I booked a flight from Houston to New Delhi via Paris and Rome. There were some issues with the transit visa (I need Schengen visa) and I could not board the flight. I called customer services 3-4 times to help me to reschedule the flight. It is hard to believe but they offered to reschedule me on the same flight in 2-3 days but I have to pay extra 1200-1300 dollar, Or they will reschedule me on the same flight after one month (with extra 500-600). I told them clearly that both options are not plausible for me because I cannot get a visa in 2-3 days because it is holiday season and I cannot go after one month because I am a student.
I called them again if I can get the refund or schedule some other time, but they told me that the flight already marked me "no show" so they canceled the whole trip (roundtrip) even when I informed that I cannot board the flight because of visa issues. They told me they understand my problem and they are sorry for it. But you cannot deposit sorry. I lost the 959 dollars I saved for going home and of course, I could not go home. Zero customer satisfaction.

The nearest price available was over two times the price of several non-existent flights used to bait online. I ended up paying two prices more than expected with a lot of unexplained added charges. I will never use CheapOair.com again. I accepted dates that were nowhere near the dates I wanted, only to end up paying over double what was baited price online. Worst experience planing a flight I've ever had in 40 years. Beware! Stay away and shop around! NOT CHEAP! Bait online and switch when you call...

I ordered two-way flight tickets. The price was so good. I ordered insurance as well. Later, I had a family member die and had to return my tickets. I was charged $150 cancellation fee on top of services fee of $150. The policy states that the full refund is valid if there is a death in family or visa complications. Still waiting for my refund since October 31.
Please provide the 8 digit booking number. Also, you need to file the claim with the insurance company, they are the ones responsible for the reimbursement if the reason is a covered benefit.

Disorganized and amateurish. Booked a flight to Denmark and purchased extra legroom. I had to make a change, which I paid $400 for (no complaints here) and was specifically told TWICE that I had the legroom option purchased for the new tickets. I arrive at the airport to find out I was assigned regular seating. After arriving in Denmark I spoke with FOUR DIFFERENT CheapOair employees who gave me zero customer satisfaction. They wouldn't refund the legroom upcharge, wouldn't admit to any errors, and couldn't find me a legroom option on my return flight. I will NEVER use this company again.
Customer was never charged for the extra leg room and requested it to be canceled due to one segment seat was not available. Case has been resolved.

I booked tickets online then call customer service as needed to make bassinet request. Agent told me it’s not available on originally chosen flight so he had to book flight with him and he’ll take care of it. After long holds, he said bassinet is confirmed for return and not for departure. Also asked me to call next day to confirm or he would refund money if it wasn’t reserved for us. Guess what? I called next day to confirm and the customer service told me the request is in but there is no way to confirm it? And she assured the agent would call me back before my 24 hours of booking... but no calls. Nothing!! I guess, your agents just wanted to book ticket over the phone for commission etc. PS: he also assured we all will sit together but I guess, he was lying about it too. Never using CheapOair again and will share my review all over. Definitely not recommended to anyone.

A two letter typo was made when I booked online, which I did not at first see. I spent numerous hours ON HOLD over a week, trying to sort this out. Talked to several reps, all of whom said it couldn't be done without cancelling and rebooking at twice the price - over $1500. With perseverance and insistence to upscale the issue, the change was made with a $75Cdn fee charged to remove TWO letters. Lots of time wasted and very stressful - will not use these guys again.

I will never ever deal with this company again, nothing but stress. Worst service ever. 1.5 hr each total of 4 calls. That's time in my life I can never get back. Usually I do my homework and read the reviews. The one time I don't, it comes back and bites me. They tell you one thing different each time you call and then wanna go back and listen to the last 1.5 hr from the last call. I'm not racist all but then need people who speak better English. They're rude and try and cut you off and not listen to what you have to say. Sad thing is you don't get to hear it either so it goes by what “they” say, did or didn't say. My mind isn't that bad to where I can't recall what was just said within a 24 hr period. I'm so frustrated and angry with them. I would suggest going through a different company or airlines itself! Come to find out there's bad reviews on the Frontier Airlines.

The time frame I had chosen to travel Jan 1-Jan 16 was key as well as finding a flight that fit my budget and under 25 hours flight time. The specialist was flawless and found me pricing for flights within the dates provided, and under 25 hours. She also followed up with me when promised which saved me time and stress. Now I have the right seats. But wasted time. Got no compassion for it.
We did contact the customer, and offered him a refund of the seat fee, and an additional $10.00 so total of $25.00, he also received the seats that he wanted so his issue has been resolved. Got the seats he needed, and compensated him for his inconvenience.

I love using CheapOair for the great discounts. Unfortunately, it is a complete waste of my time calling CheapOair representatives. The calls are outsourced to individuals who do not understand what I am trying to say. There have been several instances of my experiences. The 1st was on my trip to Japan where I went to the gate and they boarded and took off earlier than the ticket stated. I informed the front desk individuals about the confusion but they did not let me board 20 minutes before the departure time. I called CheapOair to put me on the next flight but they could not refund me my ticket nor put me on the next flight despite seats being available. I had to purchase additional tickets.
I was worried about my flight plan prior to calling so I asked a representative about time differences and they informed me my current plan would not be an issue. Unfortunately, the representative was incorrect so for my trip to Berlin I informed the representative of my flight being delayed and not being able to make my connecting flight. When I contacted CheapOair for a refund or place me on the next flight they were unable to assist me. Once I landed I had to sit at the airport with CheapOair to schedule my flight for Berlin and made the mistake of contacting representatives to assist me. They placed me on the incorrect date again for the following flight and double charged me. When I called for a refund they informed me it would take 2 weeks!!!
When I informed the representative of her mistake she said she could not place me on the correct flight due to "computer issues" so I had to do it myself. I ended up buying the airline tickets myself through other services for the 2nd time. I frequently use CheapOair for airline tickets but will not be using it in the future due to the continuous bad service. It is a complete waste of my time calling and I always end up having to buy additional tickets due to the lack of knowledge by the staff.

