Maybe I should have called 6 nights and seven days (the time it took to get a call and have resolution). At 11:31 am (central) on 10/4 I booked a vacation to Cancun thru Apple Vacations and paid a $208 premium for room upgrades ($104 per room) to Preferred Club Premium King Ocean Front and Preferred Club Premium Double Ocean Front (1 King room and 1 double room - as I am traveling with adult children who won’t share a bed). Upon receiving a copy of the itinerary at 12:50 pm (central) on 10/4 I noticed there were no balconies for those ocean front rooms.

At 1:15 pm (central) on 10/4 I called the 800 number and spoke with Samiksha Singh for 27 minutes and 55 seconds. In summary, I was told that there were no Preferred Club versions of those rooms with balconies available during my stay however there was Premium King Balcony Ocean Front (losing the Preferred Club but gaining a balcony). I requested to change out the King reservation for the king with the balcony. It was becoming apparent that the language barrier from the international call center could lead to mistakes - so I was very specific that it was just the king bedroom that was getting swapped out.

I was charged an additional $27.40 to downgrade my room to one that would have carried no additional premium at the time of reservation. I received the modified reservation at 2:02 pm (central) on 10/4 and noticed that both original rooms were changed and now my adult children were sharing a king bed and that the $216 premium I paid for the Preferred Club access was gone without refund, not including the $27.40 I was charged to downgrade.

I called the 800 number back at 2:08 pm (central) on 10/4 and spoke to Geetika who took 81 minutes frequently putting me on hold while she tried to resolve the issue. Her offer was to charge me an additional $120 to reverse previous reps mistake for 1 room. I told her that was wrong, I already paid the premium for both rooms and I asked for supervisor and she said one would have to call me back. I inquired about the time frame, she said 24 hours, since it was a Friday I asked if I should expect a call on a Saturday, she then said Monday. I then asked for an email, name of supervisor or other contact number and was told she didn't have one to offer.

No one has ever called me back. I did get an email from a review team, Beth M’s reply was largely dismissive and sided with the call center rep. Finally I contacted Apple Leisure Group (Apple Vacations parent) and their customer support line is just a voice mail. Left several messages over a week and no one ever calls back.

Oddly, while typing this I did get a call from Beth M. She, in essence, refunded the amount I was charged to downgrade and reversed the bed issue for my children. I forfeited the premium I paid for the original Preferred Club Premium King Ocean Front room. Not great but this won't be the vacation that went wrong cause my adult children had to share a bed.

Absolute nightmare. We weren't going with Apple by choice. My wife's parents had a travel credit with them, and invited us along to their next vacation. We agreed, and as a result, all the bookings needed to be done thru Apple. After confirming our information multiple times, Deborah ** still managed to mess up the information on our flights. She incorrectly put in not only my wife's birthday, but my wife's mother's birthday. We discovered this while checking in to our very much overbooked transatlantic flight.

I'll never understand why people use travel agencies... I've never had an issue like this when booking myself. Quite frankly, it's not worth the heartache. Even the packages they offered didn't really go beyond "boomer bus tours". Half of the job is filling out those forms correctly. The other half is cashing my very large checks. Couldn't even manage to do that correctly. Gave us the run-around when we tried calling to correct the info. What exactly is the point of paying their fees for 'service' if this is the service I get? No wonder they're struggling. It's very telling that they can only get the small-town boomer clientele. I can only hope that their actions will hasten the inevitable demise of this industry as a whole.

My all inclusive trip to Dreams Jade resort in Puerto Morales was great. Staff, food, service, transportation through Amstar were great. Shows were average. They will tell your room isn’t ready so they can sell you a timeshare for 2 hours so wear or carry your suit with you and head to the pool for food and drinks while you wait. Pretty sure we got a room as far away from everything because we didn’t play the game, but I can’t be sure that wasn’t part of the Apple Vacations' deal.

Be warned that this resort caters to kids. We just got lucky with school just starting in September. I may not book again because Frontier is a terrible airline. Their check in app didn’t work properly and on the return they wanted us to pay $25 each for a paper boarding pass. We argued and won, but what a hassle. Also didn’t know they would charge an additional $110 each to check a bag! Who flies without a bag! Once on our flight they gouge you another $13 for a cocktail. Bring your own snacks, they are outrageous too. We bought the insurance, but thankfully didn’t have to use it as I read the reviews of other customer nightmares. Read the fine print! I will look for other options next time.

On August 6th, I visited Applevacations.com to book a trip, just as I had done last year for an all-inclusive vacation. I specifically searched for an all-inclusive package to Curaçao, and among the options, the Coral Estate resort appeared, along with others. To clarify, "all-inclusive" to me—and to most travelers—means airfare, hotel, airport transportation, and all meals and beverages, including alcohol. This was exactly what I had booked last year. Based on this understanding, I booked the Coral Estate resort. I even recorded the booking process, showing how I selected the "all-inclusive" option and how Coral Estate appeared as part of that package.

However, when I arrived at the resort on August 16th, I was shocked to learn that it wasn't all-inclusive at all. The receptionist informed me that I would have to pay separately for every meal and beverage. I immediately contacted Apple Vacations to address this issue, only to be met with hostility, resistance, and no assistance whatsoever.

Apple Vacations falsely advertised this resort as all-inclusive on their website, and this error cost me significant additional expenses during my vacation. Even the resort's staff verified the mistake by checking Apple Vacations' website and seeing that their hotel was incorrectly listed as all-inclusive. I demand reimbursement for every food and beverage expense I incurred due to this misleading information. Furthermore, Apple Vacations owes me an apology not only for their error but also for the unprofessional way they handled my complaint, including hanging up on me when I sought help. I will never use Apple Vacations again. Don't waste your time or money on this scam.

Well paid for all adults, resort got to the beautiful resort the Rui Las Americas, went to check in, we were told we had to Leave. There was not a room for us. Meanwhile we watched several people check in, a guy paid cash. They tried to get us to sign a paper that we agreed to leave, we refused. After much crying they put us in a very shady taxi. We had no idea where they were taking us. They took us to the Rui Peninsula a dump that is family-friendly, we spent the first three days on the phone then were told to pack and go to the Palace. We didn't trust them so we got the front desk to call only to be told that we didn't have a room. We also paid extra for insurance, we need to be compensated for this horrible trip.

I booked a trip through Apple Vacations on 8/1/2024 and had to cancel it on 8/8/24 due to medical issues. The flight was scheduled for 8/17/24. The total price was about $5821. I was told on the phone that there will be NO refund at all. I asked the agent how is that possible? They will just take my money and run with it? The agent told me to provide a doctors note. So I sent them a doctor's note specifically stating by the doctor that I am not able to travel. I sent that to Apple Vacations. No response yet. In the meantime I checked their website to search for the reservation I cancelled and suddenly I see that they increased the price from $5821 to $11800 without any of my consent.

Now I don't know if this an error or not but it for sure Is adding to the anxiety this company is giving me right now in addition to the medical issues I am facing right now. I will probably take this company to court by the end of next week. Because I will not let a company just steal the money from us consumers and run away with. There was not even a service provided by this company. They just took the money and are now even increasing the price. This is a scam. I want to warm everyone to not deal with this company in the future.

I am writing this review because if my dissatisfaction with Apple Vacations. I have been traveling with Apple for over 25 plus years and the last two years have not been good. 1st off - last year we missed our flight to Cancun because the airport was packed. We got to our gate late. Called apple vacations because I have insurance. Submitted a claim for our airfare or a travel credit something. We got nothing so needless to say we have now saved close to 300 dollars because no more insurance and that was the 1st time we attempted to use the insurance even though we always purchase....

But for the situation that really got me with apple vacations is that I am traveling soon to the DR soon as a group of us. We all have separate double occupancy bookings except for me and my husband. Well here is the problem. How can one passenger call and cancel her roommate's booking when they booked separate times. Even though they are roommates paid with two different cards.

How is one roommate able to cancel the other roommate's booking and use the roommate's money to complete their booking and the roommate get a small refund back. How is that right or even ok to do!!!! Because of these last two years and these instances I don't think I will be booking thru Apple again and the worst with the latter situation Apple did nothing to make it right. The one roommate was told to sue the other to get her money back. Now how's that ok? Just disappointed in the way the situation was handled. 1st no one should be able to cancel another passenger's booking.

They increase the price of Frontier Airline tickets and receive a percentage of luggage costs for the flight. Hidden charges increase their profit on each passenger. Our flight to Cancun was cancelled by Frontier less than seven hours before departing. We had to find another airline to take us at an additional $ 2100 that day. Frontier paid Apple the money for the cancelled flight six weeks ago and Apple still has not given us the money back from this cancellation despite our constant inquiries. It’s virtually impossible to reach anyone by phone to address this issue. They used to be a reputable company, but that has dramatically changed. Stay away from Apple Vacations when planning your next trip. I wish someone from Apple would call us because we can’t find anyone to help us when we call them.

We booked a family vacation with Apple Vacations for 9 family members in January for June 8-15. On May 3 we received our first confirmation for our “Exclusive Apple Non Stop Flights”. Apple booked our flights with Frontier but didn’t inform us that there would be an additional cost for luggage. We thought it was an Apple charter flight. At $76 per piece of luggage one way it would have cost us almost $1,400 for each of our travelers to bring only one piece of luggage and the tickets were $430 each for the three hour flight from St. Louis.

After reviewing our January call, Apple agreed the customer service rep never told us about luggage fees and gave us free luggage. 8 hours before our departure flight we were notified in an email that our flight was canceled. I booked Southwest flights that added an additional $2,000 to our trip and got us there on the first day of our vacation. In Mexico I called Apple to ask the process for getting reimbursed for our flights and were told Frontier would credit Apple and Apple would credit us. I waited three weeks for the credit only to call in and discover I have to initiate a request for credit which is not what I was told when asking the process. Apple never contacted us to explain the process or acknowledge the cancellation.

I could have booked nonstop flights on Southwest with free luggage for less money than the Frontier flight and a lot more reliability but the agent led me to believe the flights were part of a package deal. At least the cruise ships give you the option to book your own flights or book through them. It takes almost two hours of waiting to talk to an “offshore” Apple agent and there is no separate phone number for post travel or any option when you call in for that department. We used Apple Vacation 13 years in a row in the early 2000’s and were impressed with the company but will never use them again. I felt underserved, unappreciated and neglected after spending more than $20,000 with this company. So disappointed.

Thankfully, we paid the extra $200 towards insurance in case of something exactly like that happening, So I thought. Upon arriving to the airport, AA told me my reservations were Main Cabin and not business. They could not do anything to the reservations and was told to reach out to Apple Vacations. I called Apple vacations and was told by the the rep that was due to systems error they had and was willing to reimburse me $400 per ticket. I requested a supervisor to speak with. A supervisor called me after 40 minutes to tell me it was a chance in reservation by the airlines that caused this fiasco and denied that it was systems error even though my itinerary clearly shows flagship business class. She offered me $600. I demanded a compensation for a full compensation for two inbound legs but she refused.

Bottom line, they fully deserve the poor reviews they have. This is a non trustworthy company with deceptive tactics. Although I did make reservations with them before but never again. I live in the Ohio Valley area and will make sure all the local residents of the practices of this shady company. Unfortunately, for me this is coming late and lost on this transaction. To make a very long story somewhat short, Apple did not honor the trip insurance I purchased through them. After hours on the phone, I was able to secure a refund for my hotel and transfers. I was told I would receive airline credits; however, Apple never canceled my flights, and therefore, the credits were never issued. To get anything rectified, you will spend hours on the phone with very little help. I would NEVER book a trip through them again. The rest of my family were able to travel and said it was a nice experience, but I will never book through them again.

The representative told me I should cancel the vacation and take travel credit and go another time. I even asked about changing him out to my sister and was told I should cancel and take the travel credit because it would be costly to change a person. I did what the representative told me to do and then Apple Vacations refused to give me travel credit. I told them I did what their agent told me to do and they still refused travel credit. Also once arriving in Mexico, our hotel, which looked very nice had been conveniently changed to a different hotel. Food was not good. Subpar vacations is a terrible company. Don’t use them.

I bought a $6,000+ all inclusive vacation to Cancun, Mexico. Air fare from Denver, CO was included. The airline I was put on was Frontier. I did ask the sales rep what the cost would be for baggage, and I was told to check with the airline, because he didn't know, and he explained to me he did not work for the airlines. I did buy the trip, and thankfully, I purchased trip cancellation. When I contacted Frontier Airlines, I was told that the roundtrip charge for 1 checked bag, and a carry-on for both me and my wife was $515.00. I decided to invoke the trip cancellation, which cost me around $456. This was the only charge that would not be refunded to me.

The reason why I will never again use Apple Vacations is because their sales representatives don't know, and don't care to know the add on charges to their customers from the airlines Apple chooses for the trips Apple sells. It is my view that it is Apple's responsibility to inform their customers of the additional charges their customers will face from the airlines.

Do not, under any circumstances spend your money with this company. I called to book with one of their agents as I had a specific need that I wanted to make sure was covered. I was traveling with my family of 5 and my 2 elderly parents with health issues. They needed a double bed. The resort had 2 levels, with the preferred club offering access to more restaurants, pools, etc. As we were traveling together, I wanted to make sure we could ALL access the same things and stated the same to the agent. The booking with the family of 5 was booked in a Preferred Club room and the other was booked in a regular room (only room available at the time with double beds). The agent called the hotel and assured me they could upgrade to Preferred Club at the hotel. But I should book now to lock in the rates...

Next day, called because I never heard back on what the add'l charges would be... no answer after 1 hour and 15 minutes on hold and an email that said she would call me (she didn't). Next day, finally talked to someone after an hour on hold. That agent said the hotel cannot guarantee an upgrade. I said I want to cancel the reservation. I would have never booked this. She told me I could upgrade (with extra $) to a king bed Preferred Club. I reiterated that they cannot have that. She said that was the only option. Or to wait and hope. I said I want to cancel. She said that would be subject to the trip insurance cost and I would get the return in travel credit for another trip with Apple. I said I want to speak to a supervisor. Nope.

