I spent considerable time making a booking for a group of people at a price that fit their budgets. After numerous calls to verify my credit card details I was told all was OK. The following day I receive an email saying the tickets couldn't be issued at that price. The button to show new fares took me to a page that did not show the changes. I called again. I was told that the fares had been increased almost 50% so I asked for the booking to be held while I conferred with the passengers for whom I was making the booking.
However, before I called back to discuss the booking once more I noticed a new email was sent explaining that the 'additional charge' 'per passenger' was different to the numbers I'd been told along with a different 'total cost to change this itinerary including taxes and fees'. Another email followed three times, with different numbers yet again. I therefore called again. The final numbers were confirmed through two more emails. Finally, I was able to confirm the flights. The whole process has taken a couple of hours across 3 days.
Mr. Brampton,. our apologies for the inconvenience that our credit card verification process may of caused you. Due to the high risk of internet fraud, we follow a process that can be tedious, but it is for your own protection. We had tried several times to reach your bank, as well as you, and emails went unread until Jan 5, at this time, the fare was no longer available, due to the lapse between booking Jan 2 and actually making contact with you Jan 4. We did finally contact you, and happy to say the reservation was confirmed, and tickets have been issued.

I have used CheapOair ONCE before. Even after reading numerous reviews, I thought I'd still give them the benefit of the doubt. The first time I used them was while travelling to school from the US to the Caribbean. I was stuck overnight on a random island and had to stay at the airport while I struggled to book my flight for the next day. Worst was that the airport closed at night time so I actually stayed on a bench outside the airport while guarding all my luggage! This time, I booked a flight to Dubai. My husband does not have a US passport but is a permanent resident. He called and SPOKE to a CheapOair rep to book our flight. He explicitly mentioned that he has an Asian passport and NOT a US passport. The rep was confident and confirmed to my husband that he understands and guarantees there won't be any issues.
My husband, me and our 2 year old son paid a hefty $3500 for our tickets thus confirmed with the agent that we don't run into any problems. Going to Dubai, we had 1 stop over in Amsterdam. Returning, the agent had booked our tickets for 2 stop overs, Amsterdam and Paris. When it was time for us to return to the US, we went to the airport. When we got there, we were told by the airline (KLM) that since my husband does not have a US passport, he cannot travel thru 2 "Schengen countries" - the first time we ever hear this term. Instead of offering a different route, KLM cancelled our ticket saying "you booked it from CheapOair, you need to deal with them!" (Yes I will leave KLM this review as well!)
You would think that the CheapOair agent would be given proper training and would know of the Schengen Treaty before they helped you book your tickets! But the customer service rep ("Mitch") nor his supervisor ("Rodrick" the western-named agents with the thickest Indian accents) knew what the Schengen Treaty was and had to call KLM for clarification!
The supervisor asked and put me on hold for an hour and reviewed the call by my husband when he called to book the flight to make sure he noted that he had a foreign passport or not to the agent. He came back and said "yes he did say and it was our agent's error that he booked your flight like this". I was like "okay, can you please give us another flight back home?" After another 30 minute hold, the rep told me about another flight back home with only 1 stop over and at the end of telling me about the flight, said it would be $3000! He said he can't do much.
After more back and forth, and being handed over to multiple agents and supervisor, I was told that the best they can do was give us a ticket 2 weeks after (my husbands and my work started in less than a week! ), and on top of that asked us to cover some of the cost ($800) because "you need to understand our position and costs too"! Now I must pay for the mistake of an extremely incompetent company that needs to learn about their business before actually running it! I would advise to stay clear of CheapOair and either use someone more professional or the airline directly so they can actually help you at the airport in a time of worry or God-forbid, a more serious crisis.

