They do everything for customer's benefit and generously give you help. You would not feel dealing with some greedy commercial party, but work with decent professionals. I searched the whole internet, CheapOair has the best price for the tickets to China and Iceland.

The Operator sale to me an unwanted fare, that was not what I want, I specific declare that I want a fare with 1 Checked baggage include, and she sale to me a fare without baggage. When I verify that fare with the airline I return to you to ask for the refund, the answer was to have a price of 75§ per person, so 300§ to be lost for me.

I had purchased a ticket from CheapOair however due a delay in processing my visa I had requested a change of dates for which they refused saying that the airline forbids it! And then they said they will make a request on behalf of me however this is also a lie for which they just came back and said the airline refused to reschedule my travel dates and that the ticket is not refundable and that I will have to bear a loss. This really sucks and if I had known about this I would never have gone with such a cutthroat of a travel agent. So I am warning everyone out there. Please think twice and don’t let what happened to me happen to you! - From an extremely disappointed customer. Oh and by the way their customer support chat sucks too. It disconnects when you have told your grievance to an agent and you can ever get transferred to that agent and you just waste your time repeating yourself to every agent that connects and all they can say is sorry!

Agent was able to get the exact flights I needed! Very helpful and actually listened rather than assuming! I truly dislike your cancellation policies as they are different from virtually every other booking site, but it did meet my needs for this itinerary (you should allow 24 hr cancellation without ANY fees).

I use Kayak. CheapOair said it was cheapest. I tried booking twice online. All my information. It wouldn’t book. So I called. Person on the phone says that the rate went up. I said I am still online refreshing it and says it’s still cheap. He explains their systems don’t update that fast. I won’t waste my time with you again. Misleading.

CheapOair shows the same prices as Kayak -- but I decided to go with them, because unlike Kayak, I can choose different airlines for departure and return (something I wanted to do for this particular flight). In the end, I ended up going with the same airline (United) for both return and departure. Being already on CheapOair, I began my booking process. Credit card in, hit Purchase, and BINGO "The price of this flight has just gone up $300." What?? Then within 30 seconds I get a phone call -- guess who? CheapOair trying to explain this. I said no thanks. Went on Kayak and guess what, got the flight I wanted, purchased for the $300.00 less price. After all this happened, I had a sudden vague memory that this happened with CheapOair before - been a while -- it all seemed to ring a bell. My advice: Stay far away from this website to book your flights!

I booked a flight for an aunt with health issues to match the flights of 6 other family members. I paid twice as much for this because I was told that if any changes were made to the other 6 passengers flights by the airline I would be able to change my aunt’s flights without having to pay any additional fees, but that was a false statement as changes were made by the airline to the other 6 passengers flights. And after being on the phone for 1.02 hours with CheapOair I was told that if I was willing to pay a hefty fine and an additional fee I could make the necessary changes to match the changes made to the other 6 flights, this is not what I was promised.

Beware of the deception and hidden fee this page is listing. I recently purchased a flight ticket and had to call customer service 2 minutes later because the system messed up my name. (My middle name got repeated twice?) I am a meticulous person and I check details couple of times before and after everything. They offered to charge me $50 for name change, even though the website said free cancellation within 24 hours, but they were going to charge me $75 if I just cancel and buy the ticket again, so I agreed with the 50 just to correct my name. Then later when I reviewed my credit card, in addition to $50 they charged me for extra 35 for seat assignments which I did not.
My credit card got charged 925 + 50 + 15 + 20, which is way more than the fee they listed on their "new" receipt so I am filing a dispute and still haven't heard from them. The original flight should only cost 925 when I paid for it. Well, that is not to mention the 2 hours I had spent on trying to purchase a ticket for flights that are "unavailable" after you submit all payment information within 5 minutes and the website says "the flight is not available anymore"... And the fare always increases by whatever the huge amount.

I bought three tickets from this agency, one for me and the others for my mother and stepfather. I bought it Monday 6:00 am and received confirmation on my phone at 6:36 am. They did not send the confirmation on my e-mail until Tuesday. I sent the e-mail confirmation to my mother and she identifies a typo in her last name. I called the number for correct it and someone in India said I have to pay $50 dollars because it had been more than 24 hours. I believe it is this company trying to steal money from the customers. They send information late and expect customers to pay for it.

I am generally very happy with CheapOair. I have found the telephone operators to be polite and professional. The service CheapO provides is simple and easy to navigate and I have never had any trouble with ticketing or at check in. I have used CheapO exclusively for many years. One issue that could be improved. I recently had to change a booking as I had booked the wrong flight. My fault entirely. The operator cancelled the flight, and then quoted another flight that would have required me to pay and extra $220 AUD. I happened to be on the website which showed another flight, exactly the same but with a different airline that required only a $20 addition. The operator was apologetic, but it's just something the operators need to be careful of. All in all though, the service is generally very good. I will continue to use CheapO in future.

