booking rooms for our guys have I ever had an issue with bedbugs until this place. One of the guys staying in the room woke up in the morning covered in small bedbug bites. Unfortunately for them they were running late headed to a very important job so they had to grab their stuff and go. Unable to notify the front desk of the issue or even so much as check out. But before they could get to their job, they had to make a stop at a local store to restock all of their clothing and luggage which was a huge inconvenience considering the circumstances.
Not to mention we're a very professional company and had to show up to the job in white tshirts and odd shorts. All of their expensive company shirts as well as personal clothing and undergarments had to go in the trash, some of those things being irreplaceable. Their job requires lots of movement so you can only imagine how uncomfortable he was the next few days. Some of the bites even oozed pus and were swollen not even 24 hours after the incident. They were out of town for a week so as soon as they brought the company vehicle back it had to be bombed for bedbugs. I called the hotel and very politely asked to speak with a manager. The first response I got was that the manager was out on lunch. Ok, no problem. I left my information and was reassured to get a call back when he returned.
A few hours went by and I hadn't heard anything so I called again. This time he had left for the day so I would need to call back tomorrow but that a note would be left "reminding" him to call me back. The next day I waited until about 2 pm. I got nothing so I made another call. It took me 4 tries but I finally got a hold of the front desk. To my surprise, this time the manager was in a meeting but again I was assured I would get a call back when he got out. I asked for the corporate phone number since I wasn't getting anywhere with the manager and he told me he "didn't have access to that information."
At that moment I let him know that I was starting to lose my patience and felt as though my issue wasn't being taken seriously and that if I did not hear back from the manager that evening, I would have to hop online and share my issue with others looking at the reviews of this location; as well as contacting the better business bureau, health and human services, my attorney and their corporate office.
I really didn't want to have to take it that far but managers have the responsibility of inspecting their property to safeguard that bedbugs do not exist on the premises. If they fail to do so, they are in direct breach of the warranty of habitability. And this was the situation I was in. We work with many companies that travel daily and I will have to make sure that this company doesn't receive any business from us or our family's companies as well as friends and family. I am very disappointed in actions not taken to make this right and even more so in the fact that this man is still dealing with the aftermath of this awful situation.

My son and I drove over 8 hrs for a funeral. Found the Comfort Inn. We stayed there long enough to sleep and shower. I get home and see a overcharge of $50 and the place looked a mess. We were too tired to care but should have never been overcharged for something that we did not take. I call the hotel, the lady hung up on me to start with in the middle of pulling my account up. She was rude and accused me of stealing a towel and wash cloth. Then tells me I could call the next day and speak to housekeeping. Why not management? I call the corporate office and cannot get an answer. So now I'm out of $50 dollars because of some ignorant people. I will never stay at another Comfort Inn. Worst experience ever. I still have receipts if corporate needs copies. Would really appreciate my money back for the overcharge.

I wanted to leave my car (Park, Sleep & Fly) at the Comfort Inn Oakland. Couldn't make the reservation online so I called the reservation line. Rate for departure was $339 and for return was $114. Agent put in my record that I would be leaving a car. Checked rate online on Sunday and it was $234 for departure date. Checked on Tuesday and rate was $149. Emailed a guarantee best rate form to Choice and received reply that the guarantee only works if you book online and if the rate is from a competing site. Called hotel and they said they would honor the $339 rate + $50 for parking my car. Remember online rate for same date is $144 and the online park and fly rate is $189.
I couldn't cancel because cancellation deadline on my reservation was one week in advance and if I booked same room for same date today the cancellation policy is the night before. Feel totally taken by Choice and Comfort Inn. All transactions were directly through their company and not a third party. This isn't a customer service approach. I would not recommend this chain to a friend or family member.

