Never use this company. Full of cheating, customer service very rude!!! By mistake I booked two adult tickets at 11:00 PM. On the next day at 2:00 PM (well within 24 hours), I called them to make changes. I was told that I have to pay the penalty of $200 each because it was not on the same day. I was also asked to pay a price difference of $171 each. This means that I need to pay $742 for this change well within 24 hours. I checked their website and found that the new ticket is even cheaper. They explained to me that to change the ticket is different from to book a new ticket. Listen to me, never use this company!!!

CheapOair did not alert me as to my return flight from DFW to TPA 24 hours prior to the flight to check in. Fortunately, I was able to contact Spirit Air and check myself in. But with no reminder from CheapOair I could have easily missed the return flight. The last booking I got to DFW roundtrip was through Expedia and they reminded me within 24 hours of the flight to check in with the airline. As a result, I may not use your services in the future.

I booked two tickets to London for $2688.70 including taxes and fees. When I got my credit card statement I noticed an additional $100 charge by CheapOair. I queried with customer support and was told that the first line of their script advised that the price charged included all taxes and fees. I advised them that they did not disclose that some of the fee was a charge by them (and not airport fees) - they said then repeated their script answer. I feel this is deceptive and that they should disclose that they are charging $50 per person for making the reservation. I won't be using their services again.

I would like to raise to your attention that, in March 8th I did a flight tickets and hotel booking, and the transaction was made through your website and the cost supposed to be flight book number **, cost =£331.66. Hotel booking number **, cost= £210.15, which is total of £541.81.
Here is the problem, I have noticed that more transaction been made in my account without my permission and awareness The transaction as following: Date 08 MAR , cheapOair.co.uk BK , amount of -£4.01. Date 08 MAR , www.flube.cogpl6rs, amount of -£119.98. Date 08 MAR, www.flybe.cogplc4samount, amount of -£214.67. Date 13 MAR , Flybe GBP on board, amount of -£14.00. There are excess deduction in flight cost £21!? The hotel cost not been deducted, however when I went to the hotel there was no any record for my booking and I had to pay more just to get a room. This is really bad experience. Hope you solve those issues soon. Thanks.

It takes CheapOAir and an airline 2 business days to charge a credit card, but after 1 month and 17 days, still there is no reimbursement. Flights were cancelled early March due to a snow storm; planned to take a once a year treatment with doctors who come from out of the country. A supervisor had to take the call, and said to wait 15-20 business days for a reimbursement to be received. After 20 business days there was no reimbursement; called them, and there is nothing they would guarantee but a request for us to wait. Still at this time (21 April 2015) there is no reimbursement and no one wishes to respond. If it took 2 business days for the credit card to be charged, then it shouldn't take so long (common sense!) for a reimbursement due to a cancelled flight due to inclement weather. Missed that unique health treatment opportunity and would have to wait for another year.

I got a very cheap fare quote from IND to DEN for booking number ** but the actual charge was 390 percent in excess of the quoted amount on the paper ticket Cheapoair issued. When I discovered my credit card had the overcharged I notified Cheapoair on Mar 14, 2015. I was promised a refund in 7 to 14 business days. When I complained after 15 business days that it had not yet arrived, I was told it would be another 7 to 14 business days. It has now been over six weeks. I still have not received a refund. Today they want permission to charge my account another dollar before they issue the refund in 7 to 14 days!
I addition, the chat and phone wait times are excessive. Up to 85 to 90 minutes have been quoted, which may or may not happen. On one occasion I was told it would be 85 minutes, but it was only a 20 minute wait! I have chatted and talked to ** and am waiting for the "manager" to return a call in 5 to 6 hours. I was denied any phone numbers for the refund dept or the Corporate headquarters. Just be aware, based on my experience of buying two tickets, that if quoted a cheap fare there may be a 50 percent chance you could be actually charged up to 390 percent more. If there is no value to your time and you enjoy being ripped off and put off, Cheap-o-air is the way to go!

There has been no reply on my refund. I have saved all the communication between myself and your service office in regards to my refund. What gets to me is that you keep requesting stuff that I have submitted then a month later or so you ask for the same information. This tells me that either you don't save the document per complaint or it is tactic of delaying the process and no accountability with the person dealing with an individual request or complaint. When will the refund be RESOLVED???

I recently booked tickets online with CheapOAir. Upon receipt of the confirmation email I immediately noticed two concerns: 1) Confirmation stated that the ticket was not confirmed until booked with the airline and "there may be a price increase." 2) Although I very intentionally did NOT select the "Flexible Date Flight" when I booked the tickets, my confirmation stated that I saved $19 because I had booked a FLEXIBLE DATE FLIGHT.
I immediately placed a phone call to Customer Service, and was put on hold for 20 minutes. When the representative finally answered I could not understand one word of his greeting (I speak English), but nevertheless I asked him to explain the "flexible date flight." Silence. I asked a second time. Still silence. Finally I said, "Never mind, I would just like to cancel my tickets." His response, "I will transfer you." I told him I did not want to be put on hold for another 20 minutes! He told me he did not have the authority to cancel reservations. I was so frustrated at that point I finally went online and canceled my tickets. BE WARNED. If it seems too good to be true... it probably isn't.

I booked a flight with them for around 1200.00. After not being able to book a room during travel because every hotel was booked I cancelled my flight. I was told after all the fees I would receive a 500 credit. Well I tried to book another flight with my credit and they said I should've booked it in 60 days even though the credit email states I have 1 year. After the phone operator changed his mind a decided to let me book my flight that was priced at 260.00. He informed me I still owe 210.00. Because there were other fees and realistically out of my 1200 I only have 50.00. Makes no sense to me either. I told him to pound sand and I would never be booking with them again. So I basically threw away 1200 on these people. Who make up their own fees and could care less about the customer.
Updated on 04/20/2015: CheapOair has recently tried to dispute my last complaint so that the public will not know about how they run their business. Unfortunately CheapOair failed once again with their customer service and did not offer any solution to the fact that after paying almost 1200.00 with all the fees of just trying to change my travel dates, they now offer me 50.00 per person for a credit to fly with them. But when I tried to call and use this credit, the phone operator made up his own rules saying I only had 60 days to rebook even though my email states I have one full year. So I just threw away 1200 and all I received was an email stating I have a credit which I'm not allowed to use because they have a rule that the phone operator made up.

CheapOair advertised a great price on the site from Sydney to London return. Unfortunately the prices quoted said they were in AUD and so we got a nasty surprise when we got our credit card bill as they had been quoted in USD so the price shot up. Also on their initial confirmation email to us the price quoted was $500 more than what we signed up to and the taxes were $380 (which was fine as this is the usual amount). They sent a second email a few hours later, correcting the fare amount and adding the $500 onto the taxes! So this tax figure is now $890 - there are no fares on their website that attract those sort of taxes! I am sure this must be against the law.
As you would expect no one wants to know about our problems at CheapOair, we have spent hours speaking to people on the phone. And just so you know you are never really speaking to people in a specific country they are all in call centres in New Delhi or the Philippines and couldn't care less about the customer, only about getting (and keeping) their money! It is certainly a case of Buyer Beware! I would never use them again.

Never Use this company! If you think airline fees are steep wait until you get crushed by CheapOair fees. First, you do not have 24 hrs to review your booking. You only have 4. After 4 hours you will be charged service fee of more than $50 (in my case it was $54.90) for just booking your ticket with their website. Second in addition to airline cancellation fee you will be charge $200 per ticket for economy and $300 per ticket for business class ticket cancellation.
I saw their fare using Kayak and it was giving me a discount of about $100 on a $2400 ticket and since I needed to buy 5 tickets I thought why not use this company. I called their customer service representative and received verbal acknowledgment that CheapOair does not charge fees in addition to airline fees. I went ahead and bought 5 tickets. What a mistake that will cost me now $300 in addition to $200 that airline charges. I will finish with the same statement that I started - Never Use this company! It took 2 hours and 3 representatives to issue a refund. Never Use this company!

Next, my boyfriend couldn't make the trip because he has to work, so I called and explained to them I would pay the $75.00 cancellation fee and that in 7-14 days I would get a full refund for his ticket. TWO MONTHS have passed by and they can't figure out why the terms changed and why I haven't got it. I spoke to a supervisor and he assured me he would give me a call back in 24-48 hours.

On the link provided on my ticket for luggage there was only to/from Usa/Canada so I sent them 4 emails 4 days in a row (each with a generated response of we have received your message and will come back with an answer asap)... I then tried contacting them on facebook and got after 24 hours another link back, but the content on that link was not clear either and when I asked them to specify (they clearly just sent me this link and left it at that), I did not even get a response... Desperate, I first tried the chat with US (I assume it was) but that did not work at all so I tried the UK chat. During 2 conversations I got 2 different answers that were both different to the link provided by the FB account.
This is a complete joke and worst of all was the complete silence i was met by from both the people on facebook and the "customer email service". On original screen flexible dates are noted with blue highlighted lines. I signed up to get notices about better deals and when a notice came in for a very good price I did not notice that it was a flexible date-- a day that I could not use. I simply thought I was being given the best deal for what I wanted. I signed up for it and when confirmation came through which was non refundable it was only then that I noticed that it was for the date I could not use. The notice did NOT use highlighted lines like on your front pages. While indeed I could have been more alert to it I still think you could have been more consistent and in all likelihood I would have noticed the difference if it had been highlighted. Your agent helped me adjust but there was a hefty change fee that I think could have been avoided.

