    After buying my ticket I discovered that one of my stop was done with another airline than the one I choose. So I called to have this changed. The proposal I got was completely different dates and quite more expensive (above 25% of the flight price). I asked for a minute to think about it (as we were two to travel, we needed to discuss the new dates and price). When I got back on the phone and told that at those condition we would not modify the tickets, the operator "John" told me that the transaction was done already and that it couldn't be undone unless I pay the changes again! After 10 minutes arguing, Me: "I never confirmed, I asked you to wait!" John: "Why did you call if you don't want to change?" John would not give me a manager, nor tell me his family name so I could track him. He told me to hang up and that his manager would call me back.

    I did not, and after another 10 minutes of arguing, John suddenly was capable of doing what was impossible a second before: leave my ticket as it was before the call, at no expenses at all. As I did not receive any notification from my bank, I believe he never did the transaction, and just lied to force the sale of the changes.
    Beware of the following tricks: John proposed to send me an email with the complicated details he told me on the phone so I could review them, and after said: "I've sent you an email, the transaction is done, it cannot be undone". John asked me if I will pay using the same card as I used to buy the ticket, I said yes; and after he used that sentence to say I authorized the transaction even if at that point I had yet no clue of what the changes would involve in terms of price or dates.

    Extremely unpleasant qualified forced sales techniques. Do not use this company ever!

    The rep who helped me was super helpful, I mistakenly booked a flight that had a 15 hour layover in Chicago and the rep was able to get it switched for a lesser layover, the only downside was it was 150.00 more than I was budgeted for.     I wish I did not purchase my ticket at CheapOair. On their website, the best price guarantee policy says if you found a better deal, email them with a screenshot within 24hr. I even chatted with an online representative and she told me to do the same, but I sent in the email with all the details within 2 hours after I booked my flight, and got no response.

    After I waited I got no response, I then called customer service and they told me it has been over 24hrs and they can't refund me the difference amount of the ticket. But I sent in an email to the email address they told me on their website, the policy is on their website: just send in an email, it did not tell me to call, but I contacted customer service online to make sure and they told me the same thing, "Just Send In An Email to that email address." But I got no response! And now they're blaming it on me because it has been over 24hrs. If the policy said call in instead of just email I would understand, but why would they do this? This is a scam. Don't fall for it.

    I booked ticket CLT to SJC, Booking # **. Plan has been changed and cancelled the ticket through the call center calling... and they charge extra $50 from card. Finally they said $290 available in my account... Next time I can utilize these amount with same American Airlines. Now I tried to book ticket (CLT to SJC) using my credit, surprised, there is a airline charge of $200, fare difference plus taxes. If I book ticket directly $326. If I book through using my credit I need to pay extra $356 (overall charges: credit $290+$356=$646). Hence ticket cancellation is waste of money. They (CheapOair) have to educate customers. Unnecessarily extra $50 loss with hope of credit amount utilization.

    We had booked 2 tickets from Bangalore to Toronto.. unfortunately due to medical emergency had to cancel the tickets 3 days prior to departure.     WE WILL NOT CHEAPOAIR AGAIN. CheapOair sold us an intercontinental ticket with a 1-bag limit and an international ticket with a zero-bag limit with NO WARNING. The baggage rules online are hard to find and apply to our situation, and we were caught unaware. We were forced to pay an extra $500 for baggage on our 4 flights. We could not get help online after the first flight. We contacted CheapOair from Italy after the first flight and received no support. We could not get help from the airlines (Air Berlin and HOP). The airlines said the problem was with CheapOair and not with them.

    The Linate and Malpensa Airports in Milan handled the problem differently. Linate took 1.5 hours to process a credit card payment because the baggage ticket office could not gain access to the airline computer system... We almost missed our flight. Malpensa required a cash payment. In neither airport was there a well-grooved pathway for handling this problem.

    These hidden baggage charges are dishonest. Customers should be informed in detail of the baggage restrictions before they purchase the ticket and sign off that they understand them. Both airlines exonerated themselves by saying "everything was online". If it was, it certainly was not easy for us to find. Customer support was non-existent either online or by telephone. It is a definite "buyer beware" situation. WE WILL NOT CHEAPOAIR AGAIN.

    Today, I called them to reschedule my tickets, and while the new booking for the rescheduled date Dec 3rd on CheapOair site for the same Eitihad airline flight are $872 less than my earlier ticket price $1130 still the CheapOair is charging me $578 per ticket, while the return date still remains the same. Also be aware of this CheapOair site. It says Free cancellation policy but it is scam. I have the booking number and details if Trustpilot site need it. I did not see way to enter it if you want to verify. Earlier I have called 2 times to cancel the ticket. First time under 48 hrs still they did not cancel. I was told that I can have 1 time free reschedule, but no cancellation. Next time when I called they disregarded their earlier commitment. Note this booking site is trying to earn unfair money in rescheduling tickets rather than charging the fare difference if any. In this case I should receive the credit back as fare is less for updated dates.

    I booked a ticket from Montreal to Mumbai for 13th October 2016 on 12th September 2016. The price was 724 CAD. But after booking they changed my date to 10th October 2016 (this was explained as I opted for flexible date). Then I called and requested whether that can be shifted to my original opted date i.e. 13th October 2016 without any extra cost. They said yes and sent me a confirmation email with e-ticket no. **.

