All their fees are hidden in small print and loopholes are used against you to make your ticket as expensive as all of the other places you could go... I was frustratedly trying to buy cheap international tickets, and impulse-bought (was cleverly manipulated by CheapOair to buy) tickets through them. But then I find out my seat selection costs something. And I can't figure out what my baggage fees are gonna be, I'm just told to "check with the airline." Cool. But I have 3 separate airlines to check with.
So I go looking for other information, and whaddaya know! The "seat selection" isn't even guaranteed, they "make a request" with the airline, but they're gonna charge you to make said request... And then I find out that the "free 24 hour cancellation" isn't actually free, it's just free from the airlines' perspective; you still have to pay $50 per passenger for domestic flights and $75 per person on international flights. I called them to cancel it, and after 10 minutes of being on hold, when I honestly tell them I'm utilizing their free cancellation because that I'm sketched out, they transfer me from cancelling my booking to customer service. 10 minutes later, no one is picking up, so I use the chat function from my confirmation email.
10 minutes of waiting for them to "find my details" I find out that the cancellation is not free. Another 10 minutes later they finally are "cancelling" my flight information, happily informing me a charge will still be made to my card for cancelling. Another 10 minutes later I finally get an email stating they are processing my cancellation. That email kindly stated, "Once you've completed your cancellation, you will be eligible for an estimated refund of USD 6680.92, subject to validation and approval from the airline(s). You will receive a confirmation of the final amount within 24 hours." So, crossing my fingers that the airlines don't hold me to some stupid thing.
It's my fault for not doing my due diligence when I saw the 20 minute countdown-timer on the booking. I'm the idiot. Don't be an idiot like me. If you're doing a quick little jaunt, maybe these guys are fine. My 3-airline, "super-cheap" ticket was gonna end up being as expensive as the rest of the tickets by the time CheapOair nickel-and-dimed me out of it. So. Yeah.

I bought two tickets, ONE RESERVATION and RESERVATION #, from CheapOAir, for a round trip flight from Minneapolis, MN, to Manila, Philippines, via a connecting flight in San Francisco, California. I was assured by CheapOAir customer service on the phone, prior to booking on line, that it's an "INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT" and the same luggage allowance for the international leg would be all the way through (Sun Country Airline from Minneapolis to and from San Francisco, and Philippine Airline from San Francisco to Manila and back). Philippine Airlines, for an international flight, is TWO 50 lb checked bags and one carry on bag.
I called Sun Country to VERIFY this was the case, and they said that since CheapOAir put it in as TWO SEPARATE tickets INSTEAD of a "inter-line connecting flight ticket", that I would have to pay for my luggage to and from Minneapolis to San Francisco and back -- same luggage allowance as Philippine Airlines -- will cost me an additional $360 for my wife and I for the round trip (two checked bags and one carry one at $30 each bag for each traveler -- for my wife and I, $180 from Minneapolis to San Francisco, and another $180 from San Francisco to Minneapolis) for a total of $360.
Now, I BOUGHT ONE TICKET -- went through CheapOAir because that's what they do -- they are internet travel agents and they mix and match flights to get you ONE TICKET -- ONE RESERVATION -- same as all my last flights over to Philippines. I would NEVER have bought this flight if I knew they were going to book it this way. I could have gone to the individual airlines and booked that way, but I didn't want the hassle dealing with all the details -- that's why we trust these "travel agents".
I am in the process of filing a grievance with CheapOAir, which will go to my state board that licenses travel agents, as well as a BBB complaint, IF CheapOAir doesn't make good on either paying my luggage fees -- OR -- changed the ticket to an "inter-line connecting flight" ticket (which if it's an INTERLINE CONNECTING FLIGHT, then Sun Country would honor the baggage policies of Philippine Airlines) and it would not cost me anything. DO YOUR RESEARCH -- RECORD ALL CALLS with the travel agent center -- and make sure you keep written records of your interactions -- VERY UNETHICAL, in my opinion!

