    The issue here is the overall handcuff you and probably most online sites use once you have booked a flight. The fees and charges on every little change, no free cancellation up to a certain point and just the incredibly high cost to change even one leg of a flight make the whole experience really bad for us. Is this truly the only way to provide cheap flights and make money? Please let your management know that the cost of any changes and seat assignments is what has made our experience truly a bad experience.

As a travel agency, we must collect the airline penalties associated with the fare rules of your ticket, along with any fare changes. These policies are put in place by the individual airlines, and is common across travel sites, and especially if booked with the airline.

    Benjamin, our apologies for the inconvenience. Airlines will charge a fee if you chose a premium seat such as exit row, seats with extra leg room, or bulkhead. Those are all accessed by the airline and not us. Airlines do offer "free" seats perhaps emirates didn't have any left, or you chose one of the above. We don't advertise that seats are free on our site because depending on the airline you chose that may not be the case. Also, airlines do keep a small percentage of seats for airport checkin, and there is never a charge.

    I have been a loyal CheapOair customer ever since the website started, Until now. I thought I had booked a seat on an Emirates flight but was emailed 4 hours later that they can't give me a seat until check in. I was refunded the money for the early seat assignment but I have not been refunded my money so I can go to an airline that will give me the seat at booking. I feel CheapOair should not have made the assignment even possible if they were going to have to take it away. I would like a full refund.

    Margaret, we charge a small service fee for assisting with assigning a seat,. if you the airline no longer has seats available, or the seat map is not available we will refund you our fee of $14,95. Emirates charges for seat assignments depending on what type of seat you select, therefore you have to book those directly with the airline and pay them for that seat. If you wanted an exit row seat which they may charge $35.00 for, we can't collect the $14,.95 that doesn't pay for the premium seat. If we are unable to assign a seat that isn't premium, we will refund you our fee. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

    On the way back from Kansas City my flight with Spirit Airlines was canceled causing me to pay an additional $650 to fly with SW Airlines. My $49 which was supposed to be reimbursed still has not been reimbursed and I was charged another $75 by CheapOair to book my SW Airlines flight. So if the $49 does actually come it'll be a huge slap to the face. I've never been more embarrassed in my life. I'll never book here again. Great job guys.

    Finally got my refund! The supervisor was a lot of help!

    I have cancelled a flight for my son due to school. Scheduled and booked another flight with them for another day. I spoke to customer service and immediately after I cancelled the flight and I was told the refund will come after 15 business days. I called again in December 2016 and I was told that the airline did not refund the money yet and so they conference me with the airline. They told me again that I should get my money back after 15 days from the day of that conversation.

    I called again yesterday, January 17, 2017, and I was told that the money was still not process and it takes 24 hrs to get my money back. I called them again today and I was told that it will take 60 business days to get my money back since yesterday. I called billing department and I was spoke to a very rude lady and I just can't get her name. She is told me that they can't do anything about it since the policy says refund is 60 business days. What am I going to do now? I've been a very loyal to CheapOair customer and I even recommend them to my friends and I am getting this bad experience. I hope this people at CheapOair understand the feeling of being ABANDONED... Terrible and arrogant lady who can't console a loyal customer.

I then get a confirmation of $223.38 but billed through CheapOair $243.08 with same confirmation number??? I called to 1-800-525-0400 and spoke to a Jake, who was most helpful in understanding and explaining that I paid a fee of $20.00. If I was informed instead of being misrepresented and pressured to book, I may not been upset. So I'm waiting for a call from customer service to resolve my concern. Thank You for your patience.

    After finding a reasonably price for my husband and sisters trip, I feel CheapOair, is very misleading and malicious by charging an astronomical price for reserving seats! Almost $80 for one seat! So by the time I reserve them each a seat for their entire trip (12 flights total) the seats would have came to more than the fares! Almost $1,000 just for seats! I only reserved them seats together on one flight. They will have to sit in middle seats between strangers on the rest of their flights. UNBELIEVABLE. The only reason I went ahead with the booking is I figured they are adult siblings and could sit away from one another. I'm currently planning two more vacations this year. I will NOT be booking with CheapOair again.

    I booked a flight for my father for a visit. I bought the travel protection to be safe. I had to change his return flight times to which I called and was told it would cost me $190. In the end, I had to book a one-way ticket to get the flight time changed for $160. I was then told I would not be refunded any portion of his original ticket. No need to pay for travel protection when you are unable to make changes. Do not waste the $10. So in the end, a $180 round-trip flight ended up costing $340. Way to make money Spirit.

    I searched for a flight from Joao Pessoa to Recife and found one for about 98 dollars. I filled out all of the info including credit card. I clicked to finalize and the screen said please wait or something like that. It never finished processing after 5 minutes or more. I checked my email for confirmation and found none. I turned off my cellphone and opened the app again. I searched again and found the flight again but it was now 134 dollars. I found a 50 dollar coupon but after entering it only gave me a 5 dollar discount. So the program crashed and the price went up. What a coincidence.

