Worst customer service of all time. Incompetent non qualified personnel who really does not care about their business. The guy on the phone kept cutting me off while I was explaining the situation and could not understand the simplest questions I was asking. Rude. Useless. Straight up awful. I called back and I believe I spoke to the same person or someone who sound exactly the same and the guy was extremely unprofessional and not helping at all once again. So disappointed.

The Booking process was easy to do doing with the helpline. Ms. Jane was very helpful. Thanks! Always, we bought the tickets calling the Travel Agency. In this opportunity I did by Internet, thinking to get a good deals. Spirit's prices was very good, but we were surprised when Emily called us after my Booking confirmation, telling about the extra payments for the seats! Later on, she gave me the seats' numbers. As an positive suggestion, please detailed the total Booking to be paid, specifying the respective seats. By the way Ms. Emily communication was polite.

The only website that doesn't warn you about the fact that they have changed you itinerary while booking. They change the flight time and date without warning or blocking the process for you to accept the changes. They make you proceed for payments and once you get you confirmation... you get the changes. They charge you a 75$ penalty per ticket to cancel after a 5 min lap time or 100$ to rebook you on the same flight you had first selected. Nice scam! If you want to use their price match... good luck because they put rules to make you match the modified itinerary. They send you NOT your original/corrected itinerary. So the modified itinerary would need to have a price drop to get a credit... but it would be still be a wrong itinerary. Tricky!

My wife and I hardly ever fly, (maybe ten years ago) because most of the time we drive. We decide to fly and went on CheapOair to book flights. We decided February 18 to the 20. We both did it together and double checked the flights. A couple weeks later we decided to rent a car and the price tripled on rent a car because it was for thirty days and we double checked flight and instead of coming back in February it had us coming back in March 20, obvious human error.
They refuse to change the month. He was very nonchalant and didn't care. They refused to correct the problem. Because it was a cheap flight. Is not their motto cheap flights. We out over two hundred dollars which cheap flight keeps in their pockets because of simple human error, click of a button or their so called photo shot of transaction. He told me to tell it to United Airline maybe they can help. I had to upgrade and cost us over six hundred dollars to return from Atlanta. Because of human error. Also not second phone call to CheapOair the first customer service. He gave me no other options except note his problem attitude.

I was having trouble booking a simple trip to Florida for a weekend to sell a house. The flights that were shown were full, and it was quite important that I got down there. By working on the phone with a CheapOair agent, I was able to not only book a flight for both legs of the trip, but the agent was able to do it in a way that saved me both money and time. A win-win! Thank you for your help.

I bought 3 round trip tickets from CheapOair. 3 days later when I try to change the return date for the flight they told me to pay 1200 dollars which 200 dollar ticket change fee per-person from the airline; and they told the price difference for the ticket from different day was other 200 dollar per-person. So I call the airline myself and they told me I have to pay 600 dollar which 200 dollar per-person for change the tickets and that was it. There are no price difference for the tickets.
So I called CheapOair back the next day; they still ask me to pay 1200 dollar again and still claim there are price difference on the tickets; so I finally call them the third time, and told them about this fraud they committed. Right away they told me there are fees to change my flight which they have stated on the website, and instead charge me 1200 dollar for change the return flight tickets now is 1037 dollar. I ask them how could they do this to customers. And now they just denied about want to charge me 1200 dollar, and now just 1037 which includes their 537 dollar change fee on top of airline fees. OMFG. Play people like a monkey!!!

Couple of years back, I was in a rush to go to India with my family - When browsing over the Internet, I found one very economical cheap deal popped over my search engine. Then I rushed and booked the ticket. Then that has started my unimaginable experience. Once I book through their site, They would confirm after a long time. They have booked my return flight over CANADA (which I have not checked during booking), which I do not know that we should have transit visa to change flight in Canada.
This was never told in the website. But, to change that ticket - it took 2-3 hours of time- Because they do not have manpower on their service department. So I found their service department is horrible. They have charged me $300 extra for each ticket change I did, They have replied me saying they mentioned that if we are booking a ticket it is our responsibility to have Visa and they will not give any information. So friends, Nowadays every airline has their own website. Please book your tickets through their sites, So you would have some peace of mind. Please do not rely on these cheap business sites.

Just found out from Alaska Airlines website that I can get the same flights for $856 two round trip tickets from San Diego to Honolulu as I booked through CheapOAir. With the booking and service fees added I paid $990 to the agent on the exact same flights. That is $134 more than buying the tickets directly from Alaska Airlines. I guess I am confused that why people want to go through the agents.

I want others to be aware that CheapOair is not a good place to purchase airline tickets. Since booking our flight in September 2017, we have received emails and requests to call them for (5) different changes to our flights. The latest one is now arriving hours later than our original flight. We called to complain, and ask what was going on with so many flight changes. The CheapOair Rep. said "Sorry, is there anything else?" Wow! Terrible customer service, and I do not feel as though I am getting the service I originally purchased. What a racket, once they get your money, they are done with you. Furthermore, the forums that I have read said it is highly unlikely that CheapOair will issue any sort of a refund. As for me lesson learned. I will never book with CheapOair again - just a warning for others to shop around! Take Care.

I do not post experiences, good or bad, publicly. It takes more effort than its typical worth. This, however, was one of my worst experiences with any company, ever. I was not informed of my flight cancellation until I called to ask, due to weather. I knew flights were being cancelled from O'Hare prior to calling, and asked them to confirm. I sat on hold for a half hour to be told what I already knew, and was told my trip would be cancelled. I asked to clarify - was my flight canceled, or my trip? They told me both. Will this cancel my return flight? No, I'll still be paying for that. I told them I didn't want to cancel, I wanted an alternative flight.
When requesting alternative options, after much pressing (they just wanted to cancel half my trip), I was given two- originally only one. One (first option) went through the same airport which canceled my original flight, despite my request to go through or to another airport; the other (second option, pulled like teeth) went through Detroit, which was also encountering the same storm and flight cancellations. The second of those had an upcharge of double the original ticket amount. I was obligated to take one or cancel my ticket and still be charged my return flight. I lost a day in my two day trip, and lost 2 hours arguing with a customer service associate who kept trying to cancel my ticket rather than actually look for alternative flights.
I was frustrated, but ready to give up. I then received a third flight on my emailed itinerary, which was never mentioned on our call. I called back and encountered a second associate who argued with me, curtly told me I had been offered the third one on my ticket (I hadn't), and flatly refused to look into options to a nearby airport or through others. He cut me off, using my name, to tell me I was wrong.
I wasn't. I had been offered two flights; neither were this third random flight. There was no reason for me to go to my destination, back, and then to my destination again in a two day stretch. I asked if he could check if a flight into a different airport in the area would help. He refused to help me other than take the third trip off my itinerary. He ushered me off the phone.
I will never use this agency again. I understand there is a winter storm and options are limited, but there is no reason a representative should refuse to even look. I encountered two. I offered to sit on hold for an hour or two if someone needed time to look into it, and was refused. They could give me a call back in 24-48 hours with options, I was told. I commented my trip would be done in 48 hours. My original flight had been scheduled for about 10 hours out at that point. Would I be charged even more at that rate, missing several flights (let alone my family wedding)?
I believe, given my second encounter, that the first representative put in my file that I was difficult because he was unaccommodating from the moment he pulled up my booking number. I never breached the topic with either of them, but if you're using an agency, I'd imagine that's the representative's job to at least look at options. I guess I can take some blame in trying to trust a company called Cheapo, though. To some degree, I got myself into this mess.

