This is a website I will never use again and will never let my family or friends use. CheapOair changed my returning flight without telling me, they then blamed me for scheduling the wrong date and said the returning flight had always been the day listed. 2 months later, after having bought a second return flight, scheduling called me and told me it was their mistake and my return flight was changed without my approval.
As any person would do, I asked for a refund. But only a refund for my returning flight, I still wanted to keep my correct departure flight. This was not done, and I got to the airport to only discover my departure flight had also been canceled. Customer service was rude, confusing, and misleading. I can not express enough how frustrated this company has made me. The prices are too good to be true and they will take advantage of you as a customer.

When you first enter your search you are asked how many people will be traveling. Is it fair to assume that your search will show the fare for 2 people OR at the very least, specifically say the fare that is showing is for only 1 person! You do not find out that the fare was for 1 person until you check out and if you're not careful, it is too late by that time.

Company inflated the cost of the airline ticket by $39.95 which presented in a second transaction. When calling customer service $25 of that is for the use of the website and another $14.95 for travel assist. It was explained to me that this is explained in the confirmation email. I noticed that the airline breakdown expenses did not match the itemized receipt by the airline. Those additional charges were buried into the airline expenses in the CheapOair itemized receipt. I would NEVER support or recommend a company that inflates another product for the sole purpose of making money. Very dissatisfied customer.

There is no option for negative star...I had a terrible experience with CheapOair. Firstly they confirmed the booking. After 2 days airline cancelled the reservation but CheapOair didn't notify me. By god's grace I came to know ticket has been cancelled two prior to my journey. So I called them up and asked for alternative solution and I had to travel. But they didn't help me here and they said only option is refund and it takes 30 business days. After a long fight I asked for a confirmation mail but I haven't received any such mails until now. They are pathetic people. I would recommend not to book via CheapOair. Rather I would advice you to book directly on the airline website. Spending $100 or $200 extra is more worth than booking with this third parties... I would recommend CheapOair to change the name to CheatOAir...

I called to make reservations from Boston to Sevilla Spain. Got a price and itinerary. I'm having problems with my computer, and I lost the email. I proceeded to make reservations on my own. Looking at the time spend traveling, it look like the email that I had lost, so, I proceeded to make the reservations. When I called because it look longer time, the agent told me that once I got to England, I would have to go to another airport. The distance would be from 1 hour to 2 in taxi. I was very upset. I'm 71 years old and having some health issues that will make that extremely difficult for me. Even though I have called immediately, the agent told me I would be penalized if I wanted to change and it will be additional for the other flight. I was quite upset about the issue.
Next day, I called again and talk to Kirk, he was more sympathetic to my issue. Finally, we switch airports, and although the time of traveling will be the same, I will not have to leave the airport. Today, I found the email were I had the same flights for $250.00 less. I have travel with your company before, but I think I will not do it again. This incident has really sour me. Knowing that the passenger is elderly, and you send them two hours away to another airport? Also, Where is the savings? I could have flight with any airline for what I'm paying you. I will let my family and friends know about this incident, so they are aware of where they go for services.

I called to change my flight dates and was told there would be a 274.00 charge to change my dates, and if I cancelled my flight it would be 100.00 charge. I am so upset, I will never book with CheapOair again. I never hardly fly so I thought I was covering myself when I purchased the travel protection ins. plan, so I thought I could just call and change the dates. No problem since I had that. Boy was I wrong. This company should be ashamed for taking peoples hard earned money. I spend 446.80 on 2 tickets and after canceling them both I was charged another 100.00 to cancel, so that's $546.80 I'm out of. They only gave me a credit of $194.92 if I rebook another flight. What a ripoff $546.80 and only get 194.92 credit. Never again will I book with them.

After using CheapOair for more than 3 years, lately spending 5 thousand dollars PER MONTH, and recommending ALL my employees (around 20 reservations per month) to use CheapOair, the day that I need to make a change in my tickets THEIR REPRESENTATIVES TRIED TO RIP ME OFF IN 750 DOLLARS for a simple change in my scheduled flight.
I wanted to change it FOR ANY OTHER DATE. ANY. ANY AT ALL. I did not have ANY requirement, I said get me ANY date you want, anytime from now, on the cheapest combination they may have available, this year or next year, with any amount of flight connections. No requirement at all. They wanted 750 dollars (even though I could find on their website HUNDREDS of options for 820 dollars TOTAL for a NEW ticket. I asked to speak with a representative and I was treated disrespectfully, no help at all, and even making fun of me Telling me: "go ahead, contact the airline and see how good of a price you get". So I contacted the airline, and I got my change of schedule for 345 dollars TOTAL.
SO, "Cheapo Service Air": this is exactly the perfect way you lose one GREAT customer like me, and ALL my employees that I sent to your website. I will buy my 5 monthly thousand dollars worth of flight fares SOMEWHERE ELSE Because, after all, their page IS NOT THE CHEAPEST, IS NOT THE EASIEST TO USE, and, now I know, IS NOT AT ALL DECENT in the way they help your customers. Feel free to contact me if you need further details on these crooks. I HAVE A RECORDING OF THE CONVERSATION WITH THEM. I will make sure everyone knows what I have experienced with these people.

This is the first time I used CheapOair and it will definitely be the last! Those who want to use their service please think twice! CheapOair are charging you high service fees on top of the fare and trying to make money wherever they can. Their best price guarantee is a joke and they have the worst customer service ever! The following is my experience with them. I booked two tickets from Beijing to Los Angeles for my parents on August 2, 2017, the price they quoted was $908 each. Since the best price guarantee window popped up when I booked the tickets, I didn't think too much for I thought I could price match even if I bought the tickets at a higher price. So I checked the price on other websites like Kayak, Priceline, etc. as well as Air China website immediately after that and was very upset to find the price was $874, I.e. $34 less each.
Therefore, I called the customer service and wanted to cancel my reservation, that was within 10 hours after my reservation. The representative told me I had to pay $75 for each ticket to cancel because it's their policy. Can you believe it? Within 10 hours, you have to pay $75 for each ticket!!! When I mentioned the best price guarantee, she gave me their email address. However, I checked my online banking and found Air China only charged me $878 per ticket, which was only $4 difference each ticket, so I didn't bother. Two days later I received a Balance Due Collected email from CheapOair.
I immediately called the billing number and complained about the money charged. They clearly told me that the $60 is for their service, that they are a travel agency and have to collect the service fee. Why don't they state it clearly in their email? Instead they said it's a portion of my fare! It is neither taxes, shipping fees nor insurance fees! I have used Kayak and other websites and it never happened to me! The price other websites quote includes taxes and everything. Also, it also means the price they quoted was not the best price. However, they told me the 24-hour price match limit had passed so they could not do price match for me! It's only because they collect their service fee after the best price match expires! Who knows they can keep your credit and billing information 24 hours after you booked the tickets and use it to charge you extra?
I called and was transferred to different lines (they outsourced the service to Indian people who have strong accent and don't know much!) and the reasons they gave me include that I have already agreed to the price they quoted, they are entitled to extra service fees and I did not read their terms and conditions before I booked the tickets. I agreed to the best price which they guaranteed, but not the quote, or extra service fee they collected! The truth is they may have most probably added extra to the original fare (since the price quoted by other websites is much lower) or used the fluctuating nature of ticket prices to make dishonest money! I have read their reviews and other customers also lost a lot of money for this reason! They charged a person $200 for their service on top of the fare! They are not giving us the lowest price!
FYI, they are also trying to make money elsewhere. I was selecting seats for my parents, and no matter which seats I selected, CheapOair charged me some $30. So I gave up and selected seats with Air China, guess what? the seats are free! However, when I mentioned it, CheapOair said they don't charge for the seating. If the airline doesn't charge, where does the money go to? Besides, the last lady who talked to me as if I were an idiot. She asked why I didn't read their terms and conditions carefully? Do you always read the terms and conditions before you book an airline tickets? I wonder. Please be careful before you choose CheapOair. Hope what I write is helpful!
Yifang, very sorry for the experience you had while booking on our website. All the information you described is listed in our terms and conditions and as you mentioned, you don't read them. The bpg is for the cost in airfare and as mentioned $4.00 difference, you cannot include our service fee that we charge for processing your reservation, ticketing it, and keep track of it until day of departure for any airline changes. The fee is for the cost of doing business, and it's not uncommon for travel sites, or airlines to charge for their services. My apologies for any inconvenience.

