    While booking a last minute flight for my wife and I to attend an out of state funeral, flights were very scarce. I would book a flight thru CheapOair and by the time I completed payment, the seats were no longer available. I finally called for assistance. They billed us two agent fees... one for $15 and one for $229.86. The two round trip tickets cost $1474.20. So their fees to assist us cost an additional 16.6% of the total ticket cost. I will not use them again.

    I felt more comfortable being helped over the phone versus booking online because of the higher complexity of my travel plans. Everything went smoothly at first. The rep was courteous and happily willing to offer assistance. But to the nitty gritty. I requested to have 3 seats next to each other on one leg of the trip. The rep said fine and he would make it happen. Down the line, I discovered this was not the case. I was annoyed but no big deal. Called again and was ensured my request would be taken care of.

    Lo and behold when it was time to check in for this particular leg of the trip, the seats were NOT as requested. I called again and was told to call the airline or request at the airport because they could not offer me my original request even after I was told it would be honored. So I did. Dealing directly with the airline was just less frustrating than dealing with this website. I ultimately got what I was looking for but not after some avoidable legwork. I used CheapOair.com to help find a good deal and make the process easier. But after this experience I cannot put in my recommendation. I have no desire nor intent to use their site in the future.

    I have used the flight registration service before and found it cumbersome. Still, I used it again today and found similar and more difficulty. I had seen on some site that TAP Portugal airlines offered a stopover in Lisbon as part of the registration process. One had to go to a subsequent page to complete that portion of the transaction. Somewhere out there is a site that lets one make a layover selection in Lisbon related to a TAP Portugal flight. Using the CheapO service, I expected to find a similar next step. When I clicked the box, I found that I had made a purchase. I telephoned immediately and asked to cancel that flight reservation. Found that the system is very unresponsive. "You may cancel for a fee." I was stuck with the purchase I had made. There were other choices to make, such as seat choice, rental car and the like. These are lost. I will have to take what I get. These are selections I did not get to make.

    In discussing with the telephone attendant, I found her less than helpful. Her answer to everything was "It is spelled out on the website." When I pressed her for information, she lapsed into a rapid, undecipherable oriental accent. I had to give up trying to understand. I have since received a call from a man who had similar information for me. He seemed interested in helping, but also spoke with an accent that was hard to understand. It was decided that I will go with the reservation that I have. I have now had two difficult reservation experiences with CheapOair. I will remember my experience when I make future travel reservation.

    I was please with the gentleman who helped me get a good flight to get home. I had some slight difficulties understanding because of his accent but I have a French accent myself so I'll pass on that! That's when I looked at my bill that I had questions regarding the total charge. I had different versions which did not add up and discovered that there was $100 of charges for your services. Granted, you do not work for free but it was never mentioned in the detail of our conversation, or I did not understand, SO you must make it clear that there is a charge to add to the ticket and not try to more or less hide it in the conversation... I hope I won't have any bad surprises with my trip. Thank you for your attention!

    I will never use this service for anything again. Got flight then doc appointment told need to come in so had to cancel flight. Had insurance which went through their carrier Trip Mate. Well now not only will I not get to reschedule this flight but was also ripped off another $100 to cancel the flight.

    I was not told that my flight was not allowed to be changed. All I want to do is change the time. They even talked me into buying the insurance and now I'm told that it doesn't cover that either. I was misled. The flight online was also 50 cheaper than what I was charged.

The airlines are offering different levels of tickets to keep the cost down, You chose the basic economy which does not allow changes, and also seats cannot be assigned ahead of time, this fare saved you money. You also were refunded the insurance fee which you agreed to take when it was offered. Our apologies that your change in plans has caused the inconvenience, but as a travel agent, we must abide by the rules the airline puts in place.

    This company's website is filled with hidden fees and is not transparent. You do not have a 24h grace period to make changes or cancel your flight like the direct airline websites or other third party sites I've used. Even their apparent guarantee to match cheaper flights are capped so they really are not matching anything unless it is a couple dollars cheaper. On top of charging you a cancellation fee when walking away from a flight within 24 hours, they also charge you a service fee for coming to the website. At the end of the day, I want to use companies that are transparent about what they are charging. I'll pay fees and own up to contracts but I take it personally when "tactics" are used to lure customers which is how I feel after one transaction with Cheapoair. I made the mistake of treating all third party companies alike but they are very different, so buyer beware.

    I was trying to book with CheapOair but after last step it shows that the price has changed. An agent called me to help me to book a flight, and I asked her about the cancellation fee less than 24 hours and she said it is free. Now after 12 hours I called to cancel it because my plan has changed. They are talking about $50 cancellation fee per person. I am totally unsatisfied with the experience and I will never use CheapOair to book a flight.

    I purchased an airline ticket but canceled within the cancellation period. Instead of the payment being canceled, the airline still withdrew the money from my account. It's been almost a week and several emails and phone calls were made to the airline with nothing being resolved.     When trying to change booking made through CheapOair, needed to make a change, month in advance. Penalty was more than ticket price, due to customs issue in Bermuda with 1 way ticket could not use ticket. Requested a refund. Offered me 135 voucher for American but carries a $200 penalty to use it. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. Nothing cheap about them.

    Bill, the airline determines the penalty cost, not us. Sometimes the airline ticket is cheaper than the penalty, again something we don't control. As a travel agency, we must follow the rules attached to the individual tickets your purchased, and we do regret the inconvenience it may of caused you.

    I went to the CheapOair website to get a low fare air rate. When I looked at the cost of the flight, at the start it was 279.00 one way. When I booked the flight the price jumped to 349.00. They said supply and demand only 1 left at that price. So I booked. The final price I paid after taxes & travel agency fee's 394.00. What a rip off. And here is the kicker. 3 days later I went directly to the airline's website and booked another seat on the same flight as first. And paid a final price 332.00. Mind you this 3 days later and 4 days before the flight. All this makes no sense to me. And surely was no great deal as they advertise. I will never again use CheapOair! Thank you and best regards.

    I've used CheapOair many times and until now did not need further assistance with an existing reservation. I made a mistake online by selecting flexible dates (don't ever use that unless you are ready to give up all rights), but immediately called customer service to change to a closer travel date, which I was given and wrote down the info. A couple days later I noticed my credit card was charged twice for the same amount, which happened when they changed my flight from American Airline to Delta. When I called to ensure they credited my card back I was told they did and there was nothing to worry about, "I was booked." But there was a problem. Because I was working out of state daily for two months, and my travel date was going to be five months out, I didn't pay attention to not receiving my itinerary until I returned home two months later.

    When I called Delta, they did not have my reservation under the booking number I was given. It took awhile for them to find me under a different booking number, so I wrote that info down and tried to assign my seats since I'm going form east coast to northwest. They told me I couldn't until 24hrs prior to my flight because of the type of ticket I had. I'm a senior and did not want to risk sitting in the middle seat the entire journey; the Delta Supervisor was gracious enough to grant that request. When I called CheapOair to find out what happened and to get my receipt with their booking number, I was told they didn't have my email which upset me because my email info was on the same form as my payment and they got that. Had I not wrote the info down I could have missed my flight when it was time to go.

    CheapOair is helpful when taking your money, but if you have a problem you will get the crew from India and the run around. I needed compensation for all the trouble they put me through; as a valued customer I should have had an upgrade or another ticket. Of course I was told that wasn't going to happen (by Irvin). And to add insult to injury, when they rebooked my ticket they have my gender as male. I have another flight that I've also booked with them for next year, but then I'm done with CheapOair. I saved about $50 when I booked this mess using them, but I won't ever again because to me good customer service means more. Had they done me right, I would have remained a loyal customer, but they showed me that after all, I'm just a number. Now, they are just an option that I won't choose again.

    I have been looking at tickets for the past month to visit my grandmother for her 80th birthday. I booked my flight for the first time on CheapOair. While in the process of check out, the price jumped from $419 to $444. I selected the option to continue. My purchase was completed. A moment or so later, my phone rang. The gentleman told me my card did not go through because the price went up again, $492. I was hesitant to confirm the additional increase and he responded something about a promo code and then said it is actually $482. He kept speaking over me and was extremely forceful. When I told him this is my first experience with using this service and his being pushy did not make me want to be a customer, he quickly ended the call. No genuine care for the huge inconvenience this caused. Never again.

