Hi guys. Trip worked out well. I did have to make a change immediately because I had my AMs and PMs confused duh and felt you didn't have to charge me for a immediate change but c'est la vie...Frontier was fine. As expected, flight was 30 bucks seat (to get an aisle seat) was 25, and checked bag was 39. So 100 dollars each way was fine. Frontier was very competent both in Philadelphia and Fort Myers. The A-321 plane had harder seats but more legroom, the A 320 had better seats, but closer together so all in all the trip went well. I am not sure if I could have saved money by directly booking with Frontier but I doubt it. Thanks again.

It's always great to deal with your company. Perhaps I could have waited to see if there were any unsold seats but I like to plan ahead. You have excellent customer service, and I gave the agent several scenarios of airports and departure times.

Several years ago I used Cheapoair to book our flight in premium economy class to Thailand, unfortunately we had to cut our trip short because our home was burglarized, when making arrangements with cheapoair to return they charged us $586 to make the changes and booked our return in coach even though we paid for premium economy! I had to argue with them for hours about this with no resolution so I called direct to the airline (ANA) who were kind enough to place us in the class we paid for, and I just chalked it up to a mistake made by an employee of cheapoair and let it go, however today I booked a flight again to Thailand this time in business class and when I was selecting my seats even though the site showed no extra charge for the seats I selected it was charging at the end an extra $37.95 for my seat selection, so I called cheapoair to inquire and that is when my nightmare began!
The kind lady told me she would be happy to get that charge removed if I would just bear with her and redo the booking from start and she assured me there would be no additional fees or charges associated with this call. My total bill by the way even with the $37 seat charge before I called her was $5187 but after spending quite some time on the phone with her and all the while her assuring she was going to arrange a better price for me, when we were done I now was going to have to pay $5268 which she attributed to baggage fees and I informed her the airline doesn’t charge business class or even coach class baggage fees on international travel for 2 checked and 1 carry on, then she gave some long song and dance about that and this and then finally said the airline had just gone up on the price, so by this time I was worn out and just said fine book it so I can get off the phone!
But then I got my e-mail for my flight only to find she booked me in coach and charged me for business!!! So I called back, had to listen to their canned speech before the rude young lady I got with on the phone this time told me she had looked at my booking and that I myself had selected coach throughout the flight so that was on me! She did however offer to send an e-mail to the person who handled my booking and leave her a message to call me back and when I ask as to when I could expect this call she replied she had no idea since she did not know that individual's work schedule! I finally got to a so called supervisor who finally got it finished but in all I spent 4 frustrating hours of my time to end up paying more than I would have if I had never called! (So much for customer service). Oh and by the way it got worked after I informed them I had my credit card company on the line and was instructing them not to pay unless it was sorted out.
This was now the second time now they tried to charge for one class and book me in another, so I’m not chalking this one up to a simple mistake!! I also called the airline who informed that indeed the young lady had misinformed me that they do not charge for my bags and they did not go up on their fare. In fact had I booked direct I would have saved $213 with my senior discount!!! So if you book a flight with Cheapoair, DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT CALL THEM ON THE PHONE!! THEY WILL UP CHARGE YOU AND TRY THEIR BEST TO RIP YOU OFF IF YOU DO!! Check the airline direct first at least they won’t lie to you.

I spoke to an agent rather than making reservation on line and was quoted the least expensive direct flight from DFW to PBI, I was never told about the restrictions, as later I wanted to move my seat to the main cabin from basic economy, but was informed that I could not do that due to the fact that I had purchased, not knowingly, the least expensive flight. I was upset that the choice was not explained to me.

First issue is they issued the ticket in US Dollars then after the ticket is issued they stated there would be a conversion fee as the ticket was bought in US dollars. Second issue they issue the ticket, then they placed the ticket on hold requesting a passport for travel within the same country. I called and spoke with a representative on 1/22/2020 @ 4:00 pm. He advised me about the conversion fee and told me he cannot issue the ticket without a passport.
The travellers are going from Manila in the Philippines to Legaspi in the philippines. Why is a passport needed if they are going from one island to another in the same country. This company should work with the airlines to resolve this and not simply reply, "Sorry. We can cancel the ticket if you want." If I want. If you cannot permit the traveller without the passport which they do not have then YES cancel the ticket. Very bad customer service. Very bad. This company needs to get a better understanding of booking flights and establish better relationships with the airlines. AVOID IF POSSIBLE. Booking number is **.

Updated on 01/28/2020: You are just decided to send the travelers home with no explanation and kept $1,433.94. I was told to repurchase another two tickets round trip for them with another airline and will receive a refund to pay the new tickets. I did what you told me to do. Now you are refusing to refund my money back. You are a liar, you don't care about helping customers but taking their money. I paid you are $1,433.94 and I don't understand why you think you're entitled to keep $1433.94 from a single parent. You need to learn how to do your job and providing accurate information to customers so things like do not happen again. I am tired of dealing with this situation and it's almost a year with no resolution. I need my money back. You are putting me through so much pain and suffering and you are don't do something about it you will hear from my lawyer.
The response you sent to me has nothing to do with the issue because my brother did not need a visa to travel where there were going and they have already traveled and been back home. You also requested proof of purchase for the new tickets and I sent them to you but you are still determined to keep the money and have no trouble doing it because that's what you do according to many reviews on the website. I have been very patient with you and I need you are to step up and get this issue resolved. **
Original Review: I purchased two tickets from CheapOair for my brothers on February 20, 2019, for them to travel on March 16, 2019. When my brothers got to the airport they were sent home and said they need a visa to travel with the airline. Where they were traveled did not require a visa. Only a passport. I called CheapOair and let them know the situation and could not help me and was told to go book the ticket from another airline and would refund me the money back to purchase the new tickets. I did everything I was told to do and now denied me my refunds of $ 1,433.94. Until now this issue has not resolved and I even requested a credit no resolution.
Now it is January 22, 2020, no one has contacted me to fix this issue. The resolution I am seeking for treating me unfairly and bad customer service experience. I need all of my money back I was told that will be refunded to me to pay for the new replacement tickets. This is my experience and it is painful and I will not want anyone to go through that. I feel like they care more about making money and keeping the customer money instead of helping to resolve the issue. This is a huge amount of money I cannot afford to lose. Booking: **.

I had to book a flight after my husband passed away in Germany. The flight was suppose to leave Jacksonville the day a hurricane was suppose to hit. My flight was from Jacksonville to Washington to Turkey, then on to Germany. So I called and tried to leave a day or 2 earlier. Boy did I get the run around. Since there was several airlines involved I was told by Cheapoair to call them. They told me they can’t help only cheapo air could. I was told from, "Just wait till your flight is cancelled" to a charge of a 1000 dollars. If my flight had gotten cancelled I would have missed my husband's funeral. I only needed the flight from here to Washington to be earlier. I finally got a somewhat compassionate customer service rep. So after “only" paying a 400 dollar flight I was able to change my flight. I don’t wish such a treatment to anyone whose life partner has just passed away.