I booked a multi-leg flight at 7pm TUESDAY. I chatted online to make a change to the first leg of the flight at 10pm - I was told it was $129. I said that the difference in the cost is only $30. She said I could change it for $90. I told her I would call in the morning. So I call in the morning and I'm told it is $80 to change it. I told the rep that I understand I can cancel for free and it's cheaper on Kayak. He told me there was a $25 cancellation Fee. I said OK. THEN I find out there is an ADDITIONAL $60 non-refundable fee because it was more than 4 hours. So THE COST OF THE CANCELLATION WAS MORE THAN THE CHANGE - and this was not communicated to me. Graham, tickets are electronic, therefore you don't receive actual paper tickets. You will be emailed a confirmation which contains the electronic ticket number. 24 hours prior to departure, you will do directly to the airline website and checkin, and print your boarding passes. Let us know if you require any further assistance.

I booked a flight from Jinan to Toronto in the morning (China time) and waited several hours for the ticket to be processed. I was told 20 hours later that the credit card was declined. The card company said no one attempted to charge the card. I had called customer support several times and no one ever told me that the card was declined.
I wasted a lot of time dealing with this and spoke to several representatives and no one told me anything about the card being declined. They told me each time that they were completing a verification process (but the credit card company said that no one made any attempts with them to verify the card in the past day). No email notifications were sent either. I had to cancel the booking with CheapOair (why would I have to cancel if the card was declined?) and then book through Expedia.ca. The booking with Expedia went through without any problems. I was issued an eticket immediately. I understand the website can't necessarily be updated instantly, but I've been trying to book it since before noon today and it is now almost 3pm. I tried calling the call center to book it and now the flight shows at twice the price than I have been seeing it all morning. I am quite disappointed. This has never happened to me before.
Marie, our apologies for the inconvenience. The pricing is cached so it can take the site upto 24 hours to update. We rely on the airline to update the availability, and pricing, and at times there is a delay. You did mention that eventually the site did update. Perhaps choosing a flexible date, there would be a cheaper fare for your trip.

As a consumer it's frustrating (especially on mobile) because you either have to start the whole process over and hope to get a better deal or just bite the bullet and let them upcharge you. I always prefer making changes (including cancellations) online, but that wasn't possible. CheapO just couldn't resist trying to sell me on a "change" instead of "cancellation". Well, kids--if I'd had the info to make a change, I would have. I don't appreciate the pressure (however gentle) not to cancel. But Amelia was professional and the cancellation (once we got past the "change/cancel" hurdle) was quick and painless. But there is NO reason for it to take more than 7 days to refund my money except, of course, CheapO's interest-skimming. Yes, I know about that.
Dear Susan, sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience. We don't allow changes via the website on your own due to the types of tickets we sell, and the airline penalties and add collects that are associated with a change. If you have used other travel sites, you will notice they don't allow changes either with out speaking with a sales agent, only some airlines offer that. As for "skimming" the money, the money is with the airline you chose to fly with, we are the travel agency and anything purchased on our site goes to the airline to pay for your passage, so the misconception that CheapOair keeps the funds its not correct. Refunds have to go through an airline accounting company once we request it, and from there, goes to the airline accounting department which authorizes the refund. So with the long process, it can take upto 30 days to receive a refund. But happy that Amelia was able to provide professional assistance to you.

Especially since I called the very same day when I discovered my error. I personally feel that this is not a good business practice, but will continue to try and make reservations through CheapOair.
Betsy, at times the money will be back sooner if the ticket was voided, it all depends on your bank and when they will release the pre-authorization that is actually the charge you are seeing. So it may only take 3 days, but check with your bank, they maybe able to release the funds sooner.

I would give 5 stars except that when I called within one hour to cancel my flight because I had found a cheaper price, I was promised that the price could be matched and a partial refund issued. I was told I would receive an email within 1-2 hrs to confirm this information. After 2 hrs had passed and I still hadn't heard anything, I contacted customer service via chat to follow up. They once again assured me that I would get an email to confirm the refund within 1-2 hours. Over 12 hours later I still have not received any such email.

