Midway through booking a flight on Cheapoair I was directed to a page saying my credit card was not accepted and to try again later. Knowing my card was in fact working I booked directly through the airline for the same flight. Woke up this morning to charges Made from Cheapoair for flights that were never booked!!! I have called their customer service only to have someone ask me that they need my booking reference to look into the matter - how does this make any sense when I have made NO booking and this 'company' has gone out of their way to charge my credit card for no reason. I have contacted the bank to have them be aware of this charge which they are looking into as we speak. Have already spoken to my lawyer also who will be taking this matter further if not resolved. It's utterly disgraceful to try and conduct a business this way. I certainly hope someone will reply to the countless emails I have sent - or this post so this matter can be resolved without a fuss or further action.

Beyond disappointed - getting furious now at the lack of basic "support" from the support department. This whole crowd is based in India and NO ONE wants to take responsibility for anything. My wife has been trying for OVER A MONTH now with repeated phone calls to rearrange the booking times after one of the carriers cancelled a flight. We now have only 2 weeks left before the flight and we have got absolutely nowhere.

Every person she talks to says she needs to talk to someone else who then repeats the process or they will tell you they will call you back within 48 hours; this NEVER happens! And every time, the same questions are asked, "I want to get a connecting flight on the same day and I don't care which day - how can we do this?" "If we can do this, how much extra would I have to pay?" "How come you don't even know how much penalty would apply if I gave up and cancelled the entire booking." "How is it a flight cancellation of a carrier involves me having to call 10 times so far to get absolutely no answers whatsoever."

Each phone calls takes at least 30-40 minutes and often over an hour to try and get past the initial "help-desk" staff and to someone who is supposed to be able to help, only to be told either they will get back to us (never happens) or we need to call back and ask for "x" department. These toll calls will soon add up to more than any savings we obtained by using this outfit! A basic problem like this should NOT be in the "too-hard" basket. If we booked through this company and the carrier chosen cancels their flight, how come it is OUR responsibility to try and convince them to change the bookings to suit a connected flight? We will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

Please, please, please avoid this company at all costs. It's simply the worst of the worst, at least when it comes to customer service. They would put you on hold for half an hour to an hour each time then come to talk to you for a few seconds and put you on hold again and again and again and the funny thing is after hours of waiting, they would finally hang up on you. You call back and it would happen all over again for ten, twenty times. And the funny thing is you will never get any result at the end. They always have excuse about this and that. This happened to me when I asked for a name change. Basically, those fools put my mother's name in reverse. I noticed the problem and called to request for the change and boy oh boy, you would think it's any easy task because it's already booked and paid for, but no, no, no. It took me 5 torturing days to talk to them and at the end it couldn't be done. IF YOU WANT TO LIVE LONGER, HAVE LESS STRESS, NOT WANTING TO PULL YOUR HAIR OUT, AVOID THEM, PLEASE. They are scammers!!

If close to 90% of reviewers said they are bad, it's hard not to believe that. I didn't and that's why I've paid a heavy price. The only reason I gave them 1 star is because I could not give them a zero.

This company charged my credit card $200 more for a flight than they were suppose to. Once they realized their error they said that I would receive a refund within 7-14 days. It has been 4 weeks and still no refund. When I call all they tell me is that it is in process. This is actually the second time that they have charged my credit card without authorization.

CheapOair charged me travel protection fee, although in my first email from them it states clearly that I declined it. Next day, another email was sent to me and travel protection fee was included in my booking. I never agreed to. They stole $278 from me and I tried many different ways to get it back without any luck. I would never buy tickets from CHEAPOAIR again and if you do, be aware that if they overcharge you, you will never get your money back.

My bank is saying that CheapoAir refuses my refund. I am so pissed off that is 1200 of loss. I want to do a class action lawsuit against them, as they are awful, terrible, horrible. If you need an advice about traveling, here it goes: never buy tickets through cheapoair.com. You will pay a travel protection fee for $77.51 and they WILL NOT give your money back if you decide to cancel the return flight. They do not even let you filed a claim, because they will state your reason is not valid!!! Well, if you do not have a reason to cancel, you will not need to cancel. If you pay a cancellation fee, there should not be any conversation about your right to cancel it.

    I will sue Cheapoair.

I booked a flight based on my request for certain dates. They changed the dates on me (I have NEVER had this happen before booking online). When I discovered this discrepancy, they said they have to submit a request to American Airlines. I called them 4 more times to find out what happened. On the 4th call they said that AA declined our request to have the $200.00 fee per person waived. When I called AA they told me it was not them but CHEAPOAIR that declined that waiver. I am now figuring out how to get the correct dates of my initial request corrected! They have not been helpful at all. I would NEVER recommend to anyone to use CHEAPOAIR!!! Booked a ticket with CheapOair.com on Saturday from Perth Australia to Sydney. Guess what? Got a call from their Credit Card Verification department, saying they need a verbal verification from me, and ask me to call them back from a landline number which according to their system is my number from my bank database. Hell, I didn't know I had a landline number since I moved into this place a year ago!! And they refused to issue me the ticket, because I can't verify my identity.

Ladies and Gentlemen you see the irony? They called me on my mobile, and asked me if I can call them back from a landline that never existed!!! I mean, how in God's name (forgive me I meant no offense) did you get my bloody mobile number in the first place!!! Then I called my bank to confirm my number, as I remembered, no land line number ever recorded on my account!!!

Their call center is in the US, tried the toll free number once, and can't hear a word. So I had to spend 20 minutes at least on each call, INTERNATIONAL CALLS if I may add, to get them to issue the ticket. Lucky me, I got my bloody ticket today. Hopefully all should be going fine from this point onwards. This is THE MOST STUPID web booking I had ever done, and I personally will NEVER use their service again, and I suggest anyone who wants less trouble in their lives should also stay away from them as well.

I called them and they confirmed I will be refunded verbally and never sent me an email. I called my bank immediately to dispute the extra charge because I knew this would happen because they are based in ANOTHER COUNTRY, INDIA.

Now a month later I am fighting to get my money refunded. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! Why would I agree to pay more for a booking agent than I did for the flight??? SCAMMERS WILL SCAM. I have uses cheapoair twice in the past 3-4 months and experienced no previous problems. However within the last 4 days I used their service to book a flight from Perth Western Australia to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The booking was made and the fare cost has been deducted from my credit card. However there was no email confirmation that my booking was made. I have received no correspondence from cheapoair concerning my confirmed booking. I have checked their website to confirm my booking, nothing is listed. I have emailed their customer service online site on several occasions and have not received a response.

The booking is for travel over the Christmas period in Australia and until I can confirm that I am booked on a flight, I can't make any further travel arrangements.

I can see from the number and nature of complaints on this site that I have little or no chance of ever receiving either a confirmed flight or of receiving a refund of the $600++ Aus dollars I have paid for a service I will never receive. My Christmas will not be a happy one thanks to cheapoair.

Hell no, oh but he still charged me anyway. The only reason I noticed they had charged me even though I had said no was because I went into my spam mail and noticed the flight was booked. I called Cheapoair a couple nights ago to reserve an international flight. The guy was polite and helped me for over an hour to finally book the flight. He emailed me an itinerary with the flight info, but not the flight confirmation. So I called back and some Indian guy told me I would get it in an hour or 2. At that time it was like 11pm. So I was up working till 1:45 a.m. which was past the 2 hour point, but yet no confirmation email. So I called again and now the different Indian guy is telling me the flight was not booked properly and that the rates have gone up $315. So I told him "That's not my problem. You guys screwed up, not me so fix it now." He kept me on the phone for like 30 min and I got really pissed and asked for the manager. Again they kept me on hold for like 20 min before the manager got on the phone.

I told her the situation and they said they would take care of it and that I wouldn't have to pay extra and told me I would get the confirmation email in 2 hours (Again). At that time it was like past 3am. So I went to bed and woke up at 6am to check my email and again nothing. So I called and they put me on hold for like 20 min (Again). After 30 min they finally sent me the confirmation. I was so exhausted. So I was driving to work at 7:30am and I get a call from guess who, yes Cheapoair. Now they are saying my credit card was denied, so I gave them a new card number and again on hold for 20-30 min. After I gave them all the new card information they tell me "You should get the confirmation in 2 hours (Again)."

So I'm at work and almost 3 hours go by and still no confirmation email. I got on chat with them asking what's going on and the girl tells me to wait 2 hours. I was so freaking pissed I was going crazy. At that time it was like almost noon. So I told them, "You better send me the confirmation email no later than 2pm or I will contact an attorney." 2pm arrives and again no confirmation email. Now I'm burning up and I get on chat once again to see what's going on. I'm on hold for like 10-15 min (Again) and finally they sent me a confirmation. I called Emirate to confirm the flight and yes it was there.

It was like pulling teeth dealing with this company. I was stupid not looking at the reviews beforehand. I sure will not use Cheapoair ever again, but I'm thankful everything turned out ok at the end.

There was a pretty good flight offer from DTW to STX. I went to book it. I got all the way through and when I pressed BOOK the price was about double. So of course I didn't go through with it. Minutes later a woman called and said she was from CHEAPOAIR, noticed I didn't book. I said yes, the price doubled. She said she could probably get me about that price. I held on and yes, she could, all she needed was my credit card number. I told her I wasn't comfortable giving that over the phone. She said oh, I have all your info, she rattled off my info. I said I understand that but you called me and if I can book online I will do it but I'm not giving you my card over the phone. She continued to rattled info. I hung up.

The next morning I get an email from CHEAPOAIR saying they were sorry I didn't book but they had some great deals online. I checked, the exact same deals from the day before. I thought, maybe they got some more seats, went thru the whole thing again pressed BOOK and same darn thing, double the price. I called and asked for the manager. He said the prices change all the time. I told him online the price was the same for two days. He then accused me of putting the wrong date in. I call this bait and switch and it's very wrong.

