    I booked two business class tickets to Copenhagen on SAS on 1/24/20 (last four digits of booking number are 2469) to depart on 4/26/20. The flight was cancelled by the airline in early April. I have made MANY attempts to get a refund of $8,868 with no luck. I keep getting an automatic response that "refund in progress". I even sent an overnight letter to the CEO demanding a refund and still no response. My friend who was on the same flight but booked direct through SAS got a refund from the airline in 14 days! CheapOair has had my money for almost 5 months and still nothing! Terrible customer service and I will never use them again!!

    Haven't completed trip. Gave us a 25.5 layover in South Korea which would have had us 14 days in quarantined. They changed the ticket 3 times and is still not completed and made us book an additional ticket from Boston to New York. 7 days on hold. This started in April and this is July 15th and trip supposed to be August 5. Still not confirmed. Promised supervisor will call me 3 Days In A Row. Truth is they have no tickets just false promises. $1600 lost 2 weeks to be at destination. Disabled, retired and tired of their unprofessional crap.

    Very bad experience, my tickets was canceled in my return flight. I tried to call them. I stay on the phone over 5 hours. At the end they reply they said I can refund my tickets and they will deduct agency fees about 400$. When I refused they said supervisor will call within 24 hrs and now it's about 4 days without any response.

    Booked a flight on Cheapoair with Singapore airline as the carrier. A week ahead from the flight received an email directly from Singapore airline says I cannot get aboard due to the travel ban. Contact with the CheapOair customer service for a refund and the answer is NO. Checked with the Singapore airline, for my situation, the answer should be YES. But where is that $1000 goes? If you booked ticket on CheapOair, crossing your fingers for the flight won't have any problem occur. Otherwise these "travel experts" will chew your bones out. :) Also did I mention they will have the most inpatient customer services if you want a refund?

    I actually had 2 bad experiences with them. In 2019, I booked flight from Thailand to Vietnam, paid baggage fees at time of booking. I got to airport and Viet Jet Airline stated Cheapo never paid for baggage. I had to repay, Notified Cheapo and they said, will refund. Never did. Inadvertently,
    In June 2020, I thought I was dealing with Cathay Pacific and because it was late and I was tired, I did not realize, Cheapo was involved in the booking. After booking on June 10, on July 5, I got email from Cheapo that Cathay unilaterally rescheduled my flight from Aug. 9, to a later date and time, which I could not make. I called CP and spoke with a supervisor. I indicated I would gladly take a earlier date in August. They had no flights. I asked for a refund. CP told me as I suspected to contact Cheapo. I received an email from Cheapo and I responded and told them, I refused the re-booking. Cheapo said they would respond. They never did, even after I sent them several emails over 6 days. I explained as a retired attorney that they were legally obligated to immediately refund my money. I even called several times over as many days. Finally, on July 10, after 30 minutes on hold an agent responded. I explained that I could not make the rescheduled flight and I wanted an immediate refund. I told him he could review all of my emails because I was not going to repeat over and over. But, I essentially told him I wanted a refund ASAP. That I am a retired senior citizen and a Vietnam era veteran with a VA PTSD disability and that Cheapo's utter indifference in not responding to my emails was causing me - exacerbating my stress levels. Because I needed my refund to book another fare. His bs response was that Airline would issue my refund. I explained in simple legal language that CP was not paid but Cheapo was. I also told him CP said baloney, They do not have my card that I paid for the reservation. He tried to tell me otherwise. Anyhow, he said he would get supervisor and asked me to please wait 2-3 minutes. 12 minutes later , I realized they hung up on me.

    With the help of Parrish, in New Delhi, he was able to transfer our Air Canada tickets to Aus/NZ from Oct 2020 to Feb 2021. However, even with the COVID going on, he had to charge an additional fee (which hopefully will be reduced). Air Canada had been paid in full, and it still doesn't seem fair that we had to pay additional fees to change the timing of trip. People from the US cannot even go to Canada now, much less Aus/NZ due to COVID-19. I hope Parrish continues to seek a fee return for us. He is patient, friendly and very helpful.

    Hello, I am just letting you, the booking I made from Cheapoir is my first and last booking ever in my life. Neither you guys gave me refund not I can use that credit for anything.     Unless you are fine with just flying straight there and have no problems in between you are okay. If you have any problems, even WEEKS before your flight leaves, they will not help you. I will never use them or Spirit again. I have never had any issues with Allegiant.

    I have an American Airline flight reservation through Cheapoair from July 2nd to July 9th, I got a call from the hotel saying that the beach gonna be closed in these dates, so I called cheapoair to cancel they charged me 70$ cancellation fee plus 156$ changing fee, I called American Airlines. They told me they waived any charges for cancellation or changing due to the covid. That's when I realized that cheapoair is a fraud.

    I had a terrible experience with Cheapoair. I thought I was saving mine but I didn’t! I had to cancel my trip to Rome due to COVID-19. First of all, it was forever to get through to even cancel my plans. Then they didn’t want to refund my money, they only offered a voucher. When I got angry, they finally refunded my money. They also took $500 too. I had insurance which was a TOTAL rip-off. The $500 was for insurance and their fees! I could see if I had to cancel the fees but it was because of Coronavirus and my flights were canceled anyway. I had no control over that! I would not recommend booking with them at all and took my name off all their mail lists. Good luck if you book with them and need a refund. Better not do it unless there is a vaccination or cure for COVID and there are no more pandemics!!

    I decided to book with CheapOair for the first time earlier this year (deviating from my usual booking pattern, which is to book directly with the airline) for not only less expensive tickets but for what I was hoping would be a hassle free, normal experience. Given the current social/civil situation happening in our country and neighborhoods for the past few months, was hoping to be able to achieve some sort of satisfaction when booking a trip to escape it all. This was not the case at all.

    Aside from the multiple calls I've made with extremely long hold times, that end up being dropped, which is very frustrating in itself, I had a business trip cancelled back in May, due to Covid-19, which directly negatively impacted my adjacent personal trip right after. From modifying that arrival booking, CheapOair kept a hefty portion of that booking. CheapOair keeping $100 for each booking, there are 2 of us, ($200 total), was a major financial inconvenience. Lastly, my flights to WA from AZ have been changed 3 times since I originally modified the booking for a different arrival state, which now has bumped us to taking a late flight that has us due to arrive in WA at almost midnight, completely altering my plans for that arrival day.

    I've come to learn that when you book with CheapOair, you are booking a "saver" ticket, which allows the Airline to bump you to a flight time that they use for these saver tickets (very inconvenient times) to provide seats for those that have booked directly with the airline for the flight time they want. This makes me feel like low class and forces me to completely change my plans for the day. Not a desirable that any traveler wants to feel. This experience has completely ruined me wanting to book through a 3rd party ever again, and I will NEVER book through CheapOair after this. This experience has been nothing short of frustration coupled with annoyance and not what I desire to be faced with in times that are already stressful.

    I work in Iraq as a translator with the American army and coalition forces, and I bought a return ticket from CheapOair on February 3, 2020 to go home for my vacation to the United States and the travel date was on February 28, 2020 and return on March 19 2020. Booking number ** and I traveled home. On the 14th of March, I received an email from the company informing me that there is a change in the date of my return trip, and they asked me to follow up on my email updates (attached photo 1). After a long wait, I sent an email to the company to inquire about the re-scheduling my return, and they answered me to acknowledge receiving my email and it was under No. (**) as in Attachment 2.

    After many attempts to communicate with the company to solve this problem that caused me to lose my job because I could not return on time, I sent many emails to CheapOair, but did not reach them because of a technical defect in their system (attached 3). I received an email from the company asking me to cancel the return trip ticket and ask for a refund, and I did, and they answered me on April 14- 2020 (I will have a #** credit valid till 02-02-2021 from the original date of issue 02-03-2020 (Attachment 4).

    Since that date and until now I am trying to contact them to solve this problem and after long waits for two or three hours they cut off the call on me or answer me and put me on hold for 15 to 20 minutes then the respondent returns to speak to me, but he says he does not hear me and cut the call. Finally, one of them answered me today and told me that my ticket was not refundable because I canceled it and when I asked to speak to the manager, he puts me on hold for two hours and then cut the line. This company does not respect its customers and has no credibility in their promises, and they are greedy. I rated them one star but they do not deserve more than zero star.

    THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT ONLY DURING VIRUS BUT FOREVER. USE call centers in India and volume is so low with accent. If you never have to change anything and if you find it cheaper there ok but if you have to change fees are more than what airlines charge. I have been a platinum member and this time they lost me for good. Never again.

    First charge me to change the ticket (even when airline was waiving the fees due to virus) and then takes 2-3 months to get a refund. When airline refunded my one way ticket in 2 weeks same airlines other way I booked with these people. Months? They are crooks. I have used them in the past and was lucky didn't have to change anything. Last 2-3 times had to change due to too close connections etc. Omg I will pay little more with the airlines but stay away. Believe me after 7 years of experience with these bums. Also they have a habit of pulling the low fares they show out at the last minutes and show it is sold out after you ready to book.

    Due to Covid my flights got cancelled by the airlines. I was supposed to leave the country and arrive on Fiji soil. Unfortunately, the boarders are closed at time of departure, leaving the airlines to cancel the flights. I called Cheapoair several times and got wrong information, got hung up on twice, was directed to the airlines directly which was also not accurate. Because the airlines cancelled, my expectations are to receive a full refund. They sent me an email with a voucher for less than $700 of the cost of the ticket. I'm still trying to call and resolve this and am absolutely not getting anywhere. I will continue to write negative reviews until this is professionally resolved. This is unacceptable and I will never book with Cheapoair again!!!

    Dealing with Cheapoair during Covid-19 has been terrible. I had an International flight booked for June 5, 2020 which was cancelled May 29, 2020 by the airline. I contacted Cheapoair the next day to reschedule my flight. They said no flights was available. I should call the airline myself. The airline confirmed June 20 was available and said Cheapoair needs to reissue the ticket. Every time I contacted Cheapoair, I was on hold for 1 hour before someone picked up, then transferred to someone else, then put on hold for another hour before I could speak to someone.

