Rebooking someone from CheapOair adviser. They fixed it. They fixed the total amount and they are adding the airport assistance for my father because he is old but he can walk. They are changed the final trip from Cebu, Philipines to Charlotte, NC.

I have cancelled on Dec 31st of 2017 this round trip flight I have purchased with CheapOair due to physical issues. I have scheduled this trip beginning on Jan 8th of 2018. Today is the 8th and I have called the airline company to make sure my ticket was really cancelled but they have not been notified. The airline can't cancel the ticket because the notification has to come from CheapOair directly.
When I cancelled on Dec 31st, I received an email saying the round trip was indeed cancelled. I called this company again yesterday to confirm but the CheapOair agency's representative said he can't help me because I should talk directly to the same representative I talked before on Dec 31st whom is located in Ukrania and I have to wait 24 hours... What?!! I begged this representative to confirm the cancellation, and finally he did, but he can't send me anything in writing... Update: 27 hours has passed... and nothing. Why CheapOair didn't notify the airlines about the cancellation 8 days ago? Today, a few hours before the departure, the airlines can't cancel my ticket and they probably would have empty seats... This is very irresponsible and unprofessional!! Does the agency keep their commission if the ticket is not cancelled with the airline?

This is a horrible travel agency. For $478 ticket, they charged me USD 100+119 and USD 100+119 in penalties and fees for changing the flight. The actual difference in ticket cost was only $34. When I asked for the detailed invoice they asked me to ask find at other place. Also, I clearly told them that I do not want to be their customer and want to clear break-off. Apparently, it's not possible. The manager said that I need to directly talk to airlines company to be able to break a contract with them. They will not provide terms & conditions, which says customers have no right of cancelling transactions with. Then invoices doesn't actually show what they are actually charging for. HotAir charges less than $40 in change of flight whereas, this agency is charge $219 in penalties and fees. The CustomerCare people were highly non-cooperative, shady, and non-transparent.
Updated on 01/17/2018: The CheapOAir agent has called after writing a review here about my experience. He has apologized for the multiple phone calls and hours of waiting that I had endured. Also, apologized for not being clear with the penalties and charges. He has removed $100 from the $200 CheapOAir agency fee.
This has been resolved with the customer.

I will never use CheapOair again. Even their name predicts problems: Their systems do not interface properly with the airlines. They make gross mistakes. They leave you hanging on the phone, for literally hours, with no contact with an agent. However, their agents are well trained and emphatic, which makes a terrible experience a bit better. The details follow, but they only substantiate these facts.
Both airlines have my Known Traveler number and our frequent flier numbers. CheapOair had me enter them again. I paid the $15 extra fee to select seats, which both airlines would have let me do for free on their Web sites. The first airline had no seats in the fare class CheapOair booked. Given I had to select seats, I selected the only coach seats available, which CheapOair charged an upgrade for, but the airline would have allowed me to book for free as a frequent flyer.
To add insult to injury, CheapOair charged me for the seats (incorrectly) twice: $135. At check-in, the first airline had neither my Known Traveler number nor our frequently flyer numbers. Also, the airline knew I was incorrectly charged for the seats. The check-in kiosk displayed, Apply for a refund. I asked the agent. She said, "Yes, you have been overcharged." As directed, I applied for the refund online using the airlines site. Naturally, the airline says, a ticket made through a travel agent can only be refunded by the booking agent. CheapOair says the airline got the money; the airline must provide the refund. I think CheapOair is right, but that doesn't get me the refund and leaves me in the middle with both parties saying go to the other.
Except for the missing Known Traveler number, missing frequent flyer numbers, and being overcharged for the seats, the outbound leg worked well. The return was a different story. I checked in the night before the flight. My check-in worked fine; my wifes reservation was missing. I called the airline; my wife's reservation was canceled. I called CheapOair; it was canceled but rebooked; they gave me the airline confirmation number and a ticket number. It was midnight; I waited to check-in my wife the next morning. Naturally, I couldn't check her in. It took a while with the airline to figure out why. Sure enough, my wife had a ticket, but it was an open ticket with no reservation!
My wife called CheapOair. It took a half hour to connect to an agent and then another half hour for CheapOair to figure out that the flight I had already checked in for was now full. The agent said he need to call the airline. My wife waited on the phone 2 hours without as much as a word from the agent. (A cynic would think this was a call center trick to get you to hang up) When the agent came on the line, he said he needed to call the airline. We have no idea what he did the previous 2 hours.
Two more hours (5 plus hours from the beginning of the call)... I know these kinds of reviews are filled with hyperbole, this is fact... the agent said, "All I can do is book you (my wife) on another airline, 6 hours after the original flight." I asked the agent if we went to the airport and the original airline would sell us a ticket would CheapOair pay for the ticket, regardless of the price. He said, yes. I asked him if he would hold the new airline flight reservation until we went to the airport and tried to get the original flight. He said, "How long"; I said a half hour; he said he wasn't supposed to, but he would. We went to the airport.
In less than 15 minutes, an agent for the original airline, hearing (part of) our story, gave us a seat on the desired flight, and put us in adjoining seats. The CheapOair agent did call in a half hour; we told him the airline reinstated the original ticket. Bottom line: a miserable experience, caused by inferior systems; little, if any, formal communications protocol with airlines (nothing equivalent to what an actual travel agent employs), subpar operating practices; customers left to resolve CheapOair's mistakes because they can't.

I booked flight BA through CheapOair. But even when BA offering two check in bags for my type of class and destination CheapOair is giving only one check in bag in allowance. This was not mentioned while booking. Whenever we asked CheapOair they asked to contact British Airways but British Airways completely saying it's CheapOair issue. They are saving money and heating customers. I am very much disappointed with CheapOair service.

Just less than an hour ago, I booked a flight from Japan to China for $X dollars and as soon as I realized the flight originated from another airport one hour away and required one stop, I quickly tried to cancel as the website says free cancellation. I had to call their toll free number which was really designed to put canceling customers in a press '9' to continue voicemail hell! Finally had to press another new sales number to get connected to an agent who then tells me there will be a $50 charge for cancellation! Um, not going to argue with this shady company. Stay away. I am calling my Visa to dispute these charges. Bad company. Stay clear.

I used CheapOair a number of times. Previous times were good but the last one time was a very disgusting experience so I'm sharing so others can beware of their scams. I made a hotel booking for a room with 2 queen size beds for 3 nights, for 2 adults + 1 baby. On the website the price was $120/night. At checkout, it showed: $120x3 + $60 tax + $60 Extra Guest = $480.
I didn't select Extra Guest (at least not knowingly) so was surprised by that. I then checked around the page to see if it was an option to turn off but couldn't find any. We were also in a hurry so I decided to go ahead thinking it was the way the hotel works. When we arrived at the hotel, I asked the manager why they charged Extra Guest and they said it was charged by CheapOair, not by them. The hotel doesn't charge that because the room allows for up to 4 people and we only have 2 + 1.
After the trip, I immediately contacted CheapOair to ask. First, Live Chat refused any question about hotel booking and pointed me to an email and phone number to contact. I emailed. A few days later still no response. So I contacted Live Chat again. This time I was given a different email and a phone number (maybe same number I can't remember). This time I decided to call instead.
The person on the phone was rude and asked me for proof, which is fair. But when looking at the booking confirmation email, it doesn't show that Extra Guest item separately. It was all lumped inside "Taxes & Fees" for $120. I was speechless and tried to explain to him that it was showing separately on the website. The staff kept demanding me for proof and said in angry voice that I should only contact if I had proof. It almost sounded like he went through this before and know how the system works and know customer can never provide proof because their system never shows it in the confirmation email. I said it was not fair because it showed differently on the website than from the email but he didn't listen and hung up while I was still trying to explain.
If a staff sincerely wants to help their customer, they would listen and find ways to help. But it's clear that he was not interested. And again, it sounded it too much like he knew there was no way I could provide proof. This was a very disappointing experience as like I said, they were good before. But now I don't know if I can trust them anymore. After this I was in loss of $60 which is big but not too big. But if you are reading this, hopefully you can learn a thing or two from my experience and stay away from booking a hotel with them. At least I will.