I told the person, "The cancellation policy is not clear when you are booking your flight. It's deceiving and misleading." He said it's the fine print which says, "Please read the 'terms' page when you checkout." I also asked if my booking can be re-instated if I cancelled 2 minutes ago and they said, "NO. Following week I contacted CheapOair again to follow up on the process and was told that they are working on it and they are not sure about how long it will take for the issue to get resolved.
I asked to speak to the supervisor who told me the same thing. "Someone will contact you in the timely manner," however no timeline was given. Later that day I received a call from a person in the waiver’s department who said “do not worry mam” and that he will be handling my case from now on and need to collect 100$ processing fee so that they can proceed with the corrections. Now I have 2 ACTIVE flights to Europe leaving on the same day under my name. I basically bought 2 RT tickets to Europe for one trip. I'm devastated because the company is acting like it's my fault and I'm not getting my $2000 back.
Customer purchased tickets and later wanted to make a change, however new fare and change penalties to expensive so chose to take a refund. Purchased a new set of tickets, so she will have two charges for the sets of tickets. The 1st set is be processed for a refund, and takes 1-2 billing cycles for the credit. I just wanted to state I never write reviews or deal with this stuff usually. I just never use your services again and tell people not to use y'all either but this is just inexcusable in my book. I was booking my travel online when had to pause for business when one of your travel agents called me and said they could help, I agreed to use a live agent instead of doing it myself since they know the outs and ends. I told him I needed a flight the next day which was on Friday and I was going out of town for weekend and back on Monday which was recorded. He said ok. I paid. He read trip back off to me and said ok. When I was coming back from my trip to get on airline they said they did not have me on flight. They said, "The travel agent booked you for flight back on JULY 23," which it was April 23 and who knows maybe he read back my trip correctly and I said ok.
I was busy but there has to be common sense. I told him I was going for the weekend not 3 and a half months. I never told him July ever. July never once came out of my mouth. The worst thing is that there was open seating on the flight that I was getting on and the same time I was booking for online originally. I called down and spoke to someone and they said that is when it was booked and could not help me at all and that I would have to pay for a flight home. The worst part is I was not looking for anything for free. No upgrades nothing. All they had to do was push a button to switch me days. The flight was already paid for in advance. There was extra seating on that plane. The funny thing is that I knew no one would help me because I don't believe in these CheapOair agents or agencies really care how many customers they lose. It's all volume and no repeat hence why they called me once I had my information in the online service.

I called up phone number provided on site and got to know that I have got subscribed for some membership for Travel Plus in order to book my ticket from www.cheapoair.com. But, I have no clue about it how I subscribed, how travel plus got my personal and card information and kept charging from last 16 months.
Also, I didn't get any email from Travel Plus that I have subscribed something which I should use, how to use, when to use, any monthly billing. I had almost 1 hours of conversation with CheapOair and Travel Plus. But, none of them justified how I got subscribed for this service and how Travel Plus got all my personal as well as payment information. They kept saying that, "You would have clicked some advertisement link hosted on CheapOair site by Travel Plus." And that's and put all your information including credit card information. But, I remember I didn’t do anything like that. It looks like some spoofing and fraud is going on with the partnership between Travel Plus and cheapoair.com to steal the hard earned money from people who do not scan their CC statement every day. Was given a gift certificate for CheapOair for $400 for Christmas, booked trip to Colorado for August online on Monday. After applying gift card to booking balance was $42.90, which CheapOair debited from my bank account. After looking at bank account, Frontier Airline also debited my account for $380.80. After being on phone with CheapOair for almost 3 hours, they claim that I did not apply the gift card and will not apply it to this trip. I never gave Frontier Airline permission to debit my account for anything and now both CheapOair and Frontier said there is nothing they can do except book another flight because I still have a $400 gift certificate to use for another trip.
I am still not done arguing with them, but can assure you that I will never use either service again and do not recommend anyone purchasing a gift certificate from CheapOair for anyone!!!! Terrible customer service with CheapOair - says it was user error! I would have never have pushed submit if balance due was $400.00 at check-out, when total bill before applying gift certificate was $427.00. They asked if I took screenshots as I was booking trip and applying certificate... Are you serious! When the total bill is $42.90, to me it was obvious that certificate was applied. What a scam. Of course in their opinion there could never be a glitch on their end and it is "user error".
Their answer is to just book another flight and use certificate then. Note to CheapOair, not everyone has that luxury. My daughter did a beautiful thing for her father and I, only to have it ruined by a company that does not have their customer's best interest in mind. I even asked CheapOair for a refund of the gift certificate in order for me to deposit back into my account but again their answer to the issue was simply just book another flight for another time. Apparently their name fits their reputation. Live and learn!!!! Looks like my next step is to dispute it with my Credit Union!!!
Tina, we will arrange for someone from billing to reach out to you. However, if a gift certificate was entered into the system and the fare was cheaper, you should not have needed to enter in a credit card, the GC was all you needed.

