We tried booking a vacation package, but had trouble submitting information online. As result, we had several packages showing up on credit card the following day. We immediately called Cheapoair to cancel unwanted package. After waiting on hold and being cut off, we finally reached a human who assured us we had only one travel package. We also paid over $300.00 in penalty fees. Now, after eight weeks and over ten calls to the company, we still are being charged $850.36 for extra airfare. None of the service people has returned a phone call even though they promised to call within 24 hours. The reason given by a supervisor named Monita, was she was busy. At one point, we were disconnected after one hour of being on hold. Every time we called, we gave a call back number.

Booked two tickets for my wife and child. After getting confirmation, they cancelled the tickets, after drawing $1000 from my card, because the bank won't let them draw more than $1000 at a time. Trying to reach someone on the phone is an impossibility - hours of waiting, to be transferred to another person who will eventually hang up on you. After one week, still no resolution. Still can't find anyone to talk to.

I booked tickets to India using CheapOair. They charged $1,236 once and then 615.75 and international transaction fee 18.47 2 times for a ticket which should cost only $1,200. We paid $2,504.00. They have the worst service ever and I will report them to Consumer Court of Law of Australia. And I also ask my bank to investigate the whole lot. They have to pay back big time. If anyone can help get me my money back, please call **.

I call them to book the ticket online but the prices online were fake. They booked me a ticket with a different higher price claiming their website was not updated and did not take any responsibility. They declined my ticket after three days saying that credit card was rejected. I called them to confirm my billing details but they keep you on hold for hours. Called them back after the declined ticket email. I talked to fraudulent department complaining and they told me customer service would rebook the ticket. I was being transferred to customer service and after a hold of 40 minutes, call disconnected.

Called customer service to resolve the issue but they informed me ticket is sold offering me a very high price. I demanded to talk to supervisor and I was again put on hold for 30 minutes. I called the customer service for the third time demanding to talk to supervisor, but they never connected me to supervisor. Finally booked my ticket and send me the email for confirmation. After an hour I received card decline email. I tried to call but could not call anyone. On the other hand I had confirmed all billing details and confirmed with credit card company as well at the time of second booking. Lastly I received the final email confirming the ticket. It had been the most difficult ticket reservations I have faced and I am still not sure if this website is fake and fraudulent.

Be careful folks. My advice to this: do not deal with this company at all and don't be fool by their "competitive prices."

Regarding booking number **. I booked a flight from Albany to San Juan in August for a February flight through CheapoAir. Primary reason for early booking? So that my family, including 7 year old son on the autism spectrum, could be together for the 4 hour flight. The tickets we bought were "confirmed" together through CheapoAir for months.

Yet, the day of, the airline (US Airways) gave boarding passes for the 4 hour leg of the trip, both down and back, with my family of 3 broken up. US Airways said they don't guarantee seating. If I knew CheapoAir's "confirmed" seats were a lie, I would have used another, more reputable ticket vendor. The legally defensible "reasonable expectation" was violated. Emails to CheapoAir have been unanswered to date. CheapoAir is a joke; buy tickets from a credible vendor.

July 21, 2014 booked round trip travel from Denver to Taveuni Island, Fiji for January/February 2015, ticketing for my wife and I. This involved 3 flights each way, a domestic flight from DIA to LAX, then a red eye Fiji Air flight to Nadi in Fiji, then a turboprop domestic Fiji flight. Return reversed this same route and final flight was to be Frontier #406, Feb 9, 2015, LAX to DIA. Departing Fiji our bags were checked all the way through to DIA. When we arrived at the Frontier ticket counter in LAX we learned that though our names appeared on the passenger manifest, our ticket numbers were false. Forty-eight minute call to CheapOair failed to resolve this.

My iPhone was shared with Frontier agents so they could speak directly with agent at CheapOair. Frontier supervisor related that only 2 days earlier a couple returning from Australia had identical problem with CheapOair. Fatigued from overnight flight and jet-lagged, and with departure approaching, we paid cash for two new tickets. CheapOair agent kindly provided her full name and email, and instructed me to send photocopy of receipts for the replacement tickets (total $604). This I did following day in PDF attached to email, and she immediately emailed me to confirm that attachment opened and that this had been forwarded to her supervisor.

Since then there has been no communication from CheapOair. I have called several times. Have been told that they have requested refund to me from Frontier, and later have been told they have requested refund to me from Fiji Air. I have told them that my investigation with Frontier reveals tickets at Frontier were never purchased for us and that the airline confirmation code listed on our itinerary can be traced to United Air.

Conversation yesterday, Feb 27th, with CheapOair supervisor, indicates they cannot grasp that contract they wrote and to which I agreed when paying them $4,300 to CheapOair in July 2014 was with CheapOair, not with either Fiji Air or Frontier, and that the contract was for a complete itinerary with tickets for full round trip, which CheapOair did not provide. It was not prorated or broken into fees for individual flights. Refund is due from CheapOair to me, and CheapOair can deal with their subcontractor. Presently await call from "management" at CheapOair. I am preparing a complaint to the consumer protection office of our Colorado AG's office and would seek full refund of the entire amount I paid CheapOair, not just $604 unanticipated out of pocket expenses. CheapOair left us stranded and on our own resources to return home.

I phoned to change my flight to Rome after my sons wedding because the flight I scheduled was too early and we would have missed the post-wedding breakfast. I was told I would lose the money I spent for the ticket and have to pay an additional $50 fee for cancelling the original flight. I asked if I could not just pay a penalty for cancelling and reschedule a more convenient flight. The answer after two hours or more was still no.

This is customer no-service at its worst. My blood pressure went sky high and the best they could advise me is to cancel for $50 and hope my trip insurance would reimburse, so I cancelled for $50. When I attempted to file the insurance, the form was impossible and it implied we would have to be dead or dying to get a reimbursement. So I am out the fare, out the cancellation fee and now I must book another flight. You can bet it will never again be Cheapoair.

I made a reservation going from Los Angeles Airport to Kona, Hawaii on 2/23/15. The flight dates were 6/7/15 - 6/11/15 thru Hawaiian Airlines (The SuperSaver flights). I called and spoke to a girl by the name of Suzie to book the flight on the phone as I was looking at the fares on the website. She pushed me and pushed me to book the tickets for a family of 5 saying that there are only 6 tickets left at the price at that time. She put me on hold for a few minutes and when she came back to the phone, she said the price had gone up in that short time.

So I paid $83 extra dollars than what it was showing on the website. Her answer to that was that the price went up that quickly and that there were now only 5 tickets left. So I went ahead and booked the flight for a total of $3261.20. I checked again today 2/26/15, just to see what the flights were and if they had gone up. Well, the exact flights that I booked had went down to $2944. $300 cheaper!!!

I called CheapOair back and was told that in order to get a credit for the difference. I would have had to call them within 24 hours after booking. This is so horrible, why do you have to cheat people? I should have been given a credit for the difference. I will never use CheapOair again and I will surely advise my friends, etc to not use you. A very dissatisfied customer. JUST HORRIBLE! $300 is a lot of money!

Received email notification that the airlines changed the flight times. I declined the proposed times because I have an autistic son and the new arrival time would set him off. I found other flights that I wanted to change to, so I declined the proposal and for three days everything is locked up. I cannot make any changes online. Using the airline confirmation number, my flights do not exist on the airlines website (I cannot reach the airline by phone either). I've tried numerous times to call CheapOair, but get a recording that an agent will call me directly.

I tried hitting the voice prompt number to ask another question in hopes of being connected with an agent. I'm put on hold listening to muzak and recordings of how great they are only to have a loud buzzing noise come on forcing me to hang up to save my hearing. This happened twice. Today, day 3, I am attempting to use their Live Chat feature. 1st attempt I was connected with Sheryl who asked a few questions, then seemed to disappear. When I typed, "Still there?" she replied, "I am. Please allow me some time." Then, guess what? The connection was dropped and I was prompted to start a new chat. Chat attempt #2, "Failed to connect to server." I am now on chat attempt #3 with an estimated wait time of 33 minutes. I have zero confidence in this company.

I booked a ticket for my husband and daughter to travel from YYC TO DKR via Montreal and Brussels. When they get to the airport the day of travel my husband was told he needs a visa to get to DKR (he was thinking he could get the visa upon arrival which was how it use to be). Anyway the airline let them fly to Montreal where they spend the night and aircanada was nice enough to give them a hotel. I was able to get a pre-enrollment visa that night. So I called cheapoair for a change of flight so they can catch the next flight to DKR. One of their agent Tania told me she could get them on the next flight if I pay $597 which I did.

After making the payment Tania said I will get an E-ticket but after a couple of hours I called Cheapoair and Tania told me she is working on it. She later called me back saying she was not suppose to make the changes to the ticket that's why I did not get the email confirmation and that she is going to cancel it and give me a refund. I now had to buy another ticket for $707 for them to come back to YYC.

A day later I got an email from a lady called Cassie. After I explain to her that they were not denied a visa, the refund was simply from a change a flight that i made, I got another email from her: "We would not be able to send this request over without the documents requested per the airlines request, since you do not have the denial letter I have closed your request on my end." I don't understand why I was asked to provide a visa denial letter. I did not tell any of the agents I spoke to that my husband's visa was denied. I am really pissed cause they should have know the ticket cannot be changed. Cheapoair give me back my money.

Customer was assisted immediately when they contacted us regarding their concern. Because of the time frame it takes to actually receive the refund to ones credit card, this customer blogged that this was not resolved. However, he did receive his full refund 2 days after he posted this, which falls into the time frame 1-2 billing cycles. It was a matter of timing, and customer felt he should of had it sooner. The concern was handled properly and immediately, but unfortunately not to Fatima's expectation.

My boss called CheapoAir to get a quote for a flight. They sold him a very expensive flight and told him it was a great deal. After he gave them his credit card number and before he got off of the phone, he tried to back out of the deal. The foreign guy on the phone told him it was too late to cancel because the transaction had already been processed. This happened at about 7 PM on a Sunday night. On Monday, he told me what happened and that he had paid TWICE as much for the flight as he had if he had gone through the airline. I called to try and get it taken care of because according to ** (Federal Regulations) a consumer has 24 hours from booking to cancel their reservation with no penalty. CheapoAir hung up on me twice after I was on hold each time for over 20 minutes.

Then I finally got in touch with "Calvin" at ext ** who tried to help. He said we would get the whole amount refunded (over $1000) and then sent an email that said we would get $0 refunded but the reservation had been canceled. He said the email was an error and he would send a new one. My mistake, I let him off the phone. No new email, but we did get yet ANOTHER charge from CheapoAir for $25 on our credit card within 2 minutes of hanging up. So, I called back and tried to get back in touch with "Calvin" but he's not taking any calls right now and the guy who did answer the phone has put me on hold for another over 20 minutes. Soon I will have to hang up because I have some other things to do today.

THIS IS QUITE A SCAM. We are calling our credit card company right now to dispute these charges and will be filing a BBB, DOT and FAA complaint as well. WHEN THEY DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU THEY JUST PUT YOU ON TERMINAL HOLD AND HOPE YOU GO AWAY. By the way, I was very polite and not yelling at these people. They just want to keep the money.