My elderly father’s international ticket has changed less than week before travel date. When I asked to have better timing between flights, they said you can have refund on ticket at last minute, if he don’t like the timings. Put me on hold for 90 minutes and finally I have to hung up, since no one came online. He has to wait 18 hours between 2 flights instead of 2 hours. I wouldn’t book my tickets through CheapOair ever. Worst customer service ever.
Ekta, we understand that changes in the airline schedules can cause an inconvenience, but as a travel agency, we have no control over the airlines operations. Air India, and United airlines had an interruption in one of the flights many travelers were affected by it, not just Cheapoair customer's, but the airline traveler's themselves. There was no other option to make that connection because you cannot change airlines, therefore you either had to accept the layover, or take the refund they were offering. We worked with your father and the airline to make this the least inconvenience for him, but the decision was to leave the flight as is, Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Today 05 Jan 2018 I have made a booking to go to Adana, Turkey return. Total cost invoiced £184.92. Payment box I have chosen to pay by debit card. (They wanted £3.60 to make a payment by credit card) I have paid £184.92 by using debit card. Checked my bank account immediately and see they took out £13 more for agency fees. Lol. I've tried to call them many times for complaints and once they know who you are they don't answer the phones. New way of scamming people money. I'll never use them ever again. Looking to an authority to make a formal complaints.

I wish I had read these reviews first. I booked a ticket for an overnight trip for a college visit. When I received my email confirmation I saw that the dates were incorrect by one day. I did not book these dates. I called within 10 minutes to correct. Waited 27 minutes on the phone, however before hanging up, I found an online chat. My ticket to rebook will be double the original. Their website indicated 24 hour cancellations. In the end, I had to pay to cancel the trip. I will dispute it with my credit card. While I was on the online chat someone answered the phone finally, she quoted me even more to reschedule or change???

My family has been using CheapOair for the last 2 years and it has been fine until my most recent trip. The company voided my ticket the day after it was bought but didn't notify us with any email or phone call. I only found out that my ticket was voided when I tried to check-in online to my flight the night before and was told that there was an issue. When calling CheapOair, every call agent had different stories to what happened and some even tried insisting that my ticket was valid even though I had confirmed with WestJet that my ticket was gone. They made up this story that I had called to cancel my ticket, which I never did!!! (I had absolutely no reason to cancel my ticket). Then they resorted to saying that it was my mother who called to cancel the tickets, not me - they were essentially making lies up on the spot.
CheapOAir said that they only received payment for my return trip so they put me on a flight two days later for an additional $191. In total, the supervisor promised that I would only be paying around $315 for my return flight + the $191 = around $500 for both tickets. However, after checking with the bank, we found out that CheapOAir charged $950 for everything!!! They ended up charging $444 for my outbound ticket that they canceled! Till now, every time I call CheapOAir, they are still denying their wrongdoings and are refusing to refund the $444. Every call session is over 2.5 hours with no result.
This is extremely frustrating and I'm completely disappointed with this company. If there is no acceptable resolution soon, I promise I will never use this company ever again. I have been a trustworthy, loyal customer for the last 2 years, but this issue has forced me to rethink who I buy airline tickets now in the future. I STRONGLY believe that this company & website should be shut down due to their unacceptable and unethical behaviors. Please think twice before buying a ticket from CheapOair!!!

I booked Virgin Atlantic Business class tickets with them (for the second time) for my 75 yr old mother and 7 yr old daughter and was told that they would get the car service and that once they booked the tickets, Virgin Atlantic would call me in 24 hours. Never happened. Also while booking she (Stacey) tells me that if they fly the next day they can save a $1000 on the tickets. So I agree. When they charges my cc she charges the normal price. When I question her she claims that it is for another airline. I felt totally hoodwinked. I call CheapOair to follow up on the car service and the agents tells me I need to call the airline directly. Call the airline and these tickets don't get car service. So the agent complete lied about it. Stay away from this company!! There is a reason they're called CheapOair. So, I scheduled a flight to go home during holiday leave. Knowing that my flights may have to change at a moment's notice due to my job, I paid the travel insurance so that I could change my flight without issue. So, when I did indeed have to change my flight, I called to reschedule and they explain to me there's a $50 reschedule fee. So, apparently insurance is just a scam?? Not only that, when I rescheduled my flight, the guy I dealt with cancelled the wrong flight! Thankfully I double checked beforehand.
So when I called to re-reschedule my flight, they act like they can't understand what I am saying and explain I will have to buy yet another flight! And that I won't be able to receive a refund due to the flight being within 24 hours. On top of that, I have to go through 3 representatives before one finally gives me their supervisor's number! All are rude, and I wait on hold for the supervisor for 1 hour and 15 minutes before the call just ends itself! So, I am basically out of almost 1 grand due to their negligence?? Absolute bs! Stay from away from these thieves!! They understand English perfectly until you request your money back!

CheapOair has no consideration, we booked a flight from San Francisco to JFK New York Airport, when we noticed there is an error in the name of one of the passenger, I immediately called the customer service with less than 2 hours just to correct the name of the passenger. When they corrected it they told me I have to pay additional $200 plus from my previous booking, according to them, it was a new person. I understand there is a system and policy, but I also knew that there is some adjustment that management can do to correct the name of the passenger, I am not changing the passenger, or the date or the route, we just forgot one name in his first name, he's the same person. Can they not give some consideration, the reason why we chose this flight is because of the price, and it's a lot to us.
But we have no choice, because they have to be there Jan 10 or 11, so they charged us additional $67.00 for the next possible flight but with one stop and different airport. This is my last time to use CheapOair... Be kind to people who are trying to pay less in airfares... with this simple errors, you're charging almost double and cancelling the flight, I really don't understand.

On booking a return multi-flight I received an error message that my card had been declined. I tried again as I knew there was sufficient funds, and again received an error message "card declined". I contact the bank and they say that US$2,306 has been taken. I worry of course - as the website says card declined and the bank says money taken, so I put a hold on my card. I contact the airline directly and they say the flights have been booked? I contact CheapOair eventually with a number provided by the airline (none of the numbers on the website worked for me - calling internationally). Customer service was great! Toby ** from Credit Card Declines particularly; knowledgeable, patient but strong and understanding of the fraud climate, my concerns.
Toby explained that the website reports the error because on multi flights particularly the banks assume it is fraud, making so many consecutive transactions, so when they report that error, we as the card owner contact the banks and the tickets get processed. So I told him, rather than saying card declined it should read, "Ticket confirmation pending. Awaiting bank's approval. Please contact provider, to authorize payment." Had it of said that... I wouldn't have panicked... and put a hold on the card... preventing the remainder of the ticket to be processed. Once I released the funds, I was assured I would get a confirmation email, which didn't arrive, until I contacted CheapOair again and they then sent the email.
We chose CheapOair because they had the best layover times for our liking, on the right day, for the right price. I put a hold on the card just in case. But I have not had any additional amounts attempted to be taken. So it would seem, after all we got what we were shopping for? BUT they need international numbers on the website, a better error message (the card wasn't declined?!), and better/immediate emails regarding the flights. But behind the scenes it would seem, (...contrary to what you might think reading the reviews, that I subsequently read - causing me even more fear), the airlines know CheapOair, they have genuine tickets and they only take that which you approve $ wise. So if all is well that ends well, I guess I am satisfied with the experience. Good flights, good customer service, system lets the team down.