    After on hold for 2 hours, the call dropped and, so I had to keep calling and go through the process again. I went through this for 2 weeks. The evening before my flight, my ticket still was not reissued. They still kept running around and blaming the airlines. This experience was so bad, even my family was stressed. The worse part of all of this, Cheapoair did not even of offer me not even a discount for all the inconvenience and stress they put me and my family through and they still took $65 from the refund they owe me (which I haven't received yet).

    I was sold a 1250 ticket on the 16th For the 18th. I was told 4 or 5 times there would be no problems flying to Amsterdam. When I tried to check in. I was told no one is allowed to fly. Unless medical or emergency personnel. And I was sent home. I paid 80 for flight insurance. It was not honored. I called for my refund before the flight left Detroit. I got charged 50 dollars for a refund. No insurance, no apologies. This cost me 300 dollars.

    I bought a ticket that was included 6 flights through Cheapoair.com for oversea. After 5 days that I was getting my stuff ready for my trip, they cancelled one of my flights (second flight) and so I couldn't use that ticket. Then they charged me 74.95$. I tried to call them for 5 days and I was on the line for hours. Finally, they answered me. I asked the guy on the phone (Belly or Berry I think) why they did charge me since they cancelled the flight not me and it's not my fault but he just repeated something from their forms I think. They ruined all of my plan and all of the time I did shopping and wasted my time and money.

    I received refund for the price of the ticket after two weeks but they didn't refund 74.95 $. It is my second same experience in this hard time (Covid19). I don't believe that a big airline like Turkish Airline doesn't know if they have flight to Germany. It's the fault of some third party sites such as Cheapoair that they sell Turkish airline tickets and then they cancel it after 5 days and charged poor people for that and make money. I have to travel but instead I paid 160$ for the cancellation of my 2 flights and it was not my fault. It's not fair and totally inappropriate.

    I booked a fight back in Oct 2019 to go to my sister wedding. Well the Coronavirus came and JetBlue cancel the fight. I call JetBlue and they refunded CheapoAir all the money for the fight and I was told I would be getting my money back. Well it's as be 3 weeks since JetBlue refunded CheapoAir the money and I have not gotten any think back from them as of yet. I cannot fly due to my health and work and besides the wedding is off. Can someone please tell me where to go from here.

    I had to cancel my trip due to coronavirus. They charged me $70 to do this. You can't get anyone on the phone, you wait on hold for an hour then they get on the line and hang up on you. None of them speak English. I finally got through online to someone who said they would refund me my $70 and the money I paid for preferred seating and preferred customer service. That was in April, my card has still not been refunded in June. Do yourself a favor and just book through the airline, this company is a ripoff.

    Booked a trip, three flights total on two different days. The airline- Bangkok Air cancelled the first two flights, leaving the third flight rescheduled. Three weeks we have been trying to get our money back for the two cancelled flights. Getting the runaround with CheapOair. Finally got a credit, of unknown amount. (We paid $700). We were able to cancel the unusable remaining flight, which CheapOair charged me an additional 70$ to do. Said it was because we were cancelling our booking. No refund for the airline cancelling flights. Should have just not cancelled the remaining one and saved myself another 70$ being robbed of. Saddened and sickened at how we have been treated. Was supposed to be a 25th anniversary trip for us/we are both ICU nurses working on the frontline.

    I have tried for months now to try and reach CheapOair. My trip was canceled due to COVID but they won't refund my money or get back to me. They dont have any way online to cancel your trip. I even purchased the travel protection. You have to submit an email to request cancellation but then they never get back to you. I have emailed, tried to chat with their customer service online, called, etc. I have called numerous times and after being on hold for an hour the line just hangs up on me. I tried chatting online with them and it never connects me to anyone. I have also emailed at least 6 times and never get a response from anyone.     They gave me a different flight that has me arriving a day late, with a 16 hour layover. No doubt so they can make more money with a cheaper flight. When I called them to get it fixed, they said it was my fault and that they couldn't help me. Furthermore, I was on hold for 1 hour then the phone just said the number wasn't in service and hung up. So I called back but this time I select the option to book a flight, and I had no wait whatsoever. I had to scam them just to be able to get them on the phone. Just call the airport to book.     I tried using their website guidance twice, leaving my callback number as instructed. Never happened. All the numbers I called directed me to look on the website, which had already failed me. Finally dug up a number not on their website with led to a fruitless two hours on the phone, including being transferred to another person, put on hold for an hour, and then disconnected. They had my phone number, which they verified when I finally reached a live person, but no one ever called me. Their customer service philosophy seems to be ignore the customers so they will go away. I call cheapoair right away to find out why and no one helping me, keep sending me around and around. I have been waiting for 4 hours and get hung up by cheapoair. Then I have check on the email showing not all inclusive in there. I have checked with hotel and they said it’s not all inclusive either.

    I have been email cheapoair, keep calling the next day, call the bank to stop my payment and chatted with cheapoair but only answer I got that they only can do this but can’t do that. Basically this is not my fault. Cheapoair fault base on what you guy advertised on the website and reality weren’t truth. I ask for full refund $1146.01 and $767.58. Cheapoair need to contact me and refund for me. Cheapoair need to do right thing for me instead of telling me that we only can cancel the flight but I will lost $60 fee for each person and the hotel they can’t do anything and I have to contact to the hotel to get full refund.

    I bought in January 2020 an Upper Class Virgin Atlantic ticket to Malta through CheapOair, which operates OneTravel, Last Minute Deals, as well as Travelong and Fareportal, which seem to be the mother company. Travel was supposed to be on March 12, 2020. Because of Covid-19 all international traveling from the US was stopped. When I tried to cancel, they suggested a penalty or if I rebook on the same date in the following month, no penalty. I rebooked for April 12, 2020. Malta closed all entry to its country on March 13, 2020. I called and emailed the travel agency. Finally, I received a confirmation of the cancellation. I was supposed to receive a full refund, excl. cancellation fee (traveling was to a Covid-19 affected European country). They asked for my choice of Credit or Refund. I opted for Refund. All this dated March 26, 2020. Until today, June 14, 2020, I did not receive my refund, or received an email or letter for explanation.

    Purchased a ticket for my daughter to St Maarten pre corona virus through CheapOair. Tried calling for one week. Over 8 requests on their system for call backs and over 10 hour holding. They kept informing me of the date getting close for the trip. For a last minute attempt to cancel for a voucher or anything, I called American Airlines directly. I used the call back feature with AA. I received a call within 15 minutes. They informed me the flight had been canceled for some time and they would gladly give me a refund or voucher good until 12/31/2021. They also informed me that had I not contacted them the $800 could have gone back to Cheapoair. CheapOAir kept their full commission of course. You can do much better than these people.

    Unfortunately, due to pandemic, we had to cancel our travel arrangements. We've been trying to get in touch with Cheapoair since, 3/16/2020, by phone, online, etc., without any success. We finally got in touch with our credit card company and started a dispute, still in progress, going on 2 months. We are aware that we are not the only people that are going through, and can certainly understand that they are most likely overwhelmed with number of people who have had to change their travel arrangements. However, the lack of availability to have someone from Cheapoair to reach out and return a call for 3 months is unacceptable. We used them for years, but this will be certainly the last.

My last exchange, however, I was a bit disappointed because after explicitly advising I wanted no extra fees or services, aside from trip protection, I find that I've been charged a $9.95 baggage protection fee on my email confirmation. I then had to call back and speak to a representative who advised me fee was non-refundable. I had to insist on getting a refund, due to the fact that I explicitly advised prior representation that I declined all other fees. It was a bit of a battle, but I finally got my refund.     I rescheduled my family's flight after the initial COVID outbreak ruined our plans. We had to pay a fee to reschedule.     I have recently purchased tickets from Auckland to Wanganui via CheapOair. This company was on top of the searching results on Google and they claim they are offering the cheapest air tickets whereas their prices are $10 higher than the prices from the airline website. However, they also charged me $30 NZD on top of the $10 for service fees. Which means I paid $40 more than if I've purchased the tickets from the airline website. I have tried to contact them to resolve the issue and no reply from them at all. The charge of the $30 was hidden in the booking. (I didn't know until I see the charge on my Credit Card) At the same time, they try to sell you other services like accommodation and travel insurance etc. Don't use CheapOair to book your tickets from the airline website!     Back in December my wife and I booked a trip on American Airlines to Grand Cayman with CheapOAir. We have used them on other occasions and not had any issues. The flights were to leave Boston on Apr. 18 and return Apr 25th. As the Corona Virus situation struck Grand Cayman closed its airport in March. Knowing that the flights would be canceled and wanting a refund not a credit we followed the instructions on CheapOAir website, and the advice explained in a television presentation by the Dept of Transportation and waited until the flights were actually canceled by the airline before asking for a refund through CheapOair.

    The tickets with booking fees and seat assignments cost us $1413.22. A few days following the refund request on the website (we tried over and over to reach CheapOair by phone) we got a notice of credit for $1337 and an additional $70 fee charged to my wife's credit card! The credit we were told was only good until Dec of 2020 and that we may have to fly the same literary. Considering the airport is still closed until at least Sept 1 and that we only own our timeshare unit in April every other year this credit is not even something we can use.

    We are very dissappointed with the actions of CheapOair. We have tried repeatedly to reach people at the company and not been able to. Not only is CheapOair taking advantage of people who have already lost their vacations and had to change all their plans but they don't even seem to be interested in following federal law concerning refunds when flights are canceled because of the corona virus. The other couple we were flying with on the same itinerary who bought their tickets directly through American have gotten their refund and were not charged an extra cancellation fee which is also a violation by CheapOair under the circumstances.

    We have filed a complaint with our credit card company who is investigating the situation and If I don't hear anything from CheapOair to resolve the matter very soon the next complaint will be to the DOT. At this point CheapOair has certainly lost our business. We want our money back CheapOair! Do the right thing and get it taken care of!

    Be careful when buying with CheapOAir. The booking system is ok and everything is quick up to the point where they have taken your money. I bought a flight ticket through them because my company provided a discount as part of our benefits. Bought the ticket pretty easily and they also suggest some good options for insurance/hotels etc...