    At the time of booking I was told that I will get Economy Premium seating at Economy price by the booking agent. I was asked to choose my seats after 5-6 days and if I had any problems to call the company's customer service. When I tried to reserve the seats in Economy Premium, airline wanted to charge me so I called the customer service at CheapOair (apt name) two days ago and since then everyone has been giving me a runaround.     I happily found and booked airline tickets for my son and my brother to go to NY to see colleges. At the time of booking, I remember the CheapOair website specifically indicating that I should go ahead and book, and if I needed to change it later, there would be no problem, I could cancel the booking. I naively believed the website.

    My brother works in South Sudan and I learned this morning that he would not be here on the travel date. I called up, to cancel his booking and to book a seat for me, instead, to accompany my son. At first, the customer service person told me that the ticket was not refundable. I explained that the website indicated that I had the right to cancel. She told me that cancellation was only possible in the first four hours. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she cut me off. I called again, and again spoke to a customer service representative and went through the same conversation except this time the woman told me that I could get a credit. Again, I asked to speak to the supervisor and again I was cut off.

    I then called the airline and was told that CheapOair should handle everything including the cancellation because that was their cancellation policy. I called CheapOair again and was unfortunate enough to be "helped" by a man who said his name was Colton. I identified myself and my booking and his tone turned decidedly hostile. I repeated everything that had been discussed before and told him that I needed to know what the options were. He responded that there were no options. That the ticket I wanted to cancel was "wasted." I asked if what I had been told about a travel credit was erroneous information and he just repeated that the ticket was wasted. I then told him that I wanted to speak to his supervisor and he told me that I had already spoken to a supervisor. I told him that, in fact, I had been cut off twice, but never spoke to a supervisor.

    Aside from refusing to explain to me the option to receive a credit in lieu of the cancelled ticket, his tone was unnecessarily disrespectful and mocking. Keep in mind that they had taken my money and I was getting nothing but his insolence in return. It seemed that he was picking a fight with me and he made it clear that he had no intention of helping me to resolve this issue. He asked me twice if I wanted him to repeat the answer he had given me indicating that he had no intention of reasoning or seeking a solution.

    All I wanted was someone reasonable to talk to who would help me find a solution. A wasted ticket is not a solution, and under the circumstances may be considered a fraudulent business practice. Colton was clearly incapable of resolving the matter in civilized fashion. He had no intention of even attempting to do so. He was just interested in getting my money in exchange for nothing. Colton should not be involved in customer service of any kind he has neither the temperament nor the disposition to help anyone.

    I had booked family vacations and business travel through CheapOair in the past, but will never do so again because they hire people like Colton. That tells me that their business philosophy is to allow customers to "waste" their tickets after convincing them that they should book through them because they can always cancel their bookings if things do not work out. I wonder how much of their business is built on getting paid and providing nothing in return.

    The customer can cancel a reservation at any time, however, he was not entitled to a refund due to the fact the ticket is non refundable. He misunderstood what cancellation meant, compared to receiving a refund. We would not deny any one to cancel a reservation! Therefore only a credit to be used for future travel is the rules of the ticket, and this comes directly from the airline. Our terms and conditions is very clear that many of the tickets are non refundable, and usable upto 1 year from the purchase dates, and this comes from the airline, and not CheapOair.com

    I contacted CheapOair because there was a problem with my attempt to make a booking and, more concerning, the amount that I was going to be charged was more than the price quoted on the company's website. My experience with the staff member who took the call was unpleasant to say the least. He tried to claim that the costs were allowed even though not disclosed in the booking process. I informed him that I believed the attempt to add in undisclosed costs was deceptive and misleading and probably contravened consumer laws. He then offered to "discount" the amount but I said it was still more than the amount quoted on the website. Initially he was condescending. When I challenged him, he became rude and dismissive. I told him that I did not want any further dealings with CheapOair. Despite this, I was bombarded with emails from the organisation.

    I sent emails requesting that my email address be removed and received an email that this would be done. I still kept getting the emails so I sent 5 or 6 emails demanding removal of my address. Still the emails came so I rang and was told the matter would be sorted. Still the emails continue! I have rated my experience with one star but only because there is not option for a no star rating.

    I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY CHEAPOAIR experience. I BOOKED 4 bookings for my Euro trip this month, September 26-October 12. Had I not called my bank, I wasn't informed that ALL 4 bookings were cancelled 3 weeks before my flight! They told me they couldn't confirm my credit card details as I booked 4 flights consecutively and they thought it was a fraud. And when I called their HK customer service support center to ask for help, I was told there was nothing left to be done and that I should book through another agency. I am very disappointed, I have never been this stressed with a flight booking and I have never been more disappointed with an agency. Had I not called my bank and relied on the "your booking is confirmed" info on their site, I would have been at 4 different airports in Europe waiting at the airport for a flight I wasn't a part of.

    I'm posting this so that travellers will know that THERE IS such a thing as this unbelievable event. Now I'm left with less than 3 weeks to book for flights, more expensive at that all because I was never informed the moment CHEAPOAIR decided to cancel my bookings. Not a single email was sent to me. But next time, I hope you can inform your clients so that they will be able to find alternative solutions and not panic weeks before their flight, assist your clients with these kind of events, not just leave them to find another agency to book with after all the stress they've been put through.     I have bought a round trip airline tickets to Orlando for my whole family. But plans had changed because of an urgent operation schedule and I had to go to Minneapolis with my daughter earlier than my scheduled flight because I had to get an operation there. Then I was going to go to Orlando with my daughter and join to my husband and older daughter there and four of us were going to go back to Turkey all together.

