    I booked through them for my travels and upgraded for the flight although that was not correct, so basically I paid for 3 of the travellers and did not get the upgrade! When I tried to call customer service they just argued and said I read things incorrectly! Really the customer is not always right, but in this case I was and they choose not to honor it! Not cool on their part, I would never use them again, bad customer service!!!

    Spoke to a very nice lady the other night who confirmed with me 4xs the booking and cancellation process... 24 hours with no fees. Next day I call back to cancel reservation since it was a surprise for my husband and he didn't want to go. This time the representative was beyond rude, confusing, contradicting what the first women said and then disconnected me. I immediately received an auto survey and wrote my displeasure with the representative and company stating I would never use or recommend them and asked for a supervisor to follow up with me. They were also charging more than the airline was for the same trip. Read the fine print before using this company.

    I purchased two first class round trip tickets from CheapOair and had to change the date. When I received my confirmation with the new date change and almost $800 additional charge added to my original almost $4000 charge. My first class ticket had been downgraded to coach! I have requested this be corrected immediately. Waiting to see what CheapOair does. I made it perfectly clear the changes were only for date. I would never pay this amount for a coach ticket. Wondering how many others have had this issue and what the resolve was.

    Called in to the Customer Care line and was very happy with the service received. The website did not have an option for booking a 12yr old child. 1-11 Child and 16-25 teen were the only options so I was a bit anxious but the rep was very professional and courteous.     CheapOair pulled a bait and switch on me, at least in my opinion. For the last two decades my wife and I have made 1-2 trips annually to Europe, this is where I grew up. Now we live near a Delta Hub, so we fly Delta every time. Not because we are partial to Delta, but because it is the easiest way to go. As always when I book a flight I do my homework and try to find the best price. Over the years I have used just about anyone. I have booked directly with Delta, or through one of the many online travel agencies, i.e. Priceline, Travelocity, etc. I have always then gone back to Delta and purchased upgrades if I wanted, changed seats if I wanted, basically anything I wanted to do as long as I was willing to pay for it.

    Well, this time I decided to book with this fly by night outfit, I was without a doubt duped. Nowhere during the booking was I warned that this was a locked fare, no changes, no upgrades, no nothing. The 24 hour cancellation promise works as long as I am willing to pay $75 per ticket. So in other words, I could have made this a lot easier and just sent CheapOjoke $150 for holding my money for 2 hours. I have spent the better part of the day trying to get someone to help, but have gotten nowhere. Never again. Will be booking directly with Delta from now on.

    This was bad. Called and told guy I wanted to change to leave from Houston. It was also over 400 cheaper. He told me too bad that I'm close to the 24-hour point and it would cost me. So you guessed it. We will never use this place again. Never. And the guy was rude.     Me and my friend booked the ticket together. At first we booked the ticket from May 13 to May 17. However idk how it become May 17 to May 18 when they email me. I called them after that like 5 seconds. They told me I can cancel it and contact Spirit with 0 fee and full refund. Then I called Spirit to contact them. They refund me not full amount that I paid. I asked them the reason and they said the other rest CheapOair took it. I might have to call them and issue about that. I called CheapOair and they told me the ticket wasn't cancel yet. If I need to cancel they charge me 50$ with different customer service. I got so mad but I stay calm. I said I called them an hour ago and the ticket already cancel, and the guy said it gonna be full refund and no charge. The new customer service said but they just cancel from Spirit but not cancel from CheapOair. You still get charge when you cancel it. Then why don't the first person told me first.

    I told her to pull up the conversation that I called that guy earlier to confirm what he told me. She said she can't do that, then how can you guys confirm what customer service say to your customer. Also, they told me all over no fee and now they charge for fee. Now you don't want to give me money back because it was you guys change my date fly? Because It can't be that me and my friend both blind when we book ticket. It actually show on the web it is from May 13 to May 17 but how they changed it to May 17 to May 18 and told me to pay for that. What is the scam they tried to pull from me? I still have picture that I took and send to my uncle too. It was horrible experience. I swear in my life I will never book from them again. I'm stressing over the ticket that I booked. 50$ is nothing for some people but I'm college student. Also I either spend it on right way rather than feed this big company that change my date fly, and tell me a lie about policy refund.

    CHEAPOAIR worst company ever. On March 4, 2018 I have booked a ticket for my mother to travel on March 25, 2018. When I received the booking confirmation I forwarded directly to my mother. Guess what. They changed the departure date to the 27 of March. When I called to let them know that there were an error the guy said that I am the one who made the mistake and want me to pay an extra $300 to change the date. I am very disappointed because I reviewed 100 times the dates and the times before I submit and purchase the ticket. I rather pay an hotel for my mom to stay until the 27 than pay $300 to those thief. Will never book with them again and won't recommend to anyone.

    Today, I have talked for the 4th time during the last 30 days to the customer service. The problem is they charged me about $400 more than what I was billed! This happened before the flight and it is NOT related to the expenses during the flight or so... After transferring my phone call for 3 times, they asked me to wait 14 more business days... They promised it is going to be solved but I don't trust them. They promised me once that I was not going to be charged extra and I was...

    Therefore, I asked them to send me an email or so for evidences of their promise but they say my conversation is being recorded and it is a good evidence.     Consumer Affairs has to step in and audit their phony's book of this company. I canceled my flight with (because I had flu) already bought the protection flight cancellation plan, CheapOair wants to charge me almost 30% of my ticket value which they already charged my in upfront and they are going to refund my money back minus airline cancellation fees to my account after 2 months??? Holy cow. Do we live in LALA land. They are taking advantage of people so bad. We need to stop them!!!

    CheapOair overcharged me $735.9. On the 3/5/2017 I purchased 2 two way tickets. I left out my middle name on one ticket and called to have it changed which was done. The agent tried to sell me flight insurance but failed to tell me that the changes would attract a cost. A couple hours later I checked my account. The cost of the two tickets deducted. No issue.

    Two days after I checked my accounts and to my horror $791 was taken additionally from my account. I was transferred to billing where I spoke with Camille. She lacked empathy. She did not apologize even once for the company's mix up. She mechanically told me the refund would be done in 7-14 business days. She did not know when CheapOair would commence the refund process. I asked for a supervisor but was on hold so long my minutes was used up before someone came to the phone. This mix up literally left me broke 'cause all my money went to relocating to Japan. I never gave them authorization for that third payment. It was very unsettling that they had that kind of unauthorized access to my money.

    Booking was not priced against the competition. No reason for a $30 service charge, when other companies do not charge this such as Priceline and Travelocity. Was charged another $38 for time change on the flight, despite being in a 24 hour window and having Senior benefits (I was told I couldn't cancel, when in fact I could). Genders were mixed up on the reservation. I had to call every time I had an issue, but no email from your company confirming that I will receive credits for a double booking charge from SAS and CheapOair, $38 upcharge for change, $30 service charge. Spoke to Connor, Neal, Pryce, Kelly and others about the above issues. Must have spent over 4 hours on the phone.

As a 3rd party travel provider in order to do business we must charge a service fee for the processing of your plane tickets, 24/7 customer card. The airlines do not pay commission to travel agencies like they did back in the days, therefore our small $15.00 per person fee is our starting charge. The additional $38.00 you were charged for was due to you calling back and making a change to your flight. There was a cost difference and that we have to collect. We got your approval to complete the transaction, therefore we proceeded. if you were not satisfied at any time during this transaction, you had the option to cancel for a full refund.