Next day, I get a call from a supervisor. That person knows nothing of previous conversation and tells me he can help by offering an upgrade to Preferred Club King Room for $$. Again, I said I cannot do that. He called hotel. Got the same answer... no option for double room and preferred. He said I could switch to a different date or hotel (not convenient because Spring Break trip) so I said I will need to talk to the family. I get a random call later from another "supervisor" from an Indian call center. I try to call back to the call center to move the date. Number from supervisor doesn't work. So I call the Apple number. They tell me I can't without using the travel insurance AND paying thousands of additional dollars to move the date (A DATE I DIDN'T WANT TO BEGIN WITH!!!).

I said I want to speak to the supervisor I talked to before. "There is no record of that." What about the 2nd one? "There is no record of that. To be honest, I am questioning if the person you talked to was really a supervisor." Now they say they need to listen to the call to prove that she told me that. Will take "a few" days. Meanwhile the prices are increasing and flights are booking up, making the travel worse and worse for us and we are stuck with Apple. I call again to say can you please freeze the prices at least as they are right now? No. In fact, the agent hung up on me because there was nothing she could do for me. They will not stand behind what their agents did or help you. They make YOU pay for THEIR mistakes. I am talking thousands and thousands of dollars. And we went from direct flights at normal times during our kids' Spring Break to now having to layover for hours, take the kids out of school AND pay more. This is crazy.

NOTE that other, equally nice, resorts and other dates were available at the time of booking and even in the first couple days of this. BUT BECAUSE OF THEIR SLOW "CUSTOMER SERVICE" PROCESSING, and terrible policies, we had to eat THEIR mistakes. Unreal. I should also note that I have never called without being on hold for at least 30 minutes, with the exception of the original booking. Buyer BEWARE!!!!

After I finished the booking I realized I never added it anywhere on my confirmation papers. When I called back right away the lady I spoke to said I needed to call back at a later time. I emailed the company as well. The next day I received an email saying that I could add that on by going onto the website but I didn’t see anything on the website so I called. I was told the price would be 279 a person instead of 230. When I questioned the man he looked into it and then said I’m not able to add it on since the trip was paid in full. I was never told there was a time limit.

After two phone calls I got the information that I had up to one day from booking or one day from paying in full to add this on. I did this but was told to call back. Nice service. This particular man also told me that insurance is only for **. Just because I am ** I have no rights if something comes up and I need to cancel? My husband and I both have elderly parents.

Another issue is nowhere on the website did they state the fees were in American money. I’m departing from Toronto and had in my mind Canadian funds. My mistake; however; this should be clearly stated with the price per person for hotel and flights. I have purchased a vacation package from this company before and it was booked with an agent. I’m obviously not an agent knowing the ins and outs of the websites. Not a user friendly website or a company who cares for their customers. Very disappointing. Do not book through this company.

In August 2023 I reached out to Apple Vacations to add my cousin to our trip. I called and spoke with an agent and had her added and had my credit card charged on the call for her airfare and her room at the Riu Montego Bay resort. When we arrived they had no record for her room reservation at all. I was forced to pay for her to stay in my room for an additional $880.00.

After many attempts to contact Apple Vacations to recoup the room charges they had no problem charging me for, I have yet to hear back from them AT ALL! They booked the airfare and never booked a room for her? HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN???? Apple Vacations also has yet to respond to any of my inquiries to even begin discussing this issue as well as a refund of money they took from me when I initially booked her trip. I will never do business with this organization again!!! I would look elsewhere rather than do business with such a shady organization that has no issue ripping customers off and never even acknowledging them once it is all said and done!!!! I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!

Booking with Apple went fine - online, no problems. However, our flight was canceled and we had to reschedule for the day before. We had to call Delta separately but got it taken care of easily. Then, we called Apple to add another day to our reservation. After 2 hours on hold, it was determined that the hotel was full and that was all they could do. I called again, and this time it was over 3 hours, but they called the hotel and got a room for the extra night. They said to pay the difference at the hotel. Next day, the new itinerary is sent out with no extra night added on, and a week later, we got a notice that we weren't paid in full and our trip would be canceled if we didn't pay, so we did.

Finally, our trip. No one was there to pick us up from the airport; apple had never changed the day (I requested it!). They initially couldn't find us because our name was input incorrectly (last name first). Then the hotel requested payment for the additional room. We had to call apple at check-in, but they could not verify our second payment so we had to pay the hotel again. Now we are trying to get a refund but I am doubtful. The hotel itself was wonderful, and very accommodating, but Apple Vacations provided more stress and chaos than I've ever experienced in my life. I was actually dreading this trip to paradise because of them! I intend to report them as fraudulent if they do not refund us the extra payment.

I am sad to say, I used Apple many times in the past before they were bought out a year ago, but will NEVER use them again. This last trip all traveling parties purchased travel protection, like we always do, but when one of the parties couldn't travel due to a death in the family, I spent endless weeks and hours on the phone and emailing the company to get a travel credit. Then when they finally issued the credit they had shorted me almost $1500. After months of dealing with this issue with no resolve and employees that can only answer phones not help resolve anything, I have given up.

No one can ever give me a straight answer and they make it impossible for you to resolve any issue. Now, I go and try to book a short trip to at least use my other $1500 they are telling me it's even less than it was before. This company lies, steals, scams and treats its customers like trash. At this point I will be out almost $3000 but will not give them another dime! Never ever use APPLE VACATIONS!!

Due to a weather situation our flight was canceled. Booked for the following day. Of course I contacted Apple to see what we could do about the lost day and do a day shift. Contacting Apple Vacations is the most stressful dissatisfying experience. Representatives all tell you something different. After spending almost the entire day on the phone all I got was a lot of different answers from different representatives. Hold times are over an hour only to be disconnected at times. Every time I spoke to representative, they said that they took care of it, or it was being handled and they would be emailing me and the hotel. In the end, nothing was taken care of by Apple Vacations. Arriving at our hotel Apple representative was supposed to do a date shift due to the delay a flight due to weather.

The hotel had no idea what we were talking about and no email has been sent or call to the hotel, consequently we lost a day of vacation and almost lost the second day when they locked us out of our room due to the confusion of the extended day. Hotel promptly fixed it for us or we would’ve had nowhere to stay that evening. Not because they spoke to our Apple representative just because they listen to our situation. It was one of the worst vacations I have ever taken. The destination was beautiful and we enjoyed that, but our vacation was cut short and the stress at this point I feel wasn’t worth it. I do not recommend a Apple Vacations. I have dealt with them in years past and they were excellent but their customer service now is horrendous.

Apple responded to my concerns, however I am still not sure if it will or will not be resolved in a timely manner. Discussion has been moved to private email/responses.

    Original Review: Aug. 8, 2023

Let me start by saying I have booked vacations, sometimes twice per year thru Apple for almost 30 years. Up until recently, I had relatively great experiences, but no longer. Just last week I attempted to book a trip to Punta Cana, 4 people/2 rooms for next July 2024. The airline is a Charter, Allegiant, using travel credit from a canceled trip from this year. Tried booking online because the wait to talk to a rep was always 2+ hours. I completed the trip, added traveler info, was able to locate the credits, but it would not permit me to add my credit card for final payment. Told me initially the system was having an issue, but then my credit card was invalid. This went on for 2 full days.

I finally called on Aug. 2 and only waited for the first rep an hour. She apparently was in a call center, SOMEWHERE, and all you could hear was many others talking in the background. She was hard to understand and could not understand me, she had me spell everything. After 1.5 hours on the phone, she put me on hold for 4-6 minutes, 3 or 4 times, she finally came back and said, "I can't understand you", and hung up. I recalled and after another 1+ hour wait, I got a very nice lady that completed my booking using the save itinerary I had in 10 minutes. However, I was told I could not book my seats until the reservation was created at Allegiant, 3-4 days.

Fast forward, I reached out via Apple chat. The fun began, we spent over 1.5 hours going back and forth and he told me I needed a ticket number to upgrade my seats, but I had to call Allegiant, which I did. Allegiant said all changes needed to be done thru Apple. Contacted Apple Chat again on Aug. 7, he told me no ticket would be generated and I could upgrade my seats now, but had to call. Again, it took me over 1 hour on this chat. Today, I just spent 1.5 hours on a call with the rep and she told me I could not upgrade my seats until 3 days prior to departure. That is not true!!!! I have all my itineraries from previous years and my seats were assigned on the day of booking.

In short, I talked to 5 people over the course of 7 days and received 5 different pieces of info, all different. Apple no longer has trained reps to assist you and you cannot rely on them for a good direction or even booking your trip correctly. I could give you horror stories about things the trained reps booked incorrectly in other trips, but I will refrain. Also, the Apple reps at your resort, are non-existent. If they cannot upsell you anything, they will literally ignore you and not help with any issues that were the result of an incorrect booking.

I still feel my booking for July 2024 is incorrect, but I have been assured it is not. I have heard that story before and I will have a nightmare next July when it hits the fan, in Punta Cana! I've been down this route before! After next July's trip, I will not be using Apple any longer. You can book much easier with any of the other travel sites and pay for what you want a la carte.

Just as an FYI, the $800 travel credits they want to give you is a sham. When you get to the resorts, they give you coupons. You cannot use this credit for anything, only what they want you to use them on. But all product costs are higher. i.e. have to spent $100 in a gift shop to use the $50 credit they give, etc., etc. Spa services are extremely overpriced. The same message I get at home for $80.00 is $200.00 on the resort and the coupon is for $50.00. Get your message before or after your trip. Safe travels!

I booked a vacation with a group. One of my travelers was not able to travel. I called United who told me since I booked a package with Apple then they would have to cancel and issue flight credit. I called Apple after being transferred several times and was supposedly issued flight credit for the United flight, I was even given a cancellation confirmation # for the flight and baggage fees. Now I am trying to use the credit but no one at Apple can seem to find the flight credit even though United shows it on their end, they said I would have to go thru Apple to use the credit. After at least 6 phone calls with me being transferred multiple times and given the run around I was told that I don't have flight credit to use. So basically I paid them for a flight that they issued a credit and confirmation # for but now have no record of that. I am furious and will never book with them again or recommend them. They offered no resolution or any type of compensation.

Booked a vacation for the family to Cancun for the first time since all the COVID silliness. We had to move to dates only due to a death in the family. I purchased the travel protection and we had to use it to move the date. Purchased it again. The dates for the rescheduled trip approached and we had to sub in another family member for a child who was double booked. Still taking the same number of folks, just a different name. A week prior to the vacation, everything went sideways. Apple sends an itinerary without the correct names on it for air and hotel. I contact them and get through their broken English speaking representatives to try and get the correct list of names. Nothing. I call once a day asking to get a corrected list. The wrong names are still attached.

The day prior to travel I call in again and ask to speak to someone higher up… a decision maker. I spend 6 hours (no kidding) on hold and I am assured 100% the issue is fixed. That hold music still haunts me. We show up to the airport and Frontier airlines (another odyssey in travel… not in a good way) can do nothing about the fact that only 5 are listed on the reservation. They are rude too. I’m in the travel industry and at no point didn’t anyone take control of this matter on our behalf while representing Apple to fix it. Apple finally told me to just buy a ticket for the 6th person and they’ll pay me back. A lie. I do buy the ticket and basically double pay.

We get down to Cancun and check in… or try to. Another 2 hour wait while the hotel tried to figure out how to check in the 6th person who wasn’t on the reservation. So Apple messed up the air, the hotel… oh and they double booked our private transport from the airport to the hotel on arrival and didn’t book one for our return. So basically, Apple messed up everything. 100%. We had to basically tell the hotel to figure it out with Apple and started our vacations stressed and frustrated.

When we got home, I was told that Apple doesn’t really reimburse for mistakes, I would need to file a travel claim with our travel protection. What a scam. So I file the claim and attach all required documentation. Ghosted… never heard a thing back. Being in the business for over 30 years I’ve seen good and bad players. Apple is one of l, if not THE worst travel vendor I’ve ever experienced. At no time do they actually control the quality of your travel experience… unless they are taking your money. The travel protection is a scam. You get no value out of it and if you want to hear horror stories of in trip experiences, simply ask Frontier employees about all the bad situations Apple places customers. Never again! No way.

After an hour on hold with a "REP" who kept on saying that no Delta flights were available when I was asking over a year in advance!! I asked him repeatedly if it was too far out in advance and perhaps that was why it was not showing up at all, and he completely just dodged the question. Turns out I was completely right.

He "finally" found a flight available in March and after I spent the first 15 minutes saying I did NOT WANT to pay any more out of pocket, he quoted me $500 to change. LOL! I went home and found flights, and a BETTER HOTEL FOR $100 CHEAPER! $1508.00 with a PROMO CODE! Shady people, all they want to do is UPCHARGE YOU, and not help you so you wind up throwing away good money. Do your own research at home, first and then call them for it to be switched. I booked a trip for my husband and myself through Apple Vacations, whom I have used many times before. The day of travel I received an email from Frontier stating that the flight was delayed 2 hours. I knew we would miss our connecting flight so I called Apple. They told me to go to the airport and talk to Frontier since there is no number to call. When I arrived at the airport then I found out the flight was delayed even longer. I spoke to the agent at the baggage area who looked up flight information as well as I myself did and found out that we would miss our connecting flight in Atlanta. He told me to fly to Atlanta and it would become their problem to figure out. He also said it looked like I would have to fly from Phoenix to Atlanta-Atlanta would probably have to fly me to Orlando then fly to Montego Bay arriving on the 17th. That plan was obviously ridiculous so I called Apple again and they said the best option would be to cancel all together.