    I called CheapOair to change my and my daughter's going ticket. They asked more than my original purchasing price only to change the one-way for my and my daughters ticket. They told me that I had to buy those tickets because otherwise I can not use back to Turkey tickets. I had no other choice and I paid what they are asking. They changed the tickets through Canada without asking me or warning me that I should have a Canada visa and I learned in the airport that we needed transit Canadian visa to be able to fly to US through Canada. I couldn't afford to lose time to go to Minneapolis for preoperation tests. Then I had to buy the same ticket third time from them while I was at the Istanbul airport. They had no pity at all while they are asking prices.

    I understood that their aim is only to make money as much as possible when they catch you and NO CONCERN ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION or to serve the customer. This was our first purchasing from them even we have been flying very often for business and vacation and never seen such a company just trying to take advantage of any instance.

    Anyway, next day my husband came with a round trip ticket bought directly from Turkish Airlines. When the time came that my husband had to leave, he saw that I was not in a good condition after the operation and it was too much for my younger daughter to handle the situation. He decided to stay with us and cancel his going back ticket by Turkish Airlines and go to Orlando with us to meet with our older daughter and go back to Turkey all together with our original ticket. We had to call CheapOair again to ask to cancel the coming part of my husband's original ticket. He couldn't come back by Lufthansa from Orlando to Istanbul if we couldn't cancel the Istanbul to Orlando part. They asked US $2.700 only to cancel that part. My husband bought a new round trip ticket Orlando-Istanbul-Orlando directly from Lufthansa to less than half price what CheapOair asked to cancel only the first part of his original ticket.

    Then he said that we also bring our older daughter here, because she is alone there and we can travel all together from Minneapolis to Orlando and then fly back to Turkey from there. Again, we called CheapOair to ask the change of her. This time we are asked US $1.339 for changing coming to U.S. part of her ticket and around US$1.500 to sell a new ticket. My husband's office is buying a new round trip ticket for my daughter from Lufthansa in the same time to US$1.255 from a travel agent in Turkey. I really don't know if their name should be expensive-o-air or something else but definitely not cheap-o-air. This is not fair and this is the bad way of cheating people without any satisfaction feedback.

    I booked my tickets on August 09, 2016 from JFK - DEL via Kuwait Airways. Finally, tickets were booked with ONE STOP AT KUWAIT. JFK - KWI & KWI - DEL. I was receiving several alerts - "1 day left, today is your travel day with complete itinerary." On the travel date September 3, 2016 when I reach the airport, the airlines denied me travelling stating that I cannot travel as the flight is travelling via LONDON NOT KUWAIT.     After spending 5 hours on call with supervisor on my case with airlines rep too, he accepts that it is Cheapoair mistake and the solution he can provide me is by CANCELLING the tickets. He can't adjust/change my tickets with any other option available. The best he can do CANCEL my tickets. In spite of having insurance under Travel Protection Plan, he CHARGED ME WITH CANCELLATION PENALTY AND OTHER THINGS. He got ready to refund only $230 out of my ticket amount of $547.

    My question to the management is, "Is this your customer service is?". I never received a single notification of airline having stoppage at London instead of Kuwait. Till today, I was received alerts of my airline for Kuwait stop. If ever I would have received a single notification about London stop, why would I have booked ticket when I knew that I won't be able to travel due to visa issue. I would request you to kindly refund the entire amount of my ticket which went in waste. This was unexpected from Cheapoair. Kindly help me out with my case at earliest. I have to drop down this mail to you when I had no option left.

I purchased 2 tickets from US to Asia 5 mos in advance. 4 days after booking, I want to reserve seats but these are my challenges: Chat online - wait for 5 mins and keep asking me questions every 5 mins, after 15, I am done. No answer or gotten anywhere. I called. First time, waited for 15 mins, no pick up. Called second time, only waited 3 mins, reasonable. This guy is ok. First, he offered to cancel my "pre-assign seat" charges since I cannot select seat. Then he explained that there is "FEE" to cancel reservation even though the site said "FREE CANCELLATION". Very tricky. You need to "CLICK" on the words "FREE CANCELLATION" to see all the rules. Only free if you cancel within 2 hrs. After 2 hrs, it prorates from there onward.

    I am leaning toward cancellation but then my $600 tickets require $200 penalty. Two tickets will be $400 cancellation fee. Oh mine! Then I asked, the direct airline price is $100 cheaper so CheapOair is NOT the cheapest. He said, it has to be within 24 hrs of booking and they will match the price. If not, prices changes daily. NO matching. I offered to pay the upgrade so I can get seat assign, they won't do it. CheapOair controls the booking, the tickets but not willing to do the upgrade for me. Asked me to call the airlines. So, I did. Airlines said they can upgrade for me and do the seating since there is no change on flight or time. Well, getting nowhere with CheapOair. Got more help from airlines, they went ahead and select seat for me as an exception. This will be the last time I deal with CheapOair. Too tricky. Not worth it.

What she didn't understand is that yes, the airline does charge their penalty of $135.00 to make the change, and that is what we also quoted, but the new date of travel was more expensive, so she had to pay the fare difference for that new flight. Expecting to pay 50.00 or 100.00 she was willing to pay, but unfortunately the airfare difference she wasn't taking into consideration. It is stated in our terms and conditions that you will be assessed an airline fee, along with fare difference for any changes to your itinerary. We did explain this to her each time she called, finally she did agree to the change.