Booked a flight for myself and two kids. Paid a good amount of money for the 3 of us. A week later they decided to change the flight details asking me to wait for more than a 32 hrs layover with 2 kids!!! Tried to phone them plenty of times, each and every time one of their reps promise to get back to me with 48 hrs... But unfortunately that never happened. Up till now am still waiting for them to resolve this issue... Have to stay on hold every single time I phone for more than 2 hrs!! To sum it up... The worst experience. Do not recommend at all.

I bought a multi-leg ticket from CheapOair, the final two flights being London to Miami arriving at 3 pm and Miami to Grand Cayman at 8.55 pm, all with American Airlines. They subsequently emailed saying that the time of the Miami/ Cayman flight had been changed to 12.55 pm - 2 hours and 5 minutes before I landed in Miami. I was given the option of accepting or not accepting the change but if I didn't accept it, a message appeared saying "...you may lose the entire value of your non-refundable ticket despite our best efforts to help you".
I emailed CheapOair and received two holding emails but no solution, so I called them today. After waiting for 20 minutes, I got through to someone who said that the 8.55 PM AA flight had been cancelled - which it hadn't, as a quick check on the AA website showed - and then put me thru to the Schedule Change Team who have confirmed that I can get a flight the following day (and pay the hotel cost myself) or get a refund "in one to two billing cycles - that is in 1-2 months. I had to wait on the phone for 1 1/2 hours overall. At least I'm told I will get the full amount back, but I have no ticket and am out of pocket for two months. I will never use these rubbish people again - they move tickets around and you will pay the price! If I could give them zero stars, I would.

CheapOair canceled a segment of our flight and never refunded our money nor provided adequate feedback on how to proceed forward to fair resolution (i.e. CheapOair credits). Instead, CheapOair demanded additional money be paid just to cancel our ticket to Santiago, Chile. I have spent over 7 hours waiting to speak to a supervisor which never returned our phone calls as promised. We called their customer service line call center numerous times but kept being put on hold for 45-90 minutes.
Ironically, they have their billing department (Keenan) call and request more money and when I ask to speak to a supervisor or the Customer Service Center to fix the canceled flight issue, I am again put on hold for approximately 45-90 minutes. How can we reschedule/refund a flight without the ability to discuss our case with the correct department (which does not return phone calls or pick up the phone)? Please have the appropriate CheapOair representative contact me at their earliest convenience.

The ticket purchase was great. Took a little extra time, but it is worth it so as not to get in line at the airport and have a problem. Flights are on time. The agent and I talked about flights on July 7. He and I both said July many times but the ticket was booked for June. I did not notice when the email came that the flight was JUN. I only registered the JU with my vision so clearly I should have noticed that the agent entered the wrong date. It is not totally the agent at fault as I should have noticed when he asked me to verify. A solution and time saving way to do this would be to allow the agent to use a chat window while on the phone. Then the customer can type the dates and their personal info without the long process of repeating every letter.

Put in two very specific dates that I wanted flights for, somehow or another their system changed the dates without my knowledge. Paid for the tickets and the return flight on June 12th had been changed to June 11th. Called and they wanted an additional 150 dollars to change it back to the 12th which I didn't have available right on the spot. Was told literally an hour or less after the booking was made and paid for that there would be a $100 cancellation fee when the date for return flight wasn't right to begin with. Filed a complaint with my credit card company as well. 2 hours I spent making this reservation which was wrong and changed on their end. Why should I have to pay 100 dollars to cancel something THEY CHANGED?