The only thing that I don't like is that if you need to make changes to your ticket you have to pay almost or more than you paid for the ticket. I work out of state and a lot of times I will book the flight and then my work they will change the days that we are off. When we call to change the flight and have to pay more or lose the ticket.
Any travel agency you would book with, is going to have the same policy when it comes to making changes, even the airline. The airlines determine the fare rules, and the airline change penalty. So for just making a change you will have an airline fee of 150.00-350.00 and you have to pay the fare difference for the new travel date, so we are bound by the rules. Our apologies that a change in plans caused you an inconvenience.

I bought tickets flying from SLC to MIA for a certain date. I filtered the options to only show the EXACT date selected. After purchasing the flights I noticed that CheapOair changed the flight date to the next day. We were going on a cruise and the ship was departing 2 hours before we would even arrive in MIA so that wasn't an option for us. That's why I had to buy more expensive tickets for that exact day in the first place! I tried to change or cancel the tickets right away (within minutes of booking the flights) and they charged me over $61 to change the flight date.
There was no getting around it. CheapOAir had advertised no worries free cancellations within 24 hours of booking but when I called they said there is a booking cancellation fee or change fee of $30 each. I had bought 2 tickets and they charged me $60. Plus I had to stick with the same airline that only had one flight that day and departs at 5 a.m. and has a 6 hour layover! Then doesn't arrive until after 6 p.m. that's 13 hours! We would have NEVER selected that flight. Other airlines for that day were just 5 to 6 hours long for around the same price. We're really dreading that flight! I'll never book with CheapOair ever again! Terrible customer service and very misleading!

So CheapOair is great when everything runs smoothly, aka no changes are requested. However, we had a flight that changed on us after booking. Since it was a material change, we asked for a refund. They agreed to it on the call, but then tried to pressure us to buy a more expensive flight, with worse quality. We just told them, we want a full refund. They told us okay and in 48 hours, we will get one. All of a sudden they tell us they need a 200 fee, which is crazy, for what are they charging? We ended up having to do a dispute with our card and recorded the calls so we had proof. Listen, it’s just not worth it to use the service. You may save a bit of money, but if something goes wrong, you are in their hands.
The customer experienced a schedule change caused by the airline. These are very common and as a travel agency, we have no control over it. They did offer an option but she refused, therefore wanted a refund, but the ticket came with a penalty. Everything has been resolved.

Problem: On the company website, when purchasing an airline ticket, the information says that “the ticket can be cancelled or dates changed within an hour of the flight departing.” Please note that it expressly does NOT say, “the ticket can be cancelled or dates changed within an hour of the flight departing for a fee.” Therefore, the purchaser assumes that the ticket can “be cancelled or dates changed within an hour of the flight departing.” Please also note that to absolutely ensure that I would be able to change or cancel my flight I paid an additional $100 in Insurance.
For reasons beyond my control today I had to cancel my international flight today and contacted CHEAPOAIR and was informed that “if” I wanted to cancel my CDN $1,006.93 flight that I would only receive $530.69 back - and would also have to pay a cancellation fee of CDN $250. Therefore, if the $250 cancellation fee is paid, in total CHEAPOAIR has billed me $1,256.93 and that if I cancel I get only $530.69 back. Therefore, in order to actually cancel this ticket, I lose 82% of the $726.24 ticket’s value ($150.49 less than the original ticket itself?!). Note that the original ticket was only $876.73 (not including tax.). This MUST be as illegal as it is immoral.
CheapOair cannot charge me another $250 to simply cancel my ticket - there is NO record of this anywhere in the transaction. Now when I am trying to resolve the issue the customer service in India is giving me the run-around. No solutions, no accountability, no responsibility whatsoever. This is an incredibly fraudulent business. Whatever you do, DO NOT PURCHASE A THING FROM CHEAPOAIR!

My boyfriend and I booked a flight to Colorado and had no issues (yet; this flight is in January so we'll see what they manage to screw up), so we searched flights from Tuscon to Austin to bring his grandfather here for Christmas. Apparently, the site saves previously entered credit card information and while we were SEARCHING (not booking, just searching dates and times). The site booked 2 separate flights under our previous travel information (my boyfriend's name).
We never received a confirmation email for these 2 flights, and only figured out we had them while looking at our bank statements. As we are unable to get a refund, we are trying to change the name on the ticket to be his grandfather's instead of his. The representatives have said that since we did not change the name within 24 hours of booking, we will not be able to. We did not even know the flight had been booked by their website until a week after booking, so that wouldn't have been possible in the first place. Nobody has been helpful and we aren't wanting to cancel, just change the name. We will never use this company again. (Also, if you get the trip insurance for a "refund" you don't get one; you get a credit at the airline that you have to pay an extra $200 to use. Which is the dumbest policy I've ever heard of).

I bought an American Airlines ticket through Cheapoair this month on November 14th at midnight and there was a problem with the name. I called back at 8 am (less than 24 hours) to ask if it was possible to change the name, apparently AA would not accept to change the name. I asked for a refund, so the representative at Cheapoair put me on the phone with a representative of American Airlines. We were us three on the phone (Cheapoair, AA and myself). At this point, the supervisors from both companies joined the call and they were shouting at each other, blaming each other and saying that the other is responsible for giving me back my refund. American Airlines explained that I bought my ticket through Cheapoair and that they should be the ones paying me back (which makes complete sense).
At the end of the call, the Cheapoair supervisor, who told me his name was Ernando, agreed with the American Airlines that they (Cheapoair) would give me the refund. Of course, I asked for an invoice stating that I would get a refund, which they sent to me. Few days later, I receive an email saying that the airline (AA) refused to give me a refund, therefore, I will NOT get my refund for the ticket. I have been on the phone with them since then, I spoke to multiple representatives who told me that I am completely right, and that I received a promise of refund, therefore I should receive my refund. But the supervisors and the other department responsible for giving refunds disagree. I called within less than 24 hours, stayed on the phone from 8 am to 3 pm waiting. They lied to me about me getting my refund even though they gave me a billing invoice. And now are refusing to pay me back. They are violating the Consumer Protection Act.