I flew last weekend London-Eindhoven-London on a Ryanair Ticket (£58.00) bought via CheapOAir in February 2015. I received an email shortly before the flight offering me the opportunity to check in online. I did so and everything proceeded smoothly.. until my return journey. Not having booked in online on my way back to UK, I assumed it would not be a problem to check in at the airport. I did not receive a second email about checking in online on the return journey and had only done so on the way there. Not having a computer with me I did not find a convenient opportunity to check in online for the return trip.
To my amazement I was obliged to pay €70 (more than the cost of the return ticket!) in order just to make use of my return ticket. I was told that Ryanair wasn't responsible and that their terms and conditions were clear on the website. They said it was up to CheapOAir to refund me. It was not their problem they said that CheapOAir did not warn me of the terms of the ticket. I completely disagreed with this but had no choice but to pay the money to get on the plane home.
Today I rang CheapOAir and took some time explaining that I thought their documentation was deficient and that they should have a clear WARNING about printing the online boarding pass, that it would have been EASY TO INCLUDE this warning in their email to me offering the opportunity to Check in online, all that was needed (knowing that it was a Ryanair Flight) was to say NB Check in ONLINE is obligatory. I found out in fact that Ryanair have had an online checkin before policy for years, so there is NO EXCUSE for CheapOAir not to have included such a warning especially since in the terms and conditions there is an item about excess baggage fees which Low Budget airlines are notorious for charging.
I had two fairly lengthy conversations with CheapOAir representatives at the end of the telephone line today, and here are the key points: 1 - I was impressed that it was so easy to get through to a real person (wikipedia in fact mentions this about CheapOair that it is a feature of their service - great!) 2 - The first person I spoke to was a young Dutch man who was incredibly personable and did see the validity of my situation and complaint, he was not just an automaton with a party line. He advised me to take it up with the billing department and he put me through.
3 - I was amazed to be put through to someone in America.. and she too was very personable and reasonable. She said they sold many tickets from different airlines and could not be responsible for conveying all the conditions of the individual airlines and that that was the responsibility of the buyer of the ticket to explore for themselves. Again I made the point that with a loophole as critical as the ONLINE ticket obligation, they should absolutely put in a sentence that it is OBLIGATORY for Ryanair customers to check in online or pay a huge fee at the airport. She acknowledged this and was able to credit me as a 'goodwill gesture' with a £23.00 refund (which I have since received an email about).
I am kind of semi assuaged by this, but still feel hard done by and doubt I will ever use CheapOAir again (despite being impressed with the quality of people on their end of their helpline). I still can't get my head around the fact that although I printed off an entire page of 'Terms and Conditions' there is NO WARNING about this vicious Online check in requirement, no reference whatsoever.
I am sure that there are hundreds of customers like me who get caught out by this loophole and I would love to know if Ryanair haven't got some kind of deal with CheapOair whereby they agree not to get to specific about this killer extra charges. I mean €70 just to reissue a boarding pass!!???? I am going to take up all this information and send it to the consumer columns of national Newspapers like The Guardian and ombudsman, Money Matters etc - huge companies both Ryanair and CheapOAir ought to treat their customers better with at least obvious clear documentation. I am going to take legal advice about this.
I do not see how it can be legal for one company (CheapOAir) to sell the product of another company (Ryanair) while withholding or not communicating absolutely essential information about that product (i.e. when the customer is vulnerable to paying a huge surcharge and this could have been avoided with a single sentence in CheapoOAir's terms and conditions, or in the email especially about checking in ONLINE).

On Friday, April 10th, 2015, I purchased airline tickets on www.cheapoair.ca. My total was $1,032.62 in Canadian dollars. I received a confirmation e-mail, detailing my flight itinerary, and that my order had been completed, and my credit card would be charged the agreed upon amount. Shortly after this confirmation e-mail, I noticed on the company website that the company requires a verbal confirmation over the phone. I called the company twice (once with questions, and a follow up to confirm the flight).
The next day, I received an email stating that my tickets were no longer available and I would have to rebook. I called to inquire (and rebook if necessary), and was informed that the price of the flights had now more than doubled to $2,182 Canadian dollars. After speaking with a customer representative, I spent over an hour with a customer service manager who ultimately informed me that there was nothing they could do for me, other than rebook my tickets for $2,182 instead of the agreed upon $1032.62. The excuse was that even though I had agreed to purchased the tickets, they had not yet acquired the tickets from the airline, and were thus no longer able to honour the agreement. I was told I would receive a call back from someone higher up. That has yet to happen. To date, I have now spent 2 hours and 9 minutes on the phone with them.

That doesn't however give them an excuse to lie to me and sell me another ticket under the guise of having any sort of credit toward a new one. They tell me that I will have to pay $50 just to cancel. Then they tell me it will cost $200 to make it flexible so I can change the flight when I know when I can leave. Then when I do call to change they add another $100 because they say there is a difference in cost at times I had to take. Bonita, I show that you booked the reservations on line and chose Spirit airlines. Spirit airlines charges for seating and when you checked in you had the option to choose a seat but would of had to pay for it. It does tell you if you do not pay and Spirit chooses for you, you may not be able to sit together, it clearly explained this. This is not the fault of Cheapoair, for we have no control over the airlines policies regarding seating. Also bag fees are your responsibility and again you pay online with Spirit at check in, or anytime after the reservation has been made. These are fees that the airline charges, and we have no way to collect these fees for them. I do apologize for the inconveniences you experienced, but all the opportunities to select seating, and bags were available to you as soon as you completed the reservation.

I would also like to know about shuttle options from the airport to the hotel and requested for my fiance and my seats to be together on the plane. I've been on the phone waiting for customer service for one and a half hours with no response because I keep getting transferred and given a phone number that plays recording to wait... and then returns static. I've let each person who transfers me know I am receiving static... clearly my time doesn't matter. I'm highly unpleased. I tried to chat with customer service... another 29 minute expected wait time. The one time I was transferred to someone to help me- he couldn't book the excursion and wanted to charge me $30 to secure my flight seats. I called the airline and the seats were already together... no charge. Thanks CheapOair.

I bought two flight tickets at the total price of £513.16. The company submitted four claims with my bank for £443.16+£443.16+£50+£20. I asked the company to account for these separate claims, the reply was "These are service fee of cheapoair for your reservations!!!" I have been charged £50 for a misspelled surname; I understand airlines did not charge this. The company made mistakes in our date of births by swapping my wife's dob with mine - did the airline charge the company for this? We have not been charged. How?

When dialed the number that was given to me, I was told I had the wrong number and was given another number. TWO, I repeatedly told different associates there were 2 tickets probably under the same booking number that's why they couldn't find but the 1 cancelled ticket. The fact I was saying something contrary to what a representative is saying, I would think you would do all you can to find out what's going on the first time and send me to the department that could "dig" deeper. In February, we scheduled a round trip flight from Washington Dulles to Fort Lauderdale leaving on 4/5/15 and return on 4/12/15 on Frontier through CheapOAir. Because this was a Sunday leave and Sunday return we paid a premium. Two weeks later we receive an email from CheapOAir stating that the departure dates from Dulles and Fort Lauderdale were changed from Sunday to Monday. In the email they said that it was Frontier that changed the reservations and not CheapOAir.
I called CheapOAir and after the usual 20+ minutes I got someone on the line. They maintained that the move from Sunday to Monday was caused by Frontier and beyond CheapOAir's control. I explained the inconvenience -- to no avail. I then asked that they at least give me the lower Monday rates instead of the premium Sunday rates. They said that the rates were fixed in February and they could do nothing. I asked for a "supervisor" and got the same runaround - it was Frontier's fault.
I then called Frontier and they stated that during April they do NOT fly from Dulles to Fort Lauderdale! Believe it or not CheapOAir still blamed Frontier. I have learned a lesson... There are so many other more reputable, professional companies online that it is not worth dealing with a slipshod outfit like these guys. Buyer beware! Hope this helps you.

My husband and I booked two tickets to travel from the US to Tunisia in August 2014 via CheapOair.com. We were unable to take the flight due to airline (Air France) visa regulation issues. We called the agency to cancel the reservations and ask for a refund. And after prolonged conversations, they told us that we will have a credit of $4300 with Air France and that we have to pay $100 cancelation fees. And that we will have to pay $300/person rebooking fees when we rebook. AND that we only have one year to use this credit with the same airline. They did not refund us any cent but instead promised this credit on file valid for a year! Fair enough?
In March 2015 we started to plan for the same trip and to reclaim our credit from Air France during a low season booking. We want to travel in May which makes the price of all tickets much lower than it will be in August. So we called the airline and they denied completely that they have any ownership of our cancelled tickets from last August or that they owe us anything as credit. They see that the travel agency owns the tickets and that we have to re-book through them. So we called the agency to rebook and they claimed that since we have the credit with the airline itself, then they have no power over their "rules". Well, it turns out that the rules are as follows: We have to book the tickets with the same value of the credit OR MORE! This was not included in the initial agreement included in an email from CheapOair.com.
What blows our mind is that the current market price for tickets in the low season does not supersede the amount of the credit. We would like to use the credit we have with them even if partially. In other words, we would like to reserve again using any amount of the credit instead of losing it all! But NO! How else would helloair.com make more money? They have refused to book us without charging us and additional $1200 ($600/person) to make the difference. How does this make sense? We already have a credit of $4300 and the total ticket value now for the two of us is $3000. They can theoretically speaking keep the difference. Not only will they make money off the remainder of the credit, they want us to pay even more to make up the difference between the current ticket value in the market and the value of the CREDIT, our CREDIT!
They would not budge! They speak very rudely to us and we can barely understand their accent. They are mad employees who speak with so much anger to customers who would not have called if they had no issues! We are not millionaires and we cannot afford to waste this amount of credit. But we feel that it is cheaper to book at market rate than go through hell with this agency again trying to do the impossible to take what is our right from the start! We are deeply disappointed and never ever experienced such a robbery before. Please AVOID using them. Cheap does not mean you have the right in it or that you will even enjoy it. They care only about your credit card #.

I went through CheapOair to book a one way flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas on March 17th, 2015. I also got their insurance with them in case I needed to cancel. That same day I called CheapOair because I had to cancel my flight. On their site it says that I have 2 hours to make a cancellation before any fees are charged. I was on hold for 45 minutes without any help.
On March 18th I called early in the morning around 7am and finally was able to speak with someone. The agent on the phone was sooooo rude. I'm a very polite person so for this agent to be straight unprofessional shocked me. I told him about my canceling the flight due to a work mix-up situation and that I got insurance with the flight. He was speaking so fast with a bad accent. I asked him politely to repeat slowly cause I could not understand him. He raised his voice and went back to speaking fast. After telling him again to slow down I was able to understand him. He tells me I could not cancel my flight because I'm not dying or ill and if I were to cancel I would have to pay 125 dollars. My flight was only 82 dollars. I explained to him how the insurance is falsely advertised because it does not say that when you pay for it. It says free cancellation.
He then began to raise his voice. I told him he was rude and i was going to report him. I hung up. I called again and was hold for 30 minutes. I figure I try the next day cause they got me so mad. Thought I'd calm down. Next day I tried calling. Again on hold without any help for 45 minutes. I waited long because I figure I'm not the only one having issues with them. After the day I spoke to the rude agent I haven't been able to cancel my flight. Their website it says if I don't make my flight they are going to charge me a fee. Obviously the agent did not care what profession I was in, that getting money from me was more important than me saving people's lives. I will never book with CheapOair again. And I highly suggest if you do book, never ever get the insurance cause it's worthless.

I would give one advice: don't book your flights with them (at least if you are not in the US). They use deceptive marketing techniques in order to fool you to buy your flight ticket with them. I explain: if you search for a flight they will give you only the price in US dollars. Like I live in New Zealand and absolutely all the other websites I checked were in NZ dollars. I didn't check the small lines saying it was in US dollars and I paid 300 dollars more than I should have done with the other websites, due to the wrong dollar currency. Obviously, when I asked to cancel my order, they said that it was indicated when purchasing (in very small) so I can't say anything. But I'm pretty sure it is a marketing technique used in order to attract the "distracted" customers like me.
This kind of deceptive techniques shouldn't be allowed but as long as there is no law, there is nothing to do except boycotting this website! I encourage you to buy only from honest and respectful websites and avoid this website for your flights!

I recently booked a flight from Santo Domingo to Fort Lauderdale using Cheapoair. A couple of days later I noticed a charge for their fee to my account. OK. Five days later, I received another charge which turned out to be for checked baggage. Looking at my account each day, there was never anything pending. In any event I had a online chat with them, and they said they had cancelled the fee since my plans had changed and I would not take the flight. A couple of days later, I noticed this had not been done, so I had another chat with them. The agent assured me the fee HAD been refunded. This morning, I received an email from them saying that, according to the airline, the fee was non-refundable, that the entire situation was the fault of the airline. It doesn't take much to admit a mistake and move on. Just don't lie. This was not a misunderstanding. Just lies.