    We booked a flight for our honeymoon and chose to get insurance on our flights. We had to cancel for medical issues and we were charged a $100 cancellation fee but that they would give us a $500 voucher. Then we were sent an email which said we also had to pay a $200 dollar per person charge to rebook a new flight. So on a $590.43 flight that we purchased insurance for, we would have to pay $500 in fees to be able to rebook. And they kept saying it was the airlines charging the fees and go talk to them. But we had to rebook with them but could only use the original airlines. After much struggle and many phone calls we gave up. Read all the fine print. A disingenuous way to do business.     I concur. I find their booking page misleading. I was charged an additional $156.00 dollars for a seat and immediately called customer service to change my seat and get refunded. The representative told me it would be refunded in 7-14 business days. It never was. I talked to numerous customer service representatives after and they just bounced me around to other departments until someone in billing claimed they couldn't hear me and had to disconnect the call.

    I tried the online chat and that was even worse. They flat out told me they could not refund or reassign my seat or cancel my flight. I also requested an itinerary change which they said would cost $200.00. I purchased flight protection which states in its terms that flights may be cancelled. I do not recommend CheapOair to anyone. Their booking process is filled with hidden fees and their customer service is terrible. I deeply regret thinking I would get anything close to the price stated on my flight search.     CheapOair on the airlines that use are absolute crooks. I buy a ticket for $700, plans change, I have to change it, they charge me another 300 something dollars so I'm up to 1100 something dollars. My plans have not changed and I have to cancel my ticket. In order to cancel my tickets they're taking $200 away and they want me to pay an additional hundred fifty dollars out of pocket just to cancel my ticket leaving me with a grand total of $350 out of 1100 that I have currently paid total.     I hate writing reviews unless some place was great or just insanely bad! This was bad. After reading reviews I tried to book on CheapOair, 3 times on flights and every time after I filled it out, suddenly the flight was booked. The process takes time, a lot of it. The next day these full flights were still advertised. So I called, and spent an hour with a nice guy from India who booked the same "full" flights, sent me a confirmation. I called my parents and said the grand kids were coming, and two hours after that - CheapOair - wrote me and said the trip was cancelled. I called, mad and angry. I had to accept what they said "no, flight" - so I asked to cancel MY CAR RENTAL and they tried to charge me $40 for cancelling. At this point I lost it, and they backed off. 8 hours of my life, sad parents and the prices have jumped 30%.

We rely on the individual airlines to keep our site updated in a timely manner, but at times there is a delay. The agents did try to rebook flights for you, and look for other airline options, but nothing worked for you over the thanksgiving holiday. The car was pre-paid so there is a fee to cancel, but as you mentioned the agent "backed off" and the fee was waived.

    They are full of lies and will steal your money! Don't book with them! Impossible to get a hold of customer service. They are difficult to work with and makes many false promises to buy time. It is four days before our flight and we are still being told to wait and call them back in two days! They are also avoiding our phone calls, transfers us to the wrong department, or hangs up on us. I've never had such an infuriating experience with a booking company.

    We booked a flight for four passengers from San Francisco to Europe and spoke over the phone with a customer representative from CheapOair to make sure all the details were correct. The staff member had a very thick Indian accent making it very difficult to understand her. In addition, she was very aggressive and pushy; she pressured us on the flight reservation, upgrades, and trip protection.

    She "guaranteed" us several times that we can cancel or change the flight anytime after booking. She also assured us that we received a preferred seating upgrade with window seating and even gave us the rows in which our seats would be. She also assured us that the seats would be grouped together because she can select the seats. She informed us that it was a package deal which included the flight, preferred seating upgrades, and free cancellation with trip insurance. We asked her three times and we made sure that she repeated the conditions multiple times to be certain. We found out later from United Airlines that no preferred seats were reserved and in fact no seats were even reserved at all.     Now we are trying to make a change to the reservation and they have continuously put us on hold over the course of an hour for each phone call. They also told us that we passed a 24 hour window which the lady never told us about, but rather she told us we can cancel anytime. CheapOair denies any wrongdoing and has been avoiding our phone calls and is unwilling to help make changes to our flight or even give us a refund. They refuse to take any responsibility for the false claims we were given, and they are refusing to give us a refund. They have a recording of the conversation and we have asked them to review the evidence.

    After two weeks of being told to call back and being on hold for hours, we are told that we must book a new reservation THREE days before our flight! We are left deceived and financially impacted because of the poor customer service of CheapOAir. It is three days before our trip and they are still telling us that they don't have an answer for us in terms of making changes to the flight or getting a refund.

    On July 14, 2016, I made a roundtrip purchase from CheapOair website www.cheapoair.com. I selected and confirmed a travel date of September 27, 2016 and a return date of November 7, 2016. However, interestingly, the ticket I received from CheapOair was from September 27, 2016 to December 5, 2016. This disputed booking confirmation was directed to my spam folder, and therefore, was not noticed until July 16, 2016.

    An immediate dispute notice and cancellation request was made to CheapOair on the same day (July 16, 2016) by calling the phone number provided on their website: 1-800-525-0400. But unfortunately, the customer representative simply refused to acknowledge the mistake or adjust the return date. Surprised by the extremely unprofessional attitude of this agent, I respectfully asked him to cancel my ticket altogether and refund my balance. Again, the representative misguided me by saying that I will lose "all" my money ($603.08) if I choose to do so, which is also a "lie" because CheapOair website categorically mentions that, cancellation with future credit is possible for a fee of $50. Horrible experience.

