There was something that went wrong with their site when I was booking ticket and somehow they swapped departure and arrival location. When I asked to change it back, the customer service rep said it will cost $750 more for it and when I was looking at their site as she was telling me, I saw plenty of tickets at same price as the original. So I asked to cancel and they were saying I have to pay $250 for cancellation fee because I passed the cancellation period by 1 hour due to waiting on the phone for couple hrs. I asked if there are other options and if I could talk to anyone else, but they said no and I will have to wait another 2-3 hours if I wanted to talk to person in charge. It's ridiculous that they're asking me to pay $250 for something that went wrong on their side. I definitely won't be using their terrible service ever again.

By the time they nickel & dime you for their website's error or to add your middle name right after you make the reservation, you end up paying $50-$100 more than the most expensive airfare sites. And, unlike the airline site or Expedia, CheapOair does not give you a 24 hour cancellation window. We definitely do not recommend CheapOair.

I booked an international return flight on Jan 14th from Boston to India. I got the confirmation, e-ticket etc. The World was perfect! A week later, I got a message from CheapOair letting me know there was a change in my itinerary. I called the agency (call wait time ~30-40 min). I was given few options which increased my layover time by 2-3 hrs. I understand it's an international flight. I agreed and confirmed. After a week I got another call, same process: Change of itinerary with additional layover time (3-4 hrs). I was reluctant, but agreed and confirmed. But then, this happened 4 times in last one month. And now the layover time has increased to 8-9 hours each way.
Yesterday I called CheapOair and was told "CheapOair doesn't control the schedule, Airline carriers do, so go talk to the Airlines". Well, I got in touch with the conglomerate - KLM, Air France and Jet Airways. KLM and Air France asked me to talk to CheapOair. Jet Airways did not respond (call wait time is infinite). I see same flight on Google Flights and Expedia but now with higher rates. This morning CheapOair told me there are no seats available in the same class when the flight was booked. "You'll have to accept additional layover option or cancel the ticket." I am traveling next week and now I have to either pay extra money which is 3x the amount I paid a month ago or travel 18-20 hrs extra (?!). Great work CheapOair! Your Scheduling Team should get an ISO certificate. Hope this review helps CheapOair.

Updated on 03/02/2019: After my last post about CheapOair ruining my vacation by booking me on a flight then telling me a week later they actually didn't they contacted me with an email. Maybe worse customer service than the first time when they couldn't get me the flight they promised they wanted to charge me more on a different date. They claimed I "cancelled" my booking and was not charged for it. This is true, however this happened after I was told very late and very surprising that my flight was no longer confirmed. When they so graciously offered me a new flight for more money on a day I couldn't take, I rejected. Apparently that means I cancelled on them. Please do not book CheapOair and tell anyone you know not to as well! Worst service experience of my life.
Original Review: What a mistake. Flight cancelled a week after booking. Already booked my hotel, best they would offer me is a flight on a different day that would cost me $400 more for my wife and I. Never book with CheapOair unless you want to spend way more than you plan to and enjoy spending hours on the phone to try and not get charged for a flight that your no longer allowed to go on. BRUTAL.

The agency does not give any information of the charges done to your credit card, first, when I booked the flight, the initial cost was 252 USD - and after all the fees and charges, the flight ended costing $534 USD, they never confirmed this amount before the purchase ended, they only confirmed a partial amount, and then afterwards they kept charging additional concepts such as "post booking charges" and "Agency Fees", plus the protection plan is useless unless you have a serious medical problem. I also had to cancel this trip due to a personal matter, and the agency made an additional $50 USD charge only for cancelling, despite this, the flight is non-refundable and there is no benefit whatsoever for this ridiculous fee or any benefit for cancellations.
This agency is a FRAUD. I would seriously recommend to any customer to perform the bookings directly with the airline in order to avoid all these hidden fees. The problem is that they have my credit card number and they are able to keep charging additional fees, my bank states that they can not resolve the problem because I actually made contact with the fraudster (the agency).

The day after I had completed my booking I found that I would not have enough time to complete my business so I contacted CheapOair and asked if I could change the flight. Omar was the agent who explained that I was within the 24 hour time frame to make the change. The airline had a set schedule so I had to extend my trip longer than planned but it all worked out. Updated on 03/01/2019: My flight got cancelled and later was rescheduled, but in order to receive my new ticket I had to struggle with the customer support. I called in many times and they used to put me on hold for more than 15 min every time. In fact once I was on hold for more than 20 min so I hung up (I was making an international call every time). Are you suppose to deal with your customers like this? Such a poor customer service.
Original Review: I regret booking my return ticket with CheapOair. I had flight from Karachi to Stockholm. They changed my schedule of returning and also increased the time of connection. They informed me via email and indicated that they won't be responsible if I don't accept this change. Forcefully changing the schedule and not even giving any other option is so not customer friendly act.