He told me that the flight would be fully refunded and would contact the resort the next day to find out if that would be refunded. I went home. I called Apple the next day to find out if the resort was going to be refunded and they said no, only the flight. I asked to speak to a manager to find out options. He told me he would suggest that I book another flight to Jamaica since the previous flight was refunded and would be back in my account within 25 business days. He was the 3rd Apple representative to tell me that the flight was going to be FULLY REFUNDED, so I booked another flight-not through Apple-to Jamaica.

I booked with Frontier again since it was the cheapest last minute. I asked Apple is Frontier was refunding my baggage and they told me to reach out to Frontier. Frontier told me that the flight was non-refundable and didn't acknowledge the baggage fees. Since then I have emailed, called, and gone back and forth with Frontier and Apple trying to get my flight and baggage refunded. Apple tells me to contact Frontier and Frontier tells me to contact Apple. And now no one is even responding at all. Apple tells you lies then ignores you.

Beachbound Vacations a division of Apple absolutely ruined our vacation and refuses to reimburse us for their mistake. My wife and I booked a vacation thru them to Cozumel, Mexico for April 2nd -8th 2023. When we arrived at the airport on the 2nd we were told that our flight on United Airlines had been cancelled and we wouldn’t be able to be rebooked until the next day. After further discussion with the agent she told us that United had notified our 3rd party agent (Beachbound) at 9:07p.m the previous night. Beachbound never called or texted us!

After calling Beachbound upon getting back home they stated they had emailed us. This email never came through, even though all other email’s from them had. While on the phone with them we verified our email address and told them to resend the email while we waited on the line. Again, the email never came through! We also stated we wanted a refund for the lost night at the resort approximately $425.00 US. The agent stated he would contact the resort. Why in the world would the resort refund? They had the room ready and it was still ready when we got there! They didn’t drop the ball,! United Airlines and Beachbound did!!

Wouldn’t a last minute cancelled flight merit a phone call? At the very least a text? If you have to be at the airport at 5a.m who’s looking at their email at 9:07 p.m at night? Most people are in bed for the 3:30 am alarm to get to airport! Not that it would have mattered anyway because that email has yet to come thru after supposedly being sent twice now!! Had they called we would have been able to leave early enough to make the 6hr drive to the connecting flight and still salvaged our vacation. Instead we lost the entire day of vacation and an already paid night at the resort.

At this point we figured Beachbound would at least reimburse us the paid night at resort, (Any reputable company would right?) and finished what was left of our vacation. I called them when we returned home, this time being transferred to the Post Travel Dept and they again stated they were going to contact the resort and try to get us refunded. I ask AGAIN why in the world would the resort refund? They’re the only innocent party in this whole fiasco! Wouldn’t a normal person contact United Airlines? They’re the ones that cancelled the flight due to “technical difficulties”!

Amazingly, this email managed to come through the next morning: “We appreciate the opportunity and time to address your concerns for your Hotel Issue. Our goal is to provide every client the best vacation experience. We’ve completed our investigation into your complaint, and this is to inform you that we have not received approval to offer compensation. The Hotel partner told us that they will not be able to waive the penalty as travel was in their high season. The Hotel will charge for complete 6 nights.

We sincerely apologize and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to serve you again in the future, so that we may have the opportunity to provide a much more positive travel experience. Regards and Happy Future Travels,” At NO POINT was this a hotel issue, the hotel did nothing wrong. What is wrong with you people Beachbound? This was a United Airlines & Beachbound Issue! This fight will continue, but take this as a warning! DON’T BOOK with BEACHBOUND unless you want your vacation ruined!!

NEVER EVER book your vacation through Apple. You’d be better off booking it all by yourself considering the amount of help they offer which is ZERO. My friends and I booked a group trip to Mexico for our friend’s wedding and we had an absolute nightmare experience with this travel agency. Our flights were cancelled and moved around due to bad weather in our connecting city and Apple vacations was completely USELESS in the rebooking process. We had to do everything ourselves. We had to pay for our own hotel rooms when our flight got cancelled. We had to pay additional money for a shuttle, ferry, and taxi when we had to fly into mainland Cancun instead of the island Cozumel. And we had to organize it all ourselves.

Our vacation, once we finally got there after 30 hours of travel, was not even relaxing because we were on the phone CONSTANTLY trying to get apple to refund us for the days of our trip we missed, all the extra transportation, and get them to extend our trip an extra day to make up for the days missed. No help whatsoever. We had to do everything ourselves. The resort, airlines, and transport services said they couldn’t help us with anything because we booked through Apple and Apple had to make changes. But when we tried to talk to Apple they never answered half the time because they are open BANKING HOURS 9-5 WEEKDAYS??? When MOST people travel on the weekends! Ridiculous! When we finally got a hold of them they told us they couldn’t do anything and we had to contact the hotels, airlines, etc. Individually. It was back and forth like this for three days.

By the time our vacation was almost over we finally got our trip extended NO thanks to Apple AT ALL. We did everything ourselves. And now we still have to file a bunch of insurance claims to try to get our money back from all the cancelled flights and extra transport costs to get there. I will NEVER use Apple Vacations to book my trip again. It was the worst travel experience I’ve ever had in my life. To think all this could have been avoided if they would have let us reschedule our flight in advance when we saw the weather coming. But that was on a Sunday and they aren’t open on the weekends! Every time we tried to call about a new flight they would be closed and wouldn’t open until 9 the next business day! That’s when our new flight left!!!

I just can’t believe a company who claims to be a travel agency would be this utterly useless at organizing vacations and would be closed in the evenings and on the weekends! It makes me furious. And thanks to their total lack of involvement in the vacation that THEY got a percentage of for our booking, we had to rearrange EVERYTHING ourselves while we were trying to relax on the beach that we paid $3000+ for!! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER EVER EVER! I will happily post this review on any site that allows me. No one deserves to have their vacation ruined the way we did!!

They said we didn’t fit the timeline, even though we did. They would not produce any proof that we were told differently, only stated we were told 2 years from the original booking. The agent told us wrong and Apple told us wrong.

They stole our hard earned money and refused to apply it to future travel with them. It seems they didn’t care about the safety of travelers during a pandemic and found a way to steal 1k of our money that we were trying to use. Apple cares about 1 thing; profits. Do not use Apple as they will hurt you and your family's pocket boom for their own profits.

Back in October, I contacted Apple Vacation via email regarding a Vacation that I preferred to book with an agent (not online). Immediately after, I got an email confirming my email was received and would be answered in couple of days. Did not happen. Next; I called and spoke with Morgan, who promised to send the reservation for our preferred hotel and flights via email by next day, I let him work on it several more days, then had to call back, without receiving an explanation, rather giving him another chance (in the meantime we lost our preferred hotel and preferred dates).

Neither booking, nor a call, not even an email followed. Finally, after losing two other preferred resorts and dates, I booked a family vacation online for 7 nights/8 pax. On 12/29 our Frontier flight was delayed (after our check-in and paid luggage), soon after cancelled 'due to the maintenance. I spent total of 3 hours waiting a call at the airport and over an hour at home, got a first next available Frontier flight 3 days after the original (with additional payment of $224per pax), after planned New Year in Dominican Republic, to 'catch' the leftover of our family vacation - instead of 7, now 4 nights.

Again Ms. ** promised a callback/email...did not happen. To make sure our hotel has a time to organize our transfer on a different day and to inform them of the 'new arrival' dates I called the hotel in Dominican Rep. directly (also sent a 'reminder' to do so to Apple via email). After all experienced and after reading the most recent reviews regarding same/similar matters, we are disappointed. We have yet to employ our Travel Protection Plus plan, which, seemingly, presents another question mark itself. We used to book for many years our vacations via AppleVacations, including Frontier's non-stop flights. We never ever experienced any issue and we were glad to 'award' them with highest reviews.

Not responding to customers' request, letting customers lose their preferred, initially available destinations and flights (and charging extra for a new due to a canceled flight), is an act of neglect which has no place in any business, especially not in an travel agency which was able of keeping highest ratings for decades and a name you wanted to link your next trip to. Customers should never suffer due to any organizational/structural changes and challenges or/and lack of or responsible, trustworthy staff/agents.

They are the worst company ever right behind frontier airlines. I hope no one uses them again so that their vacation is not ruined. I have emails to back it up that I should be getting a credit within seven days but three people I have spoken to said I never should have gotten that email. I have proof of everything that was said to me and still it is doing no good.

After I let my frustration settle down, we were able to get someone on the phone who was able to help resolve most issues. Disappointed still but we are still getting our vacation. Just not to the original resort we planned on. But Apple did pull through with the help of Cher. She was awesome considering I was pretty upset. She never got flustered and remained calm even when I got loud a few times.

    Original Review: Dec. 26, 2022

Here it is travel day and not one person will answer the phone now that the airline screwed us on getting to our destination. This trip was a surprise for my kids for Christmas and here we are back at home and not one person from Apple will answer calls or return emails. Held for over 2 hours and finally hung up. Chat function is a bunch of foreigners who can’t do anything but say call this number or email this address. So as I’m trying to get a resolution done as my kids cry as we leave the airport,Apple Vacations is no where to be found. Never again will I make the mistake of going through this company. I’ll pay double to not be treated this way on travel day with issues. Sorry kids. Punta Cana wasn’t meant to be I guess.

My decision to book with Apple and the location Iberostar Costa Dorada was predicated by the fact that the resort offered a gourmet restaurant, Brazilian Steak House. Upon arrival we were informed that the Steak house had been replaced with a Japanese restaurant over 5 years ago. Some Maps given on check-in, still show the Brazilian Steakhouse along with a huge plastic blow up of the map in the lobby right next to check in.

I went on their website and filed a complaint and was immediately notified someone would contact me. Upon check out 3 days later and after complaining to the agent she had someone come to speak with me. Her reason for not contacting me was they had me staying in a different room and didn’t get any answer. I suggested they use email as they did in response to the complaint or they could have checked all restaurant reservations and reach me through them. Needless to say, nothing resolved at the resort. Yesterday I spent 40 minutes on the phone trying to reach a manager and also my booking agent. Messages were left and still no return calls. Apple's website still falsely markets this resort with the Brazilian Steakhouse.

I immediately called to report the issue and get it corrected and I was told that it was an issue and would be corrected. But when I followed up because it was never updated!! I was told there was nothing they could do (even though their site is incorrect, and I showed them screenshots and videos). The rep said that I could “Upgrade” to a Diamond Club Room for an additional charge even though are advertising the room I selected as Diamond Club accommodations! Please note their website is still advertising this deal! Also, I have written several emails to customer service, and they have yet to respond or make my situation whole!! Seems like they post great deals but do not honor them, you just get baited and switched instead. Trip with family to Puerto Vallarta to stay at all inclusive Sheraton Bougainvilias. Followed the online booking prompts for all inclusive. Wife standing behind me watching. Booked completely online in September for a trip November 19-24. Everything went smoothly traveling there and upon arrival at front desk was informed my reservation was not all inclusive. I immediately called Apple Vacations and was informed that my receipt did not say all inclusive. I looked up my receipt and sure enough it did not say all inclusive. I paid 1360 USD to the front desk for all inclusive at this point. Discussing the online booking with my wife the whole time. We both absolutely remember going through the all inclusive booking option so we decided to try again and did the same thing minus payment of course. All the way through the booking process it says all inclusive apparently up until you pay and get a receipt.

Called Apple again and spoke with a woman who said she looked into my online booking and on her end showed all inclusive was never part of the booking. I explained to her that we just mimicked the steps and got same results and if they were not going to reimburse my payment to resort I would be speaking with my attorney upon arriving back home about their deceptive practices. She offered no compensation. Home again and tried the same steps to book for screen shots for attorney. Now the Sheraton is not offered as an all inclusive. I will be reviewing this company everywhere and reporting to BBB so that nobody else has to get taken by them. Other than that the trip went smoothly.

However when we went to transfer the credits to the one family member that had the ability to travel they said only the person's portion of the voucher could be redeemed and that only the original people on The trip could use Said credits. Meaning less than a quarter of the 3 grand was redeemable.

We tried to explain that the trip was canceled due to my father's failing health and they gave no concern. It was ended with not even a sorry just a, "That is not possible.". If possible I would give Apple Vacations a negative rating. I booked a vacation for 19 family members to celebrate birthdays. We were familiar with the Hotel having visited several times in previous years. We relied on our past experience and Apple Vacations website that had the property still classified as a six golden apple. They published pictures of rooms in pristine condition from days gone by and a beautiful beach with Caribbean blue water. They lure you in with fraudulent/misrepresentation and once you get there and find out that you've been had you are at their mercy and have no recourse. We were told on our way to the hotel by the Apple Representative not to drink the water because it was contaminated.

Even though we didn't drink the water several members of my party came down with stomach issues that lingered on throughout our vacation. The pristine rooms with a tropical view that we were expecting was anything but that. The rooms were dated and tacky appearing to not have been touched since the last time we visited eight years ago. The beautiful beach with Caribbean blue water was brown filled with smelly seaweed and wasn't accessible. We would have never stayed at this hotel had we known in advance that it had deteriorated to this level. Contaminated water, outdated tacky rooms and a beach that wasn't accessible ruined our vacation. My dissatisfaction with my stay at this property is a direct result of faulty misrepresentation provided on Apple Vacations Website.

My husband and I recently took a trip to Cancun, booked through Apple Vacations. The resort we visited was one that Apple Vacations advertises on their website. The resort was awful from the moment we stepped foot on the property. Nothing was as advertised (resort amenities and features, upgrades, etc.). The resort was in complete disrepair (the air conditioning didn't even work). We paid extra for upgrades that were actually standard (ocean front) and for some upgrades that didn't even exist (preferred club status, which was supposed to give access to a members only pool and several other amenities the resort didn't even have).