It was not available at the online price but the agent politely explained this was because it was not in real time whereas her screen was. We discussed a couple of fares. I agreed to her price that was competitive with other companies for the same flights. I paid and the e-ticket came back in around an hour. I have no complaints. Everything was professional. The agent also phoned me back in five mins to allow me to phone my son during the booking. The flights are for November and December this year. If there is a problem I would be surprised since we have valid BA airline tickets.

She got an attitude and was like, "Don't you think if we had it where a person buys a protection plan, then they would automatically try to get refunded." As events developed, the organization cancelled the ship due to Ebola continuing to spread right next door to Benin. The flight was with Brussels Airlines and my organization had been in discussion with them, but I had to do my transactions through Cheapoair. Cheapoair would only give me a credit for a year (to go back to West Africa on my own??) and they told me that Brussels Airlines would not provide the refund. They basically told me that they did not give anyone ebola and it was my fault for not getting insurance. Did they really expect me, as a nurse, to go on a surgery hospital ship, contract Ebola, and bring it back with me to the US? I contacted Brussels Airlines, they gave me a full refund given the situation.

When I did hear back, they stated that they would not refund my $50 because I only had 24 hours from booking my flight to report the problem. I did report it within 24 hrs, they just chose not to respond to my email within that time. SCAM artists!! ! Never again!!!!!

This company is a scam. I will never use them again and will tell everyone I know they are a scam. Their system is set up for mistakes and their rules charge obscene amounts for mistakes. The Cheapoair system created a spelling mistake in my first name. Calling the company they stated after 24 hrs (it was 25 hrs at the time of the call) a fee of $200 is charged due to airline fee passed to them. They kept me on the line reducing the fee to $100 if I did it right there and then. This was outrageous!

After further negotiation they said they could cancel the ticket and rebook for $50 only if I did it at that moment. I refused and called Lufthansa to get the real story. Lufthansa said no such fee exists. They suggested I conference them in 3-way with Cheapoair. After calling Cheapoair back and saying I would like to do this they made the change for free.

The story doesn't end there. My credit card was charged the full ticket cost, reversed, charged again.. extra $11.95 fee charged removed several times along with a $57 fee. I had to call them again to get the $57 reversed with no explanation for this fee. The $11.95 fee was for assisted seating which the representative said was a user error online (saying I did this). We did not select this for sure. The rep put a reversal in for this fee and said it will need to be approved since there is a time period of 10 days to request removal.

Additionally, the reps I spoke with were not willing to listen to what I had to say until I got rude and said, "Stop talking and listen to the story before you say it's user error." Overall time on the phone was about 4 hrs. I will happily participate in any class action suit against them. Their practices are downright appalling and furthermore un-American. I will continue to spread the word as nobody should have to go through this process ever.

I immediately called the company... I was told that there was no problem, it was going to be cancelled and I was not going to get a refund. They sent me an email confirmation at 9:35 AM stating that I was going to get a refund in 7 - 14 business days. I called them at the end of 14 business days because of course I had not received a refund. The billing department told me that it was a mistake and they were going to call AMEX directly. It is now 3 and a half months later and still no refund. I called them today and they claim that they won't refund the money because I disputed the charges through AMEX. Horrible customer service, rude. I was told by their customer service supervisor "to have my lawyer call them". I asked to speak to manager and I was told that there was no manager and the supervisor hang up the phone. It is just ridiculous that they are bluntly stealing people money & getting away with it.

In the meantime (not able to wait 3 days for Cheapo's reply) I contacted Dial a flight and booked flights at a slightly higher price, albeit the day before my original choice as the seats were not available (which I suspect is why Cheapo cancelled my res). Cheapoair had my phone number and e-mail address, but chose not to contact me before cancelling. Dial a flight had no problem with the card and gave me great service. Several days ago, Cheapoair told me China Air canceled the flight on 26 OCT and that I could return on 27 OCT. They then scheduled my return to New Orleans rather than Miami.

These changes mean that 1) I would have to miss my long-scheduled activities on 28 OCT and 2) would not return to Miami. After spending 2 unsatisfying hours on the phone with Cheapoair, they told me that they would not refund my ticket unless I paid them $200 penalty. I am ready to re-book with Air China for less than the original price I paid Cheapoair. Moreover, there still are tickets on Sunday, 26 OCT - only in a more expensive category. My husband and I have been working on getting a refund from a flight that was cancelled in December due to the ice storm in Toronto. I went to re-book in July (thinking I had a credit with Porter Airlines as that is what I was told by CheapoAir after months of fighting with them!) but was told by Porter that I did not have a credit with them. I emailed CheapoAir and was told via email that they would check into it with their billing department. Several emails later, they just quit emailing me back.

A number of FB messages and emails later by my more than outspoken husband, we find out the credit is with CheapoAir, not Porter and it was there all the time. It seems to me that CheapoAir purposely did not provide that information and it is obvious to us now that they use cancellations to make money because it is next to impossible to ever get a credit let alone find out that you even have one. They lie and push the blame on the airline when in actual fact it is CheapoAir that is the problem. I agree with others on this site that the best thing is to stay away. How can we get our message out to everyone???

This company shows misleading info and may charge much more. You should watch carefully (esp. flight dates) when you book flight tickets with this company. I bought three tickets from MSP to BOS from this site today. When I entered the dates of the flights I wanted (leaving on Nov. 24 and coming back on Nov. 29), the returned first item was very cheap but actually was of alternative flights on different dates that didn't specify (I didn't chose flexible dates) while the remaining were the flights of the dates I specified. There was a small sentence for the first one saying it was for alternative flights. I didn't pay attention to that sentence and didn't check the dates (I just checked the flight times) since the site said that there were only 4 tickets left and I felt that I should book the tickets as soon as possible before they were gone. Thus I bought 3 tickets of the dates I didn't ask for. The bought flight dates were on the same day (wired): leaving MSP in the morning on Nov. 26 and coming back in the evening on Nov. 26 too.

The practice to list a different date's flights as the first searched item is unique that I have not seen in any other sites. It is misleading. When combined with the prominent number showing there is only one more ticket than the number of tickets your searched available (it seems that was also CheapOAir's practice since it showed there was only 2 tickets left when I first searched with the default one person. Then I realized that I could buy only one ticket and changed to 3 persons and searched again. It then showed that there were only 4 tickets left).

A few hours later, I found the date problem and called CheapOAir. The agent told me that I could cancel it but needed to pay a charge of $50 per person (that charge is not called cancellation fee -- CheapOAir claims that there is no cancellation fee -- but serves the same purpose). The weird thing he told me was that: I couldn't get any refund if I hang up the phone and call again to cancel it. According to the agent, I had only one-shot deal: either cancel it to pay a total of $150 or book flights with him -- there was no charge if I change to flights of the dates I wanted with him. The cheapest price he found was way higher than what CheapOAir websites showed when I searched the site after he told me the price (for both the same flights or better-time flights on the same leaving and coming-back dates). He told me that the tickets I found with their websites were all gone because there were several hours delay on their Website (which is unbelievable -- how can such a long delayed website do any business nowadays). Then he gave me a small discount, but the total price was still higher than their website's.

Then I went to the airline's web page, which was much cheaper than their website's price (for the same flights) if I would buy there, which was of course much cheaper than the price he quoted me over the phone. He then gave me another small discount. The final price was about $40 more per person than what I could get from the airline's website.

After hanging up the phone, I received a confirmation email, which shows the total price was $69 higher than what the agent said over the phone (the agent told me the total price including everything). I called again, and another agent said that he had to listen to recording of my previous call first. I am still waiting for his listening result.

I booked 10 flights from Glasgow to Orlando, paid for the tickets and thought all was finalised. When I checked with the Operator some days later they had no record of my booking. When I contacted Cheapoair they told me that the Operator had removed the flights and that they were no longer available at the price I paid and that I would have to pay an additional 600 per ticket. I protested and in the space of a 30 minute conversation the price came down to an extra 200 per ticket. I became very suspicious and asked for a full refund and was told I could have one but it would take 30 days to clear. Cheapoair knew full well I was traveling in less than a week and probably assumed I could not afford to pay twice for ten tickets. However, I insisted on a refund and actually was paid in 4 days. I since found out from the operator that Cheapoair had themselves moved the flights to a sister company giving the appearance that they were no longer available when in actual fact they were. I think this is a deliberate tactic to put customers under pressure and push the price of the flights up. I strongly recommend that you do not do business with this company.

We found Amazing Rates to the Bahamas from the SW part of the US; $324 RT so we grabbed them. It has been a very interesting time to say the least. The first wrinkle was the flights changed from 10:30 pm to 12:45 am which was fine but whoever had made the change failed to look at the days correctly and gave us a 17-hour layover in Miami.

First of MANY calls to CheapOair only to find out very few of them speak fluent English. The first guy said, "Oh no, that is a typo." So, I hang up and started examining the dates and times and realize no it isn't - it was spread over a 24-hour period. Another call, finally, someone who recognized the problem and fixed it. Paid to have assigned seats.

Some weeks later, I was prompted to check on things only to find out our flight #s now had us going from Chicago to SF. What? Called USAir; yes there have been changes to your flight but you need to call CheapOair to get the particulars. Called them and waited on hold forever. The lady said, "The changes that had been made by airline won't work because you will miss your connecting flight." On hold for 30 min. and finally hung up and called back. Next time, it was, "We will call you back with the next available rep". So, decided to e-mail them. Never heard back.

A few days later, I received an e-mail with the new flight information. So after looking over the information, it looked fine and decided to choose the seats. When I received confirmation of the seat choice, our last leg coming home had the four of us sitting all over the plane which is a problem as we have a minor child traveling with us.

Yet another call to customer service and getting people I can barely understand. Oh, we can fix this for a fee. I told those I spoke with we had already been assigned seats. A supervisor was to call me back and never did. I e-mailed them and never heard back. Finally I called back one more time, sat on hold forever. When a rep got on the line, I just wanted to speak to his supervisor. The man spoke decent English but when I told him who in their right mind would seat four people traveling together all over a plane, esp, with a minor child, his response was, "It is the best option available on this flight. I suggest when you check in, ask the ticket agent if you can be seated together." So okay, we will just wait to sort this out.