    I bought a ticket that is cancellable (not refundable but cancellable at any time before the flight so you get travel credits for whenever you want to fly next). When I wanted to cancel the ticket, suddenly everything was no longer quick. So many roadblocks to dissuade people from cancelling. Instructions on the website were unclear or just keeps driving you in loops to nowhere. There was absolutely no updates after I had cancelled as to what is going on, even days before the flight. You have to wait on the phone for hours. They clearly cannot handle the traffic they are getting OR it's done on purpose so people grow out of patience and don't get that refund or cancellation (just my opinion).

    If a company can develop a system that can quickly book your ticket, it can also add a feature for quick cancellation. It's not hard (I'm a software engineer). If this feature is not present, it's most likely by design. All this to say, CheapOAir makes it really easy and quick until they have gotten your money. Once they have your money, it's really tedious and time consuming for customers to cancel a ticket, so think twice before booking anything with them.

    I had a confirmed paid round trip reservation. I received an email from CheapOair stating "your airline has changed your flight schedule because there isn't enough time between connecting flights. As your travel advisors, we strongly urge you to select and confirm the alternate flight(s) in the link below. You must act within 24 hours to avoid further delays or incur additional charges.". This email takes me to a page of new choices. The first being very similar to my existing reservation. I chose it.

    Next page says "this choice is not available please go back and choose another". The next choice was a 19 hour connecting flight. (Normally a 6 hour flight.) I went back to look for more choices. There weren't any direct round trips. I chose the first choice again to see if maybe there was a glitch. App takes me to a page saying "Airline Schedule Change - Request Already Submitted. Thank you for updating your schedule. The change you have requested has already been submitted and is still being processed. Please note that this itinerary is not final until you receive a confirmation email from us, which will be sent to desi@**. If you have any additional questions or concerns, visit Customer Support."

    I never received a confirmation. My return flight is this Saturday. I need answers. Was my choice processed? Why haven't I gotten an email? The airline has no record of my return flight. I PAID for a ROUND TRIP with CheapoAir. They never processed my choice when they told me I had to make a new choice. When I called their customer support number at the time I followed their emailed instructions I got a recording saying my trip isn't for several days, "please call back" and it hangs up on me.

    I'm leaving tomorrow. It's my return trip that's not showing up on Alaska Airlines NOR on CheopoAir's app. I called their 646-738-4818 listed on the email they had sent me to make these changes. Their recording hung up on me 3 times before my 4th call to them had me on hold for 1 hour before the recording changed to "the number you have dialed is invalid, please try your call again' and it hangs up on me.

    I go on my desktop. I call their 646-738-4817 number. THIS number hung up on me several times before I finally am on hold for now 54 minutes with no luck.

    I called the airlines directly at one point this morning and they confirmed a one way trip. The return is not in their system. They could not help me obviously. In fear I would not get a return flight when I needed it, I booked a return flight directly with the airline, and I have to say that this entire experience with CheapOair was a bust. They are NOT available when you need them, their customer service is totally non existent. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone.

    Now that Im done with this review, I am still on hold with their 4817 number and I just got a recording "The number you have dialed is invalid. Please try your call again" and they hung up. I tried emailing them. They ask you to chose the subject of your email from a pull down menu of 4 Subject choices. Each choice I picked came up with a note saying "For all queries related to 'Trouble booking online. (same note for the other 3 menus choices)', Please call us at 1-646-738-4820 or chat with us now, and one of our Travel Specialists will help you as soon as possible." Making it IMPOSSIBLE to send them an email.

    So I chose a money related problem. My email request went through. Sure it did. But! They’re mailbox is full. Email undeliverable!!! Unbelievable. It’s impossible to reach them. IMPOSSIBLE. Well CHEAPOAIR, you hung up on a PAYING CUSTOMER. You've left me hanging and as a result I had to buy a return ticket home.

    CheapOair has a difficult process to cancel flights. I have been trying to cancel flight from Seoul to DFW. First of all it takes more than an hour to get hold on someone, then they say flight will be canceled with email confirmation but never process it. I even called the airline. They say they can't cancel from their end and I have to go through cheapoair.. dialing cheapoair daily for an hour wait has become part of my daily routine now. It's frustrating. All I want is flight cancellation to be processed.. This is a joke, that customers who are stuck abroad should go through this.

    I am updating my one star review, because some finally got back to me with some answers after 2.5 months of trying to resolve my problem. I ended up not losing all my money, just the airline's non-refundable fee and the flight insurance fee (different company than CheapOair). I did receive airline credit for up to 24 months.     I booked a flight through Cheapoair and had to cancel it due to Covid; this gave me credit to use in the future. Today I called to use that credit, after finding the correct flight on their website. When I called to book it I was quoted a price 60 dollars higher than the online listing. I provided the details of that online listing to ensure we were viewing the same flight. The agent explained that since I was using credit there were "additional taxes" to pay. Basically, Cheapoair made me pay more for using a credit than I would have paid were I a new customer. This is nothing more than a scam to ensure they get extra money.     Purchased airline tickets for travel in July 2020, had to cancel due to airline cancelling our flight and changing the return flight from a DIFFERENT country. We were supposed to fly back from Portugal, the substitute offered was a flight from Frankfurt, Germany. Filled out the form for refund request on their website and a week later was granted "future credit". Future Credit does not indicate how much is owed, when it expires, how and where I can use it. The tickets were booked on Brussels Airline reservation with actual flights on United and Air Canada. There is no way I can use the credit on a Brussels Airline flight as they do not fly our of my local airport.

    Called the airline and they stated were are eligible for a refund, but we have to contact the travel agency. Took forever to talk to an agent on CheapOair, then that's when the calls kept getting disconnected. Very questionable practice, I would not do business with them again. I will be contacting my state's attorney generals office, BBB, credit card company, etc. to get every cent back.

Although there were significant changes too in our rebooking due to COVID 19 pandemic we still find it is much easier to rebook a flight compared to a competitor who I have been constantly calling and sending email request to date. More than two have passed not even a single resolution was offered and the worst thing is, we are not even sure if we could get our refund to the return flight.

    Updated on 11/17/2021: We're going to Australia to Melbourne flower show in 2020 but everything got canceled through Covid we got all rounds from everyone else involved in our holiday EXCEPT CheapOair. They would not answer their ph or emails would not work. Eventually got a hold of them and managed to get them to extend the tickets for 12 months and have had to go back for another extension which they allowed but this did not happen easily, believe me and this is the first and last time we would ever deal with them. Also asked if we could use tickets credit to travel somewhere else, their answer was NO.

    Original Review: Booked in end of Nov 2019 to fly via Emirates to Australia at end of March 2020 but Covid-19 caused to trip to be stopped so filed in online request for refund. They replied once weeks and weeks later of a credit that must be taken up in a certain no of hours by phoning also say it would cost and $118 to do this and I would only get 3/4 of value of tickets credit for another flight which had to be used by Nov 2020 so I rung. Could not get through. Only an message left on ph at their end. They took money from our account without permission. Have had no other contact from them and heard nothing else. WOULD NEVER NEVER USE THEM EVER AGAIN.

    My dad is in India stranded due to COVID. He was supposed to come back on March 23 but two days before the flight Air India canceled all its flights. I was notified of the the cancellation and I took immediate action to reschedule or get refund whichever option available. I filled out the Coronavirus related form for refund. In addition, I called customer service many times but each time I was put on hour long hold and call would disconnect after. When I chose "New Booking" option someone picked up but he said he is unable to help me and transferred me again to be on another hold until my call disconnects again.     I was notified by email our flights were canceled 3 times. I appreciate the timely notice of cancellation. When I tried to request a refund I was notified that we would lose over 421USD. CheapO told me that I would need to call Lufthansa which I did. I called Lufthansa and was told we were entitled to a full refund but since the ticket was purchased by CheapO Lufthansa could not process the refund. CheapO itself needed to contact Lufthansa Travel Agency Support to process the full refund but after waiting a few days the refund has not been processed. I called CheapO and they have not canceled the return part of this ticket and I had asked that the entire ticket be canceled and refunded but CheapO has not even begun the process.

    Tried to rebook 4 days before and still tried 1 week after. No response from phone calls, email or online chat. On hold with customer service for one hour each day (that’s 11 days!!!) and another hour each day waiting in chat queue. I would end each day with an email, when I was able to leave one. So it’s now been 2 months and all I wanted to do was rebook in Sept. Now I’ve gone with another company and they still won’t refund any money, no credits, nothing and no one. Such a disgrace.

    I have used a number of online booking tools and decided to give CheapOAir a try to book some European flights. The first surprise is that it is not very clear that CheapO charges you a $35 booking fee per ticket which is added onto your credit card as a separate charge. No other online booking tool I've utilized has done this. Secondly, when the COVID crises hit and the airline cancelled our flights, we were pushed back to CheapO to deal with it. It seems CheapO has disintegrated during the crises - their 1-800 number pushes you to a toll line, and the toll line tells you to deal with everything online.

    What you learn online is that if you want to hold a credit with the airline for future travel, CheapO will charge you another $35 per ticket to facilitate. If you want to cancel they will charge you $70 per ticket. They also have a line that says when you re-book with that 'credit' they will charge you again for booking. What a poor effort at customer service during the Covid crises. I will never use CheapO in the future to book anything. It seems the best alternative is to book with the airline directly, because then at least you have some control over the cancellation/changing of your ticket! BOOO CheapO!

    On Jan 14 2020, I reserved 2 air tickets through CheapOair with an international airline from airport TAO to KIX on 5/24/2020 for $291.96. On 04/04/2020, I got email and text message saying there was change for my reservation and asked me to call in. I tried to call many times and only got auto answer like “Due to Covid-19, no service is available”. I also tried to email or submit the customer support case online and never got response.

    On 05/05/2020, I finally called in and the representative told me that the airline canceled the flight and no flight is available from airline. And then he filed the refund request on the airline’s website and there is no fee charge from cheapOair. I asked for the confirmation email and he said no such email. He told me if I want the receipt, I should go to cheapOAir online to file the cancel/refund request, but it is not required.

    On 05/18/2020, I still got no response from cheapOAir and the call to cheapOAir became auto answer like “Due to Covid-19, no service is available” again. On CheapOAir website, it showed my reservation is still active and the flight has to be cancelled before the departing time. So I submitted cancel/refund request on cheapOAir webside as I was told by the representative. It turned out that I did not get any refund and there was $70 more charge put on my credit card. I still could not reach cheapOAir till now.