I had a bad experience with CheapOAir. I was looking for a last minute flight out of London, and I was told by one of their agents to book a flight leaving from London Gatwick that afternoon with Icelandair. I booked the flight, and received a confirmation e-mail (but without a ticket number). When I got to the airport, the check-in counter told me I needed a ticket number for them to issue me my ticket and check me in.
I spent hours on the phone being told different accounts of false information, that they would consult different departments and e-mail me the ticket number and then never did, multiple times. The flight was delayed, otherwise I would have missed it completely due to their disorganization. I realize that I made the booking that morning, but I have no idea why they would have suggested I make that booking if they weren't able to confirm my payment information and issue my ticket in time for the flight.
When I was finally on the phone with someone helpful, they told me they wouldn't be able to issue me my ticket for the flight at all, as the flight time had already passed (even though the flight was delayed). He also told me that they had actually never processed the payment for the first flight, even though they said I had. I was extremely frustrated and really had to get home, yet I had been on the phone with CheapOAir on an airport payphone for hours. I could have found another flight surely, but because I had been told I had been booked on this flight, I thought I had to deal with the hassle and I didn't have any other option.
The agent I spoke with let me know that he couldn't help me find any other flights for that day, as I wouldn't make it from Gatwick to Heathrow on time. I had to rebook my flight for the next day. I'm also confident that I wouldn't even have gotten this help from the agents at CheapOAir, but the one man I spoke with (named ** ) was very helpful and seemed to feel bad for me. I had an extremely negative experience with CheapOAir. I felt that they were extremely disorganized and dishonest. I don't know if I'm directing my complaint to the right place by putting it here, but I can't seem to get through to the company any other way. I will not be booking with them again.

Yes, I should have checked the names to make sure they were correct, but I was tired. When I forget to enter credit card information the website won't send purchase, and pops up with a reminder of what you forgot. But with the names for who the tickets are for, it automatically enters names that you have used in the past. One of the names it entered was correct, but the other one was not.
When I called the customer service, the automated voice said that the call volume was high and if I wasn't travelling in the next 7 days to e-mail their customer service and they will get back to me within a few hours. I e-mailed and never heard back, so I called again today. I ended up on hold for long amounts of time, and was told they could not change the name. They finally said they would cancel that ticket and get another one with the correct names but it would cost almost $50. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they hung up on me. I am currently calling back and have been on hold for over half an hour.

I have a disability and currently walk with a crutch, so prior to the booking I insisted on an aisle seat so as not to have to deal with the pain of trying to get into a window seat or center seat. I was assured my seating arrangement would be aisle seats on all 4 of the flights I was to be travelling on. In fact if I were not promised that I would have aisle seats every flight along the way, I would not have booked. Needless to say, I eventually found out that I only had aisle seats on half the flights. Window or center seats on the other two flights. No amount of telephone calls or live chats made a difference. No aisle seats available for me.
I then asked for a refund if seating could not be arranged as promised. Just another brick wall. Blah, blah, blah, refund not possible. I am still waiting on a phone call from the "resolutions" department to see if I can be issued a refund. CheapOair has lied to me to get the booking, and won't make things right. Lied to, and now cheated out of a refund. Keep this in mind before you book with CheapOair.
Mr. Storch was offered 2 options to satisfy his concern, and he chose a full refund of his non refundable ticket, in which we gladly agreed to. Although seating cannot be guaranteed due to the airline can make changes to the flight, aircraft type, or a single time change can alter seats. It's always best to check the airline website for any updates or changes. You can also assign seating directly with the airline if it is that important to have a specific request many do offer preferred seating at a charge, but it will assure you get aisle, exit row, bulk head.

Guys this travel agency is an absolute joke. I took my girlfriend to Berlin for her bday and booked a flight for the 11th of March 2015 to return on the 13th. I also booked and air bnb apartment at the same time and meticulously checked both before confirming (my colleagues at work also witnessed). My flight was at 9am on the Wednesday so I was doing last minute packing on the Tuesday night. My sister saw my tickets and said "Are you back on Thursday? I thought you said Friday?" To my surprise I was returning on Thursday afternoon exactly 24 hours after landing. Outraged I called Cheapoair. I was speaking to an Indian chap called **. I already knew this would not be resolved easily!!
Alongside calling me 'mate' and 'buddy' continuously he was very unhelpful. He tried to insist the erroneous flights were my problem even though he admitted that not all flights are available and the system matches to the closest date. To rebook a ticket it would cost £231 plus the airline cancellation fee of £80. The original flight and return (which incidentally didn't become cheaper even though they changed the return) cost £159. This new price made no sense at all.
Upon being told I could not get a refund or the price deducted from the ticket I would not be using, the chap tried to coax the money out of me saying, "Don't let your girlfriend down. You will ruin her holiday." If he was close by I would have throttled him. We spent 2 and a half hours arguing the toss with him putting me on hold at least 5 times for up to 15 minutes at a time. His return line of "Hello matings" grew less humorous as time went on.
My girlfriend went on Skyscanner and found us Easyjet tickets that would cost £80 to come back at the time we wished. This made me wonder where the hell £231 came from. As it happens Berlin was lovely and I highly advise a trip there if you have not been. AVOID CHEAPOAIR AT ALL COSTS. NAME IS ALMOST A GIVE AWAY!!!

Booked a flight on February 1st from Tampa, FL to Maracaibo, Venezuela on 3/9/2015 for my wife. A week prior to her leaving date Venezuela's government began to require Visas to US travelers. The closest Venezuelan Consulate to Tampa FL is in New Orleans (10 hrs. away). Not enough time to process a visa in time for departure so we contacted CheapOAir customer service on Friday and asked what could they do for us.
On Friday 3/6/2015 and after waiting for 30+ minutes to talk to a customer representative while listening to a pre-recorded repetitive message suggesting that I should consider email as the most convenient way of communication (mind you cancellations have to be done before the flight's time of departure), I was talking to someone who did not care to listen to my concerns but rather wanted to charge me "$85.00 for penalty fee for rescheduling the flight, plus the difference on the price of a prospect flight" (?). This representative did not care to acknowledge that my wife could not fly until she got around obtaining a visa in order to be admitted to Venezuela, he was just asking for money.
Given his inability to help me, I requested to talk to a supervisor (another wait time of 10+ minutes). I spoke to supervisor ** who told me that he was going to contact Copa Airlines to see about a possible refund and that most likely I was not going to get but $856 back from the $996 (plus taxes) that I have paid. He also said that he would contact me the next day to give me certainty about my choices. I told him that I did not agree with being penalized because the situation was beyond our control (sudden requested visa); the policies of cancellations of Copa Airlines use the word "involuntary" as a way to dismiss any responsibilities on their behalf for late arrivals as well as a possible need for rescheduling of flights.
These sudden requirement of visas to US travelers from the Venezuelan government resulted in an involuntary cancellation of the flight unless CheapOAir and Copa Airlines would rather have my wife try to board a plane to Venezuela w/o the necessary documentation to be able to enter the country of destination(?). He stated that he would need to contact Copa Airlines and then he would get back to me the next day. Supervisor ** never contacted me with the update.
On Sunday 3/8/2015 I decided to call customer service again. After going through the same motions I finally got to talk to a Female supervisor whom stated that there was no update from **. At that time I decided to cancel the trip formally and requested a refund. Supervisor stated that she was going to contact ** (not available), and I would get some feedback. On Monday 3/9/2015 at about 8:30 pm I called back seeking to learn something about the refund. I waited for 52 minutes to get a representative on the line to no avail. I hung up the phone. She's international so she set it up so I was her POC. Again no issues here. Here is where the problem comes. They call me to advise that the credit card was down, then they RUSH through the number so you barely hear it, thank god for iphones, you can hit replay over and over, and then it's not even the right number. And how did I figure that out? Please wait for someone to answer the phone, I sat through 7 (AMAZING OFFERS) according to the voice on the phone, when I finally thought I was going to get a human being, a new voice says, “this is the incorrect number, please write this # down and hang up the phone.”
I don't usually complain, I have two phone jobs myself so I know how it is, but what astounds me is that they left me TWO voicemails with the same incorrect number, if I'm trying to take care of business, it's pretty hard to get anything done with this kind of service on a time crunch. When I finally just hit call back on my caller ID, the man was anything if apologetic, didn't listen to what I needed from him, "the best number for my friend to internationally dial to get some decent service" I was livid. He was yelling at me, and I'm in customer service, the moment you yell, you not only lost me, but any recommendations I would have ever given. I would never book through them, and I'm not sorry.

This did not help as I missed out on a trip that I had planned to take on the week-end.
No one should be allowed to double dip from your credit card without your permission. I expected that if this needed to happen then I should have been contacted and I could have known about this ahead of time and make other plans for my week-end instead of getting a surprise when I try to book another ticket. The rep that 3-way me to my bank was nice enough and knew what she was talking about but I spoke to other reps who were not very helpful and just kept on getting frustrated and repeating "yes ma’am, but ma’am" throughout the conversation which was very annoying. I have used one travel before and did not have a problem. I know mistakes happen, but because it impacted my week-end trip, I'm not sure I'll use cheap-o-air again.....
Updated on April 14, 2015: I wrote a review about what happen to me while dealing with this company and just now looked at the review and noticed that the company is disputing my claim. This is terrible. What I wrote was exactly what happen and I'm still having problems with them. I wish someone from the company would call me and tell me that what I wrote about did not happen. My goodness how low can these people be. Today I tried calling them and was on hold for over an hour so I hang up the phone. Once they have your credit card and they take your money to hell with you even if they book you out in the Pacific Ocean for a hotel; you obviously have no recourse. I'll go back to the old way of booking a trip. I'll go into an office and book my future trips with a travel agent that I can see. I dislike bad business practice.

Last summer my family had to cancel our trip, so we ended up with $2600+ credit and obligation to pay $135/per person penalty (+difference in ticket price if any) upon re-booking. Yesterday we attempted to re-book flight and ticket price advertised is almost $300 less per ticket than what we paid last summer. I didn't expect to have any refunds, but excess amount should have at least cover penalty and make us break even. Instead, I was requested to pay extra $606. When I requested precise explanation of charges, phone representative couldn't make it clear to me and offered to be transferred to supervisor for further discussion. After over 45 minutes on hold, I was hanged up on... No explanation email, no apologies, no clear understanding on how 2 tickets offered at $952/per person (including tax) ended up costing us almost $3300.

I booked a car. Paid $250 for the 3 days use of it. A remainder was due, per the contract, for $50 dollars to the rental car company. I also paid for insurance. I arrived to the car rental place only to find that the location was not an "in airport" facility as requested, but way outside the airport. The rental company had no idea what CheapOair was. They did not honor the contract, and did not have any money from CheapOair.
I contacted several people from CheapOAir with plenty of documentation, because the rental car company charged me -- so far-- about $1000 for the three days. I have the names of the people from New York whom I contacted in the CheapOair headquarters, follow up emails, an offer to settle the matter, and plenty of documentation. This occurred on February 13. As of this writing 3/10 I have not received any response from CheapOair.

