I made a reservation to travel from Miami FL to NYC on a specific date, the site unknowingly gave me an alternate date. I right away called to cancel, the rep on the phone told me that I could cancel but it will take 7-14 days for the refund, so therefore I shouldn't cancel and rather make a reservation by them for the date I do want. I didn't want, but the rep drove me crazy I shouldn't cancel, so I asked him if I will be able to cancel my new reservation, he told me, “Yes, within 24 hours you could cancel.”, so I told him if I will be able to cancel I will make the reservation now and will see later if I wanna keep that reservation. He made me a new reservation.
When he finished I asked again, till what time will I able to cancel, he said, “Hmmmm since this reservation is with Spirit airlines, you will have to contact them to cancel.” So I asked him, "Didn't you tell me I will be able to cancel within 24 hours, and only that’s why I made the reservation?” He said, “Well, you will PROBABLY be able to cancel but it will have to be directly with Spirit...” I called back a hour later to cancel and the rep told me same thing, contact Spirit directly. I called Spirit right after to cancel, they told me that they have no credit card for this reservation, and therefore I have nothing to cancel for, since there is no payment for this reservation, the rep assured me, “Don't worry, you have nothing to cancel for.” I called back Cheapoair waited over half hour to reach someone, with no luck.
A few hours later I called back again to be sure that I won’t be charged, they let me wait on hold for about a half hour and said reservation is confirmed and can’t cancel. I told them: 1) I only made the reservation if I will be able to cancel, and the rep who made the reservation assured me so! 2) I called spirit airlines to cancel and they told me I have nothing to cancel for since there is no payment for this reservation so how come you go a few hours later, after I already called Cheapoair and Spirit to cancel and you confirm this reservation?
She put me on hold for another 20 minutes and said somebody will call me back tomorrow. Tomorrow came and I received a email that they tried to contact me and couldn't reach me, which btw they DID NOT CALL ME. I called them back later in day, waited OVER AN HOUR on phone, with no luck to reach anyone. The next day I chatted with them and they told me, that now I am past dated and can’t anyway cancel.....Bottom line: I never ever saw a company being so dishonest, and has such a bad customer service!! I wouldn't recommend anyone to make a reservation by them! STAY AWAY!!!!

I was charged a $75.00 fee for booking 3 flights through that company. I did not see anywhere while I was booking that an extra charge would be added to the invoice. I noticed the charge on my credit card bill as a separate charge from the ticket. When I called back to inquire about the charge, the agent declared that it was in the terms and conditions. If I would have known, I would not have booked with them.

I am a Dallas Texas resident. I cancelled a 7th December flight on 4th December 2014 and Cheapoair jumped at the opportunity with over $250 fare increase added to $300 penalty. To add salt to injury, the new travel date was screwed up by reps that barely spoke English. The offered insurance cover I took earlier was a sham too. Fortunately, I live in the litigation world and It is time someone puts a stop to this exploitation. In the coming days, I am sending out a contact address for a class action lawsuit. Please stay tuned. This is too wrong.

I always book online but never encounter such kind of travel agency... Cheapoair is totally a scam. This happened June 26, 2015. Try to browse our airline tickets for the best deal.... I supposed to book our tickets from YVR to Rome to the site we used before. But I change my mind because I found out Cheapoair has the best deal but unfortunately instead of saving money it's a lost. To make my statement shortly...I decided to book it on their site. For all I know me and my husband check properly all the details before we proceed to our booking. So we booked it. I'm so shocked when they send me the confirmation… Why our name is not in order. They totally messed up our booking. I call the next day and I think I talk with this guy from India. I told him about the problem on the itinerary they send to me that our name is not in order the way I'll do it when I'm typing. But he said, “you have to call the airline to correct it.”
So I call the airline. They said you have to talk to Cheapoair to fixed that. So meaning they give a run around to fixed the problem. So finally I call again. I talk to another guy. He said “I cannot change anymore. If you want you can cancel that.” I told him “how can I cancel it... It's already paid and all I want is to correct it.” I told him “I’m gonna talk to the airline maybe they can help me to fixed it.” He's so mad to me and told me “I'm gonna call the airline now...you still gonna comeback to us.” I know it's a total rip off because he wanted me to cancel the tickets instead of helping me how to fixed that problem. I talk to the airline regarding this matter. They said they can fix it but I'm gonna talk to cheapoair for not cancelling the tickets. I told the airline it's not my mistake because it's very obvious my billing name is not the same as what is in the booked etickets...it's not in order.
I was caught in the middle. I DID TRY TO ASK FOR any manager to help me to get a resolution for this ...they never give me a single call. They even cut off the line as soon as you enter the booking no. on the phone meaning they don't give me a no choice but to cancel it. I told him if I do that I will be refunded the full amount. But nope the amount we agreed on the phone is not the same amount he refunded to me. And the guy manage to taken off another $450.00 on my Visa account without my knowing. If he told me that's the amount of the cancellation fee, I rather not to cancel it. Because when I talk again to Air France and ask them for help to fixed it, they said they can help me. Go back again to cheapoair not to cancel the tickets so I go back again. Talk to another idiot specialist…they said it's canceled but actually is not cancel yet when I spoke to one of the airline agent.
I can say this company is really the most worst company I've ever encountered my whole life. They advertised cheap airfare...you’re not actually not gonna save but ripped you off even a single penny out in your pockets. This is the company they advertised. They try to victimized so many people round the globe for their false advertisement. I lost money but this is a lesson to me. Now I'm scared to use online booking again because of what they did to me. Don't try to make business with them. They are cheap company. NEVER GONNA USE THEM AGAIN.....Ever.

CORRECTION ON PAYMENT: I cancelled a return trip for my sister and me from Charlotte, NC to Trenton-Mercer, NJ on Monday, Jan. 26. I made the round trip reservations with Cheap O and flew Frontier Airlines. Due to the forecast super-snowstorm, I had to get home before the storm came -- due to transportation reasons from Trenton and inadequate diabetes medications if I stayed longer in NC. I called Cheapoair and rescheduled our return flight for Sunday, Jan 25 (There is only one flight between Charlotte and Trenton-Mercer on 5 days a week -- no flights on Weds. or Sats.). I was charged $490 in additional fees ($150 penalty + $340 difference in flight costs).
All Frontier flights were canceled on Monday and Tuesday. No Frontier flights to Trenton on Wed. Thursday was sold out. So Friday Jan. 30 would have been the first available had I not changed the flight to Sunday. I called TravelEX for a refund and was told Cheapoair's cancellation policy only covered labor stoppage. I was told the policy covered all cancellations/delays from the New Delhi agent. So instead of paying $345.41 for two adult tickets, I paid $835.31, not including Frontier's baggage and seat charges. I can not understand why I am not receiving a partial refund, when the penalty fees were waived by all airlines, but not Cheap O. In light of the pending snowstorm, I feel I should not have paid the difference in flight costs, as well.

The customer service is real bad. CheapOair also send me the itinerary change which turn out to be all wrong on the new date on my return flight. When check with the airline, I was informed only change in time by a couple of hours. I am still waiting for the seat assignment. I will never ever use CheapOair again. I booked my ticket 5 months in advance for my wedding! It is Jan 30th and they have just informed me my departure time has changed, plus the date I had scheduled to return home was changed. I tried to get my date changed back in order to actually have more than three days with my family for our wedding. I went back and forth with the airlines and the travel company for four hours.
Finally I asked a supervisor to contact the airlines with me to get the mess sorted out. After she had to hold she said there was nothing she could do and to call back on Monday. I refused to take that as an answer, just because she did not feel like holding. The lady then began screaming at me and becoming very aggressive. I asked if I could then speak to her supervisor, where she informed me that the person was busy and unable to talk to me. I said I could hold and wait for the person, she then was screaming at me again and laughed and said "what, are you going to stay on hold all day!" I said "ma'am you realize this phone call is being recorded," and then I asked for her name where she refused to give it to me and placed me on hold AGAIN! I would suggest just going with the airlines themselves!

This is my 5th attempt to get some response from CheapOair. I have been phoning (from New Zealand) trying to get hold of anybody at the billings department at various times of our day and night. Every time I get referred to your billings department and every time I get a recorded message. Every time I phoned back and spoke to the customer services people in Delhi of wherever they are, I told them to PLEASE not put me through again, left my phone details to request a call back but this has also never happened. At least this morning I spoke to somebody (in Delhi) who promised me I will get a call back and I really hope this time it will happen. (But please be aware of the time difference as we are a few hours ahead of you and I may not make any sense if I get a call in the middle of the night.)
When we made this booking on the 21/1/15 the amounts of NZD 375.99 and NZD 365.75 were deducted from my Visa account on the 21/1/15. Then it was deducted AGAIN. I phoned your 24/7 service center on the 21/1/15 and were told this is normal practice as the one lot of payments were classed as a “soft” deposit and the money would be refunded in a few days. On my Visa Statement it was classed as a “Visa Hold”. My bank agent informed me that this was not a problem UNTIL it shows as a “VISA PAID” on my statement which then means it has actually been deducted.
On the 26/1/15 I have checked my bank statement again and this time the DOUBLE transaction was listed as a VISA PAID. The amount of NZD 375.99 was deducted twice and so was the amount of NZD 365.75. For 2 adult tickets from Johannesburg to Namibia I have now paid NZD 1463.00 (USD 1061.00) instead of NZD 731.50 (USD 530.98).
I have confirmed with my bank that this money has become an actual deduction from my account and they have recommended that if I cannot get hold of you soon I should lodge a transaction dispute with them and they will take up the matter. I truly hope that this will not become necessary as I am leaving New Zealand in 2 days for South Africa and then this will become a nightmare for me to resolve. This money that is now deposited into your account is needed for my trip to Namibia. I have flown many times but never in my life had as many problems with a company as with CheapOair and I would like to have this resolved immediately.

We were making flight reservations with Cheapoair and per their website I chose dates that I wanted to fly and paid for the flights. However when I received the confirmation the dates were completely different. I called within the 4 hours per their website and actually I called within 45 minutes of booking the flight and the order was cancelled. The customer service rep said that I chose flexible dates which I know that I didn't because of my work schedule. So all of this was done on January 9th.
They said it would be up to 14 days to receive the refund. I received part of it but I am still waiting for the remaining $352+. Every time I call customer service I get the runaround. I called Friday January 23 and spoke to a supervisor in India who said our refund was next in queue to be processed and we should have it by Monday January 26th. Today is the 27th and we called back again and getting the same answer, "It's been sent waiting for approval." We asked for the supervisor's superior only to be told that James is out of New York and because of the weather he was not available. When we asked for their consumer affairs or formal complaints department they said that they don't have one. I wish I would have looked them up with BBB or Consumer Affairs before using them. I could have saved myself a lot of headache and bill money.

Attempted to book a flight to Alaska through Cheapoair. After researching pricing and flight connections, I chose to book online. The booking attempt would not accept my information, resulting in a phone call to complete the booking. The agent with Cheapoair indicated that one of the flight numbers on their web site was inaccurate, which caused the web site to not accept my online attempts to book the flight. After giving me the correct flight number, she informed me of the cost. The price increased by $100 for my two tickets. Attempts to have her honor the price that I thought I was quoted through the web site was unsuccessful. I feel that this is false advertising and misrepresentation. She naturally blamed the problem on the airline for not updating the accurate information.