    Bought the 2 tickets, they sent confirmation email to my wife's email address, which I never received. Come to find out, Google chrome auto filled in my middle name into my wife's middle name line. Gave us the option of $100 fee to refund me, or $100 to fix this mistake. Very disappointed.

    Avianca cancelled a one stop trip from LAX to Madrid business class. Called several times. Spend numerous hours on the phone on hold. After insisting on talking to manager was given a 3 stop flight. Made another call, spoke with sales person at the ext **, Kolan. He promised changes, called several times even offered discount.     I have just purchased three airline tickets from this site. It says 24-hour cancellation but the part that says there is $50.00 cancelation fee per ticket even within those 24 hours is hidden. Five minutes after booking called the customer service to change the form of payment from one credit card to another, was told it's impossible, unless I agreed to pay $50 cancellation fee per ticket, and rebook the same flight back again. Do you think I am buying another ticket from this site again? Had a horrible experience and would never ever want to repeat again. Don't use this site when there are so many others. Even one star is too much for this site.

    I purchased airline tickets through CheapOair, but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel the flight. We were told we could get a credit but we would have to use it by July of the following year. So, I have a credit of $1003, and I booked a flight for two to Las Vegas. The tickets were $1300 and I have a $1000 credit. By the time I paid all of their penalties and rebooking fees, my out of pocket cost is approximately $1000. I could have bought two tickets out right from another airline for that price. My credit was null and void after all of the added fees and penalties.

    Marzette, the airline had a exchange fee of $200.00 per person, that is an airline policy in order to use your credit, Sometimes other airlines have a cheaper fare, but you have a credit with a specific airline, and that's who you need to travel with.     Multiple times I have found a price advertised but when you click and look up fare it is way greater. Just found ad for $210.60 and searched and fare was $363.00. The people have false advertising... Will not use them.

    Tom, the ads advertised are not for all destinations and dates. It is limited space that the airline needs to fill and with that comes restrictions. Please review the ad terms and conditions, and it also may state "starting at" $210.60. But keep checking for the dates and city pairs you need, they may offer a deal in the future for your travel needs.

    In the time that it took my credit to get authorized I realized my grave mistake that the deal that I thought I was getting with me and 2 of my children to fly from PHX to ELP, that the price was not as it appeared for the final purchase. When I tried to cancel I was told there is a $50 per person charge that I had to agree to before being refunded my "total refund". I asked if there was someone else I could speak with and was told that it is the policy that I agreed to when purchasing online. Mind you this booking is 5 weeks away not 24 hours or something.

    I will never use CheapOair again. I had always been an Expedia guy and will be running back to them for my next flight. I called the customer service line to upgrade my flight which I had meant to do when I booked the flight to begin with 5 minutes prior to calling in. I was told by customer service that they couldn't make changes so I had to get over to someone else, it rang for 1 minute then the call ended.

    Once I called back in and followed the prompts again to the "area to make changes" I was told there would be a service charge associated with my change, the charge was the same price of the upgrade. I was more than happy to just have them cancel the flight (which took 7-14 days to get back on my card) and I would do the upgrade online myself and all would be well in the world right? WRONG.

    They then wanted $50 to cancel a flight that was booked 5 min earlier. I am a manager in a call center and if someone makes a mistake we don't charge them for being human. I usually like to use the third party companies because airlines usually nickel and dime you but I see that CheapOair follows the airlines lead. Expedia on the other hand will let you do anything that you want to a flight within the first 24 hours which is a great policy when there is an error made like in my situation. I hope this helps you make the right choice in the future.

    Booking for 5 people. Couple weeks before we are to leave I check to see if we can assign seats. That's when I find out that our flight had been cancelled. Not because they notified us. After spending 3 hours making phones called I get them re-booked. Checked on everything a few days later. Guess what? Yep! Cancelled again. Still no notice. Spend 4 hours on the phone and had the customer service man yell at me at the top of his lungs telling me how stupid I am.

    Now fast forward we are all in Mexico and want to come home. Night before go to check us in. You can just guess the theme. Cancelled again! Did CheapOair contact us. NO. So now I have to use the chat option because 800 numbers don't work in Mexico. This rep tells me surely I could just go to the airport and figure it out myself. When I said, "when I paid for you guys to do this and I don't just want to go to an airport in a foreign country and hope it works out." Worst experience. Not to mention once it was all said and done took 6 flights to get us around.

    I searched for inexpensive flights from New York City to Miami. Among a few, I found a round-trip flight with CheapOair. As sometimes happens, I was required to change my return flight. The incredibly difficult and 60-minute plus effort to change my flight was a nightmare. Even though I was using the same credit card for purchasing the new ticket that was used to purchase the original ticket, the agent did not seem to believe that I was the individual requesting the change. In fact, it became necessary for the agent to call my bank to verify funds and my identity. After several attempts to reach my bank on a weekend, sufficient information was gained to began the process of changing my return ticket. That new one-way ticket turned out to 3 times the cost of the entire original round-trip ticket, plus I had to leave from Orlando.

    I was told that the amount paid for the original return ticket would be left on my account as a credit for one year. Though I was skeptical about initiating service with CheapOair again, I attempted to using the credit within the one-year period. Among reasons I cannot began to understand, because of language comprehension but also, some convoluted restrictions attached to the credit, the CheapOair agent offered no resolution or opportunity to use the credit. So, the credit at this time, has been lost. Suffice it to say, beware of the CheapOair. The name suits the quality of service, availability of service and the simple idea that what you pay is what you get. I have not and refuse to use them again under any circumstances. With airlines restricting travel, the last experience you should suffer with purchasing the ticket required to travel.

    I had previously left a slightly negative review of CheapOair. (Review dated June 5, 2017) regarding a $50 ticket change fee that I was charged because I needed to update my name on my plane ticket. Today I received a call from a supervisor of CheapOair who was very kind and who offered me a refund of the ticket change fee which I gladly accepted. This is excellent customer service which means a lot to me. Whether the fee was five dollars or five hundred dollars the fact that someone took the time to call me and is waiving the fee is a sign that this company cares about their customers and their reputation. I will definitely use them again and I would highly recommend them to everyone.

    I had noticed that my name on the ticket did not match exactly what my ID says so I called to have that corrected. The agent, who was friendly, told me that there was a $50 fee to make this correction. When I told him that the previous agent did not make it clear to me that my name on the ticket needed to match my name on my ID's he didn't say anything. He could have said, "I do apologize for that..." but instead he just asked me if I wanted to make the correction. In other words he acted like a robot. It would have been nice to at least hear a simple apology for the miscommunication but since I didn't get one, it left a bad taste in my mouth. My past experience has been excellent but the agent made no attempt to either waive the $50 or like I said, just apologize.

    Tried to book a flight for specific dates and it displayed different dates than what I had selected. Thinking that I was saving a small amount of money from the competition, I booked and immediately realized that the dates were not what I had originally searched for. They should prominently display (with a confirmation) flights that have alternative dates. I called immediately to resolve or cancel. If you notice at the top of the flight page, and also right next to the dates and flight it states "these are alternate dates", it is also on the payment page you've saved $$$ by choosing alternate dates, would you like to continue. We show alternate dates if there are cheaper fares out there within 1-3 days before or after your initial search, because people maybe flexible to save some money.     I went on your website and put in destination Augusta, Maine, was on it for quite a long time, trying to find a flight that would benefit the two destinations transportation from friends and family. I found great times and price, and purchased Philadelphia to Augusta 7/27/17 - 8/2/17. When I printed out the confirmation, it said August, Georgia, which sent me into a panic. I called CheapOair and spoke to a very pleasant gentleman named Joseph, and he found me flights with as close times as my original flights as possible, he read me 9:15 Ph l- 10:47 Boston and 1:00- 2:05 Augusta, Maine, and it cost me $62 more. But when I got my confirmation by email, it had different times, than what he told me and I had written down. I was upset, but I couldn't afford another $50 charge for a change.

    I just want to say, I was told that sometimes the website will give different options of different airports, but I have no explanation why the website would change Augusta, Maine, to Augusta Georgia, and the state was not noted just a 3 digit letters in ( ). I didn't know how I was going to get back to Joseph, and just decided to I would still have my family not miss work and just sit in the airport for another 2 extra hours. So after sitting on the internet for a week looking for a price I could afford and times to accommodate my transportation, it cost me $62+ more and a lot of stress .