    The site listed an attractive fare but did not identify the airline. I specifically did not want a certain airline so I called the 800 number. Boyce was very helpful in walking me through the different choices and the resulting fare was a savings for our travel (3 adults). When the e-mail confirmation arrived, I noticed a spelling mistake on one passenger and I called immediately. While that error was quickly corrected, the resulting new booking number wasn't sent to me. Once I called, I was given the new booking numbers for that passenger. My suggestion would always be to make sure the client has any changed booking number. The revised booking confirmation did not have new numbers for the one passenger; however, that information was quickly provided -- no real problem.

    Armed with all the booking numbers, I could make seat selections on my own. One segment of travel involves Iberia and a heads up that getting advanced seat assignments is an extra charge on that particular airline would have been good. Maybe I would have chosen a different return flight but again, that's not a deal breaker. The approximate savings per passenger was worth the extra phone calls. And yes, I will try CheapOair again.

    I booked my flight over the phone with a CheapOair agent. During that process and for the two longest flights, we selected "preferred economy" seating, like the seats directly behind exit row seats. I asked multiple times about extra seat charges and was told there were none. After booking I received the confirmation e-mails and was then able to see the seating arrangements, of which I wanted to change two flights. I called back and we changed them seemingly without issue.

    The next day I decided to check the respective airline's (Air New Zealand) website to make sure my seats appeared on their site. To my surprise, only 1 of 3 Air New Zealand flights showed my seats! Air New Zealand told me that they must not have followed through with my booking and seat reservation. I am still in the process of working this out but I have since spent a lot of time on the phone with different agents from both sides. I had to keep asking one CheapOair agent to stay on the line while I received his e-mail confirmations because he kept trying to hang up on me. And both of his update e-mails had seat numbers that did not match what we had JUST discussed. He seemed to know why this was but had no interest in sharing it with me or making it right. Air New Zealand was helpful and let me purchase seats on one flight and confirmed that it is locked in so now I have one more screw-up remaining to fix.

    I finally reached a CheapOair agent who seemed interested in helping me and he readily agreed with my dilemma and said the previous agents had told me wrong. He said he/they are going to contact Air New Zealand to sort it out. That flight (from Houston to Auckland) is now fully booked and at this point I just hope my wife and I can sit together - as promised by CheapOair - on this 13 hour flight. Maybe an honest mistake WAS made when I first booked by telling me that I did not have to follow up by purchasing/confirming my seats with Air New Zealand but either way it has since then been a customer service nightmare with CheapOair. I don't recall requesting this survey to be e-mailed to me so you got what you asked for. Please don't apologize. Just own up by making it right. Thanks for reading.

    Started off bad and got worse!!! No one was at the check-in counter at 6 am. I waited for 30 minutes. One of the Hertz rental people said you can reach them on the 3rd floor. I went upstairs and waited another 45 minutes to be told that the person that was supposed to be at the counter was now available. I showed up to accept the vehicle which was drenched with water after I was driving and the sun came out I noticed that the truck looked like it had been to Iraq and back. Too late. I thought I'm already at my destination!!! My online quote from 137.00 ended up costing me 337.19. Not even close!!! No one will probably care. I travel a lot but "EZ CAR" have lost, which could have been a possible lifetime customer.

    I booked a round-trip ticket from CheapOair on Feb. 28, 2016 from Washington Dulles to New Delhi. As per the marketing tagline of the website, I was offered the cheapest option to come back on August 10, 2016 to Washington DC from New Delhi with 2 stopovers in Munich and Geneva. My return flight details are as follows: Aug. 10th, 2016: Delhi to Munich (LH 0763) - Munich to Geneva (LH 5874) - Geneva to Washington DC (LH 9369). But little did I know in return, I will have to endure a nightmarish experience at the New Delhi airport.

    I was informed by the airline authorities that I need to have a Schengen visa if I am traveling to two layovers in Europe. Not only was I not allowed to board the flight to Munich from New Delhi, stating that I needed Schengen visa to board the flight, there was no refund of the amount of the return ticket. This caused considerable trauma and burnt a hole in my pocket to say the least as I had to book a completely new flight for coming back to Washington DC.

    Please note that I am a graduate student working tirelessly to save money and my hard earned money went down the drain due to this minor yet crucial thing regarding Schengen visa being overlooked. This despite the fact that there was a direct flight from Munich to Washington. Why was then another stopover in Geneva suggested to me without mentioning that a Schengen visa is required in case a passenger has 2 stopovers in Europe. Even the most frequent of travelers to Europe are not fully aware of Schengen visa rules, how can you expect a student traveling after 2 years to her native place to know the same. On calling the call center, nothing was achieved with regards to resolving this issue. Instead, I was told that I will be a given a call back which never came.

    Bottom line is that I was lured into selecting a flight route (from Munich to Geneva) without even a basic advisory with regards to visa related implications, under the pretense of issuing a cheap ticket. This is made even worse by the fact that there was a connecting flight from Munich to Washington already. The company which prides itself in getting the cheapest ticketing options ended up giving a costly and traumatic life experience to me.

    There's a humble request to please ensure that I can get a full refund on the return ticket fare which I had to cancel due to this incident. I am placing my faith in CheapOair and expect that my demand for full refund will be met. If required, I can provide the supporting documents for the new flight that I had to book immediately. I am fully aware of the consumer rights forum and believe that I won't be required to use my rights over there. I received a voicemail from Georgia ** of CheapOair on Aug. 12, 2016 but have not heard back from her since then. I am very disappointed with their customer service and their lack of empathy for their customers.