We contacted Apple Vacations upon our return, detailing the issues and the extend to which we were mislead due to their advertising and promotion of the resort. It took them over a month to respond with a "Sorry it wasn't what you expected" and they'll give us a credit for $150/person, but it has to be used within a year. Our trip cost over $4,000. In short, DO NOT trust your vacation to Apple Vacations. There is a high likelihood you will be mislead and defrauded and end up paying a lot of money for a bad experience.

I didn’t purchase travel protection because I wasn’t aware of it when I purchased nor was I informed when it was canceled. After hours on the phone with Apple vacations rep and a Supervisor I was told I would only receive a travel credit in the amount of $871.98. I was charged $100 per person for cancelling and was inform by the Supervisor that Alaska Airlines charged a cancellation fee of $2703.42. I specifically purchased refundable airline tickets.

I called Alaska Airlines and was informed they do not charge a cancellation fee for the tickets, in fact they do not receive payment until after the trip is completed. On the itinerary there was an advisory stating penalty could apply if travel protection is not purchased and the hotel may charge a fee if not cancelled 24 hours in advance. There is no such advisory on the airline itinerary. Basically, I paid $4,175.40 for a trip that I cancelled 51 days in advance of the trip. Was charged $600 ($100 per person) for canceling the trip AND charged a cancellation fee of $2703.42 by Apple Vacations for the refundable airline tickets I purchased. Updated on 09/11/2022: I am writing a second review dealing with the Hyatt ground who owns Apple Vacations, AMR and Sunscape Curacao. I have literally wrote letters of complaint to Hyatt, AMR resorts and the Sunscape Curaco. This has been going on since June. The resort did not offer many of the services in our itinerary. It was entirely misleading. We are out an extra $1000 we had to spend in food and taxis to leave the resort to eat. I was asking for compensation of this amount. I also paid $400 to upgrade the room to oceanfront and was not given the right room type and given room with obstructed view.

Food was not 24 hours as advertised and most restaurants weren’t open the entire time. Food was not edible or safe with birds free feeding from the buffet. When I finally heard from the manager at Sunscape I received a response with a lot of excuses. The resort manager after two months of back and forth has now offered to compensate some of this with Hyatt points. It’s been almost a week and I’ve heard nothing back from him. The Apple Vacations travel agency offered up a $150 credit and claimed they would send it in email form in two weeks. That was on 9/2. Still waiting? The Hyatt customer service forwarded my complaint to the AMR office only to once again have the same manager respond again. Hyatt did offer 10,000 points which barely gets one night but started they could not handle this as it needed to go back to AMR. I’m not sure that this will ever get resolved. They ruined our vacation and all have left a bad taste in our mouth.

Original Review: Booked a trip for two thru Apple Vacations to Curacao at the Sunscape Resort. The services offered at the resort were not reflected in the itinerary provided. We paid $2700 for two for an all-inclusive and found that many services were not offered, food was not available 24 hours a day, some restaurants at resort were closed. Food was not edible and I witnessed birds flying into the buffet. Room was misrepresented and I paid for an upgrade. Had to fight to get a room change. The room was old and not representative of the pictures online.

The itinerary that Apple provided was not representative of the actual resort. I asked for a partial refund or credit. Apple took weeks to get back to me via email, did not address any of the concerns I raised. Offered a $75 a person credit today and the resort then offered an upgrade we will not use. I paid an additional $1000 having to eat off-site due to this mess. The agency is wiping its hands and it’s supposed to be a provider of travel.

Booked through Apple. Apple Service rep said confirmation sent and I did receive in email. Went back and forth to get confirmation. Finally 1.5 days later confirmation to confirm flight and accommodations was received in my spam mail. So Apple had the problem with their email server but they said I lost out on airline flights and would have to pay $800 to get me and my family of four back on the flight I had chosen. Well I broke down and paid. Doesn't end here.

Three days prior to departure my daughter downloads American Airlines app and says "mom, did you know we have a 7 hour layover in Chicago (from our home destination) prior to leaving for final destination of Cabo?" Uuum no the confirmation I signed with Apple showed the flights and times. 7:10am out of Lansing, get to Chicago 7:20 and leave Chicago around 9:48AM for Cabo. Well nope American Airlines had dropped that flight (or something) and I was never notified so I paid $800 to get up at 4am to catch a 7am flight to sit in Chicago for 7 hour layover. Not happy and contacted Apple and they said they tried to look at other flights but I would have to pay the difference of over $600 each. So we made the best of it and dealt w/ the 7 hour layover.

We had a great time in Cabo (totally recommend). So after a week American Airlines is again our carrier to leave Cabo and the airplane was 20minutes late causing us to miss connecting flight in Chicago. But even if flight would of been on time we would of still missed connecting. Apple scheduled about 1.40 hours to get through customs (with no flight delays or mishap) and they should of known it take 2+ hours to get through customs. I felt like they (as a travel company) should know this, not me, an infrequent international traveler. So I contacted Apple and indicated I need flight voucher for missed flight (we ended up renting a car, out of pocket expense of $800) for the 4 hour drive home - versus waiting until the next day (afternoon) to fly out.

My rep said yes let me talk to my supervisor and she never got back with me. Now I have to hunt down American Airlines and do their job. Frustrating experience all around. I see they have many poor reviews and your darn right I've mentioned this to all my international travel friends that asked me about my trip. Your lost Apple. Never again.

On 3/30/2022 I found a travel vacation website Apple Vacation and wanted to book a travel package. I booked a package for $2,771.09 which included 7 day all inclusive resort plus airfare. When selecting the flights, I selected a non stop, main cabin ticket. I work for an airline company and I knew I did not want a basic economy ticket because this type of ticket doesn't allow for seat selection and you're forced to wait at the gate the day of travel for airline to select any available seat for you. You risk not have a seat the day you show up. I paid extra to ensure I was going to have a seat once confirmed.

Once I submitted my payment, Apple sent me a confirmation and I quickly discovered there was no ability to select seats on the airliners website. Once I spoke to a representative of the airline they told me it was not a main cabin ticket, rather a basic economy ticket and Apple downgraded my ticket automatically. They pulled the bait and switch technique. I wasn't happy about this but I still wanted to take the vacation. I figured I would pay more with the airliner for a Main Cabin Extra ticket, which was the only thing available to ensure I had a seat and I would contact apple vacations asking for a credit of the difference.

Many of these dishonest travel websites will do this to consumers. You buy one thing and you end up with something total different. They force you to purchase insurance in order to cancel in the event something goes wrong with your travel plans. But, this wasn't a case of me not being able to travel, it was them not providing me a seat for which I paid extra to confirm. Other websites like Expedia.com give you the option to cancel with 24 hours without any charges or penalties and issue a full refund. This website does not offer that, in fact when you cancel with the airline within 24 hours, there is no penalty so I don't know why they wouldn't do the right thing by the consumer. So, in attempt to keep my money and offer me a travel credit, they denied me a refund even when I have a valid claim. Apple Vacations was in breach of their own contract.

When I contacted them directly they offered no support. The employees waste your time on the phone and it took 45 minutes to cancel the reservation. I spoke to a Melissa ** that lied directly to the consumer. She didn't tell me that anything could be done but in fact told me she would escalate to the department that would handle disputes only to email me back after getting off the phone to tell me there is nothing they can do and I was stuck with my reservation. An all inclusive resort in a foreign country is not going to care if you arrive on time or not.

By Apple booking me a basic economy ticket, I risk arriving at the airport and not having a seat and the airliner rerouting me around the country with connections in order to get me to my destination or even worse rebooking me on the next flight the next day. They only had one flight per day. At that point, there is no guarantee the resort will hold my reservation for the next day which would mean I could lose an entire day of being at the resort. They didn't seem to care at all and came up with different excuses according to the Better Business Bureau responses. They blamed the airliner. I don't know how websites like this are able to sell something the airliners don’t have and then downgrade their passengers and get away with it.

They stopped responding to my messages on the BBB. I asked for their company headquarters address so I can file a formal complaint with the courts and hire an attorney. According to their terms and agreement, if there are any major changes to the reservation, they have to notify me either electronically or by mail and I would have 7 days to cancel in writing. The images attached will show the difference between Basic Economy and Main Cabin. It will also show Main Cabin as my ticket selection. Again, I work for an airline company and I know I exactly how ticketing works and what tickets you wanna avoid if you want them to assign you a seat at the gate. There is no guarantee you will actually get a seat.

I paid a deposit on a trip to Mexico via a travel agent that booked through Apple Vacations. I purchased insurance and was told that if I did cancel I would receive a refund. I did have to cancel the trip and was told I would get a travel credit. I was surprised because I thought I would get a refund and was told I didn’t get the right type of insurance for that. I have been in contact several times about getting a refund for a deposit paid on this canceled trip. March 15th, I spoke with Antonio. After our conversation, I was told that I would be receiving a refund for my deposit. I was told he was going to email accounting and that they would contact me 10-30 days from our conversation telling me about the refund. I heard nothing and received no email.

I then called on April 12th asking about my refund. I spoke with Lily. She told me I would not be receiving a refund but a travel credit. I told her what I was told by Antonio and that I did not want a travel credit. After several minutes I asked to speak with a manager. She hung up on me. I called back and spoke with Paola. The conversation was the same. I explained everything that I told Lily and she also said that I would not get a refund. I asked to speak to manager. She told me that it would take a long time. I waited but she came back and said that she would send a request about my situation. I received no email. I called April 13th and spoke with Javier. I explained the situation and he said the same as the others. I asked to speak with a manager. He said that he would have to see if one would want to speak with me. I waited on hold for over an hour before getting disconnected. This company is completely unprofessional.

Apple Vacations is the worst travel agency I have ever worked with. Easy to book with them, but if there is a problem...you are left on hold for hours on end, always told you are not talking with the right person and they transfer you again and again. I'm up to about 4 hours today and still holding...Transferred 3 or more times and on hold again. I would not recommend them to anyone. Wow....how do they stay in business???? Buyer beware! Just think, we purchased the travel insurance too. Interesting you can't get through....

Worse, we could not even get them to reply to our pleas for help. Apple's "customer service" strategy is to ignore the customers and hope they just go away. We waited 90 days as instructed, with no answer. So we asked again and we were told to wait another 7 weeks! The phone number were provided did not even work. TL;DR: You get what you pay for with Apple Vacations and if something goes wrong during your trip, don't expect much direct assistance or even a speedy response. Myself and three of my adult friends decided to celebrate three of our birthdays (all of which fall around the same time of year) down in Cancun for an affordable break from the US Northeast's winter weather. When researching vacation packages, I stumbled across Apple Vacations who offered a ridiculously lower price than any other competing company or airline (this should have been my first red flag). I appreciated that the price included airport transfer and included plenty of detail so my group (who isn't very familiar with booking vacation packages) wasn't as unsure of what was needed prior to and during our trip. Unfortunately for us, this is where the positives ended for Apple Vacations.

Upon arriving in Cancun, we were able to easily find our AmStar rep and drive to the resort for check-in. Everything seemed to go fine here (there was a surprise tax that we had to pay at check-in that no one mentioned to us but it was less than $10 USD so nothing horrible). Once we completed check-in, we thought we would be home free and ready to start enjoying our vacation. We were wrong. The two DOUBLE-BED rooms we booked turned out to be SINGLE-KING rooms (we are four male friends, two of which are single and weren't looking to share a bed with anyone other than those they invited back for obvious reasons).

When I alerted the hotel staff to this problem, they told us that the entire hotel was booked for the entirety of our trip and we would have to make do with the roll-up cots they provided us (after almost an hour of discussion) and they would get back to us on whether they would have rooms open during our 4-night stay. Even though they later told us that they had found rooms for us a few nights into our trip, no one ever ended up following up with us on this and so we ended up spending hundreds of dollars for half of us to sleep on some of the most uncomfortable cots ever.

It was at this point we reached out to the front desk about trying to get a full or partial refund for the issues we encountered but they notified us that we would have to contact Apple Vacations as they didn't have the ability to give refunds when stays are booked through a third-party. We then had our friend who works in the travel agency business reach out to Apple who then proceeded to wait multiple days to even respond and, when they did, they told us that the rooms were described as EITHER 2 doubles or 1 king and so they were somehow free of fault because they never specified this to our resort even though I had specifically booked the trip as such and had our travel agent friend confirm this info with Apple Vacations twice before we departed for our trip.

The trip was its own headache and we have since put in another formal request for a refund but their automated system told us that they would MAYBE respond to us within 30-45 BUSINESS days (not regular days, business). As a first time customer, I am astounded at the lack of accountability from Apple and, unless we receive a refund for the mental stress we endured on a trip we paid for, I don't plan on ever using their services again and will actively encourage others to avoid at all costs. I am happy to provide confirmation information regarding my specific trip to verify my horrible experience with Apple Vacations and will happily update my review with a few more stars if they end up offering us a proper refund in the future. Until then, avoid at all costs!

He told me we can not change the date of my trip. And they would not refund my trip either. My friend called and spoke with a different customer service agent who told her they can not refund airline tickets at all but they would give credit for future booking when we were ready.

When I called back to cancel and get the credit I spoke with another agent with broken English and he said they will not refund or credit ANYTHING!!! $1200 down the drain! Their website says this: “If you did NOT purchase Travel Protection Plus, any refund due for air-inclusive vacations (after applicable penalties) will be in the form of a travel credit”. Updated on 02/24/2022: When this site indicates "Resolution in Progress", it seems to mean that I have written my review and that I received a boiler plate response that all reviews get... "Hi insert name, please send your booking number and contact information so we can best assist!" Apple has made no actual attempt to contact me via this site nor have they responded to my nearly two month old emails. See my review below. This company books your trip and they are done. You are hanging in the wind, do not expect any kind of service post or during vacation. All of the Apple company responses that indicate Apple is eager to help are a farce. They do NOT contact you. CRAP company.

