I used this service once before and thought I would book again. When it came to my ticket price, the sales rep talked in circles. He gave me a price then told me, my price included a package of benefits at no additional cost. When my email confirmation arrived, it outlined the additional charges for the package. I immediately called back to cancel and was told there was a $100 cancellation fee even though I booked the flight 2 minutes earlier and was LIED to. After 55 minutes of escalating transfers, I was still left no satisfaction. I will not use nor recommend this company to anyone.

My husband booked flights for a guys' weekend thru CheapOair. Everyone else booked thru Delta and their flights have been canceled to DR because of Maria. But the flights he booked on this site have not been and even though he paid extra for the travel insurance they are not willing to reschedule his flights without penalty to him. I will never use this site again.

I booked the airline tickets from Colombo to Melbourne. Paid it. I got the confirmation of the tickets. Next thing I noticed is hotels were booked on random dates in Colombo which I never required. Charged me 3000 dollars. Tried to get the money back, failed. Hotel in Colombo (Hilton) said they never had dealing with CheapOair but it was booked with Expedia but CheapOair charged my credit card. Cheapoair not admitting they used a middlemen. How come they store my credit card to book the hotels. Still I have no separate hotel booking reservation as I never did a reservation. 500 dollars of tax been charged. I can't understand why Cheapoair returns the money. Their arguments is hotel is refusing it. But I never book the hotel and they can't prove it. So please be careful, don't use the website. They store the card details and carry on. I was told it's for customer convenience.

I'm actually still on hold now for almost 40 minutes as I write this review. I can't express how incredibly disappointed I am with this company. I will absolutely never ever book or refer business with them ever again. I booked a flight after choosing the departing and destination airport only to have the destination airport changed on me while booking the reservation. I noticed this about a minute after it happened and immediately went on the live chat where they were ZERO help. They then said I needed to call customer service and so I did and once again had ZERO help. I have waited 40 minutes and now been hung up on with them even having the nerve to ask for a survey at the end. Absolutely disgusted.

I booked flight thru CheapOair for my family of 5. After 15 minutes I checked prices on another app and there was $72 less so I called customer service and he said he will check. He did search and told me that there is less price but they don't have seats for 5 people so he can not match the price. I said on my screen it's showing that they have seats. But even they don't have for 5 but for one person so you should match the price but he refused and told me you can cancel reservations without any fees if not satisfied. I said, "Ok I will cancel it."
He transferred me to other line. She told me there is $75/person cancellation fee. I told her that, "You guys are not matching the price that's why I am cancelling." But she said no she can't do it without cancellation fee. She advised me to send email and screenshots of other app to match the price which I did but still they didn't do the price matching which is a shame. I will not recommend to anyone with this kind of bad business service, where they advertise 'Price Match Guaranteed'.

I had worst experience with CheapOair. I had flight booking from Toronto to Ahmadabad month ago. Due to some reason, I had to change my booking dates but in the end, I had to cancel my ticket and had to pay cancellation charge (I canceled my ticket within 5 hours of booking). Then I had talk with customer representative and I booked new ticket. And I had to cancel that as well because I was not told that I need Abu Dhabi visa if stay is longer than 8 hours. I paid cancellation charge again so in the end I had no flights booked and I was down with $125.
P.S. In this kind of situation customer need good suggestion from customer representative which I did not get. Furthermore, I was transfer from one representative to another. They lack in customer support also when I told them I will report this they said, "Ok no problem." Also I am not denying that they have cheapest fair options but the kind of customer service one can get in this kind of situation, I did not get that and I end up paying $125 without any ticket. Disappointed with customer service and the way last caller replied. Basically I was expecting more from such a well-known site.

I complained about penalty fees from the company. They charged a fee for a cancellation. $25. The cancellation was due to no fault of mine. It booked me on an alternative date which I could not use. I got a refund after I complained here and at the company website. I gave a negative review at Yelp as well.

I was evacuated from Hurricane Irma to Atlanta from Ft. Lauderdale. I was trying to book a flight home through Cheapoair. I saw a flight that wanted and booked it. I put in a specific date. When I got the itinerary the flight was on a different date which I could not use. I called Cheapoair within 5 minutes of discovering the wrong date. They said I had chosen alternate dates and would be penalized $50 to cancel the flight. They reduced that to $25. I called them to complain to no avail. It is not a very friendly user site. Just a warning.

I sent them my screenshot both on desktop as well as on my mobile app, that cheapoair.com display about "Free cancellation". These people LIED and told me that my return flight was canceled and that I had to buy a new ticket right then and there or I would not be able to go home... Furious and confused I bought a new ticket due to the fact that they said I would not be able to get on my return flight as it no longer existed. I go to check into my return flight. THE ORIGINAL TICKET WAS NEVER CANCELED. So CheapOair LIED to get me to BUY a new ticket AND kept the money from my original ticket purchased. When I called them, they said... THEY COULD NOT RETURN THE TICKET IT'S NON REFUNDABLE.
CheapOair charged me an additional $2,400 for the return flight... CRIMINALS. I asked for the manager. They said there was no manager!! After an hour of yelling on the phone they said they would call me back and they never did! So I called multiple times and no one would speak to me! I even have a document from the airline showing how CheapOair lied and my original ticket was never canceled!! We are in pursuit of you CheapOair and we are telling everyone... Due to Hurricane Irma our flight was cancelled. We did get the confirmation of cancellation through the travel advisories and then through email from CheapOair. I tried three times to get a refund but kept getting a run-around by being told to call different numbers. All of their customer service calls go through India which is okay except some of the agents are very difficult to understand because of regional accents.
Today I went through the same issues and got nowhere. I then made a return call to my credit card to finalize the disputes to the charges made by CheapOair. Their fee and the actual fee for Spirit Airlines are two separate charges. Since they are the booking agents they need to handle all return fees. They try to get the customer to call the airline which is to no avail since they never booked you in the first place. So I won't ever use their service (or lack of service) again. They are not responsible for the disaster but they responsible to their customers. Beware of this situation. I still have no refund. I also have the booking confirmation code.