    On the website it changes dates by itself. I didn't double check. They didn't let me cancel it and charge me more to change the dates after few minutes. I know Air Canada you can cancel it within 24 hours. I say to everyone don't use CheapOair. Their mentality is CHEAP and they don't help you but screw you instead.

    Navigating the website to book a trip is very user-friendly. You can also find last minute deals. I have used them several times due to the price deals or if you have to call you can understand what they are saying. They are very friendly and eager to please.     I had to call CheapOair three times to get an email about my reservation. I called first to change it and the never got a response with the change. The second call I tried to just get an email. After he said he would send it, it was never sent. The 3rd one I made them stay on the phone when it was finally sent. I also had a hard time understanding him and he had a hard time understanding me. It was a long process but I finally got it done.

    Judith, this reservation was booked online my your or someone for you on Feb 24. You should have received the 8 digit booking number at the end of the transaction. I do see that we emailed you the confirmation the same day, Feb. 24 but didn't open it until Feb 25. We also spoke with you later, because you called and made changes to the reservation, which incurred the airline change fee which I see was agreed to. If you still feel you have unauthorized charges, we certainly will be glad to further discuss this with you. We have sent another confirmation email, and it will have your 8 digit booking number on it.

    I bought tickets from Heathrow to JFK and back and this company added a huge sum of money that was undisclosed and was never explained. Just a figure pulled out of the sky doubled and added to the ticket cost. I personally will never use this company again ever as I booked exactly the same tickets myself via the British Airways app and the overall cost was less the half charged by this company. In future I will always book via BA direct and although there are charges added for both UK and US landing airports all these charges are fully open honest and above board.

    My daughter booked a flight. No 'clear' we will charge you $105 for this flight in addition to ticket price. The flight gets cancelled by airlines and no other flights leaving.     On Feb 19, in a hotel in Manila, PI, I booked a flight to Hue from Hanoi on the 26th, returning on the 28th. After I thought I had completed the booking, I noticed a message thanking me for being flexible in my schedule, changing my itinerary to going on the 28th and returning on March 2. However, traveling around the world, I’m locked into a flight to Shanghai on March 2nd. I called your 888 number twice on the 19th, using international phone minutes, only to have “Salvador” twice tell me the line was breaking up – although I could hear him clearly.

    The next morning, on the 20th, I had a now “clear” line and had several conversations with “Tyler”, beginning with the fact that I hadn’t called to change my itinerary within 24 hours... He finally was able to resolve the ticket issue and get me flights on my original dates – to Da Nang late on the 26th, forcing me alternatives of taking a $70 taxi to Hue or staying in Da Nang overnight. I acquiesced. Done? No, not at all.

    This morning, Feb 22nd, I received an email that my itinerary was changed. To what? When I attempted to review the change online, I was referred to a Web page that told me to contact you – again, an international call, instead of options from you in a personal email dialogue! You keep putting the onus on the traveler; that’s a peculiar business model... (My first grad degree was an MBA from a then top 20 business school.) That said, I’m tired of the time, money, and concern I’ve wasted with your policies and call centers.

    Today, I’ve arranged travel by other means to and from Hue; keep the money I wasted on working with you. What else? As a frequent world traveler, I consistently rate the Airbnb, Booking.com, and Viator guide vendors whose services I use. Starting immediately, my comments in every rating will include warning fellow travelers about dealing with CheapOair. Facebook and Twitter are fine venues, but comments I make will be more effective if directed at your target market. Any apology or personal compensation would be just that: personal. And I don’t need it. More importantly, going forward it wouldn’t change your organization’s overall practices, procedures and policies for me or fellow travelers. So don’t contact me ever again unless those change.

    I checked on their site and it gave me a price of 515$ for a flights. When I proceeded to book it, it had more than doubled. Tried two days in a row with the same results. I called them and they offered me a discount but the discount price they offered was more than booking directly with Air Transat which is the flight I was looking for. This site is a scam, it attracts people on the site with low prices but change the price when it is time to book. Never, never, never use this site.

    Updated on 02/22/2018: CheapOair has responded that they are sorry. I had a bad experience however it does not change the fact that the discounted price they gave me over the telephone was higher than the price posted by Transat for the same flight. I finally booked directly with Air Transat and I suggest that you do the same if you don't want to go through the same frustrations and want to make sure that you have no surprises.

    I purchased a ticket with CheapOair on Feb 11, 2018 for a departure on Feb 19 to Feb 28, 2018 including hotel stay. On the morning of Feb 14, 2018 I got bad news that required me the travel immediately. I called CheapOair within the 72 hours, but was told the ticket was nonrefundable. In order to leave the same day I had to purchase a new ticket. The agent never asked me if I wanted to change my return date. To change the return date another fee was charged. In order to cancel the hotel, another fee. The hotel was unavailable for my earlier arrival date. All said and done additional $ 815.- + new airfare. I ended booking my own hotel using a different website. They acknowledge my complaint, but I don't see any refund. Never again. Could have gone with full fare airline like Lufthansa or United.

    CheapOair did NOT provide update when my flight schedule changed thus causing me to miss my flight. I spoke to 4 different cheapo reps while standing at the ticket counter and each insisted my flight was still on time while the airline ticket employee continued to affirm that the flight schedule had changed (well before the current date) and Cheapo booked with wrong information.

    The 4 different people I talked to seemed to have no insight and one even sent me a screenshot of a dated flight schedule (note schedule - not current flight status). The airline was fantastic. Got me on a flight with a different airline, meanwhile all 4 cheapo staff people continued to insist my original flight was on time. I had even done the online check in 24 hours in advance on cheapo - not realizing they had NO CLUE about the actual flight schedule and I confirmed a bogus flight.

    I will absolutely never use this third party agent again. I had used them before and wondered at not getting any update for a delayed flight at that point - being that it was just delayed a few hours, not ultimate harm was done. However, this time, I nearly missed a very important event because Cheapo was selling tickets based on outdated schedules. The fact that they continued to insist the plane was on time despite me being on site and directly told otherwise by airline staff was completely unacceptable. They would do nothing to help (likely as they believed the plane was there). One offered to change my flight, but said I would be charged a penalty. I would advise patrons to check the airline flights directly and do not trust this company for flight accuracy. I will never look to cheapo for any travel support again and suggest buyer beware for anyone who does.

    I booked a flight for my son going from Edmonton to Kelowna, somehow I did not realize that connecting flight was the next day over 24 hours layover. Why would they recommend a 24 hour layover on a flight that takes a direct flight of 90 minutes. I called them within the minute to change and they quoted me exorbitant pricing hundreds of dollars higher than the airline was offering directly plus wanted a 50 dollars change fees.     I was booking a ticket through CheapOair when the page to select your own seating came up. I chose a seat on the map and saw that the price was 99 dollars just to select a seat. That is way too much money so at the bottom of the page I selected "no thanks, I don't want to select a seat". After that the website charged me the 99 dollars anyway and I never even got the seat that I had supposedly paid for. We immediately called CheapOair after booking to let them know we didn't want the seat. After making multiple unfulfilled promises a.ka. lies, to refund us first within 7-14 days and then within 7 days they finally have just admitted they won't refund us. They charged us more for each person even though there was only one change. The agent we talked to first lied to us and did not give us a cheap fare. They charged us 806 dollars on Feb 10. That day and today a week later on CheapOair we can get tickets to same location same day for 603 dollars. Therefore this company is very incompetent in dealing with airline prices. Also they cover their bases in the disclaimer section by showing how much they charge when making ANY changes - even if it’s within the same day or when it’s their choice.