I was surprised to find I was charged a $100 fee for cancelling a trip that was covered under the travel insurance I purchased when booking. I rescheduled a different trip without purchasing the insurance, believing I had 24 hours to cancel as the site advertises. This turned out not to be true. After determining that I would still not be able to travel and cancelling the trip well within the 24-hour window, CheapOair charged me another $100 cancellation fee, and the airline charged me over $150 each for two tickets. When I called CheapOair to question these charges, I was directed to a fees and policies tab at the bottom of the page, and the last in a long list of fine print, for these cancellation policies. When I asked why at the top of the page in bold print they promised "free cancellations within 24 hours," I was repeatedly told to go to that tab. This is flagrantly misleading advertising. A trip I never took cost me over $500.

They are a scam!!!
Dee, we do see that this was booked online and an alternate date was chosen by you,. that would be the reason for the different dates. The $700.00 was the price difference for the date you chose, and what you actually wanted. I feel like these people are a bunch of thieves trying to somehow fool you. My experience booking with this website has been a nightmare. This is the second time I try to book flights with this website and both times the very same thing happens... After I've picked my flights, itinerary and times, reviewed them like two or three times (especially the second time, after getting burned the first time with them), confirm the tickets, buy them and then BANGGGG, the confirmation comes back with COMPLETELY different times??!!
So I have to call them to try and fix it, (literally within minutes after I get the confirmation) and that's where they start killing you with extra fees after fees, and extra charges for "re-booking" to the point that it gets RIDICULOUS. After all the extra charges (FOR THEIR MISTAKE, "GAME"), my total charge (for 6 tickets) went up buy $535... I just had it with them and decided to cancel the whole thing, which in turn ended up costing me $300 in cancellation fees. WILL NEVER USE THIS WEBSITE EVER AGAIN AND IF YOU'RE BOOKING WITH THIS WEBSITE BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THEM.

Booked with CheapOair a family vacation in May 2017. While in Montana I received a call from Fire Marshal that a home I had recently purchased had been struck by lightning and a fire had destroyed over 50% of the structure. This was on Sunday and I could not find out all I needed by phone, so I decided to fly back home that day and leave the family to finish the vacation.
I called CheapOair and made a new reservation to fly back that Sunday and cancel my flight on the upcoming Wed. with the family returning. CheapOair said there would be a $356.00 change fee charged by Delta Air. I felt that was high but I really needed to get home. Drove to airport within three hours of booking and was in airport when my insurance agent called and said I was completely covered and even with the fire damage I did not need to come home before the end of the vacation. I immediately told Delta, they understood and said I needed to call CheapOair and change back to the original flight. I did just that and was told Delta was going to charge me another $200.00 for change. I thought this is outrageous, but if Delta charged this I had to pay.
When I flew home I talked the Delta rep during a lay over in St. Paul, I was informed that Delta did not charge any change fee on either change. Also the original flight with my family had never been canceled or changed. Delta would not have charge any fee either due to the fire emergency. I have since arriving home verified with Delta no change fees or charges were made by Delta but CheapOair is still demanding payment from my credit card company. Sending fraudulent claims that they had paid Delta these fees.
I also submitted a claim with the travel insurance company recommended by CheapOair, but the claim was denied. The flight insurance company "Trip Mate" is a subsidiary of CheapOair. I have spent countless hours on the phone with CheapOair trying to resolve this dispute. Needless to say I will not use CheapOair again and would recommend that you do not either. I'm not going to drop this, I am going to the FAA and see if anything CheapOair did was unlawful.

I had the worst experience with CheapOair. I'm not the one to write reviews but I have been so fed up with these people. On February of 2017 I had purchased a 2 way ticket to Europe for two departing from JFK on July 15th 2017. Unfortunately for me, due to heavy traffic that day, I arrived at the Airport 45 minutes prior to the departure time and I was informed that the check in and the gate had already been closed and I could not get on that plane. I called CheapOair to see if they could help me board another plane that day. I was informed since I missed the flight they have to consider me a NO SHOW therefore the entire trip for two including the return had to be voided (In other words I lost the money for the two airplane tickets in the amount of $1855.88). They could only offer me "Airline credit".
The agent I spoke with (I regret not taking his name down) suggested since the airline I was originally supposed to fly with, did not fly to Europe that day again, I could purchase a one way ticket to my destination with another airline and use the"Airline Credit" to purchase the return ticket. I did as the agent suggested. I bought one way tickets for two and also paid for selective seats which I NEVER SAT ON since they had been sold to someone else.
A week prior to coming back I called CheapOair to book the return flight by using the "Airline Credit". I was informed that I could not possibly use the "Airline Credit" to book a one way flight for two. I was devastated that they played me this way. I thought CheapOair was a serious agency and reliable. It didn't take long to realize they are a bunch of liars who like to rip people off their hard earned money. I went ahead and used another agency to book my way back to the States. I would never use CheapOair again. AVOID CheapOair AT ALL COSTS. They are there to feed you any lies to make them business. This also went unanswered until I called their main customer service line to explain the situation (again) to a customer service rep. At this point, I just wanted a price adjustment as ALL of the available packages for my flight had gone up across the board, but, as before, this rep also spent a decent amount of time talking over me and offering to cancel the booking with no cancellation fees instead of just refunding the difference. It wasn't until I read CheapOair's BPG policy, word for word that he went to ask his supervisor. The supervisor never got on the phone and ultimately, I was refunded. Initially, he tried to tell me that I was going to get a lesser amount back than what the difference was, but at the end of the call changed it to the proper amount after I cancelled something that was 'automatically applied'.
Ultimately, The issue was resolved and that was my goal. It was a headache to deal with and I believe that more respectful Customer Service reps would make a huge difference, but it's not my company. The refund was not for $100, but the difference that was refunded was the correct amount. The refund comes in 2-3 installments, so I'm keeping an eye out for the last two. I've changed their rating to two stars since they did end up refunding the difference, but it was pulling teeth. They also made it a point to answer all of my emails and send me satisfaction surveys after the issue was taken care of (and I think they saw this review). Customer service is in great need of improvement, and I doubt that I will continue to purchase from them if avoidable. If this is how they act towards their own customers/policies, then I'm good. I am grateful that the issue was resolved and that they took the time to respond.