Yesterday, 01/19/20, via laptop I was processing a flight for my granddaughter who will be 16 before her flight. I was prompted to contact a CheapOair agent. I did and was connected with Agent Kenneth. I explained to Kenneth I was trying to fly my Granddaughter alone from OKC to OGG during her school break. Kenneth explained to me for an unaccompanied minor safety he needs to search for the most direct flight, contact the airline for their specific guidelines, and to confirm her seats. Kenneth then put me on hold and returned after a few minutes with a Safer Round Trip 1-Stop Flight from OKC to OGG versus a 2-Stop less expensive flight that I had tried to book. I agreed with the 1-Stop Flight Selection because I could see/understand the safety benefits for my Granddaughter and I thanked Kenneth for this.
Kenneth took his time to help me understand this process because of the sensitive booking of my unaccompanied Granddaughter, read to me several items, and explained to me several safety tips to share with my Granddaughter like her ID Passport/be at the airports at least 3 hours early/take Granddaughter directly to the Airport Airline Counter for escort to her flight/only talk to Airline Uniformed Staff or Airport Police, and so much more. I felt what Kenneth was doing for me was beyond just a required script reading ~ Kenneth Cared for Granddaughter's Safety. I thanked Kenneth many times during our conversation. It is because of people like Kenneth that I will return to CheapOair and his people skills that make life pleasant. Thank-you Kenneth and thank-you CheapOair for having Kenneth on your team. My experience with CheapOair was ok. Malcom was my assistant - very personable and knowledgeable, but I had to ask him to slow down and speak slower. He, at times was difficult to understand. I purchased a ticket with extra $52 insurance in case of change of plans, and later on discovered that I was provided with a wrong holiday schedule and had to change the dates. I tried to change the dates - it happened to be impossible, because the operator who was dealing with me could not find the flights I could see on my computer screen (CheapOair site) - he was offering bizarre flight options twice as long and twice as expensive. I had to cancel my ticket (with the operator's approval!) and booked a new flight. Money was withdrawn for both tickets immediately upon purchase of course. As soon as I canceled my first ticket I got 1 e-mail with a promise of refund within 14 days for the amounts $50 and $17 - ??? The money never arrived to my account.
I wrote to CheapOair requesting my full refund - and got a letter with apologies and an answer that $800 were paid to me already (but it was not). I was asked to provide a bank statement showing that I didn't receive a credit from them. I did. The statement was from 13.11.2019 till 12.01.2020 on 5 photos of high resolution (5 pages) and I sent it in 4 e-mails titles: Photo files 1, 2, 3, 4.
This is a response I got after 2 months of the ordeal: "This is in reference to your booking number 64946339. We apologize for the delay in refund. However, the statement that you have sent is not complete. We need your Master card statement that reflects the transactions starting 11/23/2019 till 12/10/2019 in order to assist you identify that has been processed. As of now we are closing the request. We request you to kindly help us with the complete statement so we can assist you."
Do I have to get another statement now, from 23.11.2019 till 10.12.2019? They can't see the dates they are interested in? I see the whole situation as an attempt to avoid payment. I am considering to take this case to Australian Fair Trading Commission.

We booked a flight that left and arrived at a certain time through a certain route. However, they changed our flight to leave and arrive at a different time through a different route! They denied any changes, called me a liar, put me through the ringer of calling them and the airline for a total of 7 calls over three hours. They lied about what they were willing to do and lied about their policies in how they would deal with this issue by saying that they cannot obtain a waiver fee on behalf of us, that we would have to get it from the airline --- except the airline said they would EVER give us the waiver code, that they have a helpdesk for CheapOair for a reason.
They lied about who would charge us the change fee of $300 per person (OUTRAGEOUS when the flight is not even for another 4 months) by saying that the airline is responsible for that charge when in fact the airline said that it's cheapoair's charge alone. They denied changing our flight but their policy states that they reserve the right to change your flight pretty drastically in such a manner as this. This flight has put a hamper on when we arrive home and having to go through 2 stops instead of 1. They refused to help us move to a one stop flight which is essentially the same flight we are on now minus one stop. The downfall of using third party agents is that they can and WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU. We will NEVER use this scummy company again. All around liars and scammers.

We booked a flight from the island of Maui Hawaii to Hilo on the big island of Hawaii. We checked our flights before going to bed and the confirmation had not been received yet. When we checked for the email confirmation not even 12 hours later, we realized that we had been diverted to a different airport, a small airport in Kohala (because it was cheaper according to the CheapoAir Rep). We did not approve this change and my wife saved a screenshot of the original booking request as the evidentiary screenshot of the original request showed. The rate we were charged should have had us arriving at the Hilo airport which is a large mainstream international airport.
The representative at Cheapoair stated that there was nothing he could do even though the error was due to the way their system is set up. Their policy says that they offer 24 hours to make changes without penalty. The *24 HOUR POLICY DOES NOT APPLY TO CANADIANS*. The representative went on to say that we could make a change to the airport we originally selected for a $200.00 fee plus the difference in the cost of flights (which were clearly advertised at the price we had already paid as evidenced in the screenshot).
The representative who identified themself as a manager did some research and let us know that it was ONLY a 2 hour drive between airports and recommended we rent a car or get an airport transfer. We looked into rental cars and airport transfers, neither exist from the small airport we were to have been diverted to and we cannot even get a flight from one airport to the other. This has rendered the flights completely useless and Cheapoair is willing to take our money for the booking without doing anything to resolve their error!!!! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE... We had to book another flight with another airline and completely forego the flight to nowhere.

In calling to update my name, I was quoted $200 to change three letters on the reservation, or given the alternative of booking a completely new flight. I had to wait outside Kunming airport for 9 hours, without food or drink (cards do not work), after paying 620 USD for business class upgrade through Cheap-o-air. Due to sickness, I consulted cheap-o-air whether I could upgrade my flight to business class. The agent offered me business class on a different connecting path, which included a 12 hour stay at Kunming airport.
Before authorizing anything, I explicitly asked the agent if I would have access to lounges for the waiting period. Although he did not know the information, he lied with an affirmative answer. He kept pushing the sale by different sales tactics including saying that upgrade fees will increase 50% later on. After authorizing the 620 CHF upgrade fee, I realized that I will not gain access to Kunming airport for many hours. Contacting two agents of cheap-o-air did not rectify the situation. After landing at Kunming, I requested compensation for the ill-informed promise of the agent, whereafter I was offered a ridiculous amount of 65 USD as compensation.

I had booked through Cheapoair in the past and this was the 2nd time an incident like this has happened. The website asks the ages of travelers. I put the ages of my kids as 13 and 15. Cheapoair booked them as being children ages 13 and 15. The first time this happened the airline we were flying just changed the tickets for us and had us pay the difference. It is not my job to know what airlines charge a child price for tickets for kids over the age of 12 and what airlines charge an adult price. CheapOair only asks the ages of the travelers. It is their responsibility to know the difference and book accordingly.
When I got to the airport on the second occasion this mistake happened with CheapOair, AirChina would not let us on the plane saying that we booked kids tickets when we should have booked adult tickets for the 13 and 15-year-old. The airline would not just let us pay the difference and told us we would have to call Cheapoair to change the tickets. We called CheapOair and they immediately were telling me it was my fault and that I booked child tickets. Their representative said he would help us book tickets for the next day at $400 more per ticket.
After an hour of an international long-distance call with their representative we told him to refund the tickets and that we would find another travel agent website to go through. He said that because it was so close to the time the flight was taking off he would need to charge us $50 per ticket. The company just sent me an email and they are actually only planning to refund each ticket for less than half.
I also had flights scheduled with them in March. We told him to also refund those tickets. He said those would be charged the $50 per ticket as well. Obviously a lie about $50 being charged for a late cancellation. I will be suing CheapOair for a full refund of all my tickets. It was their fault that we missed our flight and lost our hotel at the destination we were flying to. We also had to pay for extra time while we were waiting for a new flight with a different company. Overall they have cost us around $1000. The company is completely inept and will blame the consumer for their mistakes. Their dealings are fraudulent and they will be held responsible for what they do.