I called at around 12:05 PM (US Eastern Time) on 02/22/2015 and I've been put on hold by your agent on hold for over 50 minutes and then guess what? I hanged up. Do you seriously expect someone to wait on the phone for over 50 minutes and expect no answer?

I was told about any human error arising out of the agent would make me eligible for a refund in the entire service fee as well as $50 coupon if I report the error within 24 hours of the confirmation. To let you know, the airlines had made a slight change in the schedule and so when I called your customer care number, the agent on the phone confirmed/acknowledged the change on my behalf. Thereafter, when I got the confirmation, the date of birth was messed up for 2 passengers in that ticket. And that's when I called up again (yes within 24 hours of the confirmation) to ask for correction & refund. The correction was made but then I was put on hold forever when I asked for refund. Through a friend's referral stating that CheapOAir is a great website with awesome deals, I will not conduct business with them again. I booked an American Airlines ticket from DFW to Cancun, yet I received a confirmation email stating that the departure is from Cancun to DFW. I complained to CheapOAir and the CheapOAir CSR stated that I should contact American Airlines. American Airlines stated that since I booked with CheapOAir, I would have to resolve it with CheapOAir.

If CheapOAir was the one that initially made a mistake, why am I (the customer/consumer) being penalized?? Whatever happened to the "customer being right"?? I then contacted CheapOAir again and cancelled the flight with a penalty of $50 fee. While informing the CSR my frustrations, I was interrupted with rudeness and stating it was my "fault" and then was hung up. Never was I treated in that way and I would not treat a customer, whom is using the service, in that matter. I'm very disappointed in CheapOAir and WILL NOT recommend to family and friends.

    Updated on 02/24/2015:

I am not asking for a refund, but a corrected ticket departing from DFW to Cancun. I first spoke to Anabelle, she was helpful and did best on finding a solution for my situation. We got disconnected after I was being on hold for at least 10 minutes, while she was in contact with American Airlines I, then, called and spoke to Phillip. He asked if I had Anabelle extension number so I can get reconnected, but unfortunately I was not given one from Anabelle. Phillip gave me the option to cancel my ticket or rebooked my ticket with another airline. I chose canceling the ticket for $50 fee, BUT I did not agree to the $200 fee for rebooking using the credit.

While Phillip was canceling my ticket, I explained my frustrations on how I'm being charged for a ticket I did not book and he started being rude and stated it was "my fault" for not checking my confirmation email. While I respond to him, the agent hung up on me, which added more frustrations and inconvenience I am having with your company. I called back and spoke to Tristan ** and asked for a supervisor. I was transferred to Cruze and more frustrations happened as she was rude and did not listen to what I am asking for in return and willing to work with.

I asked for her last name, including an extension. She stated "I only go by Cruze, I have no extensions and no number directly to me." Well then, why did Tristan gave me an extension? Cruze stated that your extensions changes daily. How having an extensions that changes daily help the customers? Before she hung up on me, I asked for a CSR from the United States to personally contact me. She stated I will hear from someone on Monday Feb 23rd between 9am-6pm Eastern Central time.

Today, Feb 23 at 9:30am, I called CheapOair and spoke to Supervisor Nola and explained my issue and asked again for a CSR from United States. She stated that she is trying to connect me, but everyone is "busy". She asked if I am willing to have a CSR contacted me back in about 1-2 hours to be callback number. I agreed. It is 1:17pm... Way past the 2 hour mark and have yet to hear anything.

After being humiliated by your agents, being frustrated and using my own time to correct an error issuing me with a ticket from Cancun to DFW, I believe your company's main goal is to squeeze every penny out of the consumer. I have already spent over $350 purchasing the ticket and then added the $50 cancellation fee and NOW I will be charged additional $200 fee to use my credit on a future airline purchase. All I asked in the beginning was to reticketed to my correct destinations. Now, all I am asking to use my credit of $353.92, without the $200 fine fee, to repurchase my ticket to DFW to CANCUN!!!

If I do not hear back, I am willing to take actions, writing a complaint to Business Bureau along with writing on several social media, making sure NOT to do business with your company. I have yet to feel "satisfied" with my purchase. After looking at other reviews, this is not the first time your company are not willing to work with your consumers, just take money out of them.

They try to take more money out and I went to my bank and stop my card. If I had read these reviews before, I wouldn't have purchased my flights through them and lost $255! I would never recommend this company to anyone I know - the people who answers the phone, all they want is your money. They are from India or something and barely speak the English. Just stay away from this ** company.

I know for a fact that they LIED since I called the airline directly to ask for a confirmation and they said that they could not confirm because their partner airline did not confirm. They then LIED to me a second time and said they left a voicemail on my phone. There were NO voicemail on my phone! NO apologies whatsoever. Nothing. I WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD!!! My husband and I booked tickets for a business trip mid-January and my father has had a stroke 2 and a half weeks before our set departure date. Because I will be caring for him, I'm unable to go, so we needed to cancel my ticket. We purchased the ticket cancellation insurance so as not to get penalized if we weren't able to go to that meeting. I now discover that purchasing the insurance is a way to squeeze more money out of you. We are now losing over $400 because my dad didn't have his stroke the day we were planning to leave. In reading the finer print, a death certificate may not be sufficient enough to get your money back. I don't care HOW cheap CheapOair is - they are NOT worth a moment of your time or money.

I booked tickets on Valentine's Day for my husband and I to go to Japan. I looked for a balance between price and the amount of time spent traveling. I selected tickets in which I paid a couple hundred dollars more for shorter layovers. The next morning, we still hadn't received confirmation. I called and checked the credit card. We were billed for the travel insurance but still no ticket came through. I called again the next day. I was told that there was a problem with the credit card...perhaps a limit as the travel insurance had gone through. My husband called his bank and was informed there had been no attempted charges had been made and he had no limit in place. I called back again and was informed that the tickets had expired...then that the flights that CheapOair website had provided could not be booked. I wasn't given an explanation as to why.

At this point, I had already started booking hotels and activities for the trip, so I was locked into those dates. I reluctantly agreed to book different tickets for the same price but they added several hours to the flights. I can definitely make these tickets work but I could have booked cheaper...I just wanted those shorter layovers. What is really disturbing to me is that CheapOair never once called back (after saying they would following each call) or followed up with the multiple emails that were sent. How is it that no one caught this problem with the original itinerary offered by the site for 3 calls and over 2 days? When I asked to make my complaint to management, I was told I would get a call back...still waiting for that call. This has really been a hassle...stressful and a lot of time on hold waiting for answers.

I pressed it just to see if it worked at least but no! It didn't let me choose my seat either. I called customer service and they told me they couldn't open it because they didn't have the map of the plane?? And to call the airline to choose seats. I did call the airline and chose my seats throughout the phone. Fine, but the next day I check my account and I got deducted 29.99 extra!!! Plus another $1 For something that I didn't even get. I called and they didn't have proof of me not getting of what I pay, like if I was the scammer... I just ended that call... What a ripoff!!! So sad...

First, my flight (purchased through CheapOAir) from Aeroflot was cancelled and the flight plan changed drastically. I was told I had to contact Cheapoair to get information on the change and to see what options were available. Each time I tried to get information I was told I would get a call back. After 4 days, I had no information. It was not until I called numerous times one day and requested I speak directly to the concerns department that I got information. They tried to book me on a flight with an impossible layover transfer (the flight they wanted me to transfer to in Moscow left FIVE MINUTES AFTER my first flight arrived. I am not equipped with a time machine to make this kind of transfer possible.

When I finally found out I could no longer travel with the changes, I had to request a refund. I was supposed to hear back with confirmation of the refund with 48 hours, but it took closer to 72. I did eventually receive the refund for the flight (from Aeroflot, not Cheapoair). I discovered, however, that a refund for the insurance policy (purchased at the same time as the tickets and applying only them or travel through Cheapoair) was not given. On Feb. 10th I contacted them to request a refund and was told they would put in a request. Today is Feb. 18th and no contact has been made. I spoke with another CSR today who placed another request and said I "should" hear back in 72 hours. I would have to wait for "approval" for the refund and then it could take up to 2 months to actually receive.

I also chatted with a CSR. This chat CSR told me that I would have to contact THEM again in 14 days to see if they "had any info" for me. This is after she did not respond to my chat message for over 12 minutes despite their clearly being a 0 minute wait. She (Katelyn) insisted they had to contact the airline (lie). She was either unaware that I already had my flight refunded (with no penalties), or was just blatantly trying to brush me off quickly. I have also contacted Travelex (the insurance company) and they state I must be issued a refund through Cheapoair. So, now I am waiting and very frustrated with this entire process that has been going on since Jan.

I have bought 4 tickets to Asia with these people. Got an email on a Sunday stating our flight schedule has been changed. Now we need to layover for more than 12 hrs in a different part of Asia. When asking of what option we have, they didn't have much choices. When I did decided to take the option that was given, I was told I'll need to wait for them to email the airline to get approval for changes, which it will take 48 hrs. Finally 48 hrs has pass, did not get any call back from them. Then of course spending on hold for more than 10 mins, finally someone answered the phone, then I was once again told I'll have to wait 24 more hrs.

Ok now that part has past, finally the day come - there has been another changes. Called them on Thursday, was told I will get an answer by following Monday. Called Monday and was PROMISED they will call Tuesday. Now it's 4:00 pm and no answered so I decided to call them and they put me on for more than 35 mins without answer.

Updated on March 19, 2015: This will be my second time writing a report regarding CheapOair. Each time when you call be ready to stay on hold for minimum of 10 mins. before someone answer and put you back on hold. When you ask to speak to the supervisor they find all kinds of way not to let you talk to them. The airline had originally changed our flight and making us stay overnight in a different city than when we 1st want to travel, giving us no options to any other changes than to coordinate our changes to accommodate them. Won't let us cancel our flight and book with different agency. They always come up with some kind of excuses with why our changes are impossible. They take more than 3 days to get back to us with an answer. You never came seem to understand what they are saying.

THIS WILL BE MY 1ST TIME BOOKING AND LAST TIME EVER TO BOOK THROUGH THEM!!!! We travel at least once a year throughout USA and once a year overseas. I wouldn't recommend this agency to anyone. I was dumb enough to believe this agency has good deal but unfortunately I was wrong. Never will I make the same mistake twice. Been dealing with these people for almost a month and nothing has resolved.

When called back due to our original flight is back on schedule and we would like to go back instead of staying over night, the service was refused to us unless we pay extra fees. Why do we need to pay when they are the one who change on us 1st? Do they understand how hard it is to travel as a senior with 2 small young children? Would they be responsible if anything were to happen overseas with all of us? Please be smart and DON'T EVER book with this agency!!! They are not helpful or understandable. Now I just want to get this trip done and over with!

The screen that explained this just looked like a confirmation screen and the button to click read, "Confirm charges." If I weren't paying attention and would have clicked the confirm button, I would have ended up paying the ridiculously inflated price. But I have called the airlines directly and booked the ticket. When I have asked this to customer service representative, there is no answer. Customer service representative was always suggesting to cancel and book a new ticket instead of doing the modification. I had a very personal emergency on advancing the dates but they have not provided a very clear suggestion. Finally, I have to call up the airlines directly to block my immediate travel. Secondly, I tried to cancel the ticket with CheapOair.com and got to pay a cancellation charge of 1,000 dollars for no reason except service representative mentioned that there is airline penalty of 200 dollars (100 per person) upfront. There was no clear explanation or suggestion on 700 dollars deductions at first.