I was very Happy when my friend recommend me this company. She used this company for flights and gave her good deals. But unfortunately I have a very bad experience with this company. I called to make a package reservation for Ft Lauderdale Florida from New York. I explained the sales representative I want something with good price and good location in Ft Lauderdale. The representative said it will be included flight, hotel plus breakfast. But the whole information he gave me was wrong. He said they gave me a good airline company and good hotel. They lie to the people.
First the airline company was Spirit a very bad company. They charge you for everything, plus as the time I get in Ft Lauderdale I have to pay for taxi to bring the hotel. Very expensive, additional they give a hotel very far from Ft Lauderdale. Close to the away. No stores even near. The place was 30 minutes far from the location. I was asked from the beginning, I have to paid everyday for transportation. So that means they did not provide transportation from the airport to hotel, no food places around, the breakfast at the hotel it was a coffee or chocolate with a little piece of muffin and they gave me a very far hotel far from everything.
The day I supposed to back for the hurricane issued this company Spirit charge me more money for my luggage and I lose my flight because of them. They didn't give hotel too. So please my advice to all customers is please find the right information and confirm everything they said. And please do not use this company. Very bad, lose your money and very bad service.

I booked through CheapOair a flight to St Maarten. However, St Maarten has been badly damaged by Hurricane Irma? First, the place we book was also badly damaged and do not know when it will open. Had no problem getting reimburse from them. So today, my wife called cheapoair to get reimburse for the airline tickets. Initially they said no refunds and then said call the airlines JetBlue. Jet Blue told my wife what cheapoair needs to do on their computer to get our monies reimburse. Now understand as I am writing this she is still on the phone for three hours trying to explain what Jet Blue said to do. She has been disconnected 5 times but on hold 6 times waiting for a manager and one time waited for a manger to call her back.
As of now nothing has been resolved. The staff at cheapoair has a hard time listening and/talking (basically, do not understand English). Unfortunately, this was an act of nature that I had no control over. By the way, the airport is closed. I would never use them again & will spread the word around? In fact, I will call all of the New York news channels to see if they can assist me. So now, the resort is closed & the airport is closed. Is this a no brainer. My question is how can they not know that? You need competent staff & managers!!!

I recently booked a ticket with CheapOair, I selected the date that I wanted, the price seemed reasonable therefore, I decided to purchase. Once I input my information and submit, I saw that the date was change to an alternate date. That's not the date that I chose, why suddenly the date changed? I called the customer service number immediately and told them what happen. The agent, who could barely speak any English informed me that there is no fee to change within 24 hrs, however, to get the date that I wanted I would have to pay an extra $140 dollars.
Why wasn't that option available when I searched for the ticket, at least I could have opt or declined to purchase and at least it would be the date that I wanted. I told the agent that I didn't want to pay an extra $140 dollar and wish to cancel, he then told me that I would have to pay a $75 dollars cancellation fee. I didn't make a mistake when searching for the ticket, automatically an alternate date popped up, I didn't ask for an alternate day. I would NEVER make the mistake of purchasing from this company again, they are scamming people. I have to pay $75 dollars for something that was completely out of my control. This company should be reported to the BBB.

I booked my plane fare at CheapOair thinking I would be saving money. After the booking, $50.00 extra was charged to my credit card that was not explained to me. I booked this ticket May 22. 2017. Travel date was for Sept. 28, 2017. Wanted to make sure there is no penalty should I cancel so I was told to pay extra $19.95 Travel Protection which I did. Now, I could not go September 28 and called CheapOair today, September 13, 2017. I was told that there is a $50.00 cancellation fee! Not only that, I was not told that the Airline, Jet Blue also had a $150.00 cancellation fee! Again it was not disclosed. That is a shock to me!
Furthermore, my only option is call the Insurance company and submit a claim. CheapOair did not also tell me that the plane tickets were NON REFUNDABLE. Part of the reason I cannot go is because I cannot afford to go on this trip. This is a valid hardship. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK with CheapOair. Their way of business is dishonest. I cannot afford to lose $50.00 to CheapOair and $150.00 penalty fee to Jet Blue. My total ticket cost is $420.30. That $200.00 is an amount that could help me pay my bills.

An hour or so later, I pulled up her itinerary - the first screen that came up asked if I wanted to change the date to Sept. 4. I said NO. When the itinerary came up, it was changed to the 4th - which was absolutely useless for us! We called and went around and around for hours with them on the phone, and got NO satisfaction at all. They insisted on charging us $50 to cancel the flight that THEY had screwed up. Perfectly Insane story: Just a couple of weeks ago we ordered through CheapOair the flights for our upcoming trip to the U.S - the trip includes three flights - From and back to Israel, and one flight inside the U.S. all British Airways flights. After making the reservations we noticed unfortunately that a mistake has been made and the flight that was intended to be from L.A to N.Y was ordered from Seattle to N.Y - probably our mistake. We innocently assumed that for a fair cost, we can easily change the destination but then realized that CheapOair charge over $200 Per ticket just to make changes in the flight itinerary. Adding to that the sum we already paid for the inner flight that we won't be taking + the new flight from L.A to N.Y it would cost over $1000 for 2 trips from L.A to N.Y (!!!!).
We then thought to avoid making the costly changes, to cancel our inner flight and just buy a new flight from L.A to N.Y which would cost around $240 in sum but then learned about the shocking policy of CheapOair and British Airways who's terms include the "No Show" clause (or should I say a twisted version of it): we cannot just not show up to one of our flights since that would result in cancellation of our next flight, back home to Israel, of course no refund will apply. The "best" part is that CheapOair will not let us cancel our flight unless we pay them over $700. JUST FOR THE CANCELLATION. This means that in any way we look at it our unfortunate mistake will cost us over $700!!!
The point in the "no show" policy that some airlines include in their terms of use deals with instances in which the Travel Agent fails to cancel a booking that is not required by the customer which leads to inventory spoilage. This is by no means the case - we are giving a full month notice that we cannot make it to the flight, giving it as a present to CheapOair, who can easily resell it and make profit. In the meantime CheapOair are abusing the policy and its original intentions, in order to make even more money at their customers' expense (maybe the name Expensiveoair suits them better), in the meantime causing unnecessary travel discomfort their clients, amongst which is a pregnant woman. This is Unheard of, Unthought of and I recommend to stay away from CheapOair.