    John, fares change constantly and at the time you booked and you had the delay it was due to our website going through the updating process. We rely on the airlines to update our site with the current fares, and availability, and while you were booking, someone else may of take the last seats at that price. As for the $50.00 off coupon, it is for upto 5 people traveling in one reservation, and they receive $10.00 off the service fee. Because the flights that you booked, you were not charged the service fee, therefore the discount was not applicable. We are sorry for the inconvenience, and we certainly appreciate your business.     I was searching for hotel for 3 guest. I booked One Hotel in Mexico City which according to my original booking receipt included an additional charge for an extra guest.     I called CheapOair to make a reservation and I was told that if I make it over the phone, I have 24 hours to cancel it. I called 20 hrs later to make changes and I was told that I could not do without a charge. The initial price was $513.64 and the operator charged me $8 for what - I don't know. When I changed the reservation, I was charged another $8. So the recommendation was to make the reservation over the phone to make my life easier and ended being a horrible experience due. The website is still reflecting the price of $513.64. It seems that your staff is well trained to make extra charges to reservations. I travel all the time and I used CheapOair for all my flights. I am considering using a different site to book my airfares. You can see the history of flights under my name, it is a lot. I even buy my parents' tickets every year using your site.

    I am wondering why in the past, I had a large number of seats to choose from. This booking, there were few, and on Flt. 4801 (American Airlines) I had to pay extra for an economy seat; then on Flt. 421 (also American), there were very limited seat selections, all middle seats.     Upon airline check in on 12/25/2016 we were informed by Airline representative that our flight on the itinerary does not exist. CheapOair did not notify us. It resulted in cancelled hotel accommodation, 1 day flight delay and distressed due to we have to haul luggages back home again. Due to this bad experience, we made sure to confirm return flight by phone and was ensured that everything is good, that flight exist and there are no changes on the flight. However, when boarding passes was issued...something is not right on the connecting to the final destination.

    The boarding time reads, "flight AA 294/14JAN ORF" when Passenger is still in flight and not arriving until 420 pm that day. Thinking it's a typographical error, I approached the transfer desk immediately upon arrival only to find out that there are no other connecting flight to my final destination until next day and the flight number on the itinerary does not exist. The itinerary issued is inaccurate, flight does not exist causing distressed, delays and loss of time at work. Unacceptable! This is a horrible experience!!

    This company almost ruined my honeymoon because they kept putting my husband's name wrong on our plane tickets and even after talking to 6+ Indian customer service people they still didn't fix it and told us they had. When we went to board our flight the name was still wrong and the company wouldn't fix the ticket or give us a refund.     Had a flight booked to Asia. First off they nickel and dime you like crazy. They charged over $10 so you could choose specific seats on an int'l flight, which is the first time I ever saw this. Annoying but not a deal breaker. A week later it looked like I might have to cancel my trip. I called to inquire how much it would cost and not only was fee crazy high, but the rep said if I didn't cancel right then the next time I called the fee would go up even more. This really felt like extortion and I'm not even sure if it's legal. Either way I had to put the rep on hold and contact others in my party to let them know about this policy.     There was an error on my name in the ticket. I called CheapOair and the service rep had no manners and was very inconsiderate. My dad died and I am attending his funeral. The rep was telling me to buy a new ticket just to change my last name on the ticket. I asked the speak with supervisor and the rep hang up the phone on me. I called back three times and the supervisor came on the phone tell me I will need to purchase a ticket at the current rate just to change my name. I had the JetBlue on the phone and they heard the conversation and was telling me what CheapOair was telling me was incorrect and dishonest.     Finding the flights, selecting the seats and confirming the flight was fairly easy. However, I received a follow up from AA who assigned me ridiculous seats at the rear of the plane. I had reserved "extra fee" seats near the front. THE REASON: CheapOair seating chart included seats that are not even in the airplane. In other words, I reserved non-existing seats.     Fare prices change before I can finish paying for my tickets. The only reason why I chose 3 stars is because I can usually find okay tickets at a better price than other sites, and customer service has been good in the past. I can't stand the stress, the pressure to buy the tickets immediately causes! Its beginning to turn me off big time. I have cried in the past trying to buy tickets, and then something happens, and when I go back to the same page, the tickets are another price.

    When booking my flight there was a notice that said "Free Cancellation". It indicated that you could cancel up to 10 hour before without penalty and up to 4 hours with a small penalty. My assumption was that this was free cancellation 10 hours before flight, not 10 hours after cancellation. When purchasing with a credit card you actually have 24 hours to make cancellations, so there really is no "free cancellation". I am fed up with these companies misleading the consumer. Why bother with the "Free Cancellation"? There is nothing free in this world. I made a change in my flight within 2 hours of the booking and they still charged me a change fee. Go figure. Last time I will use CheapOair and I will definitely never recommend this site to anyone.