This is against the "24-hour reservation requirement” policy by department of transportation. I have submitted my complaint via telephone and in their survey. I will continue my follow up with all parties that can potentially make a difference.
This has been resolved and customer was refunded. However would like to point out that the 24 hour grace period without a fee is for the airlines, not travel agencies.

He said, "There is a service charge of $300." I talked to a manager who said the same thing. They all have this Indian accent and I suspect they must be located in India. I gave up. We made the airplane tickets reservation today through the website. After finishing making payment, we decided to select the seats; but found that we have to pay $50 to select seats. "What a bummer", never heard that you need to pay extra money to pick the seats by yourself. If we do not pay, we have to wait till the day we check in; the chance that three of us (including a kid) sit together will be very low. We got the call from the company quickly after making the reservation; the guy over the phone said he would like to help us to select the seat; but we have to pay $50 in order to make the seat selection now. I was upset about the fact that we have to pay some money to select the seats; so told the guy that we consider canceling the tickets.
We asked him we can cancel our tickets within 24 hours without fee, he said "yes". After three hours, we decided to cancel the reservation; so called the company and let them know we are going to cancel the seat. We were asked the reason for canceling. After explaining to him that we are not quite happy with the charge of selecting the seat in advance, the guy said your seats are selected, we asked, "When?", the guy said, "Just now," and also told us that we should already got the email confirmation, I checked the email several times without seeing any confirmation email.
Finally, about 5 minutes later the email came and showing the tickets seats selected. Obviously, after hearing that we are going to cancel the tickets, they quickly selected the seats for us without any charges. The guy also used it to against us to cancel the reservation, saying that once the seats were selected, it means that you already booked the tickets; it is hard to cancel. Considering they are not quite reliable, we still want to cancel the reservation, the guy said that you have to pay $75 for each person to cancel the tickets. It means that we need to pay $225 for the three of us, at the end, we end up of nothing by paying $225.
After talking to the supervisor, he said it is clearly said about the policy in the home page. We went to the homepage, we did not see any note saying that $75 will be charged when canceled within 24 hours. Then he said you need to go the booking page, after you finishing booking, you will see the charge of "$75" fee if cancel within 24 hours. We went to the website, only saying can cancel within 24 hours with fee at the end at the bottom with small letters. Anyway, very disappointed; will not book anything through them again.

CheapOair is a phishing scam. Every time I get a pop up on the side bar with a fantastic airfare that rate is NEVER rate. The cheapest rate is always 3x more. There is never a time when you hit the ad that that rate comes up on those exact dates. This is FRAUD and people should not patronize this site by buying the more expensive airfares because they have been drawn there by lies!
Updated on 04/25/2018: I accused on Consumer Affairs yesterday CheapOair of being a phishing scam. That their pop-ups are phony baloney. The fares they quote are NEVER available. They responded privately that the fares are limited. Well SORRY CheapOair that is not the case. Look at my response. "I am sorry to inform Chepoair that not only is it the exact date, but it is the exact moment it pops up!!! So my question is what is the point that you send a mass pop up and YOU must know that it is gone??? Don't think that your public is so dumb. There has never been a time that that fare was available at the exact moment that it comes up for the EXACT DATES! There is no such deals."
All fares are based on availability and also have specific travel dates, times, and days of the week. Because a fare appears, doesn't always mean it's for your specific travel date. It is listed the dates the fare is valid for and the last day to purchase. This is marketing, and all companies utilize it. Cancelled a flight from CheapOair last year. Paid $50 cancellation fee. Tried to reuse the credit this year. The cust. rep. choose the flight said it's the right price, I asked him find other price. He said, "Let me cancel this flight reservation for you so that I can let other book their ticket." (That seemed very pushy) He did not give any options. Flight price he mentioned where nowhere near what I could see on WestJet or CheapOair website. I decided to go ahead with that price. $587.98 (Exactly $100 more than credit from last year) and another $80 penalty. On top of that, he never mentioned that was US dollars not Canadian dollars. So I have noticed this weird pattern with CheapOair any changes cost more than 150US dollars. Lack of options/transparency, pushy customer sales rep. are few reasons why I'll never book flights from CheapOair again.