I checked the website and when typing in Augusta it displayed Augusta Maine, then Augusta Georgia, so it seems you clicked on the wrong one.     I booked a flight on 12/9/2016, going to Manila, Philippines, I had to cancel the trip even though it was unfortunate, and unforeseen reason. That I had to cancel. Even though I had put insurance on the ticket it would not cover or pay back anything, I said "Okay," then I had to pay $50.00 cancellation fee to CheapOair, "Okay," I said and agreed to the charges, I was given a $967.01 credit toward next flight.

    OK, so I decide to today 06/04/2017 to rebook a flight, I checked flights on Japan Airlines to Manila, which I was told I would have to use same airlines, the ticket cost with all fees $1373.92. Okay, way I see it is, $1373.92-$967.01= $406.91 plus a fee of $250.00 to rebook with airline. I said OK, making it a cost to me of $406.91+$250.00= $656.91, I said "Okay, ohooo, wait a minute, that is not correct I have to be booked on a different flight." My rebook could not be used on this flight, I would have to book one that cost would be $1545.00+$96.00 making a total of $1641.00, and some few cents. And I would lose my $967.01 credit, making it a total of $2608.01. "Wow what a good deal," CheapOair said.

    I tried to put a review on the web-site but was cut off. Review did not go through. Great again. Original flight was **, that flight cost me over $1200.00 and never got to go on a flight. And insurance was no good either. That is because I do not know how to do math, the modern way... You see I am from the old school, I am 73 years old, I guess it is okay, for them to take money like this from a senior citizen.

    I went on a site called Skyscanner.ca to get prices on a business class ticket from Vancouver-Auckland-Vancouver. The price advertised by CheapOair was $6900. I tried to book and it was "unavailable". Just as I was ready to shut down the search my phone rings and it's an agent with CheapOair. He tells me the price is no longer available (then why was it advertised on the website?). He then tells me the best price he can do is $8500. I tell him the list price on the airline site is $8200 so why would I book with him? After several more quotes I finally accepted his "final" offer of $7123.49. My friend booked the same flights with Air New Zealand directly through their call centre and got the ticket for $6,740.91. I will NEVER use these bandits again. Watch out people!

    Entered the dates I wanted to depart and return. Found the fair that seemed like a good deal. Once I had entered all of my information I realized the dates CheapOAir had displayed did not work for me. Within a few minutes of booking the flight I cancelled the booking. CheapOAir wants to charge me $150 for cancellation. Most reputable discount sites offer FREE cancellation if it was within 24 hours. My cancellation was within minutes.

    I called their customer support and asked to speak with a supervisor. I was put on hold for over 25 minutes and hung up on. I called back and was put on hold again. I was told that if the call was lost for some reason that I would receive a call from the supervisor within an hour. It has been six days now I have not received a call from anyone at CheapOAir. Totally dishonest, they lie to you and would not recommend them to anyone. The more money they lose, the better for the world at large.

    We booked a flight to Ireland using CheapOAir. When I tried to select seats, the airlines' websites told me that we had to select our seats through the party with whom we booked the tickets. When I contacted CheapOAir (talking with someone whose first language was not English), they told me that they could book our seats if we paid an extra $40. I told them no, then contacted JetBlue directly and was able to get my seats assigned. The Aer Lingus website said that I couldn't book seats directly if we used a 3rd party reseller, so I called CheapOAir back and agreed to pay the $40.00.

    They then told me that they couldn't book the Aer Lingus seats, but they would be assigned when we got to JFK. Bottom line, they said that if I wanted to ensure that my wife and I could sit together, we would have to go to the Aer Lingus counter at JFK for seat assignment. We have a 52 minute layover in JFK, and I am concerned that we won't be able to make it to the Aer Lingus counter for seat selection and to the gate in time to make the flight. I asked them why they didn't tell me about this when I booked the flights, and they said that it would take them a day to tell me all of the details about flight and that they did not consider seat selection important enough to discuss with me when I was booking and that, since selecting seats together was my choice, they would do nothing if we missed our flight because we went to the counter to get seats together. CheapOAir's attitude was abysmal, and I will never use them again.

    I used this site to book my flight and was charged a $92 service fee. Later, I added two bags through the airline and was charged a $20 service fee.     Hello, I booked a vacation with CheapOair that included airfare, hotel, and car rental in London, England. We also purchased travel insurance in case of any unforeseen circumstance, everything totaling a little over $10,700. We had to take the plane in Los Angeles, CA, which is a 5 hr and 30 minutes car ride from Phoenix, AZ. After having a seizure on the way there and having the car overheat a couple times due to a heavy load, we arrived late to the airport. We knew these issues were going to set us back on our travels so we called the airport asking for options, and they were unable to help us with anything because it was booked through an agency (CheapOair). We contacted CheapOair several times informing them of our situation and the only two options they gave us were to either cancel the reservation and lose all of our money or pay $250 per person plus additional fees which totaled $5,474 to change our flight for two days later.

    I explained that these options were unreasonable for us, we did not want to lose our money and we did not have an additional $5,474 to add to it. They explained that this was all they could do for us and they were unwilling to help us any further. When we arrived at the airport, the Norwegian airlines counter assistant was unable to help us but she gave us the airline phone number, which I had called earlier, but the counter lady said they might be able to help us get another flight. I called and they were unable to help because it was booked through the CheapOair agency and not directly with Norwegian Airlines. I called the CheapOair and they had canceled the whole package stating it was a no-show. I am sure you can see my concerns with this issue.

    I would like to express my concern with cheapoair.com (an online booking agency for airlines, hotel, cars) for not refunding one of my canceled order yet. On 20th April, I canceled an order with CheapOair due to changes in travel schedule. There were 2 airlines associated with the booking order — United Airlines and Air Canada.

    After canceling the order I was told from CheapOair representative that the amount will be credited back to my account within 7-14 business days. It has been over a month now and I just received the refund from United Airlines and haven't yet received the amount from Air Canada. Every time I call CheapOair Customer Service, I am told that they are working on it and asked me to wait for 2-3 days more but in spite of waiting for couple of days and giving repeated calls, this issue is not addressed by CheapOair team.     I booked a flight for my grandson from San Antonio to Oklahoma City on a after 5 pm evening flight. Upon receiving my itinerary I noticed that the flight was for a morning 5 o'clock.     CheapOAir is a scam. All they do is send emails for amazing prices and once you open email and try to book trips according to email preferences, they jack the prices $400+. I have been a loyal member and never have I received a loyal price. I might as well shop from United.com or AmericanAirlines.com, etc. What is so special about CheapOAir? I also called customer care to inform them that I wanted to book a flight and they said "Prices change ma'am. There is nothing we can do about that." My response, "In a matter of seconds? I just received the email?"

    I had a booking for my domestic travel and one of the flight got cancelled by the airline. I have called CheapOair to refund my whole itinerary. I was told it will take 24-48 hrs. to know the status of refund. I called them after 48 hrs. and then the whole mess started. I have been transferred to different people saying I needs to talk schedule change department - billing department, etc. And one instance they transferred to wrong department and the person was telling me after 20 min. of talk that he is not from the billing department to which I got transferred to. They are just useless people sitting with phone to make us mad. Don't ever go with these people. I have been following up with these people for my refund for last 7 days and they will credit back the money only after 45-60 days. Worst ever service I got in my life from a travel agent. Seriously these people are utter waste even the supervisors.

    I booked my first flight to Saint Lucia at around 11pm on the 22nd of May. The next morning, I decided I wanted to switch my flight to a flight to Florida instead. I proceeded to call their customer service department where I could have this sorted out and my flight switched. The representative was very professional in booking my new flight for me, but this is where my experience went downhill. He tried to transfer me to the department responsible for flight cancellations. I had to wait on hold for upwards of 40 minutes, then in the most ridiculous event ever, I received a recording saying that the number that I dialed was unavailable. So I called again and this time was put on hold for the cancellation department for a whopping 1 hour and 15 before I again received a recording saying that the number was unavailable.

    This is unacceptable company behavior. Hour long hold times are unacceptable, and to top it off to not receive the service you wasted hours waiting for, unbelievable. I decided that I should look online to see whether or not I could cancel the flight there, and to my shock, I receive a notification that I need to pay a $75 cancellation fee. For what reason should I need to pay a $75 cancellation fee when purchasing the ticket I thought I had a 24 hour period where I could cancel the booking for free. It hadn't been 24 hours, and to pay such a huge fee to cancel a flight after having piss poor customer service is appalling. This has led me to make a decision to never use Cheapoair again. I hope that writing this will do at least 1 of 2 things. If I could be refunded the cancellation fee as compensation for wasting my time, and I hope that they fix the exorbitant wait times for the cancellation department which felt like a deliberate way of inconveniencing customers.