They do charge for seat selection, and when I inadvertently selected a seat for a short connecting flight and was unable to cancel it, they responded very quickly and not only refunded the charge but kept the seat selection for me.     I tried to book on the same flight as my wife, but the website kept getting in my face with "alternate dates". I thought I had denied them all, but when I got my final booking, it was for the next day. I was livid. I never would have intentionally chosen that. I immediately called them to change it, they wanted $249 more for the "flight difference" plus a $50 service fee. The change they forced me into was only $95 cheaper! Could not get anywhere with customer service. Gave up. Booked my original intended flight directly through the airline for cheaper than the CheapOair flight, then called CheapOair back for the refund, which I finally got, sort of. They kept $50 service charge and $15 "penalty". As soon as it all goes through, I’m going to dispute all their charges on my credit card. They are hustlers and cheats and don’t save any money!

    When I went on their website to buy a ticket it forced me to add a letter to my middle name which was different than my passport. I tried numerous times to put one letter on my middle name as it reads on my passport and it forced me to add a letter in order to buy the ticket. I tried everything that I could to try to change this later on because it became an obvious problem at the airport and I explained that their 3rd party cheapoair.com forced me to add a letter and that they are responsible. All they can say instead this how it was my fault entirely for not changing something that they have company forced me to do and they offered no help whatsoever and went even went as far to say that I was making up the story of adding a letter which even a 3rd grader would understand that clearly was not the case and nobody would make up such a ridiculous story so when the essence they basically called me a liar when I tried to fix it later on.

    I made numerous attempts to try to change it and they assumed no responsibility whatsoever other than saying that to be safe I should buy another ticket which would have cost and me at last minute at least twice the price. To me this is a scam and of course this is my opinion but I am entitle to have one and the hope is that people will be in a position when they get to the airline and being denied and then they will have to buy a last minute ticket which airlines convention can 2 times the price or higher. Why would their system online force me to add a letter? To me the only explanation I could come up with in my opinion of course and subjectively speaking was in hopes that I would be denied at the airline and be forced to buy the ticket at a higher price.

    They talk to me on the phone as if I were a child and I was some stupid person that they could just boss around and they kept using scare tactics in order to need to buy a last minute ticket at a very high price which was the only thing they were offering due to do to help. I had all the documentation including my email address and the credit card and which I bought the ticket in all I needed for them to do was delete one letter and they did absolutely nothing to help me and then they just completely kept trying to insult my intelligence into buying another last minute ticket was their only solution to the problem. I am well aware of the laws of immigration and how tickets have to match and I am also well aware of the responsibilities I have to make sure of that. The last thing I need to be told was that this was my fault when their airline was completely to blame and they did nothing to help me whatsoever.

    Of course I did not buy another ticket because I am a smart person and I took all my documentation on my trip and I decided that I was going to take the rest which they told me is a huge risk and that chances are I will most definitely be stopped and not allowed to fly Again scaring me in to buy in another ticket last minute. Of course I continued to ignore them and I went on my trip anyway and in the end I was right and although immigration ask me questions I had all the documentation with me and they allowed me to complete my trip without buying another ticket. When I complained after my trip to the company directly again all they did was blame me and tell me it was my responsibility for the names don't match and they went on and on and on like I was a little child and they bared no responsibility whatsoever when in essence it was completely their fault to begin with.

    The smart way to handle it would be to apologize for the stress that they called caused me because I kept thinking I was going to get stopped in they could have at least offer me of rebates or some type of discount on a future flight which would have been no big deal at all that them to do and at least although I would have still been angry at least I would have seen that they were taking at least some responsibility. They took no responsibility whatsoever and they treated me as if I was in the 3rd grade and all they did was talk down to me and insult my intelligence and completely blame me in every possible way that they could and kept using pressuring tactics to get me to buy another ticket. I'm an extremely high intelligent person so I wasn't in on their scam in my opinion.

    I'm writing this review because I realized that not everyone has the same intellect that I have and that they fool a lot of people into buying a ticket last minute using scare tactics and I wanted to write this review so people would understand not to waste money unnecessarily as most immigration ports do not really pay that much attention to the middle name especially if you have supporting documentation. They instead pay more attention to the 1st and last name. Surely I could have been stopped by immigration but I wasn't although I was questioned. I will never forget the stress that they caused me though on what was supposed to be a happy leisure trip.

    I will also never forget how I had to jump through hula hoop so in circles in order to change something that would have been so easy to change and I had all of the documentation accordingly. I even tried to change the information for the 2 weeks I was on vacation which cost me a lot of money to be on the phone internationally and undue stress and they still did absolutely nothing to help me and just kept blaming me over and over and over again like I created this problem to begin with and they insulted my intelligence over and over and over again and did everything they could not to listen to me and kept suggesting for me to buy a last minute ticket because I would not be allowed through immigration. It is my right to have a subjective opinion and to say whatever I want to as an American in what I want to say is to me this is a complete scam and of course this is my opinion but I'm entitled to have one and that's how I feel.

    The only website that doesn't warn you about the fact that they have changed you itinerary while booking. They change the flight time and date without warning or blocking the process for you to accept the changes. They make you proceed for payments and once you get you confirmation... you get the changes. They charge you a 75$ penalty per ticket to cancel after a 5 min lap time or 100$ to rebook you on the same flight you had first selected. Nice scam! If you want to use their price match... good luck because they put rules to make you match the modified itinerary. They send you NOT your original/corrected itinerary. So the modified itinerary would need to have a price drop to get a credit... but it would be still be a wrong itinerary. Tricky!

So I call the airline myself and they told me I have to pay 600 dollar which 200 dollar per-person for change the tickets and that was it. There are no price difference for the tickets.

    So I called CheapOair back the next day; they still ask me to pay 1200 dollar again and still claim there are price difference on the tickets; so I finally call them the third time, and told them about this fraud they committed. Right away they told me there are fees to change my flight which they have stated on the website, and instead charge me 1200 dollar for change the return flight tickets now is 1037 dollar. I ask them how could they do this to customers. And now they just denied about want to charge me 1200 dollar, and now just 1037 which includes their 537 dollar change fee on top of airline fees. OMFG. Play people like a monkey!!!

    Couple of years back, I was in a rush to go to India with my family - When browsing over the Internet, I found one very economical cheap deal popped over my search engine. Then I rushed and booked the ticket. Then that has started my unimaginable experience. Once I book through their site, They would confirm after a long time. They have booked my return flight over CANADA (which I have not checked during booking), which I do not know that we should have transit visa to change flight in Canada.

So I found their service department is horrible. With the booking and service fees added I paid $990 to the agent on the exact same flights. That is $134 more than buying the tickets directly from Alaska Airlines. I guess I am confused that why people want to go through the agents.

    I want others to be aware that CheapOair is not a good place to purchase airline tickets. Since booking our flight in September 2017, we have received emails and requests to call them for (5) different changes to our flights. The latest one is now arriving hours later than our original flight. We called to complain, and ask what was going on with so many flight changes. The CheapOair Rep. said "Sorry, is there anything else?" Wow! Terrible customer service, and I do not feel as though I am getting the service I originally purchased. What a racket, once they get your money, they are done with you. Furthermore, the forums that I have read said it is highly unlikely that CheapOair will issue any sort of a refund.     I do not post experiences, good or bad, publicly. It takes more effort than its typical worth. This, however, was one of my worst experiences with any company, ever. I was not informed of my flight cancellation until I called to ask, due to weather. I knew flights were being cancelled from O'Hare prior to calling, and asked them to confirm. I sat on hold for a half hour to be told what I already knew, and was told my trip would be cancelled. I asked to clarify - was my flight canceled, or my trip? They told me both. Will this cancel my return flight? No, I'll still be paying for that. I told them I didn't want to cancel, I wanted an alternative flight.