Don't believe on the free cancellation hoax. Only Expedia cancels for free. Made a booking 4 hours ago, booking number **. Called CheapOair to cancel, the first agent passes on the call to another agent. Another agent comes on the call and asks a list of security questions which were promptly answered, and then the agent asks the reason for cancellation to which my honest answer was the trip was clashing with my other trips. The agent then says, "Sir you will receive $836.64 back on your credit" but CheapOair has a service fee of $75 for this cancellation, I was shocked and tell the agent I am calling within the 24 hour window.
The agent says, "Sir, I will walk you through the rules" when I refused to hear further, the agent says, free cancellation is only for reasons like getting sick or something like that. When I ask the agent to either hang up or pass the phone to the supervisor, initially I was refused, when I pushed further, I was put on hold for nearly 15 minutes, then the same agent comes back and says, "Sir, I my Manager is busy, however I had a word with him and you will the charged only $35 for this cancellation". Oh great, CheapOair is doing me a favor after spending tens of thousands of dollars over the years. Long story short, CHEAPOAIR 24 HOUR FREE CANCELLATION IS NOT FREE, IT COMES WITH A FEE OF $75, SO EVERYONE OUT THERE, BEWARE!!!

I had several awful encounters with this company when booking my honeymoon. After booking and confirming all of our flights through CheapOair, the airline made a major change in one of our flights. It took far too long to get an agent on the phone to fix it. They finally agreed to book one of my 4 flights on a different airline. I checked my itinerary a few weeks before leaving and despite being assured I was all set, CheapOair had never actually confirmed my booking with the separate airline. It took hours upon hours of being on hold and talking to several agents to get it fixed. I was only offered pennies as compensation for their mistake. Assuming the original flights I had booked were all set, off on our vacation we went. It turns out CheapOair had never actually confirmed ANY of our flights. At no point were we able to check in to any flight online and were forced to wait in long lines at every single airport due to their mistake.
On top of it, when I complained via social media I received an email asking when a good time to call me to "reach a conclusion" was; when I replied to that email I received an auto-message telling me that was a non monitored inbox. (Not sure why they would tell me to respond to an invalid email other than just not caring about complaints or customers.) I then forwarded my response and the original email FROM THEM to their main email address.
I received a rude response basically stating that they had already fixed the problem so why would I need to talk to them again. This is after they asked me when a good time to talk was! And, the problem wasn't even fixed! I was still not able to access or confirm any of my flight details online. It's very scary when you are traveling for 2 weeks and don't know if you will be able to get on any of your flights. This is hands down the worst experience I have ever had. Absolutely DO NOT USE CHEAPOAIR unless you want to add stress, hassle and rude customer service to your vacations!

The majority of reviews for this company express fraudulent business practices. DO NOT engage them. Unauthorized changes in flight reservations on their end, "cancellation insurance" that is for them but not for the airline, "cancellation insurance" that is ONLY for natural disaster, you're not told up front that you have to pay extra to have a seat, changes in flight at the last second requiring you to pay more if you still want to go on your trip, etc. Your itinerary doesn't show until after you've paid... and can be wrong.
Calling to correct it results in several hundred dollar "change" request even though it was made within a minute and was their problem. I'm assuming this is an algorithm meant to defraud consumers such as with some online companies when you select items to purchase the "number of items" column can autofill and it's up to you to notice and correct it. Calling them is an exercise in unlimited patience; they "don't hear you" resulting in repeating yourself a dozen times. Convenient language barrier. Definitely caveat emptor.

I have until now had wonderful experiences with your customer service but this situation is different. I am being told that you cannot accept my screen-shot evidence of the mistaken charge you made to my Visa account, but there is no other way to get the information to you without waiting for next month's statement, God forbid. I'm also being told that rather than using the original amount you charged, you now want to put through three different transactions totalling the original amount, which will never fly because my remaining balance was decimated by your mistaken charge. And now I have to sit with this until your billing department opens on Monday. Ick.
This has been resolved. When you make a reservation and ticket has been issued, and later call to make changes, you are going to see the original charge there, and you receive a new charge for the new booking. It looks like you have been double charged, but the original charge falls off within 48 hours or according to your bank. We understand it can be an inconvenience, but that's just how the billing goes when changes are done.

When we call that number, first of all the person we spoke to was rude, no compassion, even I told him the reason of flying is bereavement. He keeps on blaming us that it's our mistakes and will charge us for correcting it.
It was a very stressful back and forth conversation. Not a single condolences from him. I ask for supervisor or manager. Same thing, for a simple correction of name he gave me a hard time and tried to rip me off with extra charges. I spoke to JetBlue and they said I shouldnt be charged because it's a quick correction that can just be done on the JetBlue Homepage. JetBlue even lets you do a correction just once for free. I think it's horrible that I have such a simple request and they want to take advantage and charge me almost the cost of a new ticket. I called and asked for a supervisor and they said there is not one on site... How is that possible? So I was told I would receive an email regarding the problem, this is beyond me. I wanted to schedule a flight to New York for 3 days. I had difficulty as it was on a holiday weekend, so I used this company, first time. I was willing to fly into Kennedy or LaGuardia, but while trying to find a good price at the times I wanted to depart and return, I missed the fact that it was arriving at an out of state airport. I called to change the flight, hoping I could. They were happy to, and during of the course of our conversation which lasted almost an 1 1/2 hrs. (a lot of it on hold), the price for the only flight he could find for me went up twice and I was arriving later the first day than I wanted, practically losing a day in New York for more money. I said it was way too much, but he pushed and said I could cancel in 24 hrs, neglecting to tell me there was a $50 charge. (If I knew this, I wouldn't have agreed).
The next day I called to cancel and was informed about the $50 charges. They tried to find me another flight, but I have already been soured by this company. Because of them I may lose the whole fare from the first flight I booked, The associate assured me that I would get my money back due to having insurance, he said just tell them that due to changes in their ticket policy, CheapOair doesn't refund tickets, but he seemed very confident I would get my full refund, but as I filed a claim and looked at the paperwork I have to fill out, the reason he told me is sketchy at best. I may have just lost $329 (flight plus cancellation charges). I guess I will not be going to New York as I can no longer afford it. The friend I was meeting there is very disappointed as well. Thanks a lot CheapOair!

The money for the ticket that I bought from you was still deducted from my bank account. Despite numerous calls and promises that the money would be refunded I have not had my money returned... YOU cannot take money and not supply the goods... Not only do you not return my money you don't return phone promised phone calls and promised emails of the conversations. If you are awaiting funds from the airline that is your problem, you dealt with them and I dealt with you but I paid for the goods you didn't supply. I made a reservation with CheapOair. When I was making the reservation the words Free Cancellation popped up on the page. When I received email confirmation, I noticed I had made a mistake. It is not possible to change the reservation online so I called to make it. When I got that confirmation, they had charge me $50 for making the change and $9 for a baggage protection. They said that was their policy when changes are made but that information is almost impossible to find on the website. So I cancelled the whole transaction and then they charged me $15 for the cancellation. Needless to say I will not use CheapoAir again.

When we checked our confirmation the flights were for a different date that is no good for us. This is very deceptive. Now going through the motions with Cheap and Spirit Airlines to get things changed. Of course they will change it for three times what we paid for the tickets. Looking back at the site, there is a small green bar saying to pick these alternate dates for savings. I wonder how many people they have snookered with this ploy?

I booked a ticket in a hurry as it was a very low fare and I did not check the details on the site regarding the cancellation fees. I was under the impression that all US travel agencies have a free 24 hour period. Anyways when I went to cancel within 24 hours, I did a quick Google search and quickly realize the fees so knowing the fees, I had mentally agreed to pay them so I called to cancel.
The Indian scammer on the other end claimed that the cancellation fee was $100/international ticket as I had acted dumb, then he goes on hold to try to get me a discount and comes back with saying he will give me $25/discount so it's $75/ticket which was the original fees. Then after negotiating a bit more, he agreed to do it for $60/ticket and then a bit more for $50/ticket while going through the process, he then offered to do it for free. The thing is that it was a mistake fare and it would have gotten cancelled a couple days later anyways. I would never ever again book anything from this site. There are many reputable sites that actually are customer friendly.