I purchased several flights from this "Travel Agency" in the past. I I never really had an issue where I needed assistance, which is the only reason to use a Travel Agency, until today. I needed to move a flight out by three weeks. The new flight cost is $315 less than the original flight due to the more advanced purchase time frame (if the new flight is purchased directly from the airline. I have also learned that CheapOair is more expensive than buying direct). The CheapOAir agent let me know that my new cost was going UP by $300 per person. Didn't really want to spend time on it, just told me to contact the airline directly and purchase a new ticket from them. I am sure there is a commission involved....

First of all, we noticed too late that the recommended flight we ended up booking would have very little time to get through international security to the domestic part of the airport. However it was Christmas so there were less crowds and lines so we thought we would be ok. We called a month ahead to customer support three times to confirm our seats, making sure to reserve seats that allowed us to use the airlines bassinet. We were told we were all set after several failed attempts by the staff member on the phone to update our booking.
We arrived on the day of travel to be informed that the seats we were in did not allow bassinets and there was no way to switch seats. Fine, we held our infant for 9+ hours, no biggie. The real issue was every flight, every single flight was delayed. When we reached our final connection we were told that we missed it and there was no way to get us to our destination unless we wanted to wait until tomorrow or take a two hour train ride. We had to opt for the train ride and took all of our luggage and newborn baby on a nightmarish journey and was compensated only for the tickets for the train itself. I was told repeatedly that if I had only booked directly with the airlines I could have avoided much of this hassle. Will never book with Cheapoair again after this!

Once you book the tickets always make sure to confirm with the airlines before you make any plans. The biggest scam is to confirm your ticket from CheapOair side without even getting confirmation from the airlines. So like me and several others you will be stuck in airport running here and there without a clue as to what just happened when the airlines tells you that your name is not there in the system.
Next scam is their customer service. The biggest help from their side in case of emergency such as above is "sorry we are not responsible". I was asked to call the airline service myself for a refund. I was told that they cannot send an email stating that my ticket was cancelled. And the most craziest thing they said on the phone was they are not responsible for my refund money also. I was supposed to consider this as an unfortunate event and forget it!!!!
Now after this nice response from them, if you are thinking that you will get the money back in time, you are in for a bigger surprise. So after a week of fighting, they "talked" to the airline about my refund, and it seems the cheapoair initiates the refund request once a week (hahaha). So my money will take 30-45 days at least it seems. Before you book your ticket, just remember that I am still waiting for my refund when I am writing this!!!!

Please do not use this company! In early October, I was 7 months pregnant and planning a family trip for the Spring WITH our baby. I found the flights I wanted at a good price on CheapOair’s website, but BEFORE booking, I called the company to confirm that I COULD ADD my baby as a lap infant after she was born. I was assured that this was no problem for them. With this assurance I went ahead and booked my flights online on 10/15/19 for my husband and myself. On 12/21 our baby was 3 weeks old so I called CheapOair to add her to our reservation. The rep kindly took all of my information then put me on hold for a moment. Upon his return he told me that I would have to call the airline directly to make that addition (not a change, mind you) to the reservation.
Fine, so we called Qantas and waited for over 3 hours, an hour and a half each call only to be cut off after 90 mins (I think the wait must be timed) on both calls. I finally decided to just message them and received a fairly quick response stating that because we used a “travel agent”, they (Qantas) could not touch our reservation (“due to limitations”) and that the booking agent had to do it.
Already I’m finding this suspicious, so we call CheapOair again and this time spent about 2 hours on the phone with a rep who talked in circles about how they don’t have the “option” to make that simple addition and that my ONLY “option” (aside from calling the airline again) would be to cancel my entire reservation and rebook with my baby added, and in doing so would incur cancellation fees and of course pay for a whole new set of tickets that have no doubt gone up in price after 2 months, all adding up to thousands of dollars—not to mention the fact that I would not receive any kind of refund for my original ticket purchase.
At this point I’m in utter disbelief, so we attempt to reach Qantas again and they stand by their excuse to not help us due to certain “limitations” because we used a booking agent. All of this going back and forth literally took an entire day and it’s still not resolved. We made several more attempts to make this happen (same day) by using the “chat” option on the CheapOair site...every rep gave us the same run-around. We were also told by two different CheapOair reps that our issue was being handled by another support team and that we would be receiving a call soon to resolve this...Well it’s now a week later and no calls.
I finally began reading reviews of this company and discovered that my experience is not unusual, sadly. I found a common theme of CheapOair telling the customer that they had no other choice (for whatever their issue was) but to cancel and rebook! This practice is akin to EXTORTION and this company needs to be called out by anyone and everyone who has encountered this type of treatment. I also hold Qantas and any other airline responsible for doing business with this company.
This experience has been extremely frustrating—we have been taken advantaged of and cheated, especially after they assured me they could add my daughter to our trip after she was born without a problem. I will be reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau, and writing a review on every outlet I can find. These companies are anything but transparent in their unethical business practices. We are simply asking to add our infant daughter to our reservation, a practice that I know full well goes on all the time without major penalties or cancellations (my sister just did this on an American carrier and had no problems).

I booked a flight to Korea with Cheapoair in August of 2019, nearly four months before my actual flight. I did a flexible date reservation, leaving between December 24, 25, and 26th. His The date I was given to fly was December 25th, 2019. Three days before my flight, I got a call saying that my flight schedule has been changed, and that now I needed to leave 26th- and that there would be a next-day layover. Frustrating, but not the end of the world, fine.
But they didn't confirm this new flying date- only ending the call with the vague promise that they will get back to me between 24 and 48 hours. (Keep in mind, I'm supposed to be flying in the next 72 hours- how they thought I would just wait 48 hours is beyond me.) Then the next day, having heard to response, I called them to see what was happening. I was suddenly then told that all flights to Korea were full on the 26th, and that I would have to fly out on the 28th. Furthermore, there was a next day layover- I would be arriving to Seoul on the 30th.
When I asked, "How does it make any sense that I booked a flight months in advance to leave between the 24th-26th, and then three days before the flight, I get told that my only option is to arrive on the 30th?"- The response I got was, "I'm not here to argue, your options are either to fly on the 28th or cancel for a refund." As an added bonus, I was told that even if I booked with another company in this situation, the same thing would have happened. Not. Likely. I *barely* managed to fly out on the 28th because I didn't wait like they told me to and called them after 24 hours. What would have happened if I just waited the full 48 hours like they told me to? I probably would have flown out even later than that. If zero stars was an option, I'd have given them zero stars.