A few days later, I thought I should just call USAir to see if they can resolve this seating issue. Lo and behold, we are not flying on USAirway but American. Different flight #s and different confirmation code might be good information to have but no e-mail as of yet from CheapO letting us know of this change. A very nice lady at USAir transferred me to American and yet another wonderful lady from their "Customer Service" who happens to be in the US and speak clear English walked me thru their website so I could print off the new information and our new assigned seats which happen to be together.

I really doubt I would use CheapO Air ever again because of their choice to outsource their customer service. We have people in this country who need jobs and they happen to speak the language. If companies are going to outsource, they really need to have a way for customers to be transferred back to the person's home country to resolve problems.

One of the invoices had an, "post fare" fee - what is that? That's a, "we have your credit card, so we can screw you now" fee? I fought all of those fees and they refunded them and I cancelled my flights and was outraged at their tactics, so outraged that I would not accept anything less than a full refund so the total was $0 to CheapOair. They can get good prices and ALL the agents are working those fees up to get a bigger commission - push them down - barter - offer them less. You can frequently get it.

I scheduled our flight in March of 2014 for August 2014. Circumstances changed and we needed to return a few days early, and was told that the cost would almost equal buying new tickets, just to return early. Now we are faced with losing the total cost of our flight and lose $954.00 for just a few days change. From now on Cheapoflights will NEVER get my business, and as a Nuclear Technician that travels 9 months out of the year, I will spread the word of this to all my fellow workers.

DON’T EVER BOOK WITH CHEAPOAIR.COM! IT’S A SCAM!! On August 8th, I was trying to book a round-trip flight ticket from Shanghai, China to Reykjavik, Iceland for an engineer in our company on CheapOair.com. Every time after I filled in my payment information and was trying to submit my order, the price went up from $2,000 to $3,000, sometimes $2,500 (in which cases I accepted the offer and tried to proceed, but again, the system declined and the price went up again to $3,000).

So this goes on and on until 10 minutes later, a sales representative whose name is Albion **, called me on the phone saying that he could help me book the flight, but the cheapest rate he could provide is $2,500, which is $500 more than the price listed on their website. BUT I was in a hurry, because our engineer had to leave in two days, so I let him went on booking. A few minutes later he charged my card and emailed me the flight confirmation. I relieved and thought everything is set in stone! HOWEVER!! I didn't even expect something much more HORRIBLE is waiting for me!!

The returning flight from Reykjavik, Iceland back to Shanghai China is INVALID for anyone who doesn't have a Russian Visa!!! The returning flight contains two stops, one is Petersburg and the other is Moscow, both are cities of Russia, so a Russian Visa is required in order to transfer from Petersburg to Moscow! Who applies a Visa just for a flight stopover country!!?? Why didn't the CheapOair representative remind me that before he went on booking!?? Because of the absence of the Russia Visa, our engineer was refused to check in at airport when he was trying to take the flight to Iceland!!

The staff at Shanghai airport told him unless he changes his returning flight (a flight that doesn't require a stopover country’s Visa), they won’t let him get on the plane. So I called CheapOair immediately to change the returning flight, but they said I should call the airline company and they don’t know anything about Visa. I said I don’t need you to know anything about Visa, just change the returning flight so our engineer doesn't have to stop at Russian twice!!

They finally agreed to change the flight for me, but kept me on hold for 1 hour and 30 minutes! (During the hold they ask me couple questions after every 20 minutes waiting!!) I called them from China, the international call cost me $150!! I really want to give up during the wait, but we had everything scheduled with our Iceland customer, and our engineer’s Visa is only valid for 6 days. From August 10th to August 16th, he has to get on the plane!! Finally they managed to get me another flight which leaves on August 11th, which is one day later than scheduled and they charged me $819 for changing the flight as penalty!!

That’s ridiculous!!! That’s their fault, why I have to be punished for another $819, plus $150 international phone bill! Because of the stupid mistake of CheapOair, I have to spend another hour explain to my customer about the delaying and rescheduling the hotel stay! My boss blames me on ruining the whole schedule and won’t reimburse me and almost fired me!! I hate CheapOair and I will post this everywhere and tell everyone I know to avoid CheapOair!!

They allure you with cheap flight rate. When you trying to pay for your order, the price goes up dramatically, and they will have their sales person to call you and book problematic flight for you which you will not find out until last minute when you trying to get on the plane. Finally you have no choice but to call them to change the flight and pay your penalty! That's their whole scam! Be careful!!

Now I had to wait for the funds to be returned to my account and I cannot book with Priceline because I'm still waiting for 4 thousand dollars to be refunded. CheapOAir seems like their system is gaming the consumer. I booked for a cheaper price and even confirmed the dates. But the next day they told me the flight is changed and no longer available and they are blaming the airline, but clearly they wanted me to pay more for the new flight!!! SCAMMERS!! Stay away from them and use another service! Google sucks now because their flight search listed cheapoair as the default booking service.

The second woman overcharged me by $200 and then didn't send me a confirmation email. While I was speaking this second woman, the FIRST woman I spoke to called me on another line and told me that the second woman couldn't make another booking because she has already taken the payment. I had no idea who was right and who was wrong and they were from the same department!!

I tried calling and emailing back and didn't get through to anyone until 24 hours later. The THIRD man I spoke to told me that my credit card declined and that now the booking was an extra $100!! I spoke to my bank (Commonwealth Bank of Australia) and they told me that CHEAPOAIR had tried FIVE times to take out payment from my account. They took out $2700 in TWO SEPARATE installments and then on top of that they tried TWICE to take out $100. I told the THIRD staff member I spoke to that I did not trust their service and wanted to cancel. He wasted three minutes of my time trying to get me to change my mind but I had to make sure he would send a cancellation email. Now I have to wait 7-14 business days to get my money back. We had plane tickets to travel to Israel July 31, 2014 with our family of 6 on Aeroflot airlines. For the past two weeks prior to our departure, we tried to reschedule or cancel our trip due to war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. When I spoke to an Aeroflot agent at the airport, I was told that we had authorization to cancel our trip without penalty. However, the airline agent told me that we needed to go though our booking agent to get the refund. Cheapoair denied our request, saying that Aeroflot denied our request. Not true.

Initially we tried to reschedule our trip for a later date. Cheapoair required a $325/person change fee. That's almost $2,000 for our family of six. It didn't matter that there was a war or that we were to travel in harms way with our children and grandchildren. Had we booked our flight with Aeroflot directly the cost would have been $100/person. We cancelled our trip July 31st, on our departure date. That's when Cheapoair lowered the rescheduling fee to $100/person. This is a sign of a company that will try to take advantage of its customers, not to help them. To purchase trip insurance from Cheapoair was $400/person. Whereas trip insurance from most insurance companies is $100/person.

Cheapoair agents were always polite when we were able to reach them. We were kept on hold for an hour or more numerous times. Never speaking to the same person. When we were told someone will call back, they never did. We stayed home waiting for calls that never came. We were desperate to resolve our predicament. When we would call back the following day, an agent would tell us that someone did return our call but no one answered. Again not true, we were home. That tactic occurred numerous times.

We finally cancelled our flight reservations on July 31st and initiated a dispute against Cheapoair though our credit card company. As a result we recovered approximately $8,000 we paid Cheapoair. If your travel plans go smoothly, then you are lucky doing business with Cheapoair. However, if you require service don't expect to get any. Their business practices may be on the edge of being legal, but don't expect to get quality service. I recommend doing business directly with the airline.

    Original Review: Aug. 4, 2014

I am writing this review as I wait for some sort of response from Cheapoair about a flight I booked with them. Had I read this website first, I never would have gone near them!!!... Basically, I booked a flight from Thailand to China return in the middle of this month. They were slightly cheaper than booking directly with the airline. I chose the flight for the good times and short stopovers. All was well until last week.

I received an e-mail saying my layover time in Chengdu on the return leg had been extend from 2 hours to 10 hours and I wouldn't be arriving in Bangkok until after 2 in the morning. They gave me the option of accepting or declining (I declined as I had another flight to catch). They said they had received my response and would get in touch with me probably within 24 hours but definitely within 48 hours to help sort something out - that was 48 hours ago.

I have tried ringing their "schedule change" desk but am put on hold constantly and as I am calling from New Zealand, it gets expensive. I have also e-mailed and tried connecting with live chat but am always cut off even though they always say I am second in the queue. When I try to check my booking, it says there has been a major schedule change and to ring them, which of course I have done numerous times...

I am unable to see what flights I am now booked on and am having trouble getting in touch with the airline as well... I cannot believe a company is allowed to operate which has such terrible customer service!! I travel a lot and will definitely NEVER use them again and will be telling everybody I know to never use them as well. I will in the meantime keep trying but advise other people to pay the little extra and book with a more reputable company or with the airline directly.

Before I write this report, I've been searching through internet about this Company (Cheapoair). There are hundreds complaints about schedule change from Cheapoair. It is the time to stop them. Here are the stories.

I bought three tickets on May 5th, 2013 from Cheapoair. The flight was supposed to be scheduled as depart on 01/27/2014 and back on 02/19/2014. But instead, my return flight has been change to 02/24/2014. The airlines had made couple times schedule change for my booking, and Cheapoair always send me the email with the link that you can accept the schedule change. I always click the link and accept the schedule change. ALWAYS.

On 01/20/2014, they send me an email about schedule change from airlines, but this time doesn't include the link that you can click to accept the schedule change. Instead, the email contain information about schedule change and ask me to call to confirm the schedule change. Also if I can't reach them by phone, the email said I can simply just reply the email with a "I accept the schedule change" in subject line. Well, at the first time I already have hesitation about this situation, so I decide to call first. The number that I dial was a number for Department of schedule change from Cheapoair, which they don't even pick it up for hours.