Also, customer service representative requested me to pay 200 dollars to process my cancellation. These people are totally insane. They have already got my 2,095 dollars and they are asking me to pay 300 dollars additional to process my cancellation. Bull **!!!! Is this a customer service? Will someone pay for cancellation? Ridiculous. Even you pay upfront cancellation processing fee of 200 dollars, your refund will be processed only after 30 to 60 days. There is no clear way to explaining all these in their website. See how they are so cunning to mint thousands of dollars from customer. 1000 dollars is my one paycheck which I just lost for no reason.

I would suggest, never ever believe CheapOair.com. You will just end up losing the money. My credit card details stored once I do any purchase and they can do charging against your credit card anytime. This is totally unethical business model to store the credit card of the customer until customer explicitly volunteer for it. I end up paying 1,000 dollars for no reason. 1,000 dollars is not a easy money. Corporate like these should help customers in cost-effective instead they are making money with no service. Please. I used this company in early January of 2015 to book airline tickets for two people return, Toronto to Vegas. I have read about 100 of the reviews on this site and the stories are seriously disconcerting. This review is not in any way intended to make light of other people's experiences. I became concerned about a week before our departure date on February 21, 2015 when I went to this company's website to obtain assigned seats. The software related to that function is a mini scam. It gives you a choice between CheapOair's supposedly secure, advanced software or not. Using their software costs you money per seat. Declining the choice of using their software simply kicks you back out to the first screen to start over. In other words, this function on the website only works if you pay them money.

After declining and deciding to do it directly with the airlines I became concerned that perhaps this entire site was a scam so I searched them online. The number of websites, including this one, containing warnings, horror stories, and categorizations of CheapOair as a scam, was voluminous. Now I was really concerned. However (this is the reason for this review) I am happy to report that the next day (yesterday) I contacted the airlines directly and everything is exactly as I booked it and as confirmed in the email itinerary that I received from CheapOair. The details were exact and the airline had received full payment.

The better news is that the price I obtained from CheapOair was in fact $300.00 cheaper per person than my travel agent was able to find and at least $200.00 cheaper per person than the airlines were offering at their websites. This company's price was at least 40% cheaper than the best price provided by any other site or the airlines themselves for non-stop flights both ways. Of course, bad news could still be waiting when we arrive at the airport in one week, but so far everything this Company did was exactly as promised and completely competent.

My story, of course, does not in any way negate the horror stories I have read here or on other sites but at least my experience brings some fairness and objectivity to all of the negative reviews. Considering how important and risky making travel arrangements online is, it is only wise to stay away from sites that create major problems and are not open and honest, including on their own website. The evidence in the posts at this and other websites suggests that this Company is situated outside of North America or Europe. Therefore, it is more than likely impossible, impractical, or excessively expensive for consumers to make them accountable for any "scams" or "dupes", in any type of litigation. Therefore, be careful. Once you give them your money you may never recover it if they fail to provide the service you paid for.

Recently I booked through this travel agency a flight on TAM Airlines to Salvador, Brazil. Ten days before the date of my departure I broke my elbow and could not fly for medical reasons. I contacted this travel agency which told me that even though I had a legitimate medical emergency and a doctor's note confirming that under advice from my orthopedic surgeon I could not depart as scheduled on the upcoming trip, incredibly, there was nothing Cheapoair could do to secure a refund for me. Even worse was the fact that despite my repeated requests to cancel my upcoming trip to Brazil, representatives from Cheapoair refused to do so.

Finally, on the scheduled date of my departure, and after far too many frustrating phone conversations with representatives of Cheapoair attempting without success to have the representatives cancel my upcoming flight, only after I threatened legal action was my flight to Brazil officially cancelled a mere six hours prior to scheduled departure. I was then told that I would receive an $834.22 refund which represented a $200 penalty for canceling my flight. Even though I believed because of my medical emergency that I should not have to pay any penalty for canceling this flight, I agreed just to get rid of the aggravation of it all.

Unbelievably, a few days later I was contacted by the anti-fraud division of my credit card company informing me that Tam Airlines had attempted to charge $200 more dollars onto my credit card. I called Cheapoair back and learned for the first time that before I was to receive my "$834.22" refund I first had to allow TAM airlines to charge my credit card for $200 additional dollars lowering my actual refund to $634.22 meaning the airline was charging a penalty of $400. At that point I ended all communication with TAM airlines and Cheapoair, in fairness throughout this process TAM Airlines was actually worse than Cheapoair in trying to reach a representative and in trying to get any information whatsoever from this disreputable airline.

Presently I have filed a claim with my credit card company disputing the charge. After listening to what had transpired at the hands of Cheapoair and TAM Airlines, the agent from Chase Credit Card services told me it was the worst case of consumer fraud he had ever heard about and assured me that Chase would vigorously dispute the charge and that it was very likely I would ultimately receive a full refund.

I right away called to cancel, the rep on the phone told me that I could cancel but it will take 7-14 days for the refund, so therefore I shouldn't cancel and rather make a reservation by them for the date I do want. I didn't want, but the rep drove me crazy I shouldn't cancel, so I asked him if I will be able to cancel my new reservation, he told me, “Yes, within 24 hours you could cancel.”, so I told him if I will be able to cancel I will make the reservation now and will see later if I wanna keep that reservation. He made me a new reservation.

When he finished I asked again, till what time will I able to cancel, he said, “Hmmmm since this reservation is with Spirit airlines, you will have to contact them to cancel.” So I asked him, "Didn't you tell me I will be able to cancel within 24 hours, and only that’s why I made the reservation?” He said, “Well, you will PROBABLY be able to cancel but it will have to be directly with Spirit...” I called back a hour later to cancel and the rep told me same thing, contact Spirit directly. I called Spirit right after to cancel, they told me that they have no credit card for this reservation, and therefore I have nothing to cancel for, since there is no payment for this reservation, the rep assured me, “Don't worry, you have nothing to cancel for.” I called back Cheapoair waited over half hour to reach someone, with no luck.

A few hours later I called back again to be sure that I won’t be charged, they let me wait on hold for about a half hour and said reservation is confirmed and can’t cancel. I told them: 1) I only made the reservation if I will be able to cancel, and the rep who made the reservation assured me so! 2) I called spirit airlines to cancel and they told me I have nothing to cancel for since there is no payment for this reservation so how come you go a few hours later, after I already called Cheapoair and Spirit to cancel and you confirm this reservation?

She put me on hold for another 20 minutes and said somebody will call me back tomorrow. Tomorrow came and I received a email that they tried to contact me and couldn't reach me, which btw they DID NOT CALL ME. I called them back later in day, waited OVER AN HOUR on phone, with no luck to reach anyone. The next day I chatted with them and they told me, that now I am past dated and can’t anyway cancel.....Bottom line: I never ever saw a company being so dishonest, and has such a bad customer service!! I wouldn't recommend anyone to make a reservation by them! STAY AWAY!!!!

I noticed the charge on my credit card bill as a separate charge from the ticket. When I called back to inquire about the charge, the agent declared that it was in the terms and conditions. If I would have known, I would not have booked with them.

To add salt to injury, the new travel date was screwed up by reps that barely spoke English. The offered insurance cover I took earlier was a sham too. I always book online but never encounter such kind of travel agency... Cheapoair is totally a scam. This happened June 26, 2015. Try to browse our airline tickets for the best deal.... I supposed to book our tickets from YVR to Rome to the site we used before. But I change my mind because I found out Cheapoair has the best deal but unfortunately instead of saving money it's a lost. To make my statement shortly...I decided to book it on their site. For all I know me and my husband check properly all the details before we proceed to our booking. So we booked it. I'm so shocked when they send me the confirmation… Why our name is not in order. They totally messed up our booking. I call the next day and I think I talk with this guy from India. I told him about the problem on the itinerary they send to me that our name is not in order the way I'll do it when I'm typing. But he said, “you have to call the airline to correct it.”

So I call the airline. They said you have to talk to Cheapoair to fixed that. So meaning they give a run around to fixed the problem. So finally I call again. I talk to another guy. He said “I cannot change anymore. If you want you can cancel that.” I told him “how can I cancel it... It's already paid and all I want is to correct it.” I told him “I’m gonna talk to the airline maybe they can help me to fixed it.” He's so mad to me and told me “I'm gonna call the airline now...you still gonna comeback to us.” I know it's a total rip off because he wanted me to cancel the tickets instead of helping me how to fixed that problem. I talk to the airline regarding this matter. They said they can fix it but I'm gonna talk to cheapoair for not cancelling the tickets. I told the airline it's not my mistake because it's very obvious my billing name is not the same as what is in the booked etickets...it's not in order.

I was caught in the middle. I DID TRY TO ASK FOR any manager to help me to get a resolution for this ...they never give me a single call. They even cut off the line as soon as you enter the booking no. on the phone meaning they don't give me a no choice but to cancel it. I told him if I do that I will be refunded the full amount. But nope the amount we agreed on the phone is not the same amount he refunded to me. And the guy manage to taken off another $450.00 on my Visa account without my knowing. If he told me that's the amount of the cancellation fee, I rather not to cancel it. Because when I talk again to Air France and ask them for help to fixed it, they said they can help me. Go back again to cheapoair not to cancel the tickets so I go back again. Talk to another idiot specialist…they said it's canceled but actually is not cancel yet when I spoke to one of the airline agent.

I can say this company is really the most worst company I've ever encountered my whole life. They advertised cheap airfare...you’re not actually not gonna save but ripped you off even a single penny out in your pockets. This is the company they advertised. They try to victimized so many people round the globe for their false advertisement. I lost money but this is a lesson to me. Now I'm scared to use online booking again because of what they did to me. Don't try to make business with them. They are cheap company. NEVER GONNA USE THEM AGAIN.....Ever.

CORRECTION ON PAYMENT: I cancelled a return trip for my sister and me from Charlotte, NC to Trenton-Mercer, NJ on Monday, Jan. 26. I made the round trip reservations with Cheap O and flew Frontier Airlines. Due to the forecast super-snowstorm, I had to get home before the storm came -- due to transportation reasons from Trenton and inadequate diabetes medications if I stayed longer in NC. I called Cheapoair and rescheduled our return flight for Sunday, Jan 25 (There is only one flight between Charlotte and Trenton-Mercer on 5 days a week -- no flights on Weds. or Sats.). I was charged $490 in additional fees ($150 penalty + $340 difference in flight costs).

All Frontier flights were canceled on Monday and Tuesday. No Frontier flights to Trenton on Wed. Thursday was sold out. So Friday Jan. 30 would have been the first available had I not changed the flight to Sunday. I called TravelEX for a refund and was told Cheapoair's cancellation policy only covered labor stoppage. I was told the policy covered all cancellations/delays from the New Delhi agent. So instead of paying $345.41 for two adult tickets, I paid $835.31, not including Frontier's baggage and seat charges. I can not understand why I am not receiving a partial refund, when the penalty fees were waived by all airlines, but not Cheap O. In light of the pending snowstorm, I feel I should not have paid the difference in flight costs, as well.