So I called CheapOair customer service to notify them about the issue, to my disappointment they stated that I've to pay $2000 to rebook another flight because I should have known before booking and the ticket is nonrefundable... Something to that effect.
The agent was rude too. First of all, how does an agent not know that you cannot connect to two European countries in one day? I find it strange that you do not know the regulations in your line of business yet you depend on customers to make money. Customers beware. Definitely not booking with them again in the future. On April 16th 2018 I booked an Enterprise minivan rental for pick up in the US through CheapOair. I was quoted not only on the website but also in a confirmation email a total price in Canadian dollars. 9 days for $528.13CAD was a fantastic price! When I received the 2nd email from CheapOair, confirming the reservation with Enterprise, it then revealed the price of $513.13US!!! A significant increase in price with a currency of exchange of 30%. I called to sort this issue out, and they immediately canceled the reservation, and agreed to book it for me over the phone and to honor the CAD price. Again, I received the confirmation email quoting Canadian dollars, but when the 2nd email arrived it was again $513.13US.
I called back again, and the manager on staff (Suzie) assured me that my price was indeed in Canadian funds. I explained that I was not confident of this, so she supposedly spoke to someone directly at Enterprise while she put me on hold. She came back and said, "Yes, you will only pay $513.13CAD at the time of pickup." As my reservation was not until September, I was not willing to wait until the day I was picking the van up to find out it was not the price I was promised. So I called Enterprise directly myself, gave them my reservation number, and they confirmed it would be in US... Exactly as suspected!
So I called CheapOair back for a 4th time and spoke to Suzie again, and she was still insisting that I was wrong, so I told her to call them again and speak to a manager this time. She admitted that when she called Enterprise the first time, she did not speak to anyone directly, that it was just an automated message. This time she spoke to a live person, and they assured her it would be billed in US funds.
After 3 incorrect bookings, both online and with an agent, all Suzie was willing to do was cancel the reservation for a 3rd time and asked me to go ahead and book again in hopes that I could find a better price with a different car rental company. I was furious! The error was on their part, they were not offering or willing to compensate in any way, and they wanted me to book through them again?!?! NO WAY!
Unfortunately for me I had also booked airfare through them a couple weeks before, which was non refundable, otherwise I would have canceled them as well. I wish I had never set eyes on this company, and there is no way I would ever give them my business again! Enjoy the $1160.00CAD you already got from me CheapOair, because it will be the last time I ever do business with you!

Months ago I booked My dream vacation with CheapOair. I was very excited to be able to book business class for such a long trip from SFO to be BKK. When booking my trip I purposely looked for flights with no more than one stop. I found and purchased a ticket for one stop each way. I booked and confirmed my seat assignments with my spouse for all flights. In booking my trip I purposely looked for flights with no more than one stop. I found and purchased a ticket for one stop each way. I booked confirmed my seat assignments with my spouse for all legs of our trip. I was very excited to receive everything I wanted in a flight through CheapOair. However on March 7 at 9:59 am I received an email from CheapOair stating that my scheduled flight had been changed and due to the fact that another stop was added in my return trip home that I would be required to get a transit visa for my spouse and I.
The email gave me the option to book another flight with a single stop, to get the visa or to cancel my reservations. Knowing that my spouse may have a problem getting a visa I quickly called CheapOair and asked the customer service agent about the email. He looked up the email and looked at my flight and apologized and said the email was sent by mistake. I asked him repeatedly if he was sure and I asked why that email would be generated to me if it was untrue. I asked over and over and over again that there would be no issue that will require my husband to get A visa. He assured me over and over and over again that my returning flight would only have one stop in China. I left the conversation feeling very secure that his words were true.
Upon our return from Bangkok after checking into to the China Southern counter we sat down at our boarding gate. One of the other travelers told us that there was an added stop to our flight. We were shocked because we did not get that information from either China Southern Airlines or received any notification from CheapOair. We had hoped that maybe we weren’t getting off the plane and so there would be no issue. That was not the case. From Bangkok to our first stop in China things went fine. But once we got off the plane it was a nightmare.
We quickly made our way to security who redirected us to an immigration counter for transfers. Immediately our passports and about 15 others were taken from us with no explanation And when we try to ask questions we were very rudely interrupted and told to sit down until called. Treated like criminals! This is where we stayed for two hours until they return our passports and told us to continue with our transfer. After going through security. We were herded like cattle to our gate. When asked where we could find the first class lounge we were told by an airport employee that we did not have access to one. We asked if there was somewhere we can get food or drink. We were told we do not have access to any. Mind you overall our layover was five hours and 45 minutes. Mind you also the reason we purchased business class tickets was to have access to lounges during these long layovers.
Finally after hours of waiting with no food or drinks we boarded our flight to our second stop and China. Upon boarding the aircraft we were shown to our business class seats that were not seated together. When we asked the flight attendant what was going on and showed her our confirmed seats she informed us that our confirmation was not for this flight that they had added. I explained to her that this was unacceptable that they added the flight to our itinerary without notifying us and that we were not sitting together. She shrugged her shoulders smiled and said it’s only an hour flight. I asked her if we would be sitting together from our final stop in China to San Francisco. She assured us that we would be.
As we arrive to our final destination in China we boarded our final flight and of course we were not sitting together again. We talk to the flight attendant and she after some convincing moved us to a joining seats. We arrive safely in San Francisco but very irritated and anxious. Not at all what we expected from a business class flight.
These are my concerns with CheapOair. Obviously CheapOair knew about this flight change and the added stop in China because I received an email stating that it was going to happen. Why when I called the agent told me that it was a mistake email and that there would be no changes to our flight. Was he lying or just ill-informed? Had we not been told that everything would be OK by your agent and that there were no additional stops in China I would have changed my flight to a one-stop flight and not had to go through this nightmare of getting a visa.
I also would not put in a position where I was without food and drink for five hours and 45 minutes. It is without doubt that CheapOair has to take responsibility for this nightmare of a trip. Had your agent not advise me to keep my trip the way it was and told me that everything would be OK I would’ve simply changed my itinerary to fit my needs. I fully expect to be compensated through CheapOair for the nightmare that I endured.
Please know that I am a very frequent flyer as is my extended family of about 30. We have often use CheapOair to book our flights. I would hope that you value us as customers enough to take care of this issue. I called customer service last week and spoke to an agent named Spencer. He informed me that all calls are recorded. I’m very happy to hear that so that a supervisor can review those calls and confirm my testimony. I have not heard anything from CheapOair except for a short email saying my complaint was forwarded to a supervisor.