Your website is riddled with problems when it comes to logging in and redeeming points. For the past 2 weeks, I have attempted to log in to claim 10,000+ points that I have accumulated on flights. I have not once successfully been able to log in, on two current version browsers (Firefox and Chrome). When attempting to log in to access my points on the app (which I have been trying to do for months), the app crashes repeatedly, logs me out, and displays error messages. This is unacceptable. You offer a rewards points program with points that cannot be redeemed. But the purchase process, of course, works smoothly. I do not recommend your service, as I think this is a breach of responsibility to your customers, and I am reaching the point that I may write publicly about my negative experience in this regard. I would like to speak to a customer service agent as soon as possible to remedy this situation.

I am not sure what the processes with your company but whatever it is the experience I had was beyond horrendous. My reservation was canceled twice claiming that my bank would verify my information. So for the third time I place my reservation I contacted the credit card verification team, and they reached out to my bank. My bank then verified my information and then the representative proceeded to tell me that he would call me right back to verify my phone number. 45 minutes later of me standing next to my phone still no call so I decided to call back. After calling that I receive another representative that didn't know what's going on from the credit card verification team transferred me to someone that supposedly a supervisor. Then after that they reached out to a supervisor that happen to be out for a walk and should be back in 10 minutes.
45 minutes of me being on hold and supposedly getting a callback and my tickets being booked I still have no tickets. I have no confirmation but bank verification has already been done. Then I proceed with anger and I told the representative to cancel my ticket right away. I directly contacted Virgin Air and I landed up getting the tickets even cheaper. Even when I tell the representative cancel the tickets right away magically the supervisor happened to be standing right there when two seconds ago he was nowhere to be found. He mentions he can bring the supervisor on the phone and I told him, "I don't want to speak to anyone anymore. If I don't have my eTicket number in the next two seconds just cancel my tickets."
30 to 45 minutes after that I finally got my tickets canceled, booked my own flight through Virgin Air and I didn't have to deal with the madness your company has to offer. I was really looking forward to using your company for the first time since it seemed like a seamless and a really good idea but you guys have prove me otherwise on several occasions. Then I was informed that he could not fly alone, so within 30 minutes I cancelled the flight and was told I would receive the full refund... Then I received an email stating my refund was processed for only 86.25. I am also waiting for another refund from months ago, which was never refunded as promised.
Mr. Ranke, after looking over the reservation it was determined that you called a month later to cancel the reservation. The airline tickets are non refundable. When the agent canceled and sent you an email, it was to advise you of a partial refund for insurance, and seat assignments, not the cost of the plane ticket. However, you have taken it as a refund including the cost of the airline tickets, which is not the case. Also, your plane ticket for the booking you gave here is not 332.00 but was for $121.20 you were given refunds on dec 21 in the amount of $24.00, $86.25, and $14.95 for any further assistance or questions regarding this, please contact our billing department.

Due to issues relating to American Airlines' decision to change its schedule, it became necessary for me to cancel a reservation made through CheapOair. That cancellation was made on October 10, 2016. 2.5 months later, after receiving a number of emails indicating the refund was still in the "process" status, I called their billing department and was basically told that I was "at the mercy of American Airlines." The next day I received an email indicating that my refund was being processed and it would take one to two billing cycles before I would receive the refund. That notification effectively means that I'm looking at having to wait another 60 days or so before I'll see the refund.
Frankly this is simply unacceptable. But what I find even more unacceptable is the "Enhanced Seating Assignment Service fee in the amount of $ 27.90." that CheapOair charged when I made the reservation. No offer was made relative to a refund of this charge until I raised the issue with someone in their billing department. I guess he felt that a refund was in order since that charge related to a trip that I had canceled. Not refunded was an additional $10 charge that they impose for the services they deliver (obviously an overvalued charge given the challenges I have faced relative to what I've experienced). I guess my point in all of this is to serve as a warning to other potential CheapOair customers. The bottom line is consumers should not be treated so poorly.