I tried to get my date changed back in order to actually have more than three days with my family for our wedding. I went back and forth with the airlines and the travel company for four hours.

Finally I asked a supervisor to contact the airlines with me to get the mess sorted out. After she had to hold she said there was nothing she could do and to call back on Monday. I refused to take that as an answer, just because she did not feel like holding. The lady then began screaming at me and becoming very aggressive. I asked if I could then speak to her supervisor, where she informed me that the person was busy and unable to talk to me. I said I could hold and wait for the person, she then was screaming at me again and laughed and said "what, are you going to stay on hold all day!" I said "ma'am you realize this phone call is being recorded," and then I asked for her name where she refused to give it to me and placed me on hold AGAIN! This is my 5th attempt to get some response from CheapOair. I have been phoning (from New Zealand) trying to get hold of anybody at the billings department at various times of our day and night. Every time I get referred to your billings department and every time I get a recorded message. Every time I phoned back and spoke to the customer services people in Delhi of wherever they are, I told them to PLEASE not put me through again, left my phone details to request a call back but this has also never happened. At least this morning I spoke to somebody (in Delhi) who promised me I will get a call back and I really hope this time it will happen. (But please be aware of the time difference as we are a few hours ahead of you and I may not make any sense if I get a call in the middle of the night.)

When we made this booking on the 21/1/15 the amounts of NZD 375.99 and NZD 365.75 were deducted from my Visa account on the 21/1/15. Then it was deducted AGAIN. I phoned your 24/7 service center on the 21/1/15 and were told this is normal practice as the one lot of payments were classed as a “soft” deposit and the money would be refunded in a few days. On my Visa Statement it was classed as a “Visa Hold”. My bank agent informed me that this was not a problem UNTIL it shows as a “VISA PAID” on my statement which then means it has actually been deducted.

On the 26/1/15 I have checked my bank statement again and this time the DOUBLE transaction was listed as a VISA PAID. The amount of NZD 375.99 was deducted twice and so was the amount of NZD 365.75. For 2 adult tickets from Johannesburg to Namibia I have now paid NZD 1463.00 (USD 1061.00) instead of NZD 731.50 (USD 530.98).

I have confirmed with my bank that this money has become an actual deduction from my account and they have recommended that if I cannot get hold of you soon I should lodge a transaction dispute with them and they will take up the matter. I truly hope that this will not become necessary as I am leaving New Zealand in 2 days for South Africa and then this will become a nightmare for me to resolve. This money that is now deposited into your account is needed for my trip to Namibia. I have flown many times but never in my life had as many problems with a company as with CheapOair and I would like to have this resolved immediately.

However when I received the confirmation the dates were completely different. The customer service rep said that I chose flexible dates which I know that I didn't because of my work schedule. So all of this was done on January 9th.

They said it would be up to 14 days to receive the refund. I received part of it but I am still waiting for the remaining $352+. Every time I call customer service I get the runaround. I called Friday January 23 and spoke to a supervisor in India who said our refund was next in queue to be processed and we should have it by Monday January 26th. Today is the 27th and we called back again and getting the same answer, "It's been sent waiting for approval." We asked for the supervisor's superior only to be told that James is out of New York and because of the weather he was not available. When we asked for their consumer affairs or formal complaints department they said that they don't have one. I wish I would have looked them up with BBB or Consumer Affairs before using them. This complaint does not involve me changing any of the booked flight details. There is nothing I changed on my flight and yet Cheapoair STILL messed everything up. Hours wasted, $60 dollars worth of international calling to sort of the mess. Here's what happened:

I booked a 1 way domestic flight from Koh Samui to Bangkok. It's only a 1-hour flight. Made the booking on their website. Input all my credit card info and Website said "booking confirmed." Got a confirmation email right after stating and I quote "Booking receipt" in the email subject line. Email contained Cheapoair confirmation number, Bangkok airways confirmation number, numerous mentions that my ticket is non refundable, my credit card information stating how much was charged. So you would THINK everything is fine. All booked and ready to go. But NOPE, you are dealing with CHEAPOAIR.

Here's where the problem started. Checked in 4 hours early because I wanted to see some tourist destinations around the airport before leaving. On check-in, the airline could not find my booking, not with my name or the confirmation code provided to me from Cheapoair. What he hell?!? Why send me a booking confirmation email, charge my credit card, then not actually make any reservations for me?!?!!? I did nothing to warrant this, I went through THEIR website, booked the flights, paid, checked in on time. I did not make ANY changes. So I called Cheapoair. They put me on hold, and then disconnected me. Called back, on hold, talked to rep about problem, put on hold and disconnected again!

I was wondering maybe it's the Thai SIM card I was using. So I use the airport landline (which cost me $60 CAD for international call because they put me on hold for 30 minutes trying to figure this out). Eventually they told me that my 7:55 pm flight was all sold out! Really?!? If it was sold out then why the hell would they let me book it, then confirm it through email. Finally after hours of calling and waiting AT the airport check in line they told me they changed my booking to a later flight.

Absolutely ridiculous. Not only were hours wasted on the phone with them trying to figure this out, then they book me a flight 1 hour later. Now 4 hours gone from my vacation, and a flight that was only supposed to cost me $160 is now costing me $220 because I had to sort all this out. And I missed out on 2 tourist destinations I could have gone to if this company wasn't **!

I called and was put on hold on and off for over an hour with no answer to my question. I called back the next morning and the woman at CheapOair said it was a mistake and ignore it. Five minutes after I got off the phone I get an email thanking me for adding flight insurance. No one even mentioned flight insurance. I didn't want flight insurance. So again I call and they said I would be refunded but it would take 1-2 billing cycles to show up on my VISA. Next day my VISA company calls and says that there are THREE charges at over $3,000 each from British Airway, American Airlines, and CheapOair. I told them that I only made one reservation with CheapOair but was travelling on those two airlines. None of the charges matched the total I was charged on the web site.

I AGAIN call CheapOair and was told not to worry, the one charge went through and the other charges were mistakes.. Next day I got an email saying my flights are CANCELLED. Now I am above my credit limit of $10,000 because of all the money CheapOair took off of my credit card. Now I cannot purchase another ticket. CheapOair told me that they would refund me (again) in 1-2 VISA billing cycles. That does not help when I need these tickets now. I am so angry and frustrated and helpless, feeling I want to throw my computer through the window. I will NEVER use them again and please, please DO NOT USE. No happy ending here. Borrowed money to buy new tickets directly from airline. I lost out because I could not get my same flights and so I have 4 more hours of travel than I would have with original tickets. I had purchased the TravelEx Insurance policy, assuming that it cover things like this. At the time of the event, a rude agent from Cheap-O Air issued an ultimatum, indicating that the change fee could be paid in full or the entire ticket would be voided out. A couple of weeks later we just happened to double check our confirmation and noticed it said we left a day later than we were suppose to. She had taken a screenshot of the original confirmation and it showed a little note saying there is flexible departure dates. We called to change it and they would... Only for $200 for changing the flight plus another $200 for the actual flight. So it would be over $800 for us to change the flight. Unfortunately we couldn't just cancel cause it was over ten days and if we were to schedule a new departure flight on the correct day and not take the wrong date flight, it would cancel the flight on the way back. It's wrong the way they do business and we'll never use them again. My advise is to double check the dates and make sure there is nothing weird like the flexible date departure.

Okay - fair, but why didn't the Cheapo rep I booked over the phone with pick up on this? Any other reputable travel agent or airline would have. And, of course, now they wanted additional money to rebook another flight. Hmmmmmm... I grew skeptical and decided to Google Cheapo for reviews. Suppose I should not have be shocked I found so many bad ones.

What was most DISTURBING (AND IF ANYTHING ELSE, PLEASE READ THIS): if you call TOO MANY times, which I did of course, you will receive a message stating, "I see you have called several times..." Then you will be put on hold for awhile only to hear another message stating "The number you have called is no longer in service." Disconnect. I tried from another phone and put the booking number in only to receive the same messages. I did finally connect with them to cancel my flight altogether, using my husband's cell and going through as if I were a new booking. When I asked the rep why Cheapo was making it difficult for me to get through to them (why I was getting this message), he completely ignored my question and rudely said, "So what do you want to do, cancel your flight?"

So I pulled out my paperwork and sure enough they had booked my flight leaving BUF May 2nd and returning May 2nd and yet my car was booked for April 18th to May 2nd. After I called them back re the email, I ended up with $604.00 US penalty fees plus taxes so a flight for 2 ended up being over $1100.00 US.

After numerous calls to cheapoair and United, all I ended up with was $126.00 refund, even the reps at United said why did they not catch that from day one when you booked your car at the same time? A "supervisor" told me it’s on my fingers the mistake and they cannot refund the penalties. Obviously there is a flaw in the online booking process. A normal person would think a warning should pop up both on their end and the customers end asking you to double check your booking because your car and flight don't match but nope they said “why should that happen, people do same day flights all the time” and my response was “and they rent a car for 15 days at the same time for nothing” and once again the "supervisor" said “it’s your fault, you get United to waive the fees to us and we'll waive them to you.” HELLO IT’S NOT UNITED’S FAULT.

I called to make a reservation for 2 tickets but wanted to know about my cancellation options. I was told something which sounded reasonable enough by an agent called Domingo. I subsequently called back to cancel on the premise of what I was told initially...NIGHTMARE! 'It's impossible,' I was told 0_0 so I called Westjet who made it clear it's quite possible to modify or cancel the ticket. Cut a long story short, I paid $584.50 for my ticket... after much rigmarole on the phone with an agent, I was told they would deduct $150 cancellation ($75) and taxes ($75). So I was told I would receive a $375 refund. I told them that's still missing around $60. They said 'oh that's service fees and that's also non-refundable' so they basically put me out more than $200 bucks, wasted hours out of my day and left me with the worse travel agent service I have ever experienced. I'll stick to Flight centre next time and I will advise all my friends, family and co-workers to AVOID this company at all costs...literally!

I asked to get the $441 flight which had better travel hours. The agent said he could not do that. While I was on the phone with the agent (Dunbar) I was able to book my new flight for $441. He kept me on hold for a long time and was messing up the booking by putting in the wrong dates. When I made my new booking I told him to cancel the old one which he said he did. I received a new booking number and confirmation email. I thought I was set and ready to take my trip. I followed up with my bank to make sure funds were taken out and was told it was not. I then called cheapoair and they said that my booking was cancelled. I told them that I did not cancel my booking. They then lied and said the airline cancelled my flight. I called US airways and they showed that cheapoair cancelled my flight. Now 10 days later I have no resolution and information. They took $23 from my credit card, have please look into this.

I told them I did not because I have to come back on the day I chose and they told me I could change it back for 800 dollars. This company needs to be shut down. You book a flight when you want, then CheapOair moves your flight to 3 days later, because the flight you booked is not available but they don't tell you that. Then they want to charge $250 to change the ticket. They trick consumers. If you don't uncheck a small box, then the company changes the day of flight up to 3 days after you wanted to fly. It happen to me 2 times. My son had to fly back on Sunday to go back to college, but CheapOair says the flight was schedule to leave Wednesday, which I did not book. I have my mom funeral and they change the day of flight to 3 days later after the funeral would have been over. Rude told me to book a whole new flight and take a credit for unused ticket or pay $250 to change it. Very sneaky business practice. NEVER USE THEM. Post cheapest flights that were never available in the first place. Other companies will let you know that a flight is not available before letting you pay.

