I could never recommend this company to anyone!!! Be careful because when making an international flight they misspelled my daughter's name. It was only one letter wrong. I called and they assured me they took care of it. It would be around 10 and they would send me an email. Never happened. I called 4 more times and guess what??? They told me Qatar cancelled her flight to India and I would have to take it up with Qatar and I need to call them back and rebook another flight. I guess I will take 3 MORE hours of my time trying to get someone at CheapOair. Now if this isn't fishy, what is? I pray I will not be out 1450.00. Cannot find a phone number for Qatar. The only number I found for them no longer works. This suppose to be a trip to India to get married. If anything comes out good from CheapOair I will certainly post the good parts.

I had been searching for a few weeks for flights to Paris from San Francisco. All the different websites had roughly the same price on the flights I wanted which was on the Air France airline. I noticed that CheapOAir had an option to call in and save money but it didn't give me the specifics of the flights details. The savings was about $200 for my fight alone so $400 for both!! When I called I was able to get the exact same flight I wanted on Air France but for $400 cheaper for both tickets. I was amazed. They were nonstop flights and exactly the one I wanted. I was very thankful for the promotion and the girl who helped book me was very nice and helpful. I believe her name was Shannon.

Months ago I made a reservation to fly via TAP from Miami to Lisbon, to stay in Lisbon a week and then fly to Rome. Stay another week in Rome and fly back to Miami via Lisbon. The reservation through the web page went great. Then my husband asked me to please change the return date. I called CheapOair immediately and the nice lady said it'd be easier to just cancel the reservation and make a new one. Everything would be the same, except the return date. She sent an email with the new reservation. The email had a summary at the very top with all the flights, plus the departure and return dates. I was very pleased. 2 months ago, I checked the email to start making hotel reservations. To my dismay, I scrolled down to the bottom of the long email, to find that the lady made a mistake and was sending us straight to Rome by mistake, no stop in Lisbon for a week.
I called CheapOair and they said that b/c I didn't correct the mistake within 24 hours, I'd have to pay $1,500 for them to correct the flight. I had them correct the flights and the asked to speak to a supervisor. He heard me and said that they'd retrieve the phone call with the lady and listen to it. If my story was true, they would definitely not charge me the $1,500. He asked me to call a number the next day. I called every day for about 3 weeks, and they would just put me on hold until the call was disconnected. I ended up calling American Express and they are trying to get the recording from them.
So I called this morning just to check on the flights and confirm the seats for ONE of the four flights, as I was able to reserve the seats for all flights except that one. The lady told me I had to pay $14.95 to confirm seats, but she could waive that if I purchased additional travel protection (very insistent). I had already bought travel protection, but this was ADDITIONAL protection. I bought it for the "special price" of $39.99. She confirmed the seats and sent me another email. This time I read through the whole email. No seat confirmation appeared, and the return date was not showing for the flights! I told the lady and she got nervous, saying quickly that she'd put me through customer service, and immediately put me on hold. I waited for 10 minutes until the call got disconnected.
I called back and a gentleman told me that I needed to pay $14.95 for him to confirm that I had the seats. I of course told him that I had already bought "additional travel protection" and I was not willing to pay anything else. He said that "as a courtesy" he would confirm the seats. I was so mad at this point. He sent me a new confirmation email. The lady had changed the seats for one of the flights (for which I had seats already) and didn't confirm the seats for the flight where I didn't have confirmed seats. In the end, I have confirmed seats for all flights. I called TAP airlines just to make sure the information they had was the same I had; everything matched. American Express is still disputing the $1,500 dollars. And I don't want to use CheapOair again after this bad, bad experience.