I recently purchased flights to Galapagos Islands via Cheap O Air, received booking confirmation email- all looked fine. The next day I check my credit card statement online to find I have been charge the total amount 3 times. Of course not impressed as this is in the sum of thousands of dollars, so I go to booking confirmation email, find "Customer assistance form" stating they will get back to you within 24 hours, so filled out the form as required and still days later have not received a reply. I also then followed up via their website email contact, still also await a reply, found they have a on line live chat service so I thought I would try this avenue, once selected the wait time was over 300 minutes.
I eventually got through to somebody the next day via live chat who then was kind enough to pass on the billing department email address, so basically handled me to another dead end at this stage. Have also tried to contact via phone no provided, however found it impossible to connect from Ecuador. So basically once they have their money there is no customer service at all, and your credit card details are "NOT SAFE" with this company. I have followed up my Bank to investigate this issue to refund the monies overcharged!! I am also wondering now if I turn up on the day of my flight to the airport that I will actually be able to get on the plane? If I get a reply from Cheap O Air I will update on here of their response and action taken to help their customer out! Not impressed at this stage.

My mother purchased tickets for some members of the family to go to Florida. When purchasing it online she thought she was doing the smart thing by purchasing the insurance that says it covers your tickets, but only in extreme cases (which isn't made clear that you cannot cancel due to job or school no longer giving permission to have off, typical life events).
Her and I sat down and messaged the online support to see what we could do and what the insurance would let us do because the children we are bringing can no longer go due to extended recent illness keeping them from school and having to not miss more time at the end of their year in May due to state testing. The agent informed us it doesn't cover a refund and when we asked: "Oh geez okay. So in reality the insurance is not worth the cost because there has to be a death or natural disaster basically. ** 9:05 PM. “Yes, you can say that.” ** 9:06 PM. This is the response that we received. Even the customer service agent said, “Yes the insurance is not worth the cost.”
This company sells bogus insurance, because it would cover real life events also if they actually cared. We will make sure that we let the many people in our lives know when they travel not to use this site. There are definitely better companies out there, and the fact that someone isn't so keen to all the money making tricks travel companies have, shouldn't cost them financially. She was trying to do a nice surprise for the grandchildren, and has learned her lesson the expensive way. The least that could be done is refund the useless insurance cost to her for the seven tickets.

So I called CheapOAir before my flight in December to confirm that I could cancel the flight without penalty and have a year to reuse the tickets being that I bought travelers insurance, etc. because I was having family issues and needed to cancel. Well, I learned today that I do not have a flight at all for my son and myself because CheapOAir states I did not cancel the flights, now I paid $1968 and some change with insurance. I was told to contact British Airways to cancel the flight first, then British Airways stated I had to do it through CheapOAir all of this was done.
So being that I needed to use these tickets this year, and who would cancel or think they had cancelled tickets costing almost two grand without some kind of statement that they would be able to use said tickets within a year? Again I was told to call British Airways well they told me again to call CheapOAir and I had to recall British Airways stating that they did not keep tickets if someone does not use them if not sick. Both are telling me that I have nothing because apparently British Airways has the money and CheapOAir being the place I booked the flights has nothing. I even received an email from CheapOAir asking if I wanted to rebook my return flight and if I did not then to email them back, of which I did. Now CheapOAir has no records of me calling to cancel, British Airways has no tickets, and I am out of the money and tickets!!!!!

Coming to the point my air ticket cost was $311 and after I booked with cheapoair I have seen 283 in us airways site for the same airfare. Well since my employer delayed my joining date I had to cancel it and they have charged $25 for cancellation apart from 311 and give me a credit of 283 out of which us airways would penalize $200 so at the end of the day I have lost a total of $200+25+28=253 and the credit of 83 left after penalty has to be used again with cheapoair which sucks. Serious these airways and especially cheapoair kind of broker people are robbing people's money. Time to look for a new one and throw this cheapoair in garbage. Norwegian indicated it will let the impacted customers change schedule without charging fees or get a full refund because Norwegian made the flight schedule change at first. Since I booked my flight via CheapOair, Norwegian airline asked me contact CheapOair to make any change or refund. I called CheapOair. First several phone calls, the CheapOair told me they won't be able to refund my airfare. Eventually, CheapOair verified with Norwegian airline and agreed FULL REFUND is an option for impacted customers. CheapOair told me "I have called its Billing Department to ask refund." I called Billing/Refund departments - they asked me to call Scheduled change department first.
My phone calls never got transferred to the right persons. There were 4 phone calls, I got put on hold by the CheapOair representatives because they said they need call the airline or manager for verifying information. All 4 calls I waited online more than 1 hours, the representatives never came back. I submitted email requests via CheapOair website. They didn't respond the email requests either. After completing booking I received a message from Amex telling me my payment had been declined. I spent some time on the app and the website looking for an email address and sent off the first email indicating my card had been declined and I needed to pay. The response was relatively rapid and suggested I ring a 1800 number, which in Australia is a local phone call. I could not connect. Selected online help chat which dropped out 3 times. Sent another email. Response did not acknowledge my location, simply assumed I was in USA. The website search indicated your 3 locations, so now I had become aware of where this was happening.
Significant delays ensued, so we booked another flight in my friend's name and paid. This time, the booking app changed our dates again to save money. That is great, but maybe when the new flights come up, the change in date could be highlighted on this screen?
I did receive another email, I completed an online feedback form and now have an Australian contact number, which is not on your website! The next morning I received a phone call to resolve my problems. My experience was positive overall, but could have been less stressful if there was a contact number link which would connect to the nearest help centre. The attitude and helpfulness of most of your staff has made me confident in using CheapOair again.

Yet, the day of, the airline (US Airways) gave boarding passes for the 4 hour leg of the trip, both down and back, with my family of 3 broken up. US Airways said they don't guarantee seating. July 21, 2014 booked round trip travel from Denver to Taveuni Island, Fiji for January/February 2015, ticketing for my wife and I. This involved 3 flights each way, a domestic flight from DIA to LAX, then a red eye Fiji Air flight to Nadi in Fiji, then a turboprop domestic Fiji flight. Return reversed this same route and final flight was to be Frontier #406, Feb 9, 2015, LAX to DIA. Departing Fiji our bags were checked all the way through to DIA. When we arrived at the Frontier ticket counter in LAX we learned that though our names appeared on the passenger manifest, our ticket numbers were false. Forty-eight minute call to CheapOair failed to resolve this.
My iPhone was shared with Frontier agents so they could speak directly with agent at CheapOair. Frontier supervisor related that only 2 days earlier a couple returning from Australia had identical problem with CheapOair. Fatigued from overnight flight and jet-lagged, and with departure approaching, we paid cash for two new tickets. CheapOair agent kindly provided her full name and email, and instructed me to send photocopy of receipts for the replacement tickets (total $604). This I did following day in PDF attached to email, and she immediately emailed me to confirm that attachment opened and that this had been forwarded to her supervisor.
Since then there has been no communication from CheapOair. I have called several times. Have been told that they have requested refund to me from Frontier, and later have been told they have requested refund to me from Fiji Air. I have told them that my investigation with Frontier reveals tickets at Frontier were never purchased for us and that the airline confirmation code listed on our itinerary can be traced to United Air.
Conversation yesterday, Feb 27th, with CheapOair supervisor, indicates they cannot grasp that contract they wrote and to which I agreed when paying them $4,300 to CheapOair in July 2014 was with CheapOair, not with either Fiji Air or Frontier, and that the contract was for a complete itinerary with tickets for full round trip, which CheapOair did not provide. It was not prorated or broken into fees for individual flights. Refund is due from CheapOair to me, and CheapOair can deal with their subcontractor. Presently await call from "management" at CheapOair. I am preparing a complaint to the consumer protection office of our Colorado AG's office and would seek full refund of the entire amount I paid CheapOair, not just $604 unanticipated out of pocket expenses. CheapOair left us stranded and on our own resources to return home.

I called and spoke to a girl by the name of Suzie to book the flight on the phone as I was looking at the fares on the website. She pushed me and pushed me to book the tickets for a family of 5 saying that there are only 6 tickets left at the price at that time. She put me on hold for a few minutes and when she came back to the phone, she said the price had gone up in that short time.
So I paid $83 extra dollars than what it was showing on the website. Her answer to that was that the price went up that quickly and that there were now only 5 tickets left. So I went ahead and booked the flight for a total of $3261.20. I checked again today 2/26/15, just to see what the flights were and if they had gone up. When they get to the airport the day of travel my husband was told he needs a visa to get to DKR (he was thinking he could get the visa upon arrival which was how it use to be). Anyway the airline let them fly to Montreal where they spend the night and aircanada was nice enough to give them a hotel. I was able to get a pre-enrollment visa that night. So I called cheapoair for a change of flight so they can catch the next flight to DKR. One of their agent Tania told me she could get them on the next flight if I pay $597 which I did.
After making the payment Tania said I will get an E-ticket but after a couple of hours I called Cheapoair and Tania told me she is working on it. She later called me back saying she was not suppose to make the changes to the ticket that's why I did not get the email confirmation and that she is going to cancel it and give me a refund. I now had to buy another ticket for $707 for them to come back to YYC.
A day later I got an email from a lady called Cassie. After I explain to her that they were not denied a visa, the refund was simply from a change a flight that i made, I got another email from her: "We would not be able to send this request over without the documents requested per the airlines request, since you do not have the denial letter I have closed your request on my end." I don't understand why I was asked to provide a visa denial letter. I did not tell any of the agents I spoke to that my husband's visa was denied. I am really pissed cause they should have know the ticket cannot be changed. Cheapoair give me back my money.
Customer was assisted immediately when they contacted us regarding their concern. Because of the time frame it takes to actually receive the refund to ones credit card, this customer blogged that this was not resolved. However, he did receive his full refund 2 days after he posted this, which falls into the time frame 1-2 billing cycles. It was a matter of timing, and customer felt he should of had it sooner. The concern was handled properly and immediately, but unfortunately not to Fatima's expectation.

We got an email that our flight is canceled from the airline, then they said that we have to stay overnight at our own expense. Then I kept calling them and after long time, I had to ask them to talk to the supervisor because their representative wasn't helpful and asked me to wait 48 hours so that they can call the airline!!! Then supervisor told me he is going to call me in 1 hour and he never called me. Again after hours calling, finally somebody answered my phone and helped me to cancel the flight and said he is going to send me email. Guess what? He never did either. Now I am trying to get a hold on somebody but no one is answering. I spent 6 hours calling, staying on hold and etc. It was the worst service ever!