I booked a flight in April for my family of 4 to the Philippines for January. Unfortunate circumstances caused us to cancel the trip. I booked the tickets with CheapOAir and was financed through Affirm (since I didn't have the entire amount to purchase at the time of booking). Total cost of the tickets (including travel insurance and seat selection) was $2558.
I put a down payment of $1358 and financed $1200. When I cancelled my trip, I had paid $2000. CheapOAir charged me $150 per ticket to cancel for a total of $600 cancellation fee. Then they tell me after all "nonrefundable taxes and airline cancellation fees", that I would receive a refund of $1432. I get the confirmation email regarding my refund from CheapOAir and Affirm. After waiting a week I received $600 direct deposit into my bank account. I called Affirm to see where the rest of my refund was, only to be told that I'm only due $125 more and will receive it via check. I called CheapOAir and they couldn't explain why I wasn't receiving the amount they quoted.
Long story short: I did the math to see how they came up with their quote.
$2558 + $149.50 interest= $2707.5
$2707.5 - $2000 (total I paid before canceling)= $707.5
$1432 - $707.5 (remaining balance on loan)= $725
$600 refunded +$125= $725
$725 refunded - $600 cancellation fee = $125 back
Flight cost if I took the trip: $2707.50
Total cost to cancel: $2707.50 + $600= 3307.50
CheapOAir never detailed how they came up with their figures. All in all, I ended up paying more than if I would've taken the trip. Next time, if you want to cancel a trip, just go to the hospital. At least a hospital visit is covered in the travel insurance!

I found out, while on the phone with them, that the support package at CheapOair expires 24 hours after the original flight is booked, and I was making these changes one month later, so it was worthless. I was told on the phone call to "customer support" that I will be able to change the flight but will have to pay a number of penalties to do so.
My friend had booked the same flight directly through United Airlines and he was charged $200 to make the changes - "CheapOair" quoted me over $500 in penalties (the ticket only cosy $449), plus the cost difference of the new ticket. This Company is a total RIP OFF. I am now on a mission to warn all my friends and friends of friends, to steer clear of using this company for any of their travel needs. Be warned!

Although it was far too much for us, beyond our budget, we decided that we had to go. We noticed it was called CheapOair but didn't imagine that it was not NZ based especially when our paperwork confirmed $830 NZ total. They offer you the option of a "flexible" ticket where you only have to pay for the difference in the ticket price once you change your ticket, the only catch is that even if the price on their website is exactly the same as your initial ticket, those prices now apparently doesn't apply to you anymore and no matter what you do you will have to pay additional fees. It seems like they think by calling an apple an orange in their terms and conditions it actually makes the apple an orange.

I booked an international flight and didn’t put in our middle name coz it didn’t flag as a required info when I booked. I called the customer service to have it fix and the agent told me that the only way to fix it is to cancel and rebook my bookings. This suggestion of CheapOAir agent will cost me in total an amount of more or less A round trip ticket to the Philippines!!! Which is very ridiculous!!! To think that Our flight is on July 2020.. like 7 months to go. It’s not gonna be tomorrow to be impossible to fix without going through that cancellation and rebooking. If the middle name is a “required” information, then fix your website and don’t let the process go to the next step until all required info are filled in! I feel like this somewhat a trap for travelers so you guys can get more money!
Anyways, I told that agent that I will not do what he is suggesting and will contact the airline directly and have it fix for me. Three days after, the airline have our middle name in our flight booking at NO COST at all! To all of you who’s using this site to save money beware and know your options! If you have the same issue with me, help yourself and contact the airline directly. If you talk with their agent, it will sound as if you don’t have other options when in fact calling the airline directly is way better than CheapOAir customer service.

Stay away as this company is a big scam and dodgy!!! This was my first time with this company and now is the last time too.. I had very bad experience with this scam company!! Their call centre customer service representatives lacks in ticketing knowledge, coordination, airline policies, not properly trained. They always put you on hold to wait for more than hour and also same when they transfer your call to their supervisors again one has to wait for hours, which is totally frustrating and annoying. They doesn’t know how to work with the names according to the passport!!
I was made to cancel my two booked flights each with $200 penalty and their $110 service charge fee, with an airline which according to them was impossible to board with the names mentioned in the passport according to the airline policy (only Given Name mentioned in passport but surname part was empty)..since they work in the airline industry and they should better know how to deal with such issues; my case isn’t the unique case as there are many people book their tickets with given names and there is always a way to fix it.. but NO they didn’t know this as they aren’t well trained for this and ask from passengers the way they want to input their names on tickets!! Like really???? So that passenger took the whole responsibility in case something happens!! They should better know it’s they who work with airline/ticketing industry not the passengers!!!
So after all that penalty and cancellation **, I called to that specific airline to know about that and They told me that they don’t have any such issues as they know that they came across such situations all the times and they know how to fix that no matter is lf they have different connecting flight too!! And their fixer is very very simple which these so called untrained customer representatives doesn’t know and finally make you to cancel your flight! Either way they are making money from you by not refunding you the full amount!! Such a waste of time and money!

When I wasn't able to check-in for my flight, I messaged cheapo to make sure everything was alright with my booking, to which they replied that it was indeed okay. They told me to just physically check-in at the airport. Well at the airport I found out I had NO flight reservation. Cheapo Air didn't follow through with my booking OR let me know that the reservation had been canceled.
I was stuck in a foreign country with no way home, and they were so rude about it. One of their representatives actually laughed at me when I was crying on the phone. They only admitted fault after 2 hours of climbing my way up different supervisors (I have a recording of this phone call). Even after admitting fault, they refused to give me a refund. I was online booking a roundtrip flight from MSP to LAX in March. A popup box came up and said that if I called CheapOair I would save money if I talked to an agent directly. I am a senior, disabled and on a very tiny and fixed income. I have been saving forever for this trip. 1st the agent did not inform me that there was a fee to use this service, he kept talking really fast and would not slow down or stop and answer questions I had. At the end he was asking if I needed baggage and some other service, both for $9.95 and I kept saying no I had a trip insurance policy already. I said several times that I did not want anything but the ticket. At the end he said it would be 277.47 would that be OK. I said, "Yes, but what are the breakdown of the charges?" He said thank you and hung up on me!!!!
I was very upset when I got the itinerary and it only showed the price of the ticket (exact same price I was getting online at the time), but he said it was already gone! There was NO explanation on the confirmation of why my account was charged for 277.47, instead of the 226.59 for the price of the ticket only! So when I called CS they said that I was charged 9.95 twice for two different insurances which I had said NO to multiple times and the remainder was the 30 was a fee for the booking service. I said that I wanted an immediate refund for the 2 insurances that I said I did not want and the booking fee that I was NEVER told about. They kept saying no, they are sorry but cannot refund me for services I agreed to.
I kept asking to talk to a manager. I never got to talk to a manager, but was promised that one would call me back. THAT has not happened! The agent finally came back on the phone and said they would refund both of the insurances and the booking fee, however, I did receive an email for the 2 insurance refunds BUT NOT the fee of 30 booking fee. SO they LIED again! I am so mad. I will be telling everyone I know and all my followers on ALL my social media this story. They are ripping people off.
I am more mad at the company itself than the 2 agents I dealt with. I have worked for a call center and know the unreal expectations big companies force on the employees. I am sure that the agent was trying to fulfill whatever the goals that the company set, otherwise they fire people or do not promote them. It is a HORRIBLE system, one that should be stopped.
Now I have to make yet another phone call to CheapOair to get the REST of the refund I was promised yesterday. Another lost hour or more of my time to get something I was already promised! I will also be reporting CheapOair to the ADA, as this is an issue that negatively impacts those of us with disabilities. Many are NOT like me and would not have been able to advocate for themselves. Believe me, CheapOair will be losing a lot more money than the $50 dollar they could have quickly given me back yesterday! A customer service rule is if a customer has a bad experience they will tell 10 or more people and a customer who gets good service will tell 2 to 3 people! The first 2 times they were able to change it back to a reasonable time where I was to return from FL around 5:30 pm but the last time I wasn't able to return until 2:30 am. I tried and tried to change it back because the trip was already paid for but to no avail.
I'm sitting in the airport now because I had to check out of the house and return the rental vehicle. I've been sitting here for 9 hrs already and the plane doesn't depart for another 3 hrs. Can you imagine how frustrating that is and when I arrive to my home airport I couldn't ask anyone to meet me at 2:30 in the morning because they have to get up and go to work. This is terrible. I have attempted to book airfare San Francisco - Copenhagen for two days. CheapOair published an online rate and also offers a $50"sale" code. I selected flights, entered passenger and payment info, then got a message that the fare was no longer available. I was directed to a fare $50 higher per person. Again, I entered passenger and payment info and the purchase appeared to go through. However, instead of confirmation I received email that the booking failed. So I called the travel agency and was told that pricing is dynamic and neither of the fares I tried to book were available.
Next I booked a third time at an even higher rate. This time the booking worked, but there was never an opportunity to enter the $50 discount code so I called again. The agent told me that the discount was already built in (then why list a code on the website, inferring a discount?). Today, I looked again and the middle of the three fares - $50 less than I paid per person - showed as available so I called again. Customer service told me that the lower fare had expired two days prior, and that she wouldn't be able to do anything regardless since it had been more than 24 hours.
She also explained that the $50 promo code didn't work since the CheapoAir fee on my flight was only $50 (didn't show anywhere, as that's between the agency and the airline) and they only offer the Black Friday discount in cases where there is a higher agency fee. In summary, rates published are out of date and agents on the phone don't really know what they are talking about. I spent over four hours on the phone (three calls, including being on hold for nearly an hour to get from a booking agent to customer service) and paid $150 per ticket more than the website lowest published rate for the same flights. I've worked with CheapoAir before and did not have this experience, so wondering if they have grown faster than their infrastructure can support. The service was terrible.