    Reservations for air and rental car were made through CHEAPOAIR for travel to Edinburg Scotland from the United States on March 16-March 2, however; due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the flights where cancel the day of departure. Trying to contact CHEAPOAIR was impossible March 16 and when I finally reach a representative several weeks later I was either disconnected, or told that I would be contacted by a Cheapoair representative in the future (10, 14 days, two weeks,...). They request a $70 "cancellation fee" upfront before they said they would even attempt a refund.

    Obviously, I didn't show up to pick the rental car since I had no way of getting from Florida to Edinburg Scotland on the scheduled day to pick up. According to Alamo rental car, they never received payment since I didn't show up. Now, Cheapoair says that I can't get a refund ($384.68) because I didn't cancel within 14 days of pickup. This company is deceptive, unscrupulous, elusive fraudulent and crooked at best.

    Our original returned flight is June 30 2020 from Manila to Los Angeles CA but because of Corona Virus 19 lockdown the EVA air canceled our flight and I was asked to rebooked. So I was to rebooked our returned flight to Oct 11 2020 however they charged me an additional fees of 280. 00 plus.     I was trying to get 2 tickets from Vancouver to Istanbul. I found really good tickets for 2 and wanted purchased on Cheapoair. But somehow, it did not go through and someone from Cheapoair called me. I explained him that we were not able to layover in 2 cities in Europe because we did not have a Schengen visa. Also we said we wanted to get connected flights.

    After 1 hour he said he found really good 2 tickets. From Vancouver to Frankfurt, Frankfurt to Istanbul. We wanted to buy it right away. But representative did not tell us specifically that we had to check in for AirCanada (which we specifically said we did not want to deal with AirCanada, only Lufthansa could be) and in Frankfurt WE HAVE TO COLLECT OUR LUGGAGE to go out from International side and Check-in again with Turkish Airlines. He did not even mention that was non-connected flights. He did not even mention we would be having second booking number for Istanbul flight. Moreover, tickets he got from AirCanada was just the basic that does not include luggage in the price at all. at least he could ask me I had an option. If he did mention any of these I would understand this flight was not connected.

    One day later I got my money back from Air Canada, I was shocked because I thought I did purchase my tickets from Lufthansa. I called Cheapoair several times they said no cancelation seeing. But it did not satisfy me and I called AirCanada. When I gave the booking number, they were only able to see Vancouver- Frankfurt flights which I was shocked. They said this flight is not connected with Istanbul flight.

    I directly called Cheapoair and said to them I wanted to talk to a Supervisor. They transferred me to someone (located in New Delhi, India). She said “Call AirCanada on Monday and and ask about it one more time”. She also said that she would call me on Monday to update me about representative's mistake. And I wanted to thank her and asked if her family is okay. Instead of taking other customers, she started talking about her personal life such as she is stuck in New Delhi, her cousin is sick etc. I personally felt that she was very bored and unprofessional. I felt she chose to chat with me instead of calling AirCanada and made me call them.

    I called them on Monday and they said “These are basic tickets which you can not either change or refund them.” I was shocked. Representative did not even tell me I had an option. Plus I had to pay $300 per passenger for 2 pieces of luggage in Canada and after I collect my luggage, I had to pay $100 Euro per passenger in Germany.! RIDICULOUS!

    Early morning, I called Cheapoair in order to talk to supervisor, but she did not get back to me until 9 pm. The reason she called because I forced representatives to let her know that she promised me for call back on Monday. I was on the phone with them total 6 hours. NO HELP AT ALL. She was telling me “Just wait maybe flight will be cancelled!” Well that is not even a connected flight. If one is cancelled you are going to make another problem to me with other flight.! I am going to talk to a manager tomorrow. But I am not even sure that she mentioned about me. I do not trust any of them after I waited for 4 days struggling. I am so stressed and upset about the service.

    I have been flying since 2014. I have never seen that I paid for my luggage and collect them. not even Cheapoair offered me ticket such these ones. I am not the expert. We want them to make sure they speak CLEARLY and SLOWLY. Which some of the representatives are not clearly talking to us. Who is going to pay for it? I do not know but I am planning to open up a legal case about what they caused me. They seriously gave us financial and emotional damage.

    I purchased a flight with CheapOair and since realized that going directly to the Airline in most cases is always cheaper. To top it off, the Airline cancelled the Flight due to Covid19 and was offering full refund in the form of a Future Credit Or Refund. However, CheapoAir did not offer this. Instead, I got my refund back on the flight and then hit with a $70 Charge for not requesting a Cheapoair credit for a future booking. I don't understand how they think a $70 charge is warranted on a Flight Cancellation out of my Control and in times like these were Airlines are unable to operate, and the country has shut down it's borders. Bybass Cheapoair and book with the airlines directly. Most will even offer incentives for future bookings. Frontier offered me a 70,0000 mile credit or a full refund on that return flight.

    I am a novice traveler. When searching for airfare to Orlando, I usually take the train, your website came up first. Your agent might have let me know that by going directly to the Frontier website I could get my ticket for less than $50. What a scam you have going. Why not be like the Santa in Miracle on 34th Street? He sent people to a rival dept. store and the customers loved the store for it. So for anyone reading this - GO TO THE AIRLINE WEBSITE FIRST! Plus I only changed the flight from morning to afternoon on the same day and was charged this huge change fee. Another scam!

    Make sure you don't confuse the included Travel Insurance with cancellation insurance. It isn't explained completely. I thought I had cancellation insurance instead I had Travel Insurance that covered, well, I don't know what, but it wasn't for cancellation. I will never go through these third party travel assists again. Go directly to carrier. One reason why I usually travel Amtrak.

    I have been using Cheapo Air for years. The first time I needed assistant I couldn't get it. I text 4 times that I had to cancel a flight. 4 times they sent me a text message that they would call me back (They didn't). I finally got somebody on the phone that set it up so I could exchange tickets for another flight. (They didn't). 2 hours before Flight time I called American Airlines that I had no notification from Cheapoair that the trip was cancelled or set up for exchange tickets at a later date. Their flight insurance is as basically as bad as CheapOair. I don't even want to go there. Tickets were for $2780.00.

    American Airline Customer Service told me that they had nothing from Cheapoair and that basically they had thrown me under the Bus. Cheap o air had me listed that I had took the flight days before the flight. I want to thank American Airlines. I got new flights, another trip with the same tickets and I didn't lose my money. Beware, if I had not called American Airlines I would of lost $2780.00 dollars. The incompetence of these people is unbelievable. Dont risk your money or flights with Cheapoair.

    I purchased round trip ticket for my family of 3 for Jan & Feb 2020 travels. Due to COVID, there was a travel ban to our stop over. I asked to have our return rerouted, but agent said no reroutes available from the country we are in to our destination. So I asked refund instead, and book our return elsewhere. Agent said refund if up to 60 working days. I requested the refund Feb 4, 2020, made follow-ups, agents just said 60 working days and it is now May 18, 2020, still nothing. I recently made follow-up again and the reply states they just send the request to the refund team to check on the information. Worst booking ever and worst customer service, so hard to contact.

    CHEAPOAIR ARE THIEVES. Due to Covid-19 the airline cancelled our flight. CheapOair refused to refund our ticket price, instead saying that it HAD to be held for future travel credit (which would expire before we would be able to fly again). They said the airline was the one dictating the policy. I called the airline directly and the airline said "No, through our policy you are entitled to a full refund". I called CheapOair back and told them this, even forwarded them the Refund Authorization from the Airline; they told me they would get back to me within 48 hours. One week later, I did not hear from them. I have called three times now, and they keep telling me that they don't know anything, but will look into it and call me back, but never call back. COMPLETE SCAM COMPANY. TOTAL BS!

    CheapoAir is the worst low fare travel agency, period. They will take your money and won't give it back even if the airline cancels your flight. They will also put you on hold and will never come back to you. I was put on hold for an hour and fifteen minutes without so much as a peep and finally gave up. Pretty sure the fellow, Asheed, didn't want me to take the survey at the end of the call. I think their actions are fraudulent as they allow you to book flights, charge your credit card and the flight is cancelled the same day or the next day. CheapoAir will not refund the price of the tickets or their fees. That's fraud in my book and I intend to pursue it with the U.S. DOT. Everyone needs to avoid CheapoAir like the coronavirus...

    I give this company 0 but had to give one star to move on.. I booked 3 flights From LA to Indiana. My sisters and I were going to drive to LA meet family, we have never met, and fly home. I booked my flights in late January to Fly out July 26th. I paid 826.56 for 3 flights. They make you give names of the flyers at the time. Once COVID19 hit we were waiting to see what would happen. One of my sisters are unable to go because she was laid off work and by the time she gets back to work she will not have vacation time to take. So as soon as I find out I call CheapOair. I have been on hold except to speak to 4 different people for no more than 30 min. I have made 4 phone calls and every phone call I have been hung up on.

    I have talked to Ezra, Boyce, Standford and Straun. The last call Straun got me to a supervisor after being on hold for 3 hours. The supervisor never gave me his name. He said he was calling American Air to see if we can change the name of one of my sisters and have my brother go. I figured it was better after seeing the reviews of CheapOair than asking for a refund. After being on hold another hour waiting on American Air to pick up my call was disconnected again. It is 1am in Indiana and I have been on the phone with CheapOair since 6 trying to get this resolved.

    My wife's round trip ticket from FL to China 01/07/2020 went okay and we had purchased travel insurance for her. While in China she CheapOair called her and said, "Your flight is canceled." They said she needed to pay again for her flight back to the USA. She asked about her refund and was assured it would be refunded within 60 days. So she purchased another ticket and paid approximately $1000.00. After many frustrating calls to CheapoAir (many times the customer service rep would say, "Yes Mam let me transfer you," and then upon transfer the call would hang up. We know it was intentional. After approx 90 days my wife received $.01 refund and also in the letter said the insurance would pay nothing.