It would be advisable that they only offer flights that are checked as available. Since when you choose them, and you do the whole purchase procedure, it appears that one way or the whole flight is not available!! Another suggestion, it would be useful to have in your personal chats that speak different languages. It was in that situation that a girl immediately helped us, by phone, and we want to emphasize the patience, kindness and perseverance that she put to solve the problem. I hate when businesses only make a half-hearted attempt to service their customers. I must've made the account years ago, because it's in my email address but my ex-husband's name. So I asked to have it changed, and they told me IT WASN'T POSSIBLE to change the name associated with an email address. I've bought tickets from CheapO for years. This seems like a really stupid way to force customers to switch to Priceline, but that's the way this has played out.
The account needed to be recreated, we did advise the customer that making changes to the name on an account violates privacy laws. As a company we do not know if we have permission from the person who's name is currently connected to that email address. Very sorry that the request couldn't be accommodated.

Initially I made reservations for 3/6-3/12 to Orlando. Received email confirmation and the charge was pending on the credit card. After checking I noticed I had put my first, middle and last name on the ticket. On my id, I have an initial, not the spelled out middle name, so I called to correct the situation. It was at this time, the agent at CheapOair told me I did not have a reservation because there was not any flight. He went on to explain that the information should have been taken down as that flight did not exist. Also the charge for the flight had also gone from 123 to 140.
After a discussion, he put me thru to cancellation. After spending hours trying to find a flight I could afford, arranging airport pick up, etc I was so let down. If I had not made the call regarding the name change I would have found out at the airport that I did not have a reservation. I am a senior on a very limited budget and had been thrilled to find an affordable opportunity to visit my also senior brother, whom I have not seen in 5 years. I explained the situation to Agent Tyler in cancellations at CheapOair & he was fabulous. He contacted Frontier, kept me on the phone, made it happen for me. He arranged the original flight cost of $123. So I thought I was all done with the hours on the phone, until yesterday.
I was looking over the reservation and noticed the seating icon. Could not open so I called CheapOair again. It was at this point Agent Ethan offered to do the seating for me. I was shocked, once again, to learn about the seating charges. Never again. Even though ultimately, thru the efforts of CheapOair this situation was resolved, the misrepresentation of Frontier is not worth the stress. Hopefully this won't happen to others, now that you are aware. Thank you for the opportunity to apprise you of this situation.
Our apologies for the inconvenience. Many airlines now charge for pre assigned seating, Frontier being one of them, therefore Travel Agencies must follow the guidelines for requesting seating. You can always wait until the day of departure and get them assigned at the airport, free of charge.

We had booked a ticket to travel from Washington to India through CheapOair. Our travel is in May. Neither my itinerary nor the website clearly states about the cancellation policy. We asked them why it is not clearly mentioned in the itinerary that it is a non refundable ticket. They simply said we have mentioned in our website most of our flights are non refundable so you need to assume!! We were looking to cancel the reservation within 10 days of booking due to medical reasons which was totally unexpected even to us. We were ready to give the necessary documents. But we are so very very upset with their behavior and their policies. They were clearly fouling us which we are not happy about. The travel agent CheapOair and the Singapore Airlines were misleading with lot of informations on cancellation.
They were not ready to cancel my ticket with full refund which I had requested them with a clear explanation from my side. Lot of miscommunications from CheapOair and the airline. Initially, CheapOair was ready to cancel if the airline was fine. Once we called in the airline, the representatives were telling us the airline is fine with such medical issues and ok with the cancellation with refunds. Later, Singapore Airlines and CheapOair started playing foul plays. Asking us to send the documents related to our case to Singapore Airlines. But Singapore Airlines changed this to, "Send the documents to CheapOair. It has to go through approval bla bla." CHEAPOAIR WAS POINTING TO AIRLINE AND THE AIRLINE WAS POINTING TO CHEAPOAIR. We lost patience after 2 hours of phone conversation and we requested for a conference call with CheapOair and Singapore Airlines to understand what really is happening.
Finally they placed us in a 1 HOUR WAIT ON PHONE TO DISCUSS AND COME BACK WITH A MATCHING ANSWER. This time CheapOair representative from cancellation team changed his own statement which he just said before placing the call on hold. Still they did not put a conference call! They simply said Singapore Airlines is not having the facility to connect to a customer in a conference!!! We were so upset!!! Finally after 15 mins of wait again they connected in a conference. Both the representatives carefully iterated the same bla bla this time. A matching answer this time and said we will cancel your tickets for no refund and "If at all your case is approved" we will give you a refund! But no guarantee!
We were totally upset! 3.5 hours of talking to customer care and each representative giving us different information. Finally our request is not resolved. We are pissed off with their foul games and comments such as "you should be aware that economy tickets are non refundable because they are CHEAP". It's just comparatively cheap but not free! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS ON THE FIRST PLACE WHEN YOU ARE ON A CUSTOMER SERVICING JOB.