I bought round trip tickets for 4 of us (7 months before actual travel date) for a long haul flight (17hrs one way) and purchased, for an extra fee, enhanced seat assignment since I was traveling with kids (to ensure we sit together). 10 days before the travel, when I log in to the airlines site, I notice that my seat assignment has changed. The reason I purchased the enhanced seat assignment was to avoid this and when I called up Cheapoair, they politely said that it was airlines rescheduling and they couldn't do anything and refunded the fees.
When I contacted airlines (Singapore Airlines) they mentioned to not have received any additional payment from the agency for seat assignment and this was a hoax. Now, I have two middle seats in two separate rows, with two kids assigned to a different row. My issue is with Cheapoair charging the fees if they are unable to confirm the seats. And when they do not inform me in time about the seat change, I am unable to get the airlines to change it because of the short notice (less than 10 days to travel). Even if Cheapoair has refunded the fees, it doesn't help solve the problem!

This airline facilitator seems legit at first...until you check out. I attempted to book a flight from Austin to Washington National Airport in D.C -- two weeks in advance. The site does not ask if there is any military affiliation, either. I chose my dates and checked out and saw the system had changed my requested dates to earlier (and more expensive). I attempted to change the dates on the website, when I realized they were charging more money for the flight. I then called the contact number and spoke Alex who informed me my option was to Washington Dulles airport -- 48 minutes away.
Frustrated, I asked for a refund. It was then I was told I would have to pay a $25 cancellation fee -- "per the policy on the website" -- even though I had booked the flight less than 10 minutes earlier. They essentially took $25 dollars for me while providing me nothing and told me my refund will be processed in 7-14 business days.
It doesn't matter that I am a thrice deployed combat veteran or a military officer, that is a horrible way to treat any customer. They are very deceptive practices and I have been permanently dissuaded from using their service again. To anyone thinking of using this service and reading reviews to see if they should -- do not. I was injured and needed three surgeries and could provide a letter from the surgeon explaining that I am not to be flying. It was a connecting flight and individually the different airlines had policies for medical emergencies to where I could have canceled or rescheduled my flight for no extra cost.
However, since I used CheapOAir those policies didn't matter. CheapOAir didn’t care nor did they have the same medical emergency policies and no matter who I worked with nobody cared. Very disappointed with the customer service and lack of communication on gift card redemption restrictions. I received an electronic CheapOAir gift card for Christmas last year. Was trying to book a flight with Spirit on Black Friday and had my selections made, noticed there was not an area to input my gift card information. Called in to inquire where I could put in that information, took a screenshot, was advised that it was near the Promo Code section and would read Promo Code or Gift Card and my screen did not read that. Tried reloading the page. No difference. The representative did not ask what airline carrier I was trying to book and basically could not help me because I “should be seeing it there.”
I offered to send screenshots so that they could replicate the issue but that’s not the level of service I received. Frustrated I hung up and opted to email the feedback account. Only to get a reply that the gift card is not eligible for purchases with low cost carriers. Read the gift card terms and conditions, no restriction of use is provided on them. No literature provided at all. Emailed back with the terms and conditions attached asking them where is that policy stated...still have not received any response or apology for the miscommunication or inconvenience.
The ambiguity of this is a turn off and very poor customer service all around. Spirit is only airline carrier that flies directly to my destination for the trip the gift card use was intended for and because they’re classified as a low cost carrier I cannot use the CheapOAir gift card. Should qualify for any flight purchase regardless of who the carrier is-that’s the impression the terms and conditions currently communicates. Poor business practices.