I booked a flight with CheapOair from Boston to Bali in mid November. I had to repeatedly call over the 6 weeks to get confirmation codes and only received the one for the major leg of the trip (Singapore Air) after several calls two days before trip start. I had separately been trying to work with Singapore Air about seat selection (a medical issue requires aisle seating) but Singapore Air said my ticked arrangement only allowed for seat selection at the gate and that I had to deal with CheapOair about this. I was also told the airline transfers were not complete so my baggage would not be transferred along the way. Every time I called CheapO, there was a different excuse.

I finally decided I could not fly with my medical condition and so many loose ends and tried to cancel under the Compassionate Exception Policy under their "terms and conditions" where it clearly states there would be 100% refund of a CheapOair cancellation for seniors over 65 which I am. Over a three-hour period of holds, I finally reached a supervisor who said this did not apply to flights (even though the language is simple and clear) and each individual airline would have to be asked make refunds, but were not required to. I was given the option of flying (and taking a chance) or forfeiting the $2,138 cost, or not showing up for my flight and being assessed penalties by CheapO.

If only I had read the warnings by hundreds of fliers before I booked. I did not want to risk a personal medical disaster so I forfeited. Shame on CheapOair for being so disorganized and having such poor customer relations and shame on me for not looking at the hundreds of negative reviews before booking with them.

This company is in a big mess. My story, unbelievable. I try to rent a car for 17 days 8 psgr and did not find, so I rent a car for 12 psgr. I paid insurance and everything. I called Cheapoair to be sure that the car is for 12 psgr they told me no!!! I called to Budget and they said yes. This is only the beginning. Then after 10 days I found 8 psgr car and I received it. I called to Cheapoair and they confirm that the car is for 8 Psgr. Since I know Cheapoair I called this time to ACE and they told me car is for 5 Psgr... So I called back to Cheapoair and they did not want to give my money back (Insurance).

I found other site www.carrentals.com and rent a car cheaper!!! But guess why??? In this site you can cancel and you get all your money back!!! Cheapoair is actually cheating their clients (because it’s Alianz the insurance company that work with www.carrentals.com cancel with no penalty). You can cancel the policy and you get email directly from the insurance company.

This company is very bad. You cannot trust on any information they gave. Stay long from this company. Cheapoair teach me again that what costs cheap at the end can cost you much expensive!!! I want to sue this company. I have the chat with them that confirm car for 8 Psgr and they round me only for the second insurance.

This people are dishonest, liars and all agents are rude! I made a mistake when I bought my TKT to Brazil, giving my single name, instead of my married name as it appears in my American passport. I called American Airlines and explaining it to them; the reservation agent from AA told me that I would not have any problem changing it, with no cost, but I would have to ask CheapOair, as I had bought the TKT from them.

My TKT is: LAX/RIO with a stopover in MIA and the return is: RIO/LAX with a stopover in NYC. I assigned all the seats after I had paid for the TKT, paying extra price for the preferred seats that I bought - only for the Intl legs, MIA/RIO RIO/NYC, again here, although assigning for the available/free - seats as well, for the domestic legs. When I called CheapOair, a very rough talking woman, said that I had to pay $50.00 fee for the service. Of course, was my mistake, they charged me, and then I paid. This change of my name happened 3 days ago.

It was only today, checking my Amex, that I acknowledged the amount that I had paid for the preferred seats, was back in my account. Again, I called the airline, and was informed that I don't have any assigned seat. I went online in my reservation, and for my surprise, the rude and irresponsible woman from CheapOAir, who charged me $50.00 for my name changing, lost all my seats, she didn't hold them while changing my name; so, I lost them, together with $50.00 that I had been charged. I don't have any available seat in the leg of RIO/NYC (that I had already paid before) plus in the leg NYC/LAX - there's no place in the airplane for me.

I went back calling CheapOair. The new agent now, a man, put me on hold for 45 minutes (they do on purpose, for you to give up the call), but I didn't. When finally he came back on the phone, he dared to lie, saying to me that he was on the phone in another line with American Airlines, and that I have a seat assigned with such number, but I could not see it right away. I told him that I was online in my reservation/AA (refreshing the page on and off) in the site, and the idiot keeping saying lies to me.. like I was the idiot one, believing in what he was saying to me. (He even gave me the number of the seat- which I later verified with AA, no seats in my name, confirming his lies!) Who are they don't want to take responsibilities for theirs mistakes! Once they take your money, they don't want to hear from you again!

I booked a multi-destination trip from Cheapoair on December 31, 2014 for $1975 for two people. We were to be going from JFK to Rome and then Berlin back to JFK. I received a confirmation and even the e-ticket in my email within a couple of hours. The next day, (Jan 1, 2015), I received an email from them saying that my itinerary had been changed and I needed to either email them or call to confirm that I was ok with this change. When I looked it over, the only difference was that the layover time had decreased for one of the flights, therefore, the plane would be arriving in Rome about an hour earlier. According to the email, the price was still the same. I had no problem with that, so I called to confirm. In the five minutes from receiving the email and calling, the price all of a sudden increased by $100. The agent tried to get me to agree to the increased price. When I told him no, he put me on hold. He then came back and said that he found another comparable itinerary. Again, it was more money.

I tried to tell him I did not understand why they would increase the fare on me, and all he could say is that the prices are always fluctuating. He then proceeded to tell me that fares are not guaranteed until tickets are issued. Well, I understand that, however, I had already had the e-ticket numbers issued to me. So regardless of the slight change (and really, it was only a slight change), shouldn't my fare have been guaranteed? Plus, the email I received just 5 minutes prior to calling still allowed me to pay the same price. It was after I mentioned this, the agent came back and told me that my selected flight was no longer available and I had to choose another one for more money. At that point I told him to cancel the flight and refund my money. He said he would do that after putting me on hold, again. We hung up, and I thought it would be ok. Well, I got an email that a refund would be processed but only for $27.90 that I had paid to pick my seats. (That amount did get refunded back into my account.) I did not receive an email stating that a refund would be issued for the $1975, so I called them again. This time the person stated that my tickets were still valid, but I was refunded for the seat picking.

Well, duh! I knew that already. He then gave me this whole story about how refunds could take 7-14 days to reach the account. I told him I wasn't calling about the $27.90 that was refunded to me and was confirmed in an email. I wanted a confirmation email stating that a refund would be issued to me for the $1975 for the tickets that he was now stating I still had. After I said that, he said, "oh, yeah, yeah, I see...the tickets are being refunded, it just takes 7-14 days..." I told him I wanted a confirmation email that a refund was being processed. I was told he couldn't do that. Right now, I do not trust that I will even get a refund because he told me that my tickets were still active and then abruptly changed his story. Both agents that I spoke to, in fact, were quite the story changers. Do not use cheapoair. Pay the few dollars extra to use a more reputable site. Because of them, my fun vacation planning has turned into something very stressful and is now completely on hold because I cannot afford to purchase more tickets unless/until I get that money back.

Didn't know my daughter's schedule for sure, but when I looked at Cheapo Air there was a Sunwing flight available, and the screen had big bold red copy that said "Free Cancellations", so figured I couldn't go wrong by grabbing the ticket at that fare and then could change or cancel if necessary - knew there would probably be a fee involved. Surprise, Cheapo Air, (after numerous calls, some of which they just hung up on me) tells us that it can't be changed or cancelled and that the "Free Cancellation" (which I had taken a screen capture of) meant that I could change it WITHIN 4 HOURS of booking it. Really. Like that's reasonable. So now they told us that we will just have to forfeit her flight - take it or don't take it but there isn't even an option to change, even with a change fee.

As a last resort we called SunWing, because we saw on here another review where United Airlines let someone change when Cheapo had told them no - and this was a class act. While we were on hold as the SunWing rep "checked with Cheapo Air", my cell phone rang with call from Cheapo saying that Sun Wing asked them to tell us again that it was non changeable, non refundable and at same time Sun Wing hung up on me. Won't use either of these providers in future - really wish I had read these reviews beforehand.

I bought a round trip ticket from Kentucky to Dulles, Virginia (Dec 21 to Dec 28). But for the return flight, I made a mistake and booked for Jan 28, 2015 instead. I called the agency on Dec 25 to change my flight and they said the total extra charge would be $550. I told them it's nonsense because it would cost less if I were to buy another round-trip ticket. The agent told me that's not possible and the deal he's offering was the best. His manner drove me mad "You can pay $550 for the date change or you can catch your flight next month." I hung up, then I went on United Airline official website and changed the flight myself, and it cost me $34 + $200 penalty. Cheapoair apparently tried to rip off its customer, especially ones who are not familiar with technologies, they are forced to pay more just because they have no other help. I feel sorry for those who didn't know what to do and fell for this dirty, cheapo trick.

I booked a ticket with Cheapoair online to travel ADL-MEL-ADL on JETSTAR in November 2014. Total ticket cost as confirmed by Cheapoair was for AUD 255 but strangely enough my credit card was charged twice: the first time by JETSTAR for AUD 255 followed by another charge by Cheapoair for US$ 123.96. Have requested my bank to file a dispute against Cheapoair for the additional unauthorized charge of US$123.96. They turned it down.

I bought a ticket from Tokyo to the Gold Coast (in Australia). It was for USD173.91. They charged me over USD 900.00 on my credit card. I opened up a dispute with my credit card company, and called CheapOair (and JetStar, the airline conducting the flight), and staff at CheapOair told me I would be refunded the 700 odd dollars I was over-charged. This didn't happen for 3 months. I had to call my credit-card company and redispute the amount, and call CheapOair several more times, with no guarantee that I would get the money back any time soon. I made screen-shots of all the correspondence I was given by CheapO, and forwarded that to my credit card company. Thankfully, as of December 24th, the refund has posted. I will never use their services again, and I don't understand how they can stay in business with their lack of professionalism. I'm also canceling my credit-card, because they were lazy and ineffective at conducting their investigation during the dispute process.

The airline had changed the first leg of my flight to leave later, arriving in Miami 2 hours AFTER my next flight was to depart for Chile. Cheapoair did not notify me nor did the airlines. The airlines said I had to go through Cheapoair to get new flights. On Saturday, the Cheapoair rep was rude and unhelpful. They are based in Delhi. I was put on hold many times, refused a supervisor, and finally told to call back Monday (they don't even answer the phones on Sunday). On Monday after many holds, the rep had it fixed and said I would get an email on Tuesday. No email on Tuesday and the LAN airline site still had me on the original schedule. I then talked with a Cheapoair rep who said nothing had been fixed but that he would fix it. He took my number in "case we get cut off". We got cut off and he never called back. I am now on hold with another rep who says she has it fixed and put me on hold to confirm with LAN air. We will see. I will NEVER use these guys again!