I booked a flight for my father through CheapOair back in January. His flight was for today. I wanted to confirm his flight yesterday so I visited the airline's website and put in the booking confirmation number but the flight information was not being found on the airline website so I called CheapOair to see what the issue was. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes a representative finally came on the line. I explained to him my issue and he told me that I had nothing to worry about, that he saw my booking and that it must be a glitch on the end of the airline. After, confirming the flight with CheapOair, I assumed that all was good. ALL WAS NOT GOOD. My 73 year old father traveled 3,500 miles on an 11 hour flight only to reach his first destination and be told that his next flight (the one booked through CheapOair) was CANCELLED.
The airline went on to tell him that CheapOair should have contacted him about the cancelled flight. NO ONE CONTACTED US! As a matter of fact CheapOair sent me an email 24 hours before, saying "Are you ready for your flight, you leave in one day!" When I called CheapOair to complain about this situation, the representative asked me if he can put me on hold for "2 minutes" while he tried to figure out how he can help. OVER AN HOUR LATER he still had not returned back to call, not even to tell me that he was still working on my claim. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! My poor old father who had to wait 12 hours in an airport because of this and poor me who has spent over 3 hours of my life on hold with CheapOair! Worst booking site, worst customer service... I booked flights worth $2000 international flights through CheapOair and believe me it will be the last time. This corporation is absolutely incapable of providing timely communication regarding flight/schedule changes. In the last 2 weeks alone, I have had 3 major flight cancellations which I wasn't notified by CheapOair. Every single time I called them to verify changes and every single time I was on hold for over 1 hr and 30 mins... just on hold.
Mind you, I am a busy ER doc with no time in my day to call these agents and get them to their job of communicating with the airline for changes. They are not proactive in guaranteeing their paying customers flights in the setting of cancellations. They are notorious for making false promises about callbacks, or email notifications about changing. Do not believe that they can problem solve and only looking to get your money through booking. They don't even have enough people in their customer service department to handle concerns in a timely manner. With CheapOair you get what you pay for, cheap fake service and the expense of lost peace of mind.

Representative Ryan was very helpful in accommodating my change of flight request over the phone. I would advise a clear warning on "24 hour cancellation", it carries a $75 fee. I found a better price and flight schedule on Expedia ($696), right after completion of my online booking. I immediately contacted Online chat - it was slow and not helpful. CheapOair chat online Ayler cut me off when I requested canceling, next online chat Olive advised my requested departure flight change (same airline, same day, later time) would cost extra $477, or cancellation charge $75. I called the 800 #, and Ryan was able to make my flight change and get me a further $5 discount, I still paid $50 over Expedia's price and it took over 2 hours to resolve.
So, caveat emptor, making online bookings, check flights and offers thoroughly, among sites, the 24 hour cancellation is not free, be patient. I also object to the countdown clock on completing reservation, I do appreciate Ryan's assistance. He is the only reason for my good rating. Clarify your terms. Simplify offers, get rid of the pressure timer.

Booked my rental car with totally scam and ripped off local company in Orlando, FL. The non-refundable charge looked good to begin with for an off airport car rental company. The name of the company was not provided, only the address of its location. These car companies don't care if customer's coming back, they only interested in ripping you off once since this is a tourist city. They added several extra charges upon pick up your cars. And since they had your non-refundable moneys you can take it or leave it. Some typical add-on charges are daily insurances, Sunpass (toll fee)...etc. And it took a long time for their shuttle bus to come to the airport. Waited almost an hour to speak to someone via online chat who—an agent named Sariah—'left the chat' before the issue was resolved, which was simply to cancel a flight booked less than 24 hours ago. Then I waited another two hours for someone else—to which no one ever responded, despite my "1" position in the queue for over 30 minutes. CheapOair also charges cancellation fees—even if you made the booking less than 24 hours ago—which is not only underhanded but illegal according to rules set by the U.S. Department of Transportation. With the time and energy I wasted, I might as well have booked business class on a regular airline website. Absolutely appalling.

Booked a roundtrip flight totaling $1,774.95. After booking, my debit card was charged double the amount and my account was overdrawn by almost $700! The 3 charges on my card were $897.03, $897.03, and $827.07. I called the company (took them an hour to respond) and the lady on the phone told me that the extra $897.03 was a "bank hold," something done to prevent fraud or something, and that it should be released in 3-5 days. That is absurd! Shady business practices used to milk the customer for every bogus charge they possibly can. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY TO MAKE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS!
Very sorry for the inconvenience. It is correct, when paying by debit card, your bank will put a pre-authorization on your card when you first make a reservation just to make sure the money is there and put aside. When the tickets get issued, that is when the card actually gets charged, and can appear to have been charged twice. We explained this to the customer and she was upset, therefore the reservation has been canceled and she is being refunded in full. Unfortunately that is how it works when using bank debit cards, the only way to prevent that from happening is if a credit card is used.