I checked in late Friday night and was very tired from driving 6 hours straight after a long day at work. When I arrived they put me into a handicapped room, in which I felt bad for several reasons. One the room was dirty and the room had a bad smell. So I asked to be moved to another room. After all of this I was just ready to get some rest. When I woke up and went to the bathroom to take a shower the tub looked so disgusting I couldn't imagine get into it. The shower head had rust on it and the bathroom door knob had some white paste around it. The toilet seat was much larger than the toilet and was ready to fall off.
So I asked for the manager and was told he only works during the week. I asked for early check out in which my check out date wasn't until Monday. I asked if I could leave my number and the manager give me a call when he comes back to work. Never received that call and it's been two weeks now. It made my weekend so terrible I was in town for a birthday party and had to find another hotel at the last minute on the other side of Atlanta. Had to drive 30 minutes to meet up with my friends everytime we did something together. Their hotel was booked full and was around the corner from mines. I have always stayed with Choice Hotels and after this terrible experience with no response from anyone at the hotel; I will have to find another chain of hotels to stay with.

I called to reserve a room and was informed that there were rooms available. My options were an executive suit for $150 a night or Jr. Executive suite for $130 a night. There were a group of us who had reserved a block of rooms and I was informed that the block of rooms were booked and these were the only rooms available. I asked if the above mentioned rooms could be added to the block of rooms and at this point Kyle, the person I was talking to said no. He was condescending and rude. I then asked if there were any other rooms available that could be added to the block of rooms and was again, rudely told no, if I wanted a room, the suites were all that were available.
I asked the difference between the suites and Kyle rudely started to rattle off the list of amenities (TV, refrigerator. Interrupted and asked about the sleeping accommodations, not the amenities. Kyle said short and rude, "Ma'am they are suites". I asked, more specifically, "Do they have a pull out couch?" He said, "That is what usually is in a suite". I went ahead and booked a suite for $150. Kyle continued to speak in short rude questions for information regarding the reservation. When booked he went to hang up and I said I would like an email confirmation and a verbal confirmation number. He was so impatient to end the conversation. He did not give me this information until I asked for it. Once I had my reservation information, I asked to speak to Kyle's manager and was informed that he was the manager!
I asked to speak with someone above him and he asked why. I told him that I thought he had been rude and condescending throughout our conversation. He proceeded to tell me that I was not welcome at this hotel and that he was cancelling my reservation and then hung up on me. He then called the person that booked the block of rooms and told her that if anyone else from our group called and wanted rooms outside the block and spoke rude to him that they were not welcome at that hotel. He proceeded to tell her that I was rude and denied a room. I explained that if that were the case then how is it that I have confirmation email and number. He did not deny me a room until I asked to speak to a manager and I called him out on his behavior!!! Will share my experience with others!!!

Not enough towels and what is up with the HALF pillows? Glad I brought my own. The hallways, elevators and rooms smelled like a dirty vacuum! This place is going down. My husband and I and our two dogs made a trip to Asheboro, NC for a small reunion. We checked in on 11/7 and checked out on 11/8. During our stay, the overall energy and look of the hotel was somewhat unpleasant. Not to the mention the front desk telling me that she didn't like any dogs except for hers. It was a strange encounter but I knew we would only be staying for one night, so I wasn't worried.
When we checked out on 11/8, I cancelled our reservations for December because I made other arrangements with much nicer and reputable hotel in the area. During our trip back to Nashville, I checked our bank statement and noticed an additional $150 charged from Comfort Inn. I immediately contacted the hotel and asked about the charge and they said it was a smoking damage fee. I stated that we did not smoke in our room but she said she couldn't help me back it was only her there. She told me that I would need to contact the manager in the morning. Huge red flag, general customer service would always get the consumer contact information and have the manager contact them.
On 11/9 I contacted the hotel and the front desk told me the manager was in the hallway and to call back in 25 minutes. I was frustrated again. I called the Choice Hotels customer care and spoke with a representative. He then told me he would file a complaint but it was up to the manager to reimburse the charges or not. I then called the hotel to try for the manager again. I finally reached the manager and told him our situation and he then said they charged us because we smoked marijuana in our room! I was extremely taken back and stated that we did NOT smoke marijuana in our room.
He then stated it took several of his staff and a very expensive cleaning machine to clean out the smoke and that he had an affidavit signed that we smoke marijuana in the room. I stated again that we did NOT smoke marijuana and this was the most ridiculous accusation I have ever heard and wanted our money back. He then stated how long he has been in management and he has never seen anything this before and by that point I had handed my phone to my husband and the manager hung up on him.
I then immediately called the Asheboro Police Department to tell them what had happened and out of genuine concern of the safety of that hotel. I was then directed on what I could do. I called the hotel back to let them know that we were in contact with a lawyer for the charge of defamation of character and slander, disputing the charge with our bank and as filing a civil suit. I have contacted the BBB as well as posting several reviews for this hotel. I am taken back by the lack of customer service as well as the accusation of my husband and I smoking drugs in the hotel room, which is clearly not the case. $150 is nothing, but it's the principle behind the matter and how we were accused. We will voice out our experience so this does not happen to someone else. We were clearly scammed out of money.