This complaint does not involve me changing any of the booked flight details. There is nothing I changed on my flight and yet Cheapoair STILL messed everything up. Hours wasted, $60 dollars worth of international calling to sort of the mess. Here's what happened:
I booked a 1 way domestic flight from Koh Samui to Bangkok. It's only a 1-hour flight. Made the booking on their website. Input all my credit card info and Website said "booking confirmed." Got a confirmation email right after stating and I quote "Booking receipt" in the email subject line. Email contained Cheapoair confirmation number, Bangkok airways confirmation number, numerous mentions that my ticket is non refundable, my credit card information stating how much was charged. So you would THINK everything is fine. All booked and ready to go. But NOPE, you are dealing with CHEAPOAIR.
Here's where the problem started. Checked in 4 hours early because I wanted to see some tourist destinations around the airport before leaving. On check-in, the airline could not find my booking, not with my name or the confirmation code provided to me from Cheapoair. What he hell?!? Why send me a booking confirmation email, charge my credit card, then not actually make any reservations for me?!?!!? I did nothing to warrant this, I went through THEIR website, booked the flights, paid, checked in on time. I did not make ANY changes. So I called Cheapoair. They put me on hold, and then disconnected me. Called back, on hold, talked to rep about problem, put on hold and disconnected again!
I was wondering maybe it's the Thai SIM card I was using. So I use the airport landline (which cost me $60 CAD for international call because they put me on hold for 30 minutes trying to figure this out). Eventually they told me that my 7:55 pm flight was all sold out! Really?!? If it was sold out then why the hell would they let me book it, then confirm it through email. Finally after hours of calling and waiting AT the airport check in line they told me they changed my booking to a later flight.
Absolutely ridiculous. Not only were hours wasted on the phone with them trying to figure this out, then they book me a flight 1 hour later. Now 4 hours gone from my vacation, and a flight that was only supposed to cost me $160 is now costing me $220 because I had to sort all this out. And I missed out on 2 tourist destinations I could have gone to if this company wasn't **!

On Jan.21, 2015 I made a reservation for myself and my daughter to Europe. When I got my email confirmation, I saw a change in flight duration. I called and was put on hold on and off for over an hour with no answer to my question. I called back the next morning and the woman at CheapOair said it was a mistake and ignore it. Five minutes after I got off the phone I get an email thanking me for adding flight insurance. No one even mentioned flight insurance. I didn't want flight insurance. So again I call and they said I would be refunded but it would take 1-2 billing cycles to show up on my VISA. Next day my VISA company calls and says that there are THREE charges at over $3,000 each from British Airway, American Airlines, and CheapOair. I told them that I only made one reservation with CheapOair but was travelling on those two airlines. None of the charges matched the total I was charged on the web site.
I AGAIN call CheapOair and was told not to worry, the one charge went through and the other charges were mistakes.. Next day I got an email saying my flights are CANCELLED. Now I am above my credit limit of $10,000 because of all the money CheapOair took off of my credit card. Now I cannot purchase another ticket. CheapOair told me that they would refund me (again) in 1-2 VISA billing cycles. That does not help when I need these tickets now. I am so angry and frustrated and helpless, feeling I want to throw my computer through the window. I will NEVER use them again and please, please DO NOT USE. No happy ending here. Borrowed money to buy new tickets directly from airline. I lost out because I could not get my same flights and so I have 4 more hours of travel than I would have with original tickets. Unbelievable.

We were charged $1070 in change fees for a $2011 international ticket. I had to make changes to the ticket because the first leg of the journey was delayed by over an hour, causing me to miss my international connection. I had purchased the TravelEx Insurance policy, assuming that it cover things like this. At the time of the event, a rude agent from Cheap-O Air issued an ultimatum, indicating that the change fee could be paid in full or the entire ticket would be voided out. The agent also indicated that we could apply for a reimbursement. Well, if you can apply for it, I would assume that you should have a good chance of getting it. TravelEx insurance came back and said, "that's not covered. We're not giving you anything." Cheap-O Air then came back and said, "hey, delayed flights aren't our fault. We aren't the end service provider."

A couple of weeks later we just happened to double check our confirmation and noticed it said we left a day later than we were suppose to. She had taken a screenshot of the original confirmation and it showed a little note saying there is flexible departure dates. We called to change it and they would... Only for $200 for changing the flight plus another $200 for the actual flight. So it would be over $800 for us to change the flight. Unfortunately we couldn't just cancel cause it was over ten days and if we were to schedule a new departure flight on the correct day and not take the wrong date flight, it would cancel the flight on the way back. It's wrong the way they do business and we'll never use them again. My advise is to double check the dates and make sure there is nothing weird like the flexible date departure.

I have booked direct flights in the past from Cheapoair, about two and four years ago, and have had good luck. YET, most recently I booked a trip to the Caribbean with a layover. A day later, I received an email stating the flight needed to be changed. I contacted Cheapo and was told the layover time did not allow for me to collect my bags. Okay - fair, but why didn't the Cheapo rep I booked over the phone with pick up on this? Any other reputable travel agent or airline would have. And, of course, now they wanted additional money to rebook another flight. Hmmmmmm... I grew skeptical and decided to Google Cheapo for reviews. Suppose I should not have be shocked I found so many bad ones.
What was most DISTURBING (AND IF ANYTHING ELSE, PLEASE READ THIS): if you call TOO MANY times, which I did of course, you will receive a message stating, "I see you have called several times..." Then you will be put on hold for awhile only to hear another message stating "The number you have called is no longer in service." Disconnect. I tried from another phone and put the booking number in only to receive the same messages. I did finally connect with them to cancel my flight altogether, using my husband's cell and going through as if I were a new booking. When I asked the rep why Cheapo was making it difficult for me to get through to them (why I was getting this message), he completely ignored my question and rudely said, "So what do you want to do, cancel your flight?"

January 17th I got an email saying the itinerary for departing flight from BUF may 2nd was changed. I thought I don't have a flight out on May 2nd, I am returning on May 2nd. So I pulled out my paperwork and sure enough they had booked my flight leaving BUF May 2nd and returning May 2nd and yet my car was booked for April 18th to May 2nd. After I called them back re the email, I ended up with $604.00 US penalty fees plus taxes so a flight for 2 ended up being over $1100.00 US.
After numerous calls to cheapoair and United, all I ended up with was $126.00 refund, even the reps at United said why did they not catch that from day one when you booked your car at the same time? A "supervisor" told me it’s on my fingers the mistake and they cannot refund the penalties. Obviously there is a flaw in the online booking process. A normal person would think a warning should pop up both on their end and the customers end asking you to double check your booking because your car and flight don't match but nope they said “why should that happen, people do same day flights all the time” and my response was “and they rent a car for 15 days at the same time for nothing” and once again the "supervisor" said “it’s your fault, you get United to waive the fees to us and we'll waive them to you.” HELLO IT’S NOT UNITED’S FAULT.

'It's impossible,' I was told 0_0 so I called Westjet who made it clear it's quite possible to modify or cancel the ticket. Cut a long story short, I paid $584.50 for my ticket... after much rigmarole on the phone with an agent, I was told they would deduct $150 cancellation ($75) and taxes ($75). So I was told I would receive a $375 refund. I told them that's still missing around $60. They said 'oh that's service fees and that's also non-refundable' so they basically put me out more than $200 bucks, wasted hours out of my day and left me with the worse travel agent service I have ever experienced. I asked to get the $441 flight which had better travel hours. The agent said he could not do that. While I was on the phone with the agent (Dunbar) I was able to book my new flight for $441. He kept me on hold for a long time and was messing up the booking by putting in the wrong dates. When I made my new booking I told him to cancel the old one which he said he did. I received a new booking number and confirmation email. I thought I was set and ready to take my trip. I followed up with my bank to make sure funds were taken out and was told it was not. I then called cheapoair and they said that my booking was cancelled. I told them that I did not cancel my booking. They then lied and said the airline cancelled my flight. I called US airways and they showed that cheapoair cancelled my flight. Now 10 days later I have no resolution and information. They took $23 from my credit card, have please look into this.

I call cheapoair and am put on hold for at least an hour. When I finally speak to someone letting them know I need to change the flight date, I was expecting a cost of $50 or even $100 to change it but the rep searched the flight for the ORIGINAL booking date and tells me I will have to pay $300+. basically same cost for a one way ticket. In total I spent $900 when it should have cost me $500., called and emailed trying to get supervisor, but of course, they were unavailable. I told them I did not because I have to come back on the day I chose and they told me I could change it back for 800 dollars. This company needs to be shut down. Well I rec'd a call on 12/23 that I need to come home asap - she is in ICU, called them, got some Indian guy that said I can't change the ticket. I have to buy another one at a ridiculous price and I can't leave for two days and because I did not want to commit with them he started actually yelling at me and then finally hanging up on me.
I called Royal Jordanian airlines and got a flight the very next day and my mother ended up passing away but luck to see her before she died. On Dec. 23rd I called their insurance which was travel x to tell them that I need to file a claim. I spoke to an Evelyn and practically discouraging me from putting claim of how long and I have to sign a document from my mother's doctor, which is fine if they emailed me that info. Got home today and called travel x. Guess what - no such records of that phone call. I asked to speak to a supervisor - of course they're in a meeting. And so they didn't have a car for me, they finally found one hours later at a different company. I was downgraded and ended up paying well over double! 2 and a 1/4 times!
After getting home I called Cheapoair customer service. They said they would look into it and get back to me with in 48 to 72 hours. 6 days later I still had no call back. I called them and they said they would call back in 24 hours. 2 days later nothing! So I called back, was hung up on, called back again. Nowhere in the credit letter was it stated that the Fare Class needed to be the same. In fact, the new fare quoted was not the original fare quoted. Extremely unethical company, no integrity. This is the worst online airline to book tickets. You book a flight when you want, then CheapOair moves your flight to 3 days later, because the flight you booked is not available but they don't tell you that. Then they want to charge $250 to change the ticket. They trick consumers. If you don't uncheck a small box, then the company changes the day of flight up to 3 days after you wanted to fly. It happen to me 2 times. My son had to fly back on Sunday to go back to college, but CheapOair says the flight was schedule to leave Wednesday, which I did not book. I have my mom funeral and they change the day of flight to 3 days later after the funeral would have been over. Rude told me to book a whole new flight and take a credit for unused ticket or pay $250 to change it. Very sneaky business practice. NEVER USE THEM. Post cheapest flights that were never available in the first place. Other companies will let you know that a flight is not available before letting you pay.

I booked a flight with CheapOair from Boston to Bali in mid November. I had to repeatedly call over the 6 weeks to get confirmation codes and only received the one for the major leg of the trip (Singapore Air) after several calls two days before trip start. I had separately been trying to work with Singapore Air about seat selection (a medical issue requires aisle seating) but Singapore Air said my ticked arrangement only allowed for seat selection at the gate and that I had to deal with CheapOair about this. I was also told the airline transfers were not complete so my baggage would not be transferred along the way. Every time I called CheapO, there was a different excuse.
I finally decided I could not fly with my medical condition and so many loose ends and tried to cancel under the Compassionate Exception Policy under their "terms and conditions" where it clearly states there would be 100% refund of a CheapOair cancellation for seniors over 65 which I am. Over a three-hour period of holds, I finally reached a supervisor who said this did not apply to flights (even though the language is simple and clear) and each individual airline would have to be asked make refunds, but were not required to. I was given the option of flying (and taking a chance) or forfeiting the $2,138 cost, or not showing up for my flight and being assessed penalties by CheapO.
If only I had read the warnings by hundreds of fliers before I booked. I did not want to risk a personal medical disaster so I forfeited. Shame on CheapOair for being so disorganized and having such poor customer relations and shame on me for not looking at the hundreds of negative reviews before booking with them.