    First of all I used this site to book a flight for my husband and I which was the easiest thing ever to do. But when it came time to book for our hotel room it was a disaster. My husband is being deployed for Afghanistan in less than a month and we just wanted to visit family before this event occurs. I booked the room at the Red Roof inn for the wrong night (due to jet lag and sleepiness). I called the 1800 number and got Anhar who was extremely helpful (at first) trying to help me change the reservation for Tuesday night instead of Wed night. It was already 10pm and we had been traveling for over 8 hours through multiple time zones. He assured me that he changed the reservation and that he spoke to the hotel and got it solved.

    When we arrived at the hotel (11pm) Charlotte the hotel employee told me that the reservation had not been updated in her system. I showed her the email that Anhar had sent me with the new reservation but she told me she could not give me a room without it showing up in her system. So she called the 1800 number and we spoke with "Patrick" who put us on hold countless times to only inform us that he couldn't update it since that would require him to cancel the reservation. My card was already charged the $59 by CheapOair and Patrick still couldn't comprehend that we just needed him to update the reservation so that the hotel would have a new date. My husband then argued with Patrick for 30 minutes about how it was only $59 and that he couldn't believe the amount of disrespect that was being given to a service member.

    Patrick then said he would cancel the reservation and would refund me my $59 in 7 to 14 business days. I had to then repay the hotel that same amount in cash since my card was now on hold from all the bogus charges done by CheapOair. We didn't get to bed until 12.45am. I will never reserve anything through CheapOair and my husband intends to have your organization BLACKLISTED and banned for military/service members. I cannot believe you employ such horrible condescending individuals such as Patrick who told us that it was our fault in the first place. Be ashamed CheapOair. I will be posting this on every review site I can find if I do not receive a call in regards to our experience.

    I called the CheapOair for 2 times. First, January 10, 2017 about 8:50 PM (US eastern time) to make my reservation to my flights from Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) to Tokyo, Japan (HND) because I was wonder the airfare on the CheapOair website to make sure that was not mistake on price. But do I need 5 E-tickets for this???

It says online $55 for online carry or $50 to check in. Ended up paying for one bag $100 to check in so it's very deceptive. It needs to be corrected but on the other hand on the positive note it's quick, it's accurate and the people that work behind the phones do their best to take care of it.

    For 116$ airfare I was charged $225. The $90 in fees charged by CheapOair were bogus, including a lap infant charge and a seat selection enhancement charge. Did not honor their own promo code discounts. I spoke with the airline directly and the lap infant is free and we did not have any special seat selection. We were ripped off and their customer service is a joke. They just say there is nothing they can do since you already paid. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN.

    When I booked a flight I didn't reserve a car at first. I later found a car price to my satisfaction. So I went back to you to get the matching price guarantee. The person I spoke to was very difficult to understand because she spoke too fast and with a difficult to understand accent. She couldn't explain your low price guarantee. I decided to cancel my booking. This process took way too long. I don't like to be put on hold without a good explanation. The "supervisor" that I spoke to couldn't explain in simple language why I couldn't get a cancellation confirmation number or why I would have to wait 7-14 business days to get a refund completed! I found a better price for both the flight and the car rental elsewhere. So much for your low price guarantee. I want my money back NOW!

    On Booking Confimation emailed to me the ticket charge was $445.52. American Air charged my credit card over $460.00. I was charged a $60 service by you that was not disclosed by you when I made the reservations and you tried to cover up this charge by listing them as "Taxes and Fees". Shame on you.     Don't make a mistake on your reservation, it can cost you, no matter how soon you correct it. Spelling, birthdates, etc. They will help you correct it willingly. I have used CheapOair many times. Never have had any problems. Helpful to speak with an agent at some point to verify things.

    When I tried to book a flight online that had 4 seats available it went through till the end but then it gave an error message and said it was no longer available. Immediately the phone rang and it was a CheapOair agent who said she would book something else for me as there were no seats available on my chosen flight. I gave her the next cheapest flight which advertised 3 available seats and she tried to make a reservation then came back on the phone and told me that flight was also not available. She then suggested a flight which was $75 more expensive and then told me it was also full. She was going to check a flight that was $125 more expensive but in the meantime I had found a flight on Expedia that was only $50 more than my initial choice.

    I told the CheapO agent I was going to try Expedia and she said for that price it was probably unavailable. I booked the Expedia flight online quickly with no problem. The really interesting thing is that 10 hours later the "unavailable" flights are still being advertised with 4 and 3 available seats at the same cheap prices. In my opinion CheapOair is running a bait and switch scam where you try to book a cheap flight and they switch you upwards to a more expensive flight. Last time I will ever book with them. This is dishonest.

    I've been charged $90 for changing my flight date, which I had done two months ago, for the 24th of Jan on Jet Blue. I rebooked on United for the 19th, when I looked at the email it showed the old date of 24th! I explained to your agent the problem, he stated he had to assume I made the mistake and stated that $90 would be added to make the change. I'm pretty sure I didn't make that mistake since that's the date I had in mind! Can you correct the charge?