Original Review: Dec. 1, 2019
This is highly unethical that when I purchased your tickets to Fiji from Missouri that your own program stated that all I needed was a passport. However when I called New Zealand airport they had mentioned to me that I would need a visa to go through New Zealand to get to Nadi Fiji. So in other words my ticket was worthless. I could not go to Fiji and would be held there. So I immediately contacted you guys to get a refund. I was just over the 24 hour mark as this transaction was completed in Nov. 28 and it is the 30th today. So I asked for refund and your representative said I was ineligible and that I could only get a portion of my money back but for your guy’s mistake.
This is not good busy ethics and deceptive in nature. It is wrong that there is not an exception to this as I would have gotten ready to go to my trip and would have been held or sent back. Your program needs to fit in whether you need visa to go through certain countries. How could every single person on the flight had a visa.
This is very misleading highway robbery and I am offering one chance to take care of this in an honest and ethical manner before I write a very detailed poor one star review about this situation Because a buyer needs to beware that if you go along with their business program, it may say all you need is a passport but you Will be fooled by this. I feel this could be a way they can take money from you, because after 24 hours you don’t get a refund.
In this case my ticket was 770$ plus. You can imagine how distraught and angry I am as I am getting hit with a major loss. Whether a portion is refunded or not, it is still their mistake and very wrong. As there is no way I would have checked into whether each stop Or other country would have required a visa when their own website asks if you have a passport or visa and when you say Passport; they prompt you to tell you that you absolutely can go to Fiji. Which is fine, however when it comes to New Zealand which is the flight you go through to, they require a visa and they will hold you and or send you back to America which will ruin your whole trip and You will lose all your money.
This is a terrible manner to do business. I absolutely want this to be resolved in a much more qualitative manner; if not again I will publish a blog about this event in details and post on every single airline site online and to other networks. Which I reach a very wide community of people worldwide, and thousands of people who travel. I will make sure to share this experience with them all and you will read about it on every single review site. I am a known writer as well, so it will be poetic justice without the drama.
YOUR PROGRAM SOFTWARE KNOWS THAT I ONLY HAD A PASSPORT YET IT STILL LET ME GO THROUGH A NATION THAT REQUIRES A VISA. How come your website would not be sophisticated enough to put two and two together. Your own representatives should have noticed that when I was contacting them asking them about my carryon and carrier luggage. They didn’t want to because they knew that I would have to ask for a refund and didn’t want me to know till after it was too late. Which is the 24 hour grace period.
This is very wrong tactics for your company to make money off one's Nescience. Which means I didn’t know better and your people should do their job and inform a individual that their own web page did not INFORM THE CUSTOMER THAT THEY WOULD NEED A VISA AT SOME POINT DURING ONE OF THE FLIGHTS. This is my one cry out for a resolve before I do point this out publicly and make this case go viral. Please send this too to supervisor or someone. They would know honestly how this is very misleading trickery to guide off of the cliff per se. Not everyone knows New Zealand or Australia requires a visa. However your guys profession is that you do know it this and it even shows up on your computers.
You are to make the due diligence and not the ignorant customer. We are busy with life wish to go on a paradise vacation; which no cheap o airlines has ruined. Because when asked if I want to book another flight, it was really awkward and left a bad taste in my mouth to book a 1500$ ticket, after I just had to cancel a 770$ flight Which wasn’t eligible for a refund. Even if they did give a portion they tact on fees which are just as bad. It’s my loss and the sad part was I was referred by a friend, who is now ashamed and embarrassed for referencing to me to go to this site. You lost two life long clients now, which all you would have to do is admit this was a fault on your guy’s end. You know it.
Get ready because when you scam the wrong guy It absolutely will get around and be happy You managed to swindle my ticket money as if it was no big deal. Then try and upsell me another ticket as if I am getting a deal. You guys are a real piece of work. I just lost the money that you got, and I experience no trip now, because of deceptive false and misleading advertising that stated I could go on this entire trip with a passport and never mentioned I need a visa anywhere. Trust me this is going to get out now. Unless someone can be moral and a descent human professional that does still believe in ethics. I see why your company is naked and called CheapO. You don't even deserve the name Air in your name. You know this.
I already know your justification and rationalization about this, and I know you don’t feel good ripping people off with fraudulent lies. I could go on all day but I am preparing a even deeper more succinct letter and online web blog that will go out on the web by noon today, if something is not done to satisfy the customer who is always right. In this case I was absolutely screwed over and nothing was done to fix it. You need to fix your website, to not mislead valued buyers to believing they can seat on a flight, when they were eligible due to lacking certain documentation. If all your people knew I only had passport because it’s all over my information. Then why wouldn’t a single person I spoke to and chatted with, would have brought it up as a mistake and fixed the error before the 24 hour deadline?
This is beyond shady, this is down right shark attack salesmen. You blatantly knew better and then ripped me off. Which is worse than backstabbing your very own bread and butter. You straight out slaughtered me, and pretended everything was alright. Like well it was my mistake now want to buy another ticket. Maybe we can get it right this time. Your deceitful web and verbal call workers think this is a game. No one likes to lose 300-770$ for no reason other than misinformation brought up by the site itself. I am very disappointed, as I was about to get my big family a whole collection of tickets for their visit to me a month later. Now of which we aren’t going to do. Due to this terrible experience we are enduring now.
I do understand if I made the mistake and decided to change my trip date but that I was not the case. It was they mislead and didn’t tell me important information and actually withheld it entirely. They had the audacity to not give me a full refund for their mistake. How would you feel taking a huge loss like this and both the representative and the customer know it was wrong how Cheap O's system is set up. How can y’all look in the mirror and know you just hustle a good paying customer like this then pretend that it Was the uninformed, potentially ignorant customer. This review and more will be published for the whole world to see and on all your main sites and others. Including mine where I reach 113 million people.
This is not to be vindictive but to bring a social and ethical awareness to the world or travelers out there, to not only check and make sure for yourself that you don’t need a visa in the surrounding nations you go through, but also just ask yourself before you purchase your ticket, whether you have a visa/passport or not that would you want to do business with a company that conducts itself in this manner to not ensure the customer is happy with the decision for just giving them a chance? Take heed from my experience, don’t risk your precious hard earned money. Go somewhere else where they are loyal to their business clientele and reflect good industry practices the first time.
They knew it was wrong what they did and they still did it. They are business snakes. You know they say curses, hexes, and plagues come to those as a cause and effect to doing what is wrong and knowing better. It would make sense if this was an accident. We live in 2019 though, there are companies who rise up and take pride in doing good business transactions. This is by far the worst display of deal making I have ever seen in my 30 years of professional expertise.
Take my wisdom for a face value, don’t waste your time with this website. After you read this last sentence click off their site and do not think twice about it. They lure you in with cheaper ticket prices and will lead you astray with god knows how many sucker punches. Leave the site knowing you just saved money by not wasting your money going the cheap route. Pay the extra dollar and work with people who don’t treat their customers like they did me. You can tell I am well read and on point with my information. I am a Harvard researcher and have been on dozens of flights, airlines would be blown away if they knew this lousy service place was advocating their airline services. Speaking of which, I was even told this was wrong by the New Zealand airlines. She said that you should have booked directly with the airport and not these phony middlemen who make money through highway robbery such as this.
Well it has officially surfaced. I would be glad to take this down if a solution came up. Watch and see, this comment review won’t be taken down. If you are reading this still, no wrong was made right yet. And that is a sorry excuse for these people who have to look in the mirror and live with themselves at Cheapoair.com. Thanks for reading through. Don’t have a nightmare experience like me. Take my word for it now. Run while you still got most all your money.
Kindest regardsConcerned customer that was mislead through trickery and lost money for being interested in doing business.
Didn’t get nothing. Only lost it all. Don’t let this be you. Zero stars.

Our annual vacation to Manassas, Va is the highlight of the year. Our trip is normally by car, but this year we decided to fly. I had used CheapOair last year on my Alaska Vacation, and was very satisfied with their service, so opted to use them again. The service I received this year was beyond "Outstanding". I actually felt like I was the only customer in the world, and everything they were doing for me was to make my vacation the best flying experience ever. The gentleman who did my reservations is definitely an asset to your company. When we were finished, I had no questions to ask, because he had explained everything to me. I have never had Customer Service this great.

I searched to book a flight with a specific depart airport. The online comes up first in nearby airports. This will give you anywhere. Look further down at the airport you have chosen. I clicked the first one and presumed I had booked the airport I wanted. Wrong. It was a nearby one so all money lost as these prices are all none refundable. Good scam really as I had to rebook another flight from the correct airport. The agent on the phone shouted at me, "Don't click nearby airports." So now I have lost money, booked a new flight and had to book an extra night in a hotel. Don't think I will use the again.

For some reason every time I book a flight I make some kind of a mistake. It’s inevitable! CheapOair was happy to help me fix my booking. They actually called me within one minute of my booking to verify all of my information was correct and helped me pick seats. I was so frustrated when I got on the phone with them because I accidentally booked my husband to arrive a completely different day. Not only did they change it so he arrived the same day; but they also got him on the same plane with me. I really appreciate the staff at cheapOair!