I booked my trip abroad via CheapOair and moments after I booked, I found the SAME ITINERARY available for over $100 less. I called to cancel my itinerary and book the cheaper option, only to be repeatedly hung up on, forwarded or placed on a permanent hold by an automated system. When I finally got a real person, I was told that I would be charged a $75 cancellation fee even though I booked my flight 15 minutes before. The reasoning was that the 'airline had already sent the ticket', which is rubbish because I booked the ticket 15 bloody minutes ago! The money hasn't even been taken from the card yet, how have the tickets been sent?
So I went on to explain this to 'Mark' who proceeded to raise his voice and speak to me like I didn't have the ability to add 2 and 2 together. I asked if there was a way to do a sort of price match or anything and he just kept saying "no" and that it's guaranteed that I've gotten the best price and if the price has changed, then I wouldn't be able to see it unless I went through all of the steps to rebook the same package. You would've thought I was a complete imbecile with the way this man was speaking to me. Completely unhelpful and inappropriate. Usually, I book through CheapOair, but after the customer service phone call, I doubt I'll give them business again.
Alice has been refunded the difference she had requested, $100.00. We consider this matter closed.

The customer service was outstanding, very nice to talk and they were very helpful. In the other hand, the policies of CheapOair need to be review since charging $50.00 dollars to the customer just for correcting his name, are not helping the company to have long time customers and bad publicity for CheapOair as well.
Pedro, our apologies for the inconvenience. Once tickets are issued name changes/corrections are often not allowed due to FAA rules. We have to request waivers from the individual airlines, once approved your ticket has to be reissued. it's very time consuming and airlines are now asking for a penalty for their time, on top of ours. Everyone should check out their travel documents prior to making a reservation for accuracy on how their names are entered to avoid problems like this.

They stress there was only four tickets left and I had to book and since I was going for my daughter's wedding I paid and took the booking only to find out that a few days later my son got the same destination for $1,500 less going on a different Airline. When I called and tried to change I was told I could not even though I have a physical problem that will make the layover very painful. I got no help whatsoever and was told I could not change unless I paid separately. It cost me 2,500 VS the 800 my son paid elsewhere. Come to find out this company only sells seats others can't fill.

The customer representative was polite and helpful, so far she's the only representative that I talked to that was nice and informative. The rest was rude and lazy. Problem was they increased the price when I ordered her to booked a flight from Cebu-Dallas. I saw it online the price was 1,070.43. But then she sounded out that based on her computer, it was $1235.43. I Was like seriously they will really take advantage of you once you badly need that flight. I should have booked it myself online, but the thing is I need to cancel one of my brother's flight since I need to put him with the same flight with my sister.
She said they will charge me $200 for cancellation fee, which fine with me. When I determined the statement from my credit card, American Airlines took only $1035. 43 and they took the $200. This is really frustrating when you saw it online the real price was only $1070.43. They deceive me. I have been a loyal customer since 2013 but I think that doesn't matter, what matters is that they can get more money in their clients. One thing for sure, I will never use CheapOair again.
Customer was refunded $75.00 as a goodwill gesture, we would consider this case closed.

Just booked a flight a week ago with CheapOair. Today I looked up my confirmation with them to put together my schedule, and noticed my name was wrong. I logged in with Facebook who has my correct spelling, and my daughter's name was correct. They tagged it and said I wouldn't fly if my name wasn't exactly matching my ID. There was a number to call to change it, and they rudely asked me why I waited so long to say something.
"When I booked it I didn't notice," I said. Why would I misspell my own name. They then proceeded to charge me to change it. $50! I wondered if anyone else had a problem and found on reviews that it happens a lot. CheapOair is not cheaper after they pull this on you! I had another flight where I purchased insurance and then canceled for blizzard conditions in MN. They would only cancel and refund after the fact, if the airline canceled the flight. So the risk is canceled and bank it or risk losing all of my money, family of four, very expensive. Well I canceled, and when I went to use the credit, I had to use the same airline, the same distance. Sun Country Airlines only flies certain days, so to rebook is difficult. Also they charge $250 per person to change it. What a rip off!!! I will NEVER use CheapOair again! I would never ever trust a company that is so underhanded.
Laura, the website inputs exactly what is entered into the system, mistakes can happen that is why it is so important to look over anything you purchase and check for accuracy. You have 24 hours from the date you purchased to call and report any problems, you could of canceled and rebooked with the corrected name without incident. As for the other problem with airline cancellations, that is upto the airline to refund your ticket at that time if you chose to keep the credit, that credit is only good on that airline, those are airline industry rules, not ours. If you still require help with changing your ticket, we will be glad to submit to the airline, and request a name change waiver.

They promised 2 luggage for my travel which was Rome to Turkey and Turkey to Iran being the final destination. I went to Rome Airport to find out that Pegasus only allows 1 luggage for 20KG and they ended up charging me $13 EUROS per extra KGs which totaled $435.02 Canadian $ for my extra Luggage.
This is absolutely ridiculous that the rep at Cheapoair did not provide the correct information and guaranteed me the best price as I booked last minute and chose to have an extra stop in Turkey instead of going straight to Iran. I could have booked a flight with Lufthansa straight to Iran for $500 Canadian $ where I instead had a 3hrs layover and ended up paying a total of $758 with my luggage.

I always booked with CheapOair in the past. But this time, the experience with the customer care and the booking done left me with horrible experience. We requested the customer care to prepone the booking from Detroit to Hyderabad (Detroit to Dallas (AA Flight), Dallas to Abu Dhabi (Etihad) and Abu Dhabi to Hyderabad (Jet Airways).
The customer care guy (Brian) took like 10 mins every time I asked to provide me for a better price for the dates I mentioned. The call took 45 mins to modify the reservation. Once the booking is confirmed, they never updated the reservation on the CheapOair website. I called the customer care again asking for the confirmation number. Guess what, the customer care gave me 2 confirmation numbers as the guy Brian booked American Airlines flight separately and Etihad separately which I was not told during the booking.
Once I go to AA ticket counter, they could not retrieve the booking for Etihad flight and gave us the boarding passes till Dallas, where we are told to collect baggage and check in the international flight again with the layover time of 2.30 hours. They indicated that the ticket agent did not book the whole itinerary on a single ticket but made 2 separate bookings. It was a hell to collect the bags from Dallas Airport and locate the Etihad ticket counter and follow the same international check-in procedure. I am never going to recommend CheapOair in the future to any one for such a bad customer service.