Cancel your flight for "free" but subject to service cancellation fees of $50 a ticket. I booked my flights through my phone, put in the dates I wanted to depart and arrive, the flights that came up showed departure time and arrival times, but what was not too apparent were the dates you actually arrived at your destination (i.e. Wanted departure for 7/20, flight showed up as depart at 8:10 pm---> arrive 11:20pm). I took that as same day, realized after I got my confirmation email that it was actually an arrival for the next day at 11:20 pm, apparently there was a full day layover (going both ways).
Never had this happen before and I've used CheapOair quite a few times in the past with no issues, and great service. Called to cancel since the reason I searched for those days was because I needed to be at my destination on those days (not the next) and was informed of the cancellation fee which I was directed back to the bottom of the home page to view. $150 in cancellation fees - $50 per ticket.

Before booking a flight they assure you that cancelation is free up to 24 hours. But this is not the truth. The truth is that this online travel agent is the king of hidden fees. So when you cancel a flight within 24 hours they simply charge you $75 as cancelation fees! It's ridiculous! Cancelation is free but you have to pay $75! After they charged me $75 I called customer service to get help. Customer service is terrible. It's not U.S based and they are very rude. Finally, I had to call my bank and dispute.

Due to emergency I had to cancel this flight and rebook another leaving sooner. CheapOair told me for $100 that I could cancel and I would be given a credit to use on American Airlines a year from my original booking date. I have the confirmation email stating all the conditions. Today I called to use the credit and was told that I would have to re-book from the same departing location which was China at the time that I first booked. What, I am not in China anymore and if that was the requirement then that should have been told to me.
Needless to say I am out 1k as they refuse to re-book and American said that they should have told me that and it should have been disclosed to the buyer before cancellation. I am going dispute this with my cc as this is simply robbery and should be against the law. To be told that I should buy a ticket to China so I can home back to Texas is the only way I can use my ticket, what! Had they been upfront then I would have had to do something different than giving them 1,000 to cancel the initial booking. BUYER BEWARE.