    Added a car rental to this booking when originally made. Current situation resulted in that flight being delayed. Received email notification that flight was cancelled. Later rebooked flight. Noted that the car rental was shown as the original date and not revised to the new date. Called and told that the car reservation needed to be cancelled separately and as it had not, then Cheapoair could not help except to send an email, which I could not be copied on, to the car company and request a refund.

    Nowhere in any of the information Cheapoair sent concerning this booking number does it reflect that Cheapoair, while including reserving cars and hotels, does not coordinate these same services should a flight be cancelled by the airlines. As a full service travel company I am surprised that 'full service' is not offered and Cheapoair does not accept responsibility for the services, such as car rental, in such a situation. Additionally, failure to include me as a customer on your company request for reimbursement demonstrates a further lack of commitment to service.

    I booked flights with CheapOair in October 2019. Myself and my husband were due to fly to the UK on April 15, 2020, and return on May 3, 2020. I received, via email, notification from Cheapoair that my flights were cancelled and to complete the online form to apply for a voucher/refund. That was the last I heard. The 800 number is a recording only. Nobody has contacted us from the company. We are seniors and have worked hard for our after tax dollars. Our flights totalled approximately $1300 Cdn. Obviously they are overwhelmed with refund requests, and I do understand this. However, I have read reviews from travellers with travel dates way after ours receiving communication from the company and given refunds/vouchers. I just wish someone from the company would contact us and let us know what our options are. This is certainly a hard learned lesson from us.

    I booked a ticket in February. I canceled my ticket due to covid-19. They sent me a email that my ticket was successfully canceled and have processed refund but I didn't get a thing yet. And it just says process and you can't get in contact with no one. Do not book from CheapOair. Oh and they took $315 out of my flight ticket. They charge me extra fees for canceling my ticket.     I booked my tickets for three separate bookings due to multiple family members traveling for a graduation in March. Due to the pandemic I was asked in April by CheapOair to change my booking time to a later time on all three separate bookings or I would risk losing my flight as well as no refund if they cannot find a flight that meets our needs. I honored their request. Then we were notified that the graduation was postponed to July. I called on several occasions and tried to get through with long wait times, I emailed as requested online. No response and then was able to get through on an online chat a week later. I spoke to Christopher who informed me that I couldn't make changes to my booking as I used my free coronaviruis cancellation back in March and when I informed him that this was not per my request he then informed that I would have to wait to see if the airlines would cancel my flight as there was nothing he could do.

    I asked if I could pay additional fees and he then said no I need to be patient and just wait to see what happens with the pandemic as this would be my only opportunity to make changes. I asked to speak to a supervisor or to at least have Christopher call me as it appeared that it was turning into an online argument going back and forth. He then transferred me to supervisor Shane who was pleasant and attempted to assist. We kept getting disconnected and he said he would call me back once he got through to the airlines since we kept getting disconnected online... Never received a call to date.

    Over a week later my email was answered and had no issues changing my flights at a very high cost and Jasmine stated she did not know why I was informed that I couldn't make these changes previously, even though I had made accommodations to my reservations for them there was no consideration taken on my part and I paid the fees. I would not recommend CheapOair to anyone nor will I be using them again.

    CheapOair doesn't refund money normally but when all international air travel was cancelled they contacted me about my flight to the Philippines. They said in order for me to get my refund from United Airlines I had to pay CheapOair $140.00. They didn't reimburse me any of the money I paid them for select seating, (over $300.00) and charged me the $140.00 on top of that. I think United was reimbursing ticket funds regardless and CheapOair took advantage of the Covid 19 shut down to make more money. I think a class action should be started because of this gross behavior.

    I had to cancel a flight due to the virus and I haven't heard anything back yet. I put in for a refund and again nothing. The trip cost about $700. I even bought insurance just in case I had to cancel. I just tried calling where I was on hold for an hour and then got disconnected after waiting all that time. Nobody has reached out to me yet about my refund. I'm hoping this will get me the attention I want. I have always used CheapOair when flying but I'm starting to rethink that decision now.

    I originally booked round trip tickets to go to my brother's wedding. I booked online and when I got my itinerary I realized it didn't charge me for everything it should have so I called. I waited 3 hours before I talked to someone. When I got on the phone (keep in mind it was my first time purchasing tickets) the lady had me convinced I needed all this extra stuff so I ended up paying way more money than needed to come and figure out I didn't need to spend that.

    I ended up needing a different flight because my caregiver moved out so I need to go home to my family my flight was cancelled and was informed they absolutely couldn't give me a refund and they couldn't use the other part of the round trip tickets and just switch the direction I'd be going to get me home.     I have repeatedly used CheapOair for years, but I swear this was the last time to book flight from them. The experience has been awful and the problem has not been resolved yet. I have booked international flight for early April through CheapOair on Feb 19, and realised that I wouldn't be able to travel due to the pandemic, so decided to cancel from their corona cancellation request form, but never received anything, even after multiple attempts.

    So I finally decided to contact them as my scheduled flight was approaching. I went on to the live chat, finally they canceled my flight, but I wanted to make sure that I'd get refund instead of credit for future travel. They didn't have any clear answer if I (my flight destination) was eligible for refund. The agent actually asked ME to make a phone call to the airline directly, who of course told me to talk with CheapOair to process the refund. But during the conversation with the airline, they confirmed that I was eligible for full refund.

    So I went back to agent again, told them that I was eligible for refund and asked to process the refund. Apparently, they needed some sort of a confirmation code from the airline, so they couldn't process the refund. They just told me to wait for about 10-15 days. I waited 10 days. No news from CheapOair. 15 days, no news. I went back to the live chat, talked with another agent. They said they contacted Aeroflot, but haven't heard back and just waiting for their response. They asked me to wait for another 5-6 days.

    I waited and no news. I went back to them multiple times and asked if they had any news, the answer was always no. They would not follow up with the airlines nor make a phone call. The only thing they told me was to wait until they have an update. So even after a month, I am still waiting for their updates and no news yet. They are not willing to follow up with the airline or help me at all.

    I am simply shocked to see how slow they work and how unwilling they are to help/prioritize their customers. I am very offended and would never use CheapOair ever again. But first, I need to get my money back, which I have no idea when after countless attempt. I am very offended how they handle this and my experience with them has been absolutely worst.

    Updated on 05/23/2020: I might sound like a Karen but this has been frustrating. We purchased airline tickets for a once in a lifetime family trip to the Azores in February 2019. With concerns over COVID-19, I simply wanted to ask a few questions and decide whether or not we would travel. Well trying to contact them consists of either waiting on hold for an hour and being disconnected or sitting on the virtual chat for 3-5 hours. Yes, literally all afternoon my wife and I swapped off waiting for the virtual chat to count down our Queue. Now the virtual chat has changed so that no human is available for chat.

    In the mean time, the airline changed the itinerary by 3 full days which is cause for cancellation and a full refund. To get the full refund, however, has been like jumping through hoops. Minimal customer service. Customer service reps yelling at me not to contact them unless the trip is within 72 hours. I only was contacted by someone from CheapOair after I filed a BBB complaint. But if I miss their phone call, the return number disconnects. Fast forward to now, it appears as though they are refunding the tickets but NOT the $614.55 insurance nor the $152.55 "traveler assist". Long story short, I would not do business with cheap o air ever again.

    Original: We booked our once in a lifetime trip for August 2020 back in January and purchased the optional travel protection. Now that the pandemic has hit hard, we are in the same boat as many others and we do not wish to fly at this time. I can't simply accept a credit for the next calendar year because we may not all be able to get the time off together by then. Calling Cheap O Air I was stuck on hold several times before being disconnected. Using the online customer service tool, we spent 3.5 hours waiting in Queue just to be told they can't help us. Now that we are 3 months away, they are offering to cancel with a $75 cancellation fee per ticket - $675 total ! And TripMate (optional protection package) does not cover pandemics. Online forums indicate many airlines are offering full refunds, hassle free. Air New Zealand, Delta, Air Canada, Southwest, etc. I don't think I will use Cheap O Air ever again.

    I booked 3 round trip tickets for my mother, my friend, and myself for my son's graduation back in December. I was also suggested to purchase travel protection plans for all 3 of us since the flights were all in May. Things happen... As we all dealing with pandemic, of course my son's graduation had been canceled, state-wide stay-at-home in order in both US and Japan. So I requested cancelation of all 3 round trip tickets. Unfortunately Cheapoair, yes, they stated they are keeping all the service fees....and I was also charged extra $70/ passenger as cancelation fee..

    I questioned them then what were the benefits of Travel Protection Plan I purchased, then they told me that so I was able to get refund for the 100% of airfare portion.... Everyone is basically getting 100% refund from airline companies right now! I ended up losing $900 in fees total... I will never use Cheapoair ever again. I will book my flight directly with the airlines even though it may be more... I learned my lesson that I will lose more to save a little bit.

    We booked a flight on 12Nov19 for Italy 15Sep20 to 29Sep20 via Cheapoair and received an email that the flights were cancelled on 25Apr20 by the airline stating that the airline has no alternate flights available, so they must cancel and refund the tickets. I went to the Cheapoair website as guided by them and canceled the entire reservations of flights and requested a refund. I did not get a refund for the flights but now have 'CREDIT" with Cheapoair but the amount of credit is not known since they do not show that on the website.

    You cannot call Cheapoair, they state they are unable to take calls. Per the last email I received it states the following information about the credit I will get from them with ADDITIONAL FEES. IT IS REALLY UPSETTING WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH CREDIT YOU HAVE. We also did not cancel the trip - the Airlines did. Why do we have to pay for additional fees. We just want a refund - how do they know this is not going to happen again - personally I don't want to fly anywhere. The following terms will apply to your credit and to your use of it:

    · This credit is non-transferable and non-refundable.
    · May only be used by the person(s) named on the original ticket for which it is being issued, regardless of who purchased the ticket(s).
    · When re-booking a trip with your credit, you understand that you must pay our re-booking service fee per person, any applicable airline change fee, and any difference in airfare.