Then I have no choice, but to reply the email with "I accept the schedule change" on the subject line. On January 26, 2014 (One day before my flight), an email from Cheapoair sent to me and said that they are unable to retrieve my booking, and ask me to call the schedule change department again. Note that 01/26/2014 is Sunday as I remember, the day that the schedule change department is close. I was terrified, shocked. I try to call again and speak with sales department; they finally transfer me to a person who can handle my booking. And he said that my booking is good to go. So then finally I had my flight on 01/27/2014.

Here goes the problem when I supposed to have my return flight on 02/19/2014. We were at the airport and try to check in, but the staff of Saudi Arabian Airlines told us that our flight has been moved to 02/24/2014. We were Shocked! There is no way that we will accept that. First, it's 5 days different. 5 days means 5 days accommodation, food, and transportation. 5 days means 5 days wages lost. Secondly, I brought a Senior citizen (Passenger's name **) who needs a medical assistance.

I tried to call Cheapoair internationally, but the hold is way too long and it's cost a lot for every second that I've been hold on line. So I decided to call my sister-in-law who live at California to help me to call. She finally transferred to a manager after hours waiting on hold. The Manager offers us a flight on 02/20/2014, and even willing to take care our accommodation and transport. So we accept that! But the terrifying is not end there. On 02/20/2014 morning 6:00 am, an email from Cheapoair came, and it said that they are unable to give us the flight. Again, I have to bother my Sister-in-law to make another call. This time, the manager didn't offer anything but ask us to pay another $3000 so she can give us a flight that day.

It's ridiculous! So we tell her that we're going to buy our own tickets from other travel agents, and will take legal actions later. But the manager said that she will try to work with our refund. We've been fought for our rights almost half of year now. Made a hundred calls to Cheapoair. They always confuse us with the refund. Sometimes they said that we have to call customer representatives to close the "open" tickets so they can refund the tickets. Sometimes they said that my booking number is not on the system. Sometimes they said that don't have any manager or supervisor available.

It's been an exhausting and stressful effort that we gave to this case. Cheapoair said that they already work with the airlines, and they send me a $141 refund as they said that they only can refund the tax that I paid on tickets. I mean, really? $141 - it's not even worth for every call that I made to Cheapoair. I think everyone who wrote the complaints about Cheapoair in internet needs to unite in a group and stop them (CHEAPOAIR) as one. We need to fight for our Consumer rights. For everyone who wants to join me, I am ready! Just send me an email and we can go from that. I will probably create a Facebook page like CHEAPOAIR HATERS or something and we can act as one to sue this company. Thank you very much.

I was not expecting and was not told about an additional $170.00 in costs/fees. I even paid for the Travel Protection Fee, which is useless unless there is an illness, which is the only way you can possibly cancel the ticket. I called but was given a lip service and was told they will check with the other airline why they couldn't find my ticket. I found out that it was all cheapoair mistake because they failed to issue (buy) the tickets for one leg of the flight. I also found out that they are not member of www.asta.org which is a big red flag. But I will file a complaint with www.bbb.org and will dispute the charge with my credit card company as well. Just Avoid at all cost and dispute the charge with your credit card company; they will fight and win in your behalf.

I guess I should have realized when they wanted my credit card number to charge me a $15.00 fee that I should have run away. After they charged me $15.00, the rate is no longer cheaper than just going to the enterprise website. In fact it is $15.00 more expensive. Plus they charge your credit card when you make the reservation for the total fee of the car. I'm glad I cancelled even though I lost $15.00!

I got on this website shortly after I had booked my flight with CheapOair and I was scared to death afterward. There were so many horrible reviews. And I had no reason to worry. Most of the reviews I've read are the booker's faults. So of course, it's gonna make the trip difficult. And yes, pricing varies. They don't always offer the best deal, but it's up to you as the consumer to figure that out before you book. I WAS offered the best deal for my trip to Switzerland and everything went smoothly. You just have to make sure you're putting in all your information correctly.

However, if you have a fear of a flight cancellation or changing the plans, don't book on this site. You won't get a refund. However, if your plans are set, like mine were, it was a great and cheap website. You just have to make sure to do your research and put in your information correctly. Don't let reviews scare you if you have already booked.

I called again and the only thing they would do is refund me $50.00. They would not even let me cancel the reservation and start over even though it was and still is available. I made these reservations in Feb. 2014 for a October 30th date. I kept calling but they quit answering my calls. We booked a flight with CheapOair UK from Bolivia to Brazil. The tickets never arrived (email), so we called them and asked what's up. They said it would probably be fixed in 30-45 minutes, and we should call after that if we all hadn't gotten any tickets. So we called them again after 1.5 hours and we basically got the same message. Then we called again and they forwarded the call to the ticketing department - or at least so they said. We never got to the ticketing department because apparently they don't take any customer phone calls. So, we kept going doing this for an entire day, only receiving vague answers or forwarded calls. At the end of the day, they said the flight could not be carried through because of 3 hours check-in time was too little in between two different airlines. We had to cancel the flight and find a new one in the middle of the night. After reading CheapOair's policy set, reading reviews online and my own experience - I can say: please stay away from this company. I believe it's a scam and any positive reviews seem like they have been posted by the company themselves.

My first ticket was non-refundable, so I had to pay a $50 fee to have the money turned into credit to use for the purchase of my second ticket. Everything seemed good until I was notified that I wasn't allowed to use this credit unless it was for a single airline company, so multi-airline flights were automatically out of the picture. I was not notified of this before I paid the fee, so I ended up losing the $50 as well as the money I spent on my original flight. Avoid CheapOAir at all costs. If I had cancelled with the airline directly it would still cost $200. Thus all Cheapo did was collect 75.00, there was no real insurance. If I had wanted to use it I would have had to fill out lengthy forms to prove I had been hospitalized but in reality it gave me nothing, but a lot of grief. Save your money. The airlines don't care if you have flight insurance and will give you another flight for $200 off the next time you book, meaning you pay $200.00 towards the next flight.

Now we have to pay extra money to rent another car separately, and the waiting in Bogota's airport for 7 hours will generate extra cost for breakfast and lunch, no counting possible implications that can incur with my elderly mother who is in a wheel chair.

When I called to complaint about the change, Cheapoair told me that the airline are the ones changing the itinerary. I called the airline and they told us that they did not make any changes and only the agency is responsible without any involvement from the airline. After much time spent contacting CheapoAir and the resort, we have finally received our refund for the over charge and have also received confirmation that our flights and hotel are booked.

    Original Review: June 21, 2014

We booked vacations at the price advertised on their website and our credit cards were charged. Two days later, we got a call from a CheapOair rep saying that it was sold out and asking for another $500.00. Through 8 phone calls, lengthy times on hold, lots of lies, we finally were able to reach a manager who gave us a credit. They'd charged our cards in U.S. dollars, even though the site said we were booking in Canadian dollars. After demanding to speak to a manager, we were emailed the contact for a manager. He actually called us back, credited our cards and confirmed our bookings at the original lower price. Hopefully, this vacation will work out.

The first time I thought, I'm such a dummy... should've been paying more attention. When it happened the second time & I made 100% sure what times I was choosing & it changed, I knew this site was bogus. After the fact I read other reviews about the website & noticed that other people had the same issue. So for everyone out there that thought they booked the wrong times, it's not you... it's them! I have called the customer service hundreds times without any resolution. They said that I have no refund no ticket. Which means that I have $1400 for nothing. Do not be doomed by their low price or travel insurance. Before buying a ticket just Google their name and see how many complaints they have. Their customer service is the worst in the planet.

I will never use CheapOair again. The call center is very unprofessional and refused to transfer me to a manager. I called at 9 am and was promised a return call back just to get me off of the phone because the agent did not want to hold on the line for an Air Canada representative to fix my issue. It's one thing to say you can not fix my problem and another thing to transfer me to someone else and then lie about calling me back. I've spoken to 4 different customer service reps and have been told different things by each. I spoke with the first agent who told me he could not update my information with a frequent flyer account. I spoke to a second agent who said I needed to speak with the airline to fix a typo with my middle name. After waiting on hold forever with the airline, I was told CheapOair needed to fix the issue because they are the travel arranger.

I called CheapOair back and was told to just go to the airport, despite the fact that Air Canada told me I would not be able to board the plane if my name didn't match. I then asked to speak to a "supervisor." I believe I was transferred to another agent, as supervisors typically aren't under any time constraints to take the next call. Once again, this agent told me there was a 2-hour wait with Air Canada and he would call me back in 3 hours and that there is no need for me to call back. This agent lied because while CheapOAir provides a time frame in which they believe it will take for you to speak with an agent, Air Canada does not provide its callers with a turn around time. So once again, another agent lied to me but of course, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. And it is now 6 hours later and no one has returned my call.

The savings you get by using CheapOair versus just going directly to the airline's website to purchase a ticket are not worth the hassle and headache when preparing for a major trip, which you take the time to save your money for. Lesson learned!!!

Characterization that this is a dodgy unprofessional company is spot on, them and Spirit Airlines! Made reservation this morning that, once completed, I realized should have been an AM flight rather than the PM flight that I erroneously booked. Since perhaps only 15 minutes passed since I made the reservation, and noting that the email receipt plainly stated that "Free cancellations are permitted, if requested within four (4) hours from the time of purchase", I immediately called CheapO to cancel. They asserted that, despite the plain English statement, that said policy only applied to 'certain', unspecified airlines, and that Spirit was not one of them. Proceeded to spend 3 hours with CheapO and Spirit to try to cancel... AVOID BOTH!