I didn't understand how it's a credit, I paid $398.00 for the flight. I lost $148.00 and had to pay $150.00 in addition to my so-called credit. I purchased insurance with the understanding that if I had to cancel I would be covered, that was not true so again that's another $19.99 I lost out on. So overall my experience was awful. I called Cheapoair to be sure that the car is for 12 psgr they told me no!!! I called to Budget and they said yes. This is only the beginning. Then after 10 days I found 8 psgr car and I received it. I called to Cheapoair and they confirm that the car is for 8 Psgr. Since I know Cheapoair I called this time to ACE and they told me car is for 5 Psgr... So I called back to Cheapoair and they did not want to give my money back (Insurance).
I found other site www.carrentals.com and rent a car cheaper!!! But guess why??? In this site you can cancel and you get all your money back!!! Cheapoair is actually cheating their clients (because it’s Alianz the insurance company that work with www.carrentals.com cancel with no penalty). You can cancel the policy and you get email directly from the insurance company.
This company is very bad. You cannot trust on any information they gave. Stay long from this company. Cheapoair teach me again that what costs cheap at the end can cost you much expensive!!! This people are dishonest, liars and all agents are rude! I made a mistake when I bought my TKT to Brazil, giving my single name, instead of my married name as it appears in my American passport. I called American Airlines and explaining it to them; the reservation agent from AA told me that I would not have any problem changing it, with no cost, but I would have to ask CheapOair, as I had bought the TKT from them.
My TKT is: LAX/RIO with a stopover in MIA and the return is: RIO/LAX with a stopover in NYC. I assigned all the seats after I had paid for the TKT, paying extra price for the preferred seats that I bought - only for the Intl legs, MIA/RIO RIO/NYC, again here, although assigning for the available/free - seats as well, for the domestic legs. When I called CheapOair, a very rough talking woman, said that I had to pay $50.00 fee for the service. Of course, was my mistake, they charged me, and then I paid. This change of my name happened 3 days ago.
It was only today, checking my Amex, that I acknowledged the amount that I had paid for the preferred seats, was back in my account. Again, I called the airline, and was informed that I don't have any assigned seat. I went online in my reservation, and for my surprise, the rude and irresponsible woman from CheapOAir, who charged me $50.00 for my name changing, lost all my seats, she didn't hold them while changing my name; so, I lost them, together with $50.00 that I had been charged. I don't have any available seat in the leg of RIO/NYC (that I had already paid before) plus in the leg NYC/LAX - there's no place in the airplane for me.
I went back calling CheapOair. The new agent now, a man, put me on hold for 45 minutes (they do on purpose, for you to give up the call), but I didn't. When finally he came back on the phone, he dared to lie, saying to me that he was on the phone in another line with American Airlines, and that I have a seat assigned with such number, but I could not see it right away. I told him that I was online in my reservation/AA (refreshing the page on and off) in the site, and the idiot keeping saying lies to me.. like I was the idiot one, believing in what he was saying to me. (He even gave me the number of the seat- which I later verified with AA, no seats in my name, confirming his lies!) Who are they don't want to take responsibilities for theirs mistakes! I booked a multi-destination trip from Cheapoair on December 31, 2014 for $1975 for two people. We were to be going from JFK to Rome and then Berlin back to JFK. I received a confirmation and even the e-ticket in my email within a couple of hours. The next day, (Jan 1, 2015), I received an email from them saying that my itinerary had been changed and I needed to either email them or call to confirm that I was ok with this change. When I looked it over, the only difference was that the layover time had decreased for one of the flights, therefore, the plane would be arriving in Rome about an hour earlier. According to the email, the price was still the same. I had no problem with that, so I called to confirm. In the five minutes from receiving the email and calling, the price all of a sudden increased by $100. The agent tried to get me to agree to the increased price. When I told him no, he put me on hold. He then came back and said that he found another comparable itinerary. Again, it was more money.
I tried to tell him I did not understand why they would increase the fare on me, and all he could say is that the prices are always fluctuating. He then proceeded to tell me that fares are not guaranteed until tickets are issued. Well, I understand that, however, I had already had the e-ticket numbers issued to me. So regardless of the slight change (and really, it was only a slight change), shouldn't my fare have been guaranteed? Plus, the email I received just 5 minutes prior to calling still allowed me to pay the same price. It was after I mentioned this, the agent came back and told me that my selected flight was no longer available and I had to choose another one for more money. At that point I told him to cancel the flight and refund my money. He said he would do that after putting me on hold, again. We hung up, and I thought it would be ok. Well, I got an email that a refund would be processed but only for $27.90 that I had paid to pick my seats. (That amount did get refunded back into my account.) I did not receive an email stating that a refund would be issued for the $1975, so I called them again. This time the person stated that my tickets were still valid, but I was refunded for the seat picking.
Well, duh! I knew that already. He then gave me this whole story about how refunds could take 7-14 days to reach the account. I told him I wasn't calling about the $27.90 that was refunded to me and was confirmed in an email. I wanted a confirmation email stating that a refund would be issued to me for the $1975 for the tickets that he was now stating I still had. After I said that, he said, "oh, yeah, yeah, I see...the tickets are being refunded, it just takes 7-14 days..." I told him I wanted a confirmation email that a refund was being processed. I was told he couldn't do that. Right now, I do not trust that I will even get a refund because he told me that my tickets were still active and then abruptly changed his story. Both agents that I spoke to, in fact, were quite the story changers. Do not use cheapoair. Pay the few dollars extra to use a more reputable site. Because of them, my fun vacation planning has turned into something very stressful and is now completely on hold because I cannot afford to purchase more tickets unless/until I get that money back.

Didn't know my daughter's schedule for sure, but when I looked at Cheapo Air there was a Sunwing flight available, and the screen had big bold red copy that said "Free Cancellations", so figured I couldn't go wrong by grabbing the ticket at that fare and then could change or cancel if necessary - knew there would probably be a fee involved. Surprise, Cheapo Air, (after numerous calls, some of which they just hung up on me) tells us that it can't be changed or cancelled and that the "Free Cancellation" (which I had taken a screen capture of) meant that I could change it WITHIN 4 HOURS of booking it. Really. Like that's reasonable. So now they told us that we will just have to forfeit her flight - take it or don't take it but there isn't even an option to change, even with a change fee.
As a last resort we called SunWing, because we saw on here another review where United Airlines let someone change when Cheapo had told them no - and this was a class act. While we were on hold as the SunWing rep "checked with Cheapo Air", my cell phone rang with call from Cheapo saying that Sun Wing asked them to tell us again that it was non changeable, non refundable and at same time Sun Wing hung up on me. I was put on hold many times, refused a supervisor, and finally told to call back Monday (they don't even answer the phones on Sunday). On Monday after many holds, the rep had it fixed and said I would get an email on Tuesday. No email on Tuesday and the LAN airline site still had me on the original schedule. I then talked with a Cheapoair rep who said nothing had been fixed but that he would fix it. He took my number in "case we get cut off". We got cut off and he never called back. I am now on hold with another rep who says she has it fixed and put me on hold to confirm with LAN air. We will see. I will NEVER use these guys again!

This organization (if you want to call it that) is horrible. My friend booked a ticket from Europe to NYC with a layover in Washington and these people booked a 3 hour layover with the connection at another airport 29 miles away! Who does that?!? Granted he should have looked at the details but his English is not perfect. They should have advised him otherwise. They have zero common sense. When we called to have this corrected they put us on hold for a LONG TIME until we decided to hang up and book a separate flight. The service here is terrible and all they care about is making a dollar, not the customers' comfort. Book directly with the airline or a more reputable site. Will not be doing business with these people again!!

I booked flight to Shanghai for Nov 7th 2014, arrived at the airport 4:30 am in the morning and was told that my ticket was issued but voided. It was such a beautiful beginning of my 3 week business trip. Everything was planned almost two months prior that flight and here we go. Cheapoair never called or sent me an email with any notifications of any changes was made to my flight. I had to buy a ticket the same morning for the next day flight which was twice more expensive. And my plans were completely screwed up. I never got any apologies, compensation or any response from this company. It seems they don't care about you, they care about money only. I will NEVER use that crappy company and I don't recommend them to anybody.

I should have read reviews about CheapOAir prior to purchasing a ticket; however, I didn't raise questions until this evening. I purchased a ticket last night which was quoted at $133.09 and $14 or so for the travel insurance. Considering I am traveling from Dallas, I opted for the insurance. This evening, I received a rather odd email stating that an additional charge was being placed on my card for an amount that was not originally charged for taxes and fees. I didn't receive a confirmation email immediately and had to manually go and request the receipt to be sent to me. So when I checked the email and this is when I noticed... more than I was supposed to pay was authorized. Yet last night, the correct amount was authorized. So, I was immediately confused about what happened.
I went to Spirit's website to confirm if I had a reservation and see what the price was. On Spirit's site, the original amount I was aware of is what they reflected which included all taxes and fees. Now, I am trying to reach a representative from CheapOAir to resolve this issue, but I am unable to get to someone. 1st call - I was on hold, then all of a sudden a loud screeching sound. 2nd call - The phone rang for me to speak to the next representative, then all of a sudden "the number you are calling is out of service, please check the # and try again" message came on. 3rd call - I just finished with a representative who wasn't able to assist me. Rather he asked if I could call the billing department in the morning.
Luckily ALL of my phone calls are recorded to ensure I am not being hoodwinked by any company. I really do hope that this was an error and that my issues will not be taken likely. I am giving a 2 star for the inconvenience of having to do this, the errors, and the fact that nothing has been resolved yet. I will change my review if anything changes. I am currently giving a 2 star review.

I posted a complaint previously about the high cost of changing my flight this week. They responded and promised a $50 refund because it was a legitimate cost considering the time frame. I had booked online myself and it was my own fault it didn't realized my flight was booked over two days instead of all on one. It was an expensive lesson to learn to check my reservation more carefully. I had only been looking at the times and not the days. If I had noticed within 24 hours of making it, they could have done more for me. Again, a warning for everyone booking online. Check your layover times and days for your reservations. There is no tolerance for mistakes.

I booked a flight for what I thought was Dec. 24 arriving in the afternoon. Yesterday when I finally looked again to verify the times, I found that they had booked me for a layover in Chicago overnight and that I wouldn't arrive until 3:30 on Christmas Day! When I asked to change it all to the same day, he told me it would cost an additional $700. If I flew on the morning of the 25th and arrived in the afternoon, it would only add $400 to my ticket. (I had already spent $500 on this ticket) Finally I asked to book on a different day, and they found me one that only added $350 to my $500. Be very careful of their reservations, lest they book you over two days instead of all on one day. I never even thought to check this since I had searched for departure only on the 24th. I tried canceling the whole thing but they wouldn't do that either since it was made 20 days ago. I even explained that it was due to confusion on their website, but they wouldn't help me. I will never use this website again.