I called CheapOair and cancelled and naturally asked for reimbursement. It's more than a year now, and yet no money! The second time, I typed my wife's name by mistake instead of my own name as passenger. They did not and could not change back my name, when I asked for change within hours after purchasing, therefore, I lost my whole money.
The third time, in hurricane Harvey, my flight from Houston to Chicago cancelled, and I asked for reimbursement. Again, they put me for hold for minutes to talk to manager and then suddenly they disconnected my call without notice. Hence I asked from my credit company to put stop on their bill, and for the first time I could get my money back!!! Forget CheapOair, and believe me, I will never buy from them again.

Therefore, based on the above facts, why does cheapOair continue to refer to JOSEPH (at **) as MERCEDITA, which is bit insulting... wouldn't you agree?! Please fix your automation!
Joseph, our apologies for the email that was sent,. The airline sent an automated email to you because of a schedule change, it automatically took the first person in the booking which is Mercedita so the email was addressed to her. But the other 9 emails that cheapoair sent, including this survey, were all addressed to you Joseph. Sorry for any inconvenience.

As soon as my card details were entered, ticket dates were changed automatically. When I called call center to change my tickets to dates I had selected, they mentioned a higher amount. Then I asked for cancellation of tickets and they charged me $200 for cancellation even after my explanation that I selected correct dates. I didn't click on flexi dates option. This is nothing but a scam to cheat customers.

We were never sure if we should go to the Alaska terminal or American so we went to Alaska Air terminal. We sat there until our scheduled boarding time and wondered why no one was there. As it turned out we were supposed to be at terminal 4. We got there too late for our flight and had to take a later flight that evening. That all turned out to be okay, because we don't get that easily upset. Also, since I'm a little hard of hearing, I have difficulty understanding a foreign accent like the ones from India.

This time they changed my schedules at least twice without much as a sigh of disappointment on my part. But I noticed that one of the scheduled changed has affected the time for checked in to my connecting flight abroad. I was only allowed less than 2 hrs. So I called and to request the time of my departure to an earlier flight so I could meet the 4 hrs checked in time required by the airlines.
I called on 8/30/17 about 9:37 and I spoke to a lady named "Lahti". She was eager to help me and found me two earlier scheduled flight. One will cost me $245, the other $185. I then asked her, when you guys changed my schedule, I did not charge you for the changed but now that I am requesting you to change my schedule because of your own fault, you will charge me a fee? She said sorry (their SOP) but that's all she could help me with after she spoke to her supervisor. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and felt cheated. I bought 3 tickets for this flight. This maybe the last time that I will buy my tickets with CheapOair. Thank you.

All our money has been going to tuition - All 4 of us are going to Orlando, Website said "Guarantee Lowest Price." Next morning I check CheapOair - $100.00 cheaper & I call. Denham didn't agree with me at first. Argued a bit said only guarantee within 24hrs - I said I book late yesterday. "Oh ok. Well with taxes only $60.00" but then he said what I didn't know - is baggage is $100.00 each way & I can't pick my seats so I need to upgrade & he can help me with that for $105.00 for all 4 of us & he charged my credit card $106.00 & I still didn't get my $60.00, he applied that towards it.
But the next day when I called because the Trip had been booked twice on my debit card & was told not to worry it should be credit back within a week - which I am worried because it's my checking debit acct! I also noticed a $50.00 POST BOOKING FEE; I wasn't told I was going to be charged for - Or I wouldn't have even have let him weasel me into the upgrade. When I called back about the $50.00 charge & I got a very rude Tamara who said, "The upgrade doesn't help YOU with my baggage"- well isn't that NICE!!
So I looked into the insurance about cancelling this WHOLE THING. Well I have to be Dead or been taken hostage - so that was a complete waste of $85.00 + tax. I had long time ago bought from Expedia & they do stand by their Guarantee & it wasn't a 24hr it was 4 months later -- WHAT WAS I THINKING!!! At that time, the agent assured me all is sorted and I asked for another confirmation email and he sent me.
Tomorrow I am traveling and something told me to call them and check as still there is no charge on my ticket. I just found out that my ticket is not confirmed because they did not charge my card and they did not have the courtesy to call me and inform me anything. I have been on the phone with customer service and all they are doing is taking me around to different people but not resolving my issue. They are not taking any responsibility for their action, nor do they have any solutions for my inconvenience. They can only offer me a higher cost ticket or reduce my vacation and lose money on my confirmed accommodation. This has been a horrible experience.
CheapOair should invest time to train their staff to articulate any red flags with any confirmation ticket, also they should upgrade their system where they should send emails to clients if there is any issue with a ticket instead of sending feedback survey and they should not waste customer's time by taking them around all departments and then eventually hung up. Lastly they should not be greedy to charge a credit card for their benefits and not process the rest of the ticket. I will ensure all my friends and family never use their service. So my discount was missed and I didn't get to use it and I was little unhappy. It was up to $25 off of your fees and when I call back the guy said well you can use it next time. Rita, thank you for being a long standing customer, we appreciate your business. After looking over the information the agent did not charge you a service fee. You had additional $14.95 for insurance and the rest is taxes and the cost of the ticket. If you had been charged a service fee it would be separate charge $25.00 with a minus 25.00 under it. Called in, talked to several representatives and they made it seem as though they were doing me a favor to rebook the room. Granted our anniversary is not until October. Then got an email the next day saying our seats were canceled, on my way to work. With those two issues I had had enough, ruined the surprise with my wife and had her call to verify cancellation policy. She was told we had until 3:30 that day to still be within the 24 hours.
Once I had time I called well before 3:30. At first the airline was no problem. Was told and emailed that we would receive 100% refund, I'll come back to that. Next the agent said she could not cancel the room or car had to be transferred at this point at least 10 hours on the phone or hold. Once I got to the hotel and car representative he said we couldn't cancel. Had a one night penalty from the hotel?? I called the hotel directly. They said they received the cancellation, no problem. They have a 7 day cancellation policy.
Called Cheapoair back. Spent another two hours on the phone. Was told the hotel was holding our money. When I explained I had spoken to the hotel and they gave 100% refund nothing but stonewall from there. Was sent an email that stated it would take 24 hours and be credited back they would call. Never heard back. Tried calling, emailing to no avail. They are still holding almost $1800 on a reservation that I was assured had 24 hour cancellation. Save your time!!! Even if the airfare is a bit cheaper stay away!! I'm in the Service industry. If I treated people like that I would be out of business.
This case has been resolved, hotel agreed to waive off the 1 night cancellation penalty of 341.00 and customer is being refunded all in full.