Alekhya our apologies for the inconvenience. But the fare rules actually come from the airlines, so booking with us or them directly,it will be the same outcome. The airlines have non refundable policies on their fares, so canceling doesn't mean you will get a full refund. They charge an exchange fee just to be able to use the credit, and the cost of the new airfare difference is also applicable. The validity of the ticket credit is also determined by that individual airline.

I call CheapOair customer service and not only did she NOT HELP, she raised her voice at me too. I asked to speak to a manager and she refused and said they will tell me the same thing. Nothing got resolved. I paid over $2000 dollars for this! This is asinine. If they COULD NOT secure a seat, they should have told me that up front instead of assuring me that all will be well. I would have bought a ticket from the airline directly. This has caused me, my travelers a whole lot of pain. CheapOair says the confirmation page and email receipt was a billing mistake and there's nothing they can do. When considering a Super Saver Fare, if you hover over the information icon it says: "Satisfaction Guarantee. If you're unsatisfied, call up to 4 hours after you book for a hassle-free refund". This gave me the comfort to move forward with making a Super Saver booking. I was on the phone with CheapOair customer support within about 10 minutes of receiving my booking confirmation to cancel what I thought was an undesirable itinerary.
The India-based customer rep did everything he could to stall cancellation. Looked for alternative fares and when finally pressed to cancel said there was a $50/ticket cancellation charge. I protested this for a while and then he finally said he had to "check with the airline". Was on hold for a bit. Came back saying the cancellation could be reduced to $20/ticket. I told him I would call the airline directly and when pressed to clarify who was charging the cancellation fee he admitted it was CheapOair and not the airline. I called him out on his deception. Asked for the his information and the address of his office in New Delhi. He finally agreed to process a full refund.
I received a confirmation e-mail of the refund. You'd think that was the end, but it wasn't! Received a phone call a few minutes after hanging up only to be told by the same rep that he had to transfer me to a senior manager within the cancellation department to complete the cancellation. I spent another 15 minutes on the phone with this person (mostly on hold) and he confirmed the cancellation was done. I received an updated cancellation e-mail confirmation that SURPRISE SURPRISE had deducted $60 ($20 x 3 tickets) from the new final refunded amount. When I explained this to the rep he kept asking me to recheck the e-mails received and tried to give me the run around as I if I was the one confused.
Finally, the rep sent me another e-mail from his work address (...@ukr.fareportal.com) stating: ---------- CANCELLATION CONFIRMATION. We've received your cancellation request for booking (#....). Your cancellation is COMPLETE. By airline policy your ticket is refundable. Ticket amount is $X. Should you need any further clarifications/assistance, please feel free to contact us. ----------
Notice the wrinkle? It doesn't state the refundable amount like the earlier e-mails that showed the wrong amount. It instead slyly states that the ticket is refundable and the original ticket amount. After I described the issue to the rep and requested another e-mail he hung up on me! The audacity of these people; imagine how routine it must be for them to try to deceive customers like this day in and day out. CheapOair is not a business worth supporting. I encourage you to spend your travel dollars elsewhere.