We were on speakerphone. Before we made the purchase, I took the phone from her and asked if we would be able to get our money back if we canceled, he told us as long as we do it before the 24 hour period. This morning we attempted to cancel because we needed to, which I suspected we might, and they told my wife who is military too that they would keep 50 dollars per person. I booked a round trip flight recently with CheapOair and my receipt/confirmation showed a cost to Cabo San Lucas @ $424.20 each including taxes and fees. I then received another receipt later that day showing an extra $59.50, but I checked my credit card and the only charge showing was the $424.20 each so didn't worry about the higher amt.
A few days later, I noticed that they added the extra $59.50 to my charge card on the day after the initial charges were posted. I called and was told this was added because I chose & reserved my seats online. I chose the standard seats as this is a short flight. (Their cost is for "enhanced seats as I now see on the 2nd invoice) - I complained and was told they would reverse the $59.90. I waited a week and fee still not reversed - I called and was told that they would only reverse the seat cost of $29.90 for the seat assignment, but they still have a standard booking fee of $30 even though I booked online. Be aware to read the fine print on this company - they hide extra charges in their initial confirmation but add them after you have paid, so you really don't save any money by using them. I verified with the airlines (American and United) that they charge no penalties for such an upgrade. CheapOair should have charged only for the cost of the ticket upgrades and a second booking but instead it charged the full cost of both the coach tickets and the first-class tickets. Thus, I was overcharged for the full cost of the coach tickets ($1,392.20.) CheapOair adamantly refused to refund this overcharge.
My credit card company (Capital One Visa) was useless in moderating this dispute--they merely accepted whatever CheapOair charged. Now CheapOair does not respond to my online correspondence. My only recourse for this grossly fraudulent overcharge seems to be a lawsuit but the overcharge ($1,392.20) is not enough to warrant such action. CheapOair must realize this. On 3 August 2017 my family and I were kicked off an Air Canada/Rouge flight from Toronto to Venice for no valid reason and CheapoAir never offered any assistance to help us reach our destination on time in order to catch a cruise and never offered any compensation for our troubles. We were left stranded in Toronto and our vacation was headed for ruin. CheapOair did not once offer the assistance of a crisis response agent to help guide us through the situation to find a workable solution. I had to find a solution on my own which ended up costing over four thousand of dollars. Their customer service is absolutely horrendous. They use a tactic of always changing the agent with whom one is working with so there is no continuity in resolving issues over time.
Every single time one calls in the agent is starting over. There is no supervisor assigned to take responsibility for one's case. Their customer service process is designed to wear one out and quit in frustration, leaving CheapoAir off the hook and free of taking any responsibility for their lack of providing the travel service they sold. I began reporting this problem on 3 August 2018, the initial day of travel, and since then have spent at least 40 hours in phone calls with no corrective action response from CheapOair. They absolutely refuse to take any responsibility for the failure to deliver the services I contracted and paid them for. They want to place all the blame on the airline but I did not pay the airline, I paid CheapOair.
This company is not to be trusted. If the travel arrangements work out according to the initial plan then there is no problem. If, however, there is a serious problem such as what we experienced, they disappear and abandon the customer to suffer the consequences with absolutely no support from CheapOair. I would appreciate being compensated for the extra travel expenses I was forced to pay in order to complete our vacation. I have emailed CheapOair an itemized description of these expenses along with receipts but have never received any response back from their customer service department. My mother passed away so I had to cancel my trip. I requested a refund from CheapOair but they only returned the money I paid for the Alaska Airlines portion of my trip. The leg using China Southern Airlines which cost more was not refunded. I called China Southern and was told that they cannot issue me a refund directly but I had to request the agent of CheapOair to contact them. China Southern advised me to ask CheapOair the reason for denying my refund request. But CheapOair stopped returning my calls and emails. Every time I follow-up, CheapOair agents give me assurance that I will hear back from them within 24 hours, but it does not happen. I cannot count the number of times that I've followed-up because they had been too many since my mother's death this past January 2018.
Philamer, we are still working on the portion with China Southern airlines, Being that they are an international carrier, they have different fare rules pertaining to refunds, unlike the US carriers. We don't have an update yet, but we are still in contact with them. Our apologies for the delay.

Fares are dynamic in nature and fluctuate all the time. Inventory comes directly from the airline, so when you are booking, seats can be available, but all travel sites, and the airline are pulling from the same inventory, so the seats can get sold out, or fare increase before the sites can be updated. With the travel insurance, if I met the criteria, I did not have to do this. I was just supposed to be able to reschedule, with no penalty. I have tried to fill out the claim form several times.
It is a very difficult time consuming form, with no real explanation of how to complete it. I have also called CheapOAir, and have received no help. I have also called the travel insurance company, Tripmate, who has offered me no assistance. Therefore, I am out $300. I am traveling with American Airlines. My new ticket is cheaper than my first ticket, for the same flight. I feel like I am being robbed and completely taken advantage of. I will never book with CheapOAir again. I have asked to speak to a manager. They will not let you. It is making me ill, just to try to fix all this mess. The reason I had to cancel was due to anxiety attacks. I am about to give up, because it is making me so stressed out. I think this is what the expect, is for you to give up, so they can win and keep your money.

We purchased several tickets from CheapOair's website for air travel from Kigali, Rwanda to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. All of them went thru flawlessly, however when some 12 passengers arrived from Kigali to the connecting flight in Nairobi the connecting air carrier Kenya Airways refused to accept the tickets as they do not have a ticketing agreement with Rwandair. The only solution was for me to purchase some 12 brand new tickets at the departure gate or have all of these guests forfeit their prepaid East African Safari. This resulted in an out of pocket to myself of $2800. We have been exchanging correspondence with Cheapo for nearly 2 years and it has been one dismissive email after another filled with endless and inexplicable delays coupled with empty promises and redundant request for additional information. I booked round trip tickets on March 13th for my husband, our baby and myself. When I chose our flights, we had the option of choosing our seats and upgrading to AM Plus seats on our Aeromexico flight. The upgrade on the seats was about an additional $200. When I called the airline to confirm our seats, they said we have basic seating. I immediately called CheapOair and each and every representative I spoke to could not tell me why we are not getting our AM Plus seats. We fly out on the 27th. I was on the phone for 3 hours getting passed from one department to another with no actual help. (Hold times always say 10-12 minutes, but you're holding for much longer in between)
I even spoke to a supervisor who yelled at me on the phone! He said, "look at your invoices on your bank statement, look at your receipt." He then transferred me to the billing department. The receipts they sent are not itemized so it doesn't show the breakdown of what you're actually paying for. I was so frustrated I was ready to cancel, but they put me on hold again and never returned. The call then disconnected. I went on their website and emailed customer service waiting for a reply, and have yet to get a response. I will NEVER use this site again and will NOT recommend CheapOair to anyone.