CheapOair changed my returning flight without telling me, they then blamed me for scheduling the wrong date and said the returning flight had always been the day listed. 2 months later, after having bought a second return flight, scheduling called me and told me it was their mistake and my return flight was changed without my approval.
As any person would do, I asked for a refund. But only a refund for my returning flight, I still wanted to keep my correct departure flight. This was not done, and I got to the airport to only discover my departure flight had also been canceled. Customer service was rude, confusing, and misleading. I can not express enough how frustrated this company has made me. The prices are too good to be true and they will take advantage of you as a customer.

When you first enter your search you are asked how many people will be traveling. Is it fair to assume that your search will show the fare for 2 people OR at the very least, specifically say the fare that is showing is for only 1 person! You do not find out that the fare was for 1 person until you check out and if you're not careful, it is too late by that time.

Company inflated the cost of the airline ticket by $39.95 which presented in a second transaction. When calling customer service $25 of that is for the use of the website and another $14.95 for travel assist. It was explained to me that this is explained in the confirmation email. I noticed that the airline breakdown expenses did not match the itemized receipt by the airline. Those additional charges were buried into the airline expenses in the CheapOair itemized receipt. I would NEVER support or recommend a company that inflates another product for the sole purpose of making money. Very dissatisfied customer.

By god's grace I came to know ticket has been cancelled two prior to my journey. So I called them up and asked for alternative solution and I had to travel. But they didn't help me here and they said only option is refund and it takes 30 business days. After a long fight I asked for a confirmation mail but I haven't received any such mails until now. They are pathetic people. I would recommend not to book via CheapOair. Rather I would advice you to book directly on the airline website. Spending $100 or $200 extra is more worth than booking with this third parties... I would recommend CheapOair to change the name to CheatOAir...

Looking at the time spend traveling, it look like the email that I had lost, so, I proceeded to make the reservations. When I called because it look longer time, the agent told me that once I got to England, I would have to go to another airport. The distance would be from 1 hour to 2 in taxi. I was very upset. I'm 71 years old and having some health issues that will make that extremely difficult for me. Even though I have called immediately, the agent told me I would be penalized if I wanted to change and it will be additional for the other flight. I was quite upset about the issue.
Next day, I called again and talk to Kirk, he was more sympathetic to my issue. Finally, we switch airports, and although the time of traveling will be the same, I will not have to leave the airport. Today, I found the email were I had the same flights for $250.00 less. I have travel with your company before, but I think I will not do it again. This incident has really sour me. I wanted to change it FOR ANY OTHER DATE. ANY. ANY AT ALL. I did not have ANY requirement, I said get me ANY date you want, anytime from now, on the cheapest combination they may have available, this year or next year, with any amount of flight connections. No requirement at all. They wanted 750 dollars (even though I could find on their website HUNDREDS of options for 820 dollars TOTAL for a NEW ticket. This is the first time I used CheapOair and it will definitely be the last! Those who want to use their service please think twice! CheapOair are charging you high service fees on top of the fare and trying to make money wherever they can. Their best price guarantee is a joke and they have the worst customer service ever! The following is my experience with them. I booked two tickets from Beijing to Los Angeles for my parents on August 2, 2017, the price they quoted was $908 each. Since the best price guarantee window popped up when I booked the tickets, I didn't think too much for I thought I could price match even if I bought the tickets at a higher price. So I checked the price on other websites like Kayak, Priceline, etc. as well as Air China website immediately after that and was very upset to find the price was $874, I.e. $34 less each.
Therefore, I called the customer service and wanted to cancel my reservation, that was within 10 hours after my reservation. The representative told me I had to pay $75 for each ticket to cancel because it's their policy. Can you believe it? Within 10 hours, you have to pay $75 for each ticket!!! When I mentioned the best price guarantee, she gave me their email address. However, I checked my online banking and found Air China only charged me $878 per ticket, which was only $4 difference each ticket, so I didn't bother. Two days later I received a Balance Due Collected email from CheapOair.
I immediately called the billing number and complained about the money charged. They clearly told me that the $60 is for their service, that they are a travel agency and have to collect the service fee. Why don't they state it clearly in their email? Instead they said it's a portion of my fare! It is neither taxes, shipping fees nor insurance fees! I have used Kayak and other websites and it never happened to me! The price other websites quote includes taxes and everything. Also, it also means the price they quoted was not the best price. However, they told me the 24-hour price match limit had passed so they could not do price match for me! It's only because they collect their service fee after the best price match expires! Who knows they can keep your credit and billing information 24 hours after you booked the tickets and use it to charge you extra?
I called and was transferred to different lines (they outsourced the service to Indian people who have strong accent and don't know much!) and the reasons they gave me include that I have already agreed to the price they quoted, they are entitled to extra service fees and I did not read their terms and conditions before I booked the tickets. I agreed to the best price which they guaranteed, but not the quote, or extra service fee they collected! The truth is they may have most probably added extra to the original fare (since the price quoted by other websites is much lower) or used the fluctuating nature of ticket prices to make dishonest money! I have read their reviews and other customers also lost a lot of money for this reason! They charged a person $200 for their service on top of the fare! They are not giving us the lowest price!
FYI, they are also trying to make money elsewhere. I was selecting seats for my parents, and no matter which seats I selected, CheapOair charged me some $30. So I gave up and selected seats with Air China, guess what? the seats are free! However, when I mentioned it, CheapOair said they don't charge for the seating. If the airline doesn't charge, where does the money go to? Besides, the last lady who talked to me as if I were an idiot. She asked why I didn't read their terms and conditions carefully? Do you always read the terms and conditions before you book an airline tickets? I wonder. Please be careful before you choose CheapOair. Hope what I write is helpful!
Yifang, very sorry for the experience you had while booking on our website. All the information you described is listed in our terms and conditions and as you mentioned, you don't read them. The bpg is for the cost in airfare and as mentioned $4.00 difference, you cannot include our service fee that we charge for processing your reservation, ticketing it, and keep track of it until day of departure for any airline changes. The fee is for the cost of doing business, and it's not uncommon for travel sites, or airlines to charge for their services. My apologies for any inconvenience.