    When requesting alternative options, after much pressing (they just wanted to cancel half my trip), I was given two- originally only one. One (first option) went through the same airport which canceled my original flight, despite my request to go through or to another airport; the other (second option, pulled like teeth) went through Detroit, which was also encountering the same storm and flight cancellations. The second of those had an upcharge of double the original ticket amount. I was obligated to take one or cancel my ticket and still be charged my return flight. I lost a day in my two day trip, and lost 2 hours arguing with a customer service associate who kept trying to cancel my ticket rather than actually look for alternative flights.

    I was frustrated, but ready to give up. I then received a third flight on my emailed itinerary, which was never mentioned on our call. I called back and encountered a second associate who argued with me, curtly told me I had been offered the third one on my ticket (I hadn't), and flatly refused to look into options to a nearby airport or through others. He cut me off, using my name, to tell me I was wrong.

    I wasn't. I had been offered two flights; neither were this third random flight. There was no reason for me to go to my destination, back, and then to my destination again in a two day stretch. I asked if he could check if a flight into a different airport in the area would help. He refused to help me other than take the third trip off my itinerary. He ushered me off the phone.

    I will never use this agency again. I understand there is a winter storm and options are limited, but there is no reason a representative should refuse to even look. I encountered two. I offered to sit on hold for an hour or two if someone needed time to look into it, and was refused. They could give me a call back in 24-48 hours with options, I was told. I commented my trip would be done in 48 hours. My original flight had been scheduled for about 10 hours out at that point. Would I be charged even more at that rate, missing several flights (let alone my family wedding)?

    I believe, given my second encounter, that the first representative put in my file that I was difficult because he was unaccommodating from the moment he pulled up my booking number. I never breached the topic with either of them, but if you're using an agency, I'd imagine that's the representative's job to at least look at options. I guess I can take some blame in trying to trust a company called Cheapo, though. To some degree, I got myself into this mess.

    Don't believe on the free cancellation hoax. Only Expedia cancels for free. Made a booking 4 hours ago, booking number **. Called CheapOair to cancel, the first agent passes on the call to another agent. Another agent comes on the call and asks a list of security questions which were promptly answered, and then the agent asks the reason for cancellation to which my honest answer was the trip was clashing with my other trips. The agent then says, "Sir you will receive $836.64 back on your credit" but CheapOair has a service fee of $75 for this cancellation, I was shocked and tell the agent I am calling within the 24 hour window.

    The agent says, "Sir, I will walk you through the rules" when I refused to hear further, the agent says, free cancellation is only for reasons like getting sick or something like that. When I ask the agent to either hang up or pass the phone to the supervisor, initially I was refused, when I pushed further, I was put on hold for nearly 15 minutes, then the same agent comes back and says, "Sir, I my Manager is busy, however I had a word with him and you will the charged only $35 for this cancellation". Oh great, CheapOair is doing me a favor after spending tens of thousands of dollars over the years. Long story short, CHEAPOAIR 24 HOUR FREE CANCELLATION IS NOT FREE, IT COMES WITH A FEE OF $75, SO EVERYONE OUT THERE, BEWARE!!!

    I had several awful encounters with this company when booking my honeymoon. After booking and confirming all of our flights through CheapOair, the airline made a major change in one of our flights. It took far too long to get an agent on the phone to fix it. They finally agreed to book one of my 4 flights on a different airline. I checked my itinerary a few weeks before leaving and despite being assured I was all set, CheapOair had never actually confirmed my booking with the separate airline. It took hours upon hours of being on hold and talking to several agents to get it fixed. I was only offered pennies as compensation for their mistake. Assuming the original flights I had booked were all set, off on our vacation we went. It turns out CheapOair had never actually confirmed ANY of our flights. At no point were we able to check in to any flight online and were forced to wait in long lines at every single airport due to their mistake.

    On top of it, when I complained via social media I received an email asking when a good time to call me to "reach a conclusion" was; when I replied to that email I received an auto-message telling me that was a non monitored inbox. (Not sure why they would tell me to respond to an invalid email other than just not caring about complaints or customers.) I then forwarded my response and the original email FROM THEM to their main email address.

    I received a rude response basically stating that they had already fixed the problem so why would I need to talk to them again. This is after they asked me when a good time to talk was! And, the problem wasn't even fixed! I was still not able to access or confirm any of my flight details online. It's very scary when you are traveling for 2 weeks and don't know if you will be able to get on any of your flights. This is hands down the worst experience I have ever had. Absolutely DO NOT USE CHEAPOAIR unless you want to add stress, hassle and rude customer service to your vacations!

    The majority of reviews for this company express fraudulent business practices. DO NOT engage them. Unauthorized changes in flight reservations on their end, "cancellation insurance" that is for them but not for the airline, "cancellation insurance" that is ONLY for natural disaster, you're not told up front that you have to pay extra to have a seat, changes in flight at the last second requiring you to pay more if you still want to go on your trip, etc. Your itinerary doesn't show until after you've paid... and can be wrong.

    Calling to correct it results in several hundred dollar "change" request even though it was made within a minute and was their problem. I'm assuming this is an algorithm meant to defraud consumers such as with some online companies when you select items to purchase the "number of items" column can autofill and it's up to you to notice and correct it. Calling them is an exercise in unlimited patience; they "don't hear you" resulting in repeating yourself a dozen times. Convenient language barrier. Definitely caveat emptor.

    I booked a trip but for some strange reason the date moved and after confirming it I realize that I had the wrong retirement date. I also had purchased the insurance for my trip and it also stated that you can have a 24 hour cancellation. After noticing the mistake I called to cancel my appointment within three minutes of making the appointment and I was told that there will be a $100 fee to cancel my appointment. I went on to explain to them that I just made this appointment three minutes ago and it states that you can cancel within 24 hours. They follow to tell me that yes you can cancel but there is a $100 fee. When you make a reservation and ticket has been issued, and later call to make changes, you are going to see the original charge there, and you receive a new charge for the new booking. It looks like you have been double charged, but the original charge falls off within 48 hours or according to your bank. We understand it can be an inconvenience, but that's just how the billing goes when changes are done.

    My wife tried to book from CheapOair. She put her name from her passport as passenger (maiden name), and on billing part put her credit card name (married name). When she confirmed, she noticed that her name was wrong on the ticket (her married name.) It said that just call the 1888... number to correct it. When we call that number, first of all the person we spoke to was rude, no compassion, even I told him the reason of flying is bereavement. He keeps on blaming us that it's our mistakes and will charge us for correcting it.

    It was a very stressful back and forth conversation. Not a single condolences from him. I ask for supervisor or manager. Same thing, for a simple correction of name he gave me a hard time and tried to rip me off with extra charges. After couple of hours of trying to fix our issues I end up getting our booking simply canceled. They could have done it in the beginning without hassle in the first place and we can just rebook it. I would never ever use CheapOair at all anymore. Neither one of them mention any condolences despite me letting them know the purpose of flying is bereavement. They like not human at all. No compassion. Never again. We end up getting ticket from agency instead and deal with real human being. Not to mention, they promised to send email about the cancellation of booking and they never did!