No signage whatsoever did I see. I ended up on Ft. Hood Army Base. Needless to say, I was escorted off rather quickly. I found that accidentally as well. So being it was about 5:20 am I knew I was not going to be able to find the airport in time for the flight. I decided to head back home, guess what? I found the airport in time to see my flight take off.
Again, no signage! If you do not die, or in a hospital you will not get your money back. Only a 2 hour drive around Killeen to find IH-35 and head home. I drive a Kia, and let me tell you $40.00 later in gas, I got home. So this absence of signage for the airport has cost me $480.00 for flight, another 136.00 in hotel fees, non-refundable of course. $40.00 for gas. Insurance companies do not like to give up your money. They take it fast enough, but don't expect it back due to unforeseen circumstances. On 1/21/19, I made roundtrip flight reservations from Portland, ME to Orlando, FL on Frontier Airlines (CheapO Air Booking# **, Airline Confirmation **). I purposely chose a later return flight option (at greater expense) departing Orlando at 8:00AM. I also paid for our baggage at the time I made the reservation. I followed the link on the site for baggage costs - $30 for the first checked bag and $35 for a carry on, if purchased at the time of the ticket purchase.
Once the tickets were purchased, my husband reserved our car rental on 1/27/19 for a total cost of $892.72, with a booking prepayment of $713.89 (car confirmation# **). In the ensuing weeks following the reservation, I received two "changes" to the flight schedule, the first one moving the return flight time to 7:00AM (2/28/19) and then another change (3/6/19) to 6:39AM. So, in effect, we are now departing Orlando at approximately the same time as the earlier flight that we did not want that was offered at a cheaper rate when I made the reservation, but there has been no price adjustment for the inconvenience. I believe this is what is called a “bait and switch."
Next, what I didn't notice on the updates until later were three things: increased baggage fees charges, a mysterious "enhanced baggage service" fee (which was not broken out to say what is included but I know I did not purchase any enhanced baggage service!), and finally the car rental information was completely wrong. The confirmation said that we owed a total of $1,434.09 for our car rental, when in fact we had rented a car for $892.72, of which we had already prepaid $713.89, which left a balance due of $178.83 (car confirmation# **). The breakdown on the the baggage fees that was sent with the CheapOAir confirmations was for $140.00 for two checked bags roundtrip, when it should have been $120.00 (at $30 each as posted on the Frontier Airline baggage costs link).
At this point, I decided to call Customer Service to straighten things out. I got a woman who was extremely difficult to understand and after an hour, had not helped in any way but just kept saying “I am so sorry...” In frustration, I finally hung up, but then a supervisor called back. I went through the whole thing again, asking about the increased baggage fee for the checked bags, the “enhanced baggage service” fee charged and the car rental problem. The supervisor explained that CheapOAir always charges a surcharge on top of the baggage fees listed; however, that piece of information was not apparent or clearly identified anywhere during the time I was selecting flights on the Frontier Airline site or on the link that described the baggage costs.
The Supervisor never explained what the “enhanced baggage service” fee was all about, but offered to refund $30 - to date we have seen no refunds. Also, since the “enhanced baggage services” fee was lumped in with “Taxes and Agency Fees”, I still do not know what the actual charge was and what that mysterious service included. The supervisor apologized for the error in the car rental confirmation information. While speaking with the supervisor on 3/15/19, suddenly an email appeared in my inbox with a reservation confirmation from Frontier Airlines which also included a breakdown of the baggage costs.
This was the first time we had received a confirmation from Frontier Airline - all the previous confirmations and flight changes and car rental charges came from CheapOAir. What is still not clear is the $210.00 charge for “Options” beneath the cost of the Airfare of $372.10 and the Taxes and Carrier-imposed fees of $181.00. for a total of just the airline portion of $763.20. The “options” charges are not broken out so there is no way to know what they are referring to. If enhanced baggage service is included in those charges, then it is something I did not ask for. The charges for the baggage in the email received on 3/15/19 were broken out for the first time at $35.00 a bag, regardless of whether it was the first checked bag or a carry on, and not what was advertised on the Frontier website when I made the reservation.
All in all, it has been an unpleasant, confusing and frustrating experience that has been filled with obfuscation, both in the emailed confirmations and with the 'not so much' help from “customer service.” CheapOAir is not so cheap, once you begin to uncover the hidden, unexplained costs and multiple changes to the flight schedule. I would not recommend flying through CheapOAir to anyone in the future.