After determining that I would still not be able to travel and cancelling the trip well within the 24-hour window, CheapOair charged me another $100 cancellation fee, and the airline charged me over $150 each for two tickets. When I called CheapOair to question these charges, I was directed to a fees and policies tab at the bottom of the page, and the last in a long list of fine print, for these cancellation policies. When I asked why at the top of the page in bold print they promised "free cancellations within 24 hours," I was repeatedly told to go to that tab. This is flagrantly misleading advertising. So I have to call them to try and fix it, (literally within minutes after I get the confirmation) and that's where they start killing you with extra fees after fees, and extra charges for "re-booking" to the point that it gets RIDICULOUS. After all the extra charges (FOR THEIR MISTAKE, "GAME"), my total charge (for 6 tickets) went up buy $535... Booked with CheapOair a family vacation in May 2017. While in Montana I received a call from Fire Marshal that a home I had recently purchased had been struck by lightning and a fire had destroyed over 50% of the structure. This was on Sunday and I could not find out all I needed by phone, so I decided to fly back home that day and leave the family to finish the vacation.
I called CheapOair and made a new reservation to fly back that Sunday and cancel my flight on the upcoming Wed. with the family returning. CheapOair said there would be a $356.00 change fee charged by Delta Air. I felt that was high but I really needed to get home. Drove to airport within three hours of booking and was in airport when my insurance agent called and said I was completely covered and even with the fire damage I did not need to come home before the end of the vacation. I immediately told Delta, they understood and said I needed to call CheapOair and change back to the original flight. I did just that and was told Delta was going to charge me another $200.00 for change. I thought this is outrageous, but if Delta charged this I had to pay.
When I flew home I talked the Delta rep during a lay over in St. Paul, I was informed that Delta did not charge any change fee on either change. Also the original flight with my family had never been canceled or changed. Delta would not have charge any fee either due to the fire emergency. I have since arriving home verified with Delta no change fees or charges were made by Delta but CheapOair is still demanding payment from my credit card company. Sending fraudulent claims that they had paid Delta these fees.
I also submitted a claim with the travel insurance company recommended by CheapOair, but the claim was denied. The flight insurance company "Trip Mate" is a subsidiary of CheapOair. I have spent countless hours on the phone with CheapOair trying to resolve this dispute. Needless to say I will not use CheapOair again and would recommend that you do not either. I'm not going to drop this, I am going to the FAA and see if anything CheapOair did was unlawful.

I had the worst experience with CheapOair. I'm not the one to write reviews but I have been so fed up with these people. On February of 2017 I had purchased a 2 way ticket to Europe for two departing from JFK on July 15th 2017. Unfortunately for me, due to heavy traffic that day, I arrived at the Airport 45 minutes prior to the departure time and I was informed that the check in and the gate had already been closed and I could not get on that plane. I called CheapOair to see if they could help me board another plane that day. I was informed since I missed the flight they have to consider me a NO SHOW therefore the entire trip for two including the return had to be voided (In other words I lost the money for the two airplane tickets in the amount of $1855.88). They could only offer me "Airline credit".
The agent I spoke with (I regret not taking his name down) suggested since the airline I was originally supposed to fly with, did not fly to Europe that day again, I could purchase a one way ticket to my destination with another airline and use the"Airline Credit" to purchase the return ticket. I did as the agent suggested. I bought one way tickets for two and also paid for selective seats which I NEVER SAT ON since they had been sold to someone else.
A week prior to coming back I called CheapOair to book the return flight by using the "Airline Credit". I was informed that I could not possibly use the "Airline Credit" to book a one way flight for two. I was devastated that they played me this way. I thought CheapOair was a serious agency and reliable. It didn't take long to realize they are a bunch of liars who like to rip people off their hard earned money. Upate: I sent an email via the Best Price Guarantee instructions with all of the required information (screenshot of cheaper itinerary etc.). The email went unanswered for more than 24 hours. I even sent an email to their customer service email to follow up. This also went unanswered until I called their main customer service line to explain the situation (again) to a customer service rep. At this point, I just wanted a price adjustment as ALL of the available packages for my flight had gone up across the board, but, as before, this rep also spent a decent amount of time talking over me and offering to cancel the booking with no cancellation fees instead of just refunding the difference. It wasn't until I read CheapOair's BPG policy, word for word that he went to ask his supervisor. The supervisor never got on the phone and ultimately, I was refunded. Initially, he tried to tell me that I was going to get a lesser amount back than what the difference was, but at the end of the call changed it to the proper amount after I cancelled something that was 'automatically applied'.
Ultimately, The issue was resolved and that was my goal. It was a headache to deal with and I believe that more respectful Customer Service reps would make a huge difference, but it's not my company. The refund was not for $100, but the difference that was refunded was the correct amount. The refund comes in 2-3 installments, so I'm keeping an eye out for the last two. I've changed their rating to two stars since they did end up refunding the difference, but it was pulling teeth. They also made it a point to answer all of my emails and send me satisfaction surveys after the issue was taken care of (and I think they saw this review). Customer service is in great need of improvement, and I doubt that I will continue to purchase from them if avoidable. If this is how they act towards their own customers/policies, then I'm good. I am grateful that the issue was resolved and that they took the time to respond.