I purchased a round trip ticket from Manila to Hongkong last November using my credit card. I know I made the right decision of choosing CheapOair because of good reviews. I was complacent enough that everything is good. The day of my travel came and upon reaching the check in counter, the personnel told me that the booking was reversed and CheapOair reverted back the amount 10 days after my booking. I said it was impossible because my credit card provider usually sends an SMS when there is an activity on my credit card. I ended up paying the whole amount again.
Although CheapOair had refunded the original amount but it is still big disappointment especially if you are on a tight budget, one more thing, what I paid was not the same amount that was previously deducted. I frequently used third party booking agency because it is cheaper and I have no problems with previous agencies only through CheapOair.

My husband's name is David ** and my name is Gillian **, but the spelling on the booking form was **. It became a huge issue, I was asked to forward my birth and marriage certificate to the waivers department. The waiver was refused. It cost me $1700 for a new ticket. I was offered reimbursement for the first ticket with a $250 reduction. The reimbursement only came through at the end of December.
Also in order to travel with my husband from Athens to Crete, I paid an additional $200 otherwise wait 9 hours in Athens airport. CheapOair could have contacted Aegean Air and asked them to rectify the spelling as apparently this was the reason they could not change it. On its website there was even a place to do this. I however was helpless to do this myself. It was very obvious to everyone who saw this booking that the spelling was a simple typing error, the E is next to the W on the keyboard. To conclude what should have cost $1114 cost $1270 plus a great deal of stress and aggravation.

No compassion nor leeway to take to consideration of working again in the future.
I then tried again in the evening and another agent came on the line, not checking any flight possible, he said $250 to change the flight, $5.00 if I would like baggage insurance. $75.00 for cancellation and not guarantee full refund after 24 hours. Booked our flights 4 months in advance. Paid for Extra legroom seating for both of us. Paid for flight insurance. When we got to the airport we were told that we do not have the seats we paid for. I showed the agent the receipt showing the seats that I had got from CheapOair. Agent said sorry that's not what they have. So we both ended up in different seats in different sections of the plane. So much for travelling together, When I got to Toronto I called CheapOair and was after a 20 minute wait got to a agent. I told them what had happened. Then the agent hung up. I called back and got another agent and as I was telling them the issue they hung up again so I called a 3rd time, I immediately asked for a supervisor. They said no supervisors available.
So after telling this agent what happened and how I was hung up on twice before I provided them with my cell number and asked if we get cut off to please call me back. They said ok. Then I got hung up. So I waited for the call back and they did, so good on them right! As the story goes they cannot access the booking information from my airline which was Air Canada and they cannot help me. They have to put in a request via AC website and file a incident report. As I was going through all this, I got a message alert from my MasterCard on my phone saying a charge was placed on my Card from CheapOair in the amount of over 2800.00 So as I'm on the phone with the guy from CheapOair I say to him why has my Card been charged this amount just now. He says it can't be, So I give him the information and someone charged my card, OMG I was beyond upset now.
So here I am at the airport on the phone with CheapOair as my card is being charged this money after they screwed up my seats and charged me for it. So I asked the agent to refund that charge and find out who did it and why. I also demanded my money back for the seats we never got. I never found out who did it or why only it was credited back as well as my fees for the seats we never got. They will try to sell you flight insurance, DO NOT PURCHASE IT!! IT'S SCAM! On my return back from Toronto I was held up at Immigration and missed my flight. So I sent in a claim and it took almost 3 months for it to get processed only to be denied, REASON You're not covered if you're held up by customs, and I specifically asked that question when I purchased the insurance from CheapOair. Guess what again, CheapOair will not do anything. Do NOT use this company.

When searching for tickets on CheapOair, they place a statement "24 Cancellation" next to the flight information - very similar to the statements by airlines that you can cancel your booking for free within 24 hours. If you click on the tiny question mark and read carefully, you find out that there is a fee for cancelling at any time. This is intentionally misleading and therefore a bad business practice of the worst kind.

Since my last review where I accused CheapOair for recommending a travel protection plan that provides fraudulent and misleading information, I would like to state that my claim has since been more than sufficiently rectified. It is unfortunate that it took writing a less than favorable review to get my issue resolved, however, I am thankful that CheapOair did take responsibility by refunding my ticket price for a cancelled trip due to an unforeseen event as was promised by the travel protection plan that I had purchased. I purchased 5 tickets going to Europe. The first one was bus service and other two plane service. At first the travel time was supposed to be around 11 hours going to and 14 coming back. It looked great considering we will be traveling with 3 young children so my husband & I booked it. Two days later, there was first change made to our ongoing bus service. It'll take us extra three hours so 14 in total but it wasn't too bad going to. I agreed to the change. Another change came 14 days after the purchase and this time it was for the return bus connection. We have to wait 7 hours for it totaling it for 20+ hours travel with 3 small kids!
After being on a phone for more than 3 hours and not getting any better options, I asked for a full refund. I was really mad that my flight can change significantly like this within 14 days. I do feel like the tickets were miss advertised when we purchased it and CheapOair knew about these changes from the beginning. I am waiting on a full refund that I was told might take 1-2 billing periods. I do regret buying these tickets from travel agency like CheapOair and not straight from AirCanada. Lesson learned! I will not be using CheapOair ever again and would not recommend them at all!
Unfortunately airlines undergo changes in their operations all the time, and as travel agencies, we have no control over these changes. As an agency, we are to provide you with the information that has been passed along to us by the individual airlines, and at times there can be several changes prior to travel. We understand this is an inconvenience! airlines have total control over the schedules they offer, and the refund time frame. Ultimately, the refund comes from the airline, and not the agency, and there is a process for refunding airline tickets and it does take 30-60 days. Sometimes it can be quicker, but it all depends on the individual airline.

They state I never called them to change the ticket. They also told me they called me several times but I never answered. However, they called me once and left one message... NO REFUND. Their customer service is from India. They are terrible and they are pathological liars.

I hardly write reviews so you can imagine how pissed off I am that lead me to do this. I booked a flight for my 70-year old mother in April of 2017 for a Swiss flight from YYZ-ZRH-NBO. A few weeks prior to the flight Cheapo contacts me with a change, to add an additional stop-over in MTL. The flight which had one stop was now scheduled for 2 stops. I asked for an explanation but was told those were instructions from Swiss, not satisfied with their explanation I called Swiss only to be told that was not the case and the direct flight is still available. Cheapo had taken the liberty of making their own changes!
The Cheapo agent insisted I change my flight and that I had no other option, I opted to change the date instead or compensated for the additional stopover, the agent was rude and told me I would incur additional penalties if I were to cancel the flight. Feeling like I had no choice I agreed to their terms. For those reading this I hope that you will consider my bad experience before you book a flight through CheapOair. I guess you get what you pay for! CheapOair you have lost a good customer and I will make sure your horrible service is well known on every review site I come across.

We booked a non-stop single flight ticket, but later found an extra letter in the name. We contacted CheapOair for a name correction. In their first reply, they said my name change request was denied since there are multiple airline involved, and change in my name will impact my other flight. I told them that was untenable, and asked them to check with airline again. CheapOair never replied again even though I kept sending email to the agent who was taking care of this case. Her name is "Samantha **". Remember this disgusting agent and the disgusting CHEAPOAIR.