Original: We had an issue pre and post travel. Some due to COVID, some due to cancelled flight. We planned to go to Curacao over Christmas with 6 of us. Two days before our trip the rules changed and we each now had to get a negative PCR covid test at $280 each. That is in no way Apple's fault. Just a hassle and we all passed. The evening of the departure, Christmas Eve, my daughter found she was in the presence of a person that tested positive. Due to the travel restrictions she was instructed not to travel. She ended up testing positive on Christmas Day. Before we left the gate we now had one plane ticket that we were expecting a refund for. The trip was fine though the accommodations were subpar. We just went with it, happy to be in the sun.

On New Year's Eve, the day of our departure, we passed all of our Covid tests that would allow us to leave the island. We booked our shuttle to the airport and our flight was on time. By the time we had lunch our flight had been cancelled. We were not told if it was due to weather or Covid. We immediately booked a new flight for the next day but we now had nowhere to stay. We needed to book a room asap. The concierge and the AMR representative spent a LONG time on the phone trying to get ahold of Apple for assistance and instruction. Apple did not pick up the phone.

Ultimately the people at our resort booked us into the last couple of rooms for one more night at a total cost of $1200 and we made the best of it. We were told to contact Apple when we got back for a refund. We emailed a couple days after we returned. We got no response. Given all the craziness that was going on with Covid and the weather we waited a few days to let things settle down for Apple as travel was nuts.

On January 8th I called the 1-800 number. There was no good option to push for my issue. After a nearly 1.5 hour wait which resulted in a transfer to the proper department and another 30min wait we ended up with "we got your email and we will get back to you". We got one email after that indicating that they were on it. and needed COVID test documentation for my daughter. We attached that and waited. We have sent three more emails and nothing has been done. Not even an acknowledgment that they received our doctor's note or any indication that progress is being made.

It has now been nearly 6 weeks and I don't know what to do. I feel I have been patient. I need my American Airline ticket number for the unused ticket. I can only get that from Apple as we were never issued a ticket. I believe I have recourse with my credit card in terms of travel protection but I need to clear up what can do with Apple first. I won't blame Apple for the insanity of travel during a pandemic. I do fault them for lack of adequate communication.

We did purchase insurance, however, my wife and I had been looking forward to this vacation for months now and had no intention of canceling. I find it absurd that Apple Vacations can't offer a cash refund when they offer you a service that they cannot guarantee. It almost seems like this was a scam. An impending weather front was going to arrive the day of our vacation departure. To avoid delays we attempted to push our up departure date and extend our vacation by one day. Prior to calling Apple Vacations my wife checked out to be sure that flights would be available and indeed there was a flight going out on the same carrier at the same time a day earlier. There was also another flight going out a few minutes later on a different carrier at a lower price. We called as soon as the service department was open and after a few minutes were connected to an agent. We explained the situation and he indicated that he would have to transfer the call to another agent, the call was dropped. We then returned a call and after nearly an hour wait we were connect to another agent. We explained our situation and indicated whatever she does don’t cancel our original booking until she is able to book an appropriate new flight.

After an extended period of time she was unable to make a reasonable booking without extensive layovers even when told flights were available. She would constantly indicate that she would have to speak to her supervisor which would very time consuming while on hold. During one of these delays my wife called the airline to find out that the agent had canceled our flights both outgoing and incoming. During the next delay we called another agent on another phone and received a similar response consistently suggestions that they would need to speak to their supervisor causing us to be on hold.

All the while the potential suggested outgoing and now income flights were becoming more problematic. We then asked the agent to look into adding another day at the resort. After another extended hold I inquired as to the price which he indicated was to be $1,007 even when I was aware that other booking agents provided a price close to $500. After 11.5 hours on the phone, mostly on hold the agents were not able to book reasonable flights even when provided available options. In the end the agent indicated there are no supervisors and the time we spent on hold was pointless.

We finally asked if the agent would just be able to refund the total price of our vacation as it was requested within 3 days of departure and we had insurance. We have only received a voucher not a cash refund. We attempted to check out if our refund had indeed been processed but returned to the same comment that we would be put on hold and ended with the agent not being able to provide appropriate information. We have booked numerous vacations with Apple Vacations for 22 years and since they have outsourced their customer service internationally service is very challenging to near impossible to deal with.

We experienced a similar problem with a booking in November. Several days prior to our departure my wife to a PCR covid test as we both took rapid tests. The rapid tests were negative but the day before our departure here PCR test came back positive. (It was a false positive.) In an effort to cancel and rebook were on the phone with an agent for several hours and finally ended up making a booking with substantial cancelation fees. The agent booked us into a resort that unbeknown to us happened to be prepping for a two week long music festival. Mid week the beach was consumed by a huge professional sound stage that was right in front of the main pool. High voltage cables were placed adjacent to and over the pool. Forklifts whirled around to pool deck and the lobby turned into a storage area for equipment.

As the week continued the number of guests declined as did the buffet and entertainment. Services also declined and maintenance seemed to be minimized. The agent should have been aware of this situation and then suggested another property or date but due to what appears to be a lack of training neither were considered. At this time other than an email from the agent we are not sure if we have a credit. We considered rebooking the same resort but the price has greatly increased. Due to extremely poor customer service both our early and midwinter vacations were a total mess.

Just recently our agent informed us our measly credit expired and they refuse to bring it back because people are traveling right now, so why should they? This is a gross practice. I have no need to be in a foreign country and possibly get sick or be sick when I arrive, not knowing. Especially right now, January is 2021 when the cases are higher than they have ever been.

I'm sure Apple received a ridiculous amount of stimulus money, yet need to keep those credits from folks whose trips were canceled for things of our control. And I was good with a credit (which is also kind of shady) but it should never expire. Don't book if you want any sort of money or credit, even if the CDC says you shouldn't be traveling at the time!!

New flights meant we would be landing at a later time so I emailed Apple (because we would be on a flight and then, in a foreign country and I wasn't sure how my phone would work for calls....) I explained the situation & asked for assurance we would have a ride to the hotel. I kept getting a canned response saying someone would be in touch with me. We made it to the hotel with no help from our travel agent. When we arrived I spoke to the Apple rep who works at the resort - he said they said they had been in touch with me. (They hadn't been.) He agreed to escalate.

4 DAYS LATER they emailed me and basically said "looks like you figured it out and made it to the resort." I responded stating how horrified I was at the urgency the during travel team felt to ensure their customers were safe and comfortable. They responded to a person with a different name than mine, thanking them for emailing Cheap Caribbean Vacations??? To this day, no response, no apologies, no attempt at resolution. We will NEVER use Apple Vacations again & I will make sure anyone I know knows how terribly the customer service experience with them was. WHAT IS THE POINT of travel assistance if they offer none?

Updated on 01/14/2022: I have already written several reviews warning people that Apple Vacations is a Fraudulent company. I have provided them with all the information they requested - my itinerary number, email address, and phone number - yet NO ONE has reached out to me to resolve my problem. Apple Vacations is a fraudulent company. It needs to be investigated and either be held accountable for defrauding its customers or shut down completely.

Updated on 1/12/2022: Hello, I already submitted my complaint and received a response from Apple Vacations to email them at avsocialteam@applevac.com. This email is a fake. I tried emailing them and it came back as an error (i.e. wrong email address). Shame on Apple Vacations. Someone needs to report this company for fraud. They need to shut down this company. It is not a legitimate and honest company. Do not use this company.

Original review: We booked a vacation with Apple Vacations to Cancun in October 2020 then decided to postpone it because of Covid-19. After spending almost 10 hours on the phone with different representatives and receiving emails documenting our credit amount, Apple Vacations still charged us about $700 in penalties for re-scheduling DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. Shame on Apple Vacations for charging anything during the Covid-19 pandemic. Shame on Apple Vacations for letting their customers spend 2 hours per phone call with their representatives. Shame on Apple Vacations for not honoring the emails from their own representatives documenting their customers' credit. We will NEVER EVER use apple vacations again.

I purchased a vacation to Las Vegas on the Apple Vacations website. On December 24th, I missed my flight. Despite calling every number I was given, sending several emails and finally speaking with a representative for 1 hr 51 mins, I ended up with cancelled hotel reservations that I was unaware of. At the end of the conversation with the representative I was lead to believe that everyone had been contacted to just shift my reservations and we just had to wait for the hotel to respond and we would change the return flight. I had already secured another flight to Vegas on my own. When I never received a response on my hotel accommodations, I called the hotel and they informed me, my reservations had been cancelled by Apple. So, if I had not checked I would have been in Vegas with no rooms.

When I called Apple once again the representative said he didn’t know why my reservations were cancelled and seen nothing about changing my stay and return flight. He asked me if I wanted both of my reservations reinstated and I said, “Yes”. When my son and I arrived at the hotel they said my son didn’t have a room and my room only had one bed. My son is an adult and I don’t think he wants to share a bed with his mother. I’m assuming due to everything I was experiencing, the representative took pity on me and spoke with her manager about reinstating my son’s reservation. I was told previously that since I booked through a third party, Apple would have to do the modification. I do not plan on using Apple again, they made a bad situation worse.

Our experience with Apple's customer service began (or didn't begin) with us leaving for the airport at 2am for our 6am flight to Chicago (then on to Punta Cana). We checked in the night before (only 8 hours prior to departure), but when we got to the airport, our flight was cancelled. We never received notification from the airline. The airline told us since it was booked through Apple, they received the notification. Not only didn't they contact us, they never updated the info on their site when we signed in. Our new flight wouldn't get us to our destination until late the next day. I went to Apple's online chat for help in perhaps getting a refund for the night we missed, I got a cut and pasted answer to call someone else, nothing more.

I called the number and they said they could email the hotel. I asked for a breakdown of the hotel costs since United said they might be able to reimburse us. Apple said they wouldn't give it. I told them if they credit us the one night, we'd already know what the nightly cost was, so what was the difference. The customer service person said no, but maybe if the hotel doesn't refund us the money, they can escalate it. I asked if I'd be notified if that happened. They said, no, call back. I was on hold for an hour, I told them I'm not calling back long distance from Punta Cana, can't they just email me one way or the other. The answer, "no". I've gone on perhaps 20 vacations over the years with Apple...and this is the last.

The agent my mother worked with, in Branson Missouri, misdirected her and talked her into buying a party trip. When she attempted to make changes to the itinerary she was informed that she could not make changes, effectively forcing her to make a stop in Las Vegas and pay for a hotel that she did not want, on both the initial and the return trip. My family and I attempted to make changes for her once she arrived at her destination but we were informed, by the airlines, that changes could not be made unless we went through the AppleVacations agent.

When we attempted to go through her agent Carl ** he would not help and was screaming at us on the phone. When we told him we had no choice but to ask him for help he contacted the airline but made my mother pay for the changes then threatened us by saying he was recording the call which was a lie! If he did I would love to hear it since it made him look really bad. I would never recommend this agency. The trips they sell are intended to get the agent the highest commission at the expense of the traveler with no way to protect themselves. The small print inhibits you from making changes to the itinerary without having to pay more money, even though the airline will change your flight, time, and date without charging you, and most hotels allow you to cancel within 24 hours without penalty.

We canceled an all inclusive Mexico trip in March 2020 due to COVID. We were given a (now) confusing message to book within 90 days of December 2021. After several months of conversations in 2020 and even early July of 2021 of options for rebooking, at the end of July 2021 for the first time in a year and half suddenly they say, "No, you had 90 days from March of 2020 to book, not 90 days from December 2021. Sorry you lose all your money."

No compromise or recognition of multiple conversations stating otherwise. No recognition of how ridiculous it was to try to book flights during March - June 2020 (remember what happened with COVID starting in July 2020?). No credit at all. I booked my dream vacation to San Juan, Puerto Rico through Apple Vacations approximately 3 months ago. The resort was recommended via Apple Vacations. I arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Monday 4/26/2021 @ 2:20PM. My transportation picked me up @ approximately 3:30PM after a mix up and not having us on their list. I arrived at the hotel @ approximately 4PM. I was greeted by Nestor ** and he was going to check in my party. There were 4 people in my party. My party included myself and my three children, ages 18, 20, 21.

As Mr. ** was trying to check me in, there was a guest also checking in with her significant other. The guest was yelling, screaming, and verbally assaulting your front desk staff, Julia. The guest even went as far as to tell her "step outside", insinuating she was going to physically assault her. This went on for almost 30 minutes and made my check in process very difficult to say the least. I was finally able to check in but my rooms were not ready yet. I booked 2 double rooms which should be next to each other if not conjoining. The guest making the disturbance was also checked in, which was unbelievable to me.

I left my luggage at the hotel with the concierge and decided to take my children to lunch until our rooms were ready. I took my children to La Cansita located across the street. We had a late lunch/early dinner. We received a call from the front desk staff stating our rooms were ready @ 5:44PM. I went back to the hotel and was informed only one room was ready. We took all of our luggage to that room and were going to wait until the other room was ready to transport some of our luggage to that room. We were given the room of 507. We took our luggage upstairs and noticed it had one king bed instead of the double bed I reserved. I immediately went back downstairs and informed the front desk of this. I was then given rooms 517 & 527.

We then transported our luggage to those rooms. We changed into our beach attire and went downstairs to the beach. We stayed there for about 1 hour and then went to the pool area. We left the pool area at approximately 8:30PM. We were tired from traveling so we then returned to our rooms. I went to my room of 517 and my children went to 527.

This is when the problem occurred. Two of my children were allegedly in a verbal altercation with each other. There was allegedly a phone complaint regarding the noise from that verbal altercation. Omar **, unsure of his title other than security, knocked on my door @ 9:12 PM and informed me that my children and I needed to vacate the Royal Sonesta Resort.