My boss called CheapoAir to get a quote for a flight. They sold him a very expensive flight and told him it was a great deal. After he gave them his credit card number and before he got off of the phone, he tried to back out of the deal. The foreign guy on the phone told him it was too late to cancel because the transaction had already been processed. This happened at about 7 PM on a Sunday night. On Monday, he told me what happened and that he had paid TWICE as much for the flight as he had if he had gone through the airline. I called to try and get it taken care of because according to ** (Federal Regulations) a consumer has 24 hours from booking to cancel their reservation with no penalty. CheapoAir hung up on me twice after I was on hold each time for over 20 minutes.
Then I finally got in touch with "Calvin" at ext ** who tried to help. He said we would get the whole amount refunded (over $1000) and then sent an email that said we would get $0 refunded but the reservation had been canceled. He said the email was an error and he would send a new one. My mistake, I let him off the phone. No new email, but we did get yet ANOTHER charge from CheapoAir for $25 on our credit card within 2 minutes of hanging up. So, I called back and tried to get back in touch with "Calvin" but he's not taking any calls right now and the guy who did answer the phone has put me on hold for another over 20 minutes. Soon I will have to hang up because I have some other things to do today.
THIS IS QUITE A SCAM. We are calling our credit card company right now to dispute these charges and will be filing a BBB, DOT and FAA complaint as well. WHEN THEY DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU THEY JUST PUT YOU ON TERMINAL HOLD AND HOPE YOU GO AWAY. By the way, I was very polite and not yelling at these people. They just want to keep the money.

First, nobody is responding my emails sent to you. Second, I talked to an agent online and asked about my seat confirmation. He said he can't answer my question and I need to call Air China to confirm my seats. So today, I called Air China and waited 15 mins just to know that I should be calling Air Canada. So, I called Air Canada. They looked into my booking details too and told me that I should be calling Air China AGAIN because my flight is with AIR CHINA. They said they can't do anything about it and told me the best i could do is contact AIR CHINA AGAIN or CheapOair to get it fixed. So what I did is called CheapOair, the agent said that she can't do something about it because i should be dealing with Air China, or just wait until the day of my flight comes, I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW. I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR AN ANSWER FOR OVER A MONTH NOW.
IT SEEMS LIKE NO ONE REALLY WANTED TO HELP ME. ALL I WANT IS TO GET EVERYTHING FIXED NOW SO THAT WHEN THE DAY OF MY FLIGHT COMES, MY TRIP WILL BE HASSLE FREE, NO DELAYS OR ANYTHING. I WANT A STRESS FREE VACATION. I AM TRYING TO GET EVERYTHING FIXED BY NOW BECAUSE I SAW A LOT OF NEGATIVE REVIEWS ABOUT CHEAPOAIR, THAT'S WHAT I'M TRYING TO AVOID. I already wasted a lot of time calling you and the other airlines, because they keep on passing the issue on different airlines, what more if I waited until the day of my flight comes. I REALLY HOPE AND WISH THAT SOMEONE WILL BE ABLE TO HELP AND ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. I'M TIRED OF WASTING TIME AND EFFORT AND GETTING NO RESULTS. I WONT RECOMMEND THIS SITE, WON’T EVEN USE IT EVER AGAIN.

I had called for an update in the date of birth of the 2 passengers that was due to one of your agent’s mistake. The agent made the corrections and when I asked for refund, I was put on hold for a VERY, VERY LONG duration. I called at around 12:05 PM (US Eastern Time) on 02/22/2015 and I've been put on hold by your agent on hold for over 50 minutes and then guess what? I hanged up. Do you seriously expect someone to wait on the phone for over 50 minutes and expect no answer?
I was told about any human error arising out of the agent would make me eligible for a refund in the entire service fee as well as $50 coupon if I report the error within 24 hours of the confirmation. To let you know, the airlines had made a slight change in the schedule and so when I called your customer care number, the agent on the phone confirmed/acknowledged the change on my behalf. Thereafter, when I got the confirmation, the date of birth was messed up for 2 passengers in that ticket. And that's when I called up again (yes within 24 hours of the confirmation) to ask for correction & refund. The correction was made but then I was put on hold forever when I asked for refund. If you believe in your policy (see below link), and if you are true in business, then I should surely get the compensation for this. Link to your policy about human error: **

Through a friend's referral stating that CheapOAir is a great website with awesome deals, I will not conduct business with them again. I booked an American Airlines ticket from DFW to Cancun, yet I received a confirmation email stating that the departure is from Cancun to DFW. I complained to CheapOAir and the CheapOAir CSR stated that I should contact American Airlines. American Airlines stated that since I booked with CheapOAir, I would have to resolve it with CheapOAir.
If CheapOAir was the one that initially made a mistake, why am I (the customer/consumer) being penalized?? Whatever happened to the "customer being right"?? I then contacted CheapOAir again and cancelled the flight with a penalty of $50 fee. While informing the CSR my frustrations, I was interrupted with rudeness and stating it was my "fault" and then was hung up. Never was I treated in that way and I would not treat a customer, whom is using the service, in that matter. I'm very disappointed in CheapOAir and WILL NOT recommend to family and friends.
Updated on 02/24/2015:
I am not asking for a refund, but a corrected ticket departing from DFW to Cancun. I first spoke to Anabelle, she was helpful and did best on finding a solution for my situation. We got disconnected after I was being on hold for at least 10 minutes, while she was in contact with American Airlines I, then, called and spoke to Phillip. He asked if I had Anabelle extension number so I can get reconnected, but unfortunately I was not given one from Anabelle. Phillip gave me the option to cancel my ticket or rebooked my ticket with another airline. I chose canceling the ticket for $50 fee, BUT I did not agree to the $200 fee for rebooking using the credit.
While Phillip was canceling my ticket, I explained my frustrations on how I'm being charged for a ticket I did not book and he started being rude and stated it was "my fault" for not checking my confirmation email. While I respond to him, the agent hung up on me, which added more frustrations and inconvenience I am having with your company. I called back and spoke to Tristan ** and asked for a supervisor. I was transferred to Cruze and more frustrations happened as she was rude and did not listen to what I am asking for in return and willing to work with.
I asked for her last name, including an extension. She stated "I only go by Cruze, I have no extensions and no number directly to me." Well then, why did Tristan gave me an extension? Cruze stated that your extensions changes daily. How having an extensions that changes daily help the customers? Before she hung up on me, I asked for a CSR from the United States to personally contact me. She stated I will hear from someone on Monday Feb 23rd between 9am-6pm Eastern Central time.
Today, Feb 23 at 9:30am, I called CheapOair and spoke to Supervisor Nola and explained my issue and asked again for a CSR from United States. She stated that she is trying to connect me, but everyone is "busy". She asked if I am willing to have a CSR contacted me back in about 1-2 hours to be callback number. I agreed. It is 1:17pm... Way past the 2 hour mark and have yet to hear anything.
After being humiliated by your agents, being frustrated and using my own time to correct an error issuing me with a ticket from Cancun to DFW, I believe your company's main goal is to squeeze every penny out of the consumer. I have already spent over $350 purchasing the ticket and then added the $50 cancellation fee and NOW I will be charged additional $200 fee to use my credit on a future airline purchase. All I asked in the beginning was to reticketed to my correct destinations. Now, all I am asking to use my credit of $353.92, without the $200 fine fee, to repurchase my ticket to DFW to CANCUN!!!
If I do not hear back, I am willing to take actions, writing a complaint to Business Bureau along with writing on several social media, making sure NOT to do business with your company. I have yet to feel "satisfied" with my purchase. After looking at other reviews, this is not the first time your company are not willing to work with your consumers, just take money out of them.

We purchased the ticket cancellation insurance so as not to get penalized if we weren't able to go to that meeting. I now discover that purchasing the insurance is a way to squeeze more money out of you. We are now losing over $400 because my dad didn't have his stroke the day we were planning to leave. I booked tickets on Valentine's Day for my husband and I to go to Japan. I looked for a balance between price and the amount of time spent traveling. I selected tickets in which I paid a couple hundred dollars more for shorter layovers. The next morning, we still hadn't received confirmation. I called and checked the credit card. We were billed for the travel insurance but still no ticket came through. I called again the next day. I was told that there was a problem with the credit card...perhaps a limit as the travel insurance had gone through. My husband called his bank and was informed there had been no attempted charges had been made and he had no limit in place. I called back again and was informed that the tickets had expired...then that the flights that CheapOair website had provided could not be booked. I wasn't given an explanation as to why.
At this point, I had already started booking hotels and activities for the trip, so I was locked into those dates. I reluctantly agreed to book different tickets for the same price but they added several hours to the flights. I can definitely make these tickets work but I could have booked cheaper...I just wanted those shorter layovers. What is really disturbing to me is that CheapOair never once called back (after saying they would following each call) or followed up with the multiple emails that were sent. How is it that no one caught this problem with the original itinerary offered by the site for 3 calls and over 2 days? When I asked to make my complaint to management, I was told I would get a call back...still waiting for that call. This has really been a hassle...stressful and a lot of time on hold waiting for answers.

First, my flight (purchased through CheapOAir) from Aeroflot was cancelled and the flight plan changed drastically. I was told I had to contact Cheapoair to get information on the change and to see what options were available. Each time I tried to get information I was told I would get a call back. After 4 days, I had no information. It was not until I called numerous times one day and requested I speak directly to the concerns department that I got information. They tried to book me on a flight with an impossible layover transfer (the flight they wanted me to transfer to in Moscow left FIVE MINUTES AFTER my first flight arrived. I am not equipped with a time machine to make this kind of transfer possible.
When I finally found out I could no longer travel with the changes, I had to request a refund. I was supposed to hear back with confirmation of the refund with 48 hours, but it took closer to 72. I did eventually receive the refund for the flight (from Aeroflot, not Cheapoair). I discovered, however, that a refund for the insurance policy (purchased at the same time as the tickets and applying only them or travel through Cheapoair) was not given. On Feb. 10th I contacted them to request a refund and was told they would put in a request. Today is Feb. 18th and no contact has been made. I spoke with another CSR today who placed another request and said I "should" hear back in 72 hours. I would have to wait for "approval" for the refund and then it could take up to 2 months to actually receive.
I also chatted with a CSR. This chat CSR told me that I would have to contact THEM again in 14 days to see if they "had any info" for me. This is after she did not respond to my chat message for over 12 minutes despite their clearly being a 0 minute wait. She (Katelyn) insisted they had to contact the airline (lie). She was either unaware that I already had my flight refunded (with no penalties), or was just blatantly trying to brush me off quickly. I have also contacted Travelex (the insurance company) and they state I must be issued a refund through Cheapoair. So, now I am waiting and very frustrated with this entire process that has been going on since Jan.