First and last time using CheapOair. I booked a flight online and the dates were not what I submitted. I called customer service 20 minutes after I booked. CS said I selected alternate dates which showed at the bottom of my selected dates. I explained I did not see that and I could not fly on the alternate dates. The dates I needed would cost me $1100 more so I requested a refund. CS stated they could refund the money with a $50 charge per traveler which would cost me $300. This is 20 minutes after I just ordered the tickets!
I explained I purchased trip cancellation insurance. They stated that can only be used for a dire medical emergency with documentation. Which means you're paying for no protection unless you are deathly ill and want to go through the process of proving it. So beware of using CheapOair because it is anything but cheap and would not recommend. Will stick with the airlines and maybe pay more but use a reputable airline company.

I reached their customer service and in order to get the dates I requested, I had to pay an additional $163. To cancel the whole thing, I would have been hit with a cancellation fee of $50. It just wasn't worth it to make another reservation with a different airline adding in the $50 cancellation fee, so I paid the additional $163 just so I could get the flight. I immediately called your company to correct the issue (Less than 5 minutes) only to be charged $120.00 for the change. I experienced a bad CheapOair's customer service after I booked a flight. I booked the flight for my wife on May 10 per Cheapoair.com (after a Visa Office told her that her visa to USA would be delivered to her in three to five business days) and the flight (from PEK to PDX) was scheduled for June 6. And then after the business days, my wife didn't receive her visa, and the office didn't tell her when she would receive her visa either, so I began to contact CheapOair's agents to ask about rescheduling or canceling her flight at end of May.
English is my second language, it very difficult to understand the agents who spoke with strong accent, so I always tried to ask them to email me the information. And one of the agents emailed me on June 3 to say "...When you use the credit, there will be an airline penalty of CNY1000/USD 147.00 per person, plus any applicable fare difference. Please don't forget that you need to do this before the date of departure." By following this email I had to cancel the flight on June 5 that charged me extra $50 but didn't refund or credit a cent for this book.
Later on June 9, my wife finally received her visa, so I rescheduled her flight (to June 14) through a CheapOair's agent. Later I found some problems about the reschedule charge from the agent's email. So I began to email feedback@cheapoair.com to ask the question about the charge for rescheduling the flight. And then one response from feedback@cheapoair.com to explain the charge as below: Airline Penalty: 147.00 USD. Fare difference: 123.70 USD. Agency service fee: 106.00 USD.
For this explanation, I only understand the first charge and accept it. For the second charge, I have the two fares price on hands: the original one was $432.96 (for June 6), and the next fare was 451.66 (for June 14), so the fare difference is wrong. For the Item 3, I am not clear where it was from. In the agent's email on 6/3, she didn't mentioned about it.
I asked the question about the charges by emailing feedback@cheapoair.com. Since June 10, there are at least 20 emails between me and cheapoair.com, but I got no answer to the questions I am concerned. Sometimes the responses from CheapOair seemed to come from robots, because they didn't answer your questions with exact answers but some formatted ones. I am very disappointed to cheapoair.com with two things: I got unfair treatment from this company about the charges of rescheduling flight including the “Cancellation fee”. This company's customer service doesn't answer my questions about the Fare difference, Agency service fee, and the cancellation fee.
Ning Fu, the prices difference is due to the timing of when you first canceled and the current pricing was available for the add collect. Because it was not done that exact day, you now have to go by the current fare at that time. Fares do change constantly as the seats get booked. We would be happy to go back over your options, and assist with rebooking.

Jash, you used a bank debit card therefore your bank automatically puts a "pre authorization" on your card when you booked. It put's the money aside and also verifies if the card is valid. Once the tickets got issued that's when the actual charge goes through. It will appear like you've been charged twice, but in fact you haven't. As discussed with you, and you bank, the authorization will drop off within a few days. Unfortunately this happens alot with debit cards, it's sometimes better to use a creditcard to prevent the additional hold on the card. But this is resolved, and we show no extra charge, and your bank will release the funds in a few days. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

"No problem", I thought, "the policy says no charge for changes made within 24 hours." In fact, I was charged $40 for changing from one day to the next on the same flight. I was also double billed, so $737.70 was debited from my account for a $365 flight. I was told that two of the charges will be taken off, but it could be 2 weeks. None of this was explained or made clear at the time of the change of flights. Clarity and honesty are always the best policy!! And yet, thanks for generally providing good service.

On the April 2017 I bought a ticket from Denver to Israel for $697.93. It was the first time for me to use this company. The website picked my last name twice, as a last name and as a middle name. I do not have middle name. I had conversation by email to Michelle ** about to make correction. After three week received email that it is not possible. The CheapOair give me offer to buy a new ticket with pay different amount plus pay $25 fee for corrected mistake that company did. It wasn't my mistake.
So I canceled the ticket with no refund money to my bank account and the CheapOair charge $50.00 for cancellation fee. The CheapOair gave me a credit. But I have to use it for the same airline company and the same distance by the April 12th 2018. I am not going in the next year to the Israel. I have a plane to go to Europe or travel inside US. The credit must be flexible distance with the same air company. Absolutely inconvenience company! I am not recommend to use the CheapOair. Also, the one flight connection was canceled.
Svetlana, our apologies for the inconvenience. As a travel agency we must follow the rules of the ticket that are mandated by the airlines, not CheapOair.com. You are given 24 hours to review the confirmation and advise us of any errors, unfortunately this was not done and your ticket is non refundable, as well as a restricted ticket. We will be glad to assist you with making new reservations when the time comes.

I purchased a ticket online to visit my family in Costa Rica, the names in my Costa Rican passport do not have my married name and it causes confusion when traveling. I have found the way to make it work but this time I totally forgot! So I called right away (within 30 minutes) to add my second middle name... no way no how unless I paid them for it. The 24 hr window to make changes was no longer available. I received this response from the Customer Service Team: "We would like to inform you that as per FAA guidelines, once the ticket is issued, name correction/change is not permitted. It totally depends upon the airline if they allow the correction.
For the correction you will have to pay the amount which has been advised to you by our team. If you agree to make the payment then kindly let us know so that we can assist you better." Interesting enough the change was allowed if I paid the fee... regardless or the FAA or what the airline thought about it. CheapOair has the worst customer service and "Beware" of their hidden fees...
Patricia, our apologies for the inconvenience you are experiencing with the name error. Our agents were only following policies related to making changes to an existing reservation. You were offered 2 choices, in which neither one you had agreed to. Once tickets are issued name changes are often very difficult to get corrected and is all upto the airlines. Because your ticket was still within 24 hours, we did offer to cancel the booking with a $50.00 fee, which was later reduced to $30.00, or keep the booking and we would try for name correction with COPA but they also have a $50.00 fee which is not our rule. Both options were not acceptable. Therefore, we would be happy too still contact copa on your behalf, to get the name corrected. Reach out to our sales office if you decide to correct it.