I will never, and I mean NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN FOR ANYTHING. Not only did I just lose every cent of the $337.16 I spent on the round trip flights to Mexico, but I have never dealt with such rude and incompetent people, EVER. A month ago my friend and I both booked round trip flights from Florida to Cancun and we ended up not being able to make the trip. I called four times to cancel my flight, beginning on Monday and it is now Wednesday. The first time I called, the call dropped and no one bothered to call me back. I called again and was on hold for almost 40 minutes. Called again and was told that they would submit a claim and call me back within four hours. No one called me back. Called a 4th time and was told, "sorry mam, but we only return phone calls to those in the United States and the United Kingdom." I LIVE IN FLORIDA.
Then after getting the run around from this woman, I finally get a supervisor on the phone and after another 30 minutes of being on the phone with him, absolutely nothing was resolved. I was told that because my outgoing ticket was with one airline and the incoming was with another and both of them had penalty fees of $200 to reschedule the flights, I would have to pay $400 just in penalties leaving no credit and no refund. Here is the real kicker, my friend who was traveling with me to Mexico, she called yesterday, paid a $10 penalty and is receiving a full refund in a week and a half. Under no circumstances should anyone ever have to pay that amount of money to a company and just lose all of it, because life happens - things come up. And under no circumstances should I ever have to call a company four times to receive customer service, let alone poor customer service.
I don't care whose fault it is as far as the "fine print", whether it's CheapOair or the airlines, because they're obviously in cahoots and their policies are set up to cheat people out of their money. It's a scam. I wasn't even asking for a full refund, but certainly feel entitled to one considering my travel companion is receiving her money back, but to not even offer a reasonable flight credit towards future travel, that's absolutely unacceptable. You can't cheat someone out of nearly $400 and expect them not to bat an eye, especially not one with a thirteen year legal background. I plan to pursue this in every way possible, because no matter how you look at it, the entire experience is just wrong. Shame on this company - you've lost my business permanently.

I totally understand how things work when it comes to customer service on selling stuff to clients. Before I start complaining let me share my experience with CheapOair business. I called on their 1800 number to reserve round trip from USA to home country. One of the female representative answered the call and started taking details to give us the quotes for the specific dates. While she is doing that I have mentioned her that I don't have complete details of other passengers which I would be sharing with you tomorrow only if I am comfortable with the flight fare.
She gave me the quote which seems good for me. So below are the things she promised. "Sir you can correct their names within 24 hours of time by calling us. Please do the reservation now and I can change them tomorrow. Sir in case you decide to cancel you have 24 hours to cancel for free." And then she sold us protection plan for which we can cancel ticket after 24 hours passed with a full refund. I bought the tickets by paying full amount using my credit card but trust me I re verified above statements multiple times in the process so that I don't misunderstand her.
Now after 12 hours I called them to update my fellow passengers information. Different person answered the call. I told him that is there a way I can talk with the person who assisted us yesterday and then he replies "No sir, it is not possible," rude voice. Which is fine with me then I explained him that situation and started giving him the information of other passengers to update and then this is what it comes out of his mouth. "Sir we cannot change names of the passenger nor update the information once the reservation is done. If you wanted to update it will cost you $250 per passenger."
And then I told him how come she lied about this? And then I asked him to cancel our tickets since its within 24 hours span then he says, "Sir we cannot cancel the tickets, it will cost you." I was irritated, called my bank to see if they can keep a hold on transaction but it was too late. I called them again requesting to put their supervisor online.
This is funny, they put me on hold for 15 min and then call got disconnected. It happened twice. I called them again now with a pleasant voice to see if there is any other way I can update, then they said that they can cancel only on one condition, that is if my return date is next day, this is because the rates are cheaper that day. And I finally made reservation for that day. My personal suggestion for everyone is to book your flights through Expedia or direct airlines authorized sites who don't lie to their clients.