I booked my trip abroad via CheapOair and moments after I booked, I found the SAME ITINERARY available for over $100 less. I called to cancel my itinerary and book the cheaper option, only to be repeatedly hung up on, forwarded or placed on a permanent hold by an automated system. When I finally got a real person, I was told that I would be charged a $75 cancellation fee even though I booked my flight 15 minutes before. The reasoning was that the 'airline had already sent the ticket', which is rubbish because I booked the ticket 15 bloody minutes ago! The money hasn't even been taken from the card yet, how have the tickets been sent?
So I went on to explain this to 'Mark' who proceeded to raise his voice and speak to me like I didn't have the ability to add 2 and 2 together. I asked if there was a way to do a sort of price match or anything and he just kept saying "no" and that it's guaranteed that I've gotten the best price and if the price has changed, then I wouldn't be able to see it unless I went through all of the steps to rebook the same package. You would've thought I was a complete imbecile with the way this man was speaking to me. Completely unhelpful and inappropriate. Usually, I book through CheapOair, but after the customer service phone call, I doubt I'll give them business again.
Alice has been refunded the difference she had requested, $100.00. We consider this matter closed.

In the other hand, the policies of CheapOair need to be review since charging $50.00 dollars to the customer just for correcting his name, are not helping the company to have long time customers and bad publicity for CheapOair as well.
Pedro, our apologies for the inconvenience. Once tickets are issued name changes/corrections are often not allowed due to FAA rules. We have to request waivers from the individual airlines, once approved your ticket has to be reissued. it's very time consuming and airlines are now asking for a penalty for their time, on top of ours. Everyone should check out their travel documents prior to making a reservation for accuracy on how their names are entered to avoid problems like this.

When I called and tried to change I was told I could not even though I have a physical problem that will make the layover very painful. The customer representative was polite and helpful, so far she's the only representative that I talked to that was nice and informative. The rest was rude and lazy. Problem was they increased the price when I ordered her to booked a flight from Cebu-Dallas. I saw it online the price was 1,070.43. But then she sounded out that based on her computer, it was $1235.43. I Was like seriously they will really take advantage of you once you badly need that flight. I should have booked it myself online, but the thing is I need to cancel one of my brother's flight since I need to put him with the same flight with my sister.
She said they will charge me $200 for cancellation fee, which fine with me. When I determined the statement from my credit card, American Airlines took only $1035. 43 and they took the $200. This is really frustrating when you saw it online the real price was only $1070.43. They deceive me. I have been a loyal customer since 2013 but I think that doesn't matter, what matters is that they can get more money in their clients. One thing for sure, I will never use CheapOair again.

Just booked a flight a week ago with CheapOair. Today I looked up my confirmation with them to put together my schedule, and noticed my name was wrong. I logged in with Facebook who has my correct spelling, and my daughter's name was correct. They tagged it and said I wouldn't fly if my name wasn't exactly matching my ID. There was a number to call to change it, and they rudely asked me why I waited so long to say something.
"When I booked it I didn't notice," I said. Why would I misspell my own name. They then proceeded to charge me to change it. $50! I wondered if anyone else had a problem and found on reviews that it happens a lot. CheapOair is not cheaper after they pull this on you! I had another flight where I purchased insurance and then canceled for blizzard conditions in MN. They would only cancel and refund after the fact, if the airline canceled the flight. So the risk is canceled and bank it or risk losing all of my money, family of four, very expensive. Well I canceled, and when I went to use the credit, I had to use the same airline, the same distance. Sun Country Airlines only flies certain days, so to rebook is difficult. Also they charge $250 per person to change it. What a rip off!!! I will NEVER use CheapOair again! I would never ever trust a company that is so underhanded.
Laura, the website inputs exactly what is entered into the system, mistakes can happen that is why it is so important to look over anything you purchase and check for accuracy. You have 24 hours from the date you purchased to call and report any problems, you could of canceled and rebooked with the corrected name without incident. As for the other problem with airline cancellations, that is upto the airline to refund your ticket at that time if you chose to keep the credit, that credit is only good on that airline, those are airline industry rules, not ours. If you still require help with changing your ticket, we will be glad to submit to the airline, and request a name change waiver.