As I was speaking to Omar and trying to find out what was going on as well as why we had to leave, he stated it is his decision on who stays and who goes. I informed him of the altercation in the vestibule of your hotel that happened hours earlier. I asked him why those guests were not asked to leave? Why were they checked in after verbally assaulting and threatening your hotel employee? He once again stated it is ultimately his decision on who stays and who leaves and we needed to leave. However, for $1500 cash we could stay. He stood there as I packed my belongings. I obviously was sobbing because I could not believe this was actually happening. It was almost 10PM and the town was closed from 10PM-5AM. I had nowhere to go. My flights were not until Saturday 5/1/2021. The hotel offered no assistance. After watching the altercation earlier, I could not believe we were being told to leave.

I tried to contact Nestor ** as he was the only one that I had contact with. Unfortunately, due to the time he had left for the day. I called the San Juan Police Department. The sergeant came out and spoke with me. He stated that there was nothing they could do because it is up to the resort on who stays in the hotel. I asked Omar ** for any manager and was told once again that he was in charge and we needed to leave. I then went inside to the front desk and asked the front desk personnel, Amanda, and asked for management information. She gave me a generic card with Peter ** scribbled on it with no contact information. Here I was in Puerto Rico and on the street. I had no one to contact and nowhere to go.

I called Apple Vacations but due to the time of the alleged incident there was nothing they could do. They called the hotel and tried to figure out the situation and see if we could stay the night until management arrived to properly handle the situation. The lady I spoke with at Apple Vacations, Carolyn, stated Omar ** told her it was a "physical altercation", there was blood all over the room and that my children were injured. All of that was a complete false statement. The police would not even file a report because they stated "it was two brothers arguing". Carolyn advised me to take pictures of the room. Omar ** denied me access to the rooms I reserved and paid for in full to obtain pictures.

Apple Vacations tried to assist me to look for other rooms in the area but all other resorts were full for the night. I contacted United Airlines to see if my flight could be moved up to 4/27/2021 from the original date of 5/1/2021. United airlines was the ONLY business that was accommodating during this terrible experience..

I had to sit outside on the street until almost 1AM while trying to figure things out. The hotel did nothing to accommodate us, not even calling us a taxi. Omar ** clearly did not handle this situation in the best interest of Royal Sonesta or my family. Omar ** needs to be retrained and informed on how to not only deescalate a situation but also on hospitality and customer service instead of extortion. I have never been treated this way and the fact that he could toss out any paying guest on the street at his discretion is beyond imaginable to me. It was a complete abuse of power that was given to him by Royal Sonesta. He stood outside with a police officer and a lady that was at the outside concierge desk until we left the premises, approximately 5:15AM.

I asked numerous times for a report of the incident, he said no. I asked for check out papers, he said no. As of right now, I have nothing stating I was even there. I tried to file a formal complaint against Omar ** with the actual hotel manager, Michael **. Mr. ** was on vacation when all of this took place, clearly not staying at one of his resorts. He denied my request and vouched for Omar **. I also requested a full refund for the stay that Omar ** denied my children and I. That was granted. Apple Vacations to this day, has not contacted me. Not once. I will NEVER use this business not do I recommend anyone else to.

I feel I have waited long enough to be refunded for an excursion I paid for and was not able to go on. There's no problem with taking your money but giving it back when justified seems to be a big deal. I can see having to wait the typical 7 to 10 business days but 5 weeks is a bit much. Hello, I'm reaching out to express my frustration with Apple Vacations. In February 2020, we booked a trip to Mexico for September 2020, before Covid closed the world down. We worked with our trusted travel agent to book this trip; however, we were unaware she was booking said trip through Apple Vacations, or we would've booked our own trip. We have expressed our frustration to our travel agent as well, who said Apple Vacations was completely unwilling to work with us. Needless to say, we paid a $400 deposit in February 2020. Then in June 2020, we rebooked the trip to February 2021, thinking we'd feel more safe traveling and paid another $1168.50. Totally $1568.50 paid for this trip, that we ended up cancelling in November 2020, due to safety reasons while traveling.

When we cancelled our trip in November, we figured we'd be refunded at least most of what we'd paid but to find out that we wouldn't be refunded anything and just have a credit on our apple vacations account, that seemed unfair to us; especially during a PANDEMIC. My husband and I worked our butts off to be able to take a tropical vacation in the first place, so to not be refunded anything was a deep cut to us.

Although it was hard to swallow, we accepted not being refunded the $1500 and having a credit on our account; thinking it would be effective until we were comfortable traveling again. We recently found out that is not the case and our credit is only effective until December 2021. Which in theory wouldn't be an issue, since we've been vaccinated, except I am now expecting and am unable to travel past 25 weeks. And we also recently found our "credit" is for $434 (nowhere near the $1500 we have paid for our original trip). If we wanted to use said credit, we would end up having to pay another $2000+ to be able to take advantage of the all-inclusive benefits, we originally planned. While expecting a baby, we don't just have an extra $2000 to blow. So glad we threw away $1500....

This trip to Mexico was supposed to be a happy final trip before starting a family, but it ended up being a nightmare. We are extremely disappointed in Apple Vacation's policy and flexibility during the literal pandemic. We are typically not people who write reviews, but due to the circumstances and no leeway during a pandemic; we will make sure to leave reviews on all available review sites.

    Sincerely frustrated former customer,

    Amber

Horrible Experience with Apple Vacation. Our Vacation did not go as plan and I have been trying to get Apple Vacation to help resolve the issues. Since March of 2021 I had nothing but hang ups and excuses. At one point I was told by customer service that I should be happy we used a profession pool for our 15th wedding anniversary. I have also been told no one is going to be able to help, in other words they don't seem to care about customer service. At this point I would not recommend anyone use Apple Vacation under the new management team. I even had the Better Business Bureau involved and they could not get an answer form anyone at this business. You will be left alone to fight your claim without any support.

Currently the status is the hotel's fault and the hotel's response Apple Vacations fault. In the meantime the consumer will be left in the dark. Once you make your payment you are left to fend for yourself. Our 15th year anniversary vacation experience was so bad that my children refuse to return to Cancun. As of June 01, 2021 I still have not received a response from any of the following departments. Post Travel, Customer Care and during travel @ Apple Vacations.

Friday morning 5/7/21 my cousin and booked a vacation. We are going to the Riviera Maya at the end of October. We were booking online at the same time. When we got to the payment section we each had 2 different payment methods. We both counted down and pressed enter at approximately the same time. Hers went thru but mine did not. It kept saying the flight was unavailable and try back later. I tried it again and again about six times. Kept getting the same message. The price per the package online didn’t change. I decided to call the 1-800 number. I talked to one of the sales agents. She said the price is subject to change. However the price I kept seeing did not change. I said that is fine but it shouldn’t change when I am putting in my payment method. That is a bait and switch.

I booked at the higher price since I wanted to go with my cousin. Then I told her I wanted to talk with a Manager. She said I couldn’t talk with one. This was not a Manager situation. I said that is wrong any Customer should be able to talk with a manager. She said all of them were in meetings except for two. Then she finally said I could talk with one but it would be about 20 minutes. I said I would wait. Ten minutes went by and said the Manager was still on the phone.

After ten more minutes she said it would be another 30 to 60 minutes. I vented to her telling her that the Managers were horrible for not supporting them and taking care of angry Customers. I told her how disappointed I was with Apple Vacation and their Managers. I will not recommend Apple Vacation to anyone. After spending 3 hours on the telephone I was told the Airlines raised their price. So my cousin who must have booked 1 sec. before me paid $150 less than I had to pay. Everytime I checked it all evening it didn’t change. Very upset and disappointed in Apple Vacation.

I was sent an email stating that we would be issued a full credit (even though we didnt have travel insurance) plus a 25% credit if we rebooked within 365 days. December, 2020 I rebooked, added two more travelers since now my son and his girlfriend are graduating from college (perfect timing). I was issued a travelers credit from the airline and was told my credit from hotel would be issued within 30-40 days. Still no credit. I have paid over $4,000 so far. Today (13 days till travel), I was told that I may have to pay the $3,106 balance and just get a credit for later travel with them. LOL LOL LOL are you kidding me? I explained I would NEVER be traveling with them again. And, if I get to the airport and they turn me around because I havent paid, the next person they would be hearing from would be an attorney. We had our booked vacation to Cancun cancelled in May of 2020 because of Covid. We were offered a refund or an additional 25% future travel credit on top of what we already paid. We opted to go with the extra 25% and put it on a new reservation for 2021. Well this happened in April 2020 and when I started looking for a new vacation in March 2021 there still wasn’t anything that stated I had a credit with my reservation number. I tried online and got nowhere so I called the 800 #, got hung up on twice and finally spoke to someone that couldn’t help me. I got nowhere. I ended up having to find a local travel company that books through Apple to get anywhere. We both spent hours on the phone with them after we decided on a new vacation and was ready to book it.

I chose a vacation based on what What I had already paid plus the extra 25% I was going to get. On top of that I was going to owe another $300 which was completely fine with me. They finally seemed like it was all going to work out. I got an email that I was going to receive the payment. Well someone there messed up and gave me a credit of the exact amount I paid originally back on my CC as a refund instead of transfer of the funds to my new reservation we had discussed. Now since they say they already issued a refund they can’t do anything about it and they can’t give me the 25% now. I have spend days and hours at a time in the phone with them trying to get this solved. Now am honestly so shocked at how difficult this is. I thought Apple was a great company before all this.

It seems so easy to fix and take care of but every time I call they say, "Sorry there’s nothing I can do" and won’t let me speak to anyone else higher up either. No one that answers the phone speaks very good English and they all work from home. No one is helpful. This has supposedly been escalated to the accounting department but they said I won’t hear from anyone or get an email. That I would have to call again to check on anything. Well my time is almost up to have to pay the $430 balance on my new reservation that I’m going to have to pay out today pocket for so I don’t lose it. I am just so disappointed and shocked they are doing business this way and won’t honor what they said they would do when it was their mistake in how the funds were transferred not mine.

On 01/05/2021 I booked a vacation to Punta Cana through Apple Vacations for my daughter and I. Along with paying IN FULL for the vacation, I also purchased Travel Protection Plus, knowing the way things in the world were, that it was very possible this trip may not happen and I wanted to cover my bases. On 02/25/2021, SIX days before we were scheduled to leave, I received an email from Apple Vacations that the price of my trip had increased due to air travel in the amount of $209.50 per person and was given the option to accept this increase in price or to cancel. Since this was due to no fault of my own and being unable to pay an additional $419.00, I cancelled the trip via email. After calling the only number listed to inquire about a refund, I was on hold over an hour without ever being able to talk to anyone.

On 04/01/2021, I tried again to reach someone at Apple Vacations by phone. After again being on hold one hour and 30 minutes, I was still unable to talk to anyone. I was able reach someone at Apple Vacations by email and after several back and forth emails, I was told that since the price of the vacation increased and was cancelled due to no fault of my own, they would refund the travel portion only, but not the hotel. On 04/08/2021, I filed a dispute with my credit card in hopes of getting a refund resolution, which Apple Vacations has yet to respond to. This morning, 04/22/2021, I received an email from Apple Vacations with full travel credit points and no offer of a refund as previously mentioned. I can redeem my travel credits by calling….you guessed it, the only number given that no one answers!

The idea of wanting travel credit is absolutely ridiculous. I agreed to and paid for this vacation and the price of it was raised six days before departure due to no fault of my own. I feel completely duped over this. How in the world Apple Vacations can get away with charging one price and then increasing it prior to departure and then not agreeing to a refund is completely unethical. Please save your time and money and never consider this company when booking a vacation. You will be charged, they will upcharge you right before departure and you will never get resolution! Ridiculous.

In total we have spent over 50 hours on hold/calling/rescheduling/dealing with agents that have no clue what they are doing. AND they refuse to refund us, give us credit, or rebook. You cannot get ahold of any single person who can help you. I used a different travel company for a trip for 8 people and it was smooth sailing. Canceled a trip in November 2020 due to Covid restrictions and travel into Mexico was too risky at the time, and I still haven’t received my refund. At the time of my vacation purchase (September 2020), I purchased vacation insurance that stated I would get 100% of my vacation fees returned (minus the $179.97 it cost for the insurance), within 90-days of my cancellation. Still haven't received my money. I then filed a dispute with the credit card company and the travel agency/travel insurance claimed there was no cancellation per policy received, which is not true, and the credit card company reversed the charge. That's what the vacation insurance was for. It's a vicious circle! I have proof of policy, proof that I purchased the extra insurance to get a 100% refund, and nothing. I have been honest, transparent, and have done my due diligence, yet, I’m still out $3,500 plus interest.

I have attempted to call Apple Vacations dozens of times and I speak to no one or get shuffled around to various customer specialists that can’t solve the problem. Or, I get hung up on. I have waited as long as 2 hours on hold to speak to a customer dispute specialist, with no luck, as their main customer service line has a typical speech stating they don't handle these sorts of cases and end up transferring me in a circle where no one is able to help. They don’t return emails either, as I have emailed many times and no response back.

What’s worse is the travel company, Apple Vacations now says there is no transaction available to use paid funds towards another trip. They stole my money and the credit card company has allowed them to get away with it. This company is unethical, unreliable, and stealing from customers. I hope a class action lawsuit is opened against this horrific company as it's slime balls like this that make the world a sad place.

Apple Vacations ensured my friends (2 ladies) and I, that we would receive a credit on a trip to Barbados that was unfortunately canceled due to the pandemic June 2020. The refund totaled $1350 ultimately $450/ea. We were informed of this credit for future use of airfare only with American Airlines. We called and were told our credit was due to expire May 30th if not use before then to book a flight. Once I separately booked through apple Vacations, my flight ended up costing $404 with American. I was called back by Apple rep and notified of a $18.80 hotel fee mandatory that I “must pay” that was not covered by my remaining credit of $46. I asked to speak with a supervisor (Hector **) who was very unprofessional yelling and telling me how upset he was with me after having a calm discussion with him regarding principles. Hector then proceeded by insulting me stating “it’s only $18.”