I have cancelled on Dec 31st of 2017 this round trip flight I have purchased with CheapOair due to physical issues. I have scheduled this trip beginning on Jan 8th of 2018. Today is the 8th and I have called the airline company to make sure my ticket was really cancelled but they have not been notified. The airline can't cancel the ticket because the notification has to come from CheapOair directly.
When I cancelled on Dec 31st, I received an email saying the round trip was indeed cancelled. I called this company again yesterday to confirm but the CheapOair agency's representative said he can't help me because I should talk directly to the same representative I talked before on Dec 31st whom is located in Ukrania and I have to wait 24 hours... What?!! I begged this representative to confirm the cancellation, and finally he did, but he can't send me anything in writing... Update: 27 hours has passed... and nothing. Why CheapOair didn't notify the airlines about the cancellation 8 days ago? Today, a few hours before the departure, the airlines can't cancel my ticket and they probably would have empty seats... This is very irresponsible and unprofessional!! Does the agency keep their commission if the ticket is not cancelled with the airline?

This is a horrible travel agency. For $478 ticket, they charged me USD 100+119 and USD 100+119 in penalties and fees for changing the flight. The actual difference in ticket cost was only $34. When I asked for the detailed invoice they asked me to ask find at other place. Also, I clearly told them that I do not want to be their customer and want to clear break-off. Apparently, it's not possible. The manager said that I need to directly talk to airlines company to be able to break a contract with them. They will not provide terms & conditions, which says customers have no right of cancelling transactions with. Then invoices doesn't actually show what they are actually charging for. HotAir charges less than $40 in change of flight whereas, this agency is charge $219 in penalties and fees. The CustomerCare people were highly non-cooperative, shady, and non-transparent.
Updated on 01/17/2018: The CheapOAir agent has called after writing a review here about my experience. He has apologized for the multiple phone calls and hours of waiting that I had endured. Also, apologized for not being clear with the penalties and charges. He has removed $100 from the $200 CheapOAir agency fee.
This has been resolved with the customer.

I will never use CheapOair again. Even their name predicts problems: Their systems do not interface properly with the airlines. They make gross mistakes. They leave you hanging on the phone, for literally hours, with no contact with an agent. However, their agents are well trained and emphatic, which makes a terrible experience a bit better. The details follow, but they only substantiate these facts.
Both airlines have my Known Traveler number and our frequent flier numbers. CheapOair had me enter them again. I paid the $15 extra fee to select seats, which both airlines would have let me do for free on their Web sites. The first airline had no seats in the fare class CheapOair booked. Given I had to select seats, I selected the only coach seats available, which CheapOair charged an upgrade for, but the airline would have allowed me to book for free as a frequent flyer.
To add insult to injury, CheapOair charged me for the seats (incorrectly) twice: $135. At check-in, the first airline had neither my Known Traveler number nor our frequently flyer numbers. Also, the airline knew I was incorrectly charged for the seats. The check-in kiosk displayed, Apply for a refund. I asked the agent. She said, "Yes, you have been overcharged." As directed, I applied for the refund online using the airlines site. Naturally, the airline says, a ticket made through a travel agent can only be refunded by the booking agent. CheapOair says the airline got the money; the airline must provide the refund. I think CheapOair is right, but that doesn't get me the refund and leaves me in the middle with both parties saying go to the other.
Except for the missing Known Traveler number, missing frequent flyer numbers, and being overcharged for the seats, the outbound leg worked well. The return was a different story. I checked in the night before the flight. My check-in worked fine; my wifes reservation was missing. I called the airline; my wife's reservation was canceled. I called CheapOair; it was canceled but rebooked; they gave me the airline confirmation number and a ticket number. It was midnight; I waited to check-in my wife the next morning. Naturally, I couldn't check her in. It took a while with the airline to figure out why. Sure enough, my wife had a ticket, but it was an open ticket with no reservation!
My wife called CheapOair. It took a half hour to connect to an agent and then another half hour for CheapOair to figure out that the flight I had already checked in for was now full. The agent said he need to call the airline. My wife waited on the phone 2 hours without as much as a word from the agent. (A cynic would think this was a call center trick to get you to hang up) When the agent came on the line, he said he needed to call the airline. We have no idea what he did the previous 2 hours.
Two more hours (5 plus hours from the beginning of the call)... I know these kinds of reviews are filled with hyperbole, this is fact... the agent said, "All I can do is book you (my wife) on another airline, 6 hours after the original flight." I asked the agent if we went to the airport and the original airline would sell us a ticket would CheapOair pay for the ticket, regardless of the price. He said, yes. I asked him if he would hold the new airline flight reservation until we went to the airport and tried to get the original flight. He said, "How long"; I said a half hour; he said he wasn't supposed to, but he would. We went to the airport.
In less than 15 minutes, an agent for the original airline, hearing (part of) our story, gave us a seat on the desired flight, and put us in adjoining seats. The CheapOair agent did call in a half hour; we told him the airline reinstated the original ticket. Bottom line: a miserable experience, caused by inferior systems; little, if any, formal communications protocol with airlines (nothing equivalent to what an actual travel agent employs), subpar operating practices; customers left to resolve CheapOair's mistakes because they can't.

I used CheapOair a number of times. Previous times were good but the last one time was a very disgusting experience so I'm sharing so others can beware of their scams. I made a hotel booking for a room with 2 queen size beds for 3 nights, for 2 adults + 1 baby. On the website the price was $120/night. At checkout, it showed: $120x3 + $60 tax + $60 Extra Guest = $480.
I didn't select Extra Guest (at least not knowingly) so was surprised by that. I then checked around the page to see if it was an option to turn off but couldn't find any. We were also in a hurry so I decided to go ahead thinking it was the way the hotel works. When we arrived at the hotel, I asked the manager why they charged Extra Guest and they said it was charged by CheapOair, not by them. The hotel doesn't charge that because the room allows for up to 4 people and we only have 2 + 1.
After the trip, I immediately contacted CheapOair to ask. First, Live Chat refused any question about hotel booking and pointed me to an email and phone number to contact. I emailed. A few days later still no response. So I contacted Live Chat again. This time I was given a different email and a phone number (maybe same number I can't remember). This time I decided to call instead.
The person on the phone was rude and asked me for proof, which is fair. But when looking at the booking confirmation email, it doesn't show that Extra Guest item separately. It was all lumped inside "Taxes & Fees" for $120. I was speechless and tried to explain to him that it was showing separately on the website. The staff kept demanding me for proof and said in angry voice that I should only contact if I had proof. It almost sounded like he went through this before and know how the system works and know customer can never provide proof because their system never shows it in the confirmation email. I said it was not fair because it showed differently on the website than from the email but he didn't listen and hung up while I was still trying to explain.
If a staff sincerely wants to help their customer, they would listen and find ways to help. But it's clear that he was not interested. And again, it sounded it too much like he knew there was no way I could provide proof. This was a very disappointing experience as like I said, they were good before. But now I don't know if I can trust them anymore. After this I was in loss of $60 which is big but not too big. But if you are reading this, hopefully you can learn a thing or two from my experience and stay away from booking a hotel with them. At least I will.

When I asked to have better timing between flights, they said you can have refund on ticket at last minute, if he don’t like the timings. Worst customer service ever.
Ekta, we understand that changes in the airline schedules can cause an inconvenience, but as a travel agency, we have no control over the airlines operations. Air India, and United airlines had an interruption in one of the flights many travelers were affected by it, not just Cheapoair customer's, but the airline traveler's themselves. There was no other option to make that connection because you cannot change airlines, therefore you either had to accept the layover, or take the refund they were offering. We worked with your father and the airline to make this the least inconvenience for him, but the decision was to leave the flight as is, Our apologies for the inconvenience.