When asking of what option we have, they didn't have much choices. When I did decided to take the option that was given, I was told I'll need to wait for them to email the airline to get approval for changes, which it will take 48 hrs. Finally 48 hrs has pass, did not get any call back from them. Then of course spending on hold for more than 10 mins, finally someone answered the phone, then I was once again told I'll have to wait 24 more hrs.
Ok now that part has past, finally the day come - there has been another changes. Called them on Thursday, was told I will get an answer by following Monday. Called Monday and was PROMISED they will call Tuesday. Now it's 4:00 pm and no answered so I decided to call them and they put me on for more than 35 mins without answer.
Updated on March 19, 2015: This will be my second time writing a report regarding CheapOair. Each time when you call be ready to stay on hold for minimum of 10 mins. before someone answer and put you back on hold. When you ask to speak to the supervisor they find all kinds of way not to let you talk to them. The airline had originally changed our flight and making us stay overnight in a different city than when we 1st want to travel, giving us no options to any other changes than to coordinate our changes to accommodate them. Won't let us cancel our flight and book with different agency. They always come up with some kind of excuses with why our changes are impossible. They take more than 3 days to get back to us with an answer. You never came seem to understand what they are saying.
THIS WILL BE MY 1ST TIME BOOKING AND LAST TIME EVER TO BOOK THROUGH THEM!!!! We travel at least once a year throughout USA and once a year overseas. I wouldn't recommend this agency to anyone. I was dumb enough to believe this agency has good deal but unfortunately I was wrong. Never will I make the same mistake twice. Been dealing with these people for almost a month and nothing has resolved.
When called back due to our original flight is back on schedule and we would like to go back instead of staying over night, the service was refused to us unless we pay extra fees. Why do we need to pay when they are the one who change on us 1st? Do they understand how hard it is to travel as a senior with 2 small young children? Would they be responsible if anything were to happen overseas with all of us? Please be smart and DON'T EVER book with this agency!!! They are not helpful or understandable. Now I just want to get this trip done and over with!

But I have called the airlines directly and booked the ticket. When I have asked this to customer service representative, there is no answer. Customer service representative was always suggesting to cancel and book a new ticket instead of doing the modification. I had a very personal emergency on advancing the dates but they have not provided a very clear suggestion. Finally, I have to call up the airlines directly to block my immediate travel. Secondly, I tried to cancel the ticket with CheapOair.com and got to pay a cancellation charge of 1,000 dollars for no reason except service representative mentioned that there is airline penalty of 200 dollars (100 per person) upfront. There was no clear explanation or suggestion on 700 dollars deductions at first.
Also, customer service representative requested me to pay 200 dollars to process my cancellation. These people are totally insane. They have already got my 2,095 dollars and they are asking me to pay 300 dollars additional to process my cancellation. Bull **!!!! Is this a customer service? Will someone pay for cancellation? Ridiculous. Even you pay upfront cancellation processing fee of 200 dollars, your refund will be processed only after 30 to 60 days. There is no clear way to explaining all these in their website. See how they are so cunning to mint thousands of dollars from customer. 1000 dollars is my one paycheck which I just lost for no reason.
I would suggest, never ever believe CheapOair.com. You will just end up losing the money. My credit card details stored once I do any purchase and they can do charging against your credit card anytime. This is totally unethical business model to store the credit card of the customer until customer explicitly volunteer for it. I used this company in early January of 2015 to book airline tickets for two people return, Toronto to Vegas. I have read about 100 of the reviews on this site and the stories are seriously disconcerting. This review is not in any way intended to make light of other people's experiences. I became concerned about a week before our departure date on February 21, 2015 when I went to this company's website to obtain assigned seats. The software related to that function is a mini scam. It gives you a choice between CheapOair's supposedly secure, advanced software or not. Using their software costs you money per seat. Declining the choice of using their software simply kicks you back out to the first screen to start over. In other words, this function on the website only works if you pay them money.
After declining and deciding to do it directly with the airlines I became concerned that perhaps this entire site was a scam so I searched them online. The number of websites, including this one, containing warnings, horror stories, and categorizations of CheapOair as a scam, was voluminous. Now I was really concerned. However (this is the reason for this review) I am happy to report that the next day (yesterday) I contacted the airlines directly and everything is exactly as I booked it and as confirmed in the email itinerary that I received from CheapOair. The details were exact and the airline had received full payment.
The better news is that the price I obtained from CheapOair was in fact $300.00 cheaper per person than my travel agent was able to find and at least $200.00 cheaper per person than the airlines were offering at their websites. This company's price was at least 40% cheaper than the best price provided by any other site or the airlines themselves for non-stop flights both ways. Of course, bad news could still be waiting when we arrive at the airport in one week, but so far everything this Company did was exactly as promised and completely competent.
My story, of course, does not in any way negate the horror stories I have read here or on other sites but at least my experience brings some fairness and objectivity to all of the negative reviews. Considering how important and risky making travel arrangements online is, it is only wise to stay away from sites that create major problems and are not open and honest, including on their own website. The evidence in the posts at this and other websites suggests that this Company is situated outside of North America or Europe. Therefore, it is more than likely impossible, impractical, or excessively expensive for consumers to make them accountable for any "scams" or "dupes", in any type of litigation. Therefore, be careful. Once you give them your money you may never recover it if they fail to provide the service you paid for.

It took me at least 8 calls and many hours talking and fighting on the phone. At the end they gave two options: buy new tickets or pay the $598. I guess once they take your credit card, they do anything they want.

Recently I booked through this travel agency a flight on TAM Airlines to Salvador, Brazil. Ten days before the date of my departure I broke my elbow and could not fly for medical reasons. I contacted this travel agency which told me that even though I had a legitimate medical emergency and a doctor's note confirming that under advice from my orthopedic surgeon I could not depart as scheduled on the upcoming trip, incredibly, there was nothing Cheapoair could do to secure a refund for me. Even worse was the fact that despite my repeated requests to cancel my upcoming trip to Brazil, representatives from Cheapoair refused to do so.
Finally, on the scheduled date of my departure, and after far too many frustrating phone conversations with representatives of Cheapoair attempting without success to have the representatives cancel my upcoming flight, only after I threatened legal action was my flight to Brazil officially cancelled a mere six hours prior to scheduled departure. I was then told that I would receive an $834.22 refund which represented a $200 penalty for canceling my flight. Even though I believed because of my medical emergency that I should not have to pay any penalty for canceling this flight, I agreed just to get rid of the aggravation of it all.
Unbelievably, a few days later I was contacted by the anti-fraud division of my credit card company informing me that Tam Airlines had attempted to charge $200 more dollars onto my credit card. I called Cheapoair back and learned for the first time that before I was to receive my "$834.22" refund I first had to allow TAM airlines to charge my credit card for $200 additional dollars lowering my actual refund to $634.22 meaning the airline was charging a penalty of $400. At that point I ended all communication with TAM airlines and Cheapoair, in fairness throughout this process TAM Airlines was actually worse than Cheapoair in trying to reach a representative and in trying to get any information whatsoever from this disreputable airline.
Presently I have filed a claim with my credit card company disputing the charge. After listening to what had transpired at the hands of Cheapoair and TAM Airlines, the agent from Chase Credit Card services told me it was the worst case of consumer fraud he had ever heard about and assured me that Chase would vigorously dispute the charge and that it was very likely I would ultimately receive a full refund.

I booked a flight from Orlando direct to Rio de Janeiro on 12/13/14 for a 2/12/15 departure. Today, 2/10/15, I receive a call from Dynamics Airways stating the flight has been cancelled. They go on to state they have never flown to Rio and are a new carrier that flies only to Guyana. I ask why I am being notified two days before my departure but the attendant had no clue why this occurred nor how CheapOair could have sold us a ticket from their company to a destination they do not fly to. I have written to the FAA to inquire if is it not fraudulent for an agency like CheapOair to sell tickets to destinations a carrier does not even fly to? The Dynamics Airway agent said she would refund our money. Stay away from CheapoAir at all costs. The FAA should shut them down for consumer fraud. We had to book a new flight at the last minute at a higher rate and lost one day of travel.

After much discussion I was talked into paying for another one saying the old one would be canceled. Three days later I was charged 3 times for the same ticket plus 143 admin fees plus a 320 agent fee plus overseas transaction costs. A $305 ticket cost me $1100 in the end. Most of which I had to fight to get back. After hours and at least 60 phone calls to cheapoair where they continued to put me through to billings or customer service where not one call made it through without being cutoff. I had to dispute each charge with my bank who got most of it back two weeks later.. DO NOT USE EVER.

I made a reservation to travel from Miami FL to NYC on a specific date, the site unknowingly gave me an alternate date. I right away called to cancel, the rep on the phone told me that I could cancel but it will take 7-14 days for the refund, so therefore I shouldn't cancel and rather make a reservation by them for the date I do want. I didn't want, but the rep drove me crazy I shouldn't cancel, so I asked him if I will be able to cancel my new reservation, he told me, “Yes, within 24 hours you could cancel.”, so I told him if I will be able to cancel I will make the reservation now and will see later if I wanna keep that reservation. He made me a new reservation.
When he finished I asked again, till what time will I able to cancel, he said, “Hmmmm since this reservation is with Spirit airlines, you will have to contact them to cancel.” So I asked him, "Didn't you tell me I will be able to cancel within 24 hours, and only that’s why I made the reservation?” He said, “Well, you will PROBABLY be able to cancel but it will have to be directly with Spirit...” I called back a hour later to cancel and the rep told me same thing, contact Spirit directly. I called Spirit right after to cancel, they told me that they have no credit card for this reservation, and therefore I have nothing to cancel for, since there is no payment for this reservation, the rep assured me, “Don't worry, you have nothing to cancel for.” I called back Cheapoair waited over half hour to reach someone, with no luck.
A few hours later I called back again to be sure that I won’t be charged, they let me wait on hold for about a half hour and said reservation is confirmed and can’t cancel. I told them: 1) I only made the reservation if I will be able to cancel, and the rep who made the reservation assured me so! 2) I called spirit airlines to cancel and they told me I have nothing to cancel for since there is no payment for this reservation so how come you go a few hours later, after I already called Cheapoair and Spirit to cancel and you confirm this reservation?
She put me on hold for another 20 minutes and said somebody will call me back tomorrow. Tomorrow came and I received a email that they tried to contact me and couldn't reach me, which btw they DID NOT CALL ME. I called them back later in day, waited OVER AN HOUR on phone, with no luck to reach anyone. The next day I chatted with them and they told me, that now I am past dated and can’t anyway cancel.....Bottom line: I never ever saw a company being so dishonest, and has such a bad customer service!! I wouldn't recommend anyone to make a reservation by them! STAY AWAY!!!!