    I'm incredibly frustrated that I purchased the travel insurance that Cheapoair offered, then they denied my claim. I bought the insurance before the Coronavirus went wild. My event that I was traveling to was cancelled and I filled out a long form to process my claim. About a month later I got a letter in the mail that my claim was denied. Page 12 of the terms and conditions state that Travel Insurance means coverage for "interruption or cancellation of a trip or event". While on the phone, I was told the underwriters meant for this to happen while I was on the trip, not beforehand. This is **. The least they could do is reimburse me for the insurance. At least the airline (Spirit) gave me a flight credit for a year.

    The price is good, right? Can save a bit and take your family on a trip for less $$, right? Not if you have any changes in your itinerary (even on the airlines part). Booked February 21. April 5 and April 8: We received 2 emails saying there was a change to our itinerary and asking us to watch email and respond in 72 hours. No more details. No more emails. Ever.

    April 6 & 9 & other days: Tried calling customer service to see what was going on and the number redirected to a recording saying they aren’t taking calls and to fill out a form on their website. Tried calling for a few days; always the same recording. Still no idea what was happening on the flight we paid a couple grand on. April 6 & 9: Finally, we filled out the form (twice, in 2 different locations) and were told very specifically not to block a certain number and to watch for a call from that number by... “We estimate that we can process your request by 15 day(s) from day of request.”

    April 9 & 18: No call came. Instead we got a very generic email with all the potential options of what could happen. Tried calling customer service again, got the same recording saying they aren’t answering calls. April 10: We see a charge on our cards for an additional $175! No notification and we had no idea what it is for. Still can’t reach customer service.

    April 28: 2 weeks before our initial trip, we go back to see if this flight is still scheduled or not. Log in to our account, no flights are listed. Try calling again and it finally seems like someone will answer... but only after waiting on hold for 30 minutes while being told the whole time that a “customer service specialist will be with you shortly”.???

    Finally they tell me that the flight was cancelled and I was scheduled for a refund, but the $175 is their fees for cancelling and issuing a refund. And now it will take 4-8 more weeks to get my refund because it hadn’t even been issued yet. So they got their fees almost 3 WEEKS AGO and hadn’t even started the process of getting me my money back (for a flight that was initially cancelled by the airline and not by me).

    When I got the email about the cancellation, I finally got the notice about being charged the $175 and that the refund would still have additional fees and service charges taken out. Ugh! Such a pain in the butt! So if you want to take the chance that everything will go well, then it’s worth booking with CheapOAir, but honestly, save yourself the headache and just spend the extra $100-200 to book anywhere else! Cuz you’ll probably lose that money anyway.

I filled out all that is required and I chose the refund option which charged me $210 (3 tickets x $70). I was fine with it as long as I get the full refund back. However, they sent me an email saying I could only qualify for a travel fund. Furthermore, they charged me $105 (3 tickets x $35) to convert it to a travel fund.     I bought 2 tickets for Italy on Nov 29, 2019 for an April 3, 2020 departure. I started to try to correspond with CheapOair via email and phone calls on February after Italy has issued a lockdown. I have gone through their website help page regarding requests for flight cancellations/inquiry, per Cheapoair instruction. Numerous service ticket numbers were auto-generated and have been emailed to me advising me to await a response from them. To this day, April 25, all I get are auto-generated emails with the same message, no update nor details whatsoever!

    Calls are even more terrible - We have attempted more than a dozen times and have to wait countless hours on each of them. My longest wait was close to 4 hours but was cut off after becoming 3rd on the line (from being caller 190++). On the couple of times we got through to somebody, we were put on hold but then was inexplicably get dropped out. On the other few times we got through, the agents were at a loss as to how to proceed with my ticket’s refund that has since been credited back to them by American Airlines on April 3!

    Also, Cheapoair paid American Airlines by check for my ticket whereas my wife’s was charged directly to my credit card. At first I could not understand why but after digging further, I found the reason: During the booking process online, my name did not correctly reflect on their system. I vehemently challenged that the error was on my part but I gave Cheapoair the benefit of the doubt and consequently had them charge me $260 to proceed with the name correction. I found out later that American Airlines actually charged only $60 for the name correction! That means $200 went to Cheapoair! Now, I am deeply suspicious that I really made that mistake given the unreliability of their website which still show to this day that my booking is still “active” and that none of the agents can’t seem to find any details regarding my refund.

    On other places on their website, my booking still show as “non-refundable”! This confirms my suspicion that their system is deficient and it may have caused the error. I can only hope that the error was not deliberate. Maybe it should be checked by authorities on how frequent chargeable “errors” or “changes“ occur in Cheapoair bookings. The latest email I got, on April 25, is one that has “refund complete” placed on the subject line but again no details are found on the body! Needless to say, nothing has reflected on my Bank account. I actually only ask for any status update on my refund and not demand to expedite the process. Their dismissal of my voluminous inquiries forced me to write this review with the hope that they will finally reach out.

    I'm not happy with the service provided by CheapOair company. This company took my money and didn't give me a good service, I mean never talked to me by phone or chat, and when I requested a cancellation for a trip that I had planned to Florida on March 18th, 2020 this company didn't answer my phone calls, questions, and others inquiries about my cancellation. In fact, this company charged me 156$ for booking 2 airplane tickets plus 70$ for the cancellation, which was confirmed one month after my cancellation request. Awful=1-star company.

    My fiance is an essential employee, and booked a flight through INSANELYCHEAPFLIGHTS.com even buying the additional insurance. Now she is receiving emails offering her a refund, but the website states her booking number isn't eligible for a refund- so we are stuck. INSANELYCHEAPFLIGHTS phone number is completely disconnected and play a recording to contact CheapOair. This is the worst customer service I've ever seen. if I am not credited back the funds within the next 3 business days, I'll be doing a charge-back.

    This is the worst flight booking site you could ever use, and I will passionately recommend anyone against ever using them again. I used CheapOair to book a flight home to Canada from Bali, on April 14th, 2020, with Philippine Airlines. Due to the pandemic, my flight was cancelled. After several unsuccessful attempts at contacting cheapoair via phone and email, I directly contacted Philippine airlines. They at first told me that I needed to go through cheapoair, but when I said I had attempted to do so many times, they told me that I was eligible for a refund (not just credit), since my flight was cancelled, and that I needed to request a refund from cheapoair prior to the middle of May, in order to receive it. The agent told me that they sent a document to Cheapoair outlining this policy.

    Ok great, I am relieved. I went on to cheapoair website and requested a refund that day. I later received an email from Cheapoair stating that my requested cancellation had been received. I did not request a cancellation. My flight had already been cancelled, and I was requesting the refund that I was eligible for, as per the airlines instructions. I imagine that they will try and use this technicality to prevent issuing me a refund. Anyways, it has been three weeks, with absolutely no response via phone or email from the company. However, I see that they have responded on here several times recently to upset customers, so I figure the only way to receive a response may be when you publically discuss how horrendous their customer service is.

Received a phone call and an email initially where they said will be processed in 7 to 14 days... It's been more than a month and received an email saying, "We will not be able to respond before May 2020???" Also received an email saying: They will NOT BE issuing a REFUND which was confirmed earlier already even by Emirates. We have to Re-Book for dates of travel before December 2020?? How is that even possible with the current situation where we are not even sure we would travel again this year.

    In addition there will be additional rebooking fees whereas the flights have been cancelled and due to no fault of ours, where rules clearly are against it.     Spirit Airlines refunded me for my flight but Cheapoair has not responded to my requests to have my seat request and insurance refunded. I have sent many emails and no replies. They are not taking phone calls so there is no way to speak to someone in their customer service department.     I booked flights in Peru and Ecuador in mid-May and like everyone else my travel plans were affected by Covid-19. I got an email from Cheapoair that my flights had been affected and that I needed to go to this link to cancel/rebook or request a refund. I got to a page that only lets me pick one of these three options and then says if there is a problem an agent will call me. I pick the best option. What happens next floored me. I get charged $140 dollars to my credit card immediately. No one calls. They won't answer the phones, and I don't even know the status of my reservation other than it was cancelled. Peru and Ecuador have closed their borders to foreigners. I cannot get into the country, and they are charging more money. They now have 4K of my money and I have no information. This company is dishonest and taking advantage of people during a time when they should be helping out. I will never use them again.

    I had a flight scheduled with Turkish Airlines for 4/19/2020. There are no international flights until 5/20/2020 due to coronavirus. Called airline and, WITH NO FEES INVOLVED, have an open ticket. Now CheapOair is charging me a rebooking fee. I disputed this with them yesterday via email. No telephone or chat available for days. They took the $ out of my bank acct without authorization. Turkish Airlines even admitted this is illegal at this time. The flight was cancelled by the airline. I even have the Travel Protection Insurance with CheapOair! I believe they are taking advantage of the consumer because of these desperate times. They need to be reminded that WE as well are feeling the squeeze. SHAME ON THEM! I am disputing the charge through my bank. I will never use them again. I'll go direct!

    Reserved flight, hotel, car rental through CheapOair in December. Because of physician certified illness have to cancel several months ahead of time. Cannot reach them by phone and many emails have gone completely unanswered. To add insult to injury, several weeks ago they charged my cc with a $70 fee without even letting me know, presumably for a cancellation fee even though they have not credited me with the overt 1400 refund for the trip, and there is no response from them whatsoever.     I paid $791.30 for 2 tickets to Burlington from SFO WITH insurance (an additional $100). I asked for a refund within 24hours *on their policy that they will allow refunds within 24hours, look it up*, they wanted to CHARGE me 140 to get my refund and they only wanted to refund me 687.40 on top of it all that would take up to 2 weeks to return to me. After speaking with the first representative, I asked if they were able to transfer me to their supervisor and if they can deduct the 140 loss to my total cost instead. She said that she would transfer me, and then hung up the phone. The second person I was on the phone with repeated everything I had said above and told me that they would look to see if I had canceled within 24 hours, after waiting for 42min - He hung up on me.

    The third person I called went over my file and spoke to his supervisor and confirmed that I did cancel within 24hours and that they would be refunding me the full amount that I paid and emphasized with my situation/being hung up on. This gentleman DID take care of my issue within 10minutes and for that, I'm grateful but still extremely annoyed with CheapOair policies and ridiculous excuses to attempt to keep as much money as they can from you. The "insurance" is no use and is only applicable on your flight date apparently according to one of the representatives. I still have yet to receive a "confirmation" email of this email so I imagine I will have to call them again.. I will never recommend this service to anyone until the day I die.