My family has been using CheapOair for the last 2 years and it has been fine until my most recent trip. The company voided my ticket the day after it was bought but didn't notify us with any email or phone call. I only found out that my ticket was voided when I tried to check-in online to my flight the night before and was told that there was an issue. When calling CheapOair, every call agent had different stories to what happened and some even tried insisting that my ticket was valid even though I had confirmed with WestJet that my ticket was gone. They made up this story that I had called to cancel my ticket, which I never did!!! (I had absolutely no reason to cancel my ticket). Then they resorted to saying that it was my mother who called to cancel the tickets, not me - they were essentially making lies up on the spot.
CheapOAir said that they only received payment for my return trip so they put me on a flight two days later for an additional $191. In total, the supervisor promised that I would only be paying around $315 for my return flight + the $191 = around $500 for both tickets. However, after checking with the bank, we found out that CheapOAir charged $950 for everything!!! They ended up charging $444 for my outbound ticket that they canceled! Till now, every time I call CheapOAir, they are still denying their wrongdoings and are refusing to refund the $444. Every call session is over 2.5 hours with no result.
This is extremely frustrating and I'm completely disappointed with this company. If there is no acceptable resolution soon, I promise I will never use this company ever again. I have been a trustworthy, loyal customer for the last 2 years, but this issue has forced me to rethink who I buy airline tickets now in the future. I STRONGLY believe that this company & website should be shut down due to their unacceptable and unethical behaviors. Please think twice before buying a ticket from CheapOair!!!

So when I called to re-reschedule my flight, they act like they can't understand what I am saying and explain I will have to buy yet another flight! And that I won't be able to receive a refund due to the flight being within 24 hours. On top of that, I have to go through 3 representatives before one finally gives me their supervisor's number! When they corrected it they told me I have to pay additional $200 plus from my previous booking, according to them, it was a new person. I understand there is a system and policy, but I also knew that there is some adjustment that management can do to correct the name of the passenger, I am not changing the passenger, or the date or the route, we just forgot one name in his first name, he's the same person. Can they not give some consideration, the reason why we chose this flight is because of the price, and it's a lot to us.
But we have no choice, because they have to be there Jan 10 or 11, so they charged us additional $67.00 for the next possible flight but with one stop and different airport. On booking a return multi-flight I received an error message that my card had been declined. I tried again as I knew there was sufficient funds, and again received an error message "card declined". I contact the bank and they say that US$2,306 has been taken. I worry of course - as the website says card declined and the bank says money taken, so I put a hold on my card. I contact the airline directly and they say the flights have been booked? I contact CheapOair eventually with a number provided by the airline (none of the numbers on the website worked for me - calling internationally). Customer service was great! Toby ** from Credit Card Declines particularly; knowledgeable, patient but strong and understanding of the fraud climate, my concerns.
Toby explained that the website reports the error because on multi flights particularly the banks assume it is fraud, making so many consecutive transactions, so when they report that error, we as the card owner contact the banks and the tickets get processed. So I told him, rather than saying card declined it should read, "Ticket confirmation pending. Awaiting bank's approval. Please contact provider, to authorize payment." Had it of said that... I wouldn't have panicked... and put a hold on the card... preventing the remainder of the ticket to be processed. Once I released the funds, I was assured I would get a confirmation email, which didn't arrive, until I contacted CheapOair again and they then sent the email.
We chose CheapOair because they had the best layover times for our liking, on the right day, for the right price. I put a hold on the card just in case. But I have not had any additional amounts attempted to be taken. So it would seem, after all we got what we were shopping for? BUT they need international numbers on the website, a better error message (the card wasn't declined?!), and better/immediate emails regarding the flights. But behind the scenes it would seem, (...contrary to what you might think reading the reviews, that I subsequently read - causing me even more fear), the airlines know CheapOair, they have genuine tickets and they only take that which you approve $ wise. So if all is well that ends well, I guess I am satisfied with the experience. Good flights, good customer service, system lets the team down.

They charged us $100 to change to the times we booked originally. THEN, the day before I’m set to travel they sent an email confirmation with my name spelled wrong. THEY CHANGED THE SPELLING, not me. To correct the spelling, they demanded $50 and were extremely pushy. When I said I wasn’t paying it, the agent said, “okay. Well let me call the airline back and see if they can lower that price for you.” (Which is weird in and of itself). I said, “no. Thank you, I did not make this mistake and I’m not interested in paying anything.”
He proceeded to bully me and tell me I couldn’t fly if my name did not match. And he said, “so what are you going to do? If you don’t change the spelling, you cannot fly.” (What business is it of his what I decide to do??!) I eventually got off the phone with the agent. I checked with the airline and we had made the correct reservation in the first place. My name was spelled perfectly fine. Had I known what I know now, we would have made a WAY bigger deal about our first encounter with them changing our dates completely. Name changes once tickets are issued, and past 24 hours require a waiver from the airline, and there is a fee to us for requesting this, and reissuing the ticket. Fee's are based on the airline! the added charges the customer mentions is for our service fee $10.60, and the $58.95 was for the insurance all added by the customer during the booking process. Today I booked a flight from Halifax, NS - Hamilton, ON with what was CLEARLY the listed price of 379.** - through the booking process I made sure to check the price for taxes and fees - and in the end it was 379.** listed after taxes still - so I put my credit card information in and booked the flight. As soon as the flight was booked the total changes to 425.**. This is ILLEGAL, first of all - but then upon calling your "customer service" (if you can really consider it that at all) to fix the pricing, I was told "this is not possible" with no solutions offered. I then asked to cancel the flight and was told it would be a $50 cancellation fee.
Naturally, I asked for this fee to be waived because of how FAKE your company clearly is with your pricing... which I KNOW can be done as I work in a call centre and it's literally the flick of a mouse and the entering of a few digits in a program and boom, a $50 credit is applied. It is not rocket science and no one can tell me it is not doable. I was told again "this is not possible" followed with no solution offered. I'd imagine this email will go to someone who doesn't care, but I must tell you - your company is disgusting. I am so shocked by the treatment today and I am ashamed to have booked through your website like a ** idiot.
I would normally never swear as I am a professional person, but considering your company is so unprofessional and unhelpful - I'm sure you wont mind either way and that it wont affect your conscience whether I'm upset or not. I know I'm not the first and I'm definitely not the last. Very, very shameful. Merry Christmas to you too and I hope you enjoy the extra 50$ on the ticket that you scammed me for, then had a call centre in India tell me "it's an airline fee". I bet it is. Must be nice to own a company that steals."
I have added screenshots of what the website shows you. You have to add in your payment information, You then book it and the price raises immensely. I do not have a screenshot of the original process, I only clicked into a different flight to get the ones below - but pretty disgusted and shocked that a total can say 379.** when you book with absolutely NO INDICATION that it will turn into $425.**. Is this not illegal?? Am I the crazy one??

CheapOAir is actually ScamOAir - Avoid this company at all costs. They will offer you insurance and trip protection and then tell you there is over 1500 in penalties for using the insurance you purchased.
Insurance does not cover change of plans, but is for medical emergencies, delayed bags, and flights. When you need to cancel a reservation and not medical related, you have to consider the airline refund rules, in which this booking had 5 people, and the refund fee was $250.00 per person, and was the airline service fee, and not CheapOair.

I booked a flight from San Francisco to Calgary on American Airline on December 17/2017. At the Airport I was told the flight check-in clerk that the flight was overbooked and I may get stranded. Fearing the worst I ask for a seat confirmation. I was not given one. I did not get a seat on the plane so I let. I purchase a different ticket from another airline to continue my business trip. On Christmas eve I phone CheapOair to relate my experience and to get a credit toward a future flight. To my surprise I was told there was no note left on the American Airline flight and my flight said suspended because I was a no show. I said that not true, but CheapOair said there is nothing they can do. I said thank you and I hang up. I will never use CheapOair again. I officially ask the office at work not to book any flights using them.