I always book online but never encounter such kind of travel agency... Cheapoair is totally a scam. This happened June 26, 2015. Try to browse our airline tickets for the best deal.... I supposed to book our tickets from YVR to Rome to the site we used before. But I change my mind because I found out Cheapoair has the best deal but unfortunately instead of saving money it's a lost. To make my statement shortly...I decided to book it on their site. For all I know me and my husband check properly all the details before we proceed to our booking. So we booked it. I'm so shocked when they send me the confirmation… Why our name is not in order. They totally messed up our booking. I call the next day and I think I talk with this guy from India. I told him about the problem on the itinerary they send to me that our name is not in order the way I'll do it when I'm typing. But he said, “you have to call the airline to correct it.”
So I call the airline. They said you have to talk to Cheapoair to fixed that. So meaning they give a run around to fixed the problem. So finally I call again. I talk to another guy. He said “I cannot change anymore. If you want you can cancel that.” I told him “how can I cancel it... It's already paid and all I want is to correct it.” I told him “I’m gonna talk to the airline maybe they can help me to fixed it.” He's so mad to me and told me “I'm gonna call the airline now...you still gonna comeback to us.” I know it's a total rip off because he wanted me to cancel the tickets instead of helping me how to fixed that problem. I talk to the airline regarding this matter. They said they can fix it but I'm gonna talk to cheapoair for not cancelling the tickets. I told the airline it's not my mistake because it's very obvious my billing name is not the same as what is in the booked etickets...it's not in order.
I was caught in the middle. I DID TRY TO ASK FOR any manager to help me to get a resolution for this ...they never give me a single call. They even cut off the line as soon as you enter the booking no. on the phone meaning they don't give me a no choice but to cancel it. I told him if I do that I will be refunded the full amount. But nope the amount we agreed on the phone is not the same amount he refunded to me. And the guy manage to taken off another $450.00 on my Visa account without my knowing. If he told me that's the amount of the cancellation fee, I rather not to cancel it. Because when I talk again to Air France and ask them for help to fixed it, they said they can help me. Go back again to cheapoair not to cancel the tickets so I go back again. Talk to another idiot specialist…they said it's canceled but actually is not cancel yet when I spoke to one of the airline agent.
I can say this company is really the most worst company I've ever encountered my whole life. They advertised cheap airfare...you’re not actually not gonna save but ripped you off even a single penny out in your pockets. This is the company they advertised. They try to victimized so many people round the globe for their false advertisement. I lost money but this is a lesson to me. Now I'm scared to use online booking again because of what they did to me. Don't try to make business with them. They are cheap company. NEVER GONNA USE THEM AGAIN.....Ever.

CORRECTION ON PAYMENT: I cancelled a return trip for my sister and me from Charlotte, NC to Trenton-Mercer, NJ on Monday, Jan. 26. I made the round trip reservations with Cheap O and flew Frontier Airlines. Due to the forecast super-snowstorm, I had to get home before the storm came -- due to transportation reasons from Trenton and inadequate diabetes medications if I stayed longer in NC. I called Cheapoair and rescheduled our return flight for Sunday, Jan 25 (There is only one flight between Charlotte and Trenton-Mercer on 5 days a week -- no flights on Weds. or Sats.). I was charged $490 in additional fees ($150 penalty + $340 difference in flight costs).
All Frontier flights were canceled on Monday and Tuesday. No Frontier flights to Trenton on Wed. Thursday was sold out. So Friday Jan. 30 would have been the first available had I not changed the flight to Sunday. I called TravelEX for a refund and was told Cheapoair's cancellation policy only covered labor stoppage. I was told the policy covered all cancellations/delays from the New Delhi agent. So instead of paying $345.41 for two adult tickets, I paid $835.31, not including Frontier's baggage and seat charges. I can not understand why I am not receiving a partial refund, when the penalty fees were waived by all airlines, but not Cheap O. In light of the pending snowstorm, I feel I should not have paid the difference in flight costs, as well.

This is my 5th attempt to get some response from CheapOair. I have been phoning (from New Zealand) trying to get hold of anybody at the billings department at various times of our day and night. Every time I get referred to your billings department and every time I get a recorded message. Every time I phoned back and spoke to the customer services people in Delhi of wherever they are, I told them to PLEASE not put me through again, left my phone details to request a call back but this has also never happened. At least this morning I spoke to somebody (in Delhi) who promised me I will get a call back and I really hope this time it will happen. (But please be aware of the time difference as we are a few hours ahead of you and I may not make any sense if I get a call in the middle of the night.)
When we made this booking on the 21/1/15 the amounts of NZD 375.99 and NZD 365.75 were deducted from my Visa account on the 21/1/15. Then it was deducted AGAIN. I phoned your 24/7 service center on the 21/1/15 and were told this is normal practice as the one lot of payments were classed as a “soft” deposit and the money would be refunded in a few days. On my Visa Statement it was classed as a “Visa Hold”. My bank agent informed me that this was not a problem UNTIL it shows as a “VISA PAID” on my statement which then means it has actually been deducted.
On the 26/1/15 I have checked my bank statement again and this time the DOUBLE transaction was listed as a VISA PAID. The amount of NZD 375.99 was deducted twice and so was the amount of NZD 365.75. For 2 adult tickets from Johannesburg to Namibia I have now paid NZD 1463.00 (USD 1061.00) instead of NZD 731.50 (USD 530.98).
I have confirmed with my bank that this money has become an actual deduction from my account and they have recommended that if I cannot get hold of you soon I should lodge a transaction dispute with them and they will take up the matter. I truly hope that this will not become necessary as I am leaving New Zealand in 2 days for South Africa and then this will become a nightmare for me to resolve. This money that is now deposited into your account is needed for my trip to Namibia. I have flown many times but never in my life had as many problems with a company as with CheapOair and I would like to have this resolved immediately.

This complaint does not involve me changing any of the booked flight details. There is nothing I changed on my flight and yet Cheapoair STILL messed everything up. Hours wasted, $60 dollars worth of international calling to sort of the mess. Here's what happened:
I booked a 1 way domestic flight from Koh Samui to Bangkok. It's only a 1-hour flight. Made the booking on their website. Input all my credit card info and Website said "booking confirmed." Got a confirmation email right after stating and I quote "Booking receipt" in the email subject line. Email contained Cheapoair confirmation number, Bangkok airways confirmation number, numerous mentions that my ticket is non refundable, my credit card information stating how much was charged. So you would THINK everything is fine. All booked and ready to go. But NOPE, you are dealing with CHEAPOAIR.
Here's where the problem started. Checked in 4 hours early because I wanted to see some tourist destinations around the airport before leaving. On check-in, the airline could not find my booking, not with my name or the confirmation code provided to me from Cheapoair. What he hell?!? Why send me a booking confirmation email, charge my credit card, then not actually make any reservations for me?!?!!? I did nothing to warrant this, I went through THEIR website, booked the flights, paid, checked in on time. I did not make ANY changes. So I called Cheapoair. They put me on hold, and then disconnected me. Called back, on hold, talked to rep about problem, put on hold and disconnected again!
I was wondering maybe it's the Thai SIM card I was using. So I use the airport landline (which cost me $60 CAD for international call because they put me on hold for 30 minutes trying to figure this out). Eventually they told me that my 7:55 pm flight was all sold out! Really?!? If it was sold out then why the hell would they let me book it, then confirm it through email. Finally after hours of calling and waiting AT the airport check in line they told me they changed my booking to a later flight.
Absolutely ridiculous. Not only were hours wasted on the phone with them trying to figure this out, then they book me a flight 1 hour later. Now 4 hours gone from my vacation, and a flight that was only supposed to cost me $160 is now costing me $220 because I had to sort all this out. And I missed out on 2 tourist destinations I could have gone to if this company wasn't **!

Five minutes after I got off the phone I get an email thanking me for adding flight insurance. No one even mentioned flight insurance. I didn't want flight insurance. So again I call and they said I would be refunded but it would take 1-2 billing cycles to show up on my VISA. Next day my VISA company calls and says that there are THREE charges at over $3,000 each from British Airway, American Airlines, and CheapOair. I told them that I only made one reservation with CheapOair but was travelling on those two airlines. None of the charges matched the total I was charged on the web site.
I AGAIN call CheapOair and was told not to worry, the one charge went through and the other charges were mistakes.. Next day I got an email saying my flights are CANCELLED. Now I am above my credit limit of $10,000 because of all the money CheapOair took off of my credit card. Now I cannot purchase another ticket. CheapOair told me that they would refund me (again) in 1-2 VISA billing cycles. That does not help when I need these tickets now. I am so angry and frustrated and helpless, feeling I want to throw my computer through the window. I will NEVER use them again and please, please DO NOT USE. No happy ending here. Borrowed money to buy new tickets directly from airline. I lost out because I could not get my same flights and so I have 4 more hours of travel than I would have with original tickets. Unbelievable.

She had taken a screenshot of the original confirmation and it showed a little note saying there is flexible departure dates. We called to change it and they would... Only for $200 for changing the flight plus another $200 for the actual flight. So it would be over $800 for us to change the flight. Unfortunately we couldn't just cancel cause it was over ten days and if we were to schedule a new departure flight on the correct day and not take the wrong date flight, it would cancel the flight on the way back. It's wrong the way they do business and we'll never use them again. My advise is to double check the dates and make sure there is nothing weird like the flexible date departure.

A day later, I received an email stating the flight needed to be changed. I contacted Cheapo and was told the layover time did not allow for me to collect my bags. Okay - fair, but why didn't the Cheapo rep I booked over the phone with pick up on this? Any other reputable travel agent or airline would have. And, of course, now they wanted additional money to rebook another flight. Hmmmmmm... I grew skeptical and decided to Google Cheapo for reviews. Suppose I should not have be shocked I found so many bad ones.
What was most DISTURBING (AND IF ANYTHING ELSE, PLEASE READ THIS): if you call TOO MANY times, which I did of course, you will receive a message stating, "I see you have called several times..." Then you will be put on hold for awhile only to hear another message stating "The number you have called is no longer in service." Disconnect. I tried from another phone and put the booking number in only to receive the same messages. I did finally connect with them to cancel my flight altogether, using my husband's cell and going through as if I were a new booking. When I asked the rep why Cheapo was making it difficult for me to get through to them (why I was getting this message), he completely ignored my question and rudely said, "So what do you want to do, cancel your flight?"

January 17th I got an email saying the itinerary for departing flight from BUF may 2nd was changed. I thought I don't have a flight out on May 2nd, I am returning on May 2nd. So I pulled out my paperwork and sure enough they had booked my flight leaving BUF May 2nd and returning May 2nd and yet my car was booked for April 18th to May 2nd. After I called them back re the email, I ended up with $604.00 US penalty fees plus taxes so a flight for 2 ended up being over $1100.00 US.
After numerous calls to cheapoair and United, all I ended up with was $126.00 refund, even the reps at United said why did they not catch that from day one when you booked your car at the same time? A "supervisor" told me it’s on my fingers the mistake and they cannot refund the penalties. Obviously there is a flaw in the online booking process. A normal person would think a warning should pop up both on their end and the customers end asking you to double check your booking because your car and flight don't match but nope they said “why should that happen, people do same day flights all the time” and my response was “and they rent a car for 15 days at the same time for nothing” and once again the "supervisor" said “it’s your fault, you get United to waive the fees to us and we'll waive them to you.” HELLO IT’S NOT UNITED’S FAULT.
I WILL NEVER AGAIN USE CHEAPOAIR NOR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE, THEY ARE RUDE AND DON’T UNDERSTAND LOGIC. I am more than a little angry.

Will NEVER again use this company! I booked round trip passage to England at $749.33 USC and was later charged an additional $209.35 USC for foreign fees! NOWHERE in this transaction were foreign fees mentioned! And after many attempts to have this rectified the credit card company charged me all the same. All personnel dealt with were absolutely not concerned in any way.

I booked a flight for 4 on CheapOair. I guess you get what you pay for. You can't cancel and you can't change the flight unless you pay ridiculous change charges. They want $175.00 a person to change and that is $700.00 for 4 and to cancel they want $125.00 a person and that works out to $500.00. All I wanted to do was change the flight to 3 days later and they charge me change fees and blame it on the airline. When I called the airline they said they don't charge these fees, but it is CheapOair that charges the fees. So we are caught in the middle. Have to keep the original flight or pay huge change fees plus the cost of the increase in the flight. I am rather angry. I will never book with them again. Even the airline lets you cancel.