Updated on 12/19/2018: I wrote an honest review about how my daughter and I were treated by this company on Dec 2. They demanded my personal information to “resolve the issue,” and I have not heard a word from them, yet my review says “insufficient response.” They have had numerous opportunities to resolve the issue, and have chosen to disregard the safety of their clients. In the future, I plan to book directly with the airlines. It may require a bit more searching for the right flight on my part, but it’s much less of a hassle, and the airlines I traveled with was only not able to assist me because CheapOair refused to do their part. I would have given it a zero star review, but it requires me to select at least one to post a review.
Original review: I booked my flight 5 months in advance as I was to attend the wedding of a relative. Nearly 3 months after I booked, my 2 hour layover was changed to an 8 hour layover. The layover location is a 3 hour drive from home. When I became aware of the change in itinerary, I contacted CheapOair as it was unacceptable. I was traveling with my child and an 8 hour layover is neither safe or acceptable. The agent told me to accept the changes and call back closer to the travel date if no other changes were made by the airline. I called, and was refused the option to change anything without being charged penalty fees. I had paid for flexible tickets initially after being informed they would allow me to make changes leading up to the travel date without penalty fees. A supervisor informed me that is only good for 24 hours after booking. Why would anyone pay for that when the trip is months away.
I was denied a refund, and told CheapOair isn’t even the ticket holder. Hahn Air is who CheapOair goes through when you book. So there’s the customer, CheapOair, Hahn Air, and then the airline. I was not even able to book a separate itinerary directly with the airlines because it reads as a double booking in the system and voids the new booking. My options were to take my chances with the unnecessary 8 hour layover, or miss the wedding. I spent an unnecessary 8 hours in a South Florida airport with my child with high anxiety as human trafficking statistics are very high in that area. I was also told if I miss my flight with the layover, my itinerary would be canceled.
Looking back, I believe I should have just missed the flight and rebooked directly through the airline myself after my itinerary was canceled. They have no concern for the well being of their travelers, and the customer service experience was beyond frustrating. I spent approximately 16 hours over two days on the phone with them trying to get the issue resolved to no avail. That includes being hold for 59 minutes at a time on several occasions. I plan to never use this agency again, and I advise anyone reading this to do the same. Had they canceled and refunded my payment, I had the option to book my flights directly through the airline for a significantly lower price than what I spent with CheapOair. I would have been a bit more forgiving had they taken the safety of my child into consideration, but they had their money and no concern for our well being.

I booked a RT flight for my brother in August 2018 from Paris to Miami for end of December 2018. First of all I had no idea about CheapOair so I clicked on book a flight which was $420. In September I got my credit card statement showing over $600 from CheapOair so I contacted them to get a complete detail bill as what they sent me after I booked online is a total of $540 with taxes and agency fees but no details of what the tax was nor the detail of agency fees showing. Now we got 2 different amount of money here.
When I didn’t received email with detail bill which was sent to me on November 28 2018 and asked beginning of September and still there is no detail of the charges. I file a complaint with my credit card company about the unknown charges. They were sending everyday email to recover their money and called me so I explained to this particular Sylvester that what was the charges for and he replied that I'm the one who approved them but NOT and he told me that it was for insurance in case of something happened to my brother so I was forced to pay what I put on hold with the credit card company to found out later that he lied to me and said after several other calls after this one that it was insurance for checked baggages which my brother had none.
After Thanksgiving my brother called me to tell me that he went to emergency room for abdomen pain and he got to go to asap surgery for an advanced hernia in December 11 and his flight is for December 31st so I asked him to give me all documents for refund/change dates to find out from CheapOair that even it is an emergency they won’t refund my money and if I want to change it’s going to cost me over $500 do again.
I asked what’s the $500 and they didn't answer me so I called airlines and ask how much to change and according to my new dates in March which was only $389 for Rt including tax was much cheaper from what I have and it will only cost me $136 and explained the nightmare I’m having with CheapOair and airlines told me that they couldn’t do it as it was blocked and had to go to them for anything. I asked also if they could see if CheapOair had contacted them directly about my problem and their response was "only you and your husband 3 times but not a call from CheapOair at all."
I called back CheapOair for the hundred times and told them that they never called company like they were saying when they kept on putting me on hold for hours. This was just a BIG SCAM!!! Finally I called again and told them that now the charges to change my dates to March went down to $300? Without any details!!! Today I'm done with this scam. Will be reporting to the news media and probably court!!! This is a scam. They charge your card all these fees without your knowledge etc. Countless hours on phone giving me the runaround, rude people, lying about prices and making it up as they go. This company should be investigated and they are messing up with the wrong person.

I booked two tickets (Chloe **, Conaway ** and Jorge **) through CheapOair on Interjet from LAS/ MEX/MID on Thursday, Nov. 22. The afternoon before, I tried to get my boarding passes from the Interjet website and they kept answering that they had no reservation under our number or under our names. After 5 tries, I called Customer Assistance for CheapOair and a very nice and efficient young man named Melvin tried to straighten it all out by calling the airline directly. The call lasted 45 minutes and by the end he had managed to get them to recognize our reservation, book our specific seats and have them tell him that their system was crashed and no one could get boarding passes so we should just come to the airport well before the 3 hour limit for international flights and they would have personnel handling it. They did, in fact, process the very long line in as short a time as possible.
Next, we sat at the gate we all had been assigned and watched the flight time (11:20am) come and go with no eployee to tell us what the problem was. Happily, CheapOair sent a couple of us emails saying the new boarding time was at 12:40 for a 1:20pm take-off time. We then informed all of the other passengers of that information. Still no Interjet employee. 1:20 came and went, too and at about 1:40 employees finally arrived and started rushing us to get on the plane which had jusr arrived. 3 hours late to Mexico City which meant we arrived a half hour after the flight time for our flight to Merida. The stewardesses told us (half the plane missed their connecting flights!) to see an employee at the exit from the plane. That employee just looked confused, said she had no information and told us all to go through customs and out into the airport with our suitcases and go to the regular check-in desk for Interjet to see how it was going to be handled.
We did so and had the good luck to get a porter who knew where that was, about a 20 minute walk. When we arrived, there were about 300 people all in a bunch trying get some kind of information about late flights. My husband managed to grab the arm of a young woman who informed him our Merida flight hadn't left yet and we needed to re-check our luggage, go through security again and get to the gate asap before the flight left. Are you getting the picture? In any case, we arrived home at 1am, grateful for even that late arrival. Thank you, Melvin, and CheapOair, for bringing some kind of order to such a mess. Interjet, we will NEVER fly you again.