Two and one half months later, we are still waiting for the refund. I called customer service and was put on hold for one hour, then I was sent to another department and put on hold for another hour. I am appalled CheapOair can be in business. They should be shut down. First, we made a reservation for a flight and THEY changed the dates and times! We noticed immediately and called them. They charged us $100 to change to the times we booked originally. THEN, the day before I’m set to travel they sent an email confirmation with my name spelled wrong. THEY CHANGED THE SPELLING, not me. To correct the spelling, they demanded $50 and were extremely pushy. When I said I wasn’t paying it, the agent said, “okay. Well let me call the airline back and see if they can lower that price for you.” (Which is weird in and of itself). I said, “no. Thank you, I did not make this mistake and I’m not interested in paying anything.”
He proceeded to bully me and tell me I couldn’t fly if my name did not match. And he said, “so what are you going to do? If you don’t change the spelling, you cannot fly.” (What business is it of his what I decide to do??!) I eventually got off the phone with the agent. I checked with the airline and we had made the correct reservation in the first place. My name was spelled perfectly fine. Had I known what I know now, we would have made a WAY bigger deal about our first encounter with them changing our dates completely. (They also changed the dates of my brother and his family of 4 – we booked at the exact same time. He ended up paying them to change 4 tickets also). How can CheapOair still be in business??? This booking was done online so the name that was booked on the ticket is what was entered into the system. Name changes once tickets are issued, and past 24 hours require a waiver from the airline, and there is a fee to us for requesting this, and reissuing the ticket. Fee's are based on the airline! the added charges the customer mentions is for our service fee $10.60, and the $58.95 was for the insurance all added by the customer during the booking process. I just had a pretty disgusting experience with CheapOAir and I must share. Below is the email I sent to their website which will double as a review. I am never so vulgar in sending emails to companies but I am not rich and I had to book a flight in just a few days for Jan 3 and 379$ for a one way for a 1 hour flight is already ridiculous, so when you lie and scheme me for the little money I have - I'm not into it. Please excuse my language below, I am very upset:
"I am absolutely appalled and disgusted with your company. Today I booked a flight from Halifax, NS - Hamilton, ON with what was CLEARLY the listed price of 379.** - through the booking process I made sure to check the price for taxes and fees - and in the end it was 379.** listed after taxes still - so I put my credit card information in and booked the flight. As soon as the flight was booked the total changes to 425.**. This is ILLEGAL, first of all - but then upon calling your "customer service" (if you can really consider it that at all) to fix the pricing, I was told "this is not possible" with no solutions offered. I then asked to cancel the flight and was told it would be a $50 cancellation fee.
Naturally, I asked for this fee to be waived because of how FAKE your company clearly is with your pricing... which I KNOW can be done as I work in a call centre and it's literally the flick of a mouse and the entering of a few digits in a program and boom, a $50 credit is applied. It is not rocket science and no one can tell me it is not doable. I was told again "this is not possible" followed with no solution offered. I'd imagine this email will go to someone who doesn't care, but I must tell you - your company is disgusting. I am so shocked by the treatment today and I am ashamed to have booked through your website like a ** idiot.
I would normally never swear as I am a professional person, but considering your company is so unprofessional and unhelpful - I'm sure you wont mind either way and that it wont affect your conscience whether I'm upset or not. I know I'm not the first and I'm definitely not the last. Very, very shameful. Merry Christmas to you too and I hope you enjoy the extra 50$ on the ticket that you scammed me for, then had a call centre in India tell me "it's an airline fee". I bet it is. Must be nice to own a company that steals."
I have added screenshots of what the website shows you. You have to add in your payment information, You then book it and the price raises immensely. I do not have a screenshot of the original process, I only clicked into a different flight to get the ones below - but pretty disgusted and shocked that a total can say 379.** when you book with absolutely NO INDICATION that it will turn into $425.**. Is this not illegal?? Am I the crazy one??

CheapOAir is actually ScamOAir - Avoid this company at all costs. They will offer you insurance and trip protection and then tell you there is over 1500 in penalties for using the insurance you purchased.
Insurance does not cover change of plans, but is for medical emergencies, delayed bags, and flights. When you need to cancel a reservation and not medical related, you have to consider the airline refund rules, in which this booking had 5 people, and the refund fee was $250.00 per person, and was the airline service fee, and not CheapOair.

I booked a flight from San Francisco to Calgary on American Airline on December 17/2017. At the Airport I was told the flight check-in clerk that the flight was overbooked and I may get stranded. Fearing the worst I ask for a seat confirmation. I was not given one. I did not get a seat on the plane so I let. I purchase a different ticket from another airline to continue my business trip. On Christmas eve I phone CheapOair to relate my experience and to get a credit toward a future flight. To my surprise I was told there was no note left on the American Airline flight and my flight said suspended because I was a no show. I said that not true, but CheapOair said there is nothing they can do. I said thank you and I hang up. I will never use CheapOair again. My mother recently passed away. I was stressed about making two reservations, one for my son and one for me, with the same outgoing flight. After calling their cancellation department 10 times, finally my call was responded. But they said I will be charged $75 consultation fee which was totally wrong as I was within the 24 hr time frame. It is clearly written in their website that full refund for cancellation within 24 hour. After arguing for half an hour they offer me to charge less consultation fee and I ask what will be the amount. They ask me how much I can pay. I was like WTF. Finally I agreed to get robbed for $15. - CheapOair.ca - after 12 am at the end of the booking day - You will not get anything (not even a customer service). (Now will you get lucky to speak to an agent before 12 am at night... is a BIG question - hint: probably not.)
- You will lose 250$ no matter what.
MY STORY: I made the booking at 10 pm on 22nd Dec at night for a flight from US to Canada on Jan 6. The next morning 8am I had an unfortunate news about a family member and could not travel. I called CheapOair at 9 am on 23rd Dec and THEY WOULD NOT GIVE A CREDIT OR CANCEL MY BOOKING. The argument is that when booking is made on CheapOair.ca - does not matter if you want to cancel the booking within 5 hr or within 10 hr or within 24 or within 48 hrs of the initial booking. THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU ANY REIMBURSEMENT WHATSOEVER. If you were to do a booking from CheapOair.com - they will cancel the ticket if called within 24/48 hours of the booking. On top of this nonsense, they blame it on Air Canada (when it's not even their fault).
CHEAPOAIR - DO NOT HAVE A COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT - which means they do not care to listen or fix a complaint. They will only forward the call to a supervisor, who will only repeat what the technician on the initial call said. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. You will get 309$ credit for the passenger who is travelling, but this is the CATCH: - Penalty of 50$ for cancelling with CheapOair. - Penalty of 200$ when you use the 309$ credit for rebooking another flight with Air Canada. All in all you only get 59$ that too if you were to book something with them again.
AIR CANADA - HAVE A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, will tell you truth and will be compassionate. They will actually try to do their best, but as you would know, YOUR MONEY GOES TO WHO YOU PAY - NOT TO THE FLIGHT. If I would have booked with Air Canada directly, I would have paid few bucks extra (20-30$), but I would get all of 350$ back.
We do apologies for the inconvenience Bijal experienced. The customer does have a credit to be used for future travel, and the airline penalty is assessed by Air Canada not CheapOair. So any fare difference and the penalty would be the same changed with us, or the airline. At this time we consider this matter closed, until customer provides documents for the other traveler to received a credit.

I called their customer service and all as paper states and they agreed to email all details and as I got back to check in at Delta it had been wiped completely out as a no show when we were there 1 hr 20 mins before boarding. All they did was take our money and didn't do nothing but cause a headache. Asked to speak with a supervisor and they wouldn't put them on because they didn't want to fix or refund what was taking. Will not use again and will move forward to make sure this doesn't happen to others.

I reluctantly went to CheapOair to arrange a Christmas trip to Phoenix. The website appeared to have some slightly better prices than competitor websites. This I later found was very deceptive. Our carrier was American Airlines and they were forced to cancel the first leg of our trip, ALB to PHL due to what they stated, was weather. I'm not entirely onboard with this excuse, especially since AA announced in November, that they had made a large mistake in arranging flight crews for Holiday travel. They solemnly pronounced that no passengers would be stranded due to the error. It's too much of a consequence that the first minimal winter weather moving into New England resulted in a weather delay. The major news sites made no announcements about weather related flight delays/cancellations.
We received notification via email and text message from AA directly as to the cancellation and were able to quickly reschedule the trip, although a day later than we planned. Today it's been nearly 24 hours later and CheapOair has YET to notify us of the cancellation. On our previous itinerary we would have been at the airport by now, only to learn that our flight was cancelled.
I called CheapOair to inquire about some compensation for the trip (a refund of the preferred seat charges, that I had to pay when we selected our alternate flight) and the CSR could barely speak English. They in-turn contacted AA to discuss our issue and the AA agent couldn't understand CheapO's CSR. They came on the line thinking we wanted to cancel our entire trip. We were disconnected and I was too furious to once again attempt to explain what I expected. I don't care for having to ask a CSR to 'speak up' or speak slower in order to understand them. I work in Radio and have excellent hearing and when I can't understand a non-english speaker, they CAN'T be understood by anyone.
Anyway in discussion with AA, we learned that it was incumbent on CheapOair to notify us of the cancellation and take the lead in getting us rescheduled. That did NOT happen. So reviewing the ticketing billing break-down it's abominable the extra charges tacked-on to the price charged. $200 for using their preferred seating folks, NOT the actual seat charges, but just paying their fee for the privilege of paying the airline for preferred seats.
The airline industry is out of control with these buried expenses. Fortunately I no longer travel on business but I have a hard time wrapping my head around 1) purchasing a ticket, then... 2) paying another charge for a seat AND then 3) paying another fee for my luggage. What am I paying for in the 'master ticket'? It's not like one can be a 'strap-hanger' on a commercial flight. Consumers are being subjected to blatant price gouging by hiding those additional fees in other categories. It makes NO SENSE to us. Just include the doggone seat fee and the luggage fee in the advertised price of the tickets.
CheapOair is exactly what the name says. A lousy and incompetent service that would have stranded us at the airport during the Christmas weekend. Never again CheapOair and never again American Airlines. I'm not buying their weather forced cancellation, conveniently stranding customers so they can avoid owning-up to their mistake with scheduling.