Granted he should have looked at the details but his English is not perfect. They should have advised him otherwise. They have zero common sense. When we called to have this corrected they put us on hold for a LONG TIME until we decided to hang up and book a separate flight. The service here is terrible and all they care about is making a dollar, not the customers' comfort. Book directly with the airline or a more reputable site. I should have read reviews about CheapOAir prior to purchasing a ticket; however, I didn't raise questions until this evening. I purchased a ticket last night which was quoted at $133.09 and $14 or so for the travel insurance. Considering I am traveling from Dallas, I opted for the insurance. This evening, I received a rather odd email stating that an additional charge was being placed on my card for an amount that was not originally charged for taxes and fees. I didn't receive a confirmation email immediately and had to manually go and request the receipt to be sent to me. So when I checked the email and this is when I noticed... more than I was supposed to pay was authorized. Yet last night, the correct amount was authorized. So, I was immediately confused about what happened.

I went to Spirit's website to confirm if I had a reservation and see what the price was. On Spirit's site, the original amount I was aware of is what they reflected which included all taxes and fees. Now, I am trying to reach a representative from CheapOAir to resolve this issue, but I am unable to get to someone. 1st call - I was on hold, then all of a sudden a loud screeching sound. 2nd call - The phone rang for me to speak to the next representative, then all of a sudden "the number you are calling is out of service, please check the # and try again" message came on. 3rd call - I just finished with a representative who wasn't able to assist me. Rather he asked if I could call the billing department in the morning.

Luckily ALL of my phone calls are recorded to ensure I am not being hoodwinked by any company. I really do hope that this was an error and that my issues will not be taken likely. I am giving a 2 star for the inconvenience of having to do this, the errors, and the fact that nothing has been resolved yet. I will change my review if anything changes. I am currently giving a 2 star review.

I posted a complaint previously about the high cost of changing my flight this week. They responded and promised a $50 refund because it was a legitimate cost considering the time frame. I had booked online myself and it was my own fault it didn't realized my flight was booked over two days instead of all on one. It was an expensive lesson to learn to check my reservation more carefully. I had only been looking at the times and not the days. If I had noticed within 24 hours of making it, they could have done more for me. Again, a warning for everyone booking online. Check your layover times and days for your reservations. There is no tolerance for mistakes.

I booked a flight for what I thought was Dec. 24 arriving in the afternoon. Yesterday when I finally looked again to verify the times, I found that they had booked me for a layover in Chicago overnight and that I wouldn't arrive until 3:30 on Christmas Day! When I asked to change it all to the same day, he told me it would cost an additional $700. If I flew on the morning of the 25th and arrived in the afternoon, it would only add $400 to my ticket. (I had already spent $500 on this ticket) Finally I asked to book on a different day, and they found me one that only added $350 to my $500. Be very careful of their reservations, lest they book you over two days instead of all on one day. I never even thought to check this since I had searched for departure only on the 24th. I tried canceling the whole thing but they wouldn't do that either since it was made 20 days ago. I even explained that it was due to confusion on their website, but they wouldn't help me. I will never use this website again.

So I paid for a ticket for $940 to fly to the Netherlands. When I arrived at the airport, I was told my booking was for different dates. I called hoping to get help from a CheapOair representative only to talk to several different foreign representatives. They told me they could re-book my flight but I would have to pay the difference between my original and the new one. Because I would have to leave that day, I knew it would be expensive and when I heard the cheapest ticket I could get was $2,300, I had no choice but to accept as my meeting would occur the next day. I asked several times if the cost I would be charged on my credit card would be $1,360 as that would be the difference between the two tickets. Every time I was told yes, so I agreed and he said he would purchase it.

After I checked in, I received a call and another man told me that the ticket had raised in price $300 at the last minute and so I would get charged $1,660. Furious already, I told him it was unfair but he said I had to talk to another representative. I had no time as I was getting on a flight so I hung up and figured I'd do it later.

I then find a charge for around $2,650 on my card and immediately call them demanding they forgot to remove the $940 they had said they would. I get an excuse that he can't deal with it, so he sends me to another representative who gives me another billing screw-up excuse. After over 7 calls to different people in billing, customer representation, booking, and resources all ending up nowhere, I demand they connect me to the billing department in the States. I was told they didn't have the number, so I said they will be looking at a lawsuit and within a minute, I was on the phone with the billing department in the United States.

She told me the booking agent actually bought a $3,500 ticket from the States to Amsterdam and that the $940 had already been taken off. This was beyond enraging. However, I could not do anything about it except to say he had told me several times that the charge I would get on my card would be around $1,300. She said they will look into it and I would get a call in a couple of days. It's been over a week and I still haven't gotten a call but it was too much of a hassle to keep trying. NOTE: I gave this experience 2 stars instead of 1 only because after the incident described here, I called CheapOAir back to register my complaint about their faulty web site, and the customer service rep listened very empathetically to my ordeal, and offered the opp to call him directly for a discount if I choose to try their service again. Very nice. Here's my story:

In November 2014, I was looking for the best price on an airline ticket I had to buy with only 3 days notice in order to attend a funeral. I used Kayak, which showed CheapoAir as an option. Once connected to CheapoAir's list of airline/ticket options, I found the lowest cost airfare on a US Airways flight, and gave all my credit card info to book the flight. After I had input all my info and expected a flight/purchase confirmation, instead I was taken back to the flight listing page and an error message consisting of a small line of text in red at the top of the page said the flight/fare I selected is no longer available and to search again. So I searched the available flights again and the same flight showed up in the search results, so I figured the error message must have been a glitch, so I purchased the ticket again.

After I once again input my credit info, the same error message showed up again, and when I searched the results again, the same low cost flight showed up, so in case the error message was in fact a glitch, I tried purchasing the flight one more time -3x in all. When the error message showed up again, I gave up and ended up buying the same US Air ticket for about $30 more via American Express travel service.

The real nightmare didn't happen until 3 weeks later when I discovered my credit card had 3 pending charges from US AIR for the unconfirmed air ticket I attempted to purchase via CheapoAir, and those pending charges were preventing me from using my credit card for holiday shopping. It took me several hours worth of phone calls between Cheapoair, US Air, and my credit card company to get this matter resolved. I feel CheapoAir robbed me of my time and energy due to their faulty web site operation.

Oh and every time they need to do something, they put you on hold a minimum of 10 minutes. 15 minutes to charge my card, 10 mins to look up flights, 10 mins to retrieve your booking credit, 10 more mins because you ask them to search other dates and when they come back they all of a sudden have a cheaper rate. Anyway I am pretty sure they take other calls when they put you on hold and also think they inflate the pricing for rebooking flights. So I called on December 1st, 2014 and Rafea (not sure if I spelled it correct) was the customer service representative that was assigned to me. I would like to start by saying that by far the worst customer service and by far the worst customer representative I have ever talked to or come across. I had called on my brother's behalf and wanted to know what is the process to CANCEL the ticket and get a full refund, which was not explained to me correctly. My brother is schedule to travel in January but due to family emergency he has to travel now and this was explained to the Rep and all I said was please explain me the process of cancellation and full refund of the ticket. To which he responded, “You can't cancel the ticket. We can give a credit for future.” To which I said, “Ok but I have insurance on this and this is a family emergency I need to cancel the ticket.”

Rep, “For that you have send 'A lot' of documents to the insurance company and they will send it to Lufthansa.” I asked “What kind of documents?” And all he kept saying was, “A lot like a lot.” I said, “You mean medical reports?” To which he again said “Yeah” and then “A lot of documents.” Never explained what kind of documents. The conversation went on. Every time I asked a question his tone (which he threatened me that this conversation is recorded so please hear that conversation) made me feel guilty as to why I am asking a question. I asked him to repeat something for me. He said, “Why you didn't hear?”

I also said “Rafea, if you don't like your job quit don't take it out on me. Let me tell you one thing. If you are in the service business you don't no matter what you don't talk to anyone like that." Anyway continuing there came a point where he asked for my authorization to charged $50 for cancelling the ticket, which as per our conversation I thought was the only way since no information was provided about the insurance company and how to go about that so I did authorize.

After I asked few more questions to which I was made to realize that why am I even asking questions. As the conversation went ahead I asked "is there any way to get a complete refund of the money" and then after he charged me the 50 bucks he said, “Yes you can call the insurance company and here is the number.” Then I told him that “If you haven't yet charged the 50 bucks please hold that so that I can talk to the insurance company first and see what they can do.” Before I could even complete my sentence, this is what he said: “YOU ARE A CONFUSED PERSON AND YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.”

I am sorry this is how CheapOair train their professionals to be so unprofessional and talk to customers like this. He also said that he doesn't care what I say now and if I want to escalate I should and HUNG up the phone on me. Seriously the worst customer service ever. Well I printed yesterday Dec 2, 2014. I saw that there an error - it was reverse from San Juan to Philadelphia. I email and no answer. So I called and how is it that they are charging me 200 dollars more and I paid insurance. I’m ok if I have to pay a fee of 50 but 200 - it’s like buying the ticket again. Mad and hurt at the same time. 285 X'mas present to CheapOair and then these guy from India really rude. Well this is my story.

My wife and I booked 2 sets of flights on Cheapoair.com. One set of flights was a really good deal in comparison to other websites. The Cheapoair fraud team contacted my wife stating that they suspected the credit card she used was being used by someone other than the owner & cancelled the good-priced tickets. Cheapoair bombarded my wife with emails & did not respond to a single one of her responses. It took over 4 phone calls from us to their American hotline which was actually either in India or the Philippines judging by the accents to verify whether the flights had been cancelled or are still in place. These calls cost us approximately US$40.

In the end Cheapoair just simply cancelled flights. They did return the money we paid them. However we are out of pocket US$40 in phone calls and now have to find flights again 7 days later and prices have gone up again. It looks like Cheapoair's rubbish service will cost us a total of US$350. Their customer service only thought that our 'good deal' flights were fraudulent. Convenient isn't it? Will never use them again & strongly advise other web users to avoid Cheapoair where possible.

Now that the issue has been addressed by the company, I wanted to write about how I felt about it. Ram ** from Cheapoair contacted me to discuss the issue and was very humble and helpful. Despite my busy schedule, he tried to reach me multiple times and went above and beyond to resolve the issue. Though I did not get all the money back but he was able to refund me the tax money of around $675 (I had paid about $1500 for the cancellation charge).

I had read reviews about how Cheapoair does not respond to you on time, but I found it different after dealing with Ram. He was on top of everything and very punctual and detail oriented. I thank him and the company helping me resolve this issue. I will be emailing to insurance company for the remaining amount.

I was overall happy about how things were handled and all the credit goes to this nice employee who made sure that this was taken cared of. Thanks again!

So I booked three tickets for my family in July of this year. Unfortunately, one of my family member's bag including passport was stolen in a shop. They looked everywhere, filed a police report and published it on the newspaper. So we had to cancel the tickets. As I had bought an insurance, I was assured that it would be covered as I was charged $1517 as a cancellation fees and others and $240 for insurance. Now when I applied for claim, they got back to me telling that the police report says that it was lost in a shop and it does not say that it was stolen and so cannot process the claim. I called them and explained what had happened, they are not moving a bit. I don't know what to do. It is a legit loss and I lost a lot of money. What is the point of getting an insurance if they don't insure when passport is lost. Please suggest me what to do. I have never taken an attorney and I don't think I can afford one. Thank you for your response in advance.