I called in to book a flight with CheapOair, and the agent that picked up the phone was able to find the flight I was looking for. However, my flight originated from LAX and was going to MDE with a connection in Miami. This was what I was told by the agent at the time of booking the flight. Everything looked good so I went ahead with the booking. A day before the flight, I called CheapOair to figure out the baggage policy since I was making an international trip, and it was at that moment the agent disclosed to me that I was going to have to change airports to catch my connecting flight. I was never told this at the time of booking.
She said that my first flight was going to FLL and then my connection flight was leaving from Miami International. I was puzzled as to how she expected me to get to that airport seeing that I am not from Miami. So I let her know that that arrangement cannot work and then she transferred me to a different department that takes care of these types of situations.
Long story short, I spent over 3 hours on the phone with different agents and managers, got hung up on several times and got blamed for not knowing that there was an airport change (even when I wasn't told by the agent), and ultimately, nothing got done about the issue. My flights were never changed to make it more convenient either on the departure leg or the return.
This was my first time booking anything on CheapOair, and it was most certainly my last! Even worse than making the mistake on the booking, the way their customer service department treated me was utterly disgusting, and I would not like any paying customer to be treated in such a manner. If there was a Zero star rating, that is what they deserve!

February 2016 China Southern at SFO informs me I need a visa to stay in Guangzhou (CAN) during my layover, because of midnight falling in the middle of 23.5 hours in China. And I needed to get it two weeks ago. China Southern tells me there is nothing they can do. Only CheapOair can change my tickets. So CheapOair.com charges me $500 fee and cashes out my return ticket so I can get a ticket with a layover that meets Chinese Immigration rules. What China and CheapOair.com are not telling their customers is there are other stops in China on your way on to for example Southeast Asia. When you land in China Guangzhou for example you go through Immigration and then get back on the same plane as a Chinese DOMESTIC flight to Wuhan China. Then you clear Immigration at the next Chinese airport and fly on.
Long story short CheapOair.com is selling tickets that have extra stops in China not on your itinerary and it forces you to have to actually enter the country versus just waiting at the airport for your connecting flight. CheapOair blames this on the customer and then forces you to buy a new ticket and pay a huge fee. I am going to bring this to the attention of the U.S. State Department and the FAA. China is not informing you that you truly have to enter the country. CheapOair is not informing their customers of the extra stops on the itinerary.

The stress for two minors and their 81 yr old grandmother was not even acknowledged by the company. I emailed. It was ignored. I rang to complain to ensure it was sorted for return leg of journey was okay and was put on hold for over 30 minutes and still didn't get to chat to anyone. It was mysterious cutoff. I will be ensuring that matter is highlighted to everyone that will listen until it is acknowledged.
UPDATED ON 07/28/2017: Warning to others to avoid this company at all costs. They don't stand over your booking. No back up service. After a disastrous start to this trip, when treated like third class citizens. Had to spent over two hours trying to prove to airline that we had a booking before eventually allowed to board plane. To make the outward bound leg of journey. Made a number of complaints all ignored, rang the company to complain only to be put on hold then mysteriously disconnected after 30 minutes. After posting a blog on here I get a phone call every day requesting me to remove the blog. Yesterday was told everything was fine with the return leg of the journey. We had seats on the flight for the return journey. Everything was in order. For the seats we booked and paid for months beforehand.
Despite the lies given to me, that everything was in order and to remove the blog, I told the company I would only consider removing the blog when the journey was completed. I received no less than 7 phone calls about my previous blog. When the party attended the airport for the return leg of their journey not only had they no seats but no booking could be found. After 2 hours of hard work by the staff at American Airlines. Only two of 3 the bookings could be retrieved. I rang CheapOair during this incident who were so so unhelpful. I have a crying totally distraught teenager who fears she was going to be left alone in a foreign airport. The staff just quoted me booking numbers I already had. They told me to leave the American Airlines desk (who were the carrier provider) and go to a British Airways desk as that was who the flight was originally booked with (they sold to AA line).
The staff at American Airline desk could see how upset and distressed the teenagers and grandmother were and advised them to stay put she would go out of her way to help sort. I rang and asked to speak to a supervisor at CheapOair and was put on hold before being (wait for it) disconnected after 16 minutes. This company cares more about negative blogs than it does about the care of its customers. So if you don't want to be left stranded at the airport, or begging airport staff for assistance to get on a flight that you have booked and paid for in advance book elsewhere. No doubt I will be getting lots of calls after this blog. Yet at 2am GMT with an inconsolable teenager, a distraught grandmother this company didn't give a damn that I was totally distressed, feeling desperately in need of assistance quite a few thousand miles away needing them to stand over a booking I made with them. Avoid avoid avoid avoid at all costs.
Eileen, we do apologies for the inconvenience experienced at the airport. The booking was made as British airways however operated by Aer Lingus which was on the email confirmation, but was not noticed. This is what caused the delay and going to the wrong airline counter. But we are glad it got worked out! as for the credit card charges, when you called to make a name change, you asked if we had the credit card on file, and we said yes, it was our understanding you gave permission for the airline to charge your card to make the correction to the name. If you have charges you didn't authorize, please contact us so that we can go over them with you.

The Customer Service staff asked me to send proof of the reduced fare offer and I did. Imagine having a confirmed ticket in your hand and waiting to check in and the airline rep informs you he can't find your ticket? Can you believe how frustrating it will be? It happened to me last week. While I had paid for my ticket and had the confirmation emailed to me through CheapOair, the airline did not find my ticket and mentioned the ticket has been VOIDED. They even asked me "When did you cancel your ticket?" And I was like, "Why would I cancel my ticket and come to the airport to board the same flight?"
I called CheapOair and waited online for 2 hours and obviously missed my flight. Then I was connected to a supervisor who had no shame for screaming at me (just imagine my frustration at the time). Their feedback: "We won't have any updates for you until tomorrow." I asked them if they can book me on the next flight. They said it is impossible. I purchased my ticket from them for 670$ and I had to buy a new ticket (not through them) for 1300$ so I lost 600$ here for their mistake. They told me they don't know IF I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK. EXACT WORDS, so I wasn't even sure I wanted to travel cause I had to pay for my ticket two times. All of this aside the tone of voice was terrible. No apologies, no understanding of the situation of me being flightless at the airport?!
They refunded the money after 12 days but they still have to pay me back the extra amount I spent on the new ticket and sincere apologies. What if I didn't have enough money to buy a new ticket at that time? At this point I was frustrated, took a screen shot where it clearly said payment did not go through and decided to book it through a different website. A couple of days later I checked my account and the transaction was processed. When I called them they said it was not their fault, that it did go through. Good thing I took a screenshot, I asked them to give me a refund. After arguing with them for more than 2 hrs they finally decided to give me a credit.
Today I try booking a flight to Vegas again with the credit I have, well this is where it all begins. I was with them on the phone for 4:30hrs, they hung up on me several times, and mind you they had my phone number and I never got a call back. I nicely explained to him that I was not going to do that because I already knew what they were going to say, because they had nothing to do with the issue. I was on the phone with him for 45 mins on top of the 58 mins that I had already been waiting.
At the end he tells me that I can't use the credit for the days I wanted, so I gave him different days. He then tells me I can't get all the credit that I'm only allowed to use part of it. I told him that I had it on the email and it clearly said how much was my credit. After him putting me on hold for another 15 minutes he said he will be giving me the full credit. After 4+hrs I finally get to book my flight, but supposedly he gave me the cheapest flight and I ended up paying a lot more. I am NEVER booking another flight with them. I hope that other people can read this and never book with them. These thieves should be out of business. Mr. Howell, name changes are not allowed once tickets are issued, you also have upto 24 hours from the purchase date to cancel a non refundable ticket, and receive a refund in which we did cancel for you, and we did process your refund of the ticket cost. We consider this matter closed, as you did and will receive a refund.