This company tries to charge for flight tickets cancelled within 24 hrs. despite claiming "free cancellations" on their dialog boxes for flight searches. Consumers should buy tickets either directly from the airline or via a reputable company like Expedia or Kayak. CheapOair tries to gouge customers by claiming one thing, then another, whichever might get the customer to pay the most money. Consumers should also be aware that the FTC takes a dim view of this kind of thing, keep careful documentation of the transaction, report any problems immediately to the credit card company (as I did -- successfully). A company cannot say "free cancellations" online, charge for the cancellation, and tell the customer the cancellation will cost even more than they tried to charge.

"I cancelled your ticket because you requested a refund," "No I did not. I only asked why I could not check in and now a refund, how did we get here?" He continued to talk over and tried to shut down my request for my paid ticket asking that I re-book on their website. I already paid for a ticket, why book another one? I requested for a supervisor but was left on hold for over 30 minutes. I called customer care as I wanted to know how dates are changed automatically without notifying me and I was asked to pay 800$ more to fly on 1st Dec. I had no clue about the happenings and I requested for explanation and the guy over customer care told me either you pay extra 800$ or if you cancel 75$ per person including the infant will be charged and cut the call. I called again and explained everything once more then the 2nd guy told me if you want the same departure which is 1st of Dec then pay 670$ more and take two stops with 7-hour extra layover at New York. I was so upset and tired of making them understand that I have not done any mistake for which I am getting penalized.
I requested for cancellation and again this guy told me cancellation fee is 75$ per person including the infant. However, he transferred me to the cancellation department but after waiting for a long time call got disconnected and I had to call again. Finally, the last guy canceled it charging 25$ per adult and no charge for the infant. It's a horrible site to book air tickets as they are just making customers fool in the name of giving low fare. I don't even know where to begin. I have never dealt with such utterly poor service, confusion and incompetence in my life. It got so bad it became nearly laughable. We thought they would be a good option as the flights were cheaper to Portugal through them. We paid for the price difference with over 20-30+ hours of phone calls, constant flight changes, long wait times, confusion, and poor service. They hadn't even sorted our return flights before we left for vacation, and we had booked 6 months in advance! They were polite on the phone for the most part, as were we.
We were travelling with another couple, and what was so frustrating is that they would send one of us flight changes and not the other, or vice versa. They booked the wrong seats and still charged us, and then we had to spend another 2 hours on the phone getting a refund. We also had to call long distance while on vacation in Europe, which cost a lot of time and money. They would apologize, and still constantly mess up flights. No matter what the cost savings, all 4 of us would never, ever use them again. Be warned!
This customer had a flight for September and there were 4 different airlines involved. One or more of those airlines under went major schedule changes in their operations causing the flights to no longer work together, and the customer not agreeing with the new changes. As a travel agency, we do not have any control over these airlines, and when they decide to make a change to a time, or cancel a flight due to changes in their operations, we can only provide the options to the customer as the airline presents them.
Yes there were times when they only received emails with a portion of the itinerary updated, mainly because the other airline hadn't come through yet, but in the end they received what was needed. As for the seats, when you select seats on certain flights, and those flights get canceled, you will loose the original seats because that flight doesn't exist. The customer was assigned random seating in which they didn't like, so we refunded them the seat fee. We had done everything they asked, and managed to complete a reservation for them with many obstacles thrown our way by 4 different airlines changing schedules customer's were not happy with.
We do realize that changes in airlines operations can be an inconvenience, but we try our best to get the best alternative options from the airline, and at times there just isn't any "better" choice, and it can be stressful, but we did handle a situation that was totally out of our control and the customer was satisfied with the flights and had a lovely vacation in September.

Now here is the fun part, first I take full responsibility for misspelling my mother in law's first name by one letter, completely on me as I didn’t even think to see if it was spelled with one L or two.
I tried to edit this online through the website and was directed to customer service chat, and after explaining what the issue was twice and being disconnected twice I decided to call. I called and was told I couldn’t change the letter in the name (it is one letter) but they could reissue the ticket for a fee of $85 dollars...and that the ticket as is can’t be used by my mother in law because her identification would not match the booking information. So it’s either lose $213, or pay in total $298. I get that I made a slight error with a letter in her name, but I think that’s one heck of an expensive letter. Lesson learned on using this company, enjoy the $213 CheapOair, you obviously need it more than I do. I booked Nov 16 2018 to Nov.18th. My itinerary said Nov To Nov. 18th but when I arrived they wouldn't allow myself and family to board. They stated that we were booked on the 19th of Nov. which all my paperwork that I received from CheapOair stated Nov.16th to 18th and that is what I had booked, we couldn't get time off from work. That was a trainwreck when we were forced to call work the next day at the very last minute. I have spent about three hrs. on a conference with spirit and CheapOair while everyone fighting back in forth, blaming each other on who was at fault.

Turns out they charge a $50 cancellation fee, so was stuck with CheapOair. Now I'm kicking myself for not reading the fine print. Cancellation process is also a hassle since you have to call in to cancel and can't just do it on the website. Stay away from CheapOair -- cheaper options available with no cancellation fees and 24 hours free cancellation!