This company charges $176 as fees when you make booking with them regardless if you have an issue with the airline and you requested a ticket refund. In addition, they are big liars... And here is my story why: I booked a ticket overseas by phone and gave the agent another booking (booked earlier with them) and said give me a ticket exactly the same except the return date to be different (as I needed to tag to friends of mine traveling on certain flights). He ended up giving me a one way ticket and charged same as two way ticket and when I complained about it and requested they view the tape recording. I was promised by the agent that they will refund me the difference in a week time...
After 2 weeks called again and asked me to wait another 5 days... Finally they put to some manager who said we can't credit you anything. I disputed the payment with credit card company and here where I find they already booked their fees and according to the credit company this money undisputable. I recently decided to buy a bargain ticket to surprise my children for Christmas, after my long 3 month stint in the hospital in very cold Baltimore, I was eager to get home to Jamaica, I searched for my destination, put in my dates, and up pops the cheapest ticket you can imagine, like manna from heaven. Unfortunately after your experience with this company you might be tempted not to believe in heaven, maybe it is just a fantasy place like the fantasy ticket that I booked! You see after putting in my credit card details and booking my seat (oh what a great feeling that was) up pops up on my page, you are confirmed for December 25th!! I didn't book a ticket for December 25th! Why does my ticket say December 25th? Obviously I panicked, immediately tried to cancel my booking, but oh no you can’t cancel, just change your flight and pay the difference! A $600 difference I might add! Now I was furious!
I demanded they cancel it, after all I just did it 8 minutes before!! The "customer service" agent (although the use of the term customer service should not be allowed by this firm) let me know that he would refund me for a 15 dollar charge and to add insult to injury, he informed me that it may take 7-14 days for my money to be returned to my card! I guess I'll just send my children a lump of coal for Christmas instead of their mother! (To my agent's credit though he did try to get the refund date to be 3-5 days, but let's face it. 5 days is 4 days before Christmas and it's already hard to find a flight.) This site is a scam, they will take your money, earn interest from it before they return it to you, and force you to pay them for visiting it!
Buyer beware. Their website auto changes your date to the cheapest ticket no matter when it is, and you may only find out when it's too late! Then they will tell you they screenshot you while you were completing the transaction (clearly because this has happened several times before). Only thing it is in such small print you just won't notice! This one hurts! But I guess that's what I get for logging on to a place called CheapOair!
We have resolved this by offering the refund of our cancellation fee, and customer was not willing to provide any further discussion regarding this and disconnected our call. Alternate dates where booked for a cheaper fare, and we only offered to refund, or book the correct date for her, but dec 22 fare was way expensive than Dec 25, therefore declined our offer for further assistance,.

So fast forward to December 14 2017, 2 days before our flight, I receive an email from CheapOair that I should choose my seats as the flight is 2 days away. So I contacted CheapOair just to confirm what the agent told me on Nov 26 2017 at the time of booking. And to my horror the agent I spoke to on Dec 14 2017, tells me that the seats has NOT been assigned and I should do that now but there are no more general seating availability only premium seats to choose from.

In a nutshell: they intentionally mess with your flight dates. I went through their website to book a round-trip flight from BWI to Tel Aviv (Ben Gurion). I made my flight dates November 18, 2017 and the return on November 28, 2017. After getting to the very end of the process, I noticed that my departure date was November 14. I immediately called their "customer service" department. The terrible operator insisted that I pay a $50.00 rebooking fee to "change" the date (mind you THEY CHANGED THE DATE, not mwah). I refused to pay the fee, and rescheduled everything on my end to the new (November 14) date. I got to the Baltimore area. Used my Dad's computer and printer to print out the Email from them so I could give that to the airline counter. You know the drill. The Tel Aviv to BWI return flight had then changed from November 28 to December 1, 2017!
Already knowing what customer support would try to pull ($50 fee for their change), I once again realigned my schedule to fit the NEW date. Had a nice time in Israel. Except. I showed up at Tel Aviv (Ben Gurion) airport, to fly with Air Canada on my CheapOair flight. The problem? CheapOair never actually changed my return flight from November 28th to what their email said - December 1. According to Air Canada, I should have flown on the 28th. And they refused to honor the print out of CheapOair which clearly showed December 1 as the correct date. This left me stuck in Israel. I had to buy NEW tickets (through Expedia. ps: they did great). 856 dollars. And get two more cab trips (120 each). Thanks to CheapOair, I'm out nearly $1500. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to book a flight through these ripoff jerks. NEVER AGAIN, CHEAPO.

WARNING: Beware of this company. Check, double check, confirm and have proof of the itinerary that you’re before hitting that confirmation/submit button. You may be very surprise to find the dates and/or destination you requested different to accommodate the low travel price. A few days ago, I spent several hours online surfing for a reasonable flight rate from Toronto to attend my nephew's wedding in Miami on Dec 30th. After checking several different travel companies and different airlines, I discovered that the rate of $445 + tax offered by Cheapoair was the most reasonable.
I decided to confirm an itinerary with Cheapoair. I bought tickets for my wife and myself travelling from Toronto on Dec30th returning Jan 2nd. Having spent all night surfing, I went to bed very relieved after hitting the submit button. I woke up to a nightmare with Cheapoair. While checking my travel documents the next day I found that I was connecting in Miami to Pensacola Florida on Dec 30th, with the same connecting flight on my return. I immediately called Cheapoair customer service to rectify the mistake. I was connected to a very rude customer service rep who insisted it was my mistake and there was nothing he could do to help. He informed me that my money was with the airline and they were the only ones that could assist me.
I called the airline Westjet only to be told there was nothing they could do, since I booked with a travel agency. After several subsequent calls to Cheapoair, I was transfer to a cancellation rep, [who was equally as rude] she informed me that my only resolve was to cancel my present booking at cost of $100 and re-book to Miami for a cost of $1100.00 each ticket. I informed her that doesn’t make any sense, I already have seats to Miami. I only need to cancel the 2nd leg of my flight. She informed me that it doesn’t work that way.
Not going to my nephew’s wedding is not an option. This kid has been very near and dear to my heart since his birth. My only option is to travel to Pensacola, rent a car, take the 10 hour drive back to Miami and do it again on my return. I’m a disable man, my wife is not in the best of health, thanks for nothing Cheapoair, you are very welcome.

When I contacted customer service I was told I need to pay $50 for each person including the infant which came to $150. They wanted $50 to correct a misspelled name and relented only when I told them to cancel the booking (three minutes after making the reservation). Use their website only to research which airlines fly where you want to go, then book directly with airline... Don't use Cheapo!

My son purchased a flight through CheapOair on Black Friday 11/24/17. After paying for the ticket a few days later he was told that they did not receive all of the money and that he would have to pay an additional amount. Then when he was going to pay for his baggage on 12/10/17 realized that his ticket was for the wrong date. We call and they tell us that they can not do anything because the ticket is already paid for, it is past the 24hrs and with the airline. We were also told that the airline was the only one that could change the ticket. For a student in college that already does not have any money the least they could have done was eat the charge for the change. We believe that the person that called him to get the extra funds changed the flight.

Would never use this service again. First I booked my flight without any problems until it came time to choose my seats and found that CheapOair was putting a premium paid to them, not the airline for certain seats. There are seats you can choose for free, but I thought it was ridiculous for them to charge for seats the airline didn't.
Within 12 hours of my reservation, I needed to push my flight back by a day. Talked to their phone agent (actually second agent. First hung up on me when she couldn't understand my question), who did understand, found the right flight, and then informed me there would be a substantial change fee. So I asked to cancel the flight and was told it would be $150 to do that. Long story short, I ate the $150 cause it was cheaper to book with another online company than pay the change fee and the new ticket price I was quoted. The agent told me he had no leeway to waive the change fee or match that of another company. Lesson learned, won't be dealing with CheapOair anymore.

My daughter and I were trying to book a flight together so we could travel to a convention. We both went on CheapOair website and booked the same flights, and even picked our seats so we could sit together. After 2 days of trying to figure out what happened, and both of us, separately, talking with the airline, Cheapoair agents, and my credit card company, we ended up with one plane ticket booked in my daughter's name, but MY credit card charged. The airline had my daughters info and Cheapoair had my info. So we had 1 ticket between the two of us.
For all the hassle, we couldn't cancel. The best Cheapoair could do was refund me $11! The AIRLINE changed the ticket to my name, but after all the hassle, my daughter won't even consider using Cheapoair, and will get another flight. I now am flying alone and have hated this whole experience. Cheap? Oh yes, but by the time the airline added all their fees I had spent $133.95 MORE than the advertised price. What a rip off! NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Gustavo, our apologies for the inconvenience. Our site is set up to provide flexible dates if they are cheaper than your dates you have requested. However, you don't have to click anything to avoid flexible dates, but you have to move down the flight availability page to bypass those particular dates. Our website does not change the flights you selected. We did offer to assist you with the changes, and the add collect is what the fare would of been for the dates you originally searched for.