They said I had a $1050 credit but when I tried to use my credit the price of the one way Quebec ticket was more money than the round trip ticket to Vancouver.... both originated in New York...
I feel CheapOair tried to rip me off... and when asked how could tickets be that expensive they gave some ridiculous answer that just didn’t make sense...! Maybe part of the reason was that just about everyone I spoke to had such an accent that we was very difficult to understand and make sense about what was going on.... take it from me. Stay away from CheapOair...!
This can be correct, one way tickets are usually more expensive, the airline price it this way to prevent people from buying round trip tickets and not using the other portion and leaving a seat vacant that they could have been sold. Nothing that us a travel agency can control.

I tried calling CheapOair from the confirmation email they had sent me months ago, and every time I called there was a message, “The number you have dialed is busy.” I was never successful in getting through to the company.
Having paid twice for this ticket, I was sure hoping I would not have any hassles at all. It has taken me many, many phone calls only to find out the confirmation number is not valid. Of course, emotions are running high because I have all my trip arranged ahead of time. By the grace of God, I was given a number from a different company online that put me in touch with reservations on United Airlines. They came up with my reservation although the confirmation number I had was not correct. They went ahead and put me on the plane but I had to upgrade because no economy seats were available. El Cheapo Air have a best price guarantee. We booked these flights and did not realise that their prices were $5,956 USD for 4 people to fly to Bangkok which is $8,700 NZD. Imagine our horror when, first of all we saw the NZD price hitting our MasterCard statement. Then, we realised that the same flights were available on Thai Airlines and if we had booked direct on Thai Airlines, we could get the same flights for $7,160 NZD - we save $1,540 NZD. Never book on El Cheapo Air without checking the airline prices direct.
When I went back to them and tried to find out what the best price guarantee was, they referred me to PRICE DROP ASSURANCE TERMS & CONDITIONS - "Price Drop Assurance is an opt-in service in which you authorize us to look for additional savings on airline ticket(s) that you booked with us, which we then share with you in the form of a CheapOair gift card. We will also retain a portion of the savings as a rebooking fee for providing this service."
So if you realised, within 24 hours, that it is cheaper to book direct with the airline, they give you a gift card but only if you have PAID even more to have this happen. Their terms and conditions specify 'Most of our airline tickets are 100% non-refundable.' Meaning once you find out the website is a complete rip off, then if you cancel the flights, you get nothing back from El Cheapo Air. Be VERY CAREFUL - they have spent a lot of money on their search engines to make sure it comes up first in every search with an Australian domain name. VERY SAD AND UNFAIR.
Customer never contacted us to ask about the Best Price Match that we offer. If you find a lower fare within 24 hours of booking we will try and match it, or will refund your ticket. Also, she did book on our .com site instead of our Australian site. But you can also change the currency on our page if you prefer to be charged in another currency.

The issue here is that you are required to check in 3 hours prior to your flight departure for international travel. Unfortunately this is not what happened. Flight was at 7:00pm but passenger arrived at 5:00pm therefore the airline listed the traveler as a no show. CheapOair are deceitful liars: We were late for boarding but they said we need to pay 150$ cancellation fees which is fine. What is not fine is that when we ask to postpone the flight for the day after, they asked for 250$ which is about 70% of the ticket price. Another thing: one time I wanted to cancel the return flight, they said we do not support partial cancellation because it is not supported by the airline agency (so I got 0$ refund). And if I want to reschedule the return flight I need to pay about 350$ which is about 90% of the original whole ticket price.
I wanted to get the story straight so I contacted the airline agency and they contradicted everything they say: "If you did reserve in one of our offices: We would have easily canceled the tickets free of charge. Rescheduling is a lot cheaper than the one charged by CheapOair. We do offer partial refunds (unlike what CheapOair told me)." Liars, Liars and scammers.

It is either a scam or the worst customer service I have ever seen.