To add insult to injury, Hector continue to be little the situation stating “I’ll pay for it out of my own pocket since it's too much for you”. This was a lie. Afterwards, I was again contacted by Maria **, Apple rep with the email attached again ensuring me things had been handled and now a new adjustment was made changing my flight ticket and price to $402 (Not sure why).

Two days later I received another email stating my reservation was being canceled due to failure to pay $421 (I’m guessing the flight cost $402 (which I already had credit for) +the $18.80 bogus hotel fee that I explain to the rep and Hector I didn’t need). I am beyond livid and as of this date and time I’m currently on the phone on hold now for ~3 hours with Apple vacation and filing their business as a scam, as I try to rectify this situation, which at this point is wishful thinking. This company should not be allowed to do this to consumers. This company refuses to refund my $1500 charge and instead offer travel credits which are useless to me. I was also denied adding the travel protection, that was not offered at the time of purchase, because apparently I can only add this up to 7 days after booking, not the 9 days it’s been. We have been on over 20 Apple vacations. We have always loved them. We have never complained. We bought the insurance, so we could be reimbursed if anything went wrong. We did our research. We went on a trip March 25-April 1. We specifically booked a nonstop, with the Apple agent. We were put on Spirit, which we hate, it was originally non stop flight ORD to Cancun. I did reach out to an Apple representative asking for a different airline. The representative told me that we could not switch and again said it was non stop.

A month before trip, our flight was no longer non-stop, we had to go through Fort Lauderdale. I called and emailed asking to be changed and she said it is not possible. We did lots of research, because going to Mexico has lots of requirements due to covid. We paid more to stay at a secrets resort to be assured we would have on site covid testing 72 hours prior to the flight. Also, if we did get covid we could stay there free for two weeks.

Our flight was CANCELLED on the way home. We waited in the spirit airline line for two hours waiting to check a bag, before a stranger in front of us told us that the flight was cancelled. The reason was unclear, they told us the airport was closed in Fort Lauderdale, which was a lie. It was a total nightmare. The Spirit attendant at the counter basically said, "Sorry your flight is cancelled." She said she could not rebook us on a flight until April 5th!!!! She did not even try to help us find another flight, people were freaking out. We remained calm and tried to get her to reimburse our funds so we could buy another flight on our own. She would not. We showed our insurance forms, she said, "Call them." I asked for a receipt, I got nothing, we requested to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor was no help either and people were yelling and screaming at him. They provided zero help. We were left without a flight home in Mexico.

I called the 1-800-517-2000 Apple vacation team, I called the 1-866-389-5378 travel protection plus plan number, I called the 24 hour hotline 52 998 881 9500, I called 1-855-572-9893, NOT ONE PERSON ANSWERED!!!! I went online with during travel.applevac.com, apple vacations, every number and site I could find - NO ONE COULD HELP US!!! If we stayed in Cancun until April 5th, where would we stay? Who would pay? How would we get retested? I had so many questions and we could not get any help through any of your numbers, sites or services. We were beyond livid. Everything we were promised wasn’t true.

We got home last night!!!! We bought our own air on Frontier, we had to find the terminal because the internet at the airport was so bad, we could not buy online. We finally got to the Frontier line, waited again, bought a flight for $756. 62. We could not get a flight home, they were all oversold. We wanted to get out of Mexico because we would have to retest for covid and since we were out of our Secret resort. Our covid test would expire and they were charging $500 cash for another test. Once you are out of your resort, they are able to completely take advantage of you because they know you need it to get home. We also do not speak very much Spanish and they take advantage of that as well.

    Our costs:

Flight to Denver, because we could not get to Ohare: Frontier EBF6WG, two tickets cost us: $756. 62
    Hotel: $500 dollars
Ubers to and from airport and hotel: $109

    Food: $500

I have receipts for all of this. How do I get reimbursed???? My father in law works for united so he got us home free from Denver. This was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime, 30 years of marriage, we were supposed to go last year, but covid hit, and we finally were able to rebook and this is what happened. I spoke to an agent and gave her all this info on Friday, April 2nd. I still have not heard anything from anyone. I have called many times, waited hours. WE WILL NEVER GO ON ANOTHER APPLE TRIP!

I told her no fault of hers but asked to be transferred chasing a toddler around and trying to decipher what was being said just wasn't happening. Well then I was told we still have a balance on our trip... Um, no. We transferred our credits and paid the remainder last week when booked. I asked to speak with a manager... Finally after 6 hours they agreed to give me a credit (not a refund) of the difference. Today I saw it went down again so I called again. This time they said I would not get the difference and by the way...they were taking back the last credit they gave me too!!! So frustrating. They used to be a good company but not anymore! When I called to rebook for March 2021, I asked how much I had to spend and it was about $500 less than I originally paid. I don't understand how they punish you and take your money for having to rebook when there is a pandemic going on and it's not our fault we had to reschedule. Then when I asked about the 25% they applied it and I had what I originally paid?

I thought we were supposed to get the 25% on top of what we already have. I don't understand what they did to figure everything out, but I will never book through them again. I've called a couple times trying to figure things out and they said they documented everything so when I come back it's easier, it's not. Every person you get tells you different things. When I asked about a credit I received in my email, the one guy goes I already applied that and I know for sure he did not. If you ever have rebook, they take advantage of you and take your money. I will never book through them again, I've wasted countless hours on the phone for nothing to be solved.

We went ahead and cancelled for a voucher that was said to expire at the end of the year and a travel credit for February. When I called today, they said I had a credit of 2400 usd but they need to call the hotel. The hotel told them that I had to the end of June to use it. End of June... the hotel wasn’t open and they also were not taking reservations due to not knowing when travel restrictions would be lifted. Apple claims that there also was an extension to book by August. None of these requirements were disclosed at the time. Now I’m out the credit they claim. After having taken many trips via Apple Vacations, I was surprised and extremely disappointed by the lack of customer service and inconsistent pricing experienced during this most recent trip booking. Instead of paying online the final balance, I called to ask some final questions of a sales agent and when given the amount owed, was told I owed an additional $577 but the agent could not explain what the extra charges were. She said she would investigate it the following day and would call back. She never called and never attempted to remove what seemed to be a call-fee charge that cannot be explained or removed. Despite 10+ trips using Apple Vacations, this is my last one as I will never do business with them again after the disregard for customer inquiries about unknown charges.

After some fighting over the issue, a supervisor contacted us and got the complaint resolved and refunded our money.

    Original Review: Oct. 27, 2020

We booked a vacation with the company Apple Vacations that was supposed to happen in May but was cancelled due to COVID. They offered us 25% on top of our vacation price if we booked another vacation through them. We were still hoping to do so at this time so we accepted. Now with COVID not calmed down we had requested our money back 90 days ago which was their timeframe for processing returns.

When we didn’t receive it we contacted the company and they informed us that they would not be giving us our money back because we accepted the extra 25%. This was never communicated to us previously, not once was it mentioned to us in the 90 days that we were waiting for our refund or did it mention in any policy. They showed extremely poor business ethics in dealing with this situation and I also feel are entrapping people, not just us to keep their money. This has put us in a very poor spot financially as we have been expecting this money for 90 days with them just sitting on it. They are taking advantage of us as consumers during this Pandemic.

Either the employees are inept or this company is really shady! CONSUMERS BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH APPLE VACATIONS. THIS HAS BEEN MY EXPERIENCE. ANY IS MY OPINION. They have put me through Hell. Wasting numerous hours on the phone writing emails, sending letters which only resulting in aggravation and stress. What Company treats their customers this way. If I had known or read a review like this this prior to booking I would not taken the chance to do business with Apple Vacations (ALG).

We had to cancel the trip on 07/28/2020 and to date 10/14/2020 the funds have not been refunded to my account. It took them less than one minute to charge my credit card but can't find a minute to credit my account. I had made many trips with Apple Vacations and never had to cancel before. This leaves me fearing that this company may not be financially stable enough to make refunds. This concerns me deeply that we might lose the entire cost of the trip. Original Review: Sept. 28, 2020

I had a trip booked for November and purchased the Apple travel insurance. We had to cancel. Now being told could take 90 days for a refund. I find this unacceptable as I purchased the insurance! There is no research that needs to be done. I had the travel protection, can cancel for any reason. My refund should be immediate! I went back and forth with a rep via email explaining I was very concerned about the negative reviews regarding refunds and I was told they are not as far behind. Again I’m not sure why there would be any delay in refunding a person who paid extra for the travel protection product. I will book nothing with them going forward as I don’t appreciate paying for an insurance product and still waiting for a refund. I tried calling but after the automated message it’s basically dead air for long time so I gave up! These transactions are done via a credit or debit card. It’s not difficult to refund those timely.

So- I called in and was told that now to get a refund we had to fill out a formal request which we all have done.

In the time of covid, people are in need of these funds more than ever- and it is so unfair that this company feels the need to hold on to money that is needed.

Each time that I have called, I have been told that they do not know why it is taking so long but yet cannot tell me or any of my family members where we are (if any) in the process. This was my first vacation experience with Apple- I will not be traveling with them in the future. Sad to say- this has been a horrible experience. If I could give them negative stars, I would!

On March 27th I requested the refund and received an email from them saying so but it would take up to 90 days. They sent a shady email in June saying to either rebook for an additional 25% or put "refund" in the comment box. I once again asked for the refund and received another confirmation email. I emailed asking why after 129 days we still had not received an email. They said they just received it in June? They are apparently trying to count the 90 days from the second request? My husband then reached out to them on Twitter and I get a voicemail from some Linda in Wisconsin saying I can only get travel credit???? But you can't call back the number? I called customer service and have currently been on hold for 35 minutes. This is the most despicable, convoluted service I have ever received. We will have to get the bank involved unfortunately. Apple Vacations is extremely unprofessional and I will never book with them again. I booked a trip to Jamaica with 10 other people to celebrate a 40th birthday for the week of April 20th last year. The cost totaled a little over $2,000. When Covid-19 restrictions started to reach its peak and we realized we wouldn't be able to go on this vacation, the week of March 22nd I requested a refund. What followed after that has been a nightmare.

I'll start by saying that everyone in our party has received a full refund except myself. At first, Apple Vacations stated that it would take 7 days for me to get my refund. 7 days came and went. I contacted Apple Vacations and they said that my banking account information was incorrect. My bank had not changed, but I had lost my debit card. I provided them the additional information and then was told that I would receive my refund in 90 days. 90 days came and went.

This time, Apple Vacations said that I never responded to their email. I haven't received any emails. I was told that my bank rejected the refund. The bank has no such thing on file. Then I was told that I would receive a paper check within 15 days. You guessed it, 15 days came and went. I contacted Apple Vacations again and this time I was told that they didn't have my correct address on file. Then the customer service staff proceeded to read off my correct address. I then told them that I would be leaving this review.

Apple Vacations has given me nothing but the runaround ever since this pandemic has started and it is absolutely unacceptable. I have been told that I didn't respond to an email that I never received, I have been told that my bank rejected a refund that they never received, and have been told that my mailing address was incorrect when they had the correct one. This has made an already disappointing turn of events into a frustrating ordeal. I will never book with them again, and I still expect my full refund.

We had a family trip scheduled for March 21st. The trip was very expensive as we had 7 people in our party. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 we were forced to cancel our trip. It took seconds for Apple Vacations to charge our credit card but now I have been waiting over two months to receive my refund. I called customer service three times and they are all saying that it will take 90 days to process my refund. This is unacceptable. I do not understand how Apple Vacations is able to keep my money for 90 days. There should be laws that protect consumers in these situations.

How can a refund on a credit card take up to 90 days but to charge my card on the schedule they probably see timely.

I realize this is a stressful time with the Covid-19 issues. However, this is not the time for Apple Vacations executives to use our money for their personal gain. We had a trip to Cancun scheduled in May. When we contacted Apple to cancel, we were on hold over two hours before getting to a live agent. We were told it would be 90 days before we would get a refund. The group of ladies and I are all laid off due to COVID-19 and do not have income, (unemployment wait is a joke also), yet they are going to take $50 from each traveler for CANCELLING, really I am sure travel is BANNED means NO TRAVEL.

My question was why, it took less than an 60 seconds to charge this trip to my credit card. I was not happy and truly expressed my feelings, Apple Vacations reply was “That is the way it is!”. I expressed the fact charging takes only a minute, but refunds take 90 days, that is not fair, this is a rip off, they just kept saying that is the way it is and they cannot do anything about it. Today is 05/13/2020, we cancelled in March, I have contacted them at least four times, being on hold every time for over two hours. One time, three agents picked up independently, I told each my issue, they would put me on hold and did not return. I explained to the 4th agent that picked up, that three agents had put me on hold and I had been on the phone for 119 minutes. Every time I call back now it goes to THIN AIR and no one picks up.

How can it take 90 days other than they are holding on to the money for their own benefit. They tried to tell me, "There are so many refunds. We do not have the manpower to process them." And yet most vacations are put on credit cards that charge HIGH interest, that I have to pay. We have traveled Apple Vacations many times in the past. NEVER AGAIN, there is no reasoning for the company holding on to the refunds. Will we truly get them in 90 days or will they decide they need it for another 90 days for their cash flow and not worry about the customers' cash flow. I am sure the customers need this money for living expenses more than Apple Vacations. Their executives I am sure are not missing a meal or the opportunity to pay their bills. What about all the customers that have lost their jobs due to Covid-19. This is obvious greed from Apple Vacations executives. It is also obvious humanity and their customers mean nothing to them.