I have used CheapOair twice both times a disaster. First time I had booked to air tickets to accompany a cruise, a few days prior my Husband was not able to go, he is a Physician and had an emergency with one of his clients. I then invited my Son to go. The Cruise line was happy to change the name on travel documents, but when I called Cheapoair they refused. They suggest I call the airline direct. I did, they say if I had booked directly with them they would change names for a fee, and Cheapoair would have to do the change, called again they refused. I attempted to purchase brand new tickets but all sold out on all airlines. I had to cancel my trip. A loss of 4000.00plus.
More recently, bought a round trip ticket from Cheapoair. I will admit it was a great fare. A few days prior to departure got an email asking if I wanted to select my seats. I did. I was charged a fee from Cheapoair, and a charge for each leg of my flight which was approximately 80.00. When I got to airport I did not get the seats I selected and when I inquired why the airport staff said they never pre assign seats for the airfare I selected. Well I wasnt too happy that I got charged for seats I didnt get so I called Cheapoair upon return from my trip. After a long conversation she said she would refund the 9.95 they charged me but for the other fees I must send them a screenshot of the charges on my bank account and send to their customer service. Did that. Got an email back saying I should call their “seat assignment number”. Needless to say I don’t have my money back. Sure I won't get it either. Beware... You get what you pay for.

I booked online on Tuesday evening about 8:00pm going from Atlanta to Ahmadabad. Next day I realized that the middle name was missing so I called to fix it. In order to fix it I have to purchase a whole new ticket and pay extra $220.00 and I was told if there any price difference happened I have time to update within 24 hrs. and because there’s a Thanksgivings holiday on Thursday so my grace will be extended till Friday Nov 29/2019. So I ended up getting a new itinerary with additional charges of course. I saw the promotion price online on Thanksgiving day but thinking your office is closed so no point of calling that day and waited till following day to call for promotion price.
So next morning when I called I was On phone again for almost over an hour and at the end of the conversation I was told that there was nothing to be done at that point. I’ll have to pay again for any changes was made because it was more than 24 hours. Even though I was told my grace period is valid till Friday. I have to pay more again to make any changes. As a United States citizen I believed in and expected that I have time till Nov 29/2019 because whole USA is closed observing Thanksgivings holiday. I had no problem calling on Thanksgivings 28th of Nov. I was not working anyways. I had whole day to take care of the promotional deal. I feel I was missed inform and overcharged and wasted lots of my time in this whole transaction.

They are not an honest and transparent company. The hidden fees are in the booking and taxes fee lump together. When I booked, I never knew there was a $200+ booking fees! All in all, don't let their name fool you, it's definitely not cheap! What all the 1 star reviewers said is true, it feels more like a bunch of dirty gimmicks behind the scenes. Just letting you guys know that I lost 120.00 dollars because of your website. I input the credit card information on your website, after this was done you guys sent me an email stating that the booking was not made. After this an email from Viva air Peru was sent saying that my flight was confirmed, this happened twice! Once with CheapOair and one with One travel. After calling you guys for help the woman told me that I was responsible because I made the reservation directly with viva air peru, this is not true. Viva air peru is an airline from Peru where the currency is in peruvian dollars, I used your websites and both times the error came up, "another person booked before you no charges were made".
As of this I proceed to book with another airline LATAM, after the LATAM airline purchase is made is when I notice the emails of all 3 confirmed flights. Viva air peru proceeded to cancel one flight based on duplicity, the one from LATAM was non refundable so I lost money there. This has been the worse experience I have had with any travel engine. Between cheap air and one travel there are over 5 numbers for customer service which don't work, in ex. 800.425.4567, 800.428.8821, 877.590.0050, 877.590.6570. When I got all to work (or so I thought), system populated my billing name (parent) for traveler’s name (son)... which I did not catch. So when I called to correct they wanted to charge me a ‘correction’ fee and they would have to cancel and re-order tickets w/o guarantee it would be same flight at same cost. This was not acceptable.
I argued their faulty site caused this snafu and then was hung up on. When I called back I asked to cancel order but they said named ticket holder only party who could cancel. Named party was a mishmash of mine and son’s name and does not exist technically. Son reached out twice to cancel. And I’m not sure we’re done yet as charge on credit card remains.

Updated on 11/22/2019: I received an email after another follow-up and CA blog that CheapOair has refunded the overcharged amount and I was told that it will take 7 to 14 days before it shows in our account. If this comes through I consider the issue resolved. This should not have happened in the first place. I am trained on client service excellence and I know that if clients are truly at the centre of service this rarely happens as timeliness in many surveys is among the key drivers of client satisfaction. Timeliness is all the more important if the error is by the service provider.
Let this be a lesson, an opportunity for improvement. Nobody is perfect and everyone commits mistakes but quickly owning up and rectifying one's mistakes rather than hemming and hawing or being defensive is the challenge for any organization to reach service excellence level. I am sure that there are good employees in CheapOair who want quick and fair resolution rather than covering up and being defensive of clearly a mistake. They are the source of light and hope and organizational charm. Supported by right policy and discipline execution, I hope their tribe thrives. I reserve a much higher star-rating till CheapOair demonstrate improvement next time around. For now, CheapOair has somehow made up for it and I have no more issue.
Original Review: A mistake was made on our payments. We were overcharged on our hotel. CheapOair charged us the wrong amount and the hotel charged us again the full amount. After we provided the documents that were asked from us, two CheapOair agent called one after another, with few days interval, asking the same questions. In the way they asked questions you get the feeling that they wanted to avoid rectifying the mistake although they tried to project through their words that they want to help you. You get the feeling that it was you who made a mistake instead of the fact that it was you who was wronged.
Unlike when they are trying to get your money, they are slow to act on their mistakes. Despite words of profuse apologies, they seem to have no idea of the costs of bother and stress they caused you to which they continue to add by the slowness of effective actions. Good and sincere service nurture customer loyalty far better than sales talk. Talks come cheap so they say. Effective and respectful service separate excellent organization from worse organizations.

The fun really began at that point with VivaAir refusing to cancel either of the flights and when we went back to CheapoAir to see about their erroneous message claiming that both flights were full- they claimed that we did not book any flight with them. This did not make any sense as we had NO DIRECT CONTACT WITH VIVA AIR until after they confirmed the two flights and took the money out of our debit card for both flights. The flight times and prices suited my needs. There was a small glitch in my online booking and they agreed to change my flights by one day because I had paid the fee to be able to this.
What I was not prepared for was luggage costs. On the flight over with Air Canada we paid $60. CDN each for a checked bag. Air Canada's site says that the fare on this flt. included one free bag. On the return flight we paid $75. CDN each for a checked bag. (Brussels Airlines this time and I did not check their baggage policy on their site). Total additional costs for baggage $270. CDN!!
Then there was my credit card bill. It was full of charges that did not make sense. A refund of $116. and also $113. Then a charge for $278. all in addition to basic flight. The person at CheapOair spoke quickly despite the fact I asked her to slow a little as my hearing is slightly impaired. I assume the refunds came from the first booking. She said they were insurance and some other things which I did not request. I told her I was confused and she said it was my fault because I did not book on the Canadian site. I needed to book roundtrip airfare between Philadelphia and Miami so I decided to use Cheapoair because I used them before, but it was a huge mistake. Twice I found flights I wanted to book but after giving them my husband's information, my information, plus my credit card information I was told that flight was no longer available. Discouraged and frustrated I tried one more time and was able to book flights that were more expensive. About 15 minutes after booking I went back on their site to print my flight info, and I saw the flight I just booked was nearly $75 cheaper per ticket than what I just paid! Needless to say I called customer service line. After being transferred twice I was told they'd cancel the original booking for a fee and rebook for me at the cheaper price. Since the fee was much less than the difference in fare I agreed.
I was put on hold for nearly 20 minutes while the customer service agent finalized everything; however, when she came back she told me that flight was no longer available. She did offer me an even cheaper flight on a different day, which was no help since I'd still be on a cruise the day she offered. Worst of all she informed me the flight I just canceled was now more expensive. Of course this was the airlines fault and not theirs so there was nothing she could do. They did finally remove the cancelation fee but it still left me without a flight. What I was left with was a massive headache. I did finally book our flights directly through the airline quickly and easily. I will never use cheapoair again and I do not encourage anyone else to.