I purchased flight tickets with Cheapoair which advertised 4 tickets left at this price. If you purchase the insurance you can get money back 7 days later. My husband decided to do something else so I decided to cancel. When I called they inform me that I couldn't get a refund, only if I die car wreck or some other tragedy so I ask why purchase insurance. Never will I purchase another ticket trough this company. They got the last laugh because they got not only the price for extra insurance but also 1000.00 for tickets we can't use.

I am sick to my stomach upset that your company takes advantage of people. We booked our flights thru your company and choose your site because you offered at $198 a ticket then once we placed our card with you and was placed on hold for a very long period of time, the customer service rep comes back on and says those tickets were sold out and that we have to now pay over $400 a piece for the tickets. We had to pay over $1400 for 3 tickets, you all should be ashamed of yourselves. There was over 40 open non booked seats on the both flights that we booked. We were traveling for a funeral service as well.
Nicole, seats can sell out at any time and does take time for the website to update. Spirit airlines is a low cost carrier and does take them alittle longer to update all the websites that pull from the same inventory. At that time when the agent advised you he could no longer get that fare, you had the option to cancel with no penalties, the tickets had not been issued and you were at no time under obligation to pay for the higher fare. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Dear Mr.Green, you purchase the ticket on June 20, you called on July 7 to cancel for a refund. You purchased a non refundable ticket, and those rules are mandated by the airline themselves. We also advise you during the booking process that the tickets are non refundable and that is the standard rules regardless with whom you booked your ticket with. As for the changes, usually you can make changes to the dates and pay the applicable penalty and airfare difference, you declined to make the change. Travel isn't until Aug, so if Tatiana changes her mind, give us a call, we will be glad to assist with the date change, but no name change is allowed.

I purchased 3 tickets through this website. Due to an unexpected change, we needed to fly out a day after. Since the ticket was booked within the 24 hours, 3 hours to be exact, I called their customer service line to cancel our flight. I must start by saying I never experienced such frustration with any customer service. Not only have I called over 6 times, but I have been disconnected while on hold, transferred to the wrong department, and to top it off, no supervisor ever picked up the phone! After 3 hours of trying to reach a supervisor or the executive office, an agent passed the phone to a floor manager that was extremely rude. CheapOair indicated that I would incur a fee of $75 per person for the cancellation of flights, while their website misleads travelers to have the ability to cancel within 24 hours.
When I asked to see their policy in writing, everyone hesitated but no one would provide me with the information. I also asked if they were able to accommodate me with a better flight that I found through another website. They then wanted to charge me as well for the change on top of the $3000 that I paid for the tickets. I had to cancel 3 reservations through another travel agency, which they were able to do at a full refund without incurring any fees. I find it very disturbing that they publish a misleading advertisement. I would like this message to be filed as an executive complaint. I am a frequent flyer and I have used other websites where I had the option to cancel within 24 hours without incurring any fees. I've also e-mailed them with the above information and have not received any confirmation of a call back or response.

I recently had a death in the family and had to make emergency arrangement to travel with a limited budget. I booked a flight on Monday and 5 minutes later noticed that I booked the wrong departure date. I called customer service to have it changed and pay the additional fee for price difference. I was given a new flight time leaving Thursday at 12:16pm but when I received my confirmation email on Wednesday it had a different departure flight time (7:16pm). I then called CheapOair where the Rep did not recognize the new flight arrangement they gave me but insisted that I take the 7:16pm flight with an additional rate increase.
Let me say that I would love to continue using CheapOair if we can come to a mutually benefiting conclusion. The Rep I spoke to on Wednesday informed me that the Rep on Monday put the wrong information into the system. I'm looking for an urgent and peaceful resolution to this situation because this is a very sensitive time with loss of a loved one. I hope we can resolve this immediately! The family viewing is tomorrow and I need a resolution right away. I do not and cannot pay any additional fare for this trying time. Please advise.

He offered us an upgrade for $80.00 each to be able to select our seats, which we accepted, and assigned our seats, which we wrote down. United Airlines was not aware of our seat assignments. Our credit card was charged $871.20 for our flight. CheapOair charged $180.00 for taxes and fees. Print out from CheapOair shows $145.62 for taxes and agency fees, which tells us we were charged too much. This was all done on July 2, 2017 (at fare prices of that day) would appreciate an explanation of what happened. Thank you.

I booked a flight and had to change my dates to fly in less than a 24 hour period of time. I was charged more money to do so. I feel very strongly that I shouldn't have been charged even more when the date was even farther out for my departure. If anything it should've made my ticket cheaper! It should not have cost me more money! I explained to the person helping me that I live on a limited fixed income of Social Security and that the price increase is very hard for me. I'm very displeased about paying more because it was like only four hours from the time I originally booked it!!! Emitt that helped me was great but that's not my problem or my issue here. It's the whole money thing!!!
Connie, very sorry to hear that the change in plans has caused a financial inconvenience. When ever you make changes to a booking, you have to pay the applicable airfare for that date. If you had booked the dates originally that you preferred, you would of paid the higher airfare in the beginning. We don't control the prices for the flights, the airlines do, and we must abide by the policies put in place.