The customer service representative was helpful but we were surcharged $50.00 for the change. Really????? On 11-15-14 I arrived in Miami and went to check and the Courtyard Marriott and they told me they never received and payment from Cheapoair. The only thing they received was the transfer of hotels. I ended up having to pay $202.27 to stay at Courtyard Marriott. Basically I paid $371.91. I called Cheapoair to inform them about the situation and that I wanted a refund because I paid twice. So I paid for a ticket for $940 to fly to the Netherlands. When I arrived at the airport, I was told my booking was for different dates. I called hoping to get help from a CheapOair representative only to talk to several different foreign representatives. They told me they could re-book my flight but I would have to pay the difference between my original and the new one. Because I would have to leave that day, I knew it would be expensive and when I heard the cheapest ticket I could get was $2,300, I had no choice but to accept as my meeting would occur the next day. I asked several times if the cost I would be charged on my credit card would be $1,360 as that would be the difference between the two tickets. Every time I was told yes, so I agreed and he said he would purchase it.
I then find a charge for around $2,650 on my card and immediately call them demanding they forgot to remove the $940 they had said they would. I get an excuse that he can't deal with it, so he sends me to another representative who gives me another billing screw-up excuse. After over 7 calls to different people in billing, customer representation, booking, and resources all ending up nowhere, I demand they connect me to the billing department in the States. I was told they didn't have the number, so I said they will be looking at a lawsuit and within a minute, I was on the phone with the billing department in the United States.
She told me the booking agent actually bought a $3,500 ticket from the States to Amsterdam and that the $940 had already been taken off. This was beyond enraging. However, I could not do anything about it except to say he had told me several times that the charge I would get on my card would be around $1,300. She said they will look into it and I would get a call in a couple of days. It's been over a week and I still haven't gotten a call but it was too much of a hassle to keep trying. NEVER get a ticket from them.

NOTE: I gave this experience 2 stars instead of 1 only because after the incident described here, I called CheapOAir back to register my complaint about their faulty web site, and the customer service rep listened very empathetically to my ordeal, and offered the opp to call him directly for a discount if I choose to try their service again. Very nice. Here's my story:
In November 2014, I was looking for the best price on an airline ticket I had to buy with only 3 days notice in order to attend a funeral. I used Kayak, which showed CheapoAir as an option. Once connected to CheapoAir's list of airline/ticket options, I found the lowest cost airfare on a US Airways flight, and gave all my credit card info to book the flight. After I had input all my info and expected a flight/purchase confirmation, instead I was taken back to the flight listing page and an error message consisting of a small line of text in red at the top of the page said the flight/fare I selected is no longer available and to search again. So I searched the available flights again and the same flight showed up in the search results, so I figured the error message must have been a glitch, so I purchased the ticket again.
After I once again input my credit info, the same error message showed up again, and when I searched the results again, the same low cost flight showed up, so in case the error message was in fact a glitch, I tried purchasing the flight one more time -3x in all. When the error message showed up again, I gave up and ended up buying the same US Air ticket for about $30 more via American Express travel service.
The real nightmare didn't happen until 3 weeks later when I discovered my credit card had 3 pending charges from US AIR for the unconfirmed air ticket I attempted to purchase via CheapoAir, and those pending charges were preventing me from using my credit card for holiday shopping. It took me several hours worth of phone calls between Cheapoair, US Air, and my credit card company to get this matter resolved. I feel CheapoAir robbed me of my time and energy due to their faulty web site operation.

I did not like the change because it added a 10-hour layover in Honolulu, but I accepted it. I got to San Diego airport 90 minutes before my departure time. My flight from San Diego to Honolulu was a China Airlines flight, operated by Hawaiian Airlines. The Hawaiian Airlines computer said that I had a reservation but no ticket number.
A call to Cheapoair gave me my ticket number, but the Hawaiian Airlines computer did not accept that ticket number. Oh and every time they need to do something, they put you on hold a minimum of 10 minutes. 15 minutes to charge my card, 10 mins to look up flights, 10 mins to retrieve your booking credit, 10 more mins because you ask them to search other dates and when they come back they all of a sudden have a cheaper rate. Anyway I am pretty sure they take other calls when they put you on hold and also think they inflate the pricing for rebooking flights. I would like to start by saying that by far the worst customer service and by far the worst customer representative I have ever talked to or come across. I had called on my brother's behalf and wanted to know what is the process to CANCEL the ticket and get a full refund, which was not explained to me correctly. My brother is schedule to travel in January but due to family emergency he has to travel now and this was explained to the Rep and all I said was please explain me the process of cancellation and full refund of the ticket. To which he responded, “You can't cancel the ticket. We can give a credit for future.” To which I said, “Ok but I have insurance on this and this is a family emergency I need to cancel the ticket.”
Rep, “For that you have send 'A lot' of documents to the insurance company and they will send it to Lufthansa.” I asked “What kind of documents?” And all he kept saying was, “A lot like a lot.” I said, “You mean medical reports?” To which he again said “Yeah” and then “A lot of documents.” Never explained what kind of documents. The conversation went on. Every time I asked a question his tone (which he threatened me that this conversation is recorded so please hear that conversation) made me feel guilty as to why I am asking a question. I asked him to repeat something for me. He said, “Why you didn't hear?”
I also said “Rafea, if you don't like your job quit don't take it out on me. Let me tell you one thing. If you are in the service business you don't no matter what you don't talk to anyone like that." Anyway continuing there came a point where he asked for my authorization to charged $50 for cancelling the ticket, which as per our conversation I thought was the only way since no information was provided about the insurance company and how to go about that so I did authorize.
After I asked few more questions to which I was made to realize that why am I even asking questions. As the conversation went ahead I asked "is there any way to get a complete refund of the money" and then after he charged me the 50 bucks he said, “Yes you can call the insurance company and here is the number.” Then I told him that “If you haven't yet charged the 50 bucks please hold that so that I can talk to the insurance company first and see what they can do.” Before I could even complete my sentence, this is what he said: “YOU ARE A CONFUSED PERSON AND YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.”
I am sorry this is how CheapOair train their professionals to be so unprofessional and talk to customers like this. He also said that he doesn't care what I say now and if I want to escalate I should and HUNG up the phone on me. Seriously the worst customer service ever. Cheapoair bombarded my wife with emails & did not respond to a single one of her responses. In the end Cheapoair just simply cancelled flights. They did return the money we paid them. However we are out of pocket US$40 in phone calls and now have to find flights again 7 days later and prices have gone up again. So I booked three tickets for my family in July of this year. Unfortunately, one of my family member's bag including passport was stolen in a shop. They looked everywhere, filed a police report and published it on the newspaper. So we had to cancel the tickets. As I had bought an insurance, I was assured that it would be covered as I was charged $1517 as a cancellation fees and others and $240 for insurance. Now when I applied for claim, they got back to me telling that the police report says that it was lost in a shop and it does not say that it was stolen and so cannot process the claim. I called them and explained what had happened, they are not moving a bit. I don't know what to do. It is a legit loss and I lost a lot of money. What is the point of getting an insurance if they don't insure when passport is lost. Please suggest me what to do. I have never taken an attorney and I don't think I can afford one. Thank you for your response in advance.

I booked a one way flight to Texas. Basically everything went okay for that. The price was okay and the flight was all good. My complaint is that when I was on their website and made this reservation, there was this pop-up box that said "click here" for a $50 rebate on the reservation you made. Of course out of curiosity I clicked on it. Next thing I know I am answering a few questions and then told to call a number to find out how to go about getting the rebate. So when I called the number, I got some guy with very broken English trying to talk me into signing up for this program called "Great Fun" and that they would be charging me $1 to sign up and blah blah blah. But I could cancel this membership and still receive my rebate if I cancelled within 30 days (trial period).
I never received anything from them. They were suppose to send me something in my email and never did. I then called them about this and the guy this time said "ok we will send it to you via regular mail. Please confirm your home address." So I did and he kept getting off the subject of the rebate and kept asking for my credit card info. But I told him I don't want to give that to you unless this is a guarantee that I can still get a rebate. Anyhow I gave it to him and I have been charged the $1. However in the meantime, they called me and left a message on my phone. So I called back and next thing you know I am talking to a lady that I had to keep saying "huh? what did you say?" I also had some questions because all of a sudden this whole sales pitch was getting very confusing and everytime I asked her a question about what she was saying she had a bad attitude. So I told her, "you are being rude and if you want credit card info from me, I have more questions first and either you answer them or I am going to forget this." I kept asking about the rebate and she would just say, "yea yea yea, I already answered and told you yes that you would get the rebate even if you cancelled your account."
Finally she calmed down her rude attitude a bit and said "OK now you have to speak to the supervisor to confirm." All in all he was also rude and I even cursed at him a little. Then we kept getting cut off. So at that point I ended up talking to this guy and he was a little better but I warned him I had questions about the whole ordeal and he answered them basically nicely and he reassured me several times that even if I cancelled I could get my rebate. So about a week or so later I got their package in the mail. I got two of them, same account number. But I wanted to cancel right away because I knew I wasn't going to really want to be in this program. But once they got me on the phone, they manipulated me and they lie to people.
I went onto the website to check it out and I checked out people's reviews and found out this company is BS. It is funny while reading the reviews, I totally related to the complaints and I found out now what is going to happen to my bank account if I don't do something. Another words I am going to have to change my card number because apparently this company has been getting away with stealing people's money and making it hard for people to cancel even if it is in the right amount of time. I don't know how they are still running this business and getting away with it, but they need to be shut down. They are not legitimate because they lie to people and then rob their bank accounts. People that down check their statements with a fine tooth comb are getting robbed every month and in some cases twice a month and have been being charged over and over for things they didn't even get.
The reason I am putting this on Cheapo Air is because Cheapo Air lets them pop up on their website and I just found out that Cheapo is based in India. Hello??? I am sure that is where that Great Fun company is from, at least their employees all sound like they are from there. It sounds to me like they are in Cahoots with each other and I am not giving Great Fun or Cheapo Air another penny, because I feel there is really something happening there that is not right. I will not ever refer this company or the other to anyone and I quite frankly hope that both of these companies fail. What I can't believe is how in the hell they get away with this nonsense. It is fraud, robbery, stealing and completely dishonest. In fact I am filing a case with the BBB and we will see what happens.

Last spring I booked a trip to Italy for my friend and I. The flights cost more than $2,000. A few months later, my mother fell very ill and I had to delay my trip. CheapOAir assured me that for a fee per ticket, I could rebook my flight for the following spring so I paid a cancellation fee and moved my trip. However, once my mother was out of the hospital and I tried to book my flight, they told me that I did not have a credit. After calling over 50 times, chatting, emailing and being transferred to supervisors, they told me that Aeroflot was denying my tickets. SO I contacted Aeroflot (who had not even talked to CheapOAir and showed that my credit was ready for use). My trip came and went (I had to book flights through another company because CheapOAir just constantly ignored my requests).
I tried to contact them once again for another trip I was planning to London and at this point, they told me that I cannot use my credit because it EXPIRED. After refusing to let me use it when it was valid, they denied it for being expired. I emailed this company (spoke with Lucas and have documentation of my efforts) and spoke with several supervisors who ALL assured me that they would get my credit sorted out. Still haven't heard anything from anyone and yet again I have to purchase new tickets through a respectable travel agency instead of using my 2 thousand dollar credit that CheapOAir has just kept for themselves ILLEGALLY. I am currently working with an attorney to get a refund for this amount and am suing CheapOAir for fraud. Do not use this company for any reason. After these lawsuits are complete, they'll be bankrupt anyway.