I called CheapOair on Saturday Nov. 9th to make reservations to visit my family in Nashville, TN. It is a very important visit to me. I had checked online and found a flight I wanted to book. I had the pleasure of talking with Gracie who informed me that the flight I was looking at was not available any longer. So she proceeded to check on various flights for me. She had flights going out of Ontario with a stop over and then direct flights from LAX. Cost was an issue. I was on the phone with her for almost two hours. She was very patient with me. At times I was getting frustrated but she walked me through everything. I have used CheapOAir on prior flights and have been extremely happy with the outcome. Thank you CheapOAir!

I purchased flights from Phoenix to Istanbul with an eventual return from Amsterdam back home to Phoenix, so not a "real" round trip, but the primary airline (British Airlines) considered it a "round trip" purchase. A couple weeks later, I had to change my travel plans, which meant leaving two weeks + earlier to go to Tanzania and then hooking back up in Istanbul where I thought I could continue my itinerary.
It took me two support people before finding (supposedly definitively) that I could NOT re-book this via British Airways since it was changing the destinations AND that if I did NOT get on the plane from Phoenix to Istanbul, my entire flight would be cancelled with NO refund (airline policy). So, I basically donated $1200 to British Airways (with some going to CheapOair).
As I continued on with my new itinerary and am in Amsterdam prepping to return to Phoenix, I get emails from CheapOair about my upcoming flights via British Air back to Phoenix EVEN THOUGH those tickets had already been cancelled by British Airlines. CheapOair sent me over six emails about these non-existing flights. I will avoid using their services from now on.

Booking was not hard but once I thought I put my flight information in I realized it was wrong after I booked it. There is no room for error. There should be a least an hour to change the information without paying out an extra $100 penalty. I know it was my mistake. Since Spirit airlines charge for everything so I really didn’t get a good deal. The customer service agent was great.

Be aware that when you buy an airplane ticket they will charge you a fee for this service (43.23$). I didn't know that because this is not visible when you pay. Only when I checked my bank account I saw the charge (they charge this amount separately). On the other hand, if you want to cancel within 24 hours they will charge you 50 dollars if you booked a national trip, for international trips the cost for cancelation is 75 dollars (this information is not on the website). There is a little question mark (almost invisible) on the website; if you click it, it will explain that there will be a charge for cancelation, that´s it. At the end I wasn't able to travel for personal reasons, I canceled within 24 hours, and I had to pay 93.23 dollars. I'm not going to use this website again.

I was informed that the seats selected were in the middle of the plane. NOT!! When I checked SeatGuru, seats are in the back of plane!! I had to pay extra since I did not do the booking myself on the internet. I could have booked directly with the airline for about the same price. You are not being truthful!! I will be checking everything closer if there is a next time I use this website.

I recently booked one of the round trip flight deals through CheapOair. At the time I was booking my flight tickets I could see single flight carriers each way, requiring me to pay for carry on baggage to and fro. Once I booked my tickets, the confirmation had two flight carriers added each way requiring me to pay double the money to and fro even for the transit flights. This deceptive information made my trip costlier than most of the expensive flights, requiring me to spend endless hours in travel and pay double the money. The customer service did not only provide me with wrong flight timings and several individual emails for various transit trips but also refused to help me point blank.

Customer service was excellent, I was a little disappointed in the fact that this is a bereavement flight for me and the actual price on line was cheaper than over the phone but then the nice attendant on the phone got the price down by ten more dollars, although this was good, I would think you could do a little better on discounting someone that has to fly because of death in the family....

I am very dissatisfied with customer and billing department with CheapOair. I booked a flight with cheapoair to flight with Jet Airways this summer to Europe. It turned out that Jet Airways was suspending all international flights due to filing a bankruptcy. I filed claim via CheapOair to request a refund. The representative assured me that I will receive a refund but it will take 3 to 4 months. I waited 4 months and I called again CheapOair to find out the status of my claim since I did not see any refunds on my bank statement.
After speaking with so many representatives and supervisors, I was asked by CheapOair to send an email to Jet Airways and request a refund from them. In addition to, CheapOair consistently lie about refunding the amount of the both tickets. CheapOair refunded only for the tax reservation fee $40 and $29 but not the actual amount for the ticket. This is a very bad customer service and assistance and I would never recommend them to any of my friends. Lastly, the customer service is really really bad because their representatives do not provide correct information.

CheapOAir offers broken services and customary/complimentary products for monetary values such as making customers pay for daily monitoring for tickets. There is also an advertised travel protection package that CheapOAir pushes down to consumers which does not work. It costs hundreds of dollars yet consumers' flights and money are not protected. CheapOAir also sends many spamming emails daily to promote cheap flights which are generic bait and switch tactics. They will show a cheap flight in an email and then switch that flight detail to trick customers into playing so much more.
Additionally, when customers such as myself are unhappy or do not receive my desired flight, CheapOAir still charges me money even though I did not get a plane ticket. They have spent me harassing email and phone calls to elicit that money back. They also do not work properly with the airlines on behalf of the customer. When the customer did not receive the plane ticket, CheapOAir still charged the customer. They charged me $66.95 even though I do not have a plane ticket from United Airlines.

We booked a flight from Iowa to Germany for April 7th to April 23rd. I took the insurance because my husband has Parkinson's and you just don't know how things will progress. Well, now his balance has gotten much worse in a short time. Dr. doesn't see any way he can do this trip. I tried to cancel and they said 250. cancellation fee and 50 office fee. I paid 445.00 for each ticket. I do not understand when I called the credit card company they said the charges were paid to British Airways. I thought well that is good because you can cancel with them online for 10.00. I did not book or get any info from CheapOair. No one talked to me or helped me. I booked through British Airways. These people just tell you to use their code so they get the commission.
You can book yourself on the airline and not have this hassle. I am disputing this charge. I am getting a letter from the dr. and send it to the credit card company and to the insurance company we paid. These people do nothing and you don't know they are a commission based company. I have paid a membership fee thinking they were paid that way, was I wrong. These people are very rude on the phone. I also have an insurance clause with my credit card so I have no intention of ever booking with this company again. I will do everything I can to not pay this money. They have never told us anything about cancellation fees. They have never talked to us ever.

I liked the patience shown by the agent and the way he explained everything but on the other hand the frustration and nervous part is that where the agent was taking my personal information through the phone, I would prefer him to send me a link that would help me put all my personal details without sharing with anyone else again through the phone. And the reasons why am saying this is because, there are so many fraud cases that is happened. Otherwise, I trust Santos and he was very helpful finally. Thanks.