This review is in regards to a booking I made through CHEAPOAIR.COM for Korean Airlines from Las Vegas to Manila ($2978.82). The booking was made on 4/19/2017 for 3 people (myself and my 2 children). When I received the confirmation ticket, I immediately noticed errors on the middle names of my children and I thought because of these errors, which doesn't match my children's passport that they might not be allowed to board the plane. So I immediately (just few minutes after booking) called CHEAPOAIR.COM's customer service and told them about the errors, but apparently per the representative they will have to charge me $50 for each name change plus ticket reissue fee (which was not clearly indicated on their website, plus there was supposed a change name function that you can click on their website but does not work neither).
I was devastated to hear their response so I asked if I could speak with their supervisor hoping they will give me consideration since my family don't have any other extra money for the extra fees which I didn't know they will charge even after a few minutes of booking. They transferred my call from one person to another multiple times and all these people consistently do is telling me that I will get more charges for either by moving forward, sideward or backward, bottom line is their customer care people's ultimate goals is not to help me but to get more money from me which pushed me to tell the last person I've talked to cancel everything (booking).
He transferred me again to cancellation department where I've waited for almost 30 mins but no one get back on me until the line got off. I've called Korean Air to ask if there's anything we could do to resolve the issue but they said it was only through CHEAPOAIR, meaning they are the ones that could've resolved it but they just won’t. On their website it clearly says FREE CANCELLATION within 24 hours. I was cancelling the booking just minutes after the booking was made, but they wanted to charge me more ($250 per person) for cancelling.
So on 4/22/2017, I decided to book the same flight from Las Vegas to Manila through KOREANAIR.COM (3 x $977.78). My credit card company (CITIBANK COSTCO) advised me to dispute the amount charged ($2,978.82 via CHEAPOAIR) soon as the charges appears on my recent transactions and the credit card representative assured me that I should not be getting charged since I clearly stated to them that I wanted the booking cancelled and that mean I shouldn't be getting charged against my will. I still attempted to contact CHEAPOAIR to follow up through email and phone call, but again they wouldn't allow me to cancel. When I received a call from them on May 5, I told them again that I wanted everything cancelled but they insist that everything is already charged and there's nothing they can do.
CHEAPOAIR lacks proper customer service, aside from excruciating way their people speak (hardly understandable English/thick accent/rude/they put you on hold for a very long time and then leave you hanging without any resolution, even when I made a recent conference call (7/4/2017) with KOREAN AIR rep Jolyn and CHEAPOAIR rep Joseph, Ms Jolyn experienced how frustrating and how they address issues like these by leaving you on hold (with no response) which makes the communication ineffective. All CHEAPOAIR wanted was to push all the charges on me. So I was left with no choice but to cancel everything due to lack of the desire to help a single parent like me. Then they started calling/harassing me even at my job by calling me non-stop due to the dispute I made on the charges on my credit card.
At first my credit card company ruled on my favor and applied conditional credit of the total amount, but CHEAPOAIR just won't let that slide because they wanted the money so they appealed and now they continued to charge my credit card. All I tried to do is booked for that flight for me and my kids to go back home and visit my sister who recently lost her husband, we planned that this trip will be an opportunity for our family to bond and create good memories especially my children. But now I'm getting victimized, getting ripped-off, getting charged twice for the same 3 tickets. For the same flight... this is totally unfair and unjust on my part.

This is the worst company ever! I purchased tickets in July of last year to Colombia and on my way back, in Mexico City, they booked me with little time for connection. (I was told by Mexican customs that all airlines and agents know that you need at least 3 hours to go thru customs) And of course, I didn't make thru on time. So I was stranded in the airport each airline throwing me back and forth that they were not at fault. So one of the airline told me I had to wait 5 days for me to finally leave. I spent my birthday there stuck in the airport, until someone wired me money. I bought another ticket to get home. And of course, CheapOair didn't give even an apology and obviously didn't take care of their customer. No refund. No hotel. Nothing.
So a little while ago I decided to try them out again. I booked my tickets and behold, I put exactly what I needed (the right dates) and as it was being booked, they decide to change my whole reservation, in the air. So I called them immediately and after 30 minutes of waiting they finally canceled my trip, and of course charged me 60 bucks! Shadiest company ever!!! Of course I'm never going to use them again and I'm going to paste this same message on Facebook. Hopefully NO ONE uses them again!

I called to cancel the flight and things got ugly from this point with all your cancellation fees. $150.00 upfront to cancel, which is fine I read that part while booking but your booking fee of $179.00 to book a flight that I am not using and is not until March of 2018 is unacceptable and a total rip off when your rep gave me the wrong info. Total charges of about $340.00 app. dollars for your blunder is a total rip-off. Buyers beware of this scam. I am glad I checked it out rather than finding it out in March. I will never use your services again and more than likely not put in good reviews for your site.

Recently cancelled a booking with CheapOair as they changed my itinerary on international travel to a destination I did not desire or approve. They agreed to and approved a refund and advised it would take 30-60 business days to receive the funds back to my credit card. I have never heard of such nonsense. They billed my credit card immediately when the reservation was placed, the refund should have been sent in the same manner. SO they apparently like to use other's money until they get around to actually sending a refund. I will never use their service again.

But I still was looking to the price I could afford it. The person was suggesting all the time that the price was going up... He said he wanted to wait in line while I was booking. So when I was trying to book the system said the price change to $1,020... What a coincidence!!! The person on the phone was going to give me a better price $852???? Another coincidence??? Please be fair with the prices... DON'T POST SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!! Respect the customer!!!

They charged me $50 to correct plus $26. Still don't know what that's about. Then saw they are also charging me $50 for booking. I'm out $126.00. It would have been cheaper to go direct to United Airlines. Still having problems and no one seems to know how to fix it cause they just keep transferring me to other extensions. I had a flight scheduled with CheapOAir. Because of an injury on the part of the person I was going to visit I needed to cancel my flight. I called CheapO and explained the situation and after 20 minutes on hold was told they will not refund my money for a flight I will not be on. The person I talked to literally told me "use it or lose it". They absolutely did not care about the situation. They are going to keep my money for a service I can't use. I will never use them again and strongly recommend no one else does, either. Airlines need to begin treating their customers like human beings. Any other services would gladly refund the money for services not rendered.
Customer's ticket value was $36.00 he did not purchase trip insurance, but the airline change fee is 200.00 so the use it or loose it was explained to him because it change fee was more than the price of the ticket. Policies are put in place by the airlines, and as a travel agency, we must abide by them.

On 13 May 2017, I booked, via the CheapOair site, a domestic flight from Catania (Sicily) to Verona (northern Italy). I had booked the flight for 10 July 2017 but had inadvertently booked it for 11 July 2017 (Booking Number **). I had quickly noticed that the date was incorrect. So I clicked on “make changes online”; I was able to have the date changed to 10 July 2017.
After reviewing my AMEX statement, I had noticed the following entries made on 12 May 2017: 4 x US$70.80 totaling US$283.20 (= 4 x $98.98 totaling $395.92) Payment to Travelong, US$47.80 = $66.82 Payment to Cheapoair, US$300 = $419.43 Payment to Cheapoair. I inquired as to who is Travelong and found out they are an associated company of cheapoair. It appears that the total above, which comes to US$331 which equates to amount for the revised Booking Number ** on 10 July 2017; I therefore have disputed the amount of US$300 (=$419.43) charged by Cheapoair. The amount does not even reflect the amount I would have been charged on cancelled booking number **.
I wrote to Cheapoair on 17 June 2017 advising of the anomaly on my Amex statement; I received a response from Cheapoair later on same day advising that I had never been charged on the cancelled booking. I replied to their response on 18 June 2017 of the multiple charges made by Cheapoair and Travelong enclosing extracts of Amex statement. I received a response from Cheapoair on 19 June 2017 advising “.. your flight booking is successfully cancelled against the refund of 247 USD. Please contact your bank to verify the refund amount.” Finally, on 22 July 2017, I was advised by email, that the US$300 charge was a cancellation fee for incorrect booking.

Following up on the submitted issue. I eventually did receive call from Cheapoair acknowledging the glitch and they issued refund for the requested name corrected. Better late than never.