They have no clear guidelines on the rules and just make it up as you go. Which makes refund too low. Refund charges are insane and website is not user friendly when you need to make changes or cancellation. I will never recommend CheapOair to anyone and of course will not use it and WILL BUY FROM AIRLINES DIRECTLY for much better service and very low cancellation penalties.

We booked a one-way ticket for the 23rd of December. Immediately after we hit the confirm button, the itinerary that came up listed the departure date as the 25th. Incredulous, we both checked and double checked the original search dates and then the confirmation dates; the confirmation did not match the original, selected flight. We then immediately called the customer service line. They informed us that they had automatically changed our flight date because it was cheaper - and informed us it would be $94 to change the date back to the 23rd. We asked to cancel, and they again told us it would be $94.
By this point we were angry, and wanted to cancel on principle. The customer service representative said she was transferring us to the cancellation line; instead, the call was disconnected on their end. We called back again; this time we were told there would be no fee, but in the middle of the call, the representative suddenly claimed he could not hear us (despite a full signal bar on our phone and perfect call quality) and we were disconnected again.
So we called back...again. And were disconnected - again. We checked phone service on all three of our phones; the issue was definitely not us. To their credit, they did call us back, and we did finally get our reservation cancelled by a very helpful individual, although they did charge us $15. I've used CheapOair for flights and hotels in the past without incident, but this one incident was awful enough to outweigh all the previous ones. I cannot believe how terrible this experience was; I feel like the website changed our flight to attempt to nickel and dime us, and I almost suspect that the subsequent customer service was intentionally terrible in an attempt to dissuade us from cancelling. I will never use CheapOair again, and I will adamantly recommend to my friends and family to steer clear.

I was using this company to book my flights for few years. Just had an terrible experience with them where I have been charged for a flight that I never took. They have some kind of scam going on that if you bought the Deal tickets they are advertising and book specific dates they will send you so called flex date ticket of their choice. I have booked two round trip tickets like I did many times before and they send me itinerary for the wrong dates. After realizing what happened I have called to let them know that mistake have been made by them and the dates are not the ones I need to fly on.
Well let me tell you about the customer service, terrible, rude and very unfriendly. They basically called me stupid telling me that I need to learn how to read. I have tried to cancel but no luck. So needless to say that they basically took my money and give me a middle finger even to I have been a customer for very long time and spend well over 10000.00$ on plane tickets thru them. Never again. Be very careful with this company.

I booked flights to the Philippines in June for a flight in December. In August, I had an unexpected wedding with my now husband due to his mother being put in hospice. We wanted her to be there since she didn't have much longer. Around that time, my passport was about to expire. So, I decided to just do all the name change then, since I thought I would be saving myself from some hassle later. I finally got all my information changed and new passport in October. Therefore, I tried to change my name on my ticket. I sent in all my documents and paid the $75, which I guess is expected. Finally on Nov. 20th, I get an email saying that my request was denied. They were not able to change my name due to no more seats on the flight I had already booked... (Why does that need to happen? Why can't they just go in and change the name??)
They gave me the options of arriving early to go over the correction, or to cancel my ticket and purchase a new one. Alright... I still wasn't too worried. A few days later, I get a call from Korean Air about a plane change. Since I was on the phone with them, I decided to ask if they could just change my name real quick. They said they had no control over my name because the ticket was under CheapOair. I started getting a little worried thinking even if I went early, would they still not be able to change my name? So, I called CheapOair to ask why they can't just change my name. The guy I'm talking to tries to kill all my hope. He tells me that all I could do is get a refund and rebook a flight. Flights are now like $3000 each... so of course, that's not an option. I DO NOT have money like that. I had bought a flight for both my husband and I. Round trip for $1600.
So he says at this point, I could get a refund of $930.28, plus a cancellation fee of $250 per ticket (WHY IS THAT NECESSARY???). That would leave me with a $430 refund. The guy tries to tell me that this is my best option and I should do it NOW. If I wait later, I'll get less of a refund and in his experience, Korean Air is VERY strict and under no circumstances do they ever do a name change. That sounded just absolutely ridiculous to me. He ended up asking why I had to do the name change. So I told him the whole story of my late mother-in-law and ended up crying at him, especially since I hadn't seen my family in the Philippines for 8 years. Saving up for a trip on the other side of the world took a LOT of work and now when I finally have enough, he's saying I can't? Because of my name? That hurts. So he says he'll try to waive the fee if I try to cancel everything NOW. I think, oh he's nice... He's gonna try to waive the fee for me.
But I collect myself and end up saying no, because it seemed ridiculous to just give up right away. I wanted to call Korean Air to see if there was anything they could do. When I told him no, he was like okay bye and just hangs up on me. Oh... it was an act. Where's the humanity? So I call Korean Air and they're super nice. The agent I talk to ends up giving me hope again. I asked him why my name change was denied. He says they could change my name no problem, but they don't have control of my name because it's through CheapOair. But what I could do is call CheapOair and conference call Korean Air so they could change my name right then. I attempt this... When I call CheapOair again, this guy keeps giving me the runaround and putting me on hold. I kept trying to tell him how I could be the one to call them. I kept trying to explain what Korean Air had told me, how it was no problem.
Again he kept making excuses not to call Korean Air, saying it would take forever (There was no wait time anytime I called Korean Air), he kept re-reading the email that was sent to me about the denial, and he kept putting me on hold to talk to another department about the name change. As I was on hold, I ended up calling Korean Air and begged them to stay on the line with me as I called CheapOair. They said yes! So on that phone call, they go back and forth talking. I could barely understand them due to strong accents. We were back and forth getting put on hold from both sides. CheapOair ended up hanging up on us. Korean Air came back and gave me a rebook# saying I could get a new seat on the flight, no extra charge.
On the last call, I finally get off hold and he tells me that he will get back to me with an answer from the higher ups/airlines whether my request is approved or not. I now have 3 weeks before my flight. I am WORRIED. I feel like I can't even prepare for this trip properly, buying items that I'd need, because what's the use if they won't let me on the plane? Again, I can't spend extra money like that. Flying to the other side of the world has already taken a lot. I can't have all that just be for nothing, just because a selfish travel agency just wants some extra money. HAS ANYONE EVER HAD SUCCESSFUL NAME CHANGES WITH THIS COMPANY?

I searched for a pair of tickets on two specific dates, realized after I made the purchase the dates they sold me were not what I asked for. I called to try to get it changed, the representative told me that she would do so but charge me an additional 200 dollar fee plus approximately seventy dollars in a separate fee. I declined respectfully and hung up. She called back a moment later and said a discount applied to me and that I would not have to pay the 200 dollar fee, just the approximate seventy dollars. I asked for clarification, saying "so this is seventy dollars in addition to what I already paid?" She said "yes." So she charges me the seventy dollar fee, and I discovered she also charged me another 149 dollar fee when I looked at my bank statement.
Many, many calls to customer service resulted in people promising to call me back and not doing so, people instructing me to email them my bank statement and not replying or clarifying where they were with refunding my money - literally everyone I talked to said they would do something and then didn't do it. Eventually I spoke with a supervisor who admitted I was misled by the person I was on the phone with initially, and said he'd refund only 100 dollars of the overcharged amount if I provided him with every piece of information necessary for him to gain control of my bank account - my routing number, etc. I declined this. Don't deal with this company unless you want fraudulent charges on your card and no recourse.