    Worst booking agent ever. First and last I will ever use. It start when I first booked my flight online. Advertised flight on website was 1 price. Just before I checked out got a call from CheapOair that the price would be 800 usd more but they lowered it to 300 more than they advertised. Then during the virus it took approximately 50 times between emails and phone calls to finally speak to a human. Someone had canceled my flight back to USA (not me) and cheapoair charged my account for the cancellation. Now that I have to rebook a one way ticket back the price is about 800 usd more than I have already paid. This company is a total scam. I will report to our government if I ever get home.     We booked travel back in November 2019 for our trip to Germany prior to the pandemic. Due to the increasing spread, we unfortunately cannot leave the US for recreational travel. We submitted a request via the CheapOAir website and received a call a few days later. The agent we spoke with told us the flights had not been cancelled and that we would have to cancel the flight if we wanted to start the refund process. She also apologized for the fear we have of travelling, which we had to clarify that we had no fear, it was simply that the US was not allowing us to travel and we did NOT wish or want to cancel this trip but wanted a refund. She told us that they were not issuing refunds for our specific airline and that we would have to receive credit.

    She then cancelled our trip and did not mention the extra $70 fee that we would be charged and issued us a credit only to be used on CheapOAir website for Air New Zealand by 12/2/19. THE DATE IS EVEN WRONG ON OUR VOUCHER. We have been trying to get in contact with CheapOAir and have been given the runaround: voicemails and hours on hold only to be dropped calls.

    To double check, we reached out to the airline directly and were informed that that specific flight has already been cancelled for a month where all flights into the UK (our layover) had been suspended until further notice and that CheapOAir had in fact lied to us. The airline also mentioned that they were issuing refunds to customers due to the pandemic.

    We are at our wit's end, and are super frustrated about the process and deceit we have experienced. The sad part in all this, is that we are loyal customers of CheapOAir and have been using them for years and recommend them often to friends who travel. We also purchased the travel insurance to which we were told this does not apply. We just want our money back so we can use it to travel again next year!

    In the amidst of the pandemic situation with Coronavirus, where my itinerary was one of the cancelled flights, CheapOair sent me an email that is difficult to process, which I tried but was not responded to timely. I spent long hours waiting on customer service phone calls for days. I did not receive any assistance. So I negotiated directly with the airline involved and alas, I was assisted properly, rescheduled without due charges. I would commend GOD JOB KOREAN AIRLINES.

    After all my effort, CheapOair comes in again with an email that I need to cancel or rebook my previous flight, what the **. I already did with Korean Airlines!     I've reported CheapOAir to the Department of Transportation for their complete disregard of the Air Travel Guidelines to provide refunds to customers impacted by Covid-19 cancellations. I was booked to go from SLC to ZQN (Utah to Queenstown, NZ) on 3/25/20 with a return date of 4/7/20. The airlines canceled all but one flight (SLC to SFO) the day before my trip due to border closures. I had zero control over this. I have now reached out to CheapOAir a total of 10 times and the individual airlines as well. CheapOAir claims it is entirely in the airlines discretion to provide refunds but BOTH Hawaiian Airlines AND New Zealand Air have told me they don't get PAID from CheapoAir until the passenger takes the flight.

    They have taken $1200 of my hard-earned dollars during a time of economic crisis to line their pockets and CONTINUE to blame it on the airlines who haven't been paid from CheapoAir. I am still demanding a refund and CheapoAir has now refused to speak to me. I will continue filing complaints here: ** until I receive a refund. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.

    I am extremely appalled by the way CheapOair has handled the pandemic situation. There is no direct phone line and they are charging more money to cancel. They make you accept the terms for a cancellation, although they say in their terms that if you don't cancel before your travel date you won't receive anything back and it was like your ticket never existed. So you either have to accept more charges and wait to only get a credit or you lose your ticket entirely!! This is ridiculous. Do not book through cheapoair.

    I booked a flight last year to visit my daughter for the first time, the flight was to be on 4/29/2020. Since then CheapOair has changed my flight 5 l times, I accepted 2 of them only. The time was changed only. Not a big big deal. However after this Covid-19 started the Mayor stated a lockdown in my State. CheapOair sent me an email stating another change. I declined and told them I want a refund under the Covid-19 ACT. As per the President and officials stated the airlines and businesses are getting paid so they must do the right thing and REFUND all passengers not a VOUCHER.

    Anyway I contacted this company 4 times so far and not one response yet. Till today the email states I have 3 hours to accept this offer which is to accept a date of next year of this same time, I did not agree to this. In fact I contacted then again and still awaiting a response. Then I was ILLEGALLY charged a cancellation fee which I never agreed on. I never signed a contract. CheapOair voided any contract if there was any by pushing my flight more than 2 times without my permission then charging my credit card not even providing any statement to me or explanation. I find this company in VIOLATION and think a CLASS ACTION is in order.

    Still waiting for a response. You cant force me to change my flight to a new date and time without my permission and you sure cant charge my account a cancellation fee due to Covid-19 under the new COVID-19 ACT. CheapOair you need to follow directions of the government and adhere to them. You are just a travel agency and a bad one at that, I will also make a case against you if you seek any government funding under the SBL act. You know very well what I am referring to and know you are ripping off thousands of people. SHAME ON YOU.     I flew to Kenya fine. My flight was cancelled due to the pandemic. I chatted with this company who’s booked a replacement flight. Kenya air later reported this flight never existed. When I emailed Cheapoair 4 times I got no answer. When I chatted with them they said they could find no evidence of my booking. Horrible customer service. Don’t ever use them. I had to report them to MasterCard for fraud to try and recoup flight cost for this nonexistent flight. Also the travel insurance was billed for $600+. When it was supposed to be a little over $200.

    I've used CheapOair for several flights now and my last experience with them has by far been disappointing. I booked a flight with them for WestJet airlines and I was set to head home on March 23. WestJet announced they would cancel all flights due to the pandemic beginning March 22. I quickly booked a different flight and contacted WestJet airlines, who said they would normally issue a refund but they could not because I used an agent, and they asked me to deal directly with CheapOair. CheapOair's phone line was not working due to the number of calls, and I had no way to contact them other than filling out a refund form. This wasn't ideal but understandable given the situation.

    I filled out the form and waited over 2 weeks with no response at all. I finally visited the website and used a self service which indicated a very vague response about the cancellation going through and future credits will be enabled; I was annoyed they did not email and they waited for me to search the site for some self-service page that barely explained or answered my questions. I tried to contact customer support directly for help. The person I spoke to over a chatbox was confusing throughout the conversation, and it was frustrating getting her to elaborate.

    She finally explained that I would receive credits towards a future flight, provided that A) the flight is identical to the one I took (same location, airline, passengers, etc), B) I take it by January 2021, which means I have less than a year before these credits expire, C) I pay 32 dollars, and this money would not be deducted from the credit but I would need to pay it separately by providing my card information - over the chatbox of all places. Understandably, I was not comfortable sending my card information this way and I was also quite angry that they were giving me credits with a charge and a whole lot of restrictions on how I could use said credits. At one point, the person I spoke to even suggested that I could not get a refund because I was considered a "No-Show". The flight was cancelled BY the airline! How could I be a No-Show at a flight that never took place?

    Any time I pushed as to why I could not receive a refund, the person I spoke to never elaborated and simply gave vague excuses like they could not issue refunds due to "airline policies". Well, I didn't want to give them even more of my money just so they could give me credits towards a future flight and with credits heavily restricted in how I could use them. I am highly disappointed and I wish that they handled this situation more professionally, especially because I only used them to book flights in the past and now I will not be booking with them. I think it may be best to just book directly with the airline and know that you will be treated with better customer service.

But when the flight was cancelled 2 days later because of corona virus they even charged me a cancellation fee. After 10 billion emails because none of there phone numbers actually ring to a person but just refer to there terrible website.

    Finally 1 week later someone called me that didn't help me at all apart from tell me he would refund me the 35 dollars for the cancellation and that someone else will call me back about the refund for the plane ticket. It's been another week since then and I have sent another 1 million emails. No reply to the emails and no phone calls! They are terrible to deal with and very unprofessional. I found out from the airline directly that the flight was cancelled before CheapOair! CheapOair emailed me the day of the airline to tell me!!!! Absolutely disgusting of a service. Still waiting for my refund!

    I purchased a flight on Air France for April 20th from Paris to Genoa, Italy for 6 people. Due to the pandemic, my flight was canceled. I have spent hours on hold trying to get a refund. I spoke with Air France a couple weeks ago and was told I could get a refund through CheapOAir since that is where I purchased the tickets. After many more hours of trying to reach them and being put on hold, I was told that was not true by CheapOAir staff and that my only alternative was a credit from AirFrance (and for half the value of what I paid due to all CheapOAir fees). This was after I was told I had to cancel the flight on their website in order to ask for a refund (even though my flight was already canceled by Air France). So I did what they told me to and canceled my booking only to be told again that I couldn't get a refund because Air France would only issue credits.

    They then charged my an additional $210 for canceling my booking!!! Now I see that they are going to refund the $210 but that is all they are going to refund. I have tried to call them again several times but now they don't even answer any calls! I am beyond frustrated, especially since I found out (on Air France's website) that any Air France ticket purchased in the United States can get a refund from the place in the US that it was purchased. I want a refund, not a credit! This was to have been a trip of a lifetime and it is all ruined now. In addition, my husband has been laid off and we definitely need the refund. Thank God for American Airlines! For their part of the trip, they refunded our tickets immediately. CheapOAir has been terrible to deal with and it still isn't resolved. I hope someone can help with this whole mess.

    We had to cancel our air travel due to Covid19. I was NOT able to reach anyone on the phone and had no other choice but to use their online cancelation form. CheapOair charged us $175 for cancelling the flights even though the airlines were not charging. So we paid fees to book the flights (not refunded), fees to cancel for later date credit, and read that there are fees to rebook. This is criminal and needs to be investigated. They are taking advantage of this situation.