I will NEVER recommend or use CheapOair again. Having had a problem with round trip flight ticket times being changed by the airline, I called CheapOair to try to reschedule the flights. After having a difficult time to understand the first few agents trying to help me, I asked to speak to a manager. He acknowledged that I had already called, as I’m sure it is recorded by my phone number, and gave me a runaround. I called back one day later to ask another question regarding my situation and the representative was VERY abrupt and rude. While I waited for the automated survey to come on, I realized that the agent did not hang up and I heard her mock me to her co-workers as well as talk bad about me. I then called back to file a complaint and they were very quick to say they’d look into it, took my phone number (yeah right) and hung up. I haven’t heard back. NEVER again will I use this low-class agency.
We have reviewed the phone calls into our office and found none of our agents to be rude, disrespectful, or mock our customer. We do not tolerate this behavior and our agents are aware of it, and know at any time we can review the calls. Customer experienced a change in the airlines flight schedule which she was being inconvenienced. We can only provide the options that the airline gives to us, and have no control over what they present. Very sorry for the inconvenience, and this has been resolved with the customer.

The entire experience is not what it seems. I am a regular user of Expedia. What they published was around the same price as I ended up paying (before the added penalties) as I would have paid at Expedia. The only reason I picked CheapOair was because it showed a cheaper price. So as you can see from the screenshots, they show tickets were approximately $469 but what we wanted was sold out. But this was how the page showed after I bought the tickets (it was not sold out originally when I clicked through).
So what how did it play out. It one as follows: I looked for tickets from Dublin to Edinburgh from March 25th to March 27th. It showed departure around 9:55 am and returning 4:15 pm on the 27th. Price was around $450 each for 3 people. I clicked through, it said, "Sorry, price had gone up to $469." So I clicked ok. But here is where it went completely sideways. I clicked to what I thought was going to be a final price of about $1400. Instead after processing, what I got in the email confirmation was a price of $2300 at $750 each with a return time of 8:20 am, not 4:15 pm. So not only did I pay $1000 dollars more than I expected, I was returning in the morning. I was puzzled. I went back to the site and search again.
Now it said the times I wanted was sold out. See screenshot, but the price was still listed as $469. There were lots of other combinations, but nothing at $750. Whether I was not careful and did not see the return change date nor the price I am not 100% sure. However, there are no final confirmations like at Expedia to make sure.
However, I just cannot imagine I did not see these changes after clicked ok. Instead what is more likely is that changes were made after I pressed confirm, where CheapO went back to the airline and got new prices and times or something of that sort. I bug of some sorts must exist in the software. I have seen other posts about the site where return dates randomly changed. It took a good minute or two to complete the transaction by the way. What is really interesting is that my Visa did get the charged with what I originally expected of ~$1400 but not verified and then the ~$2300 also not verified. I still am not even sure if I will eventually end up paying the first $1400, which will make my transaction over $5000.
I immediately called CheapOair and they gave me the runaround. I ended up at billing after 1.5 hours on the phone and told them, this was just not right. I tried to explain, but all I got was a very rude response and was eventually sent to someone to cancel the order. I thought that would be fine, even when they said it would be $75 each to cancel and no compromise. They would not even listen my explanation as to what had gone on. Anyway they came back and said the airline would not accept a cancellation, but would take a change for $79 each to make the change to get the 4:15 PM return.
At this point we figured we would cut our losses and just do it. So it was done and we got charged $225 by CheapOAirlines plus another $350 or so from Aer Lingus. So not only was it not $79 extra each, it was more like $125 extra from Aer Lingus and $75 from CheapOair each. They never really clarified on the phone that CheapOair was still going to charge us $75. We can only assume that the extra $79 from Aer Lingus was Euros and not dollars. But she never clarified that, particularly since she knew the original purchase was in dollars.
So in the end what I thought was going to cost around $1400 for 3 people in our family for a 1 hour flight cost me over $3000, possibly $5000 if the double visa change goes through. I know for a fact when I went back on Expedia, the price showed correctly as $750. But I would never have considered paying that. Nevertheless, I would still have been better off paying $2250 and not $3000 at a site advertised as cheaper.
And after all that, they charged us the penalties, they did not change the flight details as you can see from the receipt. We called them several times and the flight is still the old flight and they don’t have an answer for me even though the extra $600 in penalties have gone through. So who knows what our return flight will be in the end. To me the entire experience was set up to mislead and cheat the consumer in a disgusting, uncompromising fashion. I will from now on continue to only book from Expedia. What you see there is what you get.