I booked my airline tickets with CheapOair. After I provided all that the agent wanted from me, it was charged to my VISA card account. The agent informed me that I could select my seating preferences without additional fees. Two days after booking I noticed additional $209 was added to my credit card. Called the agent immediately to request to reverse the charge. Agent refused and hung up the phone. I was told to settle it with the airlines. I believed that this addition fees were unauthorized by me and fraudulent.

The automated voice message puts me on hold for over 15-30 mins. Most of the people who helped with the calls couldn’t even speak clear English. At first it seems like that everything was going good, but my flight was rescheduled 4 days before the day of my trip. I decided to cancel it because they couldn’t resolve the issue and it was the day before I was leaving. Under lots of pressure I called and cancelled my trip.
Unaware that my trip was a multi-city trip, they only refunded me the “rescheduled” booking number. And couldn’t accommodate me for my other flight. I asked to credit it to a future flight, but they just said they couldn’t because it was “non-refundable.” I stressed my frustration with customer service saying that it was a multi-city booking and though the flights were not the same booking number, they were booked for the same trip, but they would not do anything about it. It was my first time booking with them and it’ll be my last. Very unsatisfied.

I have always had excellent and accurate service with CheapOair until this time and you guys cost me money. I booked a flight from MSY to DEN, cost was posted at $79 one way, I booked a flight for two Seniors, then I upgraded the tickets for $30 each and was offered seats 10A and 10B, cost $79 each. Next day my seat assignment came back as 31A and 31B, totally unacceptable. I called CheapOair, the young lady tried to help me but she said the Air Line had assigned me seats and if I wanted to up grade the cost would be $99 per seat, on the same email with my seat assignment, it showed that I had been charged $92 each for the flight vs $79. Therefore your post price was not correct. I paid the extra money for the seats 10A and 10B, my total cost for our flight from New Orleans to Denver ended up costing me $450 for a flight advertised at $79 per person.

First they said $250 per passenger so total $500 would be deducted. Just Google all reviews of CheapOair online before booking with them. I booked tickets with CheapOair and NOWHERE did it state at any point in the process that it was actually two separate tickets. On this trip, I had 3 flights to my destination and 3 flights back. On the morning of the trip, I get to the airport at 4 am to find that my 6 am flight had been canceled. I am the only passenger there, as evidently, everybody else had been informed. I called CheapOair. I was on hold with various agents for 4+ hours that morning trying to get a flight so I could at least make my second and third flights. Eventually, they charged me nearly $500 just to make up for my first flight! This was only $200 less than my original ticket roundtrip and back! They said because of the cancelation, they could issue a reimbursement, but I would have to call back again later after my return trip.
Of course, now after calling, it is impossible to get the refund. Also, they took advantage of me being stranded at the airport at 5 am and tacked on $90 worth of fees to my ticket price that I would not have paid had I booked online or through the airline directly. They did not tell me about the fees. Terrible, dishonest, awful company. They want to drive you mad so as to get the most $$$ out of you.

My CheapOair booking No is **. I went through a horrible experience when I came to know that my flight itinerary was rescheduled by the primary airline. Due to this reschedule I was definitely going to miss my connection in US as the delay was more than 6 hrs. I called up CheapOair to know what my options are: a) Cancel this ticket and get a refund or b) Reschedule the last connection based on the delay. I was transferred from one agent to the other who did not know the answer to my routine questions. They wanted to check with the airlines. So I waited on the phone. I waited for 2 hrs 45 mins, and had 3 reps and 1 airline rep talk to me.
In the end I did not get any solution or an answer as to how much the cancellation was going to cost me. When they want your business they will call you but when you need their help, the travel agent kept shifting the blame on the airline and airline on the travel agent. All in all, I did not get any solution and I lost 3 hours of my work time. I also paid extra to book seats of my choice, but eventually did not get, my choice. Yet the seat booking charges were not refunded. This is CHEAT travel agent, they will not help you when you need them. Extremely dissatisfied. Will NEVER ever use their service.