Their free cancellation is not so free. Yes, you will get your flight cost refunded AFTER you pay their fee. And you can not cancel your flight with the airlines.
Oh. And they make you call in to cancel the reservation, so you can't modify it online. I purchased the Premium support package, the travel assist, and travel protection plan. I was told I could be able to change my flight at anytime, cancel within 24 hours. I was able to confirm that I wanted to fly out, but the return time was questionable. I then purchased the travel protection and while I discovered an unapproved charge on my credit card from some entirely different company, my credit card company had to mail me a new credit card, and in the middle of this - my travel insurance purchase was declined due to the credit card issue. I called to update the payment once my card arrived - but they refused to do this and told me to call the insurance company directly. In the end, I am taking my entire family on a 24 hour flight to another country to see things and not attend what we went for... I purchased 4 tickets to Madrid for the wife and I and daughter and grandson. Purchased the tickets on 11/26/18 for $642.67 ea. Happy with experience. On 2/2/19 I pulled the reservation and printed off my computer. I noticed that my daughter and grandson had an spelling error. One letter mistake. I accept this is my mistake, I had a 24 hr window to check the reservation for errors. I immediately called Cheapoair and asked for a spelling correction. They replied they can, the fee is $210.00 per person for a total of $420.00. I reluctantly agreed. They sent me a confirmation of Itinerary changes and fees and a new booking number. They immediately charged my card for the $420.00. A half hr later he gets back to me and states this cannot be done.
Because of multiple airlines involved the tickets have to be cancelled and reissued. If I purchase the new tickets he will then refund the $420 for the name change and refund $600 of my original purchase price of the ticket. The new ticket price will be $2,000.00 or a net price to me of $1,400.00. Total for the two person name correction of $2,800.00 I told him he must be kidding? He said no, that is the new ticket price. He tried to pressure me, I told him I can repurchase on the web for a little over what I paid. He told me that is my choice but then I will have to pay the name correction fee. I told him He cannot charge me for a service he did not provide. Hung up and called my credit card company and disputed the charge. I have since received a credit of the $420.00 on my card.
I set my papers aside and wanted to tackle this issue after I did more research. On 2/10/19 It was time to get this resolved. Cheapoair purchased my tickets from Finnair. I made three separate phone calls to Finnair and spoke to 3 different representatives. I confirmed that in this instance they are required to cancel and repurchase the new ticket. Finnair's policy is that you pay for the difference in price of when you purchased and today's online price. Todays online price on Finnair for the exact same flights was $829.96. I originally purchased for $642.67 A difference of $187.29 x two tickets for a total of $374.58 That is what I would have paid if I purchased from Finnair. I now call back Cheapoair.
I was very polite, that is just who I am! Greeted the agent, told him I was calling to reissue the two tickets, I saw that Finnair had now had my same tickets for a little over of what I had paid and it is time to get this done. He stated, "Let me look at the current pricing." States the price will be $2000,00 per ticket. I told him that Finnair has the same ones on their site right at this moment for $829.96! He says no they don't, it's $2,000.00. He states that if Finnair had it on their site for that price he would have no problem giving it to me for that. Price is $2,000.00 He would not budge or look at Finnair's website. I concluded this is one of their ways they can legally rip the consumer off.
I ended the call and again called Finnair. Told them what Cheapoair was doing. He stated this is wrong, but Cheapoair can put any pricing they want into their computers. I then went onto Finnair's website and purchased the two tickets for the $829.96 each. I looked it up and Cheapoair corporate office is in New York City. I was a little surprised. I talked to many representatives and they were of Indian accent. I'm 69 Years old and this is the first review I've written. Takes a lot to get me to write a review.

I tried to book the international flight. I contacted the booking department and one of the reps offered me a price and told me that the verification process should be done soon and that someone is going to contact me in 15 minutes. After an hour and a half (nobody contacted me in the meantime) I called the booking department again and they told me that the tax fee has been deducted but "the booking is pending because the verification is still in progress".
For the next few hours different reps (who barely spoke English and were very rude) were giving me a runaround saying that the verification is still in process. In the end, one of the supervisors told me that the price is no longer available and that I need to pay extra $150. This was the first and the last time that I tried to do business with this FRAUDULENT COMPANY.

I just completed booking two tickets on their website. Ten minutes later I got a call from them saying that the booking was under review and that if I don't receive the ticket confirmation in the next hour, to call them back. I called them back and they said that they needed further credit card verification. I stayed on the line with them and they even did a three way call with my credit card company. From there they went on to ask the usual security questions, but then it started getting really uncomfortable because they were asking a lot of personal and detailed questions that they did not need to know. They wanted to know my last transaction on my card, my card spending limit, my mother's maiden name, and a lot of other questions that just were not relevant.
I expressed that I was getting very uncomfortable with the line of questioning and the credit card representative also showed concern with the line of questioning. Seeing my concern, they finally agreed that they had completed the verification, only to then call me back and tell me that the verification was not enough to confirm the booking. The amount of the purchase was not a very large amount. I am very disappointed in the amount of time they take to confirm bookings and their customer service is pathetic. With the amount of questions that they ask, it feels like they are just collecting your personal information. They seem VERY shady. I would really beware before buying on their website!!!