I purchased 4 tickets at Cheapoair with a discount of $30 per ticket versus using the airline website 2 months ago. I received an email from Cheapoair telling me the airline had changed the times of the flight and to call in if I was fine with the changes, which I was. I called in and told the agent (after waiting 52 minutes on hold) that I was fine with the new flight times and to go ahead and reissue me the tickets. They called the airlines and "supposedly" the airlines said they could not accommodate unless I could leave a day earlier. I said no I needed the date I had bought the tickets and the reason for having to leave a day early was due to the flight being sold out. This left me no other choice but to get a refund which could take 2-3 billing cycle ($2,000). After the call, I spoke with a ticket agent at US Air and she found my old tickets. She told me if I had not cancelled, they could have worked with me and got me on the flight I wanted.

My question is I wonder if CheapoAir was no longer going to make a profit so they went ahead and cancelled the flight or they had to pay a difference to get me on the flights. I also assume this would never happen with Expedia or Priceline, thus do not use this website even if it saves you $20 a ticket it is not worth going through what I went through. I ended up paying $1,100 more for my flights and had to fly into a city 90 miles away!

I tried to purchase airline tickets online through the CheapOair website. After I had entered my credit card number and pushed 'purchase tickets', I received a screen message that said, "Oops, sorry, but someone else got the last seat at that air fare. The price is now $300 more. Click here if you want to proceed with your purchase." At that point, I shut down the computer and walked away because I did not want to be taken advantage of that way. Within 5 minutes, an agent from CheapOair called me on my cell phone (which I had entered as part of the info required to purchase the tickets previously) and said, "Hello, I understand you are having trouble making a purchase on our website!" I said I wasn't having trouble but that I refused to have the price change before my eyes at the moment I was making a purchase. The agent then went on to make me believe he was going to give me the best deal possible.

In the end, CheapOair misled led me over the phone as to the price that I was being charged for airline tickets and they did not inform me the tickets were non-refundable unless I requested a refund within 24 hours. I did not discover the discrepancy between what I understood I was being charged (~$4500) and what I was actually charged (~$6112) until I received my credit card bill, which had multiple charges from the airline carrier and from CheapOair. When I contacted CheapOair to request a refund, they said because I did not contact them within 24 hours of making the purchase, they would keep $1200 as a penalty.

I am currently working with my credit card company to dispute the charges. If this happened to someone such as myself who is fully capable of comprehending what I am told verbally, I can only imagine what this company may be doing with customers who are more vulnerable to being verbally misled or misinformed. Allowing companies to trap customers into charges over the phone, with little or no recourse after the fact, is far from a climate of trustworthy commerce, and it seems that citizens should not have to tolerate such practices.

On June 3rd I booked 2 flights - LA to Heathrow on Aug 2 and Heathrow to LA on Aug 9 - about $1800. Got the confirmation email with confirmation number, booking number, 2 ticket numbers and airline confirmation number. Everything ok. Next day I got an email to say that the LA->LHR flight had been cancelled by the airline because the last seat at that price (it seemed to show as the last seat on the plane as I was booking it) had been booked by someone else before my credit card had been charged. Called customer service and rebooked same flight only $150 more. (I note that if both flights had been cancelled I could've started over with another booking company!) Rebooked and got an email with another confirmation number, booking number, ticket number and airline confirmation number and showing the original ticket # for the return flight.

Yesterday I got my credit card bill. It showed that on June 3rd I'd been charged $1800 for each flight (contrary to what the customer service guy said!!!!) then it had been refunded, and on the 4th was the charge $1800 for the outbound flight only. But the email on the 4th said 2 flights. I decided to click on the 'check my booking' link and that showed 1 flight only - the outbound flight.

I called customer service and a woman with an Indian accent said that I'd called on the 4th to cancel both flights! NOT TRUE. Of course I have no control over what "misinformation" they write in their system. She sent another email confirming 2 flights. At this point I have to say I'm **dreading** getting stuck in London.... even more so now that I have read some of the terrible experiences that others have had.

All I say is, if anyone is reading this comment before trying to associate themselves with this so-called agency 'CheapOair', my advice to you is NEVER EVER dare to buy anything from them. On top of spending way too much money (as opposed to their cheap flashing adverts), you will lose your time, holiday and most importantly, you will be left with scarring experience of online flight booking.

I have booked with them way in advance (3 months ago) for my all time holiday travel (going back home after a very long time abroad). However 7 days before my travel date, I received an email from them saying there is a major flight schedule change on my booking and this wasn't their fault rather the airlines'. They sent me a 'Don't Reply' email and offered me another flight that entails me to spend 5 days in total connecting between flights and spending days in hotels before getting in to my final destination as opposed to my original direct flight I have booked with them. They said it's also my responsibility to cover all this extra expenses that I may be incurring staying in hotels for all these times. And of course they said I can also always cancel the booking and get fully refunded (not money but credit to spend with an expiration date attached to it).

I spent probably 4 days on the phone trying to establish a contact with them but presumably they expect these kinds of angry calls,. They prefer not to engage with them and as a result I was on hold for about 1 hr 30 mins on all occasions and the lines would finally cut off. Now I am less that £420, lost my 4 weeks holiday that I booked 3 months in advance and all I can do is email them and literally beg them to get in contact with me and solve the issue. In all my travel experience, I have never ever came across this kinds of business dealings. I can't even understand how they are still allowed to operate lawfully. On June 3, we received an email from CheapoAir that her flight had been cancelled and the next available flight was June 9, three days later! My daughter needed to be in Budapest before then to catch a flight home to the US. (This flight cancellation was Air Serbia's doing. They wouldn't rebook stranded passengers on another airline. I looked into Air Serbia's reputation and found out this happens often. They are 51% owned by the Serbian government and don't meet international standards for safety or operations... If I had known she was going to fly on that airline I would have said no!)

The email said to reply to the email stating "ACCEPTABLE" or "NOT ACCEPTABLE". If NOT ACCEPTABLE, CheapoAir would call us immediately to find another alternative. Guessing that their service would match their name, we both replied to the email and called them right away. They never called us, and we waited on the phone more than an hour and 45 minutes until we got an incomprehensible Indian at their call center. He was reasonably helpful but every alternative was double the price of the original ticket or more, and still landed her in Budapest a day late. We were simultaneously looking into trains and car rentals while waiting. He said we could get a full refund if we chose to cancel the ticket (Air Serbia independently said they would give a full refund, but to CheapoAir).

My daughter decided to take the train, so we cancelled, and then he tells us the refund will take "One to two billing cycles to show up," but that we would "get an email confirmation in 15 minutes or less" on the morning of June 5. No email ever came. Smelling a rat, we now have our credit card company investigating, and we found these consistent, negative reviews. We don't know yet if they will give us a refund, but it will help that our card company is involved. All told my wife and I spent at least 10 hours on the phone with CheapoAir, Air Serbia, our travel insurance provider, and our credit card company while my daughter panicked for two days on her vacation. Not worth the small discount we didn't get to use.

I can only hope they will review their policies and advertisements and make permanent changes so no future customers have this type of experience in the future.

    Original Review: May 29, 2014

On May 26, we were trying to find airfare for my husband to make an unexpected trip to Michigan on June 2nd. We found one on Spirit airlines on CheapOair. Their website stated that any airfare could be canceled within four hours of booking with NO penalty so we booked. Shortly after we found a much better deal, booked it and called back CheapOair immediately, less than an hour after original booking. They gave my husband the runaround but finally said they would handle it. We asked for something in writing. They agreed but sent nothing. We called back many times the next morning to confirm and they said they were working on it and we should be patient for seven to ten days. Then today the charge is on our credit card already. We've called both Spirit and CheapOair and can get nowhere. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

Cheapoair is not a company you want to buy flights through. I recently bought 2 flights for my new employees arriving from overseas to my home here in Canada. Because of a U.S. immigration technicality, I had to cancel their flights through Cheapoair but chose to rebook through Cheapoair so that my new employees could fly a different route that wouldn't have them touch down in the U.S.A. Cheapoair said that they would arrange a credit for the first flights that were booked and then cancelled. Within the hour, I received the credit. The credit said that there was a $0.00 USD cancellation fee and that I had a credit of $876.22 USD for the unused flights. I decided that I would like to use that credit with Cheapoair this coming weekend and fly return from Calgary to San Francisco.

When I placed my call, I ended up speaking with someone from India. The Cheapoair representative in India said that they didn't have the credit and that I should talk to West Jet because that's where my credit was. I called West Jet and they said that there was no credit with them. I called Cheapoair back and ended up speaking with someone in India again. The Cheapoair representative at that time told me that West Jet had in fact refunded my flight back onto MY Visa card. I didn't recall ever seeing a credit on my Visa so I placed a call to Visa to inquire if there ever was a credit that I may have missed. My Visa representative said that there definitely wasn't any refund on my Visa from West Jet or Cheapoair. I called West Jet and they advised me once again that I wasn't in their system anywhere. West Jet advised me that all of their ticket numbers start with "838" and that I should call Cheapoair back and get the flight numbers for my two new employees.

At this point, I feel like I'm in a game of "piggy in the middle". I don't blame West Jet for this. I call Cheapoair back and once again my call lands in India. The Cheapoair representative confirms two ticket numbers that I can then take back to West Jet. I call West Jet and they CONFIRM that a refund was sent to the visa number that was provided to them by Cheapoair. The problem with the Visa number was that it wasn't my Visa number, but a Visa number that belonged to Cheapoair. I learned this when I called Cheapoair back to advise them that West Jet had already released the money to a Visa card but the Visa card wasn't mine. The Cheapoair representative put me on hold like they had done all day. ON HOLD AGAIN! The representative came back on the phone and confirmed that West Jet IN FACT had refunded the money back to Cheapoair's Visa. I asked when they planned on forwarding it to me. The Cheapoair representative said that two billing cycles (two months) were needed to execute the refund. The Cheapoair representative said that he would have to put me on hold AGAIN so that he could transfer me to their admin department. I held and then got cut off.