    I have been trying to cancel a reservation with this company since Sunday morning. I mistakenly made a reservation and within minutes contacted the customer service agents. They explained that they would contact the airline to request the cancellation, but since it was Sunday they would need to wait until Monday and would call me back. Also, if you made air and hotel reservations you have to call two separate individuals to cancel the reservations. (So you get to have this horrible experience twice) They never called on Monday.

    Today I was placed on hold by another agent, who had no notes of my previous call. He placed my call on hold and after 30 minutes the call was disconnected. I then called back and Rachel explained that she would have to call the airline to cancel the reservation. What is very upsetting about this is that I was told on Sunday that this was being done for me already. Once she returned to the line she explained that I would have to call the airline to make the cancellation because she was not permitted to.

    I then asked to talk with a supervisor. I was put on hold again and she explained that a supervisor would contact me. I asked what number they would be calling and she did not know what number at first and after I pushed her for an answer she explained it would be my booking phone number. I would encourage anyone thinking of booking a reservation with this company to not do so. Their customer service is set up like a scam scheme of some sort and I believe they are purposely making the cancellation process as difficult as possible in order to just wear the customer down. I will be sending all of my details/phone records with names to the Better Business Bureau at **.

    Booked a flight to NY from Chicago. Not the best price, but whatever. Suddenly have to cancel. Wait 62 on hold and get hung up on. Call back and eventually get a representative. Tells me if I cancel I get $164 credit, or if I reschedule I will receive a $200 fee. The tickets were $200. Easy choice right? Well wrong! If I cancel I get both the credit and the fee. In other words they charged me an extra $50 to pay an extra $200 all the while I had insurance to protect my "investment" which mattered not. So what's the moral of the story?     Cheapest airfares encountered on the web, less than the actual airline reservation websites. However, my experience with this entity reflects unethical and dishonest business practices. For example, right before purchase while my web browser was still open, airfare prices increased. Immediately after purchase, the same itinerary reflected its originally lower price. Contacting customer service, I was asked to send them a screenshot of the flights, but received no reply. Two reps even told me prices were the same as my purchased amount! After ticket purchase, I got a call from someone asking if they would like to reserve my seats, for a $40 fee. I refused their offer, and easily reserved the seats on each flight leg myself directly with the airline via their reservation website with the flight confirmation number.     Worst customer service experience. They could not verify my bank card even with all the information provided by me and by the bank as well. Several times I had to call them and get charged for the calls. Whenever we got to the solution and they have said they will call me back and from that point, I never heard about them. I had to call them again and again. One of their people hang up the phone on me. Because I am a student I am pretty price sensitive therefore I wanted to find the most budgeted flight ticket but after all of these issues I would never choose their website because they are very inefficient and their customer service is a disaster. In 2 days they could not sort out anything and at the end I had to cancel my ticket because they wanted to charge me higher price. If you have a chance do not choose this company.

    At first I was pleased with my customer service I received this past Friday, but upon looking at my bank statements my account has been charged for over $1,100 for the flights I had purchased. I changed my initial flight because it was a flexible date within 10 min of receiving the confirmation email and was told I wouldn't have to pay the cancellation fee or penalty and had it switched to Monday May 29. I was then charged 2 times for that flight and was told about it over the phone but my account shows the both amounts being taken out. Then after the mix up I was told the price of the tickets would be around $75 per passenger and instead I got another email that said I had to pay a fee of $77.85 per passenger.

    Normally, I go through Expedia for all my travel arrangements. But, this time, I thought I would try a new travel booking site. Boy, was I in for a big bad surprise! They supposedly gave me a "promo code" of $50 to book a flight with them, but on the back end they charged me $50 for a "service fee" for using their service! Their customer service department told me that without the promo code my service fee would have been much higher. Are you kidding me??? I found this out by looking at my credit card statement after I had to cancel the trip three days after booking it (more details to follow below).

    When I first called them, it was to cancel the booking, because something came up at work and couldn't go during the week I had intended. They told me that I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee, and that I would not get a refund for what I paid, even though I paid $66 for Travel Insurance. What??? And, they told me that the travel insurance was only for an "emergency." Not only that, but they said that when I rebooked my non-refundable flight that I would have to pay $200 rebooking fee. The last time that I had to rebook a flight was through Expedia, and they refunded me immediately for the $200 rebooking fee (their policy). This CheapOAir service told me that they could do nothing about it, because it was the "airline's policy." Well, that's **!

    After a couple of days of stewing over this, I checked my credit card statement. I saw the cancellation fee of $50.00... Okay. I found the original cost of the flight of $1059.60... Okay. Then I found a charge of $124.90. What???!!! When I called them they said that the breakdown was the initial service fee of $50 (even with the promo code!), $66.00 for the travel insurance, and the rest was for seat "upgrades." While on the phone, I was reading their policy about the travel insurance, and it showed that I was entitled to a refund of the travel insurance if I cancelled the flight within ten days of cancelling the flight. Why didn't the initial person I talked to tell me that when I cancelled the flight? So, after talking to three customer service people today, I finally got my $66 refunded and another "promo code" for $50 when I rebook my flight within a year (which I am sure I will be charged another $50 "service fee" when I rebook!).

As an airline company I would expect them to know, when you are traveling out of the country you do not have access to phones back home. They did nothing to make the situation better and when I phoned them (4 different occasions) I had rude, unhelpful staff, who hung up on me mid conversation.     I had one issue when I was ready to purchase my tickets online, and unfortunately I had to call CheapOair for help. That and trusting the person who assisted me was the biggest mistake. I told her I wanted to purchase 2 tickets round trip. She decided to purchase One ticket to go and one to come back. So I basically ended up paying $656 for each ticket when their price was $328. I even explained to her I had locked the price through FLYER for $328.

    At the end of the conversation when she gave me the total price I didn't analyze it, since I had given to her all the information regarding the flight number, airports and times, because I had done it previously online, not thinking she was going to do what she wanted, instead of what I requested. When I realized what had happened I called and according to the supervisor there was no way to fix the problem, he only listened to the end of the recording when I said "Ok, thanks for your help". He should have had in account my requests in the recording as well, which were 2 round trip tickets and confirmation number I had when I paid to lock the price for $328.

    Customer service was the worst, they treated me bad. I spoke to 5 different people to be exact, to the point I had to tell one of them that the way he was speaking to me was unacceptable, they don't let you explain, and when you try they raise their voice. None of them even made a slight effort to help, I guess they received a training to be tough and not to help customers. VERY FRUSTRATING!

    On 05/16/16, I bought a $500 flight to Spain and booked through CheapOair for the first time. Today 05/17/17, I had to cancel my flight because personal reasons. There were NO options to cancel online and you have to call their customer service. Since I was calling within a 24 hour window, I just expected that it would be a simple, free cancellation, like it is with all the other 3rd party sites like Priceline and Expedia. I come to find out that though I would get the refund for the ticket, CheapOair charges $75 FEE. The rep stated that he could "discount" the fee to $65, but cannot waive or make other changes because of the "computer system" which I feel is a false statement because if it can be reduced by $10, why can't it reduce the full amount or more.

    I feel that the fee should've been CLEARLY written out on their website instead of being hidden under fine print bc if I knew then I probably would've thought twice before booking with them since I knew there was a possibility of cancellation. By law, the airline gives free 24hr cancellation so it does not cost CheapOair anything. In reality, it would not even cost time to speak with an agent IF we have an option to cancel online. I am very disappointed with my first experience with CheapOair.

    Avoid this agency! They won't honor what they promised if there's a price change! Be careful that they don't offer free 24 hrs cancellation like their competitor like Expedia, Priceline etc. I booked two flight ticket through their website & then received email confirmation that my booking was successful. Then the next day they sent me email saying my booking didn't pass through since the airline increase their price several minutes after my booking so CheapOair won't honor the price I already booked!