We rented the conference room at comfort inn. For a halloween party for children. We had a small dj and were not being extremely loud. The lady working the night shift had started getting an attitude with my grandmother before the party started saying if it got too loud we would have to turn it off. When we reserved the room the lady was informed there would be a dj and okayed it. The lady working said they had no idea about our party and she was the only lady that worked there. Which was clearly a lie. We talked to the day shift lady and she was very sweet and helpful. We needed to warm up food so the day lady showed us where to, the night lady came and told us we couldn't use their toaster. We needed to hurry and get out. So she stated to me "People paid 300.00 to stay here tonight and they don't want to hear music." There was people placed in rooms right across the hall from us knowing there was going to be a party.
While I was standing in the hall listening to the lady, I couldn't hear the music being played inside the room. So I stated to her "I also paid to rent this room 200.00 dollars, and communication with your staff is clearly not my job." I had to miss out on half of the party dealing with this ignorance. So 20 mins after that her manager came in and pulled me to the hall once again, and stated "You are not going to disrespect my staff throwing up how much people paid to stay here." I made my point very clear to him "Your staff disrespected me. She threw up how much people paid to stay here because of the breeders cup event."
I'm guessing my money wasn't good enough because I wasn't part of that group. After I paid I told the manager "We are leaving because you have clearly ruined our kids party." When cleaning up he came in once again and got smart with our dj. I wouldn't recommend this hotel period to anyone. They don't know how to treat people and their staff clearly need to be taken care of. They can't talk to paying customers as they did and fully disgraced me acting as they did. And someone needs to teach them customer service and problem solving tips!!!

We spent one night at the Comfort Inn @ 739 West Michigan Ave in Kalamazoo Michigan on Oct 5, 2015. The room was supposed to be a king suite with a whirlpool, it wasn't. The charge was supposed to be $114. It wasn't, it was $120. Our room was doubled booked. We were awoken up at around 10 pm via a knock to ask who we were. Crazy, why couldn't they have just rang the room?? The room needed major updates; the carpet was dirty, the chair smelled like smoke and mist, paint was chipping and peeling, the ceiling in the bathroom had been mudded and not sanded and painted, one lamp in the room was ripped, the iron was missing, we were brought an iron from front desk, it didn't work. The hallway carpet was dirty and wall had holes in it.
The staff wore seemingly unclean clothes, the breakfast bar attendant had a permanent scowl and her apron was dirty. The night desk clerk wore two different type shoes, he was not friendly. We were told because of the double booking we would be credited $30. We were not. A new bill was generated and printed with a new charge of $82, which didn't show the credit. Our bank account was charged $120. Never again. We called to speak to a manager to settle our disputes, we got a voicemail with no call back and still have to pay the $120 at this point. Can't settle disputes if they won't call. This is reason we are on CA's.

Mr. ** was very rude to the both of us and continue arguing with the CSR even after she told him that there is indeed a hold on the account from the Comfort Inn and that it's been on my account since I checked out. Mr. ** even told the CSR that she didn't know anything because she worked in a call center. My payment for the hotel room has already been paid but still your hotel continue to hold my funds of which I needed to pay my debtors.
Mr. Chirag **, Manager was not only rude and very condescending to me but also to the Customer service representation with American Express saying mean and nasty things to her. I am calling corporate today to inform them of the inexcusable rudeness and the inconvenience that I experienced from the hotel placing a hold on my funds for over a week even after the room charge was settled. I find no excuse for rudeness and the unprofessional attitudes that I and the customer service represent from American Express experience. I expected a release of my funds along with some form of compensation for the inconvenience that your company cause me for the stress of holding unauthorized funds.