As you can see in my account of the day so far, I've called Cheapoair several times and found myself on hold for a minimum of five minutes. Then when I do get through to someone, I have to go through all the details again and then guess what? I'm back on hold. I finally insist on speaking to a supervisor from North America. I figure maybe the office in India is too far removed from this American company. I finally get a call from the American office of Cheapoair and they agree that two billing cycles is needed to refund but then recognized that I was well past the two cycles (two months). The representative from Cheapoair takes down all of the details AGAIN and says she will go to her manager with the issue and get back to me. I wait and then finally get a call back. The American Cheapoair representative advises me that the credit they sent me was a credit and not a refund. In short, they got the refund from West Jet but were only "obligated" to give me a credit. I said "fine! Put the credit towards my flight from Calgary to San Francisco that leaves this Thursday and don't delay because there is limited space left and prices keep climbing." The Cheapoair representative then advised me that they refunded within 90 days if I wanted the refund instead of the credit. I asked her what happened to the two billing cycles that I was quoted earlier. She said that she and the people in India were mistaken and that it was a 90-day waiting period for all refunds.

The whole time I'm dealing with this Cheapoair representative, she's reminding me that she's going to work for me and that she's my friend and that I shouldn't be short on patience with her. She advised me that once again she would have to go to her managers and "fight" for my cause. I waited a few minutes and got the call back from her. This time she pointed out that she would like to apply my credit in place of the refund but couldn't because the tickets were issued to the two new employees, and pointed out that she recognizes that my Visa bought the flights, but the credit was for the use of the two employees because it was their name on the ticket and not mine. She said that if I waited another month I would get a refund of $720.00 USD. I asked why I wasn't getting the full $876.22 USD because the refund voucher from Cheapoair CLEARLY stated that I was being charged $0.00 USD for the cancellations of the said tickets. She just mumbled that I had to pay a cancellation fee.

So the summary of this experience with Cheapoair is that I have to pay a cancellation fee even though their voucher CLEARLY states that there is no cancellation fee. I have to wait 90 days for a refund that they have long collected from West Jet. In essence, Cheapoair is sitting on my money and collecting interest of which I will see none of it. Cheapoair has collected the refund from West Jet but chooses only to give me a credit, but not to me, but to the names of the passengers at that time? In short, I'm out of pocket for my flight to San Francisco this weekend and I may or may not get a refund from Cheapoair. All Cheapoair had to do was apply the money owed to me to the flights I needed this weekend and things would be fine and I wouldn't be adding to the long list of blogs warning people to stay away from doing business with Cheapoair. When I pointed this out to Cheapoair, they weren't interested. I plan on reporting Cheapoair to both the BBB and to West Jet. I will NEVER do business with Cheapoair again and I suggest you don't either.

I was online researching the price of a round-trip ticket to Tokyo, Japan. On one site, a Google ad popped up that advertised a RT flight to Tokyo for $808 through CheapOAir and gave their online address as contact information. I couldn't find the stated fare when I used their homepage so I called their contact number. My call was answered by an extremely rude man who insisted he couldn't help me unless I could tell him the exact site I had seen the ad on. So, I located the site again and called back. Again, the man I spoke with was extremely rude and insisted that the tickets must have already sold out. He did not have any knowledge of the advertised special, how many tickets had been available, when the special had been posted, etc. In short, he refused to provide any information relevant to the supposed offered fare.

When I called their Customer Service number, my call was bounced around from one sales person (NOT CSR) to another and then they hung up on me. What a way to run a business!!!! I'm just happy I didn't buy a ticket from them and then run into these types of problems en route to Japan! Don't be lured in by their "candy in the window". It really would be better to stay home and wait for a reputable sale or the next slow boat to China!

It started with me going online finding tickets for a reasonable price for myself and granddaughter who is 4. Called in to speak with the agent. He argued me down that I did not see the tickets I wanted to purchase. Even though I gave all the info about the flight he argued I was mistaken, almost had me convinced, but I was looking at the computer while talking to him. He hung up on me. I looked again and those tickets were gone. So I called back and got a pretty good CSR. Booked flight to New Orleans on American Airlines. If I can help it I will not fly that airline again. (Period)

I am an Evangelist of Church of God United and will also tell not only my church secretary NOT to book me with American Airlines, but all churches I have to travel to. I can not believe they still believe in 1st, 2nd, and they are on here too. My granddaughter and I received a half a can of soda maybe twice. We were not offered any snacks. Yet others were given and eating snacks all around us. I didn't have a seatbelt on because I had to wait for the announcements to end before I could ask for an extension to the seatbelt. We had been treated like second rates citizens. I was intimidated to ask even though I knew I needed it because we were already in the air. No one ever checked. Well that was my experience.

When I booked with Cheapoair, it seemed like a basic online travel agency. Nothing made me aware that it was a fetish site for indulging people with masochist cheapskate fetishes. I get that I can be a bit dense sometimes, but the name Cheapoair is borderline normal enough in the range of strange names for online businesses, that I really feel like a clue or two more about the site's nature would be called for. These folks are here to fulfill peoples' weird thing of being punished for trying to spend a lot of money. If you are actually looking for travel services look elsewhere! But if you get off on submitting yourself to prolonged punishment for trying to buy a service they're right up your alley.

I made a booking for a $1300 flight to Europe. First I received an email stating that the booking was declined then I received an email confirming the booking was being processed. Confusing, eh? I figured I'd talk to customer service to confirm. First attempt at using live chat I waited for a while with no response while the screen filled up with the helpful message along the line of "your concern is important to us" which the system reposted every 30 seconds. Finally I got through on live chat on the second try. I spent 23 minutes on there, at which point they were able to tell me that my credit card had been decided. Then I had the pleasure of being told they really don't want to help me and could I call customer service.

It took 20 minutes to get though to talk to anybody, all listening to advertisements. They then told me I should use another card or contact the card's issuer. I told them I'd done that and there were no problems. They just wanted to say the same thing over and over again. "It's your fault, it's your fault...." Customer beware of the site for masochistic cheapskate fetischists.

I had to book her on SWA and the AK flight was canceled by the gate attendant and she told my daughter to contact Cheapo for a refund to the credit card used. She did and did not get a satisfactory answer, so I talked to an agent at Cheapo Air about a month ago and they said the refund to the credit card would be forthcoming soon. When I applied the credit they said I owed an additional $350 to fly for 1 HOUR from Sacramento, CA to Los Angeles, CA. So I would've had to pay almost $800 to fly from Sacramento to LAX, CA. That is ridiculous! They have no sympathy for cancelled flights, no discounts and on top of that I got hung up on and the worst customer service by somebody that hung up when I asked for their name! I booked a flight on 16 May 2014 from DFW to Minsk and received an email along with a booking number. After several attempts to try and select a seat, I received a pop up message that says, "Your booking is confirmed. Your tickets are being processed right now. This may take up to 30 minutes, after which you'll be able to select your seats. When the ticket processing is complete, you will receive an email with the subject line: Airline Ticket Number & Airline Confirmation". There is a link within this email to the Seat Assignment service. The "Select Seats" button on the Confirmation Page will also work post ticket processing.

Today, 19 May, I received an email that basically said, "Thank you for choosing Cheapoair.com. This is in reference to Booking Number **. Due to the airline(s) not confirming your booking, we were unable to issue your tickets. We have searched our system and have found alternate flight options for you. Please click on the View Alternate Flights link below to view the options available to you. You have the RIGHT to cancel this booking. If you choose to cancel, there is absolutely no service fee and no cancellation cost to you. If you have any questions or need further clarification please call us at **, where one of our customer service agents will be happy to assist you." Really, Cheapoair! This is the best you can come up with?

My wife called the airline to confirm this, which they advised they do not see the information in their system, the booking number that is, and eagerly called Cheapoair to find out what was going on. Cheapoair said they had a system issue and said they could not process my credit card to the airline. If it was my credit card, then why not send an email or provide me a phone call, but instead nothing. No call and no email to say my credit card was declined. I called Cheapoair to discuss this matter but was told by customer service that a supervisor would call me within an hour as if they were already aware of my issue. No such call happened after about 2 hours. I called again, only to get routed to their ticketing department to discuss this matter. I was told they could not honor the price that I booked. They want me to either cancel or select another flight which I will do neither. Why not just honor the price and charge my credit card, Cheapoair? If my credit card was no good which I know is, why not take another credit card?

This is terrible way to run a business. Cheapoair lies and tells you they call you and left a message after I booked the flight about my credit card did not go through. No call came through as I have Caller ID and an answer machine. No call. Customer service tells you a supervisor will call you. No call after 4 hours, as I write this complaint, when you are told they will call within the hour. Terrible service and bad business.

    + Insurance of $24.99
    + $50.00 cancellation fee

+ $50.00 rebooking fee (WHICH THE WAIVED FOR ME BECAUSE OF ALL I HAVE BEEN THROUGH, THANK YOU!)

    = $392.79

Cheapoair did call me back and I thank you for letting me book a ticket even though it was impossible for me to get the ticket for the price I could see online because you do not allow your customers to use their credit in real time. I called with the dates my niece would be traveling. After waiting on hold for 32 minutes someone finally answered. Burton walked me through the new flight I was booking with my existing reservation #. Please note I paid the $50.00 insurance in Nov 2013 and thank goodness because the night before my niece was flying out my mom has a heart attack so I had to fly home instead and her trip was cancelled. I called the airline thinking because I paid insurance I could use the ticket however I had to then pay a $50.00 cancellation fee. So originally I bought a ticket for $197.80 (sounds like a great deal right? NOT SO FAST) after paying insurance the ticket was $247.80 and then after needed to reschedule they said I could only get a credit if I paid a cancellation fee for $50.00 so now the ticket is worth $297.80 however my credit is only $197.80.