    (BTW, you, as a customer, has to honor what you booked otherwise, CheapOair will charge you more than $200 for a $300 ticket!) I called back & the representative told me not to worry. He's very positive my booking will go through. Asking me to wait for another 24 hours! I called them the next day & they said no way they could honor the original price! So they cancel my booking.     Stay away - they are shady and rely on small print to charge you hidden fees! I two airline tickets for international travel 6 months in advance. The fare was a good deal and they advertised a 24-hour cancellation no-risk and within an hour I had to cancel because the airline had a limit on the number of infants that could travel on a flight so as I was waiting for my child's passport, they required that in order to assign him onto the flight, I needed his passport copy (which was not yet ready).

    I called back to cancel and only then was told that there was a $75/person fee to cancel, which is hidden under their legal terms. All major airlines as well as Orbitz, Expedia and other sites allow a 24-hour no fee cancellation, which is what a person believes to be industry standard. Their customer service is poor and unhelpful. Anderes their "supervisor" was of no help and merely only recites their legal type, which doesn't account for their false advertisement.

    Also, it's so shady how they require you to read to them a PIN code to charge you for this cancellation fee. I'm sure their legal department has figured the workaround because, it's a superfluous and predatory charge to consumers that believe they're dealing with a reputable company. Here's what they make you do. "This is not a confirmation that your ticket is refundable or will be refunded. After we've received your One Time Password (OTP), our team will review the policies of the airline and make a refund determination."

    CheapOAir delivered by far the worst booking experience I ever had. :( I'm professional Quality Assurance Analyst, and it takes a lot to irritate me and cause this review. There were a number of hidden fees ($59 for seat selection, $74 for canceling online booking within 30 mins, etc.) My reservation had multiple technical issues from minute one. 1) During reservation flow I got an error, however reservation was made. 2) I can't access my reservation after completing user registration during booking process. 3) Partial information perished to Turkish Airlines, so I'm not able to enter my information directly with carrier.

    Customer care calls were totally useless – did not resolve a single problem! So I decided to cancel and re-book with Expedia. However there were surprising $74 cancellation fee per ticket even canceling within 30 mins! :( For my every inquiry on the phone I got "impossible" reply to fix my user access, assign seats, etc. And lastly, even without extra booking fees, total cheapOAir reservation cost was about $85 higher than with Expedia, along with virtually useless customer service, located in India, and hidden fees!

    On April 4 2017, I purchased online tickets for my wife and 3 children from Houston IAH to Kabul Afghanistan for my wife to attend her father’s funeral in Afghanistan who just passed away. When I received the itinerary via email I noticed that my two daughters’ name were not showing on the airline tickets. It was maybe because we were so stressed out and sad I might have forgotten to add them, so I called the customer service line and a person by the name of Kumar ** answered my call. I had two reasons to call CheapOair. Reason 1: I wanted to add my two daughters on the same flight with their mother and reason two was to change the ticket's return date from April 28 to May 25 and it was less than 24 hours from the time of purchase.

    I asked Mr. ** to add two of my children one aged 9 years old another 6 years old and I asked them about the price. Mr. ** said, “It will be $506,” without explaining to me what the amount he asked was for? Since I asked Mr. ** about the cost of two new tickets that I was about to add we were not talking about changing the date yet. Mr. ** put me on hold several times, at the end he said, “Sorry, that department is not reachable or something,” and I later found out that department he was referring to was for booking for minor travelers. And Mr. ** asked me to call back later.

    By the way, in the beginning of the call I provided my credit information for $506 thinking it was for the two children and it was not. I called back to find out what was going on, after over 35 minutes of wait I was able to reach another person who said the cost for 2 new tickets would be $2,430, I replied by saying the other agent whom I earlier spoke with said $506, he mumbled and said the airline prices are changing. Since it was a family emergency I had no patient to resist. I agreed to pay that amount and booked the tickets.

    On April 9th I called back to ask why I was charged $506 and to dispute that charge, the agent escalated a case and referred me to a supervisor. I was on hold for over an hour and I had to end the call because I had to go to the bathroom. I returned shortly and placed another call, agent who introduced himself as Mr. ** referred my call to a supervisor and again I was on hold for over 2 hours. Finally, I was connected to a supervisor named Natian who by the way said he was in India. He asked me to wait while he was listening to recorded conversation, after about 68 minutes of hold he said that it was not the agent’s fault. The charge was right, I explained to him that it was less than 24 hours I made the changes, he said he could not do anything.

    At this point, I asked Mr. Natian to change the return date back to 28 April as originally planned. Mr. Natian (the supervisor) asked me to pay $ 202 per passenger in this case 4 passengers total $ 808 If I wanted to change the date. I tried to explain and Mr. Natian refused to listen and said if I wanted to change the return date I had to pay 202 per passenger? I agreed to pay because I could not leave my wife and children overseas. So, Cheapoair charged my credit card over $ 1,250 in addition to $5,300 to the airline cost just for changing our flight less than 24 hours as they promise on their website for free of charge. I am planning to hire an attorney and seek legal help. Cheapoair put me on hold for over 3 hours to only charge me $1,310 at the end.

    CheapOair doesn't even deserve one star. This company is below zero star. We reserved a flight (booking #**) for Florida back in Dec 2016. The representative on phone by mistake booked it on wrong month. We needed on 28th Dec and he booked on 28th January 2017!!! We realized on the day before boarding.. so called CheapOair and requested correction or cancellation. But the people at CheapOair were so disgusting (it takes forever to get some manager on duty on phone line)... They did nothing. They knew it was their representative's mistake still they didn't gave us refund.

    After several trials of phone calls CheapOair Rep informed, that we will receive refund after their 2 billing cycle??? Which was almost closer to 2 months!     I was using the online booking. It took a while to go through the whole entire process especially I was booking for 5 people and then you get a pop up the flights was not available was frustrating. If they are not available, they should not be posted. What I thought saved the day is that one of your agents called me and offered to help. While it took almost an hour with him on the phone, we were finally able to book the flight I wanted and the price. I went out that evening and I had received a confirmation page. The website had switched full middle names to initial only for the 3 out of 5 passengers.

    When I contacted the Cheapoair, they tried to charge us $50 each, and we were within 24 hours but the agent said I had only till last night to change. So the manager Armando was going to submit a waiver for the change. I did not hear back from them so I called almost 2 weeks later when I received my VISA and notice the cost was more than the original price. I called the billing department Liska and they charged me preferred seating which I did not select because the agent had done it and to date we (5) do NOT have seats. What a joke. To now they told me a manager would be calling but no one has called back. But when I was booking online and it did not go thru, an agent called back within seconds to have my business. Judging by similar complaints I find on this site; I can see that this company is a complete scam.

    Cheated of airfare. Ugliest company I have ever dealt with. Stay Away! On Dec 27, 2016 I prepaid for a ticket from UIO to MDE with Insel Air bought thru CheapOair. After a few weeks I received an email from Insel changing my schedule from a 1-hour layover to six-hour layover. Insel asked if I wanted to keep the reservation, adding that it's Mandatory that I keep it. So I agreed to keep it. In March I received another Insel email stating that Insel was not sure that they could buy enough airplanes in time for my reservation, and asked did I wish to keep the reservation, so I asked that it be cancelled.

    On March 28 I received an email from CheapOair stating that my reservation was cancelled and a refund would be credited to my card. On April 18 I bought new reservations with CheapOair, prepaid. On April 28 I received an email from CheapOair that my original reservation had been reinstated with another carrier - and there would be no refund. So I'm stuck with two paid tickets. I can only use one. HOURS on the phone, HOLD HOLD. Dozens of emails, and I'm still stuck with two tickets. I threatened to sue them and to complain on public boards. Now they have removed all record of bookings pending from my account.

    I used the site to book a flight from Dubrovnik to Zurich. There were only a few seats left at the best price, so I booked the flight. Somewhere along the way I thought I saw a notice that I had 24 hours to cancel the booking with no charge. Not so I found out when I tried to do so. I think the charge was $60-$75 apiece to cancel (as in says in the small print somewhere on the site). I also noticed I had been charged for "Enhanced Seat Assignment", of which I was unaware. Based upon the charge I chose not to cancel.

    A week later our plans changed since our cruise booking company had booked us for a cruise that had a route other than the one we committed to, so we had to move the date of the flight out two weeks. CheapOair handled that quickly and efficiently, charging us an additional amount that our cruise booking company is covering. So in summary, I may use CheapOair again, but I will certainly be more careful when booking next time.