When I went to print out my boarding passes 24 hrs before my flight it would not allow me to... Over and over... Called the actual airline in which my flight was booked they said I didn't have a flight booked!!! THANKSGIVING WEEK!!! So the airline thank goodness had arranged for me to book the exact flight. So I got my money back from credit card. Now just yesterday Feb 14th one of their representatives phoned me and threatened me that the monies I paid them was nonrefundable and I needed to pay them even tho obviously I won the dispute. So this guy calls my phone like 3x and tells me if I don't settle up with them they would send to collections... How dare them. Now I even before the flight called to pay for my luggage in advance and YUP they took that money as well and even tried to get $75 more from me to get preferred seating. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE USING THIS TRAVEL AGENCY.
P.S. And when I rebooked the flight thru the airline (Spirit) they actually were even 200 less than what CheapOair charged me. Maybe consider changing company name to more expensive Air.com... Sincerely a pissed off one time client and will never use your non-services again. One last thing I honestly they were calling to offer me a free flight some other time for the inconvenience. CheapOair needs to make an overhaul of their service in order to attract more customers. I travel a lot not a single time I tried them and was satisfied. I mistakenly booked a flight for 18th instead of the 15th. This mistake happened because of automatic optional suggestion date. Honestly, I realised I booked my flight on the wrong date within an hour of this booking. I then immediately called to cancel so I could rebook my flight on the appropriate date. Surprisingly, CheapoAir charged me $50 for the cancellation of the ticket while the airline itself didn't.
I tried to explain to the first agent but he pretended like he was helping me by holding me on line for some minutes and after came back to tell me that he would need to transfer my Call to the appropriate department that will help. This continue from one agent to another. Funny enough, each and every time my Call was transferred, I would have to begin from the beginning tell the agent of what had happened. I wish I had realised on time that they were all playing with my precious time. I was on line for over an hour.
Finally, the last agent that I spoke with was even worst than the previous but didn't transfer my call but instead he was like very unfriendly and unsympathetic. He just said $50 must be charged on my credit card even if I had booked my flight in less than 5 minutes. Even when I told he that I will book another flight right away on the appropriate date. What a shame and ugly way of robbing customers. Expedia will never charge a customer for cancellation of the airline did not. Very Bad policy! I will never book my flight CheapoAir, never! Undoubtedly the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. They kept sending emails stating that there were major changes to my flight and that I should call. When I did call, they gave exactly the same information as was in the email, essentially leaving me none the wiser. They stated they would call back soon which did not happen. I repeatedly called back seeking a refund and I unknowingly ended up in a game of "pass the buck." Each person I spoke to could not help and they had to keep transferring me to someone that can.
When I was finally connected, I was initially told that I could only receive a refund for US$459.31 which represented the first leg of my trip. The final leg of my trip cost US$129.83 which they were refusing to refund as this part of the trip was not cancelled. When I protested (considering there was no way I could catch the connecting flight since my first leg of the trip was canceled), I was again transferred to another department. After waiting for over 30 minutes the call was disconnected.
I called back and was placed on hold again. Someone did finally call back. However, the refund they were offering was now reduced from US$459.31 to US$219. Their reason this time was that they could now only refund the part of my first leg of the trip as that was the only flight affected. I was rendered dumbfounded for a few seconds. They are only now willing to refund the outgoing flight that was canceled and not the remaining flights, when, if I am unable to get the first flight I effectively cannot make the other flights!
After several weeks of back and forth, I am still fighting for my refund and now have a soaring phone bill. During the latest call, I was being told that the ticket is non-refundable. Unacceptable. And when I opt to cancel CheapOair charged me $150 to cancel my 2 tickets that are 2 weeks away, even though I called for cancellation within 30min!!! of the booking. Changing the connecting flights will also cost me $150. Seriously too much bs with this company, now I regret buying my 3 previous international flights with them. Family of 7 ppl hear that flights also and you just lost them. Avoid CheapOair, try Expedia - same or cheaper price and won't swindle your money.

I purchased a ticket for my daughter from Montreal to Honolulu. Upon reviewing my credit card purchases, I noticed that besides the charge for the flight, there was an additional charge of $14.95 from CheapOair, an additional $138 charge from United, a substantial charge from American Airlines, and a $2.34 charge from Priceline all of which I did not authorized. I called my credit card company and disputed all the charges.
In addition, I did not put my daughter's middle initial on my reservation with CheapO, but my daughter's passport includes it. The reps from India immediately began calling, multiple times a day, and emailing saying it would cost $100 PER ticket to add her middle initial to the ticket. It was nothing less than harassment. They also said we would have to cancel the ticket and buy a new one for a total of $150 more. When I called the "New York" number, it was routed to India. They said the additional charge was supposedly because I clicked on a "seat map", which I did not. Nor did my bill reflect this charge. My daughter was able to work with the airlines to make a note of her full name on her ticket, for no charge. This company is highly fraudulent! I will NEVER do business with them again!

I have used CheapOair in the past and they were decent (for the cheap price) but today I tried to book a flight, chose my flight, entered my credit card information, the screen loaded for a very long time and finally showed that my flight had somehow just randomly increased from $360 to $476! In the matter of a few minutes. This is clearly a scam for them to gain more money. What's worse? I went back to choose a different flight, but each time I selected a new one the next screen would claim that it was "no longer available" which obviously does not make sense. I tried this with about 3 other flights and somehow, all of a sudden, none of these are available anymore. Obviously a scam. After seeing that message a 3rd time I closed the site. I will not be using cheapoair anymore if this continues.