    So here is an update from my initial complaint on 4/9/2020, I was contacted today 4/13/2020 by a Supervisor named Gwin, he asked me why I posted my review and I explained to him that I would much rather go back home to Jamaica, whose borders are closed and are on a 3pm to 7am house curfew everyday until April 28th, and be with my husband after not seeing him for a year, which would be our 1 year wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday than have to cancel. However, it is not kind for a company to keep all of our money when it is NO FAULT of ours that we can't travel, especially when their borders are closed internationally. Other Jamaicans can't even get back in that are in the United States now. I told him to please look when I booked my trip which was 2/25/2020 way before the Government told us about this COVID 19 and had also been on other trips before that.

    So after receiving an email that my travel arrangements have been changed, I tried to contact these "People" and with several attempts of calls, emails, 51 per wait in chat, NOTHING. Finally, they post something on there that they will call you back so I hit that up 15 times to ensure I would but, even more pissed off every time that I am having to go through this just to get in contact with someone.

    Anyways, they took 80.00 more dollars from me right away to cancel hotel and flight however, both are in a destination that has CLOSED its BORDERS, I'm from Jamaica, trying to get home to see my husband, so after spending $483.00 for original booking plus their $80.00 fee to cancel for a total of $561.00 dollars, I actually only get back the money from the hotel $221.62, none of the fees they charge to book it.

    Because this COVID 19 is no fault of our own they need & should refund every dime that we spent booking with them and because they are not is flat out disgusting!!!! Quick to take your money but, telling me it's going to take 14 days to get my little 221.00 back from the hotel, crazy mess!!! And ridiculous.... Will never book with them again on any level, even if I'm dying please do not put me with these people, I really hate that I have to use them just to recoup $45.00 they charged me to cancel hotel, they said they would credit that to next booking, "Don't want to do that but, want my money" and hate that my next flight is a credit, "Don't want to do that either!" but, want my money back!!!!

    On Feb 15, 2020, I booked a flight ticket from Dallas to Bengaluru scheduled to depart on May 12, 2020. Due to the complete shutdown of India during the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, I thought of canceling/rescheduling it. Since March 22, 2020 I have been trying to reach CheapOair everyday - it’ll show I am in a long line, after 45-50 mins of waiting it will get disconnected saying - “Try to reconnect”.

    I requested to cancel my ticket using www.cheapoair.com/coronavirus and received a reply saying the customer care was busy and would contact me ASAP. However, I still haven’t heard from them (it’s been 18 days - at the time of writing!!!) Unbelievably pathetic company!! Luckily I contacted the airlines directly today and I got a refund voucher within 4 minutes in an email. I have deleted cheapOair app from my Phone and I have also blocked www.cheapoair.com and it’s promotional email id. I would NEVER AGAIN visit their portal. No sane person would.

    We booked a trip to Vegas last year with trip insurance. Just like everyone else the corona virus canceled our plans. The hotel is closed, even if we drove there we couldn't get in. They kept our money and charged us a cancelation fee. I will never use their services again.

    Never book with CheapOair. They are charging a lot of fees. Not like other travel agencies that you can easily rebook your flight and/or refund your money esp. now that there's pandemic outbreak. It is very hard to get in touch with their customer service. When you call, it doesn't even ring. I recommend expedia. Expedia is way way way better. They are good with their customers.     We booked our tickets to Hawaii in May of 2019 to travel April 8, 2020. Our flight was cancelled by the airline due to the Covid-19 pandemic. When I was finally able to get through to Abraham (with his kids screaming in the background) with Cheapoair he tried to tell me to rebook for December 2020 it was going to be an additional $2,000 stating tickets are more during this time because of Christmas. I told him that is not possible. I had the Hawaiian airline and cheapoair site up and traveling during December was actually cheaper than what we originally paid for our tickets.

    He insisted I would have to pay an additional $2,000 on top of our credit. I was so frustrated not only dealing with having to cancel my wedding but now having someone try and steal my money during a hard time. I called Hawaiian airlines. It took about 20 minutes to reschedule my flights with absolutely no additional charges. Cheapoair ended up charging us an additional $70 even though we did not make changes through them. We will never ever use cheapoair again!

    Having a really hard time with CheapOair. I received an email saying that my trip has changed its itinerary, I called American Airlines and they said that if I could not accept the date and that I was exempt from fees. I requested a new date, with a lower value than the original and American Airlines said that I would not need to pay anything but that I should request this change confirmation with CheapOair. I contacted CheapOAir and even though I had travel insurance, with the new date was less expensive and is exempt from tax by American Airlines, CheapOAir decided to charge us about US$300 to reschedule the tickets. I asked why and he said it was CheapOAir fees.

    That is it. In the middle of the greatest pandemic of our generation, with all companies exempting us from fees, CheapOAir tries to profit in the midst of our despair, even if you have travel insurance. When I asked why they are trying to profit from a pandemic instead of just rescheduling a trip that already was exempt by American Airlines and paid (more expensive) for me, they just hung up on me. My recommendation is that you avoid this company at all costs.

    For the first time, (LAST TIME) I used this company, due to Covid19 our cruise was canceled. Booked 1/27/19. Canceled 4/1/20. Hotel offered total refund, cruise line offered full refund or better, Airline offered full refund. Pretty sure all the refunds come by way of CheapOair company? Except Cruise. No refunds received as of yet. As a matter of fact CHEEP-O AIR charged an extra $70.00 for a cancelation fee that is already on my credit card before any refunds???     THIEVES...I booked a roundtrip ticket through CheapOair, and due to Covid-19, my flight was cancelled. They've refunded less than 1/3 of my money and keep trying to offer useless travel credit for a cancelled flight. I've now spent over 5 hours on the phone, 3.5 hours on an online chat, days waiting on promised callbacks that never came, and reached out via Instagram/Twitter to get my refund. Despite US government regulations that all passengers that request refunds for cancelled flights be given refunds, CheapOair continues to deny me a refund. I have used this company for about 8 years now but will NEVER use them again and strongly recommend that everyone avoid them.

    Funny thing is, my friend (who is on the same flight, same price, booked at the same time through CheapOair) was able to get a refund yesterday. However, today they tell me it is impossible and I should just accept a credit, which is clearly illegal. Maybe just refer me to whatever magical agent processed her refund and I could be done with this utter incompetence.

    CheapOair is taking advantage of people struggling due to Covid-19 and is trying to deflect responsibility by hanging up on paying customers and flat out refusing help. All I want is my refund but they continue to refuse me (and others) even with a cancelled flight. No thanks, CheapOair! Your agent wrote “I will not let you lose your money,” so you better make good on your promise or this matter will be escalated to credit card chargebacks, a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and a report to the US Department of Transportation, which promises to prosecute companies failing to give out refunds.     Our flights were disrupted by the Corona virus outbreak. We originally booked our flights with CheapOair on the 4th January and when we realized we would have to change the dates of our flights or cancel. We contacted them to change our flights. We requested that the amount be credited to our account because we did not know when the pandemic would pass. Although the information given on the airlines website said we could do this we were not given this option by Cheapoair even though we requested it. In the end we had to rebook our flights for an arbitrary date not knowing when the pandemic pass.

    We choose the 14th April and a day later we were informed that the Colombian government had closed all international flights into and out off Colombia for a month and we could not fly out on the 14th. I was also informed by the call centre operative that the difference in flight costs was 500 CAD which I had to pay. However the charge on the booking confirmation states the costs were Exchange Charges and Fees which included but was not exclusively difference in the cost of flights.

    After the flight ban in Colombia came into force we were sent a schedule change notification by Cheapoair and then later another email where they asked us to send in our flight cancellation request (even though all flights were cancelled by the airplane companies after the flight ban). Cheapoair then charged us $200 CAD for the flight cancellation request that we had to fill out in order to get a refund or credit. So far we have been charge $700 CAD by Cheapoair for flights that we have not been able to use and that originally cost us 2197 CAD. It is very likely if we do not receive a refund for the cost of the flights we will not be able to use the flight credits in the time required by the airline and are unlikely to fly with Avianca Air in the near future. All in all we have had a very bad experience with Cheapoair and I would not recommend them to another traveler.

    Entire coronavirus response is a disaster. I waited to cancel my car booking because their website requested you only call if within 72 hours of travel. So I waited, and then they updated their page to say they were no longer taking calls. I then tried to cancel a car booking by submitting a form on their coronavirus page. They left me a voicemail and an email and directed me to contact them by phone - that call was met with an automated "We're not monitoring the phones." I tried to respond to their email and got a "We're not monitoring emails." Everything directs to their coronavirus page, which only addresses flights - not cars or anything else they offer!

    I get that it's a tough time for the industry, but I have had to work with several different travel companies to cancel bookings in the last few weeks and CheapOair has been by far the worst. There's no reason why they shouldn't have employees monitoring emails and calls, unless they're on their way to bankruptcy and pocketing every $ they can along the way. (Which I'm guessing they are.)

    Updated on 07/23/2020: Since April of this year I have been engaged in a battle with CheapOair regarding a refund. One minute they say it's pending, the next I'm denied, and charged with a random fee for no reason. This is hands down the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with in my whole life. Ask about the surprise fee? Get no response. They say they will call? They don't. I make a call to talk to a representative and what happens? I get hung up on when the call is connected. I send an email out to ask questions regarding refunds, get a return email saying they are not accepting emails at this time. Signed up for ticket insurance to cover this trip, does it work in any way to assist a refund? No way.

    This company is a disgrace. Because of their inability to offer any sort of refund, or basic customer support, I will never utilize this company ever again. PLEASE do not use this company as a source travel plans. I will say this, if there is ever a class action lawsuit against them, I will for sure be a part of it. Use anyone else BUT CheapOair.

    I had a flight, hotel, and car booked through Cheapo Air. My flight was scheduled for April 2nd. I began trying to change the flight the 2nd week of March. I've used them before and not had trouble. But with the COVID-19 issue, I tried for days and days to get through and change my flight. Finally they offered a quick way through their website to ask for cancellation or future reschedule of flight etc., so I asked for a later flight. They outright cancelled my flight, which I did not want, and then kept the money. When I tried to go through their service to at least try and preserve the car and hotel, there was no way to contact them and explain the problem or request reschedulement. I had booked the flight in November of 2019, so it was of long standing. I got ripped off for the entire amount! I will never use them again.