    Horrible experience with CheapOair!! We paid $790 for two tickets which were labeled flexible tickets which nowhere on the website was it disclosed that this permits them to change your dates of travel without speaking with you which is what exactly happened to us. We chose a departure date and a return date (which both the agent and the manager stated they clearly saw) but then decided to change our flights to the day before and our return flight the next day (the original departure date) so when we went to check in that date we were made aware that a flight was missed and we should be checking in to fly home for later that night. Granted we are very new at this traveling game but when you select a date of travel I expected it to be the date our flight was booked for.

    Apparently according to them this type of ticket lets them choose for you what date to leave and return which had we known we would have used a more credible website and paid a little more for a flight for a trip that we would have been able to go on. Instead we lost out on our trip, our experience at the democratic convention, and our money. Essentially we are out all this money except the $60 that they decided to refund us after 5 hours on the phone with customer service and management. Granted the management did try to assist us with rebooking this flight and did everything she could or assumed since I was on the phone for so long.

    Although I was on hold for about 3 hours of that call and waited about an hour for the manager just to pickup the phone, the first agent was not helpful at all since all she could say was she could get us on another flight the next day for an additional $800. But by then we would lose our hotel reservation and since we were going to the convention all other rooms were booked.

    At the end of my entire day of being on the phone waiting and fighting them to try and correct what I feel is their mistake (even though they say that the ticket labeled flexible covers them) they were able to tell me that they would put in for a refund of up to $500 but all we got back was the $60. Ugh I just wanted to go on my very first flight ever and execute my rights as a citizen to be present at this convention in this election year and all I got was ripped off and disappointment. I would not recommend anyone use this site or if you do make sure you triple check everything with them a couple of times.

    I booked 3 tickets and they made error on 2 tickets. They spell my sis' name wrong and put my son's first name as his last name, last name as his first. I call back to fix it and they couldn't. They listen the full recording and agree that the error was made from their end. More than half of the people working there have no clue what they are doing. I wait for callback and no one call. No one fixed any error. They stated that they fixed them but every time I call back I hear something new and someone more disrespectful. I told them I don't want their service and the person I spoke to started talking over me and telling me rules and regulations. I understand rules and regulations if I made the error, but they made error on 2 tickets. They should be paying out of their pocket not me. I don't want their service anymore.

    I got the tickets on June 21 and today is August 12, 2016 and still nothing got fixed. All I'm doing is keep calling back and waiting for their callback. But still nothing resolved. Then they tell me that the Kuwait Airlines are not fixing and they are waiting for their response. They should pay them to fix the error that they made. Why should I have to? It's wrong. They make these errors on purpose. After going through this I read all the comments people left on Google and all have the same problem with them. They really need to hire better people who don't make error and fix their error from their end and give customers hard time.

    I had to cancel my flight due to my work schedule, starting early. I tried to re-schedule so I was only going for 3 days rather than 7 days. I was told by agent that I had to pay a mandatory fee of $190 plus a $400 additional fare fee!!! Tried to use it to go from San Jose California to San Diego and I was told I had to pay $425!!! That is a one hour flight. I am a very dissatisfied customer who will NEVER book through CheapOair. I travel very often and never did I experience the feeling, that basically the company stole my money because would not even honor the insurance I purchased for the trip.

    We booked a trip and two weeks before our flight, it was canceled. We were told there was a flight the day before and the day after but the flight on our day was mysteriously canceled. We could not book it for the day before because we did not have accommodations. We could not book it for the day after because we would've missed our wedding that we had to go to. We canceled our flight and booked another. Because the flight was canceled, we were assured we would get a refund. I recorded the conversation with the representative where we were told that we would get a full refund within two business cycles. Our trip was approximately $860.     Booked flights with Skyscanner and CheapOair came up. How stupid am I booking with a company with a name like that. I should know better. Cheap is not always good and to have it in their name makes me wonder why the directors could not think of a better name. Booked 3 flights and paid to be told on checking a hour or so later the outward flights were never booked even though I had email confirmation. Only the return flights were booked and it was a issue with the airline?? What good is a return flight without the outward or is this some sort of scam?

    Good news. They eventually told us they could book us on the flight out but had to pay another £60.00 as flights had gone up. Well another lie as we went back on Skyscanner and they were the same price as a hour or so before. I won't be the first or last person to get scammed/ripped off by this company so do yourself a favor and don't be stupid like I was booking with a company with Cheap in their name as "all that glitters is not gold" and if it says cheap it's not always cheap and will probably cost you more!

    After booking a flight and calling back to cancel within the first 24 hours, I was sent an email confirming my cancellation. When I received my CC statement they had charged me and no refund was on their agenda when I called. They said I would have to use flight credit with Frontier with a $100 fine on each ticket. I checked booking time and cancellation email time. It was 24 hours and 7 minutes. My call took 40 minutes according to phone records and they put me on hold twice and waited to cancel it after the 24 hours was up. After sending information with proof to CheapOair they tried to pass me off to Frontier. Also I reserved a car and they charged me in ADVANCE which I have never experienced before with any online travel service. I have used them a lot in the last 5 years, and this isn't the first faux pas - but definitely the deal breaker. I will share on social media (all 3 I use) to spread the word - Cheaposevice!