On October 12, 2015 I utilized their online service to secure 1 Round Trip Ticket from KCI to Spokane, Washington. I selected my departure date of Nov.1, 2015 and my return date of Nov. 8, 2015. I was presented 4 options to select from and opted to use United Airlines due to the departure and arrival times. I entered in my credit card information and the confirmation came back with an itinerary that showed a departure of Friday October 30, 2015 and a departure from Spokane on Tuesday Nov. 10, 2015. These were not the dates I selected.
Unable to resolve this issue from their website, I called customer service and spoke with a foreign agent. He advised me that it was not a problem, he can modify the itinerary, however, it will cost an additional $31.00. I was fine with that and he proceeded to transact an authorized $31.00 payment for the additional customer service. If you ever have to pay for customer service, it is a company you don't want to do business with.
2 hours later, my bank alert on my phone went off and I seen that there were 4 charges from CheapOAir.Com ** for $325.20, ** for $25.00 (NA), ** for $325.20 (NA), and ** for $31.00 resulting in my total bill being $706.40, of which $325.20 was certainly not authorized and the $25.00 service fee was not clearly detailed that I could say it was authorized or not.
I called customer service a second time to discover that the original booking was cancelled and therefore those funds would be returned in 2 billing cycles. Each Billing Cycle is 21 days. This is unsatisfactory as the additional charge was not authorized. Had the agent explained that the booking would be cancelled not "Modified" and that the consequences of a cancellation were this, this and this, I would have opted to have kept the original booking and went on with my travels. Truly a "Buyer Beware" environment, they altered the dates without my consent. They did not inform me of what actions they were taking or the charges attached to those actions. Will never use them again.

I really needed to change how my reservation was paid for. When I first called, I was told this could not be done, since it was more than 24 hours in the past, and that I should call the airline. However, the airline said that it was possible, and when I called CheapOair back and talked to a supervisor, it was arranged as a one-time thing. This was really important for me in this case, and I really appreciate the assistance.

I booked online in Australia for two airfares from Perth to Thailand and was quoted and sent a receipt for the amount in Australian dollars. However my credit card was charged in USD. I tried to contact the so called "toll free customer service" number as stated on my booking confirmation, invoice and receipt. I was not informed until I received my phone bill that I had been charged for several calls to this number and when I enquired at CheapOair (via chat) they said it was only toll free in USA and Canada. This is very misleading.
When I sent a "billing request" to their email address via their website, I received a reply 5 days later that the request had "been processed and was now closed". No explanation of what "processed" meant or what the outcome was. I sent a copy of my credit card debit and the booking invoice so it was quite clear that they had made a mistake by charging me in USD not AUD as the difference is exactly what the current exchange rate was on the date it was debited to my credit card. I have since sent several more emails both to cheapoair.com and billing@cheapoair.com and have yet to receive a reply. I am very dissatisfied with this treatment and if CheapOair do not credit me my funds, I intend to take this to a higher authority. In my opinion this is a blatant rip off for a mistake they made .

Initially when I booked my trip I was unable to pick my seats online because the link provided would not work. I called into the airline and was able to pick my seats free of change in only a few minutes. However, one of my other friends who was taking the same flight and having the same difficulties, called in 5 minutes after I did and was told it was impossible to have seats picked over the phone. The representative was extremely rude to him and hung up on him when he said that I had just done it.
My second experience was after I was away I decided to extend my trip. I contacted CheapOair to see what the price would be to change the flight date. CheapOair wanted to charge me $1065 USD to change the flight. I asked for explanations as to why the price was so high but all they could provide me with was "that's the price mam". I decided to go directly to the airline instead, and they were able to completely break down the price for me, which was $250 USD. Quite a difference from $1065. The staff are rude and are not able to provide any information of value. I will not book with CheapOair again. Overall I would say they are pretty useless.

CheapOair managing team, it was my first experience buying with you, and my last also. I bought a ticket (booking #**) on October 5th. I called you three times in the next 2 days and wrote an email asking the e-ticket. You were unable to confirm the payment with my bank AND YOU CANCELLED THE RESERVATION 2 DAYS LATER without keeping the place and the fare. You said you were trying to contact me... It is not true, only on the 7th you called me by phone to inform the cancellation of the booking for the 12th (5 days before). I will write my experience to avoid more people to fall in the same unprofessional service. You must have the organisation to keep a booking until the confirmation with the bank is done, if not, please sell other things. Consequences: lose lots of time and the money of the difference of fare with a so close trip (5 days) from Colombia to India.