I found a reasonable flight for her to come out in Aug so I called in because I am unable to book the ticket myself online and use my credit. After waiting on hold for 32 minutes Burton said, "ok, we have a flight and it will be an additional $118.00" (so now the ticket price in total is $415.80) but I said, "BOOK IT I NEED TO GET OFF THE PHONE BECAUSE IT HAS NOW BEEN 35 minutes just to rebook a plane ticket." He said, "I will book this and be back in 3-4 minutes." Burton came back on the line 13 minutes later and said "THE PRICE WENT UP SO YOU NOW OWE $250.80 FOR THE TICKET." I AM SHOCKED, after wasting an hour of my time you now expect me to pay over $666.00 for a ticket all BECAUSE I HAD TO CANCEL MY FLIGHT prior to departure?

THE WORST IS THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE FOR OVER 30 MINUTES BUT DUE TO THEIR UNBELIEVABLE CUSTOMER CARE AND HORRIBLE WEBSITE I NOW HAVE TO FILE A CHARGE BACK WITH MY BANK, BBB complaints, OCC complaint and also report this to FRM and all consumer protection agencies including airlines specific. This has been a colossal waste of my time and there has been NO DEAL! I should have just got straight to the airline and paid a tad more and I would not have had to deal with this. SO disappointed and cant believe he put me on hold until the price went up almost $300.00. I am disgusted :( and YES I do want an attorney to call me about my complaint!

I was told that my credit card got declined (an amount of $28k was charged to my card even though they said they didn't so of course it was overlimit). So I had to provide them with a new cc. The correct amount was about $11k (we had some children on the flight so some amounts were less). The confirmation email came but the names were wrong. Some of the names and last names were not capitalized and the name for the infant is totally wrong. The wrong names were the ones I've corrected with the guy the night before so the guy who finalized the transaction the 2nd day picked up the wrong information. Not sure how that happens.

Anyways I was told not to worry about the names because they send it to the airline all caps. However, they could not process the one for the infant since it is complete wrong and that we have to just "go to the airport and purchase it there during check-in"! On top of this, they charged me an extra $530 they named "post booking charges". To be fair, I was able to talk to a supervisor. His name is Galvin and he helped me on everything though he told me he can't fix the infant ticket issue. I said that I just want to cancel the entire transaction because I don't want to deal with unforeseen issues. He helped me clear everything including, surprise, booking the infant ticket the next day. However, I still don't have a verification email, the names are still incorrect though I was told not to worry and my card still has a balance of $27K++.

Their customer service is horrible. First I am on hold for an hour or so on each call. Then once I get someone, I would be bounced off from one person to the other and no one cares to help. There is no one interested to help you unless they want to upsell. One person talked to me asking me if I want to reserve my seat (of course) just realizing after that I have to pay extra $14.95 per person. Oh and by the way, they can't reserve the long haul flights because the airline has not opened it yet but the shorter flights are reserved. Honestly, I only care about the seats at the long haul flights of course. I don't care where I sit if the flight is only 1 hour! So I am trying to cancel but they won't let me. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! Now I am afraid I will have issues on the day of the trip and there is no one I can contact or no one would help. I want to cancel the transaction but they insist it is a good transaction. Again I want to be fair. Gavin is wonderful but I don't want to deal with this company and never will.

After doing a search online for prices, I went to book a flight. The website kept coming back with an error that I had not entered a valid birthday. I called their customer service 1-888-** number for assistance. The man told me that there was a glitch on their website so he could book the flight for me. He came back with a cost $200 more. He said the flight was no longer available. I did the search again as I was sitting in front of my pc and said it was still showing available online and told him if it was no longer available why would not the site just tell me that instead of saying that I entered the birth date wrong. He said he'd find the flight and help me with booking so he looked up the specific flights and found them. After finding the correct one for the right base price, he said he couldn't give me the travel insurance for the same cost as online, giving me a cost that was still almost $100 more than what was the final price online. Hours later, I still see that flight available at the less expensive cost and yet I can't book it.

When I booked my flight I was all excited and when best price showed up I bought it. Unfortunately the best price was for different dates and when I called to complain or get changed they said tough luck. I said they should alert you that it's for different dates but they didn't care and wanted to charge me another $300.00 to change. Luckily I was able to move my reservation for the condo I had already booked as they were much more flexible. Since my booking Cheapoair has changed my flight twice. The most recent as two days ago and I leave Wednesday screwing up my rent a car times. I travel a lot and have never run across this. Thought I'd give them a try but my bad. NEVER USE CHEAPOAIR and book directly with the airline. If it wasn't my honeymoon and I'm willing to let it go this would have tainted my trip.

My family booked 3 tickets from Paris to Kolkata to assist to my wedding for a total coast of $2385. Unfortunately my wedding has been cancelled for personal reasons. This is a very expensive trip for them therefore they bought non refundable tickets as nobody thought the wedding would be cancelled. My parents decided to go in India to visit anyway as we knew we would not get back 3 tickets. But my sister is a waitress and she cannot afford to do this kind of trip if this is not for my wedding. She has been saving for several months. I asked Cheapoair if they could make an exception and at least refund my sister flight ticket but no one cares and no one wants to do anything for us.

I asked if we could at least change the name on the ticket so that I can sell it to a friend or member of my family, but they do not wish to do anything. I asked them if at least they could change the destination and change the dates, they do not wish to do anything!! All they offer is to change the date for the same destination! Why would she do that since she does not have any reason to fly to Kolkata anymore! No one feels empathy, no one cares and no one wants to help! If they do not wish to refund, I would like to at least change the flight for Brussels to Newark next year as she would have more reason to go there and we would not lose $795!!

So I just booked my flights through Cheapo from YYJ to BNE and it costed me $2400. After the fact I found out my sister is pregnant and needed to change my flight to get home sooner. I told the agent this in the very beginning of our conversation. So as he was looking into flight changes he quoted me $1400 extra so I said no way. He then came back with a price of $600. That still seemed too expensive considering I've already paid $2400. So when I said no again he noticed I had purchased the insurance and told me it would be covered. He literally talked me into changing it and of course thinking I would get a refund from insurance I agreed to change it.

Once I got off the phone with him he sent the new itinerary which had me leaving from Toronto instead of Victoria. Obviously I had to call back to change it and this time I got a different agent. He changed everything for free which I was happy about. I asked him as well if the $600 I just paid would be covered and he said yes also knowing the reason why I changed it. To my pleasant surprise when I called the insurance agency they said pregnancy isn't a reason covered by them. So I then spoke to an agent at Cheapo through the chat service online. She said they would look into the phone records and call back. Shocker, they didn't call back. I am now waiting on hold to speak with a supervisor about getting a refund. Not happy and if I am not provided with a refund I definitely won't be booking anymore flights through Cheapo.

Also, they said that on their database they found an itinerary(exactly the same as before) at the same price!!!!! Now they say that if I want I can get the flight at the new fare or cancel the flight without any cost for me (except, I guess, the money they already charged to my debit card, 1407.20 USD, without buying any ticket). The email is pretty ambiguous as well as the terms and conditions, in which they say that TICKETS are not refundable, but I did not have any tickets, therefore I pretend that at least they let me pay the difference with the new flight and that provide the ticket as soon as possible...

Total trip time each way (including layover) was about 22 hours. I entered all four of the passenger information, promo code, chose trip insurance. Price came to $1624.00 each plus $94.xx for trip insurance, promo code took $25.00 off. Right when I started to enter the Billing information, their system flashed a window saying my session had timed out and I needed to reload it. (Funny - how does it time out when I am typing???).

When I reloaded the page - guess what? Price jumped to $3154.00 each! Just about double! When I called and waited over an hour to talk to someone, all they could say was that it wasn't their fault. The airlines are in charge of their prices. However, it was THEIR website I got my pricing from and THEIR website that kicked me out and then tried to charge me double. What a bunch of crap!!!

I made a booking reservation and paid with my credit card yesterday. I received a confirmation email saying that everything went well and with a booking number. I attempted to select my seats for the flights from the confirmation email and I got the following message:

    ------------
Your booking is confirmed. Your tickets are being processed right now. This may take up to 30 minutes, after which you'll be able to select your seats. When the ticket processing is complete, you will receive an email with the subject line, "Airline Ticket Number & Airline Confirmation". There is a link within this email to the Seat Assignment service. The "Select Seats" button on the Confirmation Page will also work post ticket processing.

    --------------

No email came after 30 minutes. In fact I waited one day and nothing. Therefore I attempted to call Cheapoair over the phone today and waited literally over 1h 20 minutes to get hold of someone at customer service. After giving my booking #, I was told that my booking was cancelled because there was a problem with the credit card. I told them what was the problem exactly as I use the credit card all the time and the only problem could be is that I am overseas and the website verification system may not like that. I was told to wait to be transfer to the billing department to attempt to make another payment again. And again, I hold again, this time literally for over 2 hours and I was not able to get hold of anyone.

This is really ridiculous and unacceptable service. If there was a problem with my credit card in the first place, I should have been inform at the time I made the booking, and not after 24 hours, when I made a call myself to complain about my missing ticket. This is a big problem for me because I already made hotel reservations and already paid for it and made business appointments. If I do not get this flight, I will lose a lot of money as well jeopardize my business relations. This is the first time I use Cheapoair and so far I am EXTREMELY disappointed.

We were looking online for flights in Brazil during the World Cup. My friend input some of his details including contact number. We must have been looking at the Cheapoair website, as suddenly they phoned to ask if they could assist with the booking. They were very persuasive and we booked 4 flights. All was ok until I checked the airline operator TAM website using the TAM booking reference. Of the 4 flights, the first was departing 12 hours earlier than booked, the second 2 hours later, the third was supposed to be an hour direct flight but was indirect with a 10 hour stop over, and the fourth flight didn't exist still all.

I contacted Cheapo and have had the same experience as all others here. On hold to customer services for hours before being cut off, no responses to emails. I eventually go through to Damian who tried to sell me different flights, none of which were convenient. I was on the TAM website direct and could book cheaper, better timed flights than he could offer. He insisted that their system was more up to date, and the flights I could see were not available. I went through the whole booking process online with TAM until I was one click swish from booking. Only then after 2 hours of arguing did he agree to refund 65% of the cost. I said that was unacceptable, and after another 20 minutes on hold whilst he "spoke to his manager," he agreed to refund the full cost of 2122.