    I've been called twice about minute schedule changes which I must "confirm" and "accept." The last time I received a call, I checked my schedule and saw that it had NOT changed at all, yet I had to accept changes. I called customer assistance. One agent told me I had to speak with "schedule changes" and transferred me. The call simply terminated. So, I decided to call back again - this time to "schedule changes" which told me I had to speak with Customer Service! So, I called a third time, and had to explain the problem AGAIN.

    This time, however, the Customer Service agent took care of the problem and told me I had to do nothing further. However, again, just this morning, I received an email from CheapOair insisting that I had to review and accept the changes online that I made with the Customer Service agent yesterday. Can you please fix this mechanism that apparently several of your agents do not understand and take care of the redundancy and duplication?

    Baggage fees are accessed by the individual airlines, and in no way are associated with CheapOair as an added expense. When booking your flights, there is a link directly beneath the flight for bag fees it is clearly marked and highlighted in orange. You can check the policy prior to entering in your credit card, and if you don't agree with the policy, no problem you can scratch those flights, and start over. Checked bags are less expensive with this particular airline, and they are at the moment the only airline that charges for carry ons and has been around for many years now. We recommend that everyone check bag rules for each reservation they book so there are no surprises. But the norm is, most domestic airlines are going to charge bag fees, so be prepared.

    I live in Dublin and fly to NY often to visit family. Booked flights with CheapOair - initially found them ok. 2 months later I realised I was landing in Washington Dulles and my next flight was from Reagan 3 hours later. Called up and spoke to customer care who basically said 'If you had a problem you should've called within 24 hours of booking'. When I was paying for my flight over the phone this was never discussed. I was then told it is possible I might miss my connecting flight and if I did they wouldn't honour my connecting flight or my return flight home. They could help change my flights but for an additional 1400 (my flights cost 1800). The agent had the cheek to ask "Can I help you with anything else?" Almost laughable as they had helped me with nothing.

    I am 3 months pregnant, had my 12 yr old boy with respiratory problems with me and had to fly on a 2 week vacation with hand luggage. One carry on was filled with medication and a nebuliser so very little clothes. I spent over 1 hour in customs and then had to cry to skip queues in Washington to run get a cab to the next airport which we made thankfully with only minutes to spare. I fly a lot and often book tickets online without any hassle but I will never use these again nor recommend to anyone. Absolutely horrible company to deal with. I would give no stars if possible!

    In haste, my mother booked a trip yesterday to fly with CheapOair. She clicked all the buttons, sent her VISA info and today, when she reviewed the information realized an error had occurred. Instead of a one way flight from Cardiff Wales to Shannon Ireland which would be roughly $235 she has a return ticket for $1120! Yes she should have caught this error earlier but her life is complicated and when she realized the mistake I called the airlines. After many many many delays "please hold for 2 minutes" I was told nothing could be done. No money will be returned. It feels like a rip-off.     I had the worst booking experience ever. I was looking online for a flight and I saw phone only fare in CheapOair that $200 cheaper than the online one I saw in Expedia so I decided to call and get more information about it. I called and I told them about the dates and everything and the agent told me that flight is not available anymore, even though I can still see it when I refresh the page. They gave me another flight for around $100 more. And because I am already talking to the agent, I decided to book the flight. The agent got all of my information and told me to wait for the confirmation email. But when I got the confirmation email few hours after I saw that the agent got my ticket for another month (I asked for 31st of July and the agent booked for the 31st of August). After calling them back for few hours, I talked to another agent and they told me I need to pay more that $1000 if I want my ticket for the 31st because prices had changed!!!

    After that they transferred me to their supervisor and the only options he gave me are either cancel the flight and get full refund that will come back to my account in more than 3 weeks or change it to the 5th of August because he said there nothing available for similar price on the 31st. And even though I told him that's not fair those were my only option, and by getting refund means all the plans are screwed and I can't even get another flight until I get the refund which is way late after my planning date. So I gave up and got the flight on the 5th of August even though it's late for me and it was the only option according to them.

    The next day I tried CheapOair website and I found a flight on the 31st of July for similar price. I called to ask about the flight and it's available for similar price, but when I told them about my story and I want to change my ticket they asked me to pay changing fees and fare difference that around $1900!!! After talking to few agent they transferred me to someone higher and he couldn't help me. He offered me a full refund or I have to pay (their reason was that I accepted the 5th of August. I shouldn't have accepted that). When he couldn't help me he asked for my number and he told me his supervisor will call me to see what he can do, and I didn't receive anything until today. I just wish I have saved myself all that hustle and use Expedia instead.

    Booked a flight back in May so I would be assured of seat assignments. CheapOair allowed me to book everything. Then about 6 weeks later sent an email stating my seats were no longer confirmed. Contacted the airline and was told we had been bumped and there were no seats available on our flight. I contacted the customer service twice with no resolution. Asked for a refund due to misleading information and unethical business practice. Denied.

    If they cannot confirm seats then they should not allow passengers to select them. I had to pay the airline an additional fee to upgrade so I could get a seat on my flight I book 3 months ago.     We have had a very unique experience well at least for us. My family and I are seasoned travelers and go home to Turkey often. We booked our flights on CheapOair this time (first time) and was very happy with the initial booking. Then there was coup in Turkey and a number of other things, we decided not to go. After (no joke) 6 hours on the phone with Delta and CheapOair we got our tickets canceled and Delta agreed to waive the $300 fee per person. Great. We had to use the credit before Feb. 10, 2017 so we decided to fly somewhere in the US while it was still summer.