I had never used CheapOair before. I probably won't again. At first they worked well with me finding a fare I wanted. That was appreciated. I was pushed real hard to buy the insurance, which I did not. After I received my confirmation, I went online to select seats. I then received a call from CheapOair offering to make the seat selection for $14.95 a piece. I said no. Then they tried to get me to purchase the seat selection and they would throw in the insurance. I then noticed that one of the names were spelled wrong on the confirmation. I tried to get them to change it. I was told that they would have to cancel the original flight (5 tickets) and reissue but that we would have to leave at a different time, which would not work for us. Or to keep the flight we had, it would cost more money. I finally did get the name changed. My experience was at every turn they were nickel and diming me. I didn't like.

I was deciding whether to change my family's return flights from Europe to Asia, so they could spend more time with family. The customer service representative informed me that I would pay USD $150 cancellation fee, leaving me with $840 USD credit, saying I would need to pay an extra $1000 USD to fly my family home at a later date. That sounded fine to me. When it came time to rebook, I spent a couple of hours on the chat support on hold, with virtually no assistance. The flights I found were roughly $2500 USD one way, which I expected to subtract the $840 USD and pay $1660 USD extra, which I was fine with. I reached a phone operator, said I couldn't book these flights, that I would have to pay over 2250 British pounds for the same tickets. That's a huge difference to what the internet was showing.
They then found a flight and then said that I would need to pay $200 USD penalty per person when booking? So 4 people $800 USD, which left me with $40 USD credit?? I did receive an email after the conversation with the staff member on the phone, stating that I would need to pay a $200 USD penalty per person. However this was never informed to me verbally when I had agreed to accept the credit, which was before I had received the email. The email also stated that the credit could only be used in the name of the person who booked the flight. So why would everyone else have to pay a penalty!! I asked the supervisor to go back on my telephone conversation to prove I was correct, but he told someone would contact me, and I still have no support, nor resolution.

Beware of the trip insurance that they leave the impression that you need to purchase in case you need to cancel. Booked 4 tickets for my family to Ca and knowing I am the only caregiver of parents in their 80s I purchased the trip insurance for this trip. My mother and dad both since booking tickets Aug 12 both have medical problems come up. My dad is now taking radiation for cancer and mother has to have a colonoscopy during our planned trip. We cannot make this trip.
Canceled trip and the hours on the phone is unbelievable to try to make claim on trip insurance. Also Beware of the green pricing when you click on that pricing. CheapOair can move your departure and arrival times up to 48 hours. This was not made clear to us. They moved our return trip to an impossible time for us. All of this has lead to a lost vacation for us and plus the loss of almost 1400 dollars. Please beware!!! If CheapOair and trip insurance Tripmate will make this right I will come back and post but as of now no resolution!!

He did not inform me that the flight was indeed unconfirmed and that I did not have a booking. He also did not inform me why that flight was unconfirmed.
When I arrived at the airport in London, I was unable to fly and had to pay 179 pounds on the spot to book a ticket for the next flight. Not only did CheapOAir refuse to accept responsibility for a problem that they themselves had caused, a man named Tim from CheapOAir informed me that they had no documentation of my previous call to CheapOAir. This was clearly false and a sign that CheapOAir is corrupt and simply destroyed the record of my call to clear any responsibility on their part. I am warning all customers to never use CheapOAir unless they want to have a terrible flying experience. The inconvenience CheapOAir caused me was so large that this is simply my duty to all future customers. RyanAir service desk workers informed me that this is NOT a unique case with CheapOAir. I'm writing this review based on my negative experience with this company. Upon my research, this company is owned by Royal Scenic Holiday. I booked a flight for my sister and I from Toronto, Canada to Perth, Australia in February 2015 for a trip in December 2015. My sister had to cancel in August and therefore I made a call to CheapOair to process a refund (I paid $1796.73 for her ticket). Based on the changes, the company charged me $200 to cancel her flight as "I had made changes to my booking". Given the difference in time (5 months), Etihad Air (the given airline) is able to sell the seat. The refund I am told that was given was $1203.76 as sent in an email. A few days after that conversation, I was promised in an email 1100.
Not only is this company blatantly ripping off consumers, their process for customer service is so frustrating that one would want to give up. In total, this company has taken $696 in order to cancel a flight they very well could have sold to another customer. I'm disappointed and devastated that corporations as this can illogically take funds based on some legal small print. If you can avoid this company, please do, or consider cancellation insurance. This company has a million and one reasons to keep your money once they have it.