Booked a flight to Argentina with them because it was $300 cheaper than all other prices I looked at. I booked a flight that went LAX-SCH-EZE and it processed perfectly, I chose my seats and paid. All was good. Then I get a phone call 5 minutes later, that my seats were not picked. I was told that I had to book the seats on the phone and it would cost $50 per seat to select the seats since it required a customer service agent. After asking to cancel the booking and getting told it was $75 cancellation fee per ticket (within 5 minutes) I decided to tell them I would not accept having to pay to book the seats.
They finally allowed free seat booking. 4 months go by and I get an email stating that I made a change to my flight directly with the airline and if I did not make this change, to contact them. So I called and waited on a 50 minute hold, to be told that my flight has been changed and I would now be flying to Miami then Argentina and that my seats were not able to be chosen as they are "blocked" off and I would have to arrange it upon check-in at the airport. A few days pass and a friend told me that it is something CheapOair does to save time on a phone call and not have to book seats.
So I called the airline directly and they gave me a code of online seat booking. By that time all seats were taken and there were no seats together. I called CheapOair and spent the better part of 2 days waiting on hold (most times it got "disconnected" after 1 hour of holding) and when I get through to someone they would just send me to the airline, and not address the issue or the fact that the new airline (American Airlines) was showing a total due of $256, after I already paid in full 4 month before. They would not answer ANY of my questions and just say they were unable to do anything.
Seats have been assigned and are together, feel free to call our office, or check your reservation online, it will display the seating.

I was told it would cost at the time, $330 more to change the date to an earlier flight back to San Juan. So we decided to wait it out and see if we could find an alternative plan.
Today I pulled up the website to the airlines we were going to travel on and checked on ticket prices one way to San Juan from St Thomas, $186 for all three passengers. I clearly purchased specific dates and departure times. When I received the confirmation email a few minutes later, I noticed the return departure time was incorrect. I called them immediately, only to be told I had made the mistake and that the return flight I wanted was an additional $50.66. When I stated both flights were exactly the same amount, they told me I was mistaken. I immediately rechecked the flight data and confirm I was correct. Actually it was $1 cheaper. I told the agent I would not accept the additional fee, and decided to leave it as it was. I then rechecked the flight itinerary with 2 other sources, one being the actual airline direct, and found that both rates were less than CheapOair.
I then called CheapOair a second time to inquire about the additional fee. They requested for the return flight and a price match. This time they told me that the previous agent was asking for $50.66 as an administrative fee, not that the fare was an additional fee, and that I must have misunderstood him. Regarding the price match, I was walked in verbal circles leaving me so confused that I gave up. I then of course asked to cancel the flight, and stated that I would accept the fact that they got me, and that I will just chalk this up to experience with CheapOair, and simply never use them again.
I have come to learn that this seems to be common practice for CheapOair to change your flight data to suit their benefit, and when you call to inquire, it will always have been customer error but they can fix it quickly for you, for a fee of course! As I have read on many CheapOair reviews, this is a money grab scheme, and they do it very well, I may take the time in the future to write a larger article on CheapOair, and post it to a larger social media audience, but for now I will just be thankful that I can trust my airlines direct service and proper business ethics, and that we consumers have alternative options to companies like CheapOair.

Not only that I paid extra but they charged my card again and will refund my initial charge in 7 to 14 days putting unnecessary financial burden on my family. I will never use them again and will pursue them legally if possible. CheapOair needs to be stopped from this disgusting and probably illegal practise.

I am so elated to add my opinion about my satisfaction with CheapOair! Nothing but love!!! There was a glitch, but the confident, patient Rep took care of that. And had me smiling in no time flat!!! Thanks to the best!

The booking agents were very informative and I found it very helpful to have someone to actually speak with regarding my reservations. When I called back the second time, the agent was able to convince me, in a non intrusive way, that I should purchase the insurance for my luggage.

I would give them a zero if I could. I had trouble booking my flight and then when I completed the ticket purchase the departing date was not correct. I did not notice it right away. When I called them within 48 hours they said that they could change them for an additional $948.00! All four tickets were only $1242.00! I asked them if I could cancel them and reorder and they told me I'd lose the whole $1248.00. The refused to switch them or help me in a reasonable way. They are there to rip you off. I advise you to deal directly with the airline and forget these services. They also tried to charge me $110.00 to pick my seats... Really??!! CheapOair you should be ashamed of yourselves for ripping people off. It's disgusting that you would attempt to take advantage of people in such a way. I realize you need to make money but you are thieving people.

Initially asked to cancel or rebook a flight and decided to cancel because it was cheaper. Long story short, I got ripped of money and they keep insisting that it was discussed even after I sent them proof that it was not. They keep passing me to different agents, made it look like I was the one lying, and not to mention they sat with my complaint for more than a month. Go find some other booking website because it's not worth it.