My 82 year old Mom decided she wanted to go see her son and Grandkids for Christmas 2014. She looked online but was having trouble with her computer so called CheapO directly and spoke to "Kelly". They went over the itinerary several times, and my Mom expressed she did not want to take 4 flights to get from Bellingham Washington to Lewiston Idaho - the total trip time being 8 hr 22 min. (You can drive in that time frame, and have hours to spare.) After expressing this several times to "Kelly" she went ahead and booked the flight for my Mom. A few days later Mom prints out her itinerary and she's booked on the 4 flights 8 1/2 hour return ticket! It's now too late to cancel with the airline, and CheapO is being unhelpful! CheapOair has made my life hell. One of the flights I was booked on, back from Qingdao in China was non-existent. Consequently, as a languages student from the UK, this meant I was left me stranded in a country I was unfamiliar with. Upon informing the staff about this issue, to put a long story short, they basically in a very 'shifty' manner blamed the problem on the Airline and some sort of 'mix-up', they were eager to hang up instead of making everything clear for me and providing a solution.
CheapOair also recently took money out of my account for tickets I bought almost a year ago. Once again, when I asked them for an explanation, in a very shifty and robotic manner, they gave minimal explanation and told me to forward the help team an e-mail with said problem. Predictably of course, they never replied. I am currently trying to deal with the many problems caused by CheapOair, many have left me in dangerous financial situations and have caused me excessive stress.

I paid for the Insurance etc. and sent all the Info to my son, he needed to leave a couple days earlier than what I had booked for. (Their site says you have 4 hours to change your ticket.) I called right back and said I need to change it leaving Hawaii a few days sooner so he would not miss as much school. Not a big deal, they changed it and was only going to be charged an additional $57 which I could live with.
I check my bank this morning, not only did they RECHARGE me for the Ticket of $1,000 plus but there were other fees charged as well. I called to tell them they had double charged my card when they changed my dates. They told me that is the way they do it. I informed them no one said they would be recharging my card again for the second time, and that the charge I approved was for $57. They told me that is the way we do it and it would take 5-7 Business days to credited back to my acct. Will NOT use them again. We had a connecting flight through Canada and at no point did anyone from cheapo airlines tell us that I needed a transit visa. When we were getting on the flight, we were kicked off. Of course we call the agents of cheapo airlines and they were just the worst. Not helpful at all. The agent instantly was rude and did not give us any solutions AT ALL. We sat at the airport and subsequently called 5 others agents - 2 of who hung up and the remaining put us on hold for at least half an hour. The WORST customer service. Additionally, they absolutely refused to give us a refund - we got $0 dollars on a $1800 ticket. This is considering we had a family emergency and they absolutely did not help us at all. I would recommend you book your flight through another agent even if you have to pay a lot more. Good luck.
Updated on 03/16/2015:
So after being on the phone for 5 hours, the company gave us a credit on a reservation we had to cancel. So now my husband and I are currently on the phone trying to use this credit. We have been on hold for 2 hours. Yes 2 hours. Initially the customer service rep "**" who refused to give us her full name or any identification out-rightly refused to acknowledge the credit even existed! When I asked her several times to re-check her facts she admitted that yes there was a credit available. Finally we were through the first hurdle.
Next she gave us the worst rate round-trip to Hongkong. The Air Canada website with taxes and fee rate was $706 each and she gave us a rate of $1300 each! After I then called her out (again) on her rate, she again put us on hold for 45 minutes and comes back with a rate comparable to the Air Canada website. At this point, this customer service rep had lost all credibility considering she kept changing her facts.
Finally, although she offered us a comparable rate to Air Canada, she now wants to charge us a change fee of $300 each - which is fine except she refuses to take it out of the air base fare! I plan to file another complaint now with the Consumer Affairs Department along with my bank to retrieve my money. Again, worst treatment by CheapOair. I plan to tell every person I know never to book with you guys.

It is totally a rip off. You should buy the ticket directly with the airline not with all this bunch of supposedly low fare tickets. They should not be allow to sales tickets. Southwest has great prices and you can change them without any extra fee but are not refundable. Here, they are not refundable plus they charge $200, take it from the credit plus the difference in price. It is very sad. Disgusting. I do not mind about the penalty fee but the amount is not fair when they will send the ticket more expensive because it is holiday weekend (Thanksgiving). That is nonsense.

On Friday, August 29, 2014 I purchased a flight ticket with "Cheapoair" (appropriately named) for the wrong day. I needed a ticket for the current date, 8/29/14 and the purchased ticket was for the following Friday, 9/5/14. I immediately contacted their customer service department and told them what happened. The associate told me that since I called them immediately after making the purchase that my funds of $115.00 would immediately be returned and the reservation would be cancelled. Long story short, three months later, 6-8 phone calls with different customer service reps and extremely rude supervisors, I am still waiting for my promised refund.
During every phone conversation up until Wed. 11/5/14 everyone I spoke to said the funds, $92.00, $25.00 less than what I paid for the ticket, would be deposited back onto the same card that was used to purchase the ticket. No one ever explained to me why my refund would be less than the amount that I paid. On Wednesday, 11/5, they said that they would send out the refund in the form of a check, which I refused to accept. On that day I spoke with ANOTHER supervisor that "claimed" she would call me back. I'm still waiting on that return call. I called again today, 3 different times, maybe 4. The first rep said they would send me a check. The 2nd said they already sent it, the 3rd said something else. I told them that I have not been at the billing address listed on my credit card since August 2014, which none of them ever confirmed prior to "sending out a check".
Now they are saying I have to wait for the check to be returned to them and they will refund my funds to my card, like I originally asked in the first place. Needless to say they do not, cannot, or will not tell me when or how long this process will take. Their website states that it takes 3-5 business days for a refund via credit card. The supervisor who contacted me in September said 10-15 business days. It's false advertisement, poor customer service, and all out BAD BUSINESS. I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND Cheapoair to anyone. EVER! I also asked for the number to their corporate office and they gave me the number 888-793-4229. When I called this number I was directed right back to the billing department. Worst experience with a business ever.

After this went public, I FINALLY received the call I was waiting for. Last night I called the airline itself and the problem was resolved in a matter of 15 seconds. I let Cheapoair know I would be hesitant to do business with them again and again expressed my stress and anxiety caused by being neglected. They offered me a $100 coupon and apologies.
They said they would email it this morning. If they actually do, I'll update my post. It is SO UNFORTUNATE that I had to go public and suffer for over a week with worry before they decided to take care of me after having my money. Word to wise, if you have rescheduling issues with your plane reservation, call the airline. I was so sorry I didn't just do that in the first place as they were so caring and helpful.

I bought airline tickets last month for a trip in Feb 2015 and I was alerted that the flight(s) were cancelled and was offered an alternative schedule which I was asked if I accepted or declined. I declined being a senior citizen and I didn't want to arrive at my destination at Midnight with no one to pick me up. I had the opportunity to buy that flight and originally didn't want it. Well, I declined and was told someone would contact me within 24 to 48 hours and it's been over a week. I have called and talked to people at least 5 times and they keep promising someone else will call and help me with rescheduling. In the meantime I could lose my only day I'm able to travel and my money yet they won't help me. They have my money, this is not my fault and they just simply have demonstrated that don't care. I have used Cheapoair more than a dozen times and have never had issues but this is causing a great deal of stress and all I want is a phone call. I purchased a ticket from Cheapoair to fly overseas to see my 90+ year old mother well in advance of my travel date. I received an e-mail confirmation followed by another confirmation containing a booking number and an e-ticket number. For some reason I could never find my trip listed anywhere except on Cheapoair's website. I checked with the airline ~ no such booking found. I checked on "checkmytrip.com" ~ once again no such booking found. I called Cheapoair several times during the period prior to my departure only to be advised that there were no changes and that my trip was indeed confirmed and no problems were found. Be aware that Cheapoair's customer service (or lack of service) is out of India. If the agent you are speaking to doesn't like what you're saying, they put you on hold forever hoping you will hang up. Against my better judgement I took the chance of going to the airport on the scheduled departure date. At the check in counter I was advised that the booking number was bogus, did not exist. The airline's booking numbers are totally different to the one I was given. The e-ticket number also did not exist. The agent even called to see if it could be fixed as it was obvious that my ticket had been paid for but nothing could be done to fix it.
As my trip was going to be out of the country I decided that the best thing to do was to go back home and contact Cheapoair to try and get my money back. This proved to be an exercise in futility. Seven agents later, with ultra long hold times in the hopes that I would hang up, I finally handed the phone to my husband. My husband managed to get through to a supervisor but this took about 45 minutes. Remember at this stage both of us had already spent well over 2 hours trying to get something accomplished. We'd been put on hold, agent checking in with clicks from time to time on the phone to see if we'd hung up yet. In the meantime I called my bank's fraud department and had them lodge an investigation into the charge. My husband at this point was still on the line with the supervisor and was eventually told that they would provide a refund but that it could take 2-3 billing cycles to appear. 2-3 billing cycles would be the equivalent of 90+ days, or maybe never. This is totally unacceptable and the equivalent of stealing in my book. My brother had a similar experience with Cheapoair earlier this year but was fortunate enough to be in a city where a physical travel agent could fix the problem prior to his departure.
Cheapoair is owned and operated by Hahn Air out of Belgium. They apparently have many online booking sites including Cheaptravel, cheaptickets etc. Too many to mention. Oh I forgot to mention that when you get your e-mail with your so called e-ticket it has a link to reserve your seat. I clicked on this link (silly me) and was then told that I couldn't reserve a seat for this flight but my credit card was charged. I have yet to see the refund that's supposed to be credited to my account and this has been ongoing for well in excess of 60 days. I recommend anyone considering booking with Cheapoair, Hahn Air, or any of its subsidiary companies to read about my experience and think about whether it's worth your time, effort and possible theft of your hard earned money. My bank has an ongoing fraud investigation against this company. No one should have to go through this type of experience.