Why even offer the ticket price back when you're going to charge a ridiculous fee. I had a death in the family and offered to prove it and they said it didn't matter.. This company is run by a bunch of crooks! My sister just recently had a much worse experience than I. If you have to change anything with your flight they rake you over the coals. One was on the top of the flight details and the other was on the bottom. The one on the bottom was for another flight plan. I clicked on the wrong one and booked the wrong flight. I got it changed, but had to pay more for the new flight even though the details were identical. It is a little confusing when you are choosing the button to click on. I know I am not the only person this had happened to since my sister had the same thing happen to her. It would make it easier if there were more space between the bookings or a different color, or a dark line between them to differentiate between the two bookings. I had no problems with changing my reservations, and the rep was very nice and understanding, but he could not give me the same price I had before.

I originally had it booked at 15 dollars lower per person, seems they charged my credit card 2 times forcing the bank to decline the second charge, thinking fraud. When I got it straightened out it was too late, the price went up 15 more per person in a matter of hours. This was the only bad experience, they could have offered me free insurance to override the mistake, but no one offered anything.

THEY STOLE $200 FROM MY ACCOUNT!! I needed the ticket change. They charged me $200 (two hundred dollars) in addition to all other charges, LYING to me that this amount is collected by the Delta Airlines/Air France and that I must pay regardless the date. They used coercive methods - calling me on my personal phone asking for the money before the ticket expires. I didn't know I could call the airline directly. So I agreed, although very hesitantly to pay cause I thought I had no other choice.
When I called the Airline they said THEY NEVER RECEIVED that amount. When I changed the ticket the next time they kept asking me again for the same amount as the "price difference collected by Air France". This time I called the airline directly and there was NO price difference for the date requested (only the regular ticket change fee). WARNING!! Don't deal with CheapOair/OneTravel. They will lie to you and EXTORT money from you whenever possible!!

In the early part of 2015 I submitted a review of the customer service I experienced while dealing with CheapOair. It was a terrible experience and I wrote it in the hopes of helping others avoid the aggravation and misery of dealing with this company. Briefly, I was in a disabled condition, using a cane/crutch, and in order to fly on an aircraft I needed an aisle seat. I was assured an aisle seat on each of the 4 connecting flights before paying. In advance of the flights I learned that aisle seats were not going to be made available to me. I immediately tried to cancel the arrangement and ran into every obstacle that could be thrown in my way. CheapOair can be very creative in frustrating you and keeping your money. My phone calls were put on truly indefinite hold, or transferred to different departments continuously... none of which could or would help me get the flights cancelled and refunded.
Finding "Consumer Affairs" was a lucky break for me, and after months of struggle before finding them I finally got the refund. Without the help of Consumer Affairs I would have eventually burned out in my efforts and not received any refund at all. Only recently did I see a reply CheapOair submitted to my complaint. They replied in such a way as to make it seem they were attentive and concerned about the problem, and that they were making every effort to make sure I would be a satisfied customer. Nothing but damage control on their part, after months of frustration on my part, and it just reignited my anger. I suppose, in the end, if they do this to all who are owed a refund, a certain percentage will give up and accept their loss. After the fact damage control to the few that they actually have to answer to, and money in their pocket for those that gave up.
I believe in "Consumer Affairs" and what they can accomplish by exposing these awful practices. I have also purchased an inexpensive voice recorder. Just as it has become common practice for so many companies to record my calls, I now record them as well to keep thing honest and on the level. An honest company should not mind being told they are being recorded after their short speech about them recording you for "training purposes". It is unfortunate things have come to this in America, but I find it very fortunate we have organisations like "Consumer Affairs" to help us get past these rough spots and give us the chance to stand up to companies like CheapOair. After so much frustration with Consumer Affairs, I only hope I have helped others avoid the same. Bravo Consumer Affairs. You do good work.