    I purchased 6 Tickets to bring my family from Puerto Rico to New York. As we know they have been devasted by the storm. I need to correct a name by just removing the middle name and they want to charge me $200 to do this. I spoke to JetBlue and they said I shouldnt be charged because it's a quick correction that can just be done on the JetBlue Homepage. JetBlue even lets you do a correction just once for free. I think it's horrible that I have such a simple request and they want to take advantage and charge me almost the cost of a new ticket. I called and asked for a supervisor and they said there is not one on site... How is that possible? So I was told I would receive an email regarding the problem, this is beyond me.     They have no consideration for anything. I had to print an itinerary for my job to ask for vacation, which I need before they give me permission. They flat out ask you for REQUIRED fields which includes your credit card number and all. I just wanted the itinerary to get permission first, but after I realized that the money got withdrawn right away I called immediately to cancel it. And to my surprise I'm hit with a 50 dollar fee for the cancellation right after I canceled it and now I have to wait 3 to 5 business days for my money. Ridiculous.     I wanted to schedule a flight to New York for 3 days. I had difficulty as it was on a holiday weekend, so I used this company, first time. I was willing to fly into Kennedy or LaGuardia, but while trying to find a good price at the times I wanted to depart and return, I missed the fact that it was arriving at an out of state airport. I called to change the flight, hoping I could. They were happy to, and during of the course of our conversation which lasted almost an 1 1/2 hrs. (a lot of it on hold), the price for the only flight he could find for me went up twice and I was arriving later the first day than I wanted, practically losing a day in New York for more money. I said it was way too much, but he pushed and said I could cancel in 24 hrs, neglecting to tell me there was a $50 charge. (If I knew this, I wouldn't have agreed).

    The next day I called to cancel and was informed about the $50 charges. They tried to find me another flight, but I have already been soured by this company. I may have just lost $329 (flight plus cancellation charges). I guess I will not be going to New York as I can no longer afford it. The friend I was meeting there is very disappointed as well.     I made a reservation with CheapOair. When I was making the reservation the words Free Cancellation popped up on the page. When I received email confirmation, I noticed I had made a mistake. It is not possible to change the reservation online so I called to make it. When I got that confirmation, they had charge me $50 for making the change and $9 for a baggage protection. They said that was their policy when changes are made but that information is almost impossible to find on the website. So I cancelled the whole transaction and then they charged me $15 for the cancellation. Needless to say I will not use CheapoAir again.

    We put the dates that we wanted in the website like you do for any travel site or airline and the rates came up. We picked the lowest one. When we checked our confirmation the flights were for a different date that is no good for us. This is very deceptive. Now going through the motions with Cheap and Spirit Airlines to get things changed. Of course they will change it for three times what we paid for the tickets. Looking back at the site, there is a small green bar saying to pick these alternate dates for savings. I wonder how many people they have snookered with this ploy?

    I booked a ticket in a hurry as it was a very low fare and I did not check the details on the site regarding the cancellation fees. I was under the impression that all US travel agencies have a free 24 hour period. Anyways when I went to cancel within 24 hours, I did a quick Google search and quickly realize the fees so knowing the fees, I had mentally agreed to pay them so I called to cancel.

    The Indian scammer on the other end claimed that the cancellation fee was $100/international ticket as I had acted dumb, then he goes on hold to try to get me a discount and comes back with saying he will give me $25/discount so it's $75/ticket which was the original fees. Then after negotiating a bit more, he agreed to do it for $60/ticket and then a bit more for $50/ticket while going through the process, he then offered to do it for free. The thing is that it was a mistake fare and it would have gotten cancelled a couple days later anyways. I would never ever again book anything from this site. There are many reputable sites that actually are customer friendly.

    I purchased a round trip ticket from Manila to Hongkong last November using my credit card. I know I made the right decision of choosing CheapOair because of good reviews. I was complacent enough that everything is good. The day of my travel came and upon reaching the check in counter, the personnel told me that the booking was reversed and CheapOair reverted back the amount 10 days after my booking. I said it was impossible because my credit card provider usually sends an SMS when there is an activity on my credit card. I ended up paying the whole amount again.

    Although CheapOair had refunded the original amount but it is still big disappointment especially if you are on a tight budget, one more thing, what I paid was not the same amount that was previously deducted. I frequently used third party booking agency because it is cheaper and I have no problems with previous agencies only through CheapOair.

    I booked a flight with CheapOair, I have used this company prior to this booking. I made an error and contacted them 30 mins later to make changes. These changes were made, then I received an email saying they had made an error and overcharged me $US150 and this may 14 days to be returned to my credit card.

    I also booked a seat online seat and was charged $Aud 39 which is more expensive than Qantas. I waited for seat confirmation and telephoned twice and was told that it was being processed and will hear in 30 minutes on both occasions. I telephoned the next day and was then told that my credit card had been rejected. I called Qantas and they informed me that the seat had been booked (go figure?)

    I checked my credit card yesterday and found that the $US150 had been returned but in addition to the ticket price of $AU 695.94 I have been charged two fees of $US 59.01 and $US 14.95. I booked my own ticket through Qantas and saved money the ticket and seat price was much cheaper. CheapOair will never have my business again. Think long and hard before you decide who you book air tickets with?

    My husband and I booked a flight to Crete in May, 2017. The booking came in several pages and my name was not on the front page so I did not notice that there had been a typing error in the spelling of my name until September. My husband's name is David ** and my name is Gillian **, but the spelling on the booking form was **. It became a huge issue, I was asked to forward my birth and marriage certificate to the waivers department. The waiver was refused. It cost me $1700 for a new ticket. I was offered reimbursement for the first ticket with a $250 reduction. The reimbursement only came through at the end of December.

    Also in order to travel with my husband from Athens to Crete, I paid an additional $200 otherwise wait 9 hours in Athens airport. CheapOair could have contacted Aegean Air and asked them to rectify the spelling as apparently this was the reason they could not change it. On its website there was even a place to do this. I however was helpless to do this myself. It was very obvious to everyone who saw this booking that the spelling was a simple typing error, the E is next to the W on the keyboard. To conclude what should have cost $1114 cost $1270 plus a great deal of stress and aggravation.

    When you are browsing for flights and hoping to secure a good rate, it is humanly possible that you can get confuse. I completed all the required fields for my flight to Manila and printed the itinerary. As soon as I reviewed my details, I was petrified. I had 17 and a half hours in Hong Kong before the next connection. I then immediately called Cheapoair for assistance. The agent retrieved my details, 2 flights were available, one at 6pm and one at 10pm. I was asked for $600 to change my flight. I was shocked. No compassion nor leeway to take to consideration of working again in the future.

    I then tried again in the evening and another agent came on the line, not checking any flight possible, he said $250 to change the flight, $5.00 if I would like baggage insurance. $75.00 for cancellation and not guarantee full refund after 24 hours. I understand that it's business but don't make your client feel stupid because I went on site and the PR flight to Manila at 6pm and 10pm were available. This was not a good experience at all.