They promised 2 luggage for my travel which was Rome to Turkey and Turkey to Iran being the final destination. I went to Rome Airport to find out that Pegasus only allows 1 luggage for 20KG and they ended up charging me $13 EUROS per extra KGs which totaled $435.02 Canadian $ for my extra Luggage.
This is absolutely ridiculous that the rep at Cheapoair did not provide the correct information and guaranteed me the best price as I booked last minute and chose to have an extra stop in Turkey instead of going straight to Iran. I always booked with CheapOair in the past. But this time, the experience with the customer care and the booking done left me with horrible experience. We requested the customer care to prepone the booking from Detroit to Hyderabad (Detroit to Dallas (AA Flight), Dallas to Abu Dhabi (Etihad) and Abu Dhabi to Hyderabad (Jet Airways).
The customer care guy (Brian) took like 10 mins every time I asked to provide me for a better price for the dates I mentioned. The call took 45 mins to modify the reservation. Once the booking is confirmed, they never updated the reservation on the CheapOair website. I called the customer care again asking for the confirmation number. Guess what, the customer care gave me 2 confirmation numbers as the guy Brian booked American Airlines flight separately and Etihad separately which I was not told during the booking.
Once I go to AA ticket counter, they could not retrieve the booking for Etihad flight and gave us the boarding passes till Dallas, where we are told to collect baggage and check in the international flight again with the layover time of 2.30 hours. They indicated that the ticket agent did not book the whole itinerary on a single ticket but made 2 separate bookings. It was a hell to collect the bags from Dallas Airport and locate the Etihad ticket counter and follow the same international check-in procedure. I am never going to recommend CheapOair in the future to any one for such a bad customer service.

The dates I needed would cost me $1100 more so I requested a refund. CS stated they could refund the money with a $50 charge per traveler which would cost me $300. This is 20 minutes after I just ordered the tickets!
I explained I purchased trip cancellation insurance. They stated that can only be used for a dire medical emergency with documentation. Which means you're paying for no protection unless you are deathly ill and want to go through the process of proving it. So beware of using CheapOair because it is anything but cheap and would not recommend. Will stick with the airlines and maybe pay more but use a reputable airline company.

I experienced a bad CheapOair's customer service after I booked a flight. I booked the flight for my wife on May 10 per Cheapoair.com (after a Visa Office told her that her visa to USA would be delivered to her in three to five business days) and the flight (from PEK to PDX) was scheduled for June 6. And then after the business days, my wife didn't receive her visa, and the office didn't tell her when she would receive her visa either, so I began to contact CheapOair's agents to ask about rescheduling or canceling her flight at end of May.
English is my second language, it very difficult to understand the agents who spoke with strong accent, so I always tried to ask them to email me the information. And one of the agents emailed me on June 3 to say "...When you use the credit, there will be an airline penalty of CNY1000/USD 147.00 per person, plus any applicable fare difference. Please don't forget that you need to do this before the date of departure." By following this email I had to cancel the flight on June 5 that charged me extra $50 but didn't refund or credit a cent for this book.
Later on June 9, my wife finally received her visa, so I rescheduled her flight (to June 14) through a CheapOair's agent. Later I found some problems about the reschedule charge from the agent's email. So I began to email feedback@cheapoair.com to ask the question about the charge for rescheduling the flight. And then one response from feedback@cheapoair.com to explain the charge as below: Airline Penalty: 147.00 USD. Fare difference: 123.70 USD. Agency service fee: 106.00 USD.
For this explanation, I only understand the first charge and accept it. For the second charge, I have the two fares price on hands: the original one was $432.96 (for June 6), and the next fare was 451.66 (for June 14), so the fare difference is wrong. For the Item 3, I am not clear where it was from. In the agent's email on 6/3, she didn't mentioned about it.
I asked the question about the charges by emailing feedback@cheapoair.com. Since June 10, there are at least 20 emails between me and cheapoair.com, but I got no answer to the questions I am concerned. Sometimes the responses from CheapOair seemed to come from robots, because they didn't answer your questions with exact answers but some formatted ones. I am very disappointed to cheapoair.com with two things: I got unfair treatment from this company about the charges of rescheduling flight including the “Cancellation fee”. This company's customer service doesn't answer my questions about the Fare difference, Agency service fee, and the cancellation fee.
Ning Fu, the prices difference is due to the timing of when you first canceled and the current pricing was available for the add collect. Because it was not done that exact day, you now have to go by the current fare at that time. Fares do change constantly as the seats get booked. We would be happy to go back over your options, and assist with rebooking.

Jash, you used a bank debit card therefore your bank automatically puts a "pre authorization" on your card when you booked. It put's the money aside and also verifies if the card is valid. Once the tickets got issued that's when the actual charge goes through. It will appear like you've been charged twice, but in fact you haven't. As discussed with you, and you bank, the authorization will drop off within a few days. Unfortunately this happens alot with debit cards, it's sometimes better to use a creditcard to prevent the additional hold on the card. But this is resolved, and we show no extra charge, and your bank will release the funds in a few days. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

I called them again and this time there was a lady from billing said the ticket is not cancelled and if I want to cancel, I will lose 775$ out of total amount which is insane. I told her several times to waive the amount as the mistake is in their side but she refused it. And that too to get the remaining amount I need to wait for 60 days. Awful. I will never recommend to anyone... stay away.

In the past I have been very satisfied with finding best-priced flights with CheapOair. This time, my friend gave me incorrect information, so I booked a Friday flight and later that night, found I would have to change it to a Saturday flight. "No problem", I thought, "the policy says no charge for changes made within 24 hours." In fact, I was charged $40 for changing from one day to the next on the same flight. I was also double billed, so $737.70 was debited from my account for a $365 flight. I was told that two of the charges will be taken off, but it could be 2 weeks. None of this was explained or made clear at the time of the change of flights. Clarity and honesty are always the best policy!! And yet, thanks for generally providing good service.

Good and immediate assistance in order to change my fly dates. A little expensive the fees for changing dates as the change was made after 2 hours from booking. The Telephone assistance was good and efficiency. Good site with logical prices. I will recommend it.