I am so unhappy with my flight plan. My flight which is only 4 hrs total has a 5 hr layover and my return flight has a 8 hr layover, for more money than straight through Alaska Airlines. Not to mention the layover we are sitting here for is on an island with only expensive ferry service to mainland and we were the only people to have to deboard the flight is actually connecting to our destination, which would have gotten us there 4 hrs earlier today. I called to request changes for the return flight and was talked down to by the representative. Also they say I have to call back after my initial flight in order to request changes for my return. My husband and I paid 1200 dollars for our flights 3 weeks ago and it’s actually about the same or cheaper today through the airline, yet it states we saved 93 dollars per ticket. How exactly is that if it’s cheaper through the direct airline today to book the same flight or the shorter version?

This company will do anything to take advantage of people. I called to change a ticket for my terminally ill uncle, so that he didn't have a 16 hour layover. When I spoke with the airline they said it was $170, but I had to change it thru my booking company and that it might be a little bit more because they might have their own fees. Well when I called CheapOair they wanted $650 to change one connecting flight and tried blaming it on the fees of the airline, ha because I just spoke with them and we know that's not true. Well once that was settled to $280 and we only change one connecting flight, but they caused other problems with the extra legroom seat I paid for him to have on his 15hr flight, which isn't the flight we changed.
The airline says CheapOair changed his ticket for that one too causing us to lose the extra $80 we paid to have the extra legroom seat. Even though I explained to the rep that we already paid for it, he said all I needed to do was contact the airline and just have them link the seat to his new number, but now they won't take responsibility for it. I have been dealing with them over this issue for at least 5 days and it has been nothing, but a headache on every aspect with the company. I will never, ever use them again and will make sure no one I know ever uses them either.

Unfortunately, we needed to change plane reservation at last minute due to sudden death of his paternal grandfather on October 23, 2018. Booked new flight for my grandson for 11/17/18... price cost 354.00 - a price difference of $227.00. I have written so many E-mails, contacted customer service and spoken to agents re: this price difference. I want a refund of $227.00. On 10th October, I bought a ticket from Stuttgart, Germany to Sibiu, Romania and the same track back on the ** site. I have paid with my card, and the bank confirmed me that they saw the transition. The problem is that I haven't got a ticket only an email with a document, on which I can find my name, the date of the both flights, but nothing else. Is this the ticket, is it enough to show this in the airport by the check-in? There is no QR Code or barcode in the document. Please send me the ticket, if it's required. Thank you very much!
Mirjam, tickets are electronic therefore you will only receive the ticket number from us. You go onto the airlines website 24 hours prior to departure and checkin, and print your boarding passes, that's where you will see the bar code. If you need anything further, please contact our office.

I go online to book my vacations about once every other year so I forget what it's like to deal with the constant price changes and get overwhelmed easily. I noticed that when I was making reservations five months in advance to fly from MN to Florida, the flights seemed to fill up fast. So I panicked and bought 3 tickets for my destination. I couldn't sleep all night because I wasn't confident with my hurried decision and I called CheapOAir within less than 24 hours of booking those flights. I asked to changed the dates to something very similar to what I had, but different times of day. I was charged $118 per ticket. I had also purchased all the possible insurance I could purchase to protect myself financially which I thought included changing my mind about my flights for no additional cost.
So within about 36 hours of my original purchase, I thought I could change my flight for the second time and this time I would demand at no extra cost. The worker insisted that there would be another $100/seat fee because it had been more than 24 hours since I booked my original flight. I said "No Thanks, I already paid for my tickets more than once." Then the worker said it would be $80 per seat to change and when I refused to pay that again, the worker said $60... So what's the deal? I won't use CheapOair again. Not happy. I will have to slow down and not panic when it says "only four seat left" at whatever price... Those seats are constantly getting sold and resold and I feel like I got totally conned.

I booked a return flight from Vancouver to London. The return flight had a layover of a couple of hours in Phoenix. I phoned CheapOair within 24 hours and asked to be able to just stop in Phoenix as I had some business to deal with there. So I made the request within 24 hours. I was asking for a simple change. Not asking for any monetary credit. Just wanted to get off with my luggage in Phoenix.
Then I got a complete runaround and wasted almost 2 hours online with numerous holds to "in theory" check with airlines and superiors. During one of the long holds, I checked online myself and found out that the same ticket I had bought less than 24 hours ago was now priced for $121 less. When I asked about simply canceling the ticket. I was told that I could not do that even though it was within the 24 hour time period. Their reason was that I had booked it in Canadian dollars and if I had booked it in US dollars the 24 hours would have applied.
Now I find this very discriminatory. If Americans get 24 hours to cancel their flights why don't Canadians. NOT FAIR and A VIOLATION OF MY LEGAL RIGHTS! The flight was with American Air and when I checked online, their cancellation policy was free cancellation within 24 hours if the flight was booked at least 7 days before departure. CheapOAir said I couldn't cancel. CheapOAir also said that if I wanted to change my return ticket to end in Phoenix (basically forfeiting the portion of the flight I had already paid for), it would cost about $800 more! None of this is acceptable! We are awaiting a response from the Canadian Customer Service of CheapOAir.