I called to make a reservation for 2 tickets but wanted to know about my cancellation options. I was told something which sounded reasonable enough by an agent called Domingo. I subsequently called back to cancel on the premise of what I was told initially...NIGHTMARE! 'It's impossible,' I was told 0_0 so I called Westjet who made it clear it's quite possible to modify or cancel the ticket. Cut a long story short, I paid $584.50 for my ticket... after much rigmarole on the phone with an agent, I was told they would deduct $150 cancellation ($75) and taxes ($75). So I was told I would receive a $375 refund. I told them that's still missing around $60. They said 'oh that's service fees and that's also non-refundable' so they basically put me out more than $200 bucks, wasted hours out of my day and left me with the worse travel agent service I have ever experienced. I'll stick to Flight centre next time and I will advise all my friends, family and co-workers to AVOID this company at all costs...literally!

I booked an airline ticket on January 8th, when I checked the same flight the next morning it was advertised for $441. This was cheaper than the original price of $591. I asked to get the $441 flight which had better travel hours. The agent said he could not do that. While I was on the phone with the agent (Dunbar) I was able to book my new flight for $441. He kept me on hold for a long time and was messing up the booking by putting in the wrong dates. When I made my new booking I told him to cancel the old one which he said he did. I received a new booking number and confirmation email. I thought I was set and ready to take my trip. I followed up with my bank to make sure funds were taken out and was told it was not. I then called cheapoair and they said that my booking was cancelled. I told them that I did not cancel my booking. They then lied and said the airline cancelled my flight. I called US airways and they showed that cheapoair cancelled my flight. Now 10 days later I have no resolution and information. They took $23 from my credit card, have please look into this.

When I finally speak to someone letting them know I need to change the flight date, I was expecting a cost of $50 or even $100 to change it but the rep searched the flight for the ORIGINAL booking date and tells me I will have to pay $300+. basically same cost for a one way ticket. In total I spent $900 when it should have cost me $500., called and emailed trying to get supervisor, but of course, they were unavailable. I told them I did not because I have to come back on the day I chose and they told me I could change it back for 800 dollars. This company needs to be shut down. They should not be allowed to treat people this way. The airlines need to refuse to do business with them. If you are thinking about booking through Cheapoair, DO NOT!!!!!!! Well I rec'd a call on 12/23 that I need to come home asap - she is in ICU, called them, got some Indian guy that said I can't change the ticket. And so they didn't have a car for me, they finally found one hours later at a different company. I was downgraded and ended up paying well over double! 2 and a 1/4 times!
After getting home I called Cheapoair customer service. They said they would look into it and get back to me with in 48 to 72 hours. 6 days later I still had no call back. This is the worst online airline to book tickets. You book a flight when you want, then CheapOair moves your flight to 3 days later, because the flight you booked is not available but they don't tell you that. Then they want to charge $250 to change the ticket. They trick consumers. If you don't uncheck a small box, then the company changes the day of flight up to 3 days after you wanted to fly. It happen to me 2 times. My son had to fly back on Sunday to go back to college, but CheapOair says the flight was schedule to leave Wednesday, which I did not book. I have my mom funeral and they change the day of flight to 3 days later after the funeral would have been over. Rude told me to book a whole new flight and take a credit for unused ticket or pay $250 to change it. Very sneaky business practice. NEVER USE THEM. Post cheapest flights that were never available in the first place. Other companies will let you know that a flight is not available before letting you pay.

I booked a flight with CheapOair from Boston to Bali in mid November. I had to repeatedly call over the 6 weeks to get confirmation codes and only received the one for the major leg of the trip (Singapore Air) after several calls two days before trip start. I had separately been trying to work with Singapore Air about seat selection (a medical issue requires aisle seating) but Singapore Air said my ticked arrangement only allowed for seat selection at the gate and that I had to deal with CheapOair about this. I was also told the airline transfers were not complete so my baggage would not be transferred along the way. Every time I called CheapO, there was a different excuse.
I finally decided I could not fly with my medical condition and so many loose ends and tried to cancel under the Compassionate Exception Policy under their "terms and conditions" where it clearly states there would be 100% refund of a CheapOair cancellation for seniors over 65 which I am. Over a three-hour period of holds, I finally reached a supervisor who said this did not apply to flights (even though the language is simple and clear) and each individual airline would have to be asked make refunds, but were not required to. I was given the option of flying (and taking a chance) or forfeiting the $2,138 cost, or not showing up for my flight and being assessed penalties by CheapO.
If only I had read the warnings by hundreds of fliers before I booked. I did not want to risk a personal medical disaster so I forfeited. Shame on CheapOair for being so disorganized and having such poor customer relations and shame on me for not looking at the hundreds of negative reviews before booking with them.

I didn't understand how it's a credit, I paid $398.00 for the flight. I lost $148.00 and had to pay $150.00 in addition to my so-called credit. I purchased insurance with the understanding that if I had to cancel I would be covered, that was not true so again that's another $19.99 I lost out on. So overall my experience was awful. Had to purchase another ticket. Called cheapoair as soon as I got back - 3 weeks ago, sent all kinds of paperwork to get my refund. No refund yet, and no response to my emails. True to my input my husband found that his ticket home was for an alternate date and when we called for a refund they denied it. I then had to get my bank involved at which time they finally agreed to reimburse us. However, as fast as they can take our money, we now have to wait 2-3 billing cycles to have it returned. This company is in a big mess. My story, unbelievable. I try to rent a car for 17 days 8 psgr and did not find, so I rent a car for 12 psgr. I paid insurance and everything. I called Cheapoair to be sure that the car is for 12 psgr they told me no!!! I called to Budget and they said yes. This is only the beginning. Then after 10 days I found 8 psgr car and I received it. I called to Cheapoair and they confirm that the car is for 8 Psgr. Since I know Cheapoair I called this time to ACE and they told me car is for 5 Psgr... So I called back to Cheapoair and they did not want to give my money back (Insurance).
I found other site www.carrentals.com and rent a car cheaper!!! But guess why??? In this site you can cancel and you get all your money back!!! Cheapoair is actually cheating their clients (because it’s Alianz the insurance company that work with www.carrentals.com cancel with no penalty). You can cancel the policy and you get email directly from the insurance company.
This company is very bad. You cannot trust on any information they gave. Stay long from this company. Cheapoair teach me again that what costs cheap at the end can cost you much expensive!!! I want to sue this company. I have the chat with them that confirm car for 8 Psgr and they round me only for the second insurance.

This people are dishonest, liars and all agents are rude! I made a mistake when I bought my TKT to Brazil, giving my single name, instead of my married name as it appears in my American passport. I called American Airlines and explaining it to them; the reservation agent from AA told me that I would not have any problem changing it, with no cost, but I would have to ask CheapOair, as I had bought the TKT from them.
My TKT is: LAX/RIO with a stopover in MIA and the return is: RIO/LAX with a stopover in NYC. I assigned all the seats after I had paid for the TKT, paying extra price for the preferred seats that I bought - only for the Intl legs, MIA/RIO RIO/NYC, again here, although assigning for the available/free - seats as well, for the domestic legs. When I called CheapOair, a very rough talking woman, said that I had to pay $50.00 fee for the service. Of course, was my mistake, they charged me, and then I paid. This change of my name happened 3 days ago.
It was only today, checking my Amex, that I acknowledged the amount that I had paid for the preferred seats, was back in my account. Again, I called the airline, and was informed that I don't have any assigned seat. I went online in my reservation, and for my surprise, the rude and irresponsible woman from CheapOAir, who charged me $50.00 for my name changing, lost all my seats, she didn't hold them while changing my name; so, I lost them, together with $50.00 that I had been charged. I don't have any available seat in the leg of RIO/NYC (that I had already paid before) plus in the leg NYC/LAX - there's no place in the airplane for me.
I went back calling CheapOair. The new agent now, a man, put me on hold for 45 minutes (they do on purpose, for you to give up the call), but I didn't. When finally he came back on the phone, he dared to lie, saying to me that he was on the phone in another line with American Airlines, and that I have a seat assigned with such number, but I could not see it right away. I told him that I was online in my reservation/AA (refreshing the page on and off) in the site, and the idiot keeping saying lies to me.. like I was the idiot one, believing in what he was saying to me. (He even gave me the number of the seat- which I later verified with AA, no seats in my name, confirming his lies!) Who are they don't want to take responsibilities for theirs mistakes! Once they take your money, they don't want to hear from you again!

I booked a multi-destination trip from Cheapoair on December 31, 2014 for $1975 for two people. We were to be going from JFK to Rome and then Berlin back to JFK. I received a confirmation and even the e-ticket in my email within a couple of hours. The next day, (Jan 1, 2015), I received an email from them saying that my itinerary had been changed and I needed to either email them or call to confirm that I was ok with this change. When I looked it over, the only difference was that the layover time had decreased for one of the flights, therefore, the plane would be arriving in Rome about an hour earlier. According to the email, the price was still the same. I had no problem with that, so I called to confirm. In the five minutes from receiving the email and calling, the price all of a sudden increased by $100. The agent tried to get me to agree to the increased price. When I told him no, he put me on hold. He then came back and said that he found another comparable itinerary. Again, it was more money.
I tried to tell him I did not understand why they would increase the fare on me, and all he could say is that the prices are always fluctuating. He then proceeded to tell me that fares are not guaranteed until tickets are issued. Well, I understand that, however, I had already had the e-ticket numbers issued to me. So regardless of the slight change (and really, it was only a slight change), shouldn't my fare have been guaranteed? Plus, the email I received just 5 minutes prior to calling still allowed me to pay the same price. It was after I mentioned this, the agent came back and told me that my selected flight was no longer available and I had to choose another one for more money. At that point I told him to cancel the flight and refund my money. He said he would do that after putting me on hold, again. We hung up, and I thought it would be ok. Well, I got an email that a refund would be processed but only for $27.90 that I had paid to pick my seats. (That amount did get refunded back into my account.) I did not receive an email stating that a refund would be issued for the $1975, so I called them again. This time the person stated that my tickets were still valid, but I was refunded for the seat picking.
Well, duh! I knew that already. He then gave me this whole story about how refunds could take 7-14 days to reach the account. I told him I wasn't calling about the $27.90 that was refunded to me and was confirmed in an email. I wanted a confirmation email stating that a refund would be issued to me for the $1975 for the tickets that he was now stating I still had. After I said that, he said, "oh, yeah, yeah, I see...the tickets are being refunded, it just takes 7-14 days..." I told him I wanted a confirmation email that a refund was being processed. I was told he couldn't do that. Right now, I do not trust that I will even get a refund because he told me that my tickets were still active and then abruptly changed his story. Both agents that I spoke to, in fact, were quite the story changers. Do not use cheapoair. Pay the few dollars extra to use a more reputable site. Because of them, my fun vacation planning has turned into something very stressful and is now completely on hold because I cannot afford to purchase more tickets unless/until I get that money back.