Due to unforeseen circumstances with the corona virus, Apple Vacations customer service has no intention to help customers with their travel reservations. I booked a trip to depart to Mexico on March 30th. I spoke with a representative a week ago to figure out my options and cancellation. They only gave me the option to rebook the trip for this year. I called again, gave me same answer. Mind you, first call I was on hold for 2 hours and 40 minutes and the second call was 1 hour and 14 minutes. I don’t have any more vacation time to be used for this year with my job, so how can I rebook if I can only go the time that it’s already scheduled. Not only that but the government in Mexico is saying they will be shutting down their border to quarantine and not allow anyone into Mexico! How does apple vacations not understand these travel limitations and have no regards in helping their long time customers!

I booked a handful of reservations through them throughout the years and even had my wedding planned through them! Obviously loyal customers dont mean anything to them. We are in crisis right now with a virus that is spreading all over the world and all they care about is stealing people’s hard earned money. I would think because of these circumstances they would refund customers that are in this current situation. I am so disgusted by this company and will never book with them again. We always take family vacations together with many people in our group but going forward I will be giving my money to another company that respects and values their customers.

We requested that each room have two double sized beds; as we were pairing up in the rooms. We had four rooms total and they each only had one king size bed each. The resort Catalonia Riviera Maya was not able to switch our rooms as they were all booked. As Apple did not make sure our reservation was placed properly we all had to share beds for the entire week. Liking your friends is one thing; being forced to sleep with them in the same bed for a week is another thing. The resort also was not able to accept cash/credit for any purchases. All our purchases were lumped together and billed to our reservation. Therefore, we had to keep accurate details of the cost of our items and keep tabs on what each other owed.

It was stated on more than one time during the call that I wanted each to be the exact same thing. I even asked at the end of the call what number do I use to book our seating with Frontier airlines. I was given the wrong information. Now I'm able to book my seats and my in-laws are not. They have to wait until April when all the seats are taken. Our hope was to sit together as we have young kids but now they're going to have to be seated who knows where. Make sure you ask all questions even stupid ones because they record all calls. FYI -- this is the 2nd year in a row they've screwed up our seats on the plane. I thought last year was a fluke but I think it's their service level.

At one point we all received e-mails stating that we still did not pay for the trip. All of us were paid months ago. In my case, it took almost 1 month to get the issue resolved.

You do not work with only one contact and almost never get the same person to follow up. We had to go weeks without answers and even when we called and were promised that they will get back with us by the end of the business day, it took multiple additional calls to resolve issues. If you don't want any additional stress of planning a destination wedding, I would highly recommend not to go with this company.

Absolute nightmare to work with. I've been dealing with this company to correct my pricing since 8/9/19. It's now 10/11/19 and I've finally been able to speak with a manager to make sure everything is correct. I understand they were undergoing a system change, but their lack of planning should not be everyone else's problem.

I've been quoted 3 different prices, the first one they have no idea where it came from or how someone could have came up with that quote. I was randomly given a refund with no explanation except for "there's a glitch in the system". Wondering what else they've missed now, I spoke with a coordinator who told me the manager would call me. No call until I reached out AGAIN. The manager tells me the original price can't be honored because it was never correct and "she has no idea where it came from". She also tells me their system doesn't send out receipts for group reservations, so don't expect a breakdown in pricing or what you've already paid.

The amount of time spent trying to figure things out with this company is just NOT worth it. Book trips yourself or find a company with much better ratings. Unfortunately, this trip is for my friend's wedding and we had no choice but to book through Apple Vacations. This company has not offered to right this situation, nor do I expect them to. My brother is getting married and it is supposed to be a very happy event. However that has been marred by the very shady business practices of Apple Vacations. I booked the trip which was supposed to be a nice vacation for myself and my girlfriend. I told the travel agent what I wanted and received a quote per person that was acceptable. Additionally I inquired about travel insurance just in case. I paid for my trip and thought everything was fine. Prior to my departure my gf and I separated. When I attempted to cancel her portion of the trip they offered to refund the money in the form of a voucher however the voucher was going to be given to my ex even though I had paid for the trip.

After hours of arguing and being on hold they finally agreed to place the voucher in my name and allow me to use it. I then added a friend to go with me. She later got pregnant and decided a week in Hawaii would not be good for her and so once again I found myself on the phone arguing with Apple about giving a voucher in someone else name rather than refunding the price to myself. Additionally at this point I wanted to cancel not only the flight but also the hotel. I was told this would be an issue as I did not have travel insurance. Travel insurance which I had bought but they had forgotten to notate on their end. They then charged me again for the travel insurance which based on the quote I had received should have been included in the additional price I had already paid when changing the flights.

Again after several hours on hold and in this case days going back and forth on the phone they finally refunded a partial portion of the flight back to me but told me even though the price had been per person they would not be refunding the hotels cost back. To make matters worse I found out merely by accident that the car rental that I had been quoted had never been added to the trip either. Despite paying the quoted price that included the rental there was no rental on my trip. So once again several days of discussion and once again I am charged extra to get a car added to my trip that I had already paid for. Annoyed I began looking for another place to stay and when I called to cancel the hotel was told the only thing they would do is give me a credit to use them again. Beware of their bad business practices.

Our family (four of us) purchased a vacation to Moon Palace Resorts in Cancun for a trip in late July. We paid $5000 for airline and five nights at the resort. When we arrived, there was an awful sewage stench at the resort due to their Sargassum Seaweed problem. The smell permeated the whole resort, and was unbearable. The beach was unusable by any guest, and the smell made my wife nauseous and sick. We contacted Apple Vacations, and after many hours of trying to work with them and Moon Palace, Apple Vacations advised us to check out of the hotel the next morning and find a resort further north outside the seaweed zone. It was not one of their resorts, however, so we had to pay another $2000 out of pocket to stay at the new resort for the 4 remaining nights.

Apple Vacations assured us that they would refund 3 nights from the Moon Palace, and would work at getting us the 4th night reimbursed as well (Moon Palace was fighting against refunding the 4th night, even though we checked out before the noon checkout deadline). It's been a month since we returned from Cancun, and Apple Vacations is now refusing to give us any refund. In our emails to Apple Vacations, they told us that Moon Palace only charged Apple Vacations for two nights, but they are unable to give us a refund for the three nights they promised we would get. They offered to send us each a $100 travel voucher (to be used through them, of course) for our inconvenience, but $400 doesn't even come close to the extra money we had to spend to stay at a different resort.

It doesn't make sense to me - we paid for 5 nights at the Moon Palace, Moon Palace only charged them for 2 nights (which Apple Vacations admits), yet we are not getting any refund? What is Apple Vacations doing with the overpayment that we gave to them? We have been dealing with Customer Care Specialist Rohan **, who hasn't been any help. We have copies of emails with Apple Vacations and Rohan **, confirming that Moon Palace only billed Apple Vacations for two nights. Where is our refund?

We are a travel agency who has had experiences working with all airlines and tour operators for many years. However, we've been working with Apple Vacations recently and they provide the worst customer services ever. At first, we only need to use their VAX system to make bookings and it seems okay. However, Last month, we booked a Cancun all-inclusive tour for 8 people and we paid $4224.76. Then we wanted to book for the other 4 passengers but they said that they didn't have enough tickets for 12 people. So we decided to cancel and talked to their staff about the cancellation before we actually submitted. We asked them if there was any fee for cancellation and they said no because it was within 24-hours cancellation and we would receive a full refund. Then we rebooked the whole group (12 packages) with Expedia and it went smoothly.

However, 1 month passed and we didn't receive any refund from Apple Vacations. I called them to check and the first call was hung up in the middle, the second call went through with a promise to give us back the refund. A nice girl told me that she would call me back the day after to confirm. But on the day after, another girl called and informed us that they could only refund $2706.26 for the airfare, and the hotel cost of $1518 is non-refundable. After discussion, she said that we could hold off on finalizing the refund so we can request for the hotel cost, too. However, today, Aug 29th, 2019, I called them back to check on the case. Surprisingly, they already refunded the airfare amount without a solution to the hotel cost. I asked the phone operator to transfer me to the director. I was on hold for about an hour before talking with Tracy.

She told me that she was the Director of the Call Center, and she is the highest manager of the whole company and even if I want to escalate to the business owners or CEO, their phones will be transferred to her. I told her the situation and she said that she knew it all. The hotel doesn't refund the money so we will lose it. When receiving my questions about the 24-hour full refund cancellation policy, she just said it was not for the hotel rule which is non-refunded. We explained to her that the passengers stayed at that hotel, too but they used the booking of Expedia and asked her why the information from the previous 4 employees was different. She said that it is the fault of the call center officers.

To me, it is unreasonable, because if there had been 1 person, she/he would have made a mistake. However, if all 4 people saying the same thing, the corporation must be hiding something unethical here. And even though she agreed that they were wrong, they still don't refund us the money and blame us for not being careful (while we already asked their staff before cancellation). That is a horrible practice by ignoring their clients, telling the wrong information, and not taking responsibilities for the mistakes. We never work with them again. Please stay away from them for any of your travel demand since you never know if they honor their policy or not.

Planned a wedding through Apple Vacations. Safe to say it is unlikely I will ever use the company again. While some things did go smoothly, and depending on who you talked to things might happen, the overall process was somewhat of a nightmare. The payment system Apple uses is extremely outdated and involves emailing them to get a link sent to you, waiting 48 hours, getting a payment link (that lasts 24 hours, then is invalid), and then when you pay it does not direct you to a page saying 'Thank you for your payment'.

It does not give you a payment confirmation, so it is impossible to know whether or not an actual payment has gone through. Requiring you to call them at which point they scramble to try to figure out whether you have paid, frequently telling people that had paid they hadn't and vice versa. Also, upon paying thousands of dollars one might expect a receipt, as is common... in every industry that exists. Apple's response to this is "That's not how our system works", which is just baffling to me.

On top of the payment system being a mess, the Apple representatives, depending on who you get, were a variety of rude, disrespectful and clueless. Frequently passing blame and always ending in the strategy of 'Can I have someone call you back' which almost never happened. While my trip did go smoothly, the amount of details I had to call to correct, confirm, and update despite them having been provided all information led to I would say roughly 8 hours of phone communication and over 100 emails sent.

Within the wedding package there are also promotions/refunds that are provided throughout the process. The contract pretty clearly states when they will be distributed, yet initiating the process required multiple phone calls and after being told "7-10 business days from the time it is sent to accounting" (Which seems too long as is, but I understand), the first refund took 22 business days and the second took 12-13 and required additional followup as well.

This is only a small portion of how the process went, and not all interactions were negative, but really every call is a roll of the dice who you will get, and jobs are constantly passed between representatives with no communication, and ultimately no results. I can not represent this company to anyone taking a vacation if you want a stress free process, and if you do, please double check every single detail of your trip - because accuracy was not my experience.

Terrible experience!!! Save yourself time and many many hassles by not booking with Apple Vacations. They screwed up every possible thing they could have with our trip. For starters they never even booked our trip!!!! I found out the night before that our online reservation never went through because their website was being serviced (one of the many lies we were told). Luckily, I decided to try and check us into our flights the night before instead of finding out that the trip wasn't booked at the airport. After sitting on hold with Apple for SIX HOURS the night before we were supposed to leave we FINALLY got rebooked. Who has six hours to sit on hold the night before their vacation?! What an awesome way to start our 'relaxing' vacation. When we booked the first time we received a confirmation email that night and another the following morning so there was no reason to believe that there was an issue with our booking.

When we arrived at the hotel we asked about the $670 in resort credits that we were suppose to get with the trip and of course that never happened. We booked a hotel with 6 or 7 apples and fabulous reviews regarding the food. The food was GOD AWFUL! We spent the extra money to book an all-inclusive and had to travel off site to eat. I could not eat the hotel food unless I wanted to vomit nonstop which happened the entire trip. The drinks were cheap, sugar filled, watered down garbage. Not one review on the Apple site mentioned anything even remotely negative about the food HMMMMMM?? A friend of mine traveled to the same resort a week prior to myself and experienced the exact same symptoms.

We never received our shuttle back to the airport which was suppose to be included (this cost us over around $130 in cash). When we asked about the shuttle and resort credits upon arrival we were just given the brush off. Of course we were charged plenty of extra baggage and flight fees for having to book the night before. When we returned home and my vomiting subsided (about a week later and some antibiotics) I emailed Apple to explain our experience. I wanted to give them a chance to make things right before writing this review. I did not call because I was not going to sit on hold for several hours again. To add insult to injury they proceeded to blame us for the booking problem, stating that it was an issue with our credit card. There was absolutely no issues with our card and they had already admitted on the phone prior to our trip that it was their fault.

Apple did not care at all that every single thing went wrong. In typical Apple Vacations fashion we were ignored. PLEASE save yourself an awful vacation and book everything yourself. They doctor all of their reviews! They keep deleting their terrible yelp reviews and don't allow customers to leave real reviews anywhere. The 'resort credits' are a SCAM just like APPLE VACATIONS.

We found our same flights $1317.12 cheaper on United Airlines website, and they didn’t price match it because after 24 hr of original booking the price match can only be done from Apple Vacation website prices. So you can find hotel and flights cheap in 10 different sites. And it won’t matter. They grant you any promotion from Apple Vacation that you didn’t get. Don’t matter if you found your same vacation. We've used Apple in the past (10 yrs ago) and all went ok though we didn't require anything outside of the ticket order. This time, I'm simply trying to access my ticket for our trip leaving tomorrow morning and somehow it won't access my password and it keeps saying technical difficulties. I'm leaving in the morning - this is frustrating that I have to provide the information to Apple that is the whole reason I'm contacting them. The women "helping" me, disconnected the call after I had waited a long time for assistance.

The website was supposed to send me an email to reset my password, which it didn't. I really don't know what service Apple provided. We should have paid less and booked directly as they have not been available to assist with anything. This is not even to mention the first agent I spoke with about booking gave me incorrect information. The call back during the week - business hours, sent me to a more knowledgeable person. We won't be booking with Apple next time.

    Thanks for your vote!