We do not have any way to book as we do not have our credit cards with us and no ready cash to buy ticket."
This has been very short notice and It is the responsibility of CheapOair to make all the necessary efforts to book this given the following unacceptable reasons: We were the ones who initiated to ask Etihad regarding our terminal in Manila, unfortunately they informed us that we do not have a return flight in which CHEAPOAIR did not know.
Before we left several coordination with your customer service both by chat and call reminded us to accept without any choice the changes in our return flight. First email was accepted. Third email was sent to inform us again with the changes. Again we ACCEPT. After, asking again regarding our flight because there was no emailed ticket, here you are telling me that I have no choice again but to accept a refund a day before my Flight. It is the first time we use CHEAPOAIR and this is the kind of service we will get from you. We do not have any way of buying a ticket. Please be human enough to be responsible in FIXING this. I have used CheapOair many times over many years, and had always found the prices cheap and everything in order. However, about a month ago, I bought tickets to visit my mother in London for Christmas. Unfortunately, after I made the change, I realized that I had not capitalized one of my middle names. I sent an email to ask for a correction, and the next time I saw the confirmation my middle name had replaced my first name. So, I tried to get the name changed again. This time, I was told it could not be changed and that I would have to show up early on the date of my departure and ask the airline to let me on the plane anyway, which seemed absurd.
I made this point, and after more haranguing was told that Maggie in the Waivers department would help me by calling the airlines and seeing if they would cancel my tickets and let me buy new ones with my proper name; that the previous tickets would then be refunded but I would have to buy new tickets at the current price, and pay a fee. That was three or four weeks ago. Maggie tried to call me once after midnight when I was asleep and left a message saying she had not received my passport copy, which I had sent to the only email address I had. After continually trying to call the next two weeks, and being put on hold for up to an hour each time, I was finally told the email address for the Waivers department and was assured they would call me. I still haven't heard from anybody. I tried sending my passport to the email address given but was told they had not received it.
I sent the passport copy 21 times after that, but still have heard nothing from the waivers department. So, it is clear that I am being given the run-around and that I will not be helped, or maybe it's CheapOair's modus operandi to postpone such settlements as long as possible so the price will go up and they can make more of a profit? At this point I doubt I can afford new tickets anyway. What an absolutely ridiculous, aggravating, and depressing situation. Unless you are rich enough to buy new tickets in case the slightest mistake is made, I would strongly advise against using CheapOair.

It only had 5 restaurants compared to the 15 at the one we booked and was not even on the beach!!! Who goes to the Bahamas to not be on the beach?? Our flight through Florida was changed for a flight to NY and then another flight to Atlanta!!

Extremely unpleasant experience with CheapOair. I’ve been using them for many years, nothing happened until now… I mistakenly switched the order of my dad’s first and middle name when booked the airline ticket. I was suggested to call the airline directly to change the name. However, airline directed me back to CheapOair to make the changes. I was advised from the airline that CheapOair could change the name for me but needed to pay an extra charge which I had agreed because this is my mistake.
However, I was forced to cancel the ticket and ended up paying high cancellation fee (total ticket value comes to $800.00. Cancellation fee $150.00 charged by CheapOair + $600.00 charged by airline?). Total amount refunded to my credit card only comes to $150!!! I talked to the airline again, they said this is ridiculous but they’re not willing to tell me how much I am supposed to be charged as this is kinda an agreement with all the agency (understandable). Most importantly, I asked them to hold off the cancellation as I need to call the airline again to discuss further, turns out ticket has been canceled without my authorization.
After the conversation with the airline, I am sure I was overcharged by CheapOair. I would not recommend to use CheapOair again. They’re trying to do whatever faster/convenience for themselves instead of offering best solution to their loyal customers. They don’t care how much extra customer’s paying. (They had the nerve to say that I never provided any contact information) - are you kidding - who on this planet can book a flight without providing a valid phone number or email? These are mandatory entries to book any flights anywhere. And - WHY? Would someone get flight insurance to accommodate the unexpected, as in this case and not be reimbursed? CheapOair and VIA Air, here is my real name - Kathryn Esposito - do your homework and look me up for flight 4141 that departed Tucson on 10/12/18. You can fix this problem. George, our apologies for the inconvenience. Because the reservation was booked at www.cheapoair.com instead of www.cheapoair.com/mx the .com is our US site, therefore everything would be in english. Our we offer reservations booked in spanish, however you needed to book it directly on that site, or change the language that can be found on our booking site at the top of the page.

When they were flying in to US everything was fine but when they were going back home all of a sudden we have to pay for their luggage because it is not included in the price. I call CheapOair and talk to them and they said that they are just selling tickets and that they are not responsible what airlines are doing. I can maybe understand that they don't know what airlines are doing but you should know what are you selling. Because who would in their right mind buy the ticket that doesn't have luggage included in the price. So what they doing is they advertise cheap tickets without a luggage and when you end up paying for the luggage it is not cheap ticket anymore. I travel often and this is the first time that I bought ticket through CheapOair and I'll never make that mistake again.

He (Kelton?) assured me that I would save money by upgrading my 'Economy Light One' tickets so that I wouldn't have to pay for our first checked bags and carry-ons, and he assured me I was saving money on our seat assignments. The approximately $1,550 cost of my original tickets ballooned up to ~$2,275. Exactly NONE of what Kelton said was true. After cancelling my booking with you, I re-booked with you, which was odd, I know) and then called Air France/Delta to inquire about baggage fees and early seat assignments.
I was told our carry-ons were FREE. The first checked bag for each of us was FREE. I reminded the agent that we had Economy Light One tickets and she confirmed the baggage fees (ie, FREE) she'd told me previously. And early seat assignment were FREE. I have the Delta confirmations to prove it. I saved SEVEN HUNDRED and TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS by questioning what KELTON sold us. Even if the Delta agent is wrong about the baggage fees, I'm way ahead of the game compared to what KELTON tried to do to us. It makes me think I should never reward Cheapo with my business again.

After booking a flight for my wife and I, we received a confirmation email showing different dates than I initially put in. Keep in mind, we are going on a cruise so there was no reason to put the dates the confirmation email stated. I called customer service immediately only to be told it was our fault and not theirs, to change the dates would cost an additional $400. So we canceled, they charged us $50 per passenger, $100 total.
I went back on their website to figure out if perhaps I did input the wrong date and determined that indeed their website changed the dates on me again a second time, although I did not book or purchase this time. It's ridiculous that I had to pay a cancellation fee within 20 minutes of booking and no fault of my own. After 4 business days, my credit card still has not received full refund. The refund is broken up in multiple payments, very frustrating that it takes them seconds to receive payment, but days to refund money to customers! I plan on report CheapOair to the Better Business Bureau if they don't refund me by end of the week.