I asked for written confirmation which he could not provide, he put me through to their billing department in Las Vegas. David confirmed the refund had been applied for but would take 2 billing cycles "as they had to get the money back from the airline". Again I asked for written confirmation which he would not provide. After being transferred 3 more times and waiting on hold another 30 minutes, I got through to "Brodie" in Delhi. He did finally send a confirming email, but whether we will actually ever receive the refund remains in doubt. This is by far the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I would warn anyone against using them ever again. The whole process is a con and a scam. Given the number of similar reports, I am not quite sure how they are still in business and not being investigated for misrepresentation, fraud, or worse.

He was suppose to fly to Edmonton on the 4th of May but unfortunately he was unwell so I had to book him just a day earlier. I called cheapoair to change the date and the customer representative told me it would cost $406 extra to book a day early. I was shocked. I asked him what were the charges added on. So he said $75 for changing, $150 for penalty and the other were some fees and taxes and changing ratios things. All together I spent $1178 for a domestic flight. If my dad was well I would have never changed the date. After that he said he did the changes and I would get the ticket in 10 mins.

I called my far uncle and asked him if I could email him the ticket and if he could give it to my dad. Since my dad is born in 1947 he has no good relationship with technology and does not even know how to on the computer. I waited for an hour but did not get any e-ticket. I called again and again and again but each and every time I got no response. The CSR said 2 hours then 4 hour and then 8 to 10 hours. On top of that I was waiting on hold each time for more than 45 mins. I got so frustrated I did not know what to do. Finally I called and as soon as the CSR picked up my call I just said "Can I speak to your manager?" Again another long wait. Then I finally got the ticket at 9:47pm in Edmonton that means it was already around 12am in Montreal. The service was so horrible that I have no words for it. I would rather pay a little bit more and book it through the airlines. Never cheapoair again.

I called Cheapoair over & over & over to get a real person who could help us. Booked my roundtrip tickets on 4/30/14, got confirmation email with confirm number from the airline and E-ticket number. Credit card was charged same day. The next day I called up the airline to select seats and they told me the agent (cheapoair.com) cancelled my booking and its no longer in their system. I then called cheapoair immediately. To be exact, I called on 5/1/14 at 10:55AM and spoke to their agent Ridhi after waiting 40 minutes on hold who then put me on hold another 20 minutes to transfer me to her Supervisor, Roland. Roland tells me a software glitch caused the ticket to get cancelled and they'll work to fix it but I should call around 9pm that night.

I call back at 9:30pm and their automated system gives me the option to have the system call me back when an agent is available and the wait times is approx. 20 minutes. 45 minutes later I get an automated call back saying, "You are first in line" then followed by "We are experiencing technical issues, please call back later." *click* I called again today 9:30AM (5/2/14). Put on hold for 40 minutes, the agent asks to reconfirm my details and as I'm giving him my booking number he HANGS UP ON ME!

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the problem when doing business with a company that outsources everything (everyone I spoke to were Indian people with American names). Having no personnel in the US and no accountability allows them to operate with such shenanigans. Now maybe I could ask to cancel my ticket altogether with cheapoair but the prices are now ~$600 more and feel like the fare I booked must have been a bait and switch job to fool the search engines like Kayak so that cheapoair appears on top.

I've called again this morning and as I type this I'm on hold for 38 minutes. If I'm being scammed, I will report to this to DOT, BBB, and Department of Consumer Affairs. What's especially scary is that the only reason this cancellation got caught was because I contacted the airline to change my seat. If I hadn't called them, I'd be at the airport ready for my 20+ hr flight halfway around the world and turned away.

I have booked with Cheapoair before with no problem and the lowest fare I could find. However, my recent booking needed to be cancelled because of date conflict. When I called the customer service to cancel my flight, the representative offered me to change the date at no extra charge. I was on their website checking the prices while I was on the phone with the rep, and I found the new reservation actually was $200 cheaper than my original reservation, but the rep insisted the prices are the same. Since it was within 4 hours of booking, I could cancel the reservation with no penalty, I thought I would just cancel the original reservation, then rebook the new flight online myself. The rep reluctantly agreed. Then things started getting interesting.

When I select the flights online and entered all my data, I got a message saying that flight was sold out. Right away my phone rang! It was a rep from Cheapoair! He told me he can get me another flight with same date and destination, just with a bit higher price and that the price and flight I tried to book was now $300 higher, and that if I don't book now, I will also lose the price he offered soon. I told him I wanted to book the flight online myself and hung up. Then I tried to search the flights again. This time, there was NO flight available at all! Even though my original search had over 10 pages of results! I cleared out my web browser's cache and cookies and then do another search. This time I found the same flight and price as it was before and book it with no problem. Apparently, CheapOair embedded a cookie in the browser once I cancelled the 1st flight and tried to force me to book through their agents with higher prices.

CheapOair has an easy-to-use website and most importantly, they have very good airfares among the traveling sites. However, getting calls while I tried to make a transaction online does make me feel violated. A pushy sales agent with threats of losing a particular price is just so outdated. Embedded a cookie on my web browser to prevent me booking is simply ugly and not very smart. After all, there are still so many other websites that we can get a good price from. I still book this flight because it has the lowest price and I was trying to have the same itinerary with a group who also booked through CheapOair, but I would advise anyone try this website "proceed with caution".

I booked an airline ticket for 3 on April 29 through Cheapoair. Few hours after the booking I was informed that I need a US Transit visa for any flight that is having a stopover in US (and the flight that I will suppose to be in will have a stopover in LAX). Realizing that I don't have enough time and don't want to get a fuss on greeting the transit visa, I called Cheapoair right away to see if they can find a flight that won't be stopping over to any country that need a visa. After waiting for nearly 2 hours, the customer representative told me that he found an alternative flight but I have to pay $US300 plus for each passenger and with different date of flight.

Considering that I am tight with the budget I ask him (a guy named Bryan) if how much be the cancellation fee if I will just cancel it? He told me that I have to pay $US25 for each passenger. Thinking that I would rather lost $75 and will get my money back and just find another company that offer much cheaper airfare tickets, rather than paying 900 dollars more and with the different date from that of the original date, I asked him if how long should it take before I will get my money back and he told me that it will take 7-14 days. So, I decided to cancel the ticket. Which according to him he did and I will be receiving a confirmation email after 10-15 minutes stating cancellation.

After almost 4 hours that I never receive the email, I call them again and I told them that I didn't get the confirmation email for the cancellation. She asked for my booking number, name, and billing address, and told me that the email has been sent, and she went off. I read the email, and I am not satisfied with it. The amount that they said I will be getting back doesn't have a dollar sign on it, and according to the email I will be receiving a refund after 6-8 weeks. Since I want a detailed confirmation email, I called them again and I stated what I want and I told the lady (her name is Donna) that I want a detailed email for future legal purposes.

After a few minutes, I got an email stating all the name of the passengers, the amount that I will be receiving, and how much will be deducted. A sentence that says, "While we make every attempt that the amount is credited to you at the earliest, in some exceptional cases this may take two billing cycles to reflect on your credit card statement." Makes me wonder that she told me that I will be getting the money back on my credit card within 4-7 days. I am crossing my fingers that the money will be back to my credit card few days. I am really disappointed with the customer service that this company had provided. It took me almost 7 hours on the phone just dealing with this cancellation.

After constant exchanges, a representative took their time to help bring this issue directly to the billing department. Very soon after, my second charge was refunded. I am thankful for the time they took since I've been busy with school.

That said, cheapoair.ca's customer service is very questionable. I was assured by someone there, back when I requested a refund a month ago, that the issue was being dealt with, whereas the recent e-mails ensured the refund was done immediately. There's dishonesty taking place somewhere that must be checked.

I booked a round trip flight from LAX to Toronto through CheapoAir and was somehow charged twice for the same ticket straight out of my bank account! I contacted customer service and was told I would be refunded. That was almost a month ago and they still have not refunded my money. I've tried emailing them - with no response. I feel I've been very patient, but this has reached a point where it is unacceptable. They took my money without authorization and did not return it once the error was brought to their attention. Some people would call that stealing. I have been advised to contact an attorney, but I'm hoping it won't come to that and that posting here and on the Better Business Bureau site will get their attention so that they will refund my money now. By the way, on the BBB website you won't find these guys under the name CheapoAir. They are listed under the name of FarePortal, Inc.

Booked a RT ticket for my mother-in-law a while back. While she was able to complete the Departure leg of her booking, she was unable to do the return. Two weeks prior to her return date we called to try to change the date, as we had purchased the insurance. After being unable to get anything change for less than $500 dollars for several different dates, I just gave the agent two WHOLE months for the return date. After over 1 hr on hold and back and forth, the agent found a date at about $300 difference. Problem solved! NOT!

Was called a week later and told that they could not do the change. Really? A week later they can't ticket it? They said that it was not available now and that she needed to fly this month or lose the ticket. Nothing for the next 5 FIVE months at any rate! Doing the paperwork to file a BBB complaint as these people are just scammers. They should not be allowed to operate a Travel website at all!

I booked a flight to Australia through Cheapoair.com. When received the confirmation email, my name was spelled correctly in the greeting but was misspelled on the ticket. I contacted them to get it changed and was transferred many times and was hung up on several times. When I was finally able to speak with someone, they said that would send a request to the airline to get my name changed and I would need to call back in 4-5 days. I waited those days and then called back. They then said that they were still contacting the airline and I would need to call back in a couple of days.

I waited four days and was told that they were still contacting the airline and that I would need to wait. I asked them how they were trying to contact the airline, because when I call Qantas, it took me only a couple of minutes to speak with someone. They kept dodging the question. I just want answers and a resolution, but won't give me anything. I just want the name changed on the ticket.