My fiancé talked to Nezbit and booked a round trip flight last minute for under $400. Nezbit helped also with reservations for flights for my son and myself to travel to San Francisco. My mother recently passed away. I was stressed about making two reservations, one for my son and one for me, with the same outgoing flight. After calling their cancellation department 10 times, finally my call was responded. But they said I will be charged $75 consultation fee which was totally wrong as I was within the 24 hr time frame. It is clearly written in their website that full refund for cancellation within 24 hour. After arguing for half an hour they offer me to charge less consultation fee and I ask what will be the amount. They ask me how much I can pay. I was like WTF. Finally I agreed to get robbed for $15. What a way to rob people? Be careful folks before doing business with them. Thanks CheapOair for asking me how much I can afford to get robbed.

- CheapOair.ca - after 12 am at the end of the booking day - You will not get anything (not even a customer service). (Now will you get lucky to speak to an agent before 12 am at night... is a BIG question - hint: probably not.)
- You will lose 250$ no matter what.
MY STORY: I made the booking at 10 pm on 22nd Dec at night for a flight from US to Canada on Jan 6. The next morning 8am I had an unfortunate news about a family member and could not travel. I called CheapOair at 9 am on 23rd Dec and THEY WOULD NOT GIVE A CREDIT OR CANCEL MY BOOKING. The argument is that when booking is made on CheapOair.ca - does not matter if you want to cancel the booking within 5 hr or within 10 hr or within 24 or within 48 hrs of the initial booking. THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU ANY REIMBURSEMENT WHATSOEVER. If you were to do a booking from CheapOair.com - they will cancel the ticket if called within 24/48 hours of the booking. On top of this nonsense, they blame it on Air Canada (when it's not even their fault).
CHEAPOAIR - DO NOT HAVE A COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT - which means they do not care to listen or fix a complaint. They will only forward the call to a supervisor, who will only repeat what the technician on the initial call said. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. You will get 309$ credit for the passenger who is travelling, but this is the CATCH: - Penalty of 50$ for cancelling with CheapOair. - Penalty of 200$ when you use the 309$ credit for rebooking another flight with Air Canada. All in all you only get 59$ that too if you were to book something with them again.
AIR CANADA - HAVE A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, will tell you truth and will be compassionate. They will actually try to do their best, but as you would know, YOUR MONEY GOES TO WHO YOU PAY - NOT TO THE FLIGHT. If I would have booked with Air Canada directly, I would have paid few bucks extra (20-30$), but I would get all of 350$ back.
We do apologies for the inconvenience Bijal experienced. The customer does have a credit to be used for future travel, and the airline penalty is assessed by Air Canada not CheapOair. So any fare difference and the penalty would be the same changed with us, or the airline. At this time we consider this matter closed, until customer provides documents for the other traveler to received a credit.

I've dealt with a few agencies to get flights for people and never had or been treated as yesterday. They knew there was issues. I called their customer service and all as paper states and they agreed to email all details and as I got back to check in at Delta it had been wiped completely out as a no show when we were there 1 hr 20 mins before boarding. All they did was take our money and didn't do nothing but cause a headache. Asked to speak with a supervisor and they wouldn't put them on because they didn't want to fix or refund what was taking. Will not use again and will move forward to make sure this doesn't happen to others.

I reluctantly went to CheapOair to arrange a Christmas trip to Phoenix. The website appeared to have some slightly better prices than competitor websites. This I later found was very deceptive. Our carrier was American Airlines and they were forced to cancel the first leg of our trip, ALB to PHL due to what they stated, was weather. I'm not entirely onboard with this excuse, especially since AA announced in November, that they had made a large mistake in arranging flight crews for Holiday travel. They solemnly pronounced that no passengers would be stranded due to the error. It's too much of a consequence that the first minimal winter weather moving into New England resulted in a weather delay. The major news sites made no announcements about weather related flight delays/cancellations.
We received notification via email and text message from AA directly as to the cancellation and were able to quickly reschedule the trip, although a day later than we planned. Today it's been nearly 24 hours later and CheapOair has YET to notify us of the cancellation. On our previous itinerary we would have been at the airport by now, only to learn that our flight was cancelled.
I called CheapOair to inquire about some compensation for the trip (a refund of the preferred seat charges, that I had to pay when we selected our alternate flight) and the CSR could barely speak English. They in-turn contacted AA to discuss our issue and the AA agent couldn't understand CheapO's CSR. They came on the line thinking we wanted to cancel our entire trip. We were disconnected and I was too furious to once again attempt to explain what I expected. I don't care for having to ask a CSR to 'speak up' or speak slower in order to understand them. I work in Radio and have excellent hearing and when I can't understand a non-english speaker, they CAN'T be understood by anyone.
Anyway in discussion with AA, we learned that it was incumbent on CheapOair to notify us of the cancellation and take the lead in getting us rescheduled. That did NOT happen. So reviewing the ticketing billing break-down it's abominable the extra charges tacked-on to the price charged. $200 for using their preferred seating folks, NOT the actual seat charges, but just paying their fee for the privilege of paying the airline for preferred seats.
The airline industry is out of control with these buried expenses. Fortunately I no longer travel on business but I have a hard time wrapping my head around 1) purchasing a ticket, then... 2) paying another charge for a seat AND then 3) paying another fee for my luggage. What am I paying for in the 'master ticket'? It's not like one can be a 'strap-hanger' on a commercial flight. Consumers are being subjected to blatant price gouging by hiding those additional fees in other categories. It makes NO SENSE to us. Just include the doggone seat fee and the luggage fee in the advertised price of the tickets.
CheapOair is exactly what the name says. A lousy and incompetent service that would have stranded us at the airport during the Christmas weekend. Never again CheapOair and never again American Airlines. I'm not buying their weather forced cancellation, conveniently stranding customers so they can avoid owning-up to their mistake with scheduling.

This company charges $176 as fees when you make booking with them regardless if you have an issue with the airline and you requested a ticket refund. In addition, they are big liars... And here is my story why: I booked a ticket overseas by phone and gave the agent another booking (booked earlier with them) and said give me a ticket exactly the same except the return date to be different (as I needed to tag to friends of mine traveling on certain flights). He ended up giving me a one way ticket and charged same as two way ticket and when I complained about it and requested they view the tape recording. I was promised by the agent that they will refund me the difference in a week time...
After 2 weeks called again and asked me to wait another 5 days... Finally they put to some manager who said we can't credit you anything. I disputed the payment with credit card company and here where I find they already booked their fees and according to the credit company this money undisputable. I recently decided to buy a bargain ticket to surprise my children for Christmas, after my long 3 month stint in the hospital in very cold Baltimore, I was eager to get home to Jamaica, I searched for my destination, put in my dates, and up pops the cheapest ticket you can imagine, like manna from heaven. Unfortunately after your experience with this company you might be tempted not to believe in heaven, maybe it is just a fantasy place like the fantasy ticket that I booked! You see after putting in my credit card details and booking my seat (oh what a great feeling that was) up pops up on my page, you are confirmed for December 25th!! I didn't book a ticket for December 25th! Why does my ticket say December 25th? Obviously I panicked, immediately tried to cancel my booking, but oh no you can’t cancel, just change your flight and pay the difference! A $600 difference I might add! Now I was furious!
I demanded they cancel it, after all I just did it 8 minutes before!! The "customer service" agent (although the use of the term customer service should not be allowed by this firm) let me know that he would refund me for a 15 dollar charge and to add insult to injury, he informed me that it may take 7-14 days for my money to be returned to my card! I guess I'll just send my children a lump of coal for Christmas instead of their mother! (To my agent's credit though he did try to get the refund date to be 3-5 days, but let's face it. 5 days is 4 days before Christmas and it's already hard to find a flight.) This site is a scam, they will take your money, earn interest from it before they return it to you, and force you to pay them for visiting it!
Buyer beware. Their website auto changes your date to the cheapest ticket no matter when it is, and you may only find out when it's too late! Then they will tell you they screenshot you while you were completing the transaction (clearly because this has happened several times before). Only thing it is in such small print you just won't notice! This one hurts! But I guess that's what I get for logging on to a place called CheapOair!
We have resolved this by offering the refund of our cancellation fee, and customer was not willing to provide any further discussion regarding this and disconnected our call. Alternate dates where booked for a cheaper fare, and we only offered to refund, or book the correct date for her, but dec 22 fare was way expensive than Dec 25, therefore declined our offer for further assistance,.