    Be aware of their sneaky policy before you make a decision to book on their website. U.S. Department of Transportation regulations require that, as long as you've booked a non-refundable ticket 7 days ahead of your flight, you're entitled to hold your reservation and the fare and change or cancel your reservation within 24 hours of booking, without paying a cancellation fee. However, CheapOair doesn't honor that law because it's a third party. They charge an absurd fee of $75 for canceling your ticket within 24 hours. It's basically all going into their profit because the airlines don't charge them for anything for canceling the ticket. Such easy money to make for them!

    I've used CheapOair in the past for international travel, so I searched here first for an upcoming trip. I found some great rates with good travel time where I'd leave at a reasonable hour and land at one, without too long a layover. I selected my trip and went to the next screen to enter my payment information. Once that was done, I hit submit, but received an error message. It said a field was left out, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out which one as I'd filled out every blank space. I tried hitting submit again just to try, and got the same error, so it was time to call customer service.

    I spoke with a very nice gentleman who was overall helpful - I'd like to say that first. But what made me pretty angry was when I asked about the missing field and he told me it meant the fares had gone up since I'd selected them. I told him I'd selected them minutes before, and immediately filled out my payment information - not a day later, not an hour later. He said the airlines could change prices at their own discretion. That may be the case, but that is a pretty big bait and switch for someone who selected flights under the assumption that what you'd listed as the final rate would be what I was paying. It's extremely shady for my flight to have suddenly gone up $80 dollars in MINUTES. He did his best to give me a discount, but it didn't quite reach the amount I was supposed to have been paying. I am sure he did what he could, and I let him know I understood it wasn't he who changed the rates.

    But here's a direct message for CheapOair - If someone selects flights and finishes checking out within a certain amount of time, like most ticketing websites such as Ticketmaster, Fandango, etc. who give you 10 minutes or so to complete a transaction, they should be guaranteed what they think they're getting, regardless of supposed airline whims.

    By giving me the false commitment by the agent named Drew CheapOAir cheated with me due to which I have to pay 1060$ (USD) and also the return journey has been cancelled. With booking ID **. And as a compensation they offered me 100$ waiver in the new ticket which is a big joke made with a customer in name of service. I will never use this service again and will soon file a legal complaint against this agency.

    I booked a return ticket from Warsaw --.Mumbai (14th April 2017) and return flight on 8th May 2017. When I came to know that my wife was not able to complete her single side journey I immediately called CheapOair agency (US) branch and as per talk with their agent whose name is Drew he confirmed me that only single side journey of my wife is cancelled and not the return flight. Now when I approached with my wife on 8th May 2017 on Mumbai Airport to take a return flight the Airlines didn't allow her to board on flight saying that she didn't took her departure flight from Warsaw and hence her return flight has been cancelled.

    Now I had a confirmation of CheapOair agent that her only 1 side journey is cancelled and not the return flight. CheapOair also confirmed me that it's the mistake of their agent and asked me to wait for 3 days in Mumbai so as they should take some decision. I tried calling them several times from India but their agents took tremendous time to connect with their supervisor which caused me lot of financial loss in mobile recharge as of international calls. Also they accepted that it was their agent's mistake but still they can't help me out and I have to pay entire amount of new ticket for me and my wife although they can give me discount of 100$. This caused me about 1200$ for new tickets. Nearly 1000$ to stay in Mumbai for 3 days until they gave their stupid decision. And also the original flight ticket (Warsaw to Mumbai and Mumbai to Warsaw).

    Please provide me some guidelines how to file a legal complaint against such fraud airways agency as I am in complete mood to fight the legal case against such cheaters in market. This had happened with me and I want to make everyone aware that don't book tickets with such agency which will frustrate you in your tense situation. I have talked with the advocate to get the process to file complaint against CheapOair agency in European Union Consumer court and also in India.

    I'm traveling in November and I had a specific flight and times to leave LAX. They were able to accommodate me after going back and forth a bit with costs that were changing in front of her but I got the right flight and times squared away by the end of the conversation.     I booked trips with this website and expected the trip is cancelled within 24 hours, as it said on the website. However, when I try to cancel within 24 hours’ time frame (1 hr with 30 minutes wait), it said I had to pay cancellation fee ($75/app). I was on the phone with them for 50 minutes and they gave me discount to 40/pp. I never felt so cheated in my entire life. The customer service on the phone said that it does not display the cancellation fee because it cannot display all information on the website. I went back and try to look for anywhere saying the fees, you actually had to click on the fonts 'Book with confidence, 24 hours cancellation', the fonts had the same color with other fonts that you had to book, which does not indicate that you had to click. Cheapoair is purposely hiding the cancellation fee information.

    Their web page had an advertisement "cancel within 24 hours". I had to cancel due to health reason within the stated 24 hours timeline, I was charged what they called a small fee of $75 per ticket which is about 8% of the ticket price. Coincidentally I had a similar situation for another flight with Priceline which I had to cancel within 24 hours, they kept their word and did not charge me anything for canceling. Zip. Zero. These guys are misleading their customers with big penalties by hiding it in their terms, keep away, there are a lot of other honest agencies out there.

    I made a reservation for two people and somehow when it sent, it had only the second person's middle name on it. Needless to say, changing it was very difficult. Cost me money and made me have to change my date and basic reservation. But the company lady in India stayed on the phone with me TWO hours to get a new reservation. I have no clue how the computer deleted the second person's name (it put mine in twice with their middle name). So all I can say is be careful to check your reservation - which I thought I did.     I made one of the biggest mistakes of purchasing an airline ticket through these scammers. When I wanted to change the flight dates they wanted me to buy four new tickets. They would never reply to your email or provide you any written information or policies. I end up canceling four tickets with $0 refund. Lost $2200 to these cheaters. I would strongly recommend you not to buy any ticket from them otherwise you will lose your money. I am also going complain about them to BBB.

    I booked flights for my wife but the tickets were issued in my name. I didn't notice this until it was too late. When I called CheapOair, they told me they could not refund the tickets but could offer a voucher for future flights on the same airline. I called back later to make arrangements for the voucher and their story had changed, telling me the airline would not authorize the voucher. I contacted the airline and they said that CheapOair, not the airline, was the only party that could offer refunds/vouchers. Apparently the "Cheap" in CheapOair is the company's stance on refunds/vouchers. This company used to provide great customer service, but has now lowered its standards to that of the major airlines. Shame on them.

    I booked a flight with CheapOair, but when I got the confirmation page, the website had switched the middle names of my wife and I. When I contacted the company, they tried to charge us $50 each and wanted to give us a new reservation WITHOUT the preferred seating we had paid for. They tried to charge us an additional fee for the new reservation, but after much protest, they seemed happy just to gouge us for the preferred seating. I finally just cancelled the reservation for a fee of $150 plus $14.95 to put the money back in our account. Then they notified me that we would not receive the refund for two weeks! They are withholding $2,669.20 for two additional weeks when they took the money out five minutes before we called to cancel. Judging by similar complaints I find on this site, I can see that this company is a complete scam. The Attorney General needs to shut them down from doing business in the United States.

    Does not even deserve one star. As a Canadian consumer I was forced through to the U.S. site of this business. I booked my flight which saved approximately $25.00 from booking directly with the airline... Or so I thought, not so much! When I received my confirmation e-mail it was in U.S. dollars and at this point in time is a significant increased difference to the current value of the Canadian funds. I contacted "CheapOair" immediately (within 3 minutes of my original booking) and spoke with several individuals to explain the situation. Essentially told, "Too bad. You should have noted it was a U.S. site that you were on." It was an inexpensive flight that would have cost me $110 but now is around $180, but luckily according to CheapOair - I could -pay a $50 USD, cancellation fee; but they "will be nice" and reduce it to $25! Yay! - Like that would help.

    I explained this was an emergency trip to a family member diagnosed with a terminal illness and unfortunately will be the first of many to come - still no compassion or decent customer service. Have learned my lesson - will NEVER use this company again. Regardless of my personal situation - this company should have had some common sense to see an error had been made on behalf of the consumer and had the wherewithal for some attempt at decent customer service given the timeline of events.

When you were on our website it displays the fares in USD, it advised you on the booking page, you will be billed in USD do you agree and if so, continue.     Bought flight ticket and CheapOair changed the flight date without authorization. Called to get date corrected and was told I would have to pay extra $80. Advisor blamed me for the mistake, which is a lie, and would not help to change the date back to the date I chose. Advisor said I would have to cancel and charge me $50 for cancelling the ticket. I flew with this company once before and had some problems then but this is the last straw. I won't be flying with them again and will definitely never recommend anyone to fly with them. From 20th Feb 2017, the day I cancel my ticket, they said, "Will take 1-2 months to refund your money."     I had a patchwork set of reservations to try to accommodate graduation dates. I needed to try to upgrade to two queen beds which they could not accommodate. But the hotel itself could give me the two queens and I rebooked there. In calling back to cancel, CheapOair charged me $30 fee for original booking plus a $25 a night cancellation fee (for 5 nights). This is outrageous. I will never use them again.