I found a path to Australia from Chicago for about $442 USD (one way in 2018). The trip itself took 3 days but I loved it. I got to fly over the Arctic Circle and spend a whole day in Singapore. If you are looking for a direct flight, I don't know if it'll be as cheap but I personally planned for layovers. When you book, you receive an email outlining your flights; using this I confirmed that the seats were legit and not a scam. I didn't have any issues in any of the airports or with my tickets. The airlines I flew with had amazing customer service and were comfortable! I didn't have to change anything on my schedule, but I would be careful as I'm pretty sure you only have 24 hours to change dates/flights without fees. Hope this helps (I know I was a bit nervous) and safe travels!

I said no because her deal was actually more than the online deal. She proceeds to tell me that once I make a payment the prices can change and my card will be charged a different amount. I said no that's against the law. Once I agree to a price pay for it my card can't be charged again. That should of been a red flag for me.
Fast forward 3 days and lo and behold CheapOair charged me again. When my bank notified my acct was negative $1074. I about died. I called CheapOair and they tell me it was a computer glitch. GTFOH! Yeah right, anyways thank God for my bank. They are returning my money and filing a claim. So moral of the story you want cheap tickets you get cheap service. When I made the initial call to CheapOair 6 days ago the agent Ken at ext. #** was very friendly, yet I felt was misleading. He said he would select our seats, later to find out we were charge $19.90 for this service. I was also told he could not enter our Known Traveler number (KTN) and would have to do it directly through the airline. I went online to add our KTN numbers and printed out confirmation receipt. At that time I noticed a difference of $150.00 in the price of our tickets that we paid CheapOair. YIKES!!! I even used a discount coupon code of JAN20 to make reservation. I immediately called CheapOair ticket reservation who advised me they will review the recording. Here I sit waiting for their return call & $169.90 less in my pocket. This is a terrible website. Unlike many of its competitors' websites that display flights in reasonable, chronological order, this site had a totally bogus flight that I felt tricked into selecting. So, here's how I made a $61 mistake. I was booking a round trip flight from Nashville, TN to Grand Rapids, MI. I selected my outbound flight. Then, a list of return flights popped up. I wanted a morning return flight. The return flights are NOT in chronological order (see attached screenshot). But I thought they were because they went 6:40, 6:25, 9:04.
What I failed to notice was that the first was PM, the second was AM, and the third was PM, as in departs 6:40 PM, followed by 6:25 AM, followed by 9:04 PM. Since I thought these were all "AM", I mistakenly chose the 9:04 PM flight. What I failed to notice was that this flight went to Tim-Buck-Two with a 9 HOUR layover. Yes, 9 HOUR LAYOVER. The arrival time in Nashville was 11:45 PM. Moments later, after I'd paid for the trip, I was horrified to see that return trip got me home at nearly midnight! This seems almost intentionally misleading and confusing. And if not misleading, then it is downright stupid. Despite calling CHEAPOAIR immediately, it still cost me an additional $61 to change the flight to one of the earlier flights. I strongly advise you to NOT use this company's website. It seems intentionally confusing and their call center, in India, made a quick $61 off my mistake.

I booked two tickets on British Airways on CheapOair.com. I received my tickets and my card was charged for the tickets. A few days before the flight, I got an email claiming that there is a change in the timing of the flight and that I had to call their customer service department. I checked with them (Cameron) and they claimed that the airline has canceled the first flight segment. While they kept me on hold, I checked with the airlines and found out that this is not true. When the agent came online again I told her this information and then she decided to transfer me to another colleague (Charlotte). I told her that the claim about flight cancelation is not true and that I would not accept any changes as a result.
She then proceeded to give me a runaround asking to reverify all the information again. I asked to speak with her supervisor. She then very rudely refused. When I insisted, she put me on hold and then she hung up!!! I will go to the airport at the right time and date. If I am not boarded as per the ticket, CheapOair.com will definitely hear from my lawyer. Immediately they call my mobile and started to offer me the cheaper prices and make empty promises on getting that ticket. Then they put you on hold and on hold. After more than an hour waiting, they sold the ticket to someone else. I tried again buying the following day; in fact about several times because of the cheap prices they advertised. The end result is the same.
To sum everything up, CHEAPOAIR advertise attractive cheap prices to get you then they call you to try to jack the price up, put you on hold on the phone while pretending to negotiate a better price with their supervisor. When you asked to speak to the supervisor, they will say they left. I ended up buying my airline from ITN which is an online travel agent at a better price. If you do not believe me, try it yourself.
Fares can change at any time, as all travel agencies, and the airline are pulling from the same inventory. It does take that individual airline to update it's pricing on the website. So , we have a team of agents who monitor the site, and if customers are having difficulty booking, they make an out bound call to help. At times there fare will be higher because the flight is sold out as this customer experienced, but they will help find you the lower fare. This seems as though the customer did go onto the airlines website and found something cheaper, that can be due to switching of the dates being more flexible can save money, or that airline had a fare that was only available through them on their website.