I'm currently stuck in Bali due to the volcano eruption. I am trying to fly out to Surabaya airport which is a neighbouring city in Indonesia that is not affected by the volcano. Now that the Bali Airport is open (for the time being mainly for domestic flights) I called CheapOair last night to book a flight out on Friday. They were able to put us on a flight to Surabaya which was fine, however the connecting city on the flight was Lombak another airport which is currently affected by the volcano. I asked the man on the phone if it's a good idea to purchase to the insurance plan he said its a good idea in this situation. He also reassured me that I have 24 hours to cancel the flight free of charge in case something happens. So today we come to know that Lombak airport is officially closed due to the volcano.
I quickly went to CheapOair since it was my go to site for flights (not anymore) and I saw that the airlines had added more flights directly to Surabaya without stopping in Lombak for a very cheap price $82.00 Canadian Dollars. I called CheapOair and tried to explain the situation to the representative. As I'm explaining that the airlines have issued cheap flights out of Bali most likely due to the emergency and that I'd like to cancel my previous ticket he cuts me off and says "sir there will be a $50 service charge per ticket for any cancellation" I'm travelling with another passenger so in total a $100 loss. I told him that last night when I booked the ticket the representative told me explicitly that if I cancel my ticket within 24 hours I will not be charged anything.
He asks me if he can be placed on hold to talk to someone. He comes back and says that, "Sir I'm able to offer you something better. We can switch your ticket to the new direct flight for free without any service or cancellation charges." I asked him why in the world would I do that? I paid $330 CAD for 2 tickets and now the price has dropped to $160 for two tickets. Why don't you just cancel my previous ticket (which I'm legally allowed to do for free) and let me buy the new cheaper one. He say's sir I cannot do that I have to transfer you to cancellations. This representative asks me to again explain the situation (being stuck in Bali etc) so I do, and he says to me "sir we can cancel your ticket but it will be $75 per ticket" At this point I start getting really agitated. I ask him how can a cancelation fee go from being free to $100 to $150? He says "sir that is the rules".
In my head I'm thinking these guys are taking advantage of the fact that I don't really have a choice at this point but to cancel my ticket and book a new one or I risk being stuck here even longer. So finally he says "okay sir we will charge you a total of $100 for the cancellation" at this point I don't really have a choice so I tell him to just do it. After all of this, I still asked if I can book my new tickets with them at the new price. They transfer me to the ticket sales department. I give all my information as well as the other passengers information and right at the end he says "sorry sir we cannot make this booking for you, please book with the airline directly".
I was able to book a flight with Expedia 5 minutes later and was assured that due to my circumstance I would not be charged a cancellation fee if the airport is shut down. I've booked almost every flight I've taken with CheapOair for the last 5 years (at least 10 flights this year). I will no longer be booking with them again.

But then a few seconds later I received more emails saying I couldn't get my ticket issued because my card was declined. After conferring between my bank, CheapOair and the main airline for two hours... I came to the conclusion that there is still a purchase pending on the bank's side...
However, CheapOair said they haven't charged my card a single cent. So I went to cancel the transaction at the main airline and they couldn't... Only CheapOair could. They still want me to pay the full price of the ticket even though more than half of it is being processed through my bank. Maybe I'm still at fault here. Who knows? The total was 575.00 instead of 316.00! Told him to cancel ASAP! Of course there was a penalty fee. Then he told me it will take 7 to 10 days for a refund! We never even confirmed anything! I'll NEVER book anything through this business again!!

I had booked tickets close to holiday season and had paid a lot for my tickets. I wanted to prepone my tickets and the agent politely agreed to do so without any fee. However, he did not mention the cost of the new ticket for the preponed dates while booking my new ticket. After an hour or so, when I happened to check CheapOair website flight tickets for the same date, they were $600 lesser than what I had originally paid. I was extremely unhappy to have learnt that the customer service agent could not refund the extra amount that I had paid for my ticket and just kept saying that the ticket cost is final and maybe the cost was $600 lesser 1 hour before I checked. I have been monitoring my flight tickets closely for over 2 days and I knew how the price ranged for the days that I booked - So, I knew that the agent was not telling me the truth. I would not use their service again.

I have used CheapOair three times before. The customer service is the worst as the representatives have no information about the flight details or airport transfers. They kept bumping me to different representatives. None of whom had any idea of what was going on with the flights. 2 international flights - they did not know the layover times, the immigration checks and how many flight changes. I local flight, they made a reservation over the phone without last name changes. On calling customer service, booking would be done smoothly, any questions after booking are not handled professionally - rude!

Sunday 26/11/17, I tried to change my underage daughter's flight from a 6 week flight to Florida down to 4 weeks, she had paid a few thousand already, this company still wanted over a grand to change. After being on the phone for nearly an hour, the woman I spoke to told me my daughter was not a child, she says “now let me tell you something. Your daughter is not a child”. So rude, so disrespectful even after trying a few different scenarios to change it, but no they were only interested in the $$, almost as if it was a inconvenience. Then she had the audacity to have a go at me for not taking the lowest amount they offered which was over a grand.
Such a disgusting company, no empathy that I’m flying my underage daughter all the way to Florida on her own to see her best friend. They clearly sent me the message that they were not willing to help properly. They wanted to disregard the amount paid on the return trip and charge a whole new return on top of what was already paid, that was even including the option of changing the flights over as well. Sad company, and very disappointed.

My aunt booked the flight through CheapOair to see her ailing mother, had to re-schedule to an earlier date since her mother had passed away. She was told that CheapOair would file a refund request to AirChina airline. When she called again, CheapOair responded that AirChina rejected the refund request since the request was filed later than when the changes were made to the ticket. This is such a negligence on the CheapOair's service. CheapOair was very insensitive in the whole process of dealing this issue. I would stay away from this service provider, such a poor service. They are just concerned about milking money at any cost.

This is the email I just sent to CheapOair since their "NO" button (that rates if I was satisfied with the customer service) IS NOT CLICK-ABLE. No I am not satisfied with either of the two customer service agents I spoke to tonight. The first customer service agent instead of trying to help me solve my problem wanted to upsell me. I do understand that there are some fees associated with a change at times, however, he was unwilling to work with me. When I requested to cancel my flight so that I could just re-book for another time, he stated that the cancellation fee would be $65 which is not stated anywhere on your website or policy. I ended the phone call in hopes to recollect my thoughts and try again.
My second phone call, I spoke to a different agent. This time he offered me a change for an additional $7 and a better time that worked for me. I told him I would like that flight. Instead of honoring this offer he just made me, he said "hold on I have a better offer for you." When returning to the conversation, he told me that this new deal (with a whole lot of extra wording I couldn't understand due to accent and speed of talking) would be $17 more. I asked him for the previous deal that was $7 but he told me IT WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE!! This made me furious. I told him that it wasn't fair to offer something and not honor it AFTER I asked for it.
He put me on hold again to give me an additional deal for only $14. All the while I am still waiting for him to honor the 1st offer of $7 and a changed time. I then heard him LAUGHING. When I asked him if he was laughing at me... Under his chuckle he said "no, ma'am. I'm just sick and have a cough." He was clearly laughing at me which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I asked for a manager and his name. He said he could do that but he was just trying to give me a deal that had "no fees or charges" which really did not make sense to me. Then, instead of transferring me to his manager, offered to cancel my flight for no charges or fees which I really hope is true. Overall, I am COMPLETELY shocked at this experience. I have already posted to Facebook alerting friends and family to not use your company because of the lack of customer service and the blatant disrespect and unprofessional demeanor of your representatives.

It was a really a bad experience. They advised me to cancel my booking and make a new one, because the first booking has all this additional seat fee which I didn't intend to pay and was for me is sort of a hidden charge because It only appeared that I paid for the seat after I have entered my card number. So they advised me to make a new booking with the same itinerary and that they will cancel and refund the first booking. I even got an email confirmation of the refund after a day. Now, after more than a month, I'm making a follow up and they just said the airline void the refund? Was I just got ripped off?
Linnet, we have reviewed your reservation and we see that you called and canceled the reservation on the same day. Therefore you won't see an actual credit to appear on your charge card, because the transaction was voided. Therefore it was only a pre-authorization which your bank will release after 24-72 hours. Also we did try calling you to discuss this, but the number you gave on your reservation someone said they never heard of you. But at this time we consider this matter closed, and there is no refund that is due. You were never fully charged for the reservation.