    Made a huge mistake by booking a flight on Cheapoair.com. Due to a system glitch, my flight dates got switched to alternate dates that had me returning home before the reason for my trip. Since I had not even looked at those dates, I didn't think to verify them before booking the flight. Within 10 minutes I realized the error and contacted their Customer Service department. What a joke. After about an hour of trying to make headway via the chat window, I gave up until the following day. This time I called the number listed and over the next two hours talked to 'Kelly', 'Patrick', 'Veronica', and 'Victor', was disconnected 3 times, and blatantly lied to. Victor was the last person I talked to that day and he told me I was in luck that I had 5 days to cancel the airline portion of the reservation but I still needed to pay a $50 per ticket 'convenience' fee. Convenience for what - their computer messed up and I was being asked to pay for that.

    He finally said he would mark it down to $25 per ticket, and since I was at work and couldn't spend any more time on the phone, I agreed. He sent an email but didn't bother to tell me I only had 3 hours to respond, which was not possible. Today when I tried to respond, I was told it no longer worked so again I called the customer disservice. Today I talked to 'Max' who told me the tickets were now non-refundable. I asked to speak to his supervisor but of course she was in a meeting. I suggested they review the recordings from the day before and they will hear that Victor said I had 5 days to cancel. He promised he would and that a supervisor would call me back. Funny there were any number that could call me back but none that could talk to me. And, predictably, none have called me back yet, even though it's been more than 5 hours.

    Fortunately for me, I used a credit card so I will dispute the charges thru them but I should not have to do that. I used their website in good faith and they sold me tickets for dates I did not request and cannot use. Then they insulted me by wanting a convenience charge for their screw-up, and then lied to me about being able to help me. Trust me, the prices on the other travel websites are just as good a CheapOair so do yourself a favor and stay away from this ripoff site.

We do not change any part of your reservation once the booking has been submitted for purchase. This was an over sight and you chose the first flight that came up with the cheaper fare, when in fact you needed to move down the availability. We offered to cancel this with our $25.00 cancel fee which you denied. We did review the call and the agent did not advise that you had 5 days in which to cancel with a refund.     CheapOair is probably the most unprofessional travel agency I have worked with. The customer service is unfathomable. Not only was I on hold for hours, but I was hung up on by multiple agents. I never once received a callback. Then I received an email almost 3 months later trying to resolve the situation. 3 MONTHS. The agency is unaware of the policies the airlines they work with uphold. I was on a three-way call with a CheapOair agent and a Copa Airline agent discussing a flight rebooking solution when CheapOair wanted me to pay a $300 fine that the airline didn't require. This agency is a total scam and I will never work with them again.

    I purchased a ticket with CheapOair. As soon as I paid I realized I had one letter wrong in the name for the ticket. I called right away! I talked to representative who informed me that I had to pay $25. I was angry because I'm on CheapOair for a reason. When I became angry she put me on hold and never came back. I emailed the company how dissatisfied I was with them and was going to forget it. 24 hours after I emailed I received email telling me I needed to send a PDF file with driver's license in the PDF file and full name right away. So I did, then I received an email stating I needed to contact customer service. I contacted customer service. They asked me if I wanted to change the name, I said I think I would like to just cancel. He informed me that it would cost me $50. Then he told me I would receive my refund within 7 to 10 days. I was not happy but I accepted it. I just wanted to be done with them.

    Then approximately 36 hours later I received an email stating even if I paid the $50 I still will not get a refund for my ticket. Well I panicked because I already purchased another ticket with another company. I called my credit card company and filed a dispute. I'm not sure how this is going to work out but I feel like they just messed me along the whole time. They charge me $25 they never change the name. They charge me $50 to cancel and now I think that they are going to charge me the full taking them out anyways. I cannot believe it.

    My daughter bought the ticket through CheapOair for me on Apr 22nd 2017 and swapped my first and last name. When I tried calling CheapOair, first agent said that she will have to ensure the ticket availability and then said she will charge 25 dollars. She said that airline is charging that amount. When I called back after confirming that I can not directly change at airline after 15 min. This time another agent attended and said charge is 50 dollar and the ticket price has gone up by another 100 dollars.     The absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced. My mother has booked with these people on several occasions. Once, when she booked a very specific itinerary then received her email confirmation, we saw that the dates were wrong. When we called back to have it corrected, they wanted to charge her more money in fees and difference in flight. We had to escalate, and once it was determined that their man made a mistake, they fully refunded after all the arguing. THAT process was quick, less than a few hours and it was done.

    Most recently, my mother again booked a flight. Now to put things in perspective, she is 66 and being treated for breast cancer and very trusting. She booked her flight, then realized she had a medical appointment the same day as departure. She called about cancelling and agent informed her she would need something from her doctor saying she could not fly that day.

    Cancelled her appt and my mother went on with her day. She then got an email a few days later stating she would need to send a document stating she could not fly that day and for a 12 month period following her booking. She called back and said of course she'd be able to flip within 12 months and if she couldn't get a refund without that, she wanted to keep her flight and rearrange her treatment schedule. They would not allow her to keep her flight anymore and still refused her refund.

    I called at this point, very upset, and spoke to "Alec" out of New Delhi, who called himself a supervisor. He essentially said it's not their decision whether to refund, it's all on United Airlines. They have to rely on United's decision and that could take 30-60 days to find out IF they would or wouldn't refund. He would try to pull the call and get back to me in an hour.

    2 hours later, I called back after not hearing from "Alec" only to be told technical difficulties prevented him from pulling the call. By this time, we'd reached out to United as well, who firmly deny the refund being their decision, saying it's up to CheapOAir to refund or not. Now I got to speak to "Joselyn", also out of New Delhi, who let it slip that "Alec" was only an agent, not supervisor like her, and she had the authority to get things done, unlike "Alec". However, I hear the same song and dance now, documents, etc. I explain, as plainly as possible, that had that document requirement been made clear in the cancellation call, the booking would not have been cancelled. My mother can't afford to risk losing that money altogether.

    She then tells me it would have been literally impossible for the cancellation to be done without disclosing those details, essentially saying we are liars. Then proceeds to go through what she sees as contact history, very aggressively trying to prove they did in fact provide those details. I ask her to pull the call and let me hear it. Technical difficulties again. Now, after telling me she needed proof that it wasn't disclosed before authorizing refund, she says she needs 24 hours to further investigate.

    Fast forward 24 hours, lo and behold, it's verified that agent did NOT disclose the details of the documentation that would be required but now we're back to putting the burden on United. Jocelyn promises that they are working with the "top management of United" but is unable to tell me who they are working with. At this point Jocelyn have argued back and forth for hours between two days. She's repeatedly contradicted herself and her fellow employees, backtracked, misspoken and even told me the refund money would be coming out of the booking agent's paycheck so she needed that proof in case he fought the decision. Are you kidding me now?

    Then, I ask her point blank, "Are you trying to say the full refund for my mother will come directly out of booking agent's check?" Her response? "Yes. Well, a percentage." So he loses his commission is what she means. Now she wants to try to sell me on giving them any documentation we can provide and they'll see what they can do to get Big Bad United Airlines to give my mother her money back. I can already see them making excuses to keep their booking fees, etc.

    Again, we are a week into this and still, even with proof, CheapOAir is still trying to avoid taking any loss even though it's been proven that their people screwed up. I'll be contacting United as well, because if, for once, CheapOAir is not lying, then they need to held accountable for their partner's customer treatment as well. Is $351 and change really worth your reputation and the trust of your clients? No customer service experience has ever disgusted me more.

    Three days ago I tried booking flight on CheapOair from Riyadh, SA to Minneapolis (MSP), MN. Even though the same Air France flights that I selected were still showing on their site, each time after selecting the flight and entering my personal information including all Credit Card details I would get message that says "Oops someone just grabbed the last seat on your selected flight." Then I try booking the next available flight at a higher price and I get the same thing.