I asked why I wasn't told that the flight was unavailable and they just said, "Your flight was never confirmed with the airline." I asked why and they just repeated, "Your credit card was not charged." The key thing is that CheapOair didn't bother to send any email or call to tell me that I did not actually have a ticket. The only communication I had with them was an email, with flight numbers and gates and layover times, saying that my booking was confirmed.
If I hadn't tried to check in online, I would have showed up at the airport to check in with no flight. This is no better than a scam, and now they have my credit card information. CheapOair suggested that I book another flight myself online, that leaves a day earlier and costs $200 more than the one I booked with them. They did nothing whatsoever to compensate me or even assist me. If I had just known that the booking didn't go through, I would have booked another flight or used another service in the first place. There were other bookings available at around the same price when I booked with them. Now, I don't know whether I will be able to make it to my interview. I have been using CheapOair for several years and it has worked reasonably well for me booking the flights I needed at the price that I could afford. I went online today to book a flight I found and selected the flight that I wanted to my destination and home and clicked on it and while filling out the information to purchase the flight I received a phone call from CheapOair. (Which should speak to my frequency of usage) The gentleman I was speaking to you told me that he could get me a better rate. I am suspicious of calls like this because I had an experience where someone tried to run a telephone scam so I am very cautious of these types of calls. I had informed the gentleman that I had the rate and the flights that I wanted to choose and he said it was the price and I told him and he informed me now that was not the price?
I was puzzled and he told me to look at the upper part of the screen and in very small type on the upper left-hand side now. This is after I selected my flight and had already started typing in my personal information, CC, et cetera. I was informed that my flight had almost doubled in price? And that that flight was no longer available although when I backed out of the screen and went back to the main screen the flight yet was still there. Again I refreshed, selected it again and it did the same thing. The price changed once I started putting my information. I was told by the gentleman that called me about the flights that are the flight prices on the screen that you select from aren't really the prices anymore. What she selected they change them???
I am appalled by this practice. In my line of work when I give a price to a client I have to stick to it even I lose money. It is unacceptable for them to post prices and after you choose your flights and are entering your information they change them. I will be following this up to every agency I can complain to. This practice is appalling. I will be looking elsewhere for my flights. I would rather pay more with an airline that doesn't bait-and-switch than through a travel service.

Booked and paid for return flights on Qantas to Australia, including aisle seats both ways. On checking with Qantas I discovered that these seats didn't exist - the row was actually a bulkhead. CheapOair refunded the seat booking charge. On arrival at Heathrow I discovered that no seats had been allocated. I was very lucky that I was eventually allocated one at the departure gate. Looks like they are selling standby seats at full price. Wouldn't have anything to do with them again.

I recently bought tickets for a displayed price of 350 SGD but has been charged 380 SGD (a mix of SGD and AUD). I called their customer support to understand why, they assured me I would be overcharged and if there is any trouble I can check with their billing services. I got overcharged, their billing services said it might comes from the company airline itself and they can't do anything for me. It obviously took them 2 days to reply to me, which didn't allow me a fully refunded ticket. That was the first and last time I use their services and only deal with direct company airlines websites now.

We booked a trip overseas on our cellphone, after booking the trip we immediately received a call from a representative of CheapOair. He said, "You did choose seats." but said we must, it would cost $39 to choose our seats. We said we were happy for our allocated seats, but he said, "No. You must choose." Also one flight he can't book because seats not released yet. We said okay and asked for window seats. When receiving our ticket, one flight wasn't window and another we weren't sitting together.
We logged into airline booking system, the truth was it was free to choose seats for most flights, the flight he said seats not released was a lie, they were but it cost for that flight to choose. We also were charged an online fee which wasn't clear on the system, so paid more than we expected. We decided to cancel our flight within 24 hours, CheapOair charged 150, but again there would be no charge from the airline. Bad service and dishonest selling and fees.

Monica, the penalties are accessed by the airlines and has been a policy for many years. If the fare is also different you have to pay the add collect. As a travel agency, we have to abide by the fare rules. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