You know when airlines change their flight schedule? Happens all the time, right. Typically you get an email saying the flight has changed by a few minutes, you click 'accept' or 'confirm' or something and you're good to go. Not so with CheapOair. I have an international flight, which the airline changed by 30 minutes. I accepted the airline's new itinerary almost immediately. It's been 9 days now and still no confirmation. I have a booking, but no confirmed seat on the plane.
The airline won't deal with me because I booked through a 3rd party website, so I'm forced to deal with CheapOair. I've made at least 6 phone calls, about 8 emails, used their live webchat feature several times, all to no avail. Several calls inexplicably disconnected. Two assistants on the phone flat out lied and said they'd processed the new flights when in fact they'd done nothing. 3 promised call-backs have never arrived. When I do get hold of someone, they assure me it's been forwarded to a mystery department which I can't talk to directly, to be dealt with "soon".
Until this happens, I can't select seats or make meal requests with the airline, and I run the risk of the flight actually booking out. Just to reiterate, this is not an itinerary change I have made. I've not made any modifications or cancellations of my own. I simply wish to re-confirm my ticket after the airline changed the time of the flight by a few minutes. An extremely common process which is typically instantaneous. CheapOair might work if you're lucky enough to have nothing at all about your booking change. But if anything, and I mean *anything* changes, even just a simple shift of the departure time by the airline, you've got no hope.

When I got confirmation from the airline the flight was not on a date I could travel. Switched from Friday night to Monday night. Called within the hour and made the changes to the tune of another 150.00. That or just forfeit the 230.00 already charged to my card. 2 days later the car dealer sends email saying the car won't be ready for pick up for another 10 days after my reservations. Called again, made changes and was charged another 50.00. So my 200.00 flight has turned into a 420.00 flight. To top it off the flight I ended up on was nearly totally booked. I started out booking late on a Friday evening my time. That was a long but good experience. Finishing at 4:00 A.M. my agent, Daron, made sure everything was right. The problem is that I didn't know the birthday of a friend that was traveling with my husband and myself. He said to call the next morning after I talked to her. I did & it was too late as the airline would not change it. So my agent, Deenholm, had to cancel that flight & I spent another 1 1/2 hours rebooking. I was working out of town & found out when I got back home to check my e-mail that for some reason that entire flight #30223643 has been cancelled. So that night I again was on the phone to rebook. Every time I did this the price went up. Although the agents were always very good at finding me the best possible price.
When I checked the e-mail confirmation that night, I realized that he had the birth dates mixed up & my husband listed as a female so I had to call back & fix that. The next evening my friend had informed me that she was unable to travel, so again I was on the phone most of the evening cancelling her part of the flights. Hopefully all is correct now & my flights will go as planned. If not you will be the first to know.

This happened to me several times from CheapO. It seems that they just post low prices on non-existent tickets so they can get traffic from Kayak and other sites. Once you try to book, they call you up and try to make the sale on a different flight. At the end of the day, they do not offer anything cheaper than anyone else. They just pretend to do so. Upon discovering inaccurate info & booking the originally desired flight resulted in a $200.00 fee by CheapOAir. Without question the worst travel site we have dealt with in 30 years. Due to hurricane that hit Cabo San Lucas Sept 2014, my husband and I had to re-book our American Airline Ticket since the resort was badly damaged & were usable to use the October 2014 airline tickets. We had a balance of about $1100.00 to use after each ticket was charged $75.00 penalty. We rescheduled another trip for this year (2015) in August before we lost the $1100.00. BUT CheapOair charged another $388.50 to re-book ticket. Then when we get to LAX American Airlines charge us another $164.25 for the re-booking. Total charges for this trip was $1652.75. Cheapo representative said $75.00 each was the only charge we had to pay since the airport in Cabo was closed. They need to tell us upfront all the charges that will be incurred after a re-booking. I feel $388.50 was just too much to charge as a penalty.