My wife has been trying for OVER A MONTH now with repeated phone calls to rearrange the booking times after one of the carriers cancelled a flight. We now have only 2 weeks left before the flight and we have got absolutely nowhere.
Every person she talks to says she needs to talk to someone else who then repeats the process or they will tell you they will call you back within 48 hours; this NEVER happens! And every time, the same questions are asked, "I want to get a connecting flight on the same day and I don't care which day - how can we do this?" "If we can do this, how much extra would I have to pay?" "How come you don't even know how much penalty would apply if I gave up and cancelled the entire booking." "How is it a flight cancellation of a carrier involves me having to call 10 times so far to get absolutely no answers whatsoever."
Each phone calls takes at least 30-40 minutes and often over an hour to try and get past the initial "help-desk" staff and to someone who is supposed to be able to help, only to be told either they will get back to us (never happens) or we need to call back and ask for "x" department. These toll calls will soon add up to more than any savings we obtained by using this outfit! A basic problem like this should NOT be in the "too-hard" basket. If we booked through this company and the carrier chosen cancels their flight, how come it is OUR responsibility to try and convince them to change the bookings to suit a connected flight? We will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

They would put you on hold for half an hour to an hour each time then come to talk to you for a few seconds and put you on hold again and again and again and the funny thing is after hours of waiting, they would finally hang up on you. You call back and it would happen all over again for ten, twenty times. And the funny thing is you will never get any result at the end. They always have excuse about this and that. This happened to me when I asked for a name change. Basically, those fools put my mother's name in reverse. I noticed the problem and called to request for the change and boy oh boy, you would think it's any easy task because it's already booked and paid for, but no, no, no. Booked a ticket with CheapOair.com on Saturday from Perth Australia to Sydney. Guess what? Got a call from their Credit Card Verification department, saying they need a verbal verification from me, and ask me to call them back from a landline number which according to their system is my number from my bank database. Hell, I didn't know I had a landline number since I moved into this place a year ago!! And they refused to issue me the ticket, because I can't verify my identity.
Ladies and Gentlemen you see the irony? They called me on my mobile, and asked me if I can call them back from a landline that never existed!!! I mean, how in God's name (forgive me I meant no offense) did you get my bloody mobile number in the first place!!! Then I called my bank to confirm my number, as I remembered, no land line number ever recorded on my account!!!
Their call center is in the US, tried the toll free number once, and can't hear a word. So I had to spend 20 minutes at least on each call, INTERNATIONAL CALLS if I may add, to get them to issue the ticket. Lucky me, I got my bloody ticket today. Hopefully all should be going fine from this point onwards. This is THE MOST STUPID web booking I had ever done, and I personally will NEVER use their service again, and I suggest anyone who wants less trouble in their lives should also stay away from them as well.

I called them to fix the dates, then they billed me 28$. I did not receive an email until the following day about my purchase and then the bill jumped to 745. I called them and they confirmed I will be refunded verbally and never sent me an email. I called my bank immediately to dispute the extra charge because I knew this would happen because they are based in ANOTHER COUNTRY, INDIA.
Now a month later I am fighting to get my money refunded. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! Why would I agree to pay more for a booking agent than I did for the flight??? SCAMMERS WILL SCAM. I have uses cheapoair twice in the past 3-4 months and experienced no previous problems. However within the last 4 days I used their service to book a flight from Perth Western Australia to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The booking was made and the fare cost has been deducted from my credit card. However there was no email confirmation that my booking was made. I have received no correspondence from cheapoair concerning my confirmed booking. I have checked their website to confirm my booking, nothing is listed. I have emailed their customer service online site on several occasions and have not received a response.
I can see from the number and nature of complaints on this site that I have little or no chance of ever receiving either a confirmed flight or of receiving a refund of the $600++ Aus dollars I have paid for a service I will never receive. My Christmas will not be a happy one thanks to cheapoair.

Hell no, oh but he still charged me anyway. The only reason I noticed they had charged me even though I had said no was because I went into my spam mail and noticed the flight was booked. I called Cheapoair a couple nights ago to reserve an international flight. The guy was polite and helped me for over an hour to finally book the flight. He emailed me an itinerary with the flight info, but not the flight confirmation. So I called back and some Indian guy told me I would get it in an hour or 2. At that time it was like 11pm. So I was up working till 1:45 a.m. which was past the 2 hour point, but yet no confirmation email. So I called again and now the different Indian guy is telling me the flight was not booked properly and that the rates have gone up $315. So I told him "That's not my problem. You guys screwed up, not me so fix it now." He kept me on the phone for like 30 min and I got really pissed and asked for the manager. Again they kept me on hold for like 20 min before the manager got on the phone.
I told her the situation and they said they would take care of it and that I wouldn't have to pay extra and told me I would get the confirmation email in 2 hours (Again). At that time it was like past 3am. So I went to bed and woke up at 6am to check my email and again nothing. So I called and they put me on hold for like 20 min (Again). After 30 min they finally sent me the confirmation. I was so exhausted. So I was driving to work at 7:30am and I get a call from guess who, yes Cheapoair. Now they are saying my credit card was denied, so I gave them a new card number and again on hold for 20-30 min. After I gave them all the new card information they tell me "You should get the confirmation in 2 hours (Again)."
So I'm at work and almost 3 hours go by and still no confirmation email. I got on chat with them asking what's going on and the girl tells me to wait 2 hours. I was so freaking pissed I was going crazy. At that time it was like almost noon. So I told them, "You better send me the confirmation email no later than 2pm or I will contact an attorney." 2pm arrives and again no confirmation email. Now I'm burning up and I get on chat once again to see what's going on. I'm on hold for like 10-15 min (Again) and finally they sent me a confirmation. I called Emirate to confirm the flight and yes it was there.
It was like pulling teeth dealing with this company. I was stupid not looking at the reviews beforehand. I sure will not use Cheapoair ever again, but I'm thankful everything turned out ok at the end.

Minutes later a woman called and said she was from CHEAPOAIR, noticed I didn't book. I said yes, the price doubled. She said she could probably get me about that price. I held on and yes, she could, all she needed was my credit card number. I told her I wasn't comfortable giving that over the phone. She said oh, I have all your info, she rattled off my info. I said I understand that but you called me and if I can book online I will do it but I'm not giving you my card over the phone. She continued to rattled info. I hung up.
The next morning I get an email from CHEAPOAIR saying they were sorry I didn't book but they had some great deals online. I checked, the exact same deals from the day before. I thought, maybe they got some more seats, went thru the whole thing again pressed BOOK and same darn thing, double the price. I called and asked for the manager. He said the prices change all the time. I told him online the price was the same for two days. He then accused me of putting the wrong date in. I call this bait and switch and it's very wrong.

I agreed to her price that was competitive with other companies for the same flights. I paid and the e-ticket came back in around an hour. I have no complaints. Everything was professional. I was sold a 169.96 euro flight with Ryanair for 229.89 GBP! When I queried this later I was given excuses that Cheapoair was subject to the airlines and airports rates and taxes. I informed the person that minutes after receiving their (Cheapoair) confirmation, I downloaded Ryanair's flight itinerary confirming the price at 169.96 euros! I eventually got a 50 GBP refund but this still made a 169.96 euro flight cost 179.89 GBP. In essence I am fuming that personnel at the Cheapoair desk set a fictional price for flights! I'm a nurse and had planned to go on a hospital ship to aid with surgeries in Benin (West Africa). As events developed, the organization cancelled the ship due to Ebola continuing to spread right next door to Benin. The flight was with Brussels Airlines and my organization had been in discussion with them, but I had to do my transactions through Cheapoair. Cheapoair would only give me a credit for a year (to go back to West Africa on my own??) and they told me that Brussels Airlines would not provide the refund. They basically told me that they did not give anyone ebola and it was my fault for not getting insurance. Did they really expect me, as a nurse, to go on a surgery hospital ship, contract Ebola, and bring it back with me to the US? I contacted Brussels Airlines, they gave me a full refund given the situation.

This company is a scam. I will never use them again and will tell everyone I know they are a scam. Their system is set up for mistakes and their rules charge obscene amounts for mistakes. The Cheapoair system created a spelling mistake in my first name. Calling the company they stated after 24 hrs (it was 25 hrs at the time of the call) a fee of $200 is charged due to airline fee passed to them. They kept me on the line reducing the fee to $100 if I did it right there and then. This was outrageous!
After further negotiation they said they could cancel the ticket and rebook for $50 only if I did it at that moment. I refused and called Lufthansa to get the real story. Lufthansa said no such fee exists. They suggested I conference them in 3-way with Cheapoair. After calling Cheapoair back and saying I would like to do this they made the change for free.
The story doesn't end there. My credit card was charged the full ticket cost, reversed, charged again.. extra $11.95 fee charged removed several times along with a $57 fee. I had to call them again to get the $57 reversed with no explanation for this fee. The $11.95 fee was for assisted seating which the representative said was a user error online (saying I did this). We did not select this for sure. The rep put a reversal in for this fee and said it will need to be approved since there is a time period of 10 days to request removal.
Additionally, the reps I spoke with were not willing to listen to what I had to say until I got rude and said, "Stop talking and listen to the story before you say it's user error." Overall time on the phone was about 4 hrs. I will happily participate in any class action suit against them. Their practices are downright appalling and furthermore un-American. I will continue to spread the word as nobody should have to go through this process ever.

This company shows misleading info and may charge much more. You should watch carefully (esp. flight dates) when you book flight tickets with this company. I bought three tickets from MSP to BOS from this site today. When I entered the dates of the flights I wanted (leaving on Nov. 24 and coming back on Nov. 29), the returned first item was very cheap but actually was of alternative flights on different dates that didn't specify (I didn't chose flexible dates) while the remaining were the flights of the dates I specified. There was a small sentence for the first one saying it was for alternative flights. I didn't pay attention to that sentence and didn't check the dates (I just checked the flight times) since the site said that there were only 4 tickets left and I felt that I should book the tickets as soon as possible before they were gone. Thus I bought 3 tickets of the dates I didn't ask for. The bought flight dates were on the same day (wired): leaving MSP in the morning on Nov. 26 and coming back in the evening on Nov. 26 too.
The practice to list a different date's flights as the first searched item is unique that I have not seen in any other sites. It is misleading. When combined with the prominent number showing there is only one more ticket than the number of tickets your searched available (it seems that was also CheapOAir's practice since it showed there was only 2 tickets left when I first searched with the default one person. Then I realized that I could buy only one ticket and changed to 3 persons and searched again. It then showed that there were only 4 tickets left).
A few hours later, I found the date problem and called CheapOAir. The agent told me that I could cancel it but needed to pay a charge of $50 per person (that charge is not called cancellation fee -- CheapOAir claims that there is no cancellation fee -- but serves the same purpose). The weird thing he told me was that: I couldn't get any refund if I hang up the phone and call again to cancel it. According to the agent, I had only one-shot deal: either cancel it to pay a total of $150 or book flights with him -- there was no charge if I change to flights of the dates I wanted with him. The cheapest price he found was way higher than what CheapOAir websites showed when I searched the site after he told me the price (for both the same flights or better-time flights on the same leaving and coming-back dates). He told me that the tickets I found with their websites were all gone because there were several hours delay on their Website (which is unbelievable -- how can such a long delayed website do any business nowadays). Then he gave me a small discount, but the total price was still higher than their website's.
Then I went to the airline's web page, which was much cheaper than their website's price (for the same flights) if I would buy there, which was of course much cheaper than the price he quoted me over the phone. He then gave me another small discount. The final price was about $40 more per person than what I could get from the airline's website.
After hanging up the phone, I received a confirmation email, which shows the total price was $69 higher than what the agent said over the phone (the agent told me the total price including everything). I called again, and another agent said that he had to listen to recording of my previous call first. I am still waiting for his listening result.

My friend, **, booked a flight for me from Santa Barbara, CA, to Minneapolis, MN. It was booked from Nov 8-18. When I received my email confirmation, they had changed the return flight so that I had a 23 hour layover in Denver! It said because the reservation had been changed, I had 4 hours to call and change it. I did NOT book this flight with the 23 hour layover! I called Cheapoair and was told they could change my flight for an additional $84, so I chose to cancel my flight completely and rebook through another service. "Jonathan" cancelled my reservation and I was then told it would take 7-14 days for my friends card to be credited! To make matters worse, the confirmation email I received yesterday, said the refund was made for only $24! The cost of the flight was $274!
I will update this post when I get my refund to let you know how much it was actually for. I will NEVER use Cheapoair again and plan to post my experience on their FB page to warn others and if I don't receive my full refund, will ask an attorney for help. I wish I'd read these reviews before making my reservation!