I booked a flight in October, leaving on Dec 20, 2016 to join my family for Christmas overseas. I arrived at the airport and try to check in, only for the airline operating the flight, Swiss, to inform me they do not have me in their system. Because CheapOair booked my flight through Air Canada, Swiss advised me to speak with Air Canada ticketing. Air Canada ticketing explained that my original flight from Montreal to Zurich had been cancelled due to something called "ticket time limit expiration". This meant that although I paid CheapOair for a flight, their system didn't confirm it on time with Air Canada. I then called the helpline, where a supervisor advised I be a bit more insistent with demanding to be put on a flight. Air Canada refused, placing the blame on CheapOair.
The supervisor then said he'd call Air Canada to fix the situation and call me back. After two hours of waiting at the airport and missing my flight, I called the help line again. A new supervisor now recommended I cancel my reservation and get a refund, then purchase a new ticket. My original ticket cost 860$. The same ticket now costs 3000$. He recommended this because "it would take about a week to sort the situation out". I'm currently sitting in the airport, waiting for a call and with no credible timetable for fixing the situation. I must ask, when one pays for a service then doesn't receive it, what is that called?

I was given a $646 credit and when I went to rebook another flight that was only $540, I was told I would have to pay the $200 rebooking fee and then an additional $100 because my new flight wasn't in the same class as the previous flight I booked - which the customer care representative could not explain to me.
In the end, I had to pay $400 to use my credit! Ridiculous!! And I was on the phone for over an hour trying to get this resolved. I could not understand the accent of the person on the phone and the person I was talking to could not transfer me to anyone to help me! We purchased our tickets to Punta Cana, DR through CheapOair. The tickets were very affordable from a lower end airline (that should have been our first clue that we were going to have issues). My husband said that when he purchased the tickets, there were no negative reviews on the airline. Well, one month before our trip, we received an e-mail from CheapOair stating the flight had been cancelled by the airline. There were a number of horrible reviews regarding the airline stating that flights had been cancelled without notification so at least we were notified by CheapOair.
When we asked about the refund, we were told that we had to make the request, that it wouldn't be automatic. Fine, we made the request for the refund. We received the ticket insurance refund quickly which was for $27; however, the cost of the tickets was not refunded right away. We were told 30-60 days and 1-2 billing cycles. So we waited patiently. Once the time period passed and there was no refund, we began contacting customer service once again. At first we were being told mixed messages about the refund process including the refund would have to come from the airline.
Every time we call we are now told that it takes a certain time period which has passed. We are told the refund was processed on 9/2/16; however, it has not come through. We provided our credit card statements that show that we have not received the payment. We keep getting the runaround being told that the issue is being sent to the accounting department. However, we never get anything in response after we are told we would receive a call within a certain time period. I was even put on hold for more than 20 minutes to just be told that they will investigate further.
My husband has even tried e-mailing customer service. He received a response that was intended for another customer (wrong booking number, credit card number and refund amount) showing that we are not the only ones having issues receiving a refund. I called customer service again and requested to speak to a supervisor. I was told that one was not available and would receive a call back. No call back. I called again today and spoke to a supervisor who gave me the same information we have been receiving.
She requested the statements again. She even tried calling the accounting department while I was on the line but no one was available. It has been the most frustrating, unorganized, unprofessional process. If our flight wasn't cancelled, then yes everything would have been fine. Perhaps if we had used a well known airline like United we would not be experiencing this issue. My suggestion would of course be just buy the tickets directly through the airline. We ended paying triple for our flights because it was one month before our trip. The aggravation has not been worth it especially since we ended up paying even more for our flight and have not received our refund.