I just checked CheapOair's website and your company's website shows over 10 airlines offering flights to Los Angeles tomorrow - 11/26/17. CheapOair's website is offering this many flights and airlines back to Los Angeles tomorrow - 11/26/17, then it shows your company is able to take us back to Los Angeles tomorrow very easily but your company will have chosen not to do so. The question is "Why have you not booked us a return flight as we already paid your company to do and your website shows that you are able to easily book us on another flight for tomorrow?"
You told me on the phone when you called our hotel that your company's upper management is trying to find the cheapest way to get us back without having to pay penalties and I told you this is not our concern. Your company's concern is their legal obligation to fulfill their contract with us when we paid and you booked us a flight back to Los Angeles tomorrow. You took our money. You sent us a confirming email with our return reservation and we planned around these dates so CheapOair is legally responsible to get us back tomorrow especially since your website shows you have available flights back to Los Angeles tomorrow.
If we do not get back tomorrow to Los Angeles, I took pictures of CheapOair's website of the flights back to Los Angeles and saved all of them for documentation. This documentation will show that your company did not follow through on your obligations to honor our reservation or contract with your company to get us back to Los Angeles tomorrow even though CheapOair was able to do so.
If you do not get us back to Los Angeles all these offerings back to Los Angeles on your website for tomorrow provide evidence of you and your company's willful contempt and you and your company's purposeful disregard to get us back to Los Angeles. It will also document the fact of your lack of good faith in getting us a confirmed reservation as your company is offering return flights tomorrow. If we do not get back it shows a lack of due diligence on your company's part.
I also have kept copies of all the CHATs I have been on with your company's onsite chatline as well as the emails on your company's online email support line as well as the 8 hours of more on my cellular billing showing I have tried to contact you to get this problem resolved since Friday and your company has done nothing. This is all evidence that can be used against your company when I file complaints when I get back to the United States. I have all the names of the personnel I have spoken to and the times - all before 4 am in the morning and how long your reps have put me on hold. I had to stay in bed all day yesterday because I was so exhausted from lack of sleep because I have been calling your company every day between 1 am and 4 am in the morning and then sending confirming emails.
All of this is documentation that I will use when I get back to the US. No one from your company has confirmed that CheapOair is going to get us a flight back tomorrow even though I have asked and put in writing a request that you confirm that you will get us back to Los Angeles tomorrow. Your website shows you are able to get us back if your company wants to do so.
Please get us back to Los Angeles tomorrow - 11/26/17. Do not leave us stranded here. I have 3 children with me and we have no hotel reservation after Sunday and we are running out of clean clothing. Please call us to let us know what you are doing. Also we plan to go to Kuala International Airport and take pictures of us stranded at the airport and we will start posting this on all available travel sites and blogs with the caption "Family stranded with 3 little children in Malaysia because CheapOair would not give us a return ticket even though we paid for the ticket."

Called customer within 5 minutes of the booking confirmation to correct the cancelled date. Had to pay $160 (for 4 tickets) to adjust the return date. All other major travel booking sites allow modification or cancellation for free within 24 hours! BEWARE of this unfair policy! Isn't it true that according to Department of Transportation regulations, if you've booked a flight in the U.S. and you've bought a non-refundable ticket seven days ahead of the flight, you're entitled to hold your reservation and the fare and to change or cancel your reservation within 24 hours without paying a cancellation fee?
Customer has been contacted and additional $160.00 was refunded. Case is resolved

I was calling for my credit since February and whenever I call I’ve been told that a supervisor will call me and never call me but after my feedback last week they call and leave a message. And when I call back first they put me on hold for long time and then they told me that a supervisor will call me. Of course he called me back on Thanksgiving and he called me back very late and just left a message on both time that my credit is expired.
Of course because of the horrible customer service you are providing or that the way you are doing it to not get customers their money back. Really I am going follow up with this matter very serious with ConsumerAffairs. Also my feedback will be everywhere to protect other consumer that will experience same things and I am going through with you. Booking in Australia is done very poorly. Remembering CheapOair from US I had a great experience, while here in AUS is awful. I have called them 4 times. Each time I get transferred to India. Each time I get disconnected when being transferred either to customer service or seat assignment team. My requests were not complicated: I wanted to receive my ticket after making the payment for the same. I wanted to request a seating for the two of us to sit together on an international flight departing a month from now.
The first was received after a lot of hassle and communication. The second was received for the part of the trip after contacting the airlines directly. The online service is useless and employees reply every 5-10 minutes to a line of message. The reply is generally vague and it feels as speaking to a robot i.e. no responsibility is taken. Each time when contacting a customer service representative I get a different reply to the same question: We can do that for you (before purchasing the ticket); Contact the airline directly (first time I called about the seating); You can only change it when checking in? (4th time I called about the seating). The Australian counterpart requires a lot of work and if you continue doing business this way no one will book with you regardless of your pricing. I know I certainly won't.

I told the guy that Expedia is selling the same flight for $705 while Jetblue is selling it for $755.44. I was politely trying to say I want to hang up now and thank you for all your help but he put me on hold again to give me to his manager who tried to match the $705 Expedia price. I said "I don't feel comfortable doing business with you. Thank you and goodbye." Beware of these guys! They are not straightforward with their pricing at all!
Carol, we appreciate the feedback and sorry we couldn't match the fare. Each travel companies have different contracts with their airline partners, therefore at times some sites maybe cheaper. As for JetBLue having a lower fare, that probably is true because many do offer web fares, that can only be obtained on their website, it cut's out the middle man,. I hope you were able to find what you were looking for, and thank you for checking with CheapOair.com

I used Cheapoair to book international flights across the Atlantic for my family. My flight schedule was changed twice by Cheapoair forcing me to downgrade to longer flights with significantly more layover time and impossible to catch connections. I spoke with their reps over the phone several times. They were completely unapologetic to say the least and mostly rude and unsympathetic. My wife will have to run across the airports with two kids to catch the connection and endure 9 hour layover in FRA. To add insult to injury, they forced another change on us by the addition of extra stop along the way to our final destination. If I were to book this final route from the beginning I would not pay 1/2 of what I paid.
Be careful people. You have zero protection from Cheapoair. I will never ever consider shopping for flight tickets on their cheap website. If there is a ZERO on the review scale I would choose it with ZERO hesitation. Review your business model and do not focus on short term gains. Let your customer satisfaction be your priority and do not lie to your customers.

I would like to have a free consultation regarding about what happened to my flight last night (11-09-2017). Flight from Indianapolis to Seattle (Alaska Airlines). Seattle to Vancouver (Alaska Airlines). Vancouver to Philippines (Philippine Airlines). I came really early to the Alaska airline to check in my baggage and to get my ticket for the flight. I was 5 hours 1/2 ahead from my flight. Then by the time that one of their representative enter my account details, it ends up I couldn't check in because of I will be needing ETA (transit visa from Canada) even just a connecting flight. And a week ago before my flight, I called Alaska Airlines regarding about the transit visa and someone told me that I don't need it coz it was just a connecting flight.
The manager assisted me, then we worked the ETA transit visa together so I can make to my flight on time without knowing that the manager don't remember if he puts my email address correctly which is really important to get the confirmation code. And I paid $57 to get it. But afterwards, we waited for it for so long, about 3 hrs. and my flight is really close. That I don't know what to do. Then the manager (Kyle) decided to pass my case on the other representative. And we had to do that ETA again (and pay it again for the second time) to get the confirmation coz I heard her she's talking on the phone that the manager was not sure if he puts the right email address of mine.
Then when the time that we completed the second application for the ETA, we got the confirmation 3 minutes after. If the manager just had concern with my case, I would've gotten to my flight on time but perhaps, he had me to wait for 3 hours not knowing he messed up my application that is why I am not receiving it thru my email address. And now, I missed my flights. When I was there at the airport until 9pm waiting for someone to help me and called Alaska airline, they said that they can't do anything about it. And they won't gonna book another flight for me coz my ticket is not up to them.
My ticket is actually under Philippine Airline which is my connecting flight from Vancouver to my final destination (Philippines). I was very upset that I couldn't get into any flight at all even it wasn't my fault. Coz I believe I showed up really early. Really early that anybody on my flight just to resolve if there's gonna be an issue. But they just wasted my time. They keep saying "IT IS STILL EARLY SO YOU WOULD HAVE ENOUGH TIME FOR YOUR FLIGHT." I was devastated and I can feel that I'm going to be late. Coz no one's assisting me.
I end up calling Philippine airline and one of representative gets mad at me and told me just to wait. Then after the long wait, nothing happened. My flight had just left. And they all needs to go home and they just left me with nothing in the Alaska airline. I called the agency that I bought my ticket and said that they cannot book my flight coz both Alaska and Philippine airline won't waive any fees if they will book my flight. They were scams. They want me to pay for $1000 just to book my flight on the other day (Nov 10th). They left me with no choice. Now I don't know what to do. It wasn't my fault but I am the one who suffered it. I really need to sue these people.