    Hours later I tried their site from my home computer and the same flights that I was told were gone were still there. And when I tried booking again the same thing twice again at different prices. This happened two days in a row. I got frustrated and closed out of their site, and my phone rang from their customer service. When I told the guy my experience and asking why those flights are still showing there and what happens to my Credit Card and personal info, all he said was to try their site back in a few hours. Of course I did not. I ended up booking the same flight through Travelocity albeit at $80 more, but at least it was done. I think this is tantamount to fraud, and I will never use or recommend CheapOair to anyone. Furthermore I plan to file a formal complaint with FTC and CFPB about this fraudulent practice.

    I bought the wrong ticket. Called 5 minutes later and attempted to cancel my ticket. They told me there was a cancellation fee of $50 on a $97 ticket? I asked for a supervisor and she told me I could not talk to one. I hung up, called back and was placed on hold. Repeated this 5 times. Then I threatened to call my bank with fraud. They went from a $50 fee to a $10 fee. I asked for a confirmation and they sent me a confirmation that I was getting a $14 refund when my refund was suppose to be $87 not $14. Another email that I received does not clearly state that the full refund is even guaranteed.

    I read other complaints with amounts in the thousands of dollars never refunded from this company. Normally I wouldn't care so much however reading about their track record and seeing that this is a common pattern I believe I will not receive a full refund. Their email explains that this was a "refund request" not an actual refund. They are an overseas company. I believe they are corrupt and manipulate people out of their money by leading them on. They should be investigated and closed. I've purchased and cancelled many flights of different amounts and I find it very strange how they conducted my cancellation along with the other reviews that I have read. Companies like this should not be allowed to operate. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE CLOSED FOR FRAUD.

I booked a flight with them, they cancelled it due to weather (I have the emails) but refused to refund the fare. I had to buy another ticket to travel. Then when I tried to board the flight to return home I was told I didn't have a ticket. CheapOair made me pay for a new return flight.     I purchased 2 tickets from Maui to Bangkok from Cheapoair over the phone for $2,370.00 USD, (Booking # **). I went over the spelling of our names 3 times and the agent on the line read it back to me correctly. I went directly to my computer when I got home and printed out the itinerary and double checked the spelling on both names along with dates and times of travel. All was correct. On the date of travel, we went to the airport, had the Airline Representative print our ticket to Japan (that was where we had a layover) and boarded our plane thinking everything was fine.

    Once in Japan we went to the counter and got our next ticket and showed our passport. The Airline Representative showed us that both of our names were spelled incorrectly. I showed her our itinerary with the correct spelling and she explained that the information that her airlines had received from Cheapoair was spelled incorrectly even though our itinerary was spelled correctly. Thank goodness she let us board the plane and we made it to Bangkok.

    Once in Bangkok I called Cheapoair and explained this all to them. They told me to fax them a letter explaining with my passports. I sent everything they asked for and the next day got a response from Cheapoair. Their response said I should never have flown with misspelled tickets and that they would not correct their mistake nor refund my money (even though they had spelled the names correctly on the itinerary). I am very dissatisfied with this company and will never use them again. This was 100% their fault and they took no responsibility.     Tried to cancel flight and CheapOair wanted to charge $50.00 per ticket (2) and you would get a credit of $82.00 per ticket and then the airlines would charge each a $200.00 penalty! I did not make this up! BEWARE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE COMPANY!

    I recently booked a trip with CheapOair via Spirit airlines. Spirit has recently changed their baggage policy where you now have to pay for any bag you bring on their plane. I was never notified that I had to pay extra for my bags until I checking in for my flight on the Spirit website. At that point, I was made aware that I would be paying an additional $45 for each bag, on each leg of my trip. I had 2 bags total which equated to an additional $180 total that I had to pay extra for my individual bags (or an additional $340 for both my boyfriend and I). I only spent $220 on the tickets and would have never booked a flight on Spirit if I was made aware that I had to pay extra for my bags when booking through CheapOair.

    I had tried calling customer service several times, but each time, I was put on a 45+ min wait over the phone. I have also tried reaching out directly to CheapOair via email and I still haven't gotten a response. I used to love booking through CheapOair, but the level of dissatisfaction in customer service is astronomical. I won't be booking through their site again.

    I get anxious when trying to book airfare online. I always expect to get taken advantage of. I just booked a flight for my mother with CheapOair.com. This was the 3rd or 4th time that I have booked with them. Each experience has been positive. This time, I thought I checked and double-checked the reservation, but after putting in my credit card and confirming the purchase I realized that I had my 85 year old mother laying over in Chicago overnight by accident!!! I immediately called the toll free number, was greeted by a kind gentleman who calmed me down and within 10 minutes or so, found me an alternate flight that met all my criteria. What a relief! Great service, great price. I absolutely booking with CheapOair.com.

    We purchased 3 international tickets from CheapOair that were unusable. The layover time on the flights they had connected was not long enough for the airlines restrictions. In SA you have to collect your bags after the first leg, then recheck them, then go through security and RUN to your gate 30 min before BOARDING time aka 45 min before departure, because they bus you to the plane. Once that bus leaves you are out of luck.

    We were given an hour and a half to do all of this per our ticket. As this was my first time in SA, I had no idea this was the procedure. Even though our flight arrived on time, there was no way to make the next flight. We were forced to buy 3 additional tickets at full rate. If you sell a ticket, the client should be able to use it. CheapOair should know the rules for the airport where they are selling a ticket. Even though I filed claims, they will not stand behind their product. If you are going to use them, make sure you know all the rules and make sure your ticket is valid. As ours were not.

    Well what can't be said bad about CheapOair that hasn't already been said. They are unreasonable, they don't care if they screw you over, they find ways to charge you more and their customer service is some of the worst I have experienced. They are very deceptive in the way they do business with you. I bought two tickets round-trip to Phoenix and I realized there was a typo on one of the passenger's info. So I called the number for any changes that needed made on the booking information. They came up with some reason for a $50 charge for one typo made. All they needed to do was change one letter, but they said it was a $50 charge.

    Then I realized I didn't want to go through them ever again and called to cancel the flight altogether. I called and they said it's $50 per person to cancel the flight and this was within two hours of purchasing the tickets. So my options were cancelling for $100 or have a passengers info edited for $50. I decided to go with the latter, but only after getting the ridiculous fee knocked down to $25.00. Then I look on my confirmation email and they charged me $10 more than they said they would. Enough said. I know that there are a lot of similar experiences with CheapOair and I hope that maybe they will consider changing their ways but that's a lot to ask for coming from a company that charges $50 for one typo. They are willing to screw you over to prevent any financial losses to themselves with no apologies given.

    I booked return flight from Mumbai to Chicago on Cheapoair.co.in. I got confirmed tickets also. 2 month back. My flight is on 30 June, I got reschedule itinerary now, in which return flight from Chicago to Detroit is there but next flight is from Cincinnati to Paris, how can I catch Cincinnati to Paris flight when I am in Detroit? No callback from CheapOair people. It's not yet resolved 1 week over.

    Once I escalated my issue with one of their customer support online representatives, I received a direct call from a supervisor, Albion **, who listened to me very well and didn't leave me till my issue was completely solved.     This is just to confirm that it seems I made a big mistake to do a booking through CheapOair. I'm suffering to check confirmation for my return booking and CheapOair customer support team are just trying to get rid of me by turning me to solve my booking issues directly with the carrier, and they even gave me a wrong number for the carrier that made people laugh at me. I have copies of my chat with their customer support as a proof on their useless "support" and my advice is stay away from this website.

    I will never use the service again. I was sent a confirmation email stating to check the name. It needed a correction to use my wife's maiden name, so I contacted CheapOair within 30 minutes and it was first stated with a heavy accent that it was $50. My wife didn't even understand there was a fee she was agreeing to because of the accent. When I asked about the fee less than 5 minutes later it suddenly changed to $60 dollars. Again this is all within 1 hour of ordering the flight online through the website. I've seen other review responses from CheapOair here that it's free to make changes within 4 hours; this is a false statement. Beware, the company does not honor this and you will be stuck with these fees. It's better to just avoid using this company, since they will not honor what they say they will.

    David, the statement is a free cancellation within 4 hours, changes are not free, because the airline can have a service fee accessed, and there can also be a fare difference. We will check the airline in which you are booked on, because name changes are not allowed once tickets are issued, and the airlines are getting over whelmed with "special" request, therefore they are now charging for that critical change if it's within 24 hours.