And after being on the phone all day with numerous people still nothing was resolved and CheapOair was trying to make the Airlines pay when they couldn't because they could not access our ticket information.
We then call the next day and are given a confirmation to a new itinerary. Very happy. We go to the airport with all our bags only to be told the itinerary was fake and the tickets had not been paid for, we obviously call CheapOair and they're denying ever sending the email/itinerary... We spend all day (it's been 3 days) contacting the Airlines and there is just nothing they can do because cheapoair is the agent who oversees anything.
We tell them about our insurance. They say our situation isn't covered only delays and deaths. So because no one dies on occasion they expect to keep all that money for their own use. They then call and say because we booked early our ticket cost can't be changed because it's not worth how much it is right now and they just put us on hold and say they will contact us in 4 days and hang up not even caring about us and our situation. Once customer service is aware that you want to cancel your reservation they never get back to you and keep you on hold for hours… It will probably end up being four. I've currently been on hold for over two hours. The CSR I briefly spoke to said he'd get right back to me at the other check on something… That was a half hour ago. CheapOair is ok to use if you don't have any problem or issue. If you do however and need to deal with their customer service team you are likely to be incredibly disappointed. My experience had a CSR person outright lie to me and when I followed up with a manager (finally getting a hold of him after 2 hours or trying, being cut off, phone ringing for hundreds of times, or never getting connected at all.) The manager was not any more helpful. He was condescending and just kept repeating his lines from the script they must be provided. Clearly the manager was not given any ability to think or make decisions on his own. My whole experience in dealing with this company was frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend taking a chance with them.
They don't care about the customer even though they claim to. Nothing is customer driven unless you are satisfied with their policies which are clearly written for their own benefit and not the customers. The issues I had with my hotel were addressed appropriately by the hotel manager, however the only way to get a refund if you book through CheapOair is to get your refund from CheapOair, so even though the hotel manager made a commitment to me, CheapOair refused to honor the commitment made by the hotel. It makes no sense and yet they insist that is all they can do. Even the hotel manager cannot make sense of this, but even though they say they called him, they did not. No one contacted the hotel manager and yet they told me that the hotel manager had authorized a refund of X which was less than what I was promised. The whole experience was ridiculous. Please look elsewhere to book your trip.
Joanne, the problem you had was with the hotel itself. The hotel manager agreed you should get a 1 night refund, in which they approved $59.00 that was the cost for one night. We refunded you that plus and additional $20.00 making the total refund $79.00 for a $59.00 a night rate. After we provided you with the information, you asked for $100.00. Unfortunately, the hotel manager offered 1 night refund in which you were given that, plus an additional $20.00 that we compensated you for. The problem was with the hotel service, cleanliness, and not something CheapOair did. Therefore, any additional monies you are requesting, you would have to take it up with the hotel. Our apologies if you felt the agents were less than truthful, the calls were reviewed and found them to provide you with the correct information, and with respect.

Chaz said, since I was a senior and had done business with CheapOair before, he would give me a great deal of $1070 or $2140 the two tickets. I bought the tickets. Later, my wife saw the same tickets on CheapOair, for the same date, at $1055 and $1067. I called back, Alana said $1055 tickets were all gone, but she would give me a rebate, so I would only pay $1067, for each ticket I had already bought. Now, CheapOair is advertising the same tickets for $1053 again. We will use the tickets I bought from you, but this will be the last time we will use your service. It seems like you are running a bait and switch business. Last night, my wife showed me an ad from one of your competitors, advertising the same exact tickets I bought from you, for just $1036 each.

Not only did I get my flight booked but was given information I wasn't expecting such as different rates, airlines and travel times from my departure to my airport destination. This is my first flight and great experience with the agent who was very patient and even allowed me get my husband on 3 way which took 3 different calls.

I am very disappointed in CheapOair. I have called twice now, I have been redirected and still no concrete help. I purchased a ticket online through CheapOair.uk, and on the very last page when I have input all my information (including card, country... etc) the final price quoted was 228.99 pounds, but as soon as I click to confirm and book the purchase the price automatically jumps to 240.64 pounds and that is the amount I am billed. I recorded the incident because I have had issues with third party suppliers in the past.
In the first video I am filling out information and I see that it is 240.64 pounds and you can hear in the video where I ask myself why do I have a card payment fee and I see that the visa CREDIT option has been selected, and I go change it to visa DEBIT which has NO EXTRA charge! In the video you can see the price goes BACK down to 228.99 pounds. I go through my information and triple check everything is correct with the 228.99 pounds price, and I also read the agreement on the bottom of the page that ALL taxes and FEES are included in that price (which is also outlined below by your policy).
At the end of the first video I curse because I see the price jump to 240.64 pounds, and I have attached the second video showing the final price I am charged (240.64 pounds). According to the video you are in violation with your own policy and against the policy of the USA Department of Transportation Aviation rules concerning fares and fees. Any fee I would need to pay SHOULD have been explicitly stated on the last page, but it was not.
The price stated when I booked the ticket (228.99 pounds) when I purchased the ticket should be honored, and I believe this ordeal was an incredible inconvenience and I would hope you would do everything in your power to restore my faith in your company. I hope to receive the difference of 11.65 pounds back on my card, as well as any promotional code or voucher that may make up for my inconvenience.