I recently booked a ticket with my to-be two year old son with the lap seat option. I had to call to add those information. The agent told me because my son will turn 2 in the middle of the trip, he needs to pay a child price. And the child price with 25% discount ($1,088) is more expensive than my 100% as an adult ($1,059). IS THIS A DISCOUNT??? ? The Agent said because the price is quoted 23 hours apart and blablabla. But I immediately checked the online availability again and again today, it still shows $1,059 each even if I book two tickets. This dishonest and tricky practice to take advantage of special situation like this is immoral. I used to like this website a lot but now it's not on my list any more. I rather to pay more using other website. Cheap but tricky is not the way to go!

Immediately rang the premium rate telephone line to cancel and luckily this was answered within 2 minutes. Had to tell the operator several times to stop the sales chat (bunking up the cost of the call) had a confirmation email 30 minutes later but have today received an email saying the refund will be £42.31. Have replied and threatened legal action if refund is not for total amount - watch this space. Will make sure I tell everyone I know not to touch this company.

I immediately called customer service and was told it was too late to cancel or change the tickets. I didn't care because it was their fault the tickets were wrong. That didn't matter, they took no responsibility because I authorized the purchase. The very polite booking agent said she would help me. After 1 1/2 hours on the phone I was told I could get the right tickets for around $1500 more over the $2900 I already paid. I need time to think it over, but was told I had to decide then whether to take the tickets or lose the $2900.
A few hours later after I thought about I called back to cancel and was told I was too late and couldn't do that. I called Visa to stop any payment to these crooks. They later called me back and offered me $1700 as a refund against the $4400.00 I charged. If I didn't take it, I would get nothing, and they would not cancel the reservation. I booked 10 flights from Glasgow to Orlando, paid for the tickets and thought all was finalised. When I checked with the Operator some days later they had no record of my booking. When I contacted Cheapoair they told me that the Operator had removed the flights and that they were no longer available at the price I paid and that I would have to pay an additional 600 per ticket. I protested and in the space of a 30 minute conversation the price came down to an extra 200 per ticket. I became very suspicious and asked for a full refund and was told I could have one but it would take 30 days to clear. Cheapoair knew full well I was traveling in less than a week and probably assumed I could not afford to pay twice for ten tickets. However, I insisted on a refund and actually was paid in 4 days. I since found out from the operator that Cheapoair had themselves moved the flights to a sister company giving the appearance that they were no longer available when in actual fact they were. I think this is a deliberate tactic to put customers under pressure and push the price of the flights up. I strongly recommend that you do not do business with this company.

We found Amazing Rates to the Bahamas from the SW part of the US; $324 RT so we grabbed them. It has been a very interesting time to say the least. The first wrinkle was the flights changed from 10:30 pm to 12:45 am which was fine but whoever had made the change failed to look at the days correctly and gave us a 17-hour layover in Miami.
First of MANY calls to CheapOair only to find out very few of them speak fluent English. The first guy said, "Oh no, that is a typo." So, I hang up and started examining the dates and times and realize no it isn't - it was spread over a 24-hour period. Another call, finally, someone who recognized the problem and fixed it. Paid to have assigned seats.
Some weeks later, I was prompted to check on things only to find out our flight #s now had us going from Chicago to SF. What? Called USAir; yes there have been changes to your flight but you need to call CheapOair to get the particulars. Called them and waited on hold forever. The lady said, "The changes that had been made by airline won't work because you will miss your connecting flight." On hold for 30 min. and finally hung up and called back. Next time, it was, "We will call you back with the next available rep". So, decided to e-mail them. Never heard back.
A few days later, I received an e-mail with the new flight information. So after looking over the information, it looked fine and decided to choose the seats. When I received confirmation of the seat choice, our last leg coming home had the four of us sitting all over the plane which is a problem as we have a minor child traveling with us.
Yet another call to customer service and getting people I can barely understand. Oh, we can fix this for a fee. I told those I spoke with we had already been assigned seats. A supervisor was to call me back and never did. I e-mailed them and never heard back. Finally I called back one more time, sat on hold forever. When a rep got on the line, I just wanted to speak to his supervisor. The man spoke decent English but when I told him who in their right mind would seat four people traveling together all over a plane, esp, with a minor child, his response was, "It is the best option available on this flight. I suggest when you check in, ask the ticket agent if you can be seated together." So okay, we will just wait to sort this out.
A few days later, I thought I should just call USAir to see if they can resolve this seating issue. Lo and behold, we are not flying on USAirway but American. Different flight #s and different confirmation code might be good information to have but no e-mail as of yet from CheapO letting us know of this change. A very nice lady at USAir transferred me to American and yet another wonderful lady from their "Customer Service" who happens to be in the US and speak clear English walked me thru their website so I could print off the new information and our new assigned seats which happen to be together.
I really doubt I would use CheapO Air ever again because of their choice to outsource their customer service. We have people in this country who need jobs and they happen to speak the language. If companies are going to outsource, they really need to have a way for customers to be transferred back to the person's home country to resolve problems.

Who knows what the taxes and fees section of the invoice is, but they are outrageously high. Every ticket was over what I told the agent I could afford. One of the invoices had an, "post fare" fee - what is that? That's a, "we have your credit card, so we can screw you now" fee? I fought all of those fees and they refunded them and I cancelled my flights and was outraged at their tactics, so outraged that I would not accept anything less than a full refund so the total was $0 to CheapOair. They can get good prices and ALL the agents are working those fees up to get a bigger commission - push them down - barter - offer them less. You can frequently get it.

DON’T EVER BOOK WITH CHEAPOAIR.COM! IT’S A SCAM!! On August 8th, I was trying to book a round-trip flight ticket from Shanghai, China to Reykjavik, Iceland for an engineer in our company on CheapOair.com. Every time after I filled in my payment information and was trying to submit my order, the price went up from $2,000 to $3,000, sometimes $2,500 (in which cases I accepted the offer and tried to proceed, but again, the system declined and the price went up again to $3,000).
So this goes on and on until 10 minutes later, a sales representative whose name is Albion **, called me on the phone saying that he could help me book the flight, but the cheapest rate he could provide is $2,500, which is $500 more than the price listed on their website. BUT I was in a hurry, because our engineer had to leave in two days, so I let him went on booking. A few minutes later he charged my card and emailed me the flight confirmation. I relieved and thought everything is set in stone! HOWEVER!! I didn't even expect something much more HORRIBLE is waiting for me!!
The returning flight from Reykjavik, Iceland back to Shanghai China is INVALID for anyone who doesn't have a Russian Visa!!! The returning flight contains two stops, one is Petersburg and the other is Moscow, both are cities of Russia, so a Russian Visa is required in order to transfer from Petersburg to Moscow! Who applies a Visa just for a flight stopover country!!?? Why didn't the CheapOair representative remind me that before he went on booking!?? Because of the absence of the Russia Visa, our engineer was refused to check in at airport when he was trying to take the flight to Iceland!!
The staff at Shanghai airport told him unless he changes his returning flight (a flight that doesn't require a stopover country’s Visa), they won’t let him get on the plane. So I called CheapOair immediately to change the returning flight, but they said I should call the airline company and they don’t know anything about Visa. I said I don’t need you to know anything about Visa, just change the returning flight so our engineer doesn't have to stop at Russian twice!!
They finally agreed to change the flight for me, but kept me on hold for 1 hour and 30 minutes! (During the hold they ask me couple questions after every 20 minutes waiting!!) I called them from China, the international call cost me $150!! I really want to give up during the wait, but we had everything scheduled with our Iceland customer, and our engineer’s Visa is only valid for 6 days. From August 10th to August 16th, he has to get on the plane!! Finally they managed to get me another flight which leaves on August 11th, which is one day later than scheduled and they charged me $819 for changing the flight as penalty!!
That’s ridiculous!!! That’s their fault, why I have to be punished for another $819, plus $150 international phone bill! Because of the stupid mistake of CheapOair, I have to spend another hour explain to my customer about the delaying and rescheduling the hotel stay! My boss blames me on ruining the whole schedule and won’t reimburse me and almost fired me!! I hate CheapOair and I will post this everywhere and tell everyone I know to avoid CheapOair!!
They allure you with cheap flight rate. When you trying to pay for your order, the price goes up dramatically, and they will have their sales person to call you and book problematic flight for you which you will not find out until last minute when you trying to get on the plane. Finally you have no choice but to call them to change the flight and pay your penalty! That's their whole scam! Be careful!!

We had plane tickets to travel to Israel July 31, 2014 with our family of 6 on Aeroflot airlines. For the past two weeks prior to our departure, we tried to reschedule or cancel our trip due to war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. When I spoke to an Aeroflot agent at the airport, I was told that we had authorization to cancel our trip without penalty. However, the airline agent told me that we needed to go though our booking agent to get the refund. Cheapoair denied our request, saying that Aeroflot denied our request. Not true.
Initially we tried to reschedule our trip for a later date. Cheapoair required a $325/person change fee. That's almost $2,000 for our family of six. It didn't matter that there was a war or that we were to travel in harms way with our children and grandchildren. Had we booked our flight with Aeroflot directly the cost would have been $100/person. We cancelled our trip July 31st, on our departure date. That's when Cheapoair lowered the rescheduling fee to $100/person. This is a sign of a company that will try to take advantage of its customers, not to help them. To purchase trip insurance from Cheapoair was $400/person. Whereas trip insurance from most insurance companies is $100/person.
Cheapoair agents were always polite when we were able to reach them. We were kept on hold for an hour or more numerous times. Never speaking to the same person. When we were told someone will call back, they never did. We stayed home waiting for calls that never came. We were desperate to resolve our predicament. When we would call back the following day, an agent would tell us that someone did return our call but no one answered. Again not true, we were home. That tactic occurred numerous times.
We finally cancelled our flight reservations on July 31st and initiated a dispute against Cheapoair though our credit card company. As a result we recovered approximately $8,000 we paid Cheapoair. If your travel plans go smoothly, then you are lucky doing business with Cheapoair. However, if you require service don't expect to get any. Their business practices may be on the edge of being legal, but don't expect to get quality service. I recommend doing business directly with the airline.

I am writing this review as I wait for some sort of response from Cheapoair about a flight I booked with them. Had I read this website first, I never would have gone near them!!!... Basically, I booked a flight from Thailand to China return in the middle of this month. They were slightly cheaper than booking directly with the airline. I chose the flight for the good times and short stopovers. All was well until last week.
I received an e-mail saying my layover time in Chengdu on the return leg had been extend from 2 hours to 10 hours and I wouldn't be arriving in Bangkok until after 2 in the morning. They gave me the option of accepting or declining (I declined as I had another flight to catch). They said they had received my response and would get in touch with me probably within 24 hours but definitely within 48 hours to help sort something out - that was 48 hours ago.
I have tried ringing their "schedule change" desk but am put on hold constantly and as I am calling from New Zealand, it gets expensive. I have also e-mailed and tried connecting with live chat but am always cut off even though they always say I am second in the queue. When I try to check my booking, it says there has been a major schedule change and to ring them, which of course I have done numerous times...
I am unable to see what flights I am now booked on and am having trouble getting in touch with the airline as well... I cannot believe a company is allowed to operate which has such terrible customer service!! I travel a lot and will definitely NEVER use them again and will be telling everybody I know to never use them as well. I will in the meantime keep trying but advise other people to pay the little extra and book with a more reputable company or with the airline directly.