I booked a one way flight to Texas. Basically everything went okay for that. The price was okay and the flight was all good. My complaint is that when I was on their website and made this reservation, there was this pop-up box that said "click here" for a $50 rebate on the reservation you made. Of course out of curiosity I clicked on it. Next thing I know I am answering a few questions and then told to call a number to find out how to go about getting the rebate. So when I called the number, I got some guy with very broken English trying to talk me into signing up for this program called "Great Fun" and that they would be charging me $1 to sign up and blah blah blah. But I could cancel this membership and still receive my rebate if I cancelled within 30 days (trial period).

I never received anything from them. They were suppose to send me something in my email and never did. I then called them about this and the guy this time said "ok we will send it to you via regular mail. Please confirm your home address." So I did and he kept getting off the subject of the rebate and kept asking for my credit card info. But I told him I don't want to give that to you unless this is a guarantee that I can still get a rebate. Anyhow I gave it to him and I have been charged the $1. However in the meantime, they called me and left a message on my phone. So I called back and next thing you know I am talking to a lady that I had to keep saying "huh? what did you say?" I also had some questions because all of a sudden this whole sales pitch was getting very confusing and everytime I asked her a question about what she was saying she had a bad attitude. So I told her, "you are being rude and if you want credit card info from me, I have more questions first and either you answer them or I am going to forget this." I kept asking about the rebate and she would just say, "yea yea yea, I already answered and told you yes that you would get the rebate even if you cancelled your account."

Finally she calmed down her rude attitude a bit and said "OK now you have to speak to the supervisor to confirm." All in all he was also rude and I even cursed at him a little. Then we kept getting cut off. So at that point I ended up talking to this guy and he was a little better but I warned him I had questions about the whole ordeal and he answered them basically nicely and he reassured me several times that even if I cancelled I could get my rebate. So about a week or so later I got their package in the mail. I got two of them, same account number. But I wanted to cancel right away because I knew I wasn't going to really want to be in this program. But once they got me on the phone, they manipulated me and they lie to people.

I went onto the website to check it out and I checked out people's reviews and found out this company is BS. It is funny while reading the reviews, I totally related to the complaints and I found out now what is going to happen to my bank account if I don't do something. Another words I am going to have to change my card number because apparently this company has been getting away with stealing people's money and making it hard for people to cancel even if it is in the right amount of time. I don't know how they are still running this business and getting away with it, but they need to be shut down. They are not legitimate because they lie to people and then rob their bank accounts. People that down check their statements with a fine tooth comb are getting robbed every month and in some cases twice a month and have been being charged over and over for things they didn't even get.

The reason I am putting this on Cheapo Air is because Cheapo Air lets them pop up on their website and I just found out that Cheapo is based in India. Hello??? I am sure that is where that Great Fun company is from, at least their employees all sound like they are from there. It sounds to me like they are in Cahoots with each other and I am not giving Great Fun or Cheapo Air another penny, because I feel there is really something happening there that is not right. I will not ever refer this company or the other to anyone and I quite frankly hope that both of these companies fail. What I can't believe is how in the hell they get away with this nonsense. It is fraud, robbery, stealing and completely dishonest. In fact I am filing a case with the BBB and we will see what happens.

Last spring I booked a trip to Italy for my friend and I. The flights cost more than $2,000. A few months later, my mother fell very ill and I had to delay my trip. CheapOAir assured me that for a fee per ticket, I could rebook my flight for the following spring so I paid a cancellation fee and moved my trip. However, once my mother was out of the hospital and I tried to book my flight, they told me that I did not have a credit. After calling over 50 times, chatting, emailing and being transferred to supervisors, they told me that Aeroflot was denying my tickets. SO I contacted Aeroflot (who had not even talked to CheapOAir and showed that my credit was ready for use). My trip came and went (I had to book flights through another company because CheapOAir just constantly ignored my requests).

I tried to contact them once again for another trip I was planning to London and at this point, they told me that I cannot use my credit because it EXPIRED. After refusing to let me use it when it was valid, they denied it for being expired. I emailed this company (spoke with Lucas and have documentation of my efforts) and spoke with several supervisors who ALL assured me that they would get my credit sorted out. Still haven't heard anything from anyone and yet again I have to purchase new tickets through a respectable travel agency instead of using my 2 thousand dollar credit that CheapOAir has just kept for themselves ILLEGALLY. I am currently working with an attorney to get a refund for this amount and am suing CheapOAir for fraud. Do not use this company for any reason. After these lawsuits are complete, they'll be bankrupt anyway.

(You can drive in that time frame, and have hours to spare.) After expressing this several times to "Kelly" she went ahead and booked the flight for my Mom. A few days later Mom prints out her itinerary and she's booked on the 4 flights 8 1/2 hour return ticket! It's now too late to cancel with the airline, and CheapO is being unhelpful! CheapOair has made my life hell. One of the flights I was booked on, back from Qingdao in China was non-existent. Consequently, as a languages student from the UK, this meant I was left me stranded in a country I was unfamiliar with. Upon informing the staff about this issue, to put a long story short, they basically in a very 'shifty' manner blamed the problem on the Airline and some sort of 'mix-up', they were eager to hang up instead of making everything clear for me and providing a solution.

CheapOair also recently took money out of my account for tickets I bought almost a year ago. Once again, when I asked them for an explanation, in a very shifty and robotic manner, they gave minimal explanation and told me to forward the help team an e-mail with said problem. Predictably of course, they never replied. I am currently trying to deal with the many problems caused by CheapOair, many have left me in dangerous financial situations and have caused me excessive stress.

I called to tell them they had double charged my card when they changed my dates. They told me that is the way they do it. Of course we call the agents of cheapo airlines and they were just the worst. Not helpful at all. The agent instantly was rude and did not give us any solutions AT ALL. We sat at the airport and subsequently called 5 others agents - 2 of who hung up and the remaining put us on hold for at least half an hour. The WORST customer service. Additionally, they absolutely refused to give us a refund - we got $0 dollars on a $1800 ticket. This is considering we had a family emergency and they absolutely did not help us at all. I would recommend you book your flight through another agent even if you have to pay a lot more. Good luck.

    Updated on 03/16/2015:

So after being on the phone for 5 hours, the company gave us a credit on a reservation we had to cancel. So now my husband and I are currently on the phone trying to use this credit. We have been on hold for 2 hours. Yes 2 hours. Initially the customer service rep "**" who refused to give us her full name or any identification out-rightly refused to acknowledge the credit even existed! When I asked her several times to re-check her facts she admitted that yes there was a credit available. Finally we were through the first hurdle.

Next she gave us the worst rate round-trip to Hongkong. The Air Canada website with taxes and fee rate was $706 each and she gave us a rate of $1300 each! After I then called her out (again) on her rate, she again put us on hold for 45 minutes and comes back with a rate comparable to the Air Canada website. At this point, this customer service rep had lost all credibility considering she kept changing her facts.

Finally, although she offered us a comparable rate to Air Canada, she now wants to charge us a change fee of $300 each - which is fine except she refuses to take it out of the air base fare! I plan to file another complaint now with the Consumer Affairs Department along with my bank to retrieve my money. Again, worst treatment by CheapOair. I plan to tell every person I know never to book with you guys.

It is totally a rip off. You should buy the ticket directly with the airline not with all this bunch of supposedly low fare tickets. They should not be allow to sales tickets. Southwest has great prices and you can change them without any extra fee but are not refundable. Here, they are not refundable plus they charge $200, take it from the credit plus the difference in price. It is very sad. Disgusting. I do not mind about the penalty fee but the amount is not fair when they will send the ticket more expensive because it is holiday weekend (Thanksgiving). That is nonsense.

On Friday, August 29, 2014 I purchased a flight ticket with "Cheapoair" (appropriately named) for the wrong day. I needed a ticket for the current date, 8/29/14 and the purchased ticket was for the following Friday, 9/5/14. I immediately contacted their customer service department and told them what happened. The associate told me that since I called them immediately after making the purchase that my funds of $115.00 would immediately be returned and the reservation would be cancelled. Long story short, three months later, 6-8 phone calls with different customer service reps and extremely rude supervisors, I am still waiting for my promised refund.

During every phone conversation up until Wed. 11/5/14 everyone I spoke to said the funds, $92.00, $25.00 less than what I paid for the ticket, would be deposited back onto the same card that was used to purchase the ticket. No one ever explained to me why my refund would be less than the amount that I paid. On Wednesday, 11/5, they said that they would send out the refund in the form of a check, which I refused to accept. On that day I spoke with ANOTHER supervisor that "claimed" she would call me back. I'm still waiting on that return call. I called again today, 3 different times, maybe 4. The first rep said they would send me a check. The 2nd said they already sent it, the 3rd said something else. I told them that I have not been at the billing address listed on my credit card since August 2014, which none of them ever confirmed prior to "sending out a check".

Now they are saying I have to wait for the check to be returned to them and they will refund my funds to my card, like I originally asked in the first place. Needless to say they do not, cannot, or will not tell me when or how long this process will take. Their website states that it takes 3-5 business days for a refund via credit card. The supervisor who contacted me in September said 10-15 business days. It's false advertisement, poor customer service, and all out BAD BUSINESS. I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND Cheapoair to anyone. EVER! I also asked for the number to their corporate office and they gave me the number 888-793-4229. When I called this number I was directed right back to the billing department. Worst experience with a business ever.

They said they would email it this morning. If they actually do, I'll update my post. It is SO UNFORTUNATE that I had to go public and suffer for over a week with worry before they decided to take care of me after having my money. I purchased a ticket from Cheapoair to fly overseas to see my 90+ year old mother well in advance of my travel date. I received an e-mail confirmation followed by another confirmation containing a booking number and an e-ticket number. For some reason I could never find my trip listed anywhere except on Cheapoair's website. I checked with the airline ~ no such booking found. I checked on "checkmytrip.com" ~ once again no such booking found. I called Cheapoair several times during the period prior to my departure only to be advised that there were no changes and that my trip was indeed confirmed and no problems were found. Be aware that Cheapoair's customer service (or lack of service) is out of India. If the agent you are speaking to doesn't like what you're saying, they put you on hold forever hoping you will hang up. Against my better judgement I took the chance of going to the airport on the scheduled departure date. At the check in counter I was advised that the booking number was bogus, did not exist. The airline's booking numbers are totally different to the one I was given. The e-ticket number also did not exist. The agent even called to see if it could be fixed as it was obvious that my ticket had been paid for but nothing could be done to fix it.

As my trip was going to be out of the country I decided that the best thing to do was to go back home and contact Cheapoair to try and get my money back. This proved to be an exercise in futility. Seven agents later, with ultra long hold times in the hopes that I would hang up, I finally handed the phone to my husband. My husband managed to get through to a supervisor but this took about 45 minutes. Remember at this stage both of us had already spent well over 2 hours trying to get something accomplished. We'd been put on hold, agent checking in with clicks from time to time on the phone to see if we'd hung up yet. In the meantime I called my bank's fraud department and had them lodge an investigation into the charge. My husband at this point was still on the line with the supervisor and was eventually told that they would provide a refund but that it could take 2-3 billing cycles to appear. 2-3 billing cycles would be the equivalent of 90+ days, or maybe never. This is totally unacceptable and the equivalent of stealing in my book. My brother had a similar experience with Cheapoair earlier this year but was fortunate enough to be in a city where a physical travel agent could fix the problem prior to his departure.