To catch that flight I have to buy new ticket on the spot for 349 AUD. As it was due to CheapOair failed to pass booking to Virgin, which Virgin Airlines confirmed, next thing I did called CheapOair asked for refund. They took 2 months and agree to refund and now they want to refund only 73 Dollars which is ridiculous. When try to talk to them, they are rude. Will never buy from CheapOair. They are scammers.

I am very disgusted with CheapOair as a company who only seem to care about making money and booking a deal as opposed to working with people and being good on what you promise. I will detail my reasons below: 11/29 - Called CheapOair and spoke to Ridge to book my flight. Explained my flight time preferences and importance of having three seats together. As we spoke on the phone I informed him I see a cheaper deal on cheapoair.com and he found me a cheaper flight as well and therefore I booked and paid a small additional fee to have seats together. When I received the itinerary I saw that I can select my seats which I was able to for my departing flight but unable to for my return flight since there were no two seats together. That led to call number 2.
11/30 - I spoke to Alanna who informed me there were no three seats together on the return flight but was able to work with me and book a new return flight for an additional amount but she did credit the seat together fee from the original flight. When I received my email itinerary I saw that only one seat was booked for the return flight and I could not on my own select three seats together. That led to call #3.
12/1 - I spoke to Durward who took my information and when I explained what happened he told me he would need to charge me the sit-together fee to book our seats together on the return flight. I explained how I refuse to pay that and had this very same conversation the day before and he HUNG UP on me. The call was not disconnected because he did not call me back. This leads to call #4.
12/1 - I waited a few minutes after I was hung up on to see if I would get a call back and when I did not I called again and spoke to Blaze. He informed me my seats were already booked together even though they are not showing on the itinerary. He walked me through the process of looking at them on the JetBlue website to see that indeed all three seats were confirmed together.
I am extremely frustrated that it took me all this time and effort (even in writing this email now) just to get a simple flight booked. The original Delta flight that was booked caused my deal to be cheaper so I believe the agent lied to me to book so I wouldn't have taken the cheaper deal with another company. Now that I have booked and am already paying more money I was happy just to have my seats together but that seemed to be an ordeal in itself. And to be hung up on, that's just plain unprofessional and rude when although my tone was stern I was not cursing or insulting. I will never use this website again and will inform all my family and friends not to do so as well. On top of it when I looked at the flights on CheapOair today they were about $1400! I am not happy at all!

Now, I have a big problem. I cannot walk that far. I could have booked a different hotel nearby but now I will be charged a penalty if I cancel my early booking. I'm now FORCED to rent a car and drive 20 miles to an unfamiliar place. As much as possible I don't like to drive. It's stressful for me. The process was very nice and my request was not easy with different airports. The agent got my daughter and me on the same flight which I would never have thought of doing if I'd done it myself online. I'm not sure how to do the multiple airports online and appreciated your phone service. The agent was cheerful and continued to check back which I appreciated. It took a long time but not nearly as long as if I'd tried to do it myself and I made dinner while I waited. :-) I offer one suggestion. I was concerned about the Super 8 hotel and asked if it was good enough. I would rather pay more and be assured that it will be clean and well maintained. I asked about the rating and was brushed off with the statement that it had good reviews. That does not appear to be completely accurate when I check online after making the reservation. I may need to go online and book a new clean hotel and just give this one up.