Original Review: June 23, 2017
I am a regular CheapOair customer and have booked many domestic and international flights using the website. Today 6/22/2017 when I bought international flight ticket, the booking form offered as a feature to pre-populate traveler information by checking traveler details based on my user profile information. I checked my name from available traveler list and website auto-populated my details from their records. I then added my wife and daughter' name. I reviewed that the name populated was accurate per passport as this is for international travel. My complete name is long so I always take additional precaution to ensure the spelling is right. I then continued to update the payment information and submitted the form.
To my surprise the ticket confirmation page + email only had my first, last name. Middle name had the first character only. My wife and daughter's complete names were right which I had typed explicitly on the form. I immediately called customer care to understand how this happened. I understand some airlines have character limitation and they trim the names on booking confirmations (e.g. Alaska), so wanted to check if that was the case here too.
I was bluntly told of the $50 correction fee (even though they claim free cancellation within 24 hours). I tried to explain the sequence of events and that customers should be penalized for website erratic misbehavior. The agent asked me to not use the feature next time and type my details instead. Which after this incident, I will certainly do for all websites/bookings and not trust the fancy convenience features (lesson learnt). As a matter of fact I even deleted my saved credit card information. I am shell shocked by agent responses.
I made a $2300 worth of transaction and $50 more is not an problem (CheapOair is still cheaper than other websites). But now I am wary of website behavior coupled with horrendous experience working with customer support agent in fixing the issue at hand. I am told the issue will be escalated internally (only verbal assurance and no case was raised for my reference) and that I will get a callback tomorrow 6/23/2017 10AM PST. I found a few recent matching reviews on this website with customers expressing similar grief and hence posting here for others benefit. I will post an update if I get call back from CheapOair.

Bought 15 airline tickets to Europe and was offered to buy the insurance, claiming any cancellation reason is valid, no questions asked! I asked numerous times if I can cancel the ticket for any reason if I purchase the insurance. I was re-assured that is the case. Well, now unfortunately we do have to cancel two tickets, and the rules are only medical reason within 180 days or death! Total false advertisement. The insurance agency you use is stating the opposite of what you are selling and is a nightmare to deal with. I doubt we will get our money back. So now we wasted $65 per person for the insurance and the 2 tickets! There are many reviews on CheapOair and the TravelMate insurance agency and all are negative regarding this! I haven't seen one claim where anyone got their money back from purchasing insurance. Total scam!

Joyce, sorry for the inconvenience. But we rely on the airlines to update the inventory in a timely manner, at times it does get delayed. You have the airline, and all other travel sites pulling from the same inventory, and it can be difficult for the airline to get it all updated. If you were to call us, the agent's will have the most current upto date fares, and availability..

We made an international flight booking and realized that we had the wrong names in the booking 2 days after. So we had to cancel and rebook. We got stiffed with a $250 cancellation charge per person from CheapOair and then another $200 cancellation from Air Canada. Not so cheap anymore. :( I managed to get them to reduce the cancellation charge to $100. However, if I'm REBOOKING with CheapOair under the right name...why charge me anything at all? If there was going to be a charge, it should be nominal! You are still getting my booking! Not to mention the fact that it takes up to 2 months to refund you the money but the charge is always same day! Bad bad experience and horrible customer service. I will NEVER book w/ them again and am taking legal action.
Jinnie, after 24 hours there are cancellation fees and penalties. You have upto 24 hours from the booking date to cancel with a minimal fee because we can void the transaction, after that all penalties and refund rules are applicable. It will probably be sooner than 2 months for the refund. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

This is the first time I book through this CheapOFare company and I will never book here ever again. On the top of fare page, it show cancellation 24 hours, in which at EXPEDIA mean a click away and you are done canceling with no fee as long as you cancel it within 24 hours. Whereas with CheapOAir not only we need to call in and they transfer around and saying there is a $75.00 cancellation fee. (There is no notice either that there will be a cancellation fee of $75.00)
After threatening them to report it to FCC and BAD review on ConsumerAffairs, then the customer service by the name of NICO agreed to give me full refund. BUT they need another customer service to do it and that is the third customer service. And now I have been on the phone almost 1 hours and I am still on hold. (Another customer service just answered. Her name is Alana and now going back to the same issue, $75.00 cancellation fees) Unbelievable, and now waiting for a supervisor!
I keep my word to write them a review, and I would give them 0 or minus review if only I could. Consumer beware, this is a very tricky company. I flew about 350,000 miles in a year and this is the WORST ever experience in booking a ticket. I just hoping FCC will shut them down soon. So they will not trick consumers again.
BTW, if you call and say you are making a booking, the phone will be answer within 50 second. And when you press to make cancellation, the phone will cut off by itself. So I call in as a making a new reservation and transferred from there. GOOD LUCK! But better avoid this company completely!!! Last Update. The manager pick up the phone at last. His name is London. He processed my request smoothly.

The company advertise online low-priced airfare tickets just to get your personal and financial information to later try to sell you other airfares much higher than simply going directly with the airline. Thus, please don’t waste your time trying to buy an airfare ticket that does not exist. I find this as a very dishonest way to get you in, because they make you go thru the whole process, and after unsuccessful purchase, somebody call you back trying to sell something different. You can see how they are doing this trick if you go 1, 2 or 3 weeks later to find out that they still have the advertisement for the same sold airfare at their advertised price and if you try to buy it again, it will happen the same thing. There should be some kind of legal actions for false advertisement just to gather your personal information.

I have made many purchases online however I was shocked with what happened to me today. On the CheapOAir website I entered dates for a trip that I wanted to book from Milwaukee to Newark, NJ. The dates were for July 6th to July 9th, 2017. I use Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia, Hotwire, Kayak and never have I seen the site change the dates on the results that are returned. Yes the dates that I entered CheapOAir gives you dates and does not make it obvious that they changed your dates. The information on the screen is small and this very big difference with them is not called out in any way other than the small print on their site. No one would ever expect this to occur.
Then the customer service people are rude and very stuck to a script. They do not know how to resolve basic issues. In order for me to change or cancel the reservation they charged me a $50 dollars fee to cancel. This was such a poor experience and I feel very sad for those consumers that do not know how to address this with this company. It is very deceptive. It was very disappointing to speak with two different representatives within their organization that was not willing or able to empathize with my situation to even be apologetic about it.

The CheapOair salesman high pressured me into buying the tickets, he spoke over me and told me the prices were going to keep going up. I asked him if I could cancel if I changed my mind and he said yes. After a few more minutes I asked again if I could change my mind and he said yes. Booked a flight with CheapOAir in February 2017 and in April, we encountered a problem and had to delay our trip one week. We were charged $450 penalty charge from CheapOAir and when we arrived at airport to leave for our trip last week, found out CheapOAir never paid this fee to Spirit and we had to then pay Spirit Airlines an additional fee of $373.80 just to get on our flight. We were told by Spirit that the penalty charge should have only been $100 from CheapOAir and that they used a card to try to pay Spirit that was declined with the name of a person we have never even heard of. Called CheapOAir, was promised a call back.
It's now been 24 hours and no call back. When we asked CheapOAir who was charging us this $450 penalty fee, they replied it's Spirit's policy and that the travel insurance we also paid $100 for when we originally booked our flight meant nothing unless you are changing your flight due to death or medical emergency. Spirit said they see this all the time with CheapOAir. They are charging customers fees with no explanation and not even doing their third party duty of paying the airline, but instead letting the customer have to pay additional money just to get on the flight. Whatever they did with my $450 is beyond me and the Spirit agent. This sickens me. Do not use CheapOAir. They are running a huge scam!!!