So fast forward to December 14 2017, 2 days before our flight, I receive an email from CheapOair that I should choose my seats as the flight is 2 days away. So I contacted CheapOair just to confirm what the agent told me on Nov 26 2017 at the time of booking. In a nutshell: they intentionally mess with your flight dates. I went through their website to book a round-trip flight from BWI to Tel Aviv (Ben Gurion). I made my flight dates November 18, 2017 and the return on November 28, 2017. After getting to the very end of the process, I noticed that my departure date was November 14. I immediately called their "customer service" department. The terrible operator insisted that I pay a $50.00 rebooking fee to "change" the date (mind you THEY CHANGED THE DATE, not mwah). I refused to pay the fee, and rescheduled everything on my end to the new (November 14) date. I got to the Baltimore area. Used my Dad's computer and printer to print out the Email from them so I could give that to the airline counter. You know the drill. The Tel Aviv to BWI return flight had then changed from November 28 to December 1, 2017!
Already knowing what customer support would try to pull ($50 fee for their change), I once again realigned my schedule to fit the NEW date. Had a nice time in Israel. Except. I showed up at Tel Aviv (Ben Gurion) airport, to fly with Air Canada on my CheapOair flight. The problem? CheapOair never actually changed my return flight from November 28th to what their email said - December 1. According to Air Canada, I should have flown on the 28th. And they refused to honor the print out of CheapOair which clearly showed December 1 as the correct date. This left me stuck in Israel. I had to buy NEW tickets (through Expedia. ps: they did great). 856 dollars. And get two more cab trips (120 each). Thanks to CheapOair, I'm out nearly $1500. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to book a flight through these ripoff jerks. NEVER AGAIN, CHEAPO.

WARNING: Beware of this company. Check, double check, confirm and have proof of the itinerary that you’re before hitting that confirmation/submit button. You may be very surprise to find the dates and/or destination you requested different to accommodate the low travel price. A few days ago, I spent several hours online surfing for a reasonable flight rate from Toronto to attend my nephew's wedding in Miami on Dec 30th. After checking several different travel companies and different airlines, I discovered that the rate of $445 + tax offered by Cheapoair was the most reasonable.
I decided to confirm an itinerary with Cheapoair. I bought tickets for my wife and myself travelling from Toronto on Dec30th returning Jan 2nd. Having spent all night surfing, I went to bed very relieved after hitting the submit button. I woke up to a nightmare with Cheapoair. While checking my travel documents the next day I found that I was connecting in Miami to Pensacola Florida on Dec 30th, with the same connecting flight on my return. I immediately called Cheapoair customer service to rectify the mistake. I was connected to a very rude customer service rep who insisted it was my mistake and there was nothing he could do to help. He informed me that my money was with the airline and they were the only ones that could assist me.
I called the airline Westjet only to be told there was nothing they could do, since I booked with a travel agency. After several subsequent calls to Cheapoair, I was transfer to a cancellation rep, [who was equally as rude] she informed me that my only resolve was to cancel my present booking at cost of $100 and re-book to Miami for a cost of $1100.00 each ticket. I informed her that doesn’t make any sense, I already have seats to Miami. I only need to cancel the 2nd leg of my flight. She informed me that it doesn’t work that way.
Not going to my nephew’s wedding is not an option. This kid has been very near and dear to my heart since his birth. My only option is to travel to Pensacola, rent a car, take the 10 hour drive back to Miami and do it again on my return. I’m a disable man, my wife is not in the best of health, thanks for nothing Cheapoair, you are very welcome.

When I contacted customer service I was told I need to pay $50 for each person including the infant which came to $150. This is a rip off as all the other travel sites like Expedia, Priceline, Travelocity etc. allow cancellation of tickets without any fee if done within 24 hours. This is to warn others to stay away from CheapOair.

I booked a flight with CheapO and discovered it would have been better to go directly to carrier for a lower rate. They overcharge and will never refund a penny. They wanted $50 to correct a misspelled name and relented only when I told them to cancel the booking (three minutes after making the reservation). Use their website only to research which airlines fly where you want to go, then book directly with airline... Don't use Cheapo!

My son purchased a flight through CheapOair on Black Friday 11/24/17. After paying for the ticket a few days later he was told that they did not receive all of the money and that he would have to pay an additional amount. Then when he was going to pay for his baggage on 12/10/17 realized that his ticket was for the wrong date. We call and they tell us that they can not do anything because the ticket is already paid for, it is past the 24hrs and with the airline. We were also told that the airline was the only one that could change the ticket. For a student in college that already does not have any money the least they could have done was eat the charge for the change. We believe that the person that called him to get the extra funds changed the flight.

Would never use this service again. First I booked my flight without any problems until it came time to choose my seats and found that CheapOair was putting a premium paid to them, not the airline for certain seats. There are seats you can choose for free, but I thought it was ridiculous for them to charge for seats the airline didn't.
Within 12 hours of my reservation, I needed to push my flight back by a day. Talked to their phone agent (actually second agent. First hung up on me when she couldn't understand my question), who did understand, found the right flight, and then informed me there would be a substantial change fee. So I asked to cancel the flight and was told it would be $150 to do that. Long story short, I ate the $150 cause it was cheaper to book with another online company than pay the change fee and the new ticket price I was quoted. The agent told me he had no leeway to waive the change fee or match that of another company. Lesson learned, won't be dealing with CheapOair anymore.

My daughter and I were trying to book a flight together so we could travel to a convention. We both went on CheapOair website and booked the same flights, and even picked our seats so we could sit together. After 2 days of trying to figure out what happened, and both of us, separately, talking with the airline, Cheapoair agents, and my credit card company, we ended up with one plane ticket booked in my daughter's name, but MY credit card charged. The airline had my daughters info and Cheapoair had my info. So we had 1 ticket between the two of us.
For all the hassle, we couldn't cancel. The best Cheapoair could do was refund me $11! The AIRLINE changed the ticket to my name, but after all the hassle, my daughter won't even consider using Cheapoair, and will get another flight. I now am flying alone and have hated this whole experience. Cheap? Oh yes, but by the time the airline added all their fees I had spent $133.95 MORE than the advertised price. What a rip off! NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Will not buy here again.
Gustavo, our apologies for the inconvenience. Our site is set up to provide flexible dates if they are cheaper than your dates you have requested. However, you don't have to click anything to avoid flexible dates, but you have to move down the flight availability page to bypass those particular dates. Our website does not change the flights you selected. We did offer to assist you with the changes, and the add collect is what the fare would of been for the dates you originally searched for.

They have no clear guidelines on the rules and just make it up as you go. I had to cancel and rebook one ticket due to some visa formalities. 1st thing they don’t have anything on website to do it, you need to call their representative on US number given on website. 2nd thing you need to pay $250 for each ticket cancellation to CheapOair apart from airlines cancellation fee. Which makes refund too low. Refund charges are insane and website is not user friendly when you need to make changes or cancellation. I will never recommend CheapOair to anyone and of course will not use it and WILL BUY FROM AIRLINES DIRECTLY for much better service and very low cancellation penalties.