First my father passed away so I needed to buy a plane ticket fast to go deal with everything. So I searched specific dates. Selected the cheapest one and purchased only to find out after that the reason it was the cheapest is because it’s not even the dates I requested. So I called them and they quickly changed it but made me pay 100% of the difference which was $38. I thought fine... I really need the tickets. So service right there to me dropped. But then it gets worse... I look at my credit card and they charged the original plane ticket of $919 twice. Once for the order I did and again after they fixed my tickets. But no refund for the second one. So I called them and they said that they only have 1 charge to call my bank. So I did and bank says yes they charged me twice.
So I emailed Cheapoair billing department and explained everything. All they said was sorry but the other charge is a verification charge and it gets refunded after 5 business days... I’m sorry but I have to pay for a FUNERAL HERE... I can’t afford to just WAIT for my $919 to come BACK. They said sorry again, nothing else they can do. I’m sorry but if that’s the service they give and don’t even bother to give compensation or anything for mistakes and errors they made... That's not customer service in any way. Should not have gone with a company I didn’t know.
Dear Francis, our apologies for the inconvenience. When you use a bank debit card, your bank get's an automatic approval code for the value of the purchase. Once the tickets get issued, that is when the charge goes through, so it does appear that you have been charged twice. Your bank should realize this, because one of the charges show PENDING. They will release the pending authorization within a few days, but is entirely upto your banking institutes polices. We do understand this can be an inconvenience, but we cannot release funds back into your account immediately, only your bank can.

Thinking I could get AT LEAST $20.00 off of one of my flights after spending 3,500 dollars worth of flights on a previous trip, the agent I spoke with would not even allow me to use my rewards gift card of $10.00 from Cheapoair along with a promo code they were currently advertising. To even have a "rewards" program and then be rude to the customers about questions and concerns is a major turnoff from the company. I will not be using Cheapoair again.

I don't know where to begin with this website. I booked a hotel for one night for a price stated on their website. Once I arrive at my destination, the hotel charges me a different rate in US stating that the hotel was booked at a different amount. They charged me $100 more plus $5 service charge. I call CheapOair website for some answers. I clearly have a confirmation number and my credit card info clearly stated.
I get sent from one department to the next, hotels to billing, billings to hotel, then back to senior customer service representative. They inform me that "no billing department exists for hotels, only flights". Why would you sell hotels if you do not have someone to take care of the issues that arise? No manager has answered my phone call, none exists! Every call is sent to a representative in India who absolutely has no clue. This is the worst customer service I have received. We ordered tickets through CheapOair for 3 tickets to Colorado. The agent asked us if we wanted to buy insurance for our tickets in case something may come up and we needed to cancel. So we bought insurance on each ticket that cost us an extra 120.00. Well something did come up... a very serious medical problem that was going to be a long term issue. We called CheapOair and explained that we needed to cancel the tickets and to please refund us the money. They said, "No, there is a no refund policy." I said, "But the agent sold us insurance so we could cancel without any problems at any time." CheapOair said, "No, we cannot refund your money, you need to go through the insurance company and ask them for the refund."
So we called the insurance company and they said, "We cannot give you a refund until you have cancelled your flights." So we canceled our flights and then called the insurance company back and they said they "DO NOT REFUND MONEY FOR CANCELLED FLIGHTS!" We said, "But the CheapOair agent said that your insurance that we bought and paid extra for was to cover our payment for the tickets in case we needed to cancel." We asked insurance company agent what was the insurance for and they said "lost luggage"! WE WOULD NEVER HAVE BOUGHT INSURANCE FOR LOST LUGGAGE! Therefore... they TOLD us to cancel our flight to get the refund, we did, and now we are not going to get any type of refund and are out over $650.00!!!
We kept trying to contact management and they gave us the run around and told us we needed to send in medical papers proving our need to cancel the flights and they will review it. WE DID THAT TOO and they said it never reached them. NOW THEY DON'T ANSWER OUR CALLS AND KEEP GIVING US THE RUN AROUND!!! We have a recording of all the calls, our next step is contacting the Federal Trade Commission for fraudulent practices. This is truly heartbreaking, we would really appreciate any help from ConsumerAffairs.