I will start by saying, I am an avid traveler with many miles of travel under my belt and have used a number of airlines and third party travel agencies. I will NOTHING has come even remotely close to being as bad as CheapOair. So, here's my story: I recently booked a trip to Peru using CheapOair during the first week of December of 2018. My itinerary had multiple legs with a few layovers in between.
First, after I purchased my ticket I noticed that the online booking sight repeated my full name twice on my ticket. Of course, I failed to check my email within 24 hours of the booking since, I rarely do check my email. After I noticed that I called customer support to get it straightened out. They then proceeded to blame 100% of the problem on me' saying that I should've checked my email and that there has been no reports of this problem happening with others. (Lie, I googled that and in fact others have had the same problem.) Next, they say that they can take care of it for a minimum $150 charge... How convenient?! Cause a problem and then have the customer pay for it. Seems like a foolproof get-rich-quick scheme to them! I realized the shadiness of this and decided to just risk it and see if I can just get on with that ticket (which I had no problems with).
My second problem was with the airline I chose to fly out of Peru on. It was called LC Peru. Unfortunately, they were shut down by the Peruvian government due to fraud a few days before I was scheduled to travel. I heard nothing from CheapOair or LC Peru. Nobody told me that that company was no longer in service. I found that out the day before my flight due to the fact I never got an email to check in for my flight. So, I decided to call CheapOair customer support to get this resolved. They then said I was lying and that the flight is still on that, I was "mistaken." After calling three times trying to get an agent to listen to me, one of the agents actually called an airline and realized I was in fact correct that the LC Peru was shut down and was no longer operating! Then they understood the severity of this problem and tried to get me on another flight that was at the same time with a different, actually functioning, airline.
I thought all was well and taken care of and went to the ticket counter the next morning to get my tickets for the flights CheapOair, "transferred" me to. This is when I figured out CheapOair had not in fact transferred me onto this new flight and failed to transfer me, without any notification of their problems. I had to then scramble and call customer support with only a few hours before the new scheduled flight. That call then transpired for 3 hours (1 hour and 45 minutes on hold) while I was trying to beg customer support to just cancel the first leg of my flight and put me on the new flight (which was the exact same price). They refused and said that would not be possible. CheapOair then tried to contact the primary airline for my multi-leg trip (Copa Airlines) to see if they could get this resolved. Then the two bickered at each other with both refusing to take any blame for the situation with me on the line begging them to just get me onto a flight.
After another hour of finger pointing and the original transfer flight had already passed. CheapOair gets the brilliant idea to just cancel the first leg of my original booking and have me purchase a new ticket through the other airline that they would refund me for (my original idea that I had three hours earlier). I then had to rush to the airline office to purchase a ticket. I managed to get a ticket and onto the plane with 15 minutes before the scheduled departure. Fortunately, the rest of the trip went smoothly.
Lastly, this is the kicker to it all. It has been 4 and a half weeks since the end of my trip and I have yet to get my refund for the original ticket through LC Peru and the transfer ticket through the other airline that totals around $400... I have been on the phone with them for around 12 hours, sent numerous emails and they call me every few days saying that they are still waiting to hear back from the airline to get my refund. They say they will get back to me within two days about the status of my refund and they never do... They eventually call me back around 5 days later at the worst times in the day (6 am, when I am trying to sleep, 6 pm when I am having dinner with my family).
I have gotten nowhere with the refund team and it seems to me that they are just stringing me along to see how long it takes for me to just give up and they can run away with my $400. I have never had WORSE customer service. I am trying to see if there are any other ways to make them give me back my money (which they even say themselves I am entitled to)! I understand they sell cheaper flights, but you get what you paid for. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

I was always under the impression that there was a 24hr window to cancel ANY purchase (buyers remorse). Glad error was fixed immediately. Was told tickets had to be changed, therefore the fee... but of course there are no tickets actually printed or sent, it's all just switched on a computer, so that seems bogus. Agents must followed rules, but the rule needs to be fixed to allow for basic human error. Thanks for listening.

Once in Houston realized my husband was seated again separate from me. They seated him on a middle seat many rows back from me and they seated me with my lap child on a middle seat as well. This happened a second time with a second option I had found. I then spent almost an hour on the phone with them and the best they could do was find other flights for me at $1500 per person. This is ridiculous. CheapOair used to be great, with the flights you saw being the ones you could purchase and with 24 hour free cancellation. I am so disappointed. Once you get to a payment page and it tells you have time left to make the purchase, you should be able to make the purchase at that price.
Fares are subject to change at any time. Other customer's and travel sites pull from the same inventory that is provided to us by the individual airlines. Someone else took the last seats at that cost, and our agent's provided you with an alternate option from $1200.00 to $1500.00 for those dates. So when I saw this I called to make a change even if it meant to change airports in Southern California. I was willing to drive more just to get him a direct flight from Hawaii to Southern California and there are plenty of direct flights... They said, "Ok. But we will have to charge you additional $368 on top of the $1,408 that I already charged."
Here is where it gets shady, they would not let me changes my minors' flight to a cheaper direct flight. They said the flight change would have to be at an equal or greater cost. That that was their policy. I told them that I was not looking for a refund. I just want my son to be safe and not sleep in an airport for 12 hours. After the below complaint I received a 31 Dollar refund. Documents were turned over to lawyer. Beware. Not a trustworthy and competent agency. I paid for a service I didn’t receive and was refused an appropriate refund. This will be published on every review site on the Internet!
"The above booking confirmation reflects the following Flight Price Details: $534.00 1 Adult Ticket 1 Senior Ticket $534.00. Paid Seats $641.34. However my credit card was charged as follows: AMERICAN ** $180,25. AMERICAN ** $142, 63. AMERICAN ** $154,60. AMERICAN ** $668,53. AMERICAN ** $668,53. Cheapoair.com $ 63,90."
American Airlines confirmed that your agency booked the flights at 668,53 Dollars and not 534,00 Dollars. Additionally, my seat reservation was not made by you, as confirmed on the booking confirmation. Only 3 seat bookings were made for 4 flights. This resulted in my elderly mom having to sit on the 11 hour flight by herself, which caused physical stress that was documented, by a doctor, upon our arrival.
I request a refund for the main cabin booking (134,53$) for my flight on the 19 December 2018, which I requested and you confirmed, but didn't book accordingly with American Airlines. I also request a refund for the amount of 269,06 $ for the additional charge for the two tickets that I booked and you confirmed at 534 Dollar each, but was charged 668,53 $ each. It is your responsibility to book and coordinate flights as confirmed. At no time was I informed of any changes to your provided booking confirmation and I never agreed to any other conditions or charges, outside the ones listed in your booking confirmation.
I spent 2 hours on the phone with your customer assistance today, with the result that I was offered a 69 Dollar refund and the statement that I received flight miles for my inconvenience. The flight miles were provided by American Airlines, because they realized my mother's physical distress, but clearly stated that a refund has to be requested from the travel agency, since it was not American Airlines fault. If I don't receive an adequate compensation, as listed above; I will have all charges revoked by my credit card company, until my lawyer receives written statements from American Airlines' and your agency's lawyer.
This has been resolved, customer waiting for the refund to hit their charge card. One of our supervisors Prior has spoken directly with the customer.