I went to check my booking to see that an additional $496 was charged to the original credit card on Oct 23rd for seat selection + a 29.95 fee billed by CheapOair.
I called them right away and asked for explanation on who authorized the charges. The agent didn't offer explanation but offered to cancel the seat selection for 2 of the flights since they have not gone through yet... but said I have to call United to get my $292 for the seats selected on the third flight. I asked for a refund of that fee as well. She said it would take up to 3 weeks... I have filed a refund with United and hopefully it goes through... How can they make decisions like that on my behalf is beyond me??? And keep my card on file and charge me... I called to make reservations rather than online as their advertising indicates you may get a better price. I had already checked online rates. However the agent was unable to find the low price online for the same day. Based on his recommendation that he was giving me the best price on an alternative date I made reservations on the phone thinking I had 24 hours to find a better price or cancel. I called back almost immediately when I saw online what I wanted was available to change to my first choice.
Again I was reassured that I was getting the best price so I said, "Well I will cancel it if I can get it online as it was less than 24 hours of buying it." Well indeed I was able to book online on the day I wanted for a better price. Easy Peasy to cancel within 24 hours, right? NOT! When I explained what happened I was told there was a $50.00 charge per ticket to do this. He was very demeaning to me and pulled up the little I (information) by the 24 hour guarantee notice. He read out loud like I was an idiot and sure enough read the fine print they can charge a fee even within 24 hours and the low price guarantee didn’t cover either as my lower rate was on a different day which I asked for in the first place.
So they won a technical victory but not a customer service first victory. After literally being on the phone over two hours and talking to 4 different agents (my call was dropped so I started all over). A supervisor waived the fee. By then it was after midnight and I tried to finish in the morning. The agent insisted I had to stay connected. In my frustration my husband took over. I know this is long. Even though I’ve been told it will be waived (eventually). It was taken out of my account and I must wait two weeks for it to be resolved. Meanwhile both charges are on my Visa. Bottom line: THERE IS A $50.00 CHARGE TO CHANGE OR CANCEL WITHIN 24 HOURS. I am not sure why I could do what I wanted online and a agent couldn’t give me what I wanted in the first place.

I Inadvertently booked tickets with CheapOair for my son, his fiancé and her little boy to fly from SLC to PDX prior to Thanksgiving. That part was my mistake. I was trying to book quickly while at work and thought I was on Alaska Air's website not CheapOair. However, they charged me more than what I was told I would be charged and was more than I would have paid if I was on the Alaska website as I intended. I was also not able to put in that my grandson has a peanut allergy nor was I able to select seats. Since our grandson is 6 yrs old he obviously needs to be seated next to at least one of the adults he is traveling with.
Almost immediately (within 6 minutes) after booking my cell phone started blowing up with calls from CheapOair. I had 8 calls with no messages in a 2 hour period. I was at work so I was not answering. When the 9th call came in I picked up to be met with a man with a very heavy Indian accent rambling almost incoherently about my flights and asking me to confirm the name of the child traveling with me... First he is not traveling with me. He is traveling with my son and his mother. I thought it odd but I gave him the name. He thanked me and then began chattering again in circles and talking about seats. I finally pieced together. He was wanting me to pay a fee to guarantee a seat...
By this point (15 minutes into the call) I was angry and agitated and pushed back demanding to know why he was saying they didn't have seats and I had to pay money. Then he changed his story to they have seats but they can't be told where they are until they check in at the airport the day of the flight. Unless of course I paid more for an upgraded seat. After I told him I wasn't paying them more money than I have already paid and that I was going to cancel because I felt they were scamming me he said that they did have guaranteed seats and at least 1 adult would have a seat with the little boy. I spent almost 40 minutes on the phone going round and round with these people and still have an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach about this flight. Obviously my credit card company does too because they flagged this as a fraudulent charge and if I actually made it.
I also asked him to note that the child has a peanut allergy and he seemed to be confused by this and not sure what to do so he rambled on about I can call the company myself if I think that's a big deal and tell them. I checked the Alaska website and using my son's name and E ticket number that was in the confirmation email and they do show the three tickets I purchased which made me feel a little better about this situation but they also would not let me select seats for the kids. And while on the website I noticed they have lowered the fare on these tickets even more since I purchased 48 hours ago. So the price dropped $30 on top of the inflated price that CheapO charged me.
Now they have blown up my phone again with 3 more calls and no voicemail when I refuse to answer and they have been spamming my email non-stop as well in the past 48 hours. Don't bother buying the trip cancellation insurance either from these people. It's a scam and you will never get your money for a cancelation back. Live and learn I guess. I just pray the kids go to the airport on the day of their flight and it goes off without a hitch. Thank God I only booked one way tickets with these people and the kids are on a different airline going home and I booked them directly.

After booking the flight, I immediately realized I did not enter our middle names which is a must for international flight. I called and notified them of the mistake (about 15 minutes after purchasing). They charged me $118 to add our middle names!!! I was quite upset but I paid the fee.
After a couple of days, I checked the airline's website to confirm the checked baggage and found that it wasn't included. I called CheapOair and explained but they told me I didn't pay for it. I had to argue with the customer service person that I did in fact pay and finally got the rep to "send my issue to the department that handles baggage". I was not allowed to speak to those people directly. The next day I received a "Baggage Confirmation" email that had no explanation. Once again, I called CheapOair to explain that I paid for (2) checked bags for the entire flight (both legs) for $125. This time, the customer service rep was extremely rude and told me there was nothing they can do and if I wanted the checked baggage on the 2nd flight I would have to pay extra. I was unable to get anywhere so I ended the call. A couple of days later I again called CheapOair to explain the situation. Thankfully, this time the person was much better, and after much explanation, provided me a refund that covered the checked baggage for the 2nd flight.
The rep then connected me to the airline where I had to pay the fee for the extra baggage. Ultimately, my problem was solved but it was extremely difficult and took a considerable amount of time. After everything, I will never do business again with this company. Also, during the process, I found that the checked baggage fee for the airline is only $110... CheapOair tacks on an extra $15 dollar fee just for the checked baggage! This is of course on top of the $118 fee they charged me to add middle names to the flights.