Booked a return ticket to Hawaii for September, 2017. Through my own fault missed the flight from Seoul to Manila. I arrived 40 minutes before takeoff and was told boarding was closed. Accepted that. They then cancelled my entire flight there and back as a "No Show". I tried contacting every number possible while at the airport and even went to their office at the airport (no kiosk available for Philippine Air at the Incheon Airport). My ticket required a 6 hour layover in Manila and there was a flight out of Seoul that would enable me to make the connection in time so that I could continue my trip to Hawaii.
The airline refused to accept that scenario. I also said they couldn't cancel my return tickets since all I had to do was book a one-way flight to Hawaii and I could still use the return tickets back to Seoul. They told me that since I was a "No-Show” in Incheon the entire flight was considered a No-Show and I was responsible. I fought the No-Show label as I was there before the flight left. They finally "awarded" me a $698.00 credit to which I accepted. In the fine print, it says: "When re-booking a trip with your credit, you understand that you must pay a re-booking fee of $325.00 per person, administrative services fee, and any difference in airfare." Hilarious! Is this a credit voucher? Hardly. Is this even legal? This company takes money in absolutely every possible way. Here's the fine print in its entirety.
"AS AGREED, we will charge you a total of $50.00 for processing this cancellation. You agree to the following terms that will apply to your airline credit and to your use of it:
1. You will have a $698.56 credit, valid only for flying on Philippine, within one year from the original date of issue: 06/15/2018.2. This credit is non-transferable and non-refundable, and may only be used by the person(s) named on the original ticket for which it is being issued, regardless of who purchased the ticket(s).
3. When re-booking a trip with your credit, you understand that you must pay a re-booking fee of $325.00 per person, administrative services fee, and any difference in airfare.
4. Finally, any and all changes are subject to availability and to the airline's rules."
(I highlighted, "AS AGREED," because I did not agree. I agreed to the credit while online with a chat agent and all the rest was done offline by them. There was NEVER a mention of a $50.00 cancellation fee let alone a $325.00 re-booking fee.) I received the rest of the credit confirmation by email only to learn of the above. Just ridiculous. I have been using this company for the past several years and will never use them again. Wholly and completely dissatisfied with the company, their policies and their chat agents who hung up on me repeatedly while trying to re-book a flight from Incheon to Manila to make my connecting flight. I'm curious if others have had a similar situation? I would love to bring it to a court.

All in all charged three times. Once didn't go through, once had to be refunded, and the third was added on as a fee to resolve the other two.
Ryan booked online and his credit card was declined for the preferred seating he selected on AA for $67.15, we did send an email advising to call our credit card department which is a direct line to them so he wouldn't have to sit on hold just to be transferred. The charge was for selecting seats for $14.95 which allows you priority seating, but he had selected premium so that 14.95 would be refunded,.The ticket purchase was confirmed and his credit card charged for the tickets. An additional $300 was for a "paid seats" charge - all this on top of the airfare. Cancellation was not free - but included a $75 penalty charge per person. Ouch! I then had to change the flight's dates to exactly the same times, same flight numbers a week earlier. I booked the change on 9/21/17. I knew there would be a cost to this, but not what I expected. I paid initially 118.38 for the flight, then when it was changed, CheapOair charged me 25.95 for flight insurance, but Spirit charged me an additional 130.00 for the change. When one books tickets on this site, they are quick to remind you that only so many tickets are left, so book fast. Then they state that you have a 24 hour cancellation option when booking on their site. The little "i" next to the place where they state this, tells the user that they can cancel within 24 hours for a fee. However, they do not specify the $ amount of the fee, which would be a very easy thing to do. However, they opted not to do it, most likely to avoid having clients not book the tickets if they knew who much they would charge them to cancel it, if they had to. Instead it is buried in their T&C, which no sane person is going to read when they try to book a flight that has a limited availability.
I find it very deceiving, which is why I will not only not recommend this company to anyone, but also will do my best to spread the word about the way they handle the business i.e. purposefully hiding important information so that they could make money on unsuspecting clients. Also, their $75/person cancellation fee is way above industry standard cancellation fee of $25/person. This is the most likely reason why they are not posting it. On top of this, when you do cancel, they then say that it takes up to 14 business days to get your money back, which is also incredible in this financially savvy world, where transactions take minutes not weeks. So it appears that this company's motto is to - save a penny and waste a dollar. Don't get caught up in this, shop around. I found a much better deal through a brick and mortar travel agency, that this online service could not match.

Your airline changed its schedule" but yet I could not click on their website to change the schedule, had to be on hold and hung up on a few times to finally get through on 10/27/17 to Kylie that stated they could not accommodate my schedule due to the airline changes.
When I requested a refund so that I could go reschedule with someone else she told me it would take 1-2 months to receive my refund and yet I need to get my flight rescheduled before 1-2 months. This is unacceptable. One that they cannot accommodate the airline changes when it is suppose to be their business to work with this type of situation and two to not be able to refund my money within a timely manner.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. Customer service is the worst and they are always putting you on hold for 60 minutes or longer at a time and transferring you and you are on hold for 60 minutes for every transfer and when transferring getting hung up on multiple times and when asked to have a supervisor return my call on 10/27/17 they did not return my call until 10/29/17, and then left a message as if they did not know what my problem was only that I needed my reservation to be changed due to the airlines.
UPDATED ON 11/09/2017: I will not change what I wrote when it is the truth and since I wrote it the situation has gotten worst (no surprise) as I now I have receive one refund but not for the full amount that I paid you and I have heard nothing about the second refund. Why would you not have been able to refund BOTH cancellations at the same time when they were both paid the same way? So basically your company still SUCKS because now I have to take the time to be on hold for hours again to find out what you have done and why you have not refunded me my full amount paid AND why I have not received the second refund amount I paid when I was told that I would receive a FULL REFUND for BOTH reservation being canceled.
None of this is my fault except that I paid your company for these reservations and you could not accommodate the airlines' flight change. That is certainly not my fault but I am sure paying the price in more ways than money. OMG the amount of time I have had to use to get what? Certainly not my refund OR a flight paid that could accommodate schedule. I had to borrow money to arrange for the 2 flights I had to cancel with your company to get us home until I receive my refund from your company which apparently is going to take some time and probably will have to call an attorney at some point to receive what is rightfully mine.
I would think a flight time change by the airlines would be a common occurrence for your company and yet you could not accommodate this change. Customer service would be a supervisor calling me back the same day and if they did not reach me leaving a direct line phone number to call them back so I could talk to some direct. But no your supervisors just leave a message that they called regarding the cancellation request. The message was almost like they did not think there was a problem and no direct line phone number left therefore making me start the on hold for hours process all over again. I would just like my FULL AMOUNT OF MONEY PAID TO BE REFUNDED FOR BOTH RESERVATIONS SO THIS COULD BE OVER!!!

Ordered my son a flight to return home for Thanksgiving and didn't notice until a few days after the flight that the date wasn't correct. Called to change the date and it's a $200 fee. Looked at some reviews for the company and this has happened A LOT... What about a class action law suit. Especially for the people that paid the $200.

Cheapoair has resolved the issue by shortening my layover times to a much better one. I thank CheapoAir for their prompt response and courtesy to call back and made sure everything was OK.

I bought tickets from CheapOair. The layovers were horrible, so I called them to change flight times. They charged me an extra $240 to do the change for shorter layover times. Overall, I paid over $1300. They changed my flights FIVE times in the course of 2 months, and the layover times got even worse. 20 hour layover times even though I paid them an extra $240 to do shorten the times. They would not give me my $240 back and had the NERVE to charge an additional FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS on top of the $1300 I've already paid. They just would not give me my $240 back even if I cancelled.

My sister booked a ticket for me to go from New Mexico to Ft. Myers, Florida. She paid for this ticket on her credit card. On my credit card they charged me $264 and change plus my bank charged me $120 overdraft fees because of course I did not have the money for their 4 transactions. I am trying to get this taken care of with them and my bank. I am getting nowhere with CheapOair. I've called 3 times and chatted once and I keep sending the proof over to them with no satisfaction. I think I'm going about it wrong. I think I should get an attorney for this. CheapOair is not responding to me at all. They are charging me for a trip overseas. I'm not going there. I don't even have an updated passport. If you need any proof, please email me and I will email it to you. If you need to speak to the representative I will give you her name number and extension.

Not happy at all with CheapOair. Yesterday we spent a considerable amount of time finding a reasonably priced flight for my senior-aged father to fly from Cancun to Mexico City. We found a price of US $141 for the return flight. We attempted to pay using our credit card and finally after 10 mins trying to process the payment, our credit card was rejected, for which there was no reason. We then tried to use another card and noticed that the price for exactly the same flight had increased to US $170.
As we simply just wanted to get the ticket, we continued the process to pay the extra amount on a different card. Our payment was then processed, we received a CONFIRMATION NUMBER and all the flight details. But when my older dad arrived at the airport, he was told that there was no record of the payment, the confirmation was incorrect, and that he would have to pay for another flight. Unfortunately he was told to pay US $120 for a ONE WAY FLIGHT, which, being a bit older and confused by the situation, he did. So, putting it all together, the price increased by US $29, the CONFIRMATION was NOT a confirmation and we will have to pay a single return flight which will probably come close to doubling the amount that we originally planned to spend. Not happy at all!!!