I booked a flight for my sister with Cathay Pacific to New Zealand thru CheapOair last Sept 30. She is flying alone because of school and had to be in New Zealand on December 22 for an important occasion. The flight was confirmed and as part of the procedure, a booking confirmation and an airline confirmation number was given by CheapOair by email. On Dec 20, 2018, the day of the flight, she arrived at the airport early as part of airport protocol. She was there 4 hrs before the scheduled flight. As she was about to check in, the airline employee informed her that her booking is not confirmed. We got all stressed out as she is on time constraint as she is trying to catch an important occasion, the very reason why the flight was booked as early as 3 months before the actual flight and it is her first time travelling alone.
Cathay Pacific is a reputable airline as far as we are concerned but I was wrong to book it under CheapOair. I had to call your hotline for less than an hour. The operator kept on hanging the call. My phone bill was charged a lot. I was even chatting with someone named Humberto thru your online inquiry for 4 hrs yet no decision was made.
The urgency of the matter forced us to ask for a refund and just book another flight on the spot as she can no longer accommodate any further delay but CheapOair's customer service for that matter, informed us that a refund is still up to the management and made us wait for several hours. We sought legal advice on the matter as time is not on our side. We needed an answer whether they can rebook or if not refund payments made before booking anew with another airline. My sister was made to wait for several hours in the airport. It ended up that we had to book a flight for her the next day at a higher price.
There were no communication made prior to the scheduled flight for any problem/s with the booking which made us think that everything is right in track. On the day delay is almost always expected but non-confirmation of the booking when in fact there is a confirmation number on hand is unacceptable. Clearly the fault is not on our part but with CheapOair. Instead of assuring the passenger that they resolve the problem, they made us wait for half a day. They did not give any assurance of any sort that things will be resolve. They cannot even give us answers but instead made us wait for hours.
At boiling point we asked for refund which is always available to customers in the event of inability on the part of the seller to provide the service paid for. But even on that regard the airline cannot assure the passenger. Such delay is not acceptable. You should at least respect the time of the passenger. It is the worst airline experience for us and with that we will no longer book with CheapOair.

He wanted to charge me about $8000 extra!! WTH! Every option I gave was shut down with, "No mam. That doesn't have any first class seats." As stated I would have a holdover at Charlotte for 2 hours on way there and a 5 hour holdover at Chicago on my return flight. This was never stated prior to my purchase otherwise I would not have bought the tickets in the first place.
This is where it gets tricky as I call CheapOair back and explain the issue and request a cancellation. The rep kindly tells me she will cancel the purchase and I would be refunded and an email sent. Neither arrived by the end of day 12/20. I then called CheapOair on 12/27 to inquire about the lack of email and was placed on hold by an unprofessional customer service rep for over an hour. This is after I explained my issue to him. I had to hang up and call again to then be told that a refund will be processed on day of as the refund process was never initiated.
The refund was then sent to a firm for $189.00 less than the original price. Now a firm is making me pay the full amount as they allege CheapOair did not refund the full amount. I am now left to pay for a service I will never receive and it is very disheartening to know that you are getting ripped off without a person to run to for help. I will never do business with CheapOair again as they are legal thieves with a license to rip consumers off.

Had a very pleasant experience with CheapOair and booking our flight to Louisiana. The Customer Service representative was helpful and courteous. I would recommend this site to other friends and family and maybe in the future for my vacation with my husband. Thank you for the help.

If I could give no stars I would. Our connecting flight to Phuket was delayed for two days in Shanghai. We were given one night accommodation from China Eastern Airline and were told that this is all we got. CheapOair said to call China Eastern to argue the second night accommodation as we already had non-refundable hotel plans in Phuket which we were going to be paying out of pocket due to this airline error. China Eastern said to deal with our provider as they have nothing to do with it. CheapOair gave us the option to cancel our flights or pay out of pocket for the second night. We apparently agreed to pay out of pocket because those were our only two choices. Because of CheapOair, we have to pay our prior trip hotel fees as well as new fees for a vacation we didn’t agree to. Thank you CheapOair for screwing us. Do not use CheapOair. Spend more money and actually get to your vacation destination.

I was given the purchase price of $471 and when I got my booking confirmation I am told that my purchase price is $504.36. I was led to believe that was the total amount $471. I was totally misled. I was in shock that this happened.

Murphy was amazing. Murphy was listened to what when I wanted to depart and return. The process was quick and easy. The conversation was clear. I have never met a company that works as fast as CheapOair to get my arrangements in order. Really excited. I always recommend this company to others and I will always use this company. Thank you.