I was booking a flight from Edmonton, Alberta to San Jose, Costa Rica. The original flight price on CheapOair was listed under 1000. Upon submitting my booking form, a new browser window popped up and told me the price had increased to 1500, and asked me to submit this charge to my credit card (um...no thanks?). A rep called me almost immediately and said my price had gone up to over 1600. She insisted the price was only 100 higher than my original charge. For those of you keeping track, this is in fact about 700 more than my original cost expectation.
I cancelled the booking after her insistence that I was incorrect about the cost of my trip. Fun fact, the representative also asked that I close my CheapOair browser windows so that there "weren't any conflicts" (?). This seems like a pretty convenient way to remove evidence during a conversation. Also, (sorry this is going on forever) it was extraordinarily difficult to create an account to submit a review on CheapOair's website, which is why I've posted here. I noticed on my charge card separate charges for CheapOair and the airline I used. I went to the airline directly and input the flight search for the same flight and realized that the flight total was cheaper than what I paid CheapOair and that the two charges were all the fees paid to CheapOair. I thought I had 24 hours to cancel but discovered that their fees were non-refundable. The airline ticket could be refunded within that period but not the several hundred dollars spent booking 7 tickets. I will not use CheapOair again. I have had several issues with them in the past with hidden fees and this time booking several tickets at once really caused the fees to stand out. Don’t use them!
The fees are not hidden and are listed in the terms and conditions. As a travel agency, we do charge a service fee, that is how we run a business. Airlines stopped paying commission to travel agencies since 17 years ago, and many travel agents went out of business, or had to charge a fee to stay in business. Our apologies for the inconvenience she experienced.

The representative was hard to understand as she was speaking very fast and had a heavy accent. After my requesting her to repeat herself many times I was able to make out that she wanted to charge my credit card to select seats. I told her I did not wish to select seating and that if we ended up sitting apart it would not be a problem.
If I have paid for a seat why should I pay to select it. Additionally I think that CheapOair needs to be more transparent about this particular area. When I later checked the option online to select a seat the site does not immediately make it know you will be charged. It is not until you select a seat does it give you the price. It seems that it is a money grab and nothing more. I paid for two seats, what is the purpose of paying for what I have already purchased. What is next? Maybe a fee to select where you will put your carry on in the overhead space? I seriously doubt I will ever use this service again and definitely will not refer anyone to this service/site.
Rochelle, you have a reservation on the flight, however, you did not have an actual seat assignment. The airlines charged for pre assign seating so that you can select where you would like to sit, otherwise, it's assigned at the airport and you may not sit with your travel companion, or get an undesirable seat.

After waiting 30+ minutes to speak to someone when the beginning of my call said that the current wait time was 1 minute and 15 seconds, I was essentially told that if I cancel my flight, I'll pay a $50 fee to cancel it since I'm past a 24-hour window (seriously, paying extra only gives me a 24 hour window?!) and pay a $200 "change fee" when I decide to use my credit from the flight.
Mind you, the flight I booked is a little over $200 to begin with. The customer service representative essentially told me that he suggested I either take the trip, which I already told him I no longer would be doing in the first place, or I lose the $211 altogether. I'm not in a position to lose $211, but I'm also not in a position where I can pay twice the amount for a ticket down the road. I'm not sure what to do at this point and I plan to never again book with CheapOair and would strongly discourage anyone else do so in the future.

I had a terrible experience with this company: I bought a couple of round trip tickets and paid them. They charged my card, and several days later I received an email telling me there had been some "changes" in my flight. When I read the email I noticed the "change": They had INCREASED the price of my tickets by almost $300.00! When I called the Rep. and told them I had paid the total price (I thought they had made an honest mistake). He immediately replied that the amount I mentioned was not the amount he had on his computer! And that I had to pay the difference in order to get my tickets!
I told him, "If that is the case then I would like to cancel," and he immediately said: "Well your tickets are non-refundable"! So basically they arbitrarily increase the prices, right after they charge your card and they wait several days to notify you about the "changes" so that you don't have the right to cancel! (Since they have the 24 hour cancellation policy!!!) I'M AMAZED THEY'RE STILL IN BUSINESS!