    I booked my flight with this company. Got protection plan because I knew that military flights coming back in country can be early or late. I got back in on Thursday night. My flight wasn't until Sat. I was told I would have to purchase another flight or pay $240 to change. Then file a claim. As a active duty service member I'm having to sleep in airport for two nights. When I looked up flights flying out they weren't 200 dollars. This is crazy. What's the purpose of protection plan. I talked to the lady at the protection plan place.     My wife and I planned a trip to go from Reno NV to Toronto Ont Canada for a wedding. I have never used a travel agency before and won't again after this experience. Booked our flights 4 months in advance. Paid for Extra legroom seating for both of us. Paid for flight insurance. When we got to the airport we were told that we do not have the seats we paid for. I showed the agent the receipt showing the seats that I had got from CheapOair. Agent said sorry that's not what they have. So we both ended up in different seats in different sections of the plane. So much for travelling together, When I got to Toronto I called CheapOair and was after a 20 minute wait got to a agent. I told them what had happened. Then the agent hung up. I called back and got another agent and as I was telling them the issue they hung up again so I called a 3rd time, I immediately asked for a supervisor. They said no supervisors available.

    So after telling this agent what happened and how I was hung up on twice before I provided them with my cell number and asked if we get cut off to please call me back. They said ok. Then I got hung up. So I waited for the call back and they did, so good on them right! As the story goes they cannot access the booking information from my airline which was Air Canada and they cannot help me. They have to put in a request via AC website and file a incident report. As I was going through all this, I got a message alert from my MasterCard on my phone saying a charge was placed on my Card from CheapOair in the amount of over 2800.00 So as I'm on the phone with the guy from CheapOair I say to him why has my Card been charged this amount just now. He says it can't be, So I give him the information and someone charged my card, OMG I was beyond upset now.

    So here I am at the airport on the phone with CheapOair as my card is being charged this money after they screwed up my seats and charged me for it. So I asked the agent to refund that charge and find out who did it and why. I also demanded my money back for the seats we never got. I never found out who did it or why only it was credited back as well as my fees for the seats we never got. They will try to sell you flight insurance, DO NOT PURCHASE IT!! IT'S SCAM! On my return back from Toronto I was held up at Immigration and missed my flight. So I sent in a claim and it took almost 3 months for it to get processed only to be denied, REASON You're not covered if you're held up by customs, and I specifically asked that question when I purchased the insurance from CheapOair. Guess what again, CheapOair will not do anything. Do NOT use this company.

    Five booked flights from SFO to ITO Feb.18 - Feb.25. You have asked us repeatedly to give you an evaluation of the booking process of our flights. We had extreme difficulties with CheapOair in making a small middle name change on our daughter’s ticket. For a simple addition of the extra middle name of ** to our daughter's ticket (within the 24hr change possibility), we were told that it would have to be re-issued and would cost from $129. to $50. to $79. (with different agents in India). Calling Hawaii Airlines did not have better results, we were referred back to the Booking Agent. We were also told that they would have to cancel all reservations and issue new ones at higher cost. We liked the departure and arrival times since we were concerned for our grandchildren's sake and therefore persisted to keep the reservations.     I purchased 5 tickets going to Europe. The first one was bus service and other two plane service. At first the travel time was supposed to be around 11 hours going to and 14 coming back. It looked great considering we will be traveling with 3 young children so my husband & I booked it. Two days later, there was first change made to our ongoing bus service. It'll take us extra three hours so 14 in total but it wasn't too bad going to. I agreed to the change. Another change came 14 days after the purchase and this time it was for the return bus connection. We have to wait 7 hours for it totaling it for 20+ hours travel with 3 small kids!

    After being on a phone for more than 3 hours and not getting any better options, I asked for a full refund. I was really mad that my flight can change significantly like this within 14 days. I do feel like the tickets were miss advertised when we purchased it and CheapOair knew about these changes from the beginning. I am waiting on a full refund that I was told might take 1-2 billing periods. I do regret buying these tickets from travel agency like CheapOair and not straight from AirCanada. Lesson learned! I will not be using CheapOair ever again and would not recommend them at all!

    Unfortunately airlines undergo changes in their operations all the time, and as travel agencies, we have no control over these changes. As an agency, we are to provide you with the information that has been passed along to us by the individual airlines, and at times there can be several changes prior to travel. We understand this is an inconvenience! airlines have total control over the schedules they offer, and the refund time frame. Ultimately, the refund comes from the airline, and not the agency, and there is a process for refunding airline tickets and it does take 30-60 days. Sometimes it can be quicker, but it all depends on the individual airline.

    They changed my departure dates. I wasn't able to catch it sooner. Requested for a copy of my telephone booking conversation but they always play delaying tactics. One day they will say wait for the email with 24-48hrs, and once that passed, they would then promise to call me back, but always with no result. If there's no error on their side, why can't they have me listen to my tele-con booking?? This booking #** cost me an additional $4166.12. My children were sick, the 15 hour layover time was torture. I agreed to pay less than 4,000 for a flight back on Jan. 4 with less than 3 hour connecting flight. They screwed me up and we had to chew the bait because the date I wanted had only 2 seats left.

    Very disappointed with CheapOair website. I purchased my ticket and paid $58 for my seat, I chose the seat that I wanted (aisle) and completed the transaction. After 24 hrs they sent me an email stating that my seat is confirmed and it's not even the seat that I pick. Call them up to change it and still not getting the seat that I wanted. I'm very disappointed! Never again! I will never going to use CheapOair for any of my travel.

    Hi When I put in my address and country I expected the cost to change to local (AUD) dollars. Nowhere on the checkout pages was there any indication that the costs were in US dollars (or AUD for that matter). Had I known that I may not had booked as there was no financial reason to use CheapOair over the Malindo site direct. In the end it proved much more difficult as I had cost queries etc and calls from my bank as the amount was debited in multiple amounts and in US dollars triggering the banks software (The cost of $ Conversion thru me for a while and I thought I was being scammed). Will I use CheapOair again? Probably but I will be a lot more careful in the future and compare prices a lot more closely. Am I happy with my CheapOair experience? On a scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is great I would have to rate you a 4 (Sorry but that's just the way it is).

    These guys are running a scam, they offer better prices if you call them but charge you under your nose extra charges. When you demand to cancel the ticket as they cheated you they charge you another $250 for any ticket you want to cancel. Never in my life did I encounter such a dirty trick.

    I purchased a ticket on October 23 from my mobile device. Their website does not work well on mobile devices. I had the wrong flight. I called the next day. I had a conversation with a man that I needed the later flight. He put me on hold, to 20 minutes later I was told it was handled. Day before the flight I check in on the internet, flight was not changed. I called customer service. Told them about my situation. They would not help. I did not use the ticket. I called CheapOair. Asked to speak with a supervisor. They said they needed a little time to figure it out, haha. 6 weeks later I had learn nothing. I call them.

    Two weeks later finally I talk to a supervisor. She used intimidating tactics on the phone, never let me finish a sentence, constant raising her voice as she interrupts me while I am explaining. They state I never called them to change the ticket. They also told me they called me several times but I never answered. However, they called me once and left one message... NO REFUND. Their customer service is from India. They are terrible and they are pathological liars.

    I hardly write reviews so you can imagine how pissed off I am that lead me to do this. I booked a flight for my 70-year old mother in April of 2017 for a Swiss flight from YYZ-ZRH-NBO. A few weeks prior to the flight Cheapo contacts me with a change, to add an additional stop-over in MTL. The flight which had one stop was now scheduled for 2 stops. I asked for an explanation but was told those were instructions from Swiss, not satisfied with their explanation I called Swiss only to be told that was not the case and the direct flight is still available. Cheapo had taken the liberty of making their own changes!