We booked a one-way ticket for the 23rd of December. Immediately after we hit the confirm button, the itinerary that came up listed the departure date as the 25th. Incredulous, we both checked and double checked the original search dates and then the confirmation dates; the confirmation did not match the original, selected flight. We then immediately called the customer service line. They informed us that they had automatically changed our flight date because it was cheaper - and informed us it would be $94 to change the date back to the 23rd. We asked to cancel, and they again told us it would be $94.
By this point we were angry, and wanted to cancel on principle. The customer service representative said she was transferring us to the cancellation line; instead, the call was disconnected on their end. We called back again; this time we were told there would be no fee, but in the middle of the call, the representative suddenly claimed he could not hear us (despite a full signal bar on our phone and perfect call quality) and we were disconnected again.
So we called back...again. And were disconnected - again. We checked phone service on all three of our phones; the issue was definitely not us. To their credit, they did call us back, and we did finally get our reservation cancelled by a very helpful individual, although they did charge us $15. I've used CheapOair for flights and hotels in the past without incident, but this one incident was awful enough to outweigh all the previous ones. I cannot believe how terrible this experience was; I feel like the website changed our flight to attempt to nickel and dime us, and I almost suspect that the subsequent customer service was intentionally terrible in an attempt to dissuade us from cancelling. I will never use CheapOair again, and I will adamantly recommend to my friends and family to steer clear.

I was using this company to book my flights for few years. Just had an terrible experience with them where I have been charged for a flight that I never took. They have some kind of scam going on that if you bought the Deal tickets they are advertising and book specific dates they will send you so called flex date ticket of their choice. I have booked two round trip tickets like I did many times before and they send me itinerary for the wrong dates. After realizing what happened I have called to let them know that mistake have been made by them and the dates are not the ones I need to fly on.
Well let me tell you about the customer service, terrible, rude and very unfriendly. They basically called me stupid telling me that I need to learn how to read. I have tried to cancel but no luck. So needless to say that they basically took my money and give me a middle finger even to I have been a customer for very long time and spend well over 10000.00$ on plane tickets thru them. Never again. Be very careful with this company.

I booked flights to the Philippines in June for a flight in December. In August, I had an unexpected wedding with my now husband due to his mother being put in hospice. We wanted her to be there since she didn't have much longer. Around that time, my passport was about to expire. So, I decided to just do all the name change then, since I thought I would be saving myself from some hassle later. I finally got all my information changed and new passport in October. Therefore, I tried to change my name on my ticket. I sent in all my documents and paid the $75, which I guess is expected. Finally on Nov. 20th, I get an email saying that my request was denied. They were not able to change my name due to no more seats on the flight I had already booked... (Why does that need to happen? Why can't they just go in and change the name??)
They gave me the options of arriving early to go over the correction, or to cancel my ticket and purchase a new one. Alright... I still wasn't too worried. A few days later, I get a call from Korean Air about a plane change. Since I was on the phone with them, I decided to ask if they could just change my name real quick. They said they had no control over my name because the ticket was under CheapOair. I started getting a little worried thinking even if I went early, would they still not be able to change my name? So, I called CheapOair to ask why they can't just change my name. The guy I'm talking to tries to kill all my hope. He tells me that all I could do is get a refund and rebook a flight. Flights are now like $3000 each... so of course, that's not an option. I DO NOT have money like that. I had bought a flight for both my husband and I. Round trip for $1600.
So he says at this point, I could get a refund of $930.28, plus a cancellation fee of $250 per ticket (WHY IS THAT NECESSARY???). That would leave me with a $430 refund. The guy tries to tell me that this is my best option and I should do it NOW. If I wait later, I'll get less of a refund and in his experience, Korean Air is VERY strict and under no circumstances do they ever do a name change. That sounded just absolutely ridiculous to me. He ended up asking why I had to do the name change. So I told him the whole story of my late mother-in-law and ended up crying at him, especially since I hadn't seen my family in the Philippines for 8 years. Saving up for a trip on the other side of the world took a LOT of work and now when I finally have enough, he's saying I can't? Because of my name? That hurts. So he says he'll try to waive the fee if I try to cancel everything NOW. I think, oh he's nice... He's gonna try to waive the fee for me.
But I collect myself and end up saying no, because it seemed ridiculous to just give up right away. I wanted to call Korean Air to see if there was anything they could do. When I told him no, he was like okay bye and just hangs up on me. Oh... it was an act. Where's the humanity? So I call Korean Air and they're super nice. The agent I talk to ends up giving me hope again. I asked him why my name change was denied. He says they could change my name no problem, but they don't have control of my name because it's through CheapOair. But what I could do is call CheapOair and conference call Korean Air so they could change my name right then. I attempt this... When I call CheapOair again, this guy keeps giving me the runaround and putting me on hold. I kept trying to tell him how I could be the one to call them. I kept trying to explain what Korean Air had told me, how it was no problem.
Again he kept making excuses not to call Korean Air, saying it would take forever (There was no wait time anytime I called Korean Air), he kept re-reading the email that was sent to me about the denial, and he kept putting me on hold to talk to another department about the name change. As I was on hold, I ended up calling Korean Air and begged them to stay on the line with me as I called CheapOair. They said yes! So on that phone call, they go back and forth talking. I could barely understand them due to strong accents. We were back and forth getting put on hold from both sides. CheapOair ended up hanging up on us. Korean Air came back and gave me a rebook# saying I could get a new seat on the flight, no extra charge.
On the last call, I finally get off hold and he tells me that he will get back to me with an answer from the higher ups/airlines whether my request is approved or not. I now have 3 weeks before my flight. I am WORRIED. I feel like I can't even prepare for this trip properly, buying items that I'd need, because what's the use if they won't let me on the plane? Again, I can't spend extra money like that. Flying to the other side of the world has already taken a lot. I can't have all that just be for nothing, just because a selfish travel agency just wants some extra money. HAS ANYONE EVER HAD SUCCESSFUL NAME CHANGES WITH THIS COMPANY?

I searched for a pair of tickets on two specific dates, realized after I made the purchase the dates they sold me were not what I asked for. I called to try to get it changed, the representative told me that she would do so but charge me an additional 200 dollar fee plus approximately seventy dollars in a separate fee. I declined respectfully and hung up. She called back a moment later and said a discount applied to me and that I would not have to pay the 200 dollar fee, just the approximate seventy dollars. I asked for clarification, saying "so this is seventy dollars in addition to what I already paid?" She said "yes." So she charges me the seventy dollar fee, and I discovered she also charged me another 149 dollar fee when I looked at my bank statement.
Many, many calls to customer service resulted in people promising to call me back and not doing so, people instructing me to email them my bank statement and not replying or clarifying where they were with refunding my money - literally everyone I talked to said they would do something and then didn't do it. Eventually I spoke with a supervisor who admitted I was misled by the person I was on the phone with initially, and said he'd refund only 100 dollars of the overcharged amount if I provided him with every piece of information necessary for him to gain control of my bank account - my routing number, etc. I declined this. Don't deal with this company unless you want fraudulent charges on your card and no recourse.

I bought around 9 tickets from 2 different starting points for my sister's wedding. But CHEAPOAIR never notified me later on that those flights were cancelled by the airline. I got to know thru a third person about it cause she tried to get the same tickets. I had to call the airline to see if the information was right, it turned out that in fact some of my flights got cancelled. Thank God Avianca found ways to accommodate me with different dates, barely making it to the wedding... After that I call CHEAPOAIR to see if they knew anything about it (This was my second call to asked cause the first time I called them they didn't know), and still CHEAPOAIR was not aware... I had to tell them myself! I will never use this website again, the incompetence is too big of a risk for me and future flights. I warn everybody to be extra careful and call the airline if you use this website. They are not serious.
Complaint has been resolved, schedule change came to us and we sent to the customer 24 hours later.