I was going through several trip reservations (Air-hotels-rentals) for a trip between NY and CA, in which there were twice sudden needs to change reservations. In the original and first redo I used Priceline.com. The reservations were easily made, the savings comparable to other sites but when I tried to reschedule and make adjustments, there was no alternative given but to take a 100% loss on first reservation especially irksome with reference to a motel booking (where I would have thought I was doing them a favor by offering to pay a cancellation fee, while giving them the option to resell the room). No go. Full loss.
The second scheduling of the trip involved partial use of Priceline, for one hotel booking (that had carried over) but I used CheapOair as the service for scheduling Air Travel, another hotel, and car rental. My bad luck, the person I was going to rendezvous with took sick and I needed to reschedule again to change the destination city. Priceline, for the carry over hotel booking, again just took my money and said in effect "Sorry Charlie that's our policy, goodbye."
CheapOair on the other hand, were considerate of the dilemma, explained clearly their policy on airfare (a upfront fee for making the change plus or minus whatever the new revised scheduled flight costs were against what I had already committed). The changes were made, the additional costs made up for by the savings from their in effect, 'no problems no extra costs cancellation of the hotel and car rental charges.' In regard to the car rental, there might have otherwise have been a cancellation charge, but the CheapO rep waived it (I think in apology for the $300 extra I was paying for the flight changes). Needless to say, CheapOair, will be my choice for trip scheduling in future (and Priceline has been erased from my bookmarks).

My fiancé and I were scheduled to fly out Monday for our baby shower with my family in PA. With an approaching hurricane scheduled to hit our area of FL that day, we decided it would be better to change our flights to leave a little earlier. I had purchased the flight protection due to my pregnancy in case anything were to happen. Thinking this may cover the change in flights I called to speak to someone to confirm this. Spoke to what I thought was a very nice man that assured me we could file a claim and it would be cheaper to purchase a new ticket with him over the phone rather than switch the flights through American Airline. I don't own a major credit card and my fiancé was at work, so the flight he said was $498 I was going to put on my bank card (our original flights were $525). Later in the call asking to verify payment after adding protection to these flights, he gives me a price of almost $1000!
I immediately said no. We can't afford $1000 for a flight, especially after having seen the exact flight on their website for $770 for both. Why would I pay almost $300 more?? He gave me the booking number in case I changed my mind and we ended our call. I then proceeded to go online to book the flights, when a message came up saying I had already booked with the same booking number I had been given. Checked my bank account and they had taken $690 out to pay for the flight I wasn't booking, almost draining that account.
After about another hour on the phone with another person I'm getting a refund, but in 7-14 days! I'm a full time student, work 3 days a week, and 5 months pregnant. This company pretty much drained my bank account 2 days before I leave for vacation. Way to ruin my vacation CheapOair. We rebooked with Expedia. Not sure why I ever left them. Won't make that mistake again! And none of my friends and family will either.

Our daughter used our credit card to book a flight through CheapOair. We had previously used the same credit card to book flights for our son. CheapOair switched my daughter's ticket to my son's name. Our mistake was not looking at the confirmation email. But why would CheapOair do this? Is it because they know the ticket can't be used? They charged us a $50.00 cancellation fee and said we would get a credit that my son could use but when we got the email confirming this, this was also a $200.00 re-booking fee. Shame on CheapOair! Use anyone but them. They are obviously now operated by scoundrels!
Updated on 08/30/2015: CheapOair responded and said that my college educated daughter put her brother's name instead of her name when she went online to buy a ticket for herself or that my son (who is on the west coast) went online to buy a round trip between Baltimore and Denver for himself. Pure BS. In reality, CheapOair's system changed the reservation from my daughter's name to my son's name. Maybe this was a glitch in CheapOair's computer system or maybe they do this intentionally so they can screw people on tickets. Our only fault was not looking at the confirmation email, but even if we had, CheapOair might have still been in denial and would have tried to sell us another ticket. They get over by offering to give you a credit but you have to pay a $50 cancellation fee on the worthless ticket and a $200 re-booking fee on the next. Crooks! Don't deal with these people!