Cheapoair is owned and operated by Hahn Air out of Belgium. They apparently have many online booking sites including Cheaptravel, cheaptickets etc. Too many to mention. Oh I forgot to mention that when you get your e-mail with your so called e-ticket it has a link to reserve your seat. I clicked on this link (silly me) and was then told that I couldn't reserve a seat for this flight but my credit card was charged. I have yet to see the refund that's supposed to be credited to my account and this has been ongoing for well in excess of 60 days. I recommend anyone considering booking with Cheapoair, Hahn Air, or any of its subsidiary companies to read about my experience and think about whether it's worth your time, effort and possible theft of your hard earned money. My bank has an ongoing fraud investigation against this company. No one should have to go through this type of experience.

I want a proof of the conversation with one of the CheapOair agent that I called on 11/2/14. Per my conversation, I did tell customer services guy I wanted a package/insurance that able to get refund back because my niece and nephew are not 100% sure to travel to Texas with their grandmother and father (**). Your agent told me yes he will take care of it and charged me extra more for both of them. I was okay with that charged because I was sure he understood my request. My concern, I wonder because I told him the price of ** is higher than ** then I will cancel within 24 hours and book with Expedia. Then he told me that he will match the price as **.

I called CheapOair customer services today, one of your agent told me this ** is not refundable. Are you telling me that your agent is dishonest and lied to the customers just to get the sale?? I am not really happy about this since my nephew can't go to the trip next Monday. Ohh and please don't tell me about cancellation within 24hrs to get a refund because I knew all that stuff already since I used Southwest Airline and Expedia website. This will be my first and last time to do business with this dishonest people.

Updated: request to talk to the supervisor, he told me he will put me on hold to listen to the voice record then hung up on me. I guess this is how supervisor and customer services got train on. At least they called back without let me listen to the recorded conversation. SO BEWARE!!! DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING WITH CHEAPOAIR. SHOULD HAVE STAY WITH SOUTHWEST AIRLINE, PERIOD. And if your ticket less than $200 then don't bother to call them or the flight company since the penalty is higher so your money is gone. DO YOUR RESEARCH WITH CHEAPOAIR BEFORE YOU PLAN TO THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY.

I rescheduled for which I was charged extra around $700. I had to reschedule again for a later date and I was charged again $700. I don't understand the point of having travel insurance. There should be some discount or help for the regular customers. I had to pay in total around $2500/person for it plus their additional $25 CheapOair charges on each txn. It is ridiculous.

It is the first time I used their service. Everything went fine, until I get an email saying the fraud prevention department needed to confirm some information, and to please call a toll-free number. I did as said, spoke to 3 different persons (all nice and polite), and finally gave up about 30 minutes of waiting. I logged into my online bank account and saw Cheapoair tried to charge my credit card. Called the bank, guy told me they handle inquiries from online ticket resellers every day and it might be because the address I gave was not 100% the same as the one in their files. I called again cheapoair and that time it was fast enough, I could speak to the right person, again, always polite and nice. The transaction was processed and I can see on my CC account a charge from the airline, and one from cheapoair (6$ for them). If they go through all that trouble to earn 6$, they have all my respect!

I have contacted the bank to have them be aware of this charge which they are looking into as we speak. Have already spoken to my lawyer also who will be taking this matter further if not resolved. Beyond disappointed - getting furious now at the lack of basic "support" from the support department. This whole crowd is based in India and NO ONE wants to take responsibility for anything. My wife has been trying for OVER A MONTH now with repeated phone calls to rearrange the booking times after one of the carriers cancelled a flight. We now have only 2 weeks left before the flight and we have got absolutely nowhere.

Every person she talks to says she needs to talk to someone else who then repeats the process or they will tell you they will call you back within 48 hours; this NEVER happens! And every time, the same questions are asked, "I want to get a connecting flight on the same day and I don't care which day - how can we do this?" "If we can do this, how much extra would I have to pay?" "How come you don't even know how much penalty would apply if I gave up and cancelled the entire booking." "How is it a flight cancellation of a carrier involves me having to call 10 times so far to get absolutely no answers whatsoever."

Each phone calls takes at least 30-40 minutes and often over an hour to try and get past the initial "help-desk" staff and to someone who is supposed to be able to help, only to be told either they will get back to us (never happens) or we need to call back and ask for "x" department. These toll calls will soon add up to more than any savings we obtained by using this outfit! A basic problem like this should NOT be in the "too-hard" basket. If we booked through this company and the carrier chosen cancels their flight, how come it is OUR responsibility to try and convince them to change the bookings to suit a connected flight? We will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

Please, please, please avoid this company at all costs. It's simply the worst of the worst, at least when it comes to customer service. They would put you on hold for half an hour to an hour each time then come to talk to you for a few seconds and put you on hold again and again and again and the funny thing is after hours of waiting, they would finally hang up on you. You call back and it would happen all over again for ten, twenty times. And the funny thing is you will never get any result at the end. They always have excuse about this and that. This happened to me when I asked for a name change. Basically, those fools put my mother's name in reverse. I noticed the problem and called to request for the change and boy oh boy, you would think it's any easy task because it's already booked and paid for, but no, no, no. It took me 5 torturing days to talk to them and at the end it couldn't be done. IF YOU WANT TO LIVE LONGER, HAVE LESS STRESS, NOT WANTING TO PULL YOUR HAIR OUT, AVOID THEM, PLEASE. They are scammers!!

If close to 90% of reviewers said they are bad, it's hard not to believe that. I didn't and that's why I've paid a heavy price. The only reason I gave them 1 star is because I could not give them a zero.

So I had to spend 20 minutes at least on each call, INTERNATIONAL CALLS if I may add, to get them to issue the ticket. Lucky me, I got my bloody ticket today. So I was up working till 1:45 a.m. which was past the 2 hour point, but yet no confirmation email. So I called again and now the different Indian guy is telling me the flight was not booked properly and that the rates have gone up $315. So I told him "That's not my problem. You guys screwed up, not me so fix it now." He kept me on the phone for like 30 min and I got really pissed and asked for the manager. Again they kept me on hold for like 20 min before the manager got on the phone.

I told her the situation and they said they would take care of it and that I wouldn't have to pay extra and told me I would get the confirmation email in 2 hours (Again). At that time it was like past 3am. So I went to bed and woke up at 6am to check my email and again nothing. So I called and they put me on hold for like 20 min (Again). After 30 min they finally sent me the confirmation. I was so exhausted. So I was driving to work at 7:30am and I get a call from guess who, yes Cheapoair. Now they are saying my credit card was denied, so I gave them a new card number and again on hold for 20-30 min. After I gave them all the new card information they tell me "You should get the confirmation in 2 hours (Again)."

So I'm at work and almost 3 hours go by and still no confirmation email. I got on chat with them asking what's going on and the girl tells me to wait 2 hours. I was so freaking pissed I was going crazy. At that time it was like almost noon. So I told them, "You better send me the confirmation email no later than 2pm or I will contact an attorney." 2pm arrives and again no confirmation email. Now I'm burning up and I get on chat once again to see what's going on. I'm on hold for like 10-15 min (Again) and finally they sent me a confirmation. I called Emirate to confirm the flight and yes it was there.

It was like pulling teeth dealing with this company. I was stupid not looking at the reviews beforehand. I sure will not use Cheapoair ever again, but I'm thankful everything turned out ok at the end.

My husband and I are senior citizens who have not had a vacation in 10 years. We booked plane tickets with cheapoair to attend a wedding in Cabo the weekend of October 23-27th. The airport was destroyed as well as the hotel we were to stay in for the wedding. The wedding has been cancelled due to the unsafe conditions in Cabo at this time. CheapOair agent said the flight was not cancelled and if I cancelled the flight I would not get a refund. I will never book with this group again. We are out nearly $1600 for a flight that will never happen. This is a disaster for us.

Unable to find outgoing and incoming flights with one airline I used Cheapoair to identify suitable airlines. I booked the wrong dates and decided to re-book the flights again with the correct dates. My debit card had exceeded the limit by now and hence would not transfer the funds. Almost within a minute I was called by the Cheapoair "desk" and was offered assistance. I was sold a 169.96 euro flight with Ryanair for 229.89 GBP! When I queried this later I was given excuses that Cheapoair was subject to the airlines and airports rates and taxes. I informed the person that minutes after receiving their (Cheapoair) confirmation, I downloaded Ryanair's flight itinerary confirming the price at 169.96 euros! I eventually got a 50 GBP refund but this still made a 169.96 euro flight cost 179.89 GBP. In essence I am fuming that personnel at the Cheapoair desk set a fictional price for flights! I will never use them again and will warn off everyone I can from using them.

While I was frustrated with the initial response, I appreciate Cheapoair's customer service and they did end up fighting for me to get my money back. My money was eventually refunded and I am now able to go with the organization to another country without Ebola outbreak. So thank you, particularly Renee at Cheapoair.

I'm a nurse and had planned to go on a hospital ship to aid with surgeries in Benin (West Africa). As events developed, the organization cancelled the ship due to Ebola continuing to spread right next door to Benin. The flight was with Brussels Airlines and my organization had been in discussion with them, but I had to do my transactions through Cheapoair. Cheapoair would only give me a credit for a year (to go back to West Africa on my own??) and they told me that Brussels Airlines would not provide the refund. They basically told me that they did not give anyone ebola and it was my fault for not getting insurance. Did they really expect me, as a nurse, to go on a surgery hospital ship, contract Ebola, and bring it back with me to the US? I contacted Brussels Airlines, they gave me a full refund given the situation.

First flight with Cheapo (3/24/14) was cancelled due to poor health.... a cancellation fee of $50 was paid and I was told if the flight was rescheduled prior to 3/25/15 there would be a credit $194.00.... I attempted to reschedule for a 10/15/14 flight and was informed that no credit was available and the flight cost was $246.... I insisted but was told there was NO CREDIT DUE. Growing tired of arguing, I folded and made the reservation with Alaska Air directly.

I called CHEAPO today after I found my notes stating there was a $194 credit due for the same flight. I was told YES there was a credit available for the same flight..... HOWEVER!!! I couldn't get any satisfaction when I told them I had already made and paid for the flight....... Some companies are unreasonable and stressful to work with and this is one of them.... THEY ARE STEALING FUNDS FROM PEOPLE EITHER BY EMPLOYING UNTRAINED PERSONNEL OR THEY ARE CROOKS....

I recently booked 2 r.t. flights to Denver thru Cheapo. I told my son and he immediately checked out the Frontier Airlines' site and the exact same flight/tickets were $25 less per ticket. That's a $50 saving. I emailed them right away and didn't hear back for several days. When I did hear back, they stated that they would not refund my $50 because I only had 24 hours from booking my flight to report the problem. I did report it within 24 hrs, they just chose not to respond to my email within that time. SCAM artists!! ! Never again!!!!!