Unfortunate as it was, a representative called the following morning and fixed the previous issue. Maybe I should have been more patient with the previous rep, but after an infuriating chat experience, I needed to end the conversation.

Tried booking a ticket, for the system to immediately ask if the name spelling was correct. It was not, it had been changed from what I typed. So I try to change in chat and was told there would be a $50 fee. So I called customer service where I was left on hold for an hour to be told my flight was no longer available. I would have to rebook with yet another fee. Complete thieves and the FBI should investigate as such!

All went well in the booking, took some time, but that was my fault. Flying around thanksgiving always is a hassle. Was booking my own flight, when the whole procedure stopped, my phone rang and it was CheapOair, they said the airfares went up higher, but they took care of it for me. Thanks.

Don’t use this company. I booked a flight from OKC to Austin. I know I entered my dates correctly. Got my email confirmation, and realized it was the wrong dates. Call to make a Change and it ended up costing me 100.00 and some change to correct it. It would of cost more to cancel so I just paid it and deal with it. Then on my way home I get to the airport and told my flight was canceled. I had to buy a ticket from another airline so I could make it home. Now I’m trying to get a refund on my canceled flight and CheapOair is giving me the runaround and will not refund my money. So I definitely would not recommend them to anyone!

Unnecessary charges - One name had a typo and within two hours I asked your staff to fix it. He told me it will cost me $25 for each way for changing an I to e. I understand that it costs money to reissue a new ticket. To avoid this type of situation I suggest as follow: After a person online ticket, please collect customers information and send email to the customer to check if all of the information is accurate. If a customer does not want to do that then it’s customers fault. This will avoid he said she said situation.
Jatinder, provide the 8 digit booking number to this reservation,

While I was booking my flight, I accidentally forgot to put Jr on my last name. When I called to make the correction, I was very disappointed to be charged $34.95 to make the change or correction. Can the $34.95 be waived?

I bought a ticket to Hong Kong from South America with CheapOair. I researched a bit about layover times and every forum I checked said that the ticket would not be offered if there was not enough layover time. Well, apparently CheapOair does not take enough layover time into account. First, when checking in we were told that when arriving into Chicago, where we were to take our flight to Hong Kong, we should take our bags, get to the counter and check there. We called CheapOair and they assured us we would have enough time to do that. We arrive into Chicago, and when we got to the counter the Hong Kong flight had already closed.
We called CheapOair and they said that us not being able to check in to the Hong Kong flight was a no show. Therefore for $500 they could rebook us in the next flight, which was on the following day. We told them that we lost our connection because they failed to account enough layover time for us to catch our flight to Hong Kong. Well, apparently it was our responsibility to call the airport (which we did) and airlines to check if we had enough time. Fortunately, we flew Avianca on the first leg of our trip and they were really great, helping us rebook our flight to Hong Kong and helping us in every way they could. I will NEVER use CheapOair again.

I was very very satisfied with the service the agent was very professional and helpful. Would definitely use service again. As always looking for the right airline for the right price can be a problem especially as it gets closer to the holidays. The agent didn’t stop helping until I was totally satisfied. Now that’s a good deal.

I had the most horrible experience with CheapOair. I will never ever use CheapOair again and I am writing this review not to express my frustration but hopefully to help others to not make the same mistake. They don't deserve even 1 star but that's the lowest rate possible... I bought airline tickets for my parents in April of 2018 using CheapOair. The flight was in May 2018. Just the night before the departure I got an email that my parent's flight has changed to earlier hours... I was very upset that such important information was sent in an email instead of a call and the fact that we got this update just few hours before my parent's trip.
Anyways... we rushed to the airport and we were lucky they could catch the flight on-time. Now for their return tickets we are experiencing much worse situation. I got an email that their flight has changed, instead of November 14th they will fly on November 13! And they will have 26 hours layover. But this is not all. I called them already 4 times and I talked to 4 different people. Nothing happened except that I got angrier every time I talked to them.
Here is what happened: Every time I called I spoke with a person with Indian accent. The person asked me exact the same questions: "what is your booking number?", "what is your first name?" And then they asked me to be on hold for 2-3 minutes. Then they let me wait for 10-15 minutes. One time it got disconnected, I noticed from the change in the music, then an email came "Callback request: we couldn't reach you, if you need further assistance please call us back". I called again, a different person asked exact the same questions, then apologized for my bad experience with other agent, then put me on hold again. Then the person came back and said I have to be in longer hold because she needed to check with the airline directly about the alternative flights.
After 15 minutes she came back and gave me an option, the option this time was my parents would have two stops instead of one stop. I got frustrated because two-stops flight was not what I paid for. I paid for one-stop flight. She apologized, then said I had to be on-hold again so she could check other options. Guess what? I started hearing a different music, got disconnected? Again? Well I called again. A different person, same apologies, same questions same holding time. This time the music didn't change, a different person picked up. He asked, "How can I help you." HUH? Are you ** kidding me?? This is what I call a travel nightmare. No one deserves that. Please. Don't use CheapOair. Because they don't deserve your trust, they don't deserve your business. Even if they seem to be cheaper (which they are not!) Life is too short, stay away from evils.

I was assisted by two of your agents, Boyce and Erasmo. They both were very helpful, patient and professional with their dealings with me. They both got me a good deal for my trip. Erasmo was very friendly and candid, but still maintained his professionalism. You have great people!

HORRIBLE!!! The company is a joke. Customer service is horrible! Liars! Liars! Liars! They do not disclose extra fees until you already bought the tickets and then charge you $50 per person to cancel it. This is ridiculous!