I booked a flight from LAX to JFK. I got a flight instead from Ontario to LaGuardia airport. I am not aware that the search engine gave me an alternate search. I assumed that it still had the preferred airport I chose as does Kayak and Cheaptickets.com. Anyways I booked 2 flights and I realized after work when I read the confirmation email that my flight departed from Ontario to LaGuardia instead of what I initially searched. Long story short I called back as soon as I read the email, approx. a couple hours after an employee of CheapOair.com Tristian employee code #** so called assisted me. Well he was the most disrespectful rep I have ever came across.
I understood completely what he was saying. He chose to talk over me as I was asking to speak to a supervisor. He informed that he will transfer me after he says what he has to say to me first, also assured me that it's nothing his supervisor could do. I listened to him and it's really too much to write but he was overall extremely rude and he had very poor customer service skills.
Although they never fixed my ticket or changed anything (supposedly I was over the 24 hour limit to make any changes. WHICH I WAS NOT) the insure only exchanges your ticket or reimburse when you are injured or have a family crisis. I understood the entire dilemma but that rude rep needs to be fired. I don't mind taking the ride to Ontario from Los Angeles. The site also is not a good site to use. You will be tricked. Stick to Kayak or a site that has been advertised properly. CheapOair will give you tricky poor service. I stand by this review. Overall the employee needs to be fired (TRISTON) and the site needs to update it functioning.

When I called the first time, I was told that the agent could not find the booking, after giving him my CheapOair confirmation and the American Airlines confirmation letters. After 4 phone calls over 3 hours (most of it on hold), I spoke to a supervisor who discovered the error and tried to book another flight. After insisting that I wanted that flight, he finally got back to me and assured that the ticket had been obtained. Still, no boarding passes were available.
When we went to the airport, the American Airlines agent informed me that only one ticket was purchased and we had to buy the second (of two) tickets then. I kept going down the list, with each ticket becoming more and more expensive and I was still told that this fare is unavailable. I finally called and spoke to an agent, who managed to book the ticket for me at $978.66 by applying some bonuses. While not terribly pleased, it was still better than what I was able to do by myself online.
A few hours later, I again went into your site and saw that there were tickets listed at considerably less than what I had paid. I again called an agent and within a few minutes he told me that I would be getting a $90.00 refund within a few days. Although still slightly more that what I tried to book originally, I was nevertheless very pleased that this ticket was within the range of what I had expected to pay and quite taken with the excellent service. To my surprise the representative told me that it is possible for the ticket to be refunded, but it will cost me 300$ cancellation fee. I asked several times "Are you going to refund me the full amount of 3300?" and the representative said "Yes". I agreed paid the 300$ cancellation fee.
A month later I received a refund for 227$, when I was expecting about 3300. When I called and asked what is going on with this refund, I was told by their billing department that the air company refused to refund the ticket. When I asked "Why did you tell me that it would be refunded then?", they said "We have not told you this". I guess implying that I'm lying and I will pay 300$ to get a refund of 227$, on ticket that is 3300. We booked 2 tickets roundtrip LAX/BOM/LAX in July for travel 12/31/15, only to learn a couple of weeks later that our tour operator made a mistake in the itinerary and we needed to change our return flight. We spent at least 5 hours on the phone with multiple customer service agents in India, each stating different facts, promises to get us a call back from a supervisor (that never came), referring us to the airline for changes, being referred back to CheapOair by the airline, and now after 8 days, still no resolution. Agents give their names and say they can be called back, but when you try, no one can ever find them. You're asked for their operator number (which they never provide), and then when you ask the operator asking for the other's operator number, you're told they change everyday, so have zero value.
The flights we want to change to are currently available on the CheapOAir website - at the same fare we paid, and the agent is telling us this is just for new customers NOT people who need to change their flights. So it would appear we are being forced into purchasing completely new tickets, even though we've told them we understand there is a change fee - which by the way, is 3x the fee the airline would assess. We're not changing carriers at all - just return date. Are you able to refer us to a regulatory agency to which we can file a complaint?