    The Cheapo agent insisted I change my flight and that I had no other option, I opted to change the date instead or compensated for the additional stopover, the agent was rude and told me I would incur additional penalties if I were to cancel the flight. Feeling like I had no choice I agreed to their terms. For those reading this I hope that you will consider my bad experience before you book a flight through CheapOair. I guess you get what you pay for! CheapOair you have lost a good customer and I will make sure your horrible service is well known on every review site I come across.

    We booked a non-stop single flight ticket, but later found an extra letter in the name. We contacted CheapOair for a name correction. In their first reply, they said my name change request was denied since there are multiple airline involved, and change in my name will impact my other flight. I told them that was untenable, and asked them to check with airline again. CheapOair never replied again even though I kept sending email to the agent who was taking care of this case. Her name is "Samantha **". Remember this disgusting agent and the disgusting CHEAPOAIR.

    I have cancelled on Dec 31st of 2017 this round trip flight I have purchased with CheapOair due to physical issues. I have scheduled this trip beginning on Jan 8th of 2018. Today is the 8th and I have called the airline company to make sure my ticket was really cancelled but they have not been notified. The airline can't cancel the ticket because the notification has to come from CheapOair directly.

    When I cancelled on Dec 31st, I received an email saying the round trip was indeed cancelled. I called this company again yesterday to confirm but the CheapOair agency's representative said he can't help me because I should talk directly to the same representative I talked before on Dec 31st whom is located in Ukrania and I have to wait 24 hours... What?!! I begged this representative to confirm the cancellation, and finally he did, but he can't send me anything in writing... Update: 27 hours has passed... and nothing. Why CheapOair didn't notify the airlines about the cancellation 8 days ago? Today, a few hours before the departure, the airlines can't cancel my ticket and they probably would have empty seats... This is very irresponsible and unprofessional!! Does the agency keep their commission if the ticket is not cancelled with the airline?

    This is a horrible travel agency. For $478 ticket, they charged me USD 100+119 and USD 100+119 in penalties and fees for changing the flight. The actual difference in ticket cost was only $34. When I asked for the detailed invoice they asked me to ask find at other place. Also, I clearly told them that I do not want to be their customer and want to clear break-off. Apparently, it's not possible. The manager said that I need to directly talk to airlines company to be able to break a contract with them. They will not provide terms & conditions, which says customers have no right of cancelling transactions with. Then invoices doesn't actually show what they are actually charging for. HotAir charges less than $40 in change of flight whereas, this agency is charge $219 in penalties and fees. The CustomerCare people were highly non-cooperative, shady, and non-transparent.

    Updated on 01/17/2018: The CheapOAir agent has called after writing a review here about my experience. He has apologized for the multiple phone calls and hours of waiting that I had endured. Also, apologized for not being clear with the penalties and charges. He has removed $100 from the $200 CheapOAir agency fee.

    I will never use CheapOair again. Even their name predicts problems: Their systems do not interface properly with the airlines. They make gross mistakes. They leave you hanging on the phone, for literally hours, with no contact with an agent. However, their agents are well trained and emphatic, which makes a terrible experience a bit better. The details follow, but they only substantiate these facts.

    I booked a marginally better itinerary than I would have thought to do on my own, because CheapOair used an airline pairing I didn't think of. I made a mistake and forgot my wife's middle name on the reservation; bad on me. I called the customer service number listed on the validation screen to correct the booking.

    Both airlines have my Known Traveler number and our frequent flier numbers. CheapOair had me enter them again. I paid the $15 extra fee to select seats, which both airlines would have let me do for free on their Web sites. The first airline had no seats in the fare class CheapOair booked. Given I had to select seats, I selected the only coach seats available, which CheapOair charged an upgrade for, but the airline would have allowed me to book for free as a frequent flyer.

    To add insult to injury, CheapOair charged me for the seats (incorrectly) twice: $135. At check-in, the first airline had neither my Known Traveler number nor our frequently flyer numbers. Also, the airline knew I was incorrectly charged for the seats. The check-in kiosk displayed, Apply for a refund. I asked the agent. She said, "Yes, you have been overcharged." As directed, I applied for the refund online using the airlines site. Naturally, the airline says, a ticket made through a travel agent can only be refunded by the booking agent. CheapOair says the airline got the money; the airline must provide the refund. I think CheapOair is right, but that doesn't get me the refund and leaves me in the middle with both parties saying go to the other.

    Except for the missing Known Traveler number, missing frequent flyer numbers, and being overcharged for the seats, the outbound leg worked well. The return was a different story. I checked in the night before the flight. My check-in worked fine; my wifes reservation was missing. I called the airline; my wife's reservation was canceled. I called CheapOair; it was canceled but rebooked; they gave me the airline confirmation number and a ticket number. It was midnight; I waited to check-in my wife the next morning. Naturally, I couldn't check her in. It took a while with the airline to figure out why. Sure enough, my wife had a ticket, but it was an open ticket with no reservation!

    My wife called CheapOair. It took a half hour to connect to an agent and then another half hour for CheapOair to figure out that the flight I had already checked in for was now full. The agent said he need to call the airline. My wife waited on the phone 2 hours without as much as a word from the agent. (A cynic would think this was a call center trick to get you to hang up) When the agent came on the line, he said he needed to call the airline. We have no idea what he did the previous 2 hours.

    Two more hours (5 plus hours from the beginning of the call)... I know these kinds of reviews are filled with hyperbole, this is fact... the agent said, "All I can do is book you (my wife) on another airline, 6 hours after the original flight." I asked the agent if we went to the airport and the original airline would sell us a ticket would CheapOair pay for the ticket, regardless of the price. He said, yes. I asked him if he would hold the new airline flight reservation until we went to the airport and tried to get the original flight. He said, "How long"; I said a half hour; he said he wasn't supposed to, but he would. We went to the airport.

    In less than 15 minutes, an agent for the original airline, hearing (part of) our story, gave us a seat on the desired flight, and put us in adjoining seats. The CheapOair agent did call in a half hour; we told him the airline reinstated the original ticket. Bottom line: a miserable experience, caused by inferior systems; little, if any, formal communications protocol with airlines (nothing equivalent to what an actual travel agent employs), subpar operating practices; customers left to resolve CheapOair's mistakes because they can't.

    Just less than an hour ago, I booked a flight from Japan to China for $X dollars and as soon as I realized the flight originated from another airport one hour away and required one stop, I quickly tried to cancel as the website says free cancellation. I had to call their toll free number which was really designed to put canceling customers in a press '9' to continue voicemail hell! Finally had to press another new sales number to get connected to an agent who then tells me there will be a $50 charge for cancellation! Um, not going to argue with this shady company. Stay away.     I used CheapOair a number of times. Previous times were good but the last one time was a very disgusting experience so I'm sharing so others can beware of their scams. I made a hotel booking for a room with 2 queen size beds for 3 nights, for 2 adults + 1 baby. On the website the price was $120/night. At checkout, it showed: $120x3 + $60 tax + $60 Extra Guest = $480.

    I didn't select Extra Guest (at least not knowingly) so was surprised by that. I then checked around the page to see if it was an option to turn off but couldn't find any. We were also in a hurry so I decided to go ahead thinking it was the way the hotel works. When we arrived at the hotel, I asked the manager why they charged Extra Guest and they said it was charged by CheapOair, not by them. The hotel doesn't charge that because the room allows for up to 4 people and we only have 2 + 1.

    After the trip, I immediately contacted CheapOair to ask. First, Live Chat refused any question about hotel booking and pointed me to an email and phone number to contact. I emailed. A few days later still no response. So I contacted Live Chat again. This time I was given a different email and a phone number (maybe same number I can't remember). This time I decided to call instead.