This was a flight I had previously canceled due to medical reasons. I called and talked to customer service. My 1st attempt was not successful due to difficulty understanding each other. My 2nd attempt was MOST successful. Robert ** at CheapOair was super helpful. He assisted me with my flight schedule and resolved all issues and answered all my questions. Should I ever have another concern or problem, I can only hope to have someone as effective and professional as Robert.

On the April 2017 I bought a ticket from Denver to Israel for $697.93. It was the first time for me to use this company. The website picked my last name twice, as a last name and as a middle name. I do not have middle name. I had conversation by email to Michelle ** about to make correction. After three week received email that it is not possible. The CheapOair give me offer to buy a new ticket with pay different amount plus pay $25 fee for corrected mistake that company did. It wasn't my mistake.
So I canceled the ticket with no refund money to my bank account and the CheapOair charge $50.00 for cancellation fee. The CheapOair gave me a credit. But I have to use it for the same airline company and the same distance by the April 12th 2018. I am not going in the next year to the Israel. I have a plane to go to Europe or travel inside US. The credit must be flexible distance with the same air company. Absolutely inconvenience company! I am not recommend to use the CheapOair. Also, the one flight connection was canceled.
Svetlana, our apologies for the inconvenience. As a travel agency we must follow the rules of the ticket that are mandated by the airlines, not CheapOair.com. You are given 24 hours to review the confirmation and advise us of any errors, unfortunately this was not done and your ticket is non refundable, as well as a restricted ticket. We will be glad to assist you with making new reservations when the time comes.

I purchased a ticket online to visit my family in Costa Rica, the names in my Costa Rican passport do not have my married name and it causes confusion when traveling. I have found the way to make it work but this time I totally forgot! So I called right away (within 30 minutes) to add my second middle name... no way no how unless I paid them for it. The 24 hr window to make changes was no longer available. I received this response from the Customer Service Team: "We would like to inform you that as per FAA guidelines, once the ticket is issued, name correction/change is not permitted. It totally depends upon the airline if they allow the correction.
For the correction you will have to pay the amount which has been advised to you by our team. If you agree to make the payment then kindly let us know so that we can assist you better." Interesting enough the change was allowed if I paid the fee... regardless or the FAA or what the airline thought about it. CheapOair has the worst customer service and "Beware" of their hidden fees...
Patricia, our apologies for the inconvenience you are experiencing with the name error. Our agents were only following policies related to making changes to an existing reservation. You were offered 2 choices, in which neither one you had agreed to. Once tickets are issued name changes are often very difficult to get corrected and is all upto the airlines. Because your ticket was still within 24 hours, we did offer to cancel the booking with a $50.00 fee, which was later reduced to $30.00, or keep the booking and we would try for name correction with COPA but they also have a $50.00 fee which is not our rule. Both options were not acceptable. Therefore, we would be happy too still contact copa on your behalf, to get the name corrected. Reach out to our sales office if you decide to correct it.

I'm pregnant women. I bought ticket from NYC to DAL. After purchasing ticket, I confirm with my doctor and she said better not to travel because of Zika Virus. I then call customer service and ask to cancel my ticket, these sucker said I will charged 50 dollar for cancellation. If any of you guys search ticket on this site you will see 24 hr cancellation. What does this mean?? Why the hell you sucker didn't mention there that we will charge 50 dollar for every cancellation no matter what time you purchase. I had Virgin American airline, I called them, they said " CheapOair should refund all" but these people who are sitting on customer service hang up my phone. I ask them, I will talk with their manager, and they hang up. What the hell is wrong with these people. I will never ever visit this site again. I will ask anyone of my known people not to purchase ticket from here.

I called in to book a flight with CheapOair, and the agent that picked up the phone was able to find the flight I was looking for. However, my flight originated from LAX and was going to MDE with a connection in Miami. This was what I was told by the agent at the time of booking the flight. Everything looked good so I went ahead with the booking. A day before the flight, I called CheapOair to figure out the baggage policy since I was making an international trip, and it was at that moment the agent disclosed to me that I was going to have to change airports to catch my connecting flight. I was never told this at the time of booking.
She said that my first flight was going to FLL and then my connection flight was leaving from Miami International. I was puzzled as to how she expected me to get to that airport seeing that I am not from Miami. So I let her know that that arrangement cannot work and then she transferred me to a different department that takes care of these types of situations.
Long story short, I spent over 3 hours on the phone with different agents and managers, got hung up on several times and got blamed for not knowing that there was an airport change (even when I wasn't told by the agent), and ultimately, nothing got done about the issue. My flights were never changed to make it more convenient either on the departure leg or the return.
This was my first time booking anything on CheapOair, and it was most certainly my last! Even worse than making the mistake on the booking, the way their customer service department treated me was utterly disgusting, and I would not like any paying customer to be treated in such a manner. If there was a Zero star rating, that is what they deserve!

The online booking was fast, easy and straightforward, with no hidden costs. Many flights were listed from which to choose. When I had to change my flight time the next day it was handled by phone courteously and efficiently. Great service. I will recommend to friends.

It started out fine, although your phone people are very, very difficult to understand. After my bookings were complete, I saw a red button on my confirmation form, to book a hotel and put it on my confirmation. I pushed the button, and was offered a variety of hotels, and several attractive prices. I selected the hotel, and booked it. Today, I called back to get a confirmation of the hotel, and your folks knew nothing about it, and could find any records. Now, online with CheapOair, they want to book a room for me... But I don't want to be billed for the other hotel. Certainly causes me not to trust your confirmation process.

Finding great prices then booking the flight was easy and relaxing. Ohhh but then I had to correct the departure and arrival time and the lady on the phone was fantastic, very patient, professional and with no problem. She corrected the problem and then advised me to check my email. TKS so much and I'll be back!!!

Put on hold by customer service for more than 1 hour and then recording told me this number is no longer in service!!! Nobody was able to help me edit some simple account details. The person on live chat gave me the runaround and at the end simply said to email CheapOair.