    We called CheapOair then we called Delta then we called CheapOair who put me on hold for hours. Then after hours on hold, I was told they were going to call back in 1 hour. After 3 hrs I called back and was told again that the first agent I spoke to was going to call me back. Another hour went by, I called back. After again being on hold for an hour, I got disconnected and had to call back.

    The most frustrating thing is that I feel helpless and they have $2500 credit of mine and I want to use it. It is like they do everything they can to frustrate me so I can just give up and forfeit the money. Also the price I was given for the makeup trip I want to take was $1000 more than what I found on Delta.com. Delta has been great and I have learned a HUGE lesson. I will book directly with airlines from now on. This is so not worth my time and frustration to save a few hundred $$$. I only have the time now because I am a teacher and it is summer.

But now you have to purchase the new tickets so another charge had to be put through.     Booked a flight this February for Thanksgiving week to Houston, TX. I've never experienced a flight being changed so many times and getting from going to TX I had a nonstop flight. Now I have layovers to and from my destination. Every time CheapOair changed my flight I would deny it because the times were more inconvenient. I called customer service to speak to a representative which it wasn't a pleasant one and I just hung up. It's disappointing to book and get a representative to be nasty too. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!! As a travel agency we don't get the opportunity to provide you with the flights, the airline gives us the flights in which we have to pass along to you. This is very common and my apologies that they have caused an inconvenience. In most cases if the flights no longer work for you, and they have provided you with all their options, a refund is usually granted. I can send this to our schedule change team who will reach out to the airline and start the refund process. But keep in mind, if you still take this trip, you would be looking at a new ticket at today's cost.

    Went to the website to find a flight for 2 people from BWI to Memphis TN. The flights presented was an exceptional value on American Airlines, but you had to call an agent for that price. I placed the call and was told that that flight and price was no longer available, but he could get me 2 tickets on Southwest for $740 total and this would include seat selection. That in itself should have sent up a "red flag" that something was fishy because I have flown Southwest numerous times and I know that they do not preassign seats, but I didn't question.

    I provided my credit card information and proceeded with the purchase. Afterward, I went to the Southwest website and entered my travel dates only to discover that the round trip flight was only $546 including taxes. I checked my credit card statement to find that there was a charge to CheapOair for $179.00 and a charge to Southwest for $546.00. So in reality, I should have booked myself though Southwest. I just gave CheapOair $179.00 for nothing. I have used several travel site before and have never been swindled as the airfare was always better than the airline website. I will never use this site again and would not recommend it to anyone.

    Do not deal with this people. They have a handful of tricks to charge the hell out of you when booking with them for any change, adding people to the reservation, etc. Not recommended. Besides, and worst of all. My 12 year old daughter reservation was cancelled and she could not make her trip. We learned her trip was cancelled at the ticket counter yesterday in Houston. When I called them yesterday, they said they had an issue with the credit card and wanted to sell me another ticket. Can you believe this?     This will be the first and last time to CheapOair. I was charged $29.90 for seat enhancement without my approval. Agents was rude, no compassion with customer - all they wanted is to sell! An agent saying I can't get seat assignment without their help, but I called Asiana, and it was taken care of right away. Agent, talking me out of my "travel insurance??!" I said I want to be insured, so that I will just add the seat enhancement! I'm so frustrated and disappointed!

    Suset, sorry for the service you received. We have reviewed the calls and didn't find the agent to be rude, in fact was being very helpful. Our apologies if you didn't feel you needed to purchase the service for selecting seat assignments, it's a feature we often offer due to some airlines don't allow pre-assign seats, and or they do charge themselves at a higher cost. But when you did contact us, it was refunded immediately. Appears Asiana is one of the carriers who will allow seats at no cost. My apologies for any inconvenience!

    Had really good service. Agent spent quite a bit of time with me with my booking and answering all questions. Was very courteous & helpful. Then I made an error when doing my seat assignment online & had to call back. Again the agent was very helpful. Took his time with me in getting corrected and crediting account. I will probably use CheapOair again if need be. Used because another person I know uses them. Very satisfied.

    My CheapOAir experience was very good. Delta Airlines had equipment failure and caused us to be late at our destination on our first day. On our return flight an accident at a service station caused us to miss our flight and CheapOair advised us as to how to use our travel insurance.

    ** you and your website. Always giving wrong information about fees, prices and cancellations. Train your staff to say same things to customer. Got ticket from Seoul to Bishkek last winter and couldn't go. Didn't get any cancellations, even taxes. The flight did cost over 1000$, nothing I got back! Called and complained to your office in US and India. Nothing has been done. Now my fiance booked flight through this site. Guess, what has happened. Your consultant said over the phone that cancellation of just a booking would cost 30 dollars. He did cancel booking, but you charged 64$ instead of said 30$. ** you in the ass and whole of your company. You are the worst.

    The absolute worst company to deal with. They take your money and blame the airline and won't deal with their customers. They have no extension numbers, one person tells you one thing another, another thing. I travel 3-4 times a year and for the first time decided to book with them and it was one of the worst decisions I've ever made. My outbound flight was cancelled because I did not take the entire inbound flight due to a family emergency even though I informed them as well as the airline. ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY TO BOOK WITH. THEY ARE SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE AND FULL OF LIES. Such a rip off. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. I'd rather pay an extra couple hundred of dollars than deal with them. I literally called 50+ times, was on hold for over an hour (no exaggeration) and still they did absolutely nothing for me and told me I had to pay for a whole new ticket and pay over $2000. RIDICULOUS.