    The person on the phone was rude and asked me for proof, which is fair. But when looking at the booking confirmation email, it doesn't show that Extra Guest item separately. It was all lumped inside "Taxes & Fees" for $120. I was speechless and tried to explain to him that it was showing separately on the website. The staff kept demanding me for proof and said in angry voice that I should only contact if I had proof. It almost sounded like he went through this before and know how the system works and know customer can never provide proof because their system never shows it in the confirmation email. I said it was not fair because it showed differently on the website than from the email but he didn't listen and hung up while I was still trying to explain.

    If a staff sincerely wants to help their customer, they would listen and find ways to help. But it's clear that he was not interested. And again, it sounded it too much like he knew there was no way I could provide proof. This was a very disappointing experience as like I said, they were good before. But now I don't know if I can trust them anymore. After this I was in loss of $60 which is big but not too big. But if you are reading this, hopefully you can learn a thing or two from my experience and stay away from booking a hotel with them. At least I will.

    My elderly father’s international ticket has changed less than week before travel date. When I asked to have better timing between flights, they said you can have refund on ticket at last minute, if he don’t like the timings. Put me on hold for 90 minutes and finally I have to hung up, since no one came online. He has to wait 18 hours between 2 flights instead of 2 hours. I wouldn’t book my tickets through CheapOair ever. Worst customer service ever.

    Ekta, we understand that changes in the airline schedules can cause an inconvenience, but as a travel agency, we have no control over the airlines operations. Air India, and United airlines had an interruption in one of the flights many travelers were affected by it, not just Cheapoair customer's, but the airline traveler's themselves. There was no other option to make that connection because you cannot change airlines, therefore you either had to accept the layover, or take the refund they were offering. We worked with your father and the airline to make this the least inconvenience for him, but the decision was to leave the flight as is, Our apologies for the inconvenience.

    Today 05 Jan 2018 I have made a booking to go to Adana, Turkey return. Total cost invoiced £184.92. Payment box I have chosen to pay by debit card. (They wanted £3.60 to make a payment by credit card) I have paid £184.92 by using debit card. Checked my bank account immediately and see they took out £13 more for agency fees. Lol. I've tried to call them many times for complaints and once they know who you are they don't answer the phones. New way of scamming people money. I'll never use them ever again.     I wish I had read these reviews first. I booked a ticket for an overnight trip for a college visit. When I received my email confirmation I saw that the dates were incorrect by one day. I did not book these dates. I called within 10 minutes to correct. Waited 27 minutes on the phone, however before hanging up, I found an online chat. My ticket to rebook will be double the original. Their website indicated 24 hour cancellations. In the end, I had to pay to cancel the trip. I will dispute it with my credit card. While I was on the online chat someone answered the phone finally, she quoted me even more to reschedule or change???

    My family has been using CheapOair for the last 2 years and it has been fine until my most recent trip. The company voided my ticket the day after it was bought but didn't notify us with any email or phone call. I only found out that my ticket was voided when I tried to check-in online to my flight the night before and was told that there was an issue. When calling CheapOair, every call agent had different stories to what happened and some even tried insisting that my ticket was valid even though I had confirmed with WestJet that my ticket was gone. They made up this story that I had called to cancel my ticket, which I never did!!! (I had absolutely no reason to cancel my ticket). Then they resorted to saying that it was my mother who called to cancel the tickets, not me - they were essentially making lies up on the spot.

    CheapOAir said that they only received payment for my return trip so they put me on a flight two days later for an additional $191. In total, the supervisor promised that I would only be paying around $315 for my return flight + the $191 = around $500 for both tickets. However, after checking with the bank, we found out that CheapOAir charged $950 for everything!!! They ended up charging $444 for my outbound ticket that they canceled! Till now, every time I call CheapOAir, they are still denying their wrongdoings and are refusing to refund the $444. Every call session is over 2.5 hours with no result.

    This is extremely frustrating and I'm completely disappointed with this company. If there is no acceptable resolution soon, I promise I will never use this company ever again. I have been a trustworthy, loyal customer for the last 2 years, but this issue has forced me to rethink who I buy airline tickets now in the future. I STRONGLY believe that this company & website should be shut down due to their unacceptable and unethical behaviors. Please think twice before buying a ticket from CheapOair!!!

    I booked Virgin Atlantic Business class tickets with them (for the second time) for my 75 yr old mother and 7 yr old daughter and was told that they would get the car service and that once they booked the tickets, Virgin Atlantic would call me in 24 hours. Never happened. Also while booking she (Stacey) tells me that if they fly the next day they can save a $1000 on the tickets. So I agree. When they charges my cc she charges the normal price. When I question her she claims that it is for another airline. I felt totally hoodwinked. I call CheapOair to follow up on the car service and the agents tells me I need to call the airline directly. Call the airline and these tickets don't get car service. So the agent complete lied about it. Also the airline told me that they don't charge for seat assignment but CheapOair charged me a fee for it. NEVER BOOK WITH THEM. THEY LIE AND DON'T BACK UP WHAT THEY ARE TELLING YOU ON THE PHONE.

    Stay away from this company!! There is a reason they're called CheapOair. So, I scheduled a flight to go home during holiday leave. Knowing that my flights may have to change at a moment's notice due to my job, I paid the travel insurance so that I could change my flight without issue. So, when I did indeed have to change my flight, I called to reschedule and they explain to me there's a $50 reschedule fee. So, apparently insurance is just a scam?? Not only that, when I rescheduled my flight, the guy I dealt with cancelled the wrong flight! Thankfully I double checked beforehand.

    So when I called to re-reschedule my flight, they act like they can't understand what I am saying and explain I will have to buy yet another flight! And that I won't be able to receive a refund due to the flight being within 24 hours. On top of that, I have to go through 3 representatives before one finally gives me their supervisor's number! All are rude, and I wait on hold for the supervisor for 1 hour and 15 minutes before the call just ends itself! So, I am basically out of almost 1 grand due to their negligence?? Absolute bs! Stay from away from these thieves!! They understand English perfectly until you request your money back!

    My Husband and I booked with CheapOair on Oct 17. They said per email to my husband (**) on Oct 17 they would credit the service fee of $29.90 back to my Credit Card. On 10/18 a credit appeared for only $14.95. They said that the other half $14.95 would be coming. I have not received this. Last night 1/3 My husband and I spent 3 hours on the phone getting no help. The last person said she was a Supervisor Dienne but she said I might hear from them in 7 to 14 days. How long does this really take?? I have the email stating they would refund the amount of $29.90 and that should be proof enough as it came from CheapOair Customer Service.

    CheapOair has no consideration, we booked a flight from San Francisco to JFK New York Airport, when we noticed there is an error in the name of one of the passenger, I immediately called the customer service with less than 2 hours just to correct the name of the passenger. When they corrected it they told me I have to pay additional $200 plus from my previous booking, according to them, it was a new person. I understand there is a system and policy, but I also knew that there is some adjustment that management can do to correct the name of the passenger, I am not changing the passenger, or the date or the route, we just forgot one name in his first name, he's the same person. Can they not give some consideration, the reason why we chose this flight is because of the price, and it's a lot to us.

    But we have no choice, because they have to be there Jan 10 or 11, so they charged us additional $67.00 for the next possible flight but with one stop and different airport. This is my last time to use CheapOair... Be kind to people who are trying to pay less in airfares... with this simple errors, you're charging almost double and cancelling the flight, I really don't understand.