Before I write this report, I've been searching through internet about this Company (Cheapoair). There are hundreds complaints about schedule change from Cheapoair. It is the time to stop them. Here are the stories.
I bought three tickets on May 5th, 2013 from Cheapoair. The flight was supposed to be scheduled as depart on 01/27/2014 and back on 02/19/2014. But instead, my return flight has been change to 02/24/2014. The airlines had made couple times schedule change for my booking, and Cheapoair always send me the email with the link that you can accept the schedule change. I always click the link and accept the schedule change. ALWAYS.
On 01/20/2014, they send me an email about schedule change from airlines, but this time doesn't include the link that you can click to accept the schedule change. Instead, the email contain information about schedule change and ask me to call to confirm the schedule change. Also if I can't reach them by phone, the email said I can simply just reply the email with a "I accept the schedule change" in subject line. Well, at the first time I already have hesitation about this situation, so I decide to call first. The number that I dial was a number for Department of schedule change from Cheapoair, which they don't even pick it up for hours.
Then I have no choice, but to reply the email with "I accept the schedule change" on the subject line. On January 26, 2014 (One day before my flight), an email from Cheapoair sent to me and said that they are unable to retrieve my booking, and ask me to call the schedule change department again. Note that 01/26/2014 is Sunday as I remember, the day that the schedule change department is close. I was terrified, shocked. I try to call again and speak with sales department; they finally transfer me to a person who can handle my booking. And he said that my booking is good to go. So then finally I had my flight on 01/27/2014.
Here goes the problem when I supposed to have my return flight on 02/19/2014. We were at the airport and try to check in, but the staff of Saudi Arabian Airlines told us that our flight has been moved to 02/24/2014. We were Shocked! There is no way that we will accept that. First, it's 5 days different. 5 days means 5 days accommodation, food, and transportation. 5 days means 5 days wages lost. Secondly, I brought a Senior citizen (Passenger's name **) who needs a medical assistance.
I tried to call Cheapoair internationally, but the hold is way too long and it's cost a lot for every second that I've been hold on line. So I decided to call my sister-in-law who live at California to help me to call. She finally transferred to a manager after hours waiting on hold. The Manager offers us a flight on 02/20/2014, and even willing to take care our accommodation and transport. So we accept that! But the terrifying is not end there. On 02/20/2014 morning 6:00 am, an email from Cheapoair came, and it said that they are unable to give us the flight. Again, I have to bother my Sister-in-law to make another call. This time, the manager didn't offer anything but ask us to pay another $3000 so she can give us a flight that day.
It's ridiculous! So we tell her that we're going to buy our own tickets from other travel agents, and will take legal actions later. But the manager said that she will try to work with our refund. We've been fought for our rights almost half of year now. Made a hundred calls to Cheapoair. They always confuse us with the refund. Sometimes they said that we have to call customer representatives to close the "open" tickets so they can refund the tickets. Sometimes they said that my booking number is not on the system. Sometimes they said that don't have any manager or supervisor available.
It's been an exhausting and stressful effort that we gave to this case. Cheapoair said that they already work with the airlines, and they send me a $141 refund as they said that they only can refund the tax that I paid on tickets. I mean, really? $141 - it's not even worth for every call that I made to Cheapoair. I think everyone who wrote the complaints about Cheapoair in internet needs to unite in a group and stop them (CHEAPOAIR) as one. We need to fight for our Consumer rights. For everyone who wants to join me, I am ready! Just send me an email and we can go from that. I will probably create a Facebook page like CHEAPOAIR HATERS or something and we can act as one to sue this company. Thank you very much.

On Monday, July 28, 2014, I purchased one adult round-trip ticket. Today, Tuesday, July 29, I called CheapOair.com to change one leg of my fare because it would not have worked for me to get transportation. I was told it would cost me an $85.00 fee, which I agreed to. Anyway, I just realized that my ticket not only ended up with $85.00 fee, but my base round-trip ticket which was originally $332.20 (including tax) is now $452.20, in addition to $50.00 in "Post Booking Charges." I was not expecting and was not told about an additional $170.00 in costs/fees. I even paid for the Travel Protection Fee, which is useless unless there is an illness, which is the only way you can possibly cancel the ticket. To go from $352.96 to $522.96 without being told is not acceptable! Buyer Beware if you plan to use this website. I am also on hold with the airline I am flying on because their website shows a double charge for one fare... What a mess! Go directly through the airline you want to fly or a travel agent if you need more research done.

Don't expect a refund. If you die someone might get your money back. Anything short of that, don't count on it. Not only do they charge you almost all of the price of the ticket to refund you the money they charge you an extra $50 on top of that so it comes out to you having to pay money in order to cancel your flight. Complete rip off. I will be writing negative reviews on every review site I can find.

I tried to book a flight to Mexico online. When I was waiting for the confirmation, the computer froze. I call the customer service and they told me that the flight was never reserved and that I was not going to get charged. When I told them the price, the guy told me that the price was no valid anymore and he told me it was 200 dollars more $1000 so I told the guy I was going to book somewhere else. Now I got my statement and there's a charge for cheapoair. I call them and the guy told me there was no refund. After I explain to him what happen, I ask to speak to his supervisor and he told me that I could get credit for the next time I travel. I demand it my money back and he told me he was going to file with the airlines and it was going to take a few week, more like never. Beware, do not use them. They are a scam. Try to use some other sites that are we'll know and read the reviews.

On July 27th 2014, I called Cheapoair and purchased two tickets for my daughter and wife departure August 4th and return August 10th. Agent confirmed the dates and we completed the transaction, expecting the itinerary coming to me via email, a day past and I did not receive the itinerary and I contacted them, the agent claimed the error on some kind of electronic issue, I provided them alternative email address.
Along the conversation to confirm my itinerary, the agent stated August 3rd as departure date, I asked them to refer back to my recorded conversation with initial agent to confirm that I requested August 4th as departure date. To make the long story short, the company has suggested $400 penalty to change the itinerary as we refused, they offer flights with few stops that would take three times longer time to get the destination. They have a terrible customer service.

I booked a flight from Hawaii to Australia last week. I received a confirmation number. I did not check my email but the company sent me an email on the 23 of July stating that the flight that I booked through them did not meet the time required to change on my connection. And please call. I did not respond since I had not seen the email. On the 28 they sent me another email to say my reservation had been cancelled. When I called it was explained why they cancelled. Kasen worked hard to find me another flight, but the other flight would not work. The tickets were never charged on my credit card. He was very understanding and worked hard to find another flight.

Cheapoair might be OK if you absolutely change nothing after making a reservation. We booked an international flight consisting of 3 legs. On the outbound flight one of the legs was deleted after booking by a computer glitch according to Cheapoair. After several hours on the phone they booked us on a different airline requiring a 1 day layover and the expense of a hotel. We had to change one leg of the return flight by a day. The airline would have made the change for $100 per ticked but since we booked with Cheopoair the cost was $600 per ticket. We booked a hotel with Cheopoair and with the change in flight we had to cancel one night. No refund. All changes were made more than 3 weeks before our flight. So they were not Cheap.

I purchased 3 tickets in good faith. After a death in my husband's family, we had to cancel the trip. CheapOair gave us the runaround. I have traveled for years and used Priceline and other agents and the experience was great. The cost of rescheduling or canceling kept changing. Requests to speak to a supervisor were the worst. They take your information and say you will be called back and to this day, after a total of 4 attempts, no one has ever called. Worst experience ever. I will never use this service and I don't suggest anyone uses them either. I ended up paying an additional $595 on top of the $852 per ticket to extend the tickets. The other option was to get $50 back!!!!!! Caribbean Airlines and CheapOair are both rip-offs.

Our flight was interrupted by illness 3/1/14, my children had ear infections, I postponed through Cheap-o-air as directed. They were suppose to CHANGE my 4 original United tickets for a fee of $800 that would be refunded within a week. My credit card was charged 3/1/14 for the full $800 they "required" to CHANGE my tickets. In reality Cheap-o-air only CHANGED 1 ticket and RE-ISSUED the other 3. United only recognized the one ticket change and has credited that $200. All of this information has unfolded in countless hours of being placed on hold and now 5 months later by Cheap-o-air personal. It is now 7-28-14 I haven't received my $600 due from Cheap-o-air. They have kept my money and I believe them to be a big scam company. NEVER NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

I booked an international flight with them. I chose to pay a bit extra to get a direct flight since the flight was around 20 hours long. But then they suddenly told me that the schedule was changed, and I had to take a 6 hour transit! What's more is that they told me that 5 DAYS BEFORE the departure date! It was a business trip so I e-mailed them on the day and also called them after waiting on the line for more than 10 hours in total! They never came back to me! What the ** is wrong with them!? I repeat, DO NOT USE CHEAPOAIR - THEY ARE A SCAM!!

I bought airline insurance for a ticket for $20. I cancelled my ticket and was charged $50 extra?!? I should have read the fine print, but GOOD companies don't do this. It only took me 2.5 hours on the phone to make a cancellation. I wish I could give a null star out of 5 rating. As Eric Cartman says, "Screw you guys. I am going home!" I will make sure to give negative reviews to all of the people I know who ask for travel advice! And kudos to you for exporting your answering service to India. I'm glad you are supporting our broke economy!

After booking a flight in May, within 24 hours, I discovered a flight that was $400 cheaper. As Cheapoair advertises "Best Price Guarantee," I emailed them thinking it would be an easy reconciliation as I followed all the rules. It has been almost three months and I have not heard a peep. No follow up email or anything. Not only that but when I called the next day (after booking my original flight) to see if I could resolve over the phone, not only was the agent rude but he verbally told me, "There is nothing I can do," and would not let me speak to a manager. False advertising and the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I will tell everyone I know never to use Cheapoair! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM, DO NOT USE!

I have booked with this company before for flights to India. Any changes you make with them will cost you an arm and a leg as the saying goes. I booked travelers insurance this time, as they advise in case you have to cancel. Well I had to cancel due to medical reasons. However, their insurance didn't cover it as my medical problem was pre-existing. So beware of this for anyone else of this.. not sure what else you have to read with a fine tooth comb! Anyhow they assured me they would give me credit of the ticket as long as traveled the same route within the year and a $300 fine..
So here I am trying to book my travel with the same route. So no one tells me it has to be the exact same airlines for all the legs and was given a way higher quote than was posted online for the same airlines. So I told them I would think about it. When I called back, another gentleman told me the dates of my travel won't work as my return is after the year of booking, even though my departure is way within the year of booking! Then he said he got that waived by the airlines but now I will have to $600 more because it's peak season in September.
I told him I was looking at their own website and was getting a way lower quote for September with the same airlines that was United... He started to give me more excuses and this point I was infuriated with the ripoff scam apparently taking place, so he says I would have to speak with his supervisor... and left. I have been on hold now for half hour and counting... will update. Be warned by all of the reviews on here.

My son-in-law booked a flight from Japan to Dallas for his wife and 5 year old son. Only to be informed that ticket they paid for were not available. This was the night before the flight. Yet the tickets were charged twice. They are fighting for a full refund. This a family that needs help recovering the monies. As we all know that our military are paid so very little, and the cost of living in Japan is high. Shame on you, Cheapoair. I will spread the word on Facebook.
